Thanks WorldTraveler for the list. As someone who's only stayed in a friend's apartment in Brazil, I'm unfamiliar with the hotels in SP. Do hotels tend to allow "guests", or do they typically not allow them?

I would say that you would have contact the hotel of your choice.
I see that the Spell Checker screwed up most of the Brazilian names in the List.

Not on the list but that accepts guests:
Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel. It is in Brooklin next to Hilton (I have even seen escorts there in the bar).
Hotel Pullman São Paulo Vila Olímpia.
Transamerica Executive Moema (several WG live there).
I would say Hotel Renaissance and Hotel Unique also do as I have seen escorts there also in the bar.
I would think most Mercures, Transamericas and Hotel Emiliano would accept guest easily.

Hotel Pullman Ibirapuera is really nice, girl friendly and well located. A short walk to Tangara if you are pursuing daytime fun.

Glória plaza hotel is way more motel than hotel, but has not bad overnight rates and they're super guest friendly. Stay in your room and they front desk will just direct them to your room.
I stayed 6 nights in this hotel in a Privilege room. Big room with relatively small bathroom and a balcony. I had made the reservation for one person only, but no problems at all with visitors. One of my visitors came with her own car. I waited her outside and we drove directly to the parking hall and took the elevator straight to my room. Very good 4* experience. I have booked this hotel again for my next trip.
I also stayed again in Mercure Times Square. I have never had problems with visitors there.
I stayed in three Mercure hotels and 2 Novotels during my trip. Excellent cleanliness in all these hotels. Something positive from the pandemic.
...
I also stayed again in Mercure Times Square. I have never had problems with visitors there...I went to this place to see an escort once.

Nordico, I stayed at the Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi recently and I recommend it. It has a great location, 1. 5 blocks from Bamboa, my room was spacious and came with a balcony & a streaming WIFI TV connection, the rooftop pool was a plus, and the buffet breakfasts featuring fresh fruit and juice were all I needed. The major difference between this hotel and a significantly more expensive 5 star hotel is an ornate lobby. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I'm undecided between this and Pullman Ibirapuera for the 6 nights I haven't reserved yet. I usually divide my stay in Sao Paulo between Jardins and Moema. I reserved the Mercure Alameda in Jardins for 10 nights. I will make my final decision after I see if there are any Black Friday discounts.
I visited Bomboa twice this month and I was wondering how is the walk during the night?

I reserved the Grand Mercure. There seems to be more nice restaurants in that area than there are around Pullman.

