Hello fellow mongers. I will be in manila this month end to meet my filipina girlfriend. Any pointers on any good clean hotels with liberal check in policies. My price range is close to 40 usd a night.
Are you talking about the busses out the front? They are not PAL only. I've used them a few times for PAL to CP connections for example. There are exclusive PAL buses. Once I had a tight connection from their international flight to domestic to cebu. They bused us in their own bus. What you are talking about is inter terminal free bus. I have not taken them. Not sure how often they run or if they are punctual.
Yes, there are some cheap hotels near the airport but I prefer to stay in upscale hotels which are a short taxi ride away. But maybe for BB since he lives in Philippines live like Philippine locals.

They work but you wouldn't want to rely on them for tight connections. I can remember some pretty long waits at off peak times. During the day they are much more frequent. I'm guessing there is a formal schedule but I don't know what it is, where to get it nor how well it is followed.

Excellent almost 5 star hotel. I had stayed here long time ago. They have refurbished it. Had a room overlooking the bay. Girls liked it.
Breakfast is top notch. Korean, Philippine, American, Indian, Arab stations serving ethnic food in addition to regular fares. Little bit secluded and need taxi to go anywhere. Room is nice. Bath tub which I used with the girls to soak, separate shower. Room service is expensive. Girls did not want to go out and eat. They have a pool and gym. It is so quiet there and did not hear any street noise you normally hear in busy areas.
As per our hobby any girl can walk in and go to the room. There is no checking. You can probably have any number girls come to your room although I just had one per day. Security is only to make sure there are no dangerous things coming in. Lots of locals come there to eat in the lobby as well as restaurant. Only thing I am not sure is if you bring a random girl after 10 pm. Will they ask for I. The or ask questions? My girls came in the afternoon and left in the morning with me escorting them out. This is an expensive hotel. Even by 5 star standards. Looks good but a bit too expensive.
I am landing at 11 pm. I might be out of the airport by 12.30 am. With 22 hours layover I would need to be back to airport by 8 pm.
Please suggest hotels that are guest friendly. Is that required or mongering there is preferred in ST hotels.
Thanks in advance.

I am contemplating staying at the New Coast Hotel due to its excellent location near Robinson's Place and the overall Ermita / Malate offerings in the area. Does anyone know if this hotel is girl friendly?
RG.
For people who search a nice hotel near LA CAFE not so expensive, rothmann is a good alternative. It a girl friendly.

I search P Burgo area, get a hotel in your budget and pay for two nights. The night you arrive and the following night so you will have the room all day until you leave.

Is it likely to take girl back to the hotel near airport or rather are there any short time hotel for 2 hrs to do the deed near P Burgos and come back solo to my hotel near airport.

Is it likely to take girl back to the hotel near airport or rather are there any short time hotel for 2 hrs to do the deed near P Burgos and come back solo to my hotel near airport.I did that on my last day in the Philippines last November. I picked up a 19-year-old part-time freelance spinner at Robinson's Place in Malate. We took a taxi to the Savoy Hotel, across from NAIA Terminal 3. The next morning, I ordered two Grabs, one to take me to the terminal and the other to take my spinner wherever she needed to go.

Try Victoria Court for a place near the airport.
I've been to Manila before COVID and usually stay at one of the nicer places near Greenbelt, but this trip I'm just passing thru on my way to Thailand and booked an itinerary with a long layover so I can spend one night out in town. I land at NAIA at 7 PM on a Saturday night and my next flight departs at 10 AM the next day Sunday morning so my time is limited, but should be fine for a full night of fun.
I've always had a good time on P Burgos, so that's where I'll be headed. It doesn't make sense to me to spend the money on a 5-star in Greenbelt as I'll literally just be sleeping there and maybe bringing a girl back to my room. So it's down to staying near NAIA or near Burgos.
I've never stayed City Garden Grand but based on all the great tips here (thanks guys), that would be one choice at about $75. I'd just hang out on Burgos for the night and catch a taxi back to NAIA early Sunday morning. I'm guessing traffic won't be bad on a Sunday morning at about 6 AM, even it always seems bad in Manila. This has the convenience of being able to easily bring a girl back to the room for some fun.
The other option is to book a business hotel right at NAIA and just taxi up to Burgos after check in. It's probably too far to bring a girl all the way back to the airport area, but I guess I could always get a short time hotel near Burgos if necessary. Or just have fun behind the curtains in a bar.
Can anyone give me some advice as to the pros of cons of the two options?

Has anyone here stayed in the Coro hotel at Makati city center? Any reviews on it?It's good, cheap, clean, and newish. Busy though. Stayed very recently. They let in dogs -- on two dedicated floors only, 8th and 9th. Suites face the street and get a lot of traffic noise. Deluxe kings are small but somewhat quieter. Elevators just to left of entrance, so no going near desk when bringing in your girl. While personal preference is for the Picasso, this Coro is very close to Burgos bars.

Has anyone here stayed in the Coro hotel at Makati city center? Any reviews on it?CoolDumble + CcoollGuy = same person?
Coro is a modestly nice place in Kalayaan St. Its across the street from a Starbucks. It between Makati Prime Tower and IM hotel. Its a block from Burgos and a block from Makati Ave, just a 1 minute walk to either. Nightly price of p2500-3000 ($50-$55-ish US Dollars) range.
All hotels are generally girl-friendly in the area. When I was there a few months ago, one of my regulars was not only heading in / out of Coro several times a week to be with a client, she was providing other girls to several gents in Coro, marching herself and other gals in / out of Coro twice a day. Caveat: I have never stayed there.
For a slightly cheaper alternative than Coro, just a block away at Kalayaan corner Makati Ave, St. Giles, p1500-$2000 on Agoda (see pic). Plenty of reviews there.

NC is several blocks from LA Cafe and Robinson's Mall Malate. Both good locations and hotels, but not close. When traffic is light on a Sunday (or late night), taxi time is 20 minutes from one to the other. The rest of the time when traffic is heavy, plan 45 minutes from one area to the other.
Same timeframe from Burgos to the airport. Light traffic its 15-20 minutes, heavy traffic 45-ish minutes.

I probably would spend a lot of time with some online girls, prearranged. So. A good place is definitely important. Coro was selected because it offered a suite within my budget. Although, at 400 Sq feet, its almost the same as normal rooms of some of these 5* hotels (at 375 sq feet).

Book your first 2 nights so you can settle in, visit the candidate hotels and decide in person. You will still get rooms P1,500-P2000 per night.
As per Westie post he mentioned St Giles at less than P2 k / night. No streets to cross (Unlike I'm Hotel) and St Giles has a back alley directly to Burgos.

It looks like a 30 minute drive from the hotel to NAIA on a Sunday morning so will leave at 7 AM for my 10 AM flight. I may end up not even getting any sleep but still good to have the room.
Now I just need to do some research on the other threads so I don't screw up my one and only night in Manila. I'll be spending all my time on P Burgos and just need to narrow down the handful of bars that are fun for me.

Has anyone stayed at both the Makati Diamond Residences and the Raffles? Booking my next trip and trying to decide between the two. Really enjoyed the Diamond last time but kind of want to try someplace new.
Also after sampling burgos last time I may venture out elsewhere for some mongering.
My first night in mnl I stayed at the Belmont Hotel. When I checked in the receptionist asked if I had a second person to add to registation. Not sure how girl friendly it is but it seems as long as you register your guest it would be fine. This is the only hotel that asked for my e-travel document and vacination card. The room is nice and if you land at terminal 3, you could just walk the bridge to this hotel. Price was about $80.00 usd.
My last two nights were at the Okada hotel and casino. This place is very nice but you will pay a price to stay there. Didn't bring any girls back but doesn't seem very girl friendly. There staff at the elevators, there's staff on every floor when you get off the elevator. I knew what I was getting into with this hotel but I like to gamble and eat so wasn't worried about bringing girls back. So if you want to stay at a luxury high end hotel with a casino, this is the place. If you want to bring back girls, look somewhere else. I paid about $220.00 usd a night and that was with a discount so it's not cheap.

Both the girls I called to my room just went to hotel reception, who called my room, confirmed I wanted them there, and escorted them straight over. When I personally brought two of my local female staff up to my room for actual work-related meetings, not a single question was asked by any of the elevator staff.
Let's be honest, this is a casino hotel where the clientele is apparently 50% Chinese. That means lots of escorts haha. Hotel won't even bat an eye.
Also. The food was fucking awesome, some of the best hotel dining I've had in a while. Even the in room service was good, while the Kappou Imamura had some truly phenomenal Japanese food. Was highly impressed.

