Bestards, I get myself into enough trouble I don't need your help... The US Immigration already gives me a hard time I don't need Thai doing the same thing. And the P4P girls don't need to worry, there is currently just one Mrs. Kra Tay. We will be at G's wedding soon.

I know I can not go to a few MP's (and some well known ones that provide good services) and I know I can not go to a lot of bars (off of Soi 23, Soi 6, Soi 4, Soi 11, and Soi 22) and I'm sure I can't even show my face near Soi 33 without word spreading.

Such a sad report my next trip will be... Arrived BKK, Mrs. Kra Tay picked me up at airport, did work, Mrs. Kra Tay dropped me off at airport, and left....

For some reason I think a lot of girls are paying Mrs. Kra Tay to stay with me so they don't have to go with me anymore... ;( But she is a cute one so I'll keep her around for atleast one more trip. :D

Livingstone Lodge, we booked and after reading reports on how nice and clean the lodge is. When we arrived we were not disappointed. The room is spotless and well serviced. The location is within walking distance to Soi Cowboy and the lodge is gf. as we discovered when we returned from soi cowboy with two girls from Suzi Wongs.
The first night we arrived here, even though we were very tired we went to the sports bar and found two attractive ladies to join us for drinks and dinner, played pool.

The food is excellent and the drinks where well priced.

We would encourage first time travelers to Bangkok to visit Livingstones!Fun Couple,

I was sitting in front of my computer, writing a concept, deeply in thoughts - when suddenly our front desk staff came to me and told me that somebody wanted ISG discount before departure. I had not received any PM before - so nothing was arranged.

I went to the front desk - and first I saw a guy standing in the entrance, but close to him a woman (obviously his partner, wife) was sitting in the seat group there. I looked at both - and did not really know how to start talking about the ISG ... :) - what did you guys expect me to do, talking about the promotion rules in front of the partner/wife? -- And then the lady asked directly for the ISG discount :):):) ...

Bestards! Two of them! The first female Bestard!

I hope that both of you come back one day, that I can make this up. Some drinks on me!

For anyone wondering where I got to. Checked out early Thur morning. Have to visit the family for Easter.

Had a great stay and much longer than expected.

Not really a helicopter this time. Had to beat the Sports Bar girls off with a stick at times ;) Couldn't possibly try them all like a rabbit might do. But got to know them all a little except maybe the absolute newest ones. Quite confusing as several sparked some sexual urges, sometimes due to pretty or sexy face, sometimes due to big tits, and sometimes a cute arse.

Mamasan still tries to line me up with the one who least matches my spec. But no charity work in the bedroom.

Keep intending to try other BKK Hotels, but seem to rarely get round to it. Life's too comfortable at LL.

But must be the food was too good and too plentiful.

Got home to an ugly reading on the scales.

What all could you be talking about? There is only one Mrs. Kra Tay...

But you are right, the current crop of girls was very good compared to the past. I think only two years ago did they have a better crop in the stable and I heard there were some out in the pasture who are now in the stable that are of good quality. There are some I'd like to think about taking for a spin but alas... do not want to feed the ducks right now.

You questions are rather extreme and unrealistic.
I have always guarded my laptop carefully, keeping it with me rather than in boot of taxi, for fear of someone crashing into the back. But one day a work college slid a tray which knocked a coffee straight over ther top of the keyboard. These are realistic dangers.

At LL I do not bother to lock up the laptop. I trust the cleaning staff. In fact although room has a safe, I rarely use it, and nothing was ever stolen. I keep cash in my pocket.

O.K. be careful and always keep backup of vital data from laptop. But don't spend too much time being worried about stuff in your room.

Put stuff like passport, wallet, jewelry in the safe. But notebook will be O.K. IMHO.

I feel more comfortable with my laptop in a safe or locked in my hard-side suitcase if I'm bringing back a freelancer. That said, I once went out one evening and inadvertently left the room to my room in the Westin Sukh wide open with my laptop sitting on the desk, open for all to see. When coming back several hours later nothing was missing. I do prefer the rooms at the Westin which do have safes large enough for laptops.

Why unrealistic? Though I have not yet been to LL I'd guess a laptop would be pretty safe there, but even then accidents (and possibly "accidents") happen. It's not so much the monetary value of the thing but the time and energy which would be involved in setting up a replacement. Peace of mind is what I'm after.

Sounds good, it's not a very large laptop, but front desk would be fine too now you mention it.

Gee Thanks, are the girls still talking??? I thought once I settled down with one or two or three that things would go back to normal. But something is wrong with your protest, I don't come back for three weeks more so they are staging this too early. And yes I am coming protests or not, room 119 with the balcony better be ready for my late night excursions outside and watch the pool, you might find a naked fat Rabbit in the pool :)

In regards to safes and safety at the lodge... I've never had an issue at the Lodge or with any of the girls from the staff (at the hotel, at other hotels, or during travel in Thailand or out of Thailand). Granted bringing back a freelancer you want to lock thinks up but overall the lodge has always been perfectly secure, and when I do bring back a free lancer the staff usually keeps a very close watchful eye on things. I've often left boxes and bags and computers and high end camera equipment laying around the bar, restaurant, front desk etc... I'll often give my room key to girls or staff to go into the room to get things (girls I'm not with) and never have I lost items. It's one of the perks of staying there.

