Decided to make an early start and instead of waiting for the bars to open I picked up one of the girls waiting by the Foodland corner on Sukhamavit around midafternoon. The average Thai prostitute spends a great part of her earnings in non-essential things (she also sends a substantial part of her money to her family -- I would say about 50% in most cases, sometimes lesser than that, but not often more than that, according to the testimony of many working girls -- though, but her family often uses a non-negligible part of this money to buy non-essential items too). For instance, the average local prostitute would buy a new cellular phone every three months or so only because she can afford it and to show it to her "friends". By the way, you seem to believe that a local prostitute earns on average about 25000 baht per month (if 80% of her monthly income is about 20000 baht). It was saying I needed some kind of security code. Then when I called HSBC to get one of those codes their computers were down. So I used my Visa debit card from my other bank instead and it went right through. A couple of days before that I used a Visa credit card for BKK Phuket (4, 226 baht round trip) and it worked as well.

Air Asia? What's your itinerary?
Air Asia's Cheap and uncomfortable, there might be other much better Airlines. I have mostly flown Air Asia between CRK and KUL and my experience with them has actually been quite good. My recommendation would be to pay extra at the time of booking for exit row, meal, travel kit and luggage if necessary, it is really not much and makes a big difference. Most notably every time I have been alone in the exit row and was able to sleep on 3 seats. I have also had the issue of having my credit card company block the transaction, which was resolved either by using a different card or a phone call to the cc company.
So what could be the best options for a change besides Rainbow and Baccara?I too am very particular about looks, and willing to shop for the hottest go-go girls. No disrespect to other gentlemen, who place more emphasis on other qualities. I just like young slim stunners.

Part of the club is on the second floor. This is more like a conventional go-go. Mandarin also has a location on the third floor. There is a stairway just to the left of the second floor entrance. The third floor set up is a little darker and a little smaller. I rather like it.

So in Nana, I'll go in there with the plan of visiting at least one or 2 other bars before going into Rainbow 4. I presume you steer clear of the back on 2nd floor. ;) But things change, so best to at least take a look at as many places as you can. It doesn't take long, and there's no rule you have to stay in a place once you go inside. Most bars you'll probably end up skipping anyway.

All this because AirAsia and most of the airlines there use some sort of additional security for cc payments on the web. In addition to the 3 digit code that shows that you have the card at hand.
In the case of HSBC, it requires you in most countries to register a phone number prior to use your cc online. When you log in and attempt to pay, they will direct you to a webpage hosted by HSBC where you have to enter the security code (8 digits) received by sms on your phone. In 99% of the cases, even if you are roaming, the sms arrives on the spot. Happened to me once that it did not.
Other banks ask for your birth date, for instance.
I don't monger in TH, so try to compensate with help LOL.

But as of now, I have never been able to use my USA based cc on air Asia when booking online.That may or may not be true, because I have been booking on Air Asia for about 4/5 years now. I used have this problem with Tiger Airways, but it is now ok, too. All my credit cards are US based. Try calling your credit card about this problem, also enroll in the visa / master charge verification systems. Hope this helps. But I hate the convenience fee that Air Asia charges for using credit cards.
I also haven't had problems booking with my Visa-logo debit card (Wachovia bank) number 4228 3574 4462 1817 expiration 01/14.

The Conrad is in a great location, close to Nana and to Annies' Soapy Massage. In fact, I think it's about a 10-15 minute walk. So getting a good soapy at Annie's should definitely be achievable. Quite often the words "Pay what you can afford" get brought across like some kind of excuse to justify somehow the fact that some fellow monger paid more than the going rate for a certain service.
"Pay what you can afford" implies that only because you can afford to do so, you should pay more that the next guy in order for you to get the same thing. If you need to receive calls or make calls in Thailand, sim is all you need with some prepaid minutes. Do not get the True long distance aim though. Sounds good at 2 bt a minute to USA, but it takes about 24 to become activated.
I bought some of those long distance prepaid vouchers from 7-11. I couldn't figure them out.
Hotel will suck you dry. So don't make long distance calls from your room.
I also ran into a problem with using a sim in my north American cellphone. Couldn't get 3g service and the frequency didn't match. I ended up buying a 750bt new phone from a Big C to use with my Thai sims. Just be aware that if your phone is locked, you have another issue.

What criteria do you use to decide on successful LT? Younger / older, stunner / average? Suggests your place immediately or suggests going somewhere to eat / dance etc?
I can think of a few things, but as someone with limited LOS experience I would like to ask those with knowledge for some wisdom. I am especially curious about timing the pick up. Obviously ST can be anytime, but is there a preferred window of opportunity for LT?
Reading all these reports it is obvious ST is pretty easy, but an enjoyable LT seems more of a challenge. Any hints, aside from the obvious that you like her and she (at least appears) to like you?
With only a couple nights this trip I probably will give Mango a try for some PSE outcall. But once relieved I'll hunt for an LT. A lot is written about LL, and that seems like a safe start.
I really would like to find an LT like I did last time, as she was great (met her at a soapy, hit it off, and she came to my room after she got off, stayed over and hooked up again later).
Ideally we meet up early, sex, dinner, sex, dancing, sex, sleep, sex, breakfast, sex, bye-bye, or maybe meet again. Course all that is not going to happen, but you get the basic idea.

Clearly, you know that LT can be quite different experience from ST, and that "clicking" with the person is the key issue. Your question (I think) is whether there are any shortcuts to figuring that out on a short trip without too many days to waste.
My guess is no, but I would add this suggestion from my experience. The LTs I have tried have been much more fun for me when the woman was more mature and appreciative of the opportunity to be with me. So I would generally prefer older to younger, nice looking to stunner. Older women IMHO are generally (not always, of course) better at pleasing me; more understanding of what I may want or need, and just benefiting more from experience (it has to count for something!). I agree with Stew's post, there is no short cut, all down to If you both click, also agree older ladies are usually better at treating the guy well, they probably don't get BF every night so rely on repeat customers, unlike some of the young gogo divas who won't want to do a LT, well maybe not until 1am, and then they might not won't to stay long, all depends on your taste of lady, how much they like you, and a bit of luck.
