Compared to MDE, Bogota seems to have more laid back, service-oriented chicas. And price wise, it's not even close. MDE is easily twice as expensive per session. (That's apples to apples; of course there are ranges for each area you shop in).Which apples are you comparing? Casas? FB? SWs?

I'll start by saying I know some love this city. And I'm certainly not trying to sway anyone from avoiding Bogota. I just have to say it's not for me. One problem certainly overshadowed my entire trip. That incident was bad and will certainly prevent me from considering a return. (More on that later).
I won't bore everyone with blow by blow details. So forgive the general nature of my report.
The city: traffic is insane. That said, it seems like just plan on going anywhere took 35 minutes. It can be close by or far away. Every trip seemed to take 35 minutes. I stayed near Santa Fe and frequented alot of casas to the north. In hindsight, I should have stayed up north. I stayed at Tequendama Suites. The room was nice and more than adequate, especially for the price point. The surrounding area was part of my problem. If you choose Tequendama, just know that you are in a busy area. Think about sleeping near Times Square. Horns amd sirens. It's a big city amd except for a few hours overnight, it's hectic. One other issue: uber drivers had a HELL of a time finding me. Most of them came down carrera 13 and missed their turn on carrera 10. Then they'd cancel. There's not really a parking area there, which also caused minor issues.
Girl quality: it's almost stupid to discuss this broadly. But I would say for my tastes, Medlellin has a vastly superior selection. In my opinion, Bogota is filled with good looking girl next door types. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, that's kind of my sweet spot. I'm not one that goes out and hunts 10's. But I do think the overall quality in looks is a step or two below MDE. As for service, in my experience the GND usually delivers better service. Biggest load of crap I've read here in the Bogota section. Comparing Apples to Apples Medellin is actually cheaper. MOST GIRLS in Santa Fe are asking 50 mil pesos now a days same as in Plaza Botero / La Veracruz in Medellin. However you often get 20 mins in the rooms instead of 30 min as is the case in Medellin. Also as noted by our good friend Sr Woodman, some of the Santa Fe girls are asking 60 k - 70 k now. So how is Medellin twice as expensive when comparing apples to apples??
And for the record I have walked up and down Cra 13 Everytime I go to Bogota from my hotel near Calle 22 up to the Davivienda and FarmaTodo pharmacy walking past Tequendama Suites all the time and I have never once been robbed even at 10 pm or 8 am or anytime. Usually there are armed soldiers patrolling the area. By the way across the street from Tequendama is a food cart selling excellent grilled arepas con queso. They're usually there in the morning by the intersection on Cra 13 and Calle 26 where the Yellow railings are.
I love Bogota with all my heart. Sorry you had a bad experience.

So, the big question is: Was I in the right place? Please chime in because I am still confused!
Zona de Tolerancia and Street Girls:
Woodman took me there around 4 on a Wednesday afternoon. After walking around for 15 minutes, I came to the conclusion the Zona de Tolerancia was the biggest monger candy store I have ever seen! There were 100+ street girls available and their prices varied.
Final thoughts on Bogota:
It was a seeking putas and eating good food trip. I thought the city was quite safe and I never felt threaten in any manner. If I lived there, I would learn other forms of transportation. The city was huge! Would I ever return to Bogota? YES, I felt like I only scratched the surface of the monger scene and restaurants. Overall, I had a great time! Would I recommend it to other mongers? Absolutely!

The area Chapinero has about 20 casas in a 3 km radius. There are even chains like r0 squilas that have 5 locations. Most barrios nearby have UTR spas and casas. The santa fe tours from woodman are not really needed. The zone is compact and is only a couple of streets. That being said, street crime is rampant and caution must be exercised while walking.
Recent reports include gringo targeted robberies near 93 up north so I cannot recommend a specific barrio as being safe. Your risk appetite should drive your decision in coming to Bogota.

Though I'm not a fan of SWs. Chicas in Santa Fe are cheaper than the chicas in Centro of MDE and infinitely cheaper than a Lleras chica. I don't use FB anymore. I know I'm missing out on a nice stream of chicas but I'm too busy to invest the time it takes for what still has a high flake rate. So I can't really comment on FB prices. But I'd also add bar girls to the comp. In my experience, you would pay close to double for the same quality chica in MDE.
Big picture, and again, just my experience, if you are very price concious, Bogota beats MDE and it's not close. At the same time, I'm going to speak out of both sides of my mouth and say I prefer MDE. I value the quantity and quality. It feels like you have a better selection in MDE. Did the robbery taint my view? Probably. But even more than that robbery, I could not believe that feeling of constantly being a target in BOG. Just come back from Bogota and I saw only a 9/10; the rest were 5 or 6 according to my taste; I went to SF, 7 de Agosto, mezzanines, but did not find anything worth spending more than $20; I have many regulars of mine that went to spain where they can make more money.

I could not believe that feeling of constantly being a target in BOG. I'm not the flip-flop, jewelry wearing guy that we all know. I know many of us like to be away from gringos. There are certainly benefits but my overall feeling here is that the gringos stick out there and the plotting to get you is non-stop.
I'm really not trying to discourage anyone from going there. But I did not feel that same target on my back to the north of Bog. (Chapinero, etc.).Not trying to discount your experience, but I have walked those same streets all times of day and night over 100 times. I have never felt I was some type of target. And remember I have posted many pictures from those same areas in the middle of the night using my top of the line Samsung. Maybe god protects old people and fools and I am getting double coverage.
P.S. Foreigners stick out everywhere no matter how you feel. If thieves were waiting on foreigners in the streets of Bogota, then they would starve to death.

Seems some syndicate is in Colombia to recruit Latinas in Bogota to go to Spain. Almost always it's for 3 months, probably because of visa requirements, not sure but its very suspicious most go for 3 months. In any case not a good thing for guys like me who have had many many great times with the girls in Bogota. And now to see them go to Spain for 3 months at a time. Not good for mongers in Bogota.