The staff has always been completely honest with me and my items.

I can second Soap Fan's advice, I often leave both my laptop and my Ipod out charging in the open when I leave my room, and I never worried about things going missing. However if I am going to be out all day I try to put anything of any value to me in the room safe, but there really is no need to worry.

The digital safes at Livingstones are standard size and they accomodate my 10x7 inch notebook just fine, not sure if yours will fit. Bring Lube. lol ;)

Also the girls at the Sports Bar can be trusted IMHO, and would never take anything from your room, and many even ask permission before they take one of the free candies that Livingtones provides on the night table. If you bring in a girl from outside Livingstones you are on your own and I advise you to lock everything valuable in the safe and either lock your laptop in your suitcase, or somewhere out of sight just to be careful.

I usually stay with the same girl when I am at Livingstones and now the level of trust is pretty high between us and I have zero worries she would ever take anything from me. In fact several times she has reached into her bag and presented me with expensive gifts she had bought me weeks earlier, and the only time she ever touched my things was when she folded my clothes.

Peace of mind is what I'm after.

There are a lot of good hotels in BKK and very safe ones. If you want relaxing and peace of mind, then many of us like LL. I don't get a room there all the time due to work issues but it always has been a home away from home. When I do have a room elsewhere I still spend more time at the lodge then at the other hotels.

Keep the room empty and post a guard... People tell me that you hear pool balls banging when you stay in that room, unfortunately the reverse happens during my stay. The bar kept hearing Mrs. Rabbit and me Banging ;)

In fact that might be why your mate from Shanghai missed his flight. We were up on the balcony all night while you folks were in the bar. You were stroking balls on the table while I was stroking something else on the balcony.

Last Sunday afternoon I wrote 2 reports at the computer in Livingstones. In this corner it's very dark. While writing I heared the characteristic buzzing of mosquitos, but didn't pay attention of them. As I returned later to my room I noticed a lot of mosquito bites on my both arms. Later they became very big, because I am sensitive against mosquitos.

So I want ask Giotto, if it's possible to install an electric plug against mosquitos in this corner, or should I bring some with me, when I am coming again?

Well in case of LT same. Same for me I only was trusting in once even going so far in once case depositing key at the concierge. But that worked out very well. Otherwise I am pretty mistrustful.

LL is the type of place that you don't see the guards at the gate but it's the type of place where if something happens people will know about it and things will be resolved.

I'm still coming problems or no problems. I'm just looking at back entrances into the country incase anyone is stupid enough to try to mess with the airport again. ;) I'm not worried about getting out of the country.

What should we do to beat stress?

Well that’s the question me and some pals asked ourselves when we caught up for a cpl of drinks a few weeks ago and the winning answer was ‘THAILAND’.

A cpl of weeks of planning and we were already on the flight to Bangkok. Our thai experience began the moment we boarded the thai airways flight, amazing service.

We landed at the Bangkok airport and took a cab to Livingstone’s Lodge Hotel, which cost us about 300 baths. On arriving at LL we realized that our check in time was 12 noon but the staff at LL was extremely cordial and checked us in 4 hours early for a very nominal cost. There was a very pleasant surprise that awaited us when we got to the rooms. Guess what? Free Upgrade to the Superior rooms with Jaccuzis, we couldn’t have asked for a better begining to our trip. LL was the best experience ever, amazing rooms, comfortable environment, yummy breakfast, lovely bar, sexy bar girls, extremely friendly staff and Giotto is the coolest guy I have come across. He is so well informed about everything, we had a few very good discussions and I believe I have learnt some from him.

I also found LL to be one of the safest hotels I have stayed in.

LL is gonna be my home away from home in Bangkok.

I would suggest moving the plant if it is still beside the desk as well.

Sex and Crime in Bangkok's massage parlors and red light areas, by two authors:

John Burdett, the better writer of the two. The protagonist of his three BK-novels is a honest buddhist cop (mom an ex-prostitute who now runs a bar on Patpong, dad a GI). Start with the first (Bangkok 8). Hilarious, funny, and in parts quite recognizable hehe. The third (Bangkok Haunts) is a bit over the tops with an uber-hooker who continues to fuck everyone dry as a ghost. I found him in the Kinokuniya bookstore (Emporium).

The other one is Dean Barrett, who can be met in person sometimes in Mojos, where he leers after a particular cojote girl that looks a bit vampirish. I only read one of his novels which was about the murder of a soapie girl.

PS: Giotto, there is NO no need to start a thread on literature because of this post.

Already ready Burdett's first two books. I'm about halfway through Bangkok Haunts. I really enjoyed the first two. This one slightly less, but still reminds me of 'home'. It also made me start to look at places like Utopia and La Defense differently as I wonder what the interior structure is like and whether there are secret areas. FBI is staying at the SGS.

The staff and bar girls are 100% reliable and I too left laptop out as well as camera and even wallet on my desk in the room. Nothing ever went missing! I had a few of the bar girls up in my room during my stay. No trouble.

Now if you bring freelancers then no knowing what may happen!

Last Saturday morning i arrived early to Bkk, was picked up by a friend at the airport and headed staight off to Livingstones Lodge. Could check in right away, though I was there already 8.00 am. Had some problem with the safe (guess if I'm technical..) Had a nap and then hit the streets.

