Must be some security glitch, I just switched Samsung phones and used smart switch a native app, it transferred everything on to my new phone without deactivating the old phone account so I got messages on one or the other phone but not duplicates.

I'm planning a second trip to Sao Paulo in the near future, and clinicas were my go-to. However while I was often shown pictures on a phone in house, I didn't really realize they have like a Whatsapp group where they send out pictures of the girls working. Random question, but if I text the clinicas whatsapp number to get in those groups, what should I say? I'm sure I could figure it out while I'm down there, but it'd be nice to hit the ground running. Thanks.For many of the clinicas, I able to get added to the clinicas WhatsApp status group by texting them. I just ask them to please add me to their WhatsApp status in Portuguese. Some clinicas will only add you when you are physically there at the reception.

The local younger guys really show up in force on this night and it is harder but not impossible to land good talent. There's just way too much competition on the Saturday night club floor. I wish I could provide an estimated male: female ratio during my last time there but I will say that there were way way way more punters than Garotas on the clock. Strolled down there with my wingman after arriving around midnight and we didn't even honor our consumption cards. We took 2-3 laps and were on our way. I love casaro but will continue avoiding going there on Saturdays from now on. I've been there on Saturdays in the past and it's the same scene every time. I should've known better to hit up the casarao on a Saturday night but I had just arrived in town and wanted to visit and scope the new renovations and club upgrades made during the covid shutdown.

I believe Baires Girls is probably the best bet and has a nice (general area map, where the girls state they work from). BA isn't like Sao Paulo in the slightest and will take a little more work than other mongering locations. Nice girl, very little English, but google translate always helps. She stayed well beyond what I asked for and to be honest we had a good connection and I had to kick her out in the end as I needed sleep after a very long days travel. I believe she would have stuck around for much longer.
Have taken her details and she is very keen for another session before I depart.
From my two visits to Café Photo – I would say if you wanted a relaxed, smaller version of Scandallo then this is a good option. Not quite as pretentious or chaotic as Scandallo and you can generally see all of the talent on offer from any vantage point in the bar. WIR – absolutely the next time I'm in town.

Well, all of the hype in this forum is well deserved. Huge place, with mega loads of talent. I visited on a Saturday night – again F1 crowd in town so the place was jam packed. Ratios still good though, with plenty of girls wandering or lounging waiting for the approach of the punters.
Given the crowd I went outside to the smoking area, grabbed a table by myself and waited. Inevitability a wandering girl made eye contact and the smile (God I hate the smile – it either means she likes the look of me or sees me as easy prey – not quite sure which one it is yet). Beautiful blonde girl, not heavy but not waif thin approached, and we started the verbal negotiations. She claimed she was in town from Salvador and was her first time in Scandallo (B. S – never believe these stories from a girl in Scandallo). Eventually a friend of hers came over, started chatting with her as well and decided a threesome was in order. There were no high-pressure tactics for this – and I'm experienced enough to know if I'm being taken for a ride and at every stage the girls said I could take one or both – the choice was mine. So, I appreciated the openness. We had a few google translate mishaps and laughs and eventually got round to pricing. 2500 for both for the hour was the starting price, but they dropped to 2000 for both as they said they liked me. Not sure if those rates are accurate, but I don't mind paying this much if the connection is good and it's at least an attempt at a little more than just a pure business transaction.
Ok so the rest of the report will be for the newbies who have not been to Scandallo before – and given the number of things going on can be confusing for new punters. Old hands, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong in any of my descriptions or figures.
I forget what the minimum consumption was – and to be fair it doesn't matter anyway – if you want in you pay it, simple as that.
Once an agreement has been made with the lady of your choice, you have two options – stay onsite in the love hotel or outcall to your hotel. We should all be experienced with the outcall, so here is the onsite description.
The girl will guide you to the lobby of the love hotel. You don't pay anything here, rather they will state the hotel rates and will ask you if you have paid (or will be) paying the girl with cash. If you have no cash, fear not as most girls have some cash card (not sure of the name, apologies) and you can make a payment after the act via your credit / debit card. Be aware though that Scandallo / Hotel will take a 10% fee (of the girl rate) for the transaction.
Once all is confirmed at the reception you head up the elevator to the assigned room. The room was adequate, nice, tidy and had double shower and toilet. Clean sheets and the ladies were given a couple of latex each.
Onto the action – I've had multiple threesomes before in my life, and to be fair I don't really like them, always too much going on, hands and bits everywhere. In this instance though it was pretty good – the girls being friends had a great connection with each other and I was experienced enough to keep them both entertained. So, all in all it was not too bad. I did especially enjoy having a fair, blonde-haired girl, lying right beside her dark afro-Brazilian friend, while I got to pick and choose who and what I wanted to do. Managed to use all the allotted time, and had to quickly finish up in the end.
Clean up and head back downstairs with the ladies. Reception will then request the room card back and you will then make your payment here. Be aware, the payment here is only for the use of the room, the payment of the girls (if you are paying on card – again remember the 10% additional fee). The payment for Scandallo entry and min. Consumption is paid on the exit of the club.
Overall, the Scandallo experience is fantastic. Not having to worry about a girl friendly hotel or having to kick a girl out later is a much better prospect. The sheer volume of options as well has other places beat, hands down. Yes, you pay a premium, but you get what you pay for. Honestly, as others have mentioned here, if you short on time, don't mess about with online etc, just go to Scandallo.
So that's it in a nutshell lads. I have a couple more days in SP, so will be calling on the previously mentioned girl to come to the hotel for some proper GFE. I will be seriously lobbying my company to get me back out to Brasil ASAP.

