Hello,
Do all the rooms have windows that face the hotel corridor and not the outside?
Captain Solo

I stayed in a smoking room.
It has a powerful ventilation system to suck smoke out of the room, also a window open to outside.
I am still a bit confused after reading few pages.
I will be in Jakarta just for few days, this being my first time. Obviously I don't want to be too adventurous right away so was wondering if there are any hotels that are recommended for getting in-calls?
I prefer to have fun either in the hotel room or in a "casa" (Brothel) type place where one can choose from multiple girls but is assured of a safe, non-rushed experience in decent facilities (with showers etc.).
Can some kind souls please guide me in right direction? Thank you.

Hello,
Do all the rooms have windows that face the hotel corridor and not the outside? Why would you stay at Classic for $40 when for the same price you can stay at the Holiday Inn which is a proper 4* hotel with clean large non smoking rooms with large windows? Its only a 25 K 10 min cab ride from Classic anyway.

Why? 1) No travel required -can stay "All Inclusive" at Classic. 2) No waiting for drivers and no chance of leaving expensive phone or wallet in Taxi. 3) Less exposure to the God Awful pollution in Jakarta. 4) No need to run to an ATM or back to hotel to get more IDR Notes - can keep cash in hotel safe and simply run back to your room to reload cash). The more I think about it - The more it seems like Classic should offer "All Inclusive SPA packages" where we don't have to leave the grounds.

The amenities are pretty outdated compared to other nearby hotels which offer much better and modern facilities.
The only advantage it provides is that you can literally just walk down the hallway to the brothel.

I would not stay here even if I am offered a 50% discount.
There are plenty of good options for ALL budgets within 10 to 15 minutes by Taxi.

The subway construction is still ongoing and as bad as ever. Is there an end in sight? Makes the entire Hayum Wuruk / Gajah Mada corridor a complete mess. Make sure your hotel is on the east side (Hayum Wuruk) of the street if your go to places are Kota Indah, Travel, Classic, Emporium, Kimochi Mabes, Kelapa Gading etc.

~BKKguruI second it. Classic rooms are congested and not at all a good one compared to lot of other hotels nearby. As our expectation on hunting Classic it may okay. But don't forget that Classic is the only place for mongers in Jakarta. Banana Boy posted a range of locations below. Hunt for it.
Dear friends, Seeking information on Harris hotel to explore South Jakarta in my up coming visit. Any other hotel recommendation in a budget of 50 $is is also appreciated. My plan is to visit Dclub, MBlock, Dheaven, EP,CJs.
Thanks in Advance.

Add extra time to your commute during Peak hours (5 to 8 pm).
The Santika Premier Hayam Wuruk is on the east side. This is a decent hotel and offers good value.
Santika Hotels are located in all major Indonesian cities. This Hotel chain is very popular with local Indonesians.

See 1. You have to ride a taxi somewhere anyway. 3. Air goes everywhere. 4. Theres and ATM in the Holiday Inn Lobby. I load up with about 1 M IDR and it lasts me the night. Or pay by CC at Classic Spa.
But to each their own. Where I sleep is very important to me. Clean, comfy bed, good aircon, no cigarette smell, room service, gym, pool and breakfast. Holiday Inn gives all that for $40/ night.

I tried to book two nights in Holiday inn through Agoda and Hotel. Com on Feb last week for double occupancy. They are showing an extra charge for second person. I double checked it. Same thing. But for Novotel and Millenium its showin as usual before. Do the over booking in Holiday inn is leading for this upselling?
I tried one King bed with two person including breakfast.
Expecting opinion about Novotel and Millenium. An old review by Smoothy on Millenium was not favourable. So little confused.

In my experience Millenium come top in my list. Good spacious rooms, friendly staff. Easy to travel to North, Central and South Jakarta. Totaly guest friendly. Can hold as many girls as in your room, but breakfast only for booked numbers. Jakarta hotels are awesome.
Novotel is having smaller rooms than Millenium and holiday inn. For late night food depend on Grab food. Its fast and pay on delivery. I used grab food even at 3 in the morning.
My over all experience with hotels in Jakarta in my last three visits are top notch.

My over all experience with hotels in Jakarta in my last three visits are top notch.I have stayed in grand mercury in harmony. Pretty good rooms and it doesn't have rooftop. Food is pretty good. I haven't tried massage bar inside but I spent most of the time in the bar that shares the massage reception with bar. Girls seems friendly. As I had enough contacts meeting me didn't have a desire to venture further.
This will be my prefered hotel moving forward. And it's close to both classic and travel that's a plus.

Yes, if you book a room for TWO people, you will pay a higher price at the Holiday Inn Gaja Madah.
I have never this before. Let's hope other Hotels don't copy this.
I believe the Holiday Inn is charging more to cover the second breakfast.
If you change the reservation to one person, the price drops by $7 to $10 per night.

Do you know what is the length / depth of the pool at Holiday Inn?
I am a good swimmer, I would like to know if it is big enough for me to practice (2. 5 km / 45 min).
Any other pool option in North?
Thanks.

Just a few hotels I looked at. Agoda.com ratings versus my ratings when I visited and asked to see a room.
Hotels near Travel / Lokasari.
8. 8 (7. 0) LEAF listed in many wrong locations. Middle of nothing. Big rooms but dirty pillow cases and walls.
7. 4 (7. 1) 88 HOTEL across from Travel had dirty bathroom and kids playing in the hallways.
8. 6 (4. 5) ARWANA dark and smelled like stall cigarettes and mold.
8. 2 (7. 3) INFINITY good for the price.
8. 3 (0) CITY BIZ Horrible! Dark. Dirty. Smelled like an ashtray. Got mites there like bedbugs.
8. 3 (0) CITY STYLE Horrible! Dark. Dirty. Smelled like an ashtray. You will get mites there like bedbugs. First room was so small I could not even put my suitcase down to open it so they moved me to a slightly larger room at CITY BIZ where I got attacked by mites. I had a doctor see the bumps and she told me there is a problem in Indonesia. Two street girls I saw had the same red bumps which I assume they had the same thing.
INFINTY, CITY BIZ, CITY STYLE are the same owner. All check ins are at the INFINITY Hotel.
Hotels near Classic.
8. 2 (7. 3) COVE Huge rooms but walls and bed sheets are dirty.
8. 4 (8. 8) HEEF was the cleanest I saw but very small rooms for the price.
Listen the hell up! If you are staying at the high end hotels I am sure you are fine. But all you guys that stay at the cheap hotels like me. You need to stay at a higher level hotel than you normally do or you will be sorry! The ratings by the travel sites and pictures are so off the mark. Basically anything under IDR 270,000 ($18 US) is a no-no.
I have read many times about the pollution here but I have never been out walking when the streets are a parking lot so it has not been bad in my view. What is bad is the cigarette pollution in the hotels. I stayed in a room and it smelled fine whenever I left for a few hours and came back. But as soon as I turned on the air conditioner I could smell cigarettes. I am in a better hotel on a non-smoking floor. Every day for 5 days straight there is some "A"-hole smoking on my floor. To get away from this issue I probably would need to stay at a Holiday Inn or Hyatt level hotel where I am sure they enforce the no smoking rules.
Just a few hotels I looked at. Agoda.com ratings versus my ratings when I visited and asked to see a room..I've been caught out by Agoda ratings before. Beware that the default list of ratings is by "most helpful". These can be years old and anything pre COVID can be wildly different to today's reality.
Be sure to manually sort ratings by "most recent" to get up to date reviews, if you want an idea of what customers found.
PS. I should have added.... A very handy list

Just a few hotels I looked at. I'd help you in detail but since you posted all my posts are only story telling and I've never been to Jakarta or Thailand you wouldn't take my advice anyways.
But to help other members on this board who have never been to Jakarta who don't think I'm story telling, it is not often that hotel rooms are sold out in Jakarta. There are always plenty available. Just pick one and book it for 2 nights. If you like it stay. If not move to one of many in the Mangga Besar area. Even if the hotel you've chosen is awful and you want to leave right away hotels are so cheap you can afford to take the loss and move on.

There will be extra rooms that they haven't made available to the aggregators and will be able to reserve for you direct.

I had mites on the bed of my second hotel. I buzz cut my hair that night at the hotel and went to bed. I thought the little prickling feelings were that I had not rinsed all the hairs off well enough. But I was wrong. Had to wash all my clothes down the street and spray my stuff. NOBODY wants to do that on their vacation. Also, these people smoke like crazy and it is in the aircon when it blows. If you have asthma or hate smoke like I do you will be miserable and being in a non-smoking room does not mean crap here. The aircon in my room was bothering my eyes and lungs like someone was blowing smoke in my face.
Notice the details in my post BB? Almost as if I am actually here.

All 5 hotels I tested the price on were always cheaper online so booking direct would be best but costlier.

Then shell out another 10 USD per night for a good hotel where non smoking rooms means non smoking. Where else in the world can you clean international hotel chains like Novotel, Holiday Inn, Mercure, Ibis Styles, etc for around 30 USD per night?

Does that apply in the international hotels as well? Like Holiday Inn or Santika? In Jarkarta I would not stay below $17 because the cigarette smell will make me sick, cough up a lung, and burn my eyes out of my head. I am at a $20 and is ok but still has cigarette smell at times. I like the large window big room, refrigerator, and location so I deal with the smoke smell. Next week go to a newish $23.
I believe the higher the cost the higher the smoking enforcement will be. I doubt there will be any problems above the $30 level. WARNING: Stereotype coming soon. Higher cost in general means better clientele.
Nobody talks about the other side of the coin (the down sides) so I do it. I feel bad for guys expecting ABC but getting XYZ instead. Cigarette smell in your hotel room for a non-smoker is huge and can ruin a vacation. I never had it nearly this bad in Colombia, Philippines, or Thailand (countries I am used to for comparison).

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel 88 Mangga Besar VII? I saw this hotel while walking out of Hotel Travel. It's 3-star and the price is about $21 night and photos and reviews look good. Holiday Inn, Aloft, and Lumidor are my favorites, but this one appears to be convenient, and you can walk to Hotel Travel without getting Uber or Grab, and rest between sessions without haggled by mamasans.

