I have found taxis from the airport to Moema very expensive. In my last trip October last year I actually took the train but it was very inconvenient with luggage and won't do it again.

Because of Covid, deciding on the trip was not an easy decision but been working every day for past ten months and just needed it. This was my first time in Sao Paulo and wanted to make this trip report for any newbies visiting this city in near future. You can also check out my trip reports for Rio, Medellin, Cali, Panama City as well.
General.
Mosquitos- Had a same issue in Rio but if you are staying in Airbnb apt with open window balcony, make sure to buy a mosquito spray the first day and spray all over the place (especially the curtain area next to balcony door). Woke up after first night and was raped by these little bastards.
Area of stay- Stayed in Vila Olimpia area where it is considered one of high-end neighborhood. Beautiful skyscrapers and felt safe during all hours and highly recommend.
Travel insurance- Purchased the travel insurance from Seven Corner https://www.sevencorners.com/ Make sure to pick the plan under Liaison Travel Plus which covers the Covid medical bills and cost was only about $20 for the whole week.
Flight- My return scheduled flight changed two times during my stay and make sure to check the emails from the air carrier. Understand that time is different, but it would be suck going to airport not knowing the flight has been cancelled.
Copy of passport- Make sure to make a copy of passport so you can use as ID. When entering Scandallo or visiting escorts, front desk usually asks for ID and this makes a huge convenience instead of carrying the actual passport.
Clinica- Highly recommend both Miruna and Abbbora which they are close by around the corners. Miruna and Clinica Brooklin are open on Sundays and expect many guys at the waiting room. It seems all Moema clinicas are charging R230 per HR. And Abbbora will ask R260 for certain girls. Had a little Clinica run with member XXL and one of laughable moment was at Palms Clinica which supposed to be the high-end place with R300 per HR. At Palms, there isn't any girl presentation in person, but you can check out the available girls by using the tablets. It was just funny since the girls from the tablet weren't all that attractive. If I had more time, might of went back to session since the place looked high-end and located in Vila Olimpia where I was staying.
Scandallo- Finally, all these years of hearing about this place and it exceeded my expectation as for the venue goes. Everything was more that I have imagined except for the girl quality. I was expecting all the same quality girls from Instagram that I follow but was disappointed. There weren't any stunners and few pretty ones were always busy with other customers. And, noticed many Asian customers where it was kind of surprising (I know Sao Paulo has major asian population but wow). During my week stay, visited three times and saw many of same girls. On Saturday before 7 pm, entry was R200 instead of normal R150. It has been discussed many times, but pricing before 7 pm, R150 entry (all goes towards to consumption), Room R230 and girls asking R500 to 800. During my visits, the girls accepted R400 happily which was somewhat surprising since heard price was a bit higher.
Connection- This place was too far from where I was staying, almost 40 minutes by Uber. Certainly, more partier vibe than Scandallo. Members mentioned about same owner from Scandallo owning the place and it is probably true since the rooms are identical (all button control setting). If I can remember correctly, the entry was R50, room R120 and girls were asking R300-500. The girls were doable and think it is worthy of visit. The club also have card tables and many people were playing in the back of club with proper chips.
Bahamas Club- Smaller club in Moema. The place is somewhat old and laidback but it was kept in good shape and classy where it reminds of old high-end hotel in New York. There weren't many girls and didn't see any 9-10's. Session with big tits girl there and saw the same girl again at Scandallo next two nights. Since Connection and Scandallo were only place available to my knowledge, wasn't a bad idea to check this place out. Just note that even with killer currency, you will spend some money when visiting night spots such as Scandallo and connection on a nightly basis. If you are thinking about making the trip, just do it.

Seems like the amount of women is larger in SP at the very least. With that being said, some have said that the ambiance of Rio is more laid back and enjoyable than SP. As someone who enjoys darker skinned women, I also asked if Rio has a greater selection of negras and mulattas. I had mixed responses, as some said yes and some said that SP has enough to whet my appetite.

AirBnb should have a policy about this instead of making a show of carbon monoxide detectors and whatnot.Because I've made several trips to Cuba I had to carry large amounts of cash as ATMs don't work for Americans there. I split up my bankroll and hide it 8 to 10 places between all my belongings and me. So that even if I was robbed they would probably find one stash and think that is THE stash. This system now works so well for me I prefer to use it over the lock boxes excpet when I'm in Medellin and renting longer term. And even then I still keep several stashes separate from the lock box. Something unsettling about having everything in one metal box screwed to a shelf exactly where a thief would know to target.

I have been skipping around the SP thread's more recent reports. There really hasn't been a great deal of explicit comparisons of the negras and mulattas populations between Sao Paulo and Rio so far. I have read more reports that mention negras in the prives in the Rio thread than the reports I've read in the SP thread. I have also been basing my assumption that Rio has a greater negras population on the selection of ads on Photo.
The reason why I opened up my question about a comparison between the two cities is largely because my biggest concern was the availability of negras and mulattas in SP. I had read through many of Rovnak's posts (apologies for name dropping. If you stumble across this post and would not like your name associated with it, Rovnak, please PM me and I will delete this) and saw his opinion (post #7847 made on 01-21-17) on the debate between the two cities. He stated that SP had larger top-end and medium-end clubs compared to Rio. He stated that SP was much more late-night friendly, with significant discounts possibly being available later in the night. He stated that SP's days of operation were M-Sat, with some available on Sunday, while Rio was typically M-F. He stated that takeout is an option in the top clubs of SP, while it is not an option in the top clubs of Rio.

