I was trying to message you but unfortunately you need bitcoin to join and I don't have any. Don't know much about bitcoin sorry. Copacabana Hotel And Suites, is this a girl friendly hotel? Is this and the area of all the action? Basically I'm just looking for someplace to stay walking distance from the strip that allow female guest.I've been on this site for several years and never paid a cent. Copacabana is a clothing optional resort and is girl friendly.

Is this place still open? I don't see them on the of the hotel websites. Anyone know how I can get a room here. If not what is a good spot near everything and guest friendly. I'm sorry I'm sure this question has been asked before.Phone them to make a reservation.

This is great advice only one problem. You should not dress-up! Last thing you need to be is a well dress foreigner. The number of girls available is insane. Not just the casino, but the street and tinder. I agree 100% about not dressing up. The main street is reasonably safe, even late at night. But don't be stupid. I go for the "expat with barely enough money to live on" look. Sandals, grey t shirt, cheap phone, no jewelry or watch, unshaven, decoy wallet. The girls do not care how you are dressed, only what color your money is. If you feel the need to impress, impress them with your room when you get them there. You don't need to look your best to pick the girl of your dreams, you only need to pay her.

Hi all,

I've been to Jaco once before but for a bachelor party. I had a great time with about 10 friends. We had a house rented, the host threw us pool parties etc. We did make it to coral and that was good too. Although I felt it was a bit more expensive there.

Unfortunately, we've lost contact with the friend who planned this so I'm back to square one so to speak. I'm planning to have a much smaller trip coming up in the next 6 months, but would like to get started planning.

I have a friend that's gone through some difficult times and who's never done these types of trips. He's heard me rave about Costa Rica so many times he's suggesting we go.

What's the best way for two guys to have an amazing trip? I would like something similar. A private villa with a pool. Host brings over some girls, or we both have a pre picked girl ready. My friend is quite shy, and he's looking for more of a personal connection during the time he's there so I feel he wants someone with him during the duration of the trip. I assume we'the like the option to switch girls if possible.

Does anybody know what's the best way to about planning a trip like this? Suggestions and ideas would be most welcome!

Ill be making a trip soon, and would love a nice slim gal, taller or spinner is fine. Harder and harder to find these days, the whole worlds getting bigger. Can't tell you how many escorts I've seen here in the USA who are heavier than their pix. I automatically add 20 pounds now. Please post or PM me, much appreciated, thank you!

Summer in The Hamptons?Hi, good guess, but I was in Montauk. Really too bad a bunch of hard working responsible guys can't go out in the USA for a little fun. Its all hush hush, you have to run solo to AMPS and hotel rooms, nervous and looking over your shoulder the whole time. On that trip we ended up forking over major $$ for overpriced golf and dinners to get drunk, plus the airbnb wasnt cheap, and went back to work like depressed dogs. If we met a few willing women, spent the night with them, the next morning the world would nt have changed. Maybe it would be a tiny bit better, actually. And we definitely would have gone back to work happy, like we had a real vacation.

First, I am in Colombia and to my understanding I need to stay in another country for 6 days to meet the yellow fever vaccine requirement? Can anyone confirm that this is true if I have only been in Medellin and Cartagena?

Second, what is the scene like there? Are the girls classy? All Venezuelan? Prices?

Third, What is Cocal Casino like? Blackjack, Table games, poker? Can you stay in the Casino and bring girls to the room?

Thanks in advance for advice.

Haven't been to Jaco beach in about 12 years.

How is it safety wise? Before it was warned not to walk by yourself at night. To avoid muggings. Is it safer today to take a solo trip?

Where are most of the girls from nowadays? I know they came in flocks from different countries.

Wow Beetles just popped into my head, is it still there?

I remember staying at a chica friendly resort, beach front. Where so most people stay today Airbnb's or still at these resorts?

Thinking about going at the end of the month.

Hi,

I will be there in October and staying at the Best Western on the beach. I haven't been to Jaco in probably 5 or 6 years and was wondering how things are now. I'm sure things have changed post covid. Any insights or recommendations for where to go to meet the local ladies would be appreciated. Good bars or sites to arrange some fun.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance for advice.Costa Rica doesn't differentiate between regions in Colombia. If you enter the country from Colombia they will need to verify that you had a yellow fever vaccine at least one week before your departure. They supposedly will also take you temperature. No vaccination and they will probably ly send you back. The website I read is you can get by this by spending a week (not 6 days) in a non restricted country like the US or Canada and then transit to CR. Seems like it would be cheaper and easier to just get the jab in Colombia and wait a week.

The Cocal get women from all over Latin America. My favorites are the Cubans but there will be Venezuelans, Colombians, Dominicans and of course Costa Ricans.

I don't gamble so I can't really comment on game availability. The hotel itself is totally guest friendly.

Good luck.

Do you have link to official CR rule?

Do you have link to official CR rule?It certainly has been a rule and probably still is. They may or may not be enforcing it. And my understanding is that there is an exception for people over a certain age. I don't have a link but have seen this on a Costa Rica government site in the past, but I'm not going to do a someone else's search.

Do not set up anything with this flake. She is hot (not as hot as these photos though) and petite (I think 4' 10) but she has so much drama going on and flakes out, I cancelled the remainder of my time I had set up with her. Plus, she had a slightly bad odor from the puss that got worse as I fucked her. Not super strong but enough to be a turn off.

Cocal is the best club hands down in Jaco and the world. I'm planning an October trip, and know that the place is in full force. So what is the next option? I've always suggested the massage place girls, there are like 5 or 6 parlors on the strip, each with 4-8 girls out front. When I see one I like, I get her number and she comes to my place, we drink and relax and spend the night, and its amazing and fantastic. No more paying $20-$25/ round.

Any other clubs? I know Jaco Blu has an all night deal, maybe on Wednesdays if I remember?

TN.Tn, finding a girl in Jaco will be easier than finding salt water after jumping in the ocean. Cocal. Officially Hotel Cocal and Casino. Remains the center, you'll be floored by the number of girls there on any night. Hotel Oz is around the corner, an American type sportsbar with widescreens and billiards. Orange pub if you want more of a dance place, also Mancave. Point is the main strip between like that park there. Dankers? - its like the center park in Jaco. And Cocal is the main strip, walk up and down and take your pick. Bars, restaurants, clubs. The girls will be everywhere. Its one hell of a scene.

TN.I've been to Jaco twice and I'm planning on going in 2 weeks, best apps I found was tinder. Put your location in the area for jaco and start swipping. I've meet quite a few girls on there and metioned to them what I was looking for. You don't need to be a rockstar to pull women from the app, just don't be a complete creep either. Hope the info help.

Hey this is more of a question. I visited San Jose about 5 months ago. I loved it. I enjoyed the Taormina more so than HDR. My question is how is Jaco Beach in comparison to the area where HDR and Taormina is? To any who have been to both areas please feel free to give me your opinion. I'm headed back. To Costa Rica in about 10 days. Thanks in advance.

In San Jose you take cabs from place to place, the streets are completely dead. Don't know if theyre dangerous or just dead, but its not a walking around kinda scene. Jaco on the other hand between that park (Dankers Park on a map) and the cocal is one big scene with clubs, restaurants, massage parlors, girls all over the place. People walking up and down, music coming out of the clubs, crowds. Like college, but every girl there is yours.

Plenty of opportunities to meet a semi-pro or regular girl (gasp!

San Jose is cooler where as Jaco is terribly hot and humid. If you love nature, San Jose has tonnes and tonnes of more activities. Just search for day tours from San Jose. Jaco has only one attraction nearby. Carara national park is too far unless you are willing to spend 100 bucks just for fare. San Jose is dirty, old but has plenty of Pension for day time action and at least 4 pick up places in evening. Jaco has none in day time and only one in evenings which was very slow last month except on weekends. Both are safe during the day, risky in the night. Jaco is terribly hot and sunny during the day, San Jose is lovely before cloud roll in around 2 PM. Rates are higher or much higher in Jaco, lot more mercenaries.

Test both for yourself and then decide.

Cocal has a decent number of girls in the 7-8 range and a small casino which is nice, but it's an extreme stretch to say its the best club in the world. Jaco is far down my list on mongering destinations due to price and Jaco in general seems like a dying city. I put it a step up from Sosua. I did not notice the streets to be teaming with girls like you are making it out to be. I would rank it several steps behind Medellin. Jaco's beach was even sub par. It's literally covered in sharp shells so you can't stroll the wet sand and its not totally clean of trash either.

All that being said, you can still have a great weekend in Jaco, but it will certainly cost you much more than many other destinations and you are not as likely to get GFE. I personally would never recommend Jaco to anyone when many cities in Colombia and Mexico provide a much better time.

Look Magic, I know you favor Jaco for a few reasons. But the streets in Jaco, especially at night, are not safer than the streets around gringo gulch at night.Maybe you are right, maybe theyre both pretty safe. My impression around the gulch was that I took a cab everywhere. In Jaco, the safe area I'm talking about is the main strip (Pastor Diaz AVe) between the park (Dankers park) and the Cocal, where you have all the bars / open air restaurants and massage parlors. There is lots of traffic and lots of people, with girls hanging out everywhere. That area is safe. I can't speak to any of the outlying areas. But you go to any major city, and theres always an area you don't want to venture into.

