Just make sure you never take a stationary taxi. Always take a taxi that is on the move with no passenger. To me the biggest rip off I refuse to pay are the HK taxis. Basically, you buy 2 trips and get a 3rd freeeeeeee.

I don't know what greyhound you have taken in the past but if you go certain times you can get from downtown LA to San Ysidro in under 3 hours and most of the rides are under 3.5 hours.Greyhound is between 3-5 hours depending on the time of day, and day of the week. They usually post estimated arrival times when you buy tickets online and will disclose a list of stops. Seems accurate because rush hour trips are much longer than weekend trips.

There is also some other bus similar to Greyhound. They use a similar gigantic bus, but painted all white with no company logo, and driven at 80 mph. They usually fly by me on the freeway in the passing lane where I thought buses were prohibited from using. Anyone know anything about these guys?

Thanks in advance!Speaking as someone with a 100 word Spanish vocabulary, I can tell you that I struggled with the few CL girls that I have seen. I didn't hire any that spoke enough English to communicate verbally. Prices were low, time was long, and effort was there. If 2 people struggle to communicate the time is less enjoyable.

I think the ads where I resonded were posted by the girls personally. Many are clearly posted by managers.

I've given up CL girls due to the language problem. My three favored options are now bar girls (some speak enough English), alley girls (very few speak enough English), and escort girls from an agency. If you call (or email) an agency you will have the opportunity to ask for a girl that speaks some English, but you will pay more money for agency girl services. Mundo (from cumintj.com) has a high standard for what he calls "some English".

The language thing may be a problem. But, as an elderly lady once said to me, "You learn to do by doin'."

So, long ago I challenged myself to up my Spanish game. I'm far from fluent but I'm a lot better than I was a couple of years ago. And this has all been from repeated practice with the Tijuana ladies. I have found two applications that have been invaluable. Google Translate and Duolingo. GT has its flaws but it's accurate enough to get your point across. I still use it because I have problems communicating complicated concepts or the occasional idiom. Duolingo is great for learning and practicing because not only do you learn to read you learn to speak as well.

Concerning the CL ladies specifically, much depends on who you prefer. The ones who purport to be 18 - 21 (they all lie about their age to some degree) will speak very little, if any. The ones around 30+ will speak more. If little English is a deal-breaker, do your due diligence and find the ads that say "English Spoken. " Most speak some English, but are often too embarrassed to try. The only reason the incidence of English-speaking is higher at HK or AB, relatively speaking as it's not very high in either venue, is due to the constant exposure to gringos (resulting in much higher-mileage chicas). If you go to the smaller Zona bars you'll find the percentage of English speakers tends to mirror that of CL. Having said that, I have always found the ladies to be very patient and willing to assist with my clumsy Spanish. Again, Google Translate works wonders and the ladies are very cooperative in communicating with it when you reach a roadblock. Hot tip. Use Whatsapp for communication initially, as you can copy / paste into Google Translate to assist.

Most of the ads are placed by the ladies personally. However, a lot are posted by an agency / pimp (and I won't patronize those). After you read a few ads you can pick them out. They tend to be for different girls but follow the same basic format. Often they will list the same phone number. As a rule of thumb, the youngest ones tend to be from an agency, the older ones (relatively speaking) tend to be independent. This is usually borne out by the prices. In order to make it profitable, the agency girls will tend to ask for $100+ an hour. The going rate for independents hovers around $60.

Concerning the process, often you can arrange a meet at a public place, like Starbucks or some cafe. Chat for a few minutes then head to a motel. OTOH, lots of locals get a room first, then call the lady and give her their location. Don't do this if staying in the ZN because lots of ladies won't go there.

Frankly, I have found that the effort expended (and it can be frustrating) in learning to communicate with the ladies pays big dividends. You get far better sessions, far more GFE and better value. As an added bonus you can communicate with the locals to a greater degree, making day-to-day interaction with them much easier.