I like new coast hotel in Ermita. No checking whatsoever. It is a casino hotel. But they have room keys needed to get to your floor. So you need to escort the girl. Sometimes you get a good rate with breakfast. Accommodations are 5 star. Never stayed at okada. I like Ermita area because since I started mongering it was go to place. Close by they had buses going to Angeles City.
Hi friends,
Just wanted to check if anyone has ever tried renting a 2 or 3 hour room in Manila malate / Ermita area?
How does it work?
Cost?
Thanks again for your help.
Victor. Most hotels in Philippine offer short time rooms. Cost depends on standard of the hotels. Even you can find a room for 2 HR in 330 peso. For short time the most popular Chain Hotel SoGo you may find every foot step in Manila and your target area is not out of that. Personally I always use SoGo for short time for my sudden visitor if already I have my girl in my regular room. Many years before a girl gift me SoGo discount card, even I never see her again but still gladly using (nasty me). SoGo is the guaranteed and always available option for short time. Here you can find some multiple standard room for your choice.
Happy hunting.

If price isn't an issue, what would be some of the better spots in the area?I always stay at I'm Hotel, when in town, last in Feb. With my local girlfriend never had any questions by the guards. My personal observation while waiting in the lobby for a grab, if a girl REALLY looks slutty, they let her sign in, but in 95% of cases, they just hold open the door, of course, when you come in together.

Since there is a rooftop bar / restaurant they don't typically ID in the lobby because anyone including non-guests are welcome to take the elevators to the rooftop for eating and drinking. They have no way of knowing if the women are meeting a guest or going up to eat / drink. I will sometimes have the girls give me a call once they're on the roof and I can meet them there. Never had any issues. I don't do that with women I don't already know as I would rather have the desk get their ID for my protection.

But you know, they have this really cool website (google maps) where you can see a map of the area of LAC, then move the map and zoom in to find nearby hotels and residences, and then you don't have to ask us to do your homework for you. Check it out.
There are also a number of reasonably priced residences (condominiums) in the area, easily discoverable on this other cool website, which also uses a moveable map.

Anyone have any feedback / experience staying at the Regency Grand hotel near Robinsons. I'm only going to be there one night before I fly to Bangkok so it's not that big of a deal but I do want to avoid it if it's a total dump or not guest friendly. I wanted to be somewhat close to LA Cafe and Robinsons. Searched the forum here and couldn't find any reviews. The Agoda reviews were decent but I am always a bit skeptical of those. Got a very good price on Agoda with cancellation so I can change my mind.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Has anyone stayed at both the Makati Diamond Residences and the Raffles? Booking my next trip and trying to decide between the two. Really enjoyed the Diamond last time but kind of want to try someplace new.
Also after sampling burgos last time I may venture out elsewhere for some mongering.Raffles is my go to if I'm staying there for long term (more than 30 days) but it's super expensive. But no problem getting girls in and out. See my previous comment about it being expensive. Pool is great but not a place where girls find you. Like Shangra-La in Makati. Anyways, get out of Makaiti where you get more for what you pay.

Any info would be appreciated.RG is a real estate organization housed inside of Birch Tower, a 50-ish floor tower a block from Robinson's, on Bocobo St. I think there are several such organizations there. Each owns about 30-ish units (studios and 1-bedroom units) for rent. BT is clean, and is next door to Belagio Square, an indoor / outdoor collection of resto / bars at the base of the building. The only problem might be bringing in a guest who is not registered. BT is on / off-again girl-friendly. Website below has a contact page, you can call and ask.

Thanks.I got a room at the Palm hotel, just a stone's throw from Robinson's mall. I only got the room for convenience to find a freelancer in the area, which was successful. I also had a room at a nicer hotel near the airport, just to sleep.
Anyway, I highly recommend the Palm Hotel for our purposes. It's a no frills place, really cheap rates on Trip.com, but it's very clean, convenient to freelancer areas, and girl friendly. I first checked in to the room so I could turn on the aircon, then went out and found a hot freelance spinner for 2,000 pesos across the street, and brought her up to my room for some fun. 😊.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
And thanks for the tips West. I did read a bit before posting first; was just really undecided. I'm going with your airbnb suggestion for a lot of the nights now. I didn't think about going that route before. I'm going try a unit at 8 adriatico.
I am a little undecided now between gramercy and Milano during my makati nights. Leaning towards a high rise in gramercy but I only see 1 offering for Milano. Kind of want to try the Milano because it seems more rare LOL. What do you guys think?

If gramercy is like 58 floor and Milano is 21st would you still pick Milano? I promise I'll try to stop after this LOL.
I’m pretty set on the 8 Adriatico unit I found. So that’s locked I think.
Btw I’m also going to try the Giles you mentioned in an earlier post. I’m arriving midnight and Giles is one of the most economical options. I’m only going to stay in the room less than 10 hours so going to save my first night.
For AC, I’m going to just stay at royal. I already booked that and it’s right on the strip. So no point in looking further.

Only draw back is, no pool but price is great.
Very clean rooms, AC works great. So far no regrets.

Hello I'm planning to come to Manila and stay at the new world makati, is this a GF hotel? Is it dito bring a girl in?Although I have never stayed at the New World Makati, I am quite sure it is girl friendly and have always personally considered all regions of the Philippines one contiguous red light district, and I am certain most here would agree. I don't think there is a hotel in the Phils that doesn't see pay for play activities; it is part of the Asian culture. Filipinos are quite good at pretending your new found companion is of the most upstanding pedigree, but they might chit chat behind your back, and that too is part of the culture: just roll with it and enjoy.

Hello I'm planning to come to Manila and stay at the new world makati, is this a GF hotel? Is it dito bring a girl in?I have stayed in new world before, and it was no problem with bringing in girls. But like anything else, I would check their current guidelines.
I'm pretty sure I don't have the means to book a place with a private pool in Manila, but I would really love to enjoy some sexy fun with a Pinay in some kind of water. Showering together I have done already, but I was wondering if there are places in Manila where I can book a private spa / jacuzzi / pool room and bring a girl. Either as a stand-alone place or perhaps as part of a hotel. Can be anywhere in Manila. Thanks in advance!

If all else fails the obvious choice is a weekend at ABC, Angeles. Their rooms have dedicated wet areas.

There seem to be a few options on AirBnB that actually show pictures of something larger than a swimming pool in the room. Either that or I'll have to overcome my bias and go to AC haha.
EDIT: unsure if the ones I found on AirBnB actually have private tubs. I'm too big for a regular bathtub I'm afraid.

Longtime visitor, have stayed at Oxford Suites, Red planet makati many times, but wanted to try Manila Palace or Royal Bellagio, since they are both right in the middle of PB. Anyone ever stayed at either of these and what was your thoughts on these.
Last year stayed at Oxford after many other stays, but this time room smelled funny and sheets were not clean upon check in.
Any help appreciated.

Kc.I haven't stayed at Makati Palace but stayed at Royal Bellagio which is really ground zero in the P Burgos scene.
The Bellagio also has the advantage of having Cafe Cubana on the ground floor which gives you a great view of the P Burgos street scene. In the same building is also Filling Station which is a must see 1950's style American diner.
Rooms are reasonably priced at the Bellagio (note: the above information is pre- Covid19).

Bro its a great place to stay. Take the larger room. I have stayed there twice and its amazing. They will not bother you with anything. Only sometimes (depends on how the girl is dressed) may ask for the girls ID. Else no fuss.

I have brought back many girls from the LA Cafe and never had a problem. They have started to require the girls ID. A few years ago that was pretty much optional.

I stayed there just for the day during long layover. Set breakfast not good. Location is good on mabini. Close to LA cafe, Robinson. Very girlfriendly. I had my previous girl stay with me. Next table there was a westerner with a ladyboy during breakfast. He / She tried her best to act like a girl. Not sure if the guy knew the real situation.
Rooms are reasonably priced at the Bellagio (note: the above information is pre- Covid19).It's still OK but gradually degrading the way they do in Manila. These days I'm happy to pay the extra for City Garden Grand or I'm. Still enjoy a beer at Cubana though, and some of the food isn't bad.
After more than 3 and half years of COVID19, start to make traveling again and so excited first stop in the Philippines. Have booked Palm hotel, first time to this hotel so not sure how it will be, will report back once by then. Previously I always stay at New World but now they change to another name like new coast something.
Anyway, try to contact some gal at dating site and one quote me Php 7,000 which I think way too high? Much wonder how is the market prices these days with those girls at La Cafe for ST & LT as well as those freelancer in Robinson place?
Will definitely try this time those massage parlors along the side of Robinson in Pedro gil plus those Karoke along Mabini street.
Cheers,

Flight to Manila booked for next month, now just to sort out accommodation.
My initial plan was just to book an airbnb near Makati but after reading through some listings it seems getting guests into the building could be an issue, a number of listings outright say no guests allowed in the building.
Is this common and is it enforced? And is a hotel a much better bet than an Airbnb? Will be working remotely while in Manila so prefer an airbnb for desk + wifi but if no guests I'll go hotel.
Dear All, after having a long timer using dating site for my prospect temporary partner in my trip to the Philippines, I found out mostly can be categorized in two portion: 1) girls that really looking for a foreigner husband to be married and thee other one is to go for P4 P. In terms of percentage, base on my experience about 2 : 5 respectively. But normally, ended girls coming to my room a big difference from their pictures posted on the site 🤣128514;128514;.
So I am making it a point to pick girl at la cafe! For freelancer at Robinson? Never have any success in terms of quality!