I think this is a bit overstated. Have you travelled to Pattaya, Medellin, Sao Paulo or the German FKKs? Jaco and Cocal is pretty far down the list for me if it's just women you're going for. I'd even put Panama City ahead of it in Central America for just women. The prices are the same or cheaper in PTY with more selection. The beach just sucks and not much to do aside from shopping, the canal, and money laundering.

You could have an amazing time every night if you have the funds. Beach isn't the best but it is so much better than home for most of us. I am not an expert yet but I felt no safety issues in my experience.

Off topic, and I know I could just go to that thread, but could you provide a quick review of Sao Paulo? Would you recommend it over Rio?

Years ago, and I'm talking 10 or more years ago. Gringo Gulch was dangerous at night in fact the further you go down ave 1 the worse it gets. And Jaco was bad back then too. Once it gets past 10/11 at night a lot of Muchachos do start to roam around looking to rob the tourist. I was living in PZ at the time and went to Jaco plenty of times. I remember there was a newly built row of. 6 or 7 Condos in Jaco, purchased mostly by Gringos. One night a group of Ticos, armed broke thru the gate, tied up the security guard and went through every condo and stole everything they could. No One got killed but they roughed up the residents and a lot of them soon sold out at a loss. I remember one night around 1 am I was walking from the DEL Rey to the Hotel Morazan where my room was. I was drunk, stupid, with a girl and walking along the fence of the parking lot. 3 or 4 of the teens surrounded me and grabed whatever Colones I had and ran away. And that was long ago so I'm sure, as crime will do, it must be much worse today. Be safe, take cabs, don't get drunk and stay alert.

Of course all of YMMV. In the last 5 years I have been in those areas many many times and very rarely experienced any issues of note. The only one being a Nica Novio drunkenly yelled at me after he saw me come out of the cabins in Jaco with his lady. She was a working girl but he didn't like her working. I got in the taxi and split. There is danger anywhere but I sure feel safer in CR then the cities of the USA. Also there are many gringo property owners there and nowadays many rent them out for Airbnb especially in Jaco. Maybe due to the influx of cameras and property managers but the need for locals tourist $$ seem to outweigh robbing tourist.

Bottom line is yes stay alert and maybe not go to dark areas. But you should do that anywhere. CR is generally a very safe place.

Tinder is best bet. If pay 2 play chics will find their way if you invite them.

My Latin / South America tinder results have been fantastic in fact just about the absolute reverse of North America.

I just got back from CR and Jaco Beach. The area is pretty safe to walk around even at night. Some solid bars and restaurants to explore. Went to hotel Cocal for lunch on the patio overlooking the water. Food was good, several chicas hanging around the place. We came back that night and the place was hopping! Plenty to pick between. Fun place with good music. Picked up a very hot chica and brought her back to the hotel for some fun. $150 and had a great time. Great body. Next night we went to Orange Pub and had bottle service. Started out a little slow, but really picked up as it got a little later. Again, plenty to choose from. IMHO, no real need to arrange anything on an app. I prefer to window shop to see what catches my eye that night. Hope that helps some of you going there. Have fun and stay safe.

Are there any pensions in Jaco like there are in San Jose? I haven't been to Jaco in about 7 or 8 years. The last time I was there the go to spot was the Hotel Cocal, or something like that, with a casino in it. You would meet girls poolside. Is there anything like the scene in San Jose in Jaco?

For starters I have read the forum. I have also read CRT.

I am looking for a guest friendly hotel that has a pool and a party scene.

I know AirBnB is an easier option and there are plenty that allow guests but my friend that is traveling with wants the pool and party scene.

My research had led me to believe the following are all guest friendly options:

Hotel Cocal.

Hotel South Beach.

Hotel Girasol.

Hotel Canciones del Mar.

Are there more? Has anyone recently stay at any of these? Feedback? Any feedback is appreciated as this will be my rookie voyage to CR.

Canciones Del Mar is now Hotel Jaco. I have stayed there twice. Totally guest friendly and about 8 minute walk to the Cocal across the bridge. It really doesn't have a party atmosphere. Great pool and most rooms are suites with full kitchens and priced a lot less than the Cocal. I enjoyed my stay there.

I don't know any hotels except for the Cocal that have a significant "party environment" though I have never been to the other two hotels you listed.

My advice is stay somewhere else and walk to the Cocal or some of the clubs to party. Anyone you meet will accompany you back to your room.

Hotel Jaco looks great. So no trouble at all bringing girls from Cocal there?I've stayed there twice and never had an issue. I emailed the owner prior to my first stay and he said that as long as they were reasonably dressed and well behaved they were welcome to use all of the hotel facilities including the pool with you. If they look like an obvious hooker then you just have to take them directly to your room.

But things can always change and its been a few months since I was there. I would email the owner to confirm. He is a gringo and has heard it before.

Just thought I'd share. I will be visiting Jaco in a couple of weeks. Both Hotel Jaco and Hotel Cocal are booked up the time I will be visiting. I communicated with Hotel Jaco and asked for recommendations. One of the hotels they recommended is Hotel Amapola.

They state they are guest friendly and for a $10 fee guests can visit! Making a reservation is a bit of a challenge due to the language difference:

Ill let you all know how it goes.

It is noted for its nightly Texas Hold'them Poker Game run by a couple of Americans who had the game at the Cocal several years ago. I have never stayed there so I can't comment on the rooms. But it is very fairly remote and a good hike to the Cocal and the center of town. If you're a poker player the game usually starts at 6 PM and runs as long as they have 5/6 guys playing. They run an occasional tournament. Good luck!

Making my first trip to Jaco in a few weeks. Yes I have read the *forum.

Unfortunately it is during the week. Where are the best spots to hit? Is Cocal the only game in town?

Is there any day game?

What's the best website to meet ladies before? Latin Cupid?

Are there any pensions in Jaco?

I have one free day, with nothing planned (mid week) then I fly out the following day. Should I go to San Jose a day early, as the pensions are a given?

Thanks to all that answered my hotel question last week. I went with Hotel Jaco and will review when I return!

Be safe my friends!

Be safe my friends!Cocal!

During the day there are a few Massage Parlors north of the Cocal. The massage parlor on the ocean side of the street that is on the second floor (sorry the name escapes me at the moment) is the best of several IMO. There is an occasional good looking girl or two working out of the 4/5 places available on either side of the street. Most offer covered full service at an upgraded fee. A few will do BBBJ for an upgraded fee. When you hit one of these places and get to the room. They will almost always attempt to upsell you for a two girl session at a discounted rate. No matter how tempting. Don't do it. I bit one time two years ago and it was probably the worst hobbying session I've ever had. In the room, it will be a non-stop upsell of services at twice the price and the girls become extremely inhibited about doing anything other than covered services in front of each other. My half hour session included four (4) condom changes as the girls wouldn't suck or fuck without a new condom. It was honestly one of the worst session of my hobbying career and the girls were young and good looking.

Another bonus, some of these girls are more than happy to give you their Whatsapp and stop by your place either on their way to work or on their way home. I met a girl last year that lived in a town I never heard of 30 minutes north of Jaco. She took the bus every day to the Massage Parlor. We agreed for her to stop at my condo at 8 AM for a couple of hours before work with two pops / two hours for $200. The tricky part was getting her into the condo from the beach as the condo I stayed in had a 6 AM curfew for hookers. It honestly was better than anything I had at the Cocal all week.

The Massage Parlors on the North end of town. Especially the one on the second floor on the West Side of the street. Girls will do F / S and BBBJ for upgraded fees. Takeout is available after hours with some of the girls via Whatsapp. All the parlors will try to upsell you with a two girl special. Don't do it. I had the worst hobbying session of my career with two very good looking girls because they became very inhibited. The 45 minute session included 4 condom changes because neither girl would fuck or suck without a new rubber.

These girls obviously were concerned about avoiding diseases, and not just pregnancy. It's not that much of an annoyance if you limit the switching back and forth.

I am thinking of visiting the Cocal again. It would be my third time. My first two times, it was a long weekend, Wed to Sat stay. This time, to make it work, I might have to make it a Sun to Wed thing.

How is the poolside action on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday? Does it decrease by a little? A lot? Is it dead?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure you can get a girl at the end of the night to go back to Amapola. But the Cocal girls for the most part like to turn over several guys a day. Amapola takes them out of play for extended time. You'll have to pay for that during peak hours at Cocal if they will go at all?

Thanks in advance! It decreases a lot. The girls from San Jose are on their way home by Sunday afternoon. And a lot of the full time girls take Monday off, usually to spend time with their kids and spoil them with all the weekend money they've made. There are still a lot to choose from, but they are almost all done by Midnight, not the 2_3 am you have on the weekend.

It gets a little better Tues, and keeps building as you get closer to the weekend.

