Where to begin, we had a player the other day a "passport bro" here who called me and hired me to take him around, the first day we did kind of touristy things and I discovered a new hotel in the process and uploaded a review on my touristy you tube channel after he got settled in he did not feel like mongering much so we went to the "caraguay market" in Guayaquil I made a video in the past on this particular area the fish is amazing for those who have traveled it is not as big as Tsukiji Outer Market, however, the fish cannot get any fresher this is a port / fish-market combined small boats come in the makeshift port and go straight to the market where people buy fish wholesale from shrimp to shark it can all be found here in this market it is in a sketchy part of town but the fish is amazing, on day 2 he wanted to see more of Guayaquil since he had heard that this city had become the next iteration of mad max beyond Thunderdome, now let's be clear the 3 million people that live here are not exactly followers of Gandhi but the situation is not what the media claims it is, yes there is a wave an uptick in violence but the is talks between the current administration and the US and it seems they have come to a tentative agreement to bring advisors and authorizing coast guard ships to enter Ecuadorian waters the first step IMHO to getting this chaos under control however there is an election on Sunday, and one candidate is socialist on paper so if she wins there is no chance of such agreements coming down the pipeline but I digress. He was looking at some real estate options for himself and his family since he informed me that in Costa Rica the inflation is getting as high as in the US, hard to believe, but he is an expat living there, and it seems some people are looking at cheaper countries to move into Ecuador being one of them, so I took him to my fair city of Guayaquil and while I did not convince him to move to this city he at least got the impression that what the media portrays of Ecuador is more nuanced than the chaos that is currently portrayed. I took him on a tour of what in my opinion should be acceptable living conditions for an expat at an affordable price I took him to the exclusive neighborhood of Isla Mocoli where rent is 1200 to 1500 a month, to the general Samborondon area where rent is between 600-800, and up north of Guayaquil where you can find gated communities for 250-500 a month, he liked the options but unfortunately we could not hit the clubs because he had a fast van scheduled to take him to Cuenca where he was going to hook up with a real estate agent so he can look at some options over there. When he came back to Guayaquil on Saturday he wanted to hang out so we went with the real estate agent to Urdessa this Realtor was a character born in Germany, grew up in Chicago, and had been living in Ecuador for as long as I have so he spoke 3 languages German / English / Spanish we all went for drinks in Urdessa with a girl he calls his "wife" I made a video of the encounter, after 1 drink we called it a day, this is one of the rare occasions that I have taken someone around and he has not fucked I did take him to all the clubs around the Lorenzo de Garaycoa area the "hostess bars" but he did not seem interested in women that pretended to be your friend so that they could take a commission while getting you drunk, to be honest, I don't see the point either but that is because I do not like to drink, but I do see some guys get to play from the hostesses at a markup price, however for that price, I might as well go to a legal brothel why play games.

As you all may have heard we have had some festivities in Ecuador, all jokes aside it's what it is, or at least those of us who have a security mindset were half expecting this tit-for-tat reaction from the internal instability of the country.

President Noboa took office in late November and seems determined to restore Ecuador to its pre-pandemic level of safety. He signed a decree that categorizes 22 criminal organizations as terrorists, which allows the military to work with the police and gives them more control over the actions they can take. He also authorized the construction of a new maximum-security prison in the Amazon to hold the people who were arrested.

Noboa appears to be following the lead of President Bukele in El Salvador, which went from the most dangerous country in the world just a few years ago, to the safest country in Latin America today. Bukele's approach has downsides, but the results in overall public safety cannot be ignored.

The next few weeks and months will be very telling for Ecuador. There's no way to know how this will play out, but Noboa seems to have enough political, military, and social support to do what is needed to return Ecuador to the peaceful nation it once was. Unfortunately, it's always darkest before the dawn.

So we left the "spa" at 10 pm since there is a curfew in effect at 11 pm and I cemented with gringo loco my dedication to the game it's what it is.

So yes I am safe and secure and rest assured that if anyone wants to engage in nonpeaceful activities I have the equipment, training, ability, and willingness to send them straight to the promised land, it's far from peaceful but better them than me.

Been a while since I have posted but I have been on the go quite a bit. I just returned from a 24 day trip to GYE. It rained more than I'm used to but it was not to bad. The weather was warm but I like it like that. It has been about 2 years since my last trip there. I had the bad luck to arrive just as the civil unrest was going on. This hurt me at first as I like to hunt at night. I hooked up with my old friend Doom and he was very helpful. I went to my usual places 10 8 and Solome. Doom also got me into a Spa. Drinks for the girls is $2.50. I really liked it there as I went many times and the girls seemed to like me $25 for trip to their room. The difference for this trip was Doom started sending me girls to my room. They were all young and pretty. The price for a hour was $60 and $10 for the taxi. Most of them stayed longer than a hour. At this point I will compare GYE to MDE. Price wise that was double the price that I paid in MDE. That aside the GYE girls were all fantastic. No worry about being scoped or up charged. Which reminds me that you all should be contacting me when you come to Guayaquil so that I can take you to the spots and have you not get robbed drugged or killed the struggle continues.

