My business is interent-based and I'll also need a reliable and cost-efficient way to phone the the US 5-6 times daily. I know Skype may be a possibility but I prefer to be able to do it from my cell (again, not relying on Skype). I will be bringing down my iPhone, which is already jailbroke. Or, if need be, I will buy a phone in DR.
PolyI use a phone purchased in the DR. The storre clerk said it cost the same to call locally or the US; 22 cents a minute. Not sure if he is BS me or not. I call the US once a day for an average of 20 minutes and two 500 peso cards last more them a week. SIM cards still work 6+ months later but unused minutes are lost after a couple of months. It's easy to call the US with a Clero phone. Just deal 1 the area code and the number. And the coverage is good in Sosua.

A box 24 of la pela costs about 1200 to 1400 pacso.
The box of 4 C pills cost a little more.
I drink White hennersy and it works for me.
My friend swears by the Domincan rum.
The blue dimaonds are the only ones I see for sell on the streetThe problem (for me) with La Pela is that they do not split well with a pill splitter. I do not need the entire pill. When I try to split them they just get all crushed up. Don't have that problem with Cialis.
As a side note, you probably shouldn't trust any pills being peddled on the street.

Bring a few zantac or prilosec in case you get heartburn from any of these pills. Last time I took lapela I got horrible heartburn (acid reflux). I try to stick with the name brand Lilly Cialis.

How many pesos does Cialias go for again in the pharmacies? Just trying to get an idea so that I know how much I want to spend on them.I'm not real sure of the cost of Cialis but I buy the Lapela, box of 24 for under 1500 pesos from a phamacy only. I only need a half of pill once every 3-4 day but take a whole pill on day one and there after it is on, once I get pass the real bad head ache the first moruning after taking a half or whole pill. I get this side affect with both the cialis and the lapela. Does this happen to anyone else?
I just want to say thanks.De Nada. It was a good sale, Jetblue had a flight on May 16, JFK non-stop to SDQ, arriving around midnight for $95US, one way fare, all taxes and fees included in that rate.
I paid $115US for a one way fare on a different date, non-stop JFK to SDQ.

I didn't know what I was doing when I first started using ED meds (don't have a prescription), and my first time ever using them was in the DR. I was mixing Viagra with Cialis not truly understanding that each of them work differently (V for for about 4-5hrs; C for a few days) and got to the point where I could not bust a nut, LOL.
But I guess taking a 20mg of either C or La Pela on day 1 and then not touching the stuff for another 3-4 days will probably be enough. Although, the recommended dosage is 10mg (max 20mg) per day.

I think it was supposed to be a joke. Just think about how pills are manufactured in large batches.Oh no, this time no joke. I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry. I learned that in the manufacturing process pill dosages can be homogeneously distributed, if a pill has a stripe that eases the pill to be cut in half then dosage on each half are similar, if not, the pill is not intended to be cut.

Is it possible to get the automatic editing software to stop changing zIDz (ignore the z's) to I'd? Am I the only one irritated and sometimes confused by this unnecessary change?
Is it possible to get the automatic editing software to stop changing zIDz (ignore the z's) to I'd? Am I the only one irritated and sometimes confused by this unnecessary change?Yes, it is annoying. It seems like the site uses some kind of cheapware automatic grammar correction that has many bugs. I can't say I blame Jackson, and it probably does eliminate many errors.
There is a way round it. Post your post, then proofread it, and you still have about 10 minutes in which you can edit the post and make the necessary changes. This way you can override the automatic grammar correction.
For example, if you are asked for an ID card, just look at this sentence and you will see ID displayed correctly.

The problem is that I most often see it in posts by others, and I can't make them edit their posts. Nor would I want to. It would be nice if the software didn't make this erroneous "correction" in the first place. Ah, well.
I will be on my first trip ever of this kind (adult vacation) to DR for few days in July. I will be traveling from US.
I have some question to experts to help me out there.
(I tried searching but get lost with so many threads)
1. How do I carry money ($) to DR. I will be staying in AI resort and have to pay them money.
2. How to carry any kind of medication (vitamin C, V and some over the counter tablets)
Can I put them in check in luggage?
3. I am planning to use ATT cell service and will be staying in POP.
How is coverage there?
4. I will have to make international call other than US. I plan to use Vonage.
This Vonage will have a US number, so I will use ATT to call the Vonage US number and the connect to other destination.
Any one has used this?
5. When you call from DR, is it possible to trace where you are calling from?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Use money belt for larger cash amounts. Always lock extra cash in a safety deposit box. AI. What a shame, you still have time to cancel it and re-book flight and girl friendly hotel or condo or villa separately.
2. How to carry any kind of medication (vitamin C, V and some over the counter tablets)
Take them in carry on in an original box with a prescription if you have got one.
Can I put them in check in luggage?
Yes, but why? Is it 20 kilo of vitamins?
3. I am planning to use ATT cell service and will be staying in POP.

Check with ATT.

No, I am using local Orange number.
5. When you call from DR, is it possible to trace where you are calling from?
No doubt. Your calls are traceable.

Thanks in advance for your help!Be aware that international roaming can be very expensive, so find out ahead of time how much it costs. Also make sure that if you have any kind of data plan on your phone that U-turn off the Internet, otherwise it may run up a huge bill in the background.
For money, you can carry cash in your pocket (best to use a wallet) , or you can take an Automatic Teller Machine card and withdraw cash in the DR, (but tell your bank ahead of the trip) , or you can pay by credit card at the hotel. If carrying cash to change in the DR best to carry a convertible currency like dollar, pound, euro. Do NOT change cash at the exchange booth INSIDE the airport, as they will rip you off for 10% or more.

You can get data plans with orange or claro, (daily, weekly or monthly plans are available). You may have to buy a modem from Claro, to access their data network from your computer.
Depending how long you will be staying at the all inclusive hotel, you may want to bring some $1 dollar bills, which you can use to tip waiters, waitresses or bartenders at the All Inclusive Hotel. A $1 or $2 dollar tip will be appreciated (many Europeans don't tip). Everything is usually included when staying at the all inclusive hotel so no need to walk around with large sums of cash. Every AI hotel I have stayed had safes in the rooms, you can leave your cash, credit cards, passport etc, in the room safe and have a small amount of $1 dollar bills when you go to the hotel's restaurants or bars (tipping is not required, but even a very small tip is usually appreciated). Tip the maid as well.
Vitamins, aspirin, tylenol cold, benadryl tablets and spray or cream benadryl for insect bites, insect repellant, sun block, I pack in a toiletry bag which goes into my checked luggage.

The bank (at least in Canada) always keeps a reserve of Dominican currency nowadays. After that I just use the ATM's in Dominican. The exchange rate is decent. The only thing you got to watch is if the ATM is out of money. Apparently some keep your card till the bank is open the next day. Never happened to me, but apparently it can. I avoid street vendors that claim exchange. Don't like to carry large amounts of currency on me. This worked for me in other countries as well.

I will be staying in AI resort and have to pay them money. This is your first mistake. 99% of all-inclusives WILL NOT allow your new "amigas" through the gates of the resort unless you buy them a bracelet, which can be $100 USD / day.
I strongly suggest you stay at a "chica friendly" hotel, or you will be miserable.
What town are you staying in, and I am sure we can make a proper reco for lodging?

Day pass at casa marina all inclusive hotel in sosua, years ago was about $40-$45. Years ago I had a room at the barcelo capella all inclusive hotel in juan dolio with a wingman and the barcelo charged about $50US for an amiga to check in with us and stay overnight (she ate and drank all she wanted, no extra money had to be spent feeding her). All inclusive hotels are usually safe, secure and quiet, with all the food and drink you can consume included in the price.
Another option when staying at an all inclusive hotel is to rent a second room for sex. Years ago Rocky's in Sosua used to rent out rooms for under $20US. Use the second room for sex with pros and then return to the all inclusive hotel to eat and drink all you want, where your valuables in your room are safe from the pros. Tradewinds apartments in sosua rented from Marco at Rocky's use to go for around $35US per night, two guys (staying at an AI) taking turns using the apartment, cost would be about $18US per night per guy.
I have stayed at numerous all inclusive hotels in Dominican republic and mongered and not been miserable.
If you have a rental car, you can have sex in the car.

Call me paranoid about not trusting hotel safes, but there are incidents that happened, which involved theft from hotel safes. I generally only take out enough for a couple of days and store some of that in hotel safes. This way I don't have a lot on me at any time, don't have to worry about losing a lot if my safe gets robbed and have enough for a couple TLN's if I feel so inclined

I have seen stories about the ATMs taking more from the accounts than the person withdrew from the machine. I have seen stories of ATMs not dispensing money but taking it out of the person's account. I have seen stories of the ATMs keeping peoples' cards. Maybe someone will rob you on the way to the ATM while you have your card with you and then take you to the machine at gunpoint and make you withdraw everything. Who is to say? Nothing is ever going to be 100%. I guess I have been lucky all of these years not to have experienced any of these adversities. I definitely would not linger on "if" too much though. Plastic is cheaper. My ATM card takes 2% markup and refund the ATM fee. I called my credit cards company and one of them was only taking 1% markup.Who do you bank with? I bank with citi. The most I have paid is a flat $5fee for currency conversion at the low of "Bid" v "Ask." However, ATMs are a fvckin nightmare. $2-5 foreign transaction fee just for sticking it in, plus standard fees, low conversion rate minus 2-3%, limits of as low as 3,500 pesos and risk of card revoked if not notified some banks of traveling abroad. Not to mention, the double swiping and extra items on bill. Somebody in Brazil owes citi visa not me about $2,500.
I budget what im going to spend plus 10% liqour factor. I put most in a safe and only cary what I want to spend that day, an emergency visa for gifts and now the new passcard in a clip. I generally stay at chain hotels and get a cheap motel for tricking as I hate constantly having to biych proof a room. I have never heard of a safe in a chain hotel broken into. I have seen dudes leave it open. Hell, some Marriott's exchange at 3-5%.
Only card i plan to use now is Amex paying for lodging and never an ATM.

Why not rent a modern clean apartment that does not keep track of your activity, or stay in a hotel that does not charge for guests?
You left that scenario out.
PS: Your numbers are WAY off, Rocky's now charges $25 for a room without A/C, and the cost of a day pass in an AI is way more than $45, more like $60 for a day pass, and $75 for overnight. Tradewinds apartments are $50/night in High season. @Jao - So please do me a favor, when you have the irresistible urge to go correct experienced members on this board again, please do your homework with up-to-date research.

If you have a cheap hotel and flight package and you want a conventional sun-and-beach holiday with two or three outings for sex to spice things up, then an AI can be a great choice. There are some real bargains available at present in the quiet season.
If you want to spend your holiday mongering, fucking lots of chicas and socializing with other mongers, then staying in an AI is a mistake. You will end up wasting money on booking short-time places to fuck, on transport, and over-overpaying because you are not with guys who will show you the ropes and tell you how much you should be paying.
If you are already committed to an AI and cannot back out, then chalk it up to experience and do the right thing next time after reading up on the message boards. You can still have a great time, but what you save on your hotel / flight package you will lose elsewhere unless you only have a few sex adventures. It also depends where your AI is. If in Sosua, at least you won't have to pay for taxis, but it is a lousy hotel.