Wanted a massage as quick as possible and went off to Love Teen Massage near LL. Had Dee, 19 yers old from Isaan (suprise..) Cutest face and nice and polite.. had been working there for 7 months. If she had left in the morning, and you had subsequently made plans to meet, she would have expected payment prior to leaving. What ever happened here? What did you end up doing? I missed a few days here.

FWI... When I take a girl multiple days or see her multiple times and she knows I'm coming back they don't really ask for cash each visit, but at the end of the visit I take care of them. A sweet little 12 mp underwater pocket camera that is actually top notch camera, I might leave my DSLR's behind and just use this one. Add this to my other U/W video and photo gear and I expect some increased shower / ocean / pool video to compliment my past visits.

Is this a special LL service? Like some hotels place a chocolate on your pillow, LL gives you a rabbit? Do you have to feed it yourself? Is there a choice for people who prefer e.g. guinea pigs?

LL is happy to put a little animal on your bed every night and it has a good collection of talent, I would not call them rabbit quality yet. I remember one lady very fondly and how she sweetly asked after 5 times if it would be OK to rest a while and if I could go to a MP to give her a few hours of break.

The last rabbit at LL ran away and has not returned yet. But I am lucky enough that I can bring the rabbit back into LL when I come to town, but it is special skill for a girl to screw 14 times a day. I do and did my best to train and educate the other girls at LL but alas... I have to bring in outside assistance (to help educate the girls at LL only of course). It would be nice if the outside talent could learn to share better but she gets jealous easily.

I had a nasty cockroach in my room last time. It took me a long to get it out of my room and it kept creeping in somehow multiple times. So it is not just guinea pigs and rabbits in the lodge ((and gerbils (for Nic and Guido :D ) )).

"Fu***ng" Rabbit I understand. but a guinea pig and a chinchilla? Dr. G, I thought the LL was gentleman's paradise, but this is turning into a zoo. :D

It is a zoo in the lodge now... it's now a gentleman's hunting paradise where you get to find out what type of animal you bagged for the night.

I left my previous U/W Olympus (SW 1030) on a table in cafe in MBK a couple weeks ago. As I hadnt downloaded and cleared the card for a few days, somebody inherited some very interesting pics and videos. A lot of them were U/W and beach stuff too, as I always made good use of the camera's full potential.
Same day I picked up a new 8000 Tough and can say it is every bit as good as the previous model, and then some !! Totally recommended, especially for hotel pool fun as you describe.

Sounds good - approximately how much in US$?

Under 400, think it was 350 or so but am not positive. I expensed it so was not too concerned with that aspect.

After many countries, a crap load of travel and lots of airports, beaches, oceans, pools, and showers... then add in some editing and then resizing... playing with some of the panorama / low light / night / etc... aspects of this camera I find myself leaving my Sony Alpha 700 and it's 7 lenses at home more and more.

The best aspect is throwing it around in carry on and bags and such and not worrying about it, the other aspect is keeping sand and dirt out of it. Coming from Oceania the salt spray, humidity, heat, dirt and grime kills most electronics but I don't have to worry about much with this camera.

Sorry there are some duties I must perform in Manila ;) BKK can not keep the Kra Tay all to themselves, I am on a UN mission one girl at a time. Think of it as a warm up before my arrival to get the batteries fully charged up. And I doubt the new girls will ever be fully prepared for the Kra Tay no matter what you tell them. I got into Bangkok yesterday and headed directly to LL. It's nice to be back. The place is a laid back and gracious as I remember, and this time, I was smart enough to get a room with a Jacuzzi, which I have just used this afternoon to my prolonged delight. It's amazing the things you can think up admist all that pulsating water and foam.

Arrived at the lodge after a tiresome journey via Singapore. On checkin the staff were great and the room (superior) was better than I expected and very clean. First impressions always matter and I have to say that they are great so far. I need to say that the wireless internet never reached as far as my room. I stopped by to check out your Lodge last night, for the first time. I decided to stay and have some Thai food & drinks in the bar after having a nice session at Love Teen Massage. The food was good, although a little on the sweet side. Does you cook add more sugar to Thai food for westerners than he would for Thais? I've found this to be true in US Thai Food restaurants. Your staff was nice and not pushy with the lady drinks either.

Have you considered allowing requests regarding the music in the bar area?

The atmosphere of the pool area is very nice also. I didn't check out the rooms last night , but if they are as nice as others have indicated, I'll be staying at your lodge the next time I'm in BKK.

I was in last night - you must have passed me when you walked in, sitting close to the swimming pool with my notebook.

No special rules for the cooks to add sugar to the Thai food. But I will ask Guido to check that. Usually the feedback for our Thai food is quite positive.

Music requests - any time, but the problem will be to find somebody who can find the song on the music computer :) !

F I spoiled the scene - 2,500BT non-negotiable for out-call (plus I paid a 500 tip for her excellent genuine fun service).

