Am I right in thinking Haven is the nicest hotel in Medellin?

Am I right in thinking Haven is the nicest hotel in Medellin?I wouldn't say it's the nicest in all of MDE. BUT, it's my go-to every time I'm there and I'd recommend it. Only time I’ve stayed anywhere else was Airbnb in Laureles and I don’t do that shit solo - scop. Was just there and will be there again in April. Unless you're banging multiples every day, you won't run into the guest fee. And ymmv with the front desk in that regard. Be nice. You wont have any issue. I love the balance of security, rooftop, pretty decent breakfast and nice food/drinks, nicer digs, and proximity that it has. But I usually find 1 or 2 chicas I like and rotate, or call my regulars.

I scroll through the reviews and when I find one like this, I know I'm looking at the right building. LOL.

I believe this is the Wake building btw. In case anyone has more up to date info on Wake, please share as Im looking at it for a group of 4.

Are there any safe clean love hotels near lleras I can bring girls to? Would rather not bring them back to my airbnb if possible.

And if you leave the park on the main street there are several more. Ibiza Motel is a great option too if you want the girl (s) for several hours. You will need a taxi ride for Ibiza, but the rooms have hot tubs, stripper poles, drinks, and everything that you may need.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? And what is the guest policy? I've been considering to pick this hotel as it is conveniently located at El tesoro Centro comercial And they have rooftop pool.I stayed here for a few days and I had one guest with me and they were fine. I saw several gentlemen bringing in guests as well, but sorry I don't remember the cost or limitations per guest.

This is highly unlikely to be Wake. Wake has strict no visitor policy. No exceptions made. Speaking from experience.

You said you almost always stay at Haven. Their PH suites and Presidential suites I believe are 4 bedrooms each. I know for sure that they have two and three bedroom suites. All with Jacuzzis.

Hi,

Where did you end up stayed? Any recommendations?

We are going in October.

Hi all. I stayed at Haven during my last visit. Nice boutique hotel. Extremely girl friendly, secure and nice rooms. Although the rooms are on smaller side. I took the 2 bedroom with 2 jacuzzis for some more space, but still felt it was a small rooms. Haha.

I am going back to medellin next week. Any other hotels / boutique apartments etc. That you will recommend? Budget is NOT an issue I. E. I am not looking to solve for less amount. I am looking for safe, high end hotels. Marquee continues to say No to bringing in girls.

And it's from 10 am to 10 pm.I have a problem finding apartments that meet what I want. I want to stay in Laureles, 2 bedrooms, two baths, $1,000 (USD) or less for a month. There's one agency that meets all of those, but their guest policy is asinine. Every guest must be registered at check-in. I've also found others that have various limitations, from no sex tourism to no guests at all. Because of the hassle of finding an apartment, I would like to find an unfurnished apartment to rent for a year, and buy my own furnishings. I figure after a year or so, I would be ahead because I usually spent five months a year there. So far, I haven't found one I like.

Laureles One does not have security, I've never seen a place that doesn't say no "Sex Tourism. " They have to say that for appearances sake. The last place I stayed that said that I was scared until I arrived and the front desk guy was smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I put some money in his pocket and took care of business.

Are you talking about One Apartments in Laureles? If so, do they have the same noise issues as San Peter?

Check off the feature for "self check-in" and you will find all the apartments that don't have some security checking IDs or limiting your entry.

I stayed in one of these last year but I did not repeat. I'm in Medellin again now and staying in a place with a classic doorman. No chance to smuggle a chica in but there are always short-time motels.

Instead of AirBnb, use booking.com. They are headquartered in The Netherlands and seldom have the same anti-prostitution bullshit as the Yew Ess headquartered Airbnb. Plus you get to rate the property and they don't get to rate you. A lot less BS.

Anyone have any experience with the Somos brand, notably the Somos. Poblado?

Seems cheap and very modern, almost TGTBT.

I've been reading back through the chat and there is a bit of a recuring theme, "no guests". What exactly does that mean? I just rented a AirBnB in the San Francisco apartment building (Manila) and had to check the Prostitution warning box. Wasn't worried about that, I don't have company over every night. But I do have company. Is "no guest" really a thing? How do they enforce it? What if you live there full time, and / or how would they keep track of residents vs renters in a giant building like that? Thanks for any feedback. I have a month to cancel my reservation if I need to, but do like the building and the location.

When someone makes a point of saying this they are usually in a residential building with families and with a door man. The enforcement is through the registration of passport / cedula. They only allow host approved registered guests. Easy to enforce. Door men don't risk loosing their steady income jobs for a few pesos of tipping.

Self check-in Airbnbs exist but most are crappy cardboard boxes with a squeaky bed, poor ventilation and a drippy shower. I tried them all but these days I stick to hotels. Safer too.

I've been reading back through the chat and there is a bit of a recuring theme, "no guests". What exactly does that mean?I think some hosts define guests as those staying in the apartments, as opposed to visitors. Prior to renting an Airbnb, I always ask if visitors are allowed. I explain that visitors will not be spending the night, and there will only be one or two visitors at any time. There are a few listings that say no visitors allowed. I skip over those. I don't want to deal with those kind of people even if they made an exception for me. In a building with many apartments and long term renters, there will almost always be some busy body who will not like a foreigner with a much younger lady in the building. Many hosts have already had encounters with those people and will ignore them if their renter is not creating a problem.

Fuck AirBnB. Use booking.com. I have used them in around 20 countries and there has never been any bullshit about guests or prostitution.I checked Booking.com for two-bedroom apartments in Laureles. Almost all of them have prices equal to an upscale hotel, like $3,000 a month. That is out of my league. Maybe you get better rates since you are a frequent renter. I would like another venue other than Airbnb because their stated policies are getting out of line. VRBO prices are ridiculous, and very few listings.

Yes, I do get preferential "Genius" (booking's term and certainly not mine) BUT not on all properties and I can see when I do or do not get those discounts. I just did a search and indeed 2 BRs are about 3 x the price of 1 BRs.

Housing prices are up in many parts of the world and in Medellin the situation is also affected by the gringo invasion post c19.That doesn't explain why Booking.com prices are almost three times the prices on Airbnb for the same type of apartment in the same part of a city.

That doesn't explain why Booking.com prices are almost three times the prices on Airbnb for the same type of apartment in the same part of a city.My independent research is just not finding that to be the case. Do you speak Spanish and do you do your searches with your language set to Spanish? Setting the language to the country being searched affects the price quoted.

Com gives prices for the entire stay and Airbnb lists prices per day on the front page and gives you final price with taxes before you book the room. It is impossible that it would be three times. If any. Booking and Expedia offer discounts to their frequent guests. Of course the best price, most of the time is on hotel websites with direct booking.

Of course the best price, most of the time is on hotel websites with direct booking.Yes, I get up to 20% off from booking, plus other perks at times, such as free breakfast, early check-in and late check-out. 4 days or fewer, I stay in hotels. 5 days or more, I book apartments. It doesn't require very many stays, I think three, to get to the first "genius" level. I am at the highest, "genius level" 3 "plus." There have been a few times the apartments have not been as advertised, but I have gotten better at ferreting that out. I have stayed in AirBnBs with other people who booked them, but I don't ever book through them. I have looked at longer term apartments on VRBO a couple of times, but nothing came to fruition.

If you search for 30 days or more on Airbnb, it will show the complete monthly (30 days) price. I can prove the impossible is possible.
