I was also checking on taking the bus on a round trip from Reynosa. The prices are very reasonable with a round trip less than $50 for the 3 hour ride. From the reports I have read, it is safe to travel during the daytime. You have to have a tourist card since you are traveling beyond the tourist zone and the buses get checked at several toll booths on the autopista. Once in Monterrey, there are no problems. Plenty of reasonably priced hotels (I have never had a problem with an escort visiting the room. Just meet her in the lobby) and motels if you have an escort that prefers those. I visit Mexico couple of times every year for this mongering habit. Typically DF is the most reachable, regarding the convenient transportation. My first visit to Monterrey last June, I didn't learn or do much besides two escorts and two men's clubs. This is some basic info for new comers to Monterrey.

1. HOTELS.

Best western royal courts in san nicolas emains the only chica friendly hotel that I know of. Its regular hotel and about 15 min cab ride to downtown. Metro is easily accessible. The front staff will still ask girl for ID but do not give any problems whatsoever. Rooms are decent and less crowded. Has a good restaurant and offers free breakfast.

There are plenty of love motels where you can actually stay for few days. They have wifi and offer free car parking.

The rooms are not that great. These love motels for 24 hrs can actually be quite in expensive.

La hacienda charges 700 pesos for 24 hrs and is decent. Some rooms can be noisy. Rooms do not have lockers / safes.

When we stayed there were actually 4 trannies who also stayed in the motel. Had no problems. They don't bother you but you will run into them quite often.

Prices are weird. Club charges 60 pesos per song which is for 4 minutes. Full service which includes oral and sex costs another 300-500 pesos depending on the girl.

So a 30 minutes session total cost will be around 420 pesos plus additonal 300-500 pesos total around 800-1000 pesos.

A 1 HR session in more private room is available as well which will cost you extra but will get you a more private room but still ugly.

There are some great looking girls. These clubs can get extremely crowded and noisy.

Girls usually do not approach you and most girls want to go private and don't sit with you and have drinks. They just don't make good money out of the drinks and prefer dances and sex. But there are always exceptions.

Most girls would also exchange phone numbers and might go to your hotel at a later date. This might be reasonable and best option.

There are other medium range clubs as well where sex and drinks are more expensive but less crowded. Again sex is available but at higher price.
My strategy would be to go and spend time with these girls who would be happy to sit with you for drinks. And exchange the numbers and call them later at your hotel.

I make the drive all the time. You do need the proper documents, Mexican Insurance and Reg. If you leave early in the morning, very easy. Leaving late morning or afternoons, can be much longer, construction and check points.

I've been 2 times at the Prestige Strip club (Tuesday and Wednesday night), each time arrive around midnight.

Drive down, walk across, taxi to bus station, bus from NL to MTY, that is what I would do. For convenience, Turimex is simple, you stay on same bus for 8 hours or so. So there are options. Do what works for you.
