I am coming to ECU. Going to be going to Quito first. I speak a passable spanish. I am not going to spend all my time in the brothels of Quito. I would like to see the country. Mostly I will go to Guayaquiland other parts of the coast.

I know that the mongering scene is better in Quito, but I like the beach and am looking to explore Guayaquil. However, what I have heard on this forum is that Guayaquil is a dump, so I may be moving on to Salinas.

Here is the HELP I need:

I have been contacting and chatting to hotties who live in Guayaquil. Many have given me there phone number.

QUESTION: I don't have time for several dattes worth of courtship. I want to get laid on the first date. Should I even bother hooking up with these girls?

Food is beter and cheaper in Guayaquil and the coast in general than the sierra/quito
Quito is like a ghost town after 10, I think the cold and the high altitude make people go home and sleep more.

The really good looking Quito women are mostly from the higher society spanish descendants and are not quick or easy pickups.

I just hit some chongos today in Quito and had a good time, both the girls I did were from the coast.

I say try them both out.

I would contact the Guayaquil gals that you have been chatting to can't hurt.
Salina is either JAM PACKED or DEAD. It is a place to take the pussy to not to go get the pussy. I am not at all impressed by the non-pro Guayaquil action. While it is true that GYE women are better dressed and sexier, getting them into the sack is a big challenge. GYE is the largest city in ECU and as such it is the ¨"NEw York city" of ECU. The women from the middle and lower classes talkinanextemelyfastspanish running all their words together. They will not slow down, despite repeated pleas. They show no mercy to the spanish challenged. The upper class will talk in a slowed down spanish.

I have found that there are many well off women in GYE so my being my being a well off gringo is of little advantage. Furthermore, I have that GYE do not keep to their committments for dates.

I am sure that in GYE I can meet and mate all the fat dumpy 35 year olds that I can handle..But I am after slender, attractive women 18-30. PReferably a poor to middle class girl.

I thought we came to the conclusion that guayaquil was NOT a good place for mongering. Besides calle six and a few other places mentioned I thought this was a dead thread. Now Im reading about $30 escorts...hmmm.

People from ecuador are really conservative and they use the dollar so we are no mystery to them.

We take many risks in our hobby.

Risk Number 3 is the greatest risk while mongering at Calle 18 and in all of the "value" chongos in Guayaquil.

(I have only mongered in value chongos, not in the hi-end places like SuperMarket or Isla De Tesoro in GYE)

Calle 18
Everyone in town knows where this place is. If the taxista says he doesnt know where it is - he is lying - it is just because he is is too afraid to take you.

This place is open 7 days a week (yes even on Sundays)
Hours: Midday to 8pm. Because of the fights and robberies there, by a recently enacted law it most close at 8pm.

The std price is $6 - $7 per session. 100 girls. 400 or so Drunk Ecuatorian guys, very few sessioning. This is basically a huge closed off street, an open air bar where lower to middle class Ecuatorianos stand and sit around and get drunk and sometimes partake of the ladies. Most of the men stand at the entrances to the brothels oogling the girls who are sitting behind the "cages".

The going rule is a session is "Hasta terminare" (until you finish). Not all girls observe this rule, and will ask for more money after 15 minutes. They give very brief BJs, just enuff to get you hard so that that can climb on top of you and get you off. Many will even try to insert a limp penis just to get you off and get you out of there. If you want a longer BJ - you will have to pay more.

You can find attractive girls there. Out of the 100 or so girls, 8 or so are hotties.

Here is the problem: ACCORDING TO THE GUAYAQUILLENOS THEMSELVES, GYE IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT IS MORE DANGEROUS IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER (BECAUSE YOU ARE RICH). IT IS EVEN MORE DANGEROUS IF YOU ARE SOLO. IT IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS TO WALK THE STREETS AT NITE. (Except for the heavily patrolled areas around the tourist hotels - even then I wouldnt risk it)

There is good cheap P4P action in GYE. Unfortunately the value brothels are located in the risky parts of town. there are rarely any police at Calle 18, so you are really at the mercy of the crowd. If you are a solo gringo, you are without other members of your "tribe".

It seems to me that prices and quality are the same in Quito. And that safety is somewhat higher in Quito.

I would avoid the value chongos in GYE. In fact, avoid GYE altogether.

If you HAVE TO BE in GYE (For some other reason): follow the advice of the tourist guidebooks, if you travel at nite, take a taxi from door-to-door. Do not walk the streets (even for a block) unless it is in a heavily guarded tourist area (Zona Rosa is the only exception I can think of.) Always try to have a freind with you - there is safety in numbers.

GYE is NOT worth the risk to your personal safety.

Guayaquil has the best women and food in Ecuador.

Of course it is dangerous, most large S. American cities are.

I used to get laid all the time in Guayaquil at the clubs and later chongos where I'd collect the numbers if they gave good service, usually did, and then later I could call them to meet me at a motel. Longer time more relaxed same dollars or a bit more. I have walked all over the central area and never had any problem, of course I carry myself well and am fairly large. Helps in some ways but on the other hand it makes you stand out.

This BS about GYE is full of rich bit*** is nonsense. In the entire country of Ecuador there aren't many rich women and I sure as hell doubt you are running into them and you sure aren't on calle6.

Sorry I'm not uptodate on the scene there as haven't lived there for sometime.

Last time I did some mongering there was first of this year and I ended up at the Port area. There are a bunch of clubs lining the main street where you can go in and drink and dance with freelancers and pull the girls out. Also a few disco chongos there. Plenty of cheap hotels there and you could easily make a 2-3 night there.

Also across the river in Duran on the main highway right hand side as you leave town there is a group of LARGE Chongos. Stopped in there and fukd a shiny little teenie as I headed home.

The entire Costal area is full of chongos, any small/medium sized town has them. Ended up making it halveway home and stopping in another town, another chongo, another teenie

If you can't hang with the big dogs stay on the porch.

I am in Ecuador until about the 4th and am planning on taking a trip to the cost or possibly to the Oriente. I'm just going to drive around looking at Ecuador's amazing scenery, eating it's good cheap food, stop in at the chongos and keep the nuts drained and stay in some of the cool little places.

FWIW in general all of the Costal and Oriente areas have chongos in practically every town of any size. The Andes area is a lot more hit or misss except the larger cities.

In the Oriente I have been laid in Lago Agrio, Coca, ShuShufindi, Tena, Macas, Puyo. That is pretty much everywhere except Baeza. Guess I need to knock that one out also. These are pretty well all in the 5-10 dollar range and no telling what you will find in them. Usually there are at least a one or two worthy of at least suknonmycok and have seen a few stunners there also. Just travel really low keyed and I have never had any problems anywhere. But Quito. And that was a vehicular deal.

I'll start documenting the places more as before I have allways just stumbled across them and checked them out when I had time and or was with someone I could or by myself.

The entire El Imperio - el Gato complex in Duran is closed. What a pity.

There are only a few "nite clubs" (more like bars) that are open in Duran. Quality and selection is poor.

Haven't tried to gather this type of info before as I was never concerned about writing reports. I'd say in the 15-30 minute range though. I usually can do what I want to do in that time which is a bbbj with photos of me stuffing her mouth, a quick banging her doggie and on her back legs up and then a CIM o COHF finish. Allways ask first about the photos and if they don't want to play I'll get another unless I just really want to do her......... as was this real innocent teenie that I did in the Duran (east of GYE) chongo back first of year.

Jobs wise here I'd say most people do work at least semi regularly but here is only maybe %5 of males with good jobs another %5-10 with jobs in the middle class $400-1000 a month range and the rest %65-75 in the $150-300 range with the rest unemployed.

Quito is too cold for me, but "Tungs" reports and chongo locations are many. GYA has good weather, but doesn't have as many chongos.

After two trips to quito I decided its not worth dealing with the altitude sickness for what I was getting. If there wasnt that problem I still might go back for the hell of it but I wouldnt expect much.

Im at the point where Im wanting a different pfp experience and although I dont want to pay alot I feel I will need to upgrade to keep it intresting.

Everyone must go to quito at least once. With tungs list and the cheap costs you would be a fool not too(or just not intrested).