I don't want to advise on which method to use to have cash available in the DR as different experienced mongers all seem stuck on their own system and nothing can sway them. But for those who favor using bank cards, like myself, I would suggest avoid using ATMs but draw your cash inside the bank at the teller counter.
Disadvantages:
- You will need your original passport as I'd so head straight back to your hotel afterwards to lock up your passport.
- There may be a queue (line) if you go at peak periods.
Advantages:
- You won't suffer from an ATM malfunction. These are a lot more common in the DR than in the first world (eats your card, debits your account without issuing any cash, etc, etc)
- Safer to draw the cash and put it away in an inside pocket inside the bank than out on the street.
- You can ask for whatever denominations you want. Small bills and coins can be hard to find in the DR otherwise. If I draw 15, 000 pesos, I usually take 2000 in 200s. 1000 in 100s. 1000 in 50s, and 1000 in coins and the rest as it comes. That way I am never out of change which can mean overpaying.

Banks and Western Union have accepted it in place of a US Passport book. Only one Claro stand refused to accept it, so I went to another that did. Lock the passport book in the safe, and carry the passport card.

Although I have never read about an incident of someone's belongings missing from a hotel safe that is not to say that it has never or will never happen. But how often does it happen?I have not seen that reported on this board. Banco Popular is reliable for ATM machines, but you will get best value for money always withdrawing the maximum allowed, usually 10, 000 pesos, each time. Even so, it is best to use the ATM machines during banking hours, just in case something goes wrong. Always make arrangements with your home bank to use the ATM card before you go.

PS: Your numbers are WAY off, Rocky's now charges $25 for a room without A / C, and the cost of a day pass in an AI is way more than $45, more like $60 for a day pass, and $75 for overnight. Tradewinds apartments are $50 / night in High season. atJao. So please do me a favor, when you have the irresistible urge to go correct experienced members on this board again, please do your homework with up-to-date research.Maybe you can learn to Read, you have posted before that you smoke a lot (correct me if I am wrong) , so maybe you should lay off, or is it for glaucoma and thus your inability to read correctly what I wrote. I said years ago for all my prices. I have also posted numerous times that I have not been in sosua in years.
Casa Marina Beach and Reef (located in Sosua close to all the action) for June 2012 is $99US per night for two people in a room (for a 7 night trip) , for three people in a room the price is $139, apply promo code travel5 on orbitz and these prices will be reduced by 5. Book a 7 night air and hotel package on orbitz during low season (September) and use promo code travel100 to knock $100 off the package price, the per night rate for two people in the room will be $64 ($32 per person) for the casa marina all inclusive in Sosua. Two guys doing this in off season will each pay $32 per night and share a room at an AI, with all you can eat food and all you can drink beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol). Each guy can then rent a room at Rocky's, for, you say $25 per night and they now have two rooms (one for fucking pros, the other safe and secure with food and drinks included) for $32 + $25 = $57 per day. How much is the New Garden, around $60-$70 per night with only breakfast included in that price? Anyone can check these prices on Orbitz, http://www.orbitz.com/travel-deals/orbitz-coupon-promo-code/
The original poster said he is staying at an AI, I don't know if it is a normal AI or a sex AI. The guy has made up his mind to stay at an AI. I am not here to tell him not to stay at an AI (I did not tell him to stay at an AI, he made that decision on his own). How many times have you stayed at a normal AI in the DR? Seems you only visit Sosua, so maybe you know the current rates, for the calypso hotel in Sosua and the rates for the cabaña that currently exists in Sosua.
You say Tradewinds is $50 during high season, it is currently not high season. Two guys staying at an AI in Sosua during high season, not having to buy food out in the street, all they can eat and drink at the AI and splitting the condo for an extra $25US per person to use with pros and having their valuables safely in the AI room, is one way to monger in the DR (its not the only way to monger). Casa Marina is not an expensive AI in Sosua. Not all AIs are the same price. When I have the time I will have someone in DR call various all inclusive hotels and ask them the prices for day passes and for extra guests in the rooms overnight (renting out a second hotel room, or splitting the cost of a condo or using a cabana are ways to avoid paying for day passes or over night stays at the AI).
My last stay at an AI in Juan Dolio, seemed to me there might be 4 pros staying there, two light skin, big titty sisters from santiago and a few others. Some guys score for free with other female tourists staying at the AI.
Fortunately or Unfortunately not all mongers are like you. Some guys aspire to more than pumpkin head and pumpkin head two, who you claim used to service you in some hair salon in Sosua. Getting serviced in a Sosua hair salon is not much better than getting serviced in a rental car (at least in my rental car I know no one has been sitting in the seats shooting loads in the previous 24 hours, a cheapy BJ hair salon in Sosua, who knows whats on the towels that are used to wipe you off or that you sit on).
Some people travel with family or friends who may not monger and thus staying at an AI is a way to squeeze in a vacation where one person can hang out at the AI and the other person can go out and monger.
And your statement saying the guy will be miserable in an AI is based on what?

I always carry a US Passport Card when I travel to the DR, and use it as a cedula. Banks and Western Union have accepted it in place of a US Passport book. Only one Claro stand refused to accept it, so I went to another that did. Lock the passport book in the safe, and carry the passport card. Thanks Prof, that is a new one to me. (As you know I am not a US citizen). Strange that I have never seen such a thing mentioned on any of the boards or hard mongers speak of it, but it sounds a good idea.

You guys that don't have them Pacsafe has backpacks and other products that help keep your shit more secure than those fucked up letter box safes that places like Sea Breeze and the Medellin Mansion used to have or maybe still do. The Milockie device you can put on an existing safe to keep someone with a master key from looting your shit. I carry the Backpack the hip pack and the Milockie device with me on all trips. Use a bicycle cable to lock my suitcases together usually to a bed. Haven't got anything stolen to date but I had two sisters who stole anything I ever had as a kid so I am used to hiding shit. LOL.
Nothing is theft proof but gives me a piece of mind even in a rental car locking my shit in the Pacsafe backpack and locking it to the frame of the car.

DO NOT even have this conversation, you will get shwag sprinkled with pizza oregeno and stand a VERY good chance of being set up and extorted + locked up. I enjoy a toke@home But in DR ZERO tolerance laws prevail for The Gringo.
Please watch Midnight Express and stick with Rum and Chicas. I am quite serious, you were warned! You didn't post that you smoke a lot, I am wrong in what I wrote.
Sorry, I am too old for that, and my chiropractor bill will far exceed the $20 savings.

So please do me a favor, when you have the irresistible urge to go correct experienced members on this board again, please do your homework with up-to-date research. For six months of the year, May 1 to October 31, Tradewinds has the following rates:
Pricing starts at $225 US per week when booking 2 weeks at a time with additional nights at $35.
$250 US per week for one week stays with additional nights $40.
$200 US per week for stays of 4 weeks or more with additional nights at $30.
There is a $30 per week cleaning fee on all weekly and monthly stays.
Above prices include all taxes and POP airport pick up.
DAILY RATE: $45 US per night (less than one week)
http://www.rockysbar.com/condos.htm
I said years ago the rate I paid was $35 per night. In low season currently for a one night rental the rate is $45. For a one week rental in low season the rate is $250, which works out to about $35. 71US per night (cleaning fee adds about $4. 28US per night for a one week or more rental, however free airport pickup will save you some money) , you say my numbers are WAY off.
I liked the tradewinds apartments (and dealing with Marco at Rockys was always a pleasure) good pool that I used to use at 5am with chicas from the bars, neighbors were tolerant (unlike the palms up the street from the tradewinds).
PS, I have no interest in returning to Sosua and I don't know where the original poster is staying (he said north coast) , so I gave prices I paid years ago (to use as an example) and I clearly stated the prices were from years ago or what the prices used to be. Checking some of the current prices on the internet, the prices have not increased very much over the prices I paid years ago (two guys splitting the cost of a tradewinds condo to use for sex, is about $20US per day for a one week rental during low season, in my prior post I said about $18US).
For those of you with Bank of America, you can use Scotia Bank ATMs for free. I also have a citi account, I used to fund it just before travel, I now mostly use it for small local charges and withdrawals. Citi's fees shot up and they charge you even at their own ATMs in some countries. Even with the current fees, It still beats using your main bankcards or credit cards and run the risk of getting your account compromised.
This past trip I went to Western U and exchanged funds, took a daily allotment and left the rest of the pesos at the hotel.

Depending on how you roll it is all a game. If you want serious GFE then a couple of bucks every now and then may work out. Sport fuckers would not understand how guys who go for GFE roll. Let me say GFE sex is way better then your average sport fuck. I personaly do both. It takes more work but often that is enjoyable. So what if they have a DR boy friend. As long as when you are there it is your pussy. It does not matter. When dealing with pros think of often there pussy's are being used. It is 6 of one half dozen of another. Maybe the WU guy lives in sex prison USA and this chica rocks his world. Whois getting over a 50 plus guy banging a 20 something girl for 50 bucks or the chica. At the end of the day they both are getting what they want.

It happens all over the world. This is nothing compared to having a dick in her pussy and talking to her sponsor. Many of us mongers have experienced this.
Let us talk about what the guy gets.
1. He gets the satisfaction knowing there is a pretty little young girl waiting for his call, his visit, his support etc. So every day he is a smile on his face thinking about her. So the depression of not getting anywhere with american girls is off his mind. One less guy taking anti depression medicine.
Should he be worrying every day about what this girl is doing in his absence? By experience he knows that even steady girlfriends cheat sometimes. Unless you stalk her everyday it is difficult to know what she is doing.
Talking personally when I was young I had a real beautifull young GF here is USA. We were together almost all nights except when she went to visit her parents out in the country. Sometimes I will go with her and sometimes not. The times when I did not not go with her she was having sex with her old BF. How Do I know? One fine day she told me she is exposed to STD and asked me to get tested. Her gynaecologist tested her and it came positive and he told her to advice all her sex partners to get tested as it is usual in USA. I got tested but got negative and I wanted to know who gave it to her? Then she opened up and that killed our relationship. The moral is you cannot trust anybody.
2. This guy is not breaking his bank in order to support a girl in other country. Even one date in USA will cost him much more.
A dinner in a nice restaurent cost min $100 with wine. Add maybe a mivie or club and easily more than $200.
3. It gives him an excuse to take vacations and also satisfaction knowing there is a girl and good sex and company waiting for him. Also it is cheap compared to taking GF from USA.
I took many girlfriends on cruises and trips and the cost is exorbitant although the girls chipped in.
If he asks for our advice, the best advice should be be carefull that she does not take him to the cleaners. Second advice is do not even worry about who she is with in his absence. I know it is hard to do.
Otherwise let him be.
About not breaking the bank:
I'm trying to find the article, but there was some guy who had a girlfriend from an eastern block country and sent her all his money and then went on vacation to be with her. He was drained of all his money, and when he was broke she left him there. He had to borrow money from the American consulate to get a ticket back home.
These girls will bleed you dry if you let them. But it really is not my problem, I've just never seen the scam up close and personal like that.
I've screwed other girls who had their Novios paying for everything and I knew it. But they never ran the scam with me inside them.
I also know of another working girl, who has the American guy, but she really loves the guy (he is the father of her kid) , but he only sends a little help for the kid and never visits. She gets teary eyed when I talk to her about him. She's a good person, just caught up in this life. What I can't get is basically her family is pimping her out. Her mother could work (she must be late 40's or early 50's) , her brother is capable of earning but they let her go out night after night while they stay home.
I do not know why anybody would be surprised?

