Upon check-in, the woman at the desk, after all the normal costs, signing the guest form, paying the bill upfront for the nights to be stayed, etc. Gives a rundown of the "guest policy", basically she said, in English no less, "If you meet someone and decide to bring them here, please know that we will take their physical identification and hold it while they're here. We will not give it back to them until you return to the front desk with them and instruct us that everything is ok and that we can return their identification to them."
At that, I was well satisfied that things would be ok.
Best part, I took 2 guests back and unlike in Medellin, there was zero guest charge. Just turn the ID over, the front desk person makes a note in a notebook and files the ID in an folder organizer, and off you go to the room. When you return, they ask the girl what her name is, check the notebook, retrieve it from the folder and off she goes.
For me in Medellin, most hotels wanted $100 k per guest, so between $20 and $25 USD at current exchange rates.
Given that the girls in Cartagena at least TRY to charge more, if you factor out the added guest charge that you'd pay in Medellin, the 2 become more comparable. Although Hotel Nutibara in Medellin centro did not charge me any guest fees either.
Bottom line, Soy Local Centro Historico was a decent enough place, with an ideal location near to all the action that if you wanted to bring multiple girls back over multiple days, the savings in terms of not paying guest fees could be pretty substantial.
NOTE: be aware that they use some sort of powerfully scented cleaning solution when mopping the floors throughout the building. If you're sensitive to strong smells, this might not be the place for you. Think Fabuloso type strong smell. If you like that, or are used to it because your family uses it, then you'll be fine. For me it hit me hard when I first was in the lobby checking in, but got used to it over the next 2 days. Just an FYI.
OTHER NOTE: The guys I met were staying at an OZ Hotel down in Bocagrande and they also said guests were allowed and did not mention guest fees being charged.Thanks! Soy Local / Oz Hotel and Oz Hotel Luxury are all full the days I'm there. There are plenty others, so I'll keep searching and contacting them on their joiner fees (most have them, the cheapest I found so far is 75,000; most are 100,000 like Medellin).

- Chicas are knocked out sleeping because they were in the clubs on Saturday all night.
- Chicas are on their way home because they were with a gringo the night before.
- Chicas are locked in an went with a gringo to an island for the day or a boat.
- You cannot take the girl back to your place, so you have to find a short time hotel.
With the above in mind, I would suggest scheduling something form a website where you go to where the girl is, most likely it will be in Bario Torices, it would be better is the are in Bocagrande.

I've had friends join me and they used that method of getting numbers at night and calling the girl during the day and most of the time the results were a mixture of:

Long story short his ass never learned how to say "sin sal" or "sin azucar" and he had an episode. He didn't tell me anything and I had no idea until the next day when I went to the spot to get breakfast, and the waiter asked me if my friend was ok and told me what happened.

So, figured I would make report, though this was in Cartagena 7 months ago, so, oldish info. It was kind of funny, this was my first real mongering focused trip, and literally days after I booked everything non-refundable (cheapest), the Mayor of Cartagena issues a moratorium on prostitution in Old Town. Thought that was going to make finding women difficult, but showed up and the ladies were all out and about!
The first night went almost too well, as I found a serious cutie in less than 10 minutes. Set me back 400 K. The women out and about seemed innumerable at the time because I hadn't really taken the scene fully in yet. The next night brought things into better perspective, as I spent hours on the stroll in Old Town. There were maybe 75-100 women out in total throughout the night. Girls get scooped quick if they are a serious looker! All the good choices dried up on night 2 as it was getting very late, and so I took what was a 6/10 back to my room, and once her clothes came off that score dropped to a 5. Same thing with other nights, there are definitely 7's and 8's out there every night, but they are few and far between, so if you see something good, you've got to go for it instantly. As compared to Medellin's Parque Lleras which I would hit a few months later, CTG is definitely NOT as good as far as selection, but still not bad at all. Additionally, as opposed to CTG's Old Town, it was not uncommon in Lleras to see a very good looking woman sit there all night, even on different nights, without a single customer.
I really enjoyed Cartagena, and will be returning. I think it's a good mix of vacation and hobbying. Whereas, I found myself getting miserably bored during the day in Medellin, while breathing in sulfury air, allst while eating mostly mediocre food and not daring to leave Poblado on foot after dark. Is this place even worth visiting in 2025?If you go solely for women, Medellin and Bogota are better. Cartagena has a lot more black women and if you like them, I would probably say go to Cali as it is so much cheaper than Cartagena.
With Cartagena, you know you are getting 90 degree highs during the days and 75 degree lows during the night. Most days will be filled with sun and really the only climate variations are wind and rain. The beaches are not the best but the water is warm. Bogota and Medellin are often cloudy, rainy, and grey, and although Medellin is warmer, I have had cold days and nights in both places. Also, although Medellin is at a lower altitude, there are altitude issues with both cities and Cartagena is at sea level.
The reason to go to Cartagena IMO is that it is a historic party town with good fun, food, and (for me) good weather. The beaches and women are secondary reasons.

