I thought they are unionized rather than a cartel ... a trade group has a right to organize. Methinks.Maybe not strictly correct, but I use "union" for wage protection (price-fixng if you prefer) agreements between employees / labor, and "cartel" for price-fixing agreements among employers / owners / capitalists.
Most (maybe all?) of the local private taxi-drivers we are discussing are owner drivers or working for family businesses. So I don't call them "unionized".
A Dominican friend of mine (yes, I have one!) saved for years to buy a franchise on one of the publico routes. He also had to become a member of the transport syndicate, which is expensive. After a few months he found he couldn't make enough so he used his syndicate membership to start a school bus service instead. I must ask him if he sold back the franchise. There is always a waiting list despite the fact (as he found out) it is no "golden ticket".
Manny, I am not sure who issues the franchises to become a Costambar taxi mafioso. Maybe just a self-perpetuating collective of the drivers? Or maybe the Costambar Estate Management? They would also have to be members of a national transport syndicate.
I have never seen a meter on the North Coast. I cannot speak for the South or Punta Cana.I have seen taxis in Santiago call in, asking what the charge was from points A to 'be". (I keep typing the letter 'be' and this damn program changes it to the word 'be' BBBBBBBBBBBB!
In Puerto Plata and POP airport, when asked, they quote a price, - possibly due to frequent fares, or due to the "fixed" price.
I once haggled with insistent cabbies in POP regarding the fixed 40 dollar fee.
I got one cabbie to lower it a little, but he ended up getting it back as a tip.
Agreed that fuel there is crazy expensive, but the fares charged are high, - possibly due to the syndicate fees they have to pay.
I suspect they all agree to hold a line on prices, and no one will offer a lower price in front of the others.
I also noted a cabbie at the Santiago airport waving a "BLACKBEARD'S RESORT" sign this week.
Geez, so discreet.
They should use a chalkboard / sheet of paper with the client's name, instead.

For the Haitian lovers like myself.
There are 20 finalists for the "Miss Haiti 2014" beauty contest, but I picked a few and posted them on the "Gogo forum". Vote for your favorite girl. Good luck ladies.
I purchased a SIM card with time for 100 p last weekend. It was through Orange. Did the whole passport thing and I felt as if I were closing on a house.
I will be back next month to the DR and I am wondering about the process of reactivating the SIM card with Orange with perhaps the same phone number.
Is it a pain? More paperwork?
What do you usually do?
Wow. A manicure and pedicure cost me 400 pesos in one of the best salons in Santo Domingo. The lady at FOD charges a rather high mani-pedi rate too.

What do you usually do?Your card will still be active for at least 3 months from the last time you added minutes. Do everyone a favor and stop by the Orange store again to find out exactly how much time you have from your last recharge until your SIM goes inactive. If you will not be in the country for a while, you can always go to etopuponline to add credit right before it expires so that you can reset your clock.

I went to the orange store and the lady confirmed it was deactivated. I just paid for my minutes and data and it was back on with the same number. Can't remeber if she did something on the computer to turn it on or not, but they charged the minutes and data the normal way you would recharge the min and data on a workers cell phone. Whole trans took 5 min.

I don't want to have to give my old chica "friends" a different number which would be a hassle to remember.
Thanks.
Anyone with any contacts with police, media and / or politics here in RD? Sosua to be more specific.

Robbed by hotel staff. Over 1000 USD plus cell phones. Why don't you help the members out by telling us what happened and where.
Why don't you help the members out by telling us what happened and where. It's been a whole 24 hours since this happened. I am very forthcoming with information even if it results in attacks on me, as per my posts regarding my maiden voyage to DR.
This incident just happened last night / this morning and the story is still evolving. Aside from being occupied with the crime, and recovering my stolen property, I'm trying my best to continue with my work and move on.
Rest assured, as always, I'm going to be posting a full report about what happened.
Hey guys!
I'm returning to Sosua soon and would like to try my hand at the Dominican Cupid game. Usually I just pick girls up on the street or in the bars, but this time I'd like to pull a high quality 18/19 year old for a couple days of GFE. Any pointers?
I'm not sure it will change your advice, but I'd say I am a somewhat handsome younger guy (well, younger than most of you!) and I speak a little Spanish.
Two specific questions:
1. How up front are you with DC girls with respect to paying them for sex? I'd guess they are all in the know. But perhaps the DC audience expects a little wooing.
2. If the above answer is "be upfront", do you discuss precise figures and services in advance, on arrival, after a little get to know you time, or in the morning? Obviously, with a bar or street girl I'd be totally upfront so there are no surprises. I'm just wondering if the DC scene requires an alternative approach.
Thanks in advance. I'll report back on my DC efforts so that others can get a sense of what works and what doesn't.
Why don't you help the members out by telling us what happened and where. You got a point. I think that's fucked up that he had an unfortunate incident. But the dude, I'm relatively certain expected and wanted prompt help from members here. The least he could have done is simply tell us where it happened. Don't need a full report for that.

Robbery and burglary are often confused with each other. Although both of these crimes are associated with theft, burglary does not always involve stolen property or the intent to steal anything. An individual committing robbery steals something from someone by using force or intimidation. Burglary involves breaking into a building with the intent to commit a crime. Because of the difference between robbery and burglary, a person can be charged with both crimes for one incident.
In the United States, robbery is often considered to be a felony, and it can result in serving time in a state or federal prison. Robbery involves taking something valuable and using force, or the threat of force, to do so. Armed robbery involves the use of a weapon. The similar, but more serious, offense of aggravated robbery generally involves the use of a deadly weapon.
Burglary is also known as breaking and entering. It occurs when a person gains unauthorized access into a home, business, or other structure to commit a crime. The crime that he means to commit is not always theft. Also, the amount of force needed to get into the building does not have to be extraordinary to constitute burglary, and it can even consist of picking a lock or simply walking in.

Tell them you are looking for a date and possible more. Converse with the chica be confident and up front some what. I wouldn't pick chicas from Sosua but that's me. Understand a lot of chica don't like coming to Sosua. Sosua chicas click up and can give solo chicas from another area problems. It may not be so bad now with the decline of SW. DC adds a new dimension to mongering. Pre interviews! And it builds up anticipation, excitement, and you feel you know each other more. Never put all your marbles on one chica. Have 2,3 or more back up plans each day. Some chicas are on DC solely to meet guys off the net, befriend them and beg for money. They have no attention of actually meeting you or giving up some ass. You read it a lot. Chicas not showing up, coming up with excuses after weeks of conversing or not even picking up the phone if they have one. You check online and they are very active. I know I have been a victim. Stack your deck young blood and if you didn't have time for a few chicas you set up to meet. So what. There is always next time. They are not going any where.

The Colombian Cupid sites are a no win, putas posing as regular girls, saying they are looking for a meaningful relationship and marriage. This so they can get the tourist to fall in love and send money every month. Bring up sex for your vacation and prices come into the discussion- The puta is always a puta.
There are casa girls and mayorista girls on these sites and when you contact them on the site for sex they are wanting to charge LOTS of money. Yet you can have her at the casa, no dinner, no presents, no waste of time, for 35K. And you are not walking the streets with a known puta. The girls on these sites totally play the dumb tourist. Which is why the vets and smart new comers don't even discuss these here. Until now. Don't waste your time, go for the done deal.

Thanks in advance. I'll report back on my DC efforts so that others can get a sense of what works and what doesn't.Personally, I have never discussed payment with any internet babes. I talk to and treat them like I would any other dating website. If DC was like Backpage, then discussing price may be important. But on DC you have to find out what the woman is looking for. And then you have to discern fact from fiction. Some women actually want a serious relationship, while others pretend to want one.
In my experience those expressing interest but not pushing for a serious relationship, are usually expecting to be fucking guys they hook up with. Some lay back and hope you give them money just before they go home. Some may try to get you to buy enough shit so that they feel compensated for their time spent with you. Others will express being appalled by being offered money. Some are acting offended, some are serious. If one decides to offer money, it is more dignified for a guy to offer it in the spirit that it is for their children and not direct payment for sex. A guy can give a flat amount, at the rate he would for a TLN. Like 3000 x 3 days, plus what you spend for meals, her transpo, cell phone, minutes and other incidentals. You can add or subtract depending on whatever factors are important to you or the chica.
If a chica is impressed by less, then offer less.
But outright working a payment plan with DC hookup? I have never needed to do that with any DC hookups.
Personally, I have never discussed payment with any internet babes. I talk to and treat them like I would any other dating website. Thanks for the advice. Very detailed. I appreciate it. Let me know if I can ever return the favor.
Going to the site with that type of mentality will turn it the way of Colombian Cupid. If you want hookers, you already know where to find them. Thanks for the heads up. Sorry if I ruin it for the rest of you. I'll do my best not to shift the DC tides.
Stack your deck young blood and if you didn't have time for a few chicas you set up to meet. So what. There is always next time. They are not going any where.Thanks. This is pretty much what I planned to do. But you've confirmed that my strategy isn't wildly off the mark. I appreciate it.
My initial impression of Dominican Cupid is positive. I've found a ton of potential candidates in a very short period of time and my search criteria is quite restrictive (18-19, no smoker, no kids, etc.). Of course, it is still way to early to know how many of these girls are actually interested in meeting up when I hit the ground and what that experience will be like.
Some things to know:
* It can take up to 24 hours to have your profile approved (so don't wait until the last minute!
* Although it bills itself as a free site, it is very difficult to communicate without purchasing a package. The Gold package is $30/ month and you can cancel the auto-renew straight away. I see no reason to get the Platinum package, since you can exchange info and video chat elsewhere if that's what you want.
* The interface is clunky, to say the least. For example: clicking on a photo takes you to a sort of pre-profile where you can cycle through photos and see basic information. You have to click "view profile" to see the entire profile. Another example: sometimes you have to click "send message" multiple times before it works. You get what you pay for, I guess, and most users (all of the females!) are not paying anything.
* If you don't speak spanish or your spanish is very bad, you can use the google translate. But know that most of these girls often type phonetically (e. G. , "k" instead of "que".
My strategy:
I don't want to spend a lot of time talking to girls with zero potential (in terms of my interest or theirs in actually meeting up). To sort through this, I run a very restrictive search. Then I cycle through the photos to see if they are attractive and "Show Interest" if they match my preferences. They are notified when you show interest. If they show interest back, I will message. Otherwise, f*ck 'them. You will be notified when others show interest in you. However, if you haven't shown interest in them yet, they are likely outside your search parameters (e. G. , for me it is mostly older women). Remember: you don't want these girls. They are not what you are searching for. So just ignore them and spend your time on others.
An interesting feature is that you can save your search parameters. This is especially convenient if you are showing interest because, when you do, a pink heart lights up by their listing. So when you return to your search, you won't be clicking on girls you've already deemed interesting because you can see by the lit up heart that you've already done your side of the interest showing. I like to run through these searches in batches to prevent being overwhelmed with too many conversations at once. It also means you can cycle through for the cream of the crop first, see if you get any bites, and, if not, return with a less judicial eye.
Obviously this is all just one guy talking. And I don't have a lot of experience with the site. But I'd like to contribute where I can and I've tried to convey what I would have liked to have known when I first got on in order to save some of you guys a bit of time. Good luck out there!
My initial impression of Dominican Cupid is positive. Ya, I am experimenting with this site, too. Too bad you cannot sort of chest size. I tried, tho.
I let some of my internet chica know I was planning a trip. One of my long time ladies wanted to make an impression on me. I think she may have worked at Black Beards at one time. She is no holds bared in the bed. She sent me a Skype video of her masturbating. This places her a little higher on hit list. I met her on cupid 3 years ago along with other ladies who are very prim and proper.

Scroll down to "Personal".

There will not be many women 18-19 who do not have kids that are P4P. Of this demographic most, if not all, will live with their parents and if they are even allowed to go out with you they will have to be home by a certain time. I'm thinking that really the only way you will pull this off is if you run into a chick who is trying to keep up with the Jones and wants an iPhone or shopping spree out of you and is able to lie to her parents. Otherwise it is not realistic at all despite the DR P4P experience you may have had. Despite what many think, the average Dominicana and the P4P Dominicana are night and day. You will be okay for the smoking part though. I don't know of any Dominicanas who smoke outside of maybe a Sosua hooker who will bum one off of a monger.

I checked out the DR embassy website for residence visa requirements and among other stuff it asks for:
Notarized Letter of Guarantee. Signed by a Dominican or a legal resident alien in the Dominican Republic specifying the type of relationship with the beneficiary of the visa.
Does anyone here know if this is strictly enforced or have you received new without this particular requirement?
Another thing I am not sure about is the requirement for ALL documents to be "apostilled". I went to the closest federal district court clerk to get that done but they said they only "apostill" their own issued documents. My Q is where do you go for that?

