Looking for advice of where I can find some action while in town on a cruise ship. This ship will be docked at the Taino Bay port from 7 AM to 3:00. Anyone know of someplace I can go early afternoon and find some chicas / rooms? Walking distance would be ideal, but a cab ride is also doable, as long as it's within like 30 minutes from the port. Wouldn't want to miss the ship.

First of two 2 week stretches done in Puerto Plata. Rented a pricey house with a private pool. That pool got some serious use! Enjoyed it.

So for all those reason, I'm choosing BB due to the convenience to fit it in with my limited time.

You are right the SU chicas probably don't get the milage, but it depends, the hot ones always have higher milage. LOL.
When I am old and very gray BB might be my speed. Going back at 80 was sarcasm apparently went over your head. There is no question about there being way more girls then guys in Sosua. My primary purpose for this short trip is beach, ocean, drinks, food and general tourism. I might even have a scuba diving day. Sexcapades are secondary, but definitely hoping to meet some ladies.
I've had great success meeting other forum members in Peru and Colombia and am open to meeting any members in Puerto Plata. First round is on me!

I did check out the Sosua forum too, but I will be in Puerto Plata. I am definitely able, so I might take off for a night and stay over in Sosua to check that scene out. I've had my eye on Blackbeards and I get email updates from them. Since I am close by, I will probably check them out in person so I can determine if I would stay with them for a week long trip, give or take a few days.

Second longer term stay in the heart of Puerto Plata. 14 days. 26 dates. Only 5 I would / did repeat with. All were pleased with 3 k. None negotiated money ahead of time. Simply "I'll help you with some money after we spend time together".
Weather was terrible. Tons of rain. Unusual for this time of the year. Notes I took:
More obvious WG's on Malecon were present. The majority were around the corner of the malecon by the central area.
More energy in the city. Things are picking up.
FB was good to me again. Of the women I met, all but one were from FB. 1 from Tinder. 0 from Seeking.
Most are late so I would just cancel after 25 minutes and move on. Set standards that you don't put up with them arriving late.
FB waste of time chicas. Poor performance or not attractive or just too needy.

For the dudes looking to avoid or dodge the single moms. Its so easy to look at pictures and see who is trying to hide the baby damage. I plan on returning to Puerto Plata at the end of January or early February for more tourism than hobbying, although I am always open to opportunities!
I would fly direct in Puerto Plata (Santiago is 2 flights for me and I have no interest in connecting though the USA. Is too long a trip). Then I need to get to Jarabacoa. Ideally looking for someone to pick me up at POP and drive me to my lodging in Jarabacoa. I'll need to arrange transportation back too.
I realize this is not the cheapest option, but I am willing to pay for convenience. Lugging a suitcase and carry-on to a combination of tourist buses and guaguas in 30 Celsius heat is very unattractive to me. I hope my post makes sense and is clear. I'd strongly prefer a private or semi-private car or bus for the 2 hour drive from POP to Jarabacoa.
Thanks in advance if anyone has a suggestion for me, or a reliable contact with a driver or agency. My Spanish level is intermediate.

It took me 2 hours to drive from Moca to Jarabacoa and Moca is almost 2 hours from Puerto Plata. There is a lot of twisting and turning up through those mountains. The GPS will tell you shorter than it actually is.

