AMAw gee. And I was so looking forward to an Artemis visit during my stay in B-Town this weekend. Now I'm all frightened.

Not sure which is more troubling: The reported STD "epidemics" at Artemis and World or our panicked reaction to them. It still seems to me that the guys with the problems should go drink a drugstore, then call up Artemis and World and let them know what the situation is. Regarding your point about guys that get STDs that do not tell the girl or do not tell the club I agree with you. During my times in this hobby and funnily more often heard in the FKKs are other fuckers that do get STDs but just go get it fixed then go back to the hobby like a duck to water.

Some do report it to the club but the occassional feedback is that they want to return to that club again and to create a fuss may be a black mark against them by the club and by the girls who hear of it. You become tainted by being associated with having a disease. So these guys consider this and do not make a fuss with the club. It is good to hear these stories from other fuckers. You assume a great deal here. While I'll agree that an STD can be an embarrassing thing to deal with, I really don't see why one would be ashamed to inform a club about it. Call up the folks at Artemis, ask to speak with the manager, tell them when you were there, who you were with and what you caught. Fertig! You could also mention that you are a member of a known MB where info about FKKs is exchanged and that you were thinking about informing your fellow posters about the situation. Not that you actually do it, but it would certainly get their attention.

Things have gone up some from the last time I was at Artemis. It's now 80 euros to get in versus 70. AMJust out of curiosity, and not in any sort of attempt to negotiate a lower rate, I have spoke to a few girls recently about pricing. In particular I asked whether there would be any enthusiasm amongst the girls for a new price structure based on the NRW model. In NRW, the first half hour is 50E, then 25E for another 30 minutes, another 50E for the third half-hour, the 25E for the 4th half-hour etc. It occurred to me that in the present financial climate such a pricing structure would benefit all sides. The guys would have every inducement to extend a session beyond 30 minutes whilst the girls would regularly get an extra 25E (50% increase) for time that they would otherwise be spending in the lounge trying to pick up the next customer.

The response I got was a resounding 'No! ' from all the girls I mentioned this idea to. 'I don't fuck for 25E' was the typical response.

So, even if management were amenable (which they aren't) , I don't envisage much appetite for price refinement amongst the ladies.

I wouldn't say that negotiation is an impossible dream in the FKK clubs. However I think you'll find only a minuscule number of SPs who will bother to negotiate with you; especially when it comes to the price of a basic. 30 minute session, and most of the common extras.

Now having said that, where you could have some room to negotiate is when booking extended sessions (I. E. 1.5 hours or more) and multiple extras in a single session. Recently a girl at Oase offered me an "all nighter" for 300 EUR. This was 'round midnight and would have essentially meant 4. 5 hours of room time. Not the first time I have received such an offer. This can happen on very slow nights or conversely, on nights that are VERY busy, crowded, stressful and when room waits are especially long.

Now, if you decided to try and "nickel-and-dime" most girls when it comes down to a normal session, then you will be quite surprised how fast (and I mean within a period of ca. 1.5 hours) you will get labeled by most SPs as someone to be avoided. These girls size up the clientele and usually share their observations with their clicks. Many of us "regular" club-goers would be rather surprised to know what our "guest scorecard" is amongst the working girls.

I'll give you an example: I've been hitting clubs for well over a decade and at one club in particular, I am known as a somewhat fun guy who usually sticks to his regulars and more often than not does 50 EUR sessions and no extras. This is pretty close to accurate, as I maybe extend one out of five sessions and rarely throw an extra into the mix. This tendency changes when I visit the NRW clubs since extras and hour sessions are more of a bargain.

When a couple of running mates of mine and I hit this club, and if we happen to be lusting after the same lady, I usually end up batting cleanup since these guys more often than not take hour long sessions. Plus, they are handsome dudes, and despite my many charms I might come up a tad short in the looks department compared to these bums. (I have to mention this, otherwise they will get their very sensitive feelings hurt.)

I also know a guy who tends to be very rough with the girls and I have actually had a few girls hide behind me when he comes anywhere near. These girls haven't been to the room with him. They just know his rep.

Maybe it's not important to you, but one of the best ways to make your club visit (s) enjoyable, is to have a good reputation with the girls, and that evaluation starts pretty much from the first moment you enter a club. If you are know as "cheapskate boy" then many girls, especially the better SPs, won't bother with you. Or if so, then they probably will not give you their A-game in the room. I've heard so many girls complain to me about guests who try to negotiate a 30 minute session for less than the standard house price.

I am much like you when I make my infrequent visits these day-a half hour man, no extras. I find though that as I am pretty straight with the girls I tend to get a pretty reasonable level of service. Suppose a girl decides at the end of the session that she wants 100 for the extra and takes you to the front to complain. In a situation like this, I'm sure that the club will side with the girl. Far fetched? Wouldn't be the first time that a girl lost her memory about or "misunderstood" a negotiation.

