By the rather small size of the town you will finde the hangouts at night by the sound of the music, just follow to it. Al within walking distance, exercise your stamina and by the way you do not need "Enzoy" after all.
It is a great adventure and you should practice your common sense too since you are on thin ice.
You are customer by all means, do not interfere in any argument, just watch and enjoy. Stay on the side unremarkable, interested girls will notice you anyway. Just eye contact.
Do not get drunk and stay alert at any time even in your sleep. LOL.
Plenty to discover but just a couple of nights at one place like that, safety first.

Oh, I don't know. I used to post pics of girls without covering their faces, as did many others. But over the years it seems to have fell out of favor for this concern of anonymity. But really, the only people that see these photos are us, guys who are actively mongering. The girls don't access this site, and neither do their Malagasy boyfriends or mothers or family. I miss doing it, but it has become "frowned upon" in our community so I just don't anymore.
I for one will not complain or ridicule if anyone wants to post their beautiful girls. In fact I would love to see them, we probably have some in common!
VL.If she is nude, basic rule, basic principle, common sense, you blur her face, no matter what, no matter where.
I am planning a month stay on the island. People have mentioned it would get boring. I am not much for socializing, just enjoying the environment, relaxing and having an evening guest or 2. In your expert opinion is a month too long? Would it be better to split it with another part of the country?
I came across that gem. Right now Madagascar Airlines as they call themselves now have ONE flying ATR72 to serve all destinations. Be prepared to suffer. LOL.

We're talking about domestic flights not International ones. If Quatar airlines pays the requisite bribes to the Merina Mafia they are allowed to land. Nobody touches this bankrupt airline called Madagascar Airlines. They're 70% overstaffed. Everybody knows that. Now they're looking for someone stupid enough to pay for their debt. The DJ tries to collect money from the gulf states. As Pokeris pointed out already now the few domestic flights are at least 200€ per leg. Before the lowest tariff if you booked early was around 110€.

It is amazing how a couple dozen corrupt and ultra greedy fuckers at the top can basically sabotage an entire country. Yes it would probably be a hit to our hobby (a ST is 7 euros now!? Mon dieu!) but the country has so much potential if ever realized. Many (including me) have bemoaned the deterioration of old well established pussy places but Mada never even seems to be able to get to the point where that has even started to happen. The one saving grace for the place I suppose, at least as far as we are concerned. Not sure about paying 200 plus Euro for a lousy 1-2 hour flight, even if you could book one.

Choose to fly direct to Nosy Be and stay all your time in the new "Pattaya of the Indian ocean"; High prices, hard core professional girls, mediocre food, plenty of package tourists same as on Mallorca's Ballermann. But that is not Madagascar.
Choose Tana if you can communicate in French (plus basic in Malgache. And from there take your time with very long and painful trips on Soatrans vans through the red island with adventures everywhere. Cheap. Mada-style, Mora Mora.
Yes, you can also hire a 4 x4 with driver to roam along the 2000 km roads of the island But the total price for the slow ride on the bumpy roads is at the end equal to the high flight prices.
With the parliamentary elections in Madagascar on 29 May, is it a bad idea to visit around this time or it should not affect us visitors going about our business?

Avoid Tana and major towns. In the provinces you should be ok. Avoid government buildings. Follows local news. Be prepared to stay indoors. Stock up on drinking water and food. Have enough credit in your phones. If there's unrest everything and I mean everything will be closed.

Which is pretty much just what he said in the paragraph directly above the one you quoted.
Or you can fly to Tana, go to the bus station, and catch a taxi brousse. It's very doable, but you have to travel light.Did you ever go by taxi brousse from Tana to Tulear or to Diego? I assume not --otherwise you would not make this silly and painful suggestion. Cramped in between sweating folks, vomiting kids, baskets with chicken alive, roads bumpy like a test track for Abram tanks and that for more than 24 hours.
Even cheap charlies I not wish that masochistic treatment.
So far I have done Fianarantsoa. Tulear, there and back and Tamatave. Tana once and Manakara. Antsirabe.
No pain no gain! Haha, so I could do it again.
The real pain in the ass, the killer was the night travel for various reasons, especial in and out of Tana to bee avoided by all costs. Day travel, I would bee fine again for long distance too but I can not see the point in it anymore. Therefore on my next travel I would split it up to max of 4 hours drive per day in the morning.
Do the deed as authentic as possible in various unknown places.
The day bevor departure I would again by the ticket, always at the official shop and avoid the touts. I never had any issue with the luggage. Several times I made contact to girls in the taxi Brousse. Great fun.

First of all, in all my long distance travel by Taxi Brousse there were never any animals in the bus among people, except me, LOL. Pets are in general stored on the roof in baskets. Again and again I was astonished by the personal hygiene even by old people no smell at all. Asides, the flexibility of these old people too left me often astonished.
Travel plans by Taxi Brousse in progress, I never would consider a inland flight. Hey folks, what do you want to experience again?
Pimps have always existed. What drives the prices are the customers.
Over paying because they are on a power trip boosted by their corporate budget, I mean $1000 for a HJ, and then tipping on the top of it.
In Thailand, meany bars are owned by few Westerners, using another westerner to run the bar. The true owner shows up at the end of the month and collect.
Look at Thailand now. Thailand is full of Aussie, Pommie or US pimps charging you bar fines for farm fresh. Lmfao. Some blokes go there to wife the hookers.
I mean when you pay the bar fine, you should fuck the pimp too. Pimps are the main reasons sex prices in South East Asia getting inflated now. All you need is some sh*t see*nt thinking there is a business opportunity to exploit. As sexually deprived men, we are taking sh*t from everyone. We take shit from governments, we take shit from women empowerment, we take shit from UN giving a minimum age for sex and cockblocking us. That's not all. Making lab viruses and asking men to wear rubber and we feel nothing. Making the rubber mandatory (Germany for example). Now, these blood sucking ticks who call themselves bar owners (pimps) inflating the prices of affordable sex, media discouraging men upon buying commercial sex.
Straight men are getting cucked. As every animal, we should have sex. It's a basic need. As much as it sounds funny, it is the truth. We don't have a pride month. LOL. There should be a unified front against these forces.

Travel plans by Taxi Brousse in progress, I never would consider a inland flight. Hey folks, what do you want to experience again? There are classes of various taxi brousse. The more quality ones like Cotisse, using a Merc Sprinter. You can book some long distance connections on a reserved seat. But then, going nowadays from Tana to Fianaroatsoa or Tana to Tamatave in about 14 hours due to the poor road conditions is even in that vehicle no fun at all.
But the majority of taxi brousse are small Mitsubishi vans from the time of the G-day landing in Okinawa. All short distance connection you must use those cattle carriers with 12 or 14 folks sitting on 9 seats -- and yes, there you find the chicken on your lap and the kids eating, drinking and whooops. Spitting over you out of the window. Great fun for a masochist. Casse toi une jambe.
Not to mention the camion brousse. A truck with a bench, no windows. Go figure. I did it Ambilobe-Vohemar years ago when the road was a mud path, booked the 2 seats in the drivers cabin for 2 days. An adventure but not doing it again.
If you want to avoid the silly prices for domestic flights, there are more and more small operators coming up, offering fixed trips form Tana to Diego, Mahjunga, Ft Dauphin. In a big SUV not carrying more then 5 pax. The fare is still cheaper then a flight but driving in a reasonable comfort at least. You can find them on Facebook.
If you give infos then please do it with correct facts. Not boasting like a Birkenstock tourist considering it fun to visit the shacks of the very poorest farm workers and then reporting how great he did.

Soatrans, Cotisse, Cassy car VIP etc. To me that's not Taxy Brousse, they play in a different league. First of all you pay more, but its well worth it for various reasons. Modern nice cars, buses. Best choice for in and out of Tana just because of the starting points, often separat locations. Fixed timetable, fixed choice of seat. Stopes at nice restaurants. Aircon etc. You name it. No pets. You will meet Vahazas for a nice talk but you will not hook up with girls nor will any of them massage your dick for 20 K or show you private videos on the mobile. Ok for long distance.
Note, if you book Tana. Tamatave and drop off in Moramanga you pay the hole distance. No big deal anyway.
Taxi Brousse is the public standard, starts at Taxi Brousse stations. You like it or not. You will get what you were asking for. Can bee great fun ore a pain in the ass. It is a must, once for long distance too. Best for short distance, like max 2 hours.

