ok so the sports bar is useful for people who don't want to venture out, though why someone would want to travel all the way to bangkok only to stay inside the grounds of their hotel strikes me as pretty odd.

can you give an example of the specific kind of info given out at ll that would save you wasted time and money?

i often see this kind of comment about this place, always in these kinds of general/vague terms, but just wonder what they could be advising that might be considered valuable. it's a bit like advising people how they can best enjoy a rollercoaster.

to me, it seems like if you take a quick stroll in any direction in the sukhumvit area, you're gonna have a hard time avoiding places where action is. and it's not like there's places rep001tered around that are going to prey on newcomers, more like the opposite. i mean, ok, avoid the taxi touts tryign to usher you to massage places... but is that piece of pretty obvious info worth staying a bit far from the action for?easy one to answer

i spent some time with the manager and he told me how to get around. he told me how to get to places such as tulip and other palaces of pleasure. he also told me what bars i should try and the ones to avoid. he also pointed out that i should not spend all my evenings in the sports bar, but should get out and about. i managed to have a very full week taht was fun from beginning to end. never had to waste time or money on "dud" places.

it was my first time and i have seen similar comments from other first timers. i really do not see why some of you are so argumentative. i consider the place offers good service and a nice clean room for, what i think is, a reasonable price.

if you cannot see the benefits of the lodge and the reason why they get so much repeat business then that is your problem. no one elses!

Third trip to BBK, and not too much has changed in 4 years!

After taking limo from Airport (BMW 7-Series for 2, 200Bht), settled in a the Grand Sukhumvit on Soi 6, but it really might as well be on Soi 4 as it is SO close to the NEP on 4. Unfortunately they did insist on charging me for a full extra night even though my arrival was at 5am. Was hoping for more of a break. 500Bht for Internet seems excesive and I will probably try somewhere else next time, but a nice hotel none the less. Used theor web site to book so I could upgrade the room. Problem with wholesalers is that you always get the smallest room, and not necessarily for ay less than booking direct.

Culd not help my self and headed right ot to start the fun. Fund a very beautiful girl, and got half way back to the hotel before realizing was a LB. Why do they often look the best! So. Had to chase that one away.

Next day headed to Teen Massage on Soi 24/1 about 1pm, had an OK time, but I think I would have rather tried one of the oter ones. Rooms very ugly and not all that clean.

By 7pm not sure I was ready to go again but was near Soi Cowboy so decided to stop in at Bacaraca. What luck! Almost immediately spotted two beautiful young ones just size (short, small breasts and very thin). I picked them out in part because they were having fun with each other, and seemed to have the most energy on the upstairs dance floor in spite of a small crowd. This has always been a good approach for me, to look for those that seem to have the most interest and enthusasism. Some of them are SO not into what they are doing. Not that I can blame them, must be tough to keep up energy level hour after hour. Anyway, invited them for a drink and they almost immediately proposed. And off to my hotel room we were! Fa and Be were their names. Love those school girl outfits. BF 600Bht and 1, 500Bht for ST each. Very fun and willing, and although probably not exactly bi-sexual, they made the moves necessary to make it a very enjoyable few hours.

I gave Fa my card on the way out, and told her I wanted her to call me the next day and cme spend the night with me. Did it on the side so as to not offend the second girl. Fa was just a bit more pretty and loved her work.

Next day I had arranged with www.escortgirlsbangkok.com to have Hana come to my room at 9am.

This girl was probably the gem of my trip. Personality, language, beauty. She had it all. She was from Chang Mai and unfortunately was going out of town the next day otherwise I would probably have had her return. Many times.

Later in the day tried Annies for a soappy massage. Never did a soapy on my first two trips. Sad to say, was abit of a dissapointment. Place was just not all that much of a turn on. Again, kind of dirty and very plain. I think I shoudl have gone to the effort to go to Emmanuels or Posidion. Not that I have been to these, but my research seemed to indicate that these had a better quality of service and a little better facilities.

That night, as I said Fa for the night.

Needing a day off, I headed to Siam Paragon for a little shopping, and a movie in one of those great 600bht movie seats. Love them! Also visited my favorite market Pak Khlong Market. Look it up in any guide book. If you like to cook, you will e facinated by being able to walk through the stalls of families processing frest fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Also on one of these earlier days I made a visit to the weekend market to buy silks (they pack so well) for gifts for those at home. I recommend this as a great day out if you are around on a weekend.

For my last night I ordered a duo of Nok and June from www.Bangkokgoldescorts.com

Wile expensive, I wanted a no hassle experience. Nice Lingeire and toys. A bit mechanical, but a part of that was my fault. Wile I loved the A-level from Nok, June was the beauty of the two. Would absolutely see June again.

And here I sit, working out a girl from one of the services for tmorrow morning 8am just before my flights back!

Over all I was dissapointed in one of my wanders through NEP. Seemed dirtyier and seedier than last time, and far to many Lady Boys. I think I am more of a Soi Cowboy fan. But the debate will always rage back and forth on this form of NEP versus Cowboy. Try them both see what you like! NEP strikes me more of a place to do a lot of drinking, which I do not do.

I like the escort services and had good luck, but to each their own!

Though I'll have a meeting myself with Nok and Or in about 2 weeks from now, could you please tell me what the "problem" was there and why you thought it was "a bit mechanical"?

Maybe you experience can help me out for my own meeting

Has anyone visited Soi 22 lately? It use to be my favorite downtown monger station. Tina's Place was always good for a back/foot massage from four of the girls before you got serious on one. Best one in there use to be Lai, from Monkey province. She was my first truly shaved pussies. Loved to eat from her altar and she was equally respondent. Always a nice selection of girls from all over Thailand. Papason was good to me and let me take them next door to the guesthouse for all night. Then there's the Texas Lone Starr. They had a Chiang Mai broad in there I use to take upstairs or home to my apartment in Banglamphu. Good head artist. I never cared for Patpong nor that other hole on Sukhumvit. Too commercial.

I wouldn't mind a little additional info on Nok as well, as I have been considering splurging (overpaying, actually) on her A-level service as well during my upcoming trip to LOS next month. Is she at least cute? How was her attitude?

Would be good to see a current (as in, this week) report -- someone on another forum visited a few weeks back and reported it wasn't too active, but that was when it first opened.

It's literally ACROSS THE STREET from Nana Plaza, and in the back of the Nana hotel, not exactly a hike across the city to visit. Free entry.

Can someone just go poke their head inside (it'd take, what, 5 minutes?) and describe what you see?

I'm out of Thailand now. Curious to hear whether it's picking up or not.

In its heydey (90s/early 00's) this was a very happening place. Maybe the MOST happening.

I won't say this was a sentimental journey (you'll understand why when you know the destination), but one I had wanted to make for awhile. Must be heat delirium...

Way back when, first time I came to Bangkok, I never knew about this forum. Might have existed, but that was in the early days of the commercial internet. If there were internet cafes around, they were few and far between.

I don't know where I picked up the info, but somehow I knew that Patpong's Rose bar was a legit, "legit" being the Thai "legit", upstairs bar that was "safe" - not a ripoff, and offered bj's. Unfortunately, because my source's knowledge was limited to a grain of sand, the SOL, while only 20 m away, was, in effect, light years away, as I did not know it existed.

So one early evening way back when, set out, made my way up the stairs, and had the "Rose" experience. Back then, it was so LONG ago, they actually had dancers (well, more like shufflers) on the stage. Over the years, I'd occassionaly stumble back, late afternoons even, to have the couple of girls on duty roused by the bell as I climbed the stairs, pick one, get taken care of, and leave. Sleeze it was.

Hadn't been there in a LONG, LONG time, but had passed it several times while visiting Patpong on this trip. Honestly surprised to see it still there; how do they pay the rent? So after a trip to MBK, decided to take the skytrain (what a difference it makes, no planning required) over to Patpong, and see what was up at the Rose. Age having given me a bit of common sense, discretion over valor and all that, decided AGAINST an afternoon visit, would make it early evening...

Walked by, the permanent tout sitting in the chair outside the entrance, opening the door to the BLACKNESS, enticing you with a "Come inside, have girls". Asked how much a Singha was - you never know, maybe some nefarious organization had taken it over, turned it into a ripoff bar. No, same nefarious sleeze org. "Beer 90 baht, go up, see."

The same bell alerted the girls as I walked up the dark stairs, the bell that, if slowed down, would actually be clanging out "Abandon hope all ye who enter here". That long climb where you're thinking, what the f*ck am I doing? And if I stumble, fall, die, do I really want an obituary saying WHERE I met my end? Somehow, that stairway is hexed - it's impossible to turn around until you reach the top. It's like the void beckons you on...

Hadn't changed a bit. Made sure of the Singha price, 90 baht. Instead of taking my beer at the bar, took it over to a table. There is a reason they keep it barely lit. Immediately surrounded by ladies (girl is someone under 25, and these weren't girls in my book). They're advertising the availability of a bj - I say I know, I've been here before, and I point out the rooms... Mamasan, well maybe not THE mamasan, waitress, whatever, she mentions that she remembers me (yea right), no true, she's worked there 20 years (certainly one of the lower levels of Dante's Inferno), must have started in her 30's. The "service" costs 800 baht.

Mamasan gives me the "opportunity" to buy everyone a drink, "Only buy 1 round"... Hmmm, I don't want to engender that much good will at the Rose, given I'm planning on measuring my time here in 1/4 hours...

She then explains there are "only" 6 girls to pick from as it's early... Which is 3 more than I expected... But it then slowly dawns on me, one to my right, one to my left, one squatting underneath the table, 2 more to the left of the lady on my left, and, and, and,... The girl to my left has her hand up my shorts leg, the girl under the table is rubbing my lower crotch, the girl to the right is rubbing my upper crotch, but there's ANOTHER hand up my right shorts leg... WTF? It's the "20 years of service" Mamasan. She's the 6th girl? :yikes:

Well, maybe she is clever after 20 years, because this now crystal clear realization focuses my attention on the matter at hand (as in removal) so I immediately make the decision of which one I'll take to the back room (which also hasn't changed; well, at least they're saving money by not renovating; must be going for that nostalgic look). No dilly-dallying around NOW. Average looking, but in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed woman is queen...

Given that the major leaguers are at the SOL, the minors have to be somewhere. Plus they have the "ambiance" of that back room to encourage you to finish up and get the hell out of there. I'm wondering if bedbugs are an issue...

It's about as good as it gets at the Rose, which is a shadow of the SOL. She's topless; I have no interest in seeing anything else... at least the light is DIM, she's busy... No "think baseball" here to delay departure... My mind's stuck on the bedbug question...

Goal achieved, I return to the bar, finish my beer, get the check: 890. With the change from my 1000, 10 to the bar, 100 to the lady... minor league ball can be so depressing... and out the door. I do get a warm thank you from the tout at the bottom.

And that's actually the worst part - you just don't want to be seen by anyone coming OUT of the Rose, not even COMPLETE STRANGERS... I'm looking around for the villagers with the pitchforks and torches, pointing and shouting "Unclean, Unclean"... I quickly cut in and out of the night market rows, hoping to throw off any trailing ghosts...

Not for the faint of heart.
============

Postscript:
Figuring I'd lost any accusing eyes of where I'd just been, thought I'd stop and have a beer, and ponder my decisions of the last 30 minutes... If the Buddhists are right, I'm hoping to come back as high as an ant... The outside King's corners (and there do seem to be 4 of them), look promising, until I stop, put on the reading glasses, and look at the beer prices. 130 baht?

OK, better than the Nana's rip-off of, what is it, 145, 140 inside the bars... But come on, I know I can get a Singha for 100 baht inside a King's Patpong bar. Granted, the outside bar provides a view of the passing masses (not so massive these days), but it's hot outside. Inside, the beer's cheaper, you can watch some dancers (well, shufflers), and at least there is a/c. Not so effective, given the wide open door, but still better than outside. I just don't understand the pricing structure...

Inside I go. Miss Spinner is not there, which is fine, I can't pull (if for no other reason than the Rose's experience has made my "lower" self withdraw into itself, perhaps not physically, but "emotionally?" ), and saves me the cost of a lady drink.

While having my beer, I see another VERY comely lass "suiting" up, the string bikini top being securely tied at her back by the attractive mamasan. I'm impressed, just something erotic about that, even if my lower self isn't, still cowering in lingering fear. And secure it must be, for this girl is "built".

Up on the stage she goes, not by the rear stairs, but by a leggy (and she does have a PAIR of those) bar stool climb, to the pride of position, right in front, a true enticement to anyone passing. And she does know how to move... OK, not the acrobatics of last decade's Miss Dancer at the G-Spot (one of my major regrets in life, never pulling her, but I'd always buy her a drink just because she was so enjoyable to watch). Still, orders of magnitude above the mere shufflers accompanying her on stage. She even knew how to use a pole.

She gets a phone call, and the dismount gets an 8.0 from this judge. Brief conversation, the remount, and she continues some very NICE moves - she's got the pelvic thrusts, the rotating rear down pat. She catches me watching her - hell, for me, the only show on stage, and I get a nice smile, some pelvic thrusts in my direction, a few squats...

I'm impressed. Check my watch; damn, have to move, obligations to meet. OK, beer almost finished, and I'm enjoying the (her) show. When our eyes meet again, I make the universal sign for a drink - I'll buy her a lady drink.

Which has the exact OPPOSITE effect I've intended: she IMMEDIATELY does a pole dismount (another 8.0), and comes over, STOPPING the show. My lapse in years here and I've forgotten - wasn't it a girl still had to do her dance shift if she was with someone? Or was that only if she didn't have a lady drink? OK, no other customers there, so maybe it's a moot point. Get a nice smile, she gets her 2 oz, 100 baht coke. Up close, she looks good; I figure she won't last long, someone will be spiriting her away.

A mamasan brings over a folder card, opens it, and it's a price list for "takeaway". I really can't make out the numbers, given I've got my reading glasses on, she's that close, but the card is too far away. I don't bother putting on my driving glasses as I know, tonight, the prices are moot, and sometime in the future, I won't care what they are - some prices MUST be paid.

Still being crass, inquiring minds want to know, and all that, I ask if "they" are from her mother, or from a hospital. She looks at me with one of those "that's a stupid question" looks you'd get in school. "From mama; real, you want to touch?" which is not really a question as she grabs my hand and places it on one of the "twins". Yep, real, nice and soft. A genuine 36C if I understood her correctly. Like I said, a SECURE tie of the bikini top MANDATORY to keep those from escaping while dancing.

I curse my luck; it's Cinderella time, and I must make my way home. Another time, which is a real drag, as now there are 2 at the King's bar on my to-do list. She shrugs, I head towards the door, she to the back. OK, sure, I'm under NO illusion that it's anything but BUSINESS, but sometimes, she is COMPELLING, you just have to see her at the end of your nard (to quote Sporadic).

Skytrain, on my way home. What the hey, I'll make a brief stop at the Nana station, over to the Soi 7 Bier Garten to take a recce of what's on offer at the 9 o'clock evening hour. One lime (why they call it "lemon" I DON'T know) juice as a nightcap, and I'll be on my way.

Place is crowded, no "real" room at the main bar, only a couple of "Foodland lunch-counter" spots. 65%/45% F/M, but that's relative. In my brief walk-around, nothing jumped out (well, a few did, but for the WRONG reasons).

Home it is. Just as I reached the entrance, departing, here comes a FL I know, arriving. She's a sweet girl, fun to talk with. She always remembers me, and the conversations we've had. Attractive, but just not enough to MY lower self, even though I know she'd give a real GFE. She reminds me of a Dubai Seaview PRC - they could be cousins, fun to talk with, just never got around to "knowing". Don't quite know why that is, why some you take, and some attractive ones, just not attractive enough, even with a great personality (and that's not the 'she has a great personality' slight).

She asks where I'm headed. "Home." She grabs my arm, "Don't believe." "No, really, no seats inside." True and true statements. But she's having none of it. Fine, I will have my nightcap, and buy her a drink. [Note: now I've briefly forgotten that this is not the same as in a bar: there, a lady drink EARNS her money; here, a drink is just a drink. But it will give her something in front of her while she looks for a customer.]

Lo and Behold, we spot 2 adjacent seats at the main bar. We sit, I order a lime juice, so does she. She leans close, and whispers, "I'm a little bit drunk."