Check out the AirBnB scene if you're going to be there more than a few days.I had previously looked at AirBNB then started to see listings with security cameras in amongst the apartments I was focusing on. Seemingly they were allowed to have security cameras in common areas! Thanks but no thanks. Next you'll be having to sweep the bedrooms, and certainly wouldn't be the first time for me to make out on a sofa.
Looking at AirBNB today the policy changed yesterday (30-April), to only entrance areas, none allowed inside. Be interesting to see how that goes.

However, Rooms in the Hotel 88 chain are barebones. You cannot get extra towels etc.
Thus, it depends on your personal tolerance level.
My personal view is Hotel 88 is a good option for "short time".
In Singapore, Hotel 88 are busy on Sundays when Foreign workers go here for a quickie with their girlfiends.
Also, in your post, you mean Hotel Luminor Kota (Jl. Raya Mangga Besar) and not Lumidor. Correct?
You can walk from Hotel Luminor to Travel. It is a 10 to 14 minute walk depending on how good you are at navigating the busy sidewalk.
I have stayed at Hotel Luminor. It is a good 3 Star Hotel right next to Lokasari Plaza.
I'm familiar with Hotel 88 in Singapore, but didn't not know this one in Jakarta is part of that chain. It makes sense now. It's no frill, budget hotel. Yes I meant Luminor, it's a nicer one comparable to Holiday Inn Gajah Meda.

MaxOneHotels at Platinum Hayam WurukI considered doing a trial here for 1 night while I was staying next door at Harris Vertu Harmoni. Rooms are small but it's a quarter of the price than Harris Vertu Harmoni. What put me off of this hotel was that there is no room safe and that is pretty important to me especially if you are going to bring girls to your room.
Positives. It is beside Harris Vertu so you get the benefits of the HXC mall which has good places for food and a nice spacious Indomaret inside. Attached to MaxOne is a pretty decent Starbucks. It's dirt cheap and for the most part reviews are good.
Negatives. In addition to the lack of a safe, a huge negative now is the construction right where the hotel is. No matter where you go whether it be Classic, Travel, KI, etc you are stuck in up to 10 minutes traffic just to go 3 blocks on that stretch of Hayum Wuruk to Juanda. My buddies were all staying at Holiday Inn Gajah Mada so it was minimum 20 minutes just to go meet them as you had to go south on Hayum Wuruk then east on Juanda, U-turn to go west on Juanda, only to be stuck in another log jam to go north on Gajah Mada. Got to be so frustrating I left Harris Vertu Harmoni to try other hotels further north. Ibis Styles in Gajah Mada Plaza, Novotel, Holiday Inn.
If you don't mind sitting in a bit of traffic around the time you want to head out and don't need a safe, then I would guess Maxone is a good choice. Your other budget hotel to consider right there is Yello Hotel Harmoni attached to Harris Vertu. I've stayed there too and it's newish and clean. It's chaotic on weekends though as they have conventions. 80% of the clients are people in their early 20's. There was some cosplay convention when I was there.
Best hotels within walking distance to Classic are Redtop and Movenpick (beside Emporium) on Percenogan but I think both aren't in the price range you're seeking.
Maybe helpful advice? I would never commit to a 2 month stay anywhere especially in north Jakarta where rooms are for the most part affordable and not sold out. Check a few places out and pick what works best for you on week 2.

You won't find a decent Airbnb near classic. Look around Jakarta Central. They got some decent Airbnb around there. If you are planning on outcalls to your Airbnb, make sure to book it for 2.
Santika is a very good hotel within lower price range. Another good hotel is Novotel.

You won't find a decent Airbnb near classic. Look around Jakarta Central. They got some decent Airbnb around there. If you are planning on outcalls to your Airbnb, make sure to book it for 2.
Santika is a very good hotel within lower price range. Another good hotel is Novotel.Thank you Zippos. You are absolutely correct. I couldn't find any decent airbnb near Classic. I found some decent ones way up north with ocean view near Ancol Beach. These maybe ok if 1001 is the main destination.

Hello everybody.
Before a report: Gran G7 Pasar Baru, at 1 Km from Classic, have a nice atmosphere, welcome staff, a swimming pool clean but a little hot, and amazing breakfasts. Price around 400 k a night for double room. No refrigerator in the room, air conditioner OK. Noise for morning Islamic sing at 5 am, for the rest silent. Nice terrace a nice lobby. Massage available.
The question: do you know a hotel like this, so swimming pool and 400 k price (or less) near a more beautiful area of Jakarta? From where is possibile arrive to Classic by taxy, but in better area. Also with no breakfast is OK.
I passed by Holiday Inn several times but never checked it out. Do those regular rooms comes with a fridge? Novotel had a fridge but I don't have the privacy there due two couple of staff I have dated on a 2 different occasions.
Also, anyone ever stayed Santika Megacity Bekasi?

They have the mini-fridge which sits under the table or counter.
Did the Novotel have a bigger fridge than the Mini?

Thanks for the info on Holiday Inn. Seems like lots are staying there from this forum. I will have to book the Suite room category to have a fridge then.
Another hotel I prefer is Ascot but double the price but comes with all the amenities of an apartment. Pretty nice and clean setup.
Slightly larger than those mini fridge that sits under the table.

Did the Novotel have a bigger fridge than the Mini? No, not even in the largest Novotel room. You have to book the rooms with the kitchenette for a full size fridge at Holiday Inn. I didn't stay in the regular rooms at either but will try both next time just to see. I prefer larger rooms. I'm typing that now while in a 15 sqm room in Tokyo!

Hi. I look for Holiday Inn in Jakarta and there are two of it.
What Holiday Inn are you speaking about?
Holiday Inn Express, or Holiday Inn Suites?
In case is Holiday Inn express, do you confirm there is gim but not swimming pool?
Holiday Inn Suites result have swimming pool too.
What are the ones with a lot people going because it is good ones?
Another question, thanks. The Holiday inI you are speaking is at walking distace (and nice path) to a mall where is possibile to walk?

The flavor of the day is Holiday Inn and Suites Gajah Mada near Glodok Chinatown. You can see all the guys with their blue and white ISG shirts in the breakfast buffet and Citywalk.

If by mall you mean Citywalk you're better off staying at Ibis Styles beside Gajah Mada Plaza or Harris Vertu Harmoni attached to HXC. Citywalk barely keeps AC running. I will say I thought the fried chicken at Chigo x Flip Burger in Citywalk wasn't half bad.

You might as well stay at the Ascot or any other Hotel which offers a Kitchenette with a normal size fridge.

Your examples are priceless BB.
I'm torn between HI or try Airbnb. Most suitable ones I find are in west Jakarta near Central Park Mall which puts me in 30-40 min grab ride to Pasar Baru where is HI would be 10-15 min.

Yeah. Ascot or Airbnb which could be a hit or miss depending on the owner. I don't think I want to pay HI double the amount just to have a kitchenette room.

What do people think of the Grand Orchardz Hotel Kemayoran?
What do people think of the Grand Orchardz Hotel Kemayoran? On my way to Kelapa Gading, I have seen this Hotel many times.
I may stay here in the near future. I will share what I know:
+ Hotel looks good from the outside.
+ This Hotel is near the Train tracks. If you get a Room facing the tracks, you *may* hear the train.
+ The Staff and Service is good. The Breakfast is more Indonesian than Western or Continental.
+ Kelapa Gading and Mall of Indonesia (MOI) are closer from this Hotel.
+ Hotel is good value for money. Much cheaper than Grand Mercure.

Most importantly, there is a in house spa / massage place for rainy days. Don't expect stunners though!

As in most cities in Asia Jakarta has a wide range of hotel options for different budgets, I'm just wondering what people would suggest I'm terms of the upper side of that range?
If e. G. 150-200 $ per night would not be an issue, what are currently the best options?
I like the Orient Hotel (even though 4. 5* "only") in terms of direct access to Basque / Cafe Cali, however the rooms appear to be on the smaller side.
I know the Mandarin Oriental from one of the previous stays and really liked it (nice view from the room as well).
Both hotels are also still fairly central, so possible to travel either north or south.
Any other personal preferences from others?

Every morning at breakfast you will see the ISG members in their official shirts seated at the prime tables, just mention your ISG user name when checking in and youll get your up to date Jakarta map and pricelist.
Or, more seriously, yes it seems to be, and many members have posted saying they stayed there, including me. The lobby is large, and there is a door at the opposite side to the reception desks close to the lifts. I walked in there last year with my new friend in tow, 29 years my junior and wearing a noticably shorter dress that all the other guests. And no one bothered us or raised an eyebrow.
The other guests at breakfast, very few europeans, all seemed very conservative so I was glad my friend left early and didn't accompany me to breakfast. It would have been interesting to see how people reacted.

P.S. - Hotel breakfast is always fun. You get to see the hotel guest and his younger and naughty lady. Usually advertised by her clothes. Seen this many times in Thailand and Cambodia!

Is the Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada a girl friendly hotel?
The front desk looks intimidating (see attached pic).I'm not sure if the Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada is girl-friendly. Yes, The lobby is huge, with a glass door behind the reception that connects to a mini mall in the same building. The elevators to the room are on the other side totally hidden from the reception but there's a concierge right near the lifts with a guy or two sitting there all the time, so sneaking in a girl might be difficult.
However, I have seen guests with local women near the elevators while collecting Grab Food, so it might be possible. Hopefully, more experienced members can provide additional information.

For some reason I can't explain the Shangrila gave me the impression (only from afar / online) that it has started aging a bit more than some of the competition which is why so far it has been a bit under my radar (despite the direct access to BATS), but I may do it injustice with that to be honest.

Shangri-la is a very good option if you are looking into that range, very comfortable, spacious & modern rooms with fitness center, tennis courts and pool. Plus nice dining options and their lobby is kick ass with nice waitresses. If you can play well you can have them. BATS is another reason, easy to take them to the room upstairs bang them for short time and then drop them off for another sweet dish for the night. As far as location is concerned decent is you are planning to visit malls and the business district, but do remember all carnal activities are in the north, 40-50 minutes grab ride.

