Sorry I have to jump in here... I have found that the average for a short time in Kuta / Sanur starts from 250.000 this depends on the quality of girl. I have been to a couple of the places where you can get the girls for 100.000 and they are not my style or type, so I am prepared to pay that little extra for someone I wouldn't try and chew my arm off in the morning over.
For a long time I very rarely pay over 500.000 and if more she would want to be exceptional. Please note I never tip a girl afterwards if I have paid over 300.000 and if they ask for taxi money I always say they have got all my money for the night... I agree with trying to keep the market price down, but a lot of the girls in the clubs are coming in from Jakarta etc at the moment so they are used to getting higher prices and wont really negotiate down that much.
Lets be fair here also, these girls have to put up with a lot of crap from a lot of people regarding what they do and if they can make 500.000 ($50US) a night then good on them. If it doesnt go in drugs then it is going to families that need it.
At the end of the day I believe in 2 things...
1. You get what you paid for.
2. If you are both happy with the negotiated price then thats ok. Its up to you to negotiate the best deal that you can.
I realise I have just opened a can of worms here, but lets be realistic about this all please...
I agree with Professor that we need to be fair to the girls as well. Hanque you have apoint that we should not unncessarily raise the market. But at the same time, I think we should make an allowance to quality, and put some money in the girls' hand to attract best talent and good upkeep, else you will find the quality deterioraitng over time. I must say 40$ in bali last week and 400$ in New york, where I am now is already hell of a difference! Cheers.

I have to say I am not seeing a huge reduction of girls in the clubs due to Ramadan. Everywhere was really pumping last night... Will try and get some photos later this week... Even my own good little muslim girl has decided to forgo fasting this year, could be the that her father is christian and she has decided its just too hard, and in reality she is only about 35 to 38 kilo so a month of fasting and I would have a skeleton :)
On a different note tried two restaurants over the past week one in the Canggu Club and I have to say soooo expensive by bali standards (thank god it was a free feed) without drinks it cost about 1.7 million or $250 Aust
and that was with out drinks. Food was good but I wouldnt pay that in a hurry.
The second one was Hook in Legian, across the road from MBargo. For two people under 200,000 rp including 2 cocktails and orange juice (I had to work the next day). I have to say it was one of the best steaks I have had in Bali and that says something. My little darling had the tuna and it was really good as well. The menu is simple and a few indo dishes for your girl who isn't sure about western food. I will definately be going back soon.

Its been long time since I was in last Bali and it looks like I will be returning to the Island of the Gods in December.
Between 1997 and 2001 while I was at college studying graphic design , I used to spend my summer months there, with my Javanese girlfriend at the time, doing the odd bit of DJ work in a couple of the bars and clubs around Seminyak and Legian while supposedly doing research into balinese design. (student life eh!)
Unfortunately its been too long since my last visit I have lost contact with most of my Bali buddies, though I recently discovered the ISG and have been able to keep up with all things mongering over there and it seems not too much has changed since then.
The bars and clubs around Seminyak are still the place for the best looking girls, Sanur is still the place for the brothels and Dyana ayu is still a mystery to some wether it really exists or not.

However a lot Im sure has changed, and I cant wait to see for myself. Mbargo wasnt there for a start and It looks like its definitely worth checking out, along with many other spots I've been reading about in this forum.
And just to pick up from the last report about Ramadan, if anything it used to get busier for working girls as far as I remember, as many would come over from Java to work in Bali during that period, and my little Muslim Girl although not (quite) a WG would do the same.
As I said, I am heading to Bali in December and would appreciate it if any of the Bali forum regulars who might be there at that time could bring me up to date on the scene over there, even suggest where I might get a WG friendly place to stay preferably a moderate price bungalow/cottage rather than a hotel room as I will be staying about a month. Wow what has happened to the super busy thursday nights in Kuta? I went out to check out the local happenings and was really dissapointed, saying that though there is a whole new crop of little hardbodies hitting the clubs and have to say some real cuties. A lot are coming in from Jakarta and surrounding areas during Ramadan, less strict here I guess :) gotta love those Hindu's. Apart from that MBargo was quiet, maybe friday will be better... I will have a scout around tonight.

I just came back from Bali, and must say I was disappointed with the action. I went to Bounty and the other places where women hang out, and they were either not my type or non-existent.
Anyway, I was around Kuta when a guy says he can get me a woman for 350,000 rupiah. So he takes me on a long scooter ride to Sanur, and then lets me check from more than 20 chicks. I pick this young one with a nice rack, and I'm told it's gonna be a massage plus fuck. I pay 350,000 rupiah, then her pimp asks me if I want a drink. He comes back and I get charged 20,000 rupiah for the drinks (I though they were free). I do my thing but the girl complains my johnson is too big, though her blowjob attempt was commendable. I blow my load with me on top and it's over after just 15 minutes.
I tip her 50,000 rupiah, and she asks for more. I feign not understanding her and she just leaves it at that.
I'd say getting a chick all night for UNDER 500,000 rupiah is pretty hard unless she's a buck fugly mutant. I think it's safe to say Bali isn't the best for getting tail in Southeast Asia.