All this back and forth about taxibrousse reminded me of hunting. LOL Especially around the weekends. You'll see aloooot of nice ladies returning and just take numbers don't talk too much cause there will be plenty. Most of them students understand what's going on just don't make it obvious at first.
It's just one venue but a real golden one.
BTW, someone mentioned MANAKARA I think it's on the east coast and should have some of the prettiest girls there. Can you share your experience on MANAKARA especially the ladies? I met them in Fianarantsoa as college student and they were amazing. But not sure if I was lucky or if most MANAKARA girls are that sweet and pretty.
1. (Most important) I loved Nosy Be and I had a great AirBnB right on the beach about 100 yards from Tatie Chris. It was a 10 minute walk down the beach to Ambataloaka. The main issue was that the power was out 6 of the 9 nights I was there. I spent 4 of those nights in other hotels that actually had air conditioning. Is that unusual? Or should I plan to have bad power and just book the (much more expensive) hotels with solar power.
2. How bad is the rainy season in Tamatave and Nosy Be anyway? Do the girls just not go out much during rainy season? Is it absolutely a must to wait until rainy season is over if my trips are limited to 2. 5 weeks at a time?
3. What's the deal with Mahajanga? Some of the hottest girls I met in Nosy Be and Tana were from there. Some of the hottest chicks that I've friended on FB are from there. Is there much of a mongering scene or hotel infrastructure there?
Hi,
I'll be in Antananarivo in few days and I'm speaking on Facebook with these 2 ladies very sexy.
I'll stay in hotel Urban and I plan to spend 1 night with these girls. But separate! The first night with one and the second night with the other.

You do realize that Tana is a city of a few million right? The odds of anyone having seen these 2 particular girls are slim to none. And Muzungufotsy is correct. If you don't know that 50 euros is a stupid amount to pay then you most likely have not read a single page of this forum. The girls are going to love you! The rest of us I suspect not so much.
Do a little research before you land because if you continue on your current path you will end up being ripped off endlessly. Good luck.

Hi,
I booked the Grand Urban Hotel in Antananarivo for 3 nights! Do you know this hotel? On booking, there were good comments! I just booked the room without breakfast! I paid 135 Euros for the 3 nights, which is less than 40 Euros / night for a 4* Hotel.
Anybody was there before? What do you think of this hotel? I booked a room for 2 people. Do you think I can bring any lady without problem in my room?
I speak with many girls on facebook and I the like to bring 1 different girl per day in my room.
So probably 3 girls in 3 nights!
I can read on this forum the best place to find girls in Tana is in Taxi be? Or Mansion?

They have a decent restaurant and a rooftop bar, you could even meet nice girls there on Fridays LOL. It's a few yards away from Irish pub and Red club. You won't have any issues bringing girls to your room.
Taxi be and Manson are definitely the most popular places to get girls but I would also try Irish pub / Red on Fridays or Saturdays. It's always packed on weekends and it will be closer to you.

Never stayed but you should be aware that a hotel that claims to be 4 star in Mada is probably nearer to 2! And you need a little help with your arithmetic. 135 for 3 nights is 45, not less than 40. As for GF, almost every hotel in Mada is.

And a question of my own. I recently saw whilst looking for places one called Cocooning Hotel. Aside from the somewhat weird name, anyone got experience with this place? Reviews are very good, price as well and location too. Seems too good. Anybody stayed? Seems like not too far from Irish Pub.
Well I don't know why they ask you this price! Because I'm just speaking with Ally and she asks me 100 euros per night! I know it's a lot for this country! But when you see how sexy she is, I prefer pay little bit more and have great sex with a model than to pay small money and have ugly ladies.

OK you have officially gone from foolish to just plain stupid. There is absolutely no reason to pay this chick (or any other in Mada) 100 euros a night. I am guessing the post below deleted by admin said something similar but in a far less polite fashion.
Seriously mate you are doing this all wrong.
1) get off plane.
2) get taxi to hotel.
3) head to glacier (mutts mainly but always available) or Taxi Be (all kinds of girls from ordinary to very tasty).
4) back to hotel with girl.
5) fuck your brains out.
6) repeat.
Any more questions?

100 euros for this girl in the photo is just nonsense. You will easily get the same for 60,000 or 80,000 ariary (12 to 17 euros). Afterwards I understand her. She saw you coming. There is a sucker born every minute!

Stable internet, aircon, backup generator and a dip pool. The rooms are kind of unusual being staggered on 3 levels. BUT do not try this place if you have mobility issues, the route up to the units is up about 50 stairs. Altho it is peaceful with only 4 rooms. Not super cheap but worth it for a couple of weeks.

At the beginning, I want to greet everyone. I read more than 100 pages of this forum before I went to Madagascar. It was my three-week trip. However, I believe that some of you may have fallen behind on the latest advancements in technology and internet applications. When I arrived in Madagascar, I only spoke five words of French, but that was enough for me to get by and meet many girls. With new applications, you can effortlessly chat with people using instant translation. I made contacts on Tinder, Badoo and just asking girls on the street for directions.
It was the same situation when I travelled in Thailand and Indonesia. Even in very rural areas where no one spoke English, I could still connect with girls easily and had no trouble meeting girls later on in my room. So, I don't understand why you all say that Madagascar is any different?
During my stay, I went out at night maybe just three times because I had met enough girls during the daytime. So, I didn't need to go out looking for more, and I can't really describe the nightlife or how much girls are asking for now. For me it was quick caffe, ice cream or one beer date. After it straight to the room or next day meeting was already at my place. No money talk just some taxi money after around 5-10 k.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I decided I want to explore more of Madagascar. I've already booked a ticket for September. It cost me £667 for a round trip: 7 weeks in Madagascar and 3 weeks in Nairobi as a stopover.

At the beginning, I want to greet everyone. I read more than 100 pages of this forum before I went to Madagascar. It was my three-week trip. However, I believe that some of you may have fallen behind on the latest advancements in technology and internet connections. When I arrived in Madagascar, I only spoke five words of French, but that was enough for me to get by and meet many girls. With new applications, you can effortlessly chat with people using instant translation.
It was the same situation when I travelled in Thailand and Indonesia. Even in very rural areas where no one spoke English, I could still connect with people easily and had no trouble meeting girls. So, I don't understand why you think Madagascar is any different.

Where did you go in Madagascar? 3 weeks in nosy be?
What your feeling about the nightlife? It's nice?
How much cost a girl? Are you do threesome?
Did you feel safe during your trip?

Nice, Thank you for your report.

What your feeling about the nightlife? It's nice?

Did you feel safe during your trip?I've been to Tana, Moramanga, and Tamatave. I spent a few days exploring the area on a motorbike during the daytime. I would not ride at night, for sure. Was it safe? Yes, during the day, I felt safe. At night, I went out three times and felt the same as in Nairobi town center at night—better to avoid walking at that time.
I did not visit Nosy Be, and I'm not planning to do that on my next trip. The nightlife and pros put me off; it's much better to use apps like Tinder and Badoo to get some numbers from girls I met during the day. Despite my zero French, it was actually fun to get their numbers. On Tinder, I got more than 50 matches with girls I liked, and only one refused to meet because of my nonexistent French. Badoo was very similar in matches. Overall, I spent time with 5 girls who spoke decent English and 10 with communication through an AI translator (it's very quick to respond). As I like to meet with girls more than once, I did not have time to meet even half of the contacts I had. Many girls are very disappointed but are still sending me messages and want to meet in September.
Nightlife—well, I am a techno and trance lover, so nightlife there is super boring for me.

Yeah it's possible but a major pain in the ass. Pokeris is probably the best example. Been several times, (almost?) no French and he always seems to be balls deep somewhere in Mada. After 100 pages of reading you may have noticed that many on here are not exactly big tech fans and prefer meeting and talking to girls face to face without some bloody electronic interface! If you have no internet, as often happens in Mada what the hell do you do? Sign language?
I have to wonder what you do besides fuck. There is bugger all to do in Mada most of the time and most places and you don't go out at night. I go out every night, even if I am not necessarily looking to get laid.
As for Mada being different, I guess you didn't get out much (oh right) or travel extensively, especially to smaller towns on smaller transport. In fact did you leave Tana at all?
Lastly I am glad to hear you managed and you like it enough to want to return. One thing you may want to think of is what you pay. Most on here on their first trip usually overpay, sometimes ridiculously so. I am amazed that out of 20 plus girls you didn't get one complaint with a 5-10 K gift. Even for Mada that is dirt cheap. Perhaps the fact you were after "good" girls not in the game is the reason but I'd say you lucked out!

Yeah it's possible but a major pain in the ass....-I've travelled through whole Thailand and Indonesia without knowing Thai or Bahasa Indonesia. Add to that Taiwan, China, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia, and I had no problems. People there don't speak much English, but I managed just fine with my fancy phone And even if there is no signal you can still communicate. Even this you don't know how to use.
-After reading more than 100's pages of this topic, I found that most of you are old-fashioned. You don't know how to use new technology. Instead you wasting time and money for taxis from one place to another and another. And then beers in every place. So at the end you already wasted and desperate and then choosing last possible option which is usually not perfect, sometimes overpriced too. So I decided to share with you my own experiences and perspective on traveling and meeting girls.
- I was out a lot though only in 3 cities. Apart from the obvious, I enjoy things like coffee, good food, gym and exploring new places on foot and motorbike (good for getting numbers from non online girls). I'm a bit of an introvert, so I'm happy by myself. Even when there's not much to do, I always find something interesting (I can watch rocket-science on YouTube for hours I've been traveling since 2010 and usually avoid talking to other travellers. I spend my time alone or with local girls. Small talk with other travellers bores me after a few minutes, I know that you guys from the west loves to small talk or thinks its obligatory but for me is like a torture.
-For me, it's all about the experience. My first trip abroad was similar, cash for sex. Then I realized that is not fun at all. Dating is much more exciting, most important don't show off, very basic. Just ask girl what's her favourite local restaurant and eat with her there noodle soup for 40 thb each, invite for a caffe to nice local place (cheap) not a Starbuck. Good attitude, smile, open the door for her, grab hand and this stuff works so fine that even when I was in Pattaya I score gogo girls too (mind you its not easy, last time over the week in pattaya I just had 2 girls, I prefer other places like Udon, Surin, Khon Kean or Surat Thani and Trang in the south. Other Asian countries, very similar. Taiwan was a big surprise how easy you can get a girl there. Now I decided to check Africa.