I reserved the Grand Mercure. There seems to be more nice restaurants in that area than there are around Pullman.I think you made a good choice. The Grand Mercure is a good hotel and it is in a better neighborhood than the Pullman. Check out Barbacoa (R. Dr. Renato Paes de Barros, 65, Itaim Bibi) if you like Brazilian churrascarias. It is one of the best IMHO.
I visited Bomboa twice this month and I was wondering how is the walk during the night? The walk is fine. I walked back from Bomboa to the Grand Mercure several nights after 1 am-1:30 am. No problems. When I left Bomboa I turned right and walked along Rua Paula Oliveira a block to Rua Dr Renato Paes de Barros, took another right and crossed Av. Pres. Juscelino Kubitschek to the Grand Mercure. It is a quiet walk past some nice high rise apartment buildings, a few townhouses, and 3 or 4 restaurants. The only time I took an Uber back to the hotel was on the night it was raining cats and dogs and I did not have an umbrella.
Update on three hotels I stayed at last three weekends.
Marriott Executive Apartments:
Nice rooms, good hot water showers. I have never had a problem taking girls there. Uber brings them to the front door and I go collect them. The staff is very helpful and most speak at least some English. Parking is Reai 35 per night. There is a buffet breakfast. I am a Titanium and lifetime Marriott Platinum but I am not sure that makes too much difference. Within a short walk of Parque Ibirapuera where I really like to visit and walk. It takes me about an hour to walk to Tangara.
Renaissance:
Nice higher end hotel. I really like the concierge lounge for dinner and breakfast. Only problem I ever had there was when I took two girls up with me. They charged me $60 for the second girl. I should have fought the charge but live and learn. Again, no problem meeting girls out front and taking them to my room. As an expensive higher end hotel, parking was expensive and it is a higher traffic part of town. FYI I ran into a few pilots and airline attendants that stay there. Probably take Uber to Moema and Jardins clinics.
DoubleTree by Hilton in Itiam:
Stayed there for the first time this trip. IMO not as nice as the other two hotels. In a very busy traffic area with bars etc so nice to walk around and get food. Had two different girls come at different times so the same staff saw them, no issues. Breakfast is pretty good. - I am Diamond status with Hilton so it is free. It is a 20 minute to the Marriott Executive apartments and so a little over an hour walk to Tangara.
This is the first time I rented a car. I used Localiza. I was able to drive through Sao Paulo and in the country side using Google maps on my phone surprisingly easy. Pickup and return is easy at GRU.
Ibis ibirapuera was a good option but isn't ideally located for walking and stupid Uber gives the wrong pickup location to drivers to the back of the building. I didn't take a girl myself while there but I did see others do it and I usually book for 2 peolple just in case. The location is about halfway in between Bomboa and the cluster of clinicas in Moema.
On Hotel Flor do Ipiranga it is a budget friendly option and love motel but I never notice any girls hanging around and the location is terrible. Uber drivers canceled constantly on me because Ipiranga is very out of tge way for them, its also where 2 canals converge so your ride to and from there will smell. I got stranded at Casarao Friday night because of the uber drivers being shitheads and I was forced to pay a taxi driver 70 reals to get me back, he recommended a bughet hotel named Colombo or something in Republica.

I will be staying for a week at this Marriott, quite close to Parque de Ibirapuera. Any one have some recommendations for lanchonete, reataurants, and small bookstore, coffee shops? Quiet bar, with no or low volume music would also be nice. Of course, I can consult with the hotel staff, but I don't have a girlfriend there, so probably stay sozinho.
Grato.
Building site next door. Has been like this for about two weeks. Not about to end I think. Concrete saw, pneumatic drill. More or less all day long.
I had to drive away to a hotel after my AirBnB host gave no sign of life. Didn't even send notice to the residence front desk. Doesn't answer his phone. 869 euros, I hope AirBnB will reimburse. AirBnB has no real-time assistance (unlike Agoda). Answer promised within 24 hours, meanwhile you're in the street.
The apartment is in FL Residence, rua Elvira Ferraz. The host is named "Gust***. The ad reads "Moderno flat na Faria Lima". Be warned.
Grand Mercure Itaim 200 euros a night. Hotel Renaissance 300 euros a night!
If you live in London spare yourself the flight, call a London escort at 300 an hour.
Went to SP in June, a quick report about my hotels.
Tsue Palace (Moema).
Just like the previous report I can confirm the noisy sound of the planes due to the nearby airport. But that is also true for all the hotels in the area. Other than that the hotel is clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is simple but complete. This hotel is GF. No Key Card needed, the staff will call your room if you have a visitor.
This place is just 5-7 minutes walk from a Commercial Center. Clinica's nearby. Good restaurants. Safe area.
Mercure Alamedas.
Good situation near Paulista Av. Rooms are big and nice and the hotel is pretty quiet even with a central situation. Staff is helpful but does not speak so much English. The hotel is GF. A card is needed to use the elevator.
Transamerica Paulista.
I can't say if this place is GF or not as I didn't have this situation here. I assumed yes if you book for 2 people. But it sounds like some administration and talk with 2 receptionists always present and I security guard constantly in front of elevators.