Booked to return to Jaco but need advice on where to stay. I was there last summer and I stayed at Copacabana / naked iguana. It was ok but a little weird. I was thinking about staying in Cocal since that's where most of the action is. Only the rooms are a little pricey and I hear the rooms are small. I also hear Hotel Jaco is guest friendly and they have decent rooms. Which would be the better stay? And how far apart are they? Close enough where the girls wouldn't mind walking?

I'll be in Jaco for a week starting Thursday afternoon. Then up to the SL in San Jose next week.

Very familiar with massage parlor prices on the main drag in Jaco.

After going to the Cocal for past ten years, well aware of pricing discrepancies and variations based on quantity and quality of the ladies. And obviously the quality of your own game. Last few (COVID) years have seen some crazy pricing swings. Last year had one 30 YO Venezuelan with fake cans and bumba with Covered everything service asking $500 a night only to be left at the altar every night that I was there. Another cute early 20's Nicaraguan gem was asking $200 for long-time (5 AM) curfew at the Bahia Azul was gone every night by 8 PM.

But. Can anyone update the thread on what the good looking Ticas are asking the average gringo for short stay / long stay currently at the Cocal now?

Hey brothers,

I'm writing from the cocal just getting ready to check out.

Last night there were about 30-40 girls at the bar easily a 2 to 1 ratio. All asking about $200 for a short time but willing to negotiate.

I saw a few 7-8's and maybe a 9. I understand that the best are only available during the weekend.

Most of the town was dead except the Cocal.

If I would have prepared better and had more time I would have taken a surf lesson and surfed during the day.

Compared to San Jose early in the week there are less girls and higher prices. But hands down Jaco is more relaxed vacation environment compared to San Jose. Candidly, no offense to the guys that like the city, I'll take the beach any day. San Jose is a bit of a dump and I would recommend Panama City, Panama over San Jose anyday.

Hi guys. Was in CR last month ans wanted to share 1 piece of info. Contrary to what I've read in multiple threads, English was widely spoken by the girls in Cocal. Certainly enough to negotiate terms. Went on a Thur night and there were some real dolls. And some dogs as well. One offered EVERYTHING for $40 on the way in. Want to guess whch category she fit into! Also, took some negotiating but many agreed to BBBJ. Not at first, but they tend to circle back. I will definitely return.

Spent 5 days in Jaco:

Scorecard took 3 mid 20's girls home from the Cocal 8's on my scale. Was very crowded Super Bowl Weekend. Seems like the girls have unionized. Everyone was asking $200 for 2 +/- hours MSOG GFE. Had one girl let me upgrade to BBFS for $50 extra. Suprisingly the town emptied out BEFORE Super Bowl Sunday. Saturday the Cocal was packed to the rafters. We ended up sitting in the back with the band. It was great as all the girls circulated back there eventually.

Did two massages at the 2nd floor place (Dreams or Aroma Spa? North of the cocal on beach side of the street. Very hot girls. Pricey but good massages also with girl named Heather and another Heidi?? Do not take the two girl upsell! Massage was $30 for both. HJ was $60, CBJ asked $100 gave $80, FS (did not partake) both asked $200 probably could have negotiated $150 didn't try. Both girls offered outcall and upgraded services. Both were from towns north of Jaco. Very pretty and young early to mid 20's.

Thanks guys!I've stayed in beach side apartments at both Bahia Azul and Bahia Encantada. Azul is on the south end of the beach. Encantada on the north. I've stayed in both. Both were great. Large apartment complexes with gaited parking and large pools. In 2020 in the midst of COVID, there were 4 Cocal Hookers staying in the apartment below us. All gorgeous. My wingman and I never left the place except to hit Mas X Menos to shop for food.

I believe they are both rented by Del Luz which is across the street from the KFC on the north end of town. The agency has an 800 line and whatsapp.

Hope that helps.

Thanks guys!Just google "bachelor pad Jaco Costa Rica airbnb" and it will pull up a great place. I've stayed there like 4-5 times. Right in the center, its next to everything. Great internet, owners a California bachelor dude who lives nearby. Doesn't care about bringing in chicas, just be cool and quiet. No loud music, no parties, which is great as I can be working all hours and need to sleep. Place was a lifesaver to me, I found it when I basically got kicked out of a nearby gated condo community when I tried to sneak in a girl. I show my appreciation by passing along the good word on this place.

Place is modern, great internet and cheap, like $50/ night, even less after high season.

Looks like the Cocal side street will become ground zero for girls. The Republik Lounge just opened a stones throw from Cocal, nothing wrong with a little competition. I walked in early on a weeknight and was impressed, nice pool, huge bar, and a real nightclub. Went back on a weekend. The place was jamming lots of girls. I love the energy of good dance scene, and this place definitely has it. More so than Cocal. But Cocal and Republik are so close together its a natural bar hop.

Any comments / updates please let us know thank you!!

Just google "bachelor pad Jaco Costa Rica airbnb" and it will pull up a great place.

Place is modern, great internet and cheap, like $50/ night, even less after high season.Place looks like a shit hole. Jaco is a dead city. Too many dudes thinking its going to be like 2005 Jaco and show up disappointed. Worst part is girls are charging USA Prices and giving USA Service. Would never return.

Would never return. You are looking at the wrong place, the google search "bachelor pad Jaco Costa Rica airbnb" pulls up a lot of Airbnbs. The one hosted by superhost Joe, an american guy, is the one I'm talking about. Its rated like 4. 9, modern everything, and is great for digital nomad guys who want a quiet inexpensive chica friendly place to work hard all day then get the real reward at night. You get a workspace apartment, not a room where you're working on the bed.

USA prices are $500 and up, Jaco is $100-$150.

And Jaco is my #1 trip and always will be. The whole town is yours, its one big oceanside guy paradise. Any place is what you make it. Treat the girls like human beings and theyll do the same to you.

It is more expensive than other places but a cool place to get your feet wet in the hobby. Not the best beach in the world but its still fun. People talk about this in such extremes haha its not the best place in the world for the hobby but if you want a chill beach town, hot latinas, and closer to the homeland (assuming most are from USA or Canada) then Jaco is a fine option.

Your dollar goes so much further in Mexico, Colombia, DR, etc. 50 $ a night is usually 4 star hotels in most latin american places. That place is 2 star at best. I am sure you can find nicer accomdations somewhere in Jaco for same price and if you can't, all the mroe reason to skip Jaco and go somewhere much better.

Yes Jaco is better than USA, but not by much. USA is about 300 $ a fuck, Jaco is $150. The beach is so shitty you can't even walk on it. Do you really want to fly for 5-8 hours and then drive an hour to Jaco to save 150 $ a fuck and stay in a 2-star joint? No, that's nonsense. There are so many better options if you wan't have a fun weekend and they are all cheaper as well. Sad to say, but I must spit the truth, Jaco is very low on the list on mongering destinations because guys keep thinking it's going to be like it was 20 years ago and that just isn't the case. Pick any big city in Colombia or Mexico if you want to monger for a weekend, its going to be better.

The only thing Jaco has going for it, is if you are a surfer and you don't like the very high humidity of a place like Cancun or Cartagena. Beyond that we should start spreading the truth that Jaco is not worth a visit until it gets better.

A little more Americanizing and the cost will be $300 per hour there, and the murder rate will double again.

So I've been to Jaco twice in the past but that was always with a Spanish speaking friend and we always got a rental and he took care of logistics. If you were traveling by yourself and don't really speak Spanish, what is the best approach? Is it to book ahead of time or can you just pop into the airport and then get an official taxi through the airport and then go from there without overpaying. And how much would it be roughly? Would they also provide taxi services from Jaco to back to the airport? Any advice would be helpful and highly appreciated.

As far as Cocal, it's always a good time. I can't think of another place with the girl to guy ratio is so skewed towards women. I've seen guys on crutches leave with someone, it's so easy. You can pop in and be out with some a new lady friend with 5 minutes. But any advice on similar places in the western hemisphere would be appreciated.

A red taxi or an orange taxi from the airport should charge you a similar price if you want to ride solo from 120 to 130 coming from airport or calling one from city center.

Keep the taxis Whattsapp info and they can arrange to pick you up in Jaco and take you back to airport for same price. Agree on a flate rate and they will not run the meter.

You can also ask your hotel to call the taxi so they have the taxi number on file.

A bus from San Jose center 655 route is like 10 bucks.

Have fun flying solo!

I use Vanessa, who owns ShuttleBug Transportation. https://shuttle506.com She speaks very good English and can provide a lot of good intel.

As for better places than Cocal in the Western Hemisphere? Try a high-end boate in Sao Paulo. One trip to Scandellos and you'll recognize Cocal for the pale imitation that it is. On the other hand, it's a lot closer to the US.

I was told that Colombians need a visa for Costa Rica these days whereas they don't for Panama. That may skew things.

Hey guys,

I am planning a trip to Cocal for sometime in early July. The last time I went to Cocal was 4-5 years ago, before COVID. And I always went in high season, never in the rainier months.

The flights I am looking at land at about 8 pm in SJO. I rented a car in the past, and think its an easy drive. I am trying to decide whether to drive to Jaco from the airport after dark, versus just sleeping at an airport hotel and renting the car the next morning. But then that would be wasting a night.

