A few notes about the conversations with him. Paul is at BB next couple weeks, then again Halloween. He doesn't stay there all the time like Ted did. I'm looking forward to all his visions. Suggested they get more golf carts & rent them out to customers. Visitors are welcome to BB again, they put red bands on them. For guest staying, no more blue bands and no deposits. Taxi drivers that bring in cruise guests will be compensated like previous. No more fake contests! They will do something even if they are lacking guests. Replacing old towels and some of the mattresses. Suggested once a shift the girls go around & introduce themselves like they used to do in strip clubs. That way we can see faces and names of all.

Been lurking in the shadows the last few years and have been reading the new posts about BB's. I've been having the same problems as everyone is that have been going here. The problem isn't the hotel but the girls. Hilda and Crystal have seem to let the girls do what they want and take over the hotel. Hopefully paul can right the ship before it sinks. What would really help would be to put the chica information back in the room books. The rates and hours of each of the 3 appointments. This way the girls and mamasans can't overcharge the guests. Kind of sucks that we the guests can't trust hilda and cystal anymore.Exactly! When I went to both of them about what happened with me and noelle all they said was all we'll talk to her. We'll talk to her.
The next day he was sitting there with her and they were all sitting there drinking together at one of the tables on the right side of the pool, kind of where you sit when you're one of the judges for the bikini contest and they were just looking back and pointing at me so like not only did she not do anything about it but they were all gossiping about me and my complaint I had.
Later on that day, every time I went up to another girl they all said oh I'm on my period. I'm on my period so I ended up bringing my own girls back that last night to my room and I had to pay $20 per girl that I brought back.

The bikini contests were legit. They stopped the wet-t shirt contests before the pandemic I think. I was with a chica right after the pandemic when the hotel reopened. All they did was tell 5 girls to put on white shirts and threw water on them right by their locker room and took pictures for the news letters. My chica that night was 1 of them. The miss University was setup. I like the idea of bringing back outside chicas because it makes the chicks working out there up their game and they get jealous. I always liked bringing back chicas that used to work there like Kinsia.

The new management feels like the way this place was always meant to be run. I'm seriously considering returning, because it looks like a blast again with much better amenities, newsletters that are actually worth reading, and a more welcoming atmosphere overall.
Before, it felt like a prison without bars. I wasn't asking for much, just to feel more welcome. Simple improvements like a quick trip to Jenny's BAM, being able to rent a golf cart, new mattresses those are big check marks for me. Now I don't have to think about staying off-site while keeping a room here. Fun things happening throughout the stay, instead of everyone just waiting for their shift to end another check mark.
I've dropped plenty of money here before on food, rooms, and drinks for everyone, because I see this as a destination vacation. When I'm on vacation, I want to enjoy my time, not come home with buyer's remorse wishing I had gone somewhere else. That was the problem before I didn't see issues being fixed, and it felt like loyalty from returning customers didn't matter.
These new improvements are a great step in the right direction. I'll be watching closely, because this really could become my chosen destination again. Thank you.

Where do you find outside chicas? I'll be there for Halloween and I'll have a rental so I plan on doing some take out.I know quite a few of them off of Facebook. I ended up hanging out with some girls from BB and adding them on my Facebook page and then all of a sudden I had request from girls that don't work there.
After weeding through some of them that were full of sh#t (which is most).
I have a few in my rotation that when I come down, I spend some time with them. The problem is once you spend time with one of them the other ones know and then they get mad at you so you got to try to balance multiple Chicas into a weekend trip, which is not easy.
A lot of them will try to lock you down for the whole trip and spend time with you the whole vacation.

They've evolved with Stone Age software running in a 21st-century world an instinctive drive to secure and maintain resources. This comes from a time when they were physically vulnerable during pregnancy and childbirth. It's not good or bad it's just biological reality. Men procure resources women the cute ones especially, by nature, figure the easiest way to attract and extract them. The best way and I think we have evolved to just drown out the noise they feed us about problems. Just kind of fades into the background, selective hearing, is what I would call it actually listening to women complain would put us all in the grave early. But the new and shiny objects we meet at a place like this makes us forget those imperatives for a little while. Yes, "the force is strong" with some of them those hooks sink deep. When one chica especially the vets zero in on you and begins marking their territory. God help you. My girl lives in the country part of La Vega and it takes 1000 pesos ($16) for a taxi just to get to the bus station to come see me in Santo Domingo. Then the bus is like 400 pesos.

Yes, that's why there is no conflict resolution that you will win. They aren't paid to be on your side the girls pay them. That's why your best bet is to slip the mamas a few bills when you first arrive. They seem to make the girls understand then he better have a good time. It's all transactional just know who to tip is the secret.

