well its about time i report from spb. with two months under my belt, i have some info to share. anyone coming to town can drop me a line if they want more.

long story short, spb sucks for newbies, but is pretty good if you live here and are willing to put time and effort into the hobby.

magrib - ok, girls think they are hotter than they really are, and think they are worth more than they really are. but at least they are there and if you are traveling you can drop in and shop. i live right next to it, and i don't have the urge to go since i have found better service and looks in the apartments. plus, i did go early on and saw one of the ladies in magrib twice, and i dread the innevitable "why don't you like me anymore" showdown. i did not see any true stunners there.

marstals - horrible. went twice,stayed less than an hour both times and split.

i wish i could produce an annotated map with all of my hard earned findings. i've traveled from end to end in the spb metro, walked miles in the spb streets, entered countless courtyards, climbed darkened stairwells, dealt with all of the peculiarities of spb/russian style. all in the pursuit of the elusive devushka goddess.

first of all. there are several street mags, znacomstva and rendevu (pronounced "rendesvous", like the frency. i prefer rendevu since it is easier to pronounce and it also has better coverage. there is a small 8x6 rendesvous and a larger 10x12 rendevu. some photos in there are labeled "100% photo originale". this is a hit and miss label. like most things russian, there is a grey line. in fact, some of these are legit, but then there a some salons/apartments which blissfully label their ads 100% photo originale, and when you show up and confront them, they say "no, not really, but don't you like the girl/goblins we just showed you??"

here is a web site that claims to use only original photos and in my judgement these are legit. and as you can see, they are not really stunners. they are representative of what you will find.

this form will then return the list of mathing adverts for that number on several well known sites. this is one way to check whether a girl is really indy or affiliated with an apartment/salon.

i have been selective and have gotten to the point where i now arrange to see my favorites on their own time at my place. i give them the same $$ i would pay in salon but they get to keep it, and its a win win.

i can't possibly list all that i have learned, right now. some day i will try to collate my notes and make a list, but the way these apartments work, its like shooting at a moving target. they have multiple phone numbers, they change addresses, they have all sorts of networks between them. the other day, i saw the same girl in a lineup at a totally unexpected location, different from where i had seen her before.

also, i can definitely help with getting past the worst part of the whole apartment game ... the freaking apartment number problem.

i mean, its bad enough that i can barely speak the language enough to get the address on the phone. but they refuse to give you the apartment numberr till you show up on the street. so you finally get to the house (doma) and its sometimes a city block in size with a courtyard and anywhere from 5 to 10 separate entrances, and you have to call and say "i'm here!!" while the wind is blowing, and the cars are roaring past, and you can hardly hear anything coming out of your cellular phone. and you try to say "what do you want me to do now? wait or give me the room (quartera?)" and they shout something incomprehensible back at you, and you say "i don't understand" and they shout more incomprehensible stuff at you, only louder so that it totally distorts on your little cellular phone headset. and finally, you negotiate a strategy to meet. sometimes they talk you to the door "straight, straight, left, left ... there ... no ...right...now ###". sometimes, they come to the street to meet you, but they inevitably take nearly as much time to get from their room to the street as it took me to cross town.

its just as bad when the girls come to you. even if i give them my apartment number, even they can't find the apartments. i typically have to go meet them on the street, even though i have a video monitor on the door and i can buzz them up. its like the whole system of apartment number addressing is beyond the average russian's ability. the ups guys must be the smarted f'rs in all of russia.

so, if you are headed out to a strange address, i just might be able to tell you how to make a proper landing. "go into the ach and bear left along the wall, follow the wall to the 4th door and then buzz 101" ... and of course on some doors you just enter the numbers and on some doors you enter the numbers and then the letter "b" or whatever ... its a mess ... but its worth it when you find a hottie.

I've read almost all post in the spb section, and i've some questions

The "skorro poezd" (express train) from SPB to Moscow is not a bad option, actually. It leaves SPB late, around midnight and arrives in Moscow around 08:00, just in time to begin your day of sightseeing. If you will be staying in Moscow, it will save you the cost of a hotel room in SPB for the night that you will be travelling.

Make sure you get a private compartment, you don't want to be riding in steerage with the great unwashed. LOL Although that would have it's own charms as well. The private compartments, if nothing else, will be warm in the winter. They typically have two benches, against each wall, that can be converted into beds for sleeping. They're not luxurious, but comfortable.

Also, make sure to bring refreshments with you; vodka, ikrah, etc. If you can manage to persuade an SPB dyev (or two) to make the trip with you, then you have the perfect recipe for an evening of fun and frolic.

And that's something you can't do on the plane!

I'm not one to get into big arguments about pricing. I believe in paying higher for higher quality. Its about value.