"Danger Will Robinson" alarms start to go off - almost 2 DECADES later, I still remember my first bg regular, a mean drunk, and I do mean MEAN. Frighting; several times I'd put her in a taxi, hand the driver a couple 100 baht, and tell him to take her wherever she wanted to go. Now, Miss Friend is PROBABLY not like that, but I AM familiar with drunk bg logic... And it's not a pretty sight.

Drinks come, and I IMMEDIATELY start on mine. No need to delay here. She looks around, and comes to a similar "ratio" conclusion as I had, but from HER point of view: "too many ladies, too few man; not good for business." I continue to drink.

"Last night, you take lady, not take me..." Yep, I DON'T like the way this is headed, could turn into "Nasty (and not the good nasty) Street" anytime. I drink faster. "You take lady, only give me small money..."

Guess the old cliche IS true: no good deed goes unpunished. Previous night, before I'd really gotten started talking to Miss Pull, Miss Friend had taken a seat on the other side of her. I bought Miss Pull a drink as we discussed "things", and I considered buying Miss Friend a round, but I knew it would just be a drink. Besides, I wanted to finish the requirements spec, quickly sign the contract, and be on my way to implementation. Deal made, but got a slight sting from Miss Pull on departure. On her arrival, she'd ordered a beer. Now, on our departure, besides the drink I'd specifically bought her, she was having the waiter put the beer on my tab too. Not enough for me to say anything, not wanting to dampen the financial ardor I'd just purchased, but still... Just a little splinter... And Miss Friend CERTAINLY understood what had happened.

Feeling a touch guilty with respect to Miss Friend, I'd slipped her a 100 as I walked past. Would pay for her drink, or she could use for taxi money. Up to her, but it was hard cash.

I could feel the turn onto Nasty Street coming up... Now, I'm gulping the lime juice, bitterness be damned. Suddenly, a detour. "I only joking..." Whooo. But then, it's the intoxicated logic that I dread, that narrow focus... "Today, several men buy me drinks: 4 wines, some beer, 2 whiskeys, but no business." OK, if I'd drunk that mix, I'd be puking my guts out in the gutter (low alcohol tolerance). Her, it's just "focused" her reasoning facilities... "No business. I no have money..."

OK, there NEVER was an 11Bravo BG charity fund, contrary to some beliefs. Certainly a drink for some I enjoy, and I've purchased many a bg's company, but it's always been cash and carry (or should that be 'carry and cash'?) No installment plans for future "considerations"

I say, "Oh, look, my drink's finished. Have to go; bye." "Where you go? You take lady! [THAT is not a question, but a statement.] You not take me."

MAYBE it's just my imagination, but is she slowly metamorphosing into an octopus, with grasping tentacles? Is this my karma payback for the Rose escapade, so soon? http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=1002504&postcount=9572

"No, I go home. Now." Yes, those are encircling tentacles. I break free, both figuratively, and literally (the confined bar stool space). I see an opening, and lunge towards it. Open space never looked so good. Her "no customers" observation follows me...

I'm sure the next time I see her, she'll be her old, sunny self, but, lesson learned, I will confine my Bier Garten drinking to earlier in the day.

Narrow escape indeed.

Bravo indeed - superb set of reports! I hope to read more. Rose sounds like a dive - I must try it one day, if I gather the courage and the bedbug repellent.

Are you trying to write a book?

FFS.

You simply tell all the girls you are big butterfly, take different lady every night and it puts them right into their place, they will not attempt anything next time they see you.

If you have not got the balls to tell the girls you fuck around a lot then you will be seen as "prey" to them, weak willed men who cannot openly admit what they are, who try to hide what they do from bar girls.

Tell them straight the first time you take them and let it be known you are the customer and they are paid for sex, as and when needed but only if you want to, and if you want to take a diffrerent girl the next night, you will.

Are you trying to write a book? No, but I thought I heard that with your 2000th post, you get a free isg t-shirt. Have I been misinformed?

it puts them right into their placeI just never found that the "put them in their place" attitude was right for me. I've never felt that I needed to push someone down to feel superior.

I've always used "repeat business" as a satisfaction indicator. You know, the carrot, rather than the stick.

If you have not got the balls to tell the girls you fuck around a lot then you will be seen as "prey" to them, weak willed men who cannot openly admit what they are, who try to hide what they do from bar girls. My ball size is just fine, thank you, but thanks for asking.

Now my heart, that's a different matter. I'm thinking that IF the Buddhists are right, I'm trying to have as big a heart as possible so I have hopes of coming back as something as high as an ant next life, my goal anyway. That khun ji de and all.

I don't hide what I do, but I don't need to flaunt it either. No need to state the obvious. Damn, I'm very comfortable with myself. Thanks for reconfirming that.

you are the customer and they are paid for sexI'm sure that with you, they are very aware of that fact. As with me, but perhaps in a slightly different way. If I do come back as a bar girl next life, I'll let you know for sure.

FFS.

Oh man, are you nuts? Posts like these are so much more interesting than all the tit-for-tat sarcastic cynical one liner posts that show up every day.

11Ball's and Kumbu's posts are the best damn things I've seen show up here this year. They're not just detailed, but interesting, funny, witty and intelligent.

went over to patpong last week - maybe 9 or 10. i just felt like having a bj, and as i had passed down the alley of [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) on suk 8 twice without anyone catching my eye (where is dream these days) thought i'd give sol a go. walked over there and had a beer inside. the ugliest one sat next to me. "meow krup" sent her away. rabbit was engaged with some japanese dude and there was a queue at the restroom to get sucked off. my favorite little spinner wasn't there either, and neither was jane. i hadn't walked inside in about a year, so i guess things have changed.

walked out and went into a bar called "mike's place." never been there, but the girls immediately took me into one of the back rooms. i chose "da" a skinny girl with a good attitude. sadly my choice would prove to be disappointing. the first thing she does is turn on the tv and put in a porno. she strips and immediately starts sucking me off. she did not have great skills. in fact, she's one of the worst. she only sucks about 1/3 of the way down my shaft, and i start watching the porno so i can finish. i also had to fuck her mouth in order to cum. i will not be back. cost: 800 baht plus 100 baht tip. for my money, the only bj bars that deserve my business are [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) and sol.

I was in Bangkok last week for some business, and managed to sneak in a session or two at the places along Ratchadaphisek Road. I had been a little concerned about the impact of the political protests, but other than some vandalized signs and some visible police presence everything seemed pretty normal.

The one thing that seems to be affected is business for the girls. The places seemed empty, and one girl complained that business had been really slow since the protests started.

went to [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) yesterday. dream still isn't back - perhaps she's gone for good. anyway it was about 5 pm so there were loads of girls to choose from outside. i chose "new" - a real cutie with small breasts. great bj skills; halfway through i asked her how much for boom boom. 1100 baht. ok sure. 3 positions on that small little couch - not exactly prime comfort but was great - she has a beautiful pussy. cim and she had a big smile on her face. so did i.

Hi folks,

Only been to LOS once before, in December. But am planning a new trip in first week of May.

Anybody have any experience from going to Bangkok (perhaps a few days in Pattaya too)? Do the bars still have a good selection of girls, or does it drop down because it is "off-season"?

Happy Easter!

I've heard so much of Bier Garden and wanted to check out the action. It's close by to where I'm staying and thought it would be a great place to take some for either short time or long time. I tried to get there about 11pm because I know some of the FL are going to try to get home by midnight before they shut down the rail system.

My friend and I got there and the place was packed. It looked like an bunch of island bars all through out. I happened to grab a seat when a guy left and this girl next to me starts chatting and starts her flirting. She was pretty and we struck up a conversation, but I asked about short time but she wanted 1, 500 Bt. That should have been the first warning. Most gals here usually take 1, 000 Bt. I was pretty tired and horny and decided ask about overnight and got quited 2, 000Bt. I was pretty horny and decided to take her up. I should have know it may not turn well.

We got back to the hotel and she quickly gave me a lame HJ and would not even offer BJ at all. Then we had sex and then she finished me off and then just rolled over to sleep. I was in no mood to argue and just went with it. She wakes up at 7am and then proceeds to give me BBBJ finally and once I had cummed, she promptly left.

Overall, my experience wasn't that good at the bier Garden. I got worked over by a pro but hey I'm learning.

I would have been better off if I went to a local bar and BF a girl back home. Atleast I would not have gotten such attitude.

I'll probably never head to Bier Garden to pick up anyone back.

I'm no fan of Bier Garten, just find that whats on offer there isn't generally as good as almost any other venue nearby.

But... your reasoning is faulty here. All the girls are different people. You're probably close to as likely to pick up a lemon like this one at some local bar as at Bier Garten. And likewise, you're just as likely to get a girl who gives good service next time you go to BG again. So never going there again doesn't seem to make sense, unless your goal is to just keep eliminating places to go back to. If you decide to never return to a place every time you have a bad experience, eventually you won't have any more places to go. OK maybe that's pushing it, but you see the point. You can make choices to maximize your chances, but luck will always be a factor. Luck was just against you this time.

Always nice to experience BKK through the eyes of a newbie. That BKK NEW only happens once for each of us, the shock and awe.

I tried to get there about 11pm because I know some of the FL are going to try to get home by midnight before they shut down the rail system.Bier Garten goes all hours; I like it in the afternoons. Certainly less to pick from then, but like I say, I've always seen at least one who I could walk out the door with (if they had a door) with no problems. My trouble is, I have to work on my timings as the ones I like seem to be occupied already. My advice: If you find her attractive, so will others, so make an offer sooner rather than later. You snooze, you loose.

Overall, my experience wasn't that good at the bier Garden. I got worked over by a pro but hey I'm learning. They're all pros, in one way or another. :)

I would have been better off if I went to a local bar and BF a girl back home. Atleast I would not have gotten such attitude.Don't be too sure about that :) Plenty of bg's would provide the same type of service. There really is no way of knowing beforehand (but see below). Look on the bright side: she did deliver 3 shots, and 1 was the morning wakeup, even if EARLY. Some would have simply dressed and disappeared out the door.

I'll probably never head to Bier Garden to pick up anyone back."Like a box of chocolates..." Anyplace has providers who will provide good or bad service, some mostly good, some mostly bad. The only way to really know is to try and to see how she is with you, taking into consideration others' reports, but even then, there are no guarantees, good or bad.

The best indication I've found is how she interacts with you, in the bar. Obviously, she should be marketing to you. If she's flirty and friendly, no guarantees back home, but certainly more likely than someone giving 1 word answers (limited english notwithstanding). But also understand she is trying to seal a deal, so there are no written guarantees.

You just try again with someone else.

For me, I've had some good luck at BG7, and do like the place, people watching if nothing else.

You might try some of the bars up on Soi Cowboy - I've been impressed with some of the looks of the Tilac girls, but no experience of how they are outside.

You're probably close to as likely to pick up a lemon like this one at some local bar as at Bier Garten.Right. And much less likely to meet an authentic part-time semi-pro of the kind who show up at the BG whenever they need a bit of extra cash. One needs to invest some time there and choose carefully, but the BG is not to be underestimated.

I don't think your experience is that out of the ordinary, especially if you pick the first chick you talked to at BG!! Chemistry is important. If after she said 1500, if you said 1000, she would have agreed. She probably saw you as a newbie. Similarly, the standard for LT is 1500. Once you get the price down, talk about what you want. Trust me, there is nothing these girls have not heard or (almost) done. Lot of these girls gave day time jobs or other obligations. So they leave in the AM. At least she gave you a BJ before she left - many try to sneak out.

And I wouldn't try and beat the last 100 baht out of her. If she comes in reasonable and there seems to be some chemistry there, more than just proximity of sitting next to each other, I'd say go for it. That's what I like about the BG7, you have a chance to talk and flirt, with no need for lady drinks...

Just remember, I'm a bit paranoid, but she doesn't work there, even though she does, so be a bit more cautious. But no guarantees anywhere, have read reports on "Stickman" that a guy got drugged in a Soi Cowboy bar...

There are a lot of too-old-to-be gogo dancers, too-ugly-to-be gogo dancers, gogo-bar-managers-too-smart-to-let-her-work-there girls, and a lot of other flotsam and jetsam around (both sides of the table as it were), but there are some gems to be mined there. One of my BKK regrets, still remembered 5 years on, is a 38 year old office worker there (COULDN'T believe her age, so she showed me her id), style, attractive, class, but didn't have the time to avail myself.

That's the thing about BG7 - there are a lot of now-you-see-em, now-you-don't types. On the other hand, it's a (mostly) constantly changing cast of characters (and there are a lot of those in there).

One of my favorite girls that I've met so far in the Land of Smiles used to wait customers at the Bier Garten on Sukhumvit Soi 7. She was not the most beautiful girl in Thailand (but a solid 7/10 in my book), but you would not be ashamed to introduce her to your parents, boss or friends: attractive, classy, very smart and well-mannered, nobody would have guessed that she was a prostitute.

When I first met her, she was 23 year old (but looked younger) and for several years, I've been her regular customer each time I was staying in Bangkok. About our sexual intercourses, she was up for everything that I've ever wanted... The only criticism that I would have made is that she is not a "swallower"... but she is a "squirter"!

I haven't met her during my latest visits in the City of Angels (Bangkok) and her phone number has changed in the meanwhile, so, she might be out of the P4P market nowadays, but she was a real gem, and I'm pretty certain that there's plenty of great girls available every now and then at the Bier Garten.

THe prices in the BG7 vary even with the same person. I once went with a girl for 2,000Baht for an afternoon of fun because I was horny and she looked like my first girlfriend. Several months later, the same girl, same time of day, agreed to my offer of 1,000 for exactly the same deal and what turned out to be the same experience. THe second time around the attraction was not so great as I had already done it and maybe she sensed that. Also, maybe the rent was due. She was one of those who has to be home by 7pm.

I have just spent the last week BKK on Business. During what little free time I had between work I managed to partake in the hobby.

I stayed at the Landmark hotel on Sukumvit. Two times I visited Aviva massage and spent time with a lady called Khuan. Shes circa 25 age group, good looking and the main thing was she was fun to be with and seemed to really enjoy the hobby. On both times I had a 90 Minute oil massage and two pops with khuan set me back 2200bht each time.

On another night I went to the Therma Club between soi 14/15/ I went after 11pm. I picked up a nice 24 year old who was a shop assistant by day and once a month she would come to the club to earn some extra cash. She was offering 3000bht for all night. We settled on 2500. Turned out to be a good investment, and a nice GFE.

On a final note, there were some red shirt demonstrations during my stay, but apart from the odd traffic delay there was no feeling of threat to personal safety.

THat is good value at Aviva. Usually it is one pop only and on the rare occasion that the girl goes for a second, she wants more.

I know that Aviva is expensive compared to Tulip where you can get two pops or more for 2200baht but Aviva has a less full-on pro attitude and the girls are not jaded after being shagged all day as some guys only go there for a hand job or even just a regular massage.

Hey all,

I've been coming to BKK on business over the past year. Due to the relationship I have with the hotel staff (small hotel, catering to business/long-term stay), I do not want to bring a girl back to my place.

Where do you guys recommend in terms of hotels by the hour or night.

I'm near Nana and have been visiting Soapy's. I would like to try a bar girl soon.

Yes, and this is because of these guys that some oilies (ie: Angel) took the all inclusive option.

Sure, many can blame the Japanese and their liking to have everything all-in, but I heard from 2 ladies there that they had to do it because many top girls were complaining that they were losing money from assholes just wanting a HJ or no extras.

It makes sense, but I still don't like the All-inc model so, bye bye Angel

I had wandered in for a drink before an important appointment in Soi 7/1... :) Our eyes met across a crowded room and it was lust at first sight. I got her phone number and went out for my appointment.

Emerging blinking and weary into the evening a couple of hours later, there was no way I was interested in more 'entertainment'. But something made me call her up, and I went off to meet her at a hair salon, where I sat and chatted to her as she was having hair extensions put in. I invited her back to my place, and the spirit was willing and she made sure the flesh was strong... The rest is history, and I'm seeing her again in 9 days... :) A real gem.

Where do you guys pick your gals? The bars at NEP? or on Soi 7?

I have yet to try the bars since I know you have to pay a $600 fee for the BF and then $1000 for ST. Does anyone know how much it is to take a gal for LT?