The cost for two hours all-inclusive if you use the rooms at Love Teen is only 1,500 (standard room) to 1,800BT (executive suite). I inspected the Executive Suite at Love Teen - very clean, well-decorated Roman-style, wall and ceiling mirrors, and large jacuzzi. I was tempted by the mirrors to do in-call, but in the end I took her to my suite at Giotto's - just so I could use the jacuzzi with jets and lights (which I had prepared a little earlier, filling it with hot water and herbal suds provided by Giotto's). Plus, I could enjoy a couple of my drinks and my music with her back in my suite. I also thought it might be more fun for her to get out of her usual workplace. Seemed to work. :)

this is not the right forum for this subject, but unless there is a very dedicated need for your desktop, general globe practice (ok I don't want to start a debate, please don't) is nowadays to use the notebooks for such expat activities.
I even have 2 now: one used as desk top replacement (but still 2,3 kg) for daily work at home and also move around and recently I bought a Netbook as an add on light travel compagnion for monger trips etc.
It is configured that a potential loss wouldn't ruin me.
Also having offline storage space as option (upload critical pictures etc.) can be a good thing. Also for strict seperation of business and private activities on business trips, such a netbook compagnion is a good help.

Now that I know the rooms a bit better than I did on my first couple of visits, I'll know which ones to request next time, and I hope next time is not too far away.

Asian Herbal 2, Suk Soi 24. It's some 300 m in Soi 24 on the Emporium side. For Aromatherapy, you get a ridiculous sorta minislip ("underwear"), so worried are they about reputation. Just grin and refuse... still no special offered.

Well, it's been three days since I launched on my latest (and tragically only second) charity mission in support of the Financially Disadvantaged Daughters of Isaan and all I can say is - this has to be the best hotel I have ever experienced. (Note: I was planning to write this before making the acquaintance of the strange German guy who spends most of his time sitting by the pool playing with his PC). I have experienced hotels which are "nicer" in a "colour supplement featured boutique hotel designed by some relentlessly trendy Scandinavian" kind of way, or which are "classier" in a "our staff are trained to high levels of obsequious snootiness" kind of way, but when it comes down to it most hotels are basically a stack of soulless, air-conditioned boxes. Here, hah, while there is the odd rough edge and the staff seemed a little confused when I turned up for breakfast at the obscenely early hour of 8:30 on Saturday morning, it is the first time I have ever stayed in a hotel and not felt I was basically a walking, fee-paying item of inventory.

With that said, the presence of a facility harbouring large numbers of young (in a "not as old as myself" kind of way) ladies willing to play pool and / or suggestively rub their ample cleavage (I am currently resident in Japan, so my definition of "ample" may be different from yours) against me is an added bonus. I should also add that they are immaculately behaved and no trace of any "you buy me lady drink, now you fuck off" attitude.

The only actual complaint I would have is that the breakfast coffee is served with a sachet of white powder, not something which looks like it has been squeezed out of a cow at some point in the past few days, a sin against coffee which if instigated in Germany would probably cause rioting in the streets. However, the live morning pussy show around the pool more than makes up for this (short time affection negotiable in return for a piece of fish).

Just back form a few weeks in Thailand. Spent a lot of my time traveling this trip so not too many times at the lodge but on arrival went straight to room 119 and used the balcony to its fullest ;) The balcony is almost as good as the whirlpool is.

I can confirm that there are a LOT of new girls, just two months between trips and there are a LOT of girls. Fortunately for them I was with a lady so they did not have to suffer time with the rabbit. But I got word that there were three that wanted to take a ride on fat bunny, which did not sit will with the current GF.

After having been to all parts of the world I decided to try Bangkok this time. As I had some work in Bangkok, I decided to extend the trip by a few days to experience the pleasures of LOS. Did some reading on the forum and found that Livingstone Lodge will be the best place to stay.

I had read many reports about the positives and negatives of the various places, but wanted to experience and draw my own conclusions. After reading about the various options available, decided to try Eden, Cowboy bars, MP’s and Soi 33 bars.

About the Hotel: Livingstone was just as I had read about it. It is a nice quite place in the Soi33 with a great pool area. The rooms are good in size, very clean, quiet and provided with all the necessary furniture and facilities. The food is fantastic and service is just as good.

Day 1:

It had to be Eden and that was the first halt in the afternoon. The looks of the girls was not as bad as I had read somewhere. Anyways, chose a good looking tall one and she chose an average looking one. The next 90 minutes were one of the best experiences I have had for long. The girls were open to all options, BJ, CIM, lesbian, positions, combinations. I would say that this is a must for any person at least once. Overall cost I think was THB 4200 (3700 + 500tip.)

Took some rest due to the jet lag, and then decided to try Soi Cowboy. It was about 8.30 and most of the bars had only 4 or 5 girls dancing. Dollhouse was the only one with about 10+ girls. After sitting for some time, found a pretty young girl. Offered her a drink, thought that the chemistry is ok and bar-fined her. But eventually it did not turn out to be a good experience. The ‘doll’ refused to kiss, refused a BJ with or without condom, even refused to Jacuzzi / shower together and was in a complete hurry to wind up. In all, a pretty disappointing experience. Overall cost approx THB 2700 (600 bf + 2000ST + 100 taxi money.)

Day 2:

After a days work, I decided to try a nearby Massage Parlour. Teen Massage down the lane was recommended by some website. It is just down the Soi, a few minutes walk from LL. Chose a girl from six decent looking girls and was taken to a room upstairs. Overall, room could have been better, massage was good and the sex was good too. I would recommend this place.