Any help is appropriated.Chupar is the verb to suck, and you can say "chupame sin condóm, por fabor". Another word they use a lot for condom is "preservativo". Another verb for to suck is "mamar". Of course this refers mainly to a baby sucking the mother's milk, but is also used in a sexual context.
Pussy is usually "toto", though you might use "vagina" (pronounced "bag-in-a"). So you can "mamar toto" for DATY.
However, personally I would go easy on approaching a girl (sorry, b****) and discussing "two or three" pops off the bat unless you know that you and she have a good sexual connection and relationship, in which case it will happen naturally. The Spanish would be "me gusteria venir tres veces contigo" (I would like to come 3 times with you).
Ditto with positions: Just let it happen naturally according to how your bodies fit together and what feels good. The same goes for the DFK. A kiss is "beso" and tongue is "la lengua", lips are "los labios", but whether she will want to kiss with tongues depends a lot on the chemistry between you. There is not much point trying to DFK with someone who is not really into it.
It is probably just my point of view that you will get better sex by concentrating more on the mental part of the relationship, the flirtation, the courtship, telling her she is beautiful, intelligent, and all that crap, than by negotiating in terms of physical actions to be itemized and billed independently. Other people may not agree, but I can only say what works for me.
Not sure what CBG means, but I would not ask any of them to perform a Coronary Bypass Graft as their knowledge of anatomy and sterile technique is usually rather basic and it could put you at risk.

She used to work at BB's and if I posted her photo I would bet half of you mofos have banged her.
Frannie, wouldn't it be chupaRme sin condoN por faVor?1. No, chupame. Second person singular imperative form.
2. Yes, condoN, with the accent on the second syllable. It was correct originally, but the famous ISG spell checker mangled the sentence and I missed that after overriding the corrections.
3. Yes, faVor, but I wrote it with a 'b' to show the way Dominicans tend to pronounce it. Many Dominicans write it "fabor", though technically that is wrong.

My understanding (I have stopped using chupar with dominican women) is mamar is the word the dominicanas are knowledgeable about (quieres que te mame?). Unless they have been to Spain (some do!). The same with Joder (to fuck in Spain). Which just means being a pain or similar (estoy jodiendo contigo. I am messing with you).

1. No, chupame. Second person singular imperative form.
2. Yes, condoN, with the accent on the second syllable. It was correct originally, but the famous ISG spell checker mangled the sentence and I missed that after overriding the corrections.
3. Yes, faVor, but I wrote it with a 'be' to show the way Dominicans tend to pronounce it. Many Dominicans write it "fabor", though technically that is wrong.Okay thanks. Now please explain how you override that stupid auto correct. I know you explained how to do it once before but I forgot, LOL.

I think that WU makes most of their money from dominicans who live and work abroad sending money home on a regular basis. People call this remesas here. From Wiki: "A majority of the remittances from the US have been directed to Asian countries like India (approx. 26 billion USD) , Philippines (approx. 20 billion USD) and China (approx. 23 billion USD). Most of the remittances happen by the conventional channel of agents, like Western Union, MoneyGram or Xpress Money Services. However, with the increasing relevance and reach of the Internet, online and mobile phone money transfers from companies such as Remit2India and Xoom. Com have significantly grown"
And
"Remittances are not a new phenomenon in the world, being a normal concomitant to migration which has always been a part of human history. Several European countries, for example Spain, Italy and Ireland were heavily dependent on remittances received from their emigrants during the 19th and 20th centuries. In the case of Spain, remittances amounted to the 21% of all of its current account income in 1946. All of those countries created policies on remittances developed after significant research efforts in the field. For instance, Italy was the first country in the world to enact a law to protect remittances in 1901, while Spain was the first country to sign an international treaty (with Argentina in 1960) to lower the cost of the remittances received" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remittance
From the World Bank: "One interesting difference between the CBO data and the World Bank data is the diversity of remittance outflows from the US. In the CBO study, remittances to Mexico dwarf remittances to other countries such as China and India (Table 2). Mexico is still the largest recipient according to our bilateral remittance matrix, but China, India, the Philippines and other developing countries also show up as large recipients".

Again, I need some advice from experts here, please?
This is my fits trip to DR / Any Spanish speaking country.
I am trying to pick some Spanish, but I need some words for mongering. I need the slang's they use in DR and ask some question politely to the girls (not rudely).
1. How do I say " I want to have 2 or 3 pops with you"
2. BBJ.
3. CBG.
4. DFK.
5. DATY.
6, Positions like doggy, cow girl, reverse cow girl.
Any help is appropriated.1) Quiero venirme dos o tres veces,
Quiero chichar hasta venirme dos o tres veces.
Quiero singar contigo dos o tres veces.
Quiero hacerlo dos o tres veces contigo (I want to do it with you two or three times, they know what to do (hacerlo) means)
Pene is penis, bicho and ripio are street words, equivalent to cock.
3) same as 2 but instead of sin use con.
4) beso frances.
Beso de lengua is more used.
5) quiero comerte / chuparte / mamarte / lamberte la popola / chocha / crica / vagina.
Doggy: ponte en cuatro mami.
Cow girl: trepate / sientate.
Reverse cow girl: trepate / sientate y ponte de espalda.
Anal: meteme una jumbo por el culo mami hasta que me duela
Okay thanks. Now please explain how you override that stupid auto correct. I know you explained how to do it once before but I forgot, LOL.You post your narrative, and then you go back and use the edit button to correct the corrections.

Second person singular imperative? I don't know. I never, ever had any lessons in grammar when I was a schoolboy, but in the US everyone does sentence diagrams and stuff that I don't understand.
Wikipedia says: The modern Spanish verb system has fourteen distinct complete paradigms (I. E. Sets of forms for each combination of tense and mood) , plus one incomplete paradigm (the imperative) , as well as three non-temporal forms (infinitive, gerund, and past participle).
I hope that clears up any confusion!

Checking some of the current prices on the internet, the prices have not increased very much over the prices I paid years ago (two guys splitting the cost of a tradewinds condo to use for sex, is about $20US per day for a one week rental during low season, in my prior post I said about $18US).To further correct your out of date info about Sosua; Marco sold Rockys to Rick a few years ago, if you thought Marco gave good service you will really be impressed with Rick's.

I just wonder how much I should send to my girlfriend per month, while working in Europe.
In Colombia the minimum salary is like $300 US, an engineer makes only 4 times as much, then you have people who make very much, but they are few, according to Colomian statstics.
I think $500 US could be fair, since it not to much for me, and $1000 would make me fell like a sugardaddy.
I have never done this on a regular basis and always avioded girls that ask for money- period.
Anyone who can give me advices?
One idea could be to pay real bills, like the her our / rent, university, healthcare security. It would make sense.
Well I have try and see how it works out.
Have you ever written a report about a trip to the Dominican Republic?
Seems from reading your prior posts you possibly operate a wh_rehouse or escort service in Denmark, and you have solicited for working girls on the ISG (from South America) to bring to Denmark.
I am a little dubious regarding the genuineness of your question.

Well I have try and see how it works out.Your GF might have other sponsors like you sending money. I would think sending $500 is too much.
Always send money if you care to as donation with no return. There is no guarantee she will be your gf forever.
In my experience once you start supporting the girl she takes it for granted that she got her hooks into you and can get away with anything.
Once it happened to me with a Phi girl. She stopped her studies, quit her part time job without my knowledge. Money support was for her studies and upkeep sent monthly. Besides that I would take gifts whenever I met her and gave extra money in person.
I went to her hometown and she was making a farce about going to school in the morning and coming late afternoon. I insisted on her school attendence records and told her if she did not get it I would go to the school and enquire. She had no choice but to come honest giving many reasons. By this time I had lost confidence in her. I just pretended as if it did not bother and we had a good time together.
However once I came back I stopped the support money in spite of her pleading and begging. Later she did tell me she has another sponsor and she does not need my support.
So just be carefull when you send support money. Just do not want you to be emotionally hurt if things get ugly.

Before leaving I always make sure I have at least 100 to hand to the porter when I get dropped off at the airport. Never have to go through the extra curbside baggage scanning and most of the time get to jump everyone else in line waiting to get their boarding passes.
100 pesos is a drop in the bucket considering (as Mani said) you are banging their young and beautiful tenderonies on the cheap.

Sorry for being so harsh but it is the reality of it all.I would never check a bag in the DR, so there were no worries that my bags would not get there. I also got on the phone with USA officials as they searched my bag, which scared them. So I was not concerned about their power or ability to prevent my luggage from getting to the USA.
My problem is that I feel I was set up. In fact, another passenger even asked why they were picking on me. It was blatant.
And by the way I did not go down there and fuck the way you implied. As I stated the environment in Sosua was not amenable to my tastes this time and I actually did very little with the lackluster women in town last month. My suggestion is that guys (such as Save As Pros and Manzi) who are willing to let DR airport agents, porters, etc, act unprofessionally, unethically, and prejudiced, should should not monger outside DR. You types are the ones who cause prices to inflate, girls to become disrespectful, and locals to extort money.
I am not sure if Save as Pros and Mani have been elsewhere besides the DR but it is not the end all of the monger world.
That comment that I "should know how things were since I was there a month" was flat out disrespectful.
Save as Pros you were there this last time when I was there. We might have to meet somewhere to settle this one! Serious on that.
But back to my retort. It is silly in my opinion to give in to these people. I have filed a complaint with the USA Embassy and hopefully those agents will lose their jobs, if not already.
That is the way to handle things not by acquiescing but by putting these unprofessional people in their place. Save as Pros and Mazi are the type of people who ruin a mongering destination.
SSSS, you totally missed the point, you are in THEIR FUCKING COUNTRY amigo, you play by THEIR rules in a third world country. The complaint to the USA embassy is a joke, the porters are laughing at your gringo ass.
Fucking up a mongering destination by giving a baggage handler two freeking dollars and respecting their albeit fucked up ways of doing things? Smoke another one Bobo.
For the record I have mongered in about 15 countries and have traveled to many more and if you acted like you did in many other countries they would haul your ass off to jail, they could have done that to you in the DR, you were lucky actually. Whether you like it or not,"this ain't Kansas Toto".

Well I have try and see how it works out.The starting salary of a doctor here in the D. R. In a hospital is 18k which is round about 500 dollars, just to give you an idea.