What is the drive like after dark?

Anyone familiar with driving the route in July? Do roads get washed out by rainstorms often?

Thanks in advance!

But any advice on similar places in the western hemisphere would be appreciated.Check out St. Maarten (the Dutch side). Several brothels within a few blocks of each other. Overwhelming number of Columbian and Dominican girls. $50 per half hour. The local language is English and USD is the common currency. Nice beaches. Hotels are cheap. Supposed to be great restaurants on the French side.

It's hard for me to get motivated to try anywhere else.

Thanks in advance!July is in rainy season, and sometimes there are problems on the roads. Totally unpredictable though. Rainy season is actually the majority of the year. Roughly April-May to November-December. But there can be lots of good weather too. Often the rain is thunderstorms. But sometimes soakers that last for a few days. Anyway driving at night rain or no rain is a gamble and if you land at 8 pm you may not get out of the airport right away. So even if it goes well you will be on the road by 9:30 say. I would wait till morning, but that's just me.

Unless you live in New York, Miami or Houston, going there turns a 1 stop flight into a 2 or 3 stop flight. But if you have never been there before, I would definitely recommend visiting there at least once.

Very pretty and young early to mid 20's.Hey Great post. Must have been a great 5 days. MSOG is a nice upgrade. I usually spend my time in San Jose and travel to places with girls from there but would love to go solo to Jaco some time Curious what the unionized prices were for Todo La Noche in Cocal when you were there recently. Thanks.

Fellas,

Jsut returned from an 8-day jaunt to SJO / Jaco and wanted to share some observations.

Transportation. Used Shuttlebug (Vanessa) on several occasions (To / FR Jaco) and she is truly awesome. Her prices are very competitive with other services and her vehicle is late model and kept very clean. Not to mention, she is a sweetheart of a lady. Please treat her well.

Colones. Having been to CR several times, I thought it sensible to pre-order $700 of colones prior to arriving. This worked out quite well except for the fact that my bank (BofA) sold me a mixture of new currency and old. It seems CR upgraded their colones 18 months ago and nobody thought to tell BofA prior to selling them to me. I tried at 3-4 venues and nobody would accept. The crisis was averted as I went to a local bank (SJO) and they exchanged for me. However, it took some explaining as I did not have an account at the local bank.

Cocal. Lots of talent of all shapes, ages and sizes. I have been to Cocal several times and never knew there was a smaller bar adjacent to the restaurant (beach-side). Truth be told, I prefer this bar location better than the main bar adjacent to the pool area as it was quiet and away from the "hustle". I was able to get 3 S / Ts for $80-$100 each. Service ran from average to above average.

Oz Sports Bar. Spent some time at this sports bar as I was looking for a change-up. The drinks and service are quite good. Certainly has a different vibe than the other places in Jaco. A great place to hang out after picking up talent from the local areas.

I went to the Cocal for gambling and curious to see what the bars were like. Holy crap, must have been 5 + girls for every guy, every kind of girl, looks, every color, size and shape a mongers paradise. Couldn't walk a step without a hey babe, etc. Did not participant because frankly after 3 days with non pro and at my age (53) I was glad of the night off. But worth going just for sights.

Oh on the gambling played about 100 hands of Rummy (basically blackjack without the blackjack bonus, but with other payouts) I lost 50 $.

4 nights at Cocal and 1 night in San Jose. All the reports here were spot on about the girls, the bars and the overall vibe. I would like to point out one thing that nobody mentioned that there is a bus service from SJO to Jaco every hour for about $7 one-way. All we had to do is buy tkt online with pickup location "Puente Villa Bonita" which is less than 5 minutes taxi ride from SJO. On return from Jaco to SJO, the bus will stop right outside of the airport. I took the return and it took exactly 2 hrs from Jaco Central Station to Airport. If you are solo and light on luggage, this is the best option to get to Jaco from the airport. Easy $200 savings on round trip.

Just came back from Jaco and it was great.

I have never felt like a piece of meat before, and it was kinda fun.

The second I walked in, I was groped, tugged, and forced to grab by the girls there.

My airbnb didn't allow guest, but according to some of the girls, they said it wouldn't be a problem. They mentioned they can talk to the security guard. You can also rent a room for 40 at Cocal for the duration if you don't already have a place.

Most were asking for 200 but there is room to haggle. Snagged a couple between 100-150.

I would totally go back for a boys trip when the wives are away.

I'm going sooner so will let you know. From what I've read, Cocal is still always packed so I'm sure that is where all the action will be. How were your previous trips? Any tips you can share?Just a few general things to consider; all should have been previously reported on:

-Make sure where you're staying is guest friendly.

-The girls will start high and most will ultimately settle for lower, rather than " stand around all night". It's always a good idea to discuss what you're paying for so there are no surprises. NEVER PAY UPFRONT! You may also consider to ask her if she has any "extras"; which will cost more.

-Jaco is typically a safe place, though there are some sketchy types outside the gates who know there are gringos inside who have cash on them. Keep your whits and don't get so sloppy drunk that makes you a target.

-If you make a connection and take a girl to wherever you're staying, don't let your guard down to valuables in your room or the potential that a girl could slip something into your drink.

If you have specific questions, best to ask.

Just a few tips.

Anything to watch out for if visiting one of them? Most all of the massage parlors will have the girls out on the sidewalk hawking for clients. While I have no direct experience myself, I know of a few gents who inquired about "extra services" and received them for compensation. It never hurts to ask, right? One of my favorite things to do when walking the main strip is check out the many massage parlor girls who are ready to jump all over you just like Bangkok. I walk up one side the street, then back the other so I see them all. When one catches my eye I get her name and number, which is the number of the massage place.

I keep this in reserve for nights that I don't want to go out to Cocal, G spot, orange bar, republik etc all the places. I call up and get her to come over whenever. Typically I'll drink a few glasses of wine and have a bottle of Fireball Whiskey ready (very popular with all the girls). I'll get a massage, typcically 40, and then extras, 125. They all, I mean all, offer extras. Never had one who didn't. A great way to mellow out after 10 hours on zoom, its the real carrot on the stick that gets you through the workday. The true reward.

Most all of the massage parlors will have the girls out on the sidewalk hawking for clients. While I have no direct experience myself, I know of a few gents who inquired about "extra services" and received them for compensation. It never hurts to ask, right? Can anyone tell me how Jaco us during Sunday to Wednesday before the weekend hits.

Are there still a lot of baddies available.I'm there twice per year, and always go for a week to 10 days. One can always find gals during the week Sun-Thurs, but the numbers are just lower. So rather than have 100-150 girls on a weekend, there may be 50-60 that come through. The key is not too go to late nor too early. There are still enough to find one you like, I have never had an issue during the week finding a good one.

Not able to see anything explicitly mentioned here about how many pops included in the 30 minutes for most girls.

Looks like the standard rate is $60 for 30 min. Do chicas typically let you go the full time regardless of finishing early?

As to your second question that would vary. Just ask for a bit more massage if you popped early. They are not likely to kick you out after 10 minutes if you paid for the basic half hour, but you may need to communicate that.

Hello everyone! I'm planning my first solo trip to Jaco and looking for guest-friendly, quieter accommodations near Cocal. Is staying at Cocal recommended, and is it noisy there? I've also got a rental car deal but considering hiring a driver for my first time in Costa Rica. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I've seen some contradicting reports. My girl and I are thinking of booking at the BW for various reasons, and will have a car.

If we pickup a girl in town and drive her into the resort ourselves, would that work? I know if the girls show up by themselves then they will not be allowed in. But what if I drive her in?

Thanks all.

I'm looking to split time between SJ, & Jaco. It's been 10 or so years since I stayed in SJ. From what I found via search.

-AT&T works fine in both SJ & Jaco assuming the $10 international pass fee / day added. Anyone had issues?

-Gyms / mongers hangout, Sportsmens or Taormina seem most abundant for like minded gents? Gym, both have a good one. 24 hours?

-Jaco hotels, seems a variety of places. What are the most affordable chica friendly places? Any monger hangouts in Jaco?

-Laundry service offered at hotels?

I am planning a few weeks with 3/4 days in Jaco with rest in SJ. Hoping January. Any other tips would be appreciated!

Thanks all!

Thanks all!On San Jose, yep, Sportsmens Lodge and Taormina. The gym at Sportsmans is very minimal, and it would be locked up overnight, not sure of the hours. Don't know about gym at Taormina. Sportsmens can have your laundry done for a fee.

Jaco. Cocal. The chica friendly part changes from time to time in most other places.

Only negatives. The bar / restaurant is pricey but a lot of good places to eat nearby.

Room rates really went up after the remodel.

Anyone have any information on traveling by bus to jaco? Booked a flight to CR in January and would not prefer not to shell out $100 for a taxi to Jaco.

Checked Hotel Jaco on my dates and they were booked but I asked on their WhatsApp and they allowed "guests" for those interested. Diamante del Sol Does does as well but only after 10 pm. Otherwise it's a good spot to book if it's 2+ travelers.

Also during my trips to jaco the massage places during the day didn't have anyone interesting. The girls were. Not great.

