Guys -based on my experience in Quito I was giving references of places to a friend planning to go to Galapagos with a Quito break on front and back end of his trip. I highly recommended Habanas to him around the block from Reina Isabel. He did his homework and told me it is showing as permanently closed on google maps and their FB page is gone too. Can anyone confirm if its true and if yes, did it relocate? What's new address?

I continue to read the forum, but posting without being in Quito seemed pointless on my part. I thought it best to pass the torch to those who are actually on the ground visiting the chongos. I have been to Quite 3 times, first time started in the Reina Isabel Hotel near Plaza Foch, has 3 girls come by, no problem, reserve for 2 persons. Chicas has to show ID to front desk, cost about $70/ nt. Then found out the Hostal right next door literally steps from are. I. And the hostal is only $17 a night pp including breakfast. Brought chicas and was NEVER charged more than $17/ nt. I tried to email this Hostal for a res but never heard back. So would say book a night in RI then go next door or walk around there are lots of other Hostals in the area that are under $30/ nt.

I'm in Quito for a few days before a Galapagos island tour, wasn't planning to monger here at all but decided to have a look yesterday.

$8 dollar bus to downtown Quito from airport, stall by the exit. Then about $3 taxi to apartment. I have a good girl friendly apartment using airbnb round the corner from plaza Foch, a studio but spacious and $20 a night. Plaza Foch has a lot of nightlife but midweek doesn't seem that busy.

Currency is dollars, bit more expensive than Colombia.

Tried a few atms and of the ones I tried banco Guayaquil was the cheapest with $1. 5 fee and I withdrew $300.

I spotted two street walkers two streets down from plaza foch but they looked very bad, like homeless.

International Club 122 - near Foch area, day time club, closes at 8 pm, need original passport to enter, a copy or other ID isn't allowed. I didn't care enough to go back to my apartment and get it.

Club 155 - in the north, a night time club, also need passport to enter but they don't keep it. $3. 50 entry comes with beer, didn't buy another drink but I think beer $5 and cocktails $10, got here about 9 pm on a Wednesday and it's busy, mostly locals, 2 other gringos and probably 30 girls? Straight away spot a few I like, I've just come from Medellin and compared to the short term options in centro casas or clubs much better quality here though bit more expensive. First two I speak to are Venezuelan and I wanted a girl from Ecuador so I moved on. The others I liked on arrival seemed to have disappeared after that so hanged about for a while, shortly after I arrive 3 girls did a routine on the two poles and around the tables for 15 or so minutes and an hour later three different girls did the same, good stuff, one dressed as Harley Quinn, bat and all. Find another I like who is from Ecuador but she was pushing for a threesome instantly, then a drink, then for me to room her all far to quick for my liking so I left it. International club 122 - $3 entry with a drink, they keep your passport here, scan it and put it in a draw full of the local Ecuador Ids. At 1. 30 pm on a Thursday it's packed with locals and probably 30 girls, quality is below 155, none really jump out at me, stay for 1 drink and leave, definitely some doable girls but I'm picky and would rather save myself, was more girls from Ecuador in here. The site below says you have to quarantine in a govt housing / hotel, so I am not sure about being in a govt housing for 14 days. If I can pick my Airbnb in kennedy park and bang chicas daily that is different, but NOT govt provided housing. Below is from the US Embassy site about non Ecquadorian citizens, such a gringos.

Stayed mainly in the capital, Quito and Ecuador's commercial hub, Guayaquil.

In terms of mongering, nothing much to write home about. Women quality is rather low. At one of the best known clubs in the capital around 25 women, just one doable.

But if you like and can afford a top quality panama hat, Ecuador is the place to go, more precisely the town of Montecristi where the best panama hats in the world are hand made. It could set you back easily 4 thousand usd. But they are a beauty.

I just got back from Ecuador and getting in and out with a negative test or a vaccine card was pretty straightforward and easy. I did not partake in any activities. I went to club 122 (calle Bolivia) a week ago, my first time in a club in Quito. The entrance is $3 including a drink, either a beer or a soft drink. At the entrance they asked me for an ID, I just had a copy of my passport and refused it. I went back to next day with my passport, they take it at the entrance and give it back to you when you leave.