Could someone with recent experience on the ground provide a summary of rough pricing at the moment with regards to the different venues? I understand that in some cases its negotiated, but it would be good to get a recent summary of where prices typically average out at.

You pay for the room at the minimum of 1 hour but there is no limit on how long you can stay. They prorate it when the time is more than an hour so you don't need to hurry. You can order room service to the room too. I only went over once. There were times that I took girls to love motel and the ones I took weren't watching the clock and we never talked about how long either but it was for one pop usually.

Cheers.Scandallo is difficult to determine because the price range is very wide based on various factors. I think you can negotiate the best deal when you negotiate overnight or multi-day. The regular will cost less. I think around 500 but you have to figure out which one is the regular first. Just give you an example, I repeated with a couple of girls several time my last trip. One I sessioned maybe 4 or 5 times at 1000 each which doubles the amount I paid the trip before. I think I maybe able to get her for 4 or 5 days for the total amount I paid. To me she was hot and has some rare characteristic so I just skipped the negotiation LOL. I was partially conditioned by the pricing posted here. I will negotiate hard next time given what I know now.
You can get more Casarao pricing detail on GPGui but when you see a real hot one, she may ask double the usual price.

That's not just around pricing, but its around what's a typical expectations. In some places multiple shots within a timeframe are normal, in others its a rate for one completion. In some places its hourly, others its based on what you agree to. Then you have the different venues and scenes too, so it can be a bit daunting.

Here a show in a funk club, years before pandemics. You may notice is a club for locals only and would suggest to go with a local and try not to take anybody's GF. It can go really wrong.
Place full of motoboys (bike delivery guys), public school and university students, etc etc etc. Not the Scandallo or Cafe Photo guys for sure.

I'm a bit confused by the challenge of finding info on Scandallo. For the most part, Scandallo is mentioned in great detail here all the time almost on a daily basis. The amount paid to girls varies from monger to monger because that's generally true of freelance clubs.
While ISG is more loosely organized, all forums have their quirks that you have to navigate. I've had success using the ISG search function. I don't know if I have gotten better at searching topics or the ISG search function has gotten better. Probably both.
There's nothing funnier than a newbie telling the forum he has been exhaustively researching and can't find the information when the topic was just discussed in detail a couple of days ago. The membership tends to move past such exasperated posts.