Am I flying into Guayaquil or Manta? you can take a bus from GYE to Manta (AC, USB power and Wifi - $7 Reina del Camino bus line) about 3.5 hours one way. if you fly into Quito you can fly to Manta for $50 one way (to long for a bus from Quito). Last I checked you cannot fly from GYE to Manta.. you would have to fly to Quito first, then Manta

So. The main reason I was in Guayaquil was because I was on my way to the Galapagos. While you can get to the islands by cruise ship, the only two cities in the entire world you can get there by commercial flight are either Quito or GYE. Since I did not think going from 1,000 feet above sea level to almost 10,000 feet would be good for sexual performance, or anything else related to altitude sickness, I chose GYE. Now, the reason I was in GYE for more than 1 night was because unless you happen to live in Panama, Colombia, or Peru, it's next to impossible to get a same day connection to either Santa Cruz or San Cristobal. There are no evening or late afternoon flights to the Galapagos; they all stop departing at around 1 PM local time. So unless you can arrive in either Quito or GYE before 10 AM, you're going to have to stay 1 night at minimum. Going to the Galapagos is not an easy process because you have to get a transit control card from a special desk first (cash only), then have your luggage checked a 2nd time, in addition to regular security. It's not the kind of layover where you can just get to your next flight within an hour time window.

So, as most of you know, GYE has a horrific reputation. On my flight over, there was actually a very pretty Ecuadorian in the seat next to me who spoke perfect English. I could tell her nationality because I saw the front of her passport. Maybe late '20's early '30's with dark skin. So I strike up a conversation with her. Shortly into it she mentions having a novio, so I don't steer the conversation in the direction I would have preferred. Oh well, life happens. I ask her if she is heading back home, and she says "yes. " Then she asks where I am having, and I tell her a little about my travel plans. Obviously she knows based on the time of our flight that I cannot possibly go to the Galapagos the same day, and mentions "Oh, so you are staying in GYE for at least 1 night?

The conversation carries on, and she goes "I don't know if anyone told you, but this city can be rather dangerous. " I assure her I am already well aware of that, and did not really intend to leave my hotel all that much. We continue talking and I ask if she stays in a safe barrio. She says she is in a gated community, but every time she goes out she is concerned there may be a shootout between two rival gangs, and she could get caught in the cross fire.

She actually said she was thinking about moving to Bogota because the people there are so friendly, and there's lots of music events. It took a concerted effort on my part to prevent myself from bursting out in laughter when I heard that.

Anyway, she eventually fell asleep during the flight. When it landed, I told her it was nice meeting her. She concurred, and lastly said "I hope nothing bad happens to you while you are here. " I brush it off because I already know the risks.

Then as I'm exiting the plane. Most everyone in front of my looks like a traditional native of South America. I'm taller, I don't have the Morena complexion, flared nostrils, or any other features from the Andean / Mercosur regions. I'm looking ahead as I'm walking with my baggage, and people are exiting the plane one by one. I couldn't tell if it was the captain or flight attendant that was saying goodbye to everyone, but to each person he is saying "buenas tardes" more than several times in a row as people are exiting the plane. Then when I get to the front right before the exit door, he looks at me ad says "buenas suerte. " I guess he thought I didn't speak any Spanish at all (wrong) or would not notice. But, this is another indication to me reaffirming the same.

For me, I chose to use the shuttle offered by the hotel I was staying at. So the driver was awaiting inside the airport with the hotel logo on the sign with my name on it. It wasn't a formal shuttle like a minivan with multiple passengers; it was just for me. Anyway, she doesn't speak any English, so during the entire ride to the hotel we speak in what Spanish I do know. She does tell me the city has lots of crime, but we discuss other topics as well. Now, I'm not really making eye contact with her during the ride, I'm looking at the window to observe the city.

And I saw people going about their daily business. Talking, walking their dogs, or riding bikes. If people were terrified they were going to die by flying bullets, they would not be outside engaging in normal routines. They would not leave their homes except to go to the grocery store or possibly to work. They would be holed up inside like the days of Covid in 2020. This to me is a good indication. We even drove by one area that looked like a large roundabout, and there were dozens of people who all looked like they were 20 years old, standing around laughing and smiling. I don't think it was an outdoor birthday party; more likely just a congregation of college students. But if they were afraid of being robbed or victimized by criminals, they would not be huddled together and having a good time.

On top of that, I was amazed at how clean the city was, especially compared to other South American cities. I expected to find dilapidated buildings, rust and graffiti everywhere. This was not the case, at least in the areas of the city I saw. Even the roads were in pretty good shape. Yes, you will see more shoddy construction and poor maintained areas when compared to a place like Augusta, Maine. But overall it really did not look that bad.