I don't know why you want to come in here and start an argument. The pricing in Russia is very very rigid. Most web sites list prices and they range from 1500R (about $55/hr) for lower quality to 3000R/hr for premium. This is the way it is. Negotiated pricing in the nightclubs is different but the selection is very limited there.

I'm familiar with South America, Brazil in particular, so I know the pricing. Sure you can get REAL cheap lays in S. America, but in Rio or Sao Paulo, for good girls, it can be as expensive or more so than Russia. When you add up the cost of admission, room and girl at a place like Bomboa its almost $200. For a thermas in Rio its over $100. My point is that the Russian six is not that much more expensive than Brasil.

You are correct that the mongering experience is not as good in Russia for a casual visitor when you add up the cost of hotels, the difficulty in finding good girls, the selection, the language problem. Yes, for pure mongering value South America is better.

But most guys coming to Russia are coming for business or because they like Russian girls. If they come for business all of your points about travel and hotel do not apply. And since they have to be in Russia, they might as well enjoy themselves.

If they prefer Russian girls then Russia is the best place. Its better than paying 2x for same girl in Prague. And you will not find great Russian girls in South America. So it depends what you are looking for.

Basically, your post is uncalled for, and out of line. Let the people who like South America go and be happy. But don't tell others they are stupid for not going there. Besides, if everyone goes to South America it will get more and more expensive which will be bad for those of us who love it.

Actually, I'm living in Russia, so your comments on hotel etc do not apply to me.

I've spent some time in Buenos Aires, but not Brazil. Met some Brazilian chicas in BA, so I know something about Brazil, if only by extension. And, everyone's been to TJ, claro que si!

If she's doing it out of her own free will though (or based on personal financial need and choice) she'll usually give 110%. Of the pros I've had about 70% performed really well, 20% were average and 10% were poor performers and obviously disliked their work and the kind of men they served. That's not bad odds for P4P. In fact, the 10% "poor performers" may be exaggerated... I can only recall 2 or 3 at all that were REALLY lousy... I tend to think some of the other poor performances were due to ME and my lousy attitude on a particular night, my drunkeness or whatever.

The amount spent doesnt make a difference on performance, but I tend to find that the middle price range performs best... ultra cheap and overly expensive usually feed markets which dont promote or reward well-performing girls... the super cheap to cheapskates and drunkards and the overly expensive to the uninformed, the stupid and the helpless business traveller who will fuck anything superficially attractive at any price.

As for general pricing, Russia might be more expensive than some other places, but doesnt have to be ridiculously so. If you can't afford $100 to get laid, then you'd be better off somewhere else.

If big shapely asses are your thing, then Russia really isnt ideal. You are right, youll get more Paris Hilton than J.Lo.

One notable exception are the tall girls, sometimes they have the most fantastic pillow-like asses which are neither flabby or bony… pure joy.

Generally speaking though, thin girls are more common and the legs are to die for. I have spent the last couple of nights at Magrib and have the following updated info to report.

The girls are now asking for a 500 ruble security fee. I got around it by meeting my girl outside the club. I asked a few girls and they told me they have to pay the security 500 rubles if they leave the club with a client.

I think it is based on real estate more than on quality of girls. The high end modeli runs 2500/hr and others 2000/hr and this one i went to 1500/hr. But the talent level of girls is comparable at all of them. They all have a bunch of stinkers, some average and a few hotties. Maybe the high end places have better average, but the top girls in the low end places are just as good as the top elsewhere. I think it must be based on location and quality of rooms more than girls. Never made it to fitness center.

For me slightly enhanced means that you can recognize them without any doubt but they are a little less beautiful than on photo, usually larger hips and smaller breasts. the girls on putana are basically the same as on the other SPB sites. The same photos, the same numbers. Its not really about the site. It comes down to whether the photos are accurate, or bait and switch. If the photos look like they were taken in a studio, they are probably fake. If they look like they are at the beach or outside they are probably fake. If the girl is in a run down looking apartment, they are probably real fotos.

Best combination for a good thing is a lousy photograph of a pretty girl.

I am back in July 2006, and my itinerary will include St Pb and Sochi/Rostov, but I also would like to hit Yaro, Perm and/or Tomsk if possible. My questions are thus:

1. Anyone going to be around during the month of July?
2. Anyone thinking of travelling to Russia during July and perhaps looking to cross paths or link up for part of the journey?

This can be an issue because Mamochka speaks often only russian. But they also often have a girl who speak some english and who can guide you.

If you already know the address (like Photomodeli salons), go there and call with mobile or telephone card. If nobody speaks english, try to learn those words :
"Zdrastvuite. Ya na ulitse ou salona. Pajalousta vstretite minia" : "Hello. I'm in the street in front of the salon, please meet me".