Last time I went to 122 Bolivia was 2 years ago on a day when it was packed, perhaps uncharacteristically, with dozens of hot women. I went there on Monday, by bus from the center (the C4), at 8.30 pm.

Crossed street back to airport side as I previously used Aero Transport Services for airport to hotel shuttle, however last ride at 2230. Took Uber to my Airbnb for $25. My Airbnb near Av. General Eloy Alfaro and Italia for $19/nt.

Night 1: Due to pandemic, Quito seems to shut down at midnight during the week. This is restaurants, shops, bars, chongos, etc. However, learned through Uber driver that Dollhouse, VIPs, and Insomnia are open late.

I chose Dollhouse. $3 Uber ride and I am there. Rough neighborhood, club is behind secured gate in a parking garage. Nothing outside let's you know you are there. Uber driver waited for me to enter. Knock on gate, entry by security. Passport check and vaccine card check required for entry. After entry, I saw that this place is beautiful and there is a nice party atmosphere. BEWARE: This is a clip joint, but with lack of options, nothing I can do. $12 beers (12-oz), $12 lady drinks. No pay as you go. Credit card accepted with 3% service fee, however if you pay the girls's session via cc, the surcharge is 30%. New kitchen installed, and the cook graduated from culinary school and has worked around Ecuador as a chef for 12 years. Food was awesome! Beware: if a girl orders a drink with red bull, you will pay $12 for the Red Bull and $12 for the liquor (considered two separate drinks). For session it's $120 for 1 hourwhich includes room and girl fee, but you must have bought the girl three lady drinks, so the bill is actually $156. Venezuelan, Colombian, and Ecuadorian girls there. They are cute, but nothing to justify the price. $90 tab in drinks and food later, I catch an Uber home. Bar has in-house taxi if needed. Can barfine girl out of bar, but didn't ask the price. Face masks not required inside of Dollhouse. Open until 4am or until crowd starts leaving.

Day 1 early: at noon, headed to factory district to Club Gente Bonita. $4 Uber to club. $3 entry gets you one free drink. Passport check and vaccine card check completed. I am the only foreigner here. Everyone else working class workers from factories. Hours 1100-2000 M-SA due to COVID. You get two hours in club, sticker affixed to passport cover. This will be checked, and I was told that I overstayed but could exit and renter with $3 cover / drink again. I only saw Pilsner and Pilsner light beers here, no other drinks or liquor. Chairs are plastic. Mask use heavily enforced! After taking a drink of your beer, you will raise your mask back or escorted out. Waiters and bouncers enforced, and girls were snitches if they saw someone violating the rule. From 1-2pm, girls are in and out as the bar provides them lunch, so pickings are slimmer during these hours.

FICHAS: In Mexico this means lady drink, in Ecuador this means the session and room.

One pop ficha in Gente Bonita is $12, paid directly to girl who walks it over to cashiers cage. You don't get a lot of time to speak to girls unless you are a regular. A lot are pump-and-dump. Younger girls rush, older girls are slower and more sensual. Rooms are basic bed, and no heat you less the girl has her own heater. Again, this place is primarily for factory workers. 5. 3-hour short time motel. Some Street walkers walking around or standing on the sidewalk, but nothing to do by western standards.

Despite the area, there were pretty doable girls in each bar along with some that were not up to my taste.

Personal note: The high high altitude in the mountains doesn't usually affect me, but I learned something new about myself this trip. FYI: I write my reports for me. I write reports so that I remember places for future trips. You may use my reports as you see fit, but I do not write reports for other people. I don't do bang-by-bang reports. I go where I want and do what I want to do. If gringos don't go to places I've gone, I'm ok with that. My reports are for my memories.

Currency is the US Dollar. $1 USD gold-colored coins are quite common to receive for change.

Safety: I had no issues. I felt safe throughout my trip walking late nights through town, but I also saw some neighborhoods that I wouldn't want to walk alone in.

English is not commonly spoken here. Spanish competency is important!