Both are over the top, premium venues, the best in the area. A few differences I have noticed having been to Scandallo four times and Hong Kong twice:
Atmosphere: Hong Kong has more of a strip club vibe, with the girls dancing on the poles and the foam shows that you mentioned. Scandallo has more of a nightclub vibe, and the place is larger so it is possible to find somewhere quieter if you want to talk to a girl.

On average last week, I paid 600 R for one hour or 1500 R for the whole day. Previous weeks, I was paying 500 R for one hour or 800 R for the night. I was in Brazil (RJ / SP) for about a month back in October and loved my time. Half the establishments were closed but I still make due with what I had. I linked up with my 10 who I've stayed in contact through the last 2 years and we had a blast. I was one of the reports stating that Scandallo has dropped in talent during this pandemic. Three years ago I ended up staying for 35 days for a trip that was originally only 3 weeks. That trip was split. SP first, then Rio, and back for a week at SP. I was having such a good time I had to extend 2 more weeks. I was using miles too so it was an easy swap of the return date.
I just booked another trip for next week. Now it's just a matter of which hotel (over AirBnB). In the past I stayed at The Bourbon Convention which was really nice. It was around 400 reais a night. Now it's showing for half that price. But I want to choose another hotel to mix it up and see some new restaurants & bars as well.

I do not care what anyone says. Thanks for the info, Steve. I am really up for this trip. Upon arrival in SP, I plan to hit the Clinca Abbobora & Scandallo, but after that who knows where I will go and who I will do because when I like a particular parlor, a bar, or club, I tend to go back often not to do any one girl, but to sample around. Yeah I absolutely love the food here, and you cannot beat the value. Most of my meals are like 25-30 reals for a small steak, fries, juice and / or coffee. And the juices are just insane, freshly squeezed, you have the option for with milk and added sugar (strawberry juice with milk is great). Lots of good sandwich options. Not a lot of street vendors here in Itaim, although I found one guy who was doing BBQ skewers outside a restaurant (actually it was all part of the restaurant technically, the guy was just an employee). 7 reals for a juicy BBQ beef skewer. My hotel has a nice buffet breakfast, even with the pandemic, it's a little restrictive because everything needs to be wrapped but its fine. Haven't tried too many upscale places, I mostly eat at locals joints, but there appears to be no shortage of fine dining and more expensive places as well. One novelty here I haven't seen anywhere else is they have buffets, but you pay per 100 g. It's actually a kind of interesting idea, gives you the selection and choice but at the same time you don't feel like you have to eat your money's worth. A lot of the nicer places are going to menu's only on your smartphone, which is a bit of the pain in the ass because it's not that easy to get a working SIM card as a tourist. Most places seem to want your tax number.

Ueber has started rejecting my credit card all of a sudden. It seems to be still working with Uebereats though. It also works 1 time out of 5 after I reenter it into the system. The alternative to Ueber in Brazil is Taxi 99 but it didn't work after I downloaded it. I see on the Google Play comments that it doesn't work with Android.

During my last trip, instead of bringing a bunch of cash with me, I just used ATMs that I considered to be safe (nothing on the street). I routinely checked my account for any funny business, and again no problems. Before I departed the USA, I alerted the bank that I would be traveling to Brazil (also key to not experiencing any issues).

Incidentally, Ueber in Brazil has a very bizarre feature in case drivers have no change. I tended a 50-R banknote to pay for a 10-R ride but the driver told me he had no change and I had better pay on the next ride! A very interesting clearing feature. As it happened though, when I called the next ride Ueber asked me "you still owe this amount, do you want to settle now?" I said yes and lo and behold, my credit card was accepted. In other words my credit card got through on the delayed payment. Right after that it was rejected again on the upfront payment for the next ride.

I've been using this card in Brazil for two and a half months now. Uber has also prompted me to install two-step authorization but without making it a requirement. What it often did until a couple of weeks ago was to send a verification SMS before the ride could begin. It did so quite often, at least every third ride. Now it has stopped doing so for whatever reason, maybe that's not a good sign. I'll be in Peru a week from now so I'm going to pay cash until then. Once in Peru I'll delete my account and start from scratch with my Peru number and another credit card. Even creating a new Uber account is tricky because from what I have read if you use the same phone number OR the same e-mail OR the same credit card Uber may block you. I understand the fraud issues but couldn't they have a real online customer service, at least for power users like me? They're still not profitable after all those years, no wonder if they estrange their best customers through kafkaesque practices.
I'm not too keen on the Uber gift card idea. What if I buy a gift card an Uber rejects it like it did my credit card?

This observation was confirmed by a Scandallo girl, who said that on Saturday nights, the married guys have to be with their families.

I am very interested to hear what is your experience there during Christmas and New Years. Was planning to go there then, but got to wait till Jan. For the prices of the longer term 24 hours, the prices you mentioned are what I was quoted also.