The cost THB 2100 (600 for 90 min oil massage and 1500 for extra + tip.) I offered the tip and she had not asked for it.

Later in the evening went around Soi 33 bars, Monet, Renoir, and some other one. Had drinks at each of them and offered some of the ladies some drinks. The girls at these bars are not as young as Cowboy girls, but the bars and the girls were definitely better experience. Eventually did not select anybody and returned to LL. Thought of trying the Sports bar at LL for a drink and retiring for the day.

The Livingstone bar was one of the highlights of the tour. I was very impressed by this bar’s cosy ambience. Some of the girls are good looking, nobody is pushing for drinks and everybody is good to talk to. I sat with a nice looking girl and things just clicked with her. Bar fined her and had a very good night.

Overall cost seemed high at the time THB 4000(1000BF after 11pm + 3000LT) I am not counting the ladies drinks and food as these were offered by me and nobody had pressurised me.

Day 3:

Late afternoon, after work, I decided to try a nearby Massage Parlour. Had heard about a MP, Geisha. It is in a lane opposite to Livingstone, near Pan Pan restaurant. This one too offered a choice of 6 girls and selected one who looked youngest. Overall, room was good, massage was fantastic, and sex was also great. The cost THB 2100 (600 for 90 min oil massage and 1500 for extra + tip.) Tip was not asked for but I gave for a good session.

I decided to give Soi Cowboy a try again, in spite of the disappointing experience. I had heard so much about this and thought that I should not conclude based on one experience. I went to Shark as they are supposed to have the best girls. I did find the quality of the girls better than the other bars around. Found a stunner and called her for a drink after her stage dance. This girl was definitely the sexiest I had seen in Bangkok. She was 22 years, very attractive and I bar fined her after a drink or two. Took her to Livingstone and had a good session. However she was a clock watcher and was trying to hurry up the session. That was a bit disappointing. The cost THB 2600 (600 + 2000 + tip)

My conclusions after 3 days: The massage parlours were the best for a nice relaxed and tension-free session. They also were the best value for money. Soi Cowboy has young and attractive girls and the prices are lower. But the sex was not the best and I did not feel totally fulfilled.

Livingstone bar was expensive but the ambience was relaxed and the overall experience was great. In Livingstone and in other Soi 33 bars I could talk to the girls for a long time and there was no pressure from anyone for anything. I do offer the girls around drinks but it is as I feel one should for the time they are spending with you.

I had not talked to Giotto on this topic, till then, as I wanted my own experience and opinion first.

Just returned after an extraordinary trip to Bangkok, my first solo mongering tip. Having read the various forums, threads and the numerous sites selling or evaluating different services, decided to stay at Livingstone’s. And did not regret a bit. It is a small calm oasis in the midst of all the hustle and bustle, the food is outstanding and the service is great. Rooms are clean, quiet, well equipped and nice to stay. Not fancy but very practical.

Reached on the night of 26th (technically 27th) and after a fairly long flight just hit the bed.

Day 1- Had a lazy morning and ventured out for some sight-seeing. Went to a few malls – MBK, Siam Centre etc. Did not buy much though the prices were competitive. Returned to LL in the evening and to the bar. Had a drink or two, bought a few rounds for the girls but somehow the jet lag and having been out most of the day took its toll and hit the bed without companions. The girls in the sports bar at LL are very decent, not pushy for drinks or bar fining. If you want, you can have a drink by yourself while watching your favorite sporting action on the TV (which anyway I did watching live Wimbledon). Had a great day but still no action. .

Day 2. While walking lazily into the poolside restaurant area in the morning, saw two gentlemen discussing cricket so I joined the discussion. One of them turns out is "All Night Rider" while not sure of the other gent’s handle so would call him Mr X. Incidentally all 3 of us wanted to go out into the city so it was a free guided tour for me. We went to Pratunam bazaar, Pantip Plaza (before I saw the name I thought they called it Panty Plaza and I was conjuring up my own visuals. .). Then off to Nana, Soi Cowboy but finally returned to LL sports bar. The usual calm ambience, nice and pleasant girls. Had a few drinks and then decided to bar fine a girl. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Though a bit shy we hit it out so well and were so tired after doing the deed that woke up at 11. 30 the next day (both of us). Found it quite easily but was not sure whether to try it out as the BJ was performed just opposite the bar on a sofa in full view of anyone at the bar. They claim to be in business for 35 years. The fishbowl was full with around 25 ladies and another 15 sideliners. The cost was THB 1700 from the fishbowl and THB 2, 500 sideline (both 2 hrs). I was again looking for ‘A’ level so chose a busty mature lady 32 years old. And left grinning 2 hours later! BBBJ, CIM, ‘A’ level. Couldn’t have asked for more. Day 4:

After breakfast met Giotto and discussed about my experiences, convenience of massage parlours, and the experiences of Cowboy and soi 33 girls.

Later in the evening I decided to try out some more Soi 33 bars.

Went to Office Bar and found it to be much livelier than the other bars in this area. However the main focus of this bar appeared to be sports. The girls were available but not so attractive. I could not find anybody interesting, so I came out after a few drinks.

Livingstone is definitely a great place to be. The nice and clean rooms, good food, the poolside, meeting likeminded people, the bar, the girls and Giotto’s knowledge and advice will make it a fantastic holiday for everyone.