Scandallo had 600 girls on Thursday and close to 700 on Friday however I have was disappointed because there were no bombshells like there was last year. So I ended up seeing girls I already knew that did not inflate their price because of F1. OK team, my last report for Sao Paulo as I have left the country. Hopefully I will be back soon enough and will keep an eye on this thread.
Last full day decided to kill some time and with Lotus Lounge not having the girl I wanted available, decided to head to Taj Mahal. This clinica doesn't seem to be well reviewed, so add this to slim pickings.
Decent looking place in Moema, about a 10 min ride from Vila Olimpia where I was staying. Lunch time visit and they had around 6 girls on offer. Price was 380 for cash and 410 for card. Chose a slim blonde spinner type and was shown to a room out the back courtyard. Place is tidy, supposed to look high end, but small details let it down. In the room and a tiny shower and bathroom. Toiletries on offer to freshen up. In the room the lights were dimmed low but flickering, like seriously epilepsy inducing. The bed had seen better days as every time I readjusted on it, it creaked and shifted.
Girl entered and music was put on. Obviously had a challenge with language so wasn't expecting a great connection. Mediocre massage (but that's not what we are there for) and then the flip. She went straight to work with an above average HJ. Unfortunately covered BJ to follow. Onto the main event and her being very small and me being double her size, didn't want to be too rough with her, and the action was tepid to start. After a bit of her directing the action, she started getting a little rougher, which suited me. So she just needed warming up.
Finished in the hat and job was done.
All in all a reasonable place in a decent area. For all its desire to be high end, is really a no frills pure transactional place with decent looking girls. Will have to try them again the next time I'm in town.

The last 10 days was at Renaissance which I stayed for free because of points. Cool hotel. The breakfast buffet was good. I was a silver elite but guy at the front desk gave me free breakfast. Margherita Pizzeria first time food was good and good fruit juices. Tordesilhas a typical Brazilian food restaurant I had my first feijoada taste here and was really good and their caipirinhas was too strong for my liking first time here and my friend took me here. Conde another typical Brazilian food restaurant was good too first time as well my friend took me to this. A good cheap option would be eating at the food courts in the malls. \par.
Random Thoughts:
Prices in mostly everything in Buenos Aires and sao paulo have gone up be wary of that but you guys probably know that. Speak some basic Portuguese at least because it can be helpful. But no, I monger in first and second world countries exclusively where relying on ATMs versus carrying a large sum of cash (like $7,000 or more) keeps me and my money far more safe and secure from theft and / or bodily harm. Seasoned international travelers know that relying upon pulling cash from ATM machines in places like a Germany or a Brazil (or even in the Philippines or Thailand) is the smarter way to go versus having thousands of dollars laying around (I trick off big bucks when I go bro). I always wondered about the SP prives and trash buildings (that's the name on GP-guia). Are there hidden gems there? How would you rate the top 10% girls in the prives / trash compared to top 10% girls in the clinicas. I've only hit the clinicas, and there still at least dozen clinicas on my to visit list. Perhaps if you are speaking about very poor countries or regions in Africa, Asia and Latin America, then you can't rely on ATMs. Brazil is not one of those countries. Sao Paulo nor Rio are certainly not one of those regions.
For most mongers, the Schwab ATM and others mentioned is the best advice. When it comes to hiding your trail, some of this might be necessary for a few and others it might be some paranoia. I think of my travel posse and one guy has a real reason for traveling with a wad of cash. He is in a cash business (legit) and he just takes cash out if the till (sort of speak) to finance his traveling and mongering.

A discussion with my Spanish language instructor revealed that Argentinians are skittish about credit card fraud on both ends of the transaction.
But, humor us a little and tell us just where you were forced to use your card, instead of cash.

