I'd prefer not to stay near the bars. There are numerous condos in Makati that are not near Burgos St. Gramercy, Knightsbridge, Milano. Jazz Residences. In Saucedo and near Ayala, just a mile away. Closer than BGC I think.

Looking for a short term hotel near City state Ermita (catching the sikat to PG). I'm landing at 5:30 am, girlie is meeting me at the airport, going to taxi or grab it to ermita and bang out a quick round or two before the 9:30 SiKat, what are my options besides stopping at a sogo on the way?
On my recent trip I was arriving latish on a Sunday night. I booked a simple room at St Giles Makati which has been mentioned in various forums a few times.
Less than $50 deal with breakfast at the time.
Easy walking distance to Burgos without it being in your face.
A hoped the check-in process was handled simply and quickly.
Hotel was and is girl friendly. There is a simple book for the girls to sign in.
Breakfast was more Filipino style than western. It was a good reminder of what to expect over the next week, cold eggs, lots of rice.
After this one night I relocated to an airBNB.

I'm landing at 5:30 am, girlie is meeting me at the airport, going to taxi or grab it to ermita and bang out a quick round or two before the 9:30 SiKat, what are my options besides stopping at a sogo on the way?Hey Joe_ I can't see any other options because the time frame is so tight between landing and getting the Sikat. My experience of landing at terminal one has always been a good wait for luggage, and that's hoping that you land on time. I've never had any delays in customs though, and have always just walked straight through. And then there's the issue of Manila traffic, especially depending if you're arriving mid-week as opposed to weekends.
Maybe don't limit your choice of transport to PG with Sikat as they only have the one trip per day in each direction.
Jam Liner busses run hourly from Buendia Bus Terminal to Batangas Pier and you just have to buy your fastcat ticket in the terminal. This also might be a cheaper option. And you could stretch your time out to an 11 am or a midday bus heading towards Batangas.
Having said that, in answer to your original question, I can't think of any other options apart from a Sogo.
The only other option would be to head straight to the bus station from the airport, get to Batangas early, grab a short time hotel there, which there are options, and then travel by water from the terminal after you've banged out a quick round or two.
Hope this helps _ Phil.

https://hotel-ava.com/contact-us/ used to be Victoroa Court group.
No need to book ahead, just get your grab to take you there and choose. I used to use this place when my driver brought me from AC to the airport and I'd go there for a farewell sendoff from my GF.
If arriving at NAIA late night I do book a room though.
I had a friend meet meat the airport, took a grab to the city state tower, and inquired at the desk. They gave me a room for 1500 for 12 hours so I could "shower". It was good enough for 2 hours, didn't ask about guests so I just brought her up with me. It wasn't the cheapest option but to be fair it wasn't terrible.

There is a short time hotel next door to LAC. Not suggesting you pull from LAC, but its a short walk from CST. I can't remember the name of the place, does anyone else remember the ST hotel name?
Any recommendations around Poblacion for about $50 a night for 4 nights? Other than St Giles. Was thinking about City garden grand but of course it is a bit over the budget. Is Red planet too basic or even girl friendly? Makati palace too old or Travelers inn? Not a fan of cockroaches. Royal bellagio too noisy? Or just increase the budget for a better one?

Not a fan of cockroaches. These first two items don't go together. Anything less that your dollar amount might be an invitation for the little critters.
Or just increase the budget for a better one?Yes.
Why don't you want St. Giles?
TI, Sunette Tower, and Bel-Air Soho are lower-end condo / residences (you get on a first-name basis with the little critters). That doesn't stop me from staying there sometimes.
CG would be a better bet. CGG will be about 2 x your nightly rate.
Just up the street is Fersal Neptune hotel, just across the street from Century mall. Clean, but a bit older building. Probably within your price. There is a Sogo 2 blocks away.

Yes, you can save money on cheap accom for your "budget" but you are not seeing the big picture.
St Giles is quite acceptable plus they feed you.

So far I didn't see any place in South US or SA or SEA regardless of price, free of the pesky critters, just the density on sq ft varies, depending on price.
I guess if you like nice weather, they like it too.

I usually do the City Garden. The staff are great and there's no problem with guests unless they're really dodgy freelancers. City Garden Grand I haven't tried, but I've heard mixed reports for the higher price.
My first ever Makati hotel was the Fersal about 20 years ago and I imagine it hasn't changed too much. But it's in a really good location and although the rooms were fairly basic, it wasn't a worry.
(I can't remember any problems with roaches in any of these establishments, but they don't worry me when I've got a hot Filipina bouncing around the bed).
Did the Sogo once for a one hour session and the place seemed a bit seedy and not the sort of place you'd want to stay other than a short term fix.