I just booked in Jmmsuites in Malate. No problem with guests. Neither is Bayview suites. There are a swag of condos around Mall of Asia. Most of hotels in Malate have no issues with visitors.Adriatico Grande, Birch Tower (JMM Suites and another organization have about 30 units each in BT for rent on airbnb, with much lower prices on airbnb than if you walk in to the lobby and inquire), Bayview, Baywatch, the Robinson's group, and Malate Bayview Mansion all have allowed guests in the past year. Previous to that, in the heavy covid-era lockdowns, many such residences (and hotels) limited access to the building or room to you, or you and 1 guest.
Having said that, one of the main / large residences among those near Milano (purposely not mentioned here) abruptly stopped me late last year from bringing in a guest. Oddly it was the same guest (lady) who had departed and then returned. I was at the lobby guard to escort her up, but they wouldn't allow her to sign in. I informed the guard that the girl would stay for only 5 minutes. "Sorry po. We have 24 hours rule. When a guest will depart, you must wait 24 hours to bring in another guest". Well, I'd never heard of that before, in fact I'd been bringing in this / that lady, easily 2 (or more) in any 24 hour period, with no problems to that point. Not even the same lady? "Sorry po". Later I checked with the residence Admin and they confirmed the un-announced, unheard of '24-hours' rule (which they later changed / dropped, due to not announcing the rule).
In addition, most owners are woefully unaware of restrictions. They make several errors:
1) They are not aware of the building Admin's restrictions (often times not the owner's fault, the Admin simply makes decisions and then notifies: NOBODY). Owner: "Yes you can bring in your guests as you need". Then the guard stops you, using Admin's policy.
2) The owner makes up his own such restrictions (which he can do), then does not tell the renter about them (which is not allowed on airbnb). When the sh*t hits the fan from the angry airbnb renter regarding the owner's un-announced restriction, airbnb will force the owner to stand down on the issue. If you didn't use airbnb, you might be screwed.
3) The owner thinks the Admin's rules are very strict, when in fact Admin might have no such policy at all. "Our building Admin don't allow any guests. Just you and your registered partner sir". This often turns out to be completely wrong; the Admin has no such policy. I heard this from an owner just a few months ago. BTW, those wrong ideas in the owner's head, they didn't just make that up. It was policy a year or more ago, for 2-ish years, during Covid. Many residences here went to harsh lockdown restrictions, such as: No rentals; or no rentals to anyone over age 59 or under 21; or no outside guests. As covid dropped off the radar many of those restrictions were dropped by Admin, who told: Nobody.
You can protect yourself by calling the Residence / Hotel admin before renting to check guest policy. Also look closely at any such language on airbnb. An owner's failure to mention it on airbnb means you can bring in your guests. Again, call the Residence to check before renting.
One last airbnb owner issue: Three times in the last year, owners insisted that I show them my PP picture page (as ID), and also my most recent inbound PP stamp and my most recent / current / valid BI extension. Either before renting, or before extending my rental for another month.
I'm not aware of any hotels with restrictions at this time.
New Coast is in Malate. Coro is in Makati. Opposite sides of town. Coro is 1 block from the Burgos gogo bars.
Is Coro hotel girl friendly. It's a new hotel.

Do you also have any advice for places near LA Cafe? I see a lot do people recommend New Coast, and I may stay there a night. But are there any good cheaper recommendations for that area? When I compared the pics and all, I found Coro to be newer and more modern. CGG looks a bit dated to me. I stayed in Coro in January. The only thing I did not like is the noise on the lower floors because it is so close to the road and the P Burgos mess.

Anyone has any review on Dusit Thani? Is it Girl friendly? General review?Very girl friendly. It wasn't rare to see hookers or John's waiting in the lobby for the other party to arrive.
A pretty good location but, unless they were renovated during the shutdown the rooms would be getting pretty old by now. I do remember good breakfasts.

I love that hotel. Never had any trouble with getting my multiple GF in a 24 hour period. The reception staff are always so busy, they don't pay close attention to who comes in and out. The Thai restaurant is decent and the bar makes good drinks. I'm staying there in August with my main shorty piece.

".Security gets tighter after 10 pm in some hotels. If you are bringing in a girl security will ask you to go to the reception. Always book the room for two persons. Charges are the same for one or two persons while booking.
Trick is to get the girl or girls inside your room preferably before 8 pm. Nobody comes and knocks your door to check. Although once it happened to me in a Chinese province hotel when I had two girls in my room. Girls started arguing with the management but left after management said they will call police. This is well after I had fun with both girls. For some reason they wanted to remain whole night.
Generally in Philippines if I want two girls I take one girl first and after an hour or so get the other girl in. This was in Bayview Park hotel where I used to stay before. They were strict after 8 pm. I told the front desk I booked for two and they would allow the girl. If they ask what happened to the other girl before I would say she left.
Nowadays I stay at new coast hotel exclusively. No checking or anything. Just need to escort the girl to the room because room key will allow you to take the elevator to your floor only.
I believe after covid hotels have become strict or maybe want to be morally correct.

In such a case, the charge will remain at P1,200.00 per person if multiple visitors are present and if they surpass the designated curfew hours (past 10 pm". ".If your open to another spot, maybe try the 1898 Hotel. On burgos and kalayaan. I never was questioned once. Great hotel and decent restaurant too. I averaged 2-3 a day without issue. Even coming in at 2 am there were no issues, also the door guys were solid. Warned me about a couple drama queens to avoid. Buuut, this was right as the pandy kicked in. So things may have changed. Can't wait to be back in January.
Any recommendations for a girl friendly hotel close to Manila airport? Trying to avoid traffic.

Hey folks, I'm glad to see folks out fresh from the pandemic. I haven't been to Manila since 2018. I plan to head on over first week of September. I usually do a night in Manila before heading over to Angeles. I'm planning to stay at City Gardens. The old heads, of the room, may remember. There used to be a bus from a hotel in Ermita (Australian themed hotel) to Angeles. Does anyone know the name of that hotel and if the bus service is still being offered? If not, how are why'all getting to Angeles?

City Gardens Suites in Ermita was my regular stay, too. Just a reminder about the exact name, as there are a couple of other City Gardens somethings in Makati, and possibly another in Ermita which I think became Lotus Garden. I'm pretty sure the Aussie hotel with the minibus was Southern Cross or Swagman, although whether they run the service, or are even still open under the same name, I've no idea.
I used to go on to Olongapo and just took the regular bus service, Victory Liner, but they are not great for Angeles City. Each company seems to have it's own terminal in Manila, so it is probably worth asking one of the staff, possibly one of the doormen. The terminals at Sampaloc or Caloocan are the better bet, as you are heading in the right direction to get to them.
A very long-winded post to say I can't give you too much current information, other than if all else fails, get a taxi.

The last time there, I took a Grab Taxi to the airport and caught the Genesis Bus to SM Clark in Angeles. Many will tell you to catch one of the real Public Buses in the City, but the Genesis Bus from the airport still has the feel of private service. I hope I explained that right.

The Swagman Hotel and the Southern Cross Hotel in Ermita operated buses to Angeles. They both closed before Covid hit, probably around 2018 or 2019. I now go out to the airport and take the point to point bus to the SM Mall from Terminal 3.

As I recall, the Swagman Hotel was a real dive. Good riddance!Don't quote me but didn't they also have buses to Batangas to link up with the ferries to / from Sabang. Obviously, long gone now.