I'm curious if my brothers on here have had success with regular women in the store the street etc. I always loved landing a non pro. I met a woman on the beach in Rio, selling bikinis, mid 30's very hot and beautiful woman after 10 minutes of bullshit, made a date for that night and WOW a great night, it wasn't necessary to go the Help that night. Jajaj met a very hot waitress in Pizza alley in Miraflores. A waitress in CR traveling over Cerro de la Muerte on my way to my girls house in San Isidro. I've had lots of no's and not interested but remember most women need help in Latin America and if you have any game, dress trendy and you don't look like Quasimodo you will have success, more crash and burns but its always worth a try and the best thing about it you almost always have a long term friend to call on in the future. Then today or yesterday I was talking to another chick online asking when we will meet. She said so soon? I said hell yes. I am not about to waste 3 weeks of my life talking to you just to realize when we meet that we do not like each other.
And I do not dress any trendy. I will just have on the regular jeans and t-shirt like anybody else who is walking around the city and not on their job.
For me also, it is not about needing help. I'm in Bogota to fuck girls that I find cute. But I don't have time for the "game" while on these short vacations. My days are full exploring Bogota and the surrounding areas, sightseeing, shopping, walking around. I don't desire a girl to be by my side to enjoy this. Santa Fe is, in a word, interesting. There are definitely some diamonds there. It has a dangerous yet thrilling feel. To say all shapes, sizes and types are available is an understatement. I was surprised that some of the most attractive girls I saw in Bogota were on the streets of SF. That said, a little foreshadowing. Walking the streets of SF you can just feel the target on your back. I'm a gringo. I always travel alone. I've done alot of travel. But here more than anywhere I've been, you can just feel the target on you. Interestingly, I did not have any problems in the heart of Santa Fe. But.
My incident: I'd consider myself a seasoned traveler. I have a fair amount of street smarts. I take reasonable precautions and accept that there is an inherent risk in how we operate. Well, I finally got got. Outside of Tequendama Suites, I got mugged. I mentioned that target on my back. In hindsight, I made a mistake or two. But I also feel like the odds are just stacked. A gringo walking alone there is just a matter of time. I'm a big dude. I remain alert to surroundings. One mistake was that I felt the area I was in, literally in the shadows of Tequendama Suites, was so busy that no one would be that bold. Walking past Itau, essentially across the street from the hotel, a group approached me and pulled a knife. They directed me just off the main street and robbed me. They got a very small amount of cash and my burner phone. They made me unlock the phone and took off. The four guys were all dressed very well, but to be honest, I never saw them until they had the knife on me. But they definitely would not have caught my attention based on their appearance. What struck me was that this busy area with seemingly 100 or more people was all of a sudden empty. There was NO ONE within a block. There was not alot of commotion. I chose not to scream and yell. But after it was over, it sure felt like everyone knew what was going on and they all scattered like rats. Rookie mistake: for convenience, I had a few apps that I should have kept off my burner. So that's the biggest loss. It's a pain in the ass tracking down digital footprints. Obviously, that soured me on Bogota. But, even if that didn't happen, I just didn't like the scene.
Lastly, a couple bright spots I would call out. Vicky's Spa. It is not a cheap option by any stretch. But all of the girls there are spectacular. I would recommend Sara if you like them wild. LOL.
I also hit the jackpot with a couple selections off of Mileroticos. Tequendama Suites has a good security process to the point they won't let the girl leave without you confirming all is well. So I took a chance there and was rewarded for it.
For those that love this city, enjoy it. Just not for me.About the traffic, at rushhour it is prety bad-- if you can learn how to use Transmilenio you can get around quicker at the high traffic times as the buses have their own lanes-- the card is 8 mil and about 3 mil a ride. But if I do not have my card on me I will ask someone entering to use there card for the 3 mil-- never had a problem-.
Sorry too hear about your robbery which is kinda wierd that would happen over there as there is so much security like armed soldiers-- But shit happens I guess. I have been in that area 1000's of times and have never had a problem except when some biker tried to snatch my phone as I was sitting in the plaza in front of Teqendama hotel.

MDE has better looking girls and better casas. BOG has better clubs and more girls in general. Generally I would say Bogota is cheaper on average, but not by a huge margin. Depends on your mongering style too. Casas are a huge disappointment in Bogota in my opinion. Traffic is a problem that's only going to get worse in BOG, you want to stay near the action or have the action come to you. You're time is too valuable on vacation. Santa Fe and SF bars: total let down. I arrived on Thursday so it wasn't the days of thr week. Honestly, they were a waste of time. In any of the bars, there were between 5 and 20 girls. If you are a guy who wants to walk in and choose the girl, go upstairs and knock one out, these places are adequate. I typically like to have a drink or two, party a little bit. Well, that just never happened. It had kind of a weird vibe. Maybe slightly depressing? I can't find the right word. But it was not a party feel. And every bar had near ear splitting music. I won't bore everyone with blow by blow details. So forgive the general nature of my report.
The city: traffic is insane. That said, it seems like just plan on going anywhere took 35 minutes. It can be close by or far away. Every trip seemed to take 35 minutes. I stayed near Santa Fe and frequented alot of casas to the north. In hindsight, I should have stayed up north. I stayed at Tequendama Suites. The room was nice and more than adequate, especially for the price point. The surrounding area was part of my problem. If you choose Tequendama, just know that you are in a busy area. Think about sleeping near Times Square. Horns amd sirens. It's a big city amd except for a few hours overnight, it's hectic. One other issue: uber drivers had a HELL of a time finding me. Most of them came down carrera 13 and missed their turn on carrera 10. Then they'd cancel. There's not really a parking area there, which also caused minor issues.
Girl quality: it's almost stupid to discuss this broadly. But I would say for my tastes, Medlellin has a vastly superior selection. In my opinion, Bogota is filled with good looking girl next door types. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, that's kind of my sweet spot. I'm not one that goes out and hunts 10's. But I do think the overall quality in looks is a step or two below MDE. As for service, in my experience the GND usually delivers better service. I really have no complaints about the service levels I had with any of my sessions. Compared to MDE, Bogota seems to have more laid back, service-oriented chicas. And price wise, it's not even close. MDE is easily twice as expensive per session. (That's apples to apples; of course there are ranges for each area you shop in). For what it's worth, Bogota seemed to have alot of good food options.
Santa Fe and SF bars: total let down. I arrived on Thursday so it wasn't the days of thr week. Honestly, they were a waste of time. In any of the bars, there were between 5 and 20 girls. If you are a guy who wants to walk in and choose the girl, go upstairs and knock one out, these places are adequate. I typically like to have a drink or two, party a little bit. Well, that just never happened. It had kind of a weird vibe. Maybe slightly depressing? I can't find the right word. But it was not a party feel. And every bar had near ear splitting music. I like the party vibe. I like the music. But when you can't hear the person next to you, it's too loud. I didn't session with a single girl in those bars. I'm sure they are gold mines for some of you. But it wasn't my scene.