I would fly direct in Puerto Plata (Santiago is 2 flights for me and I have no interest in connecting though the USA. Is too long a trip). Then I need to get to Jarabacoa. I realize this is not the cheapest option, but I am willing to pay for convenience. Lugging a suitcase and carry-on to a combination of tourist buses and guaguas in 30 Celsius heat is very unattractive to me. I hope my post makes sense and is clear. If you think it is a 2 hour drive from Puerto Plata to Jarabacoa then you are sadly mistaken. It took me 2 hours to drive from Moca to Jarabacoa and Moca is almost 2 hours from Puerto Plata. There is a lot of twisting and turning up through those mountains. The GPS will tell you shorter than it actually is.I've been told 2. 5 hours by someone who lives there. I spent four nights as a guest of Playboy Vacation (playboyvacation.com). The company runs out of the beach town of Sosua in the Dominican Republic. For about $1000/ night you stay in a private resort home with escorts who are with you 24 hours / day. Your payment covers all your needs: transportation, meals, booze, gratuities (sort of) and reasonable miscellany. The reviews that are posted on PV's website are, of course, glowing.
Here is a thorough and frank review if you care to read it. Despite it's mixed nature, I suspect this review will generate more business for Playboy Vacations, not less.
TLDR: 3 stars, mostly good people, mediocre experience.
Overview: Playboy Vacations (hereafter PV) is one of a number of similar outfits in the Dominican Republic that I have not patronized so I can not compare them directly to PV.
Cost: In the end, I conclude this is not worth the cost. Admittedly, by ponying up the extra you greatly increase your personal safety, avoid the headache of arranging and managing your stay, ordering food, finding escorts you like (a dangerous adventure in itself), getting around town, etc.
DR is a poor country and many locals who see a foreigner will be looking for a way to take advantage. Assess your risk tolerance before you reject this option based solely on cost. It's also notable that if you want more than one companion, you'll need to pay extra for that. The PV deluxe packages top out at $2000/ night. The more deluxe your trip is, the less of a bargain it is. Then again, if you can afford $2000/ night do you care that much?
The Women: These are mainly young, attractive local girls and most are a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. While they are certainly experienced, these are not professional escorts and their inexperience leads to mixed results.
I also found that while they understood the expectation they have little motivation to act as PV has promised them the same flat fee regardless of how much or what they do in your company. So, their main motivation is to do as little as possible without eliciting a complaint to the boss (see below). Without the promise of gratuities, most activities required verbal negotiation and, in some cases, compromise. Here is the truth with regard to services promised by the website:
MSOG. Yes, with a condom and a varying degree of enthusiasm.
BBBJ. Yes, but there was a range of skill and willingness to persist for long.
CIM. Reliably this is a hard no. Perhaps related to the above.
DFK. Typically no, certainly not without negotiation.
DATY. Typically yes, but no FIV.
GFE. Limited. At first opportunity, most women will quickly retreat to their own space and get on their phone. It may go better if you are young, attractive, charming and can speak Spanish. (But if so, why would you pay for a service like this?
Greek. Hard no. The website does not promise this and I can confirm you're not going to get it.
I also encountered varying levels of resistance to some mundane activities: swimming, going to the beach, using massage oil (acne concerns), etc. The women feel a lot of latitude to refuse activities that aren't strictly promised.
PV's customer satisfaction would be greatly improved if PV would actively collect quantitative information on quality of service (e. G. , rank your companions from best to worst) and tie those results directly to the escorts' pay.
The Staff: Your personal chef will be a delightful woman named Olga (or her equally-pleasant daughter) who has been with PV for over 5 years. Olga will, as promised, cheerfully and skillfully cook you whatever you want within the limits of PV's budget and what groceries are available in the area. She also acts as PV's madam. She'll often be in the kitchen while you are in the bedroom so that the girls don't have far to run if you decide to be an ass.
While I was there, my driver was Junior. Junior was reliably friendly and prompt. Your driver is not your personal driver despite what the website claims. You are sharing him with all the other guests. If you want to go anywhere expect to schedule it well in advance. Also, expect to be told "no" for any trip of a duration greater than 20 minutes. OTOH, there's not much to do and see that's anywhere near as enjoyable as the activities in the house.
The Boss: The person who runs the show is a man named Payton. All negotiations and requests for service go through him.