Cascada's general manager is a short and meek old guy, sitting in an office behind the reception on the North side. He does not speak English, needs an interpreter, mumbles softly and avoids looking anyone in the eyes.

One time I called in for reservation, but the reception guy insisted that I had no reservation when I showed up. So I raised hell with him and threatened to go on the internet, spreading bad news about Cascada's incompetent and dishonest management to every monger in the world. So he reduced our room rate from $55 to $35.

Cascada's ST rate of $18 for half hour is way too high and unfair, causing lots of loss of business to the poor HK chicas, HK club and Cascada itself. Cascada's high room rates are unfairly exploiting the chicas' hard work and dignity, and abusing mongers' generosity. The management should immediately reduce its room rates to $5 for half hour for ST, and $11 all night any day of the week, to be competitive with other hotels in La Zona, or rescind the mandate making HK chicas and mongers use Cascada exclusively, and allow mongers and chicas to walk to any hotel they want. This exclusive hotel use mandate is in clear violation of Mexico's prostitution and anti-competition laws and could land both HK's and Cascada's owners and managers in prison for decades, where they will be quickly offered full-time jobs as putas for cartel guys.

HK's mongers and putas should raise hell about this illegal collusion and unfair high room rates in Hong Kong and hotel Cascada, and be ready to report the crime to all law enforcement agencies.

Went to Tijuana yesterday arriving to San Ysidro around 4:30 pm. Parked on SY blvd by the wells Fargo; this is a convenient free place to park for short visits. Walked across the border and was at HK in a flash. Lots on men in the club when I arrived, I was surprised at how many. Sat next to an attractive young women, nice ass, sitting at the bar. Agreed on $100 for the half hour and got it on till the condom slipped off and that ended it. Last couple months, there were only a few weekends, especially around Christmas and New Year, when the top-tiered chicas went home for holidays. One thing is for certain. You should never pay more than $50 pesos to HK or HK back to the border. Even with $50 pesos you are paying them more than the enough. Just make sure you never take a stationary taxi. Always take a taxi that is on the move with no passenger. To me the biggest rip off I refuse to pay are the HK taxis. They expect $5 plus a $1 tip, not to mention the stupid guy who flags you down always yelling, "Taxi amigo?" who expects a $1 for this service. Best best is uber. I've gotten many rides from HK to the border for under 40 pesos. For $5 you could go all the way to playas de Tijuana from the border.

HK's Cascada hotel charges $17 or 280 peso for 30 min with HK girls, while they charge only $5 or 80 peso for 20 minutes in the same room. As someone who went last year, I have a few things to say about this event. As much fun as it seems to be there for the competition, there are some negatives. On the plus side, tons of friends and family of the competitors come out, grab all the prime tables, and often give away t-shirts, cards, and other little things to show their support or drum up publicity for their dancer. It's a really fun atmosphere and a lot of alcohol is shared and poured between tables as a sign of friendliness.

On the minus side, it takes forever. The entire event is several hours long and it drags out. Tequila shots with lime juice at the table. Lime juice is free and you can mix your own at the table. My normal approach, use the free beer coupon, 2 for 1, exchange it for tequila shots, to get an additional shot glass, have the mesero bring you another shot glass, bring a 8 oz flask in your sock. Your table (base of operations) should have 3 tequila shot glasses, 1 cup of lime juice. Base of operations should generally be set up in a booth near the main stage along any of the walls. Refill your shot glass by going to bath room. As long as the shot glass have visual liquid, the meseros will not touch them. If you must leave put a napkin over the top of shot glass. The front desk clerk will know which available rooms have safes. He will give you the key in exchange for a 100 peso refundable key deposit.

Thanks again!In Cascadas all single rooms have a small safe next to the bed. It is a $10 deposit you get back when you return the key. Only one of the double rooms has a safe it's on the 6th floor. None of the jacuzzi rooms have a safe. All the master suites have a safe, but the deposit is $50. Cascadas you can bring whoever you want, but the desk worker will want their names and possibly show ID or health card.

