I like to stay in Laurles and you can take the metro or Uber to the Casa during the day and still walk around La 70 at night to eat or have a drink. I have never stayed in Centro but if you seach the Medellin tread lots of people recommend Hotel Botero (I think).

Hi,

I am traveling to Medellin next month. I am planning on visiting casas in centro during the day and staying in at night.

Is there any hotels in centro that I can stay at which are walking distance from many casa?

I am thinking about Hotel Kong since it has four casas on the same block.

Thanks.

I buy all my Unlocked phones on Ebay, Amazon and other companies.

Whatever country you go to Buy their sim card.

I spent 3 months in Buenos Aires and paid maybe US $40. You can call home, text, send photos, etc. For no extra charges.

Also use WhatsApp, it's free.
Most Americans are not smart enough to use it.

Hi I am thinking of saving some money and ditching Verizon for Google FI. How is the service internationally, I travel for fun a lot so that is important. I currently pat $10/ day for Verizon travel pass. It works great but it gets expensive for 3-4 weeks.

I have a Pixel and am thinking of upgrading and that is when I would switch.

Thanks WT but I have a Huawei unlocked with a Colombian sim card, but I am looking for options for my US phone I need to have that for work even when I am outside the USA that is why I had the global pass on Verizon.

I do use Whatsapp, you are right that most americans do not know about whatsapp.

Is your other phone unlocked?

If it is just get another sim card.

Just bring an unlocked phone (or get it unlocked in Colombia) and get a local SIM. My phone plan with Tigo is 55 k a month and includes 8 gig of data (4. 5 g), and unlimited calling and texting including to mexico the US Canada and PR. And it was month to month from the get go.

Many reports warn of street trannies carrying knives. Is this to do with them just wanting to defend themselves or do they also attack?

Is it worth trying to get them on side such as by giving them a small tip for giving directions or something, just in case they would help you out if someone attacks you?Trans chicks who work the street have a very high incidence of robbing their customers. Caveat emptor. Also for whatever reason Jackson doesn't want this forum to have anything to do with that subject.

Getting a new SIM card in every country and then sending daily reminders to all of his contacts saying "don't forget, this is my phone number for this week" probably isn't the best option.

Google Fi or T-Mobile is probably the best bet.

I have a Pixel and am thinking of upgrading and that is when I would switch.Google Fi is way better than that. I think the most you have to pay is $70 per month. It is limited to a few phones and it may work on Iphones. You can get a google fi sim card in the USA, and it has to be activated in the USA Once there, each country you enter, you have to activate service, which is usually no big deal. For the most part, it is the best way to keep a phone number and go around the world with it. It is way better than Verizon or Tmobile pass. FWIW, I bought a google pixel Xl 2 for $250. Best camera phone there is.

Disaster has struck! So I'm on my way to Medellin (currently in Panama) and my brand new Samsung phone has been struck with a fault in the charging socket. It is now completely flat along with my WhatsApp and FB contacts. Can you believe this shit? It's like 2 months old.

Anyway that has left me in a difficult position so I have a couple of questions. Does anyone know of a Phone repair place that will be open tomorrow? FYI I'm staying at San Peters in Laureles if there's anything nearby.

The second question is where would be my best bet to find a super cheap but functional smartphone nearby? Anything will do.

I guess that rules out Uber / Cabify from the airport.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.Your best bet for a cheap phone, outside of El Centro, is the Monterrey mall, which is next to the Poblado metro station. It's a mall with dozens of cell phone stores. There's another smaller mall like it in Laureles, but I can't remember exactly where. I know it was somewhere north of the metro line, but can't recall if it was north of Suramerica or Estadio.

If so, you can get an external battery charger. I have one I can loan you.

Thank you to everyone for the great advice and particularly Fun Luvr for the offer of a loan phone.

In the end I got it sorted with a repair guy that was on a street near Suramerica station. Took him a few hours to get the parts but I got it back late afternoon. I'the never realised how exposed you are without your phone. No maps. No Google Translate. No Uber. Etc.

Annoyingly I've not been able to lay any pre-emptive messages of my arrival with my FB contacts so it's happening late. Might wander down to park Lleras later.

I use a Three-UK SIM when I head to Colombia. It's valid in 71 countries including USA and all of Europe.

12 GB of data is enough to last 5-10 trips, and runs $40 at Amazon. There's a cheaper 1-month SIM too.

No registration, or anything. Slip it in and you're good to go. Works out cheaper than getting a Colombian SIM, especially if you can split the $40 over a few trips. Everyone in Colombia uses Whatsapp (Even Rappi the delivery service) so no worries there.

Looking for user friendly beer / alcohol to stock for the ladies and friends that stop by.Most of the girls are fine with the cheap Alguila Light, although they'll also drink Corona if you want to spend the extra money. Smirnoff Ice coolers are also pretty popular. Rum and Bailey's are usually acceptable.

I have used 2 Spanish schools in Laurles Colombia Immersion and EleFun. Colombia Immersion was much bigger many people classes larger 6+ and more expensive. My last trip I stayed a few blocks from Elefun it was great. Only a few people my classes were only me and one other guy from Brasil. I think it is new but great vibe and the cost is less than CI and they include a beginners Salsa class with the tuition and food on Wed. So I would totally recommend Elefun. It is well worth the money. I might be around in early Dec if you want to pm me. I know laurles / estadio really well.

Ok, so my fellow punters who may have gone thru this, help me!

I got claro sim which I bought and registered phone with them in my last trip. I had prepaid package so expired after few weeks; Now I'm going to be back in haven within next few weeks and was looking to recharge my sim (I am signed up on claro app), and while attempting to recharge, it ask for "Colombian ID" when entering CC / Debit card info. One option is Cedula, other is foreign ID and 3rd is Tax ID.

Given I don't have 1st or 3rd option, I tried 2nd and entered my US passport credential (as I used that when registered my sim and phone IMEI initially), but it's not letting me thru (charge) on credit card charge.

Anyone who had same situation, can you share what you did and how I can recharge my sim from USA?

My main intent is to have a working phone when I land (As I land after 10 p) and wanted to utilize Uber / In driver option to be picked up from airport and get to poblado.

Gracis.

Gracis.I have found that many of the online sites will not accept foreign credit cards, but they will gladly accept the card in person. There are online sites where you can recharge. One is mobilerecharge.com. Another option is to use the free wifi at the airport to order an Uber, then buy minutes when you are in Medellin. If you have a chica friend, you can ask her to buy a couple mil minutes for your number.

Looking for user friendly beer / alcohol to stock for the ladies and friends that stop by.As my first post I think its good to have 1. Something you like and want to drink, for me I always have vodka at the ready since I don't drink anything else and for the girls I normally offer a combination of beer, wine, coffee, or aguardiente (some love it some hate it). I always like to keep a bottle of water available. If you do that you've got everyone covered from a pro to non pro. Don't forget to have something worth snacking on either. Chocolates work.

My solution was to open a Nequi account and recharge from there and when I travel just leave a bit in the Nequi account to recharge my Colombian SIM before I get there. Not sure if you can get Nequi without a cedula though; worth looking into.

That international SIM they posted here may work for some but won't work for me, because I NEED to be able to use the hotspot option. I now work a lot online and I need to have a plan be in case the internet craps out wherever I am.

Buy at the best time: Tuesdays at 3 pm EST.

Fly on the cheapest days, which are Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.

I'm in same situation. COPA is my favorite and prices for me are up much more than $100.

I just searched flights in March 2020 and the prices are astronomical nearly $900.00 and up!! WTF!It might be the timing. Generally, the airlines have a certain number of seats they must sell in order to break even.

The people booking way in advance might get their seat cheap, or they might pay more (when the airline believes that those people MUST fly on those days. Usually because they are limited in their vacation days.).

Generally, there is a bell shaped curve. First 5-10% of seats sold are cheap, in order to create the feeling of scarcity, and get the next 10-15% of seats to sell. The prices generally go up until half the seats are sold, plateau after they hit their break even point, then come down until 75% of the seats are sold. Then, in the last two weeks, the price goes up, taking advantage of those passengers that HAVE to go, but just got around to buying their ticket. However, in the last 72 hours, if the last few seats have not sold, they will lower the price in order to tempt the last minute traveler.

I flew Spirit for 5+ years, until 2016 when they left me stranded overnight in Ft. Lauderdale. I have been flying Copa for the last four years. The fares I have paid range from $248 to $576. The highest was in 2016. I don't remember how much in advance I made the reservation. The lowest was in 2018. I made that reservation three weeks before the flight. Most of the fares were between $350 and $450 (20 flights total). I made a reservation this week for travel at the end of January. The fare is $500.

I am glad Spirit stranded me because that caused me to stop flying with them. Copa is so much better. I usually get upgraded to business class. Probably too many people are qualifying for their Silver status because starting next year, they will award one-half segment for each segment flown with an Economy Promo ticket. I have already qualified for Silver status for next year, so I'll deal with the changes next year.

The same exact thing almost happened to me about 2 weeks ago coming back from Medellin on Spirit. I landed in Ft Lauderdale and was supposed to leave at 10 PM to Orlando. 4. 5 hours later the plane finally showed up. I ended getting home around 3 AM with nothing to show but a missed day at work and extra cab money spent do to my ride hauling ass. After complaining to Spirit they gave me a 50 dollar voucher which isn't shit. Anyway while I was at Ft Lauderdale, half of the folks waiting were convinced that the flight would be cancelled and that we would be stranded there all night. Almost like this happens all the time. For me there will be no more connecting flights only direct. Or maybe I'll give Copa a shot. I never considered them before unless going to Nica or Panama.

Great meal served for free where as Spirit charges $5. 00 for a bottled water! I don't however like that Copa stops in Bogota first. Spirit is direct to Med from Lauderdale, but Spirit does suck except for the rates. I went back on there site last night and the last week of Feb. $312.00 rnd trip. The next week is tripled that fair!!

I fly out of Orlando to Medellin.

My questions is if flight is direct, does it still get cancelled often??

Have the direct flight option with Spirit but never took a chance due to the bad reviews.

Like others have mentioned, have always used Copa and never had any issues other than all their flights are connected through Panama city instead of direct to Colombian cities.

It was delayed both going and coming back. I stopped doing that. Now I just use a normal airline to get to Bogota and Avianca for domestic within Colombia. Shit I usually book business class on Avianca because its so cheap. Avianca is almost always delayed but that's Colombia for you.

Have some questions that will rightfully be answered with RTFF but whatever, my funeral. I'm growing curious about the monger scene, found on accident a while back, to fly from Texas to some Central / South America countries, a hidden trick is to drive / bus / both to Monterrey MX as Mex's Big Three CDMX, GDL, and MTY consistently have cut rate fares. Recently seen Interjet MTY-BOG for around $220 in January.