That was some BS that Manzi just spat! Monger rules about paying DUDES! What's next, is he going to tell us we need to pay somebody to aim our cock* into the hole? This is ridiculous and exactly why I, and some others I associate with, stop posting on this forum. Too many guys jacking threads and flaming posts.
I posted a warning to real men about the crooks in the POP airport. Manzi comes in and flames me with some shit about how "real" mongers pay other MEN to carry their bags a few feet! Then SaveASpros said he gives these men 100 pesos! DAMN! That is a racket.
Seems some people are wimps, simps, and bitches, while others are mongers and then others are actual players. Anybody coming on here trying to tell other guys to pay MEN is not a real monger, and certainly not a player. When did that shit become part of the game? It never did. It is just Manzi and Saveaspros flaming.
DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT TO FLAME ME AS IF I AM A NEWBIE. I could care less if you have been to the DR a hundred times. I did more in a month than most guys have done in years! So Manzi and SaveASPros GO to HELL! You better leave me alone before this shit turns into some real, not internet, gangster stuff!
'Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience. '
&8213; Mark Twain speaking on Manzi's "MONGER RULES" aka PAY THEM OFF!
LOL.
SSThanks for the entertaining roid rage, instead of answering my question. Guess what everyone is saying about you is true. This is suppose to be a forum where guys of similar interest share info. For the common cause. Not a forum where you can hide behind your keyboard and make up stories about how many girls you screwed for free, and how they carried you down the street, praising your sexual skills.
I've already had other mongers PM, explaining what to expect. Now don't bother responding. Don't want to take any time away from your previous eruption.
pop airport agents are all thieves. first, the porters are in league with the cab drivers. for me the europa driver dropped me off right in front of the porters. they grabbed my bags out of the back of the taxi van without permission. i had to fight them to get my bags back.they always try to take the bags without permission. personally, if i don't want their assistance i just tell them "no thanks, i'll do it myself." never occurred to me to try fighting with them.
i knew i was target then.yeah, well, fighting with baggage handlers gains you respect elsewhere on your travels or in the us?
i highly suspect the agents were told to harass me. these dominicans work together to steal from us.
and yep, they thoroughly searched both my bags. the entire time i went on a tirade calling the agents monkeys, thieves, and worse.checking bags for contraband items is standard. i have had stuff taken too, like toothpaste or nail clippers. now this business of calling them monkeys-have you tried this play out in other countries or in the us and found it successful?
next time i plan to give them bananas.again, i would have thought this would be interpreted as an insult. see news reports on throwing bananas at the euro soccer championships, which is usually interpreted as a very insulting gesture by fans against certain players of the opposite team.
they confirep001ed numerous items.well, here we have the crux of the matter. exactly what did they confirep001e and did they offer any reason?
i lost a lot of respect for dominicans on this trip. the incessant begging, lying, and stealing basically spoiled my vacation.sorry to hear that your vacation was spoiled.
ss is still angry.ss needs to ask his mommie to give him a big hug and make it better.
I've had expensive cologne and a pair of leather Gucci sandals stolen at POP when departing for Miami. What I did was blame myself because I got caught slipping. I don't take expensive cologne to the DR anymore now. I put my shoes in different bags so they won't get the match to the pair. We just make adjustments and move on. The porters move fast and assume you want their services, but expirience has taught me to move faster and say" No thanks".
The vendors and salesmen working us in the DR are a challenge to me to ignore them. They want you to stop so they can run their pitch. You don't have to play this game. Its not like they are going to tackle you and force you to buy something. Put your walkman headphones on and nod your head to the music, this really pisses them off but so what. They beg, smile, even insult your momma but who cares, you don't play the game they a running. If they let me come to their island and fuck their beautiful women for next to nothing, they have the right to atleast TRY to sell me something. But I can always say no and move on.
As far as the threats you are issuing, thats not cool bro. You asked for info before your trip and the guys helped you and wished you good luck, now you want to get Gangsta, not cool bro. The "Monkey" comment was very low and could get you in a very bad situation in the future if repeated. My advise would be to drop that word from your language when insulting someone.
Respectfully your, Gogo.

I have ben travelling to Santo Domingo since 1998. Airport was very different, no a / c, no "walk of shame exit", no control of people working there. There was a lot of guys outside ready to take your bags from your hand as soon as you enter the taxi or pick up area. It happened to me once, they took my bags I gave one dollar to the guy. Next trip I do not let the guys take my suitcase and politely tell them no thanks I can handle them. I learn from my experiences to do not let the things I do not like to occur again. I have learned all the things I need to make my trip a painless experience. Do not let anything or anybody spoil your vacation. A vacation hour will be costing to you from $10 to $50 or more per hour (if you divide all expenses of your trip between the hours of your stay) so always manage to avoid things going out of control.

Please give them $2 worth of bananas, they will thank you. No, sorry don't do that, it will affect the dominican peso to dollar exchange rate.Sunset Strip is a little naive thinking he can get away with shit with the taxi airport mafia, just ask this dude.

Checking bags for contraband items is standard. I have had stuff taken too, like toothpaste or nail clippers. Now this business of calling them monkeys-have you tried this play out in other countries or in the US and found it successful?Couple of years back, I was at Gatwick, flying to Toulouse, France. I had just landed at Heathrow from Boston and had to take the bus to Gatwick. Not having any sleep, I was irritated and then the agents took away some stuff from my toiletries pouch, that sailed through US customs without a glitch just a few hours before, which incensed me. The short story is that I was not able to win it, unless I was willing to take the train across the channel to get to France.
I find the security screening a nuisance that varies continuously from country to country, especially in EU, where it is done by a wing of the Police. One time, even in the DR, a screener, just before boarding an US bound plane, wanted to to remove something from my toiletries bag and on calling a supervisor, it was fixed. Frankly, I find the US to be the easiest, even though I do not like so much Govt. Power to keep me "safe" and make Dick Cheney and the Blackwater dude Rich!

Greetings Everyone,
I recently cleaned up this thread by deleting a number of reports focused on racial issues.
This action is in no way a reflection of the merits of any author's comments.
I am aware that the vast majority of references to racial issues are legitimate attempts to advise other fellow members about local racial issues and prejudices. However, past discussions in the Forum has repeatedly demonstrated that the subject simply cannot be discussed intelligently, in any form or for any reason, without being misinterpreted and without starting flame wars.
Please do not engage in discussions about race or racism in the Forum. Please read the Forum's Posting Guidelines for further information.
This cleanup process is not perfect, and it's possible that I may have inadvertently deleted a few otherwise legitimate posts. If you find that your own report was also deleted, please don't take it personally.
Thanks,

The dominicans I know and call friends are not beggars nor liars. I do not frequent the tourist areas anymore, may apt is located in a lower middle class area. Most of my neighbors are poor (but prideful) , for neighborly things like helping me with a package I do not give nor am expected to give. I do hire neighbors for odd jobs (I hate painting) and pay them accordingly.
My landlord and his family are now very close friends, I am always invited down for a drink (almost daily) , beer is flowing freely and I never have to come out of my pocket. His friends have become my friends and they are the same. They are what I would consider middle class and treat me like family. I've been living in this apartment for 1 1/2 years now and have found extremely gracious, friendly warm people. In NJ / NY, Since I was a child living with my parents have I had neighbors like this.
In the tourist areas I feel tourists get a bad image of the dominicans, this is where a lot of disposable income is entering into the DR. So we get to see the lowest of the low in terms of hustling, begging, etc. Also, if you look at the P4P sex scene (which is what we are here for) , in the USA it is much more seedy, full of scam artists. I've not had, what I would consider, any real problems. But with that said, any experience monger knows, the girl is out to get as much money as she can and we all need to be watchful.

Whether you like it or not,"this ain't Kansas Toto".Spot on, Man911. Take off your guns, SS; ain't nothin' but a bunch of poor people trying to make a living. Give or don't give, up to you, but don't have a stroke over this trivial shit, dude. Far too many good things to appreciate to get upset over trivial shit like this.

I estimate the cost of acquisition to be $2, 000 to $3, 000!Temporary residency which is good for a year, paid an honest lawyer who speaks english about $1000. Led me by the hand thru the Bureau of Migration and then to another office. The 2nd stage is a residency card and a little less money, but when I go to renew after two years next March, I will go to a Bureau of Migration office here in Santiago and the cost will be about 3000pesos, I think. Won't need a lawyer. Residency is good to have for a drivers license, health insurance, and to show Dominicans I am living here in good faith. BUT. I'll always be a gringo.

When I visit friends in Santo Domingo Este, I always encounter good folks who have helped me with directions when lost, and directed me to the store, and so on. I have not encountered the negative aspects when outside the Zona Colonial or tourist areas. I should clarify this and say the Dominicans are no worse than other groups, including North Americans who usurp the term American. That is another story. Good and not so good people exist everywhere. Also, when shopping, I have had several cashiers return money to me because I misunderstood the amount and paid too much. Folks need to travel outside the tourist areas, meet real people, and enjoy the country.

Hey, with what you have you can work legally?Yes, you can legally work with residency, as in anywhere else in the world. I believe that the dr1 dot com site provides some information.

The problem now is that you now have to begin the process for residency in your home country so if you are already living in the DR you will have to incur the cost of flying home plus paying a lawyer more than before due to the more complex application process.

My live in girl has been getting to be a pain in the ass. I take care of everything, she has no needs and very few wants. But lately she's been pissing me off, not taking care of the things I buy her (thinking I will just buy her a new one). Her BB broke (because she did not take care of it) , I did not buy her a new one, instead I bought her a 695 alcatel, makes calls and texts. Oh no baby, esta cosa es feo como yo puedo usar eso, soy fina. With this and some other things, she tells me I humiliate her over money and she is going to find a job and an apartment on her own.
I tell her go ahead. 2 days later she's coming back crying for me to take her back. I tell her if she comes back she has to get a job and pay for her wants, her needs I will take care of. I know a lot of people in DR. She say's she needs a resume, I get this kid from the centro de internet to make one for her. She is "looking" in the newspapers, etc."I need to know someone to get a job" no problem, I know the head of quality control for Tricom, he say's he'll get her a job in the call center. Next she only wants part time, no problem, my buddy has openings from 8 to 3, now she's running out of excuses. Lastly, she complains, why am I so interested in her working, so I can go run around while she's working. I tell her baby, I do that now, I don't have to hide it. I tell her I don't want a lazy woman, I've had that before and where is she now, on the street. Do you want to be out on the street? Get the job, feel good about yourself and I cannot humiliate you over money any longer.
More complaints about if I run around then she can, I tell her if I ever catch you doing that, your out on your ass with nothing. She's out right now getting her hair done for her interview tomorrow!
I had a girl in the DR like your girl. There must be something in the water. It seems they are not use to good men. DR men treat them like shit and they lap it up. My girl was a great fuck and I liked her. However in the end she lied and who know what. She is now on the street and still does not understand why. Good luck I think you are going to need it. Once you find a chica with good character you will make love instead of having sex.

Make sure you keep your pimp hand strong, meaning make sure you lead and she follows. That's good that your making her get a job. She needs to understand that money does NOT grow on trees and the value of an honest day work. These honeys get spoiled real quick cus all they see is you paying for everything or you always having money when needed. BUT they don't see the hard work that your doing to provide her a good living.
BTW I'm glad you put your girl in check when she told you she's going to get her a piece on the side like you do. It sounds like she's testing you but at this point in yaw relationship she should know where her boundaries lie. Hell my girls here in Vegas knows not to test me like that and I'm in America.
So tell your girl that Ol' Coolie said to stay in a woman's place, stop trying to test your patience and be cool. Ya' Dig!

She might be getting her hair done to impress her new boss to get in his good graces. Putting her in school to learn english or a good trade might have been better. Please don't think these Dominican dudes respect you're friendship enough to NOT screw your girl. We are all outsiders no what they make you believe, thats why I could never trust a Dominicana 100. Cheating by all parties is a given in some parts of Dominican society and Dominicanos will most likely pull rank over an outsider. With this said take it for what it is bro. Have your cake and eat it also, but never think a Dominicana won't fuck up.
I appreciate all the positive comments, public and private, and to those PM's (you know who you are) I'm not going to abuse my connection. He's doing me a favor.
And Coolie your right she is spoiled, but being my main girl got her that way (so it's my fault I guess). I like to live comfortably, and she's been with me since early 2010 and has grown accustomed to that. I work from home and she see's that I don't work that hard (which I don't) but I've set my self up to get to this point. I enjoy my money and what it can get me. An old friend of mine told me, the casket doesn't have pockets. (in other words, you can't take it with you) I got out 4 to 5 times a week and like to have a good time, she usually gets to go along.
If she keeps going this way she will miss out and on to the next one.

