I made by third trip to Bangkok last month. Reached there by early morning flight on a Saturday and had an early check-in in Dream Bangkok Hotel.
After trying to sleep for a few hours, I started my mission.
A) Started with Addict Massage at about 1:30 PM. Lots of lovely ladies there. Selected Minmy. Gave a decent service.

Also factor in that hotels in Jakarta are cheaper for the same level of service than hotels in Bangkok. And airfares (at least from the west coast of America) are cheaper to Jakarta than any other SE destination. Finally, Indonesia is starving for foreign capital. The Indonesian Dollar has been getting destroyed over the past few years.

No its not a premium price. That is rock bottom for all night booking. Not many will go LT for 2500. The best girls won't go for that price. My favourite at Suzie Wong makes a lot more money than that per day, so she takes ST only, unless the offer is really good or its a good regular customer worth maintaining. She has mostly regular customers and doesn't even need to risk new customers that often. She works hard, arriving early and taking relatively few days off, unlike most girls. Early in the bar is the best chance to sight her, as is mostly booked. She is just far ahead of the rest of the girls in the bar for looks and popularity. Most girls are struggling.
Not all bars have really bad lighting, but to be sure the lighting is often low because they don't want you to see properly. I go to bars where I can see properly including fully naked girls, e. G. And airfares (at least from the west coast of America) are cheaper to Jakarta than any other SE destination. Finally, Indonesia is starving for foreign capital. Tip was 200. But that may not be what you meant. 200 was what I gave in excess of the agreed-upon "for the girl" number. Excess tip was appreciation from me for her endurance and quality, and certainly was not expected or required in any way, shape or form. I could have gotten away with zero instead and there would have been no frown.
What I pre-committed upfront to give to the girl after satisfactory discharge of her duties was 2500. This looks pretty standard for the place: they even have a little plastified card for it! Unusual for go-go bars, but I like it because it reduces the amount of scamming the girls can think they can get away with.

Other than the entrance / bar / lobby I have no idea what other rooms in the facilities look like. The VIP rooms are huge, the size of large bedrooms and furnished as such. The rooms and especially the beds are very comfortable. A few others, Syzygies comes to mind, have said the same thing about the VIP rooms.
I also wrote I've only selected girls from photos on the website. Naturally I selected girls I found to be reasonably attractive. The ladies I booked closely resembled the photos. The first girl I booked, I no longer remember her letter, was a very young lady at the BJ Salon. Her photo is no longer on the website. I expected the flawless skin in the photos was produced by Photoshop. I was surprised to discover in the flesh her complexion really was that flawless. Another lady, #50 whose photos are still on the nuru venue's website, was much thinner in person, but allowing for the weight lose looked like her photos. I posted reports some time ago about these sessions. Both sessions were at about 5 pm. I only saw a half dozen or so other ladies at the venues when I visited. I write about my experiences and express my opinions. I wouldn't expect my experiences to necessarily carry over to others. As for my opinions, they are always right. Just joking. Of course opinions are highly subjective. There may be consensus that some ladies are extremely attractive or unattractive; or that some provide very good or very poor service. In between these extremes it is harder to find agreement. We may agree that a particular lady is average looking, but one of us may find her kind of sexy while the other does not.
Having said all of that, there is something else I want to say. While I believe the vast majority of reports on ISG are forthright, for some time I have been suspicious of disingenuous reports. I am not speaking of the reports written by someone we have never heard of with 1 prior post lavishing praise on a venue or a particular girl. These are obviously not credible. I am refer to a few reports that I believe pan a venue or a particular lady for personal reasons. In some cases I suspect the author of the post is writing on behalf of a friend who owns a competing MP. Or the author may have a personal beef with the owner, or a beef with a particular lady that has nothing to do with the general quality of service she provides. In fact the beef may be that she has been providing too much good service to too many other guys. I also think some guys write less than glowing reports about ladies they know provide very good service. The intention is to discourage other guys from booking them. I've booked ladies with whom I've had very good sessions. Then I'll read a poor review of the lady; but other ladies I know at the venue will tell me that the lady in question is extremely popular and is difficult to book.
As for Dr. BJ's shops, frankly, based on the website photos and the appearances of the ladies I saw at the shops, I'm not attracted to most of the ladies; however my personal experiences with the ladies I booked were good and I like the VIP rooms.
My other point is be careful about drawing conclusions from the appearance of ladies you see waiting for customers. There is a reason they are sitting around idle. There may be an attractive lady or two inside the shop banging away. I've had good experiences at every shop I've frequented. I book ladies in advance. I do my reconnaissance. One thing however you should know is that Thailand -and Bangkok in particular- has the habit of not cooperating with your best thought out plans. Be it inevitable delays in crossing town, unexpected closures of the establishment you wanted to visit or unexplainable absences of service providers, any plan you make should be flexible and allow you to "go with the flow".
Thailand is a Buddhist country and detachment of all things material or spiritual is a way of life. Just say "mai pen rai" and carry on with a smile. Your favorite massage lady did not show up at the appointment? Just go elsewhere: plenty much more fish in that barrel. Your bargirl all of a sudden forgot she promised to DFK you? I'm sure you can invent on the spot some other fun games.

Taxis drivers wants fixed price. My experience is that if you just politely tell the driver where you want to go (without asking about the meter), he will start driving. If he doesn't turn on the meter, I ask him why the meter not is on. Don't get into an argument about it. Just kindly say that you want to stop.
Going to the airport might be hard without fixed price (usual around 500 be from the Sukh. Area).
Tip a little. To much tip is to make a fool out of yourself. Too little is making a fool out of the other person.

In fact, I hardly noticed any jet lag at all, which was surprising. By using cash, I avoided ATM fees by withdrawing cash. By getting fresh, crisp $100 bills in the US, the exchange went easy. Speaking of money, only a few places in Thailand seem to accept credit cards, and many of those that do will add an extra 3 to 5 percent to cover their fees. Also, if you use Capital One credit cards, they do not charge an added fee for use. Had I used my Chase credit card, they would have added a 3% fee on all foreign transactions. Not cool.
Getting wifi at the airport was a bit of a pain as you have to sign in and register, but I got it all working. My GF had just flown in from up north to meet me, so after some difficulties, we met up. It was nice to have her for my first visit to Thailand, as she ensured that getting around the city was easy and I didn't have to worry about getting ripped off or, worse, lost in this huge, congested city. Without her, I would have been hesitant about getting out and about, but with her, I visited the Palace, several what is and water markets, etc. She really made the visit enjoyable.
She helped me to learn how to (sort of) navigate the MTS sky train, and using tuk tuks, motor bikes and the bus. Still confusing, but it left me better prepared to be on my on.

After reading good things about Crazy House in Soi Cowboy on this thread, I went there on a Friday with a friend on my last visit to Bangkok. Since I didn't know the place, it took a little while to figure out that its around the corner to the right on Soi 23 (outside Cowboy).

I don't know all the bars but ones that overcharge are the rare exception, definitely not the norm. Don't let it sway you from visiting random bars you think look interesting. They normally go to ST hotels around Soi Ngam Duphli, but you can make other arrangements. Last year I had one for 1200 baht for a 2-shot ST session. She was not great (smelling bad, starfish), but OK. Had offers as low as 600 (probably a drug user), but didn't partake.
If you look carefully, you'll probably see a pimp around (usually sitting on a motorbike across the street), but they're discreet and don't bother customers.
