To all who intend to go to West Africa.
Get the shots and take the drugs. You don't want to wake up, or never wake up some fine day in 37 Military Hospital. This assumes you can get to this hospital, said to be the best in the country.
Most of the diseases mentioned here are serious indeed. Perhaps some are unlikely to infect you but it is really very foolish not to take such elementary precautions. I spent more than 200 usd on shots and pills before departing, never got sick and don't regret a cent of the cost.
I recommend the Hepatitis B shot too, as this bug is transmitted sexually.

I agree with GC. Artemos is a must, and I am sorry I forgot to mention it. You can buy it over the counter at almost any pharmacy in Accra and its fairly cheap by Western standards.
Sting. Don't worry so much about travel guides. Get to Accra, and hang out for a couple of days with a few expats who have been there for a while. They will set you on the right path, as the scene changes from month to month. Also, don't sweat finding a woman. Your greatest challenge will be deciding which one to take, and not finding someone who appeals to you.

I caught Malaria the last time I was in Ghana. I didn't know I was bitten by mosquitos and it snuck up on me. I just started to become tired and my bones ached. I didn't realized I was sick until I bedridden with severe fever etc... After my usual travel companions did't work: Doxycclimne, Flagyl, Zithromax; I was taken to the hospital and stayed overnight with an IV for dehydration. The next morning, I was dignosed with Malaria with a 15 min finger prick blood test and was given Alaxin tablets. I was cured by the end of the day. Malaria is so common in Africa that pharmacies sell many medications that will prevent and cure malaria without prescription. Foreigners may feel sick from most of them. I recommend that you go to a pharmacy and get a box of Alaxin Tablets and take them while you're in Africa as a preventive measure.

For those who love internation cuisine in Accra...this lady was suitably punished by me for keeping me waiting for 30 minutes with a CIM and swallow!

What I did to her!
Never had a pizza in China or white meat in Ghana.
An advice is to always stay with the local!
She isn't nice Michael!

Apparantly they had a small fire last weekend but didn't seem like a big deal. I foresee a very merry christmas for the mongers in Ghana.
And a happy new year!
Anybody found any cheap hotel one could use for a couple of hours a night?

Quick question for the experienced guys. Where would you advise to go in Ghana for some quality non pro action? Have been searching in vain and would welcome any handy hints.
Happy xmas

The best answer is "everywhere." Go to upscale hotels and sit in the lobby. Go to the restaurants or just stroll on the streets. You can meet normal women all over the place, and all you need to do is smile a bit and start talking. As others have indicated, the lines dividing pros, semi-pros and normal are fine indeed and are shifting constantly.
Another good idea is to frequently some of the more upscale shops, and look for sales girls and/or customers that appeal to you. Aklternatively, you could cruise the University campus and meet more women in an hour than you would have thought possible.

I've spent several periods in Ghana, had no shots (except the mandatory Yellow Fever), took no pills, used no mosquito nets, screwed lots of ladies, used no condoms, visited many areas, ate and drank everything with never a problem but maybe I have a super-strong immune system!

Your "super strong" immune system has been lucky despite your imprudence. No immune system is going to protect you from Malaria, Cholera, Dengue Fever or HIV. Eventually, even in Russian Roulette, one day you're going to happen on a chamber that's loaded. It's the same thing in Ghana, and it only takes one time.
I hope your luck continues to be good, but there's nothing wrong with being careful at the same time.

Mr Cool,
If you can't find any non-pro action, you are not in Ghana. In fact, you are no where near the continent of Africa.

Hey Guys. This is Q in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I am an accountant very interested in finding a travel buddy going to Ghana in the next three months. If you would like a good friend who can also watch your back, hit me with a message. This will be my first trip to Ghana and I would like to hook up with someone who knows their way around.

GEGE, don't be so hard with OleJoe.
If I recognize OleJoe right from his earlier writings (I think there is a Ghana report in the archives of this site from the historic Atta times, http://www.*************.org/ghana_bits.txt.html ), then probably, he doesn't need to worry much about HIV, and using condoms :) . Considering his age (70+(?)), contracting AIDS won't shorten much his projected life expectancy, but going bareback will increase the enjoyment of what he has left to live, for sure. :):):)
If OleJoe is really the guy that wrote the report I mentioned, then I can only salute him of still being active monger at this age. Probably all of us will want to be that able, on becoming senior citizens.
But, of course, for us, the younger guys, using condoms is a good practice.
Hi,
I would like to go to Ghana in the following months. I plan to go to Accra. As I read on this section, every hotel is girl friendly until you behave decently in the lobby.
Does anybody knows about a nice hotel, not expensive (not more than 50 dollas a night) with a swimming pool in Accra (in a neighborhood, where there is some "action", so maybe downtown, preferably, if rather safe).
Is Accra a enjoyable city to walk around (I like to walk in a city and pick up amateur girls in the streets)? Is it near the beach?
My contributions are in the Morrocco and Cameroon sections. So you can see what I will bring as nice photos from my trip in Accra.
Thanks in advance
Be careful of a trip to Ghana given your wonderful pictures as immigration and the police can easily be informed of your activities. Ghana is full of ladies but be very careful. A word to the wise is enough as they say.

Accra is not a great walking city, and the action is fairly spread out around town. If I were you, I would not plan on using my feet as a primary mode of transport. Taxis abound all over the place, and fares are ridiculously cheap. Be sure however, to negotiate beforehand. Before I started to drive there, I also got into the habit, especially at night, of hiring a car and driver for a few hours. Just find a cabbie you like, or ask one of the people working at your hotel and you should have no problem.
Another alternative, after you'v'e been there for a couple of days is to rent a car. You can easily find an air conditioned vehicle for $15-$20 a day. True, you will get lost frequently, but you can find your way around after a short while.
I'm afraid I cannot help you much on the hotels. It's been a couple of years, and I can no longer remember the names, but you should have no problem finding a place for $30-$40 a night, with a pool.
Have fun and be safe.

I cant wait till you go to Ghana to check out your photos, I am sure they will be great! We have similar tastes in women !!!
I also live in Belgium and speak french. Could you tell me, what are these great internet dating sites you use to meet these african chicks, I know a couple, but they are better for latin america (ie amigos.com) ?

To Coupe66 (given you can not receive private emails, I don't know why).
The sites where you can find tons of hot Cameroonese girls are:
www.affection.org
www.meexup.com
I think you can put an ad in english (but I am not sure).

It's also quite simple to meet French-speaking girls in Ghana. I too speak French and there are not so many French speakers in Accra, so you will find, when you meet a group of Francophone women there, you more or less have the field to yourself. There are several clubs where the French-speakers congregate, and these change from month to month, but they're easy to find by asking any taxi driver.
I met lots of women from Cote d'Ivoire, Tchad, Cameroun, and Benin while I was there, and had a French-speaking girlfriend for a time. Most of the girls I met were students who had been sent by their parents to Accra to learn English. Some however, were refugees fleeing one or another conflict-affected country.

You're looking for hotel in accra with pool at USD 40-USD 50 per day. Forget it, there isn't any, even budget for USD 70-80, depending on location, may even be higher.
Hotels in Accra are a complete ripp off! compared to Hotels in Thailand and even East Africa I've heard of one budget Hotel. Called ChrisitianBorg in the lively Osu area, sorry don't remember the number and in some hotels such as in the Adabraka area they want $16.00 to $30.00 per day for air conditioning with no shower. Just a knackered bath! a warning guys about the face-pic dating site be very "CAREFRUL" allot of the pics that have Ghanaian girls with their tits hanging out are not what they seem. Allot of them are just a scam to get money out of you for nothing in return but bollocks promises, some of the pics are even just Ghanaian or Nigerian blokes. Pretending to be women and using African American porn star pics. So that you hand over your hard earned cash western union preferably for no pussy, never, never send cash to these girls online. I have even seen the same pic in up to three different adverts usually a pretty black women with her legs spread wide, showing you the goodies in order to procure your funds via money transfer. You've been warned.
You can use the pools of most of the major hotels for a fee. It was about 5 USD per day, per person, as I recall. Towels and changing room provided. You can order drinks & food as needed.
I recomend the La Palm as you get nice shade from the trees around the pool. The pool has no real deep end so it's safe for your guest who, like many Ghanan ladies, may not know how to swim.
Enjoy!
Thanks member 2089 and goodenough for your feedback.
Does anybody know any good websites for meeting girls from Ghana ???
Member 2089,
Although I am hesitant to ask you anything about Morocco, is Meexup a good website for that country, it seems to be, many nice looking ladies from there. Or are there any other, better websites for Morocco?

Believe me, you do not need a web site, you do not need any introductions, and you will not even need luck. Your biggest challenge will be deciding which one(s) to take. You could even do what I did once, and pick up a Ghanaian chick on the airplane prior to arrival. That way, I had my first night taken care of before I cleared customs!
Sub-Saharan Africa is simply not like other places and you will realize this the moment you arrive there. Do not worry about it. Just go to any of the places suggested herein. There's no chance involved.

Before I went to Africa for the 1st time, not knowing what to expect, I contacted several ladies before my arrival. I reasoned it would be nice to have an interesting tour guide of sort. Most of the ladies are full-blown liars on these sites but, some, are extremely serious and expect, or at least hope beyond hope, that you will be too. I did not realize once I got to Ghana that its as easy as it actually is to meet the best looking woman you can ever hope to see and just take her. The hardest part (next to getting her to be not too extremely late) is getting rid of her. I can understand how that anyone who has never been to Africa can possibly understand this without the experience.
When in Ghana for the 1st time, I recommend avoiding Accra and going straight to the bus station and to Takradi to the Africa Beach Hotel area. Someone else reading this who's been there can elaborate more and confirm my advice to you.
Thanks again guys for all your feedback.
Before the cops clamped down on the scene here in Belgium, I have had some fantastic ghanain ladies, pretty, freindly and with fantastic bodies. Also had some great ones in the Costa del Sol in Spain. However, are these ones the cream of the crop, or do you see many women like this walking around the cities and towns of Ghana ??? There must be some ugly ones as well !!!
I would say the average african lady I see here in Belgium is far more attractive than the average Belgian, but maybe these are just the good looking ones who get to leave with there rich boyfriends / husbands ??? Also, they tend to be far curvier than the average northern european lady, which is how I like them. What would you say is the percentage of curvy girls in Ghana (ie big tits, long legs, tall, serious asses !!!, or at least with some of these criteria !!!) I have had many like that in Belgium and Spain, just the way I like them !!!
What are the chances of picking up a good looking very curvy girl there, do all the guys there go for the curvy ladies or do they prefer the slimmer ones ?? Help, I think I am getting too excited !!!
Also, I find some African ladies to be very passive, ie they will do what you want them to but without much enthusiasm, is this the case in Ghana as well or do you think this is more with the experienced african hookers in Europe ??
Appreciate anyones advice / feedback,
Cheers,
Coupe 66
I'm not sure how the African girls in the European cities get there. Are they all girlfriends of someone who brought them there, are they students, or are they with working visas? In Africa, there are many babes and many absolute dogs. All shapes and sizes. Your question is pretty vague. Maybe you should grab one of these hot babes and ask her if she has a friend. There's a good chance she will.

I am also on face-pic and to the one, all the Ghanaian (so called) woman have tried to scam me. I some times play with them but other times I just tell them to get lost. However, your warnings are going to fall of deaf ears.
The last person who tried to scam from there, wasn't very good. I asked for a picture of the *girl* and she sent me 3 of them to my eyes they looked like different women but, what the heck, it could have been a bad photo. I then playing with her asked for a nude pic. She helm and hawed until they finally sent one. Imagine my laughter when the pic she sent was of a white girl pussy, she was dark black form her pics. Also the pic had a logo on it of a porn site. I laughed so hard I almost busted a gut.
I mention the fact of the rapid color change and she swore me up and down that is was her. I stuck to my guns and she then said it was a picture of her sister. Huh?
I asked her, if you have a white sister who works for a porn company. (Oh yeah, did I mention she wanted me to send money to help her come to me so she could screw my brains out) why didn't she ask her sister who is a porn star for the money to come to me and I would repay it when she gets here.
It didn't get through to this person brain that I was not, no way in hell, sending any money to anyone over the interent. This was all in the first conversation, i must add.
Of course they aren't the only one who do this sort of thing.I have had philippine women, Thailand women and women from spanish countries do they same thing.
If their are men who fall for this then they deserve it. I don't blame the women. I blame the men for being so dumb. Just my opinion of course.

I would avoid Nigeria at all costs, due largely to reasons of fear for personal safety. Lagos is simply not safe anymore, particularly for foreigners, and we're easy prey for some of the more clever types of criminals and scam artists who fairly abound there. That said, the choice between Ghana and Cameroun is tough, and depends alot on what you want. Accra is more developed, transportation is easier and there are more girls from all over West Africa than you will find in Douala. In fact, there are hundreds of middle class families from Francophone Africa who send their kids to school in Accra to learn English.
On the other hand, the Francophone African chicks are, in my opinion, classier and more sophisticated than the girls from Anglophone countries. It's very helpful, if you're going to Cameroun to speak French, though as far as chasing pussy, it's not essential.
If I was going, for the first time, to one of these places, I think I would choose Ghana, for the reasons stated above. On the other hand, I speak French and I have met some really delightful women from Cameroun.

It is true there are alot more girls coming into Ghana from all over west africa. I met this fine fine looking honey at Jokers. As most mongers who have frequented Jokers will know, most chicks hanging out alone there are usually of the working variety. I unfortunately made the mistake of assuming she was one and when I made my intentions clear got bounced true and proper. I think if I played my cards right and smooth talked her I woulda got some action but it would have required a night or two of sweet talking. If you guys are up for that then you will have a nice selection here to work with. Whether it be paying straight up or working a bit for it you will find alot. Especially if you are a foreigner. Please don't pay over the top though. I think a decent amount to pay is still around 150,000 to 180,000 cedis. Hell even that might be a bit high on some occasions.

I think it's a good choice. If money is not a problem, then personally I would stay at La Palm out on the coastal road. It's only a ten minute ride or so from Jokers, and its pleasant to be on the beach. The beach of course is no great shakes, and you will not hang out there, but it's nice to look at. If you want a more moderately priced, but still nice hotel with a pool, you might try the Shangri La in the airport area. This is a private hotel and not part of the five star chain.
As to hunting, you can do it anywhere. I have picked up women in the lounges of five star hotels, in the clubs, in restaurants, parking lots, stores and everywhere but the street. It's so easy that believe me, you will figure it all out in a couple of hours. Smile. Be charming, Invite them for a drink. Don't treat any of them like hookers, and you will be home free. the biggest club in Accra is, or at least was, Macumba when I was there. It's teeming with women, but most of them are pros. I always favored Jokers and Aquarius more, but there's alot of carry over from place to place.
Relax and enjioy yourself. Accra is a great city and you should have an excellent time.

