Personally I have not had a good night of chasing girls in Moscow since the late 2000's. Mostly dissapointments and I've pretty much given up on it. I get my kicks elsewhere nowadays.

I have a buddy, European guy, good looking and adonis like physique (has been going to gym regularly for 20 years and keeps an insane diet), suave, charming, with a good job. He cleans up on Tinder. All freebies. This guy wouldnt even consider p4p. But most of his chicks I've seen are 5's and 6's in my book and I wouldn't bother with them at all. I can remember only one or two that seemed interesting to me. Cant think of one stunner in the bunch.

He tells me its getting harder to hook up as he passes 40. Fortunately he has bagged himself a hot (in his eyes) 19 year old trophy wife whom he will take with him when he leaves Russia.

So please forgive me if I am also a bit skeptical about Moscow being the best mongering destination. Or maybe our buddy DramaFree is like my friend (both in terms of his strengths and attributes and standards). In which case Moscow is indeed a playground for him.

But I've never heard a working girl walk away from a potential gig due to a lack of Russian.

A lot has changed for the better as well. Restaurants, transportation, communication, hotels are all better than back in the day. There are PLENTY of cities in the world that are worse than Moscow for mongering, starting with nearly every city in North America.

Just got back from a brief visit to Russia. I was going to use rusdosug but some friends ended up dragging me to Penthouse and had fun. I went back another night. Prices quoted in this thread (2 K rubles entry, 200 per table, 2 K private) are all accurate. Not all places list what it costs to go "downstairs" but if the girl likes you she'll make the effort to explain it to you. Prices at Penthouse were the same as other places so you can also use that.

That said, not all girls want to go downstairs. Reasons vary and its not a big deal, just be polite and wait for the next table dance. Here you may have to be careful, the second night I felt a bit like the business was seeing if it could get more private dances out of me, but being firm and polite still resulted in a good evening.

As for rusdosug, I discovered the "portal" which is entirely in Russian and has this odd thing about photo competitions. If you just search rusdog normally you end up with a lot of hot profiles, but with no history. Girls on the portal frequently have reviews and you can see if they've been recently active, text in English, etc. I only talked to one girl on it but would definitely try to use it more if I'm back in Russia.

What are breakfasts like and prices?I would suggest Bratev Karavaev, it's a chain of cafes. It's all over Moscow, good quality / price and clean. You can see the food in front of you in vitrines.

For coffee, MacDonalds, KFC serve decent coffee. There's also Cofix, Russian, cheap, decent.

That advice earlier on to try Egoist strip club is a pile of bullshit. At the door they aggressively asked for $200 USD min spend to get in. Turned around and walked the hell out of there. Moscow strip clubs generally ask for 1000 - 2000 rubles entrance fee. A guy shouting at you for $200 USD on arrival is guaranteed danger after you start spending. Avoid.

911, and that chain of clubs (Loft, Hunters, Angels) , everything is OK. Pretty much everyone is a 7. Dances for small tips, this is always annoying but the girls have no salary so it's the only way to get a bit of money, other than propositioning the customers. So that's OK. Otherwise a bit pushy about going to privates and such. The big problem I have with these places is that the girls generally stink. I don't know what's going on, but lots of BO and bad breath. LE Rouge is a higher end club. Not so many customers so you get to be in there with 2-3 other people and far too many girls. As soon as one hour goes by someone comes to harass you and you have to explain again that you paid for more than one hour. It's the most bone headed stupid business plan ever, because you're constantly being harassed about your seat and it just encourages the customer to say fuck this and leave. That doesn't help the club, it doesn't help the girls, it helps nobody to harass the customer over small money. Much smarter to charge an entry fee, tell the customer 2 drinks are included, get them drunk and happy and they will spend spend spend. So avoid this place.

Oh one more seemingly Ukrainian business plan stupidity is minimum tip for the 30 second air dance that the girls come around to do is 500 rubles. But you can refuse it. So of course this means that you're either going to get milked to the tune of 5,000 rubles every 20 minutes as every girl comes around or else you say no. It's better for the girls to let the customer tip what they want. You set a minimum and the customer can say no, so everyone gets zero instead of getting something. When you make the customer pay 1,000 rubles per hour to sit down, then of course the customer is going to retaliate by just giving the X to 90% of the girls attempting the air dance. Again, everyone loses with these stupid policies. I don't know how these places can continue to exist.

Avoid Egoist unless you want to get into a dangerous situation. Avoid LE Rouge unless you want to be paying on a stopwatch from the moment you enter this place.

This can be a bit hard if you do not speak Russian or are not used to this system. A few of the places I visited at first seemed unsafe, I guess I live a sheltered life, but everything was OK. Like the outside of the buildings and interior of the building before you get inside their apartment can look rough. Also all the elevators are really small so there are some cultural things you will have to get used to. Another note is the girls will offer you a pair of slippers to walk around their apartment with and tea or coffee which is nice.

Additionally I might be because I am young and relatively good looking a lot of the girls asked to go out after with me, and some are still messaging me on whatsapp even though I am back home. If you address to someone you don't know in Russian using the formal version, you will almost ALWAYS receive a formal and technically polite response. It's like they are robots. They are preprogrammed this way. But the minute you revert to informal Russian, you can expect to be told to "go fuck your mother".

I go to the supermarket, ride metro first thing in the morning, drive. I'm not saying that everybody here is rude, but generally speaking, if you spend time here, you are bound to face rude behavior, not abrupt, not serious, but plainly RUDE, that is a fact that even Muscovite themselves admit. And yes, I also mention that is a trait of big cities.

Regarding racism, if by Russians you mean Slavic, yes, I've seen racism here directed to other Russian from different ethnic groups, but now you are the one over-exaggerating, Muscovite are not particularly racist or even close to foreigners, I would say the opposite. I know an ex-spetsnaz who has a Nigerian guy living at home, trying to help him out get money to go back to his country so.

Again, if you live the Moscow life, be ready to face rudeness above average, that is a fact. Don't take it personally, and let it go fast.

When I think about racism in Moscow, I always go back to my first impressions in 2005 standing in a queue in front of Club Che (long since closed) with 3 work colleagues. One Russian, three foreigners. When we arrived at the front of the queue, the Face Control (FC) informed us that one of our guys would not be allowed in. He happened to be of Lebanese origin and the FC told us that he could not come into the club because he was from the Caucuses. When the local Russian colleague corrected the FC and told him that our friend was American and of Lebanese decent, the FC told us that he still LOOKED like he was from the Caucuses and would not be allowed in.

Yes, you are probably right. In all fairness, Russians (and in particular Muscovites) have come a long way since then.

When I think about racism in Moscow, I always go back to my first impressions in 2005 standing in a queue in front of Club Che (long since closed) with 3 work colleagues. One Russian, three foreigners. When we arrived at the front of the queue, the Face Control (FC) informed us that one of our guys would not be allowed in. He happened to be of Lebanese origin and the FC told us that he could not come into the club because he was from the Caucuses. When the local Russian colleague corrected the FC and told him that our friend was American and of Lebanese decent, the FC told us that he still LOOKED like he was from the Caucuses and would not be allowed in.Oh yes, I've seen the same hate-pattern towards Caucasus people too. Now some other racial incidents are coming to my head and I can see your point about Racism. Thing is that Caucasus people are hard to deal with especially in a nightclub, they go in groups, hot-blooded, and not the guys you want to mess up with. Probably some club owners had some interesting episodes before passing the memo to the gorillas at the door.

Bottom line, yes, racism here happens, so for those of you guys with non-Slavic features, be ready, it may happen. If it does, wash it out fast and don't let some piece of shit ruin your night / trip.

I've been living here 7 years (long before the World cup, still do, I'm pretty aware of the serious baseline of the Muscovite personality. I go to the supermarket, ride metro first thing in the morning, drive. I'm not saying that everybody here is rude, but generally speaking, if you spend time here, you are bound to face rude behavior, not abrupt, not serious, but plainly RUDE, that is a fact that even Muscovite themselves admit. And yes, I also mention that is a trait of big cities.

Regarding racism, if by Russians you mean Slavic, yes, I've seen racism here directed to other Russian from different ethnic groups, but now you are the one over-exaggerating, Muscovite are not particularly racist or even close to foreigners, I would say the opposite. I know an ex-spetsnaz who has a Nigerian guy living at home, trying to help him out get money to go back to his country so.

Again, if you live the Moscow life, be ready to face rudeness above average, that is a fact. Don't take it personally, and let it go fast.

Love Moscow, if there is a better place please tell me. That being said, with full disclosure they are little prejudice, but in Moscow, not a bid deal. Other parts of Russia, might be an issue.

Observation on the Economy. I get mixed messages when I ask people, I will say this much Cafe's are only 50%, with exception of Friday night and most are not even 30% full. Shops outside of shopping Center are completely empty, minus grocery stores. If the economy is bad as I think this makes it even better for chasing girls. Just my opinion.

Just to clarify a bit the position of a guy who lives in Moscow (Russia, not Idaho) in a continuous basis, and also has the experience of coming here for holidays, this is the general attitude you can expect from Muscovite:

- The baseline is a serious face, that's not to say people are not nice.

- Occasionally, expect some quite rude behavior. That's not to say people are rude.

- Also sometimes, you may be the victim of racial discrimination, which doesn't mean that Muscovite are racist. Not at all.

If you read closely, I'm not trying to depict the Russian soul in an internet post, like some smart people do. I'm just trying to give you some inside about what is walking around Moscow, so it doesn't catch you with low guard if it happens. My advice, forget it fast, and enjoy your time here.

Also, I have to inform about my background, I come from an European country, a small southern city in the Mediterranean where unknown people make chitchat out of the blues in shops, banks, or even waiting to cross the street. Neighbors greet each other even when you just moved out, and the butcher tells you about his break up the 2nd time you visit to get more meat.

But if you come from another big city, I don't think you're going to be in shock or anything. It's a relatively quite safe place, just beware drunk people, sometimes they are aggressive.

Remember, Moscow is a megapolis, not Disneyland. Take with a pinch of salt, the reviews of those who try to depict it like the City of smiles, or the ones that think their insight qualifies them to analyze Russia or the Russians. Russia and even Moscow is so big, and people here are so different from each other, that you cannot fit them in the same box. I've just tried to make light generalizations, that for me are accurate, considering where I come from.

Every trip to Moscow is going to be like a box of chocolates, that's the beauty of it. I'm out folks.

So, I rented two apartments in Moscow, for my trip because I didn't want my girl to suspect anything. I outsmarted myself, my girl broke up with me or disappeared. Waste of money and more importantly time, which is money.

At 1 pm, 90 minute ride to the new apartment, without traffic a 15 minute ride. The moral of the story is if you're going to try and find girls apartments you're going to spend a lot of time and frustration. Unless you can speak Fluent Russian you will be in Taxis or Metro all day. Russian can be Rude on the phone so be ready. Plus most of those girls will not be able to speak English, and most Taxi drivers speak little to no English.

Here is the funny part, ready to meet to girls and do some work, my computer breaks. Expensive and non productive work day, but had 2 great sessions with 2 very nice girl. One 7.5 and the other is 6, but both are Rock Stars in the bedroom.