Some annoying questions geared towards contemplating Colombia while the offer is there: Of the Big Three, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, or (write in), which monger scene is the one I want to focus on? Realistic budget for short sessions / long (if offered) sessions, approachable talent solid 7's and ups that is no old / high mileage, not underwhelming gordas, not strung out addicts, no dark alleys where dudes can shank?

As far as landing talent, is it instant like Tijuana street scene, Manila bar scene or is it a jump thru long drawn out hoops like Prague, Budapest, Buenos Aires?

And the unrest / protests making rounds, any outlook if those will simmer down or continue well into months of 2020? I'll start tearing thru General Info tonight and throughout week when I have time, if anyone has links to past posts already covering these questions, paste away.

All three have setup similar to Tijuana. Bogota and Medellin have more daytime and cheaper options, street scene is much larger.

Price is negotiable starting $50 US equivalent. You simply walk into the Plaza de LOS Coches (known on this forum as the clock tower) after say 10 or 11 pm and start shopping around. They are standing around in this plaza.

There are also a couple of night clubs within walking distance of Plaza de LOS Coches that all the women there are freelance prostitutes. Cartagena is the simplest to navigate and guaranteed to have young gorgeous women. The other cities, from what I have read, because I have no experience with them (outside the Facebook scene in Medellin, which has those hoops you were referring to) are geared more towards casas and strip joints, hit or miss on quality but much better prices. There are SWs in the other cities but again on the quality YMMV.

To summarize, Cartagena is the easiest place to approach gorgeous young working girls, it's just not the cheapest but it is also not expensive by gringo standards.

As far as I have read the protests are basically over. The president even announced that he was tapping into oil funds basically to raise money to meet demands for the protesters.

Actually it's just as easy in Medellin or Bogota, and all day long.

And less expensive.

Cartagena has it's charm, however, my third choice of the 3 mentioned cities for ease, available and price.

Medellin: Southern California weather.

Cartagena: Caribbean weather.

Bogota is almost a pure brothel location unless you go to the locations in Santa Fe. It's mostly a fuck and go place.

Medellin has brothels but is more of a facebook hookup place.

Cartagena is an open air brothel. You will find pussy everywhere especially after 10 pm in the old city.

Those are your choices. You can spend as much or less in any of these places. Cartagena is the exception you won't find 10 $ pussy like you would in downtown Medellin.

I didn't say you needed to. LOL.I know, all good.

In actuality, Medellin has a pretty good casa scene, though it used to be waaaay better.

Strip clubs can be good too.

Gustos can be interesting at least, and talent available if you don't mind the price gauging or you're good at discounting.

Centro is great, especially w the Vennie influx, and most especially if you know the language and can jive with the chicas.

You're right though, the FB scene has taken off, and though I've made contacts, I just find meeting girls in person works best for me so I just haven't gone through with it on FB.

It is hard to be beat Cartagena for night time action, past like 10 or 11 pm like you guys said, for the picking of the beauties in the Square.

I'm planning my first trip Colombia in March for about 10 days. I'm thinking of spending about half my time in Bogota and the other half in Cartagena. I know some basic Spanish and I have been mongering in Asia before. I'm just looking for recommendations. Any help would be great? Thank you.

Hello,

I'm planning my first trip Colombia in March for about 10 days. I'm thinking of spending about half my time in Bogota and the other half in Cartagena. I know some basic Spanish and I have been mongering in Asia before. I'm just looking for recommendations. Any help would be great? Thank you. Here are some recommendations:

1. RTFF. Most questions you have have already been asked and answered. You'll also find answers to questions that you wouldn't think to ask.

2. Work on improving your Spanish. The better you can communicate, the better the experience. You won't find many English speakers in Colombia.

3. Ask better questions. What sort of recommendations are you looking for? Restaurants? Crepes and Waffles is worth a visit. You'll find them all over. Or try Pizza 1969, also with several locations. Money exchange? Use ATMs. If you absolutely must use a money exchange go to the southwest corner of Carrera 15 and Calle 127 (Bogota). You will find a mall there (across the street from Centro Comercial Unicentro) that is almost exclusively money exchange places. There must be 25-30 of them. Shop around to get the best rates.

The water is drinkable. The public transportation is cheap, efficient and incredibly busy. You can find complete meals for less than $3, including drink and tip. Tips are automatically added to the bill at many restaurants. It's 10% and voluntary. Your check will have 2 prices, with or without propina. There's no need to tip more.

Service at restaurants can be frustrating. When you first sit down, someone will bring you a menu. If you want to place an order, you need to flag down a waiter. If you need a refill on your drink, you need to flag down a waiter. If you need your check, you need to flag down a waiter. If your table bursts into flames and you want someone to put the fire out, you need to flag down a waiter. Almost never will the wait staff check on you. You can sit there 30 minutes after closing and they'll patiently wait for you.

Don't they give the same exchange rate at the ATM as they give at the casas de cambio?. I pretty sure it was 3. 200 at the money exchanges in Oviedo and what they were giving at the ATM plus the ATM fees. Loyd say use ATM I'm a fan of carrying cash and glad I did bancolombia stuck me twice. 2 different ATMs in 2 different locations didn't give me my money and took it out of my account. Still waiting on my bank to reverse on of the charges. Red Aval or however you call it after the 2 time they played me and was good for the rest of the trip. F Bancolombia. And that's why I like to carry cash.

Colombia is flush with USD paper, and until recently it was much more advantageous to draw pesos from ATM, given no ATM fees at your institution and no ATM fees at the machine itself, and paying VISA exchange rates, that 2. 5% above XE rates. Now it's still better to withdraw at ATM but the advantage is negligible. You should always have some cash or other arrangements to back up your trip if your cards fail or get blocked. However there are risks to having too much cash. Also, when you do cash exchange at cambio, they know exactly how much you have, and I personally don't like it. ATM gives me more privacy. Numerous casas de cambio websites are available online with posted rates, so you have to check each time before the trip and make an informed decision.

I would change it in Oviedo where I don't see any danger and changed $600 dollars at one time and walked all the way to where I need to be without one problem.

In Medellin Oviedo mall is the best spot for money exchange. In Bogota the best spot is across from Unicentro mall.

For ATMs, I prefer Davivienda. They allow me to take up to 2 million per transaction. The max withdrawal depends on your bank. Other people have reported a lower amount.

I tend to use ATMs, but carry some emergency dollars.

Hello few lovers of Latin ladies,

I'm finally ready to emerge myself into the Latin culture. I'm love my home country but feel the need to get out and explore, maybe even move to Colombia in the next 5 years. I have been raised to believe that Colombia is not safe, but at 40 years old I know this is a lie. We prob have more gang shoots here in Vancouver and Toronto ever year.

Anyways ID love some help and advice on what to do and where to go. I have spent the last 6 months learning as much Spanish as I can in respect of the people Ill be meeting. My big plan is to attend the Storyland EDM music festival so ill be landing in Bogota and then heading north ASAP. ID like to spend 10 days exploring the north beaches and gorgeous women. Then maybe 5 days in Medellin and then 5 days in Bogota to end my journey.

I'm going to read up as much as I can over the next week by cruising through all your helpful threads.

Is there any advice you have or links to some good reads.

Some of my concerns are.

- cell phones, should I buy 3 unlocked phones before I leave.

- Should I use airBNB's.

- chica friendly hotels.

- how to access my money.

And most of all, any fellow north american peeps visiting in January and want to hang out?

Thanks.

I use airbnb's because I like more space and privacy. I've never stayed at a hotel, other than two nights at the Mansion.

The best exchange rates are at ATM's. Hopefully there are some banks in Canada with cards that do not charge ATM fees nor foreign transaction fees. Otherwise, you'll have to use the exchange stores, and sometimes their rates are pretty bad.

Has anybody ever been to the San Andres Island? If you have, how is the action. I did a google search of the place and look at the Image and section and the first I got was a web page with these beauties on it.
I read some past post and it seems to say that one should bring their own candy from the Columbian Mainland. Is this true? I have a sweet piece of candy and she wants to take me here? Should I go with her or should I go by myself.

Otherwise, you'll have to use the exchange stores, and sometimes their rates are pretty bad.For Canadians with accounts at major banks. No problem using ATM's. But they all charge you an exchange fee of between 2.5 and 3.5 % as compared to the real mid-market exchange rates. But no matter what you do you are going to pay that. Worse if you try to buy Colombian pesos in Canada. And worse if you pay 2 exchange fees by going to US dollars then to Colombian pesos. Also. All the banks, as far as I know, also charge a foreign transaction fee. $5 most recently at CIBC, TD, Scotia. Others I don't know. So I always try to take out the maximum to minimize the impact of that fee. Also, depending on the bank in Colombia, you may pay an ATM fee. Balance all that out. My last visit I used Davivienda and took out larger amounts. Also I need to check which Canadian banks have a 3.5% hit on the exchange, and which a 2.5%.

Cibc (or others) may say they don't charge an exchange fee. However they do say that there is a 2. 5% cost built into their exchange rate. So be careful of the claims of "no exchange fees.

There are no Canadian banks that charge less than 2. 5% for foreign exchange to Colombia. Unless something has changed recently. Many have upped it to 3.5%.

And I wouldn't even bother trying to change actual Canadian dollars in Colombia. I can't imagine that working well.

Can anyone clear this up for me. A friend told me that as a US citizen going to Colombia I needed to show proof that I had a return ticket specifically to the US, even if my round trip ticket was from another country going to Colombia and going back to that country. For instance. I am a US citizen but I'm in the Dominican Republic. I want to visit Colombia from the Dominican Republic. I don't need to go back to the US to get to Colombia.

I buy a round trip ticket in the DR, to return back to the DR. My friend says even though I'm returning back to the DR, Colombia ( or maybe only the ticket agent ) wants to see that I have a return ticket to go back to the US too. He said Colombia ( or once again only the ticket agent ) doesn't care about the date you return to the US, just that you have proof you are returning to the US. I find this info hard to believe. So does any of this ring a bell?

Showing the return ticket lets me get away from these pests. This is really a pain in the ass as I do not like to be boxed in with a round trip ticket. The reason I book the flights seperate is if for some reason you can't make the first flight they cancel the return ticket. Sure they will give you a refund if you cancel, but that refund is always a rip off.

I really wish I did not have to buy a return ticket till I'm in country. I like to sometimes change the departure city, but you can't when you are locked into a round trip ticket.