Only the "24 h ATM" one with very high fees (24 real) and 1000 real limit worked for me so far.Darwin, if you are still having trouble withdrawing cash from Bradesco or Banco Santander using your TD Bank Debit card, I suggest you try the ATM Machine located inside the SP Grand Hyatt Hotel. It is my favorite ATM in SP because it allows withdrawals of up to 2300 br. Bradesco and Banco Santander limit me to 1500 br withdrawals even in their large branch offices on Ave Paulista and Ave Faria Lima.
Now once in a blue moon one of these ATM's may not dispense the money requested on account of it being out of cash. Shortages can happen, but the next day everything will work fine as it should. If this happens to you more than once at several different branches, I would definitely have a serious talk with your bank. I got to tell you, I am not a fan of TD Bank. I had an account with them a few years back in connection to a commercial piece of real estate I owned. I found TD Bank difficult to deal with compared to other banks I had business dealings with like Chase and Wells Fargo.

Every withdrawal attempt goes against your daily limit, keep it in mind. Once you exceed your daily limit every next attempt will show an error. Also, not every ATM at Bradesco's branch will dispense cash to you, only few machines on VISA system. Nothing you can do other than avoid busy mornings, long lines when ATMs may run out of cash, weekends etc, and always take pictures of the machine and errors screens. Do your withdrawals during Canadian business hours, mind time difference.

The reason is obvious to us so there wasn't even a discussion. Argentina needs dollars. When we pay 10 USD in credit card, we will pay the equivalnet of 5 USD in cash in peso. It's in the government's best interest to get tourists to pay in USD if they have a choice. The government put a large fee on Argentina credit card for USD purchase for the same reason so when you pay 10 USD in foreign purchase, it came out on the credit card bill as the equivalent of 20 USD in official exchange rate.

Most of my posts are sharing in nature and I wasn't even complaining. Instead, it is you go, but these are the situations that happened to me, see if you can do better knowing them. Most of the things I talked about is my real experience, for weeks if not months. I avoid talking things that I don't have experience about but I don't expect my experience would be the same as others.
I prefer making friends and I have made some great friends here. Frequently I am humbled by others' experience and knowledge. If you tell me you never get CBJ, I believe you because I have met people like that in person, and I won't be naive to think that is what I will get either.

I personally prefer cash for hobbying and credit card for everything else. I also don't bring too much cash with me when traveling and mainly use ATMs. I do carry spare emergency cash and the amount depends on location and length of stay.
There are lots of great advice provided by many BMs, but I think the best one the use of the Schwab card or other banks / accounts that refunds ATM fees.
I do want to disagree to some extent about merchants 1) preferring cash over CC and 2) that there aren't a lot of places that are cashless.
1).
Whether a business prefers cash or CC has a lot to do with their size, as well as geography. The larger the business, the more they prefer CC.
It is cheaper to deal with CC transactions as they don't need to worry about theft, security and it increases transaction time, which can lower labor costs. There are also other benefits that I am not listing for the business. The larger businesses also pay a smaller fee to the CC companies.
Some countries also cap CC fees / intresst rates and have more cashless options than just the major CC companies. Sweden is currently 80%+ cashless.
A smaller business, especially one that want to avoid taxes or do money laundering, would prefer cash and only offer CC payment to stay competitive.

Actually I should qualify some. At plenty of clinicas and termas in Brazil (and other sex joints too) you can settle everything up with a credit card if you want to, but I don't do that (don't have a comfort level using a card at most of those establishments), preferring instead where I can to pay direct mongering-related expenses in cash as much as possible, and other non-mongering expenses with a credit card. Besides, as has been noted before, when you settle up with a credit card at these brothels there's normally a fee added onto the bill making your outing that more expensive. That's another reason why I consider "cash mongering" to be king. You can save some money by going that route. The girls usually prefer cash. I like paying in cash. It works for me and it works for them. And if you need to "cover your trail" then there's another reason for why cash is better to pay for your mongering activities than using a credit card and having the evidence show up on a monthly statement.