Madagascar is bit different, good meal can cost as much as a st.
I have athletic body, blonde hairs and blue eyes, age 42, but on my tinder is 32 and girls don't doubt it.

The girls hope for a long term relationship and ultimately a ticket to the promised land. And he's a traveler not a tourist. Still. These girls have to make a living. I pay 30 k to 40 k in the provinces. 50 to 60 k in the major cities. 5 to 10 k is ridiculous. Have some decency. I'm 60 now. Working on my Sixpack. LOL. And on my eBooks. I'll travel Africa and Madagascar in particular perpetually. I've done so the last 12 years. Internet? Yeah some girls have money. I'd guess 10%. Those who have lycee or students. The other 90% in La Brousse? No phone at all.

Doesn't everything! It looks like you are a fan of pussy, but not so much with those who are paid for it. I have to ask, why do you gallivant around the world looking for it? It sounds like you have looks and game and have little trouble making the right connection but prefer to get laid outside your own country, whichever one that is. Seems like a lot of time and effort, not to mention money.
For myself, I have neither looks nor game and don't even consider women in my own country because I know at my age (63) no matter what I do no beautiful (or even plain looking) 20 year old woman is going to fuck me much less look at me. Hence my trips abroad.

It is a lot of fun. I love traveling, and I enjoy meeting girls while I'm on my trips. I treat them well and still keep in contact with them. Don't you know that what is close to you can become boring after a while? Girls from my country are looking for stable relationships, which I can't provide. I think I've skipped the age when I should marry and have a family. Now, it feels like it's too late for me for that.
As from Europe, in July and August is the best time to book an get the pest price from any airline. For just under cheap 800 Euros, Ethiopian got me again. The Ariary as low as ever in my experience.

I am assuming that is a round trip fare. Where to where? As in departure and return to which city / country?
You will likely get transferred through Milano and Addis Abeba. Arrival time is mid day, big advantage to Air France which arrives at mid night.
On the other hand note, board entertaining-system is as poor as the food, as a reward you will get much better treated in Mada.
Competition works, there some other companies on the market next to Air France were food and general service is exzellent for around 1 K Euros. Still cheap anyway, compared to the good old days.
As from September, Emirates is flying to Tana via Seychelles.
Forget fucking horrible Ethiopian Airlines.
Forget fucking horrible Ethiopian Airlines. If one can not cope with that, one may better stay at home at all, since a lot of food someone will be served in Mada ist below that standard.
Or, it saves you 200 Euros in the first place you after that can invest in the Madagascar entertaining-system, LOL. That's about the equivalent 20 nights HD-high definition, more than some old buggers can handle anyway.
Means for some chicks for free. LOL.

Overpaying losers like you are the reason no one will have puss_ey to eff in the future. Mada currently has 4. 5 economic growth rate centred around tourism industry. It is expanding and growing. So girls trying to take control over men. Specially old losers. I have seen these business owners promoting bars in Youtube. Soon this will be Thailand and all the disgusting trends will follow. With that being said. Never overpay gentlemen. Bargaining is the key. Short time 40 k - 60 k. Max 80 k for models if they truly worth it. Just because women take sassy photos doesn't make them models. It only makes you losers. I texted a girl on FB. She is asking free money. Not from me. Happy hunting gentlemen (not the losers).
Well I don't know why they ask you this price! Because I'm just speaking with Ally and she asks me 100 euros per night! I know it's a lot for this country! But when you see how sexy she is, I prefer pay little bit more and have great sex with a model than to pay small money and have ugly ladies.
I prefer less sex and quality than lof of sex with ugly girls!
Someone giving these women free money. You don't know the monsters you are creating. If you are taking a service, then only pay for the service. If they ask money for nothing, just walk away.
I just contacted the girl from last trip, no contact since I left last time. The deal again is 50 K per day, home stay with entertainment. Sort of Breakfast and snacks included. Last time we went to Colbert and various other places like LE Glacier too and she got happy. Well I paid, well invested. We went to the zoo were she knew a lot of details to tell about, clever and educated as she is. Just told her I will show up in Dezember and perhaps for five days, its a businessstrip again. On my side I just know her Name and address, location. And kind of family and status too. LOL. She seems to have a part time job but likes LE Glacier too were I felt like a trophy with her in company, but we go t not approached or greeted by other girls. Anyway, thin Ice to be considered at all time.
As I see below, a new Mada expert is borne.

Short (not the losers). They did have a good time in the past, just look at the hotels and general infrastructure. It can bee easy dated.
There are some projects in recent years with no big impact so far.
Like the cable car in Tana or the stadium, the seafront in Tamatave and so on.
As for prices, each his own kind of spending. Note short time is 20 K and long time is 50 K, by the way short time in the afternoon can be longer than longtime over night since the girls are often early riser.
A lot of money spend, finished with delay. And the practical purpose?
In the first place they have a constant power problem. If it runs, by its capacity, it does not make any significant difference in reducing the traffic problems of Tana.
Its a silly image project in the end. Mada will not change for the better, for what some think it is the better. No, it will slide more into the swamp.
It will stay just more or less the same I guess. Any long eye contact with a smile is a promised fuck, for something in exchange.

Tinte my man, this is rock bottom. I seem to recall you don't bang hookers so you are quoting "gift" prices for "good girls". Maybe in the boonies but hookers, especially in Tana are not all going to be happy with 20 K. I dare say I would happily give 30 K to a girl who rocked my world for a little while. And 10 K is literally nothing to most of us.
There is no simpel answer to that question I guess in the first place and there are more than fifty shades of grey to it.
A real nasty hooker from LE Glacier you will agree to 80 K in the first place, will not perform and by her experience will squeeze a other 20 K out of you.
I am looking for the opposite.
LE Glacier becomes more of asozial meeting point with other mongers to me.
Sometimes there a some Diamonds in the afternoon.

If you are, then your stated conclusion that a pure cash approach leads to disaster is at odds with your "shades of grey" sentence. A cash approach MAY lead to disaster. It has happened to all of us, well maybe with one exception. On the other hand damn near every single guy on here who deals in purely cash has had fantastic experiences as well, or they wouldn't be here!
And nobody but noobies pays 80 K to the washed up skanks in Glacier. If they do then they deserve to get burned.
LE Glacier becomes more of A sozial meeting point with other mongers to me.
All the shades of grey are present, no pure white or black. Or shall we call it highly cash approach? LOL.
Anyway each his own budget and for some 100 EUR are peanuts anyway. Easiest way to make look like a fool I'm Mada? Well one old French told me once: be generous! And it will appreciated by the people. There are other way to be generous including that cultural diversity exists and should be considered.

Personally I don't like ethiopian but still flew with them 2 times as I refuse to pay over 800 eur return. The flight times are a bit longer as it stops in mxp milano if you're coming from eu. The food I had was always bad to borderline acceptable. The airport in addis is a typically cheap chinese building not that big but has a smoking area which is good. Got ripped of my lighter there once as well which is annoying so bring matches or know your way around this.

No difference in price. Turkish is not that exciting. Via Mauritius. Ethiopian is still ok. If you're lucky one way around 500€ from major EU Airports. The times of 600€ return are over. Calculate with a return ticket flight price of 900 to 1300€. So 1000 Euro return are already super cheap. Now Ethiopian raised flight frequency from 7 to 10 flights a week. Kenyan can be cheap. Relative. I used it to Paris. Air France forget it. The old days with super cheap promo prices pre COVID are gone. I know it. I never paid more than 650€ return. Not in high season of course.

Greetings. I was in Nosy Be last summer, loved it and plan to go back this summer. Last year I had also planned to go to Antananarivo but never bothered as the Nosy Be girls latched on to me and after a week I was managing a small harem sleeping 3 or 4 of us to the bed every night (+1 on the couch). So I thought I had a good thing going; plus the airfare Nosy Be. Antananarivo was like 300 (euros so I just stayed put and did not see anything else of Madagascar other than nearby beaches and some offshore islets.
Can anyone suggest me a good place to go for a few days away from Nosy Be and see / do something special in Madagascar? Preferably within a day's riding distance from Nosy Be or direct flights. Safety and electricity supply for at least some part of the day are concerns.
Thanks.