I know a fellow who only buys a one way ticket, and he gets a phony receipt for a return ticket that he shows to the ticket agent. As far as when you arrive in the country you are visiting they have never asked to see a return ticket. Only the pricks in the USA airports seem to do.

So does any of this ring a bell?Airlines want you to have a return ticket to the country you are leaving from or an onward ticket to another country. The reason for this is if you are denied entry at your destination country and have no ticket / funds to return to the original country you started your journey in, the airline would be responsible for transporting you back. The airlines can also be fined by the host country for this. Some gate / ticket agents may not check your return ticket status but they run the risk of being fined themselves if a traveler has no return ticket or money to buy one.

Not true. You don't need to show a return ticket to anywhere. That sounds ridiculous anyway. I go from Peru to Colombia to DR or Colombia to Peru all the time. How are they going to tell you that you must go to your own country when leaving Colombia? Most countries just want you out, they don't care where you go.I can't get anybody or find anything official info online confirming what these guys said. I think they were mistaken. For one their flights to Colombia were initiated from the states. And if they bought a one way ticket, they were told at the airport in the states that they needed a return ticket. I believe they took that info and ran with it. Meaning, they were mistakenly told they needed a return ticket, when what is needed was any ticket indicating they were leaving Colombia. Not a specific return ticket.

I've seen others report they were asked, by the airline for proof of a ticket back out of Colombia. However, there's nothing about any such requirement on the Colombian website regarding entry requirements. I find it impossible to believe that some country would try to force your travel itinerary. I've never been asked about my outbound arrangements when going through Colombian customs and immigration.Yes, you never been asked about that while in Colombia. But maybe you never bought a one way ticket to Colombia? Because if you did you would be asked about your plans to leave Colombia before you board your flight to Colombia, and before you even get to see an immigration officer in Colombia. In this instance, will some check in agents insist that you need a return ticket back to the US, instead of just saying you need proof of travel leaving Colombia?

Sometimes I do not book round trip tickets going out of the USA. When I have done that they always question me if I have a return ticket. I then show them my return ticket which I purchased by itself.

Only the pricks in the USA airports seem to do.I guess between customer and airline staff it's a semantics game. If they tell us we need a return ticket, they don't mean specifically back to the country you are from. Just a ticket leaving from that country. When I was living in the states, I flew JetBlue and United to get to the DR. I flew one way with no problem. Years later, I heard guys say JetBlue agents were requiring you to have a return or onward ticket from the DR. American and United never gave me a problem with having a one way ticket going to the DR. Philippines? Always had to have a ticket leaving there. Now I use a website where I purchase my onward flight itinerary, and it expires within 48 hrs.

True, the airline agent will ask for your return ticket to leave Colombia.

Doesn't matter to where.

Once you arrive in Colombia, the officials there don't ask about it.I just think the couple of guys I spoke to mistakenly believed they had to have a return ticket back to the US because a ticket agent said so. But the agent meant to say any ticket leaving Colombia.

Their native language may not be English. So some may be limited in how they convey information in English to customers at the check in desk. They need to be clear that it could be an onward ticket or a return ticket. Not just say you need a return ticket (as if onward and return are exactly the same thing). Because that could mean something different as far as air travel goes and who they are talking to.

The YMMD type of experiences based on who you run into at the airport. One doesn't know exactly what they will hear until they encounter an agent.

For the most part, all of the responses here leads me to believe certain airport agents may give out conflicting or false information. And others may have no clue. And for guys that bought a one way ticket but werent prepared to show proof ( of onward travel ), they may end up buying a return or onward ticket just to get on their plane. It would be real interesting if some agents were telling people they needed a "return" ticket just to boost sales with their carrier?

I recall my last trip from Thailand back to the Philippines. The agent casually asks if I have a ticket leaving the Philippines? It's almost like they are asking, for the sake of asking. But they really do want to see my proof. So I whip out my phone, show them the onward flight itinerary. They appear to verify it on the computer, because they are typing like they are inputting info from my phone. Then they hand my phone back and say I'm good to go.

Its like 265.00 bucks Canadian to get and there is a shortage apparently. Is this something I need to worry about getting for a chica? Any thoughts guys? It's not required going from Canada to Colombia. If you go from Brazil to Colombia, you must have the vaccination. You will not get yellow fever from a chica, only from a mosquito bite. Very little risk of yellow fever in the major cities in Colombia.

Any thoughts guys? There is a shortage in the US and Canada, and you likely won't find it for 265 CAD at present. There is another vaccine available and also there is shortage. You can get it cheaper in South America but it takes 10 days. See more information at WHO and CDC sites. Colombians don't ask for the card and proof of vaccination. You don't need it in major cities, outside is another story; and nowadays dengue and measles are issues. Situation in Brazil is different and many areas are affected with exception of north-east of the country. The only worry is when traveling between countries in Latin America.

How available / costly is it in Colombia?Great question, I plan on researching this in the coming weeks.

I just had my regular blood work up done, getting it done about every 6 months and nock on wood am good and also have had long conversations with my general MD doctor back in LOS Angeles and he highly recommends as a safety precaution.

I have learned that you can even take it a few days before you plan on getting into risky behavior.

Lets see if others have some information as to its availability and cost.

My insurance pays all but $10, ask your MD any questions, my only advice is do not buy it online from India China et al?

That shit is pure garbage.

(I would be careful buying anything this important in Latin America) I had a pharmacist at a chain pharmacy in Tijuana tell me not to buy rx drugs from his pharmacy ("they are not very good") he said with shame in his tone, if I could cross the border go get it there.

He explained there isn't any FDA or quality control, I was really sick and he was being a nice guy instead of just taking my money.

The Tall Man.Are you all looking to bareback these chicas, because AFAIK BBBJ is quite low risk for transmission of this virus, and with condoms you should be fine for the other activities. I think many here do BBBJ and I am not aware of anyone that has had issues with it. Just curious why the interest in this pill.

The Tall Man.I have a friend on it. He pays about 1 million pesos a month for his supply. It's a grey market thing here and not generally available at your local pharmacy.

I personally think it's too expensive and the side effects (sometimes severe digestive problems) to be way too severe for it to be worth it.

These, days you're better off treating HIV than you are dealing with the severe IBS etc. That can come from taking this stuff.

The Tall Man.Any drug a doctor highly recommends I try to avoid. They're recommending the drug because it is necessary to treat your condition, or.

Go spend some time hanging out at your doctor's office. Eventually you'll see the other reason why certain drugs get highly recommended.

It's been several years. My doctor at the time was a rather notorious player. Dated a lot of his patients, including an ex GF of mine. While I was waiting for my appointment a super hot woman, carrying a briefcase walked in. She was wearing business attire, but the way she wore it made it look like high dollar slutwear; slitted skirt, tight blouse and heels just a bit too high for the office.

She walked up to the counter and was obviously well known. Before the receptionist could do more than greet her another girl walked in, just as beautiful, dressed in the same style, with a briefcase. The receptionist knew her too and the girls knew each other. They were both ushered back to an exam room to wait for the doctor.

My appointment didn't start until almost an hour late and no other patients were called until the 2 girls came out. I won't try to guess what transpired, but I did find out they were both pharmaceutical reps. They get paid a lot of money to convince doctors that certain drugs should be prescribed whenever possible. I'm pretty sure, after 30 minutes with them, that doctor would have prescribed rat poison if they suggested it.

At least 10% of patients experience 1 or more of the side effects: vomiting, diarrhea, headache, blood in urine and my favorite, changes in the size, shape and location of fat deposits on your body. All to prevent contracting HIV from risky behavior. Sounds like you're not going to be feeling good enough to engage in any risky behavior.

"You need to hold real still while I'm hitting your backdoor bareback. Otherwise you'll knock over my puke bucket."

In the states it's definitely a different game altogether but I have managed to bang one chick so far off of it and the only thing I have done for her is buy her cheap dinners and take her to the movies one night. I look for the younger less experienced girls that don't know the game. The ones that have been around for a while will milk you for everything. Anyway I found many girls in Colombia that are straight up con artists. But you have to be smart about it all and not let yourself get played. One clear red flag is when they ask for money before meeting. I met this one bad ass chick on there who said she was flying up here to visit. The day before she asked for a few dollars so she could do her hair and nails for me. She even sent me a picture of the so called plane ticket I asked her if that shit really worked on people?? She got super rude and insulted by it all. I have a list of about 10 girls that I plan to visit while down there in 4 weeks. If they are willing to counterfeit a drug like this, then who knows what else may also be counterfeited.

It seems to be mainly recommended for gay men, drug-injectors, and prostitutes. Even if it is not recommended for mongers, we should probably be suggesting it to the chicas who ever do condomless anal.

The price seems to vary widely across the world, am not sure whether chicas would be allowed to order it from India.

Never mind the fees, just on a "exchange rate" comparison? The rates vary from office to office. If you're bringing dollars to exchange, it's best to shop around.

Typically, the best exchange rate is through the ATM. However, the fees charged by the ATM owner and by your bank can change that. Many banks charge a foreign currency fee, along with a fee for using an out of network ATM.

I did a search of "money exchange in Medellin" and looked at all the places which have a website. The rates go from 3140 to 3190. Only Money Max and Unicambios have 3190.

When I am in Medellin, I always use ATM's. The rate is very close to the xe.com rate of one or two days prior.

There were no 'conversion fees' meaning that you put your Visa / Mastercard in the ATM. As I do, I take out 2,700,000 divided by 900,000 and then look at your bank's website to see what you were debited. This morning I received 3277.13 pesos per dollar. Now if you are a genius and use a casa de cambio to exchange dollars for pesos my question is when you go there do you wear a dunce cap or do you just look dumb without the hat.

Most banks in the US charge an out-of-network ATM fee and a foreign transaction fee. Unless someone uses a bank that does not charge those fees, he must consider those fees when calculating the exchange rate. One of the posters here stated his bank fees are "brutal". It is possible that he could get a better rate from a cambio than the real rate from an ATM.

I have no idea what this statement means "As I do, I take out 2,700,000 divided by 900,000 and then look at your bank's website to see what you were debited". Why are you dividing by 900,000? The result is 3, but I don't understand how that relates to the exchange rate.

BTW, thanks for the information about finding the Colpatria/Scotia ATM's.

BTW, thanks for the information about finding the Colpatria/Scotia ATM's.According to him, those particular ATMs allow 900 k max withdrawal per transaction, 2. 7 million daily limit. So he made 3 withdrawals of 900 k.

You're dead on with the rest. There are 4 basic fees with any foreign ATM transaction.

1. The ATM owner's fee for using their ATM. I think the highest I've seen is 15 k in Colombia. Your bank may reimburse this fee.