.Thanks for the info. I booked Tsue for mid July. I plan to walk nearby to.
Clinicas and do a lot of daytime visits. We will see how much plane noise I can take during the evening naps. Before recharging for a night of debauchry.
I recently stayed at this hotel. I liked the rooms and the buffet breakfast. The employees were friendly and checkin and checkout were very smooth. The Wi-Fi was adequate. I got speeds in the 20 - 30 Mbps range when I ran a speed test. The area is very safe and there are many nice restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. The big drawback to this place is the noise from planes flying in and out of the local domestic airport. The noise starts on most days around 7 AM or so and continues on and off until 9 or 10 PM. I stayed in two rooms. One in front and one in back. They both had noise. In the future I will avoid this entire area (Moema) due to the noise. I will probably concentrate on Jardins for future trips. I am a light sleeper, others may not experience the noise problem to the extent that I did.
Returning to SP after a looong absence next month with a friend. Could someone please provide an update on GF hotels near Ibirapuera Park since that's close to some casas why clinicas. Not necessarily looking for a 5-star hotel but a nice very GF hotel.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.I thought I had already responded but don't see it so here you go. Marriott Executive Apartments within walking distance to the park and I have walked to Tangera from there. However, now I just get an Uber because is is a long walk. As far as the hotel, I have taken girls up to my room every time I have stayed there and have not had any difficulties. Every time I have stayed there since 2018 there have been English speaking attendants at the font desk. Usually female. They have been very helpful.

The Marriott seems great close to Bomboa, I've only stayed at the Renaissance in SP. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Will be in SP second half of May.
Transamerica isn't responding via email and couldn't get through by phone.

Just a quick review. Bourbon is right Ibirapuera Shopping.
Got an Executive Suite for around $115 (includes breakfast). Very spacious room with a table for food and a desk for laptop.
There is a new chain of flats that has been opening up around Moema, Itaim, Vila Nova Conceição, Olimpia that I considered staying. It's called Charlie. Their prices are very good (like $50-$70 range) and some of the rooms / apartments in the picture look pretty decent some with a full fridge and kitchen sink. I may try one on the second part of my stay.

I know this hotel is directly in the flight path for the airport as you can look up and see (and hear) the airliners. I'm considering staying here the next time I'm in Sao Paulo, but I won't do it unless and until I'm convinced airplane noise is not an issue with their rooms. Others have said it isn't. What was your recent experience?
I am getting mixed signals about this hotel. I'm considering staying there since other people here have said its GF, but I just wrote to them and they said they charge 150 reals for visitors. Even if I book for 2, I'm a bit worried they would still charge me for having more than 1 visitor during my stay. Anyone have experience with this?

I just wrote to them and they said they charge 150 reals for visitors. If I were thinking of spending a great time with a pretty girl, I would very easily absorb any extra charge and enjoy myself rather than thinking about the extra 30 USD which I can save when I get back to USA by drinking less hahaha. But that is my take on it.

Most of the time I was able to walk my girls straight to the elevators and up to my room, but a couple of times the girl had to show her ID at the front desk. To be safe make sure you book for 2 persons.
Hyatt positives: it is a real 5 star and one of the best hotels in SP, CENTRAL HEAT in every room, nice pool & garden although it is a little loud from highway traffic, ample and well-appointed rooms, good breakfasts and late-night room service, a friendly staff, and very attractive rates are occasionally made available for Hyatt members. I stayed there pretty cheap!
Hyatt negatives: location, location, location. Not only is it a long ride to places like Scandallo, but the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is commercial and very uninteresting. There is a big fancy mall 4 or 5 blocks away, but the Hyatt neighborhood vibe is a big fat zero compared to staying in the Itaim Bibi or Jardin neighborhoods. The view from those Hyatt rooms facing north is iconic.
The bottom line is I like this hotel and it is one of my favorite hotels in SP despite its location.