I stayed at Grand Rivera across from the US embassy, few minutes walking distance from the Midnight Heaven (ex LA Cafe) which is packed with FLs, the most I've seen congregated in one place in PH, 5 minutes walk to the giant Robinsons Mall, and the Rizal Park and museums, all teaming with young girls walking around, careful, they may be too young.
I booked via Agoda, but the place is kind of Airbnb managed. At The Grand Rivera the entry lobby is wide, with the place where you wait for the elevators around the corner and out of sight, and there are tons of people going in and out at any moment, therefore no problem bringing in anybody, as long as you're not part of a walking circus, attracting everybody's attention.
If you get an online hooker, just outside the entrance there is Zus Cafe where you can have the initial job interview, before letting them in to your den. Also there is a 7/11 to buy stuff that you may need.
Have Fun!

One day I'll have to try and stay near Midnight and thanks for the tip. I'm so used to flying in and heading straight to Makati. Basically because the business meetings I have are around Rockwell, which is close by, and the Buendia Bus Station is close for a quick trip to PG and Sabang. I also have a few regulars who visit me at The City Garden, but I suppose they'd meet me anywhere for a few pesos. I've just heard a lot of negative reports on Midnight / LA Cafe. But I must say it's intriguing.

I've stayed in Newport City several times. Savoy Hotel, Megaworld, Belmont Hotel. This location is across from Terminal 3, and is easily accessible by an air-conditioned pedestrian foot bridge.
I went for the weekend to meet my partner. I booked two rooms, two nights, for just over 12 k pesos total (one room for us, and another room for her mom, who was helping care for our baby so we could spend more time together). Accommodations were good, and the bed was really comfortable. Shower is large and ready for fun, if that's what you're into. Lots of dining options, from Macdo near the footbridge (don't they have the best fried chicken? To finer dining options. Warren's and 711 just a short walk for any needs you may have. It's a nice area. If you want to treat your girl to shopping for cheap, take her on jeepney to Baclaran. It's about 15-30 minutes from there, and super cheap. I bought her several things, then she bought pasalubong for her entire family, too. Extended family. And it was about $60 total.
This location is not close to mongering hotspots. However, they do not really restrict guests. You just have to meet the girl outside and bring her inside because the elevators are key card operated. It's not the worst setup, IMHO. I've brought freelancers there on a couple of occasions before without issue.
I recently searched for a Holiday Inn and noticed this hotel which I did not even know existed. Theres been a lack of well located decent IHG hotels in Manila ever since the Intercontinental shut down many years ago. Has anyone stayed here or have any intel on this hotel? Is it GF? I've read a bunch of the tripadvisor reviews and they seem to say its a decent hotel, but the elevators are slow and theres a lot of security, not much about ability to invite guests up to the room.

While I can't comment on this particular hotel, I've found that any hotel I've stayed in, that if you tip the security and doormen and are really friendly to them, there won't be an issue taking girls back.
That is of course, unless they're really dodgy and 'known' to them.
Sure, the girl will have to register as a guest at reception, but slipping 200 pesos into the security guy's palm during a friendly handshake can work wonders for the remainder of your stay.

Normally priced about mid 40's a night on agoda. I'll be staying there Mid March, should be good times. Last time I was there I had multiple girls ordered in, and some I brought from Burgos without any issues, but they did make the ordered in girls sign in and called me down to meet them in the lobby. The security was cool, gave me a heads if a trouble maker or ladyboy was trying to talk to me on the street.
Hello.
I arrive in Manila on the 18th for a quick layover before flying to the M. E. For work on the evening of the 19th.
I was wondering if there are any hotels in Manila that offered free late checkout possibly after 8:00 pm That's not the Peninsula Hotel.

Booking dot com and Agoda both have a messaging system to contact the hotels or condo hosts. Expect 24 hours for the return message from the hotel. You can also get the hotel's number from their website and call them directly.
The reason to contact the hotel directly, as opposed to trusting what the gents say here, is that policies change over time, possibly since the last time another fella stayed in the hotel he recommends.

The chance of a free 8 pm checkout is close to none. If you have status 4 pm is usually it without paying a half day rate. I usually book a really cheap hotel if you just want somewhere to stay.

