SC.That's right SC! The only problem is that there is no way to enter the discount code when you are purchasing the subscription via Play Store. Hence you can't get the 20% or 30% discount in that case.
The other reason you can't use a particular card is that maybe it has been linked to another active account or it was linked to your account when your account got disabled due to bad report.
Try with another card maybe virtual credit card.

Use your regular internet provider to set up the account and a VPN after that (if you want to). That should work.

I totally agree with your post. It's funny how we guys, who are presumably successful in our professional lives and do a lot of negotiating, allow ourselves to be manipulated by kids.
I've made fake profiles of girls and done a lot of analysis of the results. I can even tell you what is the premium a well written profile, or hot pics, or 'married' status can attract. 90% of serious mongers will agree to 15-20 k (and then may not meet the girl).