Beyond that, any tips for places to book for solo travelers at jaco? Prefer a quiet place but close to Cocal.

Prefer a quiet place but close to Cocal. Can't speak to taking a bus from the airport, but if you're leaving from the downtown terminal in San Jose it's easy and cheap. Just be aware that the regular buses don't have A / C so it pays to get on early for a window seat. Once you get into Jaco proper, pay attention because there are two stops in town and you have to ding the bell or the driver will keep going. Heading back to San Jose, the bus station is on the edge of town and a long-ish walk but also a cheap cab ride.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'd be ok risking them not letting the girl in. But if we are also at risk of getting kicked out, that is not worth it. That is very helpful insight.

Looks like the better option is the pickup a girl at Cocal, and get a room there or nearby. Any suggestions for clean and safe places near Cocal? Cocal seems to be around $200 USD a day.

And the prices are whatever you can negotiate at the Cocal. It is the marketplace. Nothing else in town really. Girls will ask whatever they think they might get at the time you ask. On a busy night with big spenders in the place they might not budge off of 200 or 250 or more for the high demand chicas, and sometimes later in the evening or during slower times might be open to less.

You could pick up a chica like at 7 or 8 in the evening, go fuck, then go out to dinner (on the monger of course) or listen to some live music or whatever you wanted to do. Then go back to the room and fuck again and go to sleep. Then one more fuck in the morning before the chica left for home. Is this kind of action no longer possible in Costa Rica for that price? At the time I was going the standard hourly rate was $100 per hour, but you could often get a chica for less in the daytime like maybe $50 for a quickie to around $70 for an hour. I only did toda del la noche with my favorites, and at $300 for the entire package with dinner or an inexpensive night out thrown in, I considered it a deal.

Daytime hunting in Jaco is limited. That said, most of the chicas are from out-of-town and the daytime is downtime for them. Get numbers in the evening then Whatsapp them during the day. Most will be amenable to some cheaper action than standard nighttime prices.

All were toda la noche. There were plenty of Colombians, Nicaraguans, Dominicans who enjoy a nice room and breakfast. I would pay some $50 to accompany me for sightseeing in my car and after return one more round before I took a nap and get ready for the night. Sometimes I keep them for another night for dinner and dancing at a local club. There was a nice French restaurant on top of a hill with nice views of the city. Not sure if it is still there. I took them to arenal hot springs for a dip ogled by locals seeing bazookas on a Colombian.

Will be making a trip next May and will report on current situation.

Jaco is definitely over hyped, if you are US based you are better off border towns or San Jose or in Tamarindo with dating scenes. Jaco is nothing but expensive "cheap" behaving place. Much different experience for mongers who wants to play it safe, and in more safer environment. Cocal is a definitely a place to avoid especially late in night after 11 pm as good ones don't come until 8 pm and bad ones remain after 10 pm. If you like she-males and like to tame the rough ones and play it rough with $150/ hour and $40/ room head to Jaco, in general this place is run-down and not a great place for mongering even worth spending time to look in expensive Costa Rica.

In 10 years of going to Jaco and Cocal, I've never pulled a girl from there. What I usually do is if the girl I like at Cocal is visiting the Cocal, I'll get her WhatsApp and arrange to meet her another day back in San Jose. I save at least $100 that way. My hotel of choice in Jaco is "Hotel South Beach"; a Hotel Del Rey run property that is girl friendly. Another act I've done is if I see a girl at Cocal that I've done before in San Jose, is to hit her up and see if she wants to come hang out at my hotel pool the next afternoon. Most girls will hop on some pool time, drinks at their tiki bar, some lunch and relaxing before they go back to the grind of Cocal later that night. A good majority of the girls at Cocal come from San Jose for a night with the hopes of big cash. Guess I'm just not a Cocal kinda guy other than to eye the candy and explore cheaper options. Back in the day, you used to find a hot girl at the HDR and take her to Jaco for the night. Now, I'd only do that with a girl I've had before, so I know what I'm getting.

Jaco has changed and so has the Cocal. Ten years ago the Monkey and Beatle Bar were great places to find exception early twenty local Ticas to fuck all night for $150 max. The game has changed considerably.

As an alternative, I've been hitting up a couple of the massage parlors at the north end of town where the Ticas are more country and local. Many take the bus down to work and head home after the day shift around 5 pm ish. I've been fortunate since 2021 to find some hidden gems that I previously reviewed last year. A couple were willing to visit me before or after work for $200 for 2-2. 5 hours usually if I was up to it. Two shots. The downside in 2021 and 2022, I stayed in Playa Azul and there were a multitude of issues bringing girls in during the daytime. Last year rented house on the beach with some fishing friends. No problem. This year staying at Cocal for Superbowl. Plan to see what new talent is working at the massage joints. Good luck everyone!

Thursday evening onwards are probably 3:1 ratio of girls to guys. Even at midnight, girls keep rolling in, the locals remarked with the turnout tonight. Every type you can imagine: thin, thick, natural, enhanced, done up, light, dark, curly haired, etc. Girls roll in on Thursday and stay a couple nights.

It's a bit more quiet earlier on the week and in the day.

Did anyone go recently to Cocal? Any reports? Going there next week. Will report back on overall experience, prices, etc.I was in Jaco for 10 days in the middle of December and pretty much hit Cocal every night. Prices have definitely gone up since covid, top tier girls were asking for $200-300, I stuck firm at $150 and usually bagged them. Although a couple got $180 out of me, but they were absolute dimes. There are cheaper girls available of course, just depends what your preference is.

December is a weird time though, vast majority of girls are Costa Rican as all the others return home for Christmas so my experience might be an isolated one.

Did anyone go recently to Cocal? Any reports? Going there next week. Will report back on overall experience, prices, etc.I took a long weekend trip to Jaco a couple weeks ago. Landed on Friday and left on Monday. It was my second time in Costa Rica and my first time in Jaco (first time in CR was San Jose). Cocal was pretty nice although I had been led to believe the prices would be lower. Almost every girl said she charged $200 for an hour then immediately lowered it to $150 "just for you". So I'm guessing $150 is the starting point for negotiation.

I ended up taking a short, full figured (yes, full figured, not fat) Tica back to my Airbnb for happy time for $150. Probably could have negotiated a lower price but whatever. She was a great time. Everything covered including oral. They seem to be very safety conscious which is a good thing but man I wish I could have gotten a BBBJ.

Speaking of safety, beware of pickpockets.

Speaking of safety, beware of pickpockets.Same experience with me. I was there a week ago. Got there on a Friday and left on Monday. Uber ride was $100 from the airport to Jacó. Definitely a price increase from 2022 when I was last there. Stayed at an Airbnb owned by an American that allowed "guests" during the day which was a nice option. Didn't partake with any day time activities but an older gentleman staying nearby definitely did. Food prices definitely went up as well due probably to inflation and even perhaps Mr Putin rolling his tanks in eastern Ukraine. Somehow ended up paying $18 for a burrito in orange juice at the pink sunrise breakfast joint. Other places we ate at didn't see that much of a significant pricing increase but otherwise I felt like I was eating food back home and not in an inexpensive Latin American country. Weather was beautiful due to it being the dry season so maybe that was the price for the uptick in prices.

Anyways, Cocal is great as always. The girls I talked to started at $200 but depending on the time of night and the girl they can go lower. First night was $200 because I allowed myself to be enamored with the girl but otherwise the Saturday and Sunday girls I had were $150. Some girls if they value themselves highly or are extremely beautiful will either stay at 200 or even more. Girls during the day at Cocal won't budge from $200 where I wanted $100 for some afternoon delight. The way I look at it I am saving money while they are losing. There is no way I am paying 150 or $200 during the day. As for the $150, I was happy enough to pay it when I usually got there around 9 pm. Place was packed with so many girls it boggles the mind and with so much variety it's insane. The nice thing about Cocal is that you don't even have to try. Everyone there knows what the game is. It's a toy store where you pick what you want and leave. No.

Rizz needed, just a smile and some cash and your off to the races.

I bet only 10 - 20% of the girls get any action; the rest are just window dressing, LOL. It can be a bit overwhelming as you sit at the bar and get attacked from all sides by girls who want to get you to buy them and overpriced drink. If I recall, beers alone are about $6. Problem is, they're almost hardcore and you can forget about any GFE treatment; strictly business at the Cocal. Back in the day, you'the meet a girl in the Hotel Del Rey and take the girl to Jaco for a weekend. That business model no longer get exists.

The girl was timid and first time there looking to make some extra cash. Apparently came from the Altantic coast. She sat on the sidelines hoping someone would go up to her. Luckily my buddy spoke Spanish because she spoke zero English. They got on well enough and everyone was happy. Maybes it's a just rarity since most girls are to aggressive especially when going through the "gallant" trying to find a seat. Yea most girls won't get any probably and definitely that's the impression I got. Most stand around or go with their usual "what is your name, where are you from" script. It's honestly a little cringe. Cocal is definitely on the pricier side but I wasn't hounded to get drinks or food by the bar staff luckily.