I was surprised that some of the most attractive girls I saw in Bogota were on the streets of SF. That said, a little foreshadowing. Walking the streets of SF you can just feel the target on your back. I'm a gringo. I always travel alone. I've done alot of travel. But here more than anywhere I've been, you can just feel the target on you. Interestingly, I did not have any problems in the heart of Santa Fe. But.
My incident: I'd consider myself a seasoned traveler. I have a fair amount of street smarts. I take reasonable precautions and accept that there is an inherent risk in how we operate. Well, I finally got got. Outside of Tequendama Suites, I got mugged. I mentioned that target on my back. In hindsight, I made a mistake or two. But I also feel like the odds are just stacked. A gringo walking alone there is just a matter of time. I'm a big dude. I remain alert to surroundings. One mistake was that I felt the area I was in, literally in the shadows of Tequendama Suites, was so busy that no one would be that bold. Walking past Itau, essentially across the street from the hotel, a group approached me and pulled a knife. They directed me just off the main street and robbed me. They got a very small amount of cash and my burner phone. They made me unlock the phone and took off. The four guys were all dressed very well, but to be honest, I never saw them until they had the knife on me. But they definitely would not have caught my attention based on their appearance. What struck me was that this busy area with seemingly 100 or more people was all of a sudden empty. There was NO ONE within a block. There was not alot of commotion. I chose not to scream and yell. But after it was over, it sure felt like everyone knew what was going on and they all scattered like rats. Rookie mistake: for convenience, I had a few apps that I should have kept off my burner. So that's the biggest loss. It's a pain in the ass tracking down digital footprints. Obviously, that soured me on Bogota. But, even if that didn't happen, I just didn't like the scene.
Lastly, a couple bright spots I would call out. Vicky's Spa. It is not a cheap option by any stretch. But all of the girls there are spectacular. I would recommend Sara if you like them wild. LOL.
I also hit the jackpot with a couple selections off of Mileroticos. Tequendama Suites has a good security process to the point they won't let the girl leave without you confirming all is well. So I took a chance there and was rewarded for it.
For those that love this city, enjoy it. Just not for me.First of all, sorry for that, we all know that it can happen anywhere anytime to us in this hobby. But you can stack the odds in your favor, by knowing where your staying. 2 things jump out at me that area is not that safe, its only a short walk from the famous El Bronx that was broken up by a police raid a few years back and all that did was scatter the vermen into nearby areas. ALSO never and I mean NEVER think people around has anything to do with your safety. Andino Mall is the most exclusive mall in Bogota and in the best of areas and 2 years or so ago a man was shot right outside the mall coming out of a bank, at LUNCH time with hundreds of people around. Also it's very possible the people in the hotel could have tipped off the robbers to you location. For the last 10 years, I stay only in the north and very near Parque 93 Chico Norte one of the best areas and I'm always careful, I never walk the 3 blocks to my hotel after dark, always taxi or Uber. And remember Bogotanas are well known for not getting involved!! They may assist you after the threat has gone but never intervene on your behalf during the mugging. . It wasn't Bogota, it could happen in Medellin, Santander, Cali it doesn't matter. Bogota has always had their share of robbers but more so after Covid and the influx of some very very dangerous Venezuela gangs. Stay safe.

Welcome to the land of putas, arepas, and thin air! The nicer parts of the city, like La Candelaria and Zona Rosa were quite clean. But, I found some other areas were a bit trashy and riddled with graffiti. Having said that, I felt safe wherever I went. Because of the altitude, it was pleasant during the day, but it got chilly in the evenings. Because I am old and already walk slow, I did not have any issues with the altitude.

I'll start by saying I know some love this city. And I'm certainly not trying to sway anyone from avoiding Bogota. I just have to say it's not for me. One problem certainly overshadowed my entire trip. That incident was bad and will certainly prevent me from considering a return. (More on that later).

I'm planning on doing an extended stay in Bogota Colombia or Mexico City for at least half a year. Colombia seems to have better reports compared to CDMX. Funny enough most of the good CDMX lays seem to come from Colombianas in Mexico.
My priorities are:
- Agencies or Massage Parlors over Street Walkers or Clubs.
- I don't like drinking, loud music or walking the streets.
- BBFS.
- I don't care about food or other things to do. And I can live with less safety.
- I'm open to Seeking Arrangements, though I've never done it.

The place your waited for the room is called Tantra casa. You went to the Tantra bar which is next door. The bar does not have their own rooms so they get rooms from the casa. The chicas working at the Casa do have priority over the rooms compared to the chicas from the bar.Thank you for clearing up that issue.

Absolutely not. I lived in both places. CDMX is a great city to live in, but in terms of pay for play, CDMX is terrible. After living in colombia for half a year, and then going to CDMX, I did not find the women super attractive and nowhere near the quality of colombia.
2) Does Bogota have better or worse agency options than CDMX? Significantly better agencies. The agencies in CDMX are awful in my opinion. Lots of bait and switch, and you will pay a hefty penny for top tier ladies.

