Per Allover's directions, I recommend the MRT. When you take exit #3, just keep walking straight ahead (south), cross a small river, and Lord is at the far end of the first building on the right.
When you return, Soi Cowboy is right where the MRT transfers to BTS. Enjoy your time in Bangkok.

In that case, I would recommend the MRT option.

Thanks a ton for this post. This is truly a post of distinction. When I first went to thermae the culture of the place seemed to be an oddity. Everywhere else girls were grabbing you from streets, here they seemed to be very passive. Usual punters blamed on girls being cold / lazy. If noon or 2 pm Is all the hotel can / will give you, just leave your bag and come back to get it, after you've visited whatever oilie or soapie you have in mind.
Early check in is much tougher. In fact, over the course of the last fifteen years the price in Thai baht for a PSE oil massage has remained constant other than the fact a few, not the majority, of venues now charge a bit extra for A+, as it is known. But service is not what it used to be, and there are a lot more overweight girls with significant baby damage working in those places than before.
The prices have gone up at go-gos but probably not by more than normal inflation except for long-time (overnight) sessions, which seem to be out of favor whereas were easy to get some years ago. Then, after adjusting expectations and accepting the scene changed, maybe some of us will still be able have a few last gasps of fun. If any of us old timers goes in expecting to find the scene as it used to be (there are optimists among us), they're in for a very bad time.
So, there's a purpose to negative comments, and a more important one than describing one more venue or girl for the 1000th time. And virtually ALL Thailand venues have been discussed to death here. Frankly, I haven't discovered a new amazing venue worth visiting from field reports here in a long time.

Had to do a trip into Bangkok to the USA Embassy today the 5th, since the appointment was really early in the morning make plans to stay overnight. Jesse James clearly visited the Grace more often and I went there sometimes.
My experienced Farang buddy showed me the Grace Coffee shop, and I did not get the "Middle Eastern" thing at all.
JJ is partly right. I would not dare say "not ME at all" however to say "almost exclusively Middle Eastern" is well wide of the mark even up to 1991 (27 years ago). It may well be that the Grace became more Middle Eastern dominated in later years.
What I would say, was the Grace girls tended to be a bit older and plumper than at the Thermae, but still having variety. My Farang buddy liked Grace Coffee shop girls (plump ones) more than I did. Thanks.What the others say about Wechat is correct. It is a free downloadable app for your iOS or Android device. It uses cellular data or WiFi to communicate.
I've used it two different ways. First, when I meet someone they will give me their Wechat ID and then we can communicate worldwide (text, voice messages, video chat). Second, using the "Discover-People Nearby" option, you can find girls who are within about 20 km of you. I don't understand how, but, I have found girls in China through people nearby while I was in USA; apparently there is a way to set your location to something other than your actual location.
Wechat is very popular in many parts of Asia, especially China. Very little use in USA.
In densely populated parts of Asia, people nearby will find too many girls to consider, often they are professionals (e.g., Sukhumvit Soi 11). I don't think it goes as far as 20 km in those situations. In less densely populated portions of USA, you will find zero girls within the 20 km range.
I've twice had success finding non-P4P girls in both USA and Thailand. While in Sukhumvit area, many P4P girls have messaged me through people nearby (keep your people nearby active, if you want this).

Booked a taxi through Nam's Taxi for Pattaya to BKK, what a great service! The last time I booked one last minute with Rose Taxi and the driver was an absolute lunatic. Following a 3 night stay in Pattaya, we will be in Bangkok for 2 nights before moving onto Vietnam! Anyway, got to Smart Suites hotel around 3 and got some food at the Terminal 21 food court. As I did not get much sleep the night before, my buddy made the comment that I was a walking zombie and recommended a nap. Great call!

They have said that in early 2017 all the late night street bars and food stalls have been closed down? But on Soi 4 itself, there are late night options for food and drink. There are two carts selling noodle soup, one on the east side of Soi 4, very close to the intersection with Sukhumvit, and the other right at the entrance to Nana Plaza. Both are open after the bars close and both have small seating areas on the sidewalk. There are also several food carts on the west side of Soi 4, between the entrance to Nana Plaza and Sukhumvit, selling all the usual street food. Finally, there may be one or two food carts farther south on Soi 4. But they are hit and miss.
As for after hours drinking, that's more difficult. But it's possible. Usually there is a guy with a cooler of beer among the food carts on the west side of Soi 4. The Hillary 4 bar officially closes at 2:00 am But recently they have allowed patrons to sit at the seats overlooking the street after that. Some nights a second guy with a cooler of beer arrives about 2:30 and sells to the folks sitting in front of the bar. In fact, the bar quite helpfully allowed people to come inside and use the toilet.

Went to insanity on Friday and Saturday night on first week of January, picked up girl who is born and brought up in Bangkok. Last night close to 1 am the Soi 23 cart bar was in full operation. However its Neon lights were switched off.