2. The exchange rate used for the transaction. This varies somewhat. The rate you receive is typically slightly less than the current rate.

3. Your bank's out of network ATM fee. Your bank may not charge this fee, or it may charge 4%. Your bank may have an agreement with the foreign bank to eliminate the fee. So, for example, you might get the fee at a Servibanco, but not get the fee at Colpatria-Scotia.

4. Your bank's foreign exchange fee. Once again, it may be zero, or 3%.

If you're using a credit card instead of a debit card there may be a cash advance fee.

#1 depends on the ATM you use. #2 may depend on either bank. #3 depends on your bank, but also may depend on the ATM owner. #4 depends on your bank.

If 10 different people, using cards from 10 different banks use the same ATM, they will likely end up with several different exchange rates. Just because 1 person is charged no fees doesn't guarantee everyone else will have the same experience. All banks are not equal.

This is an easy guide on how to get started using Facebook to find girls in Medellin. Notice: This only works in Medellin. No other city in Colombia has an active Facebook scene for working girls.

1. Start a new Facebook page. There is a way to set up your regular Facebook page and use it for this, but there are risks involved.

2. Use your Facebook page. Search out bars, restaurants and hotels in Medellin that have Facebook pages. Follow a few. Post a picture or two. Facebook is trying to weed out obvious bots and troll pages. If you behave like a bot and try to add 300 friends in 30 minutes, you'll be shutdown.

3. Add friends slowly. At first, I'd limit it to 5 a day. Add other content to your page, a picture, a music video a poem.

4. Have patience. Some girls won't respond to your friend request for weeks or months. Don't bother with messages until they respond. After they respond, don't bother initiating contact until a few weeks before your trip.

5. Examine each new friend you add. Can you see the friend list? If so, look for other girls, look for gringos. Their friend lists are a great source of other girls. Look at the photos. Find a sexy pic with lots of likes. If you can't see the friend list, this is a way to see their friends.

6. Continue to add girls regularly. Continue to add content.

7. When you are a few weeks out from your visit start sending messages. If girls message you first respond to them. Keep it simple. You're setting up a dinner reservation, not trying to teach the chef how to cook.

8. Once you arrive, post a check in at the airport. Start tagging yourself in Medellin.

That's all there is to it. All that remains is to find a starting point. Search Facebook for "Happy Ending Medellin. " It's an account that was originally a massage parlor. They have over 1,000 followers including lots of chicas, and the friend list is visible. Between the girls and the gringos you should be able to find at least 200 chicas.

Words and phrases to watch for:

Quiero verte. I want to see you.

Quiero conocerte. I want to meet or know you.

Una cita. An appointment or date. Usually not a traditional date.

Sin. Without, Con. With, Condon, preservativo. Condom.

If a girl starts talking dollars, get her to pesos. If she wants to deal in dollars, she's going to cheat you.

If a girl puts out a time limit, correct her. Tell her your dates usually last longer than an hour. Most Facebook girls are happy to stay for 2 hours or more, if you can keep them entertained.

Prices are usually 150-200 k. At 150 k most will want another 20 k for taxi. At 200 k most won't require more for taxi. Many will throw out a higher number. I always respond with "Siempre pago ciento cincuenta mil why mas taxi. " I always pay 150 k and more for taxi. Some will go as low as 100 k.

Between Messenger, WhatsApp and Google translate you should have no problems.

I have a maiden journey scheduled for Columbia, if for whatever reason its not to my liking, I always like to be prepared like a Boy Scout and have plan be lined up.

So if I need to take a side trip to salvage my trip where should I fly, Brazil? If yes, SP or RDJ? Panama?

Many thanks.

Somebody please say Buenos Aires? LOL.

They are all good places, except be. A.

Their last president killed most of the action.

But it is a beautiful city to visit.

Panama in my opinion is too expensive and small.

4. Have patience. Some girls won't respond to your friend request for weeks or months. Don't bother with messages until they respond. After they respond, don't bother initiating contact until a few weeks before your trip..This is all fantastic advice. I take a different approach. 3 weeks before heading to Medellin, I scroll through some facebook chicas I know and check out their friends lists, and I look at the lists of some of the men they are friends with. If you don't know any chicas yet, read through the forum--there have been enough names put out here to get anybody started. There is also 'Medellin Rich' and scrolling through his friends list. Then, if I see a girl I want, I send a standard message--more or less the same to everyone-just copied and pasted.

'Hello,! I am coming back to Medellin again. I am in Medellin every few months. Looking through some friends profiles and looking at their friends, I saw your picture and had to message you. You are beautiful. I am always looking for new friends to spend time with in Medellin and now, I hope you and I can meet. What do you think?. I'll be as nice to you as you are to me jajajaj'. Some respond. Most don't. But enough do.

I don't 'friend' them, and after we go back and forth on messenger a couple of times with the small talk, I offer my Whatsapp and switch the chat to there. Also, once initial dialogue is established, I message them that we can message again later, when I am almost there or when I am there to work outt the details--that way they know I am not trying to stalk them or waste energy on non-stop messages. I have had a few girls over the years tell me they can't stand when us gringos message them a bunch with small talk and nonsense. They don't care about us or want to 'get to know us' . They want the contact info, a response, and hopefully a business transaction when the time comes-not your whole life story. Anyway, No need to 'friend' them, no need for another profile--nobody else will see the messages & I don't care if they see my name--that's not going to help them or hurt me. There have been a few with great service that after we have partied a couple of times I have added as a 'friend'but I don't live in the US and about 1/2 of my friends are not from the US, so that doesn't really matter to me-and there aren't many girls from MDE that I have added.

Bottom line: keep it simple. Find a girl, mine her friends list for more girls-when you see old white guys on her friends list, and she is a 25 year old hooker-then look at his other friends-its easy to tell when they are fake men profiles--and those always have lots of chica friends to mine through. And remember--if you are there a week, you only need 2 or 3 facebook girls in the queue ahead of time. Most of us are going to try a casa or 2, tinder, massage spots like OM Spa for Men and strip clubs where we can meet other girls. Also, if you have a girl at your place and things are cool, ask her about her friends. Tell her if you meet any of her friends you will give that friend an extra 20 k for the girl you are with just for introducing you to her. Heck, just yesterday, I was looking through the friends list of a mansion chick I banged a couple of years ago (lets call her Chica A) who recently messaged me to see when I was coming back--we had a great all nighter last year--really fun. Anyway, I saw another girl in her friends list, so I messaged my girl (chica A) about her friend (chica B) --and told her I would give the CHICA be 20 k for Chica A if we meet--just for the introduction and the good recommendation. Maybe 30 k if we really hit it off. 30 minutes later, I get about 35 whatsapp messengers--pictures of 10-12 different girls for me to choose from that Chica A sent me. I liked 2 of the girls. Chica A said she would put the good word in for me and message them. 1 of the girls sent me a whatsapp message with a really sexy photo this morning. If she is as hot as the photos look and as cool as I want in the sheets, then she gets paid, I get laid, and Chica A makes 20 or 30 kcop just for sending a whatsapp message or calling her friend. Everybody wins! Several of my best experiences have come from meeting girls through girls I am with.

I met a chick at the Mansion about 5 or 6 years ago. Really pretty, and we had a great session together. The next year, I am back in MDE so I message her. We meet at my hotel. In between rounds, I pull up her facebook and ask about a friend of hers. She messages the friend, who messages me pretty quickly. The next day, that girl, the new one, gave me the single best BBBJ I have ever had. Amazing. Sucked me dry and get me in her mouth-swallowing every drop--and then kept going for what felt like forever--until I came again- dos leches without every leaving her mouth-my dreams coming true--and this girl was gorgeous. Not bad for 150 k plus 20 k for taxi--and we shared some weed, wine and food in the room. I ended up seeing the new friend 3 more times in the next year and a half, and only saw the original mansion chick once again-but when I did, I gave her a bottle of wine as a thank you for the introduction--then lied about seeing her friend more than her--which she called me out on --because these girls all talk to each other and share good and bad stories about mongers. Be nice, if you earn a bad reputation with the facebook chica network, more of them than you realize will be warned about you and it will be difficult. If you re too much of a push over and pay too much--that word will get out also among the facebook working girl network in MDE.

Something along those lines, always in Spanish (glad I took 5 years in school, have travelled a lot, and can speak almost Spanish fluently!

So if I need to take a side trip to salvage my trip where should I fly, Brazil? If yes, SP or RDJ? Panama?.Somebody please say Buenos Aires? LOL.Colombia is the best country I have been to by far with SA. I would be more likely to go for a different city in Colombia over another country, and I doubt you will have time. I would start in Bogota then do Medellin than do Cartagena as Plan B and C.

You will need a visa to go to Brazil. If you can get one, and it is doable but a pain and not always cheap, then your backup would be Sao Paulo. The women in SP are better in every way IMO than the women in Rio but Rio is a great city with a lot to do and SP is kind of a dump.

The top women in Brazil are better looking and better performers than the women in Colombia IMO, but there is a sweetness and intelligence to the best Colombian woman that the best Brazilian women IMO cannot meet. And the women in both countries put the women in the USA Sex gulag to shame.

The best women in Panama are the same types in Colombia, Vennies and Colombians, and they want much more $$$ so there is no reason to go there.

You do not need a visa for Argentina, and BA would be a good backup if you have no Brazilian visa. You will have far more to choose from in BA but if time were not an issue, I would consider looking at the college town of Cordoba and Mendoza ahead of BA. Argentine women are smart and beautiful but they have a deserved reputation for being distant. As a friend said of BA, "Anywhere you look around, you can find an Argentina woman who rates as an 8, but there are very few 10's. The 10's were in Colombia and Brazil. " It is just so far to get to BA. A nonstop to Bogota is relatively easy. A trip to Southern Brazil or Argentina is a serious pain.

I would put Peru as #4. You will find a lot of women on SA in Lima. Peruvians tend to be sweet, caring, and skilled in the sack, but they are often not as attractive as you will find in other parts of Latin America. Peru though is second only to Colombia with regards to Venezuelan refugees and you can find attractive, intelligent, and skilled Vennie women in Peru. They will be a bit more expensive in Lima as Lima is more expensive than Colombia but nowhere near what you would pay in Panama.

I will visit Mde Bogota and CTG maybe Cali? Maybe Barranquilla? Santa M? Bucaramanga? The coffee triangle?(anyone want to go to Isla Margarita with me LOL?

Yes I was referring to Sudamerica sorry for any confusion caused on my part, and yes I heard he has wiped out all the casas in BA (at least most of them).

I did not know I need a visa for SP or RDJ, how fast can they process? Can I do it in person at the consulate in CTG?