Hey folks, thanks for the really good information. Yes, Swagman's was a real big dive. However, they were GF friendly and had great breakfast. It sounds like P2 P from the airport to the SM Clark sounds like the best option. I've done the Victory Lines to Dau Terminal. It's hit or miss with the type of bus (air con vs no air con). I have no time for that. I have taken Grab. Those guys always seem to ask for extra money. SMH. Let me know if anyone will be in Ermita early part of Sept! Cheers 🍻.
And just to be more specific, I'm looking for a girl friendly hotel near Terminal 1.I've been doing a regular flight between LAX and BKK that has an overnight layover at NAIA and it uses Terminal 1. Based on a recommendation from a friend who goes to Philippines a lot, he suggested the Belmont Hotel. I'm usually Marriott / Bonvoy but both the Marriott and Sheraton at NAIA were in the $200+ range and I figured I'd save some money since it's just a place to shower and crash for a few hours.
It seems that most of the hotels are in that Newport Area on the other side of the runway from Terminal 3. There are places near terminal 1, but they all looked substandard to me. My friend suggested that I could do a 15 minute walk from the Belmont to Terminal 3 and then catch the free inter-terminal shuttle to go to terminal 1. Even though I only had a small backpack for the layover (I check my suitcase through) I didn't feel like dealing with walking so I grabbed a taxi which was cheap. Same when I landed, I just grabbed a taxi from Terminal 1. Because you have to go around the runways it's sort of a long route but it's still not expensive but I don't remember how much.
I thought the Belmont was just fine, nothing fancy but it was very clean. It's very similar to the City Garden Grand near Burgos in terms of quality and was about US $100 after taxes.
Also, it's girl friendly. But I did have a glitch. My flight got delayed by a lot so I knew I was landing late around midning instead of the scheduled 6:30 PM. So instead of trying to get into the city so late I contacted a friend of mine who was to bring 2 of her friends for a 4-some. Good way to start the trip! But when I landed one of the girls backed out so 2 girls showed up. There would have been no problem but one of them didn't bring her ID and the front desk wouldn't budge about letting her up with out it. Eventually she got a friend to find her ID in hjer room and text a photo of it and the desk accepted it. No joiner fee just a lot of wasted time.
I am doing the same itinerary again soon and might stay there again, or I might make the trip into Makati and stay at the City Garden Grand again.
I recently stayed here and this is my experience.
The hotel is very girl friendly. They don't care who walks through to the lifts. I have met the girls and walked them to the lift, and at other times had the girls come on their own (going out to pick up something for me, and coming back on their own with my room key). Never been stopped.
There is a rooftop bar on 32nd floor, as others have mentioned, which does not require a card to access (which would explain why they can't monitor people going to the lifts). I have told girls to meet me there and then taken them down to the room with me.
About the hotel itself, the rooms are good. The lobby is a bit cramped and deary, but that does not do justice to the hotel itself. There is no mini-bar in the room. There is a fridge though. The staff will point you the 7-Eleven right across the street when asked. The rooftop bar has average food, nothing great. Being Makati, you have plenty of options outside though. It is a pleasant place to sit and work during the day. Did not try the bar or the drinks.
During my stay, one (of three) lift was under maintenance, so there was a crowd usually waiting to get in and sometimes had to skip one to get in. In general, I think even with three lifts, it is quite busy.
As others have mentioned, don't confuse this with City Garden Hotel nearby.

I now go out to the airport and take the point to point bus to the SM Mall from Terminal 3.I used to take fly the bus all the time before covid. Very convenient. It drops you at the hotel in about 2 hours. I did the search again it says fly the bus still operates from slouch hat hotel (maybe new owner of swagman hotel). Not sure if anybody went there and checked on it.

The bus drops in front of SM Clark. Choices at that point to get to your hotel are: Trykes, taxi (minimum p300 to move the car), or walk.
On the return trip to Makati, I took a private car (p3500), with pickup at my AC condo direct to my Manila condo.

Thank you for relaying your experience. After getting the runaround from I'm Hotel, I switched my reservation to City Garden Grand. Given the fact that relatively few hotels around the world are truly friendly to mongers, it makes sense to patronize the ones that seem to actually want our business.

Given the fact that relatively few hotels around the world are truly friendly to mongers, it makes sense to patronize the ones that seem to actually want our business. If you want the luxury of a 5 start hotel but want the convince of your own room, I suggest you buy a room at a KNOWN love hotel in order to eschew any hassle you may encounter at a more discerning hotel / airbnb.
What I do is buy a reasonable AirBNB that I may or may not register one of my more trusted women to enter the Inner Sanctum.
And then proceed to buy a secondary hotel close to the action where you meet the hoes / hookups that you would not bring home to mama which would most likely be a sogo nearest to your preferred redlight area.
This does add an extra expense but given that you can reserve a strict AirBNB policy room for relatively cheap and live luxuriously as well as have a safe house in the redlight district that is stocked and ready to go as soon as you arrive is what I usually do now days. As staying in girl friendly hotels is not my first choice.

When the conductor collects the toll, kindly ask him to drop you at McDos at Fields. You'll have time to take your lunch at the Paradise Bar before checking in at your preferred hotel.

Hey folks,
Staying at Hop Inn in Ermita / Malate. Girl friendly and cheaply priced. As mentioned in multiple posts. No need to spend a grip on housing. Make sure your girl have government issued ID (disclaimer only one girl at a time). Walking distance to the hot spots. If you want to spend money, give it to your companion. I know it's your money however 5600-7000 pesos for a room in the Philippines is insane to me. IMO.
HAPPY MONGERING.
Any feedback from anyone who has stayed here? I assume it is girl-friendly. I will be taking two sisters 25 why. O and 18 year old Cheers.

If you have the $$, stay on the 9th floor, Club Room Floor. Free pupus / cocktails from 5 pm-8 pm. Or around those hours. Also has 2 computers to use on that floor. Have your own concierge there also. Hotel offers free shuttle to MOA. Or, can walk across street to little mall with supermarket inside, travel agent inside also. Kenny's chicken is a 2 minute walk. LMK if you have any other questions.

O and 18 year old Cheers.I had stayed at Heritage hotel many times long ago when it was considered high end hotel and well managed. Then something happened and it was allowed to run down with no maintenance. But totally girlfriendly. But at that time there was a bunch of clubs right across the road. You can get girls there and just walk across.
My favorite hotel now is New Coast Hotel in Ermita. You can take as many girls to your room as you want. No checking.

I'm going to be back in Manila in December. I was thinking about having my girl check in for me so that things are ready when I get there, especially since the place we will stay is near where she stays and has checkin 3-8 pm and I don't arrive until 10 pm. I haven't booked here yet. Is this something that is possible if the place is booked under my name?

Once she registers she has free reign if she wants.

Just book the hotel room in her name. She will need a credit card or 1-2 k cash deposit to be booked in.
I have visited MNL often over the years. Just prior to the start of Covid (November of 2019) I pulled a Smooci girl that has been above and beyond. Mid-30's, bisexual, divorced, busty, and beautiful. We hit it off unlike anyone else. I'm not a rube. I've had others tried to "work" me in PH, Thailand, and China.
While there in 2019 she brought several of her horny, semi-pro girlfriends in for 3 somes. A good time was had by all.
This has made any hotel a monger-friendly hotel. My girl registers with me on day one, and when anyone shows up as a thirdy she goes down to security and brings her "girlfriends" in without anyone batting an eye.
After Manila reopened in March 2022, we've been in five different upscale hotels around the city without issue.
She will need a credit card or 1-2 k cash deposit to be booked in.Not all hotels require a CC or cash deposit.
After all that you can't advance 2 k to her for the deposit?

I am guessing a condo, given the check-in time (hotels can usually check in anytime). If its an airbnb, you will have to pre-register the girl via airbnb, by sending a copy of her valid ID thru airbnb.
As to hotels. Its hit / miss. Some places will allow this with cash. Other places might insist that the one who made the reservation actually checks in. Aggregate sites like Booking or Agoda might also have specific policies regarding this.
Either way, you could just call or contact the owner or residence in advance and ask?

Hi all,
In a couple weeks I'll head to Philippines for the first time, yay. I have a couple of weeks in total, but I'll figure most of what I'm going to do as I'm there, but all that should go into another topic. This one is for Manila Hotels.
So, for a first timer in Manila, where to stay at? From what I've researched there is 2 main choices? Go near La Cafe or near P Burgos?
On the Hotels price / quality wise I keep coming back to either Manila Palace Hotel or City Garden Grand Hotel. I think I've seen both been suggested before somewhere in this topic as being friendly for bringing a friend.
I'm not a big one on bars, going to give the dating apps a shot LOL. So that made me think the La Cafe area might be better? But pricewise I keep going back to those two LOL.
But maybe you guys have another good suggestion? Besides it being a clean place obviously, I really have only 1 thing I really look for: A bathroom with a separate walk in shower (absolutely hate tub showers). If there is a tub, fine nice extra, just a separate shower LOL. And not so much a requirement, but cool bonus, high building with ground to ceiling windows.

Only just got there, so didn't do much yet, not much to report on what I mean to say so that will follow.
But I ended up booking City Garden Grand, they claim 5-star, I'd say I'd be a 4* but fine. It's quite good, room is more spacious than I thought it would, and already noticed it's definity girlfriendly. Some guys with their ladies walked up and got in the elevator when I was checking in, nobody even looked or blinked at them. But I do believe you need to escort them up yourself elevators are locked with your keycard.
I might extend in Manila and may switch to the New Coast in Ermita, I did see that one before too. Let's see how the first few days here will go haha.
I'm spending a couple of days in January in Manila on my way back to the US and I will be flying a cutie from Davao that I've been talking to for several weeks up to spend those days with me. No advice on that part needed. My advice is looking for a decent hotel near the airport. I've stayed at a couple that were okay, but nothing special. Free airport transfer for us would be great, as would a restaurant. Near the airport is good because we both have morning flights on a Monday with bad traffic. Any advice of places would be good! As always, cheaper is better if quality is okay.