100% Girl friendly; no problems and no one bats an eyelid. Call the chick or walk with her to your room, no one gives a shit. You need to come down to escort the chick from the elevator if you calling her. Been there, done that and looking forward to my next one. Holiday Inn has increased their prices; strange price structure. They know they are in demand because of us fuckers. Last time, I requested them to upgrade me to 527 sq. Feet room from 427 sq. Feet although it was big and the response was that they are completely sold out. I expect the same on my next trip observing their constant increase in prices.

The prices do fluctuate per day and where you book from and depends if there is some sort of seminar / congress / training at the hotel. When I was there I wanted to extend my stay and they said my room was sold out but on Agoda the same room was available. And usually the prices on their website are more expensive even though I am a IHG club member so you rather book trough Agoda. Even booking. Cum are a little more expensive.
Plus nice dining options and their lobby is kick ass with nice waitresses. If you can play well you can have them. Now that's interesting, Tips on how to get this started please? I have been seeing multiple posts who had success with hotel staff in Jakarta. Any tips on how to approach and how to get started? Because, afaik they don't cross the line with customers staying in the same hotel where they work at.

~BKKThanks to you and SuperLove for the suggestions. I ended up booking Redtop (Plaza Club Deluxe) solely because it seems to have an hopefully usable gym (and swimming pool), while Luminor on the other hand does not seem to offer that (seems to have only a very small mini-gym, and no pool).
I'll be there next week and will post some reviews from my first-time visitor point of view.
"US" was only a metaphor or a reference point; not to be caught upon. I have made my booking through Agoda only. My last booking was also through that platform; and I am aware of other sites being expensive. I did my homework before making my second booking to this city. I too am an IHG member but do my booking from the cheapest platform.

~BKKCannot tell you about Redtop, but have stayed at 3 other hotels in this area of Jakarta, the first 2 below just this month.
Holiday Inn Gajah Mada. Their Spa is next to the gym on 8th floor. Also a nice outdoor pool on this level but full of young kids. But the Spa has been closed, by order of the local government. So, all massage is done in your room. FS - 1 Juta. Am I too cheap?
Harris Vertu Harmoni on Jl Hayam Wuruk. You can go for massage in their spa, or order in room. FS available from most of them. One of them I have seen 2 times, but no FS from her. She asks me to undress her down to her panties, and what amazing tits she has.
Mercure on Jl Hayam Wuruk. Did not get massage in room, because they have a full blown bar / massage place (I think on 5th floor.) I did partake, and the girl was nice, but I went early and seems she was the only one available.
Have only stayed at an Orchadz hotel one time (there are several) - they are 3 Star hotels with 98 percent Indo clientele. I stayed at Orchadz Hotel Industri. Go down to basement level and you will find an elevator that takes you down to their club. Again, I went too early, so went with the girl they brought to me. Very nice girl, but prefer the girls that work in the Hayam Wuruk / Gajah Mada hotel spas. I have on my phone a foto I took of the in room telephone, with one of the buttons for In Room Terapis.

In my last stay in Jakarta I tried 3 hotels.
Gran G7 Pasar Baru.
Near classic, 10 minutes walking, or 3 minutes motorbikes.
Room clean.
Swimming pool.
Nice worker.
Terrible massage, and they pretend to do special but I never want with that women.
22 euro for day, include big breakfast very good for 2 people.
Classic Hotel.
Ugly.
Terrible smell.
No windows.
22 euro a night.
Not another time in my life!
Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada.
Crazy big room.
Nice swimming pool.
Nice restaurant bear swimming pool.
45 euro per night.
For me was too much luxury, room was a house.
But fir people than like luxury is right.
Also connected to a commercial center.
I booked a deluxe room at Luminor Hotel Pencenanannananagon.
3 nights US $177.
I wanted the suite but the remaining four were booked up since Friday!
I chose Lum bc next to Emporium.
I have collected Wyndham, IHG and other points despite booking through third party websites / app. Trick is to give front desk / reception your rewards membership number ant time of check in to enter in to the system.
If you book through Agoda or any other 3rd Party website, you do NOT get IHG Points for the stay.

~BKKThe room is nice. It has a nice big desk, and the other half of the reason for me booking it was that it has access to the club lounge where I can get free coffee / tea most of the day while working.
So, "for the team" I tried the in-room massage today. You can book it on the fifth floor, but they will not let you choose or see the ladies, so you might as well use the phone unless you want to pay by credit card.
The receptionists insisted that even though I could not see the lady, they were "all young and beautiful". I pushed a bit on wanting to see them first, but no go, and she again repeated the "young and beatiful". I was thinking if the one who arrives is to fugly, I will just tell her I want to cancel, and so, "taking one for the team here" I booked one hour of "traditional" massage. Was not sure what that was, and was hoping it'd be something like Thai massage (the other massage options I could recognize as not-thai massage for sure), but turned out it's an oil massage. So rather than meet and greet the woman as she comes knocking on your door in some lose fitting shorts suitable for Thai massage, better just wrap a towel around your naked body as it will be an oil massage in the nude.
The woman who knocked on my door was neither young, nor beautiful. Around 35, not bad looking, but not someone I'd make the effort to go and meet. The massage itself was good. If the average oil massage in Thailand is 5/10, this was 8/10, so a more than competent massage.
BJ was offered for 1 M. That was the first offer, so I'm guessing if you can set a cheerful mood beforehand, and don't look as fresh of the boat as me, it can be discounted, perhaps down to 500,000? Not sure. But yesterday I walked 10 minutes to classic to have sex with a 23 year old 7/8 for less than 500,000, a 100,000 tip included, so even if the BJ could be discounted down to half of the first offer, it's hardly a great deal.
If it was on your bucket list good, otherwise I feel it's waste of time and money especially when you could walk down the road (in your case 50 m) and help yourself with a mind blowing session. It's good for business clients who are tired and don't get the time for mongering. When I am on mongering trips I make sure to go to correct places. I spent almost a million myself in my first trip and got it out of my system. I've not heard / read anyone having a great time as far as in room massage is concerned, why waste your valuable time. I got a great massage at classic spa in basement and the woman asked for HJ, I just smiled and said no. Why should I waste my finish when I can go upstairs and bang beautiful girls for almost nothing. LOL, make your finish count. My 2 cents.
The room is nice. It has a nice big desk, and the other half of the reason for me booking it was that it has access to the club lounge where I can get free coffee / tea most of the day while working.

I'll comment on staff at 3 "hot" hotels discussed here.
1. Redtop. Staff at Redtop imo is second to none. Everyone there is so friendly and competent especially the doormen. It's why this used to be one of my 2 goto hotels for years.
2. Holiday inn Gajah Mada. Nice staff and competent. I had no issues there. I was happy that the check in girl gave me my room around 90 minutes before check in time. I may have mentioned I was coming from their competitor, Novotel. There were MANY people waiting in the lobby. I did have to wait for a bit still because my room type (one of the larger ones) was not ready yet.
3. Novotel Gajah Mada. I found staff here friendly but definitely not very competent. Had several issues with competency. The exceptions were the older doorman and one of the front desk staff who remembered my name over a 2 week stay.
Do you recall of seeing a mini fridge or chiller in deluxe room? I had reached out to them but answer is very much confusing. One said they have it and other said only executive room has mini fridge!
From Luminor's Deluxe Room description on Booking. "This double room has a cable TV, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box. Linen, towels and free toiletries are provided."
Thanks Banana, I saw noticed that description part and that's why I inquired with the hotel. From Instagram I was told regular room don't have that and WhatsApp guy told me, there is. I guess I will just have to try my luck to see what's actually there.
In regards to Novotel, I agree 100% that some staffs are very much incompetent. I used to stay there several times and it appears it's just going down the hill with overall. Even the room that I was given, barely had Air Conditioning air flow. Door man was pushy to drop me to Airport with his personal car for a fee which I declined. Another reason I don't go there is chicks that I dated back in 2019, was working there and so does her friend. Pretty awkward situation when you walk in with your chick and they stare at you like a vulture.

The exceptions were the older doorman and one of the front desk staff who remembered my name over a 2 week stay.."
So, "for the team" I tried the in-room massage today. <snip>
The woman who knocked on my door was neither young, nor beautiful. <snip>
Thanks for taking one for the team.
You are correct. You were quoted the first time, foreigner price.
Good to know the massage is competent and "extra" service is available for a price.

I agree with this. Was wondering if it was a general Indonesia thing myself, or hotel-specific.
Thanks for taking one for the team.

~BKKI think it's the massage places. They try to throw rediculous numbers hoping some will take the bait. Some of the places who may be legitimate may be getting enough cut from the massage as the hotel massage charge more than the regular massage outside. With me I was in small town in Kalimantan and the massage at the hotel was 400 k. Mind you at classic they charge 365 k which is for full service. This girl was teasing me and towards the end while running the legs and thighs graze the little fellow. I enjoyed the tease but did not make any moves. Then she asked me to turn around and asked for extras. She wanted 1 m for HJ and when I asked her for the full deal she says 2 m. I politely declined as she was way off the mark. She was hot though and fit. She did not give any counter offfer so I quietly dressed up and left.

Anyone know if the Park Hyatt Jakarta has in-room (or even on premise spa) with any extras?
Has anyone stayed at Sparks Life Mangga Besar? The location appears to be excellent, with numerous bars nearby and within walking distance of Hotel Travel and Lokasari. I've previously stayed at the Holiday Inn and Novotel Gajah Mada, had no complaints, but considering this hotel for my upcoming stay.
FYI.
Hotel masseuse is 35. Very pretty but her ass is a little bog for my tastes. Offered HJ for 500,000. Massage was one of the best I've ever had.
I just want to add a shout out for the newer Movenpick hotel, right next to Emporium. It hasnt gotten much attention here, probably because its on the higher budget end. I stayed there earlier this month and got to give it a full 10 in terms of quality and location. Its a brand new hotel with spotless rooms, great breakfast n (pricey) food options in house and more budget friendly ones nearby, impeccable service, and lobby on 2nd floor so you can avoid walk of doom (except for night guard). Its perfectly situated, literally 30 seconds walk to Emporium and 8 minute walk to Classic, although there are a few freakies walking around the neighborhood at night.
A couple things stand out here: First, for anyone who values daytime and early evening chillin or bringing your girl to the pool, the pool area is friggin fantastic, with lots of lounge chairs in and out of the sun. Its practically empty most of the time, and theyre just finishing a new poolside bar. Only downside is it closes a bit early at 8.
Another thing is the hotel has a really nice coffee shop and adjoining dessert cafe that offers free fancy chocolate sampling later afternoon for hotel guests. Yeah I know most of you grotesque mf's don't give a shit about chocolate, but think of the cheap date possibilities for late afternoon coffee and choco before heading up to the room for a romp session. It might just help seal the deal for some chick with princess tendencies that you don't otherwise want to spill big bucks on.
Like I said, its not cheap normally see. USD150 a night, but that's not bad compared to more expensive lux hotels. And you can find deals on Agoda etc. That bring it under $100 a night. I got a nice queen room on a high floor for $95, so was worth it for a week. Didnt try any massage do cant comment on that.
Just another option for any aging farts like me who want a bit of Swiss style calm and pretend to be civilized during daylight hours.