Something about the Latin culture. They think if they charge a high price for something then it must have high value.

Bar girls in Cabo and Puerta Vallarta want $300 for a ST session. They would sit around all night without a client but they would not negotiate. I crossed in to Mexico last weekend and the immigration lady was really nice. I paid $24 for the 6 month pass. I don't know if that fluctuates with the peso / dollar rate. You can pay it in pesos. She said you can leave and enter Mexico all you want for that six months. Something else she told me is when you have that 6 month form, I think it is called FNN. (right?) you don't have to use the foreigner line anymore. If you have that valid form you can go to the left with the Mexicans. If anyone stops you, you just show that form and you are good to go. If you cross often, it might be worth getting that form so you don't have to go in the Gringo line.

I was also testing something. I flew from Tijuana to Guadalajara. Not one person asked to see the FNN. I also checked in to a hotel in Tijuana, and 2 hotels in Guadalajara, and flew to Mexico City, and checked in to a hotel in Mexico City and nobody ever asked for my FNN. I think the hotel in Tijuana didn't ask to see any ID either. One of the hotels in Guadalajara didn't ask for my passport either. Someone could probably be very cheap and lie about how many days they will stay in Mexico and fly all over and stay a long time without paying that $24. But, if you got stopped by the police it would suck to be you.

It was my last night in Tijuana and I wanted to go out on a positive note. I walked into Hong Kong early (around 7 pm) and met a woman named Emel. She said she was 30, but had me fooled. She had a rock hard body and opted for the premium package in the bolt on department. She was petite and had an obnoxious Fran Drescher type laugh that I quickly learned to like. The only problem was that during her ferocious riding and general pounding to my torso and groin area, she jarred something loose in my fragile gringo stomach after a week of eating street food. I felt an assplosion coming on and I had to get back to my room at Cascadas ASAP while simultaneously assuring Emel that I would be back to get her "after I went and got some money out of the ATM".

I ran up to the room, expelled the demons that were in my stomach, took a quick 5 minute shower and ran back down to HK. I walked from back to front looking for my Emel and was not able to find her. First red flag is when the demeanor changes in the room.

Second red flag is when they demand money up front.

(At this point, if it's a non-negotiable demand you leave or send her packing. The odds are very small that you'll get a good session after paying up front. The Mexicans say "El mariachi pagado no toca bien" and it's generally true).

Third red flag (as if you needed more) was changing the amount.

Fourth red flag (you should have kicked her to the curb at number 2) was trying to upsell.

Somehow you squeeze out some value with a pair of $30 street girls. Another $60 or more for a room at Cascades and over $400 is spent per day.

Here's an alternative: Stay out of the HK clip joint. Rent an overnight room at the Leyva for $22 to $27. Then concentrate on the Paraditas standing on Coahuila Avenue in front of La Gloria Bar and both sides of Constitution. Pay in pesos, and you can get some of those chicas in these areas vlose to the Leyva to cita with you in your Leyva cuartos for 300 or 400 pesos ($18 to $24). And if they ask for 500 pesos, say OK but insist on a 40 minutes cita.

I know a few mongers who use coupons, coupons and more coupons to cut costs. Everyone goes through this learning experience, getting all excited and want to do everything with everyone. I too used to dropped $1000 a week in Tijuana, but now when I visit these bars, I do a walk around. Buy a bucket of beer, tip once, sit and see what interests you. Same goes with the fichas, buy a bucket, save yourself $1-1. 5 a beer if paid in pesos, tip once saves you a couple more dollars. Don't sit with anyone that is brought to you by the maseros, they are hunting and you are the prey. Once you find someone you like take her, negotiate, and when you are done, walk out. That's the biggest mistake most will make is to linger. Go in, do your deed and leave, just leave, do something else, go eat, get fresh air.