I stayed at an airbnb in Pinheiros last trip and had to sneak the girls in.
Stayed at Bourbon So Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Hotel *in Moema. In my opinion, THE most important consideration when staying in Moema is soundproof rooms. I can confirm the rooms are soundproof. I stayed at other places in Moema including Airbnb, suites, and apartments, and regret not checking first about the soundproof room. Waking up at 0600 am sharp because the small jets taking off from CGH suck.
Bourbon is a damn busy business hotel with meetings and families. My criteria were peaceful sleep over taking chicas and garotas back to the room. I did clinicas. The superior room is as good as the Executive room. I never woke up in time for breakfast nor care about it. The front desk is competent, busy people, and the day shift: and night shift need retraining.
After a serious night of drunken partying at Scandallo at 0400 am I left my iPhone in the Uber. Realized it when got to the hotel room. To recharge iPhone. Frak, many of the apps including Uber require 2 FA by mobile phone number. I had no alternate way to sign in from my laptop due to 2 FA. That sucked. Finally found one of my old email accounts with no 2 FA to sign in, emailed, and alerted Uber.
Very good customer service response by Uber. The driver woke up at 0500 am to bring back my iPhone. The stupid night shift at the hotel told him I wasn't there in the hotel, they did not know the name, blah, blah. The driver went back home with my phone. I nearly blew a gasket after finding out he returned to the hotel at 0500 an and the night shift turned him away. Over the next 24 hours, frantic trying to reconnect with the Uber, driver.
After a while, I said frak it walked over to Prime on Sunday afternoon to console myself with a Duplo with Karen and Camilla. Damn, Camilla is great. A deepthroat sloppy BBBJ skills. I used cash as always. Could not risk getting the occasional text of a security verification alert while using a credit card. After an exhausting session walked to the hotel. Checked with the front desk.
Lo and behold my iphone was returned. The dayshift team smartly figured if a Uber driver is returning an expensive iPhone the person will show up. I gave the front desk gal a big hug, then immediately signed into my apps to turn off the 2 FA for text or mobile and kept only sending by email.
The phone and data were backed up, of course, the 2 FA was a frustrating part about losing my iPhone and those incompetent night shift team for not accepting the damn iPhone when the driver returned the first time.

Reasonably priced, Big and busy with lots of action, and you can't get any closer to the clinicas in moema than that, and the mall across the street, great for the food court and shopping, and Scandallo is only a 15-20 minute uber ride away.

Wish there was a compiled list of Moema places confirmed as garota-friendly and soundproof windows.
It's a great walking neighborhood or a short Uber ride to Clinica and Scandallo.
I like places in Moema, one bedroom, with a kitchen, coffee maker, guest bathroom for the garotas, and soundproof windows.
I have looked at these with interest for my next visit. Has anyone used them and can report on girl friendly or not? I stayed at an airbnb in Pinheiros last trip and had to sneak the girls in.They run quite a few apartments in SP. I stayed in one recently in Moema, right near the Bourbon hotel. They are a new breed of rental agency where everything is automated. It is not a hotel, not even close to it, its more like an airbnb, no room service, no daily house keeping. Security was tight, but all virtual, there is no doorman. You ring a doorbell and someone probably in a call center somewhere lets you in if you're name and picture match what they have on file. They explicity say only registered visitors are allowed. I didn't try to bring anyone in, but I am pretty sure they are NOT girl friendly. The place itself was actually pretty nice, but I think overpriced. Hope that helps.

Sounds like not the place for me as I enjoy having friends come over for the night.
Planning on booking the Intercontinental next week. Any issues bring in visitors.
I appreciate the help.