I stayed there about 3 weeks. I was there alone and I travelled by bus alone. I went alone down South by taxi and then I just picked up a bus to go back to the centre. Suburbs in the South are dangerous for tourists. I went a few times in the good suburbs in the North of Guaya and no problem.
If you go out at night, just take a taxi, that you call in advance. Personnaly I don't really like to go out at night time. Avoid buses or walking around at night, except perhaps in the good streets in the center and in some good suburbs in the North.
I didn't have the feeling that Guaya was so dangerous....If you follow the rules mentionned above, you won't have problems.
Don't forget that Guaya used to be more dangerous. For ex. just to go from the airport to the center, you really risked of being stolen or kiddnaped. That's not the case anymore...
Furthermore taxis are cheap in Guaya....You can go nearly everywhere for 5 USD. If they ask more, they try to ripp you off. To go to the calle 18, it's 3 USD. Of course this is the price during the day, at night expect the double.

Before anyone asks or sends me PM asking I will let everyone know that the city of Duran has decided to shut all "chongos" down because of the mall opening near the outside of the city. "Imperio" "El Gato" "Escorpion" and the 2 in the center of Duran have been shut down, all the owners have complained to the city to deaf ears only the owner of the biggest one "Imperio" has opened a new local in the Km 7 1/2 Via Duran Tambo it is now called "Venus" but it's a far cry from the "Imperio" which had like 25 rooms downstaris plus and upstairs lounge which was more high class the new establishment only has 15 rooms and no 2nd floor. I will post photos of the new local in the upcoming week.Boy that sucks.

They were allways going and had some good talent. It was a good place to go even from guayaquil as it was open during the day and you could go there and have a bite to eat talk to the hos a couple of beers and fuck a couple of them. It was on the way back to quito also so I'd pass by there on the way out of town.

Oh I forgot one of the nicaragua fucks in my previous post replying to meat loaf. The landlady. That's right the sexy motherfucking landlady, how did I forget her. She was mid 30's had a gorgeous face and the prettiest long black hair. Her and the wife were friends and one of the times the wife went back to ecuador for a couple of weeks she calls up the day she left and asks for the wife. I'm like well she's just left to ecuador, thought you knew that? (she did) then she asks if I'd like to go out to eat/dance. I'm like a well I guess so. We go and do the formalities of a couple of drinks and whatever it was then end up in a motel fucking our brains out. I did my best to rock her world. She wouldn't let me take photos though. Anyhow I was getting fucked silly in nicaragua and the job I had there I just had to spend about 20-30 hours a week on and had a free reign to schedule work when I wanted so I could get out of the house anytime, take long lunchs and have little fuckfests. Great place lots of fond memories.

I'm from Guayaquil and lived there numerous years and travel there frequently, so here's my opinion.

Guayaquil is no longer that dangerous as described by other posters. A few years ago you would get robbed (not frequently) coming out of the airport (mostly Ecuadoreans who would bring thousand of dollars and people who would inform neighbors -the wrong people). I've never been robbed, my parents or any sibling has been robbed - and this is because we don't carry thousands of dollars in cash to Ecuador like other people !

A few years ago people driving expensive cars would get ambushed and get kidnapped and dropped somewhere far away. Also, people would follow you after taking money from an ATM and rob you a few blocks away, or rob if you are seen carrying a laptop, etc.. Nowadays you can definately transit thru most places in the Northern part of Guayaquil without any problems - except Sauces, La Alborada, Samanes and the Terminal Terrestre area. Hanging around the "suburbio" is crazy, as this is a low class neighborhood and if you appear to have money or are carrying anything expensive (gold, watch, sneakers) most likely you will get robbed (especially at night when there aren't too many people walking the streets)

The few precautions to take in Guayaquil, like any other city would be to take taxis at night, never go in a bus at night, or walk in suburbio or city centre alone at night. In some parts of the city centre, if you look anything foreign and presumed to have some money, most likely you will get robbed.
Areas in the city centre which are safe are Malecon, Cerro Santa Ana, some areas in 9 de Octubre. Also, whenever I've taken out money I normally use the ATM's in malls or regularly frequented places, and I will not exit immediately (especially after withdrawing amounts higher than 1,000+).

Most of friends have been robbed (car kidnappings, assaulting bus paxs) before, but now it's limited.

Also, GFE is Guayaquil would be difficult if you don't speak spanish and would be quite different from DR or Peru, where they are more impressed by foreigners. I've traveled to DR and Peru, and I can tell you that both places are so easy to meet women; however, if you leave outside of Guayaquil and Quito, you will meet amazing women looking for a serious relationship. In Guayaquil you can still meet women looking for serious relationships, especially for women above 26+ and are still single, as they are more committed than a 20-24 yr old who prefers to party, act like spoiled brat (applies to rich girls) and usually take a while to put out..

I would never suggest anyone to disregard Guayaquil to come visit this beautiful city. But if you're only interested in mongering, I wouldn't suggest Guayaquil- rather Quito as the choices are far greater of chongos and outcall service and it's inexpensive.

Any large city in South-America has it riff raffs. Some are worse. Then others; but I would not get paranoid over guayaquill. So better stay low profile. Leave ye rolex at home. And certainly NOT walk arround with tons of cash bucks like Elvis said;.) or with a new flashy digicamera.

Avoid shaddy barrios after dark. And take a cab. I always keep my wits about me if I am on a girl hunt. So that means NO booz. And NO weed;.)

If you stick to the rules you should be doing fine.

I myself am under the spell of the many pretty hot assed babes I see in guayaquill. :.) Besides the climate is also way better then cold Quito:.)

Don't forget to carry a xerox copy of your passport;.) I would leave the original at the hotel.

I am responding to your GYE comments in the GYE forum. Actually, I didnt say that the mongering in GYE sucked. In fact there are some great looking chicas there. I just said that there were limited venues in GYE for value mongering that were SAFE. I have only one session in Quito, and of course, am not qualified to give any opinion on Quito mongering. As well, I only speak to value mongering as I have not sampled the other options (strip clubs, take out, out call) that are in GYE.

Value Mongering Options in Central GYE

Calle 18 = Great value mongering. Tons of chicas. UNSAFE: Because you are out in public in an unguarded area with 200 drunk ecudoareanos. Every single guayaquilleno told me that this place is dangerous. There is no security and no one to pat down the patrons for weapons. Stabbings are a regular occurrence. This is a pity because the selection is awesome and the price is right. If you must go: 1) don't dress gringo 2) don't go alone: bring an ecudorean companion or two. 3) Go only in the daytime. 4) Don't carry any valuables.

Habana Club - (Septima y General Gomez or General Lopez?) - Too far from the centro and mostly fatties and old hags.

City of Duran - All the clubs are closed

Salamane - (Quito and Velez in GYE Centro) - By far the best option - mostly young chicas, many chubbies and many beauties. Price $12.50 for 25 minutes. They pat you down at the door - so security is not a problem. Be sure to take a cab to and from this place and stop right at the door.

Was in Guayaquil several months ago and hit several clubs of which I do not recall the names. Upon leaving one of them one of the guys outside I started a conversation with and he gave told me about a place called the Stockmarket. I was running out of options and figured what the hell I would give it a try. We left the city headed for Duran, through Duran and up to a large iron gate with a "guard" using that term loosely as it was some 20's looking kid with a walkie talkie. he opened the gate and closed it behind us as we started down a very dimly lit dirt road lined with fields and not much else to speak of. At this point I was really starting to get nervous as to where in the middle of freaking nowhere I was going. Through another gate yet again still going but noticing fairly nice houses on a coastline and finally up to a 10-12 ft cement wall with razor wire and yet another gate. As the gate opened to reveal a beautiful villa with quite a grand looking entrance. As I sauntered inside there were approximately 12-15 girls and one other guy, the girls looked to be about 6-8 in quality and price was $160 for 2 hours upstairs. All the girls were latin and light to medium skin tone. Lets just say my next trip back I will be heading straight there in a hurry!