Belmont Hotel. It is near the bridge way over to terminal 3. Pretty decent hotel. They do check for ID's.
Savoy Hotel. A little newer hotel. Just show your ID when checking in and have your girl sit nearby.
Holiday Inn Express. A little further but still convient to terminal 3. This one is the nicer of the 3. Same ID check in as Savoy.
All hotels do not have a shuttle to the terminals. Just take a taxi.

From Belmont you can walk over the sky bridge to Terminal 3.
From Savoy you could walk over to T3 but it would be pretty dangerous to jaywalk across multiple lanes of 2 way traffic. Have the doorman get a Grab car for you 100 pesos. Or take a taxi out front 100-200 pesos.
From Holiday Inn have the doorman get you a taxi 200 pesos.
Taxis from either hotels to Terminal 2 will be 300-500 pesos plus 45 for the skyway.

Can you please verify that the Koreans you had seen there do eat dog?Ya, J, that was kind of a sick joke (I think).

Ya, J, that was kind of a sick joke (I think).Small Richards jealous of K's.
Thank you for the advice WC especially. I booked a condo across from NAIA Terminal 3 for two nights and got a good deal. I bumped my regular and am flying my 21 yo Mindanao cutie up for some pre-Christmas fun together. Of course my regular isn't happy but said she would be there if something happened. Either way, it's a win-win for me!

Anyone have recommendations for short stay (3 hour) hotels near Robinsons Place Manila? I may be soon in the area for a function and can't use my hotel room to bring a girl back. Didn't see any Victoria Court hotels in the area. Sogo seems to be a 15+ minute walk. Any better options if I spend an afternoon at Robinsons and pick up a FL?
I did see a praises for Palm Hotel, but not sure if they'd give me looks or I'd have issues if I checked out 2-4 hours after I booked a room earlier that afternoon.

Palm, Executive, Las Palmas, Riviera Mansion, Octagon Mansion, Amelie, and Rothman hotels are within 2 blocks. Directly across the street from Robinson's (Pedro Gil St) is Eurotel, they often have a cheaper ST rate for walk-ins. There are 2 Sogos about 10 minutes walk, but 2-5 minutes by taxi. Also, 2 blocks from Robinson's is LA Cafe, and there is a ST place next to it. Anyone remember its name? The Victoria's Court is across the street from one of the two Sogos, but I think its name has changed.

There 3 nearby hotels to Terminal 3. Priced $60-95 a night. All with free decent buffet breakfast for 2.
Just take a taxi.Belmont hotel breakfast sucks but cheaper than Holiday Inn. Lots of restaurants in the mall for lunch / dinner. Me personally I'd stay at the Hilton but over your price range.

Maybe out of the price range of the poster asking. These are convenient airport locations for me the night of my flights out.
Savoy and Holiday has not ever asked for my guest (s) ids. I have my guest sit in the lobby while I register. Then we go up to the room with the porter. Never had a problem.
I have had to or 2 or 3 more girls come later and up the elevator we go. Convient to import girls from AC and send them home in the morning via Genesis Bus at T3. T3 has been my terminal for 90% of my flights.

Yes, intended for the original poster, no offense to you.My apology for my misunderstanding. I realize now it was intended for the original poster. And English is my first and only language!
The Hilton looks like very nice hotel for not too much more. I might have to give it a try. The only issue I have with the hotels are availability of reasonable taxi at 7 am to terminal 3. At Savoy I just walk out to street and hail one down and ask the price.

I just haven't found many ways to tell if a hotel offers short stays as all the prices I see are for 1 night. Many of the hotel websites are broken or don't mention short stays, and same for hotel reviews or questions posted. I'll use your suggestions to narrow things down.
Looking on google maps, it looks like it may be "Brickstone Residences" that's next to LA Cafe.
As for your last remark, you're right. According to google, 3 of the Victoria's Court changed names to Hotel Ava: https://www.esquiremag.ph/money/industry/angie-king-victoria-court-hotel-ava-a2512-20220627.
Hi all,
I'll be staying in Manila during Feb and was going to stay at the City Garden Grand hotel in Makati due to its proximity to P Burgos.
There are just a few things I dislike about the hotel and maybe someone can recommend an alternative.
Firstly I see the rooms have the weird bath / shower combo which I don't like. Are there any hotels in Makati with a walk in shower?
I also am unsure if I am able to get Netflix on any of the TVs (I know most hotel TVs aren't equipped for this). Hopefully there is a hotel somewhere with Smart capability.
I would also prefer a large outdoor pool. But this is not a necessity.
Thanks!

Thanks!I only have experience with City Garden Grand in the P Burgos area. I had a Deluxe King Room there and those rooms have a separate walk-in shower and a separate bath. Now I didn't see the other rooms, but I contacted them before booking and they told me by e-mail that superior rooms have walk-in showers too. I know your feeling, I hate bathtub shower combo's too.
Netflix, ye no can't help you there. The TV in my room was "smart" but there was no Netflix pre-installed. But this is hard to find outside of private condo rentals etc I think. I'd recommend bringing a Chromecast of sorts. Only problem is that you'd need it to be on the same WIFI as the device you want to cast from. I never tried, but technically it's possible I suppose. Maybe someone else can help out here.
What I can say about City Garden Grand though, they really do not care who you take up on the elevator with you haha. But yea the pool is on the small side. The rooftop bar is kinda nice though.

I just saw condo room via Airbnb for $35/nt at Gramercy Residences (plus outdoor pool) which is about a 5 minute walk from P. Burgos. They have a lot rules over there, but you cannot beat that price. The room in question looked nice.

Thanks!Doc is correct. There are a number of residences in the area with all of that, within 5-10 minutes of walking to Burgos Street. Airbnb is your friend here. Gramercy, Milano, Knightsbridge are upscale and will have smart TV's connected to their stream-ready wifi, a balcony, and walk-in showers. And each has a nice pool. City Garden Grand hotel (see picture) also has nice rooms and lovely rooftop pool (not sure of wifi speed stream-ability).

* I should get a commission.Infos are great. But one important point is missing:
The system to register guests is from condo to condo very different. Some ask a preregistration with copy from ID sent to the host. Other guards playing Judge-of-Moral and make the registration process to a hassle. And with a temp registered guest you may have no acess to the pool. All this you only will learn once you stay there. But then moving out will make you loose your deposit.
Hassle free acess of your play-mates, be it one or two, is the key to an Air BnB matching for our hobby.
Hi.
I need an advice.
My first trip to Manila and there have been booked hotel for me. City Garden Suites, Ermita.
I want a good hotel with quiet room, good aircon, safe at the room. And according to the web all this is ok.
But what about the possibility to bring in ladies without problems for ST or LT? I always book the room for 2 person although I travel alone.

I was always happy with the hotel, although your standards might differ, and I don't recall any issues with noise. Safe in room, and aircon worked, although key-card for room had to be inserted in a slot to turn on electricity (lights, TV, AC etc.) No problems about guests ST or LT. I used to regularly see an Arab businessman who had a mamasan deliver a choice to the lobby. I also took a girl from G-Point bar into the Jollibee's opposite, and we were both called out to by the bartender!!

It has everything you require plus is very girl friendly with the only requirement that the girl have ID; plus, the room has a great view.
Looking for a 4-5 star hotel with a discreet guest sign-in process.
I stayed a 5 star hotel in Bangkok and when I had a girl coming, all I had to do was call to tell the front desk that I'm expecting a visitor and tell the girl a name and room number. When she arrived, the front desk would call and confirm then send her up to my room with no problem.
When I stayed in Manila last week, I had to come downstairs and awkwardly stand outside with her as she girl fills out a form with security guard before she can step foot into the hotel. Then I had to personally escort her to my room. I can feel everyone staring at me. The guards even make small talk with the girls and I'm afraid of them saying too much. One of the girls I signed in worked at the local mall but the night before I had an escort over. I don't want her know what I've been up to. She became my regular for the remainder of my trip but I was worried they would eventually tell her I've had other 3 girls over before her.
Plus its awkward having to see the same guards every day when I leave / exit the building because they seem to be amused at my night time visitors.
Are there any hotels in Manila with a similar process as what I had in Bangkok? Where the girl registers and escorts herself without my physical presence?

