You're still high on that pipe my dude.

The info I provide isn't my guess. I've been to Cr over 10 times, had mult relationships and friendships there which I'm still in touch with. Both personal and Professional.

This type of into is widely avail so I suggest you do your research instead of theories. And don't just look at things on a Monger's perspective. Besides it's absurd, the fact that we talk in dollars in a country that uses Colones. You mongers do that everywhere. Why don't you see locals coming to establishments like Taormina? Place like that are designed solely for you, the silly and non-smart gringo aka captain save-a-ho in your case with money to spend feeling bad for the wgs LOL.

According to Intl Monetary Fund (IMF), CR's GDP per capita in 2024 is approx $18 k USD, while US is $65 K USD. Not my job to educate but it takes only a few minutes to read and understand the country's basic economic standard.

A single person income can make ends meet in the states with 2 k-3 k USD per month if earning $100 daily. So in CR they are definitely a top earner with that same amt, since minimum wage is less than $800 USD a Month there. Prove this figure wrong and post the correct min wage cz this is a well known fact and listed on govt pages. Otherwise you are just part of the simps that's been causing price hikes for years with these girls.

You old farts love to brag about spending 200 USD an hour and more. It's not a flex man. The WGs there mock y'all instead as they do anywhere when gringos overpay. And you never write about the pensions and places where locals are still paying $10 hourly.

But OK, it's your money.Got your panties in a knot? I live in San Jose, I know what the minimum wage is, and I know many people that make only that. But that does not mean that costs are not high. What it does mean is that people are very very poor. I know what the pensiones cost. They are not $10 hourly, but they are cheaper than $100. The cheapest on Calle 6 were about $20 many years ago. I have not been in the calle 6 ones recently as they are a bit rough to say the least. But not $10. And no gringos to be seen that is for sure.

But my point was that this country and city is expensive relative to the income they make. And I know many of these chicas here, very few get that $100 every day, and if they have a child or two and pay their own expenses they are not wealthy. Unemployment is very high, and families live with many other family members to survive.

And there are actually many locals in these places. The Taormina has many, and many nights it is almost only locals in the bar at the Sportsmens. That has certainly changed in the last few years.

Anyway, welcome to come back and meet some of your old flames here. So how they welcome you if you are offering 10 mil colones per hour.

I'm from Miami bro, and there are plenty of gorgeous girls here that work on the low and taking $100-$200. Makes zero sense to travel to a 3rd World country and pay the same rate there or higher. On top of it when you add the cost of hotel and travel you're looking at $300-400 per hour on average. That's dumb af.

There's one thing you're right about. CR is indeed too expensive for such a poor country. And the reason is because CR used to be the #1 Tourist destination for Americans and Canadians pre-covid. DR #2. Then when they shut down tourism during that time, most travelers especially mongers flock to Colombia as they were the only LA country opened to travelers. So CR is now fucked, as most of their expensive AIRBNBS arent being filled as they used to, hotels are empty, and will take them a while to realize they need to lower costs LOL.

So I am aware of the cost issue in CR. But that high cost is really from tourism and the millions who moved there, bought properties and renting them out. It's not for the locals. The local ticos / ticas that are making less than $1 k USD monthly still live ok. So the girls making $100 USD a day are fine and doing much better than majority of common folks there.

Anyway, I don't really care what you do with your money since obviously I don't know you. In fact when the girls ask for $100, you should offer $500 and that'll have zero effect on me. I don't go on vacations. I can say I've lived there too since I normally stay 3-6 months each country I visit. Currently ending my 6 mo in Col, prior to that was Bra, Dr, Cr, in that order and about to circle back to CR for business.

I'm just venting and making some common sense points with recent reports I read. But I aint that guy who truly care or complain on how it affects me personally cause it doesn't. Not just bc whether I have or don't have money, I have girlfriends and occasionally use seeking or date as friends w benefits mostly. In between those I visit casas in this case pensions, been to sportsmen, rey when it was open, taormina, new life (old), monica's, cocal in jaco, pretty much all of them incl all the strip clubs.

But you must admit there's a difference on how you spend when you're in a place long-term vs a few days of vacation. If you work a whole year in the states and can only escape for few days, then you saved your little $3 k-$5 k and happily blow it in a week. Then you go back telling stories and write your stupid report here. However if you're spending 3-6 months there or lived there as you claim, how the fuck can anyone afford that type of expense daily or even every other day? Ding ding ding. Cause if you roll like these dudes in recent reports while you live there, smashing 1-2 girls a day averaging $250 in pussy, then you're looking at $7500 a Month or more not even counting your own bills. That's straight rtarded and absurd to even think about.

Point #1, locals would never do that shit plus they don't have that kind of money, Point #2, if you live there and want to smash often then you'll get a GF, if not you're jacking off to porn 6 days a week and only visiting Taormina once a week. Anything else you claim is pure bullshit and lies. In pensions yes you can afford to smash daily, with a GF or sugarbaby perhaps you can find an arrangement for daily or every other day. But all that bullshit high price is for "occasional" for the one week or two weeks getaway vaca monger.

