BAS.Personally I have lived Budapest several times sometimes one or two weeks and sometimes even couple months and for me safest and easiest way is using Airbnb, since you could see reviews about the apartment before committing to rent it and when you want to book longer time like month or two you could usually negotiate good price with owner and for this it helps if you have yourself good reviews from previous landlords there on your Airbnb profile, so those apartment owners who you contact can see you are honest and trustworthy yourself.
Naturally Airbnb is little more expensive than other places could be but I think benefits you get from there is worth it. And with that I mean reviews, english speaking landlords or agencies who handle some of those properties, plus other Airbnb benefits.

Mamaison Riverside is a nice hotel / w good breakfast in a reasonable location next to the river and close to a bridge. The building itself should be somewhat historic and the "lobby area" is almost non-existent. I'm currently in Budapest on a business trip and I can confirm that it will be complicated if you stay in the Continental Hotel.
Once there are Hotel Employees at the Lobby paying attention who comes in and second the elevator only operates with the Hotel Room Keycard, unless the girl is willing to take the stairs.
So only secure way for her to visit you would be to meet somewhere outside and enter the hotel together. Which might be difficult if you're like me with colleagues on the business trip.
Better possibility as already mentioned AirBnB or Booking.com which also offers a lot of nice apartments.

But, to answer your questions, in my experience at least, you pay before the session in HUF. You can use an envelope, but just handing the cash over is fine. They will count it anyway. I have never included a tip. I think if you like the time, the best thing to do is to extend the session. I have found that withdrawing money from the ATM provides the best exchange rate, but you should probably bring enough currency to exchange in case there are daily withdrawal limits or other problems.

My trip to Budapest is over so here is my piece of a cake to share.

But I know I got some extra for free because it was either something they said before meeting they do not provide or later they said for some extra that it is fine they will include it. Also I am sure that to a lot of us happened that we stayed some minutes over the time we payed for and girls were cool with it, this is considered some extra for free too I guess.

Yes it's 1 HR 25 k and 1 pop but you can talk to the girl for 2 pops in 1 hour.
33 k for 90 minutes and 2 pops.