There is only one place within a days drive of Nosy Be and that is Diego. It is (was?) a nightmare journey in the past. I do not know if the road is better now. Plan on leaving NB early morning arriving Diego in the evening. Otherwise flying looks a lot better looking at Air Mada website for fares but until there is concrete info on whether new aircraft are operational all of those schedules may just be window dressing and cancelled constantly.
I always go to Philippines (Angeles city) and Thailand (Pattaya) but now officially retired at 70 , going to Madagascar staying in Antananarivo for 1 month, then Nosey Be 1 month.
Met a girl on tinder who will stay with me, and will rent apartments via airbnb.
Can you get the blue pill there, and do the chemists sell it or do I have to buy on the street?
I don't wish to overpay so what do you guys think I should give to girl for 1 month service, I was thinking 200 euros?
I only know a few basic words in French so it's my idea to have a girl who is bilingual who can escort me around the country.
I do love French cuisine, so looking forward to eating in the French restaurants, something I cannot do in Philippines.

Thanks.Depends on what you want to see. For the national parks in the northern area like the Amber Mountain park you need to hire a 4 x4 for a few days and it will cost you easy 200 EU plus.
If you are in internet dating, then start searching Ambilobe. This village is half way to Diego at the junction to Vohemar and got an ample supply of girls looking for vahazas. There is a nice hotel, the Kozobe. 2 or 3 days can be fun. If you have more time, take from there a taxi brousse to Vohemar on the new road: wild long east coast beach and also lonley girls, bored to get fucked by the locals for no reward. However, French language is a must plus some words in Malgache will open their pussies.

My answer to both: Just as expensive as you make it.

However, French language is a must plus some words in Malgache will open their pussies.During my stay, I did not need to learn any French. I used Google Translate and ChatGPT, whichever was more convenient at the time. Literally, only one girl refused to meet because of my zero French skills, but she was looking for a long-term boyfriend anyway. Just go prepared—download French, Malagasy, and English translation apps onto your mobile, and you will be fine.
It's helpful to familiarize yourself with some basic phrases in French and Malagasy, but don't stress too much about it. The technology makes communication surprisingly easy.
I know most of you are old, but seriously you advice is old dated.
I just finished my mongering holidays in Tana, Ambilobe and Nosy Be after 3 weeks!
17 girls from 18 till 25 years old in 3 weeks! No condom! Only bareback!
I was in 4 differents hotels in Tana, because I brought in my room too many ladies and in the reception of the hotels they don't like that to much! I was in Grand Urban, then Hoteln Colbert, Hotel Louvre and Radisson Service Appts!
Most of the girls I fucked, I found them on Facebook!
My best lady was Allyah, she was the first girl I fucked when I arrived Tana, and the last girl I booked in Tana for my 2 last days before I go back Europe! Ally is the best for sex, she's expensive, she's obsessed with money, but if you're ready to pay her what she wants, you can fuck her bareback all the night if you want. I think she'll leave soon Madagascar, because she made her passeport, she wants to work in Dubai like an escort! She'll go there with her girlfriend I was lucky to fuck too. We spoke on facebook first, and she told me we could meet in Red Tana nightclub near Radisson Hotel where I was. So we met in the nightclub with her girlfriend! I think she wanted meet me and speaking with me first before we go my room. So I met her with her girlfriend in this nightclub! Everybody knows her there! She's very famous. After 2 drinks with her, I started kissed her with tongue, and then she directly asked me 200 euros to fuck her bareback! We finally agreed on 150 euros. She proposed me a trio with her girlfriend Florencia but I told her for the first night in Tana I only wanted to fuck her and I fucked her girlfriend just the next day for 100 bareback too.
These 2 girls were the best during my trip, but I met other very sexy ladies too in Nosy Be like Angela, Sonia or Elvanna!
I think Madagascar is a very poor country, but girls really love to fuck! Like Elvanna told me, she loves money and sex too much! She told me if can have both, sex and money it's much more better!
And what is great in Mada is girls never ask you to wear a condom! So you can fuck all of them bareback and creampie them if you want. They love that!
I think you can fuck all the girls you want if you ask them in Madagascar! Even if they have a boyfriend, they ll come fuck with you if you ask them and give them money. The minimum I paid was 200 000 AR till 700 000 AR.
When I was in Ambilobe, I was in a nice hotel, the best one of the city, and the waitress who work in the bar of the swimming-pool is very sexy. She told me she works there for 6 months and earn only 300 000 AR. I asked her if she was OK to fuck with me if I pay her good! She asked me 200 000 AR and of course I said yes, and she came directly to my room at 1 am when she finished work. We go a great night!
Anyway I go a great time in Mada, and now I will change girls and I'll come back Pattaya next month in August for 1 week!

Yes some advice is outdated. The "must know French" from years back is no longer true. It is, however damn useful and you don't need a phone or the internet to use it. Amazing! You have been to a grand total of 3 places, all of them aside from NB the easiest places to get to on the easiest route in the entire country. That's essentially no different than going to Bangkok and heading over to Pattaya. Let us know how simple Mada is when you take that taxi brousse to Vohemar and travel up and down the east coast. Then you can give the "old" guys advice instead of the other way around.
Anyway I go a great time in Mada, and now I will change girls and I'll come back Pattaya next month in August for 1 week!We hope you never comeback here anymore!! You are the first one this subforum who manage overpay 10-15 times more than going rates for a girls.
Stay in Pattaya as no one is interested in reading about how you overpaid the girls for zero reason.

Then you can give the "old" guys advice instead of the other way around.I feel sorry that you had to go through all of it, and now younger guys get everything so easily. Well, everything is changing. I managed to travel through all Southeast Asian countries, including China, Mongolia, plus Russia, so traveling through a French-speaking country is a piece of cake for me, and for others too. So please lets change topic already. French is no needed anymore in Mada.
Greetings.

Greetings.Of course you can travel through Mongolia without speaking Mongolian. What you use is a lingua franca which ist good old plain English. IF you can find someone to speak it. If you're a traveler you'll find your way around. You can travel through Ethiopia without speaking Oromo or Amharic. You can travel through Madagascar without speaking french or Malagasy. Will it be enjoyable? No. I learned French because half of the African continent speaks french. Just easier to get by. If you decide to settle in Madagascar that's a different story. The administrative language is French like it or not. If you just come to baise than Fair l amour is enough. The reason why Kenya or Uganda are popular is simple. Everybody speaks English.
My 2 cents.

However, I believe that some of you may have fallen behind on the latest advancements in technology and internet applications. When I arrived in Madagascar, I only spoke five words of French, but that was enough for me to get by and meet many girls. With new applications, you can effortlessly chat with people using instant translation. .Don't feed that troll. Translation Apps are doing their job. But to talk to people with an App you will just find the fallen apples. The sweet ones without worms inside are high on the tree and your app won't be able to climb up there.
Yes, short time bitches can be got to your room. But after one hour, the girl will feel bored to entertain a robot and not a human being. For some simple minded guys it may be good enough.
I look forward soon again on wine and dine with young ladies of style at La Varangue, plaisanter les uns avec les autres, la faisant se sentir à l'aise et mouillée, attendant ma langue pour lécher la chatte. Ohhh. You will say that your machine can translate it. Right. But menawhile I already gave her an orgasm -- go figure beauf.
To insist that speaking French in Mada is no longer necessary (after one short trip) is simply wrong!
Likely, that's all not true or are you jealous of the big cash he spendend?
Anyway, as for me Mada will become better and better.

To insist that speaking French in Mada is no longer necessary (after one short trip) is simply wrong!Don't worry; in September, I'm going there for two months straight! It will be nice to prove you all wrong again. My goal is not to pay for any sex. I'll be staying in basic hotels, nothing fancy. So, as you can see, any "glacier type" girl is not an option for me and I'm not an option for her.