Also I forgot to mention during my last post, but stay away from Miami airport if possible. Going through custom is a disaster and likely to miss your connecting flight if you have one. Try to avoid at all costs.

I've typically found it to be a 10-1 girls to guys, they are just waiting for you. And I think if you ask around you can find a girl to go to Jaco for the weekend as they all go down there anyway. But to me, Jaco is the last place to be tied down to one girl.

I rarely have an issue with GFE, and I'm not the greatest looking guy. Think about any business where you are face to face with customers. There are customers who are ok, customers you like, and finally there are the 5% you love and want to take home for dinner. Be the 5%. Dress well, approach her respectfully. Compliment her, then buy her a drink. Ask where she is from, be friendly, act happy and excited to hear her answers. Follow up her comments, and always be positive about her. Finally remember the warm response of the human heart has no price.

Remember she is human, just like you. Meeting a stranger for the first time, she will naturally be intimidated and guarded, even if she doesn't act it. Act caring, supportive, and keep it lighthearted. She is willing to be a provider for you. I mean, she wouldn't be there in the first place if she wasnt. Make it easy for her, and make her feel good emotionally, and she'll be a great provider. Trust me, it works.

I'm planning my return to Costa Rica later this year after many years away chasing the "cho cho" in other lands. It pains me to read of chicas wanting to charge $200 for an hour, including in the daytime! There's no way in the world I'm paying that. Back when I first started going the daytime was a good time to cut a deal with a cute girl from between $50 to $70. Then in the evenings the girls mostly held at $100. But $200 for daytime action? Not going to happen! No way, no how! I'm not paying that for evening action either! But, I'm really looking forward to this trip though. It will be an "anniversary celebration" of sorts I guess. Planning to split some time between San Jose, and then Jaco where I have never been (Jaco wasn't a "thing" when I was regularly going). One question I have that maybe somebody can fill me in on. How are the chicas for allowing mongers to take pictures these days? I mean I use to get all kinds of great shots during my past trips to Costa Rica! Virtually all of the girls were willing (a few even showed their faces). I hope at least that much has not changed for the worse!

I've done some research and I have some ideas (like a shuttle bus service for around $40), but was wondering if anybody has any favorite shuttle bus companies or private drivers they would like to recommend (especially based in Jaco)? I know about "Vanessa". Cocal said they would shuttle me back and forth for $120 each way. Uh no way Jose (no pun intended)! That's like three times the price I can get from somebody else for the same kind of service! Not going to happen. Not on the ground yet and already trying to gouge a gringo! Also still looking for some feedback on what the "photo culture" is like in Costa Rica these days. It was outstanding years back!

Hey fellas,

Planning a Jaco trip in the coming weeks. I have been to the Cocal several times and was looking to frequent again. In the past I have rented a car, but in reality, barely used it. I have always ended up parking at the hotel and never using it. I rented it mainly so that I would have a fail-safe way back to the airport on the day of my flight.

But this time I wanted to consider other options. Private rides, whether provided by the Cocal or other operators, all seem to cost $120.

I did find one shared shuttle, Easy Ride Shuttle, that does trip to and from the airport 4 x / day. It only costs $40.

Has anyone ever used Easy Ride before? Either that, or, does anyone have any other options. I can do it, but $120 seems a little pricey for a 90 minute ride.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!Very seldom is it a "90 minute ride". Trips to or from Jaco can easily be anywhere from 2 - 4 hours; depending on traffic. Driving in the SJO region is a nightmare. If you do it in 90 minutes, you're lucky!

https://youtu.be/O0fouZTClLk?si=_qJ6f2liTldlD1G7Thanks, TC. What other shuttles have you heard about?

That video mostly talks about going taking the bus from the city. I am interested in getting there to and from the airport.

I only found one other shuttle in the same price range. Its called the Pink Bus, or something like that. It only has one trip per day. Easy Ride has 4.

I remember inquiring with Vanessa on a previous trip, but she also charged $120. If its over $80, I may as well take the Cocal shuttle for the reliability.

Renting a car, with all the insurance is something like $70/day if you get all the insurance. It used to be much cheaper. Now rental car prices are out of control.

If you plan to start your trip with one or a few days in SJ before going to Jaco, look up the buses out of 7/10 terminal that can take you to Jaco for less than $10 each way. Might take a little longer, but they go every two hours in an air conditioned, comfortable enough bus for cheap. On the return trip you could hop out at the airport.

And the article is silly. Guy is pretending to be so naive and shocked at what he sees, and afraid to talk to people. Nice journalistic touch that is.

The BW definitely does not allow guests, and is otherwise pretty mediocre and regret staying there. There is one other place that does not allow guests, but I don't know the name.

The bar at cocal was a great pickup spot. 200 for the girl and 50 for a pretty crummy room at the place next door, for an hour. Not sure if that was too high, but a good time was had.

But as for the Cocal. The girls are all independent and depending on how their night is going they may ask for 150,200, 250,300, etc. Dollars. And if you look like a high roller and new to the place the higher end is more likely. They have a sort of minimum that can be enforced between the girls so if you need to make a deal below around $150 US do it in a quiet place where the girl will not be overheard accepting such a lowball offer. For their safety and comfort. In off hours and outside, etc. Offers and negotiation can be more useful.

I was at the Cocal every night from Friday before Super Bowl and left the Thursday morning after. I saw a total of 1 girl, a Nicaraguan who spent 2 hours with me for $200 2 pops 22 yo, gorgeous. All pre negotiated at the back bar where the band plays. The going rate is $200 and up. I have literally seen good looking girls eat dinner, drink all night, sit, walk, talk till 2 am and not make a dime but hear guys offer them $150 for a one pop hour and walk away insulted.

On another note, I found a gem around the corner from the Cocal.

https://www.instagram.com/dheva_spa/?hl=en

Over the course of my Super Bowl stay, I saw 3 girls ranging in age from 19 yo Ari to 25 yo Jenny and the gorgeous 9+ Allison 21 YO. Everything available in house for $30-40 house fee depending on how the day has been going and extras ranging from HJ $50, BJ 80-100, FS 150-200. When you get in the room, the girl you picked will bring another less attractive girl in and try to upsell a 2 for 1 special. I ALWAYS decline. Aside from my 3 incall adventures, Allison visited me twice at the Cocal for $200 per visit. MSOG, the only downside except for Jenny (BBBJ for additional) everything was covered. If you text the number in their instagram listing they will send you photos of the girls available for outcall.

Warning, there are several not so good looking girls working at this place. Young but large in stature (if you get my drift). Whoever is sending the photos of the girls available for outcall is pimping the less attractive girls. Be persistent and ask for who else is available or ask for Ari, Allison and / or Jenny. Or better yet walk around the corner (hang a right at the pharmacy) and see for yourself.

New to this board, but very active on usasexguide. First time enjoying the hobby abroad. Seems that Cocal and clubs are the main places to find attractive ladies. New to this board, but very active on usasexguide. First time enjoying the hobby abroad. Seems that Cocal and clubs are the main places to find attractive ladies. Was wondering if there is upscale albeit more expensive women at any other establishments. Not necessarily UTR but something above the usual standard.Cocal is the best line-up in Costa Rica I've seen in 20 years of travels there. You might find something on an upscale escort site that meets your liking, but there's a lot of bait and switch to be found.

Quick question-this Instagram account looks like a nail salon. There are some stunners on there, but from 2020. Am I to understand that they are available for take out?Joe,

I hit this place three times over Super Bowl and saw Allison, Ari and Jenn in house. All gave me their whatsapp digits (YMMV). You can text the place on Whatsapp and they will send you the lineup. But caution. There are a lot of big girls working there (not my thing but to each his own). I texted after my first visit with Ari. And they sent me photos of the Big ones. I texted back if there was anymore. Then I got the photos of the better looking staff. In the end I was staying at the Cocal, so I just walked around the corner to the spa and picked out the good looking ones. I. E. Allison, Ari and Jenn.

Hey All,

I'm planning a trip down to CR soon.

I would like to visit San Jose, then take the bus over to Jaco and spend 1 or 2 nights. How long of trip to you suggest in order to visit both SJ & Jaco? Are there any hotels in Jaco that are guest friendly besides Cochal?

I was considering looking into an Airbnb but for my first time I would not know the lay of the land.

Let me know what you fellas think.

Thanks.

Thanks.I would go to Jaco for the majority of the vacation vs San Jose, and stay in this chica friendly Airbnb to save $$ (just google "bachelor pad Jaco airbnb" and it will pull it up, there are like 4 units in the buildingp- I get thank yous all the time, makes me feel like I'm doing something) Anyway, Jaco is a small beach town 100% for guys, the whole downtown strip is set up for chicas. Walk around, sit at an open air restaurant, go to a bar, take your pick. No way you walk around San Jose, especially at night. You go to Taormina or Sportsmans then take the chica home in your cab.

Not necessarily UTR but something above the usual standard.I'm getting ready to take another trip down before the rainy season gets going in Jaco. I was there during Super Bowl Weekend (as I have been every year for the past 12 years including 2020). I'm thinking Super Bowl Weekend is now the anomaly in Jaco I. E. Tons of Colombian, Nicaraguan, Dominican girls. The prices that week / weekend were ridiculous for the talent level IMO.