Quite frankly, Payton is the main reason that PV isn't a more successful business. First, and foremost, Payton is a serial liar. I found him constantly providing me with contradictory information. His main motivation is to keep his clients from getting "off script" from the type of visit he wants them to have. Expect to be told "no" to almost every request you make. Payton's main tactic is to make up a lie to explain why you can't have it. If you have a concern, he'll make up a lie to explain why you shouldn't worry. This would be easier to swallow if Payton were a better liar.
Payton is also lacking in detail management. He sometimes forgot things we'd discussed earlier or mislaid my requests when I was there. When I would remind him of things he would claim I'd never asked for them. When negotiating with him on the phone, I recommend you get written commitment from him (WhatsApp) as well. Don't make any assumptions about what will happen or what you will get.
I think the source of both Payton's behaviors is that he's failing to delegate more of the work he's doing. He's juggling too many customers (and potential customers) with too few staff in order to maximize his profits. And I think he's fighting a serious narcotics addiction. Hiring a "customer service" rep would greatly improve the quality of service that his customers receive and expand the number of "yes" answers they would get. If such a person could spend time on marketing that would allow the business to expand. Adding a second driver would make a big difference too.
The Lineup: First of all, there isn't a lineup. While prostitution is legal in the DR, brothels are not. PV skirts this rule by making the lineup a virtual affair.
The website's assertion that PV has "over 50" girls for you to choose from is completely false. My impression is that he has a handful of regulars and then a penumbra of others who will come sometimes.
About a week before your visit, Payton will have a phone call with you to have you "choose" your women from photos and videos he has sent you of perhaps 20 possibilities. Of these, I suspect about 4 are actually available at any particular time. Furthermore, whatever you choose, most will not be available when you arrive. Payton will draw from a deck of well-worn excuses ("she's on her period", "she's pregnant", "she's out of town", etc.) I advise you to go with the flow on this. Frankly, all the women are reasonably attractive and its their overall attitude that can make or break your time with them. You can't discern personality and attitude by looking at pictures. Let Payton help you in this regard. One thing he clearly knows very well is women in general and his women in particular. Tell him what you like -- both in terms of looks and personality -- and he'll try to help.
Accommodation: You'll be staying at a place called Casa Linda (casalindacity.com). Feel free to read the reviews. It's basically like a hotel but instead of lots of rooms in a single building, it's lots of small homes complete with working kitchen, living room, patio and swimming pool. The backyards are reasonably private. The homes look nice and the grounds maintenance is excellent. The maid staff comes every other day and do an okay job. (Ask for extra towels!) Most importantly, it is a gated community with excellent security. You will feel safe there. This is markedly better than a regular hotel.
Website Truth vs Fiction: The website has a lot to say about what your visit will be like. Here is a rundown on reality:
5 star accommodations. No. But nice. 4 stars.
Airport transfers. Yes, excellent.
Your own private villa. Yes, see Accommodation (above).
Endless Pools. A small, well-maintained pool, not "endless" or "infinity. ".
Various amenities in the house. Yes, though not particularly "luxurious" as stated. The bathrooms are clean. They are equipped with showers not tubs. So, leave the bubble bath at home. Hot water takes a full 90 seconds to arrive to the shower. The bed is a very hard hotel bed so bring a pad if you need one.
Kitchen. Supplies are limited and appliances are functional but not remarkable.
Fully Stocked Bar. No. However, Payton will ask you what beverages you want and supply a semblance of that.
Fully Stocked Mini Bar. No. And you don't want it anyway. There is plenty of good food and drink to be had that you've already paid for.
Wireless Internet. Yes. Reasonably fast and reliable.
Flatscreen TV with HBO and Showtime. The one time I tried, I couldn't get this to work and had more enjoyable activities to do anyway.
Combination Safe. Yes.
Your Own Personal Maid. No. This is the hotel's maid service. They come every other day.
Your Own Private Chef. Mostly, yes. You may share her with another client but she will take good care of you.
Your Own Personal Host On Call 24 Hours a Day. Payton's replies are usually prompt. If you message him in the middle of the night I'd expect no reply until morning.
Your Own Personal Guide and Chauffeur. No, see "Staff" above.
"We Will Get You Anything You Want and Take You Anywhere You Want To Go. " - definitely, no. Some small requests are honored. There is a very short list of places Payton will allow you to go.
Airport Transfer. Yes.
24 Hour Security. Excellent, provided by the property management company.
All Meals. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Yes. Good food.
All Gratuities. Yes-ish. I don't think these are expected but they are gratefully received. Payton will ask that you route all tips through Olga. I am suspicious of this and would recommend you tip directly.
