Actually, I found Saturday nights to be more quiet at Scandallo than Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. This observation was confirmed by a Scandallo girl, who said that on Saturday nights, the married guys have to be with their families.My (pre Covid) experience was same. Therefore, on Sunday, I arrange for the girls to come to my place via Whatsapp. I have never been to any clinicas so I don't know whether they are open or closed on Sunday.

I usually fly out on a Wednesday DFW-GRU. Most of my trips are for my work and for my company. I land in GRU Thurs morning, grab a connecting flight to SDU and then get started on work. Usually done by the evening, I spend the night in Copacabana and then head to GRU the next day.
Arrive by the afternoon, check in to the hotel and have the girl come over by 5/6 pm. That is all pre-arranged. Then the weekend begins and I leave Sunday evening back to GRU around 730/8 pm.
I find that I usually get bored of the girls by Sunday evening so the short weekends are perfect and I get what I need.

There is a lot of discussion on these boards about prices. Everyone is entitled to an opinion of course. Here is mine.
1. Clinicas and fixed price venues eliminate the need for price anxiety. There is no "gringo tax". The prices are clearly stated and apply to all customers, locals and visitors. The only difference in pricing result from "forista" discounts that are available to posters on local forum, and "customer loyalty programs".
2. A lot being written about favorable exchange rate. But in the interest of not souring the milk for locals and future visitors (which may be you), think twice before splashing cash just because its cheaper than "home". The girls are not expecting you to pay more because your home currency is strong. They want the most they can get but they are not going to hold up the exchange rate as a reason. If they do, run away as that is a true mercenary. Become familiar with the local prices and act accordingly. Moderation applies, no need to be a dick and haggle for the lowest price possible, nor preemptively pay too much just because you have the cash fo flash.
3. Personally, I don't like to pay for more than 2 hours. All night or 2 hour payments are really paying for "company" not sex. I would rather have 2 sex filled hours and be done. I don't believe in paying for non sexual company. If the girl is willing to stay longer "a vontade" (at will) then great but I don't pay them to talk and eat and cuddle.
4. Price definitely does not equate to quality of looks nor service except in terms of the three tiers. Trash (100), mid tier (100-300), luxury ( 300). I find that the diamonds in the mid tier are the best, not just in terms of value but in terms of sex. I know that avenida. I once walked from Enjoy Clinica to Abobbora (8 minutes on Google) which required crossing the avenida dos Bandeirantes. It was not nice. No pedestrian crossings, I had to wait at a spot where traffic eventually backed up due to red lights somewhere further down, then thread my way between half-moving vehicles to the no man's land separating both sets of lanes. Then repeat to finally reach the other shore. I swore never again and from then on I called an Uber to cover what looked on Google maps like a 8 minutes' stroll.
Of course you might be lucky and catch the avenida dos Bandeirantes so hopelessly backed up you can just walk through at your leisure but I advise to use one of the taxis ("taxi commun"). They have a meter and are only 20% more expensive than an Uber.
Sao Paulo is not a bad city to walk except precisely around such multi-lane roads.
In fact Enjoy clinic would be more within reach (rua Condessa do Pinhal 279). Some good girls there.

I finally made it to the lovely Sao Paulo. After staying for a few days, I can share some purely subjective first impressions:
- Entry procedures: no drama whatsoever, asked how long I am staying, stamped the passport. No covid questions.
- The city overall seems more "open" rather than "closed. " Generally, bars and restaurants that I've seen open before covid are still open now. Even MASP is open.

- Prices are approximately the same as I remember them from a year ago.
I've visited my usual clinicas: Red, Tangara, Aboborra, Enjoy, Nova Ceci. Also went to Miruna and the new 57. Basically there's some "old" talent and some "new" talent, enough to keep my attention. Struggling to choose an insurance policy for my trip on 30th January, that's if travel is even allowed from the UK at that time.
None of the insurers I can find in the UK will cover you abroad if you travel to a country where nothing but essential travel is advised but some of them would cover me if I failed the PCR test and wasn't allowed to board the plane.
Someone on this website recommend Safety Wing who would cover me in Brazil but I asked them if they'd cover me if I failed the PCR test and their employee said 'no'.
Unless I can find a company which would cover me for both, I might have to book a policy with each of the companies for my trip.
Does anyone have any better ideas?

I remember they checked my vaccination card too. Sometime between then and now, the requirement was removed. Your point of departure definitely can make a difference, depending on the country and where you are traveling from. So, it's important to see what's required for your point of departure. Currently, there are no vaccinations required for entry into Brazil from the United States, but many are recommended, including yellow fever. I already have that shot, so no skin off my teeth:

I am planning a trip in the spring and debating between Grand Hyatt and Renaissance. After hearing your story, I might just pay the premium and stay at the Renaissance. It almost sounds like they were trying to take advantage of you as they knew she was a pro. This is the first time I've ever heard of where someone books double occupancy rate room. And charge a guest fee for the 2nd guest.

It's been my experience that it's always best to get cash from atms at airports as soon as you land. As long as you select local currency, it'll be the current exchange rate. Just make sure to use a card without fx fees and no ATM fees. Using a hotel is rarely a good route to take. With all that said, was shocked they wanted to charge you 10%.