I am sitting in Scandello on a Thursday night writing this report / inquiry. The ride from Moema (Mercure Times Square, my hotel) to Scandello is horrible. It takes 30+ minutes due to heavy traffic. I have gone every day this week, and the traffic is always there. Plus the Mercure requires cards for their elevators, which sucks as it make it weird to bring girls to your room with a small lobby. The funny thing is when I booked the receptionist on the phone clarified there was no card entry. This is obviously not true! Anyways, hoping for some personal suggestions from fellow ISG'ers on hotels (no airbnb please) that are a short cab ride away and DON'T require card entry to hotel nor elevator.
I also stayed again in Mercure Times Square. I have never had problems with visitors there.
I would not personally recommend this hotel. (1) I did wake up once due to plane noise (2) Elevators require key cards (3) There is a security guard during the day time and maybe at night (don't remember the night part). (4) Drive to Scandello is heavy traffic and takes 30+ minutes (5) Ubers are hard to get as many drivers keep cancel (I used uber x primarily, and maybe that is a general thing in SP). (5) They don't have any cups in the room if you need a drink of water you go to the lobby. There are pluses too. Its a super budget hotel, with a decent staff, that is close to daytime clinicas (and high-end ones, I think I have been to all now. KKK, which I finally understand means LOL).
I think when the fellow ISG'ers have a different definition of girl friendly. To me, GF means the girl can walk straight up to the room w / o a elevator key card, or reception ID check, or reception calling you for visitor, or security guard gatekeeper. Thats not the case here for this hotel! I am coming to think there are no hotels like this in SP. If you wish to avoid all the above, you need to book a lush motel and meet the girl there, which is not convenient.

I thought I had the Map inserted here.

A few things wished I had known earlier. I prefer a neighborhood like Moema. It's walkable to clinics without having so many tourists and shops. The airport noise is a real deal in Moema. Finally found a studio condo building with double-paned glass, and modern appliances, 4 minute's walk from Prime, Miruna, Abbobhrs, and 7 min Uber to CGH. It is called Allure Moema. Av. Dos Imars, 508 - Moema, So Paulo.
I paid are $300 reais per night. Excellent value and the plane noise was dramatically reduced. I slept well after a night of scandallo partying.
In Moeman tried different places around Moema Tsue Flats, Hotel Bourbon, Charlie Stay, Ibis, Club Suites, Cozzy Suites, Intercity, Comfort.
So far in Moema the reduced airplane noise, soundproof rooms were Bourbon, Condo Allure Moema.
And Cozzy Suites closer to Tangara It's outside of the CGH flight path.

...Is this the hotel listed in Agoda as "Apart-hotel Bourbon Sao Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Hotel"? There's another one listed as "Hotel Bourbon Ibirapuera Suite 5 estrelas Moema". Both appear as being 3.4 km from the city center. I guess it could be the same hotel with two different sections. The former has lower rates than the latter.

The hotel is traditional busy active convention hotel with families. The windows are doubled paned and there is a heavy curtain to reduce the airplane noise. Those small fast jets are screamers at 0600 am! The hotel I on the direct flight path of CGH airport.

Since that time I moved on to value priced Airbnb studio condo apartments in moema with laundry, privacyno convention traffic, 24 hour reception and double paned glass for quiet night sleep.

Meanwhile I've been going through reviews on the internet. Many guests complain about the hotel being noisy, not so much because of the nearby airport, as because of the noise coming from rooms next door and from the corridors.

During my stay in Sao Paulo I stayed at two hotels. No problem with planenoises in either.
Estanplaza Paulista.
Al Jau 497 Cerqueira Cesar, So Paulo, SP, 01420-000.
Indoor pool and spa in the top floor. Okay gym.
Room: Dated but clean rooms.
Guest friendly: Sometimes I could go straigth to my room, but one grumpy bald nigth receptionist was insisting on taking IDs.
Pros: Omelett bar that makes fresh omelets on order.
Cons: The AC was not good.
EZ Aclimao Hotel.
Avenida Armando Ferrentini 668, So Paulo, SP, 04103-030.
Outdoor pool, resturant with 24 h service. Good gym, for a hotel.
Room: Fresh and new interior. I was in a premium room with separate bedrom and livingroom / kitchen. Big TV with couch.
Guest friendly: Girls had no problem coming straigth to room.
Pros: Neat to have a couch with a big screen TV, so you could get a BJ while watching the news.
Cons: The outlet for charging my phone was not near the nightstand.
I would prefer EZ.
I just booked several hotel rooms for an upcoming trip to Brazil, and I'm happy to report that with the exception of certain parts of Rio, prices have moderated quite a bit from the last time I looked (was shocking). For a near month-long stay within different parts of Brazil I will be paying on average $95 USD a night for very nice accommodations in different hotels around the country. That's well within the $150 per night maximum I like to budget for during long vacations. Looking forward to my return to the "circuit"!
Is Wyndham (Bourbon) hotel Chica Friendlky?
Just a quick review. Bourbon is right Ibirapuera Shopping.
Got an Executive Suite for around $115 (includes breakfast). Very spacious room with a table for food and a desk for laptop.
There is a new chain of flats that has been opening up around Moema, Itaim, Vila Nova Conceio, Olimpia that I considered staying. It's called Charlie. Their prices are very good (like $50-$70 range) and some of the rooms / apartments in the picture look pretty decent some with a full fridge and kitchen sink. I may try one on the second part of my stay.
I read somewhere that there is construction going on near the hotel. If anyone has stayed there recently, how bad is the noise? Nothing worse than being awakened at 7 am after a night of partying.
I can handle the plane noise, but jackhammers no.