On Soi 7, I got quoted $2,000 for LT.

Once a month or everyday of the month? Do not believe everything the girl says. Do you really think the girl will stay home if 2500 baht is staring at her every day if she is lucky? Her salary if at all she has a job will multiply many times.
Important thing is you had a good time.

Where do you guys pick your gals? The bars at NEP? or on Soi 7?Anywhere I find a wg that I find attractive. :)

I think NEP has really gone downhill; some of the GREAT bars of YEARS past are wastelands now, and I do mean wastelands - not ugly girls, but FEW girls. Years past, G-spot, at the "all dance" number, the stage was so crowded, all the girls would barely fit. Was in there last month, 4 girls dancing... Voodoo was a desert.

Rainbow bars are known for having the best lookers, but also known for their appreciation of the Japanese. But I've certainly had girls (OK, 1 :) ) flirt with me, and I'm not Japanese :)

It all comes down to (and this is true anywhere): do you find her attractive, and how is her attitude towards you? If she's ignoring me in the bar, I don't care if she's stunning, because if she ignores me there, even if I do get her, I'll bet she'll also ignore me at home (both figuratively and literally).

Soi Cowboy (Sukhumvit, Soi 21, Asoke) - you can see it from the sky train station - is the most "alive" right now, just has that feel. You can easily walk, well, slowly, and watch out for all the street vendors, from Nana to Cowboy. If uncertain, grab a taxi. But the street (it is a street, not a plaza like Nana) just feels alive. Like I said, I've seen several "appealing to me" girls in Tilac (a BIG bar - think Nana of the 'good old days'), and even a SMALL bar like Live Music has 1 or 2 attractive girls.

If nothing else, pick a table OUTSIDE, have a drink, watch the passing parade, and if you see an attractive girl(s) passing, keep an eye on her to find out where she works. Can help if you pay your tab early to allow a fast get-away... Not encouraging stalking, but check out "her" bar, and if she's not interested, others might be. If unsuccessful, repeat...

If you're looking for the "best" deal, the "best" girl, think you'll always be sadly disappointed. I got some fantastic advice when I first came here a long time ago. I was like a kid in a candy store: Look, I'll have that. No, wait, I'll have that. Wait, I like that better. A good friend told me, 11B, pick one, take her, enjoy. You can always come back again and try another...

I have yet to try the bars since I know you have to pay a $600 fee for the BF and then $1000 for ST. Does anyone know how much it is to take a gal for LT?That's baht, not $ :)

BF's vary by bar (more likely area); "services" by girl. And that depends on a LOT of things - market, time of night (yes, going late, you can get some 'desperate' girls, but then again, you also have to ask yourself what will the service be like if she's just desperate), how she "likes" you (if she offers 5000, that's really a "no thank you"), if she's short of her bf quota, how much she needs cash, her calculation on how much "more" business she can do that night, her plans "later", ...

Best thing to do is just ask. Simple, "You go LT? How much?" You can always say "Sorry, no thank you", just as she can. :)

On Soi 7, I got quoted $2,000 for LT.That seems to be the going price there, well, in baht anyway.

I'd say 2000 is a good price, 4000 only if she's a "will haunt me the rest of my life if I don't see her" type. Anything else, as long as it's towards the 2000 range, and not really above 3000, would be OK for me.

As I've posted a number of times: A good price is what her experience is worth to you that night.

I'm near Nana and have been visiting Soapy's. Well, in the 6+ years you've been a member, 2!?! posts, both questions? Take an example from Mr. Samuking, and try giving something back (your soapy experiences, for example), especially if you're asking a question that has been asked and answered many times before (hint: this forum does have a search function).

Yes, I could have answered your question quicker than the above, so here is my answer: Just ask the girl. Believe me, she WILL know.

A real gem. They can be mined.

Good news: Yesterday, repeated with a girl I find attractive.

Bad news: As we were walking out, another very attractive girl, who'd I'd never seen, was walking in.

That's the positive/negative of the BG7...

Solution: return to BG7 :) It just keeps bringing you back...

Why is that bad news???
Why not stop the attractive girl and negotiate a threesome? if they are ok, you are the big winner... but if they aren't, ditch the one you don't want...

as you said earlier, you can always come back to have the other one later... I mean, they're hookers, not girlfriends so they will be upset on the spot but go back with you the next day because you have something they want: $$$

Why is that bad news???The story was true, but let's just say that there was a bit of exaggerated emphasis on the "bad" news part for dramatic effect.

I was really trying to point out for those who have not ventured to the BG7, having heard all the dragon stories, was that, for me, anyway, there is a fairly constant parade (even if slow, and often obscured) of female customers who I find very attractive and could walk out the door with. I have yet to be there when I haven't seen at least 1.

The other point is, as I've said before, is exactly what I like about the BG7 - the shifting choices, the now-you-see-them, now-you-don't effect, though it can sometimes be difficult to find her again, especially if your time here is limited. But there is always someone else... A constant parade.

As to the "good" news part? Don't regret my decision at all... :)

hey all,

i've been coming to bkk on business over the past year. due to the relationship i have with the hotel staff (small hotel, catering to business/long-term stay), i do not want to bring a girl back to my place.

where do you guys recommend in terms of hotels by the hour or night.

i'm near nana and have been visiting soapy's. i would like to try a bar girl soon.

you could try one of the guesthouses along soi 4. there used to be one opposite the big mango bar which is on an alley off soi 4, opposite raja hotel with checkers bar on the corner. that guesthouse seems to have been renovated. i have no idea on price or quality. it certainly used to have short term rates.

often the girl will know a short-time place nearby but in the past i have also experienced girls bringing me to hotels that cost 1,500 a night and receptionist won't agree a short-term rate. i have never heard of any security problem with going to a place suggested by a bar girl.

short-time rooms become more difficult to find during busy times - like the upcoming water festival. you might want to consider booking and paying a guest house for the whole night - remember to bring your passport if you do. this will cost you usually between 600 and 800 baht per night.

i am wary of recommending a particular place to you as i have not done the short-time hotel thing for many years and things change quickly in bkk. also i have no idea of your budget and expectations.

No offense intended, but worrying about a safety net in bangkok seems completely unnecessary. In some places and situations I can imagine it is rational to reserve and then come back in case you don't find something better... but in Bangkok there are literally hundreds of available gorgeous women within a few blocks of each other. Between Nana, Thermae, Biergarten and Cowboy, not to mention all the soapies, massage places, street walking FLs, how could one possibly be worried about not finding something you like? I can imagine getting frozen by having too many that I like and being unable to choose, but that's a different problem!

Why did you keep her if the service is bad. You should just give her 1000 bht and tell her to leave, why waste all night with her there are so many place in BKK that you can find another girl for the night, Bier garden is been going down hill for the last few yr quality of the girl is much better 5 yr ago and 1000 bht you get all nighter.

Katooeys taking over that place! Nana Hotel parking lot used to have some local fresh talent. Was with Bangkok Expat, and we still had some difficulty eyeing some who were genuine articles or not.

Decided to test it out, younger petite one in sundress refused to lower past 1.2BHT, so I relented and walked her up to security. Asked to see ID, lo and behold, katooey. Sent him on his way.

Gave in, and barfined go-go at Rainbow 4. Great body, but lousy service.

Finished up, with 2 local SP leaving hotel. Tag team 3 way finally hit the spot for almost half price of go-go's. Always hit or miss, I tell ya . . .

From the Bangkok Post: Pornthiva: Poseidon blast 'not a political threat'

"The car bomb explosion outside the Poseidon massage parlour on Sunday night is unlikely to have been politically motivated, Commerce Minister Pornthiva Nakasai said on Monday.

The huge massage parlour and entertainment centre on Ratchadaphisek, Din Daeng, is owned by Bhumjaithai Party secretary-general Pornthiva's father, Surinat Saksiriwetakul.

"I'm not running the Poseidon business, even though it is a family business," Mrs Pornthiva said..."

Thanks for the update.
Hopefully it will be settled without violence and then there can be a fanfare when the skytrain opens at the airport.

...The red shirt leaders have announced yesterday to rally on other sides of Bangkoks central business district, too, such as Silom Road, Sathon Road and Suriwong Road. This has NOT happened yet.
... The mood right now here in Bangkok is shifting, because with blocking this central intersection there is a major impact on business and traffic - clearly realized by most Bangkokians.

Soi Nana, lower Sukhumvit, Soi Cowboy - business as usual.
The way from and to the airport is free, but controlled by police and army - there are smaller traffic jams in both ways. Plan a bit more time when going to the airport.

Moving in Bangkok - try to use the Skytrain, then you will not encounter any problem. If you use a taxi coming from Sukhumvit avoid the area starting at Soi 1 towards Chidlom - major traffic jam there. Petchaburi Road towards Pratunam - avoid, not easy to get to Panthip right now. If you go from the the lower Sukumvit area to Patpong avoid all the demonstration area by going via Asoke / Rama 3.

I expect a bit of an escalation in the next few days. The government tries to get arrest warrents against the red-shirt leaders, the demonstration at Rajprasong intersection is basically illegal.

No, but I thought I heard that with your 2000th post, you get a free isg t-shirt. Have I been misinformed?

I just never found that the "put them in their place" attitude was right for me. I've never felt that I needed to push someone down to feel superior.

I've always used "repeat business" as a satisfaction indicator. You know, the carrot, rather than the stick.

Big butterfly? Please. That's 500 posts (simple butterfly is 250). At a 1000, it's Helicopter. Above 1500, SkyLab.

I'm sure that with you, they are very aware of that fact. As with me, but perhaps in a slightly different way. If I do come back as a bar girl next life, I'll let you know for sure.

Cheers.

The shytrain down Suk still only goes to On Nut, , it will go to Bang Na someday, (2009 Kings birthday ! ) there it will meet the airport link but you will still have to drag your suitcases between the 2 and thats not going to be easy,

And unless they change the operating times of the BTS it will not be working when Americans usually arrive at Midnight-1am or depart in the early morning,

Just give yourself enough extra time, the taxi driver will get you there....

As an update, many oily massage places around Sukhumvit are shutting down soon for the holidays as the girls go home for Thai New Year.

Around the 12th April to 16th April period many will be shut, re-opening on the 17th.

Asking a few bar girls and girls in the BG etc.. and they all say they are going home around the 10th for a couple of weeks.

I would suggest therefore from the 10th April the number of freelancers is going to slide down and then the massage places shut down and bar girls go home too.

All in all as far as Bangkok goes I would suggest its an avoid for mongering for at least a week, 10th to 17th April as your choices are going to be very limited.

Went into Baccara last night. For my money the hottest girls on the soi are in here. There are hot girls in Tilac as well but they don't take their tops off for some insane reason. Anyway there's a girl who dances upstairs in Baccara who I've been wanting to fuck for about 2 years. She's got long curly hair now, perfect tits, big eyes, and usually dances in the corner. She's obviously the star. Problem is that she's always with someone and tonight was no different. Oh well. This other young cutie sat next to me - short with big perky tits. She immediately wants a drink and before the drink even arrives she wants me to barfine her. 600 + 2000 ST. 2000 is an insane price, even for this bar. She can see my hesitation and leaves. I decide to give Nana a go.

I walk into Spanky's. Again this is one of my favorite bars because the girls are really cute. A girl named Boo sits next to me. After chatting for a bit, she wants me to barfine her. 600 barfine and she asks for 2000 ST. I say no way I only ever pay 1000. She counters with 1100 and I say okay. We go into the short time room upstairs (300 baht). She's even hotter than she looked in the bar. She's a lovely girl but her fake moans are quite annoying. Great fuck though and great DFK as well. BJ was fantastic. Paid her 1100 after that (I never tip) and she seemed happy enough. Total damage - 600 BF + 300 drinks + 1100 + 300 room = 2300 baht. Still a bit expensive for me but oh well. You only live once. Still hoping to shag that Baccara girl....I do find that the girls will pay more attention to you on a weekday - the bars weren't nearly as packed as they were on Friday/Saturday.

Things are escalating today, be careful out there, avoid all the area around the Rajprasong intersection, Childlom, Siam Square.

The red shirt leaders will try to move the demonstrations to 11 restricted roads today (Sathon, Silom, Suriwong, Asoke etc.), and the government is in the dilemma whether to allow that or to use force to stop the red shirts from moving there.

UDD security guards were already sent to intersections at Prathunam, Ploenchit, Pathumwan and Chidlom areas to confront police and troops.

Obviously some red shirt groups are already in Asoke or on their way to the house of the prime minister (Soi 31) - I can hear them from here (Soi 33).

I think the gov'mint wants to use today's holiday to start cleaning things up. But, remember Songkhran a year ago? Things can get ugly fast when the police (and militarty) push too hard.

All the government needs is to hold on until the 15th of this month... after that, well let's say the Army will switch camp. That's all I'll say for now.
The reds are on a timed schedule so yes, things could escalate... and fast.

All the government needs is to hold on until the 15th of this month... after that, well let's say the Army will switch camp. That's all I'll say for now.
The reds are on a timed schedule so yes, things could escalate... and fast.
The Ides of...... April??

Time to retreat to Livingstone's Lodge and forget all this!!

Hello Gentlemen,

I was hoping that someone would be able to answer a few basic questions for me. I'm currently planning my very first trip to Asia in September. I've traveled extensively throughout Central and South America (Medellin is my favorite), but have never taken the long trip to the Orient. I plan on being there for two and half weeks in total. The first week and a half, and the primary reason for going, is to visit a girlfiend in Hong Kong. Most of my time there will be with her (although I might slip away for a day!). I will then have seven days to visit a second destination. I would like to visit either Thailand or the Phillipines. I've also heard great things about both. Given my limited time, the fact that I will be travelling alone, and that have never been to Asia, which one would you recommend? I've been digging through the material on the forum for both countries, but there are hundreds of pages and it is hard to get an concise version.

I've been looking at airfares from Hong Kong to either Manilla or Bangkok and both are very cheap. However, it appears that Bangkok hotels are cheaper. Which country is the best value for girls? I prefer overnight long term dates to short sessions. I also prefer more of a girlfriend experience to quickies. If I visit Thailand, would you recommend a few days in Bangkok and then the rest at Pattaya? The Penthouse Hotel which is advertised on the banner of the ISG looks like it would be a good option for a newbie and they offer airport pickup. Do you recommend it? Is there a inexpensive hotel (around $50-$75) in Bangkok which is girl friendly that you would recommend?

If I visit the Philippines instead, should I stick to Manilla or try to make it to Angeles City? It seems from the posts that I've read, it is difficult to get to Angeles City. Is there a recommended cheaper hotel for the stay in Manilla.

Thank you for any assistance that anyone can provide. One final question would be which country has more touristy things to do during the day. Thanks again.

Hi everyone, I'm currently in Tokyo Japan and will be flying to Koh Samui and BKK in the next few days. I have a few questions for BKK though if anyone can help.

I'll be in town during the Thai New Year, what can I expect to happen besides so called massive water fights?

I have read here that many bars and massage places will be closed, will mongering be mostly unavailable, or does this just means I need to look harder?

Lastly, I'm hoping to find a place that sells great quality replica watches, such as Seiko / Omega, etc, can anyone recommend some specific places that hopefully won't be closed during the new year?

Thanks!

During the Songkran holidays, many P4P girls go back home to celebrate the Thai traditional New Year's Day with their family and friends, but fortunately, not all of them. So, this usually just means that you will have to look harder, indeed, at this time of the year.

Again the warning - be careful out there.

Today red shirt groups have moved to the parliament, trying to break into the compound.

Background is the a decision of the cabinet (meeting in the parliament building) to ask Thaicom (satellite operator) to take action against certain television channels before noon. Those satellite television channel are said to "broadcast distorted information about the government and the country". Channels were not named but it is understood that the cabinet was referring to Dstation or People Channel of the red shirts.

This is the way to escalation.

As someone who will be arriving in Bangkok on April 24th for a two-week LOS vacation, I greatly appreciate the updates by Giotto and others about the political situation on the ground, as it might seriously impact my vacation plans. They certainly belong here. None of these updates has even remotely contained a bias toward any political or "demo" view. Mr. Pro, you have once again succeeded in sticking your head up your ass. I have been perusing this board for months now in preparation for just my second trip to Thailand, and I'm finding your "contributions" to be tiresome in the extreme...