I am responding to your GYE comments in the GYE forum. Actually, I didnt say that the mongering in GYE sucked. In fact there are some great looking chicas there. I just said that there were limited venues in GYE for value mongering that were SAFE. I have only one session in Quito, and of course, am not qualified to give any opinion on Quito mongering. Value Mongering Options in Central GYE

Calle 18 = Great value mongering. Tons of chicas. UNSAFE: Because you are out in public in an unguarded area with 200 drunk ecudoareanos. Every single guayaquilleno told me that this place is dangerous. There is no security and no one to pat down the patrons for weapons. Stabbings are a regular occurrence. This is a pity because the selection is awesome and the price is right. If you must go: 1) don't dress gringo 2) don't go alone: bring an ecudorean companion or two. 3) Go only in the daytime. 4) Don't carry any valuables.

Habana Club - (Septima y General Gomez or General Lopez?) - Too far from the centro and mostly fatties and old hags.

City of Duran - All the clubs are closed

Salamane - (Quito and Velez in GYE Centro) - By far the best option - mostly young chicas, many chubbies and many beauties. Price $12.50 for 25 minutes. They pat you down at the door - so security is not a problem. Be sure to take a cab to and from this place and stop right at the door.

I have had a shitload of questions about this establishment most people can't seem to find it, and truth be told it is hard to find it had wooden doors with no discernable signs outside to give away it's location it is located in Junin and Panama you will know which establishment it's by the amount of dressed up security outside of the wooden doors. Here is a picture that I took during the day time maybe this will give members a better understanding of the establishment.
I was there in October, nothing special...10$ to get in, 2 Pilsners the same old . You walk down some stairs and there is a stage with some girls dancing, an a bar with 10 avg (6-8) chicas sitting down dressed in street clothes, they approach you give you a quick free lap dance, then ask for 50-100$ for FS. Why would I pay that when I could
A. Get an escort for 2 hours at my place
B. Go to Duran an get 7 or 8 chicas for that price
C. Go to Quito to Cafe Rojo and Bang Models for 20$ US
Needless to say we drank our drinks and left with 3 chicas following us begging for us to come back as we were leaving.I hope this answered some questions. If not let me know.

You know Guayaquil is really a pretty city with alot to offer. They have a beautiful Malecon and some pretty tourist spots (Las Penas??). The city offers every modern convenience with some great nite life. You can find chongos there but definetly not quite the selection you have in Quito.

Despite them having reduced the crime in Gye (from the horrible days of the past), I do feel that Gye is still more dangerous than quito. I agree with your safety assessment, especially:

For just pure mongering, Quito is it. For pure tourism the sierra region can't be beat. Guayaquil, being on a river is definetly worth visiting and I feel is a prettier city than Quito.

Anothers clubs to go are The Place,located at Ximena & Junin corner the fee is $5 with a beer,the girls are from 6 to 9 and sometimes a 10.good show (continuo) and they ask you for $60-80+local tax.But if you wait until closetime you can get a better deal.

So this former promoter hooked up with some of these wanna be stars and former unemployed real stars and gave them jobs as hookers and put up a decent looking website and he's in buisness, my personal opinion is that most of the women in the site you can find in local chongos for about $8-10 a piece and sometimes you can find that quality of hoes in the famous 18 street in GYE and sometimes you can find those gems for about $40 an hour in local newspaper ads so why pay $200-800 an hour for some bullshit ass prom-queen complex bitches, that will give you poor service I have spoken to expats that were a little to lazy to go around shoping for service and ended up calling the number on the above mentioned site and they were a little dissapointed sometimes you got a satisfied costumer but my point is why pay those prices if you can probably find cheaper prices for escorts in the US.
My suggestion to expats like me and other tourists ignore the hype and let the stupid locals pay for their fantasy experience while we FFF other cheap hoes that are just laying around everywhere without aynone noticing.

For everyone that wants to know the Duaran clubs are all CLOSED the city wisemen decided since there was going to be a mall that opened near that area they were not going to allow, an unsavory scenery to the potential families that go to the mall.
They have all been shut down and are not going to reopen the only one who had enough money to reestablish himself was the Imperio and is now located KM 7.5 Via Duran-Tambo so it's now a little farther out hope that helps you alll.

Went with a fellow expat to check it out reports of the Mapasingue area chongos mainly El gato and so on it, when I went there last year there were about 10 chongos now there is only "El gato" and "Las Rosas" all the other chongos have been closed. I do not know what the fuck is going on with strip clubs in this town, but the choice spots have gotten fucked up.
Isla del Tesoro: This strip club has raised prices dramatically the entrance fee is now $15 and the take out fee which was a steep fee of $30 has been raised to $50 so girls that where charging like $120 are now charging $150 and girls that were charging $150 are now in the $200 bracket
Odisea Romana: Is currerntly closed for renovations will update when is fully open.

I figured you would know. I have heard that about first class before, but I was wondering if anyone has been with one from first class and worked out a deal for another time another rate. I'll come back to GYE just for this club. I lived in Lima Peru for a year and there is not anything even close to this. The price is $15 to get in and what I love is the place is fulll of hustlers trying to make money the best they can. Makes a bargain to be had easy.

So the best would be to use the tourist visa for 3 months, then to go to Peru during 3 months and then back again to Ecuador for 3 months and back again to Peru during 3 months.

How many years could I do that ? with a tourist Visa ( The one you get at the bordery on your pass) ?In reality Im not sure how long you can do the border run bcause this country has a brand new constitution which means years to "shake the kinks out" and things here change everyday.

I suggest getting a 12-XI visa from the embassy in country you are in for a periood valid of 6 months before you come therefore saving you time and money.

my case Ive beeen here 6 mos and returning to lima for 6 mos. of summer and the onsslaught of peruvian women. By the way lima is the best placee to find a reguulaar girlfriend.

Hello Cnycfl I have meet and hanged out with Vaughnyb1 personally and I can probably tell you the secret to his success. I remember all the times I used to hit up the strip clubs in the US I remember that if you went there often enough you were always labeled a "regular" and the girls "opened up" to you, and could catch a date and free pussy or connections to girls that were players.
As probably the only working stiff in this Ecuadorian board I can give you my .02 cents I personally do not think it's acceptable to walk in a club where the cover charge is $15 and no drinks I mean this is Ecuador where the Minimum wage is $200 a month even in the US there are clubs where the cover charge does not match that and at certain hours the entrance is free so WTF sure if I had the time (which sometimes I do not have) I could hang out at the club everyday so the girls will get familiar with my face and get a deal in the back room for $30 which my dough Vaughnyb1 has gotten believe it or not it also helps that he's somewhat fluent in Spanish.
But anybody else that is not familiar with the scene in that establishment or speaks Spanish and cannot negotiate is going to be put through the meat grinder and get asked the usual $150-200 fee a pop.
My bitching aside this club has THE best women in all the clubs in Guayaquil the selection in the meat market is grade A top beef so the girls are really something in fact I used to go to that club frequently and get deals for $40 all nighter believe it or not but it took enormous amount of time and hustling and I look like a local so imagine any fresh newbie that will show his face to this place what would happen to him I rather go to the $6-15 "chongos" it's cheap and not much drama.

Just some food for thought.

Hello Cnycfl I have meet and hanged out with Vaughnyb1 personally and I can probably tell you the secret to his success. I remember all the times I used to hit up the strip clubs in the US I remember that if you went there often enough you were always labeled a "regular" and the girls "opened up" to you, and could catch a date and free pussy or connections to girls that were players.
As probably the only working stiff in this Ecuadorian board I can give you my .02 cents I personally do not think it's acceptable to walk in a club where the cover charge is $15 and no drinks I mean this is Ecuador where the Minimum wage is $200 a month even in the US there are clubs where the cover charge does not match that and at certain hours the entrance is free so WTF sure if I had the time (which sometimes I do not have) I could hang out at the club everyday so the girls will get familiar with my face and get a deal in the back room for $30 which my dough Vaughnyb1 has gotten believe it or not it also helps that he's somewhat fluent in Spanish.

But anybody else that is not familiar with the scene in that establishment or speaks Spanish and cannot negotiate is going to be put through the meat grinder and get asked the usual $150-200 fee a pop.