Now if you are a club regular then it might be different. Also if you know a girl and have a good relationship with her, then you should be OK.

Personally, I usually decline the long term sessions. 300 for 4. 5 hours may seem like a deal, but at that point of the evening I probably only have a few pops, and I could do long-time girl and and different honey for only 100. Plus I have issues with paying a girl, even one that I like for conversation and smoke breaks.

I'm guessing that Mr. Dim might be using the p4p settings in some Asian fun centers as a model for how things are done. But it's a different game in D'land.


I am much like you when I make my infrequent visits these day-a half hour man, no extras. I find though that as I am pretty straight with the girls I tend to get a pretty reasonable level of service. Of course some try the up sell but as I am firm and polite about it they never end up taking my refusal as an insult.

AMMost girls will give a solid half hour session (unless we are talking about Palace) , and I don't mind an SP offering extras. It's her job and in her interest. Also, even though I don't hit Artemis all that often, I've never had an issue with a gal getting sullen about doing just a regular 30 minute deal. I think it might be due to the 60 Eur rate.

The basic idea of the seminar was that a person who works for Someone tends to not want anything to change even if it ultimately might benefit them. Employees tend to think only short term when it comes to their benefits (pay scale). So asking and employee to take a hit in their salary so that the might Benefit at some unspecified time in the future is an up hill battle.

That the girls at Artemis are not really employees does not seem to matter. What matters is that they seem to think of themselves as such.

But I don't think even a 60-30-60 would offer much of an advantage for the girls' interest. Personally, when I go for one hour, I don't usually decide it rationally beforehand. In fact, I don't usually decide for it at all; it kinda just happens. Of course, the availability of a cheaper time extension would let me be more liberal, but I don't think it would make much of a difference, unless I'm feeling financially uncomfortable that day. And if that's the case, I'm not going to be a good customer that day anyway.

First day I saw 4 girls.

Customer volume. May be seasonal but I worry when some very solid performers complain about business. A couple mentioned they were going elsewhere on a website based venture to see if that works better. Hopefully we will not lose them.

On a positive note, there was a great atmosphere in the club after 3. 30am. I tried changing cash at the ICC Messe once and could not. I change near Zoo Station on K'dam, prefer the one a block west of Beate Uhse Museum etc.

Hey nobody more than me would love to catch a break in the money department. But I also have to recognise that the girls do a difficult job and deserve to be fully compensated for it. If I am to receive a break it will be because I am a pleasant punter and a solid repeat customer. Not because the girl is having a difficult night.

i also am not adverse to ensuring that i am receiving value for money, a different transaction sometimes than the lowest price for the same. while dim yann presents some valid arguments there are in life certainly in the service provider lives other undercurrents in place that can overrule simple economics that say among other things that lower prices can lead to more business and overall more income for a seller.

if i may list a few culled from observation in a number of sp environments, not just dl fkk`s.

- we are dealing with human beings in the sp world and human beings make decisions not only based upon economics short term and long term, but also pride,"face", and in interaction with other human beings, buyers and sellers.

- sp`s have made a decision to embark on this type of employement for a number of reasons. we are not always able to put ourselves fully into their thinking fully as we have differnt backgrounds and are not personally involved in tbeir reasons and decision making. for some of us, we do get for various reasons a much closer look at the pysche of the motivations and angst of some girls. there is interplay and levels of trust that occur between some pairings of cusotmer and girls often based upoon personalities and empathy as well as the financial aspect.

- girls will make decision based upon finance primarily, it is their job after all, but also on other factors as above. who they go with, how long is in the end decided mutually by the girl and the customer, even if the calculations are unspoken they are there.

- the jungle telegraph at a club works near the speed of light. good customers (who pay, are clean, and in some cases fuck well from a girl`s perspective) are clearly noted and the info passes around the club as quickly as the customers not meeting these criteria or a trouble makers. who does anyone wish to work with a pleasant person or a miserable nut case ? the girls see the broad spectrum at an fkk:

- believe it or not, most girls capaciity for earnings per day are somewhat limited. in economic terms, it can be better for a girl to turn down approaches for less money and concentrate on fewer at full tariff. a "fu*ed out" pussy can mean less earning the next day or so as it becomes very painful and therefore again, less economic income over a several day period for an uhmmm, excessive pay day on one night.

and finally, a comment on the wilds of club / fkk life and pricing. there is a great deal of competition both economic, personal and reputation between these working girls. add in the tribal nature of nationality groups, cliques of friends and other alliances, to say nothing of say 50 women in relatively close quaters for extended periods, you have the receipe for chaos and disaster lurking in an environment such as say, artemis.