You have to love this place. .For me, the key to being grounded with DC dating, is to arrange hookups shortly before I travel to the DR. Sure its advantageous taking time vetting a chica, but what comes with that is usually a lot of meaningless back and forth exchanges. Hola como esta. I miss you, etc etc. After a few more exchanges there really isn't much needed to be said. They arent really interested in what you do or what you are about.
And in enough instances neither are we, except from the standpoint of making sure the chica is the one represented in the profile and that you will be safe. Other than that, all of that day to day, week to week contact is monotones. What counts is when you are there face to face. The sooner I meet them, the better. You and the woman are both still going to be using the dating website to make hook ups or follow up on people expressing interest. When she is whatsapping you (or whatever means of communication) , she is likely whatsapping two or three other guys simultaneously. And so are you ( with chicas ). So for me, I don't need to play that day to day, week to week stay in contact game for very long.
It's fun, no doubt, but it is meaningless. It's possible the longer it goes on the more you might be thought of as some mark they can exploit or try to take advantage of, simply because we stay in touch even though it's a fallacious representation on both sides. Rest assured, if a chick looks like something, chances are she has a regular thing going on DC, meeting men, getting fucked good, taken out to eat and have fun, traveling, getting away from the house, and getting some form of compensation. Cash being the optimum reward. Best scenario is hoping the guy is sucked in good, and decides to be a WU novio too. Then repeat. She can juggle as many guys as she wants. All she has to know is your plans to return. With none of those other cats the wiser of what she is capable of. This is how enough of them survive, especially since many don't have a steady job other than hooking up with men for a living. Overall point being, dont get too caught up with these internet babes. Make your arrangements shortly before you get there, keeps the BS down to a minimum, have fun, and move on to the next.
If one or two become a regular thing, cool. Enjoy it for as long as it lasts and keep things in perspective of what they are really about. Once on the ground though, some guys forget all about the internet babes and stick with what is right in front of them.

Getting blast on here is all in the sport of the form. We debate, argue, related, laugh, learn, and move on. This form gets about 5 to10% of our life time on a daily bases. We got to love it.

I agree. I don't care how bad the chick is looking. Once I get a number or form of contact. I log the girl's picture with her number, location, scale 8 - 9. Then its off to the next 20 or so. I later dismiss the chicas with short messages of respondents or overall vibe. This is only fun 1 to 4 weeks before I know I am going to the DR. Other than that its boring to me. I don't want to be strip club teased on the net. I want the pussy!

I'm still debating about the post. But PM me if you really want to hear about it. It's a good one LOL.I may take you up on that offer. But for now could you just tell us WHERE it happened?
Haunted that is messed up! You came on here yelling you got bit by the wolf. Got our attention. When we asked what happen? Now you don't know if you want to talk about it! Bro. Come on. I respect you if you do not want to shared your experience its your prerogative, but why put it out then bitcha up. Remember your info could teach the next man. Like someone else info taught you! Getting blast on here is all in the sport of the form. We debate, argue, related, laugh, learn, and move on. This form gets about 5 to10% of our life time on a daily bases. We got to love it.Lmao! Ok ok. Well I want to leave the hotel out of it. Because it turns out it had nothing to do with them. Alas.
Damn chica ripped me off. $1300 USD!
So I'm no newbie at the skanks, the hos, the hood rats whatever anyone wants to call them. I swear I left this chica without my eyes on her for the most 30 seconds. Just to wash my dick.
It took me a few days to fully recover. I still did what I had planned. Knockin out 3 chicas a day. 7 days straight. But the spirit sure wasn't there for the first few days after getting ripped off.
Finally maybe on day 3 after the incident. I realized. Ok. No matter what. I'm the fool who left my shit out. Bottom line. End of story.
So be it.
I'll work an extra shift and recover the loss.
And BTW. She was a damn good chica in bed too.
And BTW. I hit it again. 2 night in a row. After she robbed me!
Talk about the hair of the dog LOL!
I may take you up on that offer. But for now could you just tell us WHERE it happened?Hi Wrx,
Please see the other reply I posted.
I gave in and posted by second idiot experience in the DR.
Sorry, want to leave the hotel out of it because they ended up having nothing to do with it.
Chica strikes again!

My Q is where do you go for that?In the US look at the website of your state's Secretary of State office and search to find details and requirements. It's roughly the same as notarized but under provisions of a treaty for international documents.
Lmao! Ok ok. Well I want to leave the hotel out of it. Because it turns out it had nothing to do with them. Alas.

Talk about the hair of the dog LOL!OK I am not going to clown you about bringing so must cash Mr Riche Rich or leaving it out after forever hearing what happened to Tarriqq's homey for turning his back on a puta he knew. You have suffered enough. I wish you could give us more info on this chica; besides the fact she fucked all the good sense out of you. "Nowhatimeannn Brah" you are telling us that after she licked $1300 from you. She stayed in Sosua where you can find her, stayed on her hustle, pulled the same trick she just licked off of, go back to his room like it ain't nuttin, rapped him up for 2 nights in a row and got Mo Money! That's Gangster! That's a bad Bitcha! Just give me her number- I no you got it- LOL. I like your style! Shake that shit off and complete the mission! I think from now on I am taking pictures of all the chicas I deal with before the money / sex exchange. I just have to make sure she doesn't steal the phone.

Robbed by hotel staff. Over 1000 USD plus cell phones.Come on man. You are pulling our dicks on this one. You expect us to believe that a chica stole $1300 AND cell PHONES from you and not only did you not notice any of it was missing before she left, but she came back and did another session with you? Where, please tell, did she put all of this stuff? I'm calling bullshit on this. First of all, most chicks around there don't carry any type of bag. Second, any girl that struck pay dirt like that would not be sticking around doing more sessions in Sosua. If anything the money would be burning a hole in her hand and she would be trying to get back home to spend and flaunt some of it. Third, she definitely is not returning to the scene of the fucking crime anytime soon and WITH the victim at that.

And she definitely is not returning to the scene of the fucking crime WITH the victim.Yes Mr. Enternational,
My goal is to lie about being an idiot for leaving my shit out and having a chica steal my loot.
There are a few details in this story. Please read thoroughly.
Well this is why I was so confused about who was actually the culprit.
The cell phone I noticed missing within 5 minutes of us entering my room. Because we were talking about cellphones, and I had brought some extra ones with me. So I was looking for one in particular. Nowhere to be found.
So, it fucked me up a little bit. But I had this hot chica (my first in this room).
So we finish our session. I walked her out. Return to room to relax. Then an hour later decide to hit the stroll. Look for my envelope of money. Gone.
Now I never knew I left my loot out in the first place (had I realized, I would have stuck it in the safe in front of her). And when paying her, I didn't need to access that envelope.
So Occam's razr dictates simplest answer. I figured the same thief stole both. Which excluded her.
Notified security guard, who was pretty useless. I didn't involve the police yet. Needed time to analyze this shit. Have a few friends in SDQ and POP, called them and discussed with them.
Decided in the morning I would make shit hot, make a scene while management and guests were there, and call police in the morning.
Morning comes. Damn that toilet is still leaking. Never leaked when I first got there. Jiggle the handle. No effect.
Open up the tank, and shit there's something in there. Some stupid chica threw her tampon in here or what? Pull it out, and it's my money envelope all wrapped up.
OK, so now finger points more toward that chica vs hotel staff. But the phone. Was definitely not her. So two things happened? She stole money and I lost my phone? Odd.
Retraced my steps that day, asked around about the phone, of course no success.
Next day, I'm looking through my suitcase for something, and there's that damn phone. I had stuck in somewhere in the middle of my suitcase I guess in a rush to hide it on my way out.
So now the facts. Only money is missing, envelope in toilet.
Now the chica. I played dumb with her on the phone. Still texting her oh baby I miss you blah blah blah. Didn't see her the next day, but she was texting. Everyone telling me oh you will never see her, she's gone. She's knows you're here, and she'll be back in a month when she knows you're gone. She hit paydirt with you, that's like 8 months salary she just made. OK.
Day after I'm walking on the stroll, someone from behind yells 'oh papi!' turn around it's her running up to me to hug me.
She plays dumb, I play dumb. We continue as if nothing happened as my head spins.
WTF! Does she really have this much balls? Or is it really not her?

I came through Mia airport today and they have new kiosks. They don't tell you about these until you reach passport control, typical Mia procedure. You will see the visitors section in passport control then they will see you are confused and direct you to the right place.
You insert your passport and it will ask you a couple questions then take a picture. You will be issued a receipt and then proceed through passport control. They closed concourse E at 9:30 pm and I had to enter concourse the and walk all the around, made my flight with ten minutes to spare. Heads up fellas.

Anybody here bought a one way ticket to the DR, and at some point was told you had to purchase a return flight or you wouldn't be allowed go to the DR or arrived in the DR but not allowed to leave the DR airport unless a return flight was purchased?

Anybody here bought a one way ticket to the DR, and at some point was told you had to purchase a return flight or you wouldn't be allowed go to the DR or arrived in the DR but not allowed to leave the DR airport unless a return flight was purchased? In most countries if you don't have a visa to stay for a certain time you are supposed to have proof of passage out of the country by the date that your time as a tourist expires. I am not sure how much time you are allowed as a normal tourist in DR.
In most countries if you don't have a visa to stay for a certain time you are supposed to have proof of passage out of the country by the date that your time as a tourist expires. I am not sure how much time you are allowed as a normal tourist in DR.You can stay as long as you want. You will have to pay the fine when you go out of the country. A few hundreds bucks after 2-3 years, but it will rise a bit every year. Return ticket, better to have one or to have a flight or bus ticket that proves that you will leave the country.
I went through that on Thursday, I got the big "X" and had to go to the special place, hahaha.Atl also does this and gave me the big X. But they have a special line with less waiting for those of us who have to go to that special place. I saved an hour of waiting. I don't ever want to lose my X.
Anybody here bought a one way ticket to the DR, and at some point was told you had to purchase a return flight or you wouldn't be allowed go to the DR or arrived in the DR but not allowed to leave the DR airport unless a return flight was purchased? That happen to my man RO once in April leaving Jax on AA airline. They told him they couldn't give him his ticket because it was 1 way and no return. I got him a ticket coming back with Jet blue and he remembered. He walked over to JB and got a copy and they issued a ticket. One time, after arriving in MIA buying a one way ticket to SDQ (I now don't buy return tickets because I don't know when I want to return) and wanting to change to an earlier flight. They questioned me about not have a return flight. I told them the original ticket they issued to me didn't have a return flight and there was not problem. What's the problem now! I couldn't believe they questioned me after charging me $200 for change of ticket.
In most countries if you don't have a visa to stay for a certain time you are supposed to have proof of passage out of the country by the date that your time as a tourist expires. I am not sure how much time you are allowed as a normal tourist in DR.The tourist card you buy in the DR is good for 30 days. It's like a temporary visa. I'm still trying to figure out if proof of passage out of the country is required in the DR?
You can stay as long as you want. You will have to pay the fine when you go out of the country. A few hundreds bucks after 2-3 years, but it will rise a bit every year. Return ticket, better to have one or to have a flight or bus ticket that proves that you will leave the country.I do recall purchasing a one way ticket last year to Santiago because it was cheap. I don't recall any agent telling me I needed to purchase a return ticket. I paid the $10 tourist card fee. Bought my return flight online in the DR. I don't know if I got lucky because someone dropped the ball, or it doesn't matter if you buy a round trip ticket or not. Information on the net is limited on the subject. Thats why I'm asking if anyone ever bought a one way ticket?
I got a recent un confirmed report of a guy having to buy a return flight once he got to the DR. He actually lives in the DR most of the time, and goes back to the states perhaps to visit family. This time while in the states visiting, he purchased a one way ticket to go back to the DR. Which means, he only purchased a one way ticket in order to get to the states in the 1st place. He supposedly was forced to buy a one way ticket back to the states. But his circumstances may be different than most travelers? There is no telling what he put on his immigration forms on the way to the DR. Like what his permanent residence is. Or the info he gave on how long he was staying in the DR? Or the possibility he was flagged because he paid the overstay penalty when he left the DR for the states, and his passport may have been flagged for that?
When I see him, I will get the story from his mouth.

I couldn't believe they questioned me after charging me $200 for change of ticket. As a matter of fact, I think a while back I did try to purchase a one way ticket online to the DR, but the website wouldn't allow me to purchase it. Said a round trip ticket was required. I think I was using Cheaptickets website at the time?
The trip to the DR where I had a one way ticket, I think I bought the ticket directly on Jetblues website. I checked in outside the terminal instead of inside. Tipped the guy, and noticed the ticket had TSA pre check approved on the ticket. I think he did that for tipping him. I didn't have to go to the regular security check point. Perhaps when I checked in, the agent did something on the computer so I didn't need a return flight confirmation? All of this is sketchy and speculative. I'm just trying to come up with an explanation as to why I was able to purchase a one way ticket and travel with no problems in one instance but refused a one way purchase in another.
This trip coming up in August was a one way purchase online with United. To increase my chances of flying without purchasing a return flight, I'm going to check in outside the terminal. Whatever happens in the DR may be another challenge.
I Always join the Cupid the month before my trip. Meeting chicas before your trip illiminates first date issues. The girls feel they know you well enough to fuck your brains out. We put our cards on the table and decided to hookup with sex being on the agenda. This is how I get GFE from attractive non pros. It is great having options other then the street girls. No issues making the purchase, purchased seats in advance as well through CSR.It seems to depend somewhat on the airline. Spirit won't let you board without a return ticket. On the other hand I went down a couple of weeks ago on a one way Delta ticket and came back on AA. One way around if you are concerned is to buy a throwaway ticket for the cheapest flight out of the DR for several months in the future, probably Spirit from Santiago to Fort Lauderdale for about $100 that you may or may not actually use.
I have not had a heifer in along time. It is variety thing for me. Big girls can be very sexy. I am looking forward to banging this heifer. No shame in my game.
No offense but I can get a heifer like that for free right here at home, you got to be kidding me.
Is pulling cash out of the DR ATMs a good substitute for converting US dollars at some cambio if you are in a hurry?
I know the fees are high but I think the exchange rate is accurate, no?
Charles Pooter

I know the fees are highUsually but it depends on your home bank arrangements and what DR bank ATM you are using. A few guys seem to have good deals on ATM withdrawals if they use specific DR bank ATMs.
I think the exchange rate is accurate, no?Always a worse rate than from a reputable cambio.
I always laugh at these threads about exchange rates. Guys agonize over dropping (say) 5 dollars if they draw 10.000 pesos but the same guys have no problem paying a puta 3000 pesos instead of 2500 (11 dollars dropped) or giving unnecessary tips and propinas all day long, or paying a motoconchista 100 when it should be 30, or paying 120 pesos for a beer they could buy for 60 down the road, etc, etc.
I think part of it is we all hate banks, especially since the financial crash, and resent giving them an unnecessary cent.
Of course you might save more than 5 dollars if you are changing thousands of dollars, but anyone who walks around with that much cash should be worrying about other things.
On my trips I always used ATMs. Worth it for the convenience. But I soon learned to change money inside the bank. Safer, and you can ask for small bills and coins. Always having the right change in your pocket can easily save you more than 5 dollars a week. Downside is you need your passport so I only do it in situations where I can go straight home and lock it away.
Warning: if you are planning on relying entirely on bank cards, bring two, or even three, as backup. And make it very clear to your home bank(s) that you will be using your card in the DR between specified dates. The DR is red-flagged all over the world for scams and financial irregularities. They may freeze your account if they see an unexpected pattern of usage, in which case you would be f*cked.
Another tip on using ATMs is always use one outside a bank, rather than a stand-alone one outside a store or filling-station. For two reasons:
(1) If the machine "eats" your card or you have other problems, you will save a day or two in getting the problem resolved.
(2) ATMs outside banks, especially if watched by a security guard, are less likely to be tampered with, such as having card cloning gadgets fitted.
I use BANK Popular or Western Union both give the best rates with no complications.