Don't know of any off hand, but you might want to consider some of the short stay hotels, and book an extra half day.Good catch. Short time hotels Sogo, and also Lokal, are at either end of Burgos. Sogo is located a few steps from the Burgos / Makati Ave corner, and Lokal is just steps from the Burgos / Kalayaan corner. I think both places offer 3, 6, and 10-hour ST rates.
Also at the Kalayaan corner is The Clipper hotel. A hundred meters away towards Makati Ave is Coro hotel. You can always just book an extra night, or ask before reserving to book until 8 pm.
On the attached map, those hotels and several others in the area are marked with a red circle. Also circled are the Red Planet hotel and St. Giles. The blue arrows are where the gogo bars are located. If this is your first time, you can walk the entire length of the arrowed Burgos area, from Makati Ave to Calderon, in about 3-4 minutes. There are 15-20 gogo bars available.
Release the tension, and then tell us about the experience.

The other guys have offered some really good advice for you in previous posts.
My flights back to Australia with PA always leave at midnight, so I always just pay and book an additional day at my hotel.
Whilst this may seem like a waste of money, it saves the hassle of moving to a short-stay for the afternoon, or worry about where you can leave your luggage until your flight.
And you can have a pretty wild time with your contacts leading up to that time you have to check out and head to the airport.
I've often thought it might be an idea to open a bar with short time rooms right by NAIA. Or at least a decent bar close by for departing travelers.
But I've got too much other business stuff going on at the moment.

Maybe ten years ago_Phil.Yes, a bar with ST rooms and luggage storage will be the best business investment for somebody that's in the know.
Sometimes I go to SOGO hotels for by the hour rental, even if is not for fucking purposes, only to have some place to rest or keep the luggage if the flight is too far from the 12 pm checkout time, it's cheaper than paying for another day at the hotel where you're staying.
Greetings, will be in Manila for a week towards the end of March. Staying in Publacion to be walking distance for mongering. It seems like both Coro and 1898 both fit the bill for our budget (60-70/ nt). Any strong preference in the group between the two? Will be a group of 4 guys in our mid 40's getting our own rooms. Rooftop bar would be nice but it's hard to tell if either have one. Any other strong recommendations within walking distance? Your experience is appreciated. Cheers!
Hi,
Any knows if the Grand Hyatt in BGC is girl friendly? Stayed there before but with a GF. Outcall / Gogo girl needs to show ID at reception or can I take her from the lobby directly to the room?
Thanks.

Hello, I just want to alert that at Air Residences Condo, the entrance during the night is not really Guestfriendly. Sometimes, any guests must be announced during daytime with full name, name must be indicated in the list of visitors at the security!
I stayed low cost at Jupiter Suites, very close to P Burgos St, paying about 2 k online for a very big room, old but clean and everything working. No issues to bring even 2 guests.

However, registering guests at the entrance guard (or front desk at some hotels) is considered 'guest friendly', is fairly typical, and protects you (somewhat) if she does something stupid in your hotel room. Non-guest friendly would be a complete rejection at the hotel of you non-registered girls.

I have been asked to register any possible guest until 8 pm by WhatsApp, and with preference with attached ID.
That makes night hunting complicated.

That makes night hunting complicated. Thanks the update. After 8 pm, in order to bring in your guest, you had to send the hotel a picture of her ID via WhatsApp? Or alternately, if you plan to bring in a guest after 8pm, you must register via WA before 8pm? And if you so register the girl this way, does this avoid the walk of shame (can she enter, show her ID to the guard, and proceed directly to your room)?
Never heard of that before.

The other City Garden hotel across the road is another option with a rooftop bar, pool and a little cheaper I think. However I can't compare the two as I've never stayed at the Grand.
Staff are great and it's basically 'no questions asked' at reception as long as your girl has ID.