Taxis are abundant but there are no meters. Negotiate your fare before entering vehicle. Uber is present here but currently illegal. Uber drivers risk seizure of their vehicle which requires a $1000 fee to recover your vehicle. It's problematic in the daytime, not so much at night. For this reason, Uber drivers usually ask that you sit in the front passenger seat.

As I continue writing the report, know that passport and vaccine card checks are done in every bar and chongo, regardless of quality level. These were each checked EVERYWHERE!

Gente Bonita, Caf Rojo and Club 122 enforce a two hour time limit for the duration of your visit. They put your entry time on a sticker. Cafe Rojo and Club 122 affix the sticker to your shirt. Gente Bonita affixes it to your passport cover / cdula .

Additional places I have visited:

1. Mitad del Mundo (Equator) - located in Quito, the views on the compound were amazing. $5 entry with passport and vaccine card. The main tower structure stops allowing visitors inside at 4:30 pm. Everyone must leave the compound by 6 pm. The Planetarium is also on this compound.

2. Plaza Foch. It is similar to Lapa, and to less an extent Parque Lleras. Bars and clubs with a great deal of nightlife.

3. Club 155 VIP. It is the sister club to 155. $20 Daily Promo gets you entry, a soda or water, and a ficha. The club is gorgeous inside, but not many girls and not the high quality level of girls that you get at 155. There is a full bar and a beer costs $3. 50.

4. International Club 122 - I would call this the primary daytime spot as it opens at 11 am. Located in the city center, $3 entry gets you an 8-oz beer. It's the same old dumpy place that prior visitors know, but damn do they have a great lineup! Ficha is $20. For Uber, look for International Club 122.

4. Swing bar. It is located on Bolivia, the same street as Club 122. Entry is $3 cover and gets you 1-12 oz beer. Nice place, clean. 10 girls and few customers. Lady drinks $4. Ficha $17. At about 3, this place became busy with more customers and girls arriving. I prefer here to Club 122!

5. Mosq - $3. 50 entry and 1-12 oz beer. Opens at 3 pm. $20 ficha. Beautiful club but was packed by 9 pm. Girls looked classy. 40 ladies working. Put Mosq into Uber; Mosc takes you to the street, a nice upscale neighborhood with bars and restaurants, but not a chongo. #lessonlearned.

6. Black Box Privare Club. This is a late night club that only gets going late when other bars are closed. It is behind a steel gate that is opened by security. The times of operation are from about midnight until 6 am. $5 cover, $15 ficha.

7. Apple Night Club. It is a nice club in quiet residential area. The bars, restaurants and nightlife are like a more-upscale Plaza Foch. Entry is $3 cover which gets you 1-12 oz beer. Nice place, clean. 10 girls and few customers. Nice lineup! Ficha $23.

It's almost the end of my two week trip to Ecuador. I may explore a few more new-to-me bars or otherwise just settle and relax my last few days.

Important Side Notes:

1. Electricity. Quito uses 110v, USA style outlets. It is a good idea to being a surge protector with USB ports.

2. Condoms. In every club, high end and low end, condom use is mandatory and strictly enforced by the girls. Despite me offering great tips, etc., I had no luck talking a girl into BBBJ in any club. However, those same girls that were strict in condom usage inside of the club were more open to BBBJ in my apartment. This was after I built good rapport with them after talking to them over several days.

3. COVID Test. Staying next door to a major medical building, I found an office that provides COVID rapid tests for $45. Tests are completed on a walk-in basis. The results are sent in pdf form to email and WhatsApp number. (Also, there are many dentist offices around town but I didnt stop in to find prices for cleanings, etc.)

4. Passport checks. Every club requires original passport or cedula, no exceptions. Only Club 122 held onto the passport and gave it back to you upon exiting. This has been their policy for years. All the other clubs looked at the info page, then matched your name on the passport to your vaccine card. During the Passport Check, many clubs do hold up your passport info page to the security camera to record its details before giving it back to you.

5. More upscale restaurant & bar area. Plaza Foch is for the younger crowd. Instead, I preferred the crowd in the more upscale area of Quito with gastropubs, brewery bars, etc. which is located in the area of Avenida Moscow.

