First, I see photos/reports weekly about guys waiting 2, 3, 4 hours in line. So, you only waiting one hour is great for you. I go thru the Colombian line and wait 5 minutes, so I'm not bitching about it from my perspective, just wondering if some guys noticed these type of things in the downfall stage of other destinations. It is reasonable to think timing matters so context is important. The wait time will be short for the first in line, it will be long for the last one when you have 1000 arriving at the same time. I always fly thru Bogota with about 1 hour connection time. Have not missed a flight yet.
The ones with patience will be rewarded. It takes more time to find reasonable value. As others have reported that you can get girls from Lleras for Facebook price. Some of the more savvy ones will set a date at 7 PM, then they go to Lleras to work after the date. Some Facebook girls also work at Lleras, and they do the same thing. They will be in better negotiating position because they have already made enough for the day. This is the happy hour discount.

I find this hard to believe. Usually escorts in the Bay Area are charging $400 per hour for GFE and I have never had a girl ask for that much in Medellin. But there are so many variable in your post that it is possible.No, you are right. It's not quite the same. The comparison I was making is that being local I'm able to establish connections like the guys in Medellin who have hotties for 200 k. Thing is in the USA, when even a young woman says something like, "I feel like I am not being treated well" the whole world is supposed to come to a stop. Man, I have seen my gal and the other mothers kick their daughters asses when they are out of line. They do not play. And it is not just me, but the respect for men is huge. Paraguay and Brazil are much better, and Argentina was better. It might not be now. The influx of Venezuelans into Colombia was like a pussy tsunami but that has slowed from a gusher to a trickle. When you step out of the hooker market and meet the so called "regular women", that is where IMO Colombia shines.

I'm new to Medellin and just commenting on the types of quotes I'm getting from women which are still lower than the US on average, by approximately half. I have had no luck on FB. I'm going to start sticking to the 250-300 k offers. I think partly the reason the quotes are so high is they know I'm a foreigner who is not in Medellin yet. I expect that when I arrive and am ready to meet on that day or the day after, they will accept lower offers because it's tangible.

I think the overall trend is that Medellin is going in the wrong direction. Too many weekend warriors coming in and ruining it. That being said, if you go outside of the main tourist places where the gringos and passport Bros are afraid to go then I think good value can still be found.
You have to go into the barrios like Santo Domingo popular and bello to find down to earth paisa chicas. You have to speak Spanish and know the local lingo. You have to incorporate yourself into the Colombian culture and basically become a local then you will find the value.
But if you are just going to el Poblado then you will find the rip off artists that are targeting the gringo tourists. Centro may still have cheap sex but mostly Venecas not Paisas and I don't think it's as good as it used to be.
There's seems to be two parallel markets evolving in medallo, one geared toward the weekend warriors and one geared toward the locals. You will just have to know in which pond to go fishing to find what you're looking for, you don't go to Cancun to catch your king salmon..Now, trouble maker gringos hung around at the Veracruz area. A few month ago, an obnoxious redneck guy and a Russian guy had a fight, and the former was arrested by police. They are causing many problems there, and locals and working girls detest them.

Part of the reason is the disparity in living costs between the two areas.
I think most of us could use a personal assistant or head secretary type, and I would advertise that. Every time you see a really hot woman, I would hand her a business card. Put an ad on indeed. If you find a woman who is not attractive to you but has a huge social network, I would consider hiring her and let her set up interviews for you. If a woman approaches another woman with a sugar proprosal, it is a lot less creepy than if you do so.

Colombia is a Catholic country, and a lot of the women feel guilty and will not get abortions. 86% of children in Colombia are born to single moms. Child support is rare, and 100% of the single moms want to spend more time with their new borns. Being a SB allows them to do that.
Medellin has a lot of unversities and most of the women in them have financial issues as well. I met a coed working three jobs because her dad was sick with Covid and he could not help her any longer. She worked at a call center most nights. After that long line, I am usually tired and just want to take that white taxi into town for 120 mil. Some say to take the bus to save money but that is more time and effort and after waiting in line for 2 hours, I just want to get to my place as soon as possible.
There is Wi-Fi in the airport so you can surf the Internet while waiting in line. I don't know if you can buy a SIM card or data at the airport. I usually buy data later that day or the next day.
First day I usually hit the supermarket to stock up on stuff for my hotel / Abnb. Girls like drinks and snacks when they get to your place.
I will be here for a month or so and am open to meeting others but I am an older gentlemen and am more compatible with men in 40 to 70 age range and not younger bros in their 20's who like to party at nightclubs. Get to Colombia, get your bearings meet some girls in public if you're doing the internet dating site stuff. Get feel for them in a casual public venue that way you get their vibe, see what they look like and how they act. If you want to create some type of longer term relationship I think it's hard for short term vacations. The guys that are successful are their months at a time or live there. I met my gal when she was 32 and she has one of those crazy metabolisms such that she will never be fat. Her mother is still thin and a looker. We hung out with a lawyer friend of hers who is in her 50's and moves like she is in her 20's.
When we saw Shakira, what shocked me was she would do these crazy hard dance routines and would not take a break. I was like, why are you not breathing hard? Why are you not sweating? She was a fucking machine on stage and she is pushing 50 I think.