I'm back in Bogota for my 3rd trip here. My first trip was back in Sep 2023 for 10 days and my second trip was in Dec 2023 again for 10 days. For both of those trips I stayed at the Tequendama Hotel. I arrived for this most recent trip this past Friday Sep 6th. As usual the flights from where I'm coming in the USA have my landing at like 5 am Bogota time. The trek through customs was pretty quick. I filled out my MIG even though this trip United didn't force me to like previous trips, but I did it anyways just to be sure.
This trip I am staying at the Hotel San Francisco de Asis for the first time as the rates for the Tequendama Hotel was like double the nightly rate and it was about 25% higher than what I paid my past two trips. Since I'm staying 18 nights this trip figure I should save a few bucks LOL not to mention I did want to check out this hotel. I had booked my hotel for Sep 5th since I certainly didn't want to wait until 3 pm to check-in. Nobody else was checking in when I arrived so that went pretty simple. The desk people spoke limited English and I don't speak Spanish although I know a super small bit. Everything went fine and I was checked in pretty quickly.
For those who may want to know the room is ok but not ideal especially if you're a bigger guy. The bathroom is small and the toilet is positioned pretty close to the sink and the shower has a sliding glass door that is a bit small too not to mention the toilet paper dispenser which is like the ones you see in public bathrooms in the USA so it's pretty big is right there kind of blocking the entry way into the small shower. The shower head is coming out of the ceiling too which I'm not a fan of. As per most Bogota hotels a / see isn't really a thing, but there is one window you can open. Although the noise from the street below can become decently loud if you open the window. With the windows closed though most of the traffic noise isn't an issue. At least on the higher floors. The bed is a bit harder than I'd like and I like a hard mattress. There is a desk and desk chair in the room if you need someplace to setup shop to work from. The internet has been pretty decent too as I've watched some YouTube videos, streamed some anime on Crunchyroll, and streamed some podcast and music. There is a wall mounted flat screen tv in the room with a decent channel selection too. They do have a daily breakfast, but I've not partaken so I can't really say if it's decent or not. There are ample little convenient stores, drug stores, and restaurants around if you want to stay in the area mostly. Also most of the people staying at this hotel tends to be locals although I've seen a few whom appear to be non-local like this American / European looking white couple.
Anyways after checking in I went to my room and crashed for a few hours since I was mostly away on the plane ride down. After waking up I hit up the OXXO store that's 1 block away on the opposite side of the carrera 10 to get some bottled water and a few snacks. Later Friday evening around 6:30 to 7 pm I walked over to the zona to get into some action. This first night I ended up just walking around the zona stopping at some of the little beer bars having a drink and checking out nearby girls. This lasted a few hours before I eventually decided to scoop up a freelancer whom I fancied at one of those places one block over from the back entrance to Troya. She was a cute little Colombiana that was short, hand the typical brown that was past her shoulders, small boobs, but a nice little ass that I found was slightly enhanced (I originally thought it was natural). The session with her was pretty nice and she seemed pretty friendly based on what limited talking we could do. After that I walked back to the hotel. Again I did this my past trip for the slightly longer trek back to Tequendama Hotel so I was comfortable walking back at like 1 am in the morning.
Saturday I decided it was my day to return to Troya which per my last two trips is my favorite zona club. I got there sometime between 8-9 pm and stayed there until sometime between 1-2 am. This night I didn't see a lot of the same faces I saw on my previous two trips although I did see a few holdovers some whom recognized me. Overall I will say that Troya had a lot LESS enhanced girls on staff compared to my last trips. I like all types of women, but do love a women with curves so I was a bit disappointed some of the enhanced baddies I've seem previously, but didn't get to sample weren't on-hand. In my view there looked to have been more girls with butt work than breasts work for those whom did have any work done at all. Maybe all the enhanced ones went to another club, went independent, retired, or went abroad. As usual when I go to these zona clubs I usually order some drinks, chill, get some dances for various girls, then finish out the night with a session from a girl I fancy. This visit was pretty much that. The chosen lady of the night ended up being this girl that had approached me right after I arrived. Since I prefer to chill by myself for a good 30-45 minutes to see what talent was on-hand I had dismissed her. Not to mention she was wearing to much clothes at that point. I forget what kind of top, but she had on some khaki type pants and heels which certainly isn't what you typically see girls walking around the club in although I could tell her ass was nice and her face was cute. Lucky for her she did a set on-stage where she got naked which really allowed me to see that ass more and it peaked my interests in her more. I did end up getting a dance from her and later on ended up taking her up stairs to end my night right.
Sunday I knew the zona was going to be a bit slow. I just went out to one of the little bars for a bit then grabbed a freelancer. That session was a dud though since the chick didn't have lube and spit wasn't really cutting it too much. I ended up just getting a crappy CBJ to completion and called it a night.
Tonight / Monday after last night's dud I decided I'd hit up Troya again. I got there sometime between 8 and 8:30 pm and stayed until a little after 1 am. It was more of less the same as my trip Saturday. The selection of girls was still pretty much similar to Saturday's lineup, but there were even less enhanced girls than there were Saturday. There were mostly natural girls and even the freelancers (I assume that's what they were) that would occasional pop in looking for customers where mostly all natural girls too. There was one I really fancied but she was kept busy entertaining / drinking / talking with guys although I think only one pulled the trigger. Anyways after going through my usual of buying various drinks, chilling, getting dances I decided to take this one girl upstairs that I'd conversed with and gotten dances from tonight and on my last two trips, but never did the deed with. She'd given me a good dance tonight and since it was getting late and junior was ready for some action she was it LOL. We went upstairs and I put in some work. Junior must have been making up for last night's dud as it took a little longer than usual to bust so I really gave her the business. After that I walked back to the hotel as usual even thought it was a little wet outside since it'd apparently rained a little during the time I was in Troya.
It's like after 3 am now when I'm writing this so off to bed I go. I still have a number of days left so I'll write more if anything of note happens.

And is a there a decent casa cambio at the airport?The money changer in AP is not going to give best rate-- but there are ATMs too-- largest amount (2 Million COP) is from Davivienda with a $4-5 fee (not sure if they are in AP) Also BanCoomeva gives 2 Million too. There are others that give close to that, Banco AV Villas, Caja Social (1. 9 million or so) and there are others I don't remember names-.
Of Course you may do as many WDs up to your bank limit.
Important -- They ask if you will 'accept the conversion' -- Don't Do it -- it is a junk fee-- I actually was at another ATM recently at Banco AV Villas and they asked if I would accept some other thing and made it look like I would not get money-- I said no and got paid.
There are many Davivienda ATMs in the downtown area not far from Santa Fe-- Also in the North.

At least with my bank it is. So I will get the same conversion rate at any bank ATM. But ATM fees may vary, and at least with Davivienda there is a hidden other fee sometimes. And maximum cash withdrawals can change. Lower on paydays for example.

Thanks to woodman for stating this. I am surprised that it isn't common knowledge. This is true for Colombia and elsewhere.
ATMs will ask "Accept the conversion" or something similar. If you say yes, then you are accepting the local bank's conversion rate rather than your banks.
I am not sure on non-US banks, but for US banks you will see very low rates vs the interbank rate you see on XE. I think it's between 0% and 1,5%.
To proove this was the case with a friend years ago, we did an experiment at two banks. IIRC Bancolombia and Davivienda. "Accept the conversion" gave a rate 3,5% worse.
SUDAMERIS. I am surprised that Banco Sudameris doesn't come up. They don't have nearly as many branches and have a funny ATM interface (as in colors and clip art). But they have the lowest transaction fees and very high withdraw limits. I've seen 5 M but usually "only" 2 M. They are the local bank of choice for wealthy expats. If you need to see a teller, you are unlikely to have a long line. Their branches are mostly in wealthy neighborhoods of Chapinero and Usaquen.
Banco de Bogota has the lowest per transaction limits.
Outside of major cities, your choice of ATMs can be very limited.
Also, as mentioned, the casa del cambios at the airport and otherwise are typically really bad rates. Especially for Colombians buying dollars or euros as they leave. Sometimes the selling dollars rates can be OK, when the casa is low on US cash, but typically not. There's also a very real chance of counterfeit for casas not at the airport.
The money changer in AP is not going to give best rate-- but there are ATMs too-- largest amount (2 Million COP) is from Davivienda with a $4-5 fee (not sure if they are in AP) Also BanCoomeva gives 2 Million too. There are others that give close to that, Banco AV Villas, Caja Social (1. 9 million or so) and there are others I don't remember names-.
Of Course you may do as many WDs up to your bank limit.
Important -- They ask if you will 'accept the conversion' -- Don't Do it -- it is a junk fee-- I actually was at another ATM recently at Banco AV Villas and they asked if I would accept some other thing and made it look like I would not get money-- I said no and got paid.
There are many Davivienda ATMs in the downtown area not far from Santa Fe-- Also in the North.