The final new (to me) club that I visited for purposes of the report for this trip is:

Club 220 - Located near Quito University, it is located directly across from Parque Italia. $3 entry gets you an 8 oz beer. $15 ficha. Business card given by club hawkers throughout town says that the club under new ownership and recently renovated. However, the club doesn't look that way. It still looks very dated and leather-like sofas are very used. However, the club is quite clean. 6 girls early, more girls and customers arrive after 6. I walked here from Club 122, about 20 minutes.

Airport check-in for AA was very easy because I completed everything online in VeriFLY before my trip. I used my phone for the boarding pass. When I arrived at the airport, I walked straight to Security and then Immigration and passed through without incident to my gate. At 2pm, the airport was fairly empty.

Johnie.A ficha is a token you are correct but is more apt to say that it is a form of the house to control the "independent contractors" time and give the customers a way for them not to complain later, you see back before the ficha system in Ecuador every girl set a rate for herself and either people took it or not, however, people starting complaining "this girl agreed to do XYZ and did not and she is charging x" so this caused customer dissatisfaction and the establishments in Quito started the "ficha" system the house sets the rate, you pay for the ficha at the front desk, you go with the ficha to the girl and you get a "service" now she may try to hussle you for "extras" because the "ficha" is the basic service but really it is a way to mitigate some of the arguments and chaos when you get horny men that have drank way too many beers, it never took hold in the coast per se, they have other methods of control over here but Quito and the mountains pioneered the system.

I visited Quito and visited a few places. Here is the rundown of what I found. I visited all of these places in the mid afternoon / early evening.

Relax Spa is in a slightly different location than where a google search will lead you but certainly walkable. $30 hh and $50 h. Starts with a lackluster massage. It is open on Sundays; this is important because most places are not in Quito.

155 is Strip Clubesque as they have poles for dancing and there may be some nude dancing going on. There is a $25.50 fee for the ficha and a drink. You must go through a metal detector. The yellow receipt is for them, and the white receipt for you. I went on a Monday afternoon and there were easily 40 or more ladies. Most looked to be 7+ and no fat ones, I can speak to this as that is specifically what I was looking for.

Hostel el Trebol is not on the map I have seen. I was told that 5 ladies work here. It is supposed to be $40 for the room and the lady for an hour. Just note that there will be upsells later. The price was $15 to the ladies but I think I was getting hustled for $20. There were around 20 ladies working in the midafternoon. There was a reasonably thorough pat down here. Parking was $2 and they show your passport to the camera. There were all different types of looking girls here but the place was so large that I didn't actually get an up-close view of most of them.

So since we were loose without any adult supervision what else is there to do except plan a trip to the Chongo since Saturday was the last day chongos were open we decided to take our happy asses over to the world-famous Club 155 I visited this club like 12 years ago at the time there was nothing to brag about since then they remodeled twice I believe.

To me, it was a pleasant surprise to go, and now I see why Ryan despite the lack of options compared to Guayaquil prefers this one club over all others. So sit down children so Doom may enlighten you, humans, Quito and Guayaquil have always had different cultures even though it's a small country both cities have the same population, Guayaquil is larger though because of the port and the drug trade and immigration, Guayaquil has always had a reputation for violence, as most cultures with some African influence via the slave trade, there has always been a sexual openness compared to the mountain culture, that an a political tradition of free market, compared to the mountains who prefer centralized government, also the economics focus of the regions are wildly different the coast relies on farming, fishing, industry, manufacturing and imports. The mountains rely on government, ranching, and farming of grains, and what little there is of the military-industrial complex is located in the mountains. All of these factors have produced some divergence of cultures, adding to the conservatism of the catholic church in the mountains, especially in Quito where you cannot go more than 4 blocks without seeing a church, and needless to say, mongering has also been affected. At the same time, prostitution is legal in the whole republic there are differences in how patrons ply their hobby.