It's possible a civil war is on the verge of breaking out, and this guy wants to disallow any mention here of it. What I'm hearing is that the red shirts entered the parliament today. Explosions have been going off all over town the last few weeks, including in front of the biggest massage parlor in town just a couple days ago, and just around the corner from Soi Cowboy. Anyway, this is the Bangkok section. It's relevant. Keep up the updates.

Anyone who wants to stick their head in the sand, feel free to go do that.

I would think Thailand is the better place to go. And I do think Pattaya is the place to be there I have been to Manila and Cebu and it did cost more than Thailand but I did not get to Angeles and I think it is probably like Pattaya and I do like to go see one day.

But Pattaya is cheap and there is so much there if you need more info just ask love to help.

Their targets seem to be pretty unpredictable, and some of those targets are getting hit with explosives. The most active ones in this are extremists, who knows what they'll suddenly decide to do. They're getting desperate. Maybe it'll seem like a bright idea to one of them to chuck a grenade into Nana Plaza. Don't think I'd feel 100% safe anywhere in BKK these weeks.

A lot of red shirts loaded cars on the way into the city - looks to me that they are mobilizing their reserves.

Actually, I can afford the full price of a good lick, but what I can't afford is this country's reputation going down the tubes... this is very very bad for business.

The thing is, this thing isn't just about Mr T, it is now getting bigger and more complex. I do not see the Red Shirts pulling out of that one like they did last year after Songkran.

The Positive side, is that Thailand is like a Cat... no matter how high you throw it, it will always land on its own 2 feet. Thailand will be hurt, maybe badly, but Thailand will always recover and I hope it is sooner rather than later.

Now on the Red Shirts, I am everyday in contact with them when I walk the streets, they are mostly families, older women, children... They smile, pat me in the back, take pictures, shake my hand... this is still quite Friendly and I really hope it stays that way.

Tomorrow we will see if the Army takes Action (they have said they would not).

I would like to ask few questions to the senior members before heading to Chinatown.

I will be BKK at end of this month for 6+ hours before heading to Yangon, I think I will choose China town to kill these hours(gogo bars are not my cup of tea) so my questions are:

1. At between 11pm-4am how is the selection and activity will be compare to the day time, worse better or same.

2. Can I take 2 or 3 girls at same time to a st hotel, or just strictly one at a time, hotel will charge by no. Of people or just certain time you spend in the room.

3. Anyone has any experience buying Kamagara at Chinatown' pharmacies.

4. Last but not least any recommendation on real traditional thai massage to kill two hours before going back to airport and what time they open till.

In the end I would like to thank you for all the selfless contribution you guys put into this forum and make my trip much easier and in return I will definitely write a TR to update latest situation.

How many days do you have in BKK? Just go to Sukhumvit near soi 4. Go to the first hotel you can see - if you like and they have rooms, take it. But if they don't ask them if you can leave your luggage there (don't leave valuables there) and walk around until you find a room, get your luggage, get in a taxi and head to the hotel. There are a LOT of hotels between soi 1 and soi 30+ on Sukhumvit. It is almost certain JW Marriot will have a room - expensive - but stay on night and move to a cheaper one if that is what you want.

I am assuming you have bought your plane ticket and to cancel would cost you money.

Therefore, you have to play it by ear. If things get really bad the airlines will cancel flights into BKK. If things are just a little screwed like right now, I would advise you to say fuck it and head straight to Pattaya. If things clear up, then say amen and have a great time in the big mango.

Guys, be very careful out there. The political situation in Bangkok is very tense right now and what appears to be a quiet street can erupt into a full scale riot in a matter of seconds.

I know there are some of you (Nic and Giotto to name a few) who have to be there right now. I am postponing my trip for a couple of months to let things settle down.

If you do decide to go, make sure to keep your wits about you. Don't over-drink. Definitely don't do drugs. Avoid places with large groups of protesters. If your senses tell you that something just doesn't seem quite right, trust them and move on. Go to another bar, nightclub, massage place, or whatever. Head back to your hotel room if you must.

This is definitely not the right time to take chances. Be careful.

At any given unlucky moment, if you are not paying attention, you can easily be run over by some form of wheeled contraption, slip on a wet bathroom floor, or fall in a hole in the sidewalk. Honestly, I say this because I think this is actually more dangerous than the current UDD 'red shirt' rally and the now moving demonstration.

Last night, at about 9 pm, I took the BTS Skytrain from Silom over to Sukhumvit to meet a buddy at the Biergarten on Soi 7. Other than a very loud cheering noises coming from the Ratchaprasong intersection, (where the rally is centered), there was no excitement to report. The BG was fairly busy and there were a number of good looking and semi-good looking ladies looking for company.

After a couple of beers we walked over to the Check Inn on Sukhumvit Rd. for another beer and to listen to the Filipina trio that sings there. We were politely offered company by the mamasan, but I'd made earlier plans to meet my GF for dinner back in Silom, so at about 11:40 pm we caught a taxi on Sukhumvit.

As we moved down Sukhumvit Rd. there were a lot of 'red shirts' out and about waving flags, cruising in pickup trucks and motorbikes. The taxi had to reroute at Lumpini Park because the red shirts had closed off access around two sides of the park. There was no animosity or intimidation in any way when we had to turn around, just a bit of inconvenience, and a few more baht on the meter.

My GF met us at the Safari Bar in Patpong. I like the retro atmosphere in the Safari, and there are a few nice young girls, (and some nasty older ones), working there right now. We had a drink, my buddy BF'd a girl he knows, and then we all went and had dinner. From the Patpong restaurant I could see girls dancing in doorways at several of the go-go bars. At about 1:30am, we said goodbye to our friends and walked home along Silom Rd.

I live here and go out almost every night, and other than a detour in our taxi ride and a few more police than usual, last night was just like a normal night out in Bangkok. My point of this boring post is it is still easy for a monger to come here and go out, find a nice woman (or three), and have a good time. Sure, there is a lot of political stuff happening at the moment, but it is highly unlikely that a farang would get caught up in it unless he went looking for something in the wrong place. If you come here on holiday and stick to the established play areas it is highly unlikely there will be a problem for you. Just don't book a hotel in Ratchaprasong or plan on shopping at Siam Paragon!

Myself? I'm heading over to Tulip this afternoon for a massage...:D

Steve

Steve being based in Hong Kong and enjoy traveling to both places and playing around so I think I can answer your question objectively.

In terms of cities/countries there is more to see and do in Thailand than the Phil. Thailand is a country on the way up while the phil is a country where the top 5% of graduates each year go off to become overseas workers.

Manila is a cheaper city than Bangkok. Equivalent hotels, food and drink are significantly cheaper. In fact a lot of us expats in Hong Kong complain about how expensive Thailand is getting. Part of the reason has to do with the economy getting better, part with repegging tourist prices to Euro's not dollars and part just because it is a great place to go.

Manila is a dump other than a few areas. If you go there you will pretty much want to stay somewhere in Makati and will hang out around the Greenbelt/Glorietta mall most of the time. The main place for girls is P. Burgos which is in Makati and Edsa Entertainment complex.

In terms of girls there are FAR more girls in Bangkok than Manila. I find Thai girls to be much more short time orientated and less gfe than phil girls. I attibute this both to fact phil culture is more similar to western culture and english being the language of education in the country. Phil girls tend to be more long time orientated and gfe like especially if you are not too old and have a couple of nickels to rub together.

In terms of prices for girls the "tip" to the girls are slightly lower in Manila than Bangkok but bar fines can be really steep. Of the 25 or so bars on Burgos the normal bar fine is P3,900, yes you read that right over US$85. In Nana/Cowboy you are looking at B600 or just under US$20. Edsa bar fines are P1,500 or US$35. Of course if you know what you are doing and get numbers you can get around paying bar fines in Manila.

If you want long time stays where you can play and joke around with the girl and have the girl talk in good english (and not be a hardened pro) than Manila (Makati) is better.

If you want to have multiple short times and for there to be some tourist things worth doing go to Thailand.

If minimizing cost is important to you than go to Pattaya instead of Bangkok, heck with the political issues going on I'd go to Pattaya anyways, in fact I just got back from spending a nice Easter bread there where I was fucked every which way.

Personally I prefer phil girls to thai for reasons I have mentioned so I tend to go there to play around but if I want a more rounded holiday I go to Thailand.

As a first timer in Asia I would recommend Thailand over the Phil as outside the Makati area (and a couple others) Manila is a tough city and a bit of a dump while being not nearly as tourist friendly as Thailand.

Forget about going to Angeles on your first trip to Asia. You should get your feet wet in this part of the world first.

Do not forget to have some fun in the fair city of Hong Kong while you are here. Skip Wan Chai as you'll be seeing thai or phil girls later in your trip but there are lots of places for chinese girls and most 141's are only HK$400 (US$50).

That's not entirely true. Yes, granted that from a tourist's POV not much has changed. Temples are still there, prostitutes all around and even MBK is open so you can buy your fake clothes, watches, movies & Software.

However, I disagree that Farangs will not get caught up. Some of us have businesses here and as peaceful as the Reds demonstrations are, many businesses are affected. Add to that what happened last year during songkran, the Airport incident and the economy crisis, wel, that's a lot to have to swallow and one has to have a very thick skin to cope.

Anyway, it sadly isn't business as usual for a lot of us here, times are tough and sometimes, I wonder if it would not be better to be in LOS just as a tourist... with no worries and a budget to be only spent on Condoms & Lube.

If this continues like this, many businesses will be closed and small business owners on their asses.

Ratchpasong area is still very busy with Red shirts but today, Amarin Plaza's Starbucks and Mc Donald are open... the mall is still closed, but you can come there, sit at starbucks and watch the Reds Go By.

I was talking with the owner of a small shop in Amarin Plaza and he pointed out that as his shop was closed since Saturday, that will be almost a week with no income and still a high rent to pay... if this continues on for another week, he might have to close for good. Sad.

Be careful.Fon Tok is right. Life is full of dangers.

The slippery bathroom floor has got me a couple of times, and boy did I get some paper cuts the last time I was in the stationery shop.

Got slapped by a WG in the street last year. Case of mistaken identity. She ended up giving me a freebie by way of apology.

The reality is that you gotta be really unlucky or just plain stupid to come to grief in Bangkok right now, or at any other time, come to think of it.

We are not targets in this political stand-off and the chances of it turning indiscriminately violent are just about nil. This sort of stuff happens here every few years for as long as I can remember. If you got any kind of street smarts, you're ok.

Put off your Bangkok plans if you don't want to take the risk, but if you are from a big North American, European or Australian city, you got much more chance getting beaten up right where you are.

Sad.Nic, thanks for the ex-pat businessman's perspective. I was responding to the Phuquer's post saying "postponing my trip for a couple of months to let things settle down."

I know the overall tourist business climate sucks. But, realistically, Thailand's tourism industry been sliding downhill since the 2004 Tsunami, the 2006 coup, the 2008 PAD airport takeover, the 2008-09 global economic downturn, and more recently by strength of the baht. What has the government done to protect this sector of the economy? Not much, except for a weak set of end user incentives and a lot of breaks for well-connected Thais.

There's an old, well known adage here for farang, "don't invest anything in Thailand that you cannot afford to lose." This applies to money, time and emotion. The place is a rat hole for money. Thais like it that way. Nic, I know you have a good deal here, (you've written about it many times), but you know this, too!

I don't like what's going on as much as the next guy. My neighborhood is a fcuking police state right now. It's crawling with the boys in brown. But, I still can go out and have a good time. That is the point I wanted to make to ISGers who may want to come here to visit and play. If mongers stay home because they are afraid of a bunch of Isaan yahoos waving flags, then the fun will end for all of us!

Today - I took my red shirt :) and went to the demonstrations, Rajprasong intersection.

First - I was the only red shirt in the Skytrain - the red shirts obviously prefer transport via pick-up truck. Obviously no environmentalists amongst them.

I left the Skytrain and expected chaos ... what a disappointment! Business as usual in the Skytrain station, a small number of red shirts, a normal busy Skytrain station. Went directly to Amarin Plaza, Starbucks - to recover from the stressful journey (3 Skytrain stations :) ).

After recovering I walked to the intersection. More people, but still not that quantity that I had expected. Busy agitation on the stage, and applauding demonstrants. Then breaks, and Thai music in between.

I checked out all directions: I came from Chidlom, walked down the road passing Hyatt Eriwan, the next to Siam Paragon and finally down to Pratunam. 100 to 200 m from the stage (the center of all activities) there were only a few groups of red shirts - very few people.

I positioned myself on the bridge from Gaysorn to Centralworld and counted a group of red shirts, trying to estimate the total number of demonstrants. In my POV there were not more than 5,000 (fivethousand) red shirts in that area. Let's triple the number to 15,000 - that's really the maximum. But a friend had told me before, that the number is not that big during the daytime, but in the evenings, when some Bangkokians come after work, the number is higher.

Anyway - I had not the impression to be on a demonstration that was anyhow important (Democracy, House Dissolution etc.). It was more a folk festival, lots of food, lots of street shops, music etc. etc. .

I did see a few guys from the police, I did not see a single soldier.

Now - that was not what I had expected. I have participated in much bigger demonstrations in my hometown.

Wondering if the Red Shirts will be there next week during Songkran. Don't the Thais go home to their villages/towns during that week?

Thank you for "taking one for the team" :)
Very good report and good to keep people informed about what happens.

Nice to see you actually do leave LL from time to time.. did you take your passport with you? :D

I have heard that many people from neighboring provinces will start to come down "en masse" tomorrow night. The Weekend might be a lot more crowded.

Many of the people (RED) I talk to say they will not go home, they can't.
They did that last year and the situation did not improve.
They will not make the same mistake this year (their words, not mine)

Also no reason to go home. It is a big party at Rajprasong. I was there on Sunday taking pictures. Pretty much the same route as Giotto other than Starbucks. They had guys guarding the stairs to the bridge between Gaysorn and Central but were happy enough to let me go up with my camera. Drought in Isaan. Party at Rajprasong. I don't expect them to go home unless the security forces get involved.

Good job Giotto.

This is what it normally looks like during a regular weekend day:

1 fruit market set up in front of Zen Central, opp IC.
2 two shots near MBK, just down the street

I'm considering cutting it off with a regular girl and looking for some advice

I've seen her about 7 or 8 times maybe, and she's only 6 years younger than me

Girl is amazing, sex is amazing, etc.

I pay her less than the going rate when she spends overnights with me, and she usually asks to stay more nights

I'd like to be able to just keep her as a regular and have a good time and leave it at that, but I'm finding myself falling for her and thinking about her constantly every day, and trying to read into her actions that she's really into me too

When I try to sleep with other girls I can't enjoy it as much b/c she pops into my mind

Obviously getting emotionally involved with a bargirl, who's almost assuredly playing 4 other guys the same way, will only lead to unpleasantness

I'm really not interested in being taken for a ride (had enough drama when I was younger), and would rather play it conservatively

Is this the time when you need to cut it off to keep yourself from getting into any kind of bad situations?

If you find that you are really enjoying classical Chinese music then you have been in China too long. Likewise with a bargirl, if you find yourself "falling" for her it is time to bail out.

Just my humble opinion

1. Stay mentally strong
2. If you aren't working here, get a plane ticket and go home and don't come back for awhile.
3. If not, make a accuse to go away and screw other as much as possible.
4. In your own words " Play it conservatively "

Get out of there..... Fast!

I can't understand the need to "Fall in love" with a bargirl, really don't. Maybe my brain works strange but I am always able to differentiate between a prostitute and a regular girl. Why let your Feelings get involved in a "Prostitute" situation? why not just stick to "you blow me, I pay you, see you next time"?

if you want to find a girlfriend, there are a lot of good girls (read: Non prostitutes) that are curious about having a Farang as a Boyfriend so maybe starting there is a good idea. Camfrog, TLL, DIA are good platforms for this.

Now if you are serious about it and going to use these platforms, make sure to always go for the Platinum membership. Ladies in my office (single or married) all look for Farangs on these sites and they don't even reply or give a second look to people other than Platinum members. Their logic: if the man cannot spend money for a normal membership, then he will not take care of me properly.

Now some of these girls are married, with kids, but they still love sex and especially with Foreigners because they are sure it will not develop into something serious. Their husbands fuck around, they know it and don't care, they do the same.
The one thing that surprises me the most is that they absolutely LOVE old men, I can't figure out why but everytime I have meetings with old Farangs, you see them all whispering and some ask afterwards who the man was...