Yes, you will find a lot. Many Colombian women age very well.
In Photoprepagos you can use age filters and get a lot of hits for older women of quality. I have found that the listings are reasonably accurate for age (maybe add 5 years to what's listed). I believe that the verified postings are exact as they submit their cedulas. 80% of experiences on PP have been very good to excellent. And the 20% have only been "fair" - by Colombia standards (high bar).
La Celestina, best agency IMHO, has "MILFs" which they define as 29+. They tend to be in their 30's though, probably 45 max.
I'm a little weird, in that I like older women. Like 40-60. I know everyone here is looking for spinners and young ladies, but I have always had *great* experiences with older providers. I am surprised that this agency doesn't get more good press. They are probably the largest high end agency in the city. By far. They aren't cheap. I have nothing but good things to say. Solitasparati / Niisha used to be their equal, but they have declined in both size and quality. And they are usually prompt (baring traffic). Often to the minute.
I believe that the face blurring is new to the site.
On any day other than Sundays there will be at least 100 available, many of whom don't have profiles on their website. All photos are real and most are lightly to moderately photoshopped for skin tone & blemishes. And, as most people know, it takes much more effort to touch up videos.
There's a telegram channel which they use to broadcast who is available. It usually comes out twice daily 11/12 AM and again around 2/3 PM. It typically has a photo or GIF of a bit less than half of the list. They have recently begun some livestreams with model interviews and giveaway raffles. Only problem is that the telegram channel is oversubscribed (+1600) and they will only add you if you have recent business. However, beginning around noon, you can ask them who is available and they will send you the list. If whatsapp, it will be only the list. If you use telegram then you should ask for list and photos.
IMHO, unlike other agencies, many (but not all) of the models will insist on going thru the agency for repeat business.
As for the profile data, I think it's 95% correct on LaCele. Some fields (like surgeries, height) are 100% accurate.
If you are in an appointment and have any type of misunderstanding or dispute, and speak Spanish, make a call on speakerphone -- yours or the model's. Asking to have them help mediate. Customer service & repeat business means a lot to them. It's been many many years, but I did once have disagreement on rate and upcharges. Agency supported me and all was good, including a good session. As long as your are polite and apologize for the misunderstanding. BTW, it's also a good idea to only have exact change in your wallet and keep additional funds elsewhere. Esp for independents. Seems less of this than many years ago.

On PhotoPrepagos, in my experience, I think the profile data is 80% correct. I've got a good track record or perhaps I've improved my BS filters. It's always the same person, but sometimes the photos can be rather old. Some providers have been on there more than 5 years. Oh yeah, PP just added audio attachments. You definitely should listen to them. It can definitely give you a preview of personality. Even without Spanish fluency, you'll be able to judge a lot on tone of voice.
Mileroticos.
On Mileroticos, I would estimate that the profile data is 70% correct at best. IMHO, Mileroticos is only for use outside of BOG and MDE.
It might go without saying, but I will say it anyways. With LaCele, it's a agency. When you chat you are chatting with a dispatcher.
With PP and ME, it's probably 50/50 that you are chatting directly with an independent. Especially when they take a while to get back to you (hours). PP and ME are also horrible for timeliness even when not doing domicilio. The no-show rate can be rather high for domicilio.

Bogota Vs Mexico City.
I'm planning on doing an extended stay in Bogota Colombia or Mexico City for at least half a year. Colombia seems to have better reports compared to CDMX. Funny enough most of the good CDMX lays seem to come from Colombianas in Mexico.Nah, I would not go for Colombian women being better in bed than Mexican women. I will say Colombian women are more friendly in Colombia than the Mexicans are in Mexico. Mexican women have this kind of wall that you have to break through until they get comfortable. But the Colombians who go to Mexico have that same wall.
My priorities are:

The Colombian women I have talked to and have gone to school in Mexico say it is a breeze compared to Colombia.
I have settled down with one gal I met in Bogota. I cannot tell you how many times we have traveled and someone correctly identifies that she is Colombian. I should say though that you are going to run out of touristy things to do in Bogota in a week or so. Mexico City has so much more to do and see. IMO if you get bored in Mexico City, that is on you. There is an energy in Mexico City you only see in the best big cities like Tokyo, NYC, London. You can just feel it. Outside of the women and a few things that are more costly in Mexico City, Mexico City has Bogota beat in every way.
So to me, you can go to Bogota and find the street walkers, strippers, and escorts and get your itch scratched. What I wish guys could see is what I see. After hooking up with my gal, I met her friends and all her daughter's friends. It is the most amazing set of women I have ever seen: looks, class, education, talent. Thing is these women are busy at work, school, and their families. It is not easy to penetrate this world, but it exists, and the largest collection of said women is in Bogota.

Unlike Lleras, you won't find any SWs in these areas.
For me, the only places I now stay are north of Calle 68. For first time visitors, I suggest something near Chico Norte / Parque 93 as there are a lot of options.
There are a few nice places south of Calle 68 that are high up the hill, but they are not really walkable and that's important to me.
I've stayed further south of Calle 68, including Zona G, Candalaria. But I won't be going back there.
Don't let the distance to Santa Fe discourage you. There's no lyft in Colombia, but Uber is plentiful, but also setup Didi and Driver apps.
Also, I've read that gringos are targeted in the north.Actually I think it's more the opposite. The north is where the wealthy and expats live.
Foreigners stick out more the further south you go. Also, it isn't skin tone which sets foreigners apart -- it is often body mass, clothing, and / or just how you walk around. And of course once you open your mouth, it's obvious even if you are fluent in Spanish.
Santa Fe is typically a nighttime only destination unless you're interested in the mostly low-end SWs. I would compare the SWs of Santa Fe to be more like el Centro in MDE.
In the north there are a few clubs (higher $ than Santa Fe), many casas, MPs, and the mezzanine. Go to the Bogota Lists channel (scroll way down to find it). There you will find the maps.
They aren't fully updated and some of the casas have closed, but it will give you a feel.