Sorry Pelican, I can agree with you that the talent is not as much as normal at the moment and I can only put it down to Ramadan. I have to laugh they are humping whatever they can for 90% of the year but when Ramadan comes it supposedly means whatever sins they have done over the past year are forgiven... yeah right :)
In Sanur also I had a look the other night and pickings are down, you just have to be lucky to get a really good one at the moment. The good news is in about 3 weeks time it will be packed again, just a shame you missed the run. Next time you come give me a buzz before hand and I will see if I can rustle up a hottie for you.
I went and looked out last night and the talent was very few and far between, lucky I have my own.

One thing I would like to add is don't forget the Asian women tourists. When I was booking my hotel last week I noticed one of them had a Ladies Only Floor. In my diabolical mind I knew the nationalities that this would largely attract. I decided to book this place, the Aston Resort in Tanjung Benoa near Nusa Dua. Sure enough, when I got there I noticed Asian women coming from this area mainly in pairs. Most of them were Japanese with a few Koreans and Chinese. On the second day there I was able to hook up with a 26 year old Japanese nurse. She was there with her friend but they were doing things mostly separately. One of those things that this nurse was doing was Mahku. The only cost to me was some dinner, drinks and a wicked sunburn that I acquired when first chatting this girl up.
Of course ability in one of the languages in question goes a long way. And for best results one should bring a wing man to help separate pairs.
A room in this place cost 67 bucks booked online. If things don't work out here it's a good distance but not too far, 25 minutes taxi ride, from Kuta.
As for Kuta, Legian and Semanyak I found the places in the same Ramadan funk that others have. On a Tuesday night I went into Bounty at 11:30 pm. There were a few decent looking western women. But they were soon scared off by these local street guys who started break dancing, kicking one girl, and acting like general *******es. I looked in again later about 1 am and it was much the same. Nothing was going on in M Bar Go or anywhere else up and down the street. I also went over to Double 6 and it was absolutely empty (about 2 am by this time) except for one drunk guy passed out at the bar. Down the street from here there were a couple of places that offered some hope. There was Club Deja Vu. It had some halfway decent women I would rate at about 5 or 6, as well as a few others of unclear gender. But by this time and this far from my place I just gave up and went home. Between Double 6 and this place is another bar that has a good band that may attract something.

I am sure you were overcharged in Sanur. I have stayed in Sanur twice/year since 1998 and can tell that "normal" today is rp 100.000 for a room and rp 100.000 directly to the girl. (You can pay less if you go where the local young men go). If the hotel owner wants pay for "everyting" in advance - give him rp 150.000 and then tip the girl rp 50.000. All "short time" of course. Sometimes you have to negotiate to get these conditions, but you will surely succeed next time. rp 100.000 is abt US $ 14:-

Also her phone her most treasured possession has disappeared, so I am betting that my german friend has made it disappear so she cant get in contact with anyone without him knowing. The best place at the moment is one referred to as No 29. thats what my driver and others call it. I will try and get a street address to make it easier. The choice is a lot better than most and the girls don't want to just finish and go away. And they so far havent started asking for tips etc before the service. Pricing about 300.000 and that is for a good looking girl not a bushpig. I have always said you get what you pay for, so if I am prepared to pay a little exra for a good looking girl I think it is worthwhile.

Instead, having just returned from Bali last month I am absolutely smitten with a woman who works (literally, waitress) at, shall we say, one of the larger and more visible establishments in the Kuta area. Some of you guys are really insightful. One question that lingers in mind is whether a Balinese can actually lie, in the Western sense. As far as I can tell, they simply are not given to introspection and really lack a reference to an objective reality. If you think something, it's more on you than on them, even if it's true. I'd appreciate any input on this, and also would like to hear from anyone who has specifics in this area--that is, can help get the 411 on the situation. Don't want to pursue it if she's actually a pro. Also Dirty Bird, any more photos of that girl?

For starters! Is your girl Balinese or is she from Java or somewhere and just working/living in Bali?
Balinese girls tend not to be working girls, (Bali is a small place when it comes to local gossip) and for the most part quite shy and naive to western ways. Those who work in busy tourist spots may be a bit more upfront in their manner.

Firstly let me say at the moment it is the luck of the draw as to when you find any good lookers around.
I am finding MBargo from 1am has some of the best lookers and surprisingly on Saturday most clubs in Dyana Pura Seminyak had some real honeys. You just have to be there at the right times.
I tried a Karaoke bar the other night and quite worth while the look and there are many such bars around. The top end girls tend to work out of Musro near Centro Discovery Mall in Kuta.