Thanks for the FYI on the hotel massage. Was this in room massage, or did you go to their spa?
Maybe next time you will get a therapist with a normal ass and big tits!

A lot of regular (non-p4p) girls unfortunately need some type of excuse, for themselves included, if they are to meet at one's hotel. For those that don't like the swimming pool, a sophisticated chocolate tasting with various imported chocolates sounds like a marvelous alternative.

I agree - the location is A+.
Most likely, Sparks is better than Luminor Kota which is on the opposite side of the street from Sparks.

Thinking of trying this instead of the usual HI on my trip later this month. Some reviews said all facilities were not yet opened and internet was not stable. I assume these teething issues are over now? I like collecting Accor points and although its a few bucks a night (30 or so) more than HI for my short 4 night trip its a definite possibility. I like the idea of walking distance to both Emporium and Classic that's 95% of mongering anyway. Not that the grab was ever an issue even staying at HI.

Hi,
I'm going to Jakarta in October. Taking a domestic flight after international arrival and vice verso, so a 'safety night' in an hotel closeby. 1 night on the way in, one night on the way out.
I see FM7 probably has no more spa action or am I reading it wrong? That would be the easiest solution if it still exists. Any other suggestions near the airport with the possiblity of some action in room?
I took the train from the airport once, but I don't know if I'll find a suitable hotel near the airport train stations.
It's just for a night so I don't want ot break the bank (no absolute dumps eighter) and want to avoid long taxi rides.
Thanks.

Hotel masseuse is 35. Very pretty but her ass is a little bog for my tastes. Offered HJ for 500,000. Massage was one of the best I've ever had.Decided to stay here for 2 days by reading your recommendation. I asked the gentleman in the front desk if he can set up appointment for massage and he was hesitant and kindly tell me that I should do it from my room. Called reception and transfer me to spa. Someone from.
Spa answered and asked if I want the massage now or later and told her now. Waited for about 10 minutes and heard a knock in the door. Peep through the peeping hole and saw a girl wearing traditional Indonesian dress. Opened the door and she came in. Did a little chit chat here. Told her I wanted the 60 minutes massage. She proceeded to put a sheet on top of the bed. Got naked in front of her and she didn't like it one bit. She look mid 30's, about 5'- 5'2", pretty nice racks and ass from her tight dress. Massage was excellent, she got the knots on my shoulder. I didn't get any extra though, but would definitely get her again for massage. My room facing Emporium and I can hear the loud music till early morning hahaha.

+ Did you ask for "extras" and she refused? Or you never asked?
+ You are supposed to be naked during the massage. Correct?
Don't understand why she did not like when you undressed in front of her.

~BKKI didn't asked, her massage was too relaxing that I didn't bother asking. Funny thing though, as I was coming out from the elevator to go to indomart, I saw her along with another masseuse and we made eye contact and she said Hi to me.
Yes, you're supposed to be naked. I didn't know since this is my 1st getting a in room massage.
Hi I spend most of my time in Jakarta and have enjoyed stays at the holiday inn hotel in most notably has the most impressive breakfast buffet I've ever experienced and not that expensive and has an outdoor swimming pool. Cost per night is £50.
Any recommendations for a Manila equivalent it doesn't have to be near the action. Excellent breakfast is priority.
Orchardz hotel probably an option.

I stayed at Sparks Life on Mangga Besar for five nights. I really wanted to like my stay at this hotel, as there were things going in its favor: ARTOTEL Curated brand, great location, friendly staff, an onsite massage service, swimming pool, and a breakfast buffet, trendy lounge that turns into a karaoke and live music bar at night. However, the rooms, even the executive ones I stayed felt quite basic, more like those in a budget hotel. The hallway carpet was smelly, dirty and stained, bathtub shower is unsafely high to get in out, outdated power plugs, and my room's A / see wasn't cooling properly, it even clogged and leaked a couple of times during my stay. In retrospect I should have stayed at Luminor Kota across the street which is a notch above than this.
However, it's definitely a girl friendly hotel, I was able to bring a girl from Lokasari with no issues. I tried their on-site massage offered by one of their four pretty girls standing next to reception. I chose the 90 min package for 300,000, plus tips. No extras, but the massage in itself is good even though offered on the bed.
On one of their Karaoke nights at their Exito bar, three FL girls in 30-35's came by and wanted to join me for drinks. I liked one of them and told I would be open to have a drink just with her, but she spoke limited English, and the other two insisted they join her as well for translation. I felt that these FLs are brought in by the hotel staff, cause one of the bar girls standing by to take drink orders right of the bat. I didn't want to get conned by them and so politely declined their invitation, and they went back to their tables.
Luminor Hotel Pecenongan is another option, its literally next door to Emporium and its under $50, I haven't stayed there but hotel is looking good, and I may consider this one to stay. There is also Grand Mercure Harmoni and its 15 minutes walk.

Haha I guess I am just bitter that Luminor took 15 minutes to make me a screwdriver.
I'm deciding between the Grand G7 and Yuan Garden hotels in Pasar Baru to stay close to the action at Hotel Classic. Any recommendation about these hotels, Heef, or any other hotel in Pasar Baru?

+1 to June's request.
I am also interested to hear about any experience with hotels near classic. I found the Yuan Garden hotel a bit too expensive, but I am very curious about Hotel Classic and especially Hotel Heef. I heard the wifi is not so good at Hotel Classic and IMO the rooms look better at Hotel Heef. And if wifi would have to be substituted with mobile broadband, how is the reception there in these hotels?
I am coming to Jakarta about 2 weeks, I am happy to share my experience here afterwards as well.

Anyone know if the Park Hyatt Jakarta has in-room (or even on premise spa) with any extras? So I can confirm PH does offer in-room massage. The therapists however are not great looking, I got one from a frumpy looking woman. There is also not a way to pick the therapist easily before booking, and there are men that work the spa as well. Massage quality itself was pretty good for the price.
This hotel is kind of a mixed bag of sorts. While there were some aspects of the hotel that I did enjoy, overall I feel like the hotel was overpriced and not a great value for the money it costs.
First of all I was trying to book it online on their website while I was still in the Philippines a few days before my arrival to Indonesia but their website would not accept either one of my debit cards. I even joined their little artotel club with my email and still couldn't book the reservation on their website.
Fastforward a few day later I arrive to Jakarta from Manila around midnight and arrive via grab to the hotel at about 2 am. I explain to the gentleman at check in counter that I tried to made a reservation but couldn't get the website to accept my payment. I told him that I had joined the artotel club with my email address and I showed him on my phone the website showing the standard room priced at 420 k rupiah and asked if you could pay cash.
He then made me a whole new reservation and told me that unfortunately the rooms that cost 420 k he didn't have any available and he could put in a non smoking room for 900 k or a smoking room for 550 k. He failed to mention that the 550 k included a free breakfast which I normally would have declined to save money. He only mentioned it after he took my 550 k that "there is a free breakfast from 6 am to 10 am" the following day when I went to pay for another night I asked if I could just pay for the room and not the breakfast and the lady said yes and changed it to 500 k instead of 550 k. I believe this is an unethical business practice because I pulled up their website and it showed rooms available for 420 k and they are lying and saying they aren't available, if that was truly the case then the website should also reflect that they aren't available. Also the shit he pulled which charging me extra for the free breakfast without asking me if I wanted the free breakfast was dishonest as well.
Now to the rooms. As soon as I step off from the elevator there is a strong chemical smell in the hallway like windex or some kind of heavy cleaning spray. It literally smells like cleaning chemicals throughout the entire hallway. One I get into the room and turn on the AC it causes me to start sneaking profusely and causes me to have a runny nose and itchy face like a histamine attack or something. It did subside however by the 2nd day.
The room also didn't have any towels but I didn't notice until after I had got in the shower so when I got out of the shower I had no way to dry off and I had to use one of my t-shirts as a towel. I complained about the towels the next morning and then they brought 3 towels, one for the floor and two for drying off and each day they brought new towels when they cleaned the room.
The TV was not a smart TV and didn't have any American News channels. Even the $9 a day airbnb I have now relocated too has a hisense smart TV with fox new app and thank God I was able to watch Trump win the election, in fact they litterally called it for Trump right after I got into my new place and got the TV up and running.
Anyways back to the Sparks Life Hotel. That first morning eventhough I hadn't slept until 5 am due to my late arrival, my first session, and the horrible sneezing, I still forced myself to wake up at 9:30 sm so I wouldn't miss out on the breakfast since they had already charged me for it.
The breakfast was actually pretty good. They had coffee and juices and fresh fruits like papaya watermelon and honeydew melon. Different soups and broths to choose from and on the far side they had a whole bunch of Indonesian dishes some kind of chicken in a big pot and various different rice dishes and more soups. For only being 50 k extra, the breakfast is a good value.
The swimming pool was also something I enjoyed about the hotel. The water felt as though it was heated and it had steps to sit on inside the pool with water jets to massage your back.
Speaking of massage they have an on-site masajista woman who comes up to your room to provide massages. There's a placard in the room with the breakdown of prices and types of massage and time limit. Since June Fly had mentioned in his report of this hotel that the massage was just mediocre, I only opted for the cheapest one, the 60 minute relaxation massage. I called on the land-line telephone in the room to the reception by pressing 0 and then asked for massage. 20 minutes later this attractive but older woman shows up to my room. She isn't like the girls at classic she's more like upper 20's or lower 30's in age but still an attractive MILF I suppose.
I didn't attempt to grope her or ask for any extras I just kept it professional and had her give me the massage. Much like how June Fly reported earlier the massage was mediocre. I've had much better massages in Thailand. She didn't even Crack my back or any of my knuckles on my fingers or toes in fact I don't think she even massaged my feet at all. She did an okay job massaging my back shoulders and legs but nothing to write home about. It was supposed to be 60 minutes but felt more than 45 then she said finished. I paid her in cash 242 k rupiah and tried out my growing bahasa skills telling her terima kasih and selamat tingga and that was it, she got her tray organized and I opened the door for her and she left.
Another feature of the hotel I enjoyed is the ordering room service from the alacart restaurant menu. I reccomend the chicken steak and the tenderloin steak, but honestly if you're going to be going to classic the Jonisteak ribeye was alot bigger and better and less expensive.
At $32 usd a night I felt this hotel was overpriced, especially when walking down mangga besar you can see there are a number of other hotels at less than half the price, one such hotel that I saw called hotel sumi. Has a big sign showing 220 k rupiah per night.
You live and you learn I guess.
After 4 days I checked out and I'm now at an Airbnb that is a much better value for my money.
Gabacho.
Grand Mercure Harmoni is really a nice hotel and I have stayed there sometime back. There is Ibis hotel next door to Grant Mercure, its ok and not as nice as Grand Mercure.I stayed at the IBIS because I got a really cheap deal.
The first time I stayed it was not great because there were cockroaches walking around. However, it was quiet and peaceful (most important for me), the rooms were decent size, and there was free breakfast. After staying at another (Juno Tanah abang) which was noisy af and disturbed my sleep and another Orchardz which was not great either I decided to give the IBIS another chance, it was this time cockroach free. Take it with a risk I guess. Others have complained about cockroaches at IBIS too.

