It was a seeking putas and eating good food trip. I thought the city was quite safe and I never felt threaten in any manner. The city was huge! I felt I spent a good amount of time in taxis / Ubers. Would I ever return to Bogota? Not sure at this point. Overall, I had a great time! Would I recommend it to other mongers? Absolutely!

I arrived in Bogota last night and thought I would share my experience thus far. Lot of great info here that has helped me in the past so hoping to give a little back. I have been to Colombia 10 times since 2009, mainly to MDE. But I wanted to explore Bogota a little more. My Spanish is better than average and I can get around and communicate with the chicas in Spanish. I am spending 6 nights in BOG, then 6 nights in MDE, then the last 4 nights in BOG.
Hotel- Got a reservation at Hotel Ibis Museo, $50/ night including the breakfast add-on. Rooms are clean and nice enough, very small but that doesn't bother me. I love the location with plenty of restaurants and banks nearby, and of course the clubs in Santa Fe are a short ride away. Bed is comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Room has a safe but no fridge. Really glad I booked here. And like an idiot I left 200 k COP sitting on the desk when I left the room. The housekeeper cleaned the room and did not touch it. So that was nice. IBiS is a pretty big global hotel brand so it's a great hotel for the price I got. It is supposed to be chica friendly which I will explore during my trip.
Transportation- UBER has been a great option. I had the hotel pick me up from the airport as I wanted someone waiting in front with my name on the sign when I walked out. I used UBER to and from Santa Fe. Less than 8 k COP each way before tip. IBIs has cars out front but they are more expensive. I will use UBER to the airport. I think its about $10 usd.
Strip clubs- I hit the clubs on Carrera 16 a. Fiebre had 20+ girls, overall good quality and a few 8-9'S. I went there first and took Rosario up to one of the rooms for 170 k. She was really into it and looked like a hot librarian with her glasses. Fun to talk to and we had some laughs. Everything was covered which is fine with me. I hung out for a couple of hours after and had a few beers. I thought the prices were reasonable. 10 k for an Agila. Coronas for the chicas were 20 k. It's been a few years since I have been to Colombia so I don't recall if there has always been the difference between published fx rate and the ATM rate. When I booked my IBIs reservation, the rate was 4,300 per USD on my credit card.
I will make some additional posts during the trip.

I think you made a few money changing mistakes. The best rate is almost always going to be at a bank's ATM. BUT. Never accept the offered bank conversion rate. Always decline it. Your bank is almost certain to give you a better rate; just as your credit card did. From the rate you got at Davivienda, it sounds like you accepted the offered conversion.
The only time that using the ATM might possibly cost you more is if both your bank and the bank ATM you are using both charge you service fees for the transaction. MY US bank reimburses me for the service fees and doesn't charge one itself. Davivienda does not charge a service fee if you use their ATM.
The same goes when you use credit cards. Some places will ask if you want the charge in US dollars (if you are from the US) or in Pesos. Always say you want the charge in Pesos.
Unless you brought a lot of cash with you to exchange, you are better off with ATMs than any money changer in the country. And if you do use a money changer, you can bargain for a slightly better rate than they will give you otherwise if you have clean, crisp, reasonably new $100 bills.

I use ATMs when in Colombia. I do bring some cash for emergency purposes and / or if I arrive late and don't want to venture out to an ATM at night. The airport had plenty of ATMs in the baggage claim area though. My last trip to Colombia was 2018, prior to the ATMs asking if you want the conversion rate, used to just get the COP at a good rate. I did not do enough research on this issue and thought I had to accept the rate to get the transaction to go through. Fortunately, the following morning I looked at the ATM topic here on ISG and figured it out. Went back to Davivienda and pulled 2 million COP, declined the offered rate, and got 4,282 COP per USD, excluding a 26 k COP transaction fee which Schwab will reimburse me for. The 4,282 COP is pretty close to the 4,300 published exchange rate. So I'm good the rest of the trip.

I am wrapping up day 6 in Bogota. I'm heading to MDE in the morning for 6 days, then back in Bogota for 4 days before heading home.
Hotel- I have had a couple of strip club chicas visit my hotel during the day. The Hotel Ibis Museo is chica friendly. Security has let us walk to the elevators with no guest check in process. I actually prefer a required check in for safety, but had no issues with either chica. I like the location near Santa Fe but it's a long trip up to the norther part of the city. In future Bog trips I will probably divide the trip between Santa Fe area and northern Bogota.
Sante Fe strip clubs- Fiebre has consistently been the best on Carrera 16 a IMO. The other clubs have not had as many girls or the quality that Fiebre has had. I think I have Fiebre Fever! There was a Venezualan girl there every night that is one of the best looking women I have ever seen in a Colombian strip club.
Street girls- I have done the daytime Santa Fe stroll on several days. Definitely some cute ones to be had if you make a few loops. Did 3 sessions during the week, using the on-site rooms where the girls were. I ended up walking with my umbrella. I am staying near that Ibis so imagine walking it pouring down raining. Luckily I was wearing nylon pants and closed hiking sandles. It did not look like it was going to stop then like as soon as I got there the rain stopped and the party came out.