Maybe I will never understand business in the DR. After my accident, I returned the wrecked car for another one. They could not use the same card for the new car so I had to use a different card. In this process, unbeknownst to me, they made up a new contract. (I rarely read, I just sign.) Under the original, the car would cost me $217.60 for 8 days ($19.14/day plus tax). I turned the new car in 1 day early and did not notice until later (because I was in a hurry to catch my flight) that they had charged me $289.06 for 7 days ($30/day plus tax). I called Budget's US number to file a case on June 19. They said that it would take up to 30 days to investigate.
If you did not know, the car rental places in the DR are franchises and really operate independently of the actual foreign corporations. I have been in DR another time since then and rented from the same agency. I showed them my paperwork from the time before and inquired about the price difference. The agent told me that since the payment had already been processed I would have to call the US office and start a case on it. I had already done that so I was good. I never heard back in almost 2 months so this morning I called Budget USA as soon as they opened. The lady said they still had not heard anything from Santo Domingo so she went ahead and refunded $98.58 to my credit card.
I had the accident on June 8, and on June 9 called American Express to file the claim. I was emailed a list naming documents that I would need to email to them (driver's licence, police report, info of other driver, auto insurance in home country) and a list that Budget would need to send to them (Closed rental agreement. Final contract stating total charges billed to renter and return date of vehicle, Accident / Incident report, Photos of damage, Demand letter, Appraisal or estimate of damages, Fleet Utilization Log or proof of payment for completed repairs). As soon as I returned to the USA and was able to scan my documents I emailed them right off.
Soon after that I noticed that Budget Santo Domingo had charged my American Express $6449.95 (card has $10000 limit) for damage to the vehicle. I contacted the AMEX adjuster who was handling my claim by email and she told me to call the normal number and have them make it where it would show a hold on my card, but I would not have to make any payments since the claim was still being processed.
This morning I received an email from the adjuster saying that 60 days after the accident Budget Santo Domingo has still not sent any paperwork to them so they are closing the case. From the email: "What do I do if the Car Rental Company contacts me or charges the damages directly to my card? Please reach out to us by calling the number on the back of your Card to set up a dispute. ".
I will say that a month ago Budget Santo Domingo did send me the documents that they were supposed to send to AMEX, but I am not trying to do their work for them and forward them on. I do notice that the car repair total was $4604 plus $828 (18% tax) for a total of $5432. That was the estimate from the repair shop. So their sneaky asses transferred the $5432 over to the rental agreement and then retaxed that total repair bill another 18% for an additional $977, making the total $6409. They tacked on another $40 for me renting the car for those few hours before the accident.

... you got to be kidding me.This is the fattest girl I have ever done in my life. I stepped way out of my weight range with this one and only did her not to hurt her feelings.
She was the girlfriend of the young son of my then (more or less) regular. It was her eighteenth birthday and he didn't have any money to buy her a present. His solution? Pimp her to me, share the payment with her, and buy her a present out of his share.
this why i choose to never rent anything in the dr. is gives them a license to [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) with no vasalene.

I think it is also OK to use the ATMs outside La Sirena or La Pola in Sosua (in air-conditioned booth), or inside the large Playero supermarket in Sosua, as there is security and in the case of La Sirena in Puerto Plata the ATM is outside with security, but there is a branch of the bank inside. There is a Banco Popular ATM and bank at Santiago airport, but no night security right by the ATM, though it is close to where a lot of people are. There is also a Banco Popular ATM in the lobby next to the Emergency Room at the Clinica Dr. Hernandez in Puerto Plata, and I think there is also a machine in the lobby at the hospital in Sosua, though my memory is not all that it should be.
One may also sometimes have to use the ATMs indoors at Santo Domingo airport. Again the Banco Popular ATM is preferred. Scotia Bank in PP has an armed guard, and there is also a machine inside the Metro Bus terminal / pharmacy in Sosua that is fairly safe to use.
I would avoid BanReservas, though this is the only ATM on the outside concourse at Puerto Plata airport, because they seem to have low minimum withdrawals, so ratio of ATM fee to amount drawn is unfavorable. I would also avoid other local banks, as some will not allow withdrawals on foreign cards and might possibly swallow your card.
Anyway Banco Popular, ScotiaBank, and BanReservas are reliable enough, so I stick to them.
As Pooter says, make sure you touch base with your home bank before you go and take a stack of US bills or Euros to change if needs be. If you don't need them, you can always take them back home.

This is the fattest girl I have ever done in my life. I stepped way out of my weight range with this one and only did her not to hurt her feelings.Beautiful skin color and face. Good for you Pooter. On the size aspect, no comment if this is your fattest, I. E. , I am not in your league. Is she a Haitian and how does the pimping out story get initiated. Morbid curiosity. He he!

i do notice that the car repair total was $4604 plus $828 (18% tax) for a total of $5432. that was the estimate from the repair shop. so their sneaky asses transferred the $5432 over to the rental agreement and then retaxed that total repair bill another 18% for an additional $977, making the total $6409. they tacked on another $40 for me renting the car for those few hours before the accident.the fact as you mentioned that the dr rental companies are very loosely associated with the us as franchisee, makes it a particularly complex situation. i rent with nelly (through ace) and they have the damn 1500 dollar security hold on a card.
keep us up to date on this odyssey, hopefully, it is only a hold and you would come out unrep001hed.

When you rented the car did you get the insurance option? When you rented the car did you get the insurance option? Thinking about renting a car in santiago, never rented a car in the dr before.No. When you use the credit card, the card company has their own insurance that covers it. When you have an accident the rental agency is supposed to deal with the credit card people to get their money. In my case, instead of sending AMEX the proper documents to process the claim, they just went and charged the damage to my card, which they were not supposed to do. If you want insurance from the rental car place then it will probably run you about $20/ day.
The fact as you mentioned that the DR rental companies are very loosely associated with the US as franchisee, makes it a particularly complex situation. I rent with Nelly (through Ace) and they have the damn 1500 dollar security hold on a card.I used to swear by Nelly, but they started charging some extra fees for something. Also, they are only open until a certain time, so when I have come in later than that time I have had to use another agency. I was using Budget before Nelly so I just reverted to them. The only other company I used was Avis, because it was the only one open when I came into Santiago about 4am. Budget also does the $1500 hold. They charge once for $1000 and another for $500. Then they make you sign a blank old school credit card slip that they imprint your card on.

Then they make you sign a blank old school credit card slip that they imprint your card on.I rented a car from an independent guy called Wilson Polanco who has a rental office called Welcome Rent a Car--el Mejor Servicio--just across the highway from the airport at Santo Domingo. It was a very clean Toyota Corolla with 80 K miles, excellent tires, in good shape, and economical on gas. I didn't pay any deposit, just cash in advance for the days of the rental, but he did ask to keep my passport until I brought back the car. I gave him a spare passport that I happen to carry for such occasions as I am a dual national. His assistant also showed me how to find the exit for the Samana Highway to the north when we went to buy gas.
Unfortunately the car got badly scratched on the rear corner and doors of the passenger side while parked in the street in Sosua, though I was not driving it at the time, so I had a guy respray the rear bumper and Polish the side of the car with compound and shine it up. This left a couple of small thumb-size dents on the door near the handle, but although they examined the car very closely when I returned it, they did not spot anything and gave me back my passport. The repairs cost me an extra $US 150, the main expense being sending someone to Puerto Plata to the Toyota dealership with the filler cap to get a computerized match for the metallic paint, and buying that paint. Still, I had the car back in about 3 hours, so no complaints.
It seems to depend somewhat on the airline. Spirit won't let you board without a return ticket. On the other hand I went down a couple of weeks ago on a one way Delta ticket and came back on AA. One way around if you are concerned is to buy a throwaway ticket for the cheapest flight out of the DR for several months in the future, probably Spirit from Santiago to Fort Lauderdale for about $100 that you may or may not actually use.United did not request proof of a return fare. Got to POP, no problems with immigration. Put staying 15 days on my immigration form. No questions or conversation from the agent. In fact he looked sort of bored or indifferent. Had one checked in bag to claim. Was sent over to the bag screeners on the way out. The guy in front of me was stopped for inspection. I kept it moving.
I was a little concerned because I had packed some questionable items in my luggage, apparently didn't raise any flags or suspicions. One way fare from Newark was $223. In late fall hopefully a return flight price will be cheaper than what it is now?
I intend to get with the guy that lives in Sosua and find out why he was told he needed to buy a ticket back to the states.
BTW, I will keep that suggestion in mind just in case. Thanks!

For what you have paid for your rentals, and will probably continue to pay you will have paid for a car.
I am actually looking into that myself. But I do know this endeavor is wrought with issues to be cautious of. Currently I rented a car for a month. What I paid for a month could have easily went towards a purchase instead.
Maybe I will never understand business in the DR. After my accident, I returned the wrecked car for another one. They could not use the same card for the new car so I had to use a different card. Yes, of course they are franchises, and you can make a reservation online for a particular car, but when you arrive they will be terribly sorry, but the only car available is some humungous gas guzzling SUV with bald tires that reeks of tobacco smoke, but as luck would have it, they know someone who has a small car available for only double the price of the car you originally wanted, etc.
Really the US franchises just seem to take the money for making the reservation, and then the real negotiation starts when you arrive in the DR. It isn't really even a reservation, more of a referral fee.
The key to understanding business in the DR is to remember that these guys probably can't read all the contractual fine print stuff or don't understand it, but they don't give a toss whether they get your return business and have no qualms about putting the grossly padded repair bill that is greater than the actual value of the car on your charge card that has a $10,000 limit. Very likely the repairs to the car were done by his brother-in-law at a special discount for about $500.00. This is an ISLAND where everyone is related and everyone grew up together from childhood with the same people.
When I have rented cars in the DR, I have always rented from local guys and have had no complaints, but it is best to pay cash and not get into credit cards, let alone American Express charge cards.

Also, they are only open until a certain time, so when I have come in later than that time I have had to use another agency. I was using Budget before Nelly so I just reverted to them. You are right. Nelly has those schedule problems but if I get late, I plan to pick up the car, the morning after, also always in city as airport rates are higher. Nelly in Santiago has been good so far. They know me and I can get out fairly fast. They also come to pick me up the day of rental and drop me off after rental. I also hate to pay the hefty insurance rates those idiots want to charge and so 1500 dollar hold works for me. Having said that, this time this gook in their Santo Domingo office was such a pain. You would imagine that Nelly Santiago and SD would be similar but as Frannie says, you just book the car from the US, the real negotiation begins at the rental office.