My bitching aside this club has THE best women in all the clubs in Guayaquil the selection in the meat market is grade A top beef so the girls are really something in fact I used to go to that club frequently and get deals for $40 all nighter believe it or not but it took enormous amount of time and hustling and I look like a local so imagine any fresh newbie that will show his face to this place what would happen to him I rather go to the $6-15 "chongos" it's cheap and not much drama.

There is a lot of street action around 10 de Augost (spelling? ) and Quito.

Just walk up and down Quito on each side of that block and there are some nasties all over. The price seems fixed at $20 and a $3 short time hotel.

I am sorry I can't tell you where this is, since I was taken there by others and didn't see the address but I am sure you can google it.

The Strip Club Treasure Island supposedly is one of the better ones in town.

The place is large, lots of dancers, lots of customers. $1 tips for a shortie, lap dances are $20 with some touching, but seems there is not a real private place to get a dance where you can get aggressive.

Found a strip club on Junin y Panama near all the banks, and 1 block from the Central bank. No sign. Dont know the name, just walk along that block. There is a guy sitting on a white chair. There is a door and stairs going down.

Also, a block or so away from there is Luque and 6 de Marzo. There is a Chinese restaurant called Restaurant Chifa Yuan. Depending on what you want will make a little difference on what you pay and where to go. Stay in a hotel downtown and you will have relatively central access to a lot of choices.

There is a strip club at Junin y Panama. No big sign, just look for a door opening which is NOT in a bank building (that area is loaded with banks) and a guy sitting out front collecting $10 entrance fees. Take out in a similar club I went to was $100. Tips are $1 for drinks and occasional $1 for the dancers. Lap dances are $10-20. Have to figure out in that club because I didn't stay long.

Walk around Malecon (river walking area, very safe) and sometime there are Pro girls walking around. The Pro's that sometimes walk around Malecon and ask for around $50. You can negotiate.

Walk away from Malecon down 9 de Octubre and near a casino (at night) across from KFC there are a few pro's who ask for $40.

Keep walking the same direction away from Malecon on 9 de Octubre all the way til you hit Parque Centenarrio. In the park and the immediate surrounding streets, day or night, there will be Pro's. Prices range from $10 up to $20. Quality is strangely irrelevant to price. Some hag will ask for $20 and some rare cutie may only ask for $10 so, do your shopping. Take them to the nearby hotels which are $4-$6 short time. They can tell you where they are.

Out of the left exit of the park (based on coming from Malecon) walk one block and you will hit (I think Luque and Marz, sorry I forget the spellings). There is an intersection where Pro's hang out near $4 hotels. They are sometimes the same girls as the park, sometimes not. What I discovered recently is that inside the larger corner "hotel", the "lobby bar" (I use this word liberally since is a crappy place) is like a bar to hang out and look at the available girls. Sometimes it is busy sometimes dead, so have to just give it a shot. You can have a drink and watch some lame TV while you wait to see if any cuties wander through. If you like one, just flash her a nod and you can pay $4 and go up to the room.

Last and worst that I have seen is 10 de Augosto and Quito. This is more dangerous, and has a very sketchy vibe. The hotels are $2. The girls are mostly the bottom of the range but ask for more money sometimes. I can't figure it out. They even warn you to leave as fast as you can into a taxi when you exit the building because you might get robbed. If you look like money and a tourist you are a target. If you blend in, then should be ok.

I suggest you look back to a report I posted not long ago, there is one beauty that I found not far from Quito street which is worth every penny. Check it out, and to enjoy yourself, pay extra to take her somewhere nicer than the $2 hole she will take you.

Friendly warning: Guayaquil is not really safe. There is something called sleeping powder that a thief will try to put on you which makes you tired and pass out so they can rob you. There are occasional girls who will befriend you and eventually arrange to rob you when they know you are not home. There are street robberies all the time. Don't carry bank cards or and more cash than you plan to use. Just be careful. Pay attention to what is around you and if someone seems to come at you, get out fast. Ask your hotel for a car service taxi and don't use the street taxi's. It is not unheard of that they will try to rip you off in some way.

As long as you pay attention and use common sense you will have fun. I have been ok and tried everything many times.

You may want to consider what type of sessions you would get in each country.

IMHO ecuador(quito) was absolutely frustrating. There are tons of chongos with girls at bargin basement prices but the sanitary conditions are horrendous (even for artisttyp). If you like to do DATY and lick ass like myself ecuador is NOT the place for it. The girls [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) in garbage cans and spit on the floor every few seconds. BBBj's were very hit or miss. I can only think of one memorable one in my both trips to quito. I can think of several "highlights" on past trips to buenos aires.

The downside to argentina is the people aren't as friendly as ecuador... yet still pleasant.

I think ecuador would take to asians better than argentina. Argentine mentality is more european. I would rather hang with ecuadorians any day.

You can spend 100-150 per hour in Quito any day, just go to Doll House or any other high end place. Just as in Bogota. It's all up to individual taste and depth of pocket. There are even some 300-500$ per hour girls here, TV models and such. All hush hush and friend brings a friend system.

Personally I'm done with this kind of spending, crisis o no crisis.

Still, I would take Bogota any day of the the year. Last time I spent 120 minutes of GFE with a delicious girls and if memory serves (report was duly files) paid a total of 70$, tip included. 3 bangs and 2 for her. Can't beat Colombians in $$$/(looks+attitude).

To those who don't read spanish

Some 3 guys (one of them Ecua resident from the US), after visiting La Isla and selecting the colombian chick in the photo, took a taxi outside the place at 3am and were intercepted by another car, and were robbed.

When I was in guya last year this happend to us twice. The first time it happend to all 3 of us and i was able to knock the gun away from the guy and beat the [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) out of him with my cell phone. We then started traveling in seperate taxis, sure enough they got one of my buddys who was first in our caravan. By the time we caught up to him they had him in his drawers waiting for us on the corner. This happens often so be careful, and be aware of your surroundings. Also try to hide your belongings quickly in between the seat if something happens.

I just got back from Guayaquil and did not have any problems. I went to Tesoro twice and had a great time. I had the hotel taxi driver drop me off and I called him to pick me up later. No problem whatsoever. Do take precaution because everyone has told me the same thing.

What to do if the hotel you are staying in doesn't organize taxi service ? Is there a secure stand that writes down the drivers number and a pre- determined fare ? The fare is at the most is $4.

I've read that hold ups are very common coming from the airport.Wow, don't believe everything you read, yeah holdups have happened, so have muggings in the city and robberies, but it's not happening 100% of the time for one.

I've been to guayaquil for one too many times this year, receiving and dropping off friends at the airport, never a problem, usually the hold ups happen when they see an immigrant coming with tons of suitcases, the thieves know there might be something of value.

In regards to taxis, there's a stand to your right as soon as you exit customs, big sign that says Taxi, you can ask for a taxi there and agree on the fare with the lady there, she will then tell the taxi driver where to go and how much, saves you the hassle of haggling.

In most SA countries it is recommended that you try to organize a taxi through your hotel or an *official stand at the airport. It has nothing to do with "doomsday" thinking just plain common sense.

Some people prefer to go to the street for a taxi. I myself prefer to pay a few extra dollars. Once I get to where I am going and settled I can go where I please.

I have heard story upon story of people being robbed, even during daytime.

Rules:
Do not walk around anywhere at nite.
During the evening, travel in a group.
During evening take a taxi everywhere.
Do not go to Calle 18 at nite (this is suicide) - even during the day going to Calle 18 , I would make sure I went in a group, or with an escort.
Even if you walk around during day you might get robbed.

While it is much safer to take a taxi everywhere, I have heard reports of folks getting jacked while they are in a taxi. Calling a radio-controlled cab is probably the safest bet. If you go to a place like Salamane, be sure you to go straight from the door to the cab. Do not linger outside in those streets.

I happen to like Salamane - it is my favorite wh0rehouse in all of GYE. They have a good selection and a lively crew.

I would not walk alone on the Malecon at nite. The only place where I would walk around at nite is Zona Rosa - it is the high-end restaurant and disco area and has guards on every corner. Even then, I would minimize my walking around.