GEI am very greatful for all the advise I have got, without even asking for it. The 25. of March I will be off to Africa again, first as always a few days to Addis Abeba which i do consider as "some sort of my second home".
Then, depending on how soon i can part from Addis i will fly to Nairobi, just 2 days and after that to Accra for around 3 weeks. I am a little nervous, because I do not know anything about the place, except what i read here or in guidebooks. I just feel I have to go to some other places as Ethiopia all the time.
I do hope I will find a decent priced hotel 30 Dollar the most. (In Addis I stay for 10 Dollars) Well, I will write a few things after the trip, bought even for the first time a digital-camera. So if someone has advises, I still have 10 days left before I go.

How can someone who has never been to Ghana come up with the firm conclusion that "they are a team of liars." Funny, I lived in and around Accra for two years, and I never came to that judgment. I found the people, in general, to be warm, gracious, and extremely welcoming to strangers. As has been my experience in other places around the world, I discovered that if you treat women with a modicum of respect, accord them some dignity and respond to them as people, the question of money largely disappears.
Be careful of tarnishing the reputation and character of an entire country because of some virtual reality experiences with a few women.

I wasn't saying that a little extra cushion was bad, I am not a surfer or carpenter, but I also prefer women that weighs less than me and still resembles a woman (curves). Thats all. IMHO. So please don't take it to heart. I was just expecting something more like this.
There are lots and lots of pretty girls, with great bodies in Ghana! Looking frorward to see yours!
The pics from Folla N must be a practical joke, cause no one could have such a bad taste!
Going to Ghana sone and check with embassy about visa they said I need maylaira shot do you think I should get to be safe.
Pat,
No shots needed for Malaria, this is only to be treated with pills.
Ask for MALARONE (gsk) from your doctor.
No side effects, no feeling sick, just one a day !
Have fun,

There are no shots for malaria. Take the medicine as recommended. You do need typhoid, yellow fever, cholera and hepatitis however, Also, topping up your polio vaccine doesn't hurt either.

Which medication is without sideeffect you can never tell before you try them.
If you use a conservative aproach you should start with you medication 1 week before you go. If you do that you will notice the side effects before you leave home and will be able to change medicine.
That is of course if it is the first time you take the drug.
In africa I have used Malarone and Lariam and I definitely prefer Lariam. As you need to take it 3 weeks after you leave the malaria infected area you had to eat it a lot.
If you live in Africa for a couple of years you will naturally not take any profylactic as everyone is quite hard for your body if you use them for a long time.
I have been in contact with 20+ women in Ghana and every one is beautiful. They all say what I want to hear about secxand bbbj. Thet all want to marry and agree to anything to get you.Have talked to another 20+who just want you to send money or gift.

(Dude, show some respect to these girls, did they give you their permission to paste their photos all over a sex travel website? I wouldn't imagine so and they will be mightily pissed off when they find out. Which they will and the consequences for us mongers will be negative in the long run if many more people like you abuse their trust. Man you ain't even been there)

This is a responce to my previous post and photo's
Sent as private msg. This member can't read very well
I wrote that all these women have there photo's on the web for anyone to see and all of them are asking for money, gifts or visa help in return for sex, love, or marriage! If that is not what this forum is about I'm mistaken and want to ask you all to forgive me for posting these innocent girl photo's. I'm so ashamed of myself LOL

I have a couple of suggestions you may want to try, but I haven't lived in Accra for about 3 years, and things may have changed:
1. Check out a bargain airfare from DC to Ethiopia via Ethiopian Airlines, then grab a cheap fare on the same airline from Addis to Accra. This will add a day or so to your travel time, but it should be cheap.
2. Ghana airlines actually used to have a flight a couple of times a week from New York or DC to Accra.
3. Grab some bargain basement fare to London or Frankfurt and fly direct from there on either BA or Lufthansa.
GE
Does anyone know how to contact Ghana National Airline. All I could find on the net about it was news stories and a letter to the editor that said $900 round trip from Baltimore and it was 11 hour direct flight but late departures common.
Even travel agent claims he couldn't find out about it. Have appointment for yellow fever shot. So close to leaving.

Try Ahenfo Air at http://www.ahenfoair.com/index.shtml - this is a new airline that has set up service from Accra to New Jersey to Toronto.
The old Ghana Airways has gone bankrupt and has folded. A new national airline is being set up but flights have not started yet.

it was reported on ghanaweb.com that the flight permissions of this charter line were withdrawn and the ceo's passport confirep001ed. the article hinted that a effort was underway to suppress competition in advance of the launch of ghana international airlines (gia).
the best choice for a flight may still be through a ticket broker, on a major airline, even though the price cannot be described as cheap.
Afrointroductions.com is dating site join for free and you can search. Gilrs from all parts of Africa will try and contact you and if you have a Yahoo e-mail they will chat with you and send sexy photo's . I really want to go but price is crazy and over 25 hours from me, Would be easier if I lived on east coast but stll bad. Average income there is $298 year and these girls will do anything to get Visa or support to improve there life.
Came home from Ghana 2 weeks ago, great time despite the heat and high humidity. Still, you canīt display pictures of girls you only met on the internet, that soooo low. Donīt talk about airlinetickets and prices and how it would be and what the girls will do to you. Go there and see it by yourself. I have so many original pictures, but I respecdt all the girls i met, even the worst hookers. And they are the best, when its bedtime. But they are people and I treat them as such, do the sme, please.

Looks like someone fell in love while in Ghana...Good for you, but this is a site about finding women that will play for pay! Get married and stay away from the mongering lifestyle. American (Western) men are already too pussified and don't you think that the moment you got on the fuckin' plane, she did not call her Ghanaian boyfirend and they drank and fucked off the money you gave her while she cried for you not to leave. LOL !! Trust me! I know. Been there and done that! Save your feelings and save your sanity! This is for wherever you go in the world!
Trust Me
Jeez Reno,
You clever devil you. You seem astounded by your discovery that destitute third world women will have sex with strangers for not much money, or that you can promise to marry them and they will do online tricks for you. How much fun that must be for you creating an oh so slick online persona that no teenage ghanaian girl can penetrate. Fun fun fun. Such a breakthrough you have made!! Coupling that with your discovery that women can send pics to you over the internet has sent you into a tizzy that is embarassing to see. And, brace yourself, it is expensive to fly to Africa!! You need to lay down and rest up from all the knowledge you are acquiring.
Some people keep their mouth shut lest they appear stupid, some people open them and remove all doubt.

the article you refer to above is afra air and not ahenfo air - 2 separate companies - but you're right, it does look like a case of gia not liking the competition and resorting to underhanded tactics.

I checked out this charter line and was quoted a RT from Newark at 1,350 USD. Not too much help to someone on the west coast. The ticket site will not quote a price until you have submitted a booking but you are still one step from paying. Not a friendly design and I wonder if they will bug me to pay up? Good luck to them!

Anyone fly any of these two airlines? I called Newark airport and they told me that the airlines does not exist. In addition, the guy at Akwaaba Airlines said he was new? Any scomments or suggestions.
Thanks
Both "airlines" are really charter services. The aircraft meet US standards and are rented by the flight. The history of these type of arrangements is more problematic than a typical international airline like KLM or British but thousands of people use them every year with no problems.
Without deep pockets, the charter companies can go under without warning. Flying into Ghana has a political and graft dimension that I can't really comment on, but must be significant. The Ghanians need the major airlines and that gives the majors some protection from outrageous demands.
Can anyone comment on fair taxi rates, dropping type, to some obvious destinations in Accra since the fuel price increases? Oxford street to Circle, La beach or the University for example. Any idea of the fair rate by the hour after these increases?
Haggling with these guys was my second preoccupation during my stay. Some are true land sharks.

Hi Guys
It's been a while since my last posts and I more or less have been an observer of my favorite places to monger. Ghana is definitely one!
I live in Florida and have flown Africa 4 times.
Ethiopian Airlines twice, KLM once and THE WORST was Ghana Airways when it was in service.
Ethiopian has above average service and great looking flight attendents (which I sampled!) The downside is you fly to Addis Abbaba first then to Accra which is way out of the way. price is about 1325. or so depending, sometimes 1500.My best was 1235.
KLM has good service as well. Expensive though, about 2200.
I guess I'm saying to Pat Reno, there is no cheap way to get to Ghana.
That's why the women are willing and basically free!
Afrointroductions is very real and ALL of the girls ask for cellphones, money and whatever else they can get. (read my previous posts).
Please post information here that is sex or travel specific and not photos of women you wish you could have IF you could get there. Thanks!
For those contemplating going to Ghana, I paid this week about 1,280 usd inclusive of tax and fees for a November BA flight from west coast of the US. I do not claim this as the cheapest possible fare but it seems good to me.
Has anyone rented at the Crown Court Apartments? Anyone in Ghana willing to check if it is legitimate? It's located right off the ring road, between the Palmona and OSU and I will provide directions by PM to any noble soul willing to eyeball it.
Crown Apartments is indeed real, I have stayed there many times. It has a spanish theme and a restaurant, although breakfast is nothing to write home about. They are girl friendly and discreete. Prices are a bit high, but they will do you a deal if you persist. Hope this helps
Sorry Riskman 4,
I think you are writing about the very hi-end Crown Apartmento, not the Crown Court. Anyone with serous money to spend on apartment accommodations would want to consider it. Has a pool, restaurant and well furnished units but I think the rate runs over 100 usd a day.
The place I am looking at is more middle market. About 57 per day, 400 a week.
OK Dogs Body, PM me and I will check it out.

Just come back from Accra, it was my first time in Africa.
Unbelivable girls with a superb attititude..I've been almost everywhere (South America,Caribbean,East Europe,Asia),and I never find such a high percentual of nice bodies as I find here in Ghana ! It seems they all do sport every day (but they don't). Unbelivable asses !!!
I based in Osu at Liberty Hotel (35 US $ x day).Very easy to get 'regular/non pro girls' going around .
This is Elise , 24 years old , she was walking with her friend near Osu area.
Enjoy the pics.

I thought it was a freesite.....It's not. You can join for free BUT intereact with any girls. If you want to send a message / email to any girls you need to register yourself (wich means PAY :(
Another charter service startup was announced by North American Airlines. One RT flight a week departing from JFK, New York on Friday, direct to Accra. Return flight on Sunday. A online quote for a ticket was a bit over 1,500 usd.
A bit on the high side I would think. Perhaps cheaper seats will surface later.

Hello everybody,
I just returned from accra and I wanted to thank for all previous posts about hunting in Ghana. I Have never seen so many cuties in one town before. But the best they are all avaliable. In the beginning I tried the semi-proffesionals from the metioned hotspots like Macumba, Waikiki or Jokers Nightclub. The most are beautifull and you can have them for about20$ a night.
All in all I stayed over six months so I had some "real girlfriends", these girls are for free, as long as you provide drinks, small gifts like phonecards or "small money gifts". They would do everything for you and treat you like a king, especially if there is the hope that you marry them or help them to get out of the country. I donīt like playing with the hope of these girls, so I always made clear that there will never ever be marriage or long relationship, but there are a lot of guys who donīt really care about that. anyway if anybody has questions, send me a pm.
Which of this 2 countries has the cuter females. Secondly which of the two is safer for tourist for mongering and lesser in HIV.

Just posted this to the Cameroon board:
Gentlemen,
Tell me what the difference is in the girl that wants to fuck you for money right away versus the girl that will be your "girlfriend" for as long as you buy her sunglasses, food, drinks, bathing suits, Western style jeans and shirts, and you can fill in the blank_______!?
Many who monger forget the golden rule or reality: How in the hell is a woman gonna meet you in one night (i.e. your new African girlfriend) and be madly in love with you. Yes, you do have a sparkling personality, however, the thought of leaving their $1 per day minimum wage existence to come to America or Europe is ALWAYS in the back of their mind!
By the way the answer to the question above is, time! Remember: Time is money and money is time, unless, oh yeah, you are in love .
Which of this 2 countries has the cuter females. Secondly which of the two is safer for tourist for mongering and lesser in HIV.
Tercar 66,
Since we all have different tastes, what I consider cute might be ugly to another person. However, I will tell you that women from Ethiopia TEND to be skinny compared to women from Ghana.
Both countries are pretty safe for mongering but you should not let your guard down in this our hobby no matter how safe it is in any country. Regarding HIV, just place it safe and do not depend on any statistics on both countries. A lot of countries under report the number of cases of HIV, and some do not have the resources to do the testing anyways.
Have fun but be safe.

To keep things active on this part of board and to pass the time waiting for my flight to Ghana (where I hope to amaze you with a detailed report on the town of Ho) perhaps I might suggest some topics for discussion. So here is the first one.
Macumba, Champs Sports Bar, Jokers and Chester's Place have all sorts of posts. How about the lesser known places? What have the members to report about these other venues. How in the heck did you find them in Accra's signless, map-less, address-less wasteland? Live music? Ladies?
Examples;
Byewell in Osu.
Jump Sports reported as "near Nkrumah Circle"
Bassline Jazz Club
GBC Club
Ups or Ops or both
Tiptoe Cafe reported as a place to watch the sun come up after a hard night.
Fusions
Afrikiko
The Office
Waikiki (rumored to be closed down?)
Next Door
Any new venue or old one not mentioned here you think of interest to the board.

My experience in Ops, where I was a couple of times, and Next Door, is that they're much like the larger places only smokier and more crowded. Ops used to be the Thursday night gathering place for the Francophone African students studying in Ghana and was a great place to meet French speaking women.

I was recently in Accra and stayed in a couple of hotels, would like to share some info.
Labadi Beach Hotel
This is a nice hotel a short taxi ride into town. I stayed here for a weekend taking advantage of their special weekend rate, $100 per night bed and breakfast for a double, which is a bargain compared to rates charged by the other top end hotels. The rooms are very comfortable, nice pool and gardens and just adjacent to the city's main beach. La Palm Resort is next door which is much bigger and pricier. I recommend eating at one of the restaurants on the beach there, had a fantastic fish dinner, red snapper and rice, excellent, washed down with a Star beer for hardly any cost.Taking a walk on the beach on a saturday afternoon and there are plenty of locals out enjoying themselves. Young guys will approach you trying to sell you anything they can from local jewellery (pretty good), paintings to grass. Got chatting to a guy called John and he introduced me to a young lady friend of his name of Cynthia, man my eyes nearly popped out, wearing jeans and a tight t shirt, she was 18, medium height, slim, braided hair but what caught my eye was her oversized chest! Anyway to cut a long story short, I took her back to the hotel, showered together, and went a couple of rounds. She was definitely very new to all this, not so adventurous in bed but full of enthusiasm and man what a lovely tight body with those outstanding breasts and lovely coffee coloured skin, absolutely stunning. Later I gave her I think 130,000 cedis though she didnt ask for anything. Saw her once more during my stay in Accra too, when I moved to the Shangri-La Hotel she was so keen to see me again, will report on that later.
Shangri-La Hotel
This is a medium range hotel located near the airport, no relation to the international Shangri-La group of hotels. I took a chalet at a cost of $105 per night including breakfast, very comfortable place with big swimming pool and tennis court. I originally had a reservation at the Dutchotel which is located on the Accra - Tema road, looks nice on the website but is a real hike out of Accra and very isolated, I took one look at the room and decided to turn around straight away and head foer the Shangri-La, a decision I did not regret.
I had made contact with a few non pro girls over the net previously so decided to call a them up over the next days and they were only too happy to come and see me, and make sure I enjoyed my stay in Ghana, so much so I really didn't have to venture out too often. However variety is the spice of life and I got friendly with the tennis coach, Dennis who is a great guide to having fun in Accra as long as I bought the drinks.
I made one error one night. Having spent the afternoon in the company of a delightful young thing called Elsie, from Tema, I was chilling at the bar with Dennis. There seemed to be a couple of girls at the bar looking for trade most nights, not aggresively though and this one girl joined us, my radar was up but I was really not interested, anyway she and Dennis started chatting in some local dialect and I later found out she was telling Dennis to move on so she could trap me, against my better judgement I took her back, as I insisted, just for a massage. Within minutes she was down to her undies, fair enough, massage was poor as she made a beeline for what was in my boxers...what the hell I thought, so we got down to it, very mechanical and no enthusiasm, I gave up as I was pretyty spent anyway and told her to leave. That was when the fun started! I offered her 200,000 cedis, more than I'd "gifted" anyone else as I knew she was a pro but she started asking for 500,000, shouting and screaming! well I wasn't putting up with this nonsense. I called security and , obviously known to them, they slung her out. Amazingly, she was back in the bar 2 nights later. I had to laugh.
This was my first visit to Ghana, I have been in Africa many times before but not really had the opportunity to indulge in the hobby. The Ghanaians are really friendly and great looking people on the whole though Accra has few attractions for the non hobbyist. I am planning on returning later in the year for a longer visit, when the weather is better (it was the rainy season and boy can it rain) and intend to explore further inland off the beaten track...I shall report as and when.