When asked why they like old men, to them it is nothing wrong, they just want a man that is nice and treat them well.
So to all you old Farts out there... Thai Ladies are waiting for you!! Get your asses over here.

Have gone this route. These girls are basically bargirls without having the courage to actually work in a bar. They want phones, clothes and vacations instead of cash. Not sure what the advantage is here.

Thank you to everyone for all of your wonderful information regarding my first trip to Asia and whether to choose to visit Thailand or the Philippines. I was quite impressed by the quality and quantity of feedback. Both locations seem to have their supporters and everyone made a very good case. However, after reading through the responses, the general consensus that I get is that for a first time trip, Thailand is the better choice. I do enjoy good Thai food and having tourist options during the day. Safety for a single traveler also seems to weigh on the side of Thailand. However, the fact that the Philippines seem to be better for long term relationships and that English is more widely spoken, means that I ‘m looking forward to visiting there on a future trip.

Now that I have made up my mind for Thailand, I can start to finalize the details. I’ve decided to give myself eight nights in Thailand and cut my stay in Hong Kong by one day. This will allow me to spend four nights in Bangkok and four nights at Pattaya. I believe I will try the Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya since their website looks interesting . Their rates for basic rooms also seem very affordable and they advertise pickup from the Bangkok airport for only $42. I will be arriving on a late flight from Hong Kong and it will be nice to have pickup arranged. After my four nights I will have them return me to Bangkok and I will make reservations at either Majestic Suites or the Nana hotel which were recommended. Please let me know if this plan doesn’t sound feasible or if you would make other recommendations.

Once again, thank you everyone for your assistance. I’m looking forward to a memorable first trip to Asia.

Enjoy yourself !!

You quote "bar girls" but you are a "bar boy", you are a man who likes to pay for sex and butterflies around, so in her eyes you are the same as she is, for all your concerns about her, she has similar concerns about you.

You are both playing around, just remember that.

Some people think they are top notch handsome "any woman would marry me" material but in fact they are no better than the "bar girls" that they say have contempt for.

So enjoy it, enjoy the feelings, enjoy the closeness and the sex - just remember you play around and so does she and always keep that in your mind.

Nobody has the right to judge her, or you, on your past or attempt to repdict the future.

Keep in the right frame of mind and simply, enjoy it.

I think there are threads about how to tell if a bar girl is really into you, and wanting to turn it into a real relationship.

One thing I recall is telling her that you're out of money, and asking if she will loan you some.

You know what rabbit hole you're poking your head down into. If you can afford her, just keep having fun with her. Put her on a weekly rate and have her move in with you.

There are many women who you can really be into at the beginning, but you will be tired of them in a month. No need to do anything rash, just don't be stupid.

Strange how this theme recurs everywhere.

If I may.... may I C+P a post I wrote on the China threads as to my take about relationships with a WG. wish you the best!!

Actually.... Mian fei (free) sex is no big deal to them, for after all, they ARE in the business of giving away sex in exchange for $$!!

And the danger here is that we as mongers fall into these traps - deluding yourselves into thinking that since you've "contributed above and beyond the call of duty" that they see how great a guy you are/falls in love with you and in turn will be with you with true love and devotion. Well..... this ain't how this works!! LOL!! All it is, is that they've now gotten you convinced that this is the "real" thing.

OTH, I say that this is all fine and dandy IF you on your part realize that this is just par for the course. Go along with the fantasy of True Love and unselfish Devotion etc - but KNOW in your heart of heart that is nothing more than a nice, romantic step up from the usual " I fuck you, you give me money."

These kind of fantasies are great to really live through and experience - but always know its a fantasy. Smell the coffee - how old are you, how fat are you, how much hair have you got? Less than your wrinkles? And her - what? All of 19, 20 or 21? Looks good, smells nice and fucks you so well?? Yeah a match made in heaven and ....... $$$$$!!!!

And BTW - QQ!!!(a China messaging system) BAAAAADDDD idea!! All it is a just another means - a long distance means - for her to extract some more "$$Loving$$" from you!! And what do you get?? Computer sex?? What is that BTW - you stick your dick into the disc player or what??

Apologies!!! Apologize for perhaps pricking some guy's ego and/or thoughts about how macho they are/thus their gal really luv yu long time!! LOL!!
(Hey - I gotta write this out once a while to keep on reminding myself first and foremost!! So no brick-bats please!!)

That's true, but there's another method.

Evianist, when you can speak some Thai (even not fluently) and spend some time in a non-P4P environment, are polite, clean, and smiling, you will be soon chased by young middle-class women that are not prostitutes and who are charming, smart, educated, and have a regular job. A lot of them would like to have a Farang husband. Believe me, real gems can be found if you are looking for a serious relationship and have invested some time in learning the local language.

I know many mixed couples (Farang husband with a Thai wife) in Thailand. In many cases, it's obvious that the wife is a former prostitute. It does not mean that their relationship is doomed and only based on money, but it's the case more often than not. Fortunately, there are also some successful stories, but statistically, marrying a former prostitute is not such a good idea, at least, according to my own observations of my circle of friends.

At first, everybody does really believe that he has found a gem, but after living a few years (and sometimes only a few months) with an (usually) uneducated former prostitute on a daily basis, the poor guy would often realize that he made a big mistake. Even when his companion is not a bad girl, her friends and family will very likely tell her that she is stupid if she does not try to get as much money as she can from her Farang husband or boyfriend. She will be under constant pressure by her relatives who surely know several stories (usually true, but exaggerated) where other foreigners have given and are still giving so much more money to other Thai girls than what she gets. And for not losing face, she will very likely adjust her attitude but not for the best of her Farang boyfriend/husband's interests.

Before considering a life-long relationship with a Thai girl, especially if she is a (former) prostitute, IMHO, one should live on a daily basis at least one year and meet her friends and family. It doesn't prevent mistakes and wrong decisions, but at least, you will know a lot more than what you can observe during shorter sojourns and in another environment.

I think it is still ok here as long as you are not stupid

Very interesting. I arrived onthe 8th and went to pantip plaza. rather than waking all around i walked through the red shirt rally at 8 p.m. The rally was in full cry and people were cheering the speaker. 100K people apparently. Very busy. Walked through and although it took a long time and i was the only european I felt very safe. People smiled at me etc. but all was cool.

Went out in th evening to soi cowboy and nana and everything is fine. Some people shouting etc. but all good. had a great time. Would i put off coming here. No way. i'm english. This CURRRENTLY is not like an english protest where you gets a few idiots smashing up a bank etc. This is Thailand, all done with calm.

Could it change. Of course, but then dont go anywhere near the central shopping district. Sukhumvit is fine execpt soi 29 i think which is closed due to it being the PMs home.

Enjoy

It always is smart to be careful in Thailand, and especially Bangkok.

I have to say at this point, so far, it doesn't seem like this is getting through to you. Letting yourself get involved with this one is a bad idea. You just keep trying to rationalize it. I don't think I'm trying to convince anyone. If anything, I think I probably should cut it off.

Yes I am thinking about the girl too much. I said I'm doing OK so far because I'm not doing anything stupid like buying jewelry or a house in Isaan or thinking about marriage. I'm not even tipping the girl. I met her in early January and I went the entire month of February without seeing her. I currently haven't seen her in about 2 weeks, my choice. I'm not even suggesting I try to start a real romantic relationship with her. I'm just thinking about her too much.

My query was whether I should continue seeing the girl as a regular or cut it off. Cutting it off would suck b/c she's a great time at a reduced cost. Keeping her risks getting overly entangled.

I'm curious how other people manage their long-term regulars.

Why cut it off. You have good thing going and keep it that. But if you are not mentally strong enough, then cut off the relationship.

I have a regular I have been seeing for the last 8-9 years. She is great company, good GFE and extremely reasonable when it comes to money. She knows it and I know it, that it is just money. Once in a blue moon I will give her something extra, just because I feel guilty about not even keeping up with the rate increase over the last few years. It is still 1000B ST and 1500LT.

before considering a life-long relationship with a thai girl, especially if she is a (former) prostitute, imho, one should live on a daily basis at least one year and meet her friends and family. it doesn't prevent mistakes and wrong decisions, but at least, you will know a lot more than what you can observe during shorter sojourns and in another environment.extremely good post, and very true. i had one for two years. never took me for money, nor did her family. but too many personal problems, her own bar history, and of course peer pressure et al. these days, i have a slew of regulars who i probably put in the same boat as yours: they stay all night, i give them far less than the going rate, yet they repeat and repeat again. i am sure your gal does like you, even if it be with the thought that by treating you very well it may benefit her down the line. don't cut it off, it will cut itself off naturally. just keep going out enough to meet 3-4 others who come somewhat close to her and keep rotating them until they are replaced or burn out and fade away. trust me, you will be all the more happy for it in the long run!

I'm curious how other people manage their long-term regulars.

I manage perfectly fine but then again, she's not a hooker so ....

When dealing with a prostitute always remember:

You want to fuck (Dick), she wants money(Pocket)
You pay(Pocket), she spreads her legs(Pussy)
You blow your load (DICK), she kisses you and Goodbye (CHEEK)

Where does the HEART part come in? ;)

Keep the girl, fuck her, Pay her and move on.

Flew in from Dubai yesterday where I was working, and stopped off in Thailand for some sun & fun. I'll be spending 4 days in Bangkok, then going to Pattaya Beach for 5 days, before returning to the USA. Also, I know I am just diving in a few days and don't want to disturb the economic system that is in place, so let me know if my payments for services need to be refined. I do bargain and don't pay the initial asking price for services, but let me know if I'm off-base. I was using prices I found in this forum as my base of knowledge.

Started out last night early, went to Nana and it was dead! I was worried thinking that maybe the demonstrations had something to do with it, but then someone mentioned the Thai New Year is coming up and that's why it was empty. Everyone going home, so now I was pissed!

Headed to Soi Cowboy and was relieved. It was packed! My plan was to start off slow and relaxed, check out a few places, have a couple of beers, and just get situated. Started the night at Tilac Bar. And my plan eroded at first contact. Ended up bar-fining 2 hotties and went to the end of the street to a short time hotel that charged me 400 Baht (300 for the room and 100 extra guest charge for the extra girl). Girls were excellent service providers: Short time was 1000 Baht for each; both were interactive with me and themselves at all times, tried multiple positions. After finishing with one of the girls, they requested that we go again, and I finish with the other girl. I guess to just be fair. After we were done, we showered up and dropped the girls back at Tilac. I headed to the next place.

So now that I hand unloaded my gun, I though I could take the rest of the night at a relaxed pace. Until I walked into Baccara. The girls here seamed hotter than the girls in Tilac! I like the "naughty & nice" black and white outfits, so I decided I need one naughty girl and one nice girl to balance my time out. I started the evening with 2, so I guess I was just not satisfied going with one beauty at this place.

I also found the dance stage pretty cool (and packed), with it's see-through floor above it on the 2nd floor. I hooked up with 2 hotties here, bar-fined them both (600 Baht) and headed to the end of the street to get a cab back to my hotel. I stay at the Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit, kinda pricey, but because it's a great hotel, I'm a SPG Platinum member and it has a great "back-door" entrance that let's you skip the lobby when coming back with guests, and preventing the "walk of shame. " I ended up hanging out with both Long time for 2000 Baht each and they spent the night. Again, good service providers, finished with both, both last night and this morning. I gave each a 500 Baht tip.

So my run down of the evening cost me around 12, 000 Baht for beers, girl's drinks, barfines, girls, taxis and short time room. I have spent more than that in one dinner in Dubai.

OK, so now that I have it out of my system. Tonight I'll try to keep a more relaxed and slower pace. Does anyone have any suggestions for places I can try tonight? I'm going to chill-out pool-side this afternoon, buy some jewelry early evening, then go out again tonight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm curious how other people manage their long-term regulars.I'm new to this forum, but shouldn't these posts belong in the "Thai Women and Relationships" section? I come to the "Bangkok Reports" section for reports on Bangkok, not some guy that can't manage his heart and *****s.

Maybe its because they know they are undesirable to younger men. Lets face it, a thai girl over 25yo, especially married or with kids is not in high demand, and pretty much past her prime. They know that the older nicer guys are the only ones they have a shot with.

I agree, older foreign men can clean this market up if they desire.

LOL. Looks like your skin is thin, I'll go easy on you. I just joined the forum yesterday, so I'm a nOOb, and haven't posted 100+ like yourself, but give me time.

I wasn't really looking for any feed back on my night last night, that's in the past, been there, done that. Regards, FrimuNot sure about Nana, when I went there it was dead, so I moved on to Soi Cowboy. I paid a LT charge of 2000 baht. They started at 3000, but worked it to 2000 after I told them I wouldn't bar fine them and started staring off, doing the "GoGo Bar search" looking for other girls.

I'll make another go at Nana tonight, but I think with the military crack-down that's going on today, everywhere might be dead.

Q, re your barfines in Baccara, was it 600 bht for both, or for each?

The reason I am asking this time, last year it was 600 bht bar fine plus 2000 bht short time, or 4000 bht L/T.

Many of the girls there were only interested in short time at 2000bht.

I wonder in Lilac if the 2 girls accepted 2000 for both /st, as it was a double booking?

In nana and soi cow boy this time last year, it was 2000 st or 4000 lt for each girl + the bar fine.

How about prices for lady drinks?

Your report very handy for me on prices, as I am landing there in 2 weeks time.

To anyone who is there in BKK now, what's Sukhumvit like at the moment? Apparently all hell's broken loose down in Khao San Road area tonight (and I mean actually IN ksr, not just near it) with some fatalaties, including a Reuters photographer killed.

I'd heard there was a confrontation today on lower Suk itself but not sure what status is, or if the area's been cleared by now.

What are Nana and SC like tonight?

FYI, there's reports of bombs being thrown by redshirts today, and also of them opening fire with guns (saw one mention of one having an AK47).

Just be careful. Might be a good night to stay in the hotel.

Early this afternoon I walked from Silom over to Siam, and then followed a moving crowd of 'red shirt' guards up to Phloenchit. I was at the Phloenchit BTS Station at about 3:00pm when I saw and photographed a lot of pushing and posturing at one point by both sides, but then the police riot brigade pulled back and regrouped. Generally, it felt half serious as there were more than a few smiles. But it was very hot, the police were getting tired in their riot gear, and the brass were looking on. The 'red shirts' were not giving an inch. Sounds like the order was given by the Police and Army to kick some ass a little later on.

Along Phloenchit, there was a helicopter hovering overhead and an unmanned drone with a VDO cam. The drone got a lot of attention!

I ran out of memory space for my cameras, and the BTS was closed, so I walked up to Sukhumvit Soi 7 and caught a taxi up to Soi 22. Tired and hot from the day, I went for a massage at a Washington Square shop called Wonderful Massage (next to Sazanka). The little gal there gave me a nice shower, a good back rub, and then screwed my tired brains out. She told me it was her first day and I was her first customer! OK, it worked for me.

After the massage, I stopped by the Bourbon Street restaurant for a tasty plate of fajitas and a couple of Beer Laos. The food was great!

I saw pickup truck loads of red shirts heading back down Sukhumvit when I caught a taxi home to Silom. I stopped in Patpong for a beer and to collect my GF, (she was playing dominoes for money all day). I also poked my head in the Safari Bar to say hello to a dancer there. Looked like business as usual in Patpong tonight.

Wendella,

Officially 9 dead, 500 injured. The numbers are still rising. I just heard 11 dead (not officially confirmed).

Truce at the moment, some talks between Government and UDD.

I heard the rumours about Khao San Road, too, but it was never confirmed.

A Reuters cameraman, Japanese, was killed.

The upper Sukhumvit area is quiet, business as usual, in Soi 31 is are 3 trucks with policemen, doing nothing (villa of the prime minister). I am not sure about the lower Sukhumvit, but I expect it to be quiet there, too.

There are rumours right now, that the riots are not over. The police / army seam to re-group.

It's right now Sunday, 11.04.2010, 1 am .

Only the King can put a stop to this. Both parties are just thinking about their agendas and don't seem to care who gets killed or hurt by any of this. I'm afraid that things will only get worse in the coming days unless calmer heads prevail. Right now it just seems like they are regrouping for another battle.