As to the cash vs CC's debate, everyone can choose his own sword as far as I am concerned. I prefer CC's for most transactions. They are safe, convenient and allow me to spend as much as I like without any constraints. If any foul play should occur, I can easily call up the card company and report the fraudulent activity and everything will be taken care of. I is never a problem. If anything it was the other way around (cash and no credit). Why? The reason is because merchants have to pay a fee to the credit card companies for each transaction, and they don't like that. This place is and continues to be the gold standard for Sao Paulo, and if I had to guess the world. You can find any type of woman here with little effort, and the service is fantastic. I've been trying to drink less this trip so I tried out the restaurant, and the food is actually very good. In my experience R800/ HR can get you anyone in the place, and while I've had girls ask for more, nobody as of yet refused 800 if I was clear I was willing to walk. My biggest piece of advice for people new to Scandallo is this: say no. Very attractive women are going to approach you, they're going to be flirty and charming, and you're going to want to fuck them. Only girl I even inquired about a price from quoted me R800. I think I'm going to bite the bullet one night and drop in around 10 before I fly home, just so that I can cross this one off my list for sure. I want to like it because it's in walking distance of where I stay, and a mini Scandallo would be great, but so far it does not appear to be that.

Still a great time, and you can find some real all stars here. I'm noticing most of the girls start showing up around 2 pm, so just be aware you're rolling the dice if you go early. I once popped in at 12:30 and was told nobody was there yet, though that is unusual. Make sure to have the clinicas add you to their Whatsapp broadcast, but personally I don't recommend booking a girl from it until you've already seen her in person. Also note that you can pay with a credit card at a lot of places you might not expect, though its generally not worth it because they'll charge a 10% fee. Best of luck everyone, enjoy!

However, I was put in a room on the second floor at Abóbora once. And that room had a higher bed. The room was much bigger as well, with a huge shower space and even a mirror mounted on the ceiling. It was definitely more 'luxo' than the rooms on the first floor. The only thing I don't like about that room is its poorly lit so I normally stick with the rooms on the first floor. Next time you are there, you can try to ask the receptionist to see of she will let you get a room on the second floor.

The service in clinica is very good in general but it is not often that I get it like this. My purpose of posting this is to find out how often do you meet girls in clinica like this?I have also encountered people like this, albeit rarely. The Brazilian professional standard is already really good, in both a physical, energy, and focus sense. In the rare cases it also includes an inherent inner warmth that brings the potential for emotional attachment a lot higher. When I encounter people that are that next level, I try to do longer (2 hour) sessions in the clinicas. But not meet outside, because I did get burned once with emotional attachment, they are the easiest to fall for because if they tell you that you are the reason they are so warm and kind, because you make them feel appreciated, you fall for it LOL. So I have decided to limit myself when this happens to longer clinica sessions only and not keep in touch.
You did not visit Abbobora, my favorite clinica. The only thing I don't like about that clinica though is that there is no bed but rather a mattress on the floor which tends to restrict my variety of positions. This place is and continues to be the gold standard for Sao Paulo, and if I had to guess the world. You can find any type of woman here with little effort, and the service is fantastic. I've been trying to drink less this trip so I tried out the restaurant, and the food is actually very good. In my experience R800/ HR can get you anyone in the place, and while I've had girls ask for more, nobody as of yet refused 800 if I was clear I was willing to walk. My biggest piece of advice for people new to Scandallo is this: say no. Very attractive women are going to approach you, they're going to be flirty and charming, and you're going to want to fuck them. Anywhere else it wouldn't be a question, you'd say yes immediately, but you need to remember you're not anywhere else. So unless they're exactly what you want, say no, because 30 minutes later you will find your dream girl. In Scandallo you're surrounded by good options, but the price difference between good and great is almost nonexistent, so make sure you hold out for great. For an extended trip I tried to keep visits to 1/ week to help my wallet, but for a short trip I'd probably live here. Now that the rate is at 5 to 1 for some time now, reports mostly show that the girls are starting out asking for more. On one level the exchange rate should not matter, but we all know that it ultimately does. Not just for us, but for the tutes too. Try to drive some hard bargains, and maybe you will succeed. But with current rates it appears from reports that fewer of the Scandallo girls will be happy with a 600/ HR offer. Seems based on recent reporting one should be prepared to pay at least 800 minimum for one of the hotter Scandallo girls.

