Bigcharles22Sir William 4 is quite correct. The Isaan is northeastern Thailand where most people speak Lao rather than Central Thai as their first language. There are also several million ethnic Khmer (Cambodians) along the southern tier including Surin, Sisaket, and Buriram as well as tribals like the Kui who wrangle elephants. Many of the girls in my photos are from the Isaan where many of Thailand's best silk textiles are woven, often from Lao or Khmer designs. This girl is not available. She is not a bar girl but a college student (by now she must have graduated). She is a Bangkok girl who wanted to practice her English. We taught her more than that. No charge.

I try to teach English back home. Never seem to get your results. Maybe need to move to Thailand and get more opportunities.
Should we ask what words you concentrate on teaching?I must admit that the English lesson quickly devolved into more intimate communications that were more effective and memorable. The fact is our Thai was much better than her English which accounts for our success in bringing her home in the first place. Plus the curiosity in meeting a couple of Thai-speaking farangs.

She also reported that my old friend who now lives in Europe will be back in Bangkok next month so maybe I will see both of them en route home. Just back from Bangkok where I was lucky to meet my old friend who is currently on vacation from Europe. I also found two other old friends and enjoyed several sessions with the ladies on ski 11. The street isn't dead but neither is it healthy. My friends survive largely through foreign clients who are repeat customers. They usually don't have to compete with bar girls and masseuses. Remittances also help. When security issues loom, as now, people cancel their travel and go to other places. That is happening now.
The situation will probably get worse before it gets better. The opposition knows they cannot win an election. Ask any cab driver or Isaan bar girl. So they are trying to get Yingluck out on a corruption charge which worked with her brother (and the help of the Royal Thai Army).

My Thai and farang friends in Thailand tell me that tourists have not been much inconvenienced during the on-going political struggle in Bangkok. But it has taken a toll on tourism and there are plenty of girls to be had. There is no end in sight but fatigue seems to be setting in among the antigovernment protesters.
It is obvious the girls enjoy your company and you enjoy their's. This political thing will end and people will move on. Business may go down, but far from permanent. New places will replace old ones and off we go again.