The coast has a reputation for horniness, this reputation is not unearned the 75% AIDS rate in the entire country comes from the province of Guayas so the stats back that up. The mountains do things differently, even though they were the first ones to legalize the trade, they always had an attitude of sex workers never being seen and never being heard. And now we have Club 155, if there was anything that this particular culture was capable of designing, to fit its culture perfectly, and the way the sex service it provides, this club is it. There is nothing like it anywhere in SA or Ecuador. I believe that as a traveler of over 40 countries, the entire infrastructure of the place is designed for people to move in peace even though the mountains are slightly more peaceful than the coast, the ambiance of this place takes it to another level, it has a parking lot, metal detector not the hand wands, but actual airport metal detectors, they take your property and give you a security tag to pick your bag up in case you got weapons in your belonging, they have soundproof rooms at the entrance in case you need to call wifey and tell her you are going to be late because of work, or whatever excuse suits you, the ficha system in place you pay $25 you get 2 receipts one for a drink and one for the girl, so the ogling of the sex workers or the fighting that goes on sometimes in the coast, the typical alpha male posturing, that goes on when competing for a girl or group of girls goes out the window in Club 155 also the tension is gone.

Allow me to explain in Guayaquil irrespective of the fact that I live there and am entrenched in the culture you have to accept certain realities did I mention that most of the hike in murders stats in Ecuador have gone on in the coast and specifically in Guayaquil this is why on some boards you will read the pejorative guayakill, the realities cannot be ignored gangsters like sex workers, that is here and anywhere, there isn't one strip club in the US, Europe, Turkey or Ecuador that does not have a crew spending their ill gotten gains in said establishments or that some of the member of these criminal organizations have romantic partnerships with said strippers or sex workers, same for Guayaquil except that you have the added tension that you do not know if the pimp or boyfriend of your favorite sex worker might be in the establishment keeping and eye on her, murders on sex workers after they get home are not uncommon and more than one simp has taken things with said sex worker to a perceived romantic level with said consequences ending in violence, so there is always tension and posturing in Guayaquil or coastal clubs because you really do not know who is who or who is romantically involved with who, so people err on the side of caution even if their behavior is not what polite society would call normal, but it's a survival mechanism born out of the forever state of violence in the coast, this is why people hire me, more for security than anything else, this on the other hand does not exist in the mountains, because of hypocrisy and Catholicism that culture has a low opinion of sex workers they are there to serve a purpose no more no less, so there are no mountain version of simps trying to be pimps or mac daddies like you see on the coast far too often, the fact that the club forces the tab has been paid up front filters the lower class an average worker in Ecuador has to put in a whole day and half of work to pay $25 so people come in and just chill no need for BS, chaos or posturing, you walk up to your favorite girl give her your ticket and off you go enjoy the show, there is also a constant rotation of girls dancing on the different stages since everything has been paid for the girls do not see the need to hustle or pester people for a drink, there is also no tension between the girls because everyone has a room ticket, I am sure the popular ones get taken and fuck more than the rest, but generally speaking the tension has been lowered with the system they have.

So the spectacle that you get where women are pulling their hair over a client or people fighting to get in a room to fuck a girl that looks good does not happen here, at least in 155, the music is amazing, not that you go to these establishments for good music, but I had forgotten what good dance music felt like as a native from MIA I am used to a human DJ or MC working the floor not some half high / half drunk guy that puts on Virtual DJ in a computer and starts trying to get with the sex workers all night long, Club 155 has both a DJ booth and an MC working the crowd, there is also an amazing restaurant inside called "Kastillo fast food" The menu is not that bad the prices are a bit on the upside, but that's to be expected inside of a club, it certainly nor expensive by western standards, as it's typical of mountain culture they have a preference for hard liquor over beer, they have these interesting combos that if you buy say a "Johnny walker blue" label you get 2 sessions with the sex workers that and other interesting combos with bottles, I am not interested but some on this board might be. Another thing that I found interesting after interviewing the girls is that not everyone fucks, you see you can use your ticket for a sex session or a dance in a private room with a pole, as someone who has seen the mindset of the coast and seen the constant row of want to-be pimps and players, the fact that there are people in this country that rather sit down and watch dance and not fuck is odd, then again it suits me that is why I will rather be in Guayaquil. Since I had a happy ticket after paying the entrance fee, I felt the need to use it, the girls did not find me appealing, Ryan never noticed it, how could he, he is white as hell, blonde with blue eyes, the cultural idiosyncrasies will escape him, but the girls took notice, even the guards notice it as I came in, everyone had a jacket or boots, I had tennis shoes and a caribean style shirt, everyone was trying to blend in and be respectful, I was mad as soon as I walked in because I had to to be parted with my weapons, I was not happy, but that is the rules of the club, people were trying to stay away from each other I was a moving mass with a purpose and was not above yelling at people to move out of my way, so with my different cultural tendencies I did not find much chemistry with the girls, there was also I believe a cultural bias you see guys from the coast are seen as aggressive and a lot of them tried to get away with shit inside the rooms such as getting bbbjs, something that is not common in the mountains, sure guys want them but they never get it, in the coast women acquiesce because if they don't they do not get repeat customers in the mountains customers will accept a no, so the sex workers do not feel pressured so naturally girls avoided me, the girls ranged from dime pieces to plane janes interesting thing is that none of the girls working the floor were Quito natives, because of previously mentioned Catholicism it's rare to find sex workers from the mountain regions, if a woman decides to pursue this line of work she probably will work in Colombia or Peru, mountain culture generally shuns women in their community for being sex workers so all the girls were from the coast, Colombia or Venezuela.