1. My airbnb admin requires me to send the full name and a document of every visitor I want to bring in. I guess in this case I'm not going to have any outcalls in this place, or perhaps there are some ways to trick them without exposing the girl's privacy?

Most luxury buildings in Brazil require people to give their IDS to be copied, photos taken and even fingerprints. This is very common and all the GPS know and do this. I've stayed in buildings that have tighter security than most banks with fingerprint access and double gated entry / driveway. I try to find an Airbnb that doesn't require advance submission, which is usually the host policy and not the building policy. If the guest policy is not clear, sometimes I would ask the host. I tell them I'm in SP for work and would it be ok for me to invite 1-2 coworkers over. I mention they will be quiet and will not use the common spaces. Hahaha.

Scandallo a few times and the rest once each Bomboa, cafe foto, Casarao, Bahamas. Picked up one each time pernoite except the hottie from Bomboa had her come over a few times.
Otherwise it was some repeat girls from previous visits and a few new ones from Scandallo. All pernoite with evenings out in the city dining clubbing etc. No hourly stuff, no clinicas just "GFE" type experiences. Do not feel the need for rushing around and quantity. Simply all relaxed evenings out.
Overall same repeat fun as previous trips. Only difference is that Scandallo prices are going through the roof, one even quoted 5 K pernoite haha. Also some of them were asking to be paid upfront got a polite tchau tchau from me, plenty of fish.

I think this price may stick eventually. I went to a Medellin club about a month ago. All quotes are in USD. The least amount is 200USD/hr and the most is 300USD/hr. The girls are not even attractive to me. This place used to be 200 mil COP. My guess is some tourists misunderstood 200 as 200 USD and paid that. Then it became a scam to trap tourists, and now it becomes a standard opening price. 200 USD in about 1 million COP in today's exchange rate.