I stayed 3 nights here in Giotto's lodge, so here are some opinions, tips and info.

The first night I'll keep uninteresting for you, I arrived late because my plane was late, so I got in about 3:00am. Too late to do anything very interesting so I just went to bed.

The second night, after some sightseeing, I decided to try Love Teen massage, which was recommended here. I went in and ordered the 2 hour Thai Massage, thinking I would get to choose the girl, but instead I was just presented with one. She looked ok though, so I just went along. I think it's because it wasn't an oil massage.

We went upstairs (2 flights) and showered, then I laid on my stomach on the little bed and she went to work. The massage was ok, but I had better things in mind, so I turned over and we got busy. She was pretty good... she had a nice, curvy (but not fat) body, and she smiled a lot. Her English wasn't great though. I got a BBBJ, then some CG, mish, and some more BBBJ to finish it off. Here you will find all manner of bars and clubs, and on this Sunday night, there were few people in any of them, and a lot of women, mostly very decent looking. I had a beer at three different clubs.

1. Playskool. All of the women here were decent, and one or two I would rate a 9. I regret not barfining one of them now, she was really cute and had an awesome body.

2. G-Spot. I will never come back here again. First, they tried to sell me a little basket of balls for 100b. They tried to explain to me what they were for, but I could never figure it out. If you're into more artful nude dancing you'll like this place. And you don't have to throw ping-pong balls at the girls to get them to show you their tits. There were a few good looking women here too, and all decent. I negotiated one down to 600b barfine and 1500b ST back at my hotel, a cute little spinner, about 5' tall. She did a fine job, but nothing spectacular, except she started complaining about time, and I assumed that I had used my 2 hours that she promised. Later after she left I checked the time and it had only been 90 minutes, so that was a bit weak.

Anyway, it was really a buyer's market here last night. Most places had plenty of talent, and the big challenge was checking the ladies out without getting them to start bothering you. A lot of places were very slow and had 10 or 20 girls for 2-5 guys. I could have picked up a girl from the FL bars easily, and in Beergarden Soi 7 there were a ton of them.

Promotion Option No. 1:

Gracius.7-11 is at the entrance of Soi 33. Supermarket on 33/1. Shopping mall Emporium right around corner on Suk. Phrom Pong Skytrain station around corner on Suk.

Please PM me your phone list (if possible, include pics and adresses), so that I can call your ladies and ask them whether they have heard of soi 33 and are able to find it.

Walk to Soi cowboy: used to be 15 min for me. Nowadays I fear I would be sidetracked and never make it to Cowboy if I walk.

Ladies: Looks are better than Annies (hahah that's not too difficult). Prices are higher (the ridiculous 33 barfine applies, then it's 1500-4000 depending on the usual variables). Service varies. Lot's of other options on 33, too.

Other perks are breakfast a la carte (I hate buffets!) whenever you want and served by my mia noi (gaah, she just doesn't know that yet). A bartender that knows what he's doing. Good steaks, good German food, good Thai food. And by now probably a manager with a diamond in one tooth :D

The location is great for the reasons that Centaurus mentioned. Soi 33 has plenty of activities on it but they are pricey. It is 2 stops away from NEP on the BTS. Walking to Soi Cowboy will take maybe 15 mins but you can stop at Pit Stop on the way for a drink and some great live music. (hat tip to Cent!)

Ok, let me try to answer your questions.

Our Lodge is located on Sukhumvit 33 witch is on of the so called "upper market " Bars. Most of the Bars are named after famous painters (Renoir, Gaugain, Van Gogh)

The Barfines here are higher than in the Nana area or Patpong. But you can't compare Nana ( or even Patpong ) to Soi 33. It has is own flair. But that is of course only in my POV.

There is a 7/11 just 200 meters away from us and a big Supermarket is also very close by.

The Skytrain is close by and gives you easy access to many parts of BKK.
Soi Cowboy is about 5-10 min walk from here, Nana around 30 min ( maybe you consider to take a taxi from here - about 40 THB )

We do not get involved into the " Service " from our Girl's, but i am pretty sure you will find some posts here about this. Every Girl is different and that is something between the Girl and yourself :) ( guess that applies for all parts of BKK and Asia).

You cannot compare us to some Massage places because as you (hopefully) will Livingstone's Lodge is different.

As for our promotion : You can choose the option once you arrived here. Just talk to us and we will do our best to give you the best option.

I never thought that I would one day write this, but ...
I retire from the forum.
I have sent an E-Mail to Jackson (already some days ago) and thanked him for all his support during building up the business here at Livingstone's Lodge. Today - the Lodge is empty again, political unrest in Thailand, a worldwide recession and H1N1 is taking its toll. Still - I will not sell my soul.
Many of you have stayed here at the Lodge. If you want to come back - the Lodge will still be there. As for Giotto - he died already hundreds of years ago, and we should let him rest in peace.

It is sad to see so much going on in the Thai Forum lately, most posts today are about items that were discussed years ago, my first trip to BKK, where should I go for the MP, etc... Now many of us have seemed to move on or lost a kind of bond. SoapFan, NicFrenchy, OTH, Giotto, etc.... all mostly retired or MIA.