I am planning a trip in the spring and debating between Grand Hyatt and Renaissance. After hearing your story, I might just pay the premium and stay at the Renaissance. I tweaked the map of Sao Paulo (courtesy of World Traveler) and added different groups / icons for Clinicas, Boates (not sure if this differs from "Clubs" Clubs, Swinger Clubs, Prives, Love Hotels, Other, Hotels / Neighborhoods / Airports). What I don't like about Google My Maps is the integration with Google Maps for directions, which sucks!. I thought it'd integrate just fine, but it doesn't, it almost defeats the purpose of why I updated the map. I'm slowly moving these things over to Google Maps, which sucks because you don't have visible groupings with individual icons.
I feel the map could use some more input / updates as for as:
1) Girl Friendly Hotels, I know it's listed in this forum, just haven't gone through, and include with notes if they charge more, etc.
2) Girl Friendly AirBnbs.
3) Maybe Sub Groups in the areas, High / Mid / Low, recent ratings, number of reviews, etc. (lots to maintain).

My trip has been weird. I'm here on business and every time I decided to hit up a clinica I had to jump on a call or put out a work related fire. I stayed at the Renaissance in November and had no problems. Only the main entrance was open so I couldn't go down and bring the girl in through the side or back but wasn't issue. In general I liked the property and would stay there again. As with the JW in Rio the lounge was closed so no freebies which was disappointing since I had finally hit platinum status with marriott. Every night you could request a bottle of wine or bucket of beers for free since the club was closed, came in handy with the girls.
I use a schwab card exclusively, but I did make the mistake on my first withdraw at the airport and didn't pay close enough attention and let them do the currency conversion. Big mistake. The 1 k BRL withdraw from that was 212.41 USD (includes fees that schwab reimburses), the regular ones the rest of the trip between 185-194 USD. Was one of those things right after I touched agree my mind kicked in and said "wait, what? Was too sleep deprived at that point and doing bad with getting a flight to Rio and just got flustered, live and learn.
I am planning a trip in the spring and debating between Grand Hyatt and Renaissance. After hearing your story, I might just pay the premium and stay at the Renaissance. It almost sounds like they were trying to take advantage of you as they knew she was a pro. This is the first time I've ever heard of where someone books double occupancy rate room. And charge a guest fee for the 2nd guest.
Are you sure you paid the double occupancy rate? Also, is this the first "guest" you had come up? It sounds like you didn't go down to meet her. I also presume you met her in the evening. Just curious whether there were other mitigating circumstances or they just made shit up to take advantage of a monger.

It's been my experience that it's always best to get cash from atms at airports as soon as you land. As long as you select local currency, it'll be the current exchange rate. Somewhere in your reportage you compared Scandallo to the Macau Saunas. Yes, they are both Bordellos (in-house) and they each have a lot of attractive girls, but I think that is where the comparison ends. Your question regarding MSOG in SP is a valid one. In Rio, all providers I met offered it by default. One hour meant just that. In SP, the providers seem to behave more like in the US, where it is not likely to happen if you don't specify ahead of time. Only one provider out of five offered MSOG without asking, before I learnt my lesson.

Scandallo is the absolute top in all of Brasil so you shouldn't use that as an indicator of pricing other than what the top is. Granted the top in Rio, which I think is centarus, is a lot cheaper, probably half of Scandallo depending on options, is also a lot less in club and girls. In Scandallo you are certainly paying some for the fancy environment. Read on anything in the SP forum not scans and it's going to be cheaper.

Happened upon my tip sheet from 2018. Sort of a Clift's notes of RTTF. As you guys gear up for a totally debauched recovery year in 2021, maybe a few will prove useful:
Use cash when you can — there are super high card fees in many clubs. But here is the rub. Unlike other civilized countries the hotels don't all have cash machines and the bank ones are locked up at 10 PM. So if you get horny at 11 PM, you are going to be using credit. Get your cash during the day so you are ready at night. Oh and beware not all the love motels take American plastic. Almost got stuck at one (u pay at the end) until we scrounged a few bills. Whew.
The Brasileira bunda (butt) is a real thing. Never seen anything like it and it's a real draw. Tiny waist but nice really round butt. It's amazing because it is large but not fat. Firm but not hard like you get in the gym. It is a sort of magical creation.
Take Uber everywhere. It is so cheap you don't even need to budget for it.
The boates don't get rolling till late. If you go at 11 you will be early. If you are still there at 3 you will have plenty of company.
Learn basic Português. This totally changes the vibe. They are so impressed that you bothered they already like you better. And it really helps make it all less awkward. You can learn enough to be dangerous in 10-15 hours of content. So say a month at a half hour a day. Do it on your commute. It is an investment worth making.

Thanks.Not Friday, but next Monday for example is a special holiday ("City of Sao Paulo day") so it is included. Never head of Mercado Municipal. I was wrong about restaurants, they open for a short span for lunch and dinner. So it is not too bad provided restrictions don't get worse and worse.
I miss shopping malls since the food courts were not only good value but also an ideal spot for a lone monger to eat quietly on his own while getting an eyeful of the local female population. Many upmarket restaurants in Sao Paulo are not too keen to give one of their best tables to an old fart like me.