I never use the public swimming pools, because as was clearly stated in one of the South Park episodes, the composition of the water is 50% H2 O and 50% pee.
At home at least l know that's only pee from family and close friends.
Regarding the Okada, it IS very girl friendly, actually. Both the girls I called to my room just went to hotel reception, who called my room, confirmed I wanted them there, and escorted them straight over. When I personally brought two of my local female staff up to my room for actual work-related meetings, not a single question was asked by any of the elevator staff.
Let's be honest, this is a casino hotel where the clientele is apparently 50% Chinese. That means lots of escorts haha. Hotel won't even bat an eye.
Also. The food was fucking awesome, some of the best hotel dining I've had in a while. Even the in room service was good, while the Kappou Imamura had some truly phenomenal Japanese food. Was highly impressed.I just got back from a layover in Manila for 36 hours staying at the Okada. But I was traveling with my wife so decided it was probably not going to work out to have an escort visit even if my wife was pre-occupied at the casino 😊. This was my first trip to the Philippines and doesn't really count as a trip since I went from the airport directly to the Okada. I pre-arranged a limousine with Okada and I think I paid USD $70 for both ways. For a first timer, this was money well spent. The scene outside the arrival terminal is pretty chaotic. I think there are two entrances to the Okada, not counting a VIP entrance. There is the Coral lobby and the Pearl lobby. I went to the Coral. The hotel is located in what looks like a tourist zone that is being developed so it is not anywhere near any of the rest of the city and not somewhere you would walk around. There is a serious security entrance as you drive in. There is a policeman with a military assault rifle, another guy with a mirror looking under the car, and a sniffer dog. At the hotel entrance, you go through a metal detector. There was security in the lobby and one security person at the elevators on the ground floor. Mostly they were very helpful with directions. No security on any of the other floors. I guess it would be pretty discreet meeting a lady in the lobby and going up to your room. There are lots of non-guests coming to the Okada for the gaming and maybe the shopping if you are into overpriced designer type stuff. When I checked in, the clerk told me the hotel policy is no guests after 10 pm. I am not sure how they would enforce this and whether you would haver to register a guest. It would be very easy meeting a girl in the lobby then going to the casino. There are multiple ways out of the casino and some elevators with no staff. However, if I was coming to Manila on my own, I don't think I would choose Okada. Although the dining options were pretty good. The "Medley" buffet was outstanding. I had a massage in the Retreat Spa that was one of the best I have had but I am 100% sure there would be no he. The spa is excellent and prices were reasonable. I had the pool to myself until I notice a young woman sitting in the shade reading her iPhone. Turns out she was the lifeguard and explained this was a requirement even though the pool was 3 feet deep.
As posted, the Medley Buffet at the Okada was outstanding. All you can eat lobster, self-serve wine (a drinkable selection of white / red / bubblies) and included cocktails (limited selection but as many as you want). Breakfast buffet was also excellent. Okada is a foodie paradise especially for Asian options. There is a row of sit-down restaurants as well as high end Japanese, Chinese, and Korean options that looked quite elegant but reasonable prices.

Hey all.
I'll be visiting Manila for the first time later this year and am looking for hotels. I'd like to stick to hotels that belong to chains that I have a loyalty sign up to.
I'm not sure exactly what I'll do in Manila yet but will want to hit Burgos, LA Cafe and anywhere else that has mongering activities to be enjoyed. Can anyone recommend which of these would be best placed geographically please?
(I know I can look at maps but that's not the same as local knowledge).
1) Admiral Hotel Manila MGallery.
2) Sheraton Manila Bay.
3) The Westin Manila.
Also, would the hotels in New Port be too far from the action?
Thanks.

Looks to be a good location as it is on roxas so easy to get to both la cafe and makati and other areas. Mostly GM type clubs nearby.
2) Sheraton Manila Bay.
Walking distance from la cafe, 20 min no traffic to burgos, 1 hour traffic. Of the 3 I would go with this one, its at least next to robinsons.
3) The Westin Manila.

This one looks like it is in mandayulong / marikina and that is about 1 hour no traffic to la cafe, and no idea what it is in traffic. But it gets you close to fisher / cubao area which is very good for online fishing but requires a bit more experience.

Walking distance from la cafe, 20 min no traffic to burgos, 1 hour traffic. Of the 3 I would go with this one, its at least next to robinsons.
3) The Westin Manila.
Also, would the hotels in New Port be too far from the action? Thanks.
This one looks like it is in mandayulong / marikina and that is about 1 hour no traffic to la cafe, and no idea what it is in traffic. But it gets you close to fisher / cubao area which is very good for online fishing but requires a bit more experience.Thank you.
What is a GM Club?
You mentioned Sheratons is next to Robinsons. Robinsons is a mall right? Are you saying that it's a good thing for general convenience for shopping or that there is some kind of fun to be had there?
How about New Port? What's the travel time like from there to Burgos or LA Cafe?
Thanks for your help?
For your purposes, I'd choose the Sheraton which is the old Pan Pacific: quite centrally located. The best bet in the area other than LA Cafe is ZZYZX which is just down the street on Adriatico situated on the circle. That action there starts a little late, but there are some lookers in that club. There is this YTuber named Asian Night who has done some good vids on ZZYZX and the KTV bars in the area.