Gabacho.Hi mate, we shared intel a while back. I'm finalizing my plans now for an extended stay in Jakarta early next year, probably two months. Can you recommend an AirBnB? Preferably near Lokasari or Classic? Also, have you had any success with non-pro girls or part-timers? That is a really my thing. Not so much into clubbing and what not. Thanks in advance. GG.

GG.I'm currently staying at a place in the Pasar Baru area just about a 10 minute walk from Classic. But it requires me to cross a busy street with a lot of motorcycle traffic to get to classic. The cheapest rooms are $4 a day and the most expensive ones are like $10 a day and they have suites for a cpl dollars more. I'm in the middle tier in a standard room with A / see and my own bathroom. It may not be up to par for a lot of guys here who have six figure budgets, but I like staying in places like this. It's a pretty basic room but it does have fast Wi-Fi and a smart TV and a work desk for a laptop and shower (no hot water) and toilet in the room. I'm the kinda guy who has no problem living in a place geared toward locals and honestly that's the best way to experience a country is to stay at a cheap place among the locals and try to learn the language and eat the local food.
You can book it thru Airbnb or just show up and pay cash. It's located behind an old shopping mall that sells a bunch of shot guns and riffles. In fact when I go walking to classic I walk thru the mall as a short cut to get to the main street. But if it's after 7 pm then I have to walk around the mall.
Anyways here is the break down of the different rooms and their prices:
Send me a PM if you want more info.

Location is good although food options not great. I checked out the Gajah Meda Food Street and it's pretty bad. No decent street food stalls either, the best ones seem to be near Classic or that area. Tbh though at this price there may be better options, Novotel up the road is a fraction of the price of this for eg.

Tbh though at this price there may be better options, Novotel up the road is a fraction of the price of this for eg.That's a shame on Grand Mercure as I stayed there last week & it's a decent hotel. The standard rooms look a bit small though, deluxe suite definitely a lot better with 2 long sofas and enormous bathroom. One thing about the lounge / restaurant- within about a minute there's always a mosquito which shows up and refuses to budge. And I've never seen a hotel breakfast so full at 6. 30 am in the morning.
I have to say the women staff are really sexy at GM, the reception all wear like a short skirt with heels and the restaurant / lounge ones wear a long skirt but with a very high slit. Has anyone stayed in GM in other countries, curious if this is the standard uniform or just in Jakarta? And more to the point has anyone been successful in scoring one of these beauties?
Hi all,
Is Holiday Inn and Suites (Gajah Mada) girl friendly?
I am traveling solo, but have booked a suite for 2 (6 nights).
What is the MO to bring a girl to room?
Searched this thread, but couldn't find any definitive answer to this.

Searched this thread, but couldn't find any definitive answer to this. From everything I've read on this thread, it's super girl friendly and in fact, most of the 4-5 star hotels will be too.
I've actually booked it for 6 nights too, from this Sunday. Will be my first time in Jakarta, thanks to the wealth of info on this forum!
Great!
Please share your experience once you check in.
I will be there from Tuesday onward!
May be we will run into each other!

I have stayed here earlier. It is 100% green. Lifts are away from the reception and no one bothers who comes in and goes where except that the lift does need a access card. So, you come down to pick the girl, take her to the lift and then to your room. Multiple girls also should not be a problem. You will need double occupancy here only if you invite someone for breakfast. Else, even a single occupancy would work.

Just landed. Will post a report post the trip.

After staying in KL for 3 days now I am in Jakarta, apart from Classic Hotel any good place with massage with FS, bar or any place to pick girls (freelancers). Thanks.

So now that you are here you would you like one of use to simply just repost all our information that we have posted before? I will get right on it.
Sorry I posted I wrong thread.

Planning a trip next month, Have been researching hotels, I see most actions are in classic hotel but there is not much suggestions to stay there. Cost per night is around 24 USD.
2nd option middle of Classic and Emporium is Luminor hotel / Redtop which is around 70 USD but didn't get good reviews from the forum.
Movenpick near emporium is showing 100 USD, don't want to spend so much on hotel.
I am a guy who stays in nana hotel in bkk when I go there, so I think Classic would be a good option for me. , Seniors please suggest.
I also want to stay near pool1001 as for me I would prefer 7-10 rating girls compared to lesser, Do suggest if I need to shift or a bike taxi should work as I see classic is way far from pool1001.
FYI, I only read 10 pages not more.

Suggest reading back a lot farther as well. Ten pages is only a cursory glance so don't expect much help if you're not willing to do more research on your own.

FYI, I only read 10 pages not more.Red star hotel is a livable hotel opposite Travel hotel, I even got it for US $17-20 with breakfast. This is when I purely want to save money & want to spend it on the girls.
The'prima hotel is a decent chain hotel, see if they have offers and it's much better than Redstar like $18-25 but normally more.
I stayed at the Grand G7 Pasar Baru (previously it was a Fave Hotel) for six days during my recent visit. It is not a five-star hotel but about 3.5-star solid business class hotel, checks off all the criteria for an affordable rate hotel at $35 a night. It is just a 10-minute walk to Classic and MRT, 5-minute walk to Pasar Baru mall, a large swimming pool on the rooftop, decent buffet breakfast, bar and restaurant, effective AC both in rooms and hallways, and reasonably sized rooms with a refrigerator and hair dryer, clean bathrooms, Lawson convenience store at the basement, Bluebird taxis waiting on the parking garage, ATMs nearby. The only downside is the small desk, which makes working comfortably on my laptop challenging.

Classic Spa is in the basement of Classic Hotel with girls on Floors 3 and 5 of the same building.
Stayed this hotel for 5 days till I left to Bandung and its was perfect for budget travel like me. Its just 1 minute walk from travel hotel. The room rates are 360 k for deluxe room and 300 k for standart room with breakfast included. At hotel but if you book at agoda its becomes much cheaper like between 260-280 k with all cashback agoda giving later. I stayed at deluxe on 5 floor and it was quiet at night for sleeping even daytime no sounds was coming from street. Hotel was quiet has aircon, safe, hot water, tv with 30 local channels, stable wifi but not so fast just 8 mb. Breakfast was good also everyday new buffet and can put as many food as I like. Also has rooftop bar which open from evenings till 23.00 pm with cheap beers a small bintang 35 k and nice cheap food for around 40 k per dish! And its very girlfriendly I bring 3 diffrent girls for short time and for all night and never any questions been asked or they stop the girl for check ID or something! Enjoy my stay here.

Does anyone have info on "Aksana Residence"? It is located in North Jakarta Jl. Cempaka Putih Tengah XVII. Is it a good place to stay? The price seems great but I don't know if they have any problem if you bring girls to the room.

When I went there for the first time my impression was that it was a bit rough round the edges, the only bad thing is that I perhaps wouldn't take a date back there. And the sign at reception which might put people off staying, it read "No Durians & No Guns" LOL.
If you shop around the'Prima is just 20% more expensive than Redstar and a very nice hotel for the price, a bathroom with mosaic coloured tiles from what I remember. Plus very clean, orderly but no breakfast room.
Hello, can anyone recommend a nice hotel in central Jakarta (near malls), fairly a new property please. I stayed at Movenpick in Pecenongan last time, hotel is very nice but is poorly located for my taste. Looking for a mid range to high budget property and of course green for overnight guests stay.

Pullman, Park Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, Pan Pacific.
All are 5 Star Hotels with Average room rate higher than USD 200.
If you can spend USD 250++, the Intercontinental (Pondok Indah) is highly recommended.
Your Budget may limit your choice.

Thanks for the pointers bkkg.
Pullman looks good, location good but 7. 8 rating.
Park Hyatt, mandarin oriental & pan pacific. Otb.
So deciding between pullman and sari pacific, location for both is good but rating less than 8 on 10 so lets see.
Can someone recommend which one to choose and also confirm if both are green for overnight guests.

A Moevenpick hotel was mentioned as a good nearby alternative to Holiday Inn Gajah Mada. However, on Google Maps I see both hotels 3.2 km apart. "Hotel Classic" seems to be very close to Moevenpick though. I don't remember what Holiday Inn Gajah Mada was supposed to be close to? Was it Emporium? Not possible, that's even closer to Moevenpick than Classic.
Moevenpick seems to be a very good choice from the point of view of location alone.
I assume Holiday Inn was better located for the Lokasari and Mangga Besar Area. However that area is not the epicenter of Jakarta nightlife anymore.