I managed to find salame, but the girls were terribly un-impressive.I was pleased with Salamane I am guessing - but I think it was like 20 girls and maybe 5 cute and were spinners. I went there in daytime and I had no problems what so ever - not even the hint of violence. Just a bunch of drunken Ecuadorians staring at the women.

There are some good-looking women there - tons of selection - the only problem is that you have to have sex in an un-airconditioned dirty closet.

I was later told that going there alone was not the best idea (even in daytime).

Not cool at all. I went to Quito in 2007 and fortunately one of my wingmen spoke better Spanish than they did.......may have to re-think my wanting to go to Quayaquil next year. I'm now living in Ghana getting to my third year and its getting pretty borring. Theres not much to do even in the big city like Accra other than bangin girls and ofcause I'm doing that! I have been to Guayaquil about 9 times now and I love it. I also love a good massage and have found that the Hampton Inn in central is great! I think it is $20 for and hour and it is a professional massage but no "happy ending."This was pretty much my experience. I think I might have paid $40 for the hour, for a massage at the Hampton Inn.

There are two massage rooms located in a secluded area of the Gym, which is on the lower ground floor. The rooms are big. However, my room was a bit too cold for my liking. Half way through she said something, which after a few moments of confusion (on my part), obviously meant "turn over please". So I did this, revealing that my penis was semi-erect. I took this to mean that she was preserving my modesty, so I then took the towel off again, to indicate that I didn't need it. The place was absolutely safe to walk around as the police were present everywhere.

Around the noon I took a taxi to the famed 'La Calle Dieciocho' At first, the taxi driver did not know about 'La 18' as there are number of 18th streets in Guayaquil, but later I had confirmed the location with the words 'La Zona de Tolerancia. ' La Calle 18 was short (less than 2000 feet long?) and both ends were closed with no through traffic. One-way traffic cut perpendicularly through the middle of 'La 18. ' The traffic was packed with number of cars trying to pass through it. La 18 was jammed-packed with guys that reminded me of Times Square in Manhattan, NY. It was like the condensed version of worst slums, bars, and *houses of Santa Fe, Bogota. There were number of street vendors selling grilled meat, fruits, water and other drinks. I couldn't buy a beer because sale of alcohol was forbidden on Sundays.

There were dozen Casas both ends of La 18. Between the casas were bars and restaurants which were closed during Sundays. The casas in one end of the street were with old putas and the casas opposite end of the street were with younger and better looking chicas. I went with the 20 year old cutie who quoted $7. 00 and demanded upfront payment. Although she was pretty her service was very mechanical. Although I banged her pussy with diligence I could not cum. It was like pounding a dead cold fish. So, finally I gave up and quit after sweating from the heavy pussy pounding.

I had a good sweat from climbing the steep hill but as I reached the top, I enjoyed the nice breeze and magnificent views of the city. The houses on the hills were painted beautifully with appealing colors. Each stairs were numbered so that I could know how many more I had to go. When I got down the hill, I took the taxi to the hotel and retired for the night.

Ate the breakfast at the hotel and went to Malecon 2000, shopping malls. The stores reminded me of the flea market in the States selling from clothes, electronics, souvenirs toys and other varieties. Around the noon, I took a taxi again to La Calle 18. The place was with less people than Sunday afternoon but the bars and restaurants were opened for the business. Each casa had about half dozen girls standing at the entrance while guys looked at them like the animals in the zoos, but the girls never looked at them directly in the eye. Like the other horney dudes I strolled back and forth the street and took one cutie to the back room for a nice bang-bang. I don't know how much money I spent on that night and I was so wasted with so much drinks. The girls at the Tesoro were beautiful, fun, and worth for the money in everyway. Excellent trip report.

A while ago I researched doing a southern ecuador into northern Peru trip. Go to guayaquil and head to the border with Peru hitting all the towns on the way. Once in Peru do the same then maybe fly out of Lima.

My only concerns were what to do once I had a session and saw the town's central sqaure. Then what?

Is guayaquil that entertaining that you can spend 2 weeks there?

* When you described the " casas " on calle 18 do you mean hotels? About how many of these casas are there in the area and about how many girls were available at 18?

I am trying to figure out if 18 is similar to what " la linea" is to guatemala city. La linea is great but not worth a trip to guatemala city just for that.

BLGood stuff. This thread has been stagnant for a long time. I think what people want to know is how many options like this are available in and around guayaquil? Is guayaquil and the surrounding areas abundant enough in this type of affordable action? Is it enough to warrant a trip or at least worthy of combining it with a few close by locations?

Nothing much has been said about the appeal of the city itself. Is guayaquil a cool enough city that someone could hang out there for a few weeks and enjoy the city's offerings OR is it someplace that is only good for a few days?

From my experiences in quito bbbj and daty were not doable most of the time....daty because of sanitary reasons ( no running water) and bbbj because of mechanical sessions. What was your experience?

Got stuck in GYE for 3 nights. Stayed in Hilton Colon, nice place but not girl friendly. They wanted $80 for guests. However, we complained and said we had 2 guests on our reservation and were on our way without being charged. La Isla is like a US style strip club however, you can sample the merchandise. $17 cover and comes with a beer or mixed drink. 2 song private dance $32. The best deal here is waiting for the 2:00 am closing. Most of the girls make deals at this time or arrange it before closing. $80-100-120 was the quoted rates at my table. The girls here are pretty hot I must say. Went to another similar club Amadeus, this club is a few notches below La Isla but worth the visit. Overall, GYE is not cheap and not worth the visit if you have other options. However, if you're stuck there or on business you can find some treasures in this city. Peace out.

I looked for that address on Google Maps. I am not convinced about the result. On Google Maps:

- I see a clear mismatch between the photo and the map (the Callejóand 18 does not coincide with a calle on the photo).
- Moreover, you too remember a perpendicular street crossing, while nobody mentioned the river close to La 18.

==> Therefore, I have some significant doubt that the location we see on Google Map is the right one. Can anybody help me to find out the actual location of La 18 on the map? Thank you!

La 18 is NOT where I previously pointed my attention or where BL has suggested. That is another "Calle 18". There are various Cl. 18 in GYE.

I think that the correct address to look for on Google Maps is:
Callejón Diesiocho, Guayaquil
That place must be the right one, because it is intersected by a perpendicular street and is also close to a Calle Salinas.

Any kind member might confirm or confute my claim above? Is that the place?

It was my first experience in Latin America and the mythical posts of Tungurahua (shame on who does not know who is he) led me in my first night explorations of streets in South America. What a thrill entering 3 Stars the first time!

After the due RTFF and having studied all info reported here in the last 2-3 years, tonight I started my exploration after dinner at 9pm.
I started with a long walk around the places reported with SWs (but in 2009). Maybe 2 years is a long time, but the places looked not so unsafe to me as they were reported, besides being totally empty of WGs.

10 De Agosto from Malecon to Quito and Machale: nothing, not even scary characters as depicted in the past reports.
Parque Centenario and streets around: 3 (three!) SW, not appealing at all. 3 TVs on Machala.
9 De Octubre: nothing.
At least here downtown, the place does not look unsafe at all. Walking the Centro of Medellin at midnight gives a different thrill.

I ended at Salamane (read the post about its address).
It's a typical Ecuadorian chongo bar at middle / low level, like some I remember in Quito. Patrons ranged from college students (LOL! Yes so they looked) , to a couple of men with jacket and tie, to the usual borrachos.
Entrance fee: 3$ (maybe because I enter after 10pm?). I give 5$ and the man gives me back 2 tickets with 1$ value each, worth 1 beer each.
Girls are not bad, although well seasoned to the job (Sorry, if you read my latest posts from Batam you see how much I like SYTs there. Here, it's another planet: forget all that).

Sorry, I know I may sound unpleasant, but I want to add some correction and more precise information to an otherwise appreciable report.

While I am becoming more acquainted with Guayaquil, I know how much confusion I had the first days, just because reports were not pointing out things exactly. :confused:

I already wrote the exact address of "Salamane" (now I even doubt it is its correct name).

I bought some snacks, drinks and booze from the Commisario few blocks away from the hotel.The name is "Mi Comisariato". It is maybe the most important chain of supermarkets here.