So its obvious Mr E must have opted out of the loss damage part of the contract, which would / should have covered the car. My question is, are you allowed to purchase insurance thru the rental company that will cover every possible loss or liability while in the RD. I am going to St. Maarten for the first time and I'm being told a rental car is a must, I know these rental chains arent really under the jurisdiction of the US, so I'm going to take a chance in St. Maarten, because I will not drive with Dominicans under any circumstance.

when i have rented cars in the dr, i have always rented from local guys and have had no complaints, but it is best to pay cash and not get into credit cards, let alone american express charge cards.i've rented mainly from avis, never with an issue. i've had several fender benders and they have handled it with amex with little issue. they do charge the card for the repairs ahead of time, but once i put the claim in with amex they handled it from there and in less than 45 days resolved every time. i once backed into a pole (slightly drunk) and destroyed the hatchback, window and bumper. total repairs were reasonable at $500 and change. in the states it would have been about 2 k worth of damage.
using non avis rentals:
thrifty, i had a small accident and they way over charged me. amex took care of it, but thrifty attempted to charge me again and again, i had to block them. amex is very good for their customers.
meta car (no name car rental) great car, good price however they charged me $100 more for a non visible scrape on the bumper. i got amex to block that charge with no issue.
budget charged me double for a 1 day rental once, again amex blocked that.
with avis never had any issues like i described.
buying a car down here is a trip, every office has there people with bribes and the process is a crazy long one. i took me 1 very long day, if i did not pay the bribes it would have taken more than a week.
if anyone wants to buy a car down here i can go through the process with you.
do,
1. always book ahead through orbitz or other websites. what i do is find the cheapest rate on orbitz and directly go to website of the cheapest rental company and book.
it is usually same price.
2. do buy total coverage insurance from the local guy. this coverage is total in case anything happens without deductible. only issue is if you are driving drunk or hit a pedestrian. in other words a police case. i have paid anywhere from $20 to $35 in addition to rental charges depending on my negotiation with rental guy.
in essence you can get out of the country without paying anything if something happens. if you get into an accident make sure you get a police report.
i have not had any accident and never tested the insurance handling of this but i buy insurance to give me peace of mind.
rental guy gives you a copy of the insurance.
3. in spite of getting the total insurance check the car thoroughly for any damages before getting out. check the fuel guage. for some reason in dr they never fill up the cars. one time it was one spot lower and the girl charged me $23 for maybe couple of litres.
4. be extra carefull with the motos. they drive wrong way and in and out of traffic.
5. when parking usually there is a guy trying to make some extra money. give him 50 pesos and he makes sure your car is safe.
6. always check the spare tire and make sure it is ok.
don't,
1. let them charge too much deposit on the credit card. i get charged only $300 deposit every time.
2. do not sign the contract without checking the rental rate etc.
3. do not speed on the roads. slow and steady is the name of the game.
4. do not run the red light even if you see locals ignore it.
happy motoring.

Don't, 1. Let them charge too much deposit on the credit card. I get charged only $300 deposit every time.Good list. Curious, why would you let then charge a deposit if you are also buying insurance locally? I do not buy insurance and so have no way out of a deposit.
Also, good point, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Unless you have an insurance claim to make, you would never know how good the policy / company is but I guess it is safer not having to find out.
Thanks for the Avis and Amex note. Never had that card. I hate paying for the "privilege" of having one.AMEX has several no-fee cards now, such AMEX Blue for Business (make up your own business; they don't check). And, once you have an AMEX card you can buy their supplemental rental insurance. This is great. $19.95 per rental (not per day) for rentals up to 42 days. This is first dollar coverage (no deductible) and primary so if you have an accident your own insurance company won't find out about it, if you have an insurance company. This is good in almost every country (Italy, Israel, and Ireland are the excluded ones I remember and I don't think any were in Latin America) and covers pickups, SUVs, etc. Which most credit cards do not.
I had this insurance and I let my sister drive the rental when she was not on the agreement. She hit a pole in the underground parking garage and did about $800 worth of damage. I was like, fuck it, it won't cost me a cent. She kept insisting on "at least paying the deductible" and had a hard time with the concept that there wasn't one. I had to fill out a few forms (and of course say I did it) but it was very painless.
So there are no monthly fees or anything with this. Sign up and use your AMEX card to pay for the rental and you are good to go. I rented that SUV for the full 42 days, put 8500 miles on it, brought it back damaged, and then Hertz said, "Oh, we miscalculated your rate and so here is a $215 credit. " You can't decline it once you are signed up, but if you don't want to use it on a given rental, just use a different credit card. You can cancel any time you want.
Good list. Curious, why would you let then charge a deposit if you are also buying insurance locally? I do not buy insurance and so have no way out of a deposit.
Also, good point, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Unless you have an insurance claim to make, you would never know how good the policy / company is but I guess it is safer not having to find out.I said the same thing to the rental guy. He said since I booked through rental company it is the procedure. Even here in USA they charge a deposit when renting the car.
One time I had some extra scratches from driving on a dirt road. The guy said since I had bought the insurance it is OK. Maybe if I did not they would have asked me to pay for fixing that.

Thrifty car rental does $250 hold, for a compact car. Booking on expedia confirms rental without any CC information.Never rented from Thrifty. I use Hertz in the US because of membership and that I know, no holds. In the DR, I use a local but book direct through ACE.
I'd describe my overall experience with Dominican Cupid on this trip as mixed. When it's good, it is really good. But the amount of time you put in is much higher than other ways of meeting beautiful girls here.
First the good: I met an incredible 19 year old girl from Puerto Plata. We exchanged some messages in advance. She expressed reluctance to come to Sosua because of all the prostitution. I told her that was several streets away, we wouldn't go there, and she would be in a very safe part of town. OK. She said Puerto Plata was very far away and she didn't have money for a taxi. I said no problem: take a guagua to the Texaco station and motoconcho to my hotel. I'll give you 200 pesos to cover this when you arrive (probably cost her 100-150 round trip). OK. So she is on her way.
When she arrives, I notice she has put on a few pounds since her DC photos were taken. She still looks good-not quite as skinny as some of the girls in Sosua, but much better than most of them. I'd give her an 8 on looks alone. OK. She leaves her cedula at the desk and puts her things in my room. Beach. Hotel pool. Drinks poolside. A lot of conversation. It feels like a date that is going really well. There is nothing Sosua-Professional about this girl. She seems genuinely interested in me. I'd give her a 10 on personality.
We kiss in the pool a bit and then I suggest we go back to the room for a nap. Awesome sex. This girl takes a pounding and makes a lot of noise. She begs me to squeeze her tits. When I'm about to finish, I pull off the condom and shoot all over her chest. She smiles from ear to ear. Not only was it a complaint-free experience, but she made me believe that she enjoyed herself. Perhaps it was fake. Who cares. It was awesome. She showers off and cuddles in for a bit. We do this two more times before she says it is getting dark and she should go.
Here's the kicker. When I offer her money (1500 pesos), she turns it down flat. I kindly explain that I know she isn't a prostitute, I want to help with her schooling. She says no again. I insist. Finally, she acknowledges that it is for school and agrees to take the money. So I paid 1700 for the whole day with her.
OK. So maybe this girl had a great time. Or maybe she was looking to play the long game with me wiring her money in perpetuity (not going to happen, but she doesn't know that). Or maybe she was playing the really long game, hoping to bang her way to better citizenship (not going to happen, but you can't blame her for trying). In any case, it was so much more GFE than I've ever managed to squeeze out of a Sosua girl and for less dime. I'd call that a win.
If only all my DC experiences were so good. Several girls backed out last minute, sometimes after I had waited an hour or more for her to arrive. One girl could not come until after 9 PM, which made me think the odds of GFE were low, so I backed out. One girl wanted to bring a friend along to make sure it was safe. I said no thanks. It was all pretty frustrating. You have to keep several lines open at once in order to have any chance that one of them will pull through. And, on top of this, none of these girls are regularly on DC. So you are constantly checking for messages that might not come until tomorrow. Altogether, this process sucks up hours of your day on the ground. And it makes scheduling your day impossible.
I'm not sure I'd try this again, at least not while staying in Sosua. Perhaps if I were staying in Puerto Plata, Santiago, or Santo Domingo, this would be good. Most girls expressed reluctance to come to Sosua because of its reputation or the distance form their house. This would be less of a problem in another location (though your fallout options would be limited as well).
Perhaps the worst part: I've now experienced incredible GFE w / a 19 year old, which makes snagging a pro in the bar relatively unexciting for me. Now that I know it can happen, I will be spending a ton of time and money trying to recreate this success.
So your saying don't buy the insurance online but wait until I get to dr and buy the insurance there? Wouldn't it be easier just to buy it online when reserving the car?I have always bought Insurance when I rent there. This way no issues. If you buy Ins from some other source they need to check the coverage etc before they let you off the hook if you get into an accident.
They charge a deposit in the US? That is news to me! I am from Boston but never seen anything like they do in the DR. They put a stake on the $1500 at Nelly so that funds could not be used, if hypothetically my card limit runs out. Back home, I only have to give the card details. No blocking of funds, at least not in the states including the South or the Midwest or CA where I have rented -no knowledge of NY.Usually it is a hold transaction. Hold is released when you return the car.

I'd describe my overall experience with Dominican Cupid on this trip as mixed. When it's good, it is really good. But the amount of time you put in is much higher than other ways of meeting beautiful girls here.
We kiss in the pool a bit and then I suggest we go back to the room for a nap. Awesome sex.
Here's the kicker. When I offer her money (1500 pesos), she turns it down flat. I kindly explain that I know she isn't a prostitute, I want to help with her schooling. She says no again. I insist. Finally, she acknowledges that it is for school and agrees to take the money. So I paid 1700 for the whole day with her.Why is that a kicker? The DR is full of normal chicks. I have no idea why you guys continue to treat them like prostitutes trying to force money on them. They don't want your money later. They don't want to be whisked off to your country. They just want to get out and have a good time with a nice guy.
In any case, it was so much more GFE than I've ever managed to squeeze out of a Sosua girl and for less dime. I'd call that a win.Exactly why I can't take more than a day or 2 of Sosua. Being able to speak Spanish, the non-pros are a much better option for me.
I did warn that 18-19 year olds with no kids was a huge iffy. Now you have seen first hand what I explained before. Me personally, I didn't want 18 and 19 year old chicks when I was that age. I damn sure don't want them now. Give me a grown woman. But different strokes for different folks.
You should have let the other girl bring her friend. I was in Santiago last week and this girl from Bonao brought her sister. I asked why she didn't come alone. She said that she wanted to be on the safe side. I said all that means is that she would die with you. Anyway we left her sister in the lobby. After we had finished fucking she was all worried about her sister. I told her that her sister was an adult. She kept trying to call but the sister was not answering the phone. She was saying that we must go down and check on her, she hasn't eaten anything, etc. I told her that I was not in the babysitting business. Finally she talked me in to going downstairs to check on her sister and there she is sitting on the couch with a shit eating grin next to a Dominican guy who had talked his way up on her.
Why is that a kicker? The DR is full of normal chicks. I have no idea why you guys continue to treat them like prostitutes trying to force money on them. They don't want your money later. They don't want to be whisked off to your country. They just want to get out and have a good time with a nice guy. Fair enough. This is perhaps less likely to be true with a girl you meet on DC than some random girl working in a coffee shop in Santiago. But, in my limited experience, I'd say you are largely correct. There are a lot of regular girls who just want to have a good time with a nice guy.
There are boat loads sweet young ladies in there 20's but they are not looking for 50 plus guys as their dream dates. I prefer to put my cards on the table. I have some that understand I am not their novio but enjoy their pussy and company. I refuse to play games or mislead nice DR chicas cause my intentions are far from honorable.

If a girl just wants to be with a nice guy for free, then you are setting yourself up for more problems. Feelings get involved on her part, which can lead to more problems. Why lead her on when you can just keep it real. You are only there for a short time so if they give up free pussy, I would question the self respect she has for herself. I don't sell a fantasy, those days played out five years ago when the girls stopped being sweet. Now its about pay for play (P4 P).
Outside of the tourist areas their are some sweet girls but they have expectations that I can't meet. You have to meet the family eventually. You have to put in time (no sex). You have to be romantic, dinner dates, gifts, dancing, it all adds up. Why not be straight-up and pay to have it your way. They and you know what you want so why act like it is more than it is? I don't want some chic with low self-esteem who wants to give up some pussy hoping I'm that knight in shinning armor.
I'm with you on this one Old Kool. If a girl just wants to be with a nice guy for free, then you are setting yourself up for more problems. Feelings get involved on her part, which can lead to more problems. Why lead her on when you can just keep it real. Exactly. I remember, I guess a few years ago now, when Mr. E. made his first visit to Sosua and picked up a girl in the disco where all the men go to meet hookers, took her home, fucked her, and then purported to be surprised when she asked for money in the morning, as it had not occurred to him that she was a prostitute.
With all due respect, I would not give Mr. E's skill in reading of a girl's situation and motives a great deal of credibility. Yes, maybe there are some on Dominican Cupid who just want to be taken out for a couple of beers and a night in a hotel with clean sheets and fucked by a nice guy who is just passing through to break up the monotony of their boring lives, but I think they will be a small minority.
A gift of some money, even if disguised as "money for the kid's birthday" to save face, discharges future obligations, and if the girl is disappointed that you don't get back to her, then at least she can say to herself "Well, at least I got 1000 pesos and a night in a hotel with a hot shower and a /c, and got my pussy eaten, so not a total waste of time," which helps to soften the blow of rejection.

But it's funny watching his interaction with pros. He is hardcore. With his non-pros he doesn't give them money but he does little things to contribute. He might buy the kids a toy or fix something at her house but pussy is rarely free. Hanging out with the fellas he is usually the first one to buy you a beer.

No. When you use the credit card, the card company has their own insurance that covers it. When you have an accident the rental agency is supposed to deal with the credit card people to get their money. In my case, instead of sending AMEX the proper documents to process the claim, they just went and charged the damage to my card, which they were not supposed to do. I don't know if AMEX is going to pay for the car, but it sure looks like I'm not going to pay anything for it:
Payment not required $0.00 The payment due amount has been adjusted to reflect a disputed amount of $6,449.46
Linda,
What do I do about the $6,450 that they have charged to my card? Before you told me to do something so that I would not have to pay it while the claim was processing, but since the claim has been closed what happens? Do I just change it from the status it is in now to a dispute?
You already have a dispute opened for the two charges on your account. We will request a chargeback to be done for those charges so you will receive a permanent credit on your account for the charges. This will be done in September. While the dispute is still open you will not be responsible for having to pay these charges. They are in suspension until we process the actual chargeback.
Sincerely,
Linda.