English is the way to go as a rule. French is usefull for those into the delectable Morrocan dishes.
Tates:
Local: cedi 150, 000 or thereabouts < usd 20 / all nite long.
* international cuisine: usd 50 - usd100 depends st. usd 100 - usd 150 overnite. available stocks: moroccan, prc, ex-cis
* I have quoted international cuisine because some mongerers here are into "variety".
The above are Accra rates. The other hot spot is Tema. Being a port/industrial city: rate are marginally lower.
Even then, there are good odds, I'd say 40% chance of freebies.
Where do you find them? Anywhere and everywhere. Being white (obroni) or foreigner or having loads of cash and a flashy car is a sure fire ticket to some pussy. No need to go out of hotel.
Best place: those university chicks from Legon. Hunt them at on the run outlet at Legon Rd on Fridays for some weekend fun. Or, if you have a car, pick them out in the university itself as they walk around. Its that easy. LOL
All in all, remember. supply outstrip demand. Its a buyers market!
Any expats here in ghana intested in pack hunting. Buzz me.

I remember the Shangri La well, and in fact stayed there for three months in one of the little bungalows. I really liked the place, but was surprised at the prices quoted here. Granted, I have not been been there for four years, but I had a deal for $1,200 per month with breakfast included. I wonder if the same kind of bargain is still available with enough persistence.
Aquarius is the only place I ever picked up a white lady in Accra, when I did one of the Russian ladies that frequent the place. It was an excellent night as I recall, but I did not go back for more. There's just something about the local lasses that's too hard to resist. I always found the Moroccan places a total rip off and, though I was inside the clubs several times, was never tempted to take out one of the ladies. The proposed cost was ridiculous and the quality was not nearly high enough to justify the asking price.

I don't think there is such a thing as a freebie in Ghana - even with GF's, you'd still have to give money each time you see her (for transport, Spacefone units, etc...)
I have yet to meet someone who will be your GF without having to shell out any Cedis.

GB,
Point taken.
My definition of a freebie as oppose to outright prosties, i.e. the absence of an INITIAL negotiations on the amount to be paid in exchange or sex. Prosties will quote rates from 300,000 cedis to 500,000 cedis, or even in USD rates..if they think they can get away with it. Both of you then negotiate and probably settle for something less.
As for freebie, these are girls you pick up, literary off the streets. Take them out for dinner, go clubbing, drinking. Then head back for a bonk, no mention of money to transact. You may or even may not "pay" afterwars by giving her taxi fare, handphone credit, but most of us do, because after all the swallowing she did. Any punter worth his salt will invariable give something back, even if not asked, what is 100,000 cedis to us, but a mere USD 10! Later you exchange numbers, and include her in your list of "fuck-on-call". LOL

For that kind of money now..you can now rent a nice bungalow..1st world standards in Regimanuel Estate..off Spintex Road - gated community, security and stuff. I am renting my single storey bungalow - 3 rooms and 3 toilets..at USD 1000 pm. A double storey bungalow goes for USD 1200-USD 1500.
Obviously, the rates for places like Labone, Cantonment, Airport are much more.

Aquarius has gone downhill since the previous owners left. But there's a new club in town: TANTRA. A first world type of club located in Osu, same compound as that of the Chinese restaurent, Sisters of the East. AWESOME, nuff said!
Strictly obroni stuff, opposite of Macumbah. (to be honest most local expats stay away from the place due to its unsavoury reputation as a sleezy pick up joint). Wanna pick up some one. Do it in style, LOL. Come only after midnite, the place a blast.

Into Moroccan?...check out New Casablanca...turn left at Papaye , Osu..head down, and turn first left and first left again....very discreet and oh-so-private "club"..only for Morrocans/Indians....customers base..Lebanese/Indians...no locals. Belly dancing after midnite.
Rates: bar fine, champaign bottle at 700,000 cedis. Girl: USD 100-USD 200.
Fantastic Euro/Arab stuff, lol

Christ P,
The prices are correct. In fact arounf cantonment, East Airport. It would be USD2,000 for bungalows. It never ceases to amaze me the high prices for accommodation quoted on the African boards based on the low monthly income of it's population.
I find this is the same in many 3rd world countries but I cannot understand why as apartments and hotels are relatively are inexpensive to purchase compared to the western world and the labour to run them is cheap.
Cuba is also the same way, their average monthly salary is USD$5 p/m and it can cost USD$70 to $200 per day to stay in an average quality apartment or hotel. Makes no sense.
The Philippines is the opposite in that there monthly salary is around USD120 p/m but the accommodations are USD$15 to $40 per day. I am afraid I will just have to throw my arms up and say, "I will just never work this out!"
If I were to come over to stay for one or two months, what would you recommend be the best value for the money? I can afford $2,000 per month but it just doesnt seem right in a 3rd world county to pay that much. May be contacting the real estate agents directly form here and try to set up a long term rental at a better rate?
In some countries I found it cheaper to pay for a 3 months rent of an apartment and leave after 1 month than it was to rent short time apartment for just 1 month.
Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Blastoff,
The price I quoted war for a "1st world" grade accommodation. "Local" grade premise are naturally cheaper but I would not recommend. The problems you would encounter are, water cuts (5-6 days are normal), daily power cuts, horrendous road (pot holes the size of bomb cratters), 10 year old air-conditioner (if you are lucky), all these in addition to lowly 3rd workd country quality of build (Philipine accomondation are light years ahead).
Ghana is still a HIPC designated (Highly Indebted Poverty Country). Very little resources available to build 1st world premises. Just look at the government office or even the Osu castle - seat of government. So good quality accomodation are few...demand outstrip supply.
Also, almost in all cases, most type of rented accommodation require 2 years (yes!!) upfront payment.
To answer your question, if you are here only for 3 months, stay at one of the newer second tier hotels...good bets are Cresta Royalle, M-Plaza, Nagohill Hotel. Of even some of smaller bungalow style hotels in up-market East Legon, like Mensvic Hotel,..and a few others in the same vicinity. They cost about USD 50-USD 70 a day. Off course you can bargain. Forget about the hotels your hear around Osu..e.g Penta, Byblos, they are a rip off.
Finally, I always tell this to my friends coming to Ghana/Africa...bring "enough" money, because money gets you comfort, security and piece of mind after the daily madness call Africa that USD 500 leather chair from Italy, watching Dallas / Knightrider on satelite TV which you pay USD 70 per month and eating Papaye fried chicken which cost USD 4 with your USD 2 beer doesn't seems expensive anymore. LOL
Thank gawd for the women. LOL

Can you use credit cards easily to withdraw money from ATM machines or is this a problem as you mentioned to bring plenty of money. LOL.
Your suggestion that demand out strips supply of good quality accomidation makes me think in business terms as it is easy to renovate properties in 3rd world countries as I have done in other places and made a small profit. What do you think?
Is it worth hiring a full time driver to get around and if so how much per day can I expect to pay or are taxis quite O.K. and well priced?

Blastoff,
Answer to your uestion:
Credit Card: USELESS. Only usefull at the top hotels e.g. Golden Tulip, La Palm, Novotel. Apart from that useless, outside Accra..forget it. There are few ATMs where you "might" use them. Electricity power permiting. Also, fraud-risk is high.
This kind of environment, yup, there's ample opportunity to make money. High margin, but collection is a serious problem. In most work like repairs, renovations, etc. payment upfront is normal. For us who have to pay, there's no guarantee that delivery will be any better either. Go in with your eyes wide open.
Hire a taxi with the driver on full time (cheap and at the same time you gain a guide). You can choose from the entire spectrum of hired vehicle.

For short term rentals such as a couple of weeks to couple of months, there are several reasonable places depending on your budget:
$600/month or $200/week - a furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath in Dzorwulu
$1200/month - Hisbiscus hotel in Abelemkpe for a 2 bedroom apartment
I am renting a 4 bedroom house 2 bath with 2 bedroom fully self contained servant's quarters for $575/month - paid 6 months up front and quarterly thereafter in Dzorwulu so reasonable rents are available - just have to be patient and look !
As for transportation, car rentals here is ridiculously expensive ($65/day or more) and most places that will rent you a car will demand that you rent their driver as well. What I did when I first came here is rent a car for $100/week from someone I knew. Private car rentals are by far a cheaper way to go. The problem with taxis here is you have to negotiate all the time and unless you know what the going rate is from point A to point B, you'll pay too much. If you're staying for a couple of months, it's almost worthwhile to buy a cheap car when you get here and sell it before you leave (which is what a German friend of mine used to do).
As for cash, you can always use a Visa card to get cash advance at the Barclays's Bank in Accra Central.
As for girls, pretty much EVERYONE who is not married (even some married ones) is available to an Obroni (non-black person) - however, I stand by my previous comment that there is no such thing as a freebie here in Ghana. The minimum you have to giveup is "transport" money of at least 100,000 Cedis but as MichaelTheOne says :
"what is 100,000 cedis to us, but a mere USD 10! Later you exchange numbers, and include her in your list of "fuck-on-call".
All in all, Ghana is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live here - hey wait a minute - I do live here ! Thank God I'm going back to China in a few weeks for a holiday !
GC
Thanks very much you have been extemly helpful.
I was getting the impression that I had to be paying USD$100 to $200 per day to stay there and that is a bit crazy unless you have to do business there or are just over loaded with money. LOL.
Thanks again.

Hey there,
My "Accra or Dublin" post had a double-meaning; first of all surprise at the price, but also at the term "double-storey bungalow" - after all, the definition of a "bungalow" is that it only has one storey, right, hence the Irish connotation :-)
Anyway, shocking "humour" aside, yes, Blastoff is right about the vast expat/local price disparity. Most "first-world" style hotels are $100+, but if you stay in a "guest house", you'll probably pay about $5-10. They actually aren't too bad - I stayed at one right next to the Trust Tower for a couple of nights, and it seemed perfectly safe, and basic but not dirty (they had a daily cleaner). There were a couple of other obroni who stayed here while I was there. I brought back a different chick each night and that was no problem with the owners. The first girl was fine, but the second was a snotty ***** who turned her nose up and seemed to think I should be staying at the Accra Ritz. She was also a psycho who was scared of the dark and nicked Ģ80 from my wallet, but that's another story (which I think I posted earlier).
As for withdrawing money, Visa is the only card which is accepted: I'm from the UK, and I can usually withdraw money from various places (Brazil, Dubai, etc) with my HSBC Switch Debit card. However, this didn't work in Ghana, and I don't think they even have HSBC in the country. So yeah, the simplest thing is just to bring money and take care of it.
Transportation - I found taxis to be perfectly adequate and very cheap. I stayed at the Paloma Hotel most of the time (the place where Champs Sports Bar is found) and a taxi from there to the Aviation Centre next to the airport, which is a fair hike, cost me about Ģ1 or so. Don't pay any more than that - it's a buyer's market (there are loads of taxis).
BTW about Champs Sports Bar, do any of you regulars or guys who live in Accra frequent it? It's the kind of place I would live in if I were there - loads of big-screen TVs showing every live sport under the sun; great Tex-Mex style food; regular movie-nights; and lots of sexy girls, particularly on the karoake night, which I think is a Friday. Actually, Paloma wasn't a bad place at all - fairly reasonably priced (though my group got a corporate rate), with everything on site (food, entertainment, girls) and lots of taxis waiting outside. Too bad I was surrounded by colleagues the whole time!
Apparently the guy who owns and runs Paloma is an American or Canadian: he's a white guy and I saw him around once, but it was during a very busy time. I meant to ask him about the place - how he got it, what it cost, whether he has some kind of special dispensation from someone in government (in many countries foreigners aren't allowed to own businesses or property), etc. Did he start it from scratch, even build it himself? Is it profitable?
Does anyone here know the place, and the owner? I'd be very interested to know more about the potential to start a place like that (or buy one) in Accra. I imagine it would be a pretty good life.

Impressive!
How did you even hear of such a place that is reasonably fit for obroni's at those prices?
That is amazing news for those travelling on a budget. Many people won't even consider Africa just because of the huge accommodation costs. This is great to know even though I can afford to stay in hotels there and have stayed in many more expensive again in Europe etc, it becomes a matter of principle for me not to pay that in a 3rd world country.
Hi Blastoff,
I actually found out by asking a taxi driver. He showed me a couple of places: one of them, called the Kokomlemle Guest House, was a real shit-hole, and looked like it was in a dodgy area too. The driver told me that obroni sometimes stayed there, but I didn't fancy it (it was VERY cheap, like $3/night I think). The one I settled on was in a quieter area, right next to the huge Trust Towers: it was also set within its own compound, which was locked up at night, so I wasn't too worried about safety. The people running it were friendly and straightforward - when I arrived late with a girl, I just knocked on the gate and they came out and opened it when they saw it was me, and didn't even question the girl.
The place is fairly basic as I said - like a hostel in Europe maybe. But each room has a TV and a fridge, and it isn't dirty, so it's fine for a budget traveller. And certainly it's a hell of a lot better value than a $100+ place. I really only slept and shagged there - after waking up late and having some morning fun, I got rid of the girl, had some breakfast, took a taxi to the aviation centre gym, then to Champs for some live sport and steak, followed by either sticking around at Champs in the evening to watch a movie or enjoy the karaoke, or taking a taxi to Jokers/Macumba/Aquarius to check out the booty, before finally retiring back to the guest house with my chosen bubblebutt. Nice!