After the quick shower I took a walk to Parque Centenario and ate the dinner at the Cangrejo restaurant located at the corner of Ave. Quito & Calle Belez.Its name has nothing to do with that. It is actually a "Cangrejal" (this is what you read on the front) , that is a restaurant specialized in cangrejos (crabs) , and it is located at the corner of Ave. Quito & Calle Velez. It's not bad, but definitely there are better places around.

Taxi fare to "La 18" is 3USD from the center.

The point is that Google Maps seems not exact in depicting and naming those streets.

My understanding, today, is that "La 18" is a segment of Calle Salinas, closed with walls, intersected by "Brasil", parallel to Av. 17 Milagro.
What we cannot see on Google Maps is that that segment is closed by walls at the two ends. However, the intersecting street is Brasil and it is parallel to Av. 17 Milagro (checked with my eyes!)

Two taxi drivers confirmed the same: in Guayaquil the SWs are only old and ugly (besides the risk of being mugged with scopolamine, which has been an increasing threat last year). They both told me that the only places are 9 Oct (Centenario and till Malecon Salado) and 10 Agosto (P. Que Victoria) , as I reported before. Outside the centre there is nothing.
There are no pelaitas in streets, like in other cities (hmmm Colombia! :p)

The best ones are at 9 Oct. With Los Rios, but we are speaking about 4 girls who ask 30$ at late night (checked twice). They are not bad, but I see better ones in Salemane or La 18.

You must be kidding! This is not really my kind of place. All bars and brothels close at midnight, that is when I usually start feeling right. Till this moment, La 18 seems to me the only place worth visiting in GYE. Too little for a city with millions of people.

GAY BARS.

I was pointed to the bars of La Zona Rosa by a taxi driver. Supposedly, there should be pelaitas there, hoping to make some cash.
Today it's Monday. All Rocafuerte is empty and lonely (10pm) , but walking at its end I find two nice bars with loud music. Their names sound also appealing to me: La Dulce Vita and something like La Zona. When I enter I realize they are gay bars: lots of teen boys holding and dancing face to face. :eek: I leave.
I see now that those blocks are famous and recommended in some Internet guides for gay tourism.

D'ANGELLO.

I hit D'Angello Bar (barra type, two Ls yes) , Luque between Garaycoa and 6 De Marzo at 11. 30pm. Typical low-end barra, with chicas to entertain patrons. You can take them away after the bar closes, but it's not their job there.

Beer 1. 25$. Girl drink (beer) 2$. Cheap compared to the Philipinas BMD (BuyMeaDrink) bars of Singapore, which I hate, where a lady drink cost at least 20$, and if you dare a bottle the bill passes 100. Besides that, girls only drink. It's hard to take them to your hotel there.

Twice men as girls. Girls are mostly chubby or fat, except a couple who look interesting to me. Needless to say they are busy.

I seat and drink my beer. Girls there are not pushy and do not self-invite themselves to your table.
Men range from the builder, still dirty of cement and white paint, to some young guys of lower-middle class.

After 30mins, I feel my ass becoming fresher. Before I realize that it is not a normal feeling, I see a big girl coming to me, drying the seat and apologizing for her sister who poured beer there. Nice trick - I think - to start talking to me! I offer her a beer.
She also asks me, after a while: "How did you come here?? How did you know it??" She looks sincerely surprised to see a foreigner there.
At 12 the bar closes and the lights turn on. She invites me to eat some pescado frito with her and her sister, but I opt to go sleeping to my bed.

I went back to La 18 today, same time 6pm-7pm. If you consider it dangerous at 4pm, it does not look different to me at 7pm.

I confirm the exact address: it is a short street, parallel to Milagro (Av. 17) and intersected by Brasil. It is indeed a segment of Salinas, closed at both ends by walls (that is, Salinas is interrupted by the two blocks allocated to "La 18")

Today at 7pm (dark, I guess it was not a prudent idea) I went on the other side, to see how it looks. On Cuenca, you see a dirty wall, with some concavity left where Salinas was continuing its path, before they decided to allocate this segment to the Zona de Tolerancia. This concavity is full of rubbish and a homeless was sitting there. I quickly went back to Milagro, where at least there are cars and "regular" people.

Taxi fare: always 3$ from the center and same to go back. Best choice is to pick a taxi from Av. Milagro. I think it's interesting to note that taxies do not have meters, but in spite of me being a foreigner nobody ever tried to overcharge me. I even do not ask the price in advance. They spontaneously specify it when we leave.

Always a prudent dress up carefully designed to not give the impression I may have money: rough shirt and pants, not really clean (the clothes, me I am clean) , no watch, no wallet with credit cards etc, only 15$+15$ in the two pockets (lower budget today).

I am attracted by a young teen negrita with perfect body. Bad choice. She is rude and cold to me, she does not take off the bra, she puts TWO condoms on me (she believes it's safer) and then she lays down waiting for me do the business. I gave her 10 (will she give me the change? I wonder) so I don't want to lose and leave. I decide to pump a while, but I do not cum saving my shot for a better girl.

The wonderful teen model of yesterday is still there. I think the place is called Acapulco, to the left and again left entering, in the middle. You cannot miss her because she is really too nice to stay there.

2) If one reads the forum (years of posting), he gets the impression that in GYE the only possibilities to monger are: La 18, El Gato, El Imperio, La Isla, some (ugly) SWs. Does anybody has the impression that this is too few for a city with 2 millions people?
Talking with just those taxi drivers I knew that on the Perimetral there are at least 30-40 cheap chongos, not to mention other 3-4 clubs in the centre, which are reachable on foot or by taxi for a small fee. Warning: the chongos on the Perimetral can be more dangerous than La 18, because being out of city they may not see the police for a long time, and there is lots of people with weapons around.

I wish Tungurahua would have been here exploring the area (but we cannot ALWAYS rely ONLY on Him to get some detailed information on a place)

PS: a driver told me today that the situation at La18 has been improved a lot in these years regarding security. Some years ago, he told me, "casi cada dia matavan a uno en la calle..."

So you can also see how the suck ass software sucks because I wrote "día" and it came out "theía."

"Casí cada día mataban a uno en la calle" is correct.

"D" gets "corrected" to "the", "n" gets "corrected" to "and," the software will take out the space after the period if the last word in the sentence is bolded, and so forth. It fucks up more than it ever corrects.

How much is a taxi to get there and can you take a public bus to get there? Also worth knowing is if you can walk from one to another when you get there?

Knowing the ones in the city center is a must! I am excited but not too excited due to poor chongo experiences in quito. However hearing about possible new affordable locations is promising and welcomed.

Today I set up for hitting La 18 for the third time, but then I changed my mind when I saw it was 7pm. Grab a taxi and let's go to check El Imperio.

Taxi fare: 7$ to go, but only 6$ to return (by an unofficial driver on a poor damaged car).

Entrance fee: 25c (an ISG member here was apparently overcharged 100%).

Chica fee: 7$

El Imperio is not what I expected. Actually, I was down-dressed: too wild for the place. Luxury cars were parked out. The security selects the people at the entrance. Inside, a mix of workers out from the factory, still in heavy-duty uniform, young people like university students, some people better dressed, some with even a watch or a tie.

A stage in the middle for shows. 24 doors at the 4 walls, only 6-8 girls (variable looking) for maybe 50-80 men.

At 7:30pm, a guy with dark skin, dressed like Michael Jackson begins a dance show. He dances on MJ music like him and he is fantastic. Then he dances like a robot etc.
I think it's very sad that a real talent like him has to work in this place. Finally she collects good tips, but he deserves a better stage.

After 2 hours sitting and 2 beers, I moved to the girl I liked and she refused me. Unbelievable. She explained she did not want because I looked borracho. I understood that my look designed for La 18 here was not well tuned. I changed my approach and I convinced her that I am a good guy.

Inside, she asked a tip to remove the bra and tried to get more for a longer experience. I initially agreed to give her 10$ for the bra and good service, then after a while we had some discussion about an extra tip for the extra time, while we were busy doggie style. The discussion lasted a good 5 minutes, which was the extra time I needed, while I did not give her more than the 10$ I gave initially.
Good experience, including the discussion doggie style about the tip for the extra time.

