First, I see photos/reports weekly about guys waiting 2, 3, 4 hours in line. So, you only waiting one hour is great for you. I go thru the Colombian line and wait 5 minutes, so I'm not bitching about it from my perspective, just wondering if some guys noticed these type of things in the downfall stage of other destinations. It is reasonable to think timing matters so context is important. The wait time will be short for the first in line, it will be long for the last one when you have 1000 arriving at the same time. I always fly thru Bogota with about 1 hour connection time. Have not missed a flight yet.
The ones with patience will be rewarded. It takes more time to find reasonable value. As others have reported that you can get girls from Lleras for Facebook price. Some of the more savvy ones will set a date at 7 PM, then they go to Lleras to work after the date. Some Facebook girls also work at Lleras, and they do the same thing. They will be in better negotiating position because they have already made enough for the day. This is the happy hour discount.

I find this hard to believe. Usually escorts in the Bay Area are charging $400 per hour for GFE and I have never had a girl ask for that much in Medellin. But there are so many variable in your post that it is possible.No, you are right. It's not quite the same. The comparison I was making is that being local I'm able to establish connections like the guys in Medellin who have hotties for 200 k. Thing is in the USA, when even a young woman says something like, "I feel like I am not being treated well" the whole world is supposed to come to a stop. Man, I have seen my gal and the other mothers kick their daughters asses when they are out of line. They do not play. And it is not just me, but the respect for men is huge. Outside of the cheap prices in Centro in Medellin and Santa Fe in Bogota, I really did not think there was anything that great about the hooker market in Colombia. Paraguay and Brazil are much better, and Argentina was better. It might not be now. The influx of Venezuelans into Colombia was like a pussy tsunami but that has slowed from a gusher to a trickle. When you step out of the hooker market and meet the so called "regular women", that is where IMO Colombia shines.

I'm new to Medellin and just commenting on the types of quotes I'm getting from women which are still lower than the US on average, by approximately half. I have had no luck on FB. I'm going to start sticking to the 250-300 k offers. I think partly the reason the quotes are so high is they know I'm a foreigner who is not in Medellin yet. I expect that when I arrive and am ready to meet on that day or the day after, they will accept lower offers because it's tangible.

I think the overall trend is that Medellin is going in the wrong direction. Too many weekend warriors coming in and ruining it. That being said, if you go outside of the main tourist places where the gringos and passport Bros are afraid to go then I think good value can still be found.
You have to go into the barrios like Santo Domingo popular and bello to find down to earth paisa chicas. You have to speak Spanish and know the local lingo. You have to incorporate yourself into the Colombian culture and basically become a local then you will find the value.
But if you are just going to el Poblado then you will find the rip off artists that are targeting the gringo tourists. Centro may still have cheap sex but mostly Venecas not Paisas and I don't think it's as good as it used to be.
There's seems to be two parallel markets evolving in medallo, one geared toward the weekend warriors and one geared toward the locals. You will just have to know in which pond to go fishing to find what you're looking for, you don't go to Cancun to catch your king salmon..Now, trouble maker gringos hung around at the Veracruz area. A few month ago, an obnoxious redneck guy and a Russian guy had a fight, and the former was arrested by police. They are causing many problems there, and locals and working girls detest them.

Part of the reason is the disparity in living costs between the two areas.
I think most of us could use a personal assistant or head secretary type, and I would advertise that. Every time you see a really hot woman, I would hand her a business card. Put an ad on indeed. If you find a woman who is not attractive to you but has a huge social network, I would consider hiring her and let her set up interviews for you. Medellin has a lot of unversities and most of the women in them have financial issues as well. I met a coed working three jobs because her dad was sick with Covid and he could not help her any longer. She worked at a call center most nights. After that long line, I am usually tired and just want to take that white taxi into town for 120 mil. Some say to take the bus to save money but that is more time and effort and after waiting in line for 2 hours, I just want to get to my place as soon as possible.
There is Wi-Fi in the airport so you can surf the Internet while waiting in line. I don't know if you can buy a SIM card or data at the airport. I usually buy data later that day or the next day.
First day I usually hit the supermarket to stock up on stuff for my hotel / Abnb. Girls like drinks and snacks when they get to your place.
I will be here for a month or so and am open to meeting others but I am an older gentlemen and am more compatible with men in 40 to 70 age range and not younger bros in their 20's who like to party at nightclubs. Get to Colombia, get your bearings meet some girls in public if you're doing the internet dating site stuff. Get feel for them in a casual public venue that way you get their vibe, see what they look like and how they act. If you want to create some type of longer term relationship I think it's hard for short term vacations. The guys that are successful are their months at a time or live there. Hello- With all due respect you can't tell me what I know.I can tell you that do not know the motivation of every woman on seeking. In a FOMO world, it is a lot easier to look at the fees they charge and say the women on there are no different than anyone else. Alright, so another great trip to Medellin, this time for "Semana Santa" yes, Holy week, from Palm Sunday through day after Easter Sunday, what a TERRIBLE time to go, right? No boys, it was alllllrrriiighhhhhtttt! .
Every single day there was plenty to choose from in Lleras and on Calle 10, even if it was down from peak times when I visited last summer.
So, that said, here we go:
Saturday - 4/12 - BOTERO VERY POOR QUALITY SELECTION. Not at all what it was last summer. Out of 100-200 girls milling about Botero, the side street down by the church, the main drag behind the church and back around, seriously only 6-10 were above a 5. Maybe. Alright, so another great trip to Medellin, this time for "Semana Santa" yes, Holy week, from Palm Sunday through day after Easter Sunday, what a TERRIBLE time to go, right? No boys, it was alllllrrriiighhhhhtttt! .

Saturday - 4/12 - BOTERO VERY POOR QUALITY SELECTION. Not at all what it was last summer. Out of 100-200 girls milling about Botero, the side street down by the church, the main drag behind the church and back around, seriously only 6-10 were above a 5. Maybe. As someone who is "True to this" and definitely "Not new to this," here is how you can tell if the broad was ever planning to meet with you: any chica that is asking you for money before you arrive there, all you have to say to them is the following:

Now, to her, it may sound like this is something you are open to doing in the future (you should never ever send money), once you have gotten to know her in person, but it is actually to invoke the following two scenarios:
A) She is either going to say "esta bien" and hope that door remains open in the future once the two of you have actually met once you travel there.
B) She is going to push even harder by telling you, "Oh, it's only $30. That is nothing to you!" Or "It's very cheap (you are a foreigner, so you should be able to afford it)".
Scenario "be" is your strongest indicator that she never intended to meet you to begin with. It is just to initiate the process of you sending her small amounts at first, which will undoubtedly become larger requests.
Here are two ways I handle Scenario be:
1) I block the broad because I realize I would never end up seeing her in person because the game was just to try to get money out of you before you got there and end up looking like Boo Boo the Fool when you do arrive and realize she has blocked you or is not responding to your messages (since you already gave her what she was after).
2) I save all of those messages and I will send other chicas "wall of shame" screenshots of other chicks sending me the same type of begging messages. I even go so far as to say ""Casi todos LOS dias ("almost every day. The system is changing my spelling) alguien me manda este tipo de mensaje en Facebook. Es como si tuvieran un guion que dice 'copia esto why envaselo a LOS gringos!
If she doesn't revert to Scenario A, then see Scenario B1.