Movenpick would be a 10 minute walk to Classic, and I guess less than a minute to Emporivum. It's probably the nicest hotel within walking distance of Classic and Emporivum, though I have not yet stayed there myself.

Great hotel and choice if you plan to hit emporium and classic regularly, fabulous spread for BF buffet lovers. Good dining options on the ground floor, ATM inside the building and courteous staff. Nice clean property and green for guests. The property is just 30 m from emporium. And about 7-8 min from classic. If you have the money to spend this is it, avoid mercure / HI that's busy polluted & not very nice.

But next trip I'm getting out of the Ghetto and going south of Monas. Pullman Tharmin is looking pretty good. Also its an Accor hotel (same as Movenpick) so can collect or spend points there as well. Next to two major malls means lots of food and daytime options. Also a but closer to SCBD for higher end dining / bars etc.

You will save 25 to 30% on the Room tariff versus the Movenpick.
The Luminor is right next to the Emporium - a long 2 minute walk!
To be clear, this is a 3 Star Hotel. You don't pay for the fancy lobby. Its a decent Hotel with clean rooms.

~BKKThose wanting Movenpick might also take note that at 14 days before arrival, price seems to go up quite a bit, and keeps going up. I planned to stay at Movenpick last time, mainly due to the terribly repetitive breakfast at Redtop, but by the time my travel dates were finalised, the price difference between Movenpick and Redtop had grown too big for me. Redtop price seems to stay the same however, and rooms have the added bonus of a bath, for those of us who care about that.
Luminor I ruled out due to lack of decent (if any) gym and / or swimming pool.

I've done too much travel for business and other purposes in the last 4 decades to be happy at a 3-star (or less) location for more than a few nights. Verified it is guest-friendly by email. And as EA pointed out, I'll get more Accor points when I head to Bali after Jakarta.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada a few times now. A really great hotel. My last price was 40 euros including breakfast. Guests are no problem, a great pool, a sufficient gym. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to Travel. Unfortunately the prices have risen a lot and are no longer available for less than 60 euros, so I am looking for a new hotel. Orchardz Jayakarta Hotel, the location seems acceptable. Perhaps someone else has an idea. My budget is under 50 euros. During the day I want to relax by the pool and I don't have to take a woman with me to my hotel. Near to Classic or Travel would be good.

Check out G7 Hotel. The choice fell on the Grand G7. It's only a 3 star hotel but for the price (30 euros for 2 including breakfast) and the high rating, they seem to be doing a good job. Unfortunately there's no gym but there are a few studios nearby. That saved me 1 x the value of fun nearby. I don't plan to go but does anyone know if I can take a woman with me to the hotel?

Yes I have stayed at Grand G7 and taken girls to my room, three nights in a row, no issues whatsoever. Do not stay at G7 that is across the street from Grand G7, it's a rundown, but Grand G7 is good.
It has a large swimming pool, decent breakfast buffett, convenience store right at the basement.
Has anyone stayed at the Millennium Hotel Sirih in Central Jakarta? It's located just a block southwest of Monas, a solid 4-star hotel, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious for the price for about $50 per night on Agoda. I'm looking for a centrally located spot with convenient access to the bars in North Jakarta, Blok M in the south, and CJ and BATs.

I revisited 2 hotels this week with the following observations:
Classic Hotel.
- was worse than my previous stay, it's livable but smoke seem to permeate into my room which was non-smoking. Seem to improve marginally if I switched off the aircon but obviously this isn't a great solution.
- they don't use a duvet cover, instead it's merely a rug with 2 sheets sandwiching the rug which isn't great. Slight hygiene issue.
- having no kettle / teamaking facility is kinda annoying as well as just 1 towel for economy room. Many hotels would give you 2 towels & face towels but not at Classic.
- service was actually attentive, they answered the phone quickly each time plus checkin is 1 pm which is earlier than many other hotels (2 pm).
Redstar hotel.
- better than I remembered, they do have a kettle / full teamaking facility. Trust me this can make a difference if you've been having Kopi Susu or local coffees & they put a ton of milk / sugar.
- 2 towels Inc face towels.
- rooms are quiet.
- proper duvet encasement.
- free bfast, nothing to write home about but it fills a gap.
I found a pretty sweet deal on Classics superior room, did anyone stay in these rooms? It might be best to just stay closest to the action, like an 'all inclusive' of sorts.
The cigarette smoke doesn't bother me, since I'm a smoker myself, but it's important to me that the rooms there are decently clean.
Anyone have any experiences with there new, superior rooms?
Thanks for the tip, that sounds good. I booked the Grand G7. 30 euros with breakfast including free cancellation. Plus I save the cost of the taxi to the Classic.Yea Grand G7 is what I meant to say I didn't realize there were 2 different ones the G7 and Grand G7 or it called G7 Grand Hotel?
Either way some Indian dude in the coffeeshop at Classic was telling about it one day while I was drinking my large Bintang. He said it was a great hotel he always stayed at but it was all booked up so that's why he was staying at classic.

Strange I ever read any Malio hotel reports.
After a long stay at this hotel I can recommend it. It is not cheap. If I stayed for 3 months instead of 3 weeks maybe I would look for a cheaper alternative. The location is unbeatable: 40 m from Emporium, 800 m from Classic. You can walk to both, not that I often walked to Classic. Walking in cities like Jakarta and Bangkok is loud, stinky and dangerous. Only Luminor and Red Top in the same street are better located still. There are 3 convenience stores similar to 7/11 less nearby. My impression was that buying stuff like nutts and chocolate was markedly cheaper in Indonesia than in Thailand.
The rooms are quiet and you don't hear any street noise. The rooms are small but the bed is a real queen-size bed in a single mattress. The mattress is soft. The in-room safe is big enough to accomodate a notebook. Four small bottles of complimentary water each day. Expresso machine (pods / capsules). Japanese toilet. Big-sized shower. No mini-bar (no shenanigans about replenishing / checking the mini-bar!). The Wi-Fi is nothing out of this world but it's enough to stream vids at 720 p, and I never had any problem connecting. The hotel has in-house restaurants. The Chinese (Cantonese) restaurant had one of the best Chinese food I ever tasted, and it was not pricey at all considering the classy set-up and location.
As is most often the case in Accor hotels, breakfast (20 USD) was not included in the room price. The breakfast room was nicely laid-out and you can see staff cooking, so the food was likely to be fresh. Nonetheless, breakfast turned out underwhelming. Too much tempura, too little Indian or Western food, fruit not that great. I rate the breakfast underwhelming by Indonesian standards. By Thai standards I would rate it "very good" on account of the abysmal quality of buffet breakfasts in Thailand these days.
If you book this hotel many months from now, you may want to ckeck whether the vacant plot of land opposite the hotel is not under construction. There's no sign of any work right now, but there's a notice about the piece of ground being considered for development (screenshot). Note that it's not sure construction work would be a nuisance, given the hotel soundproofing and because I think construction work in Indonesia uses less machinery than e.g. in Thailand, labour being cheaper here.
Did anyone stay there before? Could not find a report.
Location and prices seems for me ok in the vicinity of Travel and Lokasari.
Hope to get any feedback.

I am booked there for the full month of April. As you said, a bit pricey but well within my budget. And considering how long I will be there, I really want to be comfortable and have top-shelf amenities.
Did you have any issues bringing ladies to your room for a short stay or even overnight? I intend to test encounters from multiple sources (in addition to the hotel spas) like Seeking, IndoFriendly, and perhaps some freelancers from BATS, Block M, and Basque.
Did your guests have to show / surrender their IDs to the hotel security? Were you charged a joiner fee? I did send an email to them with questions about guests, and they replied that they are guest-friendly. But it will be nice to get that verified.
Finally, I assume instead of walking (as you mentioned) you used Gojek or Grab? Maybe Bluebird? Any preferences or issues?
Thanks.
Thanks. In fact I didn't bring any girl into my room. I only did incalls and I don't regret it. Outcalls should be fun at Moevenpick's because of the big mirror alongside the bed. But outcalls are expensive and a hassle overall in Jakarta compared to incalls.
Hotel staff were so friendly and wanting to help all the time that I can't imagine them being a nuisance when you bring in a girl. But as I said, that's not something I actually put to the test.
Gojek is the app to use. Grab let me down.

Interesting for us, if there is any problem to bring one or two girls to your room: any control, any registration? And how is the location to the thepick-up areas? Easy to catch a cab there?
Enjoy my stay here.Great report I stayed there and thought it was great hotel.

And thanks for the tip on Gojek over Grab. It's not a sexy issue. But even mongers need to get from A to be.

Near to Classic or Travel would be good.Last year I stayed in Holiday Inn GM, and I really enjoyed my stay. The highlight was as the big spacious rooms, walk-in shower and the great buffet.
It's a shame they have increased prices.
I might make a short detour to Jakarta in April.
Any recommendations on similar types of hotels in the 50-75 USD range.
My main priorities are.
Walk-in shower.
Spacious rooms (not a shoebox).
Decent breakfast.

Yep it's nice and quiet. From memory I had a room overlooking a football pitch.
Plus very clean, orderly but no breakfast room.Sorry, which hotel is this 'Prima?

- free bfast, nothing to write home about but it fills a gap.How is the wifi at Redstar? I'll be working during my visit so reliable wifi is imperative.

Looking for recommendations of properties with strong, reliable wifi in the Classic. Travel area. Price range USD 20-40. Don't give a crap about pools, spas or any of that. I'll be working while I'm there for a couple of months so wifi is critical. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone tell me anything about the Novotell Hotel which is next to the Holiday in?

Thanks in advance.Maybe a bit over your stated budget, but I see Redtop hotel price per night down to around USD 40 at some booking sites now. Stayed there twice, working full-time, and did not suffer any problems with wifi, though I do not do stuff that requires a lot of bandwidth, so not sure about the speed. A fast 10 minute walk to Classic, and importantly for me, decently sized rooms with a good desk and chair to work from on both my stays.