HOTEL- I stayed at the Ibis Museo again. Really love the location for proximity to Santa Fe and there were a couple of Transmilenio stations nearby (same can be said for Tequendama). NORTH Bogota SPAS / STRIP CLUBS- I only made it to Tantra Spa and One Relax. The women were older at both places than I typically choose. You do know that Spain is one of the scamming capitals of the world right? And in Colombia you can easily get drugged and robbed without even taking a girl to your place. I can tell you that my first time to Brazil was with my wife on our first anniversary. The morning we got back, I told her that I did not want to be married anymore. I have since lived and worked on my master's in Brazil and would probably still be there if it was not for the Olympics and World Cup fucking things up. I moved to Thailand.

That being said I have visited Prague last year and Indonesia this year (literally used google translate for every conversation), who are very diverse language and culture wise and had great time in both places, you can check out my FRs over there.

Is she going to hold you up at gun point, and fly down four stories in a parachute like Tom Cruise? And what country has a money back guarantee if a hooker does rip you off or up charges you? The point is I see guys scared shitless going to Colombia when seeing a hooker in Colombia as I described is SAFER than in the USA because of these circumstances and there is way less of a chance of a legal issue.
Brazil is a big country. Rio is a haven for crime because the nicest parts like Copacabana Beach are right next to the slums. In Colombia, I know people who have been drugged or had their phone snatched by a guy on a motorcycle. In Rio, of three guys, I was the only one not mugged, and one of the guys got the shit beat out of him. However, on the island getaway of Florianopolis, I talked to an old timer who rode the bus every day and never had an issue. Sao Paulo is in the middle. We did not have an issue there but you could feel it was not totally safe.
Sao Paulo like Bogota is not the most entertaining city in the world, but there are more 10's per square inch in Sao Paulo than anywhere else in the world, and they have the top brothel in the world there. HOTEL- I stayed at the Ibis Museo again. Really love the location for proximity to Santa Fe and there were a couple of Transmilenio stations nearby (same can be said for Tequendama). Girl friendly and I had a girl from Fiebre come over one afternoon. On future Bogota trips, I will likely split the trips between the Ibis Museo and a hotel in North Bogota so I can experience both without the 30-60 minute travel time.
FOOD- La Biferia in the Atlantis Mall was excellent. Empenadas, a Ribeye, salad and mashed potatoes for 100 k COP. Great meal. I have learned I have to order steaks well done in Colombia to get what I would call medium. There is a sandwich place up the hill approx. One block from the Ibis Museo that was incredible. Right next to the milkshake / burger place.
NORTH Bogota SPAS / STRIP CLUBS- I only made it to Tantra Spa and One Relax. The women were older at both places than I typically choose. But the massage at One Relax was excellent and my provider had a Cory Chase vibe which was hot. I probably won't return to Tantra Spa. Too small / cramped and didn't like the selection. Perhaps the lineups would be better on a weekend? I was there early in the week so maybe that was it. On the next trip I will spend more time in the Northern part of the city and try the strip clubs.

Massages. There are hundreds*of massage parlours*around Bogota. Usually with 5 girls in each. Most of them also offer sex. Very good value for money but you need to drive around the city.
Photos Prepagos and other online websites. Most of them are sex apartments advertising, usually the photos are not real, price is quite low (170,000) so I decided not to try. I do think you can find some gems there if you search hard and have time.

So I arrived in Bogota. First thing I did is went to the Lido Night Club in Chapinero. Beautiful girls, grades from 6 to 8. 5. The problem is the pricing. 500 for 20 minutes. 800 for one hour in the room. To take a girl to your place, you need to pay 1,800 which 300 or 500 are fine to the club that you take the girl out. I arrived early around 9. 30 pm. There were 10 girls. They told me later around midnight there are many more girls. I didn't want to wait. I left, but only after I took the number of a girl I liked there. I couldn't meet her eventually because she ghosted me and said she is not feeling well. I guess there are many gringos that are willing to pay those prices. Compared to Europe those are good prices BUT I can find the same quality of girls at a lower price in Bogota.
Santa-Fe area, Troya nightclub, Fiebre nightclub. I took an Uber directly to Santa Fe from the Lido. In terms of security, I never walk in Santa-Fe, although I have met Woodman, the amazing guide that walks you around, I try not to take any unnecessary risks. I take the Uber directly to the entrance of Troya or Fiebre, which are very close to each other. I do walk from Fiebre to Troya and back, but that's it.
Troya was amazing. 50 girls. Around 11 pm. Grades from 4 to 7 and even 8. Costing 50 COP for a lap dance of three songs, the girl gets fully naked and spreads her legs. I took so many lap dances from each girl. Found a nice Colombian lady, negotiated for her to come to my hotel for all night for 600. It was fun. You buy beer for a lady (lady drink, coronita) for 30 COP and she stays with you for a long time to chat.