LOL..you're right...blame it on "ghana speak".
BTW, I am all for you opening another sports bar like 'Champs". Have you been to Ryan's? I notice that different places attract different kind of obroni crowd. e.g.
Ryans: mostly UN/Embassy obroni crowd, 30s yrs+...lotsa 4WDs/CD number plates
Champs: NGOs/short term obronis, 25-30 yrs
Moonsoon: Flashy/biz type obronis
Tantra: Flashy/RICH/dance crowd/party till you drop kinda obronis.
Macumbah: newbie obroni...first port of call for all just landed obroni
Damba Lounge,Golden Tulip: Oldies/family type/biz.
I prefer Saturday nite at Champs though..that's when they have a band playing. Also, fewer people. I get to sit and enjoy my tex-,ex food properly. LOL.

The owner of Champs Sports Bar is Patrick and he is Canadian. He's a cool guy and very approachable. He's been there for 10 years and he owns Champs and not Paloma. Paloma Hotel is owned by a bunch of Lebanese people (as with most places that's been around for a while)
As for the cost of setting up a business and stufff here in Ghana, PM me and I'll fill you in on all the gory details.

There is much info here for Accra but can anyone share some experiences in places outside of Accra, such as Kumasi or Cape Coast or any of the smaller towns up country? How easy is it to hook up with the girls? I guess not so difficult but any info available before I trek off into the unknown would be welcome.

Location: Same compound as the chinese restaurent " Sisters of the East" in Osu. Go down from Koala, towards Woodin. Its one of the lane on your left. Find the signage for the chinese restaurent.
Tantra is owned by the the Indian bloke who owns Top in Town supermarket.
for the perfect evening out: try.
Monsoon: Has got to be one of the better Western Style restaurents in town. Perfect set up for post dinner drinks. Also has got excellent veranda for drinking under the moonlight. Has anyone tried the new Sushi bar?
Other excellent restaurents are: La Chamiere, Tarverna Tropica. For another excellent evening out. Try Jazz Optimist (ex-Baseline).
Golden Tulip is just sad and pathetic. Pure RIP OFF!

Sorry bro,
Most guys I know try not to stray out of Accra, for obvious reasons. They usually pick a lady and head out to either Ada or Akosombo for a weekend "fuckfest". They may also consider Elmina. These place have excellent (by Ghana standards) hotels.
Pick your prey, pick the booze, leave on Friday afternoon, fuck till you run dry, return on Sunday evening. Monday, back to the grind. LOL.

The Sushi bar in Monsoon is quite good even though the sushi chef is Chinese - I've had it there several times. Often you'll see Japanese people eating in there.
Will try Tantra's.

It's been five years since my last trip to Kumasi, but it was pretty much of a hole when I was there, and I doubt that much has changed. What can you expect from a town whose biggest industry is funerals? There are a couiple of discos, and the women are easy, but the hotels and restaurants pretty much suck. The trip from Accra is long and uncomfortable, over rutted and dangerous road, and there's nothing at the end of the journey to make it worthwhile.
I was there last year, and intend to revisit soon. The STC Express bus to Kamasi is reasonably fast, very cheap and has AC. It's safer than any other ground transport available in Ghana. The bus makes one short stop en-route for bladder relief. Take water and buy more at the stop. Transit time is about 5 hours.
For people in a hurry, Citylink runs two flights a day to Kamasi in small commuter aircraft. 20 kilo bag limit. I believe the price is about 100 usd round trip.
If you like to mix a bit of cultural sightseeing with your mongering, Kamasi has about a day or so of things to see versus nothing in Accra. The town may be slightly less secure than Accra. It has a distinct hot season, very hot, and you will do yourself a favor to avoid it.
There are a vast number of hotel rooms available considering the size of the town and the limited number of visitors. The unimaginative or desperate monger should be able to find a connection at Ryan's Irish pub, most nights. It is co-located with Rose's Guesthouse. The whole town has possibilities and
the non or semi pro ladies should not be difficult to find.

Have any of you guys travelled with Air Afrique. An agency in London is quoting fares of approximately Ģ380 return from London to Accra via Tripoli. This is a lot cheaper than KLM or others which are charging approx Ģ550.
I have tried looking them up but all I can find on the internet is that they went bust a few years ago but they must have started again. Any info would be appreciated.

Looking into flights to Accra, you can get a cheap fare from London for September, but you need to fly on certain midweek days which does not suit me. Also with a stop in Tripoli it is a fairly long flight.
The best fare I was quoted was from an agency advertising in the Evening Standard and it was Ģ380.
I have just read through the Ghana forum. From that it seems that hotels in Accra are pretty expensive and that there are no beaches with good mongering activity. I dont know if this is the case but with all this in mind I have decided to return to tried and tested Kenya.
Got a direct flight for Ģ375 on the net. Leave London saturday morning, dancing and drinking in the Madhouse by midnight. Will be there in a month and will post reports.

Yeah-yeah, I know...why bother when the local bootie is in endless supply. Well, I am trying to be a good punter-bro. and share info with fellow bros. that may wanna have a change of the menu..lol. Anyway ,here goes:
Morrocan Option:
May's: located 50 metres away from Jokers. Its on the same side as Jokers, drive on about 50 metres or so.
Casablanca: Osu area, head down to Papaye from Koala, at the junction by Papaye, turn left, and make another first left and then another first left. The area is dark...head in to a small open space. The joint is on your left. Last time I went, there was an Indian option available.
Niagara Hotel: Adabraka. Its located at the basement of the hotel. The best of the lot. Just re-open under a new management.
Pic. is a sample of the type of morrocan dish available..SLURP !!
Philipines Option:
Filko Hotel, Tema. I don't know which Tema Community area it's in but its in the same area as the China Casino (see below).
Also, Manila Bar...again, my knowledge of Tema is bad (LOL)
These are famous places in Tema, and you should not have any problems locating them. Also both Manila Bar and Morocco Bar has huge local dishes on the menu. Manila Bar is practically an institution as per Macumbah in Accra.
Other options for both Philipines and Morrocan Options are:
Sinebadde*! Bar (or better known as Morroco Bar)..located behind Filko, Tema.
PRC Option:
Unfortunately , I cannot speak from experience but a mate who has says that they are available at Accra's Starworld Casino (Osu), Harbin Casino (Labadi Beach) and the China Casino (that I mentioned above in Tema)
For those that have visited South East Asia: How do the girls compare?
also are there any sites that have more info on ghana's nightlife to complement the excellent info here?
No introduction site is truly free. I gave afro a try. You must pay to have acess to emails and member photos and profile options. The way the site isstructured YOU WILL HAVE TO OBTAIN THE GOLD PACKAGE. It eill leave u no other choice. I posted a a bare chested pic and the results were overwhelming. Now read closely. I am not arrogant biut have a great young body by black woman's standards. White woman 2 because theyre on the site seeking black men. Most of the girls do not have pics posted and will email you to death to messenger chat on yahoo. U WILL MEET 10 SCAMS per every nice girl. The good lookin woman are inconsistent (by my own standard) and many are con artist. Every conversation ends up in " Ihave money in the states but dont have access to it can u help me?". DONT LISTEN ITS A SCAM. One girl tried to scam me for 20 dollars for "water". Some girls are nice but very unatrractive or dont have photos available. If your white I wouldnt suggest the service. The girls secretly prey on the white guys. Some going as far as to marry and then leave the guys shortly after arriving in the states or UK. The Ghana girls seem to be nice. Less aggresive than some of the other countries. The girls from NIGERIA are mostly con artist. These are not stereotypes people. I am speaking from experience. I wanted to go to Lagos so badly but will probaly opt for Ghana because out of the 27 girls I met from Nigeria all but 2 seem genuine whereas out of the 11 I met from GHANA 5 seem sincere. **Please note that this is in large part due to the actual population difference as well as economic and political stability. Nigeria is one of the the most corrupt places in Africa. Lagos is like the New York of West Africa. So is Afrointroductions worth it? Only if you are in Africa and can meet the lady of choice there the same day or week. If its going to take longer than 2 months before your trip, dont waste your time. If your white just know that you are a meal ticket and keeper of the visa they desire. Not being racist but just u giving guys the real deal. I think thats what we all want, right?
Afrointroductions is NOT a free site if you want to read and send messages to the ladies.
The price for a Gold membership is about 37 Australian dollars a month, but you get a discount if you purchase longer memberships.
I can highly recommend this site and I have met many ladies there that I have actually hooked up with in Ghana.
To be honest, I think that everybody able to afford the flight to Accra, will also afford the price they charge.
I agree Curry allot of the girls on Afro are con artists unfortunately not all though here is a lady I picked up at Wakkiki club Accra, excellent fuck. Cost 250,000 Ghanaian cedis about Ģ14.00 or $24.00 all night.

Well my friends, I have a few things to say about Afrointroductions. You would be well advised to listen to my advice and avoid this website. You should save your money.
I have been looking at several African nations to visit, again looking for legitimate wife, but doing a little bit of mongering also at the same time on the side. So I wasted the better part of 30 bucks to check it out.
Yes, there are plenty of women listed, I was mostly interested in the 18 to 21 year olds. I wrote approximately 100 women. Only one 18 year-old answered me back. But several undesirables quickly pounced on my e-mail box.
Every scam in the book, I now am an expert on. Every single girl tries to get you to call a cell phone number so they can lay a sob story on you and tell you they need money. After the first few I quit calling making excuses that I didn't have an international calling plan.
When calling fails, they want to play the same sad sob story on you on yahoo messenger. They waste your time with none intellectual chitchat. Which reduces you to asking questions to keep the conversation going and then they start answering yes or no to whatever. And there's often a big delay indicating that it's a good bet they're chatting with several men at the same time with them answering a lot of yes /no questions. I think the true motive is to keep your attention away from other females so that they have the privilege of fleecing you. But they have nothing intelligent to say whatsoever.
When I announced I would not send in money until after I meet them. Their desire to chat disappears. But some of these scammers apparently are still real women . They still however want to meet you, and ask exactly when your plane will land so they can meet you at the plane. Often with family members and especially " brothers ". They often state they want you to meet with the family especially the father. I take this to mean a payoff must be made before she will be available.
There's also the usual send me money for Visa and a plane ticket and I will meet you in the United States. And the scam about doing creative financing for several million dollars if you're willing to take a risk. What horse sh*t!
And I've become an Immigration attorney, answered hundreds of questions about immigration laws.
My final assessment is in agreement with most of the people who post on this board. If you can provide them with cash or Visa, you are a target. These women profess undying love, faithfulness, anything else from the first or second letter. Total bullsh*t.
I know friends from Africa who tell me they send home $5 has a present to each of their relatives at Christmas and it's a big deal. These women asking for $10, $20 or even $50 are making bank. And it's laughable to give a woman whom you never met any cash.
Afrointroductions is ruled by scammers. IMHO

Poturu had asked me about swimming while staying in Accra.
The best beach for sea swimming in Accra is probably the La Pleasure Beach, formerly Labadi, located directly below the International Trade Fair site. Has a small entrance fee. This may be one of the best places to see people on weekends, and I'm sure that you'll find girls here.
Yes, it's possible to bathe with the girls in Accra. If you're staying at a hotel that has a decent pool, you can invite the girl to spend the afternoon with you - she'd probably consider that a treat. But don't be surprised if she tells you that she doesn't have a swimsuit. Not a problem at beaches, but may be required at some hotel pools, so you'll have to buy her one.

I hear that there are Chinese girls available in Tema - has anyone experienced this ? Cost ? Service ? Do they cater just to the Korean fishing trade or will they also service locals ?

Of course there are scammers there who insist that they need money, want presents etc but as soon those subjects are brought up it is just end of conversation with me.
I have met a couple of ladies from the site IRL and some were OK and some were not. It is ok to meet a sexy african lady for fucking without paying for it. But of course, you dont need to contact a lady in advance as you will meet a lot of non-pros who want to make love to you. Of course, you are paying them meals, maybe some travelling expenses but thats ok with me.
But just conversation on the site is just a waste of time. One can use it when it is maybe a month left to actually being in the country.

Guys,
I really don't understand why anyone would want to use a pay service to meet women in Ghana. It is just absolutely TOO EASY ! Go anywhere, if you see someone you fancy, start talking to them - chances are, you'll be in bed with them by the end of the day. Just remember to give them between 100,000 and 200,000 cedis for "transport".
Virtually every single girl wants to have an Obroni boyfriend or at least be able to say that they fucked an Obroni. Worse comes to worse, go to http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/classifieds/listing.php?CATEGORY=C and look at the women seeking men section.

Hope everyone read the above excellent post by Global Citizen, as he is correct - it's very easy to find girls in Ghana. Just show up! and be prepared to give some "transport" money, and you'll have a wide choice of possibilities.
I checked out the web page listed in Global Citizen's post - and chuckled, because the very first post on top of the page was titled "still looking for my right white man."
The commuter airline City Link has added a Accra - Takoradi route. Flights are Monday and Friday.
The bus-phobic can now visit the interesting Africa Beach Hotel. The western beach resorts like the Rainbow seem rather nice and this puts them in easy reach.

Hello gentleman,
I am just back from a 2 week trip in Ghana. My overall impression is that while Ghana has a few nice ladies, this is not worth putting up with the expense, the long flight, the extremely hot weather, and other local environmental health hazards.
In my humble opinion, Ghana is absolutely the worst place on this planet to seek out anal, unless you are into virgin ass. I wish I had gone to Cameroon instead, where the man from Morocco, belguel got some first class Ass.
While I was there, there was quite a bit of concern about malaria in the media. Apparently this is a bad year.
I now thoroughly agree that writing these women before travel is worthless. Rarely did they look like the picture they sent me.
The women are specifically looking for foreigners. I found the concept that these women are specifically looking for a white man to be erroneous, and in fact many had the opinion to be wary of the white man similar to American black women. But since their society is so fucked up, and they want to get out, they will try every opportunity. I had always felt my skin tone to be fairly dark, but I'm fairly light compared to these people, and they made me out for an African American quite easily. And I received attention accordingly. I would instead characterize these women as being basically nondiscriminating. In other words, translation: They will fuck anything that moves if you can provide them a Visa out of this hell hole.
The next major point is that these women are looking for a husband as their primary goal, not money. Give a guy a fish or teach a guy to fish? They've worked it out. Quick cash is a temporary fix at best. They want out of Africa forever! And the more you treat them like a perspective wife, the less you are going to pay. I once paid as little as 50,000 Cedi ($6)to a sweet teenage babe. A word of advice, I wouldn't worry about the deception. These girls are quite dishonest, and would be fucking your best friend in the next room while you slept, 10 minutes after she promised undying love to you. One advantage to writing, I would write to the same woman as several different guys, and each " man " would get the "you are special" treatment. And I was able to arrange meetings with the woman at different times with each man. Although only one man was going to show up in reality. It was quite amusing to expose their deception.
Don't over pay! Don't overpay! Don't overpay! 100,000 to 200,000 Cedi is a shit load in this dysfunctional economy.
Specifically About The Girls:
I found most women of Ghana to be fairly unattractive but thankfully with a few exceptions. Butt ugly was the rule IMHO! And I didn't even know a I had a foot fetish until I came to Ghana. Maybe it's because of the sandals, or the harsh life, but most of these women had " frog feet ", that were disgustingly awful.
I met up with about 10 mostly butt ugly women and 4 nice ones. Fucked the four nice ones, three of them anally. All of them anal virgins. All with very poor performance, but inadvertently gave me a very good excuse to give them the boot so I could go to the next girl.
Actually, I prefer walking along the streets in the marketplaces and other busy areas. It is possible to pick girls up off the street and they're quite flirtatious but you have to make the first move. Anyone you talk to who give you the slightest amount of play, will most likely be your "fuck toy" the same night.
Problems I Had:
Girls are persistent. Especially after you fucked them. I had a few show up uninvited to my hotel while I was in bed having sex with someone else. I wound up having to change my hotel 4 times. Because when I found a girl of quality I tried to stay with her a few days. The best girl I had met me at the Paloma hotel in Accra. One of the staff recognized her and called her father, who showed up to save his daughter from a life of prostitution. Oh brother!!! It was a very unhappy scenario. If you plan on fucking several women, I don't recommend the Paloma.
Also the food is fucked. No American restaurants of any kind. I resigned myself to eating chicken and rice as the only palatable food available.
The weather was hot and sticky and I spent quite a bit of time in the air conditioning of my room. Sleeping with the girls was difficult also because they always wanted to cut the air conditioner off because it was too cold. So it was a constant haggle especially with two of the younger teenage girls. I absolutely hate the weather of Ghana.
And now I will post a few pictures.