1Ball and Trav123 others I rarely see anymore and myself, still making mistakes and getting into trouble hahaha. I will be sorry to miss the banter and the enjoyment that there once was on the Thai Threads and the Giotto's Lodge Thread was a place people could come and enjoy and remember the times they had at LL and in BKK in general.

LL is an oasis for people to gather and meet up, and it appears that there is now time for a new group of maybe younger mongers to come in and take up the activities and reports. But the younger pup's will never be as good as PosterLion, Piper1, 1Ball and others no matter how much of a stud they think they are. Will miss the old place and group and wish everyone visit LL to form lifelong friendship with people that share our same goals, mongering for ladies.

Unfortunately, LL is more then mongering for ladies. For all my meals and times there I think monger for ladies was only 10% of the conversations. It is a place where you could discuss real items and personal items. Sometimes this lead to conflicts or disagreements but you could always walk away from the table knowing LL would still be there for you, and those friendships you found would still be there as well.

Wish Auntie and the gang at LL the best of luck and hope that LL can be for others what it was to many of us before the retirement and issues the Thai thread has had lately. Maybe we all just need six months to cool down, get laid, sort our lives and then come back.

RIP Giotto, OTH, and the others.... Thank you for all your contributions over the last 5 years or so. Wish you all well and happiness.... Hope some of us atleast can find that someday, but with Thai girls, this almost seems like an impossible dream hahahahaha... Cheers mates I'll hoist one for you.

to continue the same topic my father, tansak started below, i must say one of the things i have enjoyed the most during my many stays at ll is the camaraderie between so many of the guys one meets there. always many forum members are there, be it for the first time, or the 20th time. i have made real friends thanks to ll, giotto of course being one of them.

when i walk into ll with my bags, and am greeted by name by the receptionist, ask the staff to bring everything up to my room, and bring the key back, and walk over in the direction of the pool, of course, giotto is there, but who else? i normally don't know. but there will be a few guys rep001tered around the pool, in pairs, alone, with a girl, with several girls, and giotto is always very cool about introducing people to each other, merely saying ....."you two share the same hobby". if it is a busy week, invariably several guys will plan a dinner, which more than likely will include a few lovely ladies, and mongering is rarely a topic discussed. instead, we will talk about so many interesting things, eat too much, drink too much, and have lots of fun. the food is outstanding, auntie hovers to make sure everybody is having a great time, and the result is we are still in touch with one another. i have run into some of these guys in many other places i have happened to be.

so even if giotto hangs up his hat, and doesn't post here anymore doesn't mean ll is dead. for newbies, imo, it is the only place to go, as it is full of information, and like minded people. for old farts like my father tansak, and my much older brother piper1, it is a place to go to run into old friends, and meet new ones.

i have never stayed in a place like this before. it is unique. it is very cool. please patronize it. if all goes to plan, my much older brother piper1, , pita123, 50/50, and i will be there together at the same time in august. all are welcome for an isg get together. there will be fireworks, the pool will be filled with naked bodies, food and drink will be overflowing from the tables, giotto will be pulling his hair out for fear the bib show up. what fun.

or you could stay at the grace hotel instead.................

Giotto's remains

Giotto died in January of 1337. According to Vasari, Giotto was buried in Santa Maria del Fiore, the Cathedral of Florence, on the left of the entrance and with the spot marked by a white marble plaque. According to other sources, he was buried in the Church of Santa Reparata. These apparently contradictory reports are explained by the fact that the remains of Santa Reparata lie directly beneath the Cathedral and the church continued in use while the construction of the cathedral was proceeding in the early 14th century.

During an excavation in the 1970s bones were discovered beneath the paving of Santa Reparata at a spot close to the location given by Vasari, but unmarked on either level. Forensic examination of the bones by anthropologist Francesco Mallegni and a team of experts in 2000 brought to light some facts that seemed to confirm that they were those of a painter, particularly the range of chemicals, including arsenic and lead, both commonly found in paint, that the bones had absorbed.

The bones were those of a very short man, of little over four feet tall, who may have suffered from a form of congenital dwarfism :):). This supports a tradition at the Church of Santa Croce that a dwarf who appears in one of the frescoes is a self portrait of Giotto. On the other hand, a man wearing a white hat who appears in the Last Judgement at Padua is also said to be a portrait of Giotto. The appearance of this man conflicts with the image in Santa Croce.

Vasari, drawing on a description by Boccaccio, who was a friend of Giotto, says of him that "there was no uglier man in the city of Florence" :):) and indicates that his children were also plain in appearance. There is a story that Dante visited Giotto while he was painting the Arena Chapel and, seeing the artist's children underfoot asked how a man who painted such beautiful pictures could create such plain children, to which Giotto, who according to Vasari was always a wit, replied "I made them in the dark."

Forensic reconstruction of the skeleton at Santa Reperata showed a short man with a very large head, a large hooked nose and one eye more prominent than the other. The bones of the neck indicated that the man spent a lot of time with his head tilted backwards. The front teeth were worn in a way consistent with frequently holding a brush between the teeth. The man was about 70 at the time of death.

While the Italian researchers were convinced that the body belonged to Giotto and it was reburied with honour near the grave of Brunelleschi, others have been highly sceptical.

Down from Assisi, in the valley, there is another church - San Damiano. In fact it is today a cathedreal built over another smaller chapel (the original San Damiano). I was just wondering with all the changes that seem to be going on behind the scenes with the old guard at Livingstones, is it still the same atmosphere in the sports lounge with all the girls and around the lodge as it was when I stayed there a year ago?