Have you ever written a report about a trip to the Dominican Republic?
Seems from reading your prior posts you possibly operate a wh_rehouse or escort service in Denmark, and you have solicited for working girls on the ISG (from South America) to bring to Denmark.
I am a little dubious regarding the genuineness of your question.I was investigating that, but it seems very stressful. I have a work where I can work double shifts and then take long payed vacacions. Love just such a much more easier option.
I have contact with two girls. It seems they get along by them self. Diana have her own business and claims that her former husband and father to her child supports her, so she doese't want any money.
Estrella, is proud and she wants to marry me. I will work in my country and visit her as often as I can and invite her to Europe during our summer.
So those issues seems have solved themself.
I have met girls, especially colombianas that can decive you totally, it seems to be in their blood. I met a model, she invited me to see her walk on the catwalk in a fancy commercial centro, like Oviedo once in Medellíand, after having nice conversations for months. Then I found out she worked as an internetsex model. I also understood she worked as an escort.
No big surprise.
Actually I have become friend with two internet sex models. I may sound odd. But we have a good contact.
Colombianas are exceptional in many ways. Good and bad.
I really hope this Estrella is as calm and friendly as she has been on the internet.
I read a post from a man living in DR and he wrote that if you just behave like a gentleman, there is a good chance she will love you for life etc.
I will try DR, even if Colombianas and venezolanas are so hot that I hardly bealieve my eyes sometimes.
Thanks

There are 100's of Colombianas who work on live sex cam sites, like streamate or live jasmin.
Dominicanas, like chicas from anywhere else, there are good ones and there are some that are like sharks. I have met many excellent Dominicanas, some who have made me very happy.
If you have any questions about the DR or Dominicanas, ask away, lots of knowledgeable people on this site.

Agree with Buscemi! That Chris Isaac's is a beautiful song, I have that in my 80s collection...time of my youth. Did not know of the model -surprised that she spells her name with a "Ch" rather than a Nordic "K".

In Danish the name is "København" (roughly derived from the words for merchants' harbor or buyers' haven). Population over 1 million in Copenhagen. It is an easy train and ferry ride from Northern Germany (Hamburg has the St. Pauli district which has brothels, sex shops and probably strip clubs).

I am from Massachusetts and it appears that it is a handicap in terms of airline ticket pricing. I am wondering if any of you will have an insight into how to do better in terms of pricing. Month of August. I am seeing a rise in price over the last few days (Aug7.Aug 22 tentatively). Over $550 now on non stops.
Also, would people comment on Spirit airline experience? I never flew them and notice they charge even carry-ons.
Thanks in advance.
They charge for all bags both ways. Their arrival and departure times are very good for vactioning. Early arrival and late afternoon departures is excellent. However you are charged for carryv on and checked baggage. Do the math and see if it works.

Thanks in advance.Spirit use to be the best deal for basic travel with limited options (days, locations, times). Now, they charge you for pretty much everything. Unless you want to be the last person on the place, have to stand, and not ask the flight attendant any questions, the price is the same as the rest. They probably charge you to use the bathroom. Bring your own toilet paper (that probably counts as a carry on, LOL).

You do pay extra for suitcases and $30 each way for a carry on. I found the experience to be OK and the seats were more comfortable than AA. Did not know about the toilet paper, as I prefer to use the facilities in the terminal. Overall I prefer Spirit to AA, but one has to take many factors into consideration deciding what flight to take.

BOS-MIA AND MIA-POP / STI / SDQ on Spirit and the pricing that way looked better but when I have to add 4X$30 for cabin luggage (I never travel with check in. To the DR) , it did not look so attractive any longer plus I am afraid that they might hassle me with the size of luggage (if luggage is a revenue earner) if it does not fit in or there is no room overhead, making me lose my connection so I am planning to stay true to "trueblue", despite the damage!

Writing KobenHavn (actually I should have spelled it KoebenHavn in English to try and mimic the correct sound not having the correct keyboard) but then as some would say here, what has Tivoli or KobenHavn to do with mongering in the D. R, eh?
but then as some would say here, what has Tivoli or KobenHavn to do with mongering in the D. R, eh?From the April 7, 1859, New York Times: "San Domingo threatened with blockade from a Danish fleet. The Danish Government demands $150,000 to be paid to John Cristmas. The Dominicans are prepared to resist, even at the risk of open war with Denmark." http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=F20F15F735551B7493C5A9178FD85F4D8584F9 Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark. Happy 4th, Everyone!
Hi to all.
I consider myself a newbie (even if I read this forum since years) , and please excuse any errors, as I'm italian, so english is only a foreign language for me.
This year I have a mad idea: to come to Dominican Republic (5th travel in 10 years) , book an all-inclusive (Gran Bahia Principe Ambar is the one I am thinking about) at Punta Cana and hire 2 local girls for a 15 days long 3some.
I chose Punta Cana because I like the sea more than Puerto Plata's one (been at Oxygen 4 years ago.)
This way I avoid the expensive flight and fees for the escort / s from Europe. And help the local economy as well. Hihihihi.
But this way I have no wingman, and the girls are more free to cause problems, as they are local and with such links that an european escort doesn't have.
My spanish is only beginner level.
The 2 girls are Facebook friends from Santiago (but never met up in real with them, as happens with a lot of facebook "friends") , maybe semi-pro but I don't think they are real pro's. They speak only few english. Communication problems?
But, beyond the fantasy, I have a few questions for the experts, both for economic question as well as for security questions, as I read about a scam attempt with police and legal (well, in Sosua, but I fear that could happen to me too.).
What do you think could be a correct daily price for their services? They asked 4500 pesos / day for everyone, and checking the forum I found it could be quite correct (=1st+1lt) , anyway I cannot sure have 6 "pops" a day for 15 days! ; but in my opinion the GFE factor could be worth this extra.
Your opinion?
How to pay them? I believe a daily pay could be less practical, but more secure (I fear a "no-show" or worse, an early departure, as they only have to leave and go home, something an european escort could do only with the flight extra costs.)
Do you know if such all-inclusive allows a guest change? I am not going to have my holiday ruined from a girl misbehavior, so I wish to be able to sack her and take another "friend" if I need to.
Another question. How to enforce my security about attempts of legal scams? Any opinions? I am quite scared to have problems alone and stranded in the other side of the world.
Being only one safe in the room, how to rule it out? Again, I want to be sure my money, passport and valuables will not have any undesired attentions.
One more. Which do you think could be some inexpensive bur appreciated gifts? I command respect and seriousness, but I am ready to be quite generous.
Thanks for any help!
Jetblue will have non-stop flights between New York's JFK to Cartagena, Colombia, starting November 2, 2012 (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday service only).

Thanks for any help!15 nights at the Gran Bahia Principe Ambar all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana, for 3 people will probably cost over $4,000US. You might get lucky with the two chicas you know from facebook and they might be excellent company, but it is not 100% a sure thing. There are numerous apartment (condo) rentals in Punta Cana and Bavaro (also villa rentals). Some condos rent out for around $100 per night. If you rented a $100 per night condo for 15 nights the cost would be $1500. Some condos have digital safes to put your passport and money. You could invite facebook amigas to visit you at your condo, if you want, pay them $100 per day, if they don't work out, send them home. You could also rent a condo for your first 5 nights in the DR, invite your amigas over to the condo, if they are nice, then you can spend your last ten nights with them at an all inclusive hotel. Chicas whom you have never met in person, to pay for them for 15 nights at an all inclusive, is something I would probably not do (I don't believe all inclusive hotels let you change the guests who will be staying in your room on a daily basis).
Ask any chicas if they have a cedula (Dominican identification card) and tell them you need to see it. Most of the DR women who I have invited over to an apartment in DR, cooked and cleaned without me asking, they offered.
There will be a new highway opening soon, connecting Punta Cana to La Romana. 4 lane highway. One of my favorite places in the DR is Bayahibe. Bayahibe is a small town with 4-5 all inclusive hotels, condo rentals and villas. Good number of Italians in Bayahibe. 10-15 minutes from Bayahibe is La Romana. La Romana has some p4p venues, as well as other bars that get non-pro and semi-pro type chicas. Bayahibe is adjacent to a large National Park so it has not been overbuilt. Beaches in Bayahibe are nice. Catalonia all inclusive hotel in bayahibe during off season is about $120US for two people, very nice all inclusive hotel. Some condo rentals are in gated complexes like Cadaques (bayahibe).
Any questions, ask.

Hi Sturmer.
Don't do it! Too many things can go wrong. With the sort of money you are looking to spend you can have a wonderful sex holiday in the DR with a different plan, one chica, two chicas or twenty, your choice. For a start, I would wait until I was here and had spent some time with the chicas before committing to them longer term. Also you might find staying in an all-inclusive hotel rather restrictive.

There is no guarantee that the two girls will get on together over 15 days, because jealousies will almost certainly break out, yet if they DO get on well together, that may be even worse as they will conspire against you to rip you off at every turn.
$4500 per day each is way too much anyway. They are not pros? Sure they are pros.
If you want, get one to visit, see if it works out, pay her a daily rate, then maybe add the other and see if it works out. But it would be crazy to make a 15-day commitment to either one.

DEAR Jaosousa, some people don't give a F% about money, so just leave them and don't try to tell them they can be off cheaper. They just want to live it large. You're prices are set for people like you, who need to watch every penny they spend (nothing wrongf with that, been there aswell and will never change BTW) But the italian guy just want to splurge let him do so. LOL, if you want italian I can arrange a bigg ass party for you for 4500 dollars. You will have an own house with an swimming pool and jacuzzi in SD and I make sure there will be at least 25 girls for TLN just all for you to make you happy. Prices for 15 days are negotiable. LOL
You have way more money then brains. Pussy in the Dr is cheap don't make expensive. Punta Cuna is not a great place for mongering. Take some time and really think about what you want to do. There are better venues for women. You can go to Black Beards and have 3 somes for 100s a night and 60 for the room. Guys like you screw up the pussy market. Take some time to educate yourself.

For those of you who use texting and which costs money (international textings are excluded in a typical package). Quite a bit, I suggest you check out "whatsapp". It essentially uses the IP connection to send message over, thus bypassing the texting route altogether. The catch however, is that at the other end, the recipient will also have to have the app and has to have an Internet connection which many of the blackberry (smart phone) users do. But once that is done, it is like your phone number to another phone number elsewhere. Just like the free skype to skype thing. I have been using it for over a month or so.
Starting in November. 2012 http://www.jetblue.com/deals/new-service/ Jetblue will have new service from New York JFK to El Catey, Samana, DR (AZS). Also JFK to CTG (Cartagena, Colombia). The non-stop, round-trip JFK to CTG fare was $383US (all taxes and fees included) , when I checked a few weeks ago.
From Jetblue: "New York, NY (JFK) and Cartagena, Colombia (CTG) — Tue, Fri. And Sun. Only — November 2, 2012. New York, NY (JFK) and Samaná, DR (AZS) — Wed. And Sat. Only — November 14, 2012"

Seems you offered him no advice, which means that you would probably think it is a good idea to pay for in advance for three people at the Punta Cana all inclusive ($4500) for himself and two women for 15 nights. Two women he has never met before and then pay each of them an additional 4500 pesos per day (9k per day for the two chicas) for 15 days.