Are there any hotels in Manila with a similar process as what I had in Bangkok? Where the girl registers and escorts herself without my physical presence? You are describing the 'walk of shame', which is SOP in most of Phils. Having the girl sign in and surrender her ID at the front desk or guard station (door) is also SOP (it protects both you and the hotel). On her departure, the same procedure. If you are not present with the girl, they must call your room to OK her departure (their concern is that the girl has stolen something from you, and they need your approval for her departure). Some hotels and residences (condos) don't have a phone in the room, so you must either escort the girl out, or if you don't escort her, then you are indemnifying the hotel / residence for any wrong-doing on the part of the girl (ie, stealing your stuff).
The Bel-Air Soho in Makati (a block from Burgos St) allows easy entry / exit from the girl, as there is no phone in your room to call you, and you don't need to be present. However if you get drugged by the girl or she steals your stuff, they will not help you with your situation if you don't escort her out. Also the BA Soho is a lower-end, older residence.
Previous reports here of the City Garden Grand hotel in Makati also describe easy girlie access to your floor and room. RTTF the Makati thread.

In these days of smart keys, more and more times a guest cannot even access the lift, let alone rooms, even if the resident prefers it.
The OP need not worry about staff attitudes. It's hardly the first time they have seen a hot 19 yo arrive to visit her "uncle". She's probably chatting to security because she has been so many times that she knows their kids' favourite subjects at school. 😁.

I'm coming for 3 weeks to Philippines in June and landing of course in Manila first. Depending who I am meeting maybe also going to Cebu, Davao, Bohol, Tacloban etc. For at least a week or maybe even two. Or might just end up staying in Manila like I did last year. Last year I booked a cheap AirBnb close to BGC but not really in BGC so it was quite cheap but the building was old with some rats at the pool and cockroaches in the room sometimes. Now I was thinking to rent a bit better place so maybe it wouldn't make sense to reserve for 3 weeks and end up leaving for a week or something. What would you suggest? Renting an AirBNB for the first week and then see what happens? If stay more in Manila maybe go for a cheap hotel then? If AirBNB have slim pickings on sush a short notice? Or book many AirBNBs before with a cancel option? Also it is a bit difficult to find an AirBNB with "good" security policy. Some Makati condos I have asked even don't allow visitors at all and only registered guests can enter the condo unit. Other one had a policy that no overnight guests are allowed. In some place it was possible if send a copy of guest's ID 24 hours before her stay, which might also be difficult to arrange. Is there any Makati / Bgc / Poblacion etc. Condo with less security? Like the last place I stayed in (Ridwegood towers) the guard was there downstairs looked at me but never asked a question no matter with whom I walked to the elevators. I'm looking for possibly max $40-50 a night maybe close to Greenbelt or Poblacion maybe even Mandalyong.

Complete bullshit I say.
On my last six visits post covid, I've collected my luggage and next thing you know, I'm outside facing the familiar chant of "Taxi Sir?
Not once have I been stopped by customs, or have actually had to deal with them, which I find quite strange every time, yet very convenient after a long flight. Phil.

Hey fellows, I need some advice. I'm going to be going to the Makati Manila area. I'm trying to find a hotel that is decent that isn't like a roach motel but at the same time I can bring women back to the room without any issues there's a non-pro girl that I am seeing there and other hotels I wanted to stay at you had to register the other person as a guest and I'm not comfortable Registering somebody else to my room just yet so I'm trying to find a decent room in the Makati area that's a good hotel reasonably priced $100 a night but is guest friendly.
I'm going to be there the first and second week of October.
Any advice will help thank you.

Any advice will help thank you.Guessing Eddie didn't RTTF.
Makati, near Burgos St: City Garden Hotel, St. Giles Hotel, City Garden Grand, I'm Hotel, Coro Hotel, and Makati Palace, as seen on the map, all a 2 minute walk from the Burgos St gogo bars. A few short blocks away are condos: Gramercy, Milano, and Knightsbridge.
Try looking on maps.google.com, and enter MAKATI in the search box.
Enjoy the local flora and fauna, and write us a descriptive report of your proclivities.

I've never had to give my wife, GF, hooker de jour's name at the time of the booking. If she's half presentable, they probably won't even ask for her ID. If there is any doubt, they will just take down her details.
All are standard practice so no one will be surprised regardless if which way it goes.
Enjoy. G.

Sorry I would of said this before I'm hotel emailed me back no non registered guests after 10 pm wtf is that about. That was my original hotel I wanted to stay at.All it means is that if you bring a girl home after 10:00 PM she has to leave her ID at Reception. I assume they register her but you don't need to even know about it. You can bring as many as you want 1 at a time or 2 at a time for a fee. Coro didn't stop me with my girl on the way in at 2:00 AM however she had to show her ID and they called me before she was allowed to leave. I don't think City Garden Grand even cared, no ID check and no call when the girl left.

It looks really nice, but it made it sound like I had to register the girl to the room where she would have access to the room and I wasn't OK with that.

I know other helpful guys here have addressed your issue but don't be put off by hotels registering a guest. It is Makati after all and they do it not only for their security, but yours also. And they see guys bringing back girls for a romp every day of the the week. Not so sure about other hotels, but the Garden City (Not to be confused with the GC Grand) has been great for me. Clean comfortable rooms, great roof-top bar and lovely staff.
When you book a hotel room, just make sure you book a room for two (it won't cost you any extra) because I made the mistake once of putting down one person when I booked online and they tried to use it against me when I brought a girl back, saying I'd only booked a room for one guest and then they wanted more money out of me. It's actually 'refreshing' to have reception call you before a girl leaves to make sure everything's okay and she hasn't knicked your wallet before they let her go. Just my experience. Phil.
..but it made it sound like I had to register the girl to the room where she would have access to the room and I wasn't OK with that. It's actually the other way. The girl giving her ID is for your protection not to give her unfettered access. When it's time for her to go home, you will likely get an in room phone call that your guest is leaving and is everything ok? In the rare case that she has your wallet in her pocket then that is the time to speak up and she will be held by security until you get everything back. She will not have access to your room alone unless you hand her a key.
Enjoy. G.

Enjoy. G.I think there was a language miscommunication from the email I got from I'm hotel. I was under the impression that it wasn't a hotel that was guest friendly, and I had to have the person registered to the room as like registered to the room where they can have access to the room like a guest for the whole stay I didn't realize that they just Take their ID for my safety which is a good thing. They do the same thing in Dominican Republic so it was a miscommunication on my part. I just wanted to make sure the hotel was friendly and there was no problems with me staying there and I can bring girls back to the room.

I've had a few business trips to China where the communication is not great compared to The Philippines. I simply emailed the hotel in advance asking what their guest policy was. I then had a reply in 'writing' which was valuable, compared to fronting up at reception and saying I was told verbally it was okay to have guests. As the other guys have mentioned, you won't have a problem in Manila unless you're inviting a girl who has had issues with the hotel previously for misbehaving. Phil.

...you won't have a problem in Manila unless you're inviting a girl who has had issues with the hotel previously for misbehaving. Phil.A valid point. If a girl is being refused entry to a bar, restaurant or hotel, then it's best to heed the warning. It's typically for a reason. Venues don't turn away business without cause.

Hey folks,
When I was in Cebu last, I stayed in a 4-star hotel and they allowed me to order a massage from an external provider at around 1 in the morning. No questions asked.
This time I will be in Manila and looking at a couple of 5-star hotels like Shangri-La, Ascott, or Peninsula. The questions is, if I get a massage from an external provider past midnight, would they let them in or would it be against policy?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't had a problem in the past.
Just make sure when you book a room it's for two people (shouldn't cost you any more as most hotel bookings are for the room only).
Your guest will most probably have to register with reception on arrival for security purposes.
The best thing to do is always email them first and explain you'll be having a guest arriving and when. If they give you the go ahead in writing in reply, you then have that to show any troublesome security guys or front desk staff.
Hope this helps.

I did reach out to some of the massage service providers and asked them for hotel recommendations and they all said that any hotel is fine as they don't run into any problems coming to a guest's room when a massage is booked. So, I think I am all set.
Will report back in case I run into any trouble.

The last 3 trips I've stayed at Red Planet / Manila Bay (across from the US Embassy) reserving a bayside room for maybe a little less than CGS. It has everything you require plus is very girl friendly with the only requirement that the girl have ID; plus, the room has a great view.I'm glad I did a search before asking a question. I was going to ask about this very same hotel and you basically answered what I needed to know. I think I'm going to stay there for the price is hard to beat. I was going to stay at I'm Hotel but it's like three times as much as this hotel.

Cons: ? Maybe stricter guest policies.
YMMV but I like the area around Greenbelt 3 or 5. Close to daytime and night time amenities and easy for girls to find.

Any star hotels in manila or in Phillipines. You will have no issue bringing chicas to your room as far as my expeirance.
I stayed at 5, 4, 3, 2 star hotels, the most your chica have to do is to register at the desk, which I highly recommand for your safety, unless she looks minor, A LB sometimes they question.