Outside, on the other side of the parking lot, there is a "privado", entrance fee 5$ (incl. 2 beers).
Supposedly, it should be better and with better girls, but it is a small place, with only 2 girls, who of course are the same you can meet in the "public" place.
I would not go there again. The public place is where to go.

ThanksOnce more, the city is a normal city of this part of the world, I enjoy the food and the costs are low, but I would not come here just for the pleasure of staying, eating or partying here. Besides all, all bars close at 12pm, and the center is lonely and silent after 9pm except on weekends.
It's possible to have fun here, as everywhere except in USA or Western Europe, but lots of care and time to explore are needed.

Today I decided to focus my expectations to 10pm onwards, aiming at exploring some new places. Wrong choice. However, staying here 20 days calls for exploring new territories.

JUNIOR'S
One of my drivers claimed yesterday that Junior's is full of pelaitas. After a good T-Bone steak, let's go to have a look.
It's just a classic strip bar. It's located not far from the center, before La Isla.
Entry fee: $15, barra libre. I don't drink much, so I don't see the advantage.
The girls are actually WOWOW, but this is not El Imperio. You can give them the tip and have them dancing on your kness (you know, US style, but here you can touch, not like in Texas* :D ). There are also boots for private dances. From their look, I guessed that girls were Colombian, but I did not ask.
Upper-class patrons, including usual university students or looking like.
After half an hour, I left disappointed. I wanted a chongo, not a strip bar!

HABANA
I pick an old taxi outside. I ask for a chongo. It's 23:30, so it's too late, but the drivers tells me that we can try L'Habana. I ask what it is, and he tells me it's a bar with girls, mas barato que Junior's, but not so bad, neither more dangerous than La 18. He claims it may be open till 4am.
We reach it after crossing dilapidated areas, I guess at least 10 blocks South of 9 Oct before Salado.
The street looks scary. In front there are 4-5 cars and taxies. 5-8 people not quite upper-class. I understand why it can be open till 4am. The police must not attend it often.
Once inside, I see an empty place. 5-6 chubby girls. 10 men. I don't have the time to assess if it's dangerous. I guess people there was surprised to see me, because the DJ and a girl were staring at me. I decide to leave and I pick the first old car in front.

CASA PALACE
We make a tour for streets around 9 Oct. And Los Rios. The only nice SWs apparently work there, but I see only 1 of the 4 I know. In the blocks around, there are usually other girls, so we scout blocks to look what's around, but nothing.
After 12, everything is closed, so he takes me to Casa Palace, a discotec in the basament of Hotel Indira. 1 block from Salomé (let me repeat it: SALOME') , which is already closed.
Casa Palace is not bad, but it's totally empty. On the other side of the building, there is another discotec: some people, a few chubby girls to entertain patrons, but after 5 minutes it closes.

Work is killing me. No time to venture into new lands till 11pm (but I did not skip a good dinner).
Tonight it's Friday. Many places close at 2am or so. Interestingly, querying taxi drivers does not give sure answers. Some told me 2am, another 12pm. Maybe he's right the one who told me that El Imperio closes at 12 also today (it's very far away).

I decide to probe El Gato. It's about 10-15 mins from Malecon del Salado (end of 9 Octubre), taxi priced $5.

Yes, I confirm: on weekends (but incl. Or excl. Sunday?) it closes at 2am.
Entry fee: $2 (including a beer served on the spot). Body search by the security.
Chica fee: standard $20, to be paid to the desk at the entrance of the upper flow ($15 are promply passed to the girl).
Price was recently raised, because rooms have aircondition. When I go with the girl (so yummy) , we both feel freezing and she asks a guy to come to switch it off. He does it and promptly asks a propina.

The area outside it's bad. At night, I guess ladrones are just waiting behind the corner to see if someone comes out and ventures too far (people coming in or out El Gato is supposed to have some cash or better).
The place however is good. It looks a strip bar, with stage and poles, tables, etc, BUT there are also rooms at the upper floor. What I was looking for.
It's Friday and it's packed of people, sitting at tables and making noise with music.

Girls are of all types, but the average look is the highest of all places I have seen in GYE so far. Hay buena pelada, as we comment with people at tables. I guess that today, Friday, also El Imperio must have more and better girls than when I visited it, on a slow Wednesday. Many girls are really exciting, still not so cinema-style to look fake as at Juniors. Choosing is really hard. On the other hand, we all know that best experience come NOT from the best looking girl, but from the average. :D

(Quiz: where did I see the BEST LOOKING WORKING GIRL in Guayaquil? She was incredible, sweet face and perfect body. How much? Answer at the end)

Surprise: when I enter, on the stage there are no girls dancing, but the dark-skin guy who was dancing like MJ at El Imperio 2 days ago. He must be a local star and makes significant money touring all strip bars in the area. I give him another tip, because he really deserves it.

People is of all types, but the average is higher than at El Imperio (of course, it's more expensive here).

I talk with a couple of nice guys from GYE (of course: I never saw any foreigner in these places in these days, although El Gato is exacly the place where a foreigner may go if still afraid to venture in lower-class places, yet avoiding expensive places like La Isla), who are very chatty and willing to recommend me girls and friends. Actually, commenting asses with people sitting at the same table gives another flavor to attending a chongo (but this is not a chongo: it's upper class, it's a strip bar with rooms upstairs).

I leave at 1am after doing my business with the girl I liked most. OK, but nothing to remember.

Saturday night, I decide to try again El Gato. It's 11pm. El Imperio is very far and closes at 12. El Gato seems the best option.

ENTERING EL GATO

At the entrance, queue of young guys. The men at the door check the cedula to everyone (they did not yesterday) and search all bodies to ensure no weapons are entered.

I give $5 to the young guy who gets the entry fee, he gives me back $2 change. I think that the entry fee is $3 on Saturday and I leave. He calls me back for the additional dollar, when I am already far. So honest.

NEAR EL GATO

On the Avenida. 30 meters before the street going to El Gato there is a $7 chongo. I see the light and I ask the taxi driver and people waiting to enter El Gato. Everyone says it's mas barato and mas peligroso, but they never entered. It's the place I want to try next time.

Again on the Avenida, but after the street, there is La Rosa, another cheap chongo.

When I see them, I am not surprised to think that I never read a post mentioning them in the forum.

INSIDE EL GATO

Less people than yesterday! Less girls! I am surprised and I have no explanations for that. Maybe they are all busy in the rooms?

I take a nice tall girl, which is not the best looking, but looks kind enough to talk nicely to me for 10 minutes without pushing to go to the room.

One of the taxi drivers of tonight told me that some of them were closed by the police, after an assault to a truck on the road. The bandits escaped and hid into one of the chongos. The police had to search everyone in all chongos and then found lots of weapons, drugs, besides the stolen goods and the bandits.
As a result, many chongos were closed by the authority and are just reopening.
Not advisable to go, unless after a 2 months stay and having visited all others.

Sunday in Guayaquil (Ecuador?) is horrible. By law of the President, on Sunday it is forbidden to sell alcohol after 5pm. As a result, all places where people like to meet are closed.

The Via Perimetral is the name of the big road which goes all around the city. You cannot figure out how is the place, because me too I cannot, having been in the city (a big one!) for a while, but never having ventured there in the night. In my post I am referring referred information, not my experience (when it's my experience I add details).

I repeat that it is not a place to go, alone and with American accent. That is not a red light district. It's a poor area. The suburbs of Guayaquil are full of bad people. Those chongos are there and thus they are in a no-go area for anyone who is not used to have a gun in the pocket AND not speaking like a local.

I bet that many taxi drivers would not wait for you outside.

Artie boy has been to lots of chongos, in Peru, Ecuador, and I believe Guatemala, among other places. He's posted lots of useful reviews and has been on this board a fuck of a lot longer than you have been.

'Perimetral' would translate as 'ring road. ' Like the US interstates that have three digit numbers beginning with an even number.

I've been knowing Artist since his adventures in Medellin with Tungurahua, years ago. I believe I have some confidence with him. Then what? May we limit posting here about reporting useful information?