Myself I find Agoda is for some reason often quite a bit cheaper than booking.com in south-east Asia, but this is from trip.com, which I have not used before I think.
If staying for a long time I'd normally prefer airbnb myself though.
Has anyone stayed at the Redtop in the Plaza club rooms, I'm mostly interested in if the lounge is worth the extra price? Seems they have a better breakfast and evening snacks. I'm planning to explore and whatnot but at least three days I just want to pool, maybe hotel spa, workout, eat, brothel, done. Redtop seems like a decent fit, but I'm open to suggestions for other 4-5 star that is a hotel you can chill in for a day or three with minor excursions. Appreciate replies.
I'm also looking at Movenpick, but their pool looks pretty not great or Holiday Inn which looks quite large with a decent pool. Holiday Inn is taxi to Classic but close to Kota although probably a grab too, not sure if it really matters. I just figured Redtop or Movenpick could be a nice walk to Classic or EMP and I do like walking a bit, but maybe I should just save the walking for the mall or whatever.

Every time there was a new receptionist in the "lounge" it entailed some discussion about whether the coffee really was free all day or not however, and this quickly got boring as I had to wait for them to call somebody to confirm. They were polite about it, as everyone else at the hotel, but it become a bit boring since it happened almost every day.
Apart from that I sometimes visited for the evening snack (some fruit, and some other stuff I don't remember what was, except I didn't want to order it), and once a girl visited during the afternoon and I ordered us both a cup of coffee delivered to my room as we walked past the lounge. The lounge itself is too small and quiet to entertain any girl without awkwardness, and except the once a day evening snack at a specific time, the only thing you can order there is some variant of coffee or tea if I remember correctly.
When I booked, I too think I remember reading something about separate breakfast there for those so entitled, but it was not the case when I was staying there, so instead I had to eat with the riff-raff.
On my second stay I didn't bother with a "club room", booked a lower tier room, and aero-pressed my own coffee in the room as needed instead.
Breakfast I thought was decent the first two days, but the rest of the days it was more or less the same and it became incredibly boring. The extremely boring breakfast is the main reason I've booked at another hotel quite a bit further away from Classic for my next stay, though it may sound a bit silly and I may still change my mind. I also enjoy walking, but I'm guessing I'll have to taxi / motobike taxi over to Classic next time, as while Redtop to Classic is a fast 10 minute walk on a more or less decent path, at least if you've walked it once in the daytime, I'm not so optimistic regarding the longer route from my next hotel.

It's still at the top of my list, but I guess I won't really be bothered if it happens that the club level is booked. My schedule is a bit up in the air, but the the 2nd is still a week away so I guess I'll see. Seems a decent spot and has in room massage with FS, which is on my bucket list LOL, and the pool seems decent. Seems the best along with Movenpick for being able to walk to the brothel, and taxi or grab for Kota.

Banner in front says 600,000 IDR ($40) room with free breakfast, sauna, parking, facility (gym, sauna, more? No dates given so you have to contact them.
Strange I ever read any Malio hotel reports. Can't book online is the reason.
It's been a while but if you (or anyone) can add an image of the banner I'll take one for the team and stay there for a night.

I've RTFF but haven't found the right hotel, hoping some of the veterans here can help. I'm looking for a place that offers convenient access to both the action area (I. E. Classic, Travel, Kota Indah) and the nightlife party scene. Hotel that's reasonably located between these two types of areas. I'm in my very early 30's and enjoy experiencing the nightlife. During the day, I plan to visit tourist attractions, explore food options, and go to malls. I need a non-smoking room and a hotel where there are no lingering smells of smoke, especially not coming through the air conditioning unit.
My budget is around $50 USD / night. I'm hoping this is realistic for what I'm looking for, or if I need to prioritize location versus other amenities. Green to bring female guests back to my room at any time in case I meet someone at a nightclub or through an app / outcall. Also if I were to meet a civvie for a date, we can hit the mall.
The hotels I've looked at are: Luminor, Movenpick, Holiday Inn Gajah Mada, Mercure, Harris Vertu, Millenium Hotel, and Grand G7 Pasar Baru. Most of the hotels reviewed here seem to be towards North Jakarta for the brothels, but nothing towards the party spots. I know many have said the traffic is terrible, but hoping for the least painful solution. Or are my only choices to either stay super near the action or near the nightlife / mall / food spots.
Someone mentioned HI is an ISG sponsor. To just mention your ISG user name when checking in and you'll get your up to date Jakarta map and pricelist. Is this real? LOL How does one get with the hotel staff? How would you deal with that when you're still bringing other girls to your room in front of the female staff you hooked up with? Thanks all for the info and any answer to my questions.

The Luminor in Kota is a good place of you come to Jakarta for mongering:
Walking distance to Lokasari and Travel. Not far by Grab to other places for fun.
Rooms Spaniens, clean, aurcon, TV,. All works.
Breakfeast rich selection.
Staff friendly. Guards give you a thumbs up if you come back with a pretty chick, and even guide you to the elevator from the parking Lot to your floor, not passing public entrance area.
Only Pool is missing.

Thanks all for the info and any answer to my questions. It's easy to find a hotel near the p4 p places but the difficulty is finding a place which is good for civvies as logistics are very important in a place like Jakarta which is so difficult to get to. You might assume you can just meet in a restaurant or even at a Starbucks but the the areas around the Travel / Classic areas are full of local places and not really date places, for Starbucks the date might say why not go somewhere which is closer to them rather than take a taxi an hour away which is close to your hotel. Especially for a Muslim girl travelling to meet a stranger for the 1st time. But as I mentioned in previous posts, once she actually shows up your chance of scoring is very high.
The number one place I think for dating civvies would be any hotel near Grand Indonesia / Pacific Place as there's a ton of restaurants in there and very reasonable. Everyone knows that mall and it's a safe environment. If you don't mind travelling a bit to Classic for those sessions then it's fine but obviously not ideal for mongering.

Yes there are tons of places to eat and you don't look like a sex tourist so girls will come to your hotel easily. However its a nightmare to cross the streets there and walking around wasn't fun at all. Traffic to Classic / Emporium wasnt too bad though, about 20 min most times of the day. It was interesting but I wouldn't do it again. You can convince girls to come to North Jakarta too, just don't stay in Classic or Travel or any well known Hooker Hotel. You can stay at Movenpick, Redtop, HI or similar and should be fine. Traffic can be an issue but not nearly as bad as people think it is. As long as you are going between Central and North Jakarta you are looking at less than 30 min for any trip. Now if you want to go to airport or Bekasi or something it can be bad at certain times. Going from Sarinah to CGK took me almost 2. 5 hours one evening.
Holliday in Gaja has reduced its prices again. Currently, you can get a room for one person with breakfast for under $50 for May.

My last trip for a change I stayed at the Pullman Hotel (part of Accor group and I get points). Location is good, right across Grand Indonesia. But walking around there was madness. Central location meant all the girls knew it and it was easy to get them to come there as there is a train station next to it as well. I didn't go to Classic / Emporium that much but when I did it wasnt more than 20 min at night or early afternoon. They have an onsite spa. I was surprised to get a cute girl that offered extras. I wasnt interested but asked price and she threw out $300 (USD) and then went to 3 M IDR for FS. I politely declined, grabbed her ass, gave her a small tip for the good legit massage and left.
Do the Classic rooms at the Mövenpick have a seating area like in attached picture? Or only the Executive rooms?
It's not clear from the pictures and very limited room information on their website.
I really don't understand that many hotels cannot even put clear pictures and information on their own website. I hate that.

I really don't understand that many hotels cannot even put clear pictures and information on their own website. I hate that. The seating area is hardly an "area". It's just a sofa against the wall or window. The room is much smaller than it looks on the picture. Rooms in this hotel are rather small. Ok for 1 person, too small for 2 IMO. My room was like this one. It was "chambre lit queen classique" (classic room with queen bed)?

Plus: Spacious rooms, silent Airconditioning, great breakfast, only the breakfast in Mövenpick is better.
Minus: mediocre gym, traffic is a huge problem because of the current construction.

Minus: mediocre gym, traffic is a huge problem because of the current construction. How huge a problem is the traffic? I've booked there for my next stay, just cause I can't stand the horribly repetitive breakfast at Redtop anymore, though otherwise I like the hotel, especially due to the good gym and good work space in room. Movenpick I unfortunately have to rule out as the rooms, at least the lower tiers, do not even have a work desk as far as I can tell from the photos.
I can still cancel my stay at M. P. , so would appreciate some details about travel time to Classic. When I checked online, it looked like it was about 15-20 minutes with car, and I'm guessing on a motorbike it will be half of that. If it's too bad, I might have to book at redtop again.

To get to the eastern side of jalan Gajah Mada you have to pass one huge crossroad. This takes 10 minutes on a motorbike.

If it's too bad, I might have to book at redtop again.I remember once taking an hour and a half to get by taxi from Moevenpick hotel to Malioboro. This may have been a one-off as I never went to Malio again. A cab ride I did on a regular basis was from Moevenpick or Classic to Gajah Mada shopping Mall. That lasted the usual 20-30 minutes.
I also like a good breakfast to kick-start the day. I wonder whether booking Red Top without breakfast wouldn't be an option. You then would walk to Luminor or Moevenpick on some days to have breakfast there, assuming Luminor lets you in as a non-guest. Moevenpick's breakfast is on the expensive side (20 USD if I remember right). This is only a good idea if Red Top is markedly cheaper without breakfast included.

If I have to walk out somewhere it kind of ruins things anyway. No longer just a quick trip downstairs in the slippers after showering, before going back up to work with a cup of coffee. Plus I have to pay extra for it.
What is so horrible about it? Not much choice? I assume it's a buffet?Buffet, yes. I thought it was decent enough the first two days, though I wouldn't rate the spread as much higher than 3-star hotel quality. On the third day I thought it had become pretty boring, and by the fifth day I only went down to stuff myself with enough egg protein to last till dinner and get some coffee. On my next stay half a year later, the spread seemed to be almost exactly the same and I soured on it.
A pity as the gym, the rooms (somewhat old and dated notwithstanding), and location are all great for mongering (Classic / Emporivum).