There is a difference between living large and living stupid. My advice to the Italian was not to pay in advance for 15 nights at an all inclusive hotel for two women, whom he never met before. Maybe you haven't stayed at an all inclusive hotel in the Dom Rep, but I'll clue you in, if you pay for 15 nights and check in with two women, all the all inclusive hotels I know of, will not let you change your guests after you have checked in with them. So if the two chicas are sick or have their period, or if the Italian doesn't like them, he can send them home, but he has already paid for 15 nights for the two chicas at the Hotel. My advice was to get to know the women first, if they are cool, then go and stay at an all inclusive hotel with them.
You are offering the guy a villa and 25 women for 1 night for $4500? Can you post photos of the villa and / or of the women?
Thanks

You call me a Cabron? Or was the last word in your post a sign off, (I. E. Your name or a description of yourself) (A cabron is a Spanish insult that basically means a guy who knows his wife cheats on him and he doesn't do anything about it).
Are you pimping? Seems to me what you are offering is a form of Pimping. I am sure you know that Pimping is Illegal in the Dominican Republic. La Victoria prison is just north of santo domingo. Take the metro to the last stop in villa mella and then a gua gua to get to la victoria.

DEAR Jaosousa, some people don't give a F% about money, so just leave them and don't try to tell them they can be off cheaper.GreenAndYellow did you respond to any of the questions that ISG member Sturmer asked? (I imagine English is not your native language, you say you are from Brazil). If the guy didn't give a f_ck about money, why would he ask Economic type questions?
I offered Sturmer advice and NEVER told him what to do or what to spend. Who the f_ck are you to tell me what advice I can offer to another ISG member. You are a guy with no DR trip reports and you can't spend $20US to get a subscription membership on the ISG.
You're prices are set for people like you, who need to watch every penny they spendMy prices? What are you referring to? In my reply to Sturmer I said condos can be rented for $100US per night in Punta Cana. The condos where I have stayed in the DR have been multiple chica friendly. So if Sturmer didn't like a particular chica or chicas, he could send them home and invite others. Sturmer mentioned the gran bahia all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana, which is a middle priced hotel in punta cana. There are other all inclusive hotels in Punta Cana that are much more expensive than the gran bahia. If money was not an issue, I would guess most people would choose the most expensive all inclusive hotel. There are villas in DR that rent for thousands of dollars per night. If the original poster said, price didn't matter, then maybe I would give him info on very expensive villas. I don't set prices in the DR and what Sturmer wanted to do, I would probably never do in the DR, so when you say my prices, I believe you are talking out of the part of your body where the sun doesn't shine.
cabron.Cabron? If you are determined to post insults on an English language website I suggest you take English reading and writing lessons. (Brazilians speak Portuguese, why would you use a Spanish word like cabron, to try and insult someone on an English language website and not a Portuguese word).
I think the gentleman needed some monger insite. Part of being a good monger is managing your money. It was obvious this guy was clueless. Joa gave him food for thought. He was thinking of making major mistakes. Joa gave him options that could save him money and enhance his vacations. Why pay 100 dollars for a 10 dolar prize. This guy needs some one to advise him.

Its portugeas / italian slang you idiot but thats something that you will never get, you wannabe. Now just chill out Jaou, I get your point. Italian gelado? You refer to an ISG member from Italy as an Italian Gelado? Gelado is like ice cream.

According to a few translation sites on the internet the Portuguese word gelado could mean icy or ice. The ISG is an English Language site. Maybe there exists a Portuguese language site where you might be welcomed to write Portuguese slang. Last time I checked the owner of this site doesn't want slang used here and he also wants foreign words to appear with an English translation (maybe you could read the forum rules). He also forbids threats of violence and other behavior that is highly unsocial.
I always post when and where I will in the Dom Rep on this site, so you will easily be able to find me in the Dominican Republic. I meet any and all ISG members in person in the Dom Rep. Cabron and ignorant are two words you have used here towards me (over the internet). In person let's see if you use the same vocabulary.
Looks like you paid the owner of this site $20US, thanks.

What is the p4p scene like in LT? Is there bus service there from PP? 2 or 3 hour ride?I think more like 5 hours. One bus (or van) per day leaves around 7. 00am from the Hospital. I don't think it goes all the way to Las Terrena though. You may have to take a local guagua or taxi for the last leg.
Thank you sir! Useful info as always. Any insight on th p4p situation?

The bus terminates in the city of Samana. To get to Las Terranas you have to get off at Sanchez and go over the mountain on a gua-gus.

Thank you sir! Useful info as always. Any insight on th p4p situation?Never been myself, but two friends have recently and enjoyed themselves. There is P4P but limited numbers and not so in-your-face as in Sosua. Enough to keep you happy for 3 or 4 days anyway. Lots of haitianas there.
If you are crazy enough or hardy enough to take that bus or people-carrier, please check the departure time because it could be earlier or later than 7.00am. I know it is early though.

Hi,
Please don't flame about my ideas. I don't want to see a struggle about me!
I missed the website for a week, and I didn't expected such a reaction from my post.
Sorry.
Jaososua, thanks for Your help and defense.
GreenAnd Yellow: well, maybe we aren't so different by origin, me too have to raise my money from hard work, and not from parents or lottery, so I believe to be quite money conscious, even if it doesn't appear so.
Maybe You missed the fact that I am going to pay the girls 4500 Pesos / day, sure not 4500 USD / day! It would be crazy! For this sum I could hire even 2 or 3 of the better europeans pornstars!
So, really it is about 100 euro / day, and it seems to me that it is more or less the sum You can pay at BB for an ST+LT.
Could be an high or low sum, it depends, but I wish to have something more than a "fuck-and-go", a few intimacy and companionship, and maybe also 2 (anyway interested) friends to stroll me around and let me know the real Road, outside all inclusive hotels and arranged tours.
And, yes, I already know one of the 2 girls from a previous travel at Oxygen (that was a lot more crazy!).
I know that one is a 100% prepago, her girlfriend maybe a 75% prepago with a normal cover work.
Not sure this could work well, but, again, I try to limit the risks, and pose a little step in finding local chicas.
I believe that many of the flames depend from the incorrect currency you though about. But if I'm wrong, feel free to contact me and for the same sum I give them, I will accept your villa and "hip-hop rapper guy" offer!
Joking!
Cheers.
Jaosousa.

I believe a daily pay could be less practical, but more secure (I fear a "no-show" or worse, an early departure, as they only have to leave and go home, something an european escort could do only with the flight extra costs.) Do you know if such all-inclusive allows a guest change? I am not going to have my holiday ruined from a girl misbehavior, so I wish to be able to sack her and take another "friend" if I need to. Another question. How to enforce my security about attempts of legal scams? Any opinions? I am quite scared to have problems alone and stranded in the other side of the world. Being only one safe in the room, how to rule it out? Again, I want to be sure my money, passport and valuables will not have any undesired attentions. One more. Which do you think could be some inexpensive bur appreciated gifts? I command respect and seriousness, but I am ready to be quite generous. Thanks for any help!
15 nights at the Gran Bahia Principe Ambar all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana, for 3 people will probably cost over $4, 000US.
LOL

The woman who runs that guest house in las terrenas, supposedly speaks 5 languages, from the webpage for that guesthouse "Edit, a 22 year resident of the Dominican Republic and tour guide by profession, speaks 5 languages. Herself an avid traveler of the Dominican Republic is always available to answer your questions about tours, transport and the latest hot spots." The phone number for the guest house is: Telephone 809-836-5541 or 809-240-9602. Someone heading to las terrenas, could give them a call and ask about transport. The guest house looks cute, price is good, under $20US.
Here is a video http://youtu.be/aaXRLV-5eEU That ISG member Flaco Loco made during his trip between Puerto Plata and Las Terrenas (La Gua Gua). Once again thanks to all for your input. I did some searching online. It seems Las Terranas is a two hour bus ride from Santo Domingo. Cost is $350 pesos. So it seems I'd be better off making that a side trip to a Santo Domingo adventure. Maybe after NewYears. I'll be sure to post a report! I have a map of the island, and it appears to be closer to PP, but I guess I need a map reading course! LOL!

Joau I'm another time sorry for the words I used to you, didn't mean in no way to offense you,All is forgotten, water under the bridge.
I was in las terrenas a number of years, for the weekend, stayed at the gran bahia principe el portillo all inclusive hotel, with an amiga from santo domingo. She took me to playa rincon, which is about an hour from las terrenas. Playa Rincon is a beautiful beach, that also has a fresh water stream where tourists and locals go swimming.
Two hotels that look nice in las terrenas, http://aliseihotelspa.com/ Hotel alisei I saw and ate at their restaurant, which was staffed with some people from Argentina, food was good. I drove by http://www.ladolcevitaresidence.com/ La dolce vita hotel (the sweet life) and it looks like a nice hotel. Villas, apartments and other hotels in las terrenas."Bufeo com" has the schedule of upcoming events in different places in the DR (also lots of photos on bufeo com) , you might consider going to las terrenas, when their is a concert there.
I hope to return to the DR in September, the drinks are on me, in plaza espana in zona colonial, happy hour for really good mojitos in a restaurant there, with outdoor seating, I'll invite some amigas to join us, LOL. (a caiperinha is similar to a mojito I believe and cachaça is alcohol made from sugar cane as is Dominican rum).
Photos I took, las terrenas, el portillo, samana bay and playa rincon.
Using this link https://www.dgii.gov.do/Tturistaweb/Checkout-en You can purchase the $10US tourist card, that you need, to enter the immigration checkpoint area for arrivals at DR airports. From the DR Government webpage: "All residents, visa holders, or Dominican nationals are exempted from the Tourist Card as well as nationals from the following countries: Argentina, Chili, South Korea, Ecuador, Israel, Japan, Peru and Uruguay."

I wonder if there are hostels in DR. In Colombia this area has grown fast and there are now a network of hostels covering the whole country.
I also wonder if one can rent an apartment for 1-2 months.
I speak very good Spanish.
I Go for the girls of course, but also to know a beautiful country.
One girl I chatted with from DR said there still is much violence.
I'm happy with daytime activities and maybe going out for dinner in a "good area". Nightlife, while being drunk and taking a false cab should be the biggest risk I think.
I read that taxis are not formal yellow / black like in most countries, so going buy taxi needs precautions, maybe they have radio-taxi companies?
I would be greatful for info. And advise from persons with experiences of any kind, living there, etc.
Don't follow my ideas. The 2 girls arrived one day late, stayed 2 days and asked more money. I refused, so they left this morning.
Wish to have followed your suggestions as the hotel doesn't allow for guests changes. I am working on this, maybe buying some discounted day guests pass as I have the room.
For your info. Beware a girl name flory perla de los santos. Know her from oxygen where she worked. Do not hire her longtime or anyway at your own risk. Again don't follow my foolishness.

The most common I think is Apollo and you can call and they will come get you, very reasonable rates. I will look for the number and post it. It already maybe posted on the forum.
If you find a Taxi you feel you can trust, it is easily arranged for him to meet you at a club or any location ahead of time. There are many apartments for rent, check Jaosousa's posts as he puts up all that type of info, including pictures.

