If you come here often enough then open a Thai bank account, even tourist can do so.
Then just use one of the transfer apps, I use WISE, and load up your Thai account, then withdraw at an ATM.

Other than a general positive or negative reply whenever I ask, "How's business?" I have never considered asking her about the details of her income and overhead.
But there are so many ways for the bars to "pay" a girl to show up with a nominal daily rate and LD commissions I know there are many girls who only hustle drinks, create a party atmosphere and rarely go with a customer during their regular shift hours. And the owners work it out so they make enough and more to keep their doors open and pay for their upscale condo living conditions.
And many, many of the girls throughout Nana Plaza, 1st tier, 2nd tier or 5th tier bars, are apparently making a comfortable enough living on the LDs and compliant customers to say No and mean it to having anything but covered virtually everything with me for the usual 3,000 baht ST quote. LOL. So there is that.

Some tips from my recent weekend trip to Bangkok:
- get a Thai Friendly membership (minimum is one-month) a week before you go and hit up all the women you want and book time with them.
- double book because some women will get cold feet and not come as planned or you might change plans based on when a hotter woman replies.
- I got 3 women, a uni student, a social media marketer, and a housemaid for an average of THB 2,500 with tips (about THB 200-300).
- benefit of this approach, you can negotiate what you want with the women directly and there are no middlemen, I got 2 shots for 2 hours.

Pattaya that time of night will be 1. 5 hours drive max but I still think you'll be pushing it by the time you get off the plane / meet and greet the VIP people, go through security / immigration / collect bags, get to your hotel in destination. My guess is that you'll be checking into your Pattaya hotel (maybe Hilton in middle of the strip for convenience) at around 12.30-12.45 if all goes smoothly. After quick freshen up you'll have an hour to go explore and score! Not much room there for any mishap. If I were you, I'd book Novotel in the airport (assuming you are not arriving into Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and not Don Mueang. You'll be in your room by 11.15, freshen and out in a cab into town much earlier than you'll see action in Pattaya. Then start your travels the next day. I recently asked a similar question about Pattaya and Hua Hin. The latter appears more picturesque. I'm not sure I fancy more than 3 days in Pattaya (been before) and I like the chilled out sound of HH. But I most certainly would not be doing HH when landing at 10.30 pm. You won't see any action at all until the next day / night.

Not sure what your budget is, but on the lower-end, there's a lot of fun to be had on Soi 24. I visited Cherry Massage and got FS, MSOG, DFK, DATY for 2,500 baht for the hour. Additionally, there are some good ads on Massage Republic. Some advertisers are incall, others are outcall only. If you do outcall, make sure your hotel is guest friendly. In terms of MPs, Phrom Phong is a good spot with lots of places within a few blocks. It's also next to a nice shopping mall (Emporium / Emquartier).
Most of the independents I visited were between Nana and Phrom Phong BTS stops. The BTS in that part of town is covered, so you won't get very wet riding the subway. You'll want to bring an umbrella if you're on the street. Pinay Cristina was fantastic. 4,000 baht for the hour, MSOG, speaks English very well and has amazing tits.
If you want to do touristy stuff, would hold off.

Yes, I have some advice: don't try it. You are a rookie and even highly seasoned punters get burned doing this.

Any hotel along the main drag of Sukhumvit will be noisy. Not so much from bars at Rumachit rather from the lawnmower engine tuk tuks. Note about shortcuts between Sukhumvit Soi 2 and Soi 4: I stayed in Soi 2 for the peace and quiet, but it is a long walk to the action without the shortcuts. Rajah Alley route is closed, but there is a shortcut a little further down past the Brainwake Cafe.
Note about nice running and walking route: At the very end of Sukhumvit Soi 4 is Benchakitti Park with great running paths and it is connected to Lumphini park by a walkway which gives about 8-10 km of off-street exercise route. Great to work up a sweat and mingle with Bangkok's fit folk in the evening without getting mangled in traffic.

Hope this is a one off and not a new thing at Thermae. Never had any girl request more than 2500ST in the past..I don't do LT but Thermae girls were quoting me B2500 for ST. On the plus side for me, I've noticed that accepting the girl's quoted rate without bargaining puts a bit of a spring in their step and more enthusiasm in the service. Plus they don't bug me for an extra tip after.
I do bargain sometimes, but didn't bother this time. I suspect there was space to negotiate down by a few hundred baht for the dedicated punter, as there were not a lot of customers.

I think it was an outlier. 2-2500ST was the general starting point and I think there was room for negotiation downwards. That girl was an 8 or 9, looked at the peak of her career and presumably gets customers at those rates. Several drunk Japanese gentlemen approached her but didn't take her, so I'm guessing she was firm on the rates or very picky.
I only saw 2 others in the same grade in Thermae in the week, but that is subjective of course.

So. There is no Super Rich Exchange at BKK airport as previously reported. Thanks for the exercise. And if there was, the rates would be very similar to the other exchanges. It's a monopoly there and the rates are shitty 34.35 to 1 USD. No 30,000 baht ATM machines either like Krungsi or TMB. It's Kasikorn or bust. Just swapped out enough to get me out of that horrible airport. The Tourist SIMs are expensive, so I waited until I arrived in Pattaya to get one from 7-11. They will not sell you the same SIMs that are much cheaper in plans at the airport, even though it's the same company. Data only unlimited at 20 MBps for 200 baht monthly at 7-11. I bought a virtual Thai number for 99 baht a year, so all I need is data. And by the way, I'm the type that shouldn't be traveling internationally (according to some) because I can't afford to pay 1200-1500 for a private taxi or car to take me to Pattaya. Instead I only paid 350 (2 checked in luggage and 2 carry on) for bus to door step service. You can tell by the pics that it is very low class bus and ghetto. About 25% full. Left at 5:07 pm and arrived at my hotel near WS at 7:10. Saved me 1000 baht by taking the bus for a TF girl instead last night.
BTW there is no more forms to fill out at airport and nobody asks about vaccination status or paperwork at BKK. I even asked the immigration officer if it was okay to do border runs after my tourist visa expires and with extensions. She said no problem. Total time at BKK from landing to luggage was 45 minutes on a weekday late afternoon. 1 down 299 to go.