Thank you for the pictures Blue Metal!
I would like to give a few comments on your Ghana view. They may sound a bit harsh, but take it positively !
I have spent about ten months travelling in South-East Asia and I have also visited a few National Parks in Madagascar together with a young woman from Antananarivo. We spent the nights in local small very primitive "Wild West"-like hotels (sometimes no bathroom, squat toilet with cockroaches) but we nearly always found a reasonably comfortable bed with clean sheets (you need your own mosquito net). And I absolutely loved this way of travelling, always tasting the local food and drinks along the way.
This is the way I have been educated : while travelling, clearing your mind from most Western needs and starting from scratch, looking at this new unfamiliar environment with sparkling inquisitive eyes and greedily "swallowing" everything you come across... Thank God there are still countries/regions without typical American or Western-European restaurants or hotels ! Live would be so incredibly boring if all countries looked the same.
I have not too much trouble with the tropical heat, and I am convinced from experience this has something to do with your weight as well as with your state of mind while travelling in a new environment.
It is important not to think negatively but to consider new things in a positive way (except violent robbery of course). It is also very important not to be overweight : a person with a slim figure is not (too much) affected by the heat. Do not drink Coca or the like but try water, tea, fruit juice, the Ghana palm drink. It is absolutely normal if you do not like these drinks or Ghana food the first time, you just have to persevere and after many trials you will at least be more familiar with the habit of acquiring new tastes...
If you want the girls to be fond of airconditioned rooms, then go to South-East Asia. Asian city girls cannot do without.
Thank you for reading my opinion and hopefully I will be able to post some Ghana girlie pictures as well after my trip next year.

Potted beef,
I agree with you 100%
Besides, I donīt think Ghana is too bad a third world country If you stay in Accra and Kumasi it is not much less develloped that many Latin American places (of course I am not talking Buenos Aires, Rio or Mexico city here)
The heat is not worse than in most tropical places.
People are extremely nice and the women were not deceiving me worth than I deceived them. For me it is a wonderful country to travel to, very safe, with enough good looking and friendly girls. If you are in shape and decent looking you can have freebies even if you tell them you will never invite them to your country and that you have a girlfriend at home.
But I guess even Accra is too third world and to too excotic to people who havenīt travelled at lot.
Potted Beef
To anyone from a temperate climate, the weather in Ghana ranges from unpleasant to very darn unpleasant. I recall the despairing tone of voice of a long time Canadian ex-pat in Kumasi bemoaning the coming hot season. His stick-like figure did not protect him from the hammering combination of heat and humidity. I had to ask him "you can't mean it gets worse?"
Exception: On the beach with a good on-shore breeze, it can be rather nice.

My first try at posting pictures.
The first girl is freelancer i met. We danced half the night, then off to my hotel. An absolute nympho like I never had before, and I have mongered in more than 30 countries, inluding the infamous Brazil, Colombia, Cambodia. We had sex 5 times until I kicked her out at 7 pm the next day. She was masturbating twice in between. Look at her ass, in one picture she was sleeping and it still was hard as hell.
Normally I prefer skinny girls. This time I met with a non-pro from a websitewho had a litlle extra padding, but in the right places. She has an Englisch boyfriend who allows her to have sex on the side (I even talked to him on the phone). I didnīt pay a single cent, our expenses were kind of evenly split.
If I had a choice where to monger (of the countries I know) my top choices are Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia and Ghana. I will definitely be back.

With all due respect my friend.
Potted Beef,
I understand your point, but I was born and raised in the desert southwest and I have hated extreme heat all my life, even when I was very slender as a kid. I don't think this is a factor.
Goal number one! The whole mongering experience is supposed to be fun, romantic if possible, and exceptionally erotic.
What does shit for food, oppressive heat and humidity, crappy hotels, Cockroaches, and Malaria laden mosquitoes have to do with that?
The idea is to overcome the disadvantages and inconveniences and achieve goal number one.
In fact, what the hell are you talking about???:) Camping, and roughing it? Or hot sex?
Even the girls hate this third world life style! It's so sad because these people know life could be and should be so much better than what they have. And an 18 y/o girl will fuck an 80 y/o man for a chance to leave. There is nothing romantic about the third world situation that I have appreciated up to now, except the women.
Honestly, how many Americans will enjoy the Ghana weather? How about a show of hands?:) In fact, without air conditioning or a swimming pool, how many people enjoy hot, humid hazy summer days in Detroit, Chicago, or New York?
Two words: not me. :)
And by the way, I constantly drank those little water-in-the-baggies and it was the only thing that was cool outside the hotel. So your advice is at least partially right. :)
Blue Metal.
Well, I have started packing the bag for my second trip to Ghana. I will be in Kumasi and Ho during this trip and hope to post as I go. Anyone wanting specific reports or information should PM me to see if I can assist you.
Other than the usual reports about the towns mentioned above, I plan to look into the issue of the presence or absence of clits in the female population and investigate the hunting possibilities at the new A & C Mall in Accra.

Just returned from my first trip to Ghana. A slightly shaky start but all together a great experience .. many thanks to Global Citizen for his help and advice , hope we can meet up again in some interesting corner of this world.
Arrived on a Saturday night and had gatherd enough information to know that Friday and Saturday nights in Accra are to be made the most of as its somewhat quieter on other nights.
My flight on KLM landed at around 7.30 and thankfully negotiated the airport quite quickly.
On then to Hibiscus Hotel where I had already booked and which I can't praise enough suited my needs perfectly and the staff are great (thanks G.C.) the only drawback is that its quite far from the center.
Showerd changed and was in Town by around 9pm I tried to find Champs as I wanted to have a few drinks and maybe a game of pool before I checked out the more popular places , anyhow after a lot of messing about I had to give up because my taxi as well as everybody else that night seemed to not know it?
I now realised I should just have directed them to Paloma Hotel.
I did however find a great place in Lomboni called the Celsbridge pub which has pool ,sky sports, and really cold Star on tap , stayed maybe a little too long there and certainly drank too much after which I headed for Wakiki .
I visited wakiki three times and didn,t really take to the place , certainly no abundance of nice women!
So I decided at around 12.30 that it Had to be Macumba ! the place was in full swing when I arrived and the action inside was frenetic .. a little too much so ! I was dragged aside three times before I even got to the bar !
was constantly bombarded in the next 30 minutes or so , not by the best of the species either ! so I took refuge back at the bar again where I met Jennifer .
She was very good looking , great body and not nearly as pushy as the others in there but as soon as she realised my interest she really turned on the charm , we had a great time in the club and when I decided to head back had no qualms in letting her accompany me.
I have just made my big mistake in Ghana. I didn't get a price first, I was drunk and she seemed such a nice girl that I thought it would be ok sorted later. Yes I had a great time she was great in bed and did all that was asked enthusiasticly. At around 9 pm the next morning after yet another session she decide it was time to leave, no problem, untill the subject of money came up she wanted 100 dollars! I had calculated that 30 would be about right and we both stubbornly stuck to our prices untill she threatend calling her police friend, at which point I was pissed off with her and said go ahead.
Now maybe the guy that turned up wasn't legit or maybe he was and off duty?
But his Details looked real enough and the Hotel manager was convinced and worried enough ! so after yet more arguing I managed to get out of settling it at the station by giving the girl $50 ( by now she was fed up too) and the police guy $10 for his trouble.
But my advice to anybody else who takes a girl fom a club here. Make sure you get a price first. Saves a lot of hassle . Didn't pay more than 30 after that and had an absolute ball found some great company in Jokers and Aquarius as well as the streets around Cantoments.
Also If I had more time there are great non pros to be found everywhere.
Ghana is definetely on my must do again list.

Just wondering if there is a mongering scene in Tamale given it is mostly Moslem/Dagbani. Send me a private message if you know if it is hopefully like the rest of Ghana in that there are girls to meet and it is not impossible due to strict Moslem rules.
Are you going there to join the "festivities" now that they are at longest last, going to bury the Ya Na?
Lot's of drumming and the possibility of automatic weapons fire.
Seriously, I would wonder if the funeral and the mourning period would result in a negative effect beyond the usual moslem difficulties.
Enjoy!

I'm an inexperienced pooner in terms of going international, so this may be a dumb question for you old Africa hands- what is the meaning of the thin string or chain nearly all West/Central African women seem to wear in the nude or near-nude photos? I've seen it on many websites, worn by women of many countries around the West and Central African region.
Oldrustler,
As far as I know, it's just a decoration. Kind of like jewelry, they wear it because it looks nice.

"what is the meaning of the thin string or chain nearly all West/Central African women seem to wear in the nude or near-nude photos? I've seen it on many websites, worn by women of many countries around the West and Central African region."
For most West Africans this ornament is a contraceptive charm, but also may function as a general or specific barrier to evil and witchcraft directed at the wearer

They are referred to as Beads and all female wear them and never remove them except to replace them with new ones as they grow older/fatter. It's worn inside her clothes and not normally shown.
It is said by some locals that the beads are what makes their ass so round. When local men see the beads on a girl, they get horny so it is also used to entice men. So, once way to flirt with a girl is by asking to see her beads - if she shows you, good chance she'll fuck you.