Coro hotel chica friendly? With proper ID of course?
Their policy on their website states We should mention.
Only registered guests are allowed in the guestrooms. All the hotels in the area are chica-friendly (its the heart of the red light district). On occasion a hotel (CGG comes to mind) will have specific written policy that prohibits unregistered guests, or possibly prohibits guests after a certain time (say, 10 pm). However that is largely ignored, and unregistered guests (possibly including any male friends you might bring in) will simply surrender a valiid ID and register at the door with the guard (or at the front desk).
However I will mention one oddity. In 2022 (covid rules) I was staying at Knightsbridge Residences and brought a girl in during the afternoon for a few hours. The guards at the door had the girl sign in and surrender her ID. She signed out a few hours later and collected her ID and went on her way about 4 pm. About 6 pm I walzted in another girl (we were heading up to my room for a minute so that I could pick up some extra cash before our evening out). The guards stopped me and would not allow her to enter. They said they had (at the time) a "24 hours policy", that I could only have one guest in any 24 hour period. They were familiar with both girls as my long-time regulars, but would not allow another guest until the following day at 1 pm. I complained to the unit owner, who had never heard of the policy. Fast-forward to a year later in 2023. I brought in that second girl one night about 1 am, no problem. We decided that she would stay with me for 3 full days / nights, with her running home to pick her kids up from school in the afternoons, and her being gone for about 2-3 hours each afternoon. When either we left the building together (restaurant, shopping, whatever), or she left by herself, she did not sign out or pick up her ID. We'd done this before in numerous hotels / residences over the years (including KB). On the second day, after we went out for lunch and returned, the guards stopped us and chewed on me. "Sir we have 24 hours rule. No guests more than 24 hours. The girl can not go back inside". Fellas, wait, I thought the 24 hours rule meant can't have 2 different guests in a 24 hour period? "What? No sir. Never had that rule here before* GREAT! Had to leave the girl outside at the door and run upstairs and retrieve her stuff for her and send her home. That was about 1 pm. Five hours later I brought in the first girl again, and they said nothing about that. Outside of these two instances, I did not run into any other issues with KB Res, bringing in this and that girl within a few hours of each other; and I have since kept a 'guest' for several days again without checking her out, with no obstructions.
The Coro. When hotels started re-opening in late 2021, that included Coro. I have been a fan of the Starbucks on Kalayaan St, across from Coro. Back then, and ever since, from my perch on the second floor of Starbucks, I have watched quite a number of my regulars (and many other FL / gogo gals) register at the front and waltz in with her client. Several times as 2 girls in a 3-some. A bit later the girls come back outside and hoof it over to 7-11 with some of the gents money and pick up foods, beer, etc (without the gent present) and then re-enter the Coro completely unobstructed. That includes 2022,2023, and this year. Have multiple times txt said girl (s) who were heading to 7-11: Hey I see you and I love that red dress. Reply: "Really! Where are you?" I am the eye in the sky sweetie, I see everything. "Can I go to you tomorrow morning? 10 am?" Sorry sweetie, I have your friend Gemma coming tomorrow morning. "Tomorrow afternoon then?" You must think I am superman. I will check my schedule and get back to you.
* Two of the four guards at the front door, who were telling me that KB never before had the 'no multiple guests within a 24-hour period', were also on duty a year prior explaining their 'no multiple guests within a 24-hour period' rule to me and denying my second girl entry.

Anyone know how airbnb are with guests?I only stay in airbnb or aparthotels. Usually the guest criteria is mentioned on the page but generally must have ID and be over 18. The rules are always set by the building. I have only been in one that did not require the guest to be logged at reception.

Anyone know how airbnb are with guests?Yes, see my previous post regarding Knightsbridge Residences (read: condominiums). Almost all condos in phils are rented thru airbnb or the other online reservation services (agoda, booking, expedia, etc) and are usually girl-friendly.
A caution. When we say 'usually', or 'last month when I was there it was all cool', that means USUALLY, or IT WAS BEFORE. Anything could change. You can nail down your concern a bit (and only a bit) by contacting the hotel / condo directly and ask for an emailed guest policy. However, like with CGG, while their written policy might say NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS, they usually ignore that and never bother anyone. OTOH just your (or anyone's) bad luck, they have a bad experience (or three) with hookers and they start enforcing the silent policy around the time you get there. This is extremely rare, and was something that happened during 2020 and 2021 during covid (some hotels and residences changed policies often, back and forth, and didn't bother to tell the front desk or guards).
Also consider CGG's policy of not checking anyone's ID or stopping anyone from entering the lobby or using the elevators. Your girl could rob you blind while you sleep, then simply elevator down to the lobby and depart the building, as she doesn't have to retrieve the ID they never asked her for.
There are rarely such issues. And no guarantees.

There are rarely such issues. And no guarantees.I like the fact that you have to show ID. It's the same thing when I'm in the Dominican Republic. It protects me, but I'm more concerned with a hotel not letting me bring anybody back. That's not registered to the room as a guest staying there for how many nights I'm staying there. I have no problem with them showing ID to come spend time with me, but I don't want to register anybody to the room where they have access to the room on the same level that I do.
My fear of being turned away with strict guest policies after paying a ton for the room would piss me off royally.I guess that if you tried hard enough, then you could find the only hotel in manila to turn away hookers. The same for air bnbs. However, it's never happened to me and I've been known to drag home some absolute shockers.
If you are totally paranoid, you could message where ever you are considering but everyone else is correct saying that whatever is policy is only a guideline with reality much more lenient.
You will find that the Philippines really is what ever you can get away with and if you are reasonably sensible that's almost anything.
Enjoy. G.

Similar for booking or agoda. You can always inquire as to the building's unregistered guest policy. Its been my experience that the owner / host almost never knows the correct answer. Half the time they reply "I don't know sir". You have to ask them to inquire for you. The other half that reply are usually wrong 90% (or more) of the time. They say things like "I don't allow any unregistered guests", or "Just drop your guest's ID at the guard, its all good". A quick call to the building's Admin will (usually, but not always*) get you the correct answer. Airbnb requires owner / hosts to give you updated, correct information. If they do not, you can request a partial refund after your arrival, claiming that the 'unit is not as described' (there is a separate complaint category for 'unit is not as described' in a drop-down list. Some examples of airbnb owner / hosts / residence f*ck-ups:
1) Rent a unit in KB. Arrive and the owner (nice lady) checks me into the unit, shows me the TV, wifi password, and so on. As she's leaving I ask about the building's unregistered guest policy. "No sir. I am the owner, I don't allow any unregisterd guests. Don't bring any. The Admin and guards won't allow it". Really, I just rented here last month on another floor, it was allowed. "NO". Did you mention this in your airbnb listing? "No. I only rent to pinoy. They know better to not bring outside guests". Really! OK. She departed, and upon my leaving for lunch that day I asked at the front desk, the guards, and the Admin. All said the same old policy of guests giving an ID and signing in was still in effect. I msg'd the owner thru airbnb app, her reply: "NO"! So I msg'd airbnb ("Report this listing") and asked them what to do. Like you I was not in the mood to not bring in the chicas for 2 weeks. Airbnb reply: "The owner does not mention her personal policy directly in the listing. Your complaint is legitimate. Airbnb considers all rentals to be utilized like our own home. Use the residential Admin's policy. We have messaged the owner". A few hours later the owner sent me a txt msg rant, outside of airbnb, asking me not to bring in any guests. I ignored her and seeded a chunk of Burgos. I also reported her to airbnb for telling me that she only rents to a certain group of people.
2*) Arrive at my condo / residence and inquire as to the building guest policy (covid era) at the front desk. One concierge says yes and to surrender an ID, another concierge says no outside guests. One guard says yes, the other guard says no. They send me to Admin. One Admin lady says yes, another says no. A continued disagreement for several minutes. They ask me to come back later. I return to Admin a few hours later, and the final answer is YES. A few hours later I am bringing in this evening's girl, and the two (shift change, different) guards can't agree on the policy: Yes? No? They ask the two (different) concierges, and get the same disagreement. They told me to ask Admin again tomorrow. No entry. The next day I asked the same two Admin ladies again, and they said they forgot to tell the staff. GREAT! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
That was covid. You might have to go thru several committees in the same organization to find out what's really policy in Phils.
Airbnb also has a communication method within the website or app that allows you to contact the owner..Waaay more difficult than it needs to be. 😁.
It's much easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. Better to just grab a handful of the skankiest street hoes, drag them back to any hotel or BnB and start banging away. When someone protests that they don't permit skull fucking at the breakfast buffet, then Eddie knows to tone it down a little.

Its possible that FGEddie is familiar with the hotel game in Mexico and central America. Where most any hotel seeing you bring in any unregistered guest will want a 'joiner' fee, and make things difficult for you until you pay up. In SE Asia, its normal to whisk the ladies in / out. Hotel staff just keeps their heads on a swivel.