Category: Merchandise & Supplies - General RetailSeveral years ago I had an accident on the north shore and was renting from Budget. Bought the extra liability insurance, but my credit card company (VISA) insurance covered the damage expenses to the rental car. I was very glad I booked with a large reputable (US) rental company, which meant I could deal with them in the US by email. Had I rented from a local agency, I don't know if it would have been as easy.

Category: Merchandise & Supplies - General RetailAmex credit card does not always protect you. I remember once I used Amex to reserve a hotel in Spain long time ago. When I went there with my then GF they did not show any reservations. I had to pay higher charges to get a room. When I came back I disputed it but never got a refund. Amex said they were trying to get the money back from the hotel. The case was pending for six months. After that gave me a credit for the amount.
As to renting a car in DR do not depend on credit card insurance. BUY FULL LOCAL INSURANCE EVEN IF IT COSTS MORE. Be smart.

Well it looks like you missed out on the opportunity...I've lived in Atlanta for the longest, but my job moved me to L. A. about 4 years ago. You may want to try the day shift at club blaze, because I have had it all done right there, but only the day shift girls are willing to risk goin the extra mile. You shouldn't have to spend many pesos at blaze, but if you're lookin for some good stripclub action and your pesos are in order take a trip to club wax on Fulton industrial. It's a. Bikini bar but almost all dancers will give you sex in the private VIP rooms, ask upfront for the sex and most will take care of you.

Chicks in the strip clubs want you to keep coming back spending more money so they won't try to rip you off. A Sosua chick, they have the DR mentality and everyone already knows how that goes.
Banging strippers is masturbation with stranger. I have no desire to bang them even though many have killer bodies. It would quick and expensive. They get10 bucks for a 10 minute lap dance. I am thinking 8 minutes of sex and see you later. 20 year old strippers are tough as nails.

Asks for $20 (I would bring them down to earth of course) for one dance, which lasts about 2 minutes - 3 tops, depending on the song! But some of the women are amenable. The older ones in particular but banging inside a cubicle? Meh!
Hi,
Myself and the missus are going on hols to DR and we have discussed maybe trying a threesome while there. We have experience of this in Europe but this will be our first time in DR. I have tried to do some research but can't find any info pertaining to this so any advice of where to go would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!Yes, you COULD go to Blackbeard's, but I don't see why you would unless your wife is really comfortable staying in a hotel where all the other guests are men who are there to have sex with hookers and probably will be eying her up too. If she is fine with that and doesn't mind you ogling the other women there, who presumably you will not be allowed to touch then fine, and she doesn't mind going with a girl who was probably fucking one of the other guests earlier in the day, then fine.
But it isn't necessary to go there. You can stay in a resort hotel in Puerto Plata, Sosua, or Cabarete and pick up a girl in the bars and discos around Sosua, or get one of the waitresses who get off work later, and take them to a cabana like Dulce Secreto in Sosua, or one of several in Puerto Plata for the hanky panky. Of course if you speak Spanish well the process is easier.
I have had quite a few threesomes and they CAN be great or they can be a total bomb. So much depends on the chemistry between the two ladies, and on whether the three of you are all comfortable together. Anyway, good luck.

I will be in the Pais and have two sisters on the menu. They live about 100 miles from SD in different cities. There is one more sister who lives in Bavaro. I know all three and have slept with 2. The ones I slept with want to see me in SD. I plan to see one in Caberete and one in SD. I was under the impression that this was all on the DL. The third sister wants to be the third wheel in both places. She hit me on what's up and informed me she was accompanying her sisters when they visit me. One of the girls was a girl friend for a while and the others hung out when we were together. This blew my mind. It is very possible the girls know everything are going with the flow or maybe they are planning pay back. There is a part of me that wants to bang all 3 but I think this is out of the question. I am somewhat concerned that they could be setting me out.

Don't know your situation but I have an ongoing situation where I am with three sisters (same mom, different dad) plus a cousin. I see two more consistently. I never speak of one to the other, they all know I know all of them but that I know of, they would not speak to each other about it. I do not / cannot see all 4 each trip but if I see one, I may give her chocolate for the other two as well, and in the last three years, there have been no issues.
Mamasan is not always the best source of information about lesbians/trios. Many times mamasan told me that chica does it and chica said no and vice versa.
Spend some time interviewing chicas, this can make real difference between awesome and shitty experience.

Since you already know the girls what's the use of having a third wheel in less she is participating.
Getting a free vacation is very tempting for her. I am sure she pushed the sisters. The hang on sister is the gold digger of the group. She would be the one who buys the most expensive food. She has a Chec novio who has had her on cruises and spent big money on her. There is no way she is giving me any ass. Mr E getting new puss is no big deal in the DR. However I am loyal to the ones who give me a good time. When they no longer make the grade they go. Though you may be bored this is part of my flow.

Guys,
I am trying to help a young friend out. He is a 22 year old guy who wants to move to Dominican Republic. He asked me for help because I travel to other parts of central / south America, but I have never been to Dominican Republic. This young guy is very outgoing and resourceful but he is blind. He is also a martial arts expert (trainer) and can handle himself very well (he is actually a deadly guy if he has an issue). He thinks he wants to move to either Santo Domingo, Santiago or Puerto Plata. Ideally, I want to get him set up in a Spanish immersion course (he speaks no Spanish). I think helping place him in a home where they help with the Spanish immersion would probably help. He is a not a monger and wants to find a girl friend.
If any of you guys can help me, I would appreciate it. I would really enjoy speaking with you by phone. Please PM me if you are inclined to help. Thanks in advance!!

Guys,
I am trying to help a young friend out.
Thanks in advance!!A blind man who doesn't speak Spanish in Santo Domingo will likely get eaten by the sharks!

Especially for someone who has never been there? That is wildly unrealistic, and no one would advise him to do so.
Even with an immersion course, someone with no family / friend support network there is at a HUGE disadvantage. And sightless as well? Not good.
Tell him to take a vacation there for a couple of weeks.
Puerto Plata and Santiago would have less services or amenities than Santo Domingo.

Yeah if questioned by US Customs on why is he in Cuba he can always say he didn't see the sign. I guess at 22 yr old- he realized being a blind, deadly Kung Fu Jedi Master, that he can just use the Force to communicate. He also heard that the chicas are far more prettier in the DR and wants to SEE for himself.

A few more facts about this guy: Despite being blind, this guy has lived on his own for years. He has traveled to Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico and Australia. He has plenty of money since he has a trust fund set up for him. His father (African America) was a "dirty" DEA agent and apparently killed but left my friend enough money to live for the rest of his life. His mother is latina.

They will see him coming (pun intended) and try to take full advantage. Just read some of the posts in the DR threads. Many talk of how Dominicans are always trying to get over. And if they know that he can not SEE them getting over AND he does not speak the language then he is pretty much shark bait. As is said about Thailand, "If you want to make a small fortune, then start off with a large one. " Soon there will be a similar saying about your friend's trust fund and the DR.
Another member had this to say in the Panama thread today, which I find to be true as well...
As far as service is concerned, Brazilians give the best while Dominicans give the worst. Generally, I have found that most Latin American providers give relatively good service while I have found that most Dominicans will give as little service as they can get away with. That may not be the experience of many mongers on this board but it is mine. Also I have read that many mongers find non pro Dominicans in the DR to be very friendly. Remember though that because of the proximity of the DR to the US many Dominican chicas have been spoilt by American men coming to the DR and throwing money around..

I agree with what T saying about DR chicas giving less as possible. But I find that in general with women in this game. If Brazil chicas have a different code; that maybe some where I want to explore. When are you going to Brazil MR E? I know you been there and going soon?

Is it easy to buy Viagra and Cialis in Dominican Republic?Yes, over the counter no prescription. The branded versions will cost a fortune though but you can get the generics dirt cheap. The generic version of Viagra is Sildenafil and the generic version of Cialis is Tadalafil. Do not buy it from street vendors, buy it in a pharmacy.

Wow Esteban you are such a great guy helping your blind friend. That blind guy is going to do great in the DR. Set him up in a room in El Batey of Sosua and buy him a motoconcho too. HE will meet lots of girlfriends there. Nobody will notice HE is a blind guy when HE drives the motoconcho because everyone drives in DR as if they were blind. It should not be a problem when HE crashes too because HE knows KunFu and HE will be able to fight anyone complaining about his driving.

I have never been to DR. I am contemplating a circumnavigation of the island on a small motorcycle, which I will buy there. My question is. Roads are ok? Much highway robbery?
Lots of police check points? Do they shake down westerners at these check pionts? Anyone here done this? Thanks. Lonely.

if you never been to the dr, my suggestion is don't buy any motorcylcle until you get there and get a feel of the island. generally, is pretty safe to travel around the island during the day and afternoons. the roads are pretty good in major cities but they are a lot potholes and dirt roads in small towns and you always have to be on the lookout for big potholes wherever you are driving or you may end up with a big whole surprise and pretty bad falling from the bike and injured. there is a culture of corruption in the police so you should be ready for stops from police even if there are no stop points and they notice you, be prepare to be stopped and be asked to give then some money for breakfast, lunch, whatever. make sure that if you driving across the island all the paperwork of the motorcycle are in order. you don't want to increase the odds of being bribed or get the moto confirep001ed by police (and if this happens it may disappear). there are traffic laws that a lot of people don't respect. so if you are crossing a green traffic light, you should look the other way before going in case a truck is heading your way. the law of the bigger fish (a truck) eating the smaller one (a motorcycle) it is pretty common so you always have to be on the lookout. also, a lot people drink in dr specially thursdays to sundays and many of them drive while intoxicated so that is another thing to watch out for those drunk drivers. there is no a lot checkpoints, it all depends where you are driving. if you a gringo you are going to be a target not only for the police, but also the husslers and scammers because you are going to have written dollar signs on your forehead. i am dominican born and can blend easily and still have gotten scammed. imagine, i bough a coconut from a hatian vendor and he sold me a nice coconut for 150 dr pesos (almost 4 dollars) in boca chica when i did not know the actual price. i go to the capital the next day and bought another coconut in the center of the city and found out i got scammed because the dammed coconut was only 20 pesos (50 cents). this is typical in dr always check for prices so you learn what things are sold and expect getting the gringo treatment or gringo tax.

I don't think people use bikes to drive out of town. It is more of an around-town thing. If you are circumnavigating I suppose you are driving around Haiti as well?

Report for you next year. And no, I won't be going to Haiti. I speak fluent Spanish and want to remain in the Spanish speaking DR. Happy tails! Lonely.
I will retire first of the year and will be booking a trip somewhere, Caribbean and need advice. I've lurked around this board for a long time and now it's going to happen. I always fancied Haiti but Bad Bear's out of business and I don't think Haiti is for solo new guys who don't speak Creio. I think Haitian women are pretty fine tho. I do like the darker ladies should I stick to the DR and a resort like Black Beards? I don't know any Spanish either. What should my budget be for 4/5 nights, air fare from Midwest USA? Thanks guys I got more questions but I got a couple three months to get it figured.
Any advice is appreciated Frank.

Any advice is appreciated Frank. In DR for traveling solo you have a lot of options, but the best options for mongering in my opinion are in Sosua and Boca Chica. Sosua belongs to the municipality of Puerto Plata and in PP is where Black Beards is located. I can not comment on BlackBeards itself because I have never been there and personally don't like those type of settings. In any case, Sosua has a great beach and you will find chicas everywhere at the barsin Sosua at night and the price for accommodation ranges from very cheap to very expensive, there is a wide range depending on the hotel class. Just look at booking.com or look at the hotel recommended on this board. Don't even consider going to an all inclusive hotel because those are mostly for families and are not chica friendly. As for your budget it all depends how much you want and are comfortable in spending and the kind of accommodations you want and the number of chicas and type of chicas you want and your eating habits. You should be fine with 1000 dollars or much less for 5 nights all including hotel accommodation, 5 or more chicas ($40 or $50 dollars is the average chicas charge there, the Haitians often charge less), food and transportation (not the flight included in this example). There are a lot of Haitian women in the DR and you won't have a problem in finding a lot of chocolate chicas in Sosua both Haitians and Dominicans. As for the flights, Check google flights prices should being the 500 or 600 range.

For the brother that mentioned that I am only looking for approving opinions of my plan. That is true. But I do listen closely for opinions of guys that actually tour on a Motorcycle. The guy that rides his motorscooter from his condo to the Sousa beach every weekend isn't much help to me. For one thing on a tour my motor will be at max gross which greatly effects.
Manuverability, stopping distances, ect.
I pointed out the specific danger of riding in West Africa, relegion. We told the natives that if they beleive, God will care for them. When it's your time to go, you go. So, they go to.
Church every Sunday, confess their sins and then get back on the road and drive like hell. If we actually.
Beleived the BS we spread, we would drive the same way they do. I saw many missionarys driving in West Africa. They drive carefully and slowly. They don't even beleive thier own BS!
I would be very intersted to hear something specific like that. Something that makes driving there acutely different from driving at home.
Anyway, I appreciate the input and the suggestions. Yes I have pretty much made up my mind to go but will continue to seek as much information about the trip as I can get. Thanks.