As I said before, and this goes to all of us who are on the ground in Bangkok (or Thailand in general), be careful.

I'm not telling anybody to cancel their trip. And yes, you can get hurt or killed anywhere. But right now, Thailand is not the most secure place to be.

The pussy is still available. Always has been, always will be. But you have to watch your back when you walk down the streets now. Especially if you are like me who likes to explore other areas in BKK, not just Lower Suk and Silom. In the past, I have never had to worry about a riot erupting, gunshots, or car bombs exploding next to the massage parlor I happen to like. If I were in Thailand right now, these things would be on my mind.

Best wishes to all on the ground in Thailand, and be safe.

I fly into Bangkok on April 24th, with plans to immediately head to Pattaya for a week. I do have a 5-day reservation at the President Solitaire in Bangkok beginning May 1st, and I'm thinking I might just blow this off and head to Siem Reap and Angkor for a few days instead, before winding things up in Chiang Mai for 4 days. I get the impression that these protests are generally limited to Bangkok. Is this true? My feeling is that as long as the Bangkok airport is open, there is no reason to cancel my trip entirely.

Be warned that at times you get to see things you might not want, like last night when the brought some of the killed people on to the stage to show the world and prevent a "media" cover up from happening.

Avoid the following areas:

- Democracy Monument / Khao San Road / Khok Wua Intersection
- Phan Fa Bridge / Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge
- Rajprasong Intersection / Chidlom / Ploenchit

It's quiet right now, but is has not changed much since last night. Red shirts and police/soldiers still on the streets.

What will be open during songkran?

Gogos? Massage parlours?

Where is good to celebrate songkran other than Khao San?

Dear Giotto, thanks for the very good, accurate and updated report. The News here in Europe are full with the bad News (as usual here). My next trip to Thailand including Bangkok is scheduled for the next weekend and no chance to change it due to several reasons. I trust all will be OK or at least more quiet; however, I have some concerns, but of course I will try to avoid the risk areas. Anyway Bangkok is my lovely city and my destination for this next trip for at least 10 days. I will check on the spot the “real” situation and choose other options there in Thailand (for sure there are others options in this wonderful country). By the way, how many people died every day in USA or other capital cities in Europe due to crimes, drugs or very simple due to racisms or people with mental diseases?
Please keep us updated if you are located there in Bangkok. All the Best for the nice people there in this nice country (or can someone give me a better option to travel???)

Dude, Thailand is a small country, and this thing is pretty big...I don't mind getting there and being safe, only thing i would worry is if they shut down the airport...the nightmare would begin again.

Do you have a plan to stay afloat if they closed down the airport..good luck

There is one cardinal rule in travel: avoid areas in violent political strife.

Everyone can do as they like, but as of right now, I would strongly advise anyone due to arrive in Thailand to avoid Bangkok. For those scheduled to arrive shortly and who cannot change their travel plans, it’s simple, head straight for Pattaya, the islands, Chiang Mai, Cambodia, Burma, or PI. All the violence and street confrontations are in a few specific areas of BKK while other areas may be business as usual. But the violence may spill over to the calm areas at any time and the inconvenience alone (sky train and high end shopping malls shut down for example) should convince you that BKK is not the place to be right now.

So while Bangkok is fucked up, outside the city it is calm and peaceful. Just keep in mind that as long as you are in Thailand, things might get really bad and then the airport will be closed. So have a backup plan to either wait it out somewhere peaceful or escape through a back door to Cambodia or Malaysia if the worst should occur. And continuously check for updates on the situation.

I really hope things get better soon, but I can’t help but think the situation is likely to deteriorate further. Both sides feel that their backs are up against the wall.

Still, what are they fighting for? The PM has already agreed to new elections some time in 2011 at which time the red shirts will most likely prevail. The only question remaining is what about the military? What do they want?

A very good updated report.
The reason I am asking this time, last year it was 600 bht bar fine plus 2000 bht short time, or 4000 bht L/T.

Many of the girls there were only interested in short time at 2000bht.

In nana and soi cow boy this time last year, it was 2000 st or 4000 lt for each girl + the bar fine.

Man you need to seriuously re-evaluate your rates.

I don't want to sound like a cheap charlie (because I am definietly not), but although I am very clean and good looking, I am overweight and still manage to get stunners for 2,500 LT + 500 tip and they usually leave with a satisfied genuine smile the next morning and come back with enthousiam they next time I see them or call them. If not stunners, 2,000 + 500 LT is my average, or 1,000 to 1,500 for ST.

4,000 LT and 2,000 ST should be the MAX you would be willing to pay. Some "escorts" dare to charge 10,000 LT because there are many one-time tourists who simply don't know the value of the baht in thailand. Don't be one of the few suckers.

90% of the time I can score 1500 ST or less at any bar in Cowboy or Nana. But they will never open up with that price. You got to negotiate. You should aim for this rate as well.

The 2000 ST that these girls try to get is just plain ridiculous!

A very good updated report.

Your report very handy for me on prices, as I am landing there in 2 weeks time.Bar fines were 600 Baht per girl for each bar.

Girl's drinks were 150 Baht. I buy a girl one if I'm interested, but don't buy many. Also, I'll have a beer or two, but I'm there to bang, not to get hammered.

I suggest that you negotiate with the girls prior to leaving the bar, that way you can always look to move on to other girls if they don't budge on their asking price during negotiations. Once you move from the bar back to the hotel room, you're negotiating from a positioned of weakness. Also, I don't tip. I negotiate a price for services and stick to it, if they mention a tip and say they need cab fare, I offer them 40 Baht, and generally they laugh, if they don't, too bad.

The girls in Tilac opened with 2000 Baht each for short time, I countered with 1000 baht each, they took it. The Girls in Baccara asked 4000 Baht for each, I negotiated it to 2000 Baht each. There they were a bit tougher in their negotiations, I actually had to walk away and talk with another girl before they agreed to 2000 each.

One thing to remember, there are more girls here than guys wanting to hire them, you are in the driver's seat. In the real estate business, they call that a "buyer's market."

I was out and about today, staying along Sukhumvit, from Emporium down to Soi 3, 13:30 to 22:30. A few red shirts drove past, but otherwise, very QUIET. Not that much traffic on the street, either auto or foot. Actually pretty easy to get around, except the skytrain only came as far as Asoke (from On Nut).

Soi 7 Bier Garten just fine (writing report), Morning Night bar overlooking Soi 4 just fine, looked like any number of bg's WERE showing up for work :)

Later on, up at Soi Cowboy: little less foot traffic, but the bars certainly going full bore... Do like Tilac.

Supermarkets open, some shops closed, but it was Sunday. The trip wire for me is the sidewalk vendors - when I don't see them (except for street cleaning day), then I know I'll head elsewhere. But they were all out today, if a little subdued in their pestering.

Now, I did stay away from Chidlom and Central World, that area, and I have no interest in the Khan San area...

Mr Jetsetter: I would not cancel your hotel reservation. Your hotel is in the golden rectangle of Nana (though dead to me, but NOT due to the disturbances), Bier Garten, Soi Cowboy, and the MP's around Soi's 24-26, and the only redshirts I've seen here are heading towards Central World.

Don't know about the subway, so don't know if Patpong is cut off - only real reason to go there is SOL anyway.

But in this area, keep your eyes open, both for trouble and for cute girls.

Common sense goes a LONG way... The only thing I'd worry about is if they close the airport, but there are several military/police checkpoints along the way (allow extra time). The only question would be if the checkpoints are manned by watermelons: green on the outside, red on the inside.

If I had a ticket, I'd come. If I didn't have a ticket, I MIGHT delay. And if you're stupid enough to go into the areas where BOTH opposing groups are armed, then you do take a risk. Things there can ESCALATE/DEGRADE QUICKLY.

But so far, Sukhumvit seems OK, though things can change.

And I agree, if the King made a statement, things would end. He does carry that much authority with the people. Questions really begin when he's not around any more...

Sunday, skytrain only running as far as Soi Asoke, so got off there. Decided I'd walk down to Bier Garten, SLOWLY. Not that much traffic, either auto and foot, on Sukhumvit. Quiet.

Bier Garten pretty sparse at 2pm, but there was one that attracted my attention. Attracted, but didn't catch; cute face, couldn't tell about the rack, so wasn't compelling enough TODAY. But the face was certainly attractive.

Figured I'd give it an hour, then... Annie's was closest, and there were several there on my to-do list. On the other hand, the Soi 24-26 cluster: Mango, Snow White, maybe Sazanka, or maybe try one of the others in Washington square. And there was always Tulip 1 stop up...

About 3pm, decided to leave Annie's for another day, and head to the Soi 24-26 Cluster. Just then, an attractive girl walked in and sat down directly behind a pillar (of course) so totally lost sight of her. Waited a bit to see if she'd move around; of course, she didn't.

So the mountain would have to go to mo... Paid my bill, and took the LONG way out. As I passed, got a nice smile, so stopped to chat. Nice rack (bit of sag so knew legit), older but far from dragon material; that was just what I was looking for today. Some nice, easy marketing, nothing pushy, which I appreciated. Leaned in close, checked the menu, all in order, 2 shots, pay after (OK, so KL was still casting its shadow on me...)

I mentioned we'd go to the Penthouse Hotel, but she preferred the Playboy - said it was cleaner, bigger room. Fine by me. What was a surprise is she asked if I wanted to walk - damn, I might need to check this girl's passport, make sure she's Thai. Also gave the option of a motorbike taxi (figured that was an implied *2, but you never know), but I stayed with the taxi option - I'd leave the exertions for later. Walked over to Soi 9 via the Park's parking lot, didn't have long to wait for a taxi.

Several differences between the Penthouse and the Playboy: Penthouse rooms are underground, in the basement. So as soon as the taxi pulls in, you are hidden from the street.
Playboy's rooms are ground level, so you are not hidden from the street.

Penthouse basement rooms can have poor/no cell phone signal.
Playboy rooms get a signal.
When we got to the Playboy, we stood around waiting for the attendant. Unlike the Penthouse, standing around is in plain view of the street. Eventually she gave up, and asked at the front desk. Just about then, here comes Mr. Attendant on his bike. Same price as Penthouse: 310 baht for 2 hours.

Rooms at the Playboy seem a little "fresher", that just because they're ground level, so when opened up, they will get some fresh air rather than exhaust. "Our" room had a round bed (I couldn't care less), wall mirrors (though the Penthouse had more mirrors, closer, so maybe the rooms are smaller ;) ). One thing that the Playboy had that the Penthouse didn't was a sex chair. She could lay in it, and you could comfortably stand while probing her attributes.

Bathrooms similar, though the Playboy gives you 2 bars of "hotel-small" soap. Penthouse had an obvious flash water heater, Playboy didn't, but the water was hot enough.

Nice shower before retiring to the round bed (my heart was all a-flutter, but that wasn't due to the shape of the bed - her shape very pleasing). Services delivered, no problem, standard package: DFK, bbbj cim, DATY, FS, with a short massage before, and another short massage between rounds.

The only real problem was the combination of my UNDERestimation of myself and her appeal, along with her professionalism. One of the attractions she had mentioned at the BG7 was that 2, even 3 hours would not be a problem, giving me whatever time was needed to recharge the batteries, as it were. Damn, the truth hurts. The SHAME of it was, not the case. She was appealing enough that the specified 2 shots were away downrange before even 90 minutes were up. I was thinking there might even be the chance for that elusive third, but having fulfilled the given contract, she was showered and starting to dress, asking me what time I'd be departing the room...

Writing on that wall clear... She made no bones about it, she wanted to return to the BG7, look for another score before heading home. Not worth it to beg, so just got dressed myself. But certainly if there ever is a next time, I'm being the optimist and asking for 3 up front. :)

I walked over to the Morning Night bar on Soi 4, the one just before Nana Plaza. Saw a couple of attractions there. Granted, not as many as the BG7, it is a much smaller bar, but still, might be worth a look. No real stunners, but a couple who certainly were easy on the eye, friendly, with some good marketing. Unfortunately, by now I was deaf, and I'm not taking about my ears...

Later on, moved up to Soi Cowboy, couple of beers outside of Live Music, then shift right 2 to Tilac. Too hot to enjoy sitting outside there (no fan), so moved in to enjoy the entertainment. It was entertaining...

Point of the FR: business as usual. Unfortunately, you don't get THAT on the news reports...

All,

I get a lot of questions, E-Mails, PMs at the moment, guests asking about whether to travel to Thailand or not, and what I think will most likely happen next.

What will happen next:

There is a 99 % chance for a small/medium stock market crash tomorrow here in Thailand :).

There is a high chance that the PM will resign within the next few days, and the House will be resolved. General elections will be called, the red shirts will celebrate their victory and return to their homes.

The chance of a military coup is slim, because the army is devided.

The chance that the red shirts will move to the airport is very very slim, the red shirts will not make the same mistake as the yellow shirts did, and there is no necessity to do so either. They have nearly won the battle. And - they already have their airport - Rajprasong intersection.

If tourists come to Bangkok right now they should not encounter any problems, if they keep out of the mentioned problem areas:

- Democracy Monument / Khao San Road / Khok Wua Intersection
- Phan Fa Bridge / Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge
- Rajprasong Intersection / Chidlom / Ploenchit

Stay out of these areas! It looks peaceful, but things can change within seconds (watch the videos in the Politics Thread)!

Keep yourself informed whether the red shirts are moving their demonstration sites - but I think it is quite unlikely that this will happen.

If you come because of Songkran go to Sukhothai, Ayutthaya etc., Sonkran is anyway not that special here in Bangkok.

Nic, thanks for the ex-pat businessman's perspective.

If mongers stay home because they are afraid of a bunch of Isaan yahoos waving flags, then the fun will end for all of us!I cant understand but until today and against my local currency (Swiss Franc) The Thai Baht is still strong and wonder why? is this due to my local currency? or no consequences from all these events NOW in Thailand, why not a Thailand crisis even if less tourist there? The value of the Thai Baht does not seem to be affected by the political turmoil. The local stock market is more subject to variations, but the local currency not much. I can't explain why, but that's what I've observed during the past years.

I've had a look through the search facility but can't seem to find any details of where you can buy sex toys in Bangkok.Sex toys (and porn) are illegal to sell in LOS.

You might find some disguised ones at a street stall, but the best bet is to bring them with you as this is apparently allowed, or at least ignored.

If you snoop around Pantip Plaza until the guys selling black market naughty DVD's contact you they might be able to find you something

Thai markets do sell an amazing variety of fruits and veggies, though.

i made my first visit to [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s about 9:30 am on a weekday morning in mid january 2010.

i walked past the sub soi accidently and i heard the old handsum man line called out by one of the girls who then followed with a wave, (they have a really keen eye). i was greeted by about six ladies sitting outside with a huge welcome grin from about two of the older and more experienced ones. interestingly enough, the one who motioned me (sitting in the first/far left chair) to come over pointed to one of the girls and said she was very good. instead i quickly chose a cute and small young thing and proceeded inside. i wanted to get an adult beverage but as we walked passed the bar i realized this was a pay as you exit establishment. we didn't speak a word except when i said owww when i bumped my head going up the stairs. i was staring at her ass. i think her english skills were zero and i didn't try to speak any of my limited thai with her. she showed me into a booth and after returning her kit i realized this girl couldn't have been older than 21. so after removing my pants she did the whole clean up thing on me and with out saying one word she started right in. now, i have had more than a few killer blowjobs before and they were mostly a prelude to full on sex but this girl had one thing on here mind and it wasn't a blowie that was leading to fs sex. plenty of lubricating spit and great hand action and an apparent and deep desire to finish the job as quickly as possible. she stopped once to wipe the saliva that was dripping down my balls and picked off right where she left off. i really could have sat there for hours but that wasn't going to happen.

she stopped again after about five minutes to look at me with the bewildered look like i should have been finished by now. i gave her a thumbs up sign and she started again with a slightly faster pace that made me empty my marbles into her welcoming mouth and she made sure she got every drop. what a good little girl. she spit my cock custard into the tissue, smiled and left. now for all the mongers who said the girls are never that pretty or have a great body, i beg to differ. i would have taken her st in a second. i lasted 10 minutes tops.

she led me downstairs where i squared up and told the mamasan she's very very good. i tipped her the 300 baht mamasan returned to me, (hey i was on a holiday and she deserved every bit of it). so a total of 15 minutes, 1000 baht and a new experience to share, i was quite happy. i walked to a bar who hosts a popular website and is popular with many expats. (can i mention the big mango?)

i ordered a beer and burger and tried to get my legs back beneath me. i made some small talk with the owner and commented that i just came from [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s. he said i didn't happen to have the "[CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s eyes" he was used to seeing on many that have just been there. i confessed i needed to take a break before i arrived.

my only ***** is that i wished they had number badges on the girls because when i returned to [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s after my lunch i couldn't recognize the girl i had previously taken, i tried looking at the top of their heads too. so, now a 'seasoned' veteran i chose another girl and we stopped at the bar where we had a really quick drink while i felt her up a little. she grabbed my crotch to find i was already harder than chinese arithmetic and said let's go! same same upstairs but i didn't hit my head this time. now she had incredible tongue action and great eye contact. i seemed to unload an even bigger dose of batter this time and after the spit out she said she needed "oxygen". i was pretty fucking proud of myself.

overall [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s provides an excellent service. i wish they only allowed a wee bit more leg room in the booths. i can't wait to return on my next trip.

remember, it it flies, floats or fucks. rent it.