But the good thing is that others can learn from this and not make the same mistake.
Here's what I wrote before:
You are correct about it being a mad idea. Do not even consider it.

Don't follow my ideas.I don't think there was ever the slightest risk of anyone else following your ideas.
We all have our own methods and preferences here, and debates can get quiet heated and bitter. So when everyone, vets and newbies, high-rollers and cheapskates, and from various nationalities, uniformly counsel against a certain course of action, the chances are it is not a winner.
Hope you can salvage something from this holiday and that your next one is awesome.
Most people just do not listen. We were almost unanimous in our rejection of your plan. You broke all the rules and got the results. Having lots of money can over come many challenges. Heeding sage advice can save you money and enhance your oppurtunity. Good luck in the futur.
I don't think there was ever the slightest risk of anyone else following your ideas.
I'm happy with daytime activities and maybe going out for dinner in a "good area". Nightlife, while being drunk and taking a false cab should be the biggest risk I think.
I read that taxis are not formal yellow / black like in most countries, so going buy taxi needs precautions, maybe they have radio-taxi companies?Apolo Taxi 809 537-0000.
Again you are right at all but the agreed sum was 100 euro per day and not 4500. But this is only for sake of correctness.

Here's what I wrote before:
You are correct about it being a mad idea. Do not even consider it.
[/QUOTE]

Of course your money is your money and you can do what you want with it. My issue was more that getting two girls together for a threesome for 15 days is a notion that has about zero degrees of likelihood of success.

Dominican Cupid. I met girls in every city all over the coutry. Some of them cute, but none looked like their fotos. Was that picture of you taken when you were 16, and 30 pounds lighter? But real sweethearts for the most part. One brown pretty one, Ramonita, even proposed to me via text message. So cute. I'd post some pictures, but for some reason my computer won't load. That country not that good for whoring in my view in the month I spent. Perfect weather though, and great beaches. Super nice people. Safe. Gas $7 dollars a gallon. No English.
I have been using it for over a month or so.It works good http://www.whatsapp.com/ Just need a wifi internet connection for a cell phone and you can send messages, photos and videos for free, to another cell phone with whatsapp messenger installed and that also has a wifi internet connection. Of course the DR women using whatsapp messenger can send messages, photos and videos for free to your cell phone (your cell installed with whatsapp and a wifi connection).
Thanks.
Hi again,
Well you were right. I will post a complete report when back home. Sadly this mobile is so awkward to write a lot. What scammed me most was the hardening my contact puta has endured in 4years. As was her to scam the idea. I will explain more later.
The euro has fallen a bit, but 100 euro is still about equal to about RD$4500. Anyway, the problem is not the amount, but the idea of making an advance commitment to pay it for 15 days. Well, here we are with my final report.
I learned some lessons.
1) NEVER TRUST A working girl!
2) NEVER DO WHAT OTHER MORE EXPERIENCED MONGERS TELL YOU TO BE JUST A CRAZY IDEA.
At the end. My damn idea was ill conceived, as I am been thinking with my little brother.
I don't want to bother you again with the whole story. If interested please read my previous posts and comments.
At the end the scam damage was 700 USD for the other girls daily guests passes in the hotel.
The saddest thing is that the girl who scammed me was the only one I already know in person.
Beware of her. Her real name is Perla Flory de Los Santos, from Santo Domingo.
I will post a memo in the santo domingo just to avoid double reports.
Her photo is 3 years old, now she has some more kgs on her, but anyway quite cute, sad that her behavior isn't at all professional or anyway correct at all and she doesn't respect previous agreements.
The fact is that she tried to blackmail me asking double the previously agreed price.
No way I am going to be blackmailed by anyone, less than all by a working girl. No way baby.
So she left, and sadly she took with her that cute girlfriend I couldn't know enough.
So, beware, avoid my mistake, don't even think to hire her for anything long than a night.
Hi. Well. Sorry but the time zone adjustment is still killing me.
I wish to publicy thanks Mr Charles Pooter and Jao Sosua for their help and suggestions and the time Mr. Charles spent teaching me the local area.
Hope I didn't appeared overly dumb. Sadly my english is not enough to understand correctly. And I didn't wanted to have you to repeat all.
And, the same thanks too to Mr. J of FOD, for the time and the waooo interesting sightseeings in his hotel.
I dreamed about some of the girls I saw there.
Sorry I hadn't moved in my last days, I was really upset and bad mood for all that happened in this ill-cursed holidays.
Wish you the best luck. And don't forget the ideas I told you!
Now I can tell you why I hadn't moved.
I was mainly worried to move as I feared legal problems from the scammer girl, so I preferred to stay at the booked hotel just to check for them (luckily, they were just an idea.)
Now I know I was overreacting, but receiving, just 3 day after the girls left, a facebook friend's request from an unknown ugly 50-years-old female lawyer (bisexual and from the same city of one of the 2 girls) , just put me on alert mode. And the facts that the exact same day the blackmailer resigned from facebook and the lawyer didn't even answered to my questions just added a lot to my usual "check your six" mode.
From where the hell she took my name is still an unsolved question.
Anyway, just for your info, even if a contact resign from facebook, the previous messages stay. As an exhibit just in case.
Peace. And a lot of love!

I have been using it for over a month or so.Another good option is Pinger. You can download it to a smart phone or use a computer, either way it's completely free. You get a local (USA) phone number for sending and receiving texts and it sends them out using the internet, thus bypassing texting charges. The person receiving the text does not need the app. I've texted lots of chicas this way without problems.
6 Main Reasons why Expats are selling up and leaving the Dominican Republic.
'Everything is for sale! '
Reasons for leaving:
1) To renew either their temporary or permanent residency's, has become a big dirty let-down by the government, as they are now going back on their past promises of supplying Gringo's either their up-coming 'permanent residency' or to renew actual permanent residency's without too much hassle or lawyers involvement. Gringo's are now asked to re-supply all their documents as a 'cover-up' by the Governments immigration, who's lost thousands of foreigners records both on their PC's and papers I. E. Birth certificates, police records etc. And everyone is now being kicked back to zero, having to prove clean police record, re-do all the medicals, find witnesses of good character and supply proof of financial independence – and some would even have to travel back to their home country to receive new birth certificates (I. E. Russia, Ukraine etc.) – in other words a lot hassle, unfair expenses, frustration and life interrupting nonsense!
2) They are sick of being manipulated by the Government Owned power company, who especially with property owners, can use their monopoly position to violate customers in every nasty way possible. If you have been to pay your power bill a few times, then you would be sure to hear higly upset customers who have suddenly received some ridiculously high power bill or business owners being victims of ridiculous ongoing charges (and law suits if they don't keep paying!). According to some locals latest frustrations, the power company is now getting really sophisticated in ripping us all off, as they are now replacing our existing 'meters' with some new ones that effect our power bill in such a way that customers bills are tripling. In other words, brace yourself for their new sophisticated rip-off scheme! (They probably hired some scumbag who knows how to make the meters run faster based on the same electricity consumption – rat bags!).
3) Especially Expats who work or run businesses here on the North Coast, have over the past few years noticed how the Government, local Mayors and their armed forces, have gradually killed off business, Tourism and foreign investment. Most of the business focused expats are realizing, that if they took a couple of steps back and moved onto a country with stable rules and a healthy economy, then even with working less hours and applying the same skills, they could fairly quickly bounce back and start earning 5-10+ times as much as they currently earn in this pathetic economy. Leaving expats also miss the ability to afford relaxed time out with their kids and family, to dine out and to buy / repair stuff when needed and not when the purse allows it! Just because there is sun and beaches nearby, doesn't necessarily mean that everyone has the ability to kick back and enjoy it all, as now that earnings are getting smaller and the cost of living is simultaneously increasing, then pampering oneself and one's family, becomes a hard to reach luxury. They are also sick of experiencing or seeing Police extort money and their continued harassment of Girls walking between bars and the rough treatment of Haitians.
4) Leaving Expats also voice that they are sick of Dominicans, local traders and a large percentage of shifty fellow expats ripping them off. Unfortunately a lot of traders and businesses on the North Coast, seem to think that survival in business is only possible if they engage in Lying, cheating, stealing and letting people down! These culprits are found from the motorconcho driver, right through to the Government. This region especially is known globally by many as the 'pit' for many national and international scumbags – what a shame!
5) Daily there's Racism and clasism being displayed by Dominicans on foreigners, especially by the various Police forces, Fiscal offices and even the courts. Examples of this ranges from traffic Police targeting 'Gringo's' over laws that often don't exist, or for laws that they don't pull Dominicans over for. Others find that if they counter sue after having won their freedom from a Malicious criminal or civil legal attack, then the sentence never comes through, especially if the Gringo is up against a Dominican. Police and a list of self-proclaimed inspectors will harass Gringo business owners for large sums of money, or they will use their connections to get them shut down! Many Expats have found themselves being locked up for the most pathetic or unfair things I. E. Bringing a person they saw in a traffic accident to the hospital, only to be withheld for paying the bill and then the police arrests them till they clear up what actually happened (keep driving fellow Gringo!). The fact is, that pretty much anything you get involved with, you always have to fight to get equal treatment or the same price as your Dominican neighbor – and that sucks! 'When it's rotten from bottom to top, then it's game over for the Gringo! '.
6) Expats who are leaving also voice that they miss the abundance of cultural initiatives, watching skilled street performers in action, whether musicians, jugglers, clowns, artists, stunts, motor-animal or sports races. Also they miss theatre, cinema's, abundance of choices in sports and watching skilled artists in action. Also the urge is strong to return to a society where honor, productivity, long-term business mentality, sucess, love and law has a meaning to a much larger percentage of people in society. Many insist to find a new country that still offers all year round sun and clear water but this time a place that offers a lot more of the initiatives mentioned earlier in 'point 6&8243; .

Author: Anonymous-Source-NPNI would suggest that most of these problems existed to some extent long before these expats moved to the DR. If they had done their due diligence and researched the country first, instead of spending a week in 'paradise' at a resort and buying a house, maybe they would have realised this country is not for them. Good luck to them and I hope they find happiness elsewhwere and next time spend more than a week in the country before buying.

Vacation in a place is not the same as living there. A friend of mine recently went to DR for vacation for the first time. She came back talking about buying property. I told her to just get the thought out of her mind. The other day my brother was talking the same shit. I told him that he would have to be a fool to do that.

I guess making up excuses why the left instead of telling their buddies they are morons saves them face.
Hello everyone.
I have been following the DR forums for a couple weeks, registered last week. Now I apologize for posting this here; I did try to contact the Admin via PM but his inbox is full; p So I donned my flame retardent suit and am taking a stab here with the hope someone can assist me solving this technical forum issue I have.
When I click on any link in a post that should send me to [View original post] it sends me about 900+ pages back, and if the the forum is less then 900 pages, I get send to the last page, even if the post I am looking for is on the same page or just a couple pages back.
Is there some setting I accidently hit that causes this?
I am using google chrome, and it worked fine for me since a I joined a week or so ago, but the link issue started this last weekend (about same time I paid the extra $20).