They used to be on Playa Sosua under the spot with all the green Presidente umbrellas now they are at Playa Hollywood by Kiosk #4.
Same annoying youtubers who are now live streaming and the same old played out Hip Hop playlist, honestly how many times can we listen to the same Pop Smoke song "Doir" that fades into "All I Do Is Win" then fades into "I'm All the Way Up". The songs are so predictable that it just like back in the 90 when the TV Show went on commercial break, we knew exactly which commercials were going to play next after seeing the first commercial.
I would only recommend Cartagena to those that have a good rotation of chicas there that are reliable. For newcomers or mongers who like to "try once then get a new one" its going to be tough.

I noticed that the rates vary a lot depending on the place, time, and modality on where you meet the girls in Cartagena.
I had better luck at Santa Cattaleya, I am not a fan of Omnia although went there twice as well. The places above I also went to Androgeno aka Delirium, I am not a big fan of but I was hanging out with some guys that wanted to check out a hip-hop club.
I learned that the best deals you'd get on slow days and really late near closing time or past midnight. Buying drinks 1-2 drinks for a girl may help to get you a better deal if you speak Spanish.
I thought prices for just beers were exorbitant as they were charging anywhere between COP 20-25 k for a can of beer.
I had a couple of drinks with a 8 Blonde and her friend just to talk while my buddy was in the hunt talking to another girl at a table, I asked her about pricing and stuff related the business. She mentioned that the best deals you'd get really late on slow days (low season and Mondays-Wednesdays), and specially near end of the month as they need to pay rent and bills, most of these girls are from other cities and they need to pay for a room to stay in Cartagena.

OZ hotels, down by the beach, are guest friendly and no chica charge, per friends of mine who stayed there in January.
I stayed at Soy Local Centro Historico (right in the middle of all the action) and it was decent enough (smelled like Fabuloso cleaner, which can be overpowering), and they also were zero chica fees.
As for Airbnbs, there are some, I just don't have any links or personal knowledge of them.

I just got back and the amount of people I see in Centro and Getsemani who are not usually there is insane. I was going to post one big post of events that took place but how many times can people keep reading the same shit over and over. So once I go through my conversations with the chicas I will post up a few things.

Getting your card information stolen is a chance you take by using your physical card when you venture out to those areas. I recently had a similar discussion with my friend who popped in for a quick visit and was walking around with a wallet about 3" thick filled with cards.
I would suggest to load all your cards digitally into your smart phone such as Apple Pay or Google wallet as just about every location I went to accepted tap to pay except the beach. Use tap to pay as your main method and if it doesn't work then use the physical card.
Just remember if they steal or skim your card, that card is done until it's physically replaced. If they steal your phone you can immediately get a new digital card.

If you dispute the charge, your bank will cancel your card because you do not keep good control over your cards and they don't want the problems and hassle you create.

I still take Cartagena over Medellin and Bogota because of the sunshine and beaches. I can't / don't want to monger all day every day, so it's cool to have the beach vacation dynamic here plus the walled city and the history to enjoy while recharging.
I'm here right now. I have gone hunting in the walled city the last couple nights and been successful in getting numbers from the talent, but the police have made it harder than it used to be before the new mayor. There are groups of police stationed at all the streetcorners in the 3 block loop around where Dolce Vita and Delirium used to be. If too many WGs congregate anywhere at once the police blow their annoyingly loud whistles until everyone disperses. From what I can see, as long as everyone keeps moving the cops don't seem to care. It's obvious it's still happening, just more difficult. You have to get the number and move on, no loitering. Frankly I don't understand, because closing Dolce Vita and the others just forces what used to happen inside and out of sight onto the streets. So now you have a mix of WGs, mongers, and tourists all co-existing until around 11/12. There is a new club called Santa Cattaleya that is trying to be the new Dolce Vita but it's a few blocks away from that main loop so people might not know about it yet.
There are many guest-friendly AirBNBs available in CTG. I have always stayed there. They are nice and have very cooperative doormen who don't care about bringing in chicas, but who also look out for your security. There are also hotels who let in chicas free of charge (Oz hotels for example), but I hate going down to the reception to sign in the girls while families with kids watch it all go down. Obviously not an issue for late night fun but I like to have daytime action too.
Chica prices seem to be anywhere from 300 M-600 M COP per HR at night. Same prices for longer afternoon dates, around 4 hours of sex, drinking, and maybe going to the beach. (I mean 300-600 for the entire 4 hours).