This is a shitty hotel with just two good things: they are mostly girl friendly and they have very large rooms for a fair price.
Why they are shitty: The Internet does not work. When it does, most of the websites are blocked. Breakfast could have been much better with the same materials if they replaced the chef. They try to overcharge me. It cost 90 to get the girl into your room after 9 pm. They asked for 120. I argued and they dropped it to the original price.
The good thing is that they check the girls when they come in, and photo their IDs. They don't let girls without ID (Cedula) to get in. They don't let the girl leave without checking and phoning your room to see you are ok. I like it, and I am willing to pay for it. It is a low cost for the security they give you. Therefore I will go back to this hotel. I prefer it over an Airbnb with no security. For the internet, I just bought a sim for 20 with internet for a week.
Next day, I went again to Troya and Fiebre in Santa-Fe. Really, my favorite place in Bogota. I try not to stay too late in those places. I stay until 1 am. For two reasons, I want not to be so tired when I take the girl to my hotel. Second, early in the morning, people are more drunk and bad things might happen if you bump into the wrong guy. I also don't like the rooms inside the clubs, they are filthy. I prefer to pay extra and take the girls to my hotel. Once I found a girl that I like.
Prices in Santa-Fe:
Lap dance: 50. You can negotiate for less, especially if the girl is not that good looking. But I didn't care and paid 50. They get fully naked, opening their pussy. You can touch. And they dance quite well.

I went to Angelos which is a bit further south of Bogota. Beautiful club, have a jacuzzi in the middle. Very trendy, clean, clean rooms, lot's of girls, the average is a bit higher than Santa-Fe clubs, it's more or less like the Lido. Again, the problem is pricing. You need to order a bottle of Rum (ron) and it costs 400 just to begin with. To take a lady out will cost you 1,200. In the room it might be 800. A lap dance will cost you 200. Now although the average look is higher than other places, you can still find very attractive girls in Santa-Fe. So again, the value per money is not worth it. I left Angelos after I took a phone number from a girl and went back to Fiebre. The girl eventually couldn't meet me because she is living inside the Angelos establishment and allowed only to leave during the day.
Back in Fiebre I met two amazing girls. One blonde 26, with round ass, quite tall and thicc thighs, definitely an 8. I use a special old phone with a sim card I bought in Bogota. So I don't lose my phone if I get robbed.
I don't drink any alcohol. I don't like it and it's harder to spike my drink when I drink only water.
I don't touch the same bottle / cup twice. I drink everything immediately. If I put the cup back on the table, I order a new drink after.
Until now, I have been in Colombia six times and following those rules above, I never had any problem ever.
Security measures, what might happen to you:
A girl in your room might grab some money from your wallet or your*cell phone when you don't notice. I keep my belongings in the safe. I try to keep an eye on my stuff. I try to bring girls that look decent to my room. Until now I have succeeded (I speak very good Spanish so I can try and see how the girl is).
Someone might put something in my drink: At the clubs I try to be careful as much as possible. I try not to go alone to the clubs (I book someone from Showaround to go with me. Philipe is amazing. Or I even pay one girl that I trust to stay with me in the club). At the room, before the girl leaves, the receptionist at the hotel calls my room to allow her to go out.
You might get robbed with a knife or gun on the street: just give everything you have, it's not worth it. Your life is more valuable. I just walk without an expensive phone, without a credit card. I wear regular clothes, not too fancy (but not like a homeless person or the girls will not like me. I don't walk much in shady areas, I take Uber. I do walk with no problem in the north, like Zona T and Chapinero. I don't take my phone outside in the street at night. I book and wait for Uber inside the club.
Getting drugged / kidnapped: It's less likely in Bogota. That happens more in Medellin. Frankly, I don't know how to avoid that. I guess staying in the hotel is much more safer.

As you found out, the quality is not that much different in the Santa Fe clubs than the higher end ones. What is special with Bogota and Colombia is how inexpensive it can be.