I am going to try to make this as simple as possible:
Definitions: "Regular" Scandallo girls means girls that show up at Scandallo per schedule on prespecified nights, usually 4 nights a week. There are regular afternoon girls and regular evening girls. My Valerie is a "regular evening girl". She is expected to work 4 nights a week, 10 pm until closing time, and she must show up before 10 pm in order to avoid paying an entry fee of 200 br. Valerie is IMHO a "Tier Two" Scandallo girl meaning she is a very cute and sexy girl next door type who does not look like a hooker. She is never asked to register when I walk her through a 5-star hotel lobby.
By my definition "Tier one" Scandallo girls are model quality girls with natural bodies although if a girl has a really great naturally looking set of silly cones, I will still consider her Tier One as long as she is drop dead gorgeous. In any case "Tier One" Scandallo girls are smokin' hot and they know it. So, many Tier Ones are very popular and can ask very high prices. Some of these girls show up on a scheduled basis to avoid the entry fee, but other "Tier Ones" are true independent contractors and only show up when they feel like it and they don't mind paying the entry fee because their rate is very high.
Now It really doesn't matter if a customer knows if a girl is a "regular" or not because it is all in the price. If a girl asks for 1000 or less, she is Tier 2 or considers herself Tier 2 based on her popularity. A girl's popularity can be based on her looks, but it can also be based on the quality of her service. Local repeat customers talk to one another about their girls and a girl's reputation gets around. This is one of the main reasons service is so good at Scandallo and other boates. The locals keep the girls honest.
If a girl initially asks for 2000 or 1500, she is Tier 1 or considers herself Tier one or she has sized up the customer and thinks it is worth a try to ask an enormous amount. I should add that girls talk too and repeat customers will earn certain reputations after a while. I always like to book 3 weeks ahead of time at least to secure my place. The day before I left the host cancelled my booking because the building outlawed airbnb in their place. So I had to quickly fine something before my flight the next day. I ended up finding something but this new place you had smile at a camera, go down two floors, walk around the building, take two elevators, renounce your citizenship and enter a 8 digit passcode to get into the room. The AC / Heating unit wasn't working that well and remember this was in September when SP gets cold so it was cold! Make sure if you go to SP between September. January that your place has good heating or else you'll be shivering. I ended up getting another place.
Airbnbs in SP can be really good value but I can see why alot of guys here prefer a hotel as you won't encounter these issues.
If you do get a AirBNB make sure you do ask if you can bring a "friend" over. Some host won't allow it so that can cause issues. Some girls will only go to a hotel so that can be another con. Had that happen this trip. So plan accordingly.
LANAGUAGE.
I would highly recommend you learn a bit of porto before you land in Brazil.
Use duolingo, pimsluer, rosette stone or watch brazilian moves or listen to brazilian songs and really do your best to learn 15 mins a day.
It really impresses and chills these girls. Bradesco was the one I used alot and that worked for me the most. There are some ATMs that won't work with interational debit cards like the banco de brasil atms and a few others. There are 24 HR express shops called carrefour express that have ATMs that work with international debit cards so you can get some quick BRL if you need it. Some girls also have little card machines to have you pay them. Sometimes they charge you 10% sometimes they don't, depends on the girls mood or the size of your dick so I never had to pay that 10%. Some clinicas / boates charge 10% more if you use a card, some don't and some charge up to 30% for using your Credit card. If you use cash, some will give you a discount. Yes it can get cold in SP although AirBnB hosts will deny the absence of heating is a problem. Your AirBnB host may have cancelled because he got a better offer. How could this be since you had already booked? Well, some hosts advertise generic apartments they don't own (no address on AirBnB you see), then they cancel all biddings but the highest one. In my case the host didn't even bother to cancel, I was left on the pavement with my luggage, scrambling to go online and book a hotel for the night. AirBnB should clean their act and require hosts to specify the address for each advertised apartment.
No more AirBnBs in SP for me, except the one I know already if it happens to be available but it has no heating and I was miserable in it for some days in June. I thought I had done the clever thing in buying a cheap electric fan but not only did the fan fall off the table in the middle of the night under its own vibrations, but I got a terrible skin rash on my face at night when it was placed the floor. I assume the fan was blowing up some chemical-laden dust from the carpeting. It took me 2 sleepless antihistamine-swallowing night before I noticed it was the electric fan that caused the rash.

it can get cold in SP..XXL, damn straight. It can get cold in SP, but Airbnb's are not the only accommodations without heat. The only 5 star hotel I know of with a working thermostat able to provide heat and maintain a comfortable in-room temperature is the Grand Hyatt. I have frozen my ass off in other hotels like the Intercontinental for example. No heat. Lesson learned. I pack warm insulated clothing in my suitcase when I travel to SP like the Patagonia Better Sweater as well as base layer Capilene and Merino wool long sleeve crew shirts. Now Airbnb is simply into volume and they accept a certain percentage of bad experiences. I won't book an AirBnB apartment unless the unit and owner have many stellar reviews. Since people don't want to be publicly harsh in their reviews, you have to read between the lines. The stellar Airbnb owners can charge a bit more because of their good reputation.