the standard fee system is simply one to protect most customers and indeed the girls from chaos and economic pricing coompetition. generally it works. you know what you should expect to get, the girls ditto. always room for cheerful upselling and to decline the same as in any area of commerce. if it becomes annoying or the basic announced services are short changed or cut then this is very unacceptable.

along the same lines, many regulars in various clubs are very much against "tipping" in cash. it follows that this tends to upset the standard charge system and lead to expectations by the providers that they should receive extra cash for every session. human nature again.

rewarding meritorious service levels and sessions in the form of either extended time or another session later in the evening at standard pricing is actually the best approach froma customer`s point of view and economically for the girl. instead of € 10 or € 20 "tip", they get a good customer rapport building and a full session fee. in economic terms, it maximises long run returns to do so on both sides.

even in a pretty well club such as artemis the undercurrents for chaos are there ready to break out if customers and management are not wary all the time. personally, i have a very limited experience in visting artemis and enjoyed the environment very much when i did. enjoyed for the most part, the girls too.

as but one example, of the above. one of the known girls, a blond who commutes on a regular schedule from a large nrw city to work at artemis, is totally fluent in english and german, was discussing a number of aspects of club life at artemis with excess who is he believes a sympathetic customer, is clean, and (modestly) a good f*k. she is popular with customers and she commented that she is asked and talked about by some other girls along the lines of " how does she (l) get customers "so easily" sometimes as talking to them for only a couple of minutes and they go off to the zimmer"? she must be charging lower prices, going bare back etc.". i hasten to add that she did neither with excess or was asked to do so. in turn she has some contempt for girls who spend their time playing the machines, chatting amongst themselves incessantly and then complain that business is bad, custoemrs aren`t interested in sex, just chatting themselves, sleeping under the stairs, enjoying the pool and sauna area etc.

bottom line, dim yann, is they are women who are living in an unreal world. they make decisions according to themselves and the level of estrogen coursing through their veins at the moment. you can`t expect them to make an economic decision as rationally as you or me or for the same reasons.

posted pricing does have economic value. reduces chaos and woe betide girls who go against the "union" or management consistently. they won`t last and after all we might visit for one or two days every so often, they have to "live there" with the other girls, up to 12 hours or more a day nearly every day of the month.

If there's a problem with getting business, I think it's up to the performers to figure out how to deal with it. I'm not suggesting like others that they drop their rates, but there is room to up their game, collectively speaking.

If I were in their position I would imagine consistency of quality is the key to repeat business. If customers have, say. 10 or 20% bad experiences, then even the best girls are going to lose 50% of their business based on numbers of people returning to the club. (To use my favourite restaurant analogy, imagine there were usually sumptuous servings but maggots in the soup for 10% of visits. It would affect business and people would talk about spoiled potential.) It's up to Artemis to consider the math and how to deal with it.

By the way I remember on days when there was a high guy to girl ratio, I might say to a girl,"Hey let's sit and chat for a bit," and she would say,"No, I'm only interested in sex." Now on a day when there is a high girl to guy ratio, I am not going to weep for the girls. I think it might make them relax a bit more and take more effort (enough to be civil) with the customers.

About the system of fixed prices, I agree that's a good one. Haggling would really be a vulgar experience for all participants. (At the same time people are entitled to get what they pay for.)

Due to financial and other commitments August is the only time I could make this trip. I would like to know from someone if I would be at a major disadvantage visiting in August.

I think it depends what you want.

I was there a couple of times last Summer, June and August. The number of girls is down but so are the number of men. The pace is a little slower. This is OK for me since I am in no rush and like the Wellness side of things. Most of my favorite girls were there.

I would be more inclined to go in the Summer if the outdoor pool is finished.

Berlin itself in the Summer is a little humid but has much to offer.

This year, schools open 15 Aug, and a fair bit of families will be back the week before. You can imagine the stored up male libidos, having been with family on holidays for weeks and weeks, even with somewhat depleted budgets. The A Team holidays are whenever they want and some girls will knock off much of August. However, other new girls will drift in to check out the scene so it's a bit of a wash. I know for a fact that it is unlikely the new construction wing will be ready before Aug. From mid-Aug forward, things should be pretty much back to normal. August has been my favorite time of the year to visit. The crowds are way down for one. While it is true that a number of girls take vacation I have never found the line up to be lacking in any serious way. The girls that are there have are much more relaxed and willing to sit and chat & tease a bit before heading to the room. I will. In a nutshell, I like reading, writing, and living interesting stories and The Limey's report certainly qualifies. If you are more interested in seeing a checklist of what a girl will/won't do, they I'd suggest some of the local German/French/Dutch forums where reports in this format are more common.