Accra..
After I left last year, Accra underwent a major series of campaigns to clean up the town and relocate the teeming groups of hawkers lining (and blocking) all major routes. People will be pleased to know that all these efforts have failed to change a damm thing and Accra has returned to a natural state of friendly squalor combined with world class traffic jams.
On my first night here ( Wednesday) I was jaded from the long flight and really not in the mood for much beyond a bit of sleep. I did find the energy to investigate Oops. This place has been described as a night club or disco for oldsters.
As an oldster myself, I thought I might fit in there. The place is so small that 10 customers give it a busy feel. I repeat, it is really- really small, It has the usual muscular sound system. It is not a bad place to take someone but is is certainly not the place for a monger expecting value for money.
All the customers seemed to be good burgers of the town, out for a bit of Star beer and dancing with the wife, second wife or girlfriend. There were only a few unaccompanied ladies but I am sure a socially gifted person could find way to make a friend or two. Simple money transactions are not the thing at Oops. Go direct to the bar seats if you can.
On another matter, I posted some pages back that CityLink, a local commuter airline, offered flights to Takoradi from Accra twice a week. I find this to be in error. Only charter flights to Tako are offered. Regular daily service to Kumasi is offered at an affordable price.
i have yet to find a working hotspot to post my reports so a bunch will be posted in the order I wrote them.
Set down like an alien star-ship directly under the landing pattern of the Kotoka International Airport is the new A & C Mall. All my Ghanian driver could say was "What is this? Why is this here?
The mall is small as these things go in the west but it is a real little jewel of a building set in what seemed at first sight to be a wasteland. I plan to go out there in the daytime later in the trip and see if anyone lives nearby. If they do, they must be moneyed or this mall is in trouble.
From a monger standpoint, this mall has a few good points. Lovely staff in every store for those who like to meet the sales girls. A Max Mart with the usual necessities. A ice cream shop on the second level with tables and seats and some good looking customers. Also on the second level is a nice store with exotic ladies underwear and nighties, hmmmm it's good!
The down sides are location rather far out of town. The mall opened about 2 or 3 weeks ago and not developed a lot of traffic yet. Limited public hang-out space may
make it difficult to find unattached girls. The high priced stores may draw a clientele of seriously married ladies. Guys with a good "line" or smooth social skills are welcome to check it out and comment here. I am ruefully deficient in these skills.
Ok, so I got desperate. It was 24 hours and I had not met any woman yet.
Less than a dollar taxi ride from my hotel in the Adabraka district sits the Waikiki disco. This well known night spot is tucked away off the street near the Nukruma circle. It's maybe a bit smaller than the Macumba but the loud sound system and aggressive ladies seemed very familiar. Like most pick up spots in Ghana, the "ladies drink" system is not in use. The girls seem to be semi-independent business women.
Sometimes you can get in a fix with such aggressive sales people and that happened to me. I should have gone at once to the most heavily populated part of the club but I made the error of stopping to get a drink at the first of two bars as you enter. Fellows, don't do that!
First one and then another lady approached. The girls ganged up on me to the extent that my desire to survey the bar for this report turned into a fight to keep their hands off my slender member, drink some of my G&T and try to keep my cool. I never did finish that drink.
The second girl was breaking the "rules", such as they are, by trespassing on the other ladies right of first conversation. As this went on, I began to fear a cat fight. I began to regret that I travel alone. A drinking buddy would have given me an escape route.
For guys that get off on starting cat fights, Ghana has something for you. Personally, I don't like the disturbance and can't imagine a useful result.
Being an unabashed coward, I gave #2 some small talking money, like you might in China, and told #1 we were going. Number two did not give up and a bit of unpleasantness and fighting words in several local languages followed at the exit, but the bouncers prevented actual fighting.
Number one spent the night, had reasonable technique but in the end, was too mercenary for the long term. She was eyeing my second cell phone the first night!
I gave her a recharge card over and above the usual 20/25 dollars but she flashed me twice like a cheapskate the next afternoon and so, I move on.
Even a humble guy has to believe he is worth 25 phone credits.
I am off to Takoradi shortly.
Busy Internet - Central Ring Road - A fast connection to this board.
54 percent charge. Sunday in Ghana and I hang around at Busy Internet as long as a charge remains in my Mac, drinking a bit of Schweppes at the Wi-Fi cafe. The Wi-Fi is not currently working so I have to go to the VIP area where I can use a ethernet cable to get up on the net. Back and forth I go writing this posting and transmitting when I finish. I hope to run into some of the cute ladies running internet scams on foolish foreigners. Perhaps when faced with the real thing I might convince one of them that a bird the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
So far I have seen no ladies here pursuing hot romance (or worth my time) but a large number of fellows, some looking like their business here is to expand a 419 empire. In fairness, I do see a few lookers but the M/F ratio of about 10 to 1 This suggests to me that I should try some other venue. I have a sinking feeling that the hot ones are at the big revival meetings down the road from here. The Schweppes is good.
I am at 24 percent and the end of my stay here is in sight. Hey! Here come the backpacker ladies in the inevitable wrap around dress and flip flops. I have never tried these girls, intently studying drumming or ancient Ashanti midwifery techniques here in Ghana for months at a time. A few I talked to are perhaps jaded by the daily (or hourly) offers of marriage and not a few seem to be more than a little crazy. A German fellow, working in one of the smaller towns, told me he too gets marriage offers almost daily so we can be sure that in Ghana, people treat all foreigners fairly.
2 percent power remaining, the end has come. I hear Gerry's Club is open on Sundays but I do have to pack tonight to make an early bus. Here's hoping I find some compassionate staff at my hotel.
Thanks for sharing Dogs Body. I really enjoy reading your reports!
"what is the meaning of the thin string or chain nearly all West/Central African women seem to wear"
As far as I know, they have many functions:
1) a cosmetic one: they are an ornament
2) they make the woman more sexy (I too believe this is true)
3) sometimes they are used to keep evil things, like illness and evil eye, far from your body. In this case a witch doctor or an old lady makes them more powerful.
Sometimes they are worn only during some period of the woman's life.
Not all the ethnic groups wear them.
My Ivorian wife has worn them only for a short period after her mother death, and took them off just before the marriage. She never explained me the reason.
I think that this is one of those little thing that makes Africa so fascinating...
Regards,
Ciccio
Takoradi - Monday- A fine cool ocean wind blowing
This town has been described in some travel forums as a vile disgusting dump. This is not really a fair evaluation
It certainly has some very poor sections but truthfully, the area around the Africa Beach Hotel is as nice as anyplace in Ghana. Nice trees, houses and schools are located here.
Historically, it is a malaria hot spot so take your meds!
Technology permitting, I will post a photo or two of this little hotel for the membership after my return.
I expect to look at the main town tomorrow, looking for any new venues and a hot spot to get my posts up. (as it turns out, only simple internet cafes are offered here, damm!) A cheap ( 50,000/ 6 usd ) and safe(er) STC Express A/C bus got me here in about 4 hours, departing from the main Accra STC station on the ring road. It makes one rest stop in Cape Coast. The bus left Accra about two hours late but hey, it got here quickly.
The Africa Beach has made some improvements since my last stay. A second summer hut is up. The additional beach-front chalet that was under construction during my last visit is completed. There are three of these units facing the beach and if you are bringing someone, it would be worth requesting one of them. You also get a good strong breeze off the ocean. The A/C units are powerful. The hotel has a nice pool. If you are not bringing someone, the hotel has it's best days on Friday or Saturday when bands play here. Many agreeable ladies come to the hotel then. You will note that Dogs Body is here at the wrong part of the week but hope springs eternal. i may luck out as I now see a slender lady wandering by. Things are looking up even as I write this. O the Joy! Several more ladies have wandered in along with a group of what look like Euro businessmen. That Euro bait should draw in a good mass of prospects tonight and over the next day or so.
Sheila, Betsy and a unnamed friend join my table near the bar. These ladies are Fanti speakers (along with Ghana's unique English) and I indulge one of my major failings as a monger in Ghana. I like to feed the ladies. As it turns out, feeding 3 girls, many drinks and whatnot, will run me about 270,000 cedis. Betsy's services for the night are somewhat less expensive. We spend several hours talking, telling lies to each other as the girls enjoy themselves and trade insults and BS with the other girls that show up as the night progresses. There were about ten or twelve ladies to pick from on this rather unexceptional Monday night. That was more than I thought possible in a hotel with about 6 guests. (as it turns out, this was the slowest night, It got even better the next two nights) On the basis of statements by the girls, many of them are willing and able to head off to the beach resorts further west, if asked.
There are several furnished condo-like units next to the ABH. They are very new and very good quality. Like you would expect to see in the states. I sighted big split A/C units. The sign outside offers short term rental. PM if you would like the telephone number for further investigation.
Tuesday I stopped at the Harbor View Bar but I still cannot recommend it to anyone as it's so damm dark on the open terrace. Perhaps because of the bright flood lights from the port below, it is impossible to get any idea what a lady looks like. You will be approached at the Harbor View, but by what? Talking to Betsy, I gather that the other hotels in the area, like the Takoradi Beach Hotel, have there own contingents of semi-regular girls. If your hotel or guest house has a lack of services you can always drop in at the ABH for a drink and to make a connection with amazing rapidity. You can pay to use the pool if you stay elsewhere. Since the ABH in on the very end of a dead end road, get the cell numbers of any good taxi drivers. They will come pick you up if you need to go to the bank or wherever.
The Ocean Bar on Axim street is said to have live bands on the weekend but this info is from a taxi driver and not reliable. I can see gaming machines near the entrance so the place looks worth investigating. As I have run out of time here, some other member will have to take up that duty.
I am nursing a number of mosquito bites but with luck, these are from non-malarial bugs.
Back to Accra for one night, will post this, then off to Ho.
ho is one of the smaller cities i am visiting. it is the admin. center of the volta region and might be considered something like a small city or large sized farming town..
there were two hotels i stayed at. the first was chance's hotel. it is located beyond the city limits, in rural surroundings, about 2 miles from the center of town.
without a doubt this is one of the top hotels in ghana. (flat rate 48 usd)
a wonderful, nice hotel, very-very clean, guest friendly, pool, good clean food, very good services except.... those that pertain to direct mongering. in ho, it seems you are on your own.
(i have cut out here a long paragraph about the owner and what a wonder he and this hotel is)
this is not all bad by any means. if you like the girl in the street or shop method of meeting the non-professional, you will enjoy ho. i have sighted any number of nice looking ladies but both hotels here do not have any groups of ladies hanging about the bars. sales girls at cell phone shops seem to be picked for good looks. i always had a cell phone problem to talk with them about.
my taxi driver offered to set things up, so that method would work here too. personally, i don't have any confidence in the good taste of this particular driver. i did not take his offer.
the other hotel is the freedom. perhaps due to the example from chance's, it too seems a clean and orderly operation but it has the well worn look of most hotels in ghana. soviet construction and design is the theme here. freedom has a pool, two bars and the usual amenities at rates that are quite reasonable. (c 450.000 at most) i spent some time there on saturday night and saw very few customers, mostly guys staying at the hotel.
small bars are rep001tered about the town. the white house restaurant has a street bar that is nice for girl watching or meeting in the evening. archid's pleasure garden is a outdoor bar located in a big wooded lot about 4 blocks up from the center. it's very minimal but has a large cement patio used for dancing. it is the coolest place in town on a hot afternoon, very shaded. you should take a car and local or two with you if you go there late. the area is very badly lit.
i am back in accra for 2 nights and then off to kumasi.
i was quoted c 9.200.00 to the dollar today at an accra exchange.
This is my second trip to ghana and I have to say that personal security may be not as good as last year. (or perhaps I am less lucky)
In Ho last night, I was having a beer at the White House when a local fellow drew my attention. Standing behind me, I heard his movements and took a look at him. He acted like any number of people do, standing on the sidewalk, watching the traffic (and me) but I felt something and the alarm bell rang.
I was girl watching but I also note things going on around me. You better too!
I left the street bar and headed toward the center of town and sure enough my shadow followed, stopping when I did, starting again when I did. I palmed my leatherman and picked a well lighted spot to stop the first sharing taxi that passed. I gave the driver c 2.000 and told him "Let's go, that guy wants to make trouble for me".
In any case, what I want to say is take reasonable care, watch events and people around you because the ill intentioned can see you a mile off. That goes for any black american too. They can type you as a foreigner rapidly, or never later than the moment you open your mouth and ask for a Star.
The 419 guys, who also will mug you if the opportunity permits, have a heavy presence in Accra and I have had some experiences with them on this trip too. You might take the bullshit line they put out as a joke but they are dangerous, ditch them as rapidly as possible.
Enjoy!
Posted with some regret as it contains more questions than answers,
Yes, it's possible.
Before I left the states some posts regarding available white(er) women reported ladies in a club located below the Niagara Hotel (girl friendly, like every hotel I know in Ghana, provided you are paying for a double) 100 usd was reported as the going rate.
As it only required me to walk downstairs, I poked my nose in to see what's what for the enlightenment of the membership of this board.
The lay out reminded me of some of the smaller clubs in BA, A bar on one side and sofa sets and tables on the other walls. Fairly plush, it was very clean and tidy. I was there on a Thursday and it was early. Signs outside claim some rather respectable middle eastern dinner specialties are on offer. No cars in the car park. No cover charge.
One or two other guys at the bar and about 3 or 4 women dressed for success. A Ghanian lady took my drink order, as none of the white(er) staff seemed to speak English. She muttered something about gin costing 2 units and tonic costing one unit. Units? What's this? 3 units became C 70,000! Simple cocktails at the high end Monsoon run about C 40,000. Admittedly, they poured a stiff drink but the place looks like it's set up for the lady drink system and that I avoid if possible. I am a cheap SOB The tab can reach the moon very quickly at a talking bar.
The girls were short, a little pudgy, and quite cute. I suspect they are about a 7 on the Arabic beauty scale. A Lebanese bar with lady drinks is actually the work of geniuses. As anyone who has been here for a short time knows, the Lebanese guys seem to spend endless hours in (pointless?) conversation over a cup of coffee. This club can harness a cultural characteristic to the goal of ever increasing profit, as long as the girls bladders hold out,
This post contains quite a bit of speculation as I did not and could not talk to the ladies and did not attempt a take out. Any details about the payment system, how the club functions, would be helpful. Are they counting units for a bar fine? Are the girls drinks as outrageously expensive? It did look like the tea or fruit drink business was operating.
Enjoy!
Took the STC to Kumasi. A/C bus ticket was C 50 or 55,000 So it's still cheap but between traffic and road work it took about 6 hours for a 4 hour trip.
I suppose it had to happen some day. The Ryan's Pub here in Kumasi (no relation to the one in Accra) has undergone a serious remodel. It was a rather simple pub, saloon or tavern when I saw it last year, stocked with furniture that had seen a lot of hard use. This bar is located in the same compound with Rose's Guest House and is very easy to find. Use the guest house name with the taxi drivers.
It is now a smaller version of Jokers, without the dash hungry, menacing, F'ing security guys. It is how Jokers should be. Did I mention how unimpressed I am by Jokers in Accra?
Ryan's is now called the Vienna Bar. It has added pool tables, a small casino, new bar lay-out and new fixtures. New everything really, neon all over. Food is served. With the name change there should be no confusion with the Accra Pub of the same name.
Fortunately, what it also has, is a fair number of working ladies inside and more who make the small area outside the entryway home. Several more were killing time near the vehicle gate. Payment in the 20/25 usd range accepted with out question so local rates may be lower. I did not set a price first but but paid in the morning.. In Accra this may be a bad idea.. There are nice chairs and a sofa or two set outside the entry for whatever conversation is needed, but it would seem that very little of that is required. The Vienna Bar seems to have action available most nights. Other locations seem to be weekend locations for the most part. So said my taxi guy and I think he is reliable. He turned out to be very good indeed.
This evening (Friday) I will be attempting a short tour in company with another member of this board. We hope to check some of some of the available night life in this town. It's Friday so I expect that many of the places that were dead yesterday will be showing signs of life. As it turns out, we have a hell of a rain storm come in this afternoon, about 5 o'clock, and though the the downpour and lighting has moved on by 9 o'clock it did affect the size of crowds out for the evening.
The Pink Panther Hotel, was checked due to jazz music on offer most nights and my sometimes foolish theory that music would tend to draw the girls. My companion wonders about my sanity dragging him out here. Dead, very dead. Music ends at 10. Semi-remote suburban location.
Spice. A building, car park dance area combination. Outdoor sound system permits dancing anywhere within about a half mile. Gut level vibration before even getting out the taxi. Local people out for a bit of beer, food and music. On a good night this may work for meeting the non pro. Not a large crowd tonight but remember the rain.
Worth a look see. No cover charge
Cheers. A dead night at this indoor, upstairs club or tavern. Another bad sign, not a lot of seating. No cover charge. Taxi guy said it opened recently and may not have a clientele yet (or ever?) Relatively close to Rose's so someone might check it out from time to time.
Several other drinking / music spots of 30 plus seats that fall into the general category of the white plastic chair, outdoor or street bar so common in Ghana but of larger size. If you want to meet real people and can budget the time involved, your can network a nonprofessional at these places.
At the end of our expedition we return to the very active Vienna Bar where the ladies are not a problem. A rapid conclusion to our investigations.
The Vienna Bar has a dress code it seems, no shorts or sandals for men, but with mixed feelings I report this may not apply to oboni and it may be a kind of riffraff defense by the bar. Some girls told off over bare midriff outfits. No cover required.
The bar crowd had several young Ghanian couples of the well-off class in addition to the usual working ex-pat types, tourists, and odd cases like myself. All together about 90 percent locals. It was a very good mix of people.
I used City Link to fly from Kumasi to Accra today. Very happy with the service. (US pilot) One way ticket C 615,000. Round trip tickets at slightly better pricing I believe. The luggage allowance is low on these small aircraft. I paid C40,000 for excess baggage. The dollar still rising relative to the C. Offered 9300 on a weekend, when rates are usually worse.
Sunday in Accra.
As everybody who looks into the matter knows, many businesses and whatnot are closed on Sunday here. So what to do? In terms of mass numbers of willing ladies hanging about, La Pleasure Beach is the solution to the Sunday effect.
As all this has been very well covered on the board. I will not repeat most of the details but I will observe that if your interest is in ladies only, you might want to go to the beach late in the day, during the hour or so before sunset. At that time the groups of families, backpacker ladies and NGO types start to clear out fast and the number of girls increases very rapidly. If you are trying to kill some time on a Sunday, you can enjoy the beach all day with no worries, secure in the knowledge that a treat awaits you as the sun goes down.
Since the beach security after dark is as questionable as any place in Accra, I suggest taking your pick and getting out as soon as possible, unless you are in a protective group. Sadly, I pulled my worst technical experience in Ghana from La Beach. Perhaps it was simply bad chemistry, my color or body hair that caused the problem. (I did shower of course) I don't know. I advised her to try another line of work where she would feel some enthusiasm for the job at hand.
On another matter, late Saturday I had a taxi driver recommendation to try a newer club called the Warehouse, located in Adabraka, the district near Nkrumah Circle. I drove over there at about 10 o'clock to look it over and found a large blackish multi story building set in what seems to be a poor residential section. I was foolishly surprised to find that the place did not even open until 11:00 (23:00) so I went back to my hotel for a shower. At the hotel, I simply nodded off, fully dressed, from air-conditioner effect and slept for 4 or 5 hours before waking, very upset with myself. Now that I know the name of the place, everyone I ask tells me it's the best Accra hot spot right now. This place needs a full report. Perhaps someone will give it a try?
All girls I met here seem to be clitted. I have seen many a different design here and wonder if some smaller adjustments are being made to labia as these have been small in every case. Trimming perhaps. Trimming or thinning pubic hair also seen every time. YMMV.
Dollar at 9300 and got 9350 for 100 dollar bills. It seems that by showing some reluctance you can get C 50 extra most times.
My time here is about over.
Buying the expected souvenirs today. Spending more on K cloth than I can afford.
I wish to thank all the board members who have posted here remarkably accurate and useful information.
Enjoy!