The P4 P world is tiny there compared to Medellin or Bogota and I would say even Cali. There's a currency conversion right where you pick your bags up on the carousel. Likewise with SIM cards also at the airport. However as woodman pointed out you can save some money doing ATMs and also doing the SIM card in the city. There are a few cell phone shops on Carrera 7 between Calle 23 and 20. You'll need to know some Spanish though as many of the shops don't speak English but the airport location will be good if you have limited Spanish.
3. I can't talk for airbnb but I will say that if a hotel is more your style you can't go wrong with Hotel Ibis Bogota Museo. It's inexpensive for the most part, rooms are fine, it's girl friendly and it's an easy walk to Santa Fe or easy access for the transmillenio or taxi / didi / uber for getting around to the clubs, etc. Coming from Thailand, Malaysia, etc you may find Santa Fe to be "gritty" and some people are okay with that and others are freaked out by it. I've been to Medellin 10+ times in the last two years and cartagena once (which was enough for me LOL). Me and some friends are planning a trip to one of these three cities and it's currently up for debate. Here's what we prioritize:

I agree with MaddTraveler on nearly all points. I think the point you are getting at is frugal doesn't mean cheap -- another way of "stay in your lane" perhaps. It's a very different experience in SF vs a GF or GFE including dinner, drinks and TLN elsewhere. You can use the car analogy sure, but I think the restaurant analogy is better. There are all kinds of ways to eat in Colombia, from things you can buy on the street to world class dining. While it is true you can get an experience that is a very good or very poor value, overall it is a very lot less expensive than US or Europe if you are trying to compare like for like. It is equally true WG and restaurants.
Some people only want to eat at some only want local street food, McDonalds (which exists in Locombia), some want only Michelin level. And some are like me that want and can afford a variety.
I do highly encourage all visitors to try the restaurant scene in BOG and, if you are into the hobby, as a second date I encourage extending a TLN to include dinner and drinks before. If pro or semipro, negotiate the TLN rate first and then propose starting earlier but including dinner and a drink.

Yes, Zona G does have a few of the most expensive restaurants in the city: LEO, El Chato, Cielo. But there many others in Zona G not at that level of cost and quality. For me the most expensive area of the city for a date of any type is Zona T (around CC Andino and CC Atlantis). In Zona T there are some good restaurants for sure, but there are also a few which for me aren't high value for money -- specifically Andres Carne de Res and anything inside Andino). In addition to the restaurants, there is also the shopping. Taking a date or WG there is a big mistake as you are going to waste time, money or both. Also, for non pro you need to know what they will appreciate and be comfortable with. I've seen some WGs become really intimidated by fancy restaurants, come dressed inappropriately, or intentionally order the most expensive thing on the menu just because they could. I generally don't go to a good restaurant until 2nd meeting.
Nonpro tip: use a trip to Zona T or any big CC as a litmus test early in a relationship. Go to a Crepes or Wok in any big CC and see how much time they burn in stores just looking, or how many things they want you to buy for them. That will often foreshadow things to come. Atlantis, Unicentro, Grand Estacion, Plaza Central are all better for that test than Andino.

Sometimes the "I don't know" comes from the latin gender roles. It's the man's role to pick the place because he will be paying and it would be impolite otherwise. But after a couple years you get comfortable with each other, she will become comfortable to express her thoughts. But still the "I don't know" reappears LOL.
For other Colombians, depending on their background, they may go out to eat rarely outside their neighborhood and / or only dine out with family. It doesn't actually correlate with socioeconomic status.
While there are exceptions, anyone dating a nonpro Rolla more than 2 weeks knows about family dinners. If you want a long term relationship, it is to be expected and is obligatory. Pretty much an insult if you say no and would be the end of the relationship for many. I've not done a statistical study in SF or other clubs, but it feels like a 30% drop. For both chicas and customers. That was gut feel, I looked back to the daily lineup from La Celestina for something quantitative. A "normal" day is between 60 to 110 chicas. During the first week of January, this dips as low as 40 on a Sunday or Monday / festivo, but it's often between 50 and 90.
I don't think success depends on the quantity of chicas, rather it is a combination of the ratio chicas: clientes and your ability to select well. Also, looks for me are less important to personality and performance.
That said, I am not the best person to ask as I have non-pro options.

Been to Bogota recently. It was trip number 13 for me.
Here is a quick report:
North spa around Calle 80 carrera 14/15 (sensity, via, colorin, lux, absolut). Good line up at lux. Around 10 girls. All very attractive. Been 5 times. 270 k. However service is limited and cold. All girls work and behave the same. Sensity, mixed line up but service and behavior good to very good. I found a girl specifically with whom the fit has been perfect. Colorin, via, absolut: uncertain line up, hit or miss, depends on the day and your luck.

HIGHLY recommended but make sure your chica is up for it.

GFE isn't for everyone. But if it is for you, I think Colombia the best in the world. Some say SE Asia or Brazil. Those don't do it for me.

I had just finished getting my hair cut at the barber shop near the Monaco Building in the South Stroll and was walking up to Calle 20 when I heard a commotion and glass breaking ahead. Alot of screaming and yelling and people were running in all directions and then people started converging on the corner of Calle 20 and Carrera 14. I seen a crowd surrounding a guy on the ground in a pool of blood. What I could see through the crowd was this guy had a hole in his neck and blood was pumping out as he was bleeding out. A terrible scene and chaos to say the least. No police around at all even though they had did a bust on that corner about 30 minutes earlier. At one point it seemed that he had stopped breathing. Multiple people were calling emergency services on their phones but it was too late. You guys that live in Bogota and frequent Santa Fe can confirm this with your sources because I seen it with my own eyes. Be careful out there and be aware.

And as far as I know the exchange rates depend on exactly when you pull the money and what exchange and discount your home bank uses. And as far as I know it is your home bank not the bank you use to withdraw the cash that determines the rate. I know with my bank it changes every few seconds and if you are sending money the quote is only good for a few minutes. Some banks use the previous day rate to set the exchange rate but I don't think all of them do that.

I'm wrapping up a 3 night stay and was very happy with the trip. I stayed at the NH Pavilion near Parque 93. Inexpensive and didn't charge extra for a guest. It should be very well known by everyone travelling outside his / her own country, that withdrawing money from an ATM usually offers the options:
1) CREDIT. Advance cash from credit card. Never choose this. It has 4% advance cash fee, on top of any conversion fees and bank fees.
2) DEBIT. This is the option to select. Money is taken immediately from the bank account. No 4% fee, but there are conversion fees and bank fees depending on the bank (it could be local bank fee PLUS your bank fee).
CONVERSION OFFERED to your home currency.
NEVER accept. The conversion fee is some 10% higher than the regular rate. Some people takes this option, for ignorance or because they like to see immediately how much money they are withdrawing from the account. I understand that the rates reported by Gauntman are these ones.
Without this option selected, the amount is converted to the currency of your home bank account based on standard inter-bank rates of the time of the day you withdraw. The rate is the one given by the MasterCard or VISA circuits, in most cases, and it is some 1%-2% higher than the average mid-point rate you see on xe.com or yahoo.com.
The difference between the option "conversion/no conversion" is striking! It could be some 10% overall. Please note that the same conversion option is also offered often when you pay by credit card in a shop, restaurant, hotel. "Sir, you want to be charged in EUR or COP?". If you do not mind, your expense on your credit card statement will be up to 10% higher than without conversion... Beware.