As far as flights I found a non stop to Rio approx 6 hrs, or a non stop to BA approx 6 hrs from Bogota about the same price.

These are (back up plans of last resort) in the event I don't like what's on offer in Columbia.

I love the chicas in Tijuana, so if I can find the same types I'll be OK.

Somebody please say Buenos Aires? LOL.In all likelihood, you'll enjoy Colombia. Brasil is fantastic as well, but Rio and Sao Paulo are a long ass trip from Colombia. If you're in Colombia for a month, I could see a "side trip" to Brasil, but otherwise, save it for another trip.

Buenos Aires hasn't been good for well over a decade.

Also, I think Brasil no longer requires a visa for US citizens.

Also, I think Brasil no longer requires a visa for US citizens. You are right. That is great news, Combo!

Marquais, seeing as how you meant South America not seeking arrangement, and there is no visa requirement for Brazil, then Sao Paulo is the place to be. There were more 10's there than in any other city in South America I visited, and every woman I was with was amazing behind closed doors.

Thing is if you are looking for quantity of sex, Bogota is the place to be because it is so damned cheap. If you are looking for tip top quality, then you have to go with SP.

With BA, the government has cracked down on the strip clubs / brothels, and it is way down from where it was. I wouldn't even bother with a trip if your primary focus is women. SP and Rio have always been better than BA was at its best.

The Argentine vets would tell you the best performing women in BA were from Paraguay. Before the Venezuelan invasion of Colombians, Paraguay had the distinction of being the cheapest place in South America. I was with many fine women there, and most I paid was $20. But there is no reason to go as Paraguay is hard to get to, they have an easy to obtain visa but it is $160, and Asuncion is crazy boring.

For strict P4 P and short term encounters, I wouldn't even bother with anywhere else in South America outside of Colombia and Brazil. Anywhere else is a waste of time.

The rates vary from office to office. If you're bringing dollars to exchange, it's best to shop around.

Typically, the best exchange rate is through the ATM. However, the fees charged by the ATM owner and by your bank can change that. Many banks charge a foreign currency fee, along with a fee for using an out of network ATM.To avoid ATM Fees and Foreign Currency fee get a Charles Schwab Visa or Fidelity Visa debit card. They reimburse ATM Fees. I have Charles Schwab Visa Debit Card and all fees incurred are reimbursed. Also the Charles Schwab allows up to $1000 USD daily withdrawal limit (the ATM you use may have a lower limit). Compare and see what is best for your ATM withdrawal needs.

Charles Schwab even reimburses the ridiculous ATM fees in Argentina. And the daily withdrawal limit can be changed *live over the phone with them* to pretty much anything you want. Once I needed some cash so I increased the limit with them to something like $3 k, took the money out, and brought the limit back down.

From reading the Bogota forum, seems to me the prices are comparable to the SP's clinicas? $50-60 for short time?

With BA, there's a good selection available on bairesgirls.net - though of course nowhere near SP's selection. It's an interesting city to visit and see too. But as a side trip, not primary destination.

What's your opinion? For a straight up escort to come to my room? For a 20-25 y / o to show me around, have dinner, then bang the shit out of?My opinion is, it doesn't matter. The chance of you ever visiting Colombia is about the same as the chance of me giving birth to a blonde Chinese baby. Sorry. Just see one of these silly posts about every 6 months, and I never see any follow up.

The best city for an escort to come to your room? Bogota. They have more escort services than any other city. I'm not sure why anyone's first choice would be to use an escort service.

The best city to have a 20-25 year old to show you around? Medellin. There are several girls on Facebook who are into giving tours. Some have their own car, although most of them are older than 25.

The best city to have dinner? Probably Cartagena. I hear there are some excellent restaurants.

The best city to "bang the shit" out of someone? Maybe Cucuta. First drink the tap water. Then go looking for a girl with dysentery. Alternatively, mix up a heavy dose of Miralax and Gatorade and get her to drink it. Within a few hours, you both should be shitting about every 30 minutes.

So, fly to Bogota, get an overpriced escort. Hop on a plane to Medellin, find someone to give you a tour. Catch a flight to Cartagena, with your Bogota escort, for dinner and then take another plane to Cucuta and enjoy your coprophilia.

Please listen to this piece of advice. I was in Lima a few days ago, and I'm now in MDE. My Capital One card worked fine in Lima. In MDE it is not working. I have called them twice, and they say there has been no failed attempts. They tell me to clean the card which I did but it did not help. So I also have cash and 3 other debit cards with me so I am ok money wise here.

So my advice is to not depend on just carrying one debit card. I'm not happy as the Cap One card has no fees while the other cards I'm no using do.

One question which comes up often: "Is this a good time to visit?" There is no bad time to visit, it may not be the best time for your desired activities. It's like going to the beach when it's raining. Maybe you can't work on your tan, but it still beats sitting in the office.

If you follow many girls on Facebook, you have an easy way to see how needy the women are, during any time of the year. Simply look at their posts. Early December, panties, bras, tits and asses everywhere. Late December, family pics, Christmas decorations, food. Early January titties everywhere you look. End of January pets and work photos.

Early December everyone is scrambling to afford presents for the kids and to buy el estren (Colombian custom is new clothes for Christmas. The color of the clothes is related to your wishes for the new year. This outfit is referred to as el estren. The inauguration, the first time). So they're advertising heavily.

As Christmas approaches, most have made their money and are focusing on the holidays and family. After New Year's, it's back to desperation mode to cover January's expenses. By the end of the month, most have succeeded.

It doesn't mean you're ever out of luck. It's just easier to find girls and you'll have more options if you anticipate the trend.

My question after Rome2Rio crunching: would you rather take a 14 hour bus from Quito to Cali and fly to BOG or take 6 hour bus from Quito to Pasto and fly?

Survival chances of foreigners that stand out?

2. A 14 hour bus ride sounds like a miserable experience, especially in Colombia. And I'm doubtful you would even be able to find a direct route (think transfers and delays in every major city). Obviously you have to work within a budget but the Pasto flight is the better option IF you're on a timeline. Several years ago I travelled by bus from BOG to Banos but had several days to do so; that's the only way I would advise the bus. If that's an option, Otavalo has a market that is worth checking out and Popayan is a beautiful city as well. As for security, I have always felt safe and have never had any issues; just keep your bag off of the floor and within eyesight.

It's about $80 a month. Lots of fake profiles and scammers. Before getting to Medellin I had many asking for money so that they can do their nails and hair up so that they could look nice when I arrived. I am assuming this works on a lot of people and that's why they asked. This site is very time consuming. I met many non pros on here but I did not have time to do what they wanted. To They want to go out and have a good time. They want you to take them for breakfast, lunch and spend the whole day with them and then fuck. Not everyone is into this kind of thing but I did partake one day I was there. The girl took me around a few different sites and she spoke good English. I had lots of fun with her but at the end of the night she was not dropping her panties. Did not even want to go up to the apartment. I did not care because I had a list of Facebook and Tinder girls on the backburner that were hungry for cash. A side note: I wrote about 20 different girls on Mileroticos and requested face pictures. None wanted to send them so I did not partake. For me face is almost as important as the body. I could simply never see a chick without knowing what her face looks like. Anyway the chick wanted to hang the next day but I really wasn't in the mood for hanging with the same girl all day so I just ignored her. The best technique is to copy and paste a prewritten message to all the girls you find attractive. I tried this and wrote something like this "Estoy buscando intimidad sexual a cambio de dinero. Pago 200 mil. Estas bien con eso?" I tried 150 mil but found it to be low for the site with not many takers. This site is like club Gustos but on the internet. Over priced but the difference is these girls aren't on the streets working every night. At least not that I know of. The pic of the girl I posted for example. She got off school at 1 PM. She showed up with a backpack and books. She took the Metro to Poblado and then walked to the house and was sweaty. She had no cash for a cab. After she got out of the shower I knew I had hit a gold mine. She wanted to hang all day afterwards. Most of the girls I met on there wanted to hang for a while but I was not in the mood for other reasons. One girl I met claimed to be a virgin selling herself for a laptop and cash. Now if anyone else on here is on SA then you know who I am talking about. I got rid of the account so I cannot post up her info. And even if I could, unless you have a profile you wouldn't be able to see her pictures. But this virgin girl seemed legit. She also seemed super young. I definitely did not have that kind of time to invest. Anyway these are the types of chicks that I encountered while on the site in Medellin:

1) Non pros that were appalled that I offered them cash for sex.

2) Semi Pros that were appalled that I only offered them 200 mil for sex. The most one girl asked for was 300 US dollars for 2 hours.

3) Semi Pros that were OK with 150 to 200 mil.

4) Semi Pros that only worked for 300 mil minimum.

5) Flakes. These girls seemed interested and then disappeared the last minute. My feelings are that they were non pros not ready to pull the trigger. Otherwise they would have contacted me again or asked for more cash.

6) Pros. I knew they were pros because they advertised it on their profile bio.

Overall I would not recommend the site because IMO it's too pricey. These girls know how much cash you have because you have to put it in your profile. And the minimum you can put in there is 100 k yearly. So they figure this guy has cash and charge more. But like I said you can find the 150 to 200 mil girls on there but it just takes time. Oh yeah in the states this shit is ridiculous. You have girls wanting 200 dollars so that you can take them to dinner HAHAHA.

My question after Rome2Rio crunching: would you rather take a 14 hour bus from Quito to Cali and fly to BOG or take 6 hour bus from Quito to Pasto and fly?

Survival chances of foreigners that stand out?
Edit: want to hot Cartegena but nothing direct all flights require change in BOGI went from Bogota to Quito by bus in December. First leg was Bogota to Ipailes (stayed in Ipiales 2 days). That bus was alright as it wasn't overcrowded and had a personal TV / video which you could select movies or shows. Crossed the bridge by foot to Tulcan and took another bus Quito.

You shouldn't have any problems as a foreigner. You'll notice a lot of Venezuelans on the bus traveling one direction or another, some girls go to Ecuador to work when they get tired of the Bogota scene. Funny thing is that you can cross the border by car, taxi, bus, motorcycle without showing your passport. Sometimes there is a Immigration officer on the foot bridge requesting to see your passport. That's how some Venezuelans bypass the immigration check point.

If you decide to go by bus, I'd advise buying 2 seats so you can sit alone in peace. Another option is higher end buses that are slightly more but well worth it. Especially in Peru, couldn't recommend ExcluCiva enough. Personal TV, Meal, full reclining seat with curtains, attendant could be buzzed to buy beverages or snacks. Another note, almost all the buses are pee only, no poo.