I guess that if you tried hard enough, then you could find the only hotel in manila to turn away hookers.
Enjoy. G.Thanks for your help. I just do not want to book a weeks stay at a location and get hosed on guests visiting. I had issues in columbia and DR with some hotels before. I learned the hard way to read the fine print prior to booking.

Thank you for your helpHi Eddie. As the other guys have helpfully mentioned, you shouldn't have a problem.
I just make sure when I book a room it's for two people (shouldn't cost you any more as most hotel bookings are for the room only).
Your guest will most probably have to register with reception on arrival for security purposes.
The best thing to do is always email them first and explain you'll be having a guest arriving. If they give you the go ahead in writing in reply, you then have that to show any troublesome security guys or front desk staff.
Hope this helps _Phil.
Enjoy!
Thanks for your help. I just do not want to book a weeks stay at a location and get hosed on guests visiting. I had issues in columbia and DR with some hotels before. I learned the hard way to read the fine print prior to booking.Option 2 is that there is no law saying that you must have the whole holiday's accommodation pre-booked. I've arrived in many new towns with only a night or two booked at a hotel. If I like that town / hotel, then I extend. If not, I move elsewhere. Assuming you're not arriving in the middle of a major tourist event there are always options.
Enjoy your visit. G.

Hello, what's the best area / hotel recommendation for a first-timer in Manila around $35 range? Thanks.$US? If you are doing online hunting then it doesn't matter so much. The club scene is around Makati. I prefer Malate as I never go to bars ever, Pasay is close to Mall of Asia. All have hotels in the price range.
Hello, what's the best area / hotel recommendation for a first-timer in Manila around $35 range? Thanks.Hi Mate, as DG suggested it's probably best to look through the forum or a hotel search online for something at that price. Makati is where most of the action happens. Just make sure in advance your hotel allows guests to avoid disappointment.
If you get a cheap hotel in another area and travel into Makati for some action, just be aware Manila traffic can be hectic. Taxi's are fairly cheap, but sometimes it's better to pay a bit more and stay in a convenient location. I'm not sure if you'd get a decent room at that price in Makati, but I stick to my usual hotel City Garden and pay about $70 - $80 USD (Plus 'room service') but I'm only there the day I land and the night before I leave the PH.
Just my experience. Phil.

Hello, what's the best area / hotel recommendation for a first-timer in Manila around $35 range? Thanks.Normally that's bottom of the barrel range, Sogo's and pensionne houses.
Your options are to read the past reports and or go to Agoda.com.Agree with the other gents that BM has not RTFF regarding hotels. Also a look thru BM's posting history shows more questions asked and few solid field reports.
However, as I am the nicest fella on the board (not to mention considered the 'most honsom' in SE Asia when I'm in a gogo bar), I'll give it the old kolij tri. Consider St. Giles hotel (see attached pics), which is in your price range. I found it on Booking for about $40 (w / taxes)/ night. I only set it for one night; if you change that to a week you will probably get a lower per-night rate. Its on the corner of Makati Ave and Kalayaan St, just a block from the Burgos St action and 2 blocks from Century Mall. Clean rooms and a pool.
I also saw St Giles for $17/ night a few weeks ago when I was in Manila. There, that only took a few minutes to knock out. Gewgol, Agoda, Booking, Expedia are your best friends forever. Try something when you get there: Write us a solid FR. Where did you stay, and at what cost? What was the place like? Where did you eat, and what was the rough cost? Where did you get your girls? Cost? Looks? Performance? Demeanor? Describe the experience for the gents. Don't forget our new board 'attach picture' function also.

Gentlemen! Any recommendations for a hotel near Burgos St with truly quiet rooms and solid WiFi? Looked at Citi Garden Grand, Coro, I'm Hotel as options. But some reviews mention "noisy rooms" so makes me hesitant to book.
Visiting for a week and will likely "Work From Hotel" - will need to take the occasional zoom call at random hours of the night and sex noises from the rooms around / street noises would likely be very embarrassing.
I appreciate any and all guidance. Thanks!

I've never had a problem with City Garden (not to be confused with City Garden Grand just across road and over the intersection). Rooms are quiet, no traffic noise and I've had to work out of them too. On numerous times I've seen guys taking girls into the neighboring room and not once have I heard the chant of "You're the best I've ever had" coming through the walls. Phil.

Thanks Phil. City Garden it is then. Not a problem IG. You could probably get a room there cheaper as what I originally quoted. Depends on occupancy, time of visit, type of room etc. Etc. I usually get a deal through Booking.com but search them all. Free wifi has always been solid there, but like anywhere in the Phils, always best to have a back-up plan when it comes to internet access _ Phil.

I appreciate any and all guidance. Thanks! In regards to noise and the two City Gardens on Makati Ave. Near Burgos. City Garden Grand is the newer hotel by far. The rooms are much nicer, thus more expensive. The issue with Grand for me though is the traffic noise on the majority of their rooms can be pretty bad with all the honking of the horns. If you can't have traffic noise, then go with the rooms without windows called No View in either hotel. If you don't need the extra luxury that the Grand offers, the regular City Garden is basic and comfortable. Both hotels suffer from not enough elevators for the size of each hotel.
No specific reason KB. Just always stayed at the Garden and never had an issue there. Great staff, great hook-ups via the staff and never a problem with the rooms. Couldn't personally comment on the Grand as I've never stayed there. Phil. Thanks PhilJ. Makes sense. I am a sucker for that extra bit of luxury and cleanliness which I can use to flex. In my last visit, I had some girls (from a bar) visit me (no barfines) in my room outside of working hours. After my events, they were more than happy to sleep in the room, watch the city from the window etc.
Anyone have any info on whether this hotel is girl friendly / not?
Currently booked in heritage hotel but location wise and price wise, I am more keen on Valero Grand suites but not sure if it is guest freindly?
Any tips / advice would be grand!

I've stayed several places in Manila, and most have a restaurant that serves breakfast. I had business at the US Embassy and stayed at Bayview Park Hotel near there, and it had a large breakfast buffet. American and Filipino foods. Looking for variety instead of offering a couple of tasteless cereals and milk and white bread in a toaster I've had that experience in a hotel before it was awful hahaha.
I'm new to Manila I came across mall of Asia which is supposed to have many restaurants inside so thinking of staying near there and maybe the breakfast won't be as important after all if MOA is nearby. What do you think?

Anything under 100?Yeah, hotel rates have shot thru the roof since Covid. I used to stay at the Makati Fairmont when it was a Fairmont for around $125/ night and they usually upgraded my reservation to a 1 br suite upon arrival. Their gourmet buffet breakfast was always included at no extra charge. Ah, the good old days! Like you I won't pay these crazy new rates, but I still stay at 5 star hotels on points and voucher nights.
For example, check out the Chase Hyatt CC. As a signup bonus, Chase offers new card holders 5 free nights at a Hyatt of their choosing and every year a free night's anniversary voucher for renewing. I am heading down to Sao Paulo shortly after their Formula 1 week winds down. I am booked at the JW Marriott, a $350/ night hotel, for 5 nights all on hotel points and at the Grand Hyatt for 6 nights on points and my annual Hyatt voucher night. After that I am booked into a friendly, more than adequate 4-star hotel for $95/ night which is walking distance from one of my favorite SP bordello nightclubs called Bomboa. So, I am all set.
Thankyou Axel I will check them out.

Better to spend $50 on a basic room and dine out at a $30 breakfast. The only downside is that often these places don't open until 10 am. Manila is not built for morning people.
Thinking outside the box another option would be an $80 Airbnb and have girlie cook for you every morning.

Airbnb also has a communication method within the website or app that allows you to contact the owner / host prior to booking and ask questions. I guess the moral of the story is don't use Air BNB.Respectfully disagree, and for several reasons:
1) You would have run into those same problems if you'd booked the same unit (or any unit in said residence) at the time if you'd skipped airbnb and used Agoda or other online agent (which I did at different times).
2) 2021-22 was an especially wild and difficult time everywhere regarding hotels and residences, given different countries covid responses.
3) Pinoy represent a uniquely superstitious group. Many condos owners took their units completely offline during that timeframe (nothing wrong with that). Others did not take their units off-calendar, they simply ignored guest questions in the online system (Agoda, Booking, bnb, etc) and rejected every rental attempt, or said no to anyone they didn't feel comfortable renting to (seniors, persons of other nationalities), or left their units showing as available and over-priced it to stop rentals.
4) Good news. At some point, the system returned to normal as Covid became less important. You rarely run into a residence that does not allow unregistered guests in Phils (ala Goferring recently). Those daze are ovah. However if it does happen to you, YAFUKT! Actually not completely fukt, you just might have to forfeit your current rental and find a new place.