Ghana is definetely on my must do again list.I make the same mistake too. And it cost me US 100 and that is only for a BJ.
Sigh
Just returned from a fairly extensive trip around various parts of Ghana, hoping to post my experiences in the days to come when I find the time.
Anyway, started off in Accra and stayed at the Coconut Grove Hotel which is nice just off the ringroad close to Osu and not so far from Adabraka. It also has a pool which is a plus as Accra is bloody hot at this time of year. $80 per night.
Contacted a local Ghanaian friend of mine, he's a tennis coach and we hooked up for a couple of sets down at the national sports stadium, I must be fucking mad in this heat.
Later we meet up in Osu for a night out and he introduces me to a lovely 21 year old petite student friend of his called Mary who is so quiet and shy at first but is obviously very interested in getting to know this obroni. We end up at a nice chilled club called Vanity in Osu, being saturday night, the place is pretty lively and I like it here, it's nothing like the hard core places such as Macumba. It's small, I'm the only obroni and my buddy seems to know most of the clientele, well it is his patch after all.
Mary whispers in my ear she wants to spend the night with me but has to leave early in the morning because she is in her church choir and it is sunday tomorrow! I am starting to like this girl more and more! We say goodbye to Vanity and hop in a taxi back to my hotel. She really is a lovely girl and sure enough at 6.30 am she kisses me goodbye and scribbles down the name of the church and asks if I'd like to come along later.
Church on sunday is big in Africa and I quite fancy checking it out so armed with the name of the church I try and make it for the 9am service, trouble is there are so many different churches everywhere and at least 3 I visited in the area of the denomination Mary has given me. I end up at the wrong one and after a further hour give up altogether looking for her, will call her later.
She stays the night again sunday, as she lives with her family, she is supposedly visiting her aunt! The next day she skips college and along with my tennis buddy, I hire a driver and the 3 of us head out to the Aburi Botanical Gardens. This is a very nice day trip out of traffic clogged Accra and the gardens are lovely, we are the only visitors, it is monday but even so, I am very surprised. Highly recommended.

You are exactly correct about agreeing to the price beforehand. If she is a non-pro it can be quite delicate since she may be insulted that you are offering to pay her for sex but the entire country knows that even if she is a non-pro there is that expectation of payment. Another option is to clearly state before the sex that you will give her 'x amount' for the taxi home and that way she may not be offended but you can at least agree on the amount.
If she starts complaining in the morning, just remind her of what you agreed to. Another option is to get her out of the room (e.g. for breakfast) and pay her in public. If she goes ballistic be prepared to catch a taxi and split fast.
Around 170km west of Accra lies Cape Coast and 8km further on, Elmina. Both towns most noted for their old colonial slaving forts. I stayed at some pretty run down old beach resort called Oyster Bay, just off the main highway between the two towns. It must have been a nice resort once, on the coast, big airy chalet style rooms but the air con had long since fallen into disrepair and a serious overhaul of the whole place is needed. It had a wierd "Mad Max" type of atmosphere as my travelling buddy and I were pretty much the only people in evidence and the place felt fairly desolate. Still it would do and it was only 150,000 cedis a night.
Cape Coast is a major University town and there are literally thousands of students from all over Ghana here so the possibilities are huge. I was only staying a couple of days however and hooked up with one of the said students, Sandra, I had met on a previous trip to Ghana, for a days sightseeing. We took a taxi out to Kakum National Park, around 30km outside of CC which is a protected area of rainforest most notable for it's canopy walk, a series of walkways suspended high in the forest canopy, certainly worth a visit, stunning views. We then headed back to CC and took a guided tour round the old slave castle which was fascinating, the guide basically giving us a history lesson on this areas tragic past, apparently 4 million slaves passed through this place on their way to the Americas in a 200 year period.
There is another slaving fort at Elmina which is also worth visiting but as far as I can see the town holds little other attraction.
Sandra had been invited that night to the opening of a new club called Oasis run by a Lebanese called Ali which is situated very close to the castle, an open air type place so we went along, the place was packed and rocking, great fun and many possibilities, so many sexy ladies but I was with Sandra and I knew she would look after me!
I only really scratched the surface of this town but I'm sure there are many opportunities to have fun here, I certainly did, and there is certainly no shortage of sexy available women though a little more research is still needed on alternative night spots however Oasis I am sure will develop in to a popular place, it has a great location.
Further down the coast again and around 25km west of Takoradi (I didn't bother checking this large town) and 100km from Cape Coast, lies Busua. Busua is a wonderfully laid back little town with a fantastic beach, maybe the best beach in all of Ghana and safe for swimming. I stayed at the Alaska Beach Resort, a rondavel style place with around 10 or 12 rooms and a nice beach bar, rooms between 85,000 and 160,000 cedis per night depending on facilities. From the door of my room I was around 15 paces from the sandy beach, lovely!
I was here for a couple of nights midweek so things were pretty quiet, apparently the bar of the Alaska is buzzing at weekends and women are plentiful and I'm not surprised. Anyway this was a good place to unwind, and as you would expect, the young local guys walking the beach were more than happy to introduce me to some nice female company to stop me from being lonely! And that is how I met Ramat, a 19 year old student at college in Takoradi who was only too happy to ensure I enjoyed my stay, my trouble was getting away from her when I wanted some space! Well I fed her a couple of times and gave her around 200,000cedis I think after she stayed a couple of nights and she was more than happy.
Whilst in Busua I checked out a medium sized town called Axim around 45km away towards the Cote d'Ivoire border. It has another old colonial slaving fort but otherwise is best avoided, there is nothing worth going there for though 3 km out of town is another staggeringly beautiful palm fringed beach called Ankobra Beach with a small beach resort called unsurprisingly Ankobra Beach Resort which would be a nice place to take a girl for a couple of nights, as local possibilities might be limited here.

man jailed for africa sex tourism
a sex tourist has been jailed indefinitely for making repeated trips to africa to abuse poor children.
alexander kilpatrick, a father-of-two, will serve at least five years and four months for 17 counts of sex offences.
the 56-year-old made "harrowing" films of the abuse, said judge roger chapple, at middlesex guildhall crown court.
kilpatrick, who was banned from africa and other sex tourism hotspots, is the first man to be jailed using laws to prosecute those who abuse abroad.
you plied them with meals, treats and alcohol and then you sexually abused them in the most appalling ways
judge roger chapple
he was arrested in milton keynes in a mobile home he used to tour england and where he had also groomed two vulnerable youngsters and sexually assaulted them.
judge chapple told kilpatrick his offences "are specimen accounts of a wider course of conduct representing a catalogue of manipulation, corruption, depravity and degradation that even these courts fortunately rarely hear.
"you took advantage of the abject poverty and the circumstances in which children in africa and other countries find themselves.
"you plied them with meals, treats and alcohol and then you sexually abused them in the most appalling ways."
the court heard kilpatrick transferred films of the abuse onto cd-roms before editing them, setting them to elvis songs, and then labelling them with his victims' names.
importing porn
a divorcee, he was arrested in may last year when a french holidaymaker from ghana spotted him handing out toys during his latest trip.
he was subsequently deported and flown back to heathrow.
in the uk, kilpatrick was accused of importing pornography and an international investigation was launched.
the internet is accounting for a lot of recognition of paedophile activity because of the nature of the internet itself
det sgt nick duffield
further pornographic films and photographs, some downloaded from the internet, were recovered from his mobile home.
his "obsession" with filming himself as he abused children helped police identify the two youngsters he targeted in britain.
the judge told kilpatrick he would have to register as a sex offender for life.
speaking outside court, det sgt nick duffield, of scotland yard's paedophile unit, said: "the internet is accounting for a lot of recognition of paedophile activity because of the nature of the internet itself."
he added that police had worked closely with agencies in the uk and in ghana to investigate kilpatrick's activities.
list of crimes
paedophiles who travelled abroad to carry out their crimes would "be brought to book", he said.
natalie cronin, nspcc head of policy and public affairs said the children's charity welcomed the prosecution.
"however, this legislation can only be exercised when the foreign country in question acknowledges child sexual abuse as a crime.
"the nspcc believes the law should be extended to allow courts to prosecute uk nationals who commit sex offences against children in any country," she said.
kilpatrick, himself a victim of child abuse, was now "deeply ashamed" of his behaviour and wished to apologise for the pain and distress he had caused, said his defence lawyer andrew vout.
the counts he pleaded guilty to last year included three [CodeWord124] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord124), three attempted [CodeWord124] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord124), two assaults, one assault by penetration, an offence of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, another of administering a substance with intent, two charges of taking indecent photographs of children, two of possessing them, and one of importing pornography.
they all took place between 1 october 2004 and 8 may 2005.

that guy is a ****, which is illegal in most countries around the world, let alone ghana. prostitution, on the other hand, is not.
judging by the tone of the article, the authorities seem to be far more interested in child molestors than mongers....
...as they should be. :)
fuck him. i hope that britan prisoners treat peds like they do in the usa. i hope they beat him, [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) him with a broom stick, and maybe kill him. i am all about mongering internationaly but leave the kids alone. he is owed what is coming to him.

This thread seems to have died a death in recent weeks, here's a couple of pics from my recent trip. Not the best looking girls available but they both left me smiling! Thanks for breathing a little life ito this thread. Yes, I have seen them even better looking, but I dont think they are too bad. Damn, I miss Ghana.
I met a Ghanaian lady of about 35 years online. She looks all right to me, judging from the pictures she sent me by email. I intend visiting the country in March to meet her for fun. What puzzles me is the religiosity of this lady. She is too religious for my comfort and would like to know if this phenomenon is a commonality with Ghanaian ladies. Is it to hoodwink or genuine.
It is very common throughout sub Saharan Africa for the people to be attached to their church, it is a major focal point in family and community life unlike in the west. Her commitment to her church will be completely unrelated to her attitude when she meets you. If you read an earlier post of mine you will see I also had a great encounter with a girl who had to leave early sunday morning to prepare for her church duties, she was a member of the choir!

The La Palm is not only girl friendly but actually made an extra key for my girl friend in Ghana so that she could use my room when I was at work, very nice and helpful people there.

For those who have raised concerns about the 'excessiveness' of 'religous attitudes' in Ghana and Nigeria, most Ghanaians report themselves as 'evangelical, fundamentalist, or born-again' Christians. This has been statistically supported by the World Values surveys that are conducted every few years which shows both Ghana and Nigeria as being one of the most 'traditional' countries as opposed to 'secular' in the world. Check out the World Values Survey website where you can take a closer look at the data. If you are planning to marry a Ghanaian I would strongly advise against it unless you consider yourself a 'born-again Christian'. I learned that the hard way.

Just to say I'm going to be in Accra this week (from 31st Jan - 7th Feb). If any English speaking guys fancy meeting up in one of the more exciting bars or clubs for a beer - and so as not to have to spend all the time making smalltalk with women - please get in touch.
Cheers!
Just returned from my third trip to Ghana in the last six months and must say that it has been a life changing experience for this white boy from America.
What started as a research project, that is, conducting biodiversity surveys of the remaining rainforest in Ghana, spending weeks at a time in the bush, hallucinating from the steady doses of Lariam, has become a consuming case of jungle fever for the beautiful African ladies.
Living on white meat for forty years before being struck down by the fever, I will never be the same. I don't know if I'll ever make it back fella's!
I would like to hear from anyone who has been to Roses Guest House/Vienna Bar in Kumasi, or, Paloma/Champs Sports Bar in Accra, or the Bus Stop, Accra.
Later, Ty.
Living on white meat for forty years before being struck down by the fever, I will never be the same. I don't know if I'll ever make it back fella's!
Later, Ty.I know how you are feeling as I also suffer from the same illness. I am forever a changed man, Left in August after many months there, and as time goes by the fever just getting worse and worse..
I have just read 3 pages on this link and hardly anybody is actually talking about sex !!!! Come on guys, please lets hear some juicy details about women you met, what they were like, photos etc, and less cultural / religious interest points about Ghana. This is the InternationalSEXguide after all !!!!
Really Coupe66...
Girls are not the problem in Ghana, finding a good coffee shop in Kumasi after screwing your brains out is a serious matter. (PM for info)
I should say that what I enjoy about the ladies there is a attitude of good clean fun on their part when rogering you to the limit of your endurance. With the best of them you have a near perfect illusion of the GF experience. No clock watching.. no clock at all.
I speculate that perhaps most of our members willing to make the long trek to west africa are an experienced crew, interested in good quality but rather standard services. You can get plenty of that in Ghana.
I recall a set of photos posted on this board by a guy who hauled all sorts of clothing and bondage gear to Cameroon and it impressed me as strange, but it would be unremarkable if it were Moscow. The slow place of change in clubs, bars and so on will make the postings rather slow paced too.
For those with more sophisticated perversions in mind, South America, Asia and parts of Europe might be a better mongering location. If Ghana were an anal paradise like Brazil or had soapy body shops like the Land of Smiles I am sure someone would have posted. A person with a nylon fetish would find Ghana a disappointment;-)
Of course, ymmv and anyone with detailed info along these lines is very welcome to post!
Enjoy!

Sex in Ghana is so easy that it's almost impossible to avoid it !
Had a party a few weeks ago, one of my friends (female) invited a girlfriend who struck my fancy. As it turns out, she said she was a virgin, goes to church every sunday and is a good girl. Well, a week later, she was no longer a virgin !
The point is:
1) don't ever believe anything a Ghanaian girl tells you
2) tell them you like them and all the usual bullshit and they will invariably fall for it
3) pretty much ALL girls are available ! including married ones, ones with boyfriends/fiancees, virgins, etc..
All this for the low low price of Ē200,000 cedis.
When coming to Ghana for a mongering trip, bring a used mobile phone and you will get the GFE experience of your life. Dangle the phone between your dick and the girl and you'll see how fast she'll be on your dick.
As for meeting girls, basically anywhere ! You can pretty much bed any girl you meet during the day that same night. Be a little forceful and they will get with the program.
If anyone is coming, I'd be more than happy to meet up for a drink.

Street action as in curb crawling or streetwalking? I can only suggest you go back to the very first postings in the archives and read them all to date. If you find professional street action, as seen in the US or Europe, you have reached beyond the bottom of the barrel.
Freakiest.. I will stand by my statement, a post or two down, that Ghana is not a good destination for those looking for refined or complex perversions. This is not to say that I would not enjoy experiencing a few of them.
Don't you find that it loses much of it's effect when the girl has not a clue as to the context of what you are doing and you have to provide detailed instructions?
Enjoy!