I don't understand. If I leave the main roads I may be swept away by a river? You have made me afraid, but afraid of what? If you stay on the main highways, SD to Santiago via Bonao, Santiago to Monte Cristi, SD to Nagua and Las Terrenas, the regular roads on north coast from Nagua to Puerto Plata, you should be fine on a motor bike. SD to Azua on the west is also a fine- two lane on each side, highway, with sugarcane plantations by the side. I cannot speak of east of SD as I have never been there. The highways there remember though, are porous. E. g, anyone can get in. From people crossing to food carts to animals and there are cops that flag you down every now and then, god knows to check what.
I drove (no motor cycles for me) a regular sedan in 2012 - the route was Santiago-San Jose de Las Matas -Moncion. Sabaneta - villa Los Almacigos. Partido-Dajabon-Montecristi. The first tract was mountainous but the road was there, it is the second stretch that shook me. On the map it shows rt 16 but the road was essentially washed out. The only vehicles were high clearance four wheel drives and few and far between. The road was essentially sand, pebbles, rocks and boulders on the side. My Hyundai Elantra (was low ground clearance, an automatic and on the lower gears did not have enough power surge when I had to drive fast going uphill on sandy, serpentine and mountainous stretches, all the time worrying I am going to hit a rock underneath and the engine would stall. The same on the way down. The car would slide. Good tire tread / grip are an essential element. That was a long, scary and lonely stretch, the place was picturesque, with steep ravines around but I had to focus 200% on driving. I presume on a 125 CC mobike, it would be a challenge, if nothing else, to manage balance.
In general, the flat lands are fine but the Island is mountainous, and where there is no tourist, there is no maintenance and washed roads, potholes and rocks are ubiquitous. I would think, those are the biggest challenges on such roads. The people are friendly though: this last August I had a flat on a mountainous stretch and luckily I was close to a pueblo and they helped me fix it so language is helpful.
Les deseo buena suerte!
I assume semi pros. Never having been there. In other parts of the world I take them to dinner and drinks and after we make the beast with two backs. I always pay the same where ever I am. If she don't discuss price will she charge me 100 $ after? The girls on Dominican Cupid, in my opinion are "model quality". Any one else try that place and may I ask.

For ST figure figure $35-$40 when converting pesos to dollars. If you offer a hot looking working girl 800 pesos (a little less than $20) they will not be happy. The price should always be agreed upon before going to your hotel room.

How you fared?. Thanks. Lonely. Most of the girls on the DC dating site are not full blown pros, and in fact a lot of them are looking for boyfriends who might be sending them money when they are away. Also, the majority of the DC girls are not "model quality", lie about their age and the photo's can be deceiving. Your proposed "methodology"might work with one girl and be a disaster with another. If you have good Spanish speaking skills you should be able to figure out what kind of money might be involved with them upon learning more about them such as do they currently have a job, etc. An average weeks pay in the DR is about $ 50 which you should be aware of. You can sport-fuck hundred's of girls in Sosua and Boca Chica for less than that with a lot less hassle than working the DC dating site. If you don't have some Spanish speaking skills, don't waste your time on that Site as communication will be a problem for you.
I have had great experiences with Cupid girls. There are a broad variety of women on cupid. Everything from church girls to hard core girls. Sosua and Boca Chica are great sport fucking locals. Not everyone is a sport fucker. Some guys want the GFE. Cupid can provide access to girls who will give you this preference. You have to set boundaries for your activity. Girls who are looking for husbands will let you know where they are coming from. Many know that you are looking for a vacation companion and expect to be compensated for their time. In truth as long as you control the engagement you will have a great time.

There always is when I move from one hispanic country to the next. Cuban Spanish is absolutely maddening, Mexico is the best. In Mexico I hardly notice I am speaking a foregin language.
I hope to bump into a few of you on my trip. I will check out Sousa for a couple of days, just to say I been there. But it's not really my scene. As stated before I like to date country girls.
And have a breif, romantic thing. I appreciate all the good info and advice I get here on this site. I will write a trip report next year sometime. Happy tails. PH.
Non pros will continue to return to my hotel over and over as long as I give them a 20 dollar billAnd won't if you don't, and thus are not "non pros" at all, and you live in a dream world of your own construction. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that.
And won't if you don't, and thus are not "non pros" at all, and you live in a dream world of your own construction. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that.I am fat, completely bald and my face is all wrinkled up like a prune. But I don't like to hear it, from me mostly. I carry an image in my mind of a 25 yr old stud with full head of blonde.
Hair topping off a muscular frame! When I'm dating a 20 yr old hottie I feel like I belong. I have even caught myself snickering at old guys in the Philippines walking around with hot.
Young babes and how silly they look. And I"m doing the same thing! Ha ha. Apparently I"m not the only one that runs from reality. But like you said, nothing wrong with it. So.
Anyway, that's why I like using my method of dating. The girl never gives me away. Her job is to pretend my fantasy is real. My job is to make it worth her while. I am so excited about.
My first trip to DR. I suppose you guys arranging a small band and maybe parade is too much trouble?

My first trip to DR. I suppose you guys arranging a small band and maybe parade is too much trouble? Not at all! (Most people know what I mean by this.).
My first trip to DR. I suppose you guys arranging a small band and maybe parade is too much trouble?Upon arriving at Puerto Plata airport there is a small band that greets all visitors. If you like parades head to Sosua on a Thursday afternoon around 5 PM, sit down at a table in front of Premium Bar on the sidewalk across the street from Rumbas Bar and watch the Chicas who are showing up into town parading the Strip!

As a recommendation from reading a post I purchase one of those Nokia Lumia 520 windows 8 cell phone. I thought it would be as easy as my mega galaxy in turning on in the DR however it wasn't. It was $38 on Amazon. I brought it for my Serena Williams. After I received the phone; I liked the Operational system and purchase two more. Fresh purchase the other one from me for his Novia. I did not know it was going to cost 2000 for it to work in the DR. I brought 2 old T-Mobile phone unlocked, I was told T-Mobile has put some type of block them. We went to four different places everyone quoted us the same price. Fresh said the guy in San Pedro quoted him 1700 pesos.
A Haitian guy came up to me and asked me to buy my phone. I took him to the Wi-Fi area to show him how well it works. I didn't tell him about the 2000 pesos it takes to activate the phone. I told him the phone cost $280 in the states. HE negotiated me down to $150. Sold.

I've been a longtime user of Nokia / windows phone, had the Lumia 521,920, and now the 1520 phablet. For my last trip I didn't want to have to keep flashing my phablet out in public. Not that anyone will want to steal a Windows phone, but because everyone would think that it is a Samsung galaxy note 3 LOL. So I purchased a Blu Win Jr for $89 on Amazon, totally unlocked. All I had to do was drop a Claro sim in it and was done. It even supports dual SIMs, so if I really were a frequent traveler I can keep both a Claro sim and an AT&T sim in it, for example. It also worked as a hotspot when I wanted to use the cell data signal to do stuff on my phablet. And of course, the off-line maps got me through over 450 km of driving in one week.
When you're purchasing the 520 or 521 off the internet, make sure it says "totally unlocked" or "factory unlocked", which will usually set you back for $80 -$90. The $35 ones are only "no contract" on t-mo or at&t or metro pcs, still locked to their respective carriers.

Can someone tell me where I can watch the NFL football games that are on USA Network television stations in Puerto Plata or Sosua. Monday Night Football is no problem because it is on ESPN but nobody seems to have the Sunday games that are broadcast on NBC, CBS OR ABC.

I just got a letter from American Express. They removed the $6400 from the accident from my card. They said they are not paying Budget in Santo Domingo because they have failed to provide sufficient documentation. Sucks to be them!

I don't know of anywhere else in sosua.
Most of the cars I have rented in the DR weren't even worth 6000.00. It makes me laugh with some of the junk they rent and walk around with that little detail of a car on paper and mark where dents are on car. I always take sheet from guy and write on bottom "this car is filled with fucking dents cracks and pings in car and glass" they either don't know what it says or just laugh.

All of this talk about insurance and as luck would have it I scraped a bumper this weekend and the owner of the other car wanted to report it. I was parking at McDonalds on Gomez in the capital and I touched the bumper of another car and security would not take a bribe or no for an answer.
I waited for the owner of the other car and had to report the "fender bender" I was told by insurance to go to the Casa de conductor, which was very close by. Bolivar before Lincoln. The whole process took less than 1 hour, we showed insurance, licenses and matriculation, the agents did the rest, fill out paperwork, took pictures copies of all documents very easy process (FYI I needed to bring in my passport later that day for them to photocopy to get my license back). No muss no fuss. Anyway, on the inside of this location they had a restaurant, salon and haircut, clean bathrooms even waiter service for coffee and water, this is what I saw. For more serious accidents you may have to stay up to 48 hours, they supposedly have rooms for you to sleep in and relax, I did not see those.
Very good service. So if this is where you go when you have this type of insurance it seems great. I still can't believe the owner of the other car wanted to waste 1 hour in this place filling out a report for a bumper scrape that had no real damage. But I was not about to run away with witnesses around. Anyway, I will post more if something bad happens.
One more important thing guys, leave the "old spice" cologne in America LOL. "High karate", "Brute" are old cheap guys cologne and only help play yourself out. Invest in some good cologne please guys LOL.
Hey fellas,
Just a reminder to be careful on the Dominican Cupid website. The putas are moving their street games onto the website. There are plenty of good women on there but there are also plenty of hustlers.
I ran into a few.
The first chick asked me straight up for money for her internet and when I said no she immediately stopped talking to me on whatsapp.
The next chick played the game a little bit better. She softly asked for money initially and gave a sob story that she would not be able to get on the internet or communicate with me because she is broke. Now I can a hustle from a long ways off but I decided to give 25 bucks to this chick as a nice gesture and to see how she would act after. Many pros would probably have said that was my first wrong move but I figured 25 dollars, for me, is a small amount of money to see if this chick is genuine or if she is a puta as I was thinking.
Well, how do you guys think this ended up? She got the 25 bucks and the begging just got more intense. She was not at all grateful for getting what she got. She insisted that she was going to delete her Dominican Cupid account, too many men were talking to her and her heart was only for me. At this point I am becoming more and more annoyed by this puta so I am firm in not giving any more money til I see her in person. In further conversation, this chick begins to dictate that when I come see her it was only to know her better. Sex was not going to be an option. So in summary, this chick wants me to send her enough money for a phone (approx. $125 bucks) on top of the $25 bucks I gave her. And to top that off sex was off the table of options.
The hustle became fully clear at this point. She blames me for not buying her a phone, as her reason for talking to other guys.
I'm sure some of you are talking to her so don't give her any money. If you do, she will simply keep asking for more and most likely you will get nothing in return.
The names of the two chicks are Cristy from the Santo Domingo area and Maria (19) from the Los Alcarizos area of Santo Domingo.
I don't think anybody should be surprised girls try to get money via Dominican Cupid. Think about it, why else would they be on there? It's all about the money. Anybody who has a problem with that should avoid the site.

First off (if I were in your shoes) I'd have said from the start that I'm in santo domingo or wherever you plan to be when you arrive. If she asks to meet you just say you're working and that you'll see when you'll have time but talk to here somewhat often. If she's lead to believe you're in the country working or what have you and aren't in a rush to see her it will honestly work on your favour.
Now obviously your cell number will show as being abroad, to ease her mind you could say that you've not changed your number on whatsapp as you want to keep your old number on there to not have to give out your new number to all your old contacts. If she asks to call you just use viber or skype or something.
Taking the above into consideration, as soon as she asked for money you should have said no, or better yet, no que te pasa or "no, estas loca?" She would've stopped asking for money till you at least got your dick wet.

I don't think anybody should be surprised girls try to get money via Dominican Cupid. Think about it, why else would they be on there? It's all about the money. Anybody who has a problem with that should avoid the site.DC is a dating site, so I think (and my experience tells me) the majority would be on there to find someone to date. Since I have been going to DR I have met tons of women from DC and LAC. The number of those that I found to be wanting money are few and far between. Last night a new one came to see me. She mentioned taking a taxi from home to the hotel. She said that she would pay to get here and I could pay for it to get back home. 300 pesos. She just went home to get ready for work. I gave her 500 pesos before she left.
I don't think anybody should be surprised girls try to get money via Dominican Cupid. Think about it, why else would they be on there? It's all about the money. Anybody who has a problem with that should avoid the site.I've had some great experiences meeting girls on the DC dating site and none of them have ever asked for money up front. I also always tell them I will pay for their travel costs to come meet me, hence if I have to reject them upon meeting them I'm typically only out a few drinks and taxi money. You need some Spanish speaking skills to work the Site.
I also love using the Cupid and there aere different types of ladies waiting. The hustlers are easy to see. They ask for many ASAP. These ladies I laugh at and sometimes insult. I like the sweet ones who have 1 or 2 kids and are bored to death with their lives. The ones who live in the boondocks and think a trip to the Capital is a dream come true. Most are not sucking dicks every day and will give all the GFE you can handle. I also like the semi pros. These girls post provocative photos and are a bit frisky when you talk to them. I get the whatup connection and slowly push for nude selfies. If I get this I know she is ready and it is going to be a good time. You do have to bait the hook sometimes and $25 is about the right bait. I send the travel money for bus and cab. I prefer to have the girls on my turf. If they are in a hotel in a different city they are less distracted and under you control more. My biggest issue having enough time for both sport fucking and internet trolling. I enjoy both but the trolling sex is way better most of the time.

OldKool,
Boondocks girls are sweet by nature in any country. I agree %100.
I am now within 33 days from my 1st DR trip which is perfect time to do the DC thing.
What are the boondocks towns in the DR? Or which town names in DC most likely mean the girl is from nearby boondocks. ?