Spent two nights in Bali not long ago. On the second evening, I was out with the esteemed "Prof. Designer" and had a great time - more in a separate post.
During my first evening, I stopped by the Kuta Bogar massage parlor, on Jalan Setiabudi, sort-of-across from the Bali Galeria Mall. This place closes at 12 Midnight, and my taxi pulled up front at 10:55 p.m. The taxi driver immediately figured out what I was up to and tried to suggest that I continue to the "X" houses in Sanur, but just then a very attractive thin-waisted girl with what appeared to be decent tits walked by from one of the little selling carts, smiled at me, then walked into Kuta Bogar. So I decided to follow her in - in retrospect, I should have listened to my taxi driver!

prof. designer and i arranged by phone to meet for dinner at a nice restaurant across from mbargo named "hook" on monday evening. prof. had been planning on fixing me up with one of his favorites, "sa," a model-thin lovely whose photos appear in the photo gallery section. however, it turns out that miss sa really likes the prof., so when she showed up at the hook restaurant, she had brought along one of her friends for me, miss "l," while sa immediately cuddled up with the prof. which was fine with me, as miss l was also very nice and turned out to be a lot of fun, both socially and in bed.

I am thinking of flying into Jakarta then take ground transportation to see Yogykarta, Bali, Lombok etc...

Help! Please don't plan on taking ground transportation from Jakarta to any of the places you mentioned, as you'd be spending your entire week travelling (plus Bali and Lombok are on separate islands than the island of Java where Jakarta/Yogya are located).
Luckily there are relatively inexpensive flights between all of these points. Jakarta-Yogya is a one-hour flight (as opposed to 10 hours by land), while Jakarta-Bali is just over 90 minutes, and Jakarta-Lombok is just over two hours. There are also numerous Yogya-Bali, Yogya-Lomok and Bali-Lombok flights. Try Garuda Air, Lion Air, Adam Air or Sriwidjaya Air.
Good-looking Indonesian girls are plentiful in all of those places. For Jakarta, try the bars BATS (Shangri-La Hotel), CJ's (Mulia Hotel) or Tiga Puluh (Le Meridien), or the bars near Blok M (D's Place, My Bar, etc.). Or try the MPs such as Kartika or Hotel Travel in Kota, Maribaya Spa on the 6th floor of Hotel Melawai (Blok M), or maybe the more expensive places in the Kelapa Gading area, such as Sumo Shiatsu or MTR2.
For Bali, check out the Mbargo and Bounty Clubs, also read some of the recent posts by Prof. Designer - should give you a good overview of the scene.
Sorry, no specific info on Yogya or Lombok, but trust me, there are good-looking girls in both places (note: Lombok is usually pretty quiet).

I am just back from Bali/Sanur in a Buglow hotel. 2 days before leaving I found a little ( 20cm.) green snake in the room. Tried to catch it but it's suddenly stood high...like a cobra and had a red point in the neck. It escaped under the heavy wooden bed and I called to the reception they send 2 gartner, they caught the little snake. They said it was a cobra. After bite, one got 5 minutes, only ! :) So be careful in Bali. Try to stay in second floors and use your air conditioner non-stop. It makes them slow, sleepy.

Stopped into Dayan Ayu after about a year hiatus from that one stop shop and laid my money down for a little ultra-spinner by the name of Titi, which is a shortened version of her longer name. Hi Bloveld, I just had a look at the website, ha... wow I knew someone would and should do it and they have... the prices they are quoting for their special christmas price is way over the top. No one in their right mind will pay 1.000.000 rp for a short time in Bali, for that you would want an exceptional girl that stayed 24+ hours. I can bet most of the girls also go to the clubs where they make less but get more customers. They do have quite an assortment though, which is nice... It would be interesting to see how many are really available and how much is bullshit.
Oh well time will tell.

Dewi Sri is minutes from MBargo and all are girl friendly. Apart from that there are many, many hotels in Kuta/Legian that are all cheap... really its up to you guys.
You are coming at a good time, many cuties around... Just remember avoid the drugs they are really cracking down on all people doing anything like that... booze is fine and a hell of a lot better than 5 years in jail.

As I said in the Photo Gallery, she is too well dressed and accessorized not to be a worker, also she is well tanned which means she is always maintaining the tan, so no day job... I would say she has a sugardaddy that is looking after her so she would then say she doesnt really work the game... Also if she asked you for money the of course she was bullshitting you... I have seen it way to much to say that she can live in bali without someone supporting her.
I have found you just never trust them in the beginning as they will only tell you what you want to hear...