There is an passport and cedula check. It's $3 entrance fee. The fecha is $22. There's an outside area with a few tables. There is a guard outside at the gate when you get in. The place seems about 200 feet. It's a very small place. The place looks very modern though. There were about 10 or so women there. There were less than 10 customers there. There were a few that were so so in looks. There seemed to be a few colombian and Venezueluan girls. I picked a girl who I thought was Colombian. She later said she was Ecuadorian. Apart from mongering, I wanted to visit the touristy places like Mindo, Banos etc.

After reading thru few posts on FB, I am trying to back off with renting car which seems to be risky as well as expensive (nothing less than $500 for 5 days).

In Medellin I get to meet a chica (Laura) who has car and drove us to near by places. I recall giving her 150 kcop for session, then another 100 k to 200 k for driving us.

She speaks English and very good attitude.

Wish I can find some one like that in Quito. But I am seriously looking for any driver with car who can take us to the touristy places during the day and night to these clubs.

I don't mind paying another $100 or $200 extra for this service along with taking care of the expenses of that driver.

Any leads are really appreciated.

Can you please check your DM.Rental cars are 5 min drive from the airport. The rental places have a office in the airport and get you to and from the car lot offsite. Quito is close to 45 min from the airport. Some car rentals will allow you to use your own "extra" coverage. Either a pre paid plan or coverage from your CC. Taxi or Uber from UIO to city center will run 25 to 30 one way.

First time visit to Quito coming up in a few months, and I have a few newb questions. I've got two nights there. I was planning to hit Club 155 both nights, unless it turns out to suck, in which case I was going to redirect to MosQ.

1. The whole thing with the $25 fichas. This is for 15 minutes right? So does that mean at 14 minutes some bouncer guy pounds on the door? Can we just specify to use two ficha tokens for the girl (I. E. $50 value) and be uninterrupted for 30 minutes?

2. My understanding is that each ficha token comes with one beer? Can you give one of the beers to a girl? Or do you have to spend specifically on a ladydrink, like in Asia?

3. Do the rooms at 155 and Mosq have a toilet and shower in them? Or at least a sink? Or is it just a bed? Please don't bite my head of Mr. Doom Sir. I am just asking.1. I was originally going to take the new metro line to Club 155, which is very close to the last stop. But I started watching some newer YouTube videos, and reading Quito related news on the internet from the last year. I had no idea about the cartel wars last January, and the associated violence. Now I am wondering whether to take a taxi there, or go at all. MosQ is at the western end of the Mariscal district, so I think it might be safer.

Then again I'm a 6 ft tall black guy with a mean face so that's kind of intimidating. Just go to the spots and go straight home if you're worried. I know the Laura that you mentioned; in Quito, you will not find a girl driver that is going to smash and drive you around. Quito is not like Medellin in any way. Just grab an Uber during the day and sight see during the day. Then grab an Uber and go to the clubs mentioned at night. The Ubers are fairly inexpensive and if you got a wingman, then it's even cheaper when you split it.