Now 100 dollars or anything higher than 25 bucks would have made me feel really stupid. I don't mind playing the conversation out just to see how and what the game is. At any rate just letting you all know they are on there. As some of the other comments stated, most chicas on that site are not working girls. They are regular chicks who want real relationships. Now the game isn't over, she still talks to me and is trying to work her hustle but of course its all a chess game and I don't think she got check mate.
With a dumb ass w / u gringo telling us about how (but not why) he lost his money and continues to have long conversations with an ungrateful ass hustling chica. But I respect the fact you admitted it.The only dumb ass is you, especially if you think 25 dollars is a loss. Only someone who is broke would consider that a loss. That is far less than the site cost and a small fee to know the true intentions of someone in the DR. With that said, I am also not going to be giving away lots of money with nothing in return. Its all about fishing and that was purely bait. I half expected it to be a sham but definitely wanted to satisfy my curiosity and willingness to take a chance. The game ain't over, I may still get what I want if I play this the right way.
I just wanted to share knowledge about who and what we are dealing with. That is what this site is about right?

DC can be a great source for getting new girls on the roster. Sure sometimes use have to cut the line but when you hook a keeper it is awesome. I am a couple a days from being in the DR and I have been working a few ladies I met on DC. One of the hot ones who lives in Santiago wants to come to SD to meet me. Now she sends pictures that more provactive. Now you know panities are coming off. BINGO She mentioned she likes perfume deal closed. She will be on my territory which gives me more control. First two days I have 2 DC girls coming to SD. One is a long time chica better known as the other sister. For guys who know my roll this will be funny.
After these two it is on to Sosua for sport fucking. I LOVE the DR.
Anybody know about any swinger clubs in the DR or have any experience with that kind of lifestyle in the DR?
Please PM.

I was talking to a chick today on what's up (pre-trip prep) Told me she from small town and her mom is sick and can't work, dad is dead, and she will have to skip college this semester cause she can't afford it. Etc. All within 30 minutes of chatting. But NEVER yet asked me for anything. Cause I took ctrl and steered the conversation towards her town / country economics: salaries, unemployment, job opportunities. Etc and she never asked for money. I feel she understood that she is lucky to find a 5000 pesos salary working 10 hrs a day six and half day in a store as she spelled out herself.
It's about respect and economics: supply, demand. Etc.
Not taking sides but I don't think GM1 was being rude! It wasn't a personal criticism but more like the act itsel!
GrownMan1, I was once quoted $50 by a Cuban girl inside a taxi siting right next to me: I laughed and screamed inside the taxi, opened the door and ran down the sidewalk laughing and screaming in intentionally exaggerated shock. Just to make a point to the jenitera how out of touch she was! Girl and driver were startled and neither one attempted to get me back!!
In what economic paradigm is it acceptable to send money for unmaterialised / unrealized goods and services is beyond me!

After doing last month Thursday and Friday in Sosua, we decided to leave instead of giving Saturday. As we were passing through Nagua we saw Chino on a motor scooter at the light and he stopped us. Chino is a boca Chico hustler who was kicked out of Boca Chica for a few months for dealing with some drugs and a Tourist. He was telling us that we need to stay in Naqua because it was a non tourist area and we could get any girl we wanted for as low as 500 pesos. I did not want to just stop for a few minutes but the guys insisted. This is why I hate groups. Chino introduced us to some very nice looking chicas. I told one chica that she needed more friends and she actually went running down the road trying to find more friends. In about 30 minutes she rounded up about 4 + three were in the salon. They range from 6 to 8. They look hungry and very excited 4 out the country entertainment. 6 Americans walking in the area was something that they would not use to seeing. Mr G. This is great non puta action. An endless supply for visitors. It was Saturday in Nagua and I remembered a little what Camero wrote. Saturday is the party night. Gino said he can get us a good rooms for a thousand pesos. I was ready for Nagua. Then E and justice begins complaining about their finances. They just were ready to get back to Boca Chica. T join in with them. I'm asking them why the hell did we stop and wasted a hour. I was disappointed but I went with the group. I would have told them to leave me but I rented the van. The van was already on a spare because of those damn potholes driving on the north coast. You cannot avoid them without driving in another lane or swerving to a smaller pothole. I almost wish I would have went Santiago's route. I chose quicker time over smoother route. I am definitely going to Nagua's this month.

Is oneway tickets (US-DR) okay with both airlines and DR authorities?
Has any of you (Americans only) been asked to buy a return flight or had issues in this matter?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.I had a friend that was question one time by Southwest Airlines in Jacksonville Florida. He happen to remember his return flight was with JetBlue and walked over and got his return itinerary. I was questioned in Miami with American Airlines when I tried to leave on an early flight after buying a one way ticket. I told them they didn't ask that question when I bought the first ticket but there was no problem. That was one time for me out of 20.

GrownMan1,
I appreciate that. You got a lot of experience in DR so I'll take your word for it and just book one way flight then.

Jeff Bachner for New York Daily news.
Attorney Oliver Storch (r.) appears in Brooklyn court with FDNY EMT Elwood Thomas, who is accused of [CodeWord125] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord125) his new wife.
The lawyer for a veteran FDNY paramedic who's accused of [CodeWord125] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord125) his new wife defended the first responder as a man who got framed when he tried to divorce her before she became a USA Resident.
Elwood Thomas, 50, is charged with forcing himself on his 34-year-old wife. Sometime in the summer and again last week, but defense attorney Oliver Storch argued Tuesday it was a bad romance, not a violent one.
"he married a younger person and sometimes love doesn't work out," the lawyer said after Thomas was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
The woman is from the Dominican Republic and has been seeing the EMT for eight years before getting married and moving here on a fiance visa in July, Storch said.
It didn't take long for marital trouble to emerge.
During their honeymoon in Atlantic City, the woman asked for extra cash and was rebuffed by the civil servant, who's been working as a medic for 22 years, said the lawyer.
"It went downhill from there," he told the judge.
Storch claimed the wife told his client, "You better go through with the green card or I'm going to go to the police" and made good on the threat when he started planning for a divorce.
In her complaint, she said that Thomas twice pinned her down and had sex with her in their home as she said "No," according to a source.
She reported it her mother on Nov. 6, a day after the second alleged incident, then went to the hospital and the police.
The defendant's relatives stood by him and called the allegations "completely false. ".
After hearing from the defense lawyer, Judge Danny Chun allowed Thomas to be released on a $5,000 bail. A fraction of the $75,000 the prosecutor asked for. Chun said the bail can be raised if Thomas actually gets indicted on the first-degree [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) charge, which carries a 25-year maximum sentence.
"This is a very strange occurrence," Storch said, adding that the city employee, who's been suspended for 30 days, intends to clear his name.
"he's in the business of saving lives. ".

The problem with all this is that even if he is acquitted, at the criminal level, outside of the legal cost and embarrassment (hey, it showed up in the newspapers), it is a legal problem at the job. He is in an administrative investigation (30 day suspension) and since it is based on criminal charges it can exceed the 18 month limit of the investigation. He will be lucky if he beats the administrative charges in less than 18 months. Now he has to fight not only for the 30 days in pay but also for time and leave (vacation, sick, and holiday- which is not much) and pension credits (if one is not recorded as working a certain number of hours a year one will receive part time, rather than full time, credit for that year, which translates into less money into the pension and he will receive less on distribution. Many who go through this are not aware of this until they retire, in which case it is very difficult to correct!). The good thing is that he has civil service status, in which case he is entitled to due process. In plain English, they cannot just fire him.
Also, once these charges are made his wife will exercise her legal right as a survivor of domestic violence, request, and will be granted citizenship regardless of anything he does for her. DV is a category that accelerates and exempts many from applying through the normal process for residency or citizenship. What I would have done in his situation (besides the obvious of not getting into the situation in the first place) is set up a situation of recording her making these threats. He has been seeing this woman for eight years and all of a sudden a [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) allegation occurs? The writing on the wall is obvious and this is why the judge lowered the bail. This guy has two legal cases he must deal with. Even if he wins this at the administrative level (and something tells me he will) it permanently stays in his job record and sometimes the agency will try to use this to set up a pattern (whether he is right or wrong) if there are any other difficulties with him, in the future. I've seen it happen and a buddy of mine is going through something like this right now (we were talking about it as recently as yesterday, although the allegations are not as serious). The good thing is that the EMT worker has been with the agency over 20 years so he can easily retire whenever he wants.
One would think that after knowing someone for eight years one would know the person enough to avoid all this! Like they say you never know someone until you live with them! Actually, I've seen this guy before.
Thank you Mr Gogo for the link.

I purchased my one way ticket today hope you didn't bring me bad luck. LOL.You can certainly buy a one-way ticket if you don't know what date you are returning, but some airlines may not let you fly if you don't have a ticket to return. This has certainly happened to me with Spirit airlines.
One solution, if you have a computer or smartphone with you is to buy a return ticket while you are at the airport checking in, and then show it to them. By using an app like Kayak or Cheapoair, you can probably research which flights you would buy if forced to buy one to be able to travel, so you can be prepared.
Another thing you can do, if you genuinely don't know when you will return is to buy the very cheapest flight you can find out of the DR to the US, possibly a Spirit airlines flight from Santiago to Fort Lauderdale, or Spirit out of SDQ, or maybe a flight to to San Juan or Providentiales, with the intention of using that as a throwaway ticket, although if you can get it for a date when you MIGHT use it, at least you have that option open to you and can buy the connecting flights later. Incidentally, you can also get a very cheap (almost free) train from Fort Lauderdale airport to Miami International Airport to widen your flight options for connections.
Anyway, if they do let you board with the one-way ticket, then you are home and dry, but always better to have a backup plan so that you don't panic and overpay for a ticket bought at the last moment.

Once you are checked in to your flight you can cancel it.

Frannie,
So what you are saying is it might be a problem w / some airliners. But you didn't say how will DR immigration react once there!
I flew with AA, United and continental one way flights before and never had issues. I just want to make sure it isn't an issue in DR airport!
And thanks for the caution on Spirit airline. I never flew them before.

Jet Blue always asks me for a return ticket when I am flying to the DR. If you don't know when you want to come back but need a return ticket you can purchase a refundable ticket from Jet Blue. It costs more but you can cancel it and get your money back. Then when you are in the DR you can buy the ticket for the date you decide to come back.

And thanks for the caution on Spirit airline. I never flew them before.I said if you can board the plane you are home free. Meaning they will not question you in the DR, because it is the responsibility to prescreen whether you have a residency visa for the DR, or a return ticket to the US, or a passport for that matter, is delegated to the airlines. Sometimes the airline agents may overlook this, but you cannot absolutely count on it. It could be that the screens viewed by agents require checking a box on correct documentation for some airlines, but not for others, or that some airlines allow agents to override this. I really don't know.
It is also entirely possible that you could arrive in the DR without a showing a passport to the airline in the US, but then you would definitely have problems at the airport in the DR.

I've decided to stay in Juan Dolio initially and will explore later on.
What do you all recommend on where to stay?
I been doing search online and I dicovered a place called "La Siesta Apartment" anyone been there? It seems decent and low cost. But there is vertually no info on it. Can't even find contact number!
I chose Juan Dolio because it is the closest "CLEAN" beach to SD.
P. s: I'm in a similar quest like Camaro's and have no interest in BC. Based on RTFT and the generous advice I got from you guys, I've decided to bypass BC even though it's slightly closer to SD.

What do you all recommend on where to stay?Try Caribe Paraiso, Camno De La Playa, Playa Juan Dolio 21004, Dominican Republic.

I know of others who have stayed there and they liked it. I never spent time there but did see the rooms and they were nice. The ones facing the beach they charge more for. Also, some of the rooms you do not have to pass a guard or front desk so noone knows your business.

Boriman,
Thanks bro. I been looking at Caribe Paraiso. It looks nicer and starts from $28/ night (sin cocina) and Not facing beach. And that's the one I'm leaning towards so far. They offer better deals per week and month.
Plan is hotel, host family (Habitacion) and eventually my own place renting. In that order!!
Good looking out.

I have stared meeting dominicanas online.
Are they worse (better) than colombianas?
If I met this babe, Laura 24, or Remmi 28, are they to be considered semi-pros, right from the start?
As you notice, I'm a total newbie on DR.
In Colombia it's easy to meet beautiful girls, online, in real life, asking out a prepago etc, it's easy, I heard/red it is even more relaxed in DR!
Are they jealous like colombianas, like crazy?
I'm tall, white, 44 why-o, and I like the cafe con leche-thing. And many times it's mutual.
Well, I will start do the theoretical homework and the first rounds of comunication with those girls.
Colombianas and venezolanas are in general more beautiful, but dominicanas seem to counter with Real asses, not fakes, like their colombianas sisters.
I like Dominican woman. The ones we encounter tend to be poor and not well educated. The will go all out for you in the sack. There is a broad spectrum of women on the internet boards. Everything from church girls to hardcore putas. You have to chat with them to see what you are dealing with. I prefer the semi pros because they do not expect a serious relationship. I want good sex with the trimmings. Non pros want to be wined and dined meet mom and dad. Most have kids and all the problems and expenses they entail.
It is not hard to please them. Nice gifts like perfume or electronics will get everything you want. Speaking a little Spanish will go a long way. I would not cultivate a serious relationship. Be clear about what you want and expect.

Thanks in advance.I flew last week from the USA To POP via Jet Blue on a one way ticket and had no problem but the ticket agent I had at check in was a scatter brained Colombian kid that got all excited when he saw my Colombian residency visa in my passport and started a ten minute conversation with me about where he was from in Colombia etc. I was prepared with a 24 hour cancelable AA ticket reservation that I promptly canceled once through check in but once on the plane I was sitting next to an older couple who were refused a boarding pass until they bought a return ticket. I strongly recommend that you come prepared with a return ticket of some kind.