Ever since Thaksin Shinawatra's Government was forced from office, the Thai Government has been slowly and quietly "fixing" their currency. Similar to the Chinese Government, they intentionally keep the value of Thai Baht artificially low against western currencies. It's not a game or a joke.Low? Do you mean high?

In 2001 the baht was 43 to 1 USD, it's now 30 baht to 1 USD. That means the baht is more valuable now than it was 9 yrs ago (think of it this way: 1000 baht buys more USD than it used to). I think it is following the same trend with other western currencies. I dont' know anything about whether it's being deliberately kept there by someone or not. Who has the power to do that in Thailand?

i laughed when i read your report because i recently went to [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s for the first time, too. my girl's name was nit. chubby but had the biggest tits of the bunch and that's what i'm into. damn, she's good. deep throat, ball sucking, rim job, bbbjcim, what more could a guy want? no photos, however. well, she really wasn't that pretty anyway. gave me a nice shoulder and neck massage afterward, though. i went back to see her two more times and every time was great. guys, [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s is on soi 8 right up the street from stable lodge where i stayed. nice hotel. both hotel and [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s very good bargain and very comfortable. i highly recommend them both.

Thai markets do sell an amazing variety of fruits and veggies, though.Surely this can't be true?! For a country such as Thailand you cannot buy sex toys easily - this seems like madness!

. And what about shopping in all these shopping center like Childom Paragon etc are they going to have Sales? And the go go girls in the bars too. My hotel is requesting now the same price as before (?)A friend and I were discussing this today and we have come to the conclusion that in Thailand and some other SEA countries, they seem to decide to raise prices/rates when business is slow, to offset the shortfall, or at least maintain them at their current levels. I don't understand the logic, I'd rather get a sale done, albeit at a smaller profit, than have an item sitting around gathering dust, whether it is pussy, hotel rooms, whatever.

Low? Do you mean high?

In 2001 the baht was 43 to 1 USD, it's now 30 baht to 1 USD. That means the baht is more valuable now than it was 9 yrs ago (think of it this way: 1000 baht buys more USD than it used to). I think it is following the same trend with other western currencies. I dont' know anything about whether it's being deliberately kept there by someone or not. Who has the power to do that in Thailand?Yes I meant high. As to who has the power to that in Thailand - my best guess would be high level officials responsible for monetary policy and administration in Thailand. For the same reasons the Chinese Government do it.

For the same reasons the Chinese Government do it.Not sure why they would do that since it makes exports more expensive for other countries, so it harms trade. Im' sure some armchair economists here can tell us why they'd want to keep it high.

About who can do it, if you're guessing then your point is based on speculation. I honestly don't have a clue who handles such things in Thailand, or if the currency value is based on free market exchange rates or if it's set and controlled by someone. Someone here must know. But I think it's not the kind of assumption we should be making based on a guess. We know the Chinese do that, but we don't seem to know that Thailand does. Mabye they do. I'm just saying, so far nobody here is confirming or denying it.

Just looking for some tips on where to buy some cheap clothing in BKK? I have been to MBK so far and that place is HUGE. Although they seem to mainly have just t-shirts and polo's / jeans. Anywhere else people like to shop at?

The Songkran festivities have started today on Silom Road.

If you are the type pf person with a bit of kid in them, who enjoys a wild time, and doesn't mind getting wet and lathered in white chalk...come on down!

Lots of pretty ladies, too, having a good time. Come get wet with your favorite bar girls and go-go dancers!

And, if you don't like Songkran, that's OK, too...there's always TV.

In many ways it's still a very conservative one, with all kinds of rules to try to enforce 'proper' behavior. I mean, what other country allows alcohol but forbids its sale before 11 am. and between 2 and 5 pm?

Booey,

This topic has been talked about in the past and will continue to be a topic of discussion in the future. It has been applied to P4P to the Beer we drink. When times are bad they rise the prices it beats the hell out of us, where we were taught the opposite. Right now times are tough and for example on one street there are dozens of Thai massages places all charging 150/200 baht a hour for Thai massage and 150 for Foot massage. The place I go to has dropped their fee to 100 baht a hour and ask the ladies to take less but they will have more customers and possible tips to make up the difference instead of everyone just sitting around and making barely nothing. They have also dropped their Foot massage to 100 baht. They were making a killing and the ladies weren't getting rest. Now they reverse course and raise the prices again? Business was too good? At least they compromise somewhat and the Thai massage is 120 per hour but the Foot is back to 150 per hour. The lady says Foot is more expensive to her since they have to use that cream.

Wendella,

I remember when the baht was a 43? Their names are so long that it's impossible to remember but during that period I read in the Bangkok Post Business that some economics adviser suggested that they fix the exchange rate at 37, I was all for that since it would be a compromise to the 25/1 that it once was and the high of 43/1! not wanting to be greedy! Today look at it!

The guy that is responsible, I sure you have seen him in the papers and on the tube? Talk Thin guy with wire frame glasses I think is the the guy? Maybe others can verify or deny that? Yes there has been lots of talk that Thailand is controling the currency to their advantage that as long as their economy is still rolling and foreign investor are still coming in etc.... they aren't going to weaken their baht. Others official has criticize this approach!

Don't jump on me, just my opinion as to what I have read in the past and heard. No proof of anything your right before someone else says it!

Bar fines were 600 Baht per girl for each bar.

In the real estate business, they call that a "buyer's market."Thank you for your reply.

The girls that I had in mind were the hot ones from the top clubs, such as baccara and tilac, as well as spice girls and suzy wong.

I didn't take out any girl from the above. I was under the impression that these prices were the going rates, since they were quoted by veteran members on another board.

The max price I paid in Bangkok was 1000 bht ST, but it wasn; t from Go Go clubs.

You got it, Eric!

Wendella and others shouldn't be criticizing the Thai government for how they're managing their currency, the problem is in the US/UK/Europe, and how they have managed theirs.

I pulled out an old file from my first trip to SEA in 2002. Vs. Canadian dollars:

Thai Bhat: 2002: 28, today 32
US dollars: 2002: 0.64, today 1.00
UK pounds: 2002: .41, today .65
Euros: 2002: .64, today .73

So the bhat is the more stable, for some of us.

Yeah I figured that.... no biggie. My feathers are fine.

I guess my take on it, without being an expert, is that it's not too fair for countries to manipulate their exchange rates artificially. The free market handles that just fine. To me it seems to be about the same as price fixing, when airlines make a secret deal to set fares above what the market rate would normally be, or if gas companies don't pass on the drop in oil prices they pay to consumers but keep gas prices high regardless. It does seem like a kind of cheating to me.

Every country manipulates the value of their currency. The only variables are to what extent and how blatantly they do it.

At the risk of being presumptuous I believe most members are as uninterested in your lack of knowledge in currency fluctuations, IN THIS SECTION, as I.OK, let us come back to pussies (and the associated costs).

If the price of a massage is set too high, we will go some where else. If it is too low, the palour will not be able to cope with the number of customers and they will have to raise prices. Thai, American, Australian, or even Chinese massage palours cannot just set prices arbitrarily. If the Australian price for a massage goes up and down a lot, it may be because the cost for extras is going down and up a lot. (This is an analogy, so don't quote me!) Things tend to balance out.

I have been enjoying pussies all over the world for thirty years and the prices stay the same, more or less. But the total cost keeps lowering, when you include airfares, hotels etc. Going to the next town used to be a once-a-life-time thing. Now I just fly to from Melbourne to Bangkok or Shenzhen using Air Asia for naughty weekends for around US$450. Can't complain. Giggling all the way to my pussies.

Normally wouldn't bother, and BKK residents can skip. But for those not here:

Day after Songkran finished, stopped by Soi 7 Bier Garten around 3pm for an hour. Given that the number of girls was reduced, heavy on the "male" side, but still, several cute ones around to catch the eye. Amazing how they can make eye contact from across the room :) 20/20 vision must be a job prerequisite.

For a change, stepped out to Foodland for a late lunch. Came back for another hour at 5pm. Now, more populated, both male AND female. One cutie at the end of the bar had a lot of suitors, but no nuptials; she was still there when I left.

Nothing that exceeded MY threshold, so hiked down to Annie's. OK, only a couple of soi's, but by the time I got there, judging by my shirt and shorts, it would have appeared that Songkran had been extended by a day (hadn't, just my built-in cooling mechanism working OVERTIME).

Reduced selection (especially the fishbowl sideliners - contradiction in terms until you see for yourself), but enough of a selection for ME (OK, I'm old, only need 1 that exceeds my go/no-go threshold), and a VERY enjoyable 2 hours. She took longer in the tub, no doubt my "drenched" condition very much evident.

I also had to venture down to Siam Square to pick up something from the Hard Rock for a buddy. About 9pm. Skytrain running "full route". Things seemed a bit grim there, from both sides: Passed a ground floor, large window Thai/foot massage place (you know the type that is at legit as 1 can be in Thailand). No customers inside, at least 15 masseuses outside, frantically waving at me. They seemed desperate, and I felt sorry for them. Their business must have plummeted. Just skirted the edges of the red lines. It was a day of "rest", as reported in the BKK post. People I saw seemed glum but determined. Serious comes to mind, as in "not to be budged".But remember, that's ONE area, easily avoided.

Afterwards, stopped by Soi Cowboy's Tilac. Again, reduced numbers of employees, but certainly some beauties (rapidly disappearing out the door) present. Watching the Soi Cowboy nightly parade, again, bit reduced (those buses do run slow from Isanland), but I'd say, if you were inclined for company, it could be readily found.

Point is, yes, there are problems here, and it could get worse. But life, and business, goes on. Number of females sure to increase at the usual venues as they come back from the holidays, no doubt eager for business as the "obligations" of returning home have depleted THEIR wallets.

I think some new talent (or lack of) will be available this month at Thermae. Many many many girls working at Ratchaprasong Area (Central World, Paragon, Amarin, Gaysorn...) will have families to feed and bills/rent to pay.

I know of a lady that is in deep shit because she works at Central World, usually is paid per day worked and this month will receive only about 6 days pay (25% of her salary). She does not know what to do because she has 2 kids (no husband) and her mother at home. Yes, I gave money but I can imagine the number of Girls that will be left out in that same condition.... Where could they make 5/10k quickly without having to open the wet cave?

Once again, found myself at the Soi 7 Biergarten this afternoon. Actually seemed like there were less females than yesterday, but that might be an illusion/delusion. Did spot a few (by now) familiar faces. Actually saw Miss Royalty, who had spurned so many suitors yesterday, get pulled today. Seems she is very selective, no doubt higher maintenance, low mileage on the equipment her goal. Must work for her... she was back in 90 minutes...

Bumped into a couple of gregarious Brits, so found myself a bit distracted from the surveillance mode. Couple of times saw a nice pair pass by out of the corner of my eye, only to not know where they went by the time I turned around.

Decision time, decided to try a chance on Maturity, a lady I'd spotted yesterday but couldn't quite decide if I wanted or not, so eventually didn't. Now, I'm not saying she's a dragon, but if she was a milk carton in the fridge, you WOULDN'T be chugging out of it, but rather be taking a SMALL sip to test, so close to that expiration date.

Actually thought I'd missed my chance again, as while I was talking, she got swept up, QUICK negotiation, and out the door. But she was back within the hour, so it's either experience or disaster...

On her return, she was close enough to engage in conversation. And that's where the fantasy collided with reality... Smoker's teeth, as in 3rd world smoker's teeth. Shame, because when she smiled, you just wanted to say "Please don't". Of course, it did take me a bit of time to work up to the face as the cleavage was legit. Asked where she was from, she replied "Hong Kong". OK, maybe that was meant as a joke, but it was said seriously, or at least without a smile, which I was glad of (see above). Turns out she's 50/50, but PRC is not an unknown attribute to me. "3rd strike you're out" was when I gave the oral questionnaire - bbbj ok, but cim... the grimace, combined with the "how much you pay [extra]" did it for me. Could be VERY wrong, but I had the feeling that her forte was "quick", not "nasty". Or maybe given the earlier success, she could be a bit more picky...Wished her good luck, and threw it into reverse. Other places to be, so left. Nice thing about the Bier Garten, a new cast tomorrow.

No do not buy it at the pharmacies and especially not those around Sukhumvit. Most shops around there have "farang prices". And legal V is expensive compared to the same stuff or Cialis and the indian stuff (forgot the name) you can buy easily on the street. Where? Around Nana (soi 4) in the night or between soi 11 and 19; look at the street vendor stalls, some of them have it on sale. Good luck

United Airlines is cancelling flights to BKK because of the protests and violence. Can anyone give us a status report? Giotto, how about one of your great reports about the current situation?

UNITED only issued a travel waiver which means they will not charge you if you want to change your ticket. The waiver does mention canceled flights but I checked on their website and as of Monday morning BKK time, they are still showing all of their flights out as still available with tickets for sale. As far as I can tell they have not yet canceled any of the BKK flights either out or in.

I am watching this closely though as I am supposed to fly up to BKK from Singapore on Friday, the 30th. I hope I don't have to stay put in Singapore for that weekend. If I go I am booked into the Grand Hyatt, but if the Reds don't clear out by then, I will probably have to find somewhere else to stay.

Good luck

If buying from a street vendor then check the use by date.
The generic version of Cialis is Apcalis...much better than Cialis, Viragra, Kamagra, etc imho, atleast for me.
The second pharmacy between Soi 4 and Bullies Pub on Suk (turn left at Suk if walking down Soi 4 at the service station) has all of the above at reasonable prices.

And the broken pencil? This story has no point. You were warned.

Must say that I was a little surpeised at the quality there on my last visit. Was there from about 4pm for an hour or so. For sure, there are some average ones, but a definate improvement from a year or so ago. There were about 6-7 facing you as soon as you walk in. Youngish, slim but had doubts about quality of service so didnt engage them.

United Airlines is cancelling flights to BKK because of the protests and violence. Can anyone give us a status report? Giotto, how about one of your great reports about the current situation?I'm in Pattaya, came here last week after the clashes in BKK. Between Songkran splashes (yes, still going on here), everyone here is saying now the "Yellow Shirts" are giving the Prime Minister an ultimatum, that if the government forces can't clear out the "Red Shirts" from Downtown Bangkok, they will mobilize their forces and do it. This is the same group that closed down the airport 2 years ago. Remember, this is "Bar Girl intel" so I'm not sure on the reliability. But it looks like it might get more interesting.

there were about 6-7 facing you as soon as you walk in. youngish, slim but had doubts about quality of service so didnt engage them.i know exactly where you mean. seems some regulars set up camp there. they don't seem to move around a lot, waiting for the candidates to come to them. i haven't tried any in this section either, for the very same reason.

was there yesterday afternoon to grab a bite to eat and catch the end of the f1 (by happenstance). the 1 of interest did seem to be engaged, but not quite certain if he was actually going to ink the deal. he happened to be a bg7 acquaintance from the weekend, so went over to say hi, and to scope out the girl. yes indeed, slightly older, but would definitely walk out the door with her.

all a moot point as another bg7 acquaintance (italics intentional) walked up to say hi, couldn't resist the face, the cleavage, nor the known good service, so we were out the door sooner rather than later.

as i've said, there might be a lot of chaff to sift through, but there is some wheat there. another member also pointed out that things might be improving, given the lengthening shutdown of central world and the like, clerks and such coming up short on the rent and remittances home.