I am booked into the lodge in September and want to be sure I will have the same great time as I did back then, it seems like everybody is kind of on a downer now and not as upbeat as usual. Just want to have as good a time as the last time. If anyone can shed any light on the current situation I would appreciate it.

Weird OneWeird One. No worries. I stayed at the lodge last week. The sports bar full of beautifull girls (ended up barfining the mamasan. But that another story). Giotto glued to the keyboard of his pc, had hardly any time to smoke. Guido making sure everybody are ok. No change from my previous visits to LL.

It's low season. Very low, maybe lower than ever (low season + H1N1 & financial crisis ect.). And that can be hard on a hotel owner.

So: "Support our local lodge. Keep commin back". I, for one, will be back in middle of September.

Why would the issues of a couple Bestards affect the lovely young ladies? It is not a gay bar no matter how hard Giotto and my brother 1Ball are trying to turn it into one (damn I wish I had smileys)

After first reading your post I was wondering what kind of tobacco you are smoking... Seriously, no change. People have repeatedly said NO CHANGE... girls, good food, good rooms, etc... The good sex is up to your abilities. But if you need help in that area I understand there are some magic pills easily available in thailand for those in need hahahaha

It is possible to loosen up here and chat because it transcends the virtual space and has a very visual connection to real space: We know exactly how you look when you post here. At this time of the day (10 am), to post here feels like having breakfast and Ms Bae bringing us our 3rd coffee. It feels as real as a messageboard can get.

Which, then, is part of the LL-formula of personalized service and attention to detail.

bloody hell, i've been reading quite a few articles on various sites about how thailand has been going downhill recently, but have always convinced myself it's just doommongering. but if the lodge is going over to the other side, things must be really bad. i am considering flying over and leading the resistance from a base in the peep inn.

And at last a report from my humble self... had the pleasure of about 3 weeks in the Lodge back in June, my first stay. Before anyone gets sick with envy, I was there "on business", aka work, which occupied more of my time and energy than I would have liked. Though thanks to the wonders of the internet and the surprisingly good wireless connection I was able to get quite a bit done by the pool.

It is definitely a very unique hotel and I felt at home there right away, even before meeting Auntie G. and the guy formerly known as Giotto. I was somewhat confused by the breakfast system, turning up as I did on my first morning at the heinously early hour of 8:05 am, when there was seemingly no-one about, but things worked themselves out soon enough. The staff were all friendly and competent, though it took me about a week to charm more than a minuscule smile out of the girl I named "Unsmiley Waitress"; actually a nice lady but I guess not so much a morning person, which I am not really either, and I later had grounds to suspect she must have thought I was a bit of a miserable git always breakfasting with no company save for my faithful laptop.

From an, err, entertainment point of view the Lodge is in an excellent location, Soi 33, which I had not previously visited. The "Dead Artist" places didn't really look my cup of tea and I had neither the time or the inclination to visit them. Next time maybe. I was delighted however to discover "Love Teen", which is a short walk down the soi and an excellent place to take a relaxing break on those days I was tied to the internet in the hotel room. In fact I went there often enough to gain a certain rapport with one of the girls (don't ask me the name, I've forgotten already), which improved the experience a lot. The famed "Tulip" is also just one Skytrain stop away, and another favourite of mine, Angel, is a a short walk past the nearby Emporium. In the other direction Soi Cowboy is just about within walking distance, or one Skytrain stop (Asok), and beyond that of course are the delights of lower Sukhumwit. (One slight problem if wanting to go in that direction by taxi is crossing Sukhumwit at the junction with Soi 33, there is a zebra crossing but no lights, so crossing there is often a bit of an adventure).

The Lodge does of course also come equipped with its own Sports Lounge where I was able to hone my sadly neglected billiard skills. There always seemed to be a lot of young ladies hanging about who wanted to make friends with me, in the nicest non-pushy way, though many were surprisingly lousy at billiards. Had I been on holiday I would have been a lot more proactive in inviting them to my excellently appointed room for some practice at putting things into other things, but at the time a good's night sleep was, alas, of vital import at least for the first two weeks while I was there. Still, it was nice to have somewhere to hang out in the evening without any undue pressure.

Tragically for the girls in the bar, by the third week I had managed to run into an old flame, who I thought would probably want to cut my balls off (long story), but who had forgiven me for whatever sins I may have committed and still loved me, at least for my body, which pretty much accounted for the remaining evenings / nights. Amusingly, she looks and acts like she just got off the bus from deepest Isaan, and is very much not Soi 33 material, which earned the odd bitchy glance from a couple of the girls I had previously spent time with.

The only real problem I had was when checking out, as the local bank credit card handler seemed to be unable to authorize my credit card, even after an hour of trilingual phone calls between my credit card company, the hotel and the local bank, and I ended up having to do a round of the local ATMs (including having a slight heart attack at the Bank of Ayuhda ATM which wasn't charging the 150 baht fee but did decided to crash spectacularly, appearing to swallow my credit card). Nevertheless I will certainly be back, hopefully in a couple of months, and with a bit more free time on my hands (assuming 1Ball's proposed coup attempt isn't successful, of course).