VIP Club Membership. I don't think this does anything. It was never discussed.
Privacy: PV gets high marks from me in this category. This was not a vacation that I intended to mention in my annual Christmas letter. I was never asked for a passport or asked to sign in. Everything was done on a first name basis.
If you want complete privacy there some hurdles to overcome:
Down payment. PV requires a down payment of $500 via PayPal. If privacy is 100% important you'll need to create a throwaway email and associated PayPal account.
Don't be a dope. Think about what items you have with you that have your name / address on them. Is your name visible on your phone? Do you have luggage tags with your name on it? How about any letters or notebook? How about any prescription bottles? Etc.
For what it's worth, I do think you could trust PV with your identity if you wanted to and they would respect it. However, it's notable that their own opsec isn't great. On two occasions, the real name of a woman I was with was slipped by someone working for PV. One time it was Payton himself. But why'know, it's not like you are James Bond either.
Logistics: If you end up booking with PV here is how it goes:
4+ weeks in advance (ideally more) - contact PV via WhatsApp. Presumably this is for encryption. (Do your research before you trust that encryption much.) Ask questions and clear the dates you have in mind. Then, book your flight. Payton will need two important things from you: a) a $500 deposit (via PayPal) and b) your flight itinerary.
About 2 weeks in advance. Payton will send you the "line up" (see above) and a final invoice for what you owe him. Don't be a dick. Get that money now and in $100 bills so it can be counted quickly.
4-5 days in advance. Payton will do a planning phone call with you at a time you schedule. Here you'll "choose" your girls (see The Line Up above) and also tell him what kind of food, drinks and and other items you like.
A few days in advance. Payton will send you some advice about how to pack and what to expect. *Follow this advice. * In particular, don't forget to fill out the DR immigration form before you travel. The only advice I stretched on was packing light. It's good advice but I had some needs that required a checked bag. Payton will also tell you not to bring jeans and to wear shorts but you'll want at least one pair of slacks in case you go out one night.
Arrival day. You will send a photo of yourself on the day you fly so that the driver can find you. Payton also has a guy who can help you skip the line at DR customs. I asked for this but that request got lost so I stood in line. It wasn't that bad really (about 30 minutes). The driver will take you straight from the airport in Puerto Plata to your new "home. " Everyone will be there waiting for you and you should be ready to turn over your entire balance due, in cash, immediately. Then you'll be left "alone" with your female companions and the cooks. The latter will leave after dinner.
Subsequent days. Olga will arrive around 9 am. You'll get a visit from Payton sometime in the middle of the day to check in on you in person. If you are changing out your companions this switch happens here. Olga leaves after dinner. You won't be able to leave the house without arranging it in advance. So if you're a cabin fever type, plan ahead.
Last day. Like any hotel, checkout time is 11 am. You'll be taken directly to the airport. If you, like me, don't fly out until 4 pm you'll be waiting that time out at the airport.
Miscellany: I can't believe you're still reading this. Here are some final tidbits of information:
Recreational drugs. I did not partake of this during my stay but it seemed clear that PV could have helped me acquire these if I wanted to. PV also has viagra (generic) 100 MG available for your use. These will be doled out one at a time.
Spanish. If you don't speak Spanish you can expect to have trouble communicating with your companions. Translation apps are great but they are still awkward. I recommend you learn some key phrases in advance. Here are a few Spanish words and phrases I learned during this trip, I'm sure there are others you may want to know:
Listo. I'm ready.
Mas suave. Softer.
Mas dura. Harder.
Me gusta. I like this.
Ahora. Now.
Despus. Later.
Mas rapida. Faster.
Mas lenta. Slower.
STDs. I was told that PV escorts are tested once per month. I was never offered proof of this assertion and I highly doubt it. Given how busy the small staff is, I suspect this is not really happening but I have no proof one way or the other. I recommend you take additional steps to protect yourself (e. G. , PrEP).
Duration. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Pace yourself. I don't recommend a visit longer than 3 nights.
Is it really all inclusive? - yes, really. However, as discussed above you may find tips an essential negotiating tool.
Found a company called Colonial Tour and Travel that pictures a van / small bus that advertises $83, but the catch is you must be two people minimum, so the charge is really $164 one way or $328 round trip.
Going to keep searching when I have time, as I'm not a fan of paying double the price because I am alone. Does anyone have experience just taking an airport taxi and if so, what was the cost? Going to check the Viatour website to see what they have.