Maybe staying on a high floor is key.Beware of high floors for outside noise. I've experienced it again and again. Noise rather far away (street work) and coming straight at you because you're on a top floor. Happens all the time in Thailand.
Well-located hotel. Girl-friendly. No less than 3 (three) buildings being built very close. How long before completion? Two of them 4-6 months. The third one 6-8 months I'd say. Right now little jackhammering but plenty of manual hammering + grinding.

For me the low price and location def outweighed the street noise. And def girl friendly ((all Mercure seem to be).
I'm apprehensive as some reviews written as recently as August 2024 mention building sites galore near the hotel. Will report. Anyone stayed there of late?
Is Wyndham (Bourbon) hotel Chica Friendlky? The Bourbon definitely was but I don't know if it currently is as haven't stayed since it became Wyndham.
I stayed at this hotel recently for 5 days. It's a decent, mostly quiet and very girl friendly for one girl (never had more than one). One problem staying in this area is traffic is really bad during rush hour.
Surrounded by constructions. The whole block is a building site. It's not just the noise: the sight is depressing too. One plot is stiil being dug out so God knows how long this will last. I wanted to add some pics but as usual, "uploading failed". Even downsized to 50% it fails. Can't waste all day on this.
The neighborhood is still technically Itaim Bibi but I'd call it Itaim Dreary. Dust, broken traffic lights, restaurants for the poor. If you cross the Kubitcheck expressway away from Itaim it gets more upscale but you quicly bump into another expressway (Santo Amaro). Worst neighborhood I've stayed in so far in SP. Bomboa is a stone's throw away but not sure if you can safely walk there at night from the hotel.
Planes flying overhead are somewhat louder to be heard here than at Double Tree Itaim.