Any lawyer or notary that works with residencies should be able to do this for you, piece of cake. Either way it has to be notarized so if I were you, I'd play it safe and have it made up by a lawyer / notary and legalized. It doesn't state anything about showing copies of bank accounts, etc. But you might want to have something on hand just in case. Way back when I first applied, my guarantor made copies of his 2 vehicle titles for example.
The other option you have is to print up the new law and wave it in their face
I am planning my first trip to DR in November around Thanksgiving. I would like some input where to go? Punta Cana, Puerto Plata or Santo Domingo? Also where to stay and what the good Bars or Clubs where hot women hang out?
Thanks,

I have spent many enjoyable Turkey Days in the the DR. Not much to go on in your post as to what you are looking for so I would go to FOD = Field of Dreams or to BB's = Blackbeards you can not miss with either place for your first trip. Read all the information on the Puerto Plata section. Good luck!
I'm really looking forward to making my first DR trip, and I would appreciate any advice that more experienced members would be willing to give. I'm not really looking for general advice, I'm looking for advice on finding the right kind of women. Oddly enough, I've become infatuated with the kind of women you usually find on sites like Rico's Phats as well as the "more experienced" women: I'm not looking for a 19 year old perky and tight "hard body" to have a GFE with. I'm more wanting a drunk and saggy 30-something or above that's spilling out over a tube top and desperate for 500 pesos.
So what do you guys think?

So what do you guys think?Hahaha, just post up somewhere along calle Pedro Clisante in Sosua and you should find what you want within fifteen minutes. You might have to pay 1000 pesos but no more than that for the type of chica you describe.

Thanks,
DaveI will be at BB for the Thanksgiving week. Me and I the guy I will be traveling with will have a car and plan a couple of trips to Sosua. You could tag along for a couple bucks or beers to cover the fuel if you decide to stay at BB. BB usually puts on a typical turkey potatoes and gravy dinner on Thanksgiving.

I am planning my first trip to DR in November around Thanksgiving. I would like some input where to go? Punta Cana, Puerto Plata or Santo Domingo? Also where to stay and what the good Bars or Clubs where hot women hang out?Punta Cana is definitely out unless the beach is your top priority. It is for families and couples. There are working girls there but limited selection and higher prices because they have a captive market.
Many guys favor Santo Domingo, but I think it is mainly for more experienced mongers, and you would struggle without some Spanish.
If you have no Spanish at all, Blackbeards or Field of Dreams are safe bets. You can also have a good time in Sosua with no Spanish but you need to keep your wits about you and it would be advisable to hook up with some more experienced mongers to show you the ropes. That is easy enough to do. More varied experiences in Sosua but more ways to come unstuck than in the "protected" environments of Blackbeards or Field of Dreams.
Do not fall into the trap of booking into an All Inclusive Hotel. What you save on flight + hotel you will lose double on taxis and booking short-time places to do your chicas, plus you will miss out on the companionship and learning experience of hanging with other mongers.

Those hardbody 19 yr olds do turn into your kinda girl in 10 yrs, so there are plenty for you. Most of them go back home so if you want the genuine grateful for 500 peso tln chica you should get out of sosua to the real DR. There are always some left over though as hotel maids, beach vendors, etc.

Hello,
Can I buy those pills at a pharmacy without prescription?
In Colombia they have very cheap generic Viagra, but not Cialis, which is the more refined, long lasting, without getting an indian red face as when I take 100 mg Viagra, which can complicate things socially, heheh.

If fact you can even get them in convenience stores. Also if you do want to get a prescription for a medication, it does not cost a lot to visit a doctor.

Hi,
I'll be visiting the north coast sosua / cabarete soon for a few months.
I'm a pretty kinky guy looking for girls that are into anal sex toys.
From what I heard, chicks that are into it can be found. However I don't know if there are any sex shops that sell toys and lube etc.
Do you know of any? I found sexshop. Com. Do but I was wondering if there are any that have a bigger range and ofcourse a bit nearer.
Or could I bring some in my checked luggage?
Thanks
I got pulled over by the police for talking on the cellphone in Sosua, the cop was a nice guy and ask me where I was from when I replied Philly he said that talking on the phone was illegal in the Dom Rep and this was my warning. Have a nice day. Also you can exchange money inside Super Macardo in Sosua and get the same rate as Western Union without the hassle of a passport.

Don't you know what Bluetooth is or you still rocking one of those brick cell phones from the 90's?

I did not know there was a law since having lived here for more than 3 years. I wish the Law would crack down on bus drivers talking and texting on their cell phones.

ThanksThere used to be a place in Sosua but last time I was there it was out of business.
I always take a couple of vibrators with me and have yet to meet a Chica that didn't. Know how to use it. I usually leave them with the girls when I leave. I posted a picture of the one they all liked last trip.
I am planning a trip to DR in a couple of weeks for vacation. I want a combination of relaxing at the beach and easy access to activities. I am leaning toward Santo Domingo due to the appearance of shorter and easier flights, transportation, etc. It looks like maybe Sosua has the most action. Any thoughts either way would be appreciated. It looks like there isn't tons of up to date info in these forums at the moment.

Boca Chica is kind of slummy beachwise and sex wise, but both are available.
Personally I like Sosua beach, but some people don't. Sosua probably has the best combination of beach and sexual activities combined of anywhere.
The beachfront at Puerto Plata along the Malecon is quite nice, but more for locals and there are questions about how clean the water is for swimming.
The best beaches I have seen in the DR are at Las Terrenas, though the Punta Cana area is also highly rated. At Punta Cana you will find large all inclusive hotels with fine pools. However these areas with excellent beaches have less in the way of sexual activity.
Another alternative would be to stay at Cabarete, a resort only 5 miles from Sosua that has fine beaches with kite surfing and plenty of restaurants, but quick and easy access to the fleshpots of Sosua. There are cheap local taxis running 24 hours.
Really it just depends on your time and budget. Yes, the flights are a bit cheaper to SDQ, but personally I would not go to Santo Domingo for a beach vacation any more than I would go to New York City for a beach vacation (I have been to SD several times for various reasons.)

Love the beach and mongering combination that Sosua offers. I'm a (former) Rio lover, and while nothing compares to Rio, Sosua does offer that combination of a beach town and available chicas.
Would be nice if you could get a beachfront hotel or apartment in Sosua. Shame that Sosua Bay Hotel fell apart.
I think this would be a good intro to check out what kind of girls you will find in DR. Not entirely representative because it does not show many Haitianas that are actually quite prevalent on streets and as working girls.

Right next to beach.

During my trip to the Dominican Republic, I wanted to get some scuba diving in as I didn't just go there for the girls. I ending up choosing to dive with Scuba Dive Sosua as their owner and dive instructor Pablo Santos, gave me the best email communications prior to my trip there. As a Dominican who grew up in the USA, he offered to help me throughout my trip as well since he was very well connected in the area with other activities like fishing tours.
Also, unlike other scuba operators there, he offered a free pickup from Blackbeard's, where I was staying and it a good 30 minutes away. Since the taxi fare to Sosua would have been about $55 to $60 US, I saved plenty if I dived with his shop. His shop is located right at the main Sosua beach entrance.
Although it's not a large shop, Pablo has enough crew to make it as easy as possible for dives. Once I arrived there, his guys took my BC and assembled the tank and regulator before taking them to the dive boat. All my other gear like fins were also taken to the boat for me.
The dive boats in Sosua are not like other Caribbean destinations. First of all, none of the scuba operators in Sosua have large dive boats with heads on board. Instead, they use small boats which meet divers right on the beach as there are no docks around. This did not turn out to be a problem since the crew handles all your gear anyway. All I had to do was climb on the dive boat when it neared the beach.
The crew also assembles your weight belt and helps you put on your BC / tank. If you want, divers can also put on BC / tanks while in the water. In either case, it's a back entry into the ocean.
Pablo was an awesome dive leader. He has several thousand dives in the region so he knows the dive sites inside out. For my dives, the first two were under less than good visibility due to recent rain but despite this, he took the effort to show me some interesting things including spotting eels, lionfish and large crabs. For my next two dives the following day, we dived under much better conditions and he was able to spot some very hard to find fish including a frogfish and some very tiny shrimp that lives on long pieces of coral.
During the time on the dive boat, Pablo talked about some of the history and facts about the Sosua Bay region. You can sense the passion that he has for not only the local marine life but also the region which he calls his home. I did my 100th logged dive here in Sosua and I must say that Pablo provided the most personalized service as a divemaster that I've had so far. Even the timing of when we went out diving was quite flexible. Although this might have something to do with being in a low season. But he did mention that even if when he has a group, it was left to the group on when people wanted to dive as his crew would be ready anytime.
After each dive, we had the option of returning to the beach for a surface interval and bathroom break or simply staying on the boat. I did both options, one for each day of diving. At the end of each two tank dive trips, the boat returned back to shore and we just jumped of of the boat onto the beach. Again, Pablo's crew did the work of carrying all the scuba gear back to the shop. I can't even remember another dive operator where I didn't have to lug my own gear from the dive boats.
The reefs were in good condition but some areas had evidence of overfishing. With a good dive leader like Pablo, he was still able to spot some really interesting marine life out there. Don't expect any really big marine life but there will be some neat smaller species to see.
The staff at Scuba Dive Sosua even had my BC and other gear rinsed and hung to dry before storing it inside the shop overnight for me. There was no need to carrying anything back to my hotel although I did choose to bring my dive computer back so I could log my dives.
I came back to the shop where my equipment was to do my final packing as Pablo even gave me a ride back to the Puerto Plata airport for my departure, another $20 US savings. Now that's personalized service! I challenge anyone to find a dive shop that will do all that for you.
I would definitely dive with Pablo again and recommend Scuba Dive Sosua to anybody who wants to dive or get some training when in the Dominican Republic north coast area. He did tell me that he was interested in becoming the preferred dive operator for guests of Blackbeard's, FOD and other places we stay at in the region. If he offered pick up service and since the operator that Blackbeard's used before from Puerto Plata refuses to come pick up divers, I'm pretty sure that he will get more of us as clients.
He also does fishing tours too which I haven't tried but I'm sure some of us mongers would be into. Their website is simply scubadivesosua. Com and that was how I originally contacted Pablo.

Where do you do most of your diving seeing that they don't carry the gear to and from the boat for you? I do most of mine in Asia and there many more times than not the helpers take all the equipment to and from the boat. Like you said, you got a steal with the rides between BB and Sosua. Email communication before a trip is of extreme importance. I'm planning a trip to Palau in February. There are like 3 shops and none of them answer emails for shit. And as per tripadvisor reports most people have the same experience with all the shops there; great diving but terrible service.

I packed as light as I could considering the gear I brought down. I have not dived Asia yet as most of my dives are in the Caribbean but also dived the Red Sea.

So if my flight arrives at 2:30ish in SDQ, do I stand a chance of making a 4:00 Metro bus to POP?
So if my flight arrives at 2:30ish in SDQ, do I stand a chance of making a 4:00 Metro bus to POP?If you don't have checked luggage and no other planes arrive ahead of you, , yes. Caribe tours have hourly gua guas so that also is an option.

Why is it that if I'm chatting online to someone in DR and they say:
Them: Como estas.
Me: Cansado.
Them: Si, un poco.
Me: No. Yo estoy cansado.
If I answer their question that I am in a certain mood or I am doing a particular activity and do not put the "estoy" before it, then they assume I am asking them if they are in the particular mood or doing the particular activity, instead of taking it that I am answering their question about myself. Am I missing something here?