I am planning to visit DR in a few months, never been there before and it will be my first time, I was trying to find reviews on the internet about them, and this is the best and only honest review I read (and yes I read it completely).
I was thinking to book those VIP packages, and I knew that their website is too good to be true, but if the girls wouldn't be around me most of times, then why am I paying that much money?

I spent four nights as a guest of Playboy Vacation (playboyvacation.com). The company runs out of the beach town of Sosua in the Dominican Republic. For about $1000/ night you stay in a private resort home with escorts who are with you 24 hours / day. Your payment covers all your needs: transportation, meals, booze, gratuities (sort of) and reasonable miscellany. The reviews that are posted on PV's website are, of course, glowing.
Here is a thorough and frank review if you care to read it. Despite it's mixed nature, I suspect this review will generate more business for Playboy Vacations, not less.
TLDR: 3 stars, mostly good people, mediocre experience.
Overview: Playboy Vacations (hereafter PV) is one of a number of similar outfits in the Dominican Republic that I have not patronized so I can not compare them directly to PV.
Cost: In the end, I conclude this is not worth the cost. Admittedly, by ponying up the extra you greatly increase your personal safety, avoid the headache of arranging and managing your stay, ordering food, finding escorts you like (a dangerous adventure in itself), getting around town, etc.

I lived in the Philippines for a long time, and DR is the country that comes closest to the Philippines in this regard.
There's one or more of a few possibilities to explain this behavior.
The first one being, she might just be dumb as shit. You could write 2 paragraphs about what you're looking for, when you'll be there, etc, as well as ask her a question or two.
She probably didn't even read it. Or if she did, by the time she read the second sentence, she already forgot what the first sentence said. It could be beyond her attention span. She understands every individual word in your text. But when all the understandable words are compiled together, it's the same thing as throwing them all through an electric fan.
Another possibility is she's just clearing out her inbox. She's got some data on her phone and she's got a shitload of shit to clear out; 37 new messages on each of the apps, plus all the other goofballs already on her WhatsApp.
If you were in town, you'd just say "vamos". Then shed either say OK, vamos. Or come up with whatever bullshit excuse why she can't vamos.
I've vetted out some good ones in advance, and even ended up with one who gladly joined me for my sex holiday, whose profile said "I don't do sex holidays". So it is possible.
But yeah, these one-word responses are hopeless for anything other than a last minute, last resort. I usually just ignore it and let it go to the bottom of the list with the other hundreds. They'll write back if ever they become interested.
You can start pipelining one month in advance but that can be a waste of time. If you don't have boots on the ground you do not exist. I favor Tinder. Some girls are even surprised when I ask to meet them. They ask me how is that possible. I tell them I am in their country. They are ready to go. Don't pull your hair out with advance work. Other than your first night. Boots on the ground will serve you better.

Used to be better when it had a true blue Italian chef. Yes, there are women hanging around, very visible but out on the street, hoping to get lucky. There are guys that pull from that pool, no pun intended. It's almost as easy as whistling. Some women, with a bit more money, or perhaps believing to be more attractive, actually sit in the restaurant, ordering a drink and wait. The hotel does not want to know about your business, as long as it is all done quietly between you and your provider.