You tried to do it backwards. You are supposed to have them come over and fuck, then you go out for the good time. Then you can go back and fuck again. After they have had their good time on your dime you are left at the mercy of all their emergencies, and needing to sleep for work tomorrow, and get the kid from the sitter, etc.

Even when the nonpro chick came to my buddy's the other day, we fucked then she went home. Then she came back later to watch the game with me. But after the game she had to hurry home to sleep because she wakes up at 4 am for work. So I was lucky I got it in when she first showed up. No money. She even paid her own taxi there and back 2 times.

About a year ago I started a profile on SA to see what the big deal was, but when I went a while without paying that $80 they eventually deleted my profile.

My opinion is, it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the information. I have 3 countries on my itinerary that I'm visiting in a few months and was trying to save some time. (One city in Columbia, Cuenca, Ecuador, and Cuzco, Peru.) I don't mind doing my homework. I can RTFF. But there is a huge volume of information here. Just trying to eliminate the some of it that does not apply. Don't want to have to read about every city in Columbia in order to decide which one to go to.

Not trying to start a flame war here, especially with long term contributors. If I asked a stupid question or poorly phrased it, well who hasn't?

Here in Q (Barranquilla) tonight watching Caracol after banging the phuck out of a 20 y/o hottie Venie from Zero Estres and seeing where CO Govt. banned Uber. Is this effective now?

I used Uber pretty regularly the end of last Nov. in MDE and tried to reset here but they asking my last two trips and to where? In USA Or CO? Too complicated for vacation so just been taxiing it mostly but 1st night here in Q they not running their meters (I was too tired to catch it) and like triple what costs in BOG to go a certain distance. Uber being banned compounded with zero car day on Thurs. in BOG (all across the country? Wondering if the taxi 'cartel' now naming their prices.

Just commenting.

Any additional intel / field experience would be appreciated.

I am going to download some of the local transport apps. for tomorrow and/or figure out the local bus route for a basically straight line run 4 blocks from my hotel to Zero Estres!

I see some foreigners using Beat because it looks just like Uber. I have been checking the price on Easy Taxi then going over to InDriver and bidding a couple thousand under that.

This site is very time consuming. I met many non pros on here but I did not have time to do what they wanted. To They want to go out and have a good time. I thought nowhere could top Bogota with SA but MDE has done so. First night here, I have had three dates, the most I have ever had at one time. Tomorrow, I am up to 4, and my inbox is flooded.

I don't get the hanging out all day. I tell them that I will meet them food or drink at my hotel and tell them to come upstairs. I was 3 for 3 on that tonight and in BAQ. I don't do all that shopping shit with any SA girl unless they are SB or GF material.

If you just want to fuck, go see the hookers. The best part of SA is for the college girl or professional with some money problems who is dipping her toe into the hooker pool but does not want to go all the way in. Sure, some will go all the way, but it is the place to go if you want to find the highest quality woman who provides.

In BAQ, it was sweet as could be with a 22 year old who wouldn't get with me the first night. She was stunning, long legs, thin waist, but didn't really show all that she had. But we repeated another night, and she said "Look, it has been eight months since I have had sex", as she s. L. o. W. l. Why put me inside of her. She was tight as hell, and the pussy was Clorox clean. I can't tell you what it feels like to have some 22 year old knockout coed who hasn't had it in months rocking on top of your dick, screaming with her many orgasms, and when she is done and I am done, puts her head in your arms like a long lost lover. She has already texted me multiple times saying that she misses me.

After that first night, she sent me a text saying, "I am so wet. I can't wait for you to fuck me tomorrow. ".

The other new BAQ chick I had was completely compliant. Five times, I said "Hey, I want you to suck my dick" and she did it. No question. Back massage. Anal. Bareback. She did it all. Her pussy was as clean as could be too, and she worked out five times per week. She even spent the night. All told I paid her 700 k for two full nights. Amazing.

Here in MDE, the response is so overwhelming I am not sure if I am going to see everyone I want to. I went for one girl who had been on the site for six days, and I was her first date. She was tall, thin, loose fitting dress, and I could not tell what her body was like. The clothes came off and shit, was it hot! Nice boobs. Tight body. Long legs. She just didn't know how to show it off. Again, she hadn't had sex for months, was an engineering student, and was totally compliant. BBBJ. Bareback. Pussy that smelled as clean as the wind. OMG, what a fuck! I gave her 200 k. Again, I gave her what I wanted to give her, not the other way around. I did two rounds with her and held off on shooting my load the second time because of what was to come.

The next one was another engineering student. Again, I am the first guy she has met on SA. About halfway through our drink, I am like, "You are smart as shit aren't you? You were top of your class in Bucaramanga (where she is from)", and she is "like Yeah, I was #1 in this school and this one. ". I got her upstairs and propositioned her. I told her I would pay her 50 k for the meet and her cab ride, but she was a no go on the sex the first night, but I was like, "Okay, we are doing it tomorrow". We are hanging out at the pool and this hot, super smart, engineering student who works three jobs will be riding me tomorrow. Yee HAA!! Again, I will set the price because none was mentioned.

Between BAQ and the first MDE girl, I was wore out and saw a third one. She was really cute in the face but had a belly. We had agreed on 50 k for the visit and 300 k if we did the deed, but between the BAQ women and my first SA girl, I wasn't paying 300 k for a girl who wasn't that hot and was hooker lite so I passed.

The first one starts at Oveido mall tomorrow at 10 AM and I will be seeing four more tomorrow. I hope that I can see them all.

Yes, SA is not cheap, but for me, it is the way to get the best pussy from the best women. If you just want to fuck, there is cheaper and easier out there for sure. You will send out at least 10 messages for every one you get back even in Colombia but when you get a keeper that is what makes it worth it.

I think the expense is more time than money, but I want to fuck someone who doesn't run for the door when we are done, who I like as a person, who I enjoy spending time with, and it is more than just about sex. Even the third date tonight, the hooker chick, was fun to talk to.

I am trying to set up a great fuck rotation of the highest quality in Colombia and so far I have one GF type in Bogota and one smoking hot fuck there, two in BAQ, and probably two in MDE in the first day!! Life is good.

Looking through the prepago websites it is hard to tell which escorts offer bareback sex. Presumably it is not something they put on their profile as it will draw criticism from others. Do any of the Spanish speaking board members know if there is a word or phrase which gives it away. I kind of thought 'complaciente' might mean they were willing to do BBFS or those that say contact for more services.

Can you guys post some links to these websites where your are contacting the chicas? Most of the Colombia forums discussion is around the club scene and I am not the partying type or interested in that kinda game.

Google just gives me links to all inclusive sex resorts with different packages, LOL. I am planning to travel for a week next month and the idea is to meet 2 chicas a day for couple of hours.

I am looking for some reliable agencies who offer GFE and low profile sites where college girls work UTR. I highly appreciate your help with recommendations, links and suggestions.

I have been to couple of different countries and discussions on this site helped me immensely to find UTR sites and top notch agencies. For the life of me I am unable to find anything in the Colombia forums going back 50 pages on each thread.

I've contacted several prepagos and many tell me they offer BBFS and it depends on the hygiene of the male. I understand that could be a ploy to draw us in for them to turn us down but it is what it is.

Please let me know if this is not the right place to post this. The section is "Add Report", but this is not a trip report.

I've got about 20 FB contacts now, and was wondering if you have criteria upon which you decide which ones to start talking to, a couple of weeks out from your MDE trip.

There are certain women that have Bar Poas as a FB friend, or one such as: Medellin Rob or something, forgot.

And there are certain of them, that just outright has some rated are pics, like in a g-string.

Can you pretty much assume, they'd be down for meeting you, in the above categories?

I also have some that have pics of kids and don't see a daddy, so part of you thinks: "hmm, she probably needs some financial help with that."

Thanks. I was in my head too much trying to figure out what their response is when a fortyish-looking guy on FB is contacting their 21-year old self, saying, Let's meet, I want to see you.

Don't want them thinking that I'm trying to go at it at the pure civilian level, and then ignore me, like "what the hell, you're too old to date".

But then I realize, most of them have been probably having P4P relp's for a while, so they know my intent when they see my profile and message.

I'll just be straightforward, but ease into it of course.

Four times since I have been in Colombia (I thought it was 3 but I remember another time), there have been women who didn't want a gift when I was done with them. Looking back on it, three out of the four times the women have done so, they were from smaller cities, Villavencio, Porto Colombia, and Necoclia. The weird part is that after being with two of them one time, they were ready to declare me their life long love.

I am not sure how to divide Colombians. The Colombians themselves do it with Rolos, Paisas, and Costenos. I have to say that I haven't noticed it as much being to three of the big four cities in Colombia: Barranquilla, Medellin, and Bogota. For all the Colombian stereotypes, all places had beautiful women, and I didn't notice that much of a difference in the attitudes of people culturally among those three groups, but I did with the big city versus small town girl.

I guess people I could RTFF and see what people say about small town or maybe smaller town women. Unlike the big city women who seem to be telling you what you want to hear and give you the illusion of passion, with the small town girls, it seems more real. I was curious if others have noticed the difference between big city and small town girls, and if anyone who has traveled to Colombia, has visited a few of the towns where there is abundance of the gold that is the small town girl.

It just came to me. FB lets you exclude your friends that you don't want to see your post. It would be a lot of work, but I could hide the post from all of my regular family / friends / high school alumni, etc. , in that "post privacy" widget-ami-jig.

This is a great idea. I was originally going to say, before this Eureka moment during this post I'm typing out, that my regular fb friends would think it's weird that I'm posting my trips to MDE, and it's awkward if noone replies or likes the post. But if I made the post only visible to mde chicas, that's a lot better.

Which one is your preferred one to use in Colombia or are they all pretty much the same?Uber just came back 4 days ago. They decided they no longer will be paying for people's fines or tow fees any more while waiting to come to an agreement to legalize the service, but otherwise it's the same.

Beat is, I think, an Argentinian app, very similar to Uber. You have to tip in cash, and you can't program in multiple destinations (you can do almost the same thing by changing the destination along the way and it repeatedly re-calculates the fare), but otherwise it's the same. I couldn't get my US card to work with it so had to set up a Colombian card. ALL rideshare apps in Colombia allow you to pay the driver cash BTW. Beat is 20% or so cheaper than Uber.

Picap gives you the option of a car or a motorcycle to pick you up, which is useful for cutting through Bogota's insane traffic. If you choose the car option, prices are in line with Beat. The motorbike option is about 20% cheaper than that. I had the same card issues with Picap as with Beat.

Cabify and Easy Taxi are both apps that will send you a yellow taxi. I avoid those for that reason. They are also more expensive than Uber.