As for the girls. Yes, Party Ecuador / Party GYE is a legit agency. They can offer to drive you around to one of the various spas, or you can request to bring a girl back to your place. In total will likely cost you more to bring a girl back to your place.

I was in GYE for less than 3 nights, and spent more time in the Galapagos than I did on the mainland. This is where things start to get a bit interesting. While I did not search google very extensively, I'm not aware of any publicly accessible sites that advertise damas for the Galapagos. But, I'm sure some of you have heard that taxi cab drivers can open the doors. Well, in none of the 3 islands can you rent a car. Car rental is literally unavailable in the Galapagos. Now, I think you can rent a scooter or bicycle, but those are only good for short trips, and not that safe given wild animals crossing the street as well as the road conditions. So, no Uber, no rental car, and many places are simply too far to walk. Time to jump into a taxi.

Most of the taxistas won't speak much English. But my Spanish is maybe a 4 out of 10. So I start chatting with the driver. Now, I don't want to ask the wrong question to the wrong person. What if the driver is a religious fanatic, or looks down on people who engage in "that kind of behavior. " I don't want to wind up stranded on the side of the road, or have the cops asking me questions. So I'm trying to find an opening to start the conversation. So at some point while we are talking I say "Entonces, escucho LOS Galapagos es muy seguro. No hay problemas con ladrones?" he goes "Si si, es muy seguro. Muy tranquillo. " So I think "Ah, here is my window. " So I go "why tienen prepagos?" Basically with the theory that if he has a problem with the industry, that he would associate damas with the same "class" or lifestyle of people as robbers or street crooks, they "all go into the same pot" of trouble makers. And since I just asked about landrones literally 1 second ago, it would make sense for me to have a similar follow up question. But, if he DOES NOT have a problem with damas, then maybe he actually knows some.

His reply was to indicate he did not know what the term prepago meant. So I use an overt word that is more formal in Spanish, and he goes "Si si, tengo algun amigas!" "Quieres una?" And we start talking from there. He sends some pictures to my phone later, and I set up the appointment. The girl I saw was visiting from the mainland.

Now, I'm not sure I would recommend the same approach in GYE; primarily due to safety concerns. The Galapagos has less than 50,000 people total amongst all the islands, and with that small of a population it's not surprising that there aren't that many girls available. Most people on the main islands know each other. But, they have expensive cruise ships that sail around and dock at the islands. Plus on Santa Cruz they have a nightlife scene with some bars and other places open past 2 AM.

I did see one hostel that specifically had a sign out front saying "In order to avoid additional charges, anyone who is not a registered guest of the room may not enter the property. " I did not have any trouble at the particular place I was staying at, but it all depends on the hours of the front desk, and how close of an eye the staff keeps on what is going on. For all I know they had that sign out there because most standard rooms are only available for 2 guests, and some young idiots on spring break were paying for a single room, and cramming 6 people in there, rowdy all night long and trashing the room in the morning.

The food in Ecuador often features various types of seafood, and you can get ceviches and stuff. Dishes containing eggs are also very common. If you like fast food, I love Smash Burger. You can get it from Rappi or Uber Eats.

Regardless, the scene in GYE is going to be infinitely bigger than in Galapagos. One thing I will tell you. When you arrive in GYE, even though a visa is not required for many western countries, the immigration officer may still ask you what you are doing there. Best to have an answer ready. Safe travels.

Been a while since I have posted but I have been on the go quite a bit. I just returned from a 24 day trip to GYE. It rained more than I'm used to but it was not to bad. The weather was warm but I like it like that. It has been about 2 years since my last trip there. I had the bad luck to arrive just as the civil unrest was going on. This hurt me at first as I like to hunt at night. I hooked up with my old friend Doom and he was very helpful. I went to my usual places 10 8 and Solome. Doom also got me into a Spa. Drinks for the girls is $2.50. I really liked it there as I went many times and the girls seemed to like me $25 for trip to their room. The difference for this trip was Doom started sending me girls to my room. They were all young and pretty. The price for a hour was $60 and $10 for the taxi. Most of them stayed longer than a hour. At this point I will compare GYE to MDE. Price wise that was double the price that I paid in MDE. That aside the GYE girls were all fantastic. No worry about being scoped or up charged. All were GFE with BBBJ and mucho kisses. Really sweet girls. BTW the BBBJ was never asked for it seems that was a given. GYE is a port city the seafood was great. Taxi are cheap and the airport is a $5 taxi ride to the city. That sure beats the long ride from the MDE airport. No stupid check Mig form and going thru customs was a breeze compared to the usual 90 minute to get thru customs in MDE. As a public service I must say if you go to GYE you should contact Doom. He is a rather imposing figure who is an ex Marine who knows the city and most of the gangsters completely. All that said he is a good friend of mine but don't think for a minute that my friend ship with him clouds my take on him. I have been to MDE since 2010 more times than I remember but after being drug-ed and robbed to many times MDE has lost I's luster to me. Plus the influx of clowns have not helped the city at all.