How is new garden? I know girls hang out near or outside and its not like BB's.New Garden is a good hotel, good food, etc. Very much girl friendly and close to Baileys, the strip, etc. Most of the time, there are a few girls in the pool or bar area, and or course, the parade of girls walking down the sidewalk outside the restaurant, mostly hit or miss as far as looks. I became a whiz at using the public taxi cars by the Hospital. 50 DOP to Montellano. I explored It twice. Its really only fun on Saturday and Sunday night. I also took two trips to Sosua for some expensive day dates at Santa Fe. If you want extra space in the taxi, just pay 200 DOP and take the entire front seat to yourself. *The construction on the bridge around Montellano (to speed up the travel from Sosua to Puerto Plata) is supposed to be done in December. That will be nice. If you use Moto taxis in POP, always have 50 DOP notes. They will take off with any note higher. They are pirates 99% of the time. Learn Spanish.
I've said it before and I will say it again. This truly is a game changer*Most Montellano chicas are cool with coming over for pool*time, listening to music or to watch a movie. I always say "I will help you with some money after we spend time together" and I leave the ball in their court. It works out well. They know what they need to do.
The queen beds in apartments suck. They are smaller queens, not typical US sized. Get a king bed. Seems like all the girls like to sleep in the middle of the bed. And since they aren't used to AC, their bodies turn into little furnaces when they sleep.

I'm making my first trip to POP in a few weeks. I had initially been attracted by Sosua, but research over the last few weeks had made me realize that POP will be more suited to what I am after. I'm only there for 4 nights (I know. But it is the only vacation time I have before I start a new job, so I'm doing what I can).
I just want to say thank you to Taco for the trip reports. Without those, I wouldn't have realized that there was a FB scene. That is huge for me as I am used to speaking with Medellin chicas on FB. That helps me greatly. Thank you!

I wanted to rent JetSki's or waverunners and every time I look it up there like super expensive there's like $200 for an hour $120 for 30 minutes does anybody know any reputable places to rent that isn't that expensive I think US based wave runners are 75 to 100 an hour.

You likely will be paying gringo taxi prices / chica prices for the cruise traveler. You can also ask the taxi to take you to BB and have them wait and drop you back. With BB at least you know some chica will be there when you go and Costambar is not far from the cruise place if I remember correctly.

Ok, staying in POP for a month, and FINALLY made it to Blackbeards to check it out.
Arrived Thursday around 1 pm. 10 Dominican chicas lounging around in different shaded spots around the pool. I didn't see any mulatas.
I ordered up a beer and some food and wandered around a bit. Sat with a group of 4. None impressed me at all. One was old, one had super rough skin, one was super gutter (calling out dudes "when are you going to come and F* me") and one was kinda decent with her mom belly. I would say 90% of them were single moms. Only 1 or 2 dudes lounging around the pool, which actually was very nice. Clean.
Food was also great.
Chatted with a few more but they all seemed super lazy. Just no energy. Most of them were 6's and 7's and not in good shape. One chica said that they do see some cruise passengers on occasion but they mostly wait for the gringos that come to party in large groups. One large group was checking out that day.
All in all, not my scene (better at night?) but for the dudes that are just down for a piece, go for it.

Why'all are both right! Tinder and FB is a gold mine for POP. Thats pretty much all I use. But the flake ratio is CRAZY high. So much patience is needed but I think the experiences are more genuine and never rushed. YMMV!

Any advice?Bro, if this is your first time leaving the country, you should not plan to stay an entire month. You are going to be confronted with a lot of new experiences, that you are not used to, especially visiting a developing nation. Some people call it culture shock, but you might wind up getting your self into a situation where you don't know what to do. You could get sick, injured, or find yourself in trouble. If this is really your first time, I would suggest maybe a more civilized place like Denmark. Or, if you are insistent on the Caribbean, maybe Turks and Caicos or Aruba, as these tend to be more developed than the DR. This is just my opinion, but I'm trying to give you useful advice.
There has to be SOME hotel in POP that has vacancy, but it might not necessarily be the particular place you are looking for. If you get an airbnb you are completely on your own. No front desk person to suggest a doctor, translate from spanish or english, exchange your currency, or help you with anything else. Plus it will be less secure unless it's in a gated community.
You can do whatever you would like, I'm just giving you my advice. Never book anything at the last month. Flights should be 2 to 4 months in advance, and hotels at least a week, if not longer. Though the best prices on hotels tend to be at the last minute.

