After trying a few, I am not sure it's worth it if you're just here on a short trip. If I lived in Bangkok however I'd be going through these at a good pace, as I'm convinced there'll be some diamonds in the rough! I would also invest in some serious photography gear; these ladies are crying out for some professional photos.

Pros:

- On the cheaper end for the service you get - 1 k to 2 k is usually the max, for 90 minutes / 2 pops.

- Gives you a good excuse to explore the suburbs of Bangkok.

Cons:

I paid $25 to AXA Insurance Thailand for a suitable policy. In addition to the standard policy document, they sent a letter specifically stating that it would cover the required amount in the event of covid-related hospitalization, etc.

Would Thai bureaucracy have accepted my standard insurance cover? I felt it was a good $25 spent to not take that chance!

You are drinking in a semi legal bar area, an area that very much works with the local police in order to operate smoothly.

There is not really a just legal system in Thailand, a foreigner will almost always be put in a bad situation when there is any altercation with a local Thai person. Particulary of that person is well connected with the local police, as are all of those bars.

Just go into any non brand, little indepent Pharmacy around the lower sukhumwit area or in fact any area that there are some adult clubs. I personally use the tiny almost hidden away Pharmacy almost on the corner of soi 4, that is you get off Nana Bts walk down the even soi side of Sukhumwit and it is about 20 meters before you get to soi 4. Don't be afraid to ask for it by name, they are not shy and are very eager to sell you as much as you can carry away. I have never heard of any Pharmacy asking for a prescription for dick pills. Avoid Boots, Watsons etc. The big chain pharmacy's as every time I have asked about dick pills in these places you tend to get a blank stare.

I always buy the generic brand as genuine Viagra would be very expensive, most imported western items are much more expensive in Thailand than you would by in your home country.

Thermae always had coffee, food, and drinks. They have seating for eating. I think the reason they not open has to do more with their main clientele was Asians. Because Biergarten is open but very dismal. So until Asians fully arrive back, Thermae will still be closed. Thermae not really helpful for me because I am South Asian. Very few girls look my way. But I don't believe a P4P experience between me and any 2 girls in the same bar is exactly the same except price, much less between me and girls in different venues and working in different P4P options.

Day 1, returned from Pattaya, checked into the Hilton Sukhumvit. Not a great hotel imo, a bit out of the way compared to some of the other 5 stars on Sukhumvit, old rooms and facilities, and they also seem to be doing some sort of renovation which is noisy as hell. I was also able to more or less figure out Sidelines, it's definitely not as great for vetting the girl before hand, but I have not been burned yet, and have even made some new contacts I plan on maintaining for future trips. On the PG side of things, Thailand is actually quite nice without the massive Chinese tour groups, and many of the usually packed attractions are very enjoyable right now. Depending how Omicron goes, and how Brazil is, I may plan another trip for early summer 2022.

I have been there too and have to concur. Everyone who can travel should visit Siem Reap at least once to view this marvel (Angkor what) of the ancient world. The town itself is pleasant enough for a few days but I found the nightlife marginal and the mongering woeful.

Phnom Penh is a bit better but it's overall a sleazy and poor city, lots of petty crime, poor public transportation, and not a lot to do after a few days.

Don't worry about your Thai language skills. Very few tourists or even local ex pats speak the language well. English is the 'lengua Franca' there.

Go-go bars are closed but Nana Plaza and now Soi Cowboy and even a few places on Patpong 1 and 2 are operating as outdoor beer bars. There are probably more beer bars open in the lower Sukhumvit area now than were open during pre-Covid times because several new beer bars opened since then on Soi 7, Soi 8 and Soi 11.

Most nights now the places are packed with customers, girls, live entertainment, it's party time.

Some nights the customers outnumber the girls. Some nights it's the other way around. Depending on your budget, there are many choices along Sukhumvit between Soi 4 and Soi Cowboy. More action is on the odd Soi side, but that shouldn't be your deciding factor. I find that Soi 11 is close enough to walk to everything between Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. Interesting places to eat. It's also right at a BTS station and close walk to an MRT station. For convenience, the hotels near Sukhumvit Road are better than those further down the sois. Personally, I stay at a Soi 11 hotel well away from Sukhumvit because I prefer those hotels.

They all backed off, men that is, girl behind me scream in for payment, me politely and calmly wording obscenities.

I left, sat in a restaurant and proceeded to catalog my losses.

I was lucky, I had all my real notes and many of their fake ones.

The restaurant staff were empathetic to my story, telling me a similar tale of fake money switched had occurred earlier that day to a customer in the hotel opposite.

He had been stung by the girl in his room, only finding the issue much much later in the day.

They even got the police who were still there to come and talk to me.

Very surprisingly they wanted me to take them to the shop, which I did.

Clearly the policeman was wanting them to return my money, telling me he would do so, and intimating for a cut of the recovery.

Eventually he believed them when they said they had given it all back, and asked me if that was correct.

Which of course I did, as I knew the game.

He was now going to shake them down for a share of their take from other customers they'd successfully robbed.

Cheers and happy celebrations.As of this writing, there is only a total of about 5 bars on Patpong 1 and 2 that are operating as outdoor beer bars with maybe 7-8 girls sitting mostly in the dark at each one. There are also a couple of go-gp bars that appear to be allowing customers to sit indoors but there are no girls in bikinis or dancers onstage, just servers and a few bargirls sitting inside.

By contrast, the lower Sukhumvit / Nana / Soi Cowboy area has dozens of open beer bars, half of the ground floor space inside Nana Plaza is operating as one big crowded beer bar and there are now hundreds of girls in, around and strolling between the bars on Soi 4, inside Nana Plaza, Soi 6, Soi 7, Soi 7/1, Soi 8, Soi 11 and all along Sukhumvit Road from Soi 4 and Soi 3 to Soi Cowboy.

I've never felt unsafe in PP. There are always people in the RLD no matter what time it is. Sure the walk through empty pitch black streets to Cyrcee may be a bit sketch but just take a motorbike for 1 USD instead. Which area(s) are not for the faint hearted? Maybe I haven't been there.

Won't argue about the police though. Get caught for speeding with a taxi driver who drives 140 kmh between Sihanoukville and PP? Pay them 10-20 USD and you're on your way.