I'm staying at the Oz Hotel myself with a friend. It's good to know the prices are between 300-600 k range, even though anything 500-600 k is too Gringo priced for my blood. Ok, by reading your post it appears that you have never been to Cartagena. 1 mistake new comers make is comparing Cartagena to another mongering destination. It is a month ago, but I will report from 10 days in Cartagena. I stayed in an apartment in Laguito, no problems to bring in girls. I went to Cartagena because of several thing: beautiful weather, sun, beaches, good food, historic city with the fort and the Old Town, some sightseeing. I have been in Cartagena several times before.
But also to enjoy the hobby! I have read about all the major changes during the last year with closing of Dolce Vita, Space etc. I have read and followed the recent reports so I knew quite well what to anticipate.
I started with a girl from Seeking. We had dinner on my second evening and we felt good together, so I spent 3 evenings with her. She was rather spoilt, wanted USD 300 per meet, we ended with 500 for 3 nights, based on the excellent tone we found on the first evening.
One girl from the streets of Laguito (400 K pesos), one girl from the internet (500 K pesos, and one girl from the streets of Old Town (500 K pesos). I was also out a couple of evenings without seeing anything that I wanted but there were girls around. I was too lazy to make special efforts.
I did not visit any of the strip clubs or other clubs outside the Old Town that has been reported recently. Cartagena is far from how it used to be, but still absolutely possible to enjoy the Hobby with a minimum of work.
All in all I enjoyed my time in Cartagena. But it definitely is different from how it was a few years back.

It seems like the Sosua crowd has pretty much fully made the location change to Cartagena. As such, you should already know what to expect when you go there. If you went through this already with Sosua, nothing should be new or surprise you.
I am in southern FL, so CTG is a quick, cheap flight for me. I have been there three times, but right now I don't plan to go back for many of the reasons cited. Having read the last few pages here certainly hasn't changed my mind, but I wanted to offer a few comments.
There has been some discussion of street vs. "escort" prices. Normally street prices are lower than incall / outcall prices, but IMO it is different in cities that are known sex tourism destinations. The guys everyone on here complain about aren't experienced hobbyists who do their research on local pricing and know how to use mileroticos and skokka. They are going to go to Centro because they have heard that is how you find girls. Because they aren't knowledgeable or experienced the girls who go there are going to exploit them. Prices are going to be more volatile in Centro (just look at the conversation on here!) because the prices the guys who go there are willing to pay are more volatile. The quality of girls on the street is also probably higher than in other cities because better-looking girls are going where the money is. So are the scammers. For me Centro is a tourist attraction and it is fine to check out the chicas, but unless you happen to hit the jackpot it isn't the best way to get laid.
My own experience on Mileroticos has been very good. The site has its own verification tools which are helpful if you use them. If you click on "Comentarios" you can find the girls who have comments / reviews to see if they are favorable, and you can also click on the reviewer to make sure he has other reviews and is less likely to be a shill. If you don't speak Spanish just be sure you are comfortable with Google Translate, and if you go to her place just be aware you may be in a neighborhood that is off the tourist map. There is also a good chance you are dealing with an agency.
There is at least one Colombian review board (doncolombia dot com) that may be useful in verifying girls and getting info on prices, performance, and services. Since the subject of local vs. Gringo pricing has been frequently discussed, here are local prices from a few reviews.

Small world. This same chick picked my pocket before in like 5 seconds while I was walking in Centro. I had just changed out $300 and my dumb ass was distracted texting another Chica on my phone just like this guy. Once I felt the tug and tapped my pocket all the money I just changed was gone. Small world. This same chick picked my pocket before in like 5 seconds while I was walking in Centro. I had just changed out $300 and my dumb ass was distracted texting another Chica on my phone just like this guy. Once I felt the tug and tapped my pocket all the money I just changed was gone. Thanks.If you watch your drinks and don't hang out in sketchy places, you would be fine. I would say your hotel or AirBNB security could help, you want them to take their ID or passports. They are less likely to attempt to rob you. I noticed that most incidents occur at places where they are not screening / or requesting ID form the girl. Some places would keep their ID or passports until they leave as well.
I would avoid tinder or the dating apps, harder to screen the girls... If the price sounds too good to be true...