That said, I have a friend staying there now that told me that he has bribed the guard with meals and he brings in chicas regularly but my advise would be to stay elsewhere even though it is a great place to stay otherwise.

Just an FYI for those cruising to Puerto Plata. There is no massage parlors in the Taino Bay shopping area. I can see how one could mistake it, as there is a "health" store that could pass as one, but it's just a store that tries to sell you expensive face creams. I walked through the shopping area and out to the area of the city that connects to the port. There I met a cab driver named Hector who answered all my questions about massage places and was very willing to take me. Problem was, I was just out for a long walk and had no funds. He showed me a small poster of a place that looked like a night club. I didn't get the name or address. But he advised that anything is available for a price. Unfortunately, I couldn't get back for a visit as the ball and chain was awake and wanted to go shopping. Oh well. I tried. Adios. PS. To: DBrown84. Thankfully I was able to find something at Casa Valeria but it's only a few days so I will have to either book another hotel while I'm there, see if I can extend my stay at Casa Valeria (if there's anything open), or book an AirBNB.

Looks like Puerto Plata / Sosua area is getting ready for superbowl!. Landed at 1 pm last week, started Tinder and even before I got to my hotel there were three holas from matches. The challenge with Tinder there seems to be an oversupply of horrible looking chicas. If the problem is swiping left too many times before swiping right. Not a bad problem to have. I'd go either area.Depending on how you book the room, either directly with the hotel, or through an OTA such as Expedia, Priceline, etc. During the registration process it will usually ask you how many adults, and how many kids for the room. Assuming you are going alone, you can still put 2 adults for the room, and the vendor may or may not ask you for the same of the 2nd person. If they do, it's usually optional and can be left blank. If your goal is to trust a woman enough to spend 4 days with her, you could literally check her into your room as the 2nd guest. When you arrive, tell the front desk person that your other guest will be arriving later. Try to be as vague as possible. If you say the other person is your wife, and the same clerk is working when she arrives, you just created a shitstorm by presenting a foreign passport at checkin, and now she shows up with a Dominican ID. Makes it look even worse if you don't speak fluent Spanish, and that's the only language she knows. If asked, better to just say she is your friend, and the reason she's not there is because you arrived by plane / boat and she's already on the island, but busy until later. Less details the better, and less risk getting caught in a lie.
I did something similar on a recent trip to Santo Domingo, but I had no intention of letting her stay in my room, or overnight at all. It was just to get her into the hotel, because the security guard at the front door was a douche, and I thought it too risky to try and bribe him. I did not have a problem with the front desk, and they did not charge me extra. But you have to make sure the girl brings her physical ID with her, as they will not accept digital images of it.
Punta Cana is a tourist trap, and would not be first on my list. I think Puerto Plata is a better choice. Good luck.

It's actually the opposite of what that dude wrote. Wtf would you trust a driver that a so called "friend" referred to you? That driver is driving a personal car, you don't know them, likely with no insurance or no taxi insurance. A friend of mine got robbed like that. Some guy from sosua he met on a prev trip gave him a local taxi contact, upon return at STI next trip he called the guy for a ride, and the guy dropped him off but next day driver and gang buddy came to my friend apt demanding money w threats.
The thing is as long as you get a real licensed or official taxi from the airport you will be fine. I do the same in Brazil, Col or anywhere.

I believe the trip from Puerto Plata is like a minimum of 40 minutes, from Amber Cove, it will be 1 hour each away + traffic.
Go to Bailee restaurant attached to Sosua Inn in err. Sosua, pretty hard to miss. There are usually some chicas hanging around unless it is very early in the morning. Take them to a cabana of your choice (Dulce Secretos but in my opinion, it is not that good, I think it tops out at 800/900 pesos) in a moto, do your thing and get back.