DiDi is Chinese, drivers don't like it so a lot of them don't drive it. I also wouldn't give a penny to the Chinese government so I've never used it.

There's also InDriver, where you offer a certain price to go to a certain destination. I've never used it personally.

And finally there's a new app called Treas that someone handed me a pamphlet for a couple weeks ago, but I have no further info on it.

For those here, that mostly stay at El Poblado or Parque Lleras, do you ever message your FB chicas who live in Bello, Antioquioa?

It's kind of a hike, like at least 30 min or so. If you do, do they usually go along with it and drive to your apt / hotel, etc?First, you're unlikely to find a girl in Bello who has a car. A few will have a scooter, but almost all will take a taxi.

Second, they know where the gringos like to stay. They are more than happy to take the trip in order to get paid. Most will expect you to pay for the taxi.

There's always the metro plus taxi option. It's much faster, especially during peak traffic, and cheaper.

They will go to where you are using taxis, Uber or similar, or their boyfriend. Just agree to pay a taxi fare, and they will be wherever you want them.

I used DiDi for travel around Medellin after Uber shut down without any problem until yesterday. I requested a car to go from Laureles to the airport bus stop near San Diego mall. I exited the apartment with my carry on bag, sat it down, and went back to get my other bag, which was just inside the door. As I came out, the driver was driving away. He had just arrived as I brought out my first bag, so it wasn't a waiting time issue. The app showed free cancellation of the request. I then requested another DiDi car. A driver accepted, but after waiting about five minutes, the app showed he had not moved. I cancelled and requested a Cabify taxi.

I recall someone else posted about problems getting DiDi to go to the airport. Seems they don't like taking luggage. I didn't know DiDi was a Chinese company. Because of that, I will not use them when I return to Medellin. I will use Uber or Beat.

There are certain women that have Bar Poas as a FB friend, or one such as: Medellin Rob or something, forgot.

And there are certain of them, that just outright has some rated are pics, like in a g-string.

Can you pretty much assume, they'd be down for meeting you, in the above categories?

I also have some that have pics of kids and don't see a daddy, so part of you thinks: "hmm, she probably needs some financial help with that."If a chica has even one obvious old man gringo friend, 90% chance she is a prepago if she has 2 then its 110% , if she has a photo of her in panties, 100% chance she is a prepago, another tell sign is if she has photos of her in horns or some horns superimposed on her head in a photo, if she has a silhouette of something with horns or the devil emoji with horns. I am 80% sure that these are prepagos. I have found plenty of chicas that have none of the above that are chicas but most of the chicas I have found that have this on their profile are prepago. Get a Forum membership and I can help you more through private messages.

Thanks. I was in my head too much trying to figure out what their response is when a fortyish-looking guy on FB is contacting their 21-year old self, saying, Let's meet, I want to see you.

But then I realize, most of them have been probably having P4P relp's for a while, so they know my intent when they see my profile and message.

I'll just be straightforward, but ease into it of course.Flirt with them right off the bat, do not be shy, I have guys messaging me telling me that they do not get responses when they message chicas and when I ask them what they are saying its usually some dry business approach, these are chicas and while we always want to keep in our minds that they are about our money (cause they are) we can still help them maintain the illusion that we are romantic, as they do every time they call us "amor" or "cielo"(which by the way is how you know for sure she is prepago when she addresses you with a term of endearment). You can do this but keep in mind that some might immediately try to take advantage of you. I handle that by being just as full of shit as they are. If they say "Amor I need some money because i am about to lose my apartment" I can either go to settings and block her "ignore her messages" or if she is super hot and I want to leave the door open to fuck her later, I can say some BS right back "I don't have it now, I lost my job after the accident but as soon as I get my settlement money I will have the money to come to medellin and then we talk about what we can do for each other". I am not about to contradict JjBee62, there is no need to contact them until a week or so before you arrive. But sometimes you want to assure yourself that the chica you are looking at is a prepago so then its not a bad idea, and always lead off with "I am coming to Medellin in blah blah days" so the know you are serious. Then you can flirt a little by telling her she is beautiful and you want to spend some time with her throw in some kissy emoji and a dollar sign emoji, often the third thing I say to the hotter ones is "I want to bury my face between your legs". I have not had one that did not like that a lot. I have accidentally talked to chicas that were not prepago and none were offended that I thought they were.

It's kind of a hike, like at least 30 min or so. If you do, do they usually go along with it and drive to your apt / hotel, etc? There is a popular FB chica named Ieraldin Gomez who has a few FB profiles who hops on a bus from a little hick town about hour southeast of Medellin, so Bello is not that far in comparison, I always kick Ieraldin extra pesos for the bus ride even though she does not ask, which is part of the reason that I do, she is a sweet heart.

About the Facebook thing, if you want to keep this separated from say the activity that your coworkers, friends and family see, then here are a couple of tips. Absolutely you would be better off with a separate profile. This is getting harder to do because FB has tightened up on fake and duplicate profiles. Also you have to start over. So here are a few tips if you choose or have to stay with your primary profile.

In Facebook you can choose who sees your post as was stated earlier. This is important too because if a chica can see your post than they can "like" of even comment on your posts and your whole Facebook world might then take notice. You can have a set group of friends who see your posts, yes it is a pain in the ass but once you do it once, you do not have to do it again. You can separate your friends into categories, say you put all your chica friends into the category of "acquaintances" , then when you go to post "I am on a flight to Medellin" go to the box where you make a post, click on "create a post" then in that box that pops up there is another box that wants you to say who you are posting to it might say "Public" of "Friends" etc, if you click on that box a drop down box opens and you can scroll down and see "acquaintances" . Disclaimer: I have never tested this. You can also create your own groups. You want a group that says "Medellin" you can do this. When you click on someones profile and you see the box that says you are "friends" you can click on that box and drop down opens, says "close friends" "acquaintance" scroll down and it says add to another list, click that and at the bottom of that is an option that says "new list". , type in say Medellin and that creates your medellin list and it will be a new option everytime you add another friend.

Don't want them thinking that I'm trying to go at it at the pure civilian level, and then ignore me, like "what the hell, you're too old to date".Things are kind of different in Latin America. I was out to dinner in Brazil with my girlfriend the other night. She looked at a couple next to us and started laughing. I said what? She whispered I don't know if that is his girlfriend or his daughter. Dude was like 70 and the chick was like 30. So I asked what is wrong with that. She said nothing. Then she told me when she got married she was 19 and her husband was 39. I said damn. He was smart. She told me a story of how they got on the bus and he paid the money and the driver said sir you forgot to pay for your daughter.

Then I told the story before of my ex girlfriend in Cali. We met on a dating site and she fessed up to being 16. I said no way. She was born the month before I graduated high school. She said my family will not care. I said well you call me when you are 18. She called me when she turned 18 and I went to see her. Her mom used to cook 3 meals a day for us. Her mom and dad used to ask me to sleep at the house (couch though). They never asked me for anything. Now she is divorced with 2 small kids, but we still talk every now and then.

Everyone, especially Mojo Bandit, thanks a mil for the help.

I will join the forum with an account, Mojo. Just need to find time to get to a place a couple of miles away that has a machine that sells bitcoin.

I tried online, thoroughly confused. One of the services that you go through, to get a bitcoin wallet, asks all of these security questions, and one of them shows you a map of your city and asks you to name which cross streets are the closest of the multiple options. Just moved to Orlando, and I don't know the streets.

It was absolutely infuriatingly frustrating and wanted to scream.

Never had any Colombian friends who weren't P4P call me amor, more, bebe, etc. Although a few have used "Mijo."

If I'm chatting with a girl about setting up a P4P meeting and she talks to me as if she's someone who does P4 P, it's not going to bother me. If I'm asking a nun for directions and she blurts out "amor, dame la verga en mi culo" it's probably going to throw me off.

The higher people are on the socioeconomic ladder, the less likely they will be to call you "amor".

The colder the climate, the less likely.

Prepagos and putas will ALWAYS call you amor or bb though. This much is true.

I remember once back on 2006 when my second ex-wife (who actually used to have a presence here) was with me we were eating in a neighborhood restaurant and I needed some salt and addressed the waitress as "amor". My wife was FURIOUS and the waitress started making eyes at me and flirting with me. LOL!

In NYC in the Spanish speaking community almost everybody calls each other amor so it was force of habit for me (I was still living in NYC at the time).

They all have absolutely no problem coming over. You just have to get use to the fact that most of them will be late. All the fb girls are terrible at making basic statistical estimations (all the girls I see are between 18-21, maybe the older ones are better at math), whatever arrival time they tell you, just add a relatively large margin that is directly proportional to the distance between your place and Bello and the time of the day. I normally add anywhere between 30-80 minutes. Taxi cost about 20-25 k from Bello to Poblado, one way, and about 25-30 k from Bello to envigado. Some of the girls will ask for 50 each way, you can tell them to fuck off and just give then 50 k for round trip.

I asked a fb girl very directly, after some niceties. Like hope you enjoying your day. If she'd be interested in some time with me.

I proposed an amount, she upped it (which was still a good amount) and then I asked, how about 3 hours (might as well try to haggle the time then).

She said:

" Si baby. Solo un polvo".

I looked up this particular slang, the second part. And "It's just a lay".

This is after much more affectionate conversations from two prev chicas that I have plans with next week.

I'm guessing, drop this one? Sounds cold af.

Hi all,

I'm planning a possible Colombia trip. Been to Colombia back in 2006 to Bogota and Cartagena. Since then planned a trip to Medelllin / Cali numerous times. But life situations means I had to call it off.

All my previous notes now all useless LOL. I have been RTFF and started adding fb girls. I have also messaged some bms here for advice and many thanks in advance for those who are getting back to me.

I have a few questions if anyone can provide their two cents. I have temporarily booked 2 weeks off (28th March - 12th April). This coincides with the holy week. Is this a mad time to visit? Will it be quiet the week before the holy week? I have another two weeks end of June. I can delay the Colombia trip until then so I have more time to prepare my contacts (and learn Spanish!).

I have signed up to SA. Is the way to do it just to msg girls before I land and collect all the numbers? My spanish is nada (knows a little portuguese).

I have searched for "Lau Gomez" on fb. There are a few under that name. Can anyone offer any hints which one I need to contact?

Thanks!

Migration authorities in no case may impede entry to the country. Only in emergency cases in which health officials suspect a visitor of actually carrying the virus, they will be obliged to cooperate and be taken to a hospital for a check-up and possible treatment.Surprising. I am sure that the USA and Australia for example would refuse entry if they felt it appropriate based on travel patterns etc.