2 hours later, she headed home (or somewhere), while i moseyed up to soi cowboy to have a beer during happy hour at tilac. can't beat the happy hour prices. certainly some cute ones, along with a couple stunners.

was guessing that 1 stunner was wearing a g-string while dancing either due to her status due to her period but still workingdidn't care to ask, either way.

you know you are old when the stunners pass you by, preferring fresher servings. or when business is slow when they give you the eye. but plenty of the chorus to keep one occupied, and i actually prefer those. in almost every case, given that for a stunner, it's not a question of if she'll have a customer, but who; while a chorus member is often more interested in good service for repeat business. my experience anyway, but maybe that's just sour grapes. :)

anyway, all a moot point given the exertions of an hour earlier. i just told the girl that was fiddling with me that i, or at least part of me, was shy rather than satiated. but to her credit, she was beginning to see results. next time, will have to do some better time management as it was cinderella time and time to grab a pumpkin home.

In the real estate business, they call that a "buyer's market."Since I found the most attractive girls were actually in Baccara, you are now confirming their prices.

2000 bht Baccara girls for short time and 4000 bht for long time.

Anyone here can confirm that they actually paid less than the above for take out from Baccara?

So, not more a cheap shot. Especially with the strong Baht. What I really don't understand is why the Baht is so strong? The Thai government is under siege and riots in the capital. Every other currency would make a dive.

Yeah I was quoted 2000 ST and 4000 LT from the girls upstairs in Baccara. I didn't try to negotiate - perhaps 1500 could be arranged but i didn't try. The main problem with Baccara (at least with the girls upstairs) is actually getting them to come and talk to you - I find that the prettiest girls are always with the Japanese customers.

went to suk yesterday to pick up some shirts i had made, and was passing by soi 8 when i remembered there was a bj bar close by ([CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s as read on this forum). i had never been to one, so i figured i'd check that off my list. found it off on a side street from soi 8 ... about 10-15 girls sitting outside in red dresses, at first thought "ohh shit, red shirts" then realized they were dresses.

as i walked up, i picked a young hottie with a nice face and body and we walked inside together. i ordered a beer and then we went upstairs. must have been a slow day, i was the only one upstairs in the curtained "service" area. she put a towel on the couch for me to sit on and placed a round rubber mat on the floor in between my feet ... which was a knee pad, cool!

she took my pants off for me and cleaned me up and then proceeded to give me a great blow job. she had pretty big tits, so i reached down to play with them and she ended up pushing her dress down around her waist so i could look at and play with her tits.

another customer came in at that time and they ended up going in the area across from ours. it's kinda dark upstairs, just red light bulbs, so when they were walking by, they ended up tripping on my outstretched legs. i have kind long legs, and the curtained service area is kinda tight, so when she started sucking my cock, i stretched my legs out and didn't realize they had been sticking out from underneath the curtain.

when my girl (buu) was sucking my cock, she made very loud wet sucking sounds, which i liked. the guy across from me started telling his girl to suck his cock like mine "same same sucking sound" he kept saying ... and it was kinda throwing me off. he kept it up, to the point where i couldn't get my nutt off and it was annoying, so i said, "dude, please ... ." i think he realized what was up, mumbled an apology and stopped talking.

buu worked her magic suction action again and in no time, had me filling her mouth full of my load, which she took like a champ. she cleaned me up, helped me get my pants on and we headed downstairs for the bill: b 805 for a heineken and blow job.

god i love thailand!

They pay more. It's as simple a that. If they ask me 5k next time I should agree possibly add a big tip, so that they can ask more the next day. Happy inflation. I can afford that. It's so much cheaper than back home. Why the fuck am I so stupid and don't just pay. Life could be so much easier.

boring afternoon, hungry (in more ways than 1), thirsty, so after running some errands, once again dropped by soi 7 bier garten mid-afternoon. not all that crowded. lunch + drink, (truthfully, drink then lunch), looked around. couple of cuties, but occupied. kept the radar on surveillance.

spotted 1 across the bar, but initially ignored her. as time passed, now thinking i'd traipse down to annies; a repeat there from a fun time last week. and if annie's 1st choice wasn't available, could check the availability of several others on the annie's to-do list.

however, as the afternoon wore on, annies seemed to move farther and farther down the road. miss bg7 was improving, and not because the bar was not all that populated. checked my beer goggles; no, it wasn't that. but i did think i was beginning to see a facial resemblance to tia carrera (ok, as in 2nd cousin, 3rd person removed, or something like that). still, if nothing else, the cleavage was growing on me.

however, by now, i was invisible on her radar, due to my ignoring her earlier. took awhile, but finally made eye contact, played the "should i come over and sit with you?"/"i'm not sure yet" game, but finally gave her the nod.

up close, in some ways, the face younger than i expected. nice dress (plus for attire, even if it would soon be removed), nice personality, good marketing. discussed menu, all oral questions a go. having learned from my mistake with another bg7 girl, i specified 3 shots - after all, failure would be her fault, just not stimulating enough...

all agreed to, and her preference was the playboy hotel ("not go penthouse, playboy better; 3 hours no problem"). fine by me, and i learned that the 3 hour price is the same as the 2 hour price, at least for the room at playboy. guess it's the only 1 hour quickie that gets the lower rate. i don't know when or what the next price tier is.

i, always the gentleman, said we'd take a taxi, which she appreciated. in the room, a/c set to max, and again the heart shaped bed which didn't interest me as much as her shape did. the rack uplifted by the bra, but a legit 34b underneath. some stretch marks, but disappeared when i removed my glasses (poor eyesight can be advantageous at times). dfk not a problem, quickly stripped, she enjoying, and then a shocking suggestion from her: round 1 pre shower. good god, woman, i'm not a heathen. shower 1, round 1 2 (i'll assume you all can read the previous correctly). agreed, and a nice, assisted shower.

round 1, russian, complete. a decent massage, fs round 2 done. this was working out well. no time pressure, and the ceiling mirror (the side wall mirrors not as nice as the penthouse's but ceiling better) was doing it's job... if there had been a "round girl", she would be parading that "3" card around the bed.

but then came the "glitch". i'd left round 3 to an oral cim, so i could just lay back and enjoy. and that's where her hesitancy started to appear. the oral was on again, off again, and the promised cim seemed to be only in my mind. maybe my interpretation of her actually final answer to the oral questionnaire, "you be good to me, i be good to you", was faulty, hearing what i wanted to hear.

she switched to a hj, which only brought to my mind, "what can they be thinking?". that was going to be fruitless labor. back to oral, now we're talking (actually more like mumbling: me, "sabai, sabai"; her, "mumph ahg mumph"), but then back to the hj. her "you want oil?" question had me thinking "well, only if you like the taste..." but i actually verbalized "no". the longer the delay to the finish, the more work it would take to get there, and that road was lengthening, even if i wasn't.

here i'd been thinking, after the 1st 2 rounds, with high expectations for the 3rd, i'm going to have to put this one on speed dial. but now, it was, well, maybe, if i ever bump into her again.

i reminded her that she had said oral was on the menu, so she returned to the deed, but asked that i let her know when i was about to finish. ok, only one reason why that answer should not be a surprise, the dreaded "head flick" maneuver.

we compromised with a cot's, which allowed her to save face (pun intended). just over 2 hours later, exited the room (so much for the 3 hours, but each of us had other places to be, and since it was no extra room money, no big deal). but certainly any future meeting would be chance, not dialed, and like the title says, close, but no cigar (another poor pun).

yes, i was slightly disappointed. but i did remember the definition of disappointed: the difference between your fantasy and reality.

still, attractive enough for 3 across the bow (well, make that 2 plus 1 up the main port). the bg7 continues to deliver for afternoon takeaway. given its size, compared to other afternoon bars, i like it. just like forest gump said, you never know what you're going to pull out.

similar to previous bg7 excursions, later on, around 8pm, made my way to tilac, soi cowboy. no real plans except for a beer and a bratwurst while watching the dancers before heading home. ok, granted, it was a tuesday, but tilac was sparse. couple of the a-listers there, but a number of the chorus missing. if i had been looking for early evening company, i would have looked elsewhere.

Today I heard that Grant Hyatt will be closed for some days.
My favourite bars/disco are always Sheraton/Lu, Conrad/87, Hyatt/Spasso, Novotel/CM2 and after standard closing time also Spicy, Bossy and Boss.

Hope that some of you can give me an update how it was during the last days in one or more of these locations. Are they effected/down or....business as usual?

Great to know that the ladies are willing to negotiate down from the standard (and outrageous) fee, in slow times.

On another note, can anyone recommend a laundry service in the lower Suk area? I hate paying hotel laundry prices.

(900 barfine +1500bhtservice) was 2400 bht.

Was 1500bht for both girls, or one at a time?

900 barfine for both, or for one?

Last year barfines were 600bht per girl.

Went to Climax Nightclub last night and found this gem. Her name is Meilee and was there with some girlfriends. I ended up hooking up with her, danced and then came back to my place. She ended up spending the night and we never talked about money. In the morning, she just got dressed, hooked me up with her mobile number and took off for work. Had I know that you could work girls like this for free, I would have been in there everynight!

Ah yes, the coveted freebie. Well done sir - enjoy your freebie, and rest assured that it will be repeated, if you choose to go that route in the future. If I may say, you are obviously a talented monger (odd thing to say, but true), and far be it for me to advise you, but I will nonetheless. Humbly, of course.

In my experience, freebies are great, but they are rarely (if ever) truly free. There are complications associated with the freebie, and so long as you are aware of said complications and willing to deal with them, more power to you. I have no doubt that you can handle yourself pretty well, I just thought you might want to think about these possibilities before you pursue this cutie (and she is indeed a cutie) any further.

A (non-exhaustive) list of potential complications:
1. She now expects reciprocation for the freebie in the form of dinner, movie, followed by another night of excellent sex. This is a simple commercial exchange - her goods for your money and good company. In my mind, this is only fair, and this is how it works in most western countries too - you meet the girl, do dinner, drinks, movies, etc. and then you get to bed the lady.

2. Cutie calls you one evening expecting dinner and a hook up when you had your heart set on a romp in Soi Cowboy. You must decide whether to sever the relationship here, or give up your gogo escapades. If this happens once, it ain't bad, but once it becomes a regular thing, man, that can be a drag.

3. You waltz into Climax thinking you are the boss of your own world, and before you know it, cutie jumps out of the throngs of girls and smothers you all night. No chance of hooking up with the dozens of other juicy treats on display. That's a real buzz kill.

4. You eventually manage to break it off with her, but the word has spread that you are 'bad man', and jai dam, and all the other bs. So girls are now staying away from you - a girls' club boycott, if you will. This only lasts a short while, since the allure of your untapped cash will eventually lure someone out of the boycott. But it's a pain in the ass while it lasts.

5. Cutie starts to turn the screw on you, i.e., she's cultivating you for a long term sponsorship, or wedding, or whatever. This means she will become more and more cloying. You can certainly handle this, but it requires being somewhat cold hearted, and running the risk of a girls' club boycott (see 4 above).

All of this is just annoyance to a skilled player such as yourself, but such annoyances can indeed be sapping after a while. So my advise to you is actually quite simple: avoid the freebie, no matter how tempting it might be, unless you wish to stay with this girl (semi-monogomously) for an extended period of time.

My simple rule: you play, I pay. This keeps it all super simple. No one expects anything that has not been explicitly discussed. If money changes hands, once that door slams behind her in the morning, your obligations to her are done. You could still pursue her for the occasional re-do, but she has not right to insist that you are hers, and so no girls' club boycott may ensue, nor may she call you jai dam, since you indeed fulfilled your end of the bargain.

I did exactly what you did several times when I first started plying the fair seas of Bangkok, only to learn that in the long run it is not really worth it. So my current practice is this: After a night of superb sex, with not a word of compensation being uttered, in the morning while she is in the bathroom, I slip whatever I think she deserves into her purse where she will clearly see it. I put the cash ontop of everything else so she can't miss it. I sometimes place it under her cell phone if it is out on a table somewhere.

The girls are skilled enough to know how to deal with this. Sometimes I get a call back a few hours later thanking me for the money, which is cool, but I don't expect it. But crucially, we are all on the same wave-length - you paid for the service, and are not under any further obligation, unless you so wish.

Good luck to you, and I look forward to your future reports, hopefully as excellent as your recent reports have been.

I met this amazing anal princess on the last night of my trip to Bangkok on April 13 accross Soi Nana near the twin orange ATMs. I asked for anal and she said sure for 1000 baht. She took me to a nearby ST hotel for 300 baht and we went at it for over 1 hour in all 3 holes. She wrote down her phone number & email on my map but I lost it before returning home.

Thanks to everyone on this forum who helped make finding girls like this easy! I hope to return to Bangkok soon!

There are complications associated with the freebie, and so long as you are aware of said complications and willing to deal with them, more power to you. I have no doubt that you can handle yourself pretty well, I just thought you might want to think about these possibilities before you pursue this cutie (and she is indeed a cutie) any further.
Nothing complicated here. Keep banging her until she asks for money. When/if she does, drop her. Easy enough. Don't buy into this crap that freebies aren't free! If you got laid and didn't pay for it that is FREE!

(900 barfine +1500bhtservice) was 2400 bht. Was 1500bht for both girls, or one at a time? 900 barfine for both, or for one? Last year barfines were 600bht per girl.2400bt was the price (barfine and service) per Baccara girl, short time. I should also add that unless your hotel is nearby, the short time hotel room is an extra 300bt. I took Mimi and A out separately on different nights when I knew that the other girl was not coming in. I wonder what the barfine would be for 2 girls? Probably 1800bt.

The increased barfine occurred sometime in late '08 and has been discussed on the forum. No one likes it, but what are you going to do if you want a Baccara girl. Everyone has different thoughts on this and price ceilings. (I avoided the barfine on subsequent dates by hooking up with the girls in the afternoon.) But, for me personally, it's worth the extra 300bt as long as I am very, very physically attracted to the girl and she has a good attitude. Again it’s just my opinion, but the only other bar in BKK that has this level of quality is Rainbow 4. This year, however, I noticed something was off and there were not as many hot ones in Rainbow 4 as previous years. I barfined only one Rainbow girl this year but she was a stunner. So Nana may be in decline. I don’t know.

The girls upstairs were the prettiest and the hardest to negotiate.Well that just goes to show you we all have different tastes and preferences. Only one of the 4 girls I barfined out of Baccara was a upstairs schoolgirl. Her name was Tom. At first I was not that sure about her, but I called her over. She looked very young, but told me she was 20. I bought her a drink and over the course of our little tête-à-tête; she got me hard. She was a pretty little thing, no question, but not as hot as Mimi, my favorite of the trip. One shift of upstairs girls always go topless and none of them are wearing underwear. So there appears to be more heat being generated upstairs if you know what I mean. But if you put my feet to the fire, I would say the best looking girls were downstairs.

Will be in Manila this weekend and will start my trip with a virgin. And of course.. FREE.

Yes, yes, of course you are right, Amjeck, but I think you might be mistaking Kumbu for someone like yourself, who can drop any girl you’ve fucked for free without the slightest feelings of regret or remorse.

Kumbu strikes me as the sort of guy who absolutely loves, and genuinely LIKES women – especially the ones he has befriended and fucked for free – so he might have a bit of difficulty emotionally employing your methods with those ladies. I know I would too. It can get complicated.

What he said about the price one pays for freebies is all true in my experience as well. It’s a pity that we’re not satisfied with only one woman and a shame that we have to suffer our mongering experiences with a human heart and conscience attached, which causes us to actually have feelings for our conquests.

So we think that it is good policy to give our “freebies” money right from the start, so that when we want to flutter away to the next prospect, at least we can rationalize that there was some quid pro quo. If we don’t do that, there are consequences to face of the sort Kumbu described. I’ve been there a few times. I have problems dropping even hookers. Call me soft hearted but that’s the way it is.

Good man Sushilover,
Thanks for the Asian gaper; such a rarity and a treat.
You've inspired me to share a 500 baht Phuket yawner:
