Thanks!Salons in Moscow are a little less common than in SPB in my experience. Moscow seems to favor the facade of the "Massage Salon" rather than the straight up knocking shop. However, for the few that there are, the procedure is quite simple. You call ahead, give them your name and arrange to be at a designated location. Often at a bar or in front of an ATM machine on the street if the weather is not too bad. A "representative" of the establishment comes over and asks if your name is "John Doe" and then leads you back to the place. In Moscow the places are never advertised openly. Until recently, the representative normally did not speak anything but Russian, nor did the lady on the other end of the phone so if you did not speak Russian, you were stuffed. However, it seems that these service providers are starting to get staff that speaks little English.

But once inside, these establishments are first class. Clean and fresh with nice clean bathrooms and showers. And very safe from a personal security standpoint. Very discreet. These are usually 7 x24 operations. I have called at 4:00 AM and been able to arrange a rendezvous.

I see lots of guys asking about strip clubs vs Craig's list versus whatever. I only have perspective on the strips and there is quite a lot of variation. Yes, fake independents! By pure chance I discovered that some of the girls who claim to be indies, are actually managed by an agency.

Before getting to Penthouse let me add that Rasputins sucks, Nightflight is interesting if you want take out (but much smaller and darker than it appears on the web), Angels is nice, but didn't do the deed, Golden Girls are beautiful, but standard strip club, and Aurora was great and had a nice Euro girl in a pleasant room with nice enough shower. Arrived late after striking out at Angels. These clubs are owned by the same guy, so I took his free limo from Angels to Penthouse. Gorgeous model types at the entrance desk. Can't recall cover. Maybe $30? A hot hostess escorts me into the club, where I decide I'll get a table near the front. Costs something- maybe $50. (Sorry, I'd had a lot to drink by then and it's sort of foggy). 2. Skin Color. I apologize if this offends anyone but most of the "gopniks" they have running FC (face control) are racist as hell. And they seem to have a dislike of people whom they think are "black". So what exactly does that mean? To a Russian, being "black" does not necessarily mean you are African. It just means that you are not white. And in Russian terms, that means that you might be from parts of the "empire" that some Russians do not consider desirable. My trip is coming to an end. Loved Moscow. Exceeded all my expectations. One observation that the nightlife is starting to die. People are just not going to Night Clubs like before. There's probably a lot of reasons for this maybe the crisis, lack of money, working more and change in lifestyle. Besides the traffic that was my only issues, everything else was just super.