Also made the mistake of staying at the Cocal in one of the rooms on the beach, it gave the girls the excuse to literally leave after one shot. Except for two occasions when we rented an Apartment in the Vista Mar (the condo attached to the Cocal). We stayed in either Bahia Azul, Bahia Encantada or the best 2023 rented a single house next to Bahia Azul. The problem with BA and BE now is that the restict the hours that you can have a chicas in the apartment.

Over the past couple of years, I've been finding reasonably 18-25 yo Ticas working at the massage parlors I. E. Dhiva spa and the spa next to the outdoor gym north of the cocal. Seeking was good for quite awhile but Covid killed the indepents on SA IMO. Others may have a different experience?

Once I had a problem but it was with a broke dick gringo and not a tico. Or just stay in Jacó and pay double.

I have been twice, but never with a car. My upcoming trip I will have a car to explore a little on my own during the daytime.

My question is, does anyone have any recommendations of a good spot or two to take a tica and phuck outside during the day? Something about phucking while looking at the ocean is my style.

Thanks!

It is not a good idea to walk around at night in any foreign city solo especially if you are not used to it. Many dudes use CR as a first trip in this hobby because it is relatively safer and easy compared to Medellin or Brazil or Asia. You are not a badass because you walk around San Jose or Jaco at night. You should always be aware of your surroundings and be alert. Do not go stumbling around half drunk or worse anywhere, including the homeland.

New York Bar and Nashville South, Happy days bar next to the Morazon hotel ring a bell?I'm not sure if it is more dangerous now or not. It was cleaned up a lot over the last 15 years putting more lighting in the parks, etc. And I've never encountered any problems day or night and have walked lots in the gulch area and back and forth between the various venues. I do know one guy that has been mugged, but by his own admission it happened when he was stumbling drunk. Not good but also not unexpected.

For types of crimes directed against people like us, male tourists I'll say, I think Jaco is significantly more dangerous at night. Reason is that those that want to take a chance and take on gringo tourists are going to focus on somewhere there are gringos with money walking around at night. That is not San Jose in general, although in the day the Del Rey attracted that sort of criminal and perhaps there may be some that hang around Taormina these days. I don't have the article any more, but I also did read that the crime stats for Jaco were high for that sort of crime.

Late at night all bets are off in either place. After about 11 in the evening there are a lot fewer people around, including police, so best to take cabs or Ubers.

IMO the main strip in Jaco around the Cocal is far less dangerous at night than the gulch is in San Jose. The main drag in Jaco is less dangerous for the same reason that midtown Manhattan isn't as dangerous as say the Bronx. Most of the main streets are so busy there's no privacy for you to get mugged. Del Ray is closed now so the circuit in San Jose is between the SL, Castillo, and the Taormina, but the walk between Castillo and Taormina can get pretty sketchy later at night. I've walked the main drag in Jaco at midnight often. I'd never walk between the Castillo and the Taormina that late at night.

List of safest / most dangerous countries. Costa Rica among the very safest.

Its common sense, you take precautions. Remember your gross overall chance anywhere is very low. FYI I live outside NYC, go into the city occasionally, and there are more homeless, panhandlers, and drugs than ever. No tent cities yet, but Ill keep you posted.

To add to the conversation string:

I don't think that either San Jose or Jaco are particularly dangerous. I have been to both several times and walked around solo in the middle of the night. Never even felt threatened.

Safety shouldn't be a concern there. What SHOULD be a concern is the poor punting. In that sense, CR has gone down the tubes -- a shadow of its former self. Even Jaco.

There are drug addicts who panhandle outside. There are people offering girls, offering drugs outside at night. Better take Uber which is cheap. When Del Ray was open that area was safe to walk. There were many casinos which were open most of the night. Can walk from there to the walking street to go eat at area restaurants. There is nothing near Taormina. There is a restaurant sign in front on one of the building but was not open. Maybe closed. Most people eat and drink at in house restaurant. Expensive but tasty food. Room comes with free set breakfast. I have seen some mongers bring girls for breakfast although you need to pay for her. Obviously they kep the girl overnight. They all were ugly IMHO. Prettier girls do not agree for toda la noche unless offered exorbitant sum.

I agree with CatBert, I have no problems walking in downtown Jaco beach at all hours. Place is loaded with people, like midtown Manhattan. Here is something more official:

https://latamlivingcost.com/costa-rica/crime/jaco-beach/

"The crime rate in Jaco Beach is relatively low, making it a safe city to live in and visit. According to rankings, the overall crime rate per 100,000 residents is around 59.67, which is lower than averages for similar sized cities globally. Violent crimes like homicide and assault are rare, with rates of 5 per 100,000 residents. Petty crimes like theft and pickpocketing can occur but are not very prevalent. Standard safety precautions can further minimize any risk. The reputation for community trust in law enforcement contributes to an overall climate of safety. Both residents and tourists can feel at ease thanks to the low crime rate and high safety standards in Jaco Beach".

So at the very worst you can get pickpocketed, which happened to me only once in my many travels: Paris. Go figure.

Just was in Jaco for a few days at my favorite chica friendly airbnb (PM me if you want details) and place is on a building boom, huge towers going up, construction crane on the beach. With all the additional guys down there making excuses to get away from their wives, Jaco will only attract more action. I didn't get to check out Ohm Lounge, which promises a higher class crowd (stupid of me, it slipped my mind) but its right on the main drag at the street where you go to the cocal. Anyone go there? ID love a report, but Ill definitely go next time. But I did go to Republik, which is almost diagnolly across from cocal. That street will be chica ground zero. Republik had such a nice welcoming attitude. It was early, so I got a drink. They have a dance club that opens at 10 , I was going to check it out.

Then the little head started, I saw a gal, absolute perfect 10 to me, maybe 5-5, but thin perfect body (to me, be cups), dressed in a black leather cocktail thing, just stunning. Hairs went up. Couldn't take my eyes off her. Couple gringos start talking to her and friend. And I am. Jealous? Kick myself for not jumping on it. Nurse the drink, keep an eye on her. Then the gringos leave.

Ok, might as well jump, like van halen said, and I did. "Lets go to my airbnb. " and she hesitates, apparently the guys were coming back. But then agrees. Yes, and we are off.

Amazing smart girl, a night Ill remember when I'm wearing the baseball cap in the wheelchair. But never got back to Republik.

So long story short, any reports on Republik or Ohm please post!

Thanks!Bro just a heads up. My main reason for going to Jaco is fishing in LOS Suenos and Quespos. Just talked to the boat captain we use there. The weather has been horrific in terms of rain and storm. S this year. Went thru this in 2018 and we got caught in deluge after deluge up and down the coast. It is also the type of weather that inhibits Ticas from coming to the Cocal etc for the weekend. So that all you have left is the local Ticas and some Hondurans or Over Priced Colombian Gorditas. Please check the weather forcast before you book. Nothing worse than sitting in the Cocal for a 5 hour rainstorm.

Sure it will rain, but remember its on the coast so you have the pacific ocean airmasses coming through, which push the storms out. That is, weather tends to move out fast, it doesn't get locked in like a mountain valley. Typically its an hour or two, leaving everything refreshed.

I have been mongering since 2007 but never knew of Costa Rica before as a good destination for it. I've only mongered in Germany, FKKs, Globe, Aphrodisia, Vienna and North Africa. As well as Seeking in California and London and Peru. Usually I go to ISR and click on Globe or FKKs straight away. Today saw the list of main destinations and decided to click on Costa Rica. The recent reporter's article on.

Mongering in Jaco Beach at Hotel Cocal got me *very* interested. I know its across the pond in the wrong direction and the ticket will be 1200 Sterling (compared to 200 for a quick hop to Zurich) but it could be a nice beach holiday combined with our hobby.

Hotel Cocal reminds me of a cross between Aphrodisia and an FKK except its set in a hotel (at least as described by the reporter in his report here (https://news.co.cr/sexual-tourism-thrives-at-hotel-cocal-and-casino-in-jaco-beach-costa-rica/24123/). He said 150 chicas!! That's crazy.

I am tentatively planning a trip at the end of this month and tried to find it on Booking.com but its not listed. I checked the actual website but couldn't get direct prices. Can anyone who has stayed at the Cocal tell me how much it is per night for a room (not a suite)? Preferably facing the ocean. I'm thinking 5 nights in Cocal with 2 nights in San Jose.

If you get a room at the Cocal can you take the girl back to your room? Do they have a cigar lounge or better still shisha pipes at the Hotel Cocal too?

At The Cane. Good to see you on ISR again my friend!

At The Cane. Good to see you on ISR again my friend!I have a trip coming up myself. I'll split equal time between San Jose and Jaco. In San Jose, I chose the Taormina Hotel and found the best deal by booking directly through their site. In Jaco, I will be at the Cocal. For the Cocal, I recall that I had to use their site and follow their process since they typically weren't listed on third party hotel booking sites. Now, if you plan to stay at either of these "ground zero" hotels then you need to act fast since both can get booked up quickly with horny travelers leaving no availability for the dates you want. I booked months in advance to make sure I got what I wanted. Got to have rooms at ground zero! I've included links to both hotels below. They'll have most of the basic info you need. Hope it helps!