I am trying to figure it out through you. You have to understand that when you say 30/40 chongos (in affordable ecuador) over 100, 000 ISG members pop a boner.Three taxi drivers (I am scientific in polling people) told me the same: the chongos on the Perimetral are the only places where they would never go (to monger) and are countless (two said more then 30, when I asked).

For a city with 2millions people I would expect not less than 100 chongos in the area, not 30! Why 30/40 chongos would excite people so much? Let us just see the old lists of Tung in Quito. They list maybe 30/40 places, but are necessarily only a small part of what is available.

I repeat I don't see anything to be particularly excited about. It is not a zona de tolerancia. The Perimetral is at various km from downtown and by car it may take 30 mins to go there.

Next week I will be in Bogota and Medellin. I cannot wait to breath the air and feel the atmosphere of the bars of Santa Fe and of the Center of Medellin :p

I was in Guayaquil in mid-September. 2011, exporing the Malecon, when I "bumped into" a reasonably attractive, professionally-attired, middle-class looking 30-year-old female named "Ana / Anita". She said she was there on business from Lima, Peru, and her family business was women's undergarments. Soon we were holding hands, and I suggested we go to my or her hotel. She suggested mine, and that we pick up some beers on the way (by now, the more experienced among you are saying RED FLAG!). We get to my hotel and she heads up the stairs without leaving I'd at the front desk (red flag #2). We shower, do some sucking and fucking (and she says "Salud!" every time we change positions, and we drink) , I cum, clean up, return to bed, resume our conversation, and that's the last thing I remember for 15 hours. She obviously slipped a drug in my beer, probably when she exited the shower first and I was drying off. She took a couple of $75 cameras, all four memory cards (one with about 250 photos, the *****) , some personal items and maybe $100 cash. Fortunately she did not physically harm me, or find my hidden passport or credit cards, but she had full access to my suitcase while I was "out". I had heard of some Scopolamine druggings in Ecuador by hookers, but since she was not ostensibly a hooker (and she was not cute enough for me to pay to have sex with her) , she took me completely by surprise. Live and learn guys, and watch out for this scenario. Karma is a *****, and maybe her next victim will catch her and make her pay.

Greetings Fellow Mongers,

This is only my first post on this forum but I think I can add a lot of information as I've lived in Gauayaquil for most of my life and can likely add some pretty useful information to the rest of you.

First off, Guayaquil is not the place to be for any extended period of mongering. Yeah, it has it's good spots but truthfully, there are better places to go unless you happen tp live here like myself and Doombringer. The city for the most part is extremely dirty and smelly though it has gotten a lot better over the years. Petty crime is fairly common and you should follow the Domino's Pizza credo of never carrying more than 20 bucks unless you are going out to eat somewhere nice. Under no circumstances should you carry bank or credit cards on your person. Doing so is almost like begging to be mugged or worse yet, be a victim of secuestro express in which your bank account gets drained usually at gunpoint.

PLACES TO STAY AWAY FROM. Downtown, north of Quisquis and south of Clemente Ballen, the Perimetral, all areas south of the city unless you have a local with you, but stay away from El Guasmo at all costs, all areas in and around the main cemetery regardless of whether you have a local with you, Suburbio Oeste, This guy has only 2 posts, but he looks well informed. Good post.

Based on my experience, limited to 2 weeks in town, I agree on almost everything.

Folks, do as he recommended:

- go out with only some cash, I'd say 20-50 depending on where you go (20 is to few! It is barely enough only to go a cheap place like La 18 by taxi and having some fun!) ;

- don't take a wallet with you;

- no cards, no watch, nothing except a picture I'd and your cash.

About the places to stay away, the level of danger of listed places is not the same. I have walked around north of Quisquis and south of Clemente Ballen many times at night time. Places are not good, but manageable. The Golden Rule is: if in doubt, stay away. Adjust your behaviour on your experience.

my original post was a lot longer but for some reason didn't go through completely.

okay. a lot has changed in guayaquil in the last couple weeks. all of the chongos / clubs in the downtown area have been shut down by the local police force. this includes salame (both the new location on riobamaba and vm rendon and the old one on ave. quito and velez) , and la isla. la isla will probably open up again in a month or so after the heat dies down (this is normal) as it appears to have just been closed temporarily. mostly for letting ****d patrons inside. salame is another story. it looks like it is gone for good at the riobamba location as the inside has been totally cleaned out. if it does open up it will probably be in a new location or perhaps in its old place on av. quito and velez but don't expect anything for a while.

el gato and imperio were still open as of last week and i think both escaped the latest municipal purge which is good because el gato is really the best place in toen for mongering. i plan on swinging by el gato tomorrow next week just to be sure. imperio is way too far out of the city for me to be worth my while and the girls are pretty mediocre. i'd skip it altogether.

as far as the chongos on the perimetral are concerned, you guys shouldn't even be considering going out that far. it's way too dangerous for anyone who's not a local. we call it the perimortal and for good reason. it's a notorious place for dumping murder victims. any chongos you may happen to find out there are no better than any thing you can find on la 18.

i'll post more on el gato and la 18 in a few days. la 18 has quite a history in guayaquil and every monger should go there at least once before they die, even if it's just for a look around. been going there for about 25 years and never seen any other place like in south america.

It doesn't really matter how it's spelled. My point is that its closed until further notice. Usually the girls who worked there relocate to El Gato or go independent until it reopens again. The only thing you really lose is convenience as its closer to DT. El Gato is a lot better club for my money. And I don't claim to live here, I DO live here.

That said, here's my take on El Gato. As has been previously posted it's located at KM 6. 5 via a Daule. You can either cab it there for $5 or take the bus or Metrovia for 25 cents which lets you off a block away. Look for the blue and white entrance sign that says EL GATO on the left side of the street as you're moving away from the city. Entrance fee is still $3 and includes a beer. You WILL be asked for I'd but you can usually get waved in if you say you're a foreigner. Probably best to at least take a copy of your passport in case they want to be a pain in the ass and not admit you, especially nowadays with the recent crackdowns.

El Gato is a relatively big club with lots of comfortable if old couches lining the perimeter. Things don't start rocking until at least 7 PM but you can go as early as 5. Girls range anywhere from 4-7 with the occassional 8 or 9 thrown in. Girls mostly stand in front of the urinals in the far back end of the club which I know sounds odd but it works out as it gives you a chance to look them over as you're pissing out your beer. Sometimes the girls will circulate around the club but they'll rarely make the initial contact unless you're a regular. They have groups of girls dancing on the stage who will circulate after asking for tips (usually 25 cents will keep them happy). Once you've picked out your girl, you go upstairs and the dude at the desk hits you up for $5 for the room. The rooms are the best of any chongo in Guayaquil and a considerable upgrade from SALOME. Hell, I'd be happy if Salome just had floors that were clean and dry! Once you get done, you pay the girl her fee ($15-20) and then you go back downstairs to reload.

In spite of what's been said here, you CAN get a GFE at El Gato. The key is to dress nicely and speak decent Spanish. If you come in dressed like a slob, it ain't going to happen. It's also easy to get digits from the girls for OTC action if you follow this rule. Keep in mind that not all girls do this but if you play your cards right, it will happen with the right chica.

The inside of the club is extremely safe as I've never had any issues here, but you should exercise extreme caution departing El Gato as there are goons watching the door and the feeder street that leads to the door. Best to take a taxi straight from the door or else walk very briskly to the main drag and flag down the first yellow taxi you see. Under no circumstances should you make any kind of eye or vocal contact with anyone between the club entrance and the main drag. You may get accosted by someone trying to distract you which is just a set-up for a mugging and possible beatdown. Use common sense!

One more thing about the older report that quotes a notice from the American Consulate warning about the safety of yellow taxis. This is total bullshit. The cabbies driving the yellow colored cabs are true professionals just trying to make a living and they're not out to rob you. One or two isolated incidents should not be an indictment on the yellow cab drivers. And besides, you're going to have to get out of there some way! You should use a little caution if you get solicited by an unmarked pirate cab (usually they'll tap their horn). Most are just working stiffs trying to make a few extra bucks on the side but they don't know the city like the yellow cabbies and may charge more to haul you. Best to stick to the yellow fellows.