I hate Tribunal. I have always hated that place. I cant recall ever having a decent experience there. Sure the strippers are ok. The beer, although overpriced, is still beer. It is next door to Red Lion, a place that isn’t bad, especially as a starter to a long night. But Tribunal and Doc Skank just don’t mix. I really should have known better. In fact, I really DO know better…. But still…

I had hoped this time would be different. Last time I was there, together with Rovnak, I had met a quite homely (that is a nice way to say unattractive) MILFish central Asian looking chick with a lot of energy and an aggressive approach to the business.

Now everybody who has ever been to TRIBUNAL must know this chick, who goes by the name Maya and is fairly short and quite slender, and with an admittedly rock hard ass. She approaches this aspect with a refreshing openness and honesty, which I respect. She seemed professional in the good sense of the word, and that is just what I wanted on this evening. Having entered the club and taking a look around, I didn’t spot much talent there at all, but then again I have personally rarely seen anything really special there. Nonetheless I couldn’t be bothered to try any other place, since I had a 0930 business meeting and planned on calling it a fairly early night. I was on a snatch and grab mission. Get in, get the package and get out.

Maya made the first part of my mission easy, as she ran up to me like a heat-seeking missile and latched all over me. Within 5 minutes we had left the building, agreeing on $150 for a few hours.

Some my ask why I chose her, a question I in fact ask myself now, but I was sold on her advertising. · Men who stay in apartments are cheap sex tourists. “Real men” stay in Astoria and other expensive hotels and don’t ask about money, they just give her whatever she wants. She said she only liked rich and clever men. I think she didn’t think I was either. I think she likes rich dumb men. My apartment seemed cheap to her. Some of the lights didn’t work. I explained to her it wasn’t MY apartment but rather like a hotel. She didn’t seem to understand this and kept talking about the poor condition of MY apartment, as if it was somehow beneath her.
· She claimed to make 5000 euro a month at Tribunal. She asked me if that was a lot of money. I told her that in the US, anything above 6 figures is considered good money. 5000 euro was ok money, but not considered “good money”, whatever that means. She couldn’t comprehend what I was talking about. I doubt her figure anyway. Assuming she works EVERY night, that means 166 Euros a night. No fucking way. Unless of course her other theory is true, that Russian men sometimes pay her 1000 Euros a night or even 200 Euros just to talk to her.

Uh huh.

Then why the fake designer goods and the cheap watch babe? If she really does make 5k Euro a month, it is a further demonstration of everything that is wrong with Russia. They simply have no concept of what money is. She certainly didn’t deserve anything close to that.
· She hates men. I believe her. The classic used up pro. Been fucked too much. Fucked around. Fucked over. Her energetic smile in the club was all fake. I should have known better.

And on and on.

Finally I decided to get it over with and coaxed her into giving me a blowjob, with condom of course. I really didn’t mind that, because by now I really wasn’t sure I wanted my dick in her mouth at all. This went on for what seemed like hours… I kept telling her to put on her clothes and go, but she was determined to stay, clinging to me like some wild animal and putting her fake kisses all over my body and trying to coax me into fucking her . I am sure that her central motivation was to get more money out of me and not to satisfy me, but her behavior became so erratic that I really didn’t know what to think. I just wanted her out.

Some pros do make quite decent money, but that is still no excuse to make comments like “$150 is no money” and then symbolically blow the $150 into the wind, which is what Maya did. I realize that you don't "buy a girl" for any amount of money, you just buy their time... but I really hate it when they assume that what you have given them, whether $100, $150 or $300, is "nothing". It is a business deal and they should keep their end of the deal.

There is definitely some truth to that, although their relative poverty is hard to judge. Many Russian girls, pros or otherwise, simply aren’t that poor anymore. They certainly don’t all flock to foreigners, at least not any more. Being a foreigner in upper level Russian clubs is not an inherent advantage with many girls. They are interested in money, security, long-term relationships and fun. In most cases, a foreign tourist can offer them only two of those four factors... money and fun. And there are plenty of Russian guys who can give them that as well. It is getting harder and harder for average-incomed Westerners/foreigners to access really upper class women... especially if you are only in the country for a few days. If you spend a long time in the country or even live there, of course you can access a whole new level of girl. That's just natural. Money is something that plenty of Russian men have and as we all know, women follow money. In the 90’s it was perceived that foreigners were all rich and “a better catch” than Russians and for many Russian women, getting a foreign man was a way to escape poverty. These days I find even average-looking Russian girls having Russian men throw money at them. It is a fact of life in modern Russia, especially Moscow. Moscow money is now flowing into St.Pete and other cities, so I fear that this change of preference in selecting men is well underway there as well.