I have been visiting Colombia, mostly Bogota many many times per year. Colombia is inherently dangerous, Bogota more so since Covid and an influx of Venezuelan gangs. Went to SF twice in 10 year of travel but its not my thing. Woodman showed me around the first time and he can help newbies hit the ground running if that's your thing but by no means believe SF is safe. I am always late when it comes to writing these reports. This one is from Monday September 16. I must have walked down to Santa Fe from my Airbnb about 9:30 pm. I went looking for the barbecue guy down at Troya, but I think he is closed on Mondays. There was plenty of action out.

I walked downstairs and the hotel guy was in a chair asleep. I went outside and it was raining. The place was now a ghost town. It was 1:40 am. I walked back to my Airbnb taking these pictures with my top of the line Samsung as I have had no problem doing for the past almost 20 years.
The next morning I headed out in Indrive at 9 am. He drove through Santa Fe. Man I have never seen so many people out there in my life. It was more wide open than a Friday night. I think we have been going to Santa Fe for the street chicks at the wrong time. Mid morning looks to be when you will be like a hog in slop and get the pick of the litter. Multiple people were calling emergency services on their phones but it was too late. You guys that live in Bogota and frequent Santa Fe can confirm this with your sources because I seen it with my own eyes. That being said, watch out for the Venecos, they are ruthless. They aren't all bad people some are hard working and somewhat honest, but alot of them are lacking in the ethics department. And once you cross Caracas keep your head on a swivel, I think you're more likely to be a victim of petty crime than violent crime though.

I don't get this. On all my trips to ATMs in Colombia I've gotten the interbank rate, which would be the 4418 you quoted at first. They do charge me a bank / ATM fee, but my Schwab account refunds that to me.I also have a Schwab card / account and I do get the 50% rebate, however, the rate is always changing. Per Google, at this very moment the exchange rate is 4402.81, I do have to get some pocket cash to go out, so I'll report what is the current rate later in the evening or tomorrow morning.
I really cannot understand why this topic comes out every now and then. It should be very well known by everyone travelling outside his / her own country, that withdrawing money from an ATM usually offers the options:
1) CREDIT. Advance cash from credit card. Never choose this. It has 4% advance cash fee, on top of any conversion fees and bank fees.
2) DEBIT. This is the option to select. Money is taken immediately from the bank account. No 4% fee, but there are conversion fees and bank fees depending on the bank (it could be local bank fee PLUS your bank fee).
CONVERSION OFFERED to your home currency.
NEVER accept. The conversion fee is some 10% higher than the regular rate. Some people takes this option, for ignorance or because they like to see immediately how much money they are withdrawing from the account. I understand that the rates reported by Gauntman are these ones.
Without this option selected, the amount is converted to the currency of your home bank account based on standard inter-bank rates of the time of the day you withdraw. The rate is the one given by the MasterCard or VISA circuits, in most cases, and it is some 1%-2% higher than the average mid-point rate you see on xe.com or yahoo.com.
The difference between the option "conversion/no conversion" is striking! It could be some 10% overall. Please note that the same conversion option is also offered often when you pay by credit card in a shop, restaurant, hotel. "Sir, you want to be charged in EUR or COP?". If you do not mind, your expense on your credit card statement will be up to 10% higher than without conversion... Beware.Nice to know! You got to decline the conversion rate that is offered to you by the bank / ATM. Even if you decline, you will still be able to pull the money out. I agree with MaddTraveler on nearly all points. I think the point you are getting at is frugal doesn't mean cheap -- another way of "stay in your lane" perhaps. It's a very different experience in SF vs a GF or GFE including dinner, drinks and TLN elsewhere. You can use the car analogy sure, but I think the restaurant analogy is better. There are all kinds of ways to eat in Colombia, from things you can buy on the street to world class dining. While it is true you can get an experience that is a very good or very poor value, overall it is a very lot less expensive than US or Europe if you are trying to compare like for like. It is equally true WG and restaurants.
Some people only want to eat at some only want local street food, McDonalds (which exists in Locombia), some want only Michelin level. And some are like me that want and can afford a variety.
I do highly encourage all visitors to try the restaurant scene in BOG and, if you are into the hobby, as a second date I encourage extending a TLN to include dinner and drinks before. If pro or semipro, negotiate the TLN rate first and then propose starting earlier but including dinner and a drink.
I do have a little quibble with this:
Zona G is NOT the most expensive area of the city.
Yes, Zona G does have a few of the most expensive restaurants in the city: LEO, El Chato, Cielo. But there many others in Zona G not at that level of cost and quality. For me the most expensive area of the city for a date of any type is Zona T (around CC Andino and CC Atlantis). In Zona T there are some good restaurants for sure, but there are also a few which for me aren't high value for money -- specifically Andres Carne de Res and anything inside Andino). In addition to the restaurants, there is also the shopping. Taking a date or WG there is a big mistake as you are going to waste time, money or both. Also, for non pro you need to know what they will appreciate and be comfortable with. I've seen some WGs become really intimidated by fancy restaurants, come dressed inappropriately, or intentionally order the most expensive thing on the menu just because they could. I generally don't go to a good restaurant until 2nd meeting.
Nonpro tip: use a trip to Zona T or any big CC as a litmus test early in a relationship. Go to a Crepes or Wok in any big CC and see how much time they burn in stores just looking, or how many things they want you to buy for them. That will often foreshadow things to come. Atlantis, Unicentro, Grand Estacion, Plaza Central are all better for that test than Andino.