Surprising. I am sure that the USA and Australia for example would refuse entry if they felt it appropriate based on travel patterns etc. They would still be allowed in the country but not allowed to roam the country freely. They would put them in quarantine. They wouldn't just refuse them and stick them on a plane with 200 healthy people to go back.

How important for you is not catching the virus?

I also planned to stay in Medellin, but now I am debating.

I have the following concerns:

1. I think it is much easier to catch it here than in Cali because I am switching girls here almost daily. That doesn't happen back home.

2. And if you catch it here, I don't know how well local healthcare can deal with it.

3. If it spreads here, I am not sure how badly it will affect daily consumables, food supply etc. I think USA supply chain will be affected less.

Why? What is it based on? Please elaborate.1. Assuming widespread contagion in both places, yes, you're more likely to be exposed in Medellin. Higher population density, more personal contact. Personally, it's not something I'm concerned about. That's just me personally. There's no way I can 100% protect myself. No matter what I do, the risk will never be zero. Which means ultimately it's not something I can control. I don't worry about what I can't control. I take the precautions available and deal with whatever happens.

2. I'm not certain the local healthcare anywhere is prepared to handle it. Assuming widespread contagion, anywhere will be quickly overwhelmed.

3. USA supply chain is something I do understand. Let's look back to 2005. First Hurricane Katrina hit, then just a few weeks later Hurricane Rita hit. This strained our ability to deliver relief and repair supplies to the limit. What made matters worse, much of the logistics support was wasted on self interest. Here's one example:

Hurricane Rita severely damaged the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Miami. In order to maintain their market presence Coca-Cola offered 3 times normal rates to deliver products from up to 1200 miles away. About 30 truckloads a day were wasted on making sure south Florida had plenty of Coke.

The USA supply chain is long. In Colombia it's relatively short. The USA supply chain is international. In Colombia, most food is grown locally. In the US corporate takeovers and mergers have created many food deserts. Many neighborhoods are already underserved. Supply chain disruptions will cause shortages quickly. Medellin still relies upon local markets. While there may be shortages, they will be more evenly distributed.

Why do I have more faith in Colombian healthcare?

Our system is focused on one thing above all else. Profit. Resources are allocated depending on profitability. Can we switch the priority to emergency response? I don't want to bet on it. We're talking about costs that could quickly exceed $500 billion. Imagine the argument over who's going to pay.

Healthcare in Colombia is a constitutional right. While the system may be overwhelmed, the first priority will be to provide care. Who pays for it is something that will be dealt with later.

In many ways, US healthcare is already overwhelmed. Five years ago, during a routine physical my doctor detected an anomaly in my heartbeat. Potentially, it was life threatening. I was immediately referred to a cardiologist. I called and explained the potentially life threatening problem. The earliest available appointment was in 7 months. I kept calling other cardiologists and found one I could see in 3 months. Finally, someone directed me to the cardiology clinic, where I only had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment. Fortunately, the problem isn't life threatening. I know others who have experienced similar issues for other specialists. For my rheumatoid arthritis I got lucky. Although the rheumatologist recommended had a 1 year waiting list to get in, I found a better one, with only a 2 month wait.

That's probably a lot more elaborate than you wanted.

I'm flying in tomorrow.

Maybe I should say "aay" a lot and say I'm from Canada. Wondering if they ask for your passport, etc. In the casas.I flew into Bogota a few days ago. All that happened was my temperature was taken. I went through customs in like 5 minutes and no one has mentioned the virus to me. Only difference I saw were masks on passengers, and I do not mean to be racist, but it seemed like almost everyone of Asian descent had on masks both in Colombia and in USA.

Shit, the COP went to 3800 to the dollar today. This is an amazing time to come.

If cases increase in Colombia, I wouldn't be surprised to see mongering activity decrease on the supply side.Orgasmico, I have someone betting big that the virus does not spread well in warmer climates. Apparently, a Nigerian contracted COV from a high risk area. He came back to Nigeria and and came into contact with a lot of people in Nigeria and no one contracted the virus.

The virus has appeared to peak in South Korea: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/09/asia/south-korea-coronavirus-intl-hnk/index.html.

Here are the totals in S. Korea.

March 8: 367 new S. Korea corona cases.

March 7: 448.

March 6: 516.

March 4: 760.

March 3: 851.

I am not trying to downplay how serious COV is, but I am just saying that with the media blasting how huge COV is, there is some possible light at the end of the tunnel.

If you look at the pandemic of 1918, the second and much more deadly wave started in the fall when temperatures got cooler, https://www.history.com/news/spanish-flu-second-wave-resurgence.

This supports the notion that COV may not spread as well in warm weather places. Again, it is an alternative view that I heard that I am sharing with the forum. I am not saying it is right, but it is a theory that is out there.

FWIW, I had a family member die of the Spanish flu in 1918 so I know how devastating this virus could potentially be.

Guys are willing to pay more when the local currency is in the shitter because back home it would cost this and on their currency end it appears to be cheap. But when that currency comes out of the shitter, they are stuck paying those higher local prices that was nothing to them before. You think of 1000 pesos as 1000 pesos. These visitors may also be asked questions about their state of health, where they have been and where they are going for tracking purposes.

According to Migracion Colombia, this would affect some 24,000 incoming travelers every day.

Unless health officials suspect infection, these visitors will be free to travel. In cases officials do suspect infection, cooperation with subsequent procedures is compulsory and could include self-imposed isolation or hospitalization.

This is a hard report for me to make. Last night in Santa Fe, Bogata all the clubs were closed. I found a very beautiful woman around 30 years old. She had that Asian look some of the girls have. I offered her 250 k for TLN. She accepted and off we go to my hotel IBES. BTW they are girl friendly (one only). So in the room the next thing I remember is I'm looking for the girl, and I'm in such a daze it did not bother me that I could*not find her. After a while I saw my safe door was open. From the safe I lost $930 USA cash, my cell phone which was a Samson 10. Now for the really heart breaking part. My Wingman who lives in MDE, but is in the US now, we decided that a rate of 4000 pesos per dollar was crazy. So for the six days I have been getting 900 k at a time from an ATM The safe was full of 50 k notes. I have no real idea how she got into the safe.

About 5 years ago in MDE I was also drugged and robbed.

All this plus as I'm basically a old Monger I know deep down in my heart it is time to pull the plug on mongering.

As a last note from my many years of being on the hunt I must give this final piece of advice. The only way to be safe is to deal with casa's.

A good rule of thumb, when TLN, is to have her register at the hotel, so that when they leave, reception calls you to ask if everything is ok, only do it with chicas you know or are recommended by someone you know, otherwise, just see them during the day.

Thank you for sharing. I am sure this will help us be careful.

So sorry to hear about what happened to you Kelso.

Later.A better rule of thumb is don't do TLN with unknown girls.

Another rule to consider:

When all the bars, clubs and restaurants in an entire country have been shutdown, borders have been closed to foreigners, residents have been advised to stay home, maybe it's a bad time to be picking up girls off the street.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you Kelso. That's a very sobering experience. What a shocker.

Somehow or someway she slipped you a drug. Can you remember how that happened and tell us what happened?

Yep, the chickas are a bag of tricks. Get her to to register IF you have reception, security. In my case in Sosua there was neither, the chicka rifled my pants pocket quicker than you can say 'cobra' , then producing a knife, I was drunk, I let her go, could not touch her as I would have had my culo lessoned, imagine touching one of Dominican Republics fine upstanding daughter's. She even brought Polisia to attempt round two, rob the gringo. Fail.

Had to postpone my upcoming trip to Bogota, reschedule my leave, and then skip the hoop Avianca, I'm looking at early June when all the hysteria dies.

Later. She did register at my hotel. This hotel does not call when a girls leaves alone.

So my first thought was to call the police and let them track her down with the ID she gave at the desk.

First off this girl was a sharp cookie. I'm almost sure she used a fake ID. I was leaving the next day so if they could find her right away then I would bet the money would be gone by then.

One good thing I contacted my cell co. And I found out they used no data. Also my phone only works with my thumb print or a code is needed. So I get a small last laugh as my co. Black listed the phone. That phone is dead.

Two days before my last scheduled trip, and I had such a set of hotties lined up, the travel ban to Colombia went into effect. I had cleared a nice 2 weeks off of my schedule, looked around not wanting to stew in the ever more hyperparanoid sex prison, and saw that Guadalajara, Mexico has great airfares and was a place I wanted to check out. I have not been here before. The women are nice enough here, but it sure ain't Colombia.

Anyway, the girl I am tightest with in Colombia was really disappointed. Her school has been moved to online, and I asked her if she could fly here. Apparently, she could although she risks a quarantine when getting home even though Mexico has not been hit so hard with the virus.

So I got her a dirt cheap last minute $220 flight on Copa, and she is scheduled to come out. I asked everybody how much she would need to bring with her so customs didn't give her a hard time, and the universal figure seemed to be $500. I shipped it to her via Western Union, and we got around 3900 COP per dollar.

Meanwhile, the Mexican peso has plunged too. It has gone from 19 to 24. The hotel I am staying is Marriott quality and is $30 a night. She asked what if she couldn't get back to Colombia, and I said that you could just stay here. Puerto Vallarta is a 4 hour drive from here, and we may go there. If the border is closed, then that place may be deserted. Already the cruise ships are not stopping there. I can just say that I am not seeing the hysteria here like other places which is nice.

The exchange rate here is a mess too. Even though it is listed at 24, the best rate I got was 23 sending myself money via Western Union. The airport gave me 17, and I went to a moneygram place, and it was 21. I have seen other places at 18 and 19.

Mexico is nice, but is like hamburger versus the steak of Colombia. God do I miss the women there. My posse is sending me sweet messages, sex videos, I miss you texts. And hopefully, my main squeeze makes it through and she is here tomorrow. We are flying her through Panama City and to Guadalajara. It was the best price but also bypasses Mexico City which I have heard is where Customs is the roughest on foreigners.

So there is still pussy to be hand in the Latin world. It just is not the kind we all are used to.

It was funny the other day someone asked me about setting me up with an American woman, and without even thinking about it, I responded, "I don't date American women. " Colombia cured me of that bad habit.

I have read that some of the drugs used will cause you to be very obedient. So you probably opened the safe when she told you to.There are tons of videos on youtube that teach you how to open a safe. You can use a magnet, potato, your fist, etc. With a magnet you can move the plunger down while you turn the handle. With a heavy object you can strike the top and turn the handle quickly while the plunger is down.

Damn, I was thinking about hitting the coast for a weekend to do some snorkeling but looks like I'll stay in Medellin and just visit some of the pueblitos when I want a change of pace.