I would have to agree with DB - Ghanaian girls can certainly fuck all night but rarely do you get one that will allow anal or anything other than plain vanilla sex. BBBJCIM is however widely available and they will swallow if coaxed.

You seem to be trying to say that pretty much all ghanaian women are prostitutes. This kind of banal generalisation is not a product of an intteligent mind
[This is africa, sex is just a tool to get the objectives. western culture is totally different. try it yourself and u will understand africa
]You seem to be trying to say that pretty much all ghanaian women are prostitutes. This kind of banal generalisation is not a product of an intteligent mind[/QUOTE]
This issue was covered many, many pages back.
Posts I have read by guys in or from Ghana (on other boards) tend to say that they too have to provide some support to the ladies, in one form or another. It is expected and they complain about it! I think it must be very common for the better-off guys to have a string of girls on call. For the ladies it may be viewed as a necessary survival skill in a very tough situation.
After you have been with the same girl for a week, the direct prostitution issue gets a little unclear. You have a hard time maintaining the psychic distance required for cold blooded screwing. You begin to like her or detest her as a real person. Still, the money is flowing (slowly one hope's) from your pocket to hers. Perhaps mistress or kept woman might be a more accurate term. There seem to be very large numbers of women agreeable to this. It certainly explains why it's so difficult to escape from them if you are trying for maximum numbers.
There is very little talk here about ST costs. Everything is LT unless you show them the door.
Enjoy!
Well said DB,
The brute reality of Africa is to survive till tommorrow. Most of these ladies are feeding their extended family through prostitution. 99% of western travelers will never see the extreme conditions the majority of these ladies cope with, choices are few for most Ghanaians and especially the Liberian refuges.
Once these young ladies enter into the sex trade, become jaded, and begin their downward spiral into oblivion, only have a few years to produce the next generation to support themselves when they burnout or die.

It's funny. I live here but hardly get time to go out mongering as I have to get up early for work so usually on on Saturday night do I go out looking for a good time. Unfortunately I am quite picky when it comes to women, especially when I'm paying for it, so even though there are alot of fine ladies out there, not many strike my fancy. Aquarius is another good spot to find women. It's a nice pub near Osu run by some German ladies. Lots of white guys go there and therefore lots of ladies can be found there as well. I need to check out Busua but never any time!!!!
Oh and if you guys need a room for a short time there is this great place in Labone that has rooms for 2 hrs ranging from 60,000 to 120,000. The more expensive rooms have a projection screen and a bathroom. The least expensive have a tv and dvd player and all have a/c's. The cheap ones have no bathrooms though. All have these foam sofas that fold out to become beds and also no sheets or anything, but for 60,000 - 100,000 for 2 hours it's pretty damn good, that is if you have no where to go for a little action with your subject for the evening. It's open 24 hours by the way, and no I don't own or work there. Just passing on helpful info to fellow mongers.
Enjoy!!!!
Ken, it sounds like you do short time.
Is the taxi cost below C 200,000/250,000?

I have some pics from my last trip to Ghana but the files are huge can anyone tell me how to shrink them down a bit? So that I can show you guys what a good time I had in Ghana most of the women I met were off AfroIntroductions well worth it fantastic fucks all.

Thanks for the information guys! this women was a fantastic fuck, nice body and personality odourless tight pussy. She made all the appropriate ego boosting sounds very nice. Most were off AfroIntroductions only one or two off hems.com trust me don't mean to plug these sites, but well worth the money many cases didn't have to pay.
Not to sound insensitive, but these people are mentally I'll and need help. I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would even think about viewing any such material let alone download, etc. I guess it is very deep and psychological, an illness which need treatment.

Has anyone gone there? What's the story at this nightclub?I was there a few times last year. As I remember it, there were very loud techno style music and not so many guests while I was there either. I already had company when i went there so i cant be sure how easy it is to hook up with someone there. So if i wanted do be 110% sure to find some nighttime company I would go to other places.

I know many here will recommend to you..... the town of Bambari in CAR, but I suspect you are a first timer and need a more genteel introduction to Africa.
Might I suggest you get yourself to Oshikango, Namibia.
You will certainly find what you want there. ;-)

Greetings:
As I've posted previously, the Liberty Court hotel in Osu, just down from the Mariset Hotel in Osu, near the major crossroads of Ring Road East and Labadi Road is one of the few hotels that has air-conditioning and is clean in Accra but does not require payment of over $100 U.S. per night. Their rate is around $25-30 U.S. per night. Most taxi drivers know where the Mariset hotel is but do not know where the Liberty Court hotel is but if the driver can get you to the Mariset the driver can just ask anyone in that area and he will be able to find it. It is only a few blocks away from the Mariset. I would not recommend the Mariset at $80 U.S per night- a complete dump and rip off for that price. If you want to go swimming in a pool the Novotel will take people who are not guests for, I think, about $5 U.S.
I have now found another hotel called the AMPAX hotel located near the Asylum Down roundabout. They have clean rooms for about $10 U.S. per night and 3 rooms that offer air-conditioning at about $15 U.S. per night. Any taxi driver with a bit of questioning of people near the roundabout should be able to find it. And for *&^%$$##@'s sake, you should never pay more than $10 U.S. from the airport into the city. I can't remember but I think it is even less than $10 U.S.
For those like me, on a budget tighter than a squirrels bottom may I recommend the Aams Hotel. It's on Nkrumah circle and about Ģ5.00 or $10 per night the rooms aren't luxury but they are clean with a fan, shower and toilet. It is also near some pretty good restaurants and two banks there is also a red light area nearby. But I can't remember the name of the place Wakki Night club and a couple of others are nearby too. Pussy is plentiful and reasonable at cedis 250000 a bang.

I'm going to Ghana and am wondering if anyone has been able to buy cheap generic versions of Viagra/Cialis/Levitra etc from India that are available in Ghana. If yes, let me know what pharmacies in Accra would be selling these. By cheap I mean 50 cents U.S. per tab instead of the standard $5 U.S. per tab. In Sri Lanka you can get "Silagra" for 50 cents per tab. I was hoping to find something similar in Accra.
I was in Accra last year to visit my girlfriend. I am not (yet) showing photo's of her but I have some beachbabes for you guys.
Sunday on Labadi beach. All are available.

I've been to Accra once and Nairobi 3 times.
Both were excellent, seems like the best sex was in Nairobi, better looking, more versatile and interesting. Best bbbj in my life!
Also, there are a few more ethinic selections for my tastes. Somalis and Ethiopians are among the most beautiful, Massai, (spelled wrong) are tall and the Lua have killer bodies, they all have killer bodies!!!
Don't get me wrong here, I had a blast in Ghana and it is closer for travel. I will return next month!
The top place in Takoradi for the local Pirahnnas would seem to be a place called 'The Africa Beach Hotel' It is located near Doxcove. There are a number of nicer hotels in the Area the best of which is the Raybow.
Action starts around 7 pm and by midnight its in full swing. They usually have an overly loud reggae band playing. If You do decide to venture there be prepared to be hit upon constantly until you chose a girl.
Beer is not cheep by Ghana standards at 17,000 for a baby star.
The Girls will usually settle for 200,000 a night but will always ask for more.
Good luck and happy hunting.
And Mr Jackson sorry if my spelling and grammer are not up to scratch but English is not my first language.

Try this site: http://www.xe.com/ucc/full.shtml
In any case, this is the conversion:
1000 GHC (Cedis) = 0.1094 US$
1000 GHC (Cedis) = 0.0859 EURO

I read on a Ghana web site that you can now obtain an airport visa IF you travel from a country to Ghana that does not have a Ghananian embassy.
Huh? Is this true now?
I'm American, but am usually away from there when ready for Africa travel. Can anybody help with any info?

That is very interesting that you state how many cedis to 0.1 dollars. Its roughly under 10,000 cedis to 1 U.S. dollar.
That is very interesting that you state how many cedis to 0.1 dollars. Its roughly under 10,000 cedis to 1 U.S. dollar.Actually, what I want to know is the price quoted for the girl's service:
if they ask 200.000 Cedis, that translates in in 200 x 0.1094 = 21.88 US$, or 17.18 Euros. That is cheap!!
When I'm in a foreign country, I'm more interested in converting local prices in my currency.
When the local currency has a low unitary value (as the CEDIS, or the turkish lira), it is simpler to count in thousands.
That's the reason I quoted the exchange rate of 1000 Cedis.
Knowing what I can buy with my salary is not so important.

I do translations sometimes for the immigration service in Ghana and IT IS NOT TRUE ! GIS (Ghana Immigration Service) stopped issuing emergency landing visas a few months ago.
DO NOT TRAVEL TO GHANA WITHOUT A VALID VISA as they have been turning people back at the airport !

I can tell that u have a knowledge in photography because girls faces was correctly exposed even under strong daytime backlight.

MaxHello Max,
Look at the pictures 6 and 7. These babes are a bit bigger but still very nice. There are babes available for everyones taste.
GFE's are also no problem. Look at picture 5.
As for the photography: I have a good (8Mp) camera and I adjust the lighting to the subject I want on the photograph and not to the sky or so. Al the photo's I have posted are cut outs from photo's which are a lot bigger.
Take care,
Ernst.
Just a practical question.
If one travels individually - for tourism and not for biz - how can book a hotel from home?
I will reach Accra after 11:00 p.m. and I don't think it is save to arrive in front of a hotel and find it completly full or pray the taxi driver to provide, with the risk to get a room on $250!
Any suggestion?
I am not interested at expansive ones but at hotels such as California, President or similar.
While checking some sites for a PM to Roman Guy, I checked the weekend rate at La Palm and those theves are now asking 120 usd per night. I guess I have had my last stay there. Curses!

The Liberty Court hotel in Osu, just down from the Mariset, is good at around 25 u.s. per night and is clean and air-conditioned. Sorry but I don't have their phone number with me but you're right about trying to book something over the phone. It can be tricky but the Liberty Court is usually not booked. I don't recommend the Mariset at around $80 u.s. per night but it is at least cheaper than La Palm. Liberty Court is near the intersection of Labadi Road and Ring Road East
I am trying to proof that it is possible to attach good photos, without showing the girls face, as some do and are so proud of. I do respect everyone, even the so called streetwalkers and i think it is wrong as this guy does at the Kenyaforum. Shame on him.
From my last visit to Ghana.
I will also show some photos at the Ethiopian forum, check them out.
The last ones from Ghana.
Nice shots indeed!
It's a pity you downsized them that much so they look a bit grainy now. Where in Ghana did you stay?
Pyjama
ps: allways bring a razor ;-)
Well, I had to downsize them, I did it step by step until they were accepted to send. In Accra I stayed a few days in Osu, at the Blue Royal, then I went to Kumasi and the last week before I went back to Addis Abeba I stayed in the President-Hotel in Adabraka. Its ok for the price and you are free to do what you want.
Hello friends:
I have learned that all tourists in Cameroon must always carry their passports along in order to avoid trouble with the police! Is this in Ghana the case as well, or would be a photocopy sufficient?

Cameroon is one of the most corrupt nations in the world according to Transparency International if you check out their website. Ghana, on the other hand, does not have a 'loser' President trying to rig the election rules to stay in power. So, in short, after living in Ghana for 2 years I can say that I have never had a problem in Ghana with the police as President Kufour is trying his best to 'democratize' his nation by increasing their pay and accountability. Corruption is still there but it is not as bad as Cameroon because of the leadership at the top. If you travel using local transport with the local population your chances of being harassed are also reduced.
All shapes and sizes are available in Ghana. Here are a couple of pics of a sweet thing I had the pleasure with on my last visit, little larger than my normal taste but still variety is the spice of life, and a good time was had!

Accra, May 21, GNA - Seventeen wee peddlers and nine prostitutes were arrested on Saturday dawn by the Madina District Police Command around Haatso, Nkwantanang and Madina in Accra.
Speaking to GNA, the District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Kwabena Antwi-Boasiako said the suspected wee peddlers were arrested in Haatso, Nkwantanang and around the Madina Market.
He said some quantities of leaves believed to be Indian hemp were seized from the culprits.
Commander Antwi-Boasiako added that the prostitutes, who were hovering around soliciting for men at the Flemish and Nikkis drinking bars, were also rounded up and placed in police custody. He gave the names of the wee peddlers as Henry Nii Sodja Ashiley, Allotey Abbey, Nii Tetteh Ahene, Roland Ashiley, Paa T. Lamptey, Salifu Malik, Kwabena Noku, Paa Nii Tetteh, Razak Moro, Nabil Abdallah, Awudu Razak, Edem Ivan, Ibrahim Adowa, Ankra Charles, Issifu Issaka, Christian Tetteh Akwada and Tahira Mohammed.
The names of the suspected prostitutes, whose ages range from 16 to 40 years are Tina Amponsah, Rebecca Ameku, Fenistina Agyatey, Ophelia Agomaku, Susana Afful, Doris Omalo, Judith Tetteh, Vida Tonye and Cynthia Mensah.
There were three students among the suspected prostitutes. According to the District Police Commander, these suspects would be put before the Madina Magistrate Court prosecution on Monday, May 22, 2006.
DSP Antwi-Boasiako said, the prostitutes were chased from Accra recently and they have now shifted their nocturnal trade to Madina. He added that, their situation would be very uncomfortable, if they continued with their trade here in Medina.
Turning to the narcotic peddlers, he added that, the police would be on them day and night.
It would be recalled that two weeks ago, the Greater-Accra Regional Police Command arrested 75 suspected narcotic peddlers. Speaking to GNA by the Greater-Accra Regional Police Public Relation Director, Chief Inspector Dompreh said the police would continue to fight these criminals and that the exercise would continue to be a daily affair.

Seventeen men and nine women including a 16-year old JSS student Faustina Agyatey were arrested last Saturday during a clampdown on criminals and prostitutes by the Madina District Police Command.
The suspected prostitutes were rounded up around the Flemish and Nikkis drinking spots at Madina Zongo Junction, where they were allegedly hovering and soliciting for men.
One of the suspects, Doris Omalon, 40, on whom two male condoms were found, told the police that she seized them from her husband at Juapong when she caught him in bed with another woman.
The other suspects, Tina Amponsah, 34, Rebecca Ameku, 26, Ophelia Adjomeku, 17, and Susan Afful, 23, Judith Tetteh-Enyo, 24, Vida Tornye, 25, and Cynthia Mensah, 35 all pleaded not guilty of trading in prostitution and have been granted Ē5 million bail each with a surety by the Madina District Magistrate Court. They will reappear on June 26, 2006.
In the case of the seventeen suspected criminals, the prosecution said they were arrested at various locations suspected to be criminals' dens at Haatso, Nkwantanang and Madina Market. A quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp was found on them. They have all been remanded in prison custody pending further investigations.
And your point here is what exactly?

Also it's interesting how the perspective/focus on the incident is slightly different between the two reporting agencies.
Thanks for the question.
There are a million stories in the big city, this is one of them...
Madina Zongo Junction... Sin City... Women and wee... How did I miss it? Do I care?
The real news here is that the ladies will do some hovering. That must be an amazing skill. Think of the possibilities!