When describing hotels, it's important to indicate whether they are guest friendly, and also whether they are close to the action (prives, clubs, etc).
Sometimes hotel posts lose track of why mongers come to Sao Paulo in the first place.
Members are reluctant to divulge their favourite Airbnb since one guest is enough to make it unavailable. I didn't book this Airbnb this time because it was either unavailable at my dates or very expensive. I stayed there twice already, in 2021 and 2022. It has the advantage of being inside a hotel, so the service is the same as in a hotel (daily cleaning). When I first told the owner (Alexander) I mostly did incalls but had the occasional outcall from time to time, especially during the day, he said "I see no problem with that at all, provided you refrain from making loud noise, and provided of course you do not organise parties". I had 4 different girls visiting. The place is on Predroso Alvarenga in Itaim. You find it on Airbnb under "Apartament in luxury hotel (Etoile / George V)".
On my last stay there the place had aircon but no heating. It may have changed since then so it's good to ask. I'll never again stay anywhere in SP with no heating during the colder months.
And yes, to vaguely answer the previous post, proximities to mongering venues is as per Itaim Bibi to Moema & Co if you are not totally ignorant of the layout of Sao Paulo. I have no time to run a distance check on Google Maps for every venue though, you'll have to do that yourself.
I stayed at 3 different girlfriendly hotels:
1) Double Tree Itaim.
2) Mercure SP Alamedas.
3) Grand Mercure SP Itaim.
I didn't anticipate Double Tree, with its cramped rooms, to turn out the best, or at least the least bad, of the 3. It did so simply because the other 2 hotels were plagued by constructions noise. When I had last stayed at Double Tree, in 2022, it had been plagued by constructions noise, this time over it was quiet. Construction noise was especially bad at Grand Mercure Itaim (jackhammers, grinding, hammering, excavators truck loading...). Double Tree had by far the best breakfast. Internet was problematic at all 3. At Double Tree I had to re-register into the hotel WiFi system before every session. At Alamedas and Grand Mercure the WiFi was too weak, my smartphone kept switching to data, telling me "waiting to connect as soon as the network improves". I hate being stranded anywhere with a choked internet, that's one of the reasons I'm not keen to monger in Africa anymore.
The question is how could I be so unlucky as to draw 2 hotels out of 3 with building sites nearby? It may not just have been bad luck. There might have been a selection effect in the sense that I wanted both good hotels and hotels under 150 USD. Only good hotels with a noise problems would be advertising themselves at under 150. Other good hotels would be closer to 200 USD.
One way to avoid construction noise is to trade it against plane noise by picking a hotel in Moema. Because of Congonhas, they don't build high-rises in Moema like they do elsewhere in SP. Of course if once they decided to resettle the Congonhas airport further afield, all hell would break loose.

I came across this website that shows a lot of guest friendly hotels in Sao Paulo that can be useful for those looking to bring girls into the room.
https://callgirlsinsaopaulo.com.br/services/
Whoever said you can't hear any airport noise in these rooms I don't know what they were smoking. Because I can hear every single screeching aircraft streaking through the sky above this hotel! If airport noise bothers you at all do not stay at this hotel. Great location in Moema but airplane noise is definitely an issue!

Hey XXL, when did you stay at the Grand Mercure SP Itaim? I last stayed there in November 2024 and the construction noise was minor, but I have a new reservation there coming up in April and I am thinking maybe I should cancel. I do not like construction noise.

There is also construction going on at and near the Wyndham Sao Paulo Convention Hotel in Moema. There is a lot of construction going on everywhere you look in SP. The thing about my November stay at the Grand Mercure SP Itaim Bibi was that the construction on the east side of the hotel was almost complete and therefor not very noisy and I had nothing to complain about from that site. Meanwhile on the west side of the hotel right below my balcony there was "new" construction barely just begun and therefore contributed almost no noise as well so in total there was very little noise from either of these construction sites and I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. But that was 4 or 5 months ago. That "new" construction on the west side of the hotel is probably a lot further advanced than when I was staying there where and that is where all the obnoxious construction noise is now coming from. So, I think I am going to cancel my existing reservation and most likely book the Marriott Exec Apartment Hotel instead.
The possible silver lining in all this new construction is that maybe it will translate into more hotel space which will lead to lower prices. KKK! But I kind of doubt it.

Great location in Moema but airplane noise is definitely an issue! In my experience, a slight flight seeps into the rooms with windows facing the mall. I always try to get rooms behind the building with windows not facing the mall. If you are hearing lots of noise, it is possible one of the windows is not closed (housekeeping staff usually opens one of the windows to let fresh air) or you may have very sensitive ears. When I stayed there for the 1st time, I heard lots of noise until I closed the windows shut. Some rooms have small window in the bathroom, close it if open. Some rooms let in sound more than other, so ask for a room change if you are staying there for many days.

There is no bathroom window. I would not describe the airplane noise as "slight" but rather as "moderate" (versus super loud). Of course, it gets better during the times of day when the number of flights slacken.