Hello- With all due respect you can't tell me what I know.I can tell you that do not know the motivation of every woman on seeking. In a FOMO world, it is a lot easier to look at the fees they charge and say the women on there are no different than anyone else. Alright, so another great trip to Medellin, this time for "Semana Santa" yes, Holy week, from Palm Sunday through day after Easter Sunday, what a TERRIBLE time to go, right? No boys, it was alllllrrriiighhhhhtttt! .
Every single day there was plenty to choose from in Lleras and on Calle 10, even if it was down from peak times when I visited last summer.
So, that said, here we go:
Saturday - 4/12 - BOTERO VERY POOR QUALITY SELECTION. Not at all what it was last summer. Alright, so another great trip to Medellin, this time for "Semana Santa" yes, Holy week, from Palm Sunday through day after Easter Sunday, what a TERRIBLE time to go, right? No boys, it was alllllrrriiighhhhhtttt! .

Saturday - 4/12 - BOTERO VERY POOR QUALITY SELECTION. Not at all what it was last summer. Out of 100-200 girls milling about Botero, the side street down by the church, the main drag behind the church and back around, seriously only 6-10 were above a 5. Maybe. It seemed like it wouldn't be too awkward to do there. Also it has an amazing full gym with bench and squat racks free-weights and resistance and cardio machines. I had it completely to myself.
• Day 4: Monsoons and Flaky Girls •.

Again, covered in my loooong ass trip report on days 5 and 6 but the girl I met on tinder turned out to be a total civilian also had a the time of her life, never mentioned money or marriage and cried multiple times that I had to leave. Okay, it's Day 7 now. Crazy. Time flies. The Tinder girl was fantastic but had her leave after 2. 5 days. I got sick of the translation app all the time. But no complaints whatsoever. Colombia was fun. Definitely could see myself going back. Met a girl with a legit Visa who is coming to visit next month. No problems with safety, but met plenty of people who said they had been drugged or know others who had. The one thing they seemed to have in common was hard core drinking and drugs. And a nice meal at a high end restaurant for two, with drinks, was only like $36 to $40 usd. At the time I thought I was spending at least $50 or $60 usd. Weird when you actually are spending less than you even expect. Conversion rates seemed to favor USD at this time. My only regret is there are a couple of women I could have met up with and just didn't coordinate well enough and looking back at some of the photos they sent I've got some remorse.

Haven Hotel was pretty great. The rooftop bar and pool is kinda small, but they have parties every Friday and Saturday night with DJ, and pool party on Sundays, and it attracts a lot of native Colombian women. It also attracts alot of foreigners not even staying there, but who come specifically for the vibe. It's a great place to meet a lot of cool people and build connections. But as others have mentioned, stay true to your safe space. Don't venture out with others until you actually know / trust them. It's better to stay safe in your bubble then to venture out care free with people you have just met.
Fortunately, by staying close to my comfort zone, not dropping my guard, I never felt unsafe one time. Again, I've said it before, but I also have a good deal of street smarts, and if you don't have that naturally, you're going to need to be cautious, bc for naive people you can easily be taken advantage of.

There was a time, about a year ago I think when they wanted you to buy a whole table and they wouldn't even let you sit down when you were alone, sipping your beer. Luckily they changed that policy, although when you sit down at an empty table they might ask you to leave of course when they need the table for a group paying for it.
I'm sure La Isla is not for everybody, it has some downsides, mostly that it's expensive (cover, drinks, tipping the girls for lap dances and of course the 600 k room, it quickly adds up) and if you like natural, this might not be the perfect spot, since there are a lot of enhanced bodies here (which I happen to love) But the great thing here is that you can get a pretty good idea of the girl's 'energy' before taking her to the room because it's of course a strip club and they give lap dances (not all of them do though). For example I think it was last Thursday when I had my eyes set on a really hot one but when she 'danced' for me, she mostly even just stood in front of me, instead of riding me, no way that that's going to be any good in bed. I've seen girls in Lleras as early as 10 AM on a Sunday. Super cute girl in a schoolgirl type outfit. I like it for a 2-5 PM stint because I can roll over, sit at a table in the shaded areas, drink a cold beer and scope the selection, maybe make a lap or two around the block behind the church, see what's available. Usually there's something to choose from, but not always. This past trip quality and quantity were down on previous visits. The latest I've been out in Botero is 10 PM and truly, there was nothing much going on at that time. Even the little strip clubs down the street from Hotel Nutibara were the-e-the DEAD. So yeah, maybe stay in Botero no later than 7-8 PM is a good move. By that point Lleras will be starting to get lively and I'd head over there.