Doc I think you get the point when you wrote that you "buy her time" and not the girl.

Stayed in St Petersburg for a week – now ready to contribute a bit.

I have seen almost every girl that photomodeli has to offer. The photographer is a miracle worker. Subtract 2 points at least to get idea of girl in real life. Those salons are pimp managed. The girl gets only about 1/3 of the price. For example if you pay 2500 RBL, the girl will get 800 RBL. But I think the girls are free to leave and it's not such a bad deal compared to other options.

An escort agency would take 60% only for advertising and booking. In hotels, it's surely more than 60%, and so-called independant girls (bar / disco / internet) must also pay for "security". At least a salon is a secure place for the girl who is not alone with an unknown customer.

Those girls work harder and cheaper than the other sex workers but most of the ones that I met gave me good service. You can tip her if she has been good, she would get 100% of the tip. You really did pretty good for a first trip to Pitr, you were out in the clubs trying and that's where you should be.

One question, you mention getting STD/HIV testing done in St.Pete at a clinic. How long do they take to get results back? I get tested about twice a year in US or Europe, but usually have to wait about 10 days for all results to come back in. If the St.Pete clinic is significantly quicker, I'll just go there instead...We have different clinic. If you need quicker test ~ 80 euro and 1-2 hours(its is clinic work in weekend also).

Sorry guys. I don't know how to shrink videos and post them, I don't know how to edit myself out of them, and even if I did I imagine it would be a lot of work. Besides ... maybe I will want to sell them someday.

Here are some signals:

1) Does she ask for your picture? If not, then maybe you should ask why she is so interested in you but doesn't want to know what you look like;

2) Does she ask personal details about you, like your family and friends? If not, then maybe she is interested in something else other than yourself.

3) Last, but certainly not least, has she asked you for money? If she has, and if she has not shown any real interest in you, as stated in the first two questions, then you know what she has in mind, and it's not you.

After the last scene Lena came by to greet me and collect her commissions. On prices, why ask me cryptic questions? Why not just ask Lena? I'd be happy to post all the details about what everything cost, but Lena explained to me that this could cause problems for her and might not be in our interest either. By contrast, she was open with me about prices in one on one communications. I hope everyone isn't getting suspicious or discouraged because of the secrecy on prices. It's all straightforward and itemized when you talk to her one on one. I think she just doesn't want all her competitors and all her girls to see what every girl gets.

Remember to deduct from the cost all the money you will save on porn. It barely interests me anymore. When I see it now I think yeah, I did that, only it was better when I did it. The girls were better looking and there was more emotion. I don't understand why people hardly kiss in porn movies. We kissed almost nonstop, at least when the girls weren't kissing each other. And porn movies look so scripted; first position, ok second position, ... they look like they are finding their seats on an airplane. We changed positions all the time and it was fun and natural. My movies don't have high production standards, but other than that they kick the asses of most other porn movies. If you don't have too much to lose by doing so you possibly could release your movie and recoup your costs or more. Keep an eye on what your cameraman is doing. Now that I've watched my movies I really see that one cameraman was far better than the other. The good one had a very good sense of what was interesting. He also kept moving, changed angles frequently, and stayed close to the action. The other one stayed at a distance and used the zoom, which made it harder for him to aim the camera and focus. There are some really frustrating moments when something great is happening and the camera goes out of focus, the cameraman's aim was off, or sometimes he just had bad judgment, like doing long shots of guys' faces when the girl was giving a multiple blowjob, or picking bad angles where you don't see anything. The good one, on the other hand, frequently surprised me, coming up with good creative shots. I noticed when we were filming that he was often standing on a chair or table or getting down on the floor to get the angles he wanted. If you are really into it you could even splurge for a professional cameraman with equipment, which Lena can provide, but that won't be a trivial addition to the total cost.

I was surprised that in Western Europe, there were so many fat and unttractive people and minorities and smoke. Then I realized that it is anologous to the city versus the suburb in parts of the US. There is too much money floating around in Germany which raises the costs of living. That is why Prague can be cleaner because the costs is lower. Also, the culture is important too. As I traveled in Europe, certain Europeans remind me of Americans. For example, I am from a state which has a loarge German and trailer trash population. The Germans remind me of the white trash in the US. The Danish remind of the folks I met in Iowa and Minneapolis. The Czechs remind me of people I met in Chicago. I though finding a white girl in the US was hard. Try Germany which is very open to immigration. After a while, I started to understand the culture better.

These days I stay at the Renaiissance (just off St Isaac) and it is also GF - plus the elevators are before you get to reception so no walk of shame for the more sensitive among us.

One word of caution - avoid the Hotel St Petersburg. Its old, worn out Soviet style and is not GF. Room rates are good and some have great views but the place really sucks.