I think I am going to cancel my existing reservation at the Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi and most likely book the Marriott Exec Apartment Hotel instead. And that is just what I did. Well actually I made 2 reservations, one the Staybridge Suites and then after I thought about it a little another reservation at the Marriott Exec. The reason I booked the Staybridge is because I was already booked in there for one night with my Chase Intercontinental Hotel annual free night voucher. The Intercontinental SP where I am booked for 4 nights on hotel points would not honor my voucher night, so I had no choice other than to book the Staybridge or let the voucher night expire unused. I am not very happy about this (Intercontinental) and I won't forget this. 555.
Anyway, since I am booked for one night at Staybridge, I thought I might as well stay there for a whole week instead of the Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi. But the problem is I don't think the Staybridge is very good. One look at their swimming pool and I knew this was not my kind of place, plus a few (more than one) reviews complain of loud street noise late at night in the rooms. That's when I booked the Marriott Exec where I have stayed at a number of times, and I think it is a pretty good hotel, plus I like its location.
So, anybody stay at Staybridge? What is the verdict? Thumbs up or thumbs down. Staying at the Marriott Exec means I will have to stay 1 night (gratis) at the Staybridge, and I will have to move from the Intercontinental to the Staybridge for that night and then move the next day from the Staybridge to the Marriott Exec. A pain in the butt, but methinks the Marriott Exec is the better hotel to spend 7 nights.
Ola bom DIA, can anyone recommend a nice airbnb in the Moema area? One where there will not be any problems bring back ladies.
Any recommendations will be appreciated. I usually stay in hotels but I would like to try an airbnb.
I see Moema is booked on my dates, I came on April 7, can anybody recommend something in the same price range and area?
I stayed at 2 Mercure hotels: Mercure Times Square and Mercure Privilege in Moema during my recent trip to Sao Paulo. Both those hotels are close to each other like 5-minute walk.

I had stayed at Mercure Times Square many times and all previous stays were in tower-2. During my recent trip I was put in tower-1 because of room unavailability in the other tower. AFAIK, tower-1 room are like small apartments with kitchen and separate bedroom whereas most, if not all, rooms in the other tower are like studios without kitchen. I stayed in room#916 (windows facing to back of the building. Apartment buildings and tennis court was visible from the windows) and there was noticeable airplane noise, much more than what I was used to in another tower.
Mercure Privilege:
Stayed here for the 1st time. Rooms are much nicer than Times Square. I stayed in room#2509 on 15th floor. Room windows were facing away from the flight path but for some reason I could hear airplane noise most days except one day (may be the result of wind direction helping with noise reduction) during my stay.
The airplane noise dies down at night, so it is relatively quiet at night.

I had mixed-up the 2 towers. Tower-2 (it is the tower with restaurant) is the one with apartment style rooms with kitchen and the tower-1 is the one with rooms without kitchen. A forum member informed about this mistake, so I am correcting it.
This hotel has never been discussed here. I have stayed in Melia Paulista and in many of the chain's hotels in Spain, but only visited this hotel once when I went to see a girl who lived there. If somebody has stayed there, please share your experiences with us.

I came across this article this morning. A lot of its talking points are common sense, but I think this may be of interest, anyway, and not only to the germophobes among us. Take a look. https://www.foxnews.com/travel/5-dirtiest-spots-hotel-rooms-experts-say-do-check-in.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during my recent trip to SP during last week Aug 2025. I couldn't bear the construction noise at Hotel Transamerica Executive Paulista, so I switched to this hotel because most of the hotels I usually stay are fully booked because of some events, and it is one of the well-reviewed hotels on ISG. This hotel is nice but in a bad neighborhood very close to Casarao. I felt uneasy walking in the neighborhood during the daytime. There is no way I would walk during at night. I wouldn't stay here again. It may be a good hotel if you visit Casarao most of the time and get girls from there for overnight.
If you are staying alone and booked the room for 2, then the 1st guest you bring in is free of charge as long as you register them. All other guests are charged $R100/ guest per day.