I pack warm insulated clothing in my suitcase when I travel to SP like the Patagonia Better Sweater as well as base layer Capilene and Merino wool long sleeve crew shirts. On cold days it is like camping out in your hotel room.I took my very first trip to Sao Paulo during the winter months down there. AIRBNB / HOTEL.
I went with an AirBNB as I always do every trip and one of the host really fucked me good,
I always like to book 3 weeks ahead of time at least to secure my place. The day before I left the host cancelled my booking because the building outlawed airbnb in their place.
Yes it can get cold in SP although AirBnB hosts will deny the absence of heating is a problem.
I firmly believe that you should report to Airbnb all Issues as a result of your stay. You may not feel it makes a difference, but it does. As far as the individual Host I would state the obvious in my reviews. (i.e., This particular property has no heat and gets cold during the winter months, No AC during summer months, No running hot water, and etc.) A substandard review could prompt a Host to change / improve property.
If you have a good relationship with the Host let them know of your issues (I have known some to have made changes to properties per my suggestions) Some Hosts want to encourage rentals from (or target) certain customers whether from certain countries or certain socio-economic categories since they can charge more. (Example, Americans desire heat during the winter months, the host may consider adding heating devise (for future rentals) if you explained that it's an issue because they want more American guests.).

A lot of places have nice big ceiling to floor windows which give you a nice view of the skyline but also further lets the cold become a problem due to less insulation and no heat.

Stopped by Brooklyn Club Monday at about 10:30 PM. Was told by receptionist there were 11 girls inside. Entry is 20 Real, all consumable. All Monday Brahma and Skol cans 5 Real, the rest of the week only until 12 AM. After that beers are 11-20 real. All other drinks are 35 Real or more. Programs are 30 minutes 170 Real, 60 minutes 340 Real. Took advantage of the free look she offered and went inside. Two rooms: main room with the bar and semi-circular couches with tables, and another room with high-top tables and high chairs, both very dark, difficult to see faces. Place was dead: counted 6 girls and zero customers, so went back outside and asked receptionist why it was so dead. She said it was Monday and raining. I spent 15 days in SP and 2 in RJ. The first morning I woke up with flu which lasted one week and still after that I wasn't fully recovered. I managed to go four times to Bomboa and once to Scandallo. We drank a lot and had a dangerous ride in her car to my hotel where we drank more, ate chocolates and fucked. Bomboa is still my favorite boate.

Thanks.Went back Thursday night about 11 PM. Christmas party, so 20 Real entry (consumable) . Three buses from Av. Ibirapuera in Moema stop 250 meters form the bar. After 12:30 AM, buses are not direct anymore to return to Moema. Had my usual house drink (vodka and enegertico, usually 10 Real but tonight 20 Real). Place was packed. More than 80 girls at midnight, so probably about a hundred including the girls in the bathroom and doing rooms. A lot of chubby ones, but also many slim. Mostly average looking, but some quite pretty. At least as many guys. Lots of customers doing rooms. There was going top be a musical program at 2 AM but I did not want to hang around that long for it. Fun place to spend an hour or two for a low price, even if you don't do a room.
Having another Christmas party tonight, with the same musical program at the same time.

Cold hotel rooms / Apts without heat are a deal breaker for me. If it happens to rain, which it often does during winter days and nights, it pretty much guarantees a lack of any solid amount of action at a majority of the venues. From now on when I choose to visit Brazil in the the winter, I'm headed straight to the north, northeast or amazonas where the weather never gets cold.

I was supposed to arrive Christmas day but my flight leaving Christmas Evening was canceled. It is now scheduled for arrival on the 27th. So, with no plans I had some time to research. I do think that a R500 entry fee Just remember some portion of the R500 entry fee is for the consumption of food and or drinks.
When I went (after 7 PM) it was 500 R Entry of which 300 R was for consumption which mean the real entry portion is 200 R. Try to spend all of your food or drinks consumption amount. Try not to give the "House" extra revenue. Make sure you verify the consumption amount with the Front Desk when you enter and track / verify your food and or drink amounts when you order as you draw down the available consumption amount. Also, if you lose track of your available consumption ask your server / bartender or the front desk and they can tell you your remaining consumption balance so you can determine your burn rate and determine if you have to pay out extra funds if you go over your consumption amount.