For this money I can fuck any good looking escort in London UK, well maybe not all night and with condom but still don't understand your excitement. Nothing in your report is useful just palm face all over.Cause the Madagascar girls are hot. They have a unique look. I've been there once but didn't do mongering. I want to go back for a mongering trip until the novelty wears off.
There was a hot bartender at my hotel showing cleavage. I wanted to make a proposition but didn't know if it would be wildly inappropriate LOL. I didn't know about the clubs. Hopefully I can go to clubs on Tana and find some good looking Malagasy girls.
Waouhhh! So many comments! And I feel people are angry I pay so much! Well I'm not Quasimodo like you wrote! I'm nice boy, good-looking, slim, I'm 40 and girls love me a lot! When I see the situation in Madagascar, I was in Tana, Nosy Be, Ambilobe, Diego, Sambava and Antalah, I used the taxi-brousse and planes and I can see people are so poor! So I'm glad to make girls happy with my money. Anyway for us europeans, to pay a girl 200 000 AR or even 400 000 AR, it's nothing! And seriousely, if you want high class and sexy girls, who are between 18 to 25 max, they don't go with you for 50 000 AR. Most of the girls go with 200 000 AR. And if a girl is nice and ask 300 000 AR it's not so much, and I'm glad to make her happy!
And I can say, that when you're nice and generous with the girls, they love to stay with you and they don't use you.
Most of the girls, I found them on Facebook! It's very easy, some french sponsors who are totally in love of their girls, want to show everybody who is their girlfriend / Wife and they post so many pictures of their girlfriend, so I love to contact their girlfriend directly, and they always answer me to meet me! In 3 weeks I fucked without condom 11 girls. Girls don't use condom in this country, and they really love to fuck and of course get money!
But for the men on this website who say they fuck girls in LE Glacier or even Taxi-Be in Tana, I totally believe them when they say they fuck for 10 euros all night! But I was everyday in LE Glacier or Taxi-Be to check the girls, and sorry but girls are so ugly there! If you want sexy girls, better to find them on facebook, or even in the streets or in the hotels directly when they leave their customers! I did that twice, waiting girls leave their customer when I was in Radisson Hotel in Tana, and they came my room directly!
Please stay in Pattaya and never set foot on Mada again. Or change attitude and approach. Because in your looks you must be Quasimodo, wearing singlets and sandals with white socks, using translator to communicate with them so that the girls did asks for that ridicolous amounts to fuck you. Depends on what you want to see.
Thanks gentlemen,
Diego Suarez sounds more interesting to hang out and actually was thinking of going there but the airfares are like 250 euro each way. Are they cheaper if bought in Madagascar?
As to Ambilobe are there bars? Other things to do other than stay in a room with girls? For that I can just stay in Nosy Be where there is no chance of running out of new girls to fuck?
What about Hellville? Is it worth going there at night? All my nosy be fucks advised me against it, but I knew they were just trying to stop me from meeting new girls to replace them.
Thanks in advance for any further tips.

I'm nice boy, good-looking, slim, I'm 40 and girls love me a lo!If girls love you a lot they go with you for 20000-30000 k ariary short time and 40000-50000 k ariary all night at small towns like sambava, antalaha or ambilobe and you can add like 10000_20000 ariary more on the top for bigger towns. Your biggest mistake the girls smell you are newbie and don't have any clue that you was doing. Smart guys never ask how much the girl want in africa if he don't want get silly price from girl he just give right amount himself (prices mentioned above) in the morning or if you are less expierenced and fear to have drama from a girl and going for hard pros (like (ally ah facebook) at tana or another ones at nosybe just offer your price before but never ask how much she want!! You are not smart to pay all this amount even you has been told the going rates before. I guess all this girls you pay crazy amount is laughing on you now in their mind and brag their friends how all they hit jackpot first time in their life with you! I even don't get suprise if you sending money for them now without reason just want to be nice guy!! As we never heard on this subforum someone can be some naive like you. Some not smart guys overpay 2-3 times (its already bad) but I never heard someone manage overpay 10-15 times more for a girl (till now) .

No I don't use nothing. But when you fuck high sexy ladies who are 20, you just want to fuck them all night and creampie them! Nowadays, most of the men who stay like me in Hotel 4* want fuck bareback. The girls are totally aware of this, and they take advantage of it to increase prices!

Why vasectomy? Do the women get pregnant with the intention of going after the man? Can they do it?Some dudes do not give a shit about it or are just plain to stupid to think about it. But again each his own.
Be reminded, the HIV epidemic has reached Mada years ago. Some outdated numbers do mean nothing. Officials do start campaigns in Mada to create a awareness too.
I did witness, followed a case were a guy impregnated a massage girl and the following year she made a claim on him. First he had to pay child support, wich is aktual a clan support. She refused to let the child be taken to Europe but agreed to the father after he continued to pay " clan support " . The child lives now in Europe. No, I do not think that is a common practice in Mada.
I do simply not support the Theorie of other members that a additional child is not problem to the mother, even received from a vahaza makes it worse in my point of view. No that's is not a easy accepted circumstance by the clan in Mada it therefore is rather big problem. Take also notice that the ethnic Groups still exist and still not mingle.
An last, who wants to think about his own blood might be running around in poorest conditions in Mada? Just a dam XXXX. Each his own.
It's typical writing style of a Central Europe language this ending with exclamation point. Indeed it is annoying as it transmits the feeling of an overimposing way of talking or addressing to people. The excessive use of it related to other things.

One god thing in Mada, any antibiotics like Doxycyclin and Azithromycin you get free of prescription for cheap, especially in Tana. Get your self clever what to buy! Street vendors will try to sell you condoms, that tells you something by the way too. But you better take your own brand in needed quantity with you.

Where should I stay?

Thanks for your deep intel. You choose wrong time for flight to nosybe there is carnival going at nosybe and thousands people travelling here to look for it at this time. If you go saintie marie stay in town near the pier somewhere like hotel Amora or hotel freddy. Yes there are girls but 50 or 100 times less than nosybe. Its no taxibe here but have couple of discos which open just on weekends I think but its nothing special. If you not need non stop fun everyday with 1-2 new girls like nosybe and you can be happy with couple new girls in all week saintie marie should suit you!!

I already know Tamatave, so not in my check-list.
My flight back to Europe is 18 August, so no time to spend going anywhere by car. Therefore I need to leave Tana within 2 days. I have return flights for Sainte marie or Morondave, to stay 6-7 days.
My only activities here in Tana is taxi be, manson, restaurants, and fuck a different girl every night. It sounds great, but doing this repetitive procedure everyday for 12 days is already boring hahaha. I miss girls in bikini on the beach.
For 1 week, would you choose Sainte marie or Moramanga?

If you are flying then I can assume that not ALL Air Mada flights are unavailable or cancelled? Just trying to understand what is going on. I looked on Kayak flights for that Tana to NB flight on the 15th and the only one that came up was going via Ethiopian Airlines! For a measly 1000 euro.
Hard call between St Marie and Morondava. I found both to be boring as hell with little to do in either. Probably better for girls in Morondava but aside from that well you've got a beach but you will not find many bikinis on it! Sane as St Marie. Some beautiful beaches but the only bikinis you will probably see are those of a few backpackers and a couple of local girls that came with their short term boyfriend from Tamatave. Honestly I would rather repeat Tamatave than bother with either of the other 2. On the other hand if you have never been to either at least it will be new to you.
Good luck and let us know how it goes whatever you decide.

I'll report, as usual.
Any advice for a GF good hotel, ideally beach front and near nightlife?
Every now and again girls and Vahzas alike will ask you about your travel plans for the next upcoming days.
I would advise you, always tell them the opposite, wrong plans. What for they need to know it? I do not know.
Think about it for your own safety.

Kudos to this brother for his efforts. A 21 page PDF guide. Downloadable.
Any comments from Mada Seniors about the accuracy?
Dear fellow Mada mongers and experts.
I have never been to Madagascar so far. But after reading this forum, it seems that I have missed out something. 😊.
My mongering experiences so far "only" cover SEA (Thailand, Phills, Cambodia, Vietnam, .), South America (Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile), the Caribbean (Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica) and Africa (Kenya, Togo, Ghana, Sierra Leone) . And now I plan to extend it to Madagascar.
I will travel to Madagascar in October this year. But only in an organized tourist tour. And I will try to engage in our hobby as much as possible (I hope I can sometimes sneak away) . But after this trip, I will plan a pure mongering trip to Madagascar. Maybe in early 2024 . Let's see.
So as I first step I RTTF. 😊. I copied all reports (from 07-03-23 to 12-31-20) to a word document (time frame 2 and a half years, more than 300 A4 pages), read it, marked the important information, then condensed and categorized it, and finally re-edited it to a kind of "mongering guide" (did only a "copy & paste" of relevant textual passages).
I would like to give kudos to all who have contributed to this forum. Especially to Neddy69, Pokeris, Amadeuss, SouthEaster, Golfinho, Bienenstich, Albert9989, ChocolateHuntr, Roaming Viking, NamasteParis and others. Really appreciate all your efforts and information.
I hope you are not pissed, because I copied your texts and violated somehow your "copyright" . 😊.
Anyway, I have attached a copy of my mongering guide here. Please feel free to use it and share it to other fellow mongers. For the benefit of all of us!
I thought that after all my efforts and work I have invested in the last days / weeks, it would make sense also to share my "results / product" here within our community.
Of course, I do not take any responsibility for the correctness of the information. But I really carefully copied the information from all the reports. And yes, the information was sometimes a bit contradictory. But still I think this guide can be helpful for the new kids on the block.
Please keep up with your great work / further reports (I will also do so, after my return end of October) and always stay safe!
Cheers.
Dars Veider.

I visited M. Last time in 1988- but "I got the kick"-
And I still hope to return.1988? You won't recon it anymore. Mada changes fast, in particular the main tourist areas NosyBe and Tana.
However, if you travel the provinces and keep yourself off the mainstream, then you still will find the "flair" of the old time.
In the past I did advise for various reasons not to change money on the streets in Tana, there you should smell the rat instantly. On my last trip I did have such a cool perfect run that I did listen to the boys at Ivato parking lot. The thing they told me is that they could only change Euro notes, but no coins which they got donated by nice vahazas. Is it not sweet? Having just had a great week without any trouble I thought of doing them a nice favor in return. They got me.
The scam is that you give them a 10 EUR note for the promised coins and by the time you counted the 8 Euro in coins the boys will have disappeared in a miraculous way. LOL.