The vendors on the beach are everywhere and the whole scene is a little weak. Juan Dolio is chill. When I lived in sto ego we would go there all the time and also to the next city of San Pedro. The hotels in Juan folio are generally cheap and right on the beach. You can usually just roll up to one and get a spot for maybe 25 USD. Maybe you find a lemon on your first night and then just cruise around day 2 and find your spot.
Also. If you end up going to San Pedro you will be in luck if you want to practice your day game. I hooked up with some hot ones down there. My friend hooked up with a couple cousins or sisters once and had one cooking and one fucking while the brother was going to the store to get rice and then beer. The malecon in San Pedro is also sick! Hella people at night just cruising. If you choose to stay there there is mainly only one hotel and it is big enough that I never had a problem getting g a room. And it was about thirty USD.

One, I was distracted by the hot pics but I think the woman said that she's tired of writing and wanted to make a deal either by voice note (WhatsApp) or through a call (llamada).
Also, 3-4000 pesos (about 100 usd) is what the girls at the brothel clubs off independencia charge to take them home. For how long and what you do depends on the girl and your game. Street hookers go from 1000 up.
I had a bad one that looked like that one try to take me for 5000 but I was tripping because my friend and I already bought bottles and I thought we had it in the bag.
I hope that helps. Just be careful with these ladies. They will try to connive you and then get loca when you assert yourself.

Well the peso has struck a new 10 year low against the dollar. Just don't go passing money out like it is growing on trees. Protect your future.Wise advice. Us older mongers saw how this worked in Rio early in the last decade. The Real weakened significantly between 2001 and 2003, going from 1. 7 Real to the USD to almost 4 Real to the USD. Many mongers starting throwing around money "like it was growing on trees," and thus pushing up chica prices. Of course when the Real normalized a few years later, the prices for garotas did not go back down to compensate.
Note: I'm not predicting the Dominican peso will behave the same way as the Real did. Nor am I casting all blame for the increased prices in Brazil on reckless gringos.
Is she out of her mind 50 K, I can get a better deal in Europe. DR is a Third World Country to each his no way I would give a working girl there 50 K you better of going to a brothel in Santiago or Santo Domingo where you can hit the same type caliber girl in that video for 4K-5K!

This is just a collection of a few of the helpful tips I've been given or found out while getting ready for my trip.
You have to purchase a Tourist Card to get into the Dominican Republic. The card costs $10 USD, cash only, exact change. You have to have the Tourist Card before you go through Customs. The card is good for up to a 30 day stay, is single use only, and is good for up to 1 year from date of purchase. You can avoid the line by buying your Tourist Card online. The process is quick and easy, took me about 3 minutes. Then just print the card out. The website with information and where you can purchase the Tourist Card is:

Always negotiate a price up front, whether for a taxi or a streetwalker. If you don't, you will end up being ridiculously overcharged, and in many cases, you can do little about it. Beware of scams. If you spend some time reading the forums, you will find many different examples. Nobody in the Dominican Republic is your friend. Everyone looks at you as a walking cash machine, and they are all eager to make some kind of withdrawal. While this may not be entirely true, it is a good starting point.
There are 3 general types of sex vacations you can take in the Dominican Republic, each with many different variations. These are my names and descriptions.
IHH Vacation: In House Humping.
This vacation is for someone who doesn't want to make decisions, who wants a minimum of hassles, and just wants to stay within close range of his hotel room, with plenty of chicas ready to take care of his needs. The most popular, certainly on this forum is Blackbeard's Resort in Costambar, just outside of Puerto Plata. There you rent a room, there is a bar and restaurant on premises, and there are plenty of chicas who are on-site, for a standard price. This is a good option just to get your feet, and other things, wet, in the Dominican Republic. You can find information in the Puerto Plata Thread.
The other IHH option is at an All-Inclusive Resort, where the chica is part of the package. This is the most hassle free type of vacation, but it carries a very big price tag. The prices range from about $2500 up to $7000 for a week. There are several options through the DR, ranging from 2 star to 5 star. Just like a regular all-inclusive vacation, all your meals and drinks are included in the price, as well as all the sex. I believe at Blackbeard's you can expect to spend about $120/ day, depending on your appetites.
FIB Vacation: Fish In A Barrel.
This vacation is for someone who is willing to put out a small amount of effort. The most popular location is Sosua, located a short drive from Puerto Plata. This is the kid in a candy store scenario. In Sosua, day and night, you will have no problem finding willing partners. You will need to negotiate a price, and negotiate the service, a minor hassle, but it is definitely a buyers market. One thing to check before you come, is whether or not the hotel is guest friendly. Some hotels will charge you for bringing an extra person to your room, and all inclusive resorts won't let you bring anyone in. There is plenty of hotel information in the Sosua and Sosua Hotels Threads, and a list can be found here:
http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?2758-Sosua-Hotels&p=1111401#post1111401.
You can have this type of vacation anywhere in DR, but nowhere is there as much variety and value as in Sosua.
TMH Vacation: The Mighty Hunter.
This is not a vacation for the timid, or for someone who is not willing to put up with adversity. The premise is simple, you go away from the easy spots and develop some sort of game plan from there. There are many women throughout the DR who are quite willing to go to bed with you, but each one has their price. The easiest ones are the pros. Having sex with tourists is their job. You can find them just about anywhere, but especially in places frequented by tourists. The next category is the semi-pro. These are women who have a job, but are willing to pick up some extra cash doing odd knobs. Errrr jobs. You can find them in clubs, casinos and discos, in the malls, or online. Some extra care is needed in dealing with semi-pros. Some will be offended if you offer money, others will be offended if you don't. Some veterans have suggested offering money in lieu of a gift for their mother, children or whatever. The last category is the non-pro. You are going to need some serious skills here, at least if you're aiming for 9's and 10's. Just like at home, they are going to expect to be wined and dined with witty conversation and all that crap. Good looks, deep pockets and good Spanish will help you out with them.
There are some online resources to help you find these women if you're going the TMH route. Dating sites like Dominican Cupid, Latin American Cupid, and apps like Tagged and Hi5 are useful. Even if you plan on just going to Sosua and taking advantage of the easy pickings, you might want to check these sites out. If you fill out a profile, and put up a picture or two, and you're not totally hideous, you will have women of all ages contacting you. Once again, it is a buyers market. I've had dozens contact me, and many are willing to send pictures and videos to try to convince you to pick them. Choose wisely.

https://www.latinamericancupid.com/
If you talk with any of the women from these sites, they will ask if you have Whatsapp. It's basically a messaging app, that sends text messages through the internet, instead of through the phone service. The advantage of Whatsapp is the women can send you pictures, videos and voice messages that they can't put on the dating sites. You won't be able to send and receive messages on the cupid sites unless you pay for a membership. I paid for a 1 month membership for Dominican Cupid, turned off the auto renewal, collected Whatsapp numbers, and then when that expired, paid another month on Latinamerican Cupid, and did the same thing. Each one costs $29.95 for a month, but I now have about 30 contacts all over the DR. Of course the downside of Whatsapp is that everyone you give it to will have your phone number. Whatsapp allows you to block a person, and most won't spend the money for a real call. I have had to block 2, and I have also received a few text messages from some spam site. No major problems yet, though.
There are a few hundred more things you will want to know. Read the Forums and ask the experts. I'm just a rookie.
There are a few things to watch for on the Cupid websites. First, you will receive a lot of interest from different people. I believe many of these are fake accounts set up by Cupid to keep you paying a subscription. Usually these accounts will have no picture posted, and you will be unable to view the profile. You can safely ignore any profile with no photo.
You will also receive several messages each day from accounts with a photo. These messages are from a different site and are an attempt to get you to go there. I believe the site is Adult FriendFinder, mostly a waste of money. There are a few indications an email is one of these attempts. First, the profile will have 1 photo, that looks professional. Second, the profile will be in English and will be longer than most. The message you receive will also be in English and long, and it will include an email address, and maybe Skype and Whatsapp info. It will also mention photos. Ignore these, they are a waste of time.
You will probably have a few women ask for money. I've heard "sick child" a few times, "broken phone" and "rent due". One asked for a scooter, then asked for a cellphone, then asked for 2500 pesos. I had no trouble getting her to go down to 2000 pesos for 4 hours with me, followed by 2000 for 4 hours with her friend the next day, but then things got strange. She asked me to rent a house for her and her friend, then asked repeatedly for me to marry her. All of this within 30 minutes of her contacting me.
You will find a lot of desperate women on the cupid sites. Of course you will find a lot of desperate women on any dating site, but these women are 18 - 25 instead of 40 - 60. There are also plenty in the 35 - 55 range, if that's what you're looking for. One 18 year old has told me she has permission from her mother for me to sleep in her house. I'm 52, and somehow I can't see myself having breakfast with a 35 year old woman and telling her "Lo siento si los gritos de 'Papi Leche' de su hija le despertaron ayer por la noche. " Pass the salt and do you have any other daughters.

Any message I receive that shows the sender originating the USA Or Europe I regard as fake and delete without even reading. Besides, I am not looking for women in the USA Or Europe to begin with, so reading them would be a waste of time.
A good number of messages from chicas in Colombia are fake profiles as well. Like if I receive an email saying "such and such from Colombia sent you an interest", by the time I log in (later) and try to view the interest, the site's System Admin has already deleted the (fake) profile.

That is the catch 22 of of using Cupid in the DR. If you try to use it only days away from your scheduled trip, it might not be enough time to set anything up. Some of those chicas go days and weeks without logging into the site.
If you start out contacting chicas months or weeks out before your trip, then you get all of the stories you listed above about needing money for rent, sick kid, etc.
IMO, Cupid is not optimal unless you are going to be in the DR for a couple of weeks or so. Then you have enough time to deal with all the bullshit of getting a chica to meet with you without trying to juice you beforehand.
My strategy would be to go to Sosua first, sport fuck as many chicas as I can handle over 2-3 days, then double back to Santo Domingo and play with Cupid. That way you are not feeling desperate to meet a chica and fuck if you had arrived to SD first with blue balls. If one or two chicas flake on you, no big deal. You already had your fill of chicas in Sosua days before.

The most popular ... is Blackbeard's Resort ... You can find information in the Puerto Plata Thread.
Absurd as it may seem, you will find much more information in the "Blackbeard's Resort" thread.

There are many women throughout the DR who are quite willing to go to bed with you, but each one has their price. The easiest ones are the pros. Having sex with tourists is their job. Maybe you did not mean to imply otherwise, but 95% of the prostitution in the DR is between Dominican males and females. The percentage of full-time prostitutes who go only, or mainly, with tourists is very small.
I started in with Dominican Cupid 7 weeks before my trip. Had plenty who lost interest when they found out I was more than a few days away and others wanting support as soon as they asked for money, I shut them out, except for the one wanting a scooter, I couldn't resist watching that train wreck.
A lot of the fakes are from Venezuela and Colombia.
It's really just a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer sport fucking, and for that there is always Sosua. Some people prefer something more. I would rather spend a few hours getting comfortable with them, have a nice dinner and then go back to the hotel for 2 or 3 rounds, followed by breakfast and a goodbye kiss. The cost is about the same as sport fucking 3 different women and you get to start your day out with some morning exercise.

I do the Cupid girls first. 2 or 3 days sport fucking and I have no more leche. With chica you are getting GFE you want to be at your best. If a chica meets you at your hotel with a bag she is fucking 99% of the time unless you really screw up. I seem to enjoy the GFE fucking more then the sport banging.

I've been reading a lot on here about the DR and availability of things and chica. A question came to mind though. OK maybe a few.
What about supplies? Do you travel to the DR with your pills, condoms, toys, lubes, soap, shampoo, etc? Or do you buy local? I know Cialis and Viagra and other brands are available and cheap.
So what do you bring with and what / where do you find locally for supplies?

You might also want to bring along your own ibuprofen, or whatever pain reliever you prefer. I ran out and had to buy ibuprofen there, and they sell the 800 MG pills. They work great, but they also made it difficult to cum for several hours after taking one.
Many of the chicas will want a shower before or after, and they seem to appreciate a good fragrant shower gel.

What's up fellas.
Going to Sosua next week for a week and need help with a few things.
Is there a particular pharmacy for Viagra / cialis I should buy from to get legit pills? And how much should I expect to pay?
I need a phone for local calls and what's app. Verizon has an intl plan for 250 min and whatever data but I don't trust them and fear going over. I'm thinking it may be cheaper to buy a phone locally. Where is best place to get a phone and can I get an estimate on the cost for phone and minutes / data? Also I have a dicell phone from Jamaica. Does anyone knows if it will work there with a new sim?
I'm traveling alone and need a few things while at the beach that can't get wet. My phone, ecig OK 2 thinks. Other than asking other tourists, how does the single traveler protect his shit while in the water?
Lastly I'm into videoing my escapades. Does anyone know How receptive chic as why mujeres are to being filmed? Do they go with it or do most try to press for more money? My game is tight and I can talk reg girls into it but when I'm with pros I'm guessing they may have a rate structure for film. Haha movie star pricing.
My first time there I'm a city kid gone good. Not worried about hustlers or being directly robbed. LOL but a young kid can probably outrun me if he gets a head start and I'm in the water. Any other advice, tips, suggestions on anything from best food, drinks or whatever is always welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance and thanks for all your info on this website funny and serious.

Bronx TwilightVerizon is CDMA so no SIM. Digicel I think is GSM, it's the big carrier in Haiti and you should be able to get a new SIM.
Shooting video will be an issue for many chicas. It can also get you in trouble so it's worth doing some back reading on the forum.