So bottom line, a decent single 1 bd studio in san jose from Airbnb is now running at $1500 USD (tourism tourism), whereas in Medellin or Bogota you can find one of the same quality for $800. So for travelers, we notice the higher cost more. Cost of pussy in gringo trap places has always been high in CR. My argument is costs should be going down, not higher since CR has mad competition now like Colombia. But if slowtard old mfr gringos don't negotiate and hold the line then it's why the girls keep it high. If I step in Tao next week and I plan to, I will pay it too if my negotiation fails, just not going to encourage it or write silly reports and say shit like oh I paid that girl $100 but I feel bad for her since that's not enough. LOL.

No fucking ticos or ticas rent those airbnbs, the local men don't pay working girls $100 usd per hour, maybe rarely occasionally. Your entire argument is based on tourism. If you truly live there as a local you would get your head out of ass for one sec, and speak on a local's perspective instead. Besides clearly I'm speaking on behalf of many fellas here, especially those who say they won't return due to those prices LOL. It's only a matter of time till CR and their putas realize things have changed and they should also change. Medellin and Cartagena are booming despites some problems.

And there are actually many locals in these places. Many locals?

You should know this Mr Tico since you now live there. Or shall I educate you a bit more?

In Latin Culture or in the sex trade in general, this is normal. For most of the ticos you see in Tao, pay close attention and you'll notice none of them take the girls or upstairs. Why? Because most of them are Pimps, watching their girls from a distance and counting their money. Yes only a handful of these girls are actually independent. These dudes are also drug dealers, gangs checking out who's spending, and curious locals just enjoying the scene before they go to their own spots in town.

This is exactly the reason you all feel that there's a "wg union" and most don't negotiate or go down in their prices bc the Pimps decide on pricings.

Before I walk in these places, I get the pat-down that most foreigners don't get and get asked for ID, at least the first visit each trip. It's cause I don't look nor move like a typical old gringo retiree, and they'd confuse me for a local or colombiano dealer. I mention this since I drink and blend in with locals, befriend many of them, go play pool and drink $2 beers in other spots. I met many local girls that way in tico bars and even banged some for free. It's how my met one of my exes in SJ. Met some pretty cool people in Cr incl a very good friend from Nicaragua who always made a good wing-man when I go hunt at night.

So yes many locals but they don't usually partake in our activities inside those places which are tourist traps. They've told me first hand why they don't do it themselves. The only thing I don't do is drugs, but we buy big buckets of cheap beers and hang, eat cheap street food. I do that also in Col and Bra.

As a traveler you will ALWAYS face two sides of every country you visit: The superficial side that's designed for dumb tourists, inflated hotel and airbnb prices, people speaks your language a bit, you hang only by yourself or with other old gringos, go on silly expensive tours, visit only fancy restaurants with an English menu and still wonder why it's expensive, an entire network designed to take your dollars. Basically you're the chomp or International simp helping the country's economy and helping the girls and their Pimps get richer. Maybe that's why you claimed $100 USD isn't enough. And you want to pay more so the girls get a bigger cut after Pimp tax deduction?.

Then you have another side where if you're not chicken shit and know how to move like we say here, you may experience the real culture of the country: Learn the language a bit, be brave and try to speak with locals, respect their culture, visit their families if you make a friend, help them financially and give money to the real poor you see in the streets sometimes (instead of inflating puta's egos and yours all day thinking you're a ladies man. Paying for sex), do other activities other than sex.

We should have a slogan in this forum: The one who pays the most for sex is the biggest "loser-back-home". I didn't make that term. Stop fucking overpaying these putas.

When she requests $200 Western Union to buy medicine for her dying grandmother or $500 to buy school clothes for her children.

That's often money being socked to the pockets of an unemployed pimp.

Or possibly you do, who knows. I do live here in CR, am here now, and certainly not paying 1500 US per month in rent. In fact I'm in a local style apartment for a bit more than a third of that. And its been a while since I did the $100 chica thing. Years in fact.

And I'm not arguing that $100 is low, or anything like that. But it is a hell of a lot less in buying power than $60 dollars was even 10 years ago. I have seen arguments on the local board to not pay cien back in the 2000's. I lived here for a few months at a time in the 2012 and on time period, and that money went a lot further than it does now. Anyway. Peace.

"But my point was that this country and city is expensive relative to the income they make".

"the 100 dollars they get per session doesn't go far with cost of living in Costa Rica".

So yes you did claim $100 USD / hour that the wg get isn't enough. Anyone can read what you wrote. I only tried to point out some logic and things maybe you dindt know, and you're prob seeing that now as your tone is changing. This is an alarming concern bc chomps are already overpaying for not so great service. Just don't encourage that crap when the RLD there is already going down to shit.

My entire point is the "Expensive" issue DOES NOT affect locals, mostly. It's what I meant by looking at things on a local's perspective. They don't spend what we spend or move like we do.

While prices are already high for our hobby, no need to encourage more inflation. You claim that some wg gets only 1 client a day, and that's where you thought they may not make enough and I disagreed. If they make $500 a week, they are still a top earner in CR because the majority of the population there make about $25 a day. In the USA a single mom can make ends meet easily with $2 k USD a Month so why not in CR?.