I'm back from a stay in Morondava.
The 'Allée des baobabs' is really beautiful. Go there around 4:30 pm, and stay there until sunset, which you have to watch at the beginning of the alley, near the parking, where everyone is standing.
Above all, stay another 30 minutes after sunset, and don't do like everyone else who leaves right after. The sky lights up, turns yellow, orange, then red around 6:15 pm.
This remark is valid for any beautiful sunset: stay another half hour, you won't regret it.
I visited all the hotels in Morondave. The best is the palissandre, but 200€ (1 million AR) per night!
The best value for money is the Laguna Beach, which you can negotiate to 300 K / night. Beautiful swimming pool, clean rooms, good bedding and deckchairs facing the sunset. Good restaurant too, apart from the frozen bread at breakfast and the uncooked pancakes (on one side only).
Best restaurants: Bleu Soleil at number 1, with tables on the terrace facing the sea (with the very pretty daughter of the boss, who comes to help in the evening, tall, thin, but engaged.), then far behind, the Corail which looks like a warehouse hall lit with cold white light.
Chez Jean LE rasta: meh. Average food, not the atmosphere as written everywhere, and Jean hardly smiles, he always seems angry or preoccupied.
As for girls and entertainment: I didn't see anything, although I looked, walking everywhere all day and in the evening.
Remarkable in Morondava: 100% safe. You can walk alone in a dimly lit street at 4 am without any problem. I was told that a colonel had established safety in the city. I don't know if he hanged the first bandits on the town hall square, but his methods are effective!
In short, stay in Morondave for 2 days, time to see the baobabs, and lemurs at the Akiba resort. And go there with your girlfriend.
A very good taxi that can take you on a day trip for 380 K (1 to 4 people): Serge 034 38 616 74.
Airport. City center: 40 K.

I spent a few days there last year and had similar impressions. I ate at Blue Soleil twice and it was quite good. I don't know about this time of the year but the terrace was so windy you were worried it would blow your food away! Jean La Rasta way over rated. Overpriced and underwhelming. They had the most expensive beer in town that was also the warmest!
It is odd that it is quite dead and quiet at night but even at 2 am there are a few people wandering about, doing what I never found out. Few girls about and of those few lookers. Not a bad idea to bring your own girl but I seriously doubt I will ever go back.
Thanks for posting.
Age of Consent vs Age of Majority
=============================================
Greetings Gentlemen,
The Age of Consent is the age in which girls can participate in consensual, non-commercial sex with their teen-age boyfriend without said teen-age boyfriend being charged with statutory rape.
However, the Age of Consent is irrelevant to the members of this forum.
What you need to focus on is the Age of Majority, which among other things is the age in which they can vote, get married, enlist in the military, and participate in commercial sex activities.
Please exercise caution and govern yourself accordingly.
Thanks,

Any tips to avoid going all the way to Tana?
What I see from the map, I could get to Fianarantsoa or Ivato and there take a transport to Morondava?
Anyone been doing this? Frankly I have enough of long trips after 26 hrs in Cottise.

I think (memory hazy on this one) that there used to be a connection Tulear. Morondava - Tana but that was years back and with the current fleet size (2?) I doubt if it still in operation. As for 26 hours I am assuming Tana to Tulear (actually pretty good for that route!) going back it's going to be even longer and more uncomfortable, especially to Morondava. I went last year and it was 18 hours tana to Morondava. Just fly mate. I know prices are just stupid but overland is just a world of hurt.
BTW, how was Tulear?

Anyone been doing this? Frankly I have enough of long trips after 26 hrs in Cottise.Forget the maps. Most so called route national are either pothole filled or don't exist. You book Cotisse Tulear-Tana and get off in Finarantsoa. Stay there over night. Then book Soatrans or Cotisse to Antsirabe. Get off in Antsirabe. Stay another night and book any transport to Morondava. There is a pick up spot for Cotisse. But you have to pay all the way Tana-Morondava. That's the only sensible route over land. Unless 4 x4 from Toliara or Taxi Brousse as far as Morombe. And then by boat (boutre) from Morombe to Morondava. Adventure. LOL.
Or the easy expensive route. Flight Tulear-Tana. Then flight Tana-Morondava. Flights to Morondava are full most of times and expensive because of all the lemur tourists visiting the alle de baobab. Flights should be back to normal almost. 2 ATR72 are serviceable and one Q400 from sorry l south Africa on wet lease. 2 more ATRs should come on stream in the next months. Flight prices are back to normal.
Soon I'll land on Ile rouge. My home.
Kaisa.

BTW, how was Tulear?I will not fly, not going to pay this crazy money for a flight. I have still 5 weeks to go.
Tulear, feels safe. Not very but safe. Didn't do much nights out. Just twice, one with a girl from tinder. We went out to La Rose, small THB 4000, very good price for it. Had a one beer each then we back to my hotel, she asked for pus pus in the morning, gave her 10000, happy girl want to go out tonight with me again. Last night I been to La rose its a very popular place with locals, very crowded. After I went to TAM TAM? Not sure the name, this place looks like only for working girls. Found there one young Andrea with very big tits. It was already like 2 am so we chat for a bit, she speaks little English and we went back to my place. She talks to pus pus when I asked her how much she said that don't worry I will pay and she paid. Very lovely girl, woke me up at 8 am for a second round and then go home. I gave her for pus pus 20000 she seems fine, sent me msg asking when we meet again.
Other girls I found on tinder, this mixed feeling. Two very nice, had sex and them just ask for pus pus return trip which is 4000. Other two we met talked a bit but zero connection so them just came and left.
As for girls in town I did not seen any very pretty but once. She smiled to me but was on bicycle and I did not react in time.

Jesus mate come on. Maybe they actually were happy with 4 K but would it kill you to give them more? I know you don't like paying for it and you are an even bigger cheap charlie than me (which is saying something!) but that's not even a dollar! I'm shocked you gave one 20 K. Now I know why you can't afford to fly. Good luck on your Morondava trip, although I think you will need more patience than luck.

She's in her early 20. First meeting we met at coconut stand, there was some benches behind. She brought a friend, I bought coconut for each. I did offer her to cover pus pus cost, she refused. In the meantime there was a couple in the hotel I stayed. Young Malagasy with a old French guy. She must seen me entering my room, and next day she knocked to my room midday. Zero English, so we chat through google translate and in 5 min she already manage to take her top off, then we had sex. It was very quickly though I could see she's in rush. Next day same story. No damage here.

Good attitude. As long as girls are happy and call you back, you are on the right way. No need to talk money when they don't want to. Why would we, if everything is fine? Often times, they just need a boyfriend that can listen, and provide good feelings, good room, good food, and good care. I believe such Mada men don't exist. That's what they all say!
And sadly, most men think that money can replace all the mentionned list.

Anyway I'm in Tana now, been 3 days in Fianarantsoa. Got a dirt bike there and been driving around since morning till evening every day. Very beautiful surroundings!
City itself nothing special but very safe, been walking at night without any problems. Did not see any nightlife, too tired for it, but from second day I had fun with a hotel owner.

But it is not the norm. Certain not in Tana, nor in Tamatave or Tulear, where you will easy face a drama in the morning after wich spoils it all. It is the old question again either you fix or not fixe a price in advance. Or you get a good feeling of her motive. In one or a other form they all look at you as a walking cash machine and right they are. The girls take you home, perhaps the boyfriend or parents sees you, no problem! Price is around 100 k including breakfast, depends on the room size. Food is poor, go outside. Rooms are top an location too. Laundry-service available. Fiana is a rather hard nut when it comes to mongering to me, down the road some karaokes got closed. The open ones were empty. Playtime is daytime, were I got success.
Receptionist? To me it was the doorman, as I watched the street life he offered his service insistent to me. Minutes later a car drove by with five rather not my type girls in it. I kindly denied the offer. Not my style.
Hang on, ho is paying the driver, the doorman? No pimps in Mada! - dream on, gentle people with Flowers in the hair? LOL. And yes, I could have asked for the price tag, but there were it becomes to a insult.

Guys any useful tips on Mahajanga? I just arrived here. For various reason each gets different experiences. Long story short: A girl told me once in the end " the girls of Mada are all prostitutes". Prior to that I did have a great time with her, she even introduced me to her girl friend. I never gave them any money, I only payed for food and drinks. She was great in bed. Eventually she told me she needs 7000 Euros bribe to get a job at the court of justice, she was a student, graduate. All the relatives, even those living in France could not finance her. I refused and that was the end. She cursed on all vahazas and if she could she would have killed me.
This post probably belongs in Pattaya thread but I am going to post it hete anyway.
I have been planning to visit Mada since before Covid but has not happened yet.
So I was walking by the beach road not really looking for any girls and this black girl calls me up. Normally I would ignore non Asians in Thailand. But this girls demeanor was so pleasant, I had to stop by. When she told me she is from Mada I was happy to take her if nothing else to chat.
To cut to the chase she rocked my world and I can't wait to get to Madagascar.