Never really concluded this trips report down to Bogota so I'll just end it with final thoughts. I wrote more specific details in my other reports so check those out.
In general:
Club girls in Santa Fe- the girls range from 80-150 depending on what you want. And in general 120 k seems to be the standard at least for me which included BBBJ, DFK (some would do this well and others wouldn't), DATY and multiple positions. Depending on how cute the girl was that might also include CIM but typically add another 20-30 k for that. I tip (that's just me and if they do a good job) so I'm typically walking out after a girl spending $150 k all up with propina. Despite the few reports of stabbings and / or muggings on here, I have been to Bogota as a solo white male traveller 5 or 6 times now. I have not had a problem however I have had a problem with pickpockets and once again some douche tried to pickpocket me while getting into a crowded bus. Honestly, uber and didi are not that much more than the bus and just easier so I just recommend doing that unless you want to stay as cheap as possible. Just don't have stuff in your pockets. The people that do this often work in groups and they're good.
Restaurant ideas: don't listen to the people that say Bogota doesn't have good food. There's loads of good food. If it's your first time then try a visit to La Perseverancia Market for lunch or a late breakfast. Compania Casa Del Rey is close enough to Santa Fe and has some nice options. Restaurant ideas: don't listen to the people that say Bogota doesn't have good food. There's loads of good food. If it's your first time then try a visit to La Perseverancia Market for lunch or a late breakfast. Compania Casa Del Rey is close enough to Santa Fe and has some nice options. I've only been offered a heater when I used to stay at hotels, like the Vilar America, but since I started doing airbnb, that has been nonexistent in my travels.If you have a heater, hide it when you leave the hotel to go out as some housekeeping will keep it or report you. Fire hazard, against policy, etc. And if it is an older building, it could indeed be quite dangerous.
If you buy one there with no intention of bringing it home, you can use as barter in exchange for time and services. Most chicas will never have seen it and will love it.

Personally, I would be hesitant to stay at the places on Woodman's list. If you are first time visitor and / or your street skills / spanish are poor, I would think twice. I checked the listings Woodman posted and there didn't seem to be lobby security in many. Many of those places are just a block or two from Caracas. That is a very short walk from SF. And walking there with company or alone and you will be noticed and could easily be followed. Because the side streets are often empty when I've been there, I am more wary of that are than SF itself.
My creds: I've stayed over 400 nights in AirBnbs in BOG and know the city from north to south, east to west. While I usually stay between 72 and 120, I have stayed further south. I have conversation spanish, but not completely fluent. There are plenty of decent airbnbs in the various towers around Univ de LOS Andres / Museo Nacional and I've stayed there too. But those are absolutely not guest friendly. AirBnbs all over are less guest friendly than in years past and it's still a YMMV. Often all guests have to be registered by the apartment owner.

For those, your chances are near zero for getting one of them to bend the rules are zero in my experience. However, if it is an older building and the same guard is there night after night. Have a chat with them, order something for them on your next Rappi, etc. They will let you know if you can bring someone. AND they will register the chica, keep their cedula and probably ring you to confirm todo bien as she leaves. Those places are gems but they do exist. No, I will not reveal my list.
Also, your chances of entry into apartment building or hotel go down a lot when there's a large age difference between you and your new friend and / or she is not dressed as someone who might live in the building.

My creds: I've stayed over 400 nights in AirBnbs in BOG and know the city from north to south, east to west. While I usually stay between 72 and 120, I have stayed further south. I have conversation spanish, but not completely fluent. There are plenty of decent airbnbs in the various towers around Univ de LOS Andres / Museo Nacional and I've stayed there too. But those are absolutely not guest friendly. AirBnbs all over are less guest friendly than in years past and it's still a YMMV. Often all guests have to be registered by the apartment owner.I know some of those on that list-- I just picked those out of the area-- I only wanted to give guys an idea of the area. Some of those are good and others I do not know-.

I've paid for months long trip based on how much I saved. And that's paying en efecitvo in BOG versus having full dental insurance at home. So much so that I canceled dental insurance. I did have a root canal and full complicated implant. In BOG my primary dentist is a bit old school and doesn't do everything -- just the most complicated parts (implants). I went to another place at his direction for full mouth xray (paid cash, it was really cheap IMO), I got results on whatsapp in minutes and sent them to him myself. He looked at them and told me to go to another Dr near unicentro for root canal. She's waiting for you. She did the root canal right then. Wish I kept her info. She was hot and probably would have accepted an invite for dinner. After that I went back to my dentist. He gave me temp crown and I went back less than a week later for the real deal. IIRC it was less than 2 million.
Dental work of all types, cosmetic / skin related stuff. For sure BOG and MDE are two of the best locations in the world for that kind of medical tourism. I don't think I would have any major surgery there. But for sure Bangkok is a good option for that.
I have also needed MRI and ultrasound. Got those as a walk in at imaging clinic. Ultrasound was like 70 K and I got interpretation by the MD who was running the machine. Yes, an MD running the machine not a tech. It wasn't the latest machine. But I got the printout and they put on USB that I had. 2 months later in US I got another ultrasound and they used the file from BOG as comparison. I paid more in parking in the US for that procedure than I did for the whole thing in BOG.

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of going to Bogota for the first time next month. I've been to Medellin many times but not Bogota. Just wondering if there is a safe area there similar to Parque Lleras in Medellin, and / or a hotel similar to the Mansion. Also, any suggestion for a hotel or apartment in a safe area that is chica friendly? Thanks in advance.

We just walk in and head straight to the elevator. I have stayed in Chapinero mostly, also around parque 93 and zona T, and also stayed a few times in Usaquen and a few smaller neighborhoods up north. In Medellin its a different story, I have to register my guests every time.

Teqendama Suites allow guests.Tequendama Suites is where the family of Pablo stayed while he was on the run. The rooms have a bedroom separated from the living room by a sliding divider and have a nice kitchen where you can cook. They have a free breakfast. However, make sure the taxi or Uber understands that the Tequendama Suites is where you want to go as nearby is the better known Hotel Tequendama. Also the entrance is odd as the lobby entrance is about 20 yards from the street and is a bit hairy late at night.

IMHO, these are the best weeks of the year to be in Bogota. Festive mood for everyone and there are many chicas looking to get holiday money, so the supply goes way up. And in my opinion lots of talent.

The Suites area is not dangerous at night tons of guards and soldiers there 24-7.

GREAT info for all. Many years ago I mistakenly booked the other one. Stayed only one night because it was a bit runned down for my taste. I stayed at the Hotel Tequendama several times years ago, when FARC and the ELN were still threats. I was told that the Colombian military owned the hotel. I'm not sure if that's true, but the two "militares" with assault rifles beside the front door were a nice touch. And impressed my dates. At that time the rooms were dated but in reasonably good shape.
And yes, the Tequendama was indeed the hotel where the Escobars were ensconced.
Coming back to Bogota next year. Me and a buddy, going to show him around and have a great time. Do have a question still. Scope looks like it is a big threat in midellin, is it bad in Bogota. Will be using seeking some and also free lancers mostly. But wanting to be safe also. What do you guys think?
I'll be in Bogota Thursday first time there so I'm using a lot of seeking but I also want to learn the area since I think Colombia could be a place for me to retire at! Any advice is welcome ty.