After two weeks in Mangga Besar, a survey:
RedStarz, solid wifi, clean-ish, friendly staff. Cheap at $13 USD / night on Agoda.
Hotel Arwana, absolute shlthole, one of the armpits of Mangga Besara. Horrible internet connection and grimy as hell.
Spark Life ARTOTEL Curated, very nice property with a clean pool. Very clean, staff very friendly (almost to a fault sometimes) and superb wifi. Just don't bother with the in-house massage, it's shite and overpriced. An excellent property for $18 per night.

Also they try to force you to buy the breakfast.
What about that Hotel 88 that is right down the street (Across from Luminor) that place looks nice. Also the upper budget guys who post here often mention that there are two different Luminor Hotels. They are correct. I went on a mission one night at 1 am to walk to an Alfamart that was still open to buy some coke zero and I ended up at an alfamart next to the other Luminor that is just south of the Sawah Besar Metro station (close to classic) then as we all know there is the Luminor Hotel on Mangga Besar across from Sparks Life and Hotel 88.
Any review comments on bringing freelancers to the hotel?

Apologies in advance for the quantity and quality of these questions, and thank you for any information you can share.
(1) Are RedStar and Sparks Life hotel guest friendly?
(2) specifically, can you take any of the Lokasari girls (Ranti, Icha, Angun, Caca, Ferah, Ayu, Fatemae, Melati, Puput, Nca, Tiara, Dina) to these hotels for short time?
(3) is it a bad idea to take the Lokasari girls to RedStar and Sparks Life hotel because this is where you sleep and where you have your valuables (luggage, laptop, cellphone)?
(4) is it better to go to a short time hotel instead?
(5) are the Lokasari girls allowed to go swimming in the Sparks Life hotel swimming pool?
(6) do you know if Cherry Blossom Hotel (Karaoke Lounge & Bar) is any good?
It is approx. 50 meters from the Lokasari Pizza Hut.

They just want to fuck and get their 300 k and then get dressed and go. I was fucking Ferah the other day and the buggy eyed pimp dude literally was waiting outside the door of the room while I was plowing her LOL. He even tried talking to her thru the walls while I was fucking her but she just told him tunggu and let me keep going till I got my nut. Great service and great value with a cute girl, but once the deed was done her and the the tall buggy eyed dude left together quickly, no hanging out to go have lunch or anything like that and definitely not going swimming. Although I do get lunch dates with my civvy / GF girl. And no I'm not sharing her contact info.

(1) Are RedStar and Sparks Life hotel guest friendly? AR> Yes, Sparks is guest friendly.
(2) specifically, can you take any of the Lokasari girls (Ranti, Icha, Angun, Caca, Ferah, Ayu, Fatemae, Melati, Puput, Nca, Tiara, Dina) to these hotels for short time? AR> Yes. BTW, where did you get that list of Lokasari talent? Heheh.
(3) is it a bad idea to take the Lokasari girls to RedStar and Sparks Life hotel because this is where you sleep and where you have your valuables (luggage, laptop, cellphone)? AR> It is not a significant risk. I have never heard of a case of a Lokasari girl doing such a thing. However, I have had mamasans and papasans try to bring girls to my room once my room number was known by the girls. It can happen, but rare. I had the bug eyed papasan once try to bring a girl to my room once when I was just stripping down to start a session. To be honest the girl wasn't bad, but given the situation I strongly waved him to be gone..

I'm weighing the pros and cons of why and when to take the girl back to my hotel or to a short time hotel. Considering these factors:
(1) pay-for-play P4 P girls (pros, semi-pros, non-pros, from street, online, massage parlor, classic, travel, etc.).
(2) not-pay-for-play girls (civilians, casual flings, one-night-stands, online dating, acquaintances, etc.).
(3) additional cost of short time hotel (e. G. Orange Inn Jl. Mangga Besar VI).
(4) mamasans and papasans bring P4 P girls to my hotel room (day and night, scheduled and unscheduled).
(5) bypass mamasans and papasans and have P4 P girls go to my hotel room (day and night, scheduled and unscheduled).
(6) not-P4 P girls go to my hotel room (day and night, scheduled and unscheduled).
(7) potential issues with hotel management because of the regular traffic of P4 P and not-P4 P girls in and out of my room.
(8) if short time hotel is necessary or beneficial, I could rent the Cherry Blossom Hotel Superior Room for 3. 6 M IDR per month rate and use it as my short-time room. And use the Sparks Life hotel ($18 USD per night) as my regular hotel.
BTW thanks for the list of Lokasari talent from your post http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?965-Jakarta&p=3005855&viewfull=1#post3005855.

Gabacho.Exactly. That bug-eyed dude gives me the creeps. First Lokasari girl I had was via him and he wanted to go all the way into my room. I told him fuk that, or the deal is off. The other pimp boy is a lot better to deal with, as are the mamasans.

Redstarz and Sparks both 100% girl friendly, despite the overabundance of security boys at Sparks.
No problem with the pool either, altho like Gabacho said, they'll have no interest in going.
Haven't tried a short time hotel but I keep hearing how they're disgusting, so.
No idea about Cherry Blossom. Don't care to find out.
Yeah, where DID you get that list of Lokasari girls? LOL.
Don't forget about Michat, tons of girls nearby on that app but you need an Indo sim or e-sim card with number to download the app.

For 5 tickets you get the classic girls LT. Assuming the same factor it would cost you only 1,5 juta to get a Lokasari girl for one day. In this case, I'm sure she will enjoy sharing the pool with you.

This is Jakarta. Every girl-friendly hotel is exactly that: girl friendly. For me, I use my hotel whenever possible. Nobody cares that you are bringing in a working girl. In fact, when I bring girls into my hotel the bell staff will give me a big thumbs up showing their approval. There is no value to using a short time hotel unless it is more convenient for that particular situation. Even with the grotty FF Hotel in Lokasari, you still need to produce ID, taking time to check in for a case-by-case encounter.
That being said, I understand there is a valid rationale to book a separate "fuck room" to keep things on a separate ledger, then go for a long-term stay at the FF (take note the normal stay rooms at FF Hotel are totally different from their uber nasty short time rooms), Prinsen Park, Orange or other cheap hotels in the area. I suggest to make Sparks your home, then on the first day you can stroll around Lokasari and scope out the hotels for your short time fuck room. Enjoy Jakarta, AR.

I have booked my second trip to Jakarta next month. Last time I stayed at the 'Luminor Hotel Pecenongan by WH' (a 10-15 minute walk to Classic), paid a little less than $50 per night. A perfect hotel, but this time I'm looking for a budget-friendly option.
After RTFF, Pasar Baru would be the best place, as it is centrally located near all famous establishments and offers a wide range of street food options.
Are there any girl-friendly hotels for around $35 per night? I would appreciate it if anyone would recommend a few hotels.
Cheers, TF.
Howdy gents,
Been at the Holiday Inn Gajah Mada Apartment for a while now and kinda bored of here. Have been paying around 800 K IDR per night with breakfast which is quite a good deal for an apartment of this calibre and service.
But I've had enough now. It's time for a change.
Any recommendations for a serviced apartment or a good standard apartment for a monthly rental contract?
Must haves are:
Decent King Bed.
Good AC (The AC in Novotel in Gajah Mada is crap).
Safety Deposit Box in room.
Kitchenette (Hob, Microwave, White Goods etc).
Secure apartment block ofc.
Gym.
Pool.
Same rate or may be under 1 jt per night.
Obviously around here in Glodok or may be Pluit / Ancol. Sea View would be great etc. Not too far from Kita Indah, Classic and Malio ofc.
Any help or pointers from seniors much appreciated and let me buy you a drink + a room voucher at classic as a token of thanks.

Could it be the same obnoxious character?

Cheers, TF.I stayed at the Grand G7 Pasar Baru for a few days during my last trip. It is a three-star hotel and is girl friendly. You may get it at an affordable rate at $35 a night. It is just about a 10 minutes walk to Classic. Pasar Baru mall is nearby. There is a 24 x7 convenience store in the basement (below the restaurant). The rooms are not spacious but manageable, there is no cabinet; so an open clothes hanging rail provided and a small desk. Some room types don't have refrigerators so check while booking the room online. The AC was working well without any noise. They provide a simple breakfast buffet and basic WiFi. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
To facilitate future discussions and just out of curiosity, has anybody ever encountered a non-guest friendly hotel in Jakarta? Is there really such thing? How about other cities?
To facilitate future discussions and just out of curiosity, has anybody ever encountered a non-guest friendly hotel in Jakarta? Is there really such thing? How about other cities?Hotels that follows the Shariah / Syriah rules strictly may not permit unmarried or unrelated couples use the room services. They may ask for marriage certificate for couples. Even some listings in AirBnb calls it out as Shariah compliant or family-friendly (Some say no alcohol / no party). Sofyan hotels, Hotel Seneca Indian Syriah are two such hotels (wink).

Easy enough to tweak on Canva, or you could ask reception and see if they'll sort it.
Bit of a funny one – they've used someone else's rewards number, presumably the chap who handles bookings their end. And the email on the check-in card wasn't mine either. Doesn't bother me – I'm only there for fun really, and I just get a hard copy or ask them to email the invoice to me directly.
I've heard the Best Western apartments in Mangga Dua are even cheaper, though no idea on the quality. Might pop by and have a nose. Any suggestions on alternatives?
Also – how long are you thinking of staying? If the whole invoice / rewards / email thing doesn't faze you and a monthly rate works, I can check with our ISG contact and see what he can do. Or we could try going direct to the hotel. Maybe even see if they'd give a better rate for two rooms if you're open to buddying up. Although, on second thoughts I'd really like to find something else just need to see new faces or perhaps hotter waitresses.

I spent a few hours looking at a few hotels and reviews and basically I'm deciding between these hotels:
Directly at Classic Hotel (Superior Room, Deluxe or Suite, can't seem to tell the difference) - any issues bringing girls from other venues here too / non-working girls from dating apps? Good for nonsmokers?
Hotel Luminor Kota (near Lokasari, but little info).
Red Star Hotel (near Travel, cheap, but maybe too dirty?
Yuan Garden Hotel (girlfriendly or tight security?
Any more info on these hotels would be appreciated.

Whether a date would object to BB because you were staying at Classic is debatable. Jakarta girls are not that sophisticated.
Seeking girls might make the connection and accuse you of being a player. I don't know its a sociological experiment and a delve into.