I don't know if you are taking the piss or new here. French is the language aside from of course Malagasy. Many on this board will tell you not to even bother without it but it can be done. Not everyone speaks it fluently, or at all but it's your best bet as a foreign language. You will see / hear less of it the further you get from the major cities, but somebody will speak it.

It is so easy to travel here, you can sort everything with English and google translate from time to time. Girls are eager to chat with you as well even they don't understand any English. What's really annoying is a hand writing in almost all restaurants. That is the only thing what is bothering me here, first it is hard to read and when you finally recognize the letters than you need to translate it.

Waouhhh! So many comments! And I feel people are angry I pay so much! Mr G, don't let the haters get you down. You can do what you like with your money. Its the same the world over. In Angeles City, Philipines, guys are complaining that Koreans are driving prices up.
Its called a free market, people charge what someone is willing to pay.
If Bill Gates gives $10 billion to cure disease in Africa people think its great. But if a tourist gives $100 to a hooker in Africa because her mom is sick people call him stupid. And at least the tourist is getting laid.
Personally I care what I do with my money, not what others do with theirs. And I dont think places like Madagascar will be ruined by high spending sex tourists. Why? 1) Its pretty far from high income countries and relatively hard to get to. 2) People are scared of HIV in Africa. 3) They speak French.
Dont get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with French, (I speak it) but the fact is that most of the world speaks English.

Yes English is rare, but some girls do have some rudimentary, particularly in the high trafflc places, Tana, Tolaira and Nosy Be. And even if they speak no English, you can get along with just the smallest amount of French. Learn some key words and phrases. "Tu es belle. " while giving a soft caress to the arm or neck. "Mon hotel?" while pointing to a taxi or pousse-pousse. That will pretty much get you a girl for the night, LOL. And pretty much everywhere you can find fixers, all men, that speak good English. And you find the right one and they can find girls for you, if you are either half lame or feeling lazy.
And things are changing. I spend a fair amount of time hunting on Facebook, and it more and more there are very professional looking model types, and scammers showing up. But not all glamorous girls are scammers, many really are learning the social media model gig. Also many girls using Tik Tok, which is huge now. And I think expected cadeaus (literally gifts, your fee) are going up accordingly. In Nosy Be I am starting to feel the most beautiful girls are now out of reach, in part because there are some very rich men moving in, both tourists and expats, and scooping up the cream of the crop. That is relatively new in Mada. Of course, I am also getting older, and probably am no longer considered a prime target for the hottest girls, LOL.

The question remains, what drives the girls to that behavior. I do not need to know, because it works like that.
On the other hand I wondered why I never have seen a couple exchanging any emotions, hugs or kisses in open public. And by the way, there is some Mada porn in the net and that could tell you something.

Does anyone have a hotel recommandtion for ile st marie?
I probably looked at every hotel online so far but 72 k is the cheapest I found so far. If there is one in 40 to 60 k range ot even lower than that ID be happy to hear about it.

Anyone arrived recently who can tell me the current cost of a 60 day visa? Euros or USD doesn't matter.
Cheers.
I've been in Africa for 29 months now without having been home. Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe. I've been exerting the visa rules for tourism, officially you can return when the whole 12 months have past, meaning that when you entered the country on January 2024 and stay for 6 months on your visa / extension you can re-enter the country on January 2025 for another 6 month stay. Like this technically you'd only have to choose 2 or 3 countries for a year round vacation.
However everybody on the board seems to be on the same quest / journey as I am, choosing a different country every time. First of all of course I want to get to know Africa to see what's on offer but then what? Choose the 3 countries or keep on going round and round?
I haven't really read any posts suggesting that someone is in this final stage, everyone seems to be country hopping just like me.
So on my first trip I wasn't handing out morning after pills. Three girls called in pregnant, I got abortion scammed, thrown into prison. 2nd was all street girls and no phone numbers so everything went fine. Then 3rd country someone called in pregnant again, this time scared about what happened last time I just changed my flight and jumped ship. 4th country again another one called pregnant, decided to completely ignore, didn't even text back. I survived the remaining month this time.
Like I read an article in Lusaka where a man was held responsible for the pregnancy and had to pay a fine, of course for us this means jail time since we might "escape".
The first pregnancy I took her for an echo (big mistake, never get involved in any way). Turns out the date of conception was suspicious, hadn't seen her in those 2 weeks. Another one the girl seemed on her period when we had sex since she was still bleeding so again suspicious. Part of me thinks it's vengeance for underpaying just like the fights I got into in that period of time. On this trip I really start to get my prices right, no more fights, no one called in so far. Of course I won't put down over 10-20 USD (depending on the country) for condom sex with a SW but Tinder girls raw you better add some.
Anyway wetter it's underpaying or scamming or genuine pregnancy (doesn't mean it's yours) they really put the fear in me for going back. These weren't one week trips, I was there for 4 to 9 months.
Is this the reason the rest of the board keeps hopping countries? Are you just still on your quest like me?
I'd like to hear, especially if someone is already in the stage of settling down.

I'd like to hear, especially if someone is already in the stage of settling down.As you found out. You have to be able to jump ship quickly. One of the rules is never get too cozy. Only rent. Always have your passport and emergency funds ready to disappear. Most pregnancies are scams. That's part of the learning process. Well. To settle. Get to know the country real well. Build high quality contacts. For example police generals so you don't end up in jail. Learn the local language. Never buy property. Always consider total write off. Even me I'll continue to travel. Once in a while you should also Detox in Europe or the US. I found my Paradise. But where I'll be 10 years from now? Talk to long term expats. They have all stories to tell. Just a couple of days back a Briton was murdered in Mombasa. Maybe better change location every couple of months within the country.

Is that really the case? All African countries you stayed has this poicy? I know if you do visa runs from the Philippines you can re-enter next day and start the cylce. If this is true then it sucks. On top of that the retiremet Visa in countries like Kenya is about $2000 US a year. Ruto just increased it last April from KSH 100k to KSH 250k

Mostly this problem is solved with a suitable donation to the immigration retirement fund.