Hey There Sebastaine, I have been to Cocal many times but never will you find 150 chicas in 1 place. I would say it varies between 50 to 90 at the peak but the ratio of girls to guys is still good.

At The Cane. Good to see you on ISR again my friend! Not sure its worth a trip all the way from Europe where you have so many options but Costa Rica is fun and I have been going once a year for the past 8 years. In San Jose, the best places to stay (as others have said) is the Taormina and in Jaco is the Cocal (or the Vista Mar Condos attached --much nicer bit more expensive unless you have 1-2 friends to share). If you don't speak Spanish, your experience will usually be a lot less fun as its very frustrating to communicate with some of the girls. All my friends who speak at least passable Spanish get GFE (some full BB). Jaco is very hot and humid all year round. But San Jose, is comfortable--a lot like London in the summer. Both these places have working girls who outnumber the men by 3-4+ to one, some very beautiful and others just ok to some real dogs / fatties. For $100-150 in San Jose and $150-200 in Jaco, the girls will hang with you for about an hour (sometimes more) in the comfort of your own room and provide pretty good service as they want to please and have you repeat. Most of the girls either smoke weed or do Ketamine or both. Its not a problem other than having them spend the first 5-10 minutes "showering" in your bathroom where they snort Ketamine or toke on the vape.

As far as smoking anything, Costa Rica has pretty strict smoking laws so no smoking inside at all, but outside is fine. At the Cocal, you have to smoke outside the parking lot or on the beach. In San Jose, there are cigar shops to smoke in.

If you want more info, let me know. Its a fun place and the Taormina & the Cocal are the only places in all of my world travels that I have found that multiple working girls roam all over the hotel day and night (mostly at night). Both hotels allow the independent working girls in as a business model without hassle and its probably the easiest place on earth to get laid. At the Taormina, just take the elevator to the lobby and pull a girl. At the Cocal, you can literally open your door and wave at dozens and dozens of girls to come inside your room for action. But sadly, full GFE (like how FKK's used to be 10+ years ago) is very hit or miss and depends on multiple factors such as your looks, your ability to Speak Spanish, and the number of times you've seen her.

Why don't you try Thailand; Pattaya in particular. That place puts them all you list to shame! I've been going ther twice a year for the past 10 years. Other than the cost of the flight and the time to get there; well worth the cost to explore all it has to offer. Short times are roughly $40 USD, long time &80. Bottled beers are $1. 50 - $2; decent hotel room $30 - $50.

Bottled beers are $1. 50 - $2; decent hotel room $30 - $50.Thailand takes a day and a half from US and same to return. You are cramped into a small airplane without a chance to get out and walk around. If you want to suffer through 2 days of misery and $2,500 of airfare, and lost income, then go to Thailand where the cost is $40 for 2-3 minutes of orgasm. The girls do not speak English, and when they take their makeup off they are like most pimply blemished local US girls. Two trips to Thailand was enough misery and expense for me.

I always get an aisle seat and never have an issue getting up to stretch. Many of the Thai girls in the tourist areas speak better English than the girls in Costa Rica. Last, for that $40 you can actually get a GFE in Thailand and many times the girl will spend the night to enjoy a nice hotel bed and AC.

To me, the Cocal is way too overpriced just to get rush service.

Pattaya is a small city with hundreds of bars many clubs with thousands of chicks. Jaco is a small town with a few hundred hookers mostly in a small hotel with a few bars on the strip. I live in Pattaya so maybe a bit bias but I wouldn't travel from there to go to Jaco. The only positive it has over Pattaya is that women do look better in Jaco body wise a lease but even that is subjective so maybe not. Pattaya is cheaper but only if your taking chicks at the low end like online or soi 6. If you want a gogo chick then it may cost even more than a chick in Jaco.

Not sure its worth a trip all the way from Europe where you have so many options but Costa Rica is fun and I have been going once a year for the past 8 years. In San Jose, the best places to stay (as others have said) is the Taormina and in Jaco is the Cocal (or the Vista Mar Condos attached --much nicer bit more expensive unless you have 1-2 friends to share). ... But sadly, full GFE (like how FKK's used to be 10+ years ago) is very hit or miss and depends on multiple factors such as your looks, your ability to Speak Spanish, and the number of times you've seen her.Interesting thought. That had not occurred to me, but what you said is true. Hotels where lots of girls roam around the hotel for pickings is rare. There ARE two other places, though. Sportsmen Lodge in San Jose, and Casa Medellin in Medellin. But those are much smaller operations, and I get your point.

Nonetheless, I cannot recommend Costa Rica anymore. Way way too high price for the level of services provided, which is poor. I think that if you have at least a week off, Pattaya is a much better choice for a short punting trip than Costa Rica.

I would need at least a solid 14 days on the ground to make that trip worth it to me. And preferably even more than that. Last time I spent a month fucking around the Land of Smiles.

Last time I spent a month fucking around the Land of Smiles.I don't know about coming from Europe, but from the US its easy, especially if you are on the western half of the continent. Fly out Friday night or Saturday morning, Arrive early Sunday evening. Spend 6 glorious days, then fly back on Sunday, where you actually might gain time. The flight might cost a little more, but you would make that up in chica fees. Much better food. I don't remember what the wwater quality was like in Pattaya, but Phuket had beautiful beaches. Jaco beach is a sewer.

Another good option if you want to be in the central america / carribean area is SXM. Nice beaches. Very reliable punting. Bonaire too if you like scuba diving. Punting is limited, but there.

Costa Rica is a great option for US mongers because of its proximity, but if someone is traveling from Europe, there are better options in LatAm. Brazil would be my recommendation.

Does anyone have any specific suggestions as to a spa or two in Jaco I should visit? I know, walk along the main street and you'll see plenty. But, I was hoping for a senior member to give me more detail than that. Appreciate it!

Hi All,

Is NYE in Jaco a good time or is it better to stay in SJO? I'm thinking of going down a couple of days before and staying a couple of days afterwards. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Thanks.I did NYE in San Jose a few years ago. It wasn't bad. Hung out at Sportsmen's and Taormina. Also hit the Pensions in the daytime.

The answer is mostly yes, as my experience is that the women at the Cocal are pretty accommodating (they're just happy to pull a date). I'm always surprised that even the really hot ones will gladly leave the Cocal for $100 for 4 hours to hang out at some lame bachelor party 10-30 minutes away.

I wouldn't expect any bargains though as they're wasting 30 minutes round trip so they're going to ask for the rack rate of $150-$200 depending on their perceived hotness. Daytime and slow nights (Sun-Wed) might be negotiable.

BTW, if you rent a car, I recommend using Alamo.

Hey all,

I was at Cocal a few months ago and saw that some of the girls are super aggressive in terms of saying shit "hey baby you want to fuck?" Or just constantly nagging you to go with them. I'm generally not into those girls of ladies there but is anyone here? I notice it's usually the ones that walk around all night alone or with friends but I saw a few leave with some guy from time to time. The type of chicks I would 100% avoid.

My friends and I have made jokes about crazy eyes looking ones like they had brain trauma from doing all the coke in the bathroom. But did anyone take a "crazy" one back ever and was it a good idea or just not worth it? I imagine they may not be some of the more desirable ones but would probably charge less. But wanted to know if they are good to take back or just not worth it.

I used to love how it would go down in the old Del Rey every now and then. Tutes walking up to you and grabbing ass and asking if you want some pussy! Ha! I had one who looked like a young, Colombian Reece Witherspoon who was like, "Do you like this? Hmm? Do you like this? Do you like what you see"? I was like hell yeah I like that! Took her up to the room and ran some deep bone up in her. That tute say, "Oh, oh, OH"! LOL!

Hi all,

Currently planning a trip to either Colombia or Costa Rica this coming January. I'll be traveling with friends and family and wanted to partake in some extra curricular activities. I've mongered in Mexico, Portugal / Spain, Thailand and the Caribbean. One thing I liked about all of these places is that they have short time rooms / casas and or actual brothels with rooms. Since I will be on time constraints with friends, unfortunately I won't be able to rizz up some chicas and take them back to my room for some tln fun. Because I will be sharing my airbnb with others.

Can anyone share any recent short time experiences in San Jose and Jaco areas? Basically, I'm looking for a casa type line up setup or something similar. Where I can either reserve something from a site / whatsapp or in person.

Are there any brothels in Jaco / San Jose that someone can share with me? I've searched endlessly on this thread and only seen older experiences from few years ago.

Hi all,

I've searched endlessly on this thread and only seen older experiences from few years ago. Can't speak for San Jose but in Jaco you can go to Cocal, bring a Chica and take her to the beatle motel for $20 for an hour and do the business there. There are no brothels per se. However there are the usual spas you can go to and negotiate there. As far as the beatle motel, it's kinda crappy and wouldn't recommend unless there's no other options available. Not sure what other options are available beyond that.