Street Scene & Prices.
Cartagena's streets, especially at night, are filled with women offering sex — I'the estimate around 50–70 each night.
Prices I encountered:
Lowest: 200 k COP.
Highest: 400 k COP (usually women with implants charging more to recover surgery costs).
Because I'm tall and Caucasian, many assumed I had more money, so negotiation was always important — either for a lower price or more time / rounds for the same price.
Most street girls were Venezuelan, though some Colombians were around (I personally found them less attractive).
Safety.
The historic center and Getsemaní felt safe and enjoyable.
However, outside tourist areas can be risky. For example:
I walked from the center towards "el covento de la popa" and from Avenida Pedro de Heredia I took a mototaxi up to "El Convento de la Popa. ".
On the hill, the driver tried to set me up for a robbery (told me to get off, his friend was coming).
Luckily, two other motos appeared, I stopped them, explained, and they escorted me back to the main road (Avenida Pedro de Heredia).
Advice: Don't explore barrios alone, even during the day, if you clearly look foreign.
Other Encounters.
Through locals: I met some guys in the historic center. After a couple of days, one brought me a 19-year-old from Blas de Lezo. Cost was 150 k (probably split 100 k for her, 50 k for him). I also paid 50 k transport and gave him a 50 k "gift. " This felt like a much better "value" — more like a regular Colombian girl, not the typical street worker.
Boat Tour: On a night-lights bay tour, I met a group of 9 women from Bogotá. Great vibes — we danced, "perreó," and had fun at the club, but they left early, so nothing further happened.
Ecuadorians: I met two ladies from Ecuador (one very attractive), but they were leaving on a flight just three hours later, so we couldn't continue.

Finally managed to visit Cartagena and would like to share my experiences to hopefully help other newbies with some of the logistics. Yes the customs line at arrivals was extremely long, 2-1/2 hours to be exact and it seemed to get worse for the flights that landed after mine. They only had 3 officers working the non Colombian citizen line. After that Uber was pretty fast and I was on my way into town within 5 minutes of clearing customs. I stayed at the Oz in Bocagrande and I can confirm it is chica friendly, they make a copy of the girl's ID and have you sign the copy before she comes in. When she leaves they call your room to make sure everything is cool before they let her out. Its clean and has very basic lodging, I got a standard room and its small and had no windows but the 6th floor terrace is available 24 hours and you can bring your drinks and hang out up there. Across the street is a 24 hour cafe if you need late night beers or food.
It's about a 8-10 minute walk to Hollywood Beach and be prepared for the onslaught of vendors, after you say no enough times they start to kind of leave you alone. There is a kiosk called Caliwood and as long as you're buying drinks or food from them you can use the chairs under the blue umbrellas for free. If you want to be closer to the water then you can rent from one of the many people offering them. The bathrooms cost 2000 Colombian pesos to use which is around 51 cents. Friday and Saturday the girls showed up around 4, got changed into swimwear and started to walk around. Unlike Mabs in Rio or the Cocal in Jaco I found most of the girls in Cartagena to be very unaggressive, even if you made eye contact they would keep walking unless you waved them over and asked them to stop and talk to you. The beach closes at 6 so you collect the numbers within that 2 hour window and you will see a lot of the same girls later in the evening in the walled city. For cash I always used a Bancolombia ATM and I used the one near the hotel twice and the one in the walled city once and had no issues.
The walled city has chicas walking around, I never got there before midnight so I don't know what time they start but things were always in full swing when I arrived. If you want to take it as negative criticism, then by all means do so but don't call it "sharing" if someone asks you about certain things about what you posted and instead of giving a straightforward answer your response is to "you can look it up on Orbitz" like Orbitz is going to tell us if Oz charged you a fee per guest or was there a limit on guests per day as the hotel rules change all the time and what wasn't policy last week can be changed the next week. For example, the place I usually stay at in El Laguito was always free visitors, then in March they changed to 10 mil per wrist band for visitors if they entered before 8 pm, then 2 months later months they changed it to 60 mill per guest no matter what time they enter. So, a little up to date information on Oz policy would be helpful and considered sharing.

Second mistake was getting an Air b&b that does not allow guests.