This is Vanessa.Don't know this one but what benefit do you or I or does anyone get but sending a hooker money for no in person services? The answer is none. It is not like she will add up the $ sent and give you or me a discount when we get back LOL so there is no value in sending any of them any money!! I had some stop talking to me after I refused to be a simp.
So when I come back they run up to me and I show them a screen shot of what they said to me being rude or nasty. Then I grab another chica.
The next time you're in town find out which Western Union these girls frequent find a restaurant or a bar across the street and see how many of the same girls show up within that hour that you're sitting there I bet you half of them show up at least twice.
That gives you an idea of how many gringos they got sending them money on a regular basis. At the end of the day, none of these women will love a gringo because they are infatuated with Dominican men.
The only real advice I can give you or any other veteran that goes on a regular basis in this hobby is to have a very minimum or no contact with them once you leave it's just better for you.
We all had to learn the hard way. I'm sure all of us at one point or another help somebody that you kind of feel stupid for doing later on it happens to all of us even the veterans.
The purpose of this website and other ones is to educate the newer guys with experiences that we had on our travels.

I've actually posed that exact question before and was told "that's not how it is papi you help me now because you amo me and you pay when you come" very blunt about it. I was at BB for 8 days including Halloween. I must say manager in charge now Paul has done great things. His personality is opposite of the now deceased Ted. He is friendly. With all and loves to talk in depth with customers. His goal is to bring BB back to what it was when John was owner. Paul is only there half the time because he is an accountant in the states. No more bands for anyone. Outsiders can now come and take a chica out. It is up to the chica what she charges (think it will be 5-6000 p) instead of normal minimum 3000 p. Chicas can now see gringos outside on their own time no problem. My buddy brought an outside chica in with no fee. Don't know if they let him get by or not.
They have new tables and chairs in the dining room. Also added cushions & drink holders in the 'window sill' next to the bar where Michelle & Endi sit. LOL. New entrance awning. They have a 2 seat golf cart you can take out an hour or two no charge. Just check with the guard. Lots of painting done. In a week there will be a new masseuse using the old short time room towards the kitchen. Also taxi drivers bringing cruise guest will receive some sort of compensation. Breakfast there was excellent with potatoes crispy not soggy like before & omelette was good. My favorites include fried chicken wings and pork cutlet Parmesan. They have a new item whole fried red snapper on the menu & it was good. Wednesday night was an actual wet t-shirt contest with 6 contestants 7 a victim who poured water over them. He got worked over by all the contestants. Winner determined by applause. It was a fantastic time. Halloween night was a blast too. Mamasans Hilda & Krystal worked hard along with chicas decorating the whole place. Chicas went all out on costumes and had prizes for the best. Even guys had a contest & the guy that won was an outsider dressed as a chica complete with high heels which he kept on all night.Lol. Fantastic time! If you were there I was the one with an inflable dick🤣 then Sat night they had Ms Universe contest a gain a blast. I passed out many 1’s to the contestants.

On the beach there is a new restaurant MarYSol replacing the old anchor. It's in the group of 3 restaurants with MarYSol nearest BB. Food there is excellent and well priced. We ate lunch there many days. Burgers were tasty probably imported beef not Dominican. Everything on the menu was fantastic, fried fish, wings, etc.
We discovered a new place in Puerto Plata on the Melacon called Lalolas. Ate there twice, fancy restaurant with prices in pesos not $ like others. They have a DJ on Fri, Sat, &Sun nights. Had the ribeye one night and a huge lobster one night & both were fantastic. Ruth that worked at BB as waitress, then ast. Manager works there.
Another adventure we went to Keon strip club on the main road across from the chocolate factory Del Oro. Had a fantastic time, as we all brought a lot of 1's for the strippers. An older blonde that actually worked the pole was fantastic & tried to latch onto me. Gave her a bunch of 1's lap dancing. Gave her a 20 & she went crazy blowing me and rubbing me over my thin nylon pants🤣 Prices in the club are 150 & take out 200, but our Dominican driver got it down to 100 & 150. One of our guys did a take out. It was a blast. They had all sizes & shapes.

In the morning of this Thursday, November 13, 2025, the National Police, together with units of Nagua and Santiago and with the support of the Public Ministry, carried out an extensive operation in the Costambar sector, Puerto Plata, which resulted in one person dead, one injured and several detainees.
The operation was targeted against a powerful criminal gang operating in the northern part of the country.
The spokesman of the National Police, Rafael "Felo" Messon, offered preliminary information and assured that it was a coordinated action between different regional directions.
So far, authorities have not revealed the identities of those involved, but more details are expected to be provided in the coming hours.