I've been in Pattaya where there are hordes of them. They have this weird thing where they get rooms next to one another, leave the doors ajar and loudly keep going from one room to another, a lot of times wearing only towels. I arrived Bangkok last Friday night around 11 pm. I was out of the airport within 15 minutes of landing. I booked a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 which in my opinion is the best location to stay at if you want to be right in the middle of the action and be right between Nana Entertainment Plaza and Soi Cowboy and ease of access to the Nana BTS Station.
After jumping in a taxi from the airport I got to my hotel just around Midnight. I checked in my hotel and was out the door by 12:20 am. Taxi's are not easily accessible so I decided to rent a scooter during my 2 days there. If you walk outside of the hotel and immediately to your left near the massage shop you will see scooters for rent at 180 thb per day.

Excellent post. I have not been in Bangkok since the Covid winter of 2020 but hope to be there in Jan 2023. I have never been to Hua Hin and judging by your experience there, it's unlikely that I will be going this winter either. Quality, as you say, appears low, and it also seems quite boring.

I was in BKK for 12 days or so in total, top and tail of my visit this time.

Or any identifiers like time of your visit!I don't know the bar name but when you are leaving Wood Bar on Soi 7 it and heading towards Sukhumvit it is directly across on the opposite side. Excellent post. I have not been in Bangkok since the Covid winter of 2020 but hope to be there in Jan 2023. I have never been to Hua Hin and judging by your experience there, it's unlikely that I will be going this winter either. Quality, as you say, appears low, and it also seems quite boring.
For me, paying that amount out of NEP appears quite high. But the mamasan senses desperation and charged you a lot more than I would ever pay. I would go to Hilary2 and take my chances with a free lancer. Most of the upper echelon hotels will not allow you to bring a guest to breakfast or the club lounge (if included in your booking) unless they are registered with the hotel. When they ask for your room number, if there isn't anyone else registered other than you they will turn them away.

I have stayed there many times and never booked for two people.
It has never been a problem either.
It is a very good, and totally girl friendly hotel.
As to security for you about the girl, it is a your choice scenario.
Most times there has never been anyone at reception to take her ID card, so I have walked straight to the lifts and the room.
If you want it taken, there is always someone in the back office behind reception who can come out and do so.

Many bars are open on Soi Cowboy now, from one end of the soi to the other, gogo bars and beer bars. Most nights, Thursday through Saturday especially, it is no different in terms of numbers of girls and customers than a typical low season experience during normal times, although perhaps not yet there in terms of a higher percentage of relative lookers. Tilac is open and has many girls inside. Baccara, Suzy Wong, Long Gun, Doll House, Cowboy 2, Crazy House, Kazy Kozy, all open and others.

Took a trip to the famous Poseidon. Great for a spin, the staff have all worked there for years and are super friendly and helpful. It's good solid 7 out of 10 . You get the full bath experience and girls are happy and accommodating. I wouldn't go for the high end batch as couldn't really see the point. Pattaya is very easy to navigate with B10 baht busses covering the area you would spend most of your time in. For a first trip I would spend the first 3-4 nights in Bangkok and the next 4 in Pattaya. If you fall in love with Pattaya, spend a few more days there. I would then fly from you-Tapao Airport (45 minutes from Pattaya) non-stop to Phuket. Auto correct prevents me from properly spelling the Pattaya airport name. After a few days in Phuket you can decide if you want to stay in Phuket longer or return to BKK quicker. Just my. 02.

My last two trips have been half Bangkok and half Pattaya and I was not satisfied with the experience leaving both places feeling half done each trip so next I am spending all my time in Pattaya at the end of the year.

Ok, fellas. This is going to be long one, a very long series of reports because I need to do this trip justice. The whole point of the trip was to compensate for the last few years of not having hobbied*much since I was stuck in the sexual wasteland that's the US. It appears this is your first trip to Thailand. If so I think Pattaya should be included. Pattaya is very easy to navigate with B10 baht busses covering the area you would spend most of your time in. For a first trip I would spend the first 3-4 nights in Bangkok and the next 4 in Pattaya. If you fall in love with Pattaya, spend a few more days there. I would then fly from you-Tapao Airport (45 minutes from Pattaya) non-stop to Phuket. Auto correct prevents me from properly spelling the Pattaya airport name. After a few days in Phuket you can decide if you want to stay in Phuket longer or return to BKK quicker. Just my. 02.
This may not be a good idea, there is so much you can do in a fortnight in Bangkok that you will regret splitting your time, the same would probably be true if you go to Phuket or Chiang Mai. Arrived from Pattaya Friday night. Was suppose to stay at at the Novotel Suk 4 but with breakfast was 2,800 baht a night which seemed excessive. IBIS styles is right next door, clean, quiet and breakfast is decent for 1,900 Baht.

Theres atleast a dozen African FL's all differnt shapes, sizes and ages on Suk 4 a few Indian others as well. Between Nana Plaza and Novotoel hotel. They walk up and down.Thanks for the idea brother. I would certainly be exploring Suk 4.
Any idea on how the scene is in the clubs in BKK? I actually don't mind spending a little extra as well.