But libido went up 10% mentally because of peace of mind.I can't even believe a forum for people who like sex goes silent after a post like this. I remember a guy like you on the Thailand board who was advising people a castration all the time who got a lot of heat over it.
So I decided that the board members must have a complete lack of knowledge of what a castration is and means for your body.
Of course you won't be able to get a woman pregnant after a castration. Yeah. But at what cost?! Don't take a castration because you think you have a disease being horny all the time. We are a race of monkeys sharing 98,5% of our DNA with Chimps and Bonobo's.
-Watts (2007) reported a female Pan troglodyte Chimpanzee at Ngogo mating 65 times with 17 different males in a single day.
-Male Chimpanzee's have up to 20 times sex per day.
-Lions mate up to 100 times a day! No joke! Strong like lion haha.
-Ancient Greeks in their bath houses and many female slaves had sex up to 12 times a day.
Monkeys ejaculate in seconds, lion intercourse takes place under a minute. We are meant to enjoy it a bit longer hence also the lower copulation rate.
First of all the largest part of your love for a woman is because your semen wants to burst of your nuts. I'm sure you know that moment right after you ejeculated and for just a while you don't really know why you're still there anymore, you lost interest. He is right that after a castration you will still be able to get an erection and in your puberty the male brain got it's prime directive programmed in namely sex. So you'll probably still be looking at women, wanting them, getting erections but oh man. When you're with her it won't be the same. You don't have semen anymore, you're brain will be wanting them, you'll be enjoying sex, but the heat, you're reall love is coming from those seeds wanting to burst out and part of you doesn't understand why you will be having sex anymore. YOU WILL BE DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR AFTER A CASTRATION!
Second of all when your testosterone levels drop below 300 nanograms / dL you have yourself Male Hypogonadism. This is a serious illness causing:
-Anemia (blood disorder that happens when you don't have enough red blood cells).
-You'll be fatigued all the time.
-You won't be able to build muscle in the gym anymore for sure, athropy.
-Increase of body fat.
-Sweating.
-Reduced libido.
-Erectile dysfunction.
-Weakened immune system.
-Low sperm count.
-Osteoporosis and decreased bone mineral density.
-Depression.
Might I add that Male Hypogonadism patients with HIV seriously need testosterone injections to boost their immune systems in able to fight the disease?!
Either this guy is a complete lier or he is on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapie) getting regular testosterone injections. Ain't nobody still going on an exhausting vacation in Africa visiting bars every night after having his nutz cut off. You'll be too damn tired! NO WAY!
However all the testosterone in the world can't restore your love, your sex drive since you don't produce sperm anymore and the best part of your love making is because those seeds want to burst out. Again you will be damaged beyond repair.
So maybe this guy was a Male Hypogonadism patient even before he got his nutz cut so having them cut didn't really change the way his body perceived having sex. Post castration testosterone levels are 50 ng / dl! Male Hypogonadism is when your levels are below 300 ng / dl. Male power athletes like sprinters and weight lifters might have up to 1000 ng / dl. If you went to the gym in your youth and you were able to build muscle naturally you'll be towards the upper end of the latter. When you have high testosterone levels towards a 1000 ng / dl having a castration will destroy your feeling of love let alone that you just ran into a wall falling into a pit of weakness, sickness and depression.
Now I want to talk about a female dominated western civilization and the indoctrination that comes with it. Literally 99% of males above 60 years have too little testosterone and all the problems that come with it. Western doctors are willing to give us a little testosterone only just enough to lift you above the 300 ng / dl Male Hypogonadism barier. Meaning a lousy 250 MG shot every 3 weeks. A bad joke, a crime against malehood. Worse they refuse to give us the necesarry shots of HCG which keeps your balls producing sperm, making men on TRT feeling like they're castrated, taking away our feeling of love. Testosterone is a steroid, all steroids stop your body from producing Testosterone itself and hence also stop your balls from producing sperm making you feel castrated.
Penopause, also called andropause, is when guys between 45 and 60 start getting testosterone deficiency problems. Lots of elderly are on TRT. For as long as you can you will have a better life. Of course most men feel humiliated about it and will deny at all costs.
Testosterone is a steroid just like Dianabol and Anadrol. These steroids were invented to help people with Male Hypogonadism and Anemia. Burn victims benefit during their recovery from the increased production of collagen which improves your skin and accelerates the recovery.
If the state made the use of testosterone and steroids mandatory the health sector would be levelled. In combination with the use of HCG our society will no longer be able to carry our sexual needs and plunge into female "slavery" which I personally feel would be more properly called social behaviour of women. Thus we are being witheld these essential medications, we are being lied to in every possible way. I'm personally on a little more than just TRT past 40 and it made me strong and healthy again, you won't see me laying on a bed with flew or corona.
Testosterone does not just play a key role in the development of male reproductive tissues such as testicles and prostate, as well as promoting secondary sexual characteristics such as increased muscle and bone mass, and the growth of body hair.
-Testosterone increases the production of collagen, giving you thicker, better skin, making you look younger and heal faster.
-White blood cells absorb viruses, low testosterone causes Anemia, meaning low red blood cell count and also low white blood cell count. Hence testosterone is THE KEY FACTOR in your immune system.
-Low testosterone will increase cardiovascular issues, while increased testosterone will improve the blood supply to our tissues, for example Testosterone will lessen the early adverse cardiovascular effects of chemotherapy.
-Testosterone therapy is prescribed to older men living with HIV with testosterone deficiency.
-Testosterone therapy makes patients better surgical candidates.
The stories that testosterone will get you cancer. Modern experimental data deny the carcinogenic effect of steroids. It's all female indoctrination and a health sector which is going down if we were all treated properly with steroids. Testosterone will give you heart attacks on a later age?! 70% of elderly above 65 years have heart and cardiovascular issues. Testosterone increases cardiovascular growth and if you get a heart attack at that age it's because you got a heart attack.
In nature animals fight, not because they want to feel dominant but over sex, a high rank in the chimp colony means all the best picks, the salmon needs to swim upriver to mate where most will die. Etc etc. Strength, Testosterone is nature's design. It's not because the strong need to survive, it's because the healthy need to survive. Testosterone is health, the highest chance to fight of diseases. Western indoctrination starting as early as the egyptian pharaos where the first religious scrolls date from 2300 BC. Nowadays farmers shoot their cattle up with antibiotics and steroids to keep them healthy. Man's first farmers from the Neolithical period ending 2200 BC knew they had to select the strongest males to keep their flok healthy and free of disease, just like nature's design. Early rulers like the pharaos well knew this made them secondary candidates towards having offspring reducing their divine status. Pharoas are know to have had up to a hundred children. Hence the inforcement of religion upon us for centuries for a large part to reenstate these rulers their divine status. Don't ever believe Testosterone is bad or unhealthy or will give you cancer, it's female empowerment, western indoctrination, a health sector that wants to make money and these people are legion.
My two cents on the topic. Don't get a castration. Go on TRT past 40. If you want your balls to stop producing sperm you might as well go on steroids and skip the HCG shots. Never get a castration.
I'm personally heavily upset on the subject, in a severe fight with my "doctor" back home. Not going to respond to any further replies.

There's no rule to reenter. You can jump in and out of Kenya for example. Or Uganda. Or Tanzania. Nobody gives a rats ass. This is not Brazil. Where the 6 months in 1 year rule is enforced. But. If you try to live on serial tourist visa you sooner or later run into trouble with Kenyan immigration. They can deny you entry. Mwalimu. You can't wave around your 20 buck bribe at airport immigration or immigration headquarters. Africans don't call the cops easily when it comes to bribing but if the immigration officer does you're in serious problems.
Easy bribes are with local customs or police officers. Low end officials. One on one situations without third parties involved. A traffic violation, shouting at a cop, not carrying your passport. Immediately solve it on the street by offering them some cash. When third parties like victims are involved and you end up on the police station more parties are involved, you may try to settle with the cops and the victim by paying them cash. Paperwork will have been made everybody is involved, it just got expensive. If immigration refuses to drop the charges and settle on your big friggin police bribe you won't get away with it.
You can have your tourist visa of 90 days extended by another 90 days. No more. Why not? Because more people are involved. You have to exit the country through the airport, hell you might get arrested. You can't bribe immigration beyond the 90 day extension because this is going to cost him his job. Of course you may try when he denies you the legal extension, at that point no third parties are involved. There will be no questions.
I doubt anyone here has ever tried to do Kenyan border runs multiple times. You don't know anything for a fact before you do. Is there even a visa on arrival for your nationality at the Kenyan land border? If you need to obtain the e-visa border runs are impossible.
What I know for a fact is that I used to do border runs way back in Thailand after they denied my extension in Laos. Beyond this you could go on a border run every two weeks without limitations. These visa run companies have bribed Thai immigration allowing them to have dinner in noones land and immediately return. After a while I was like damn I can do these visa runs cheaper alone and I got burned. They don't allow you back in before you spend at least a day and a night in Cambodia. I now committed a crime by returning to Thailand without obtaining a Cambodian visa first, my Cambodian visa was hence also denied and I was fucked. This was when I was first taught bribing, I denied the Cambodian immigration their bribe and was forced to go to Phnom Penh where this time I got away with much higher bribes to police and immigration to get my visa and passport back.
So yeah you can probably bribe border immigration and even customs. If there's no regulation towards how often you can cross the Kenyan border in a year you will be able to stay indefinitely just like the good old days in Thailand. However you will need to stay a day and a night with the neighbours before returning. Meaning an exhausting 2 days travel every 2 weeks. Hell go visit Uganda for 5 months.
This all depends on wetter or not your nationality requires an e-visa. If you do border crossing will be impossible beyond 6 months. Low end bribes really won't help you. And these bribes really only work if they can get the paper work done making it look official, within the rules. Like you got back to soon, he denies you entry, now you can try a bribe.
Good luck!

Good luck!I'm a US citizen. As one I can get a 5 year multiple entry Visa to Kenya online. "The Kenya 5-Year Multiple-Entry eTA is an electronic travel authorization that allows US nationals to enter Kenya multiple times within a 5-year period for tourism, business, conference, work, or medical purposes. Travelers can enter and exit Kenya multiple times within the validity period. " Obviously I wouldn't need to obtain the eTA (evisa) every time I reenter for 5 years. The big question is will they impose the 6 months in 1 year rule. I was looking for info on the web everywhere I couldn't find any. Also some countries in Africa have Visa on arrival such is Zambia and Mallawi. In those countries the 6 months in a year rule will be enforced? Based on what some veteran contrubutors are saying the awnser is NO! Please anyone who knows more about the 6 months in 1 year rule and has experince let us know!
Visa regulations for Mada have nothing to do with other African visa.
Thanks for the scientific explanation to it, ho wants to read that all and does understand it all by the way?
With common sense short cut; in real life I sometimes wonder what the smoking beer belly Boys mean when they talk and brag about a good sex session, LOL. And yes like in sports with some chemistry one alike can cheat his body for a wile and does some more harm to him in the long run.
Eat healthy and do sport on a regular basis, wach your weight, easy to do in Mada. To me each time in Tana I was doing a walk up to the Rova and around the lake Anosy. I was eating less than at home, kind of fasting and I lost 5 kilos and my sex drive went up in the same way with no chemistry at all -.
It was the talk about a vasectomy for good and not of a castration. Two pair of shoes to the author by the way if he does not know!

No guy gets a castration for safe sex so they can not make babies. "Nutz cut" means I had my tubes cut NOT my balls removed. My cum volume dropped about 3-6% which is basically the seed. I mentioned this because many guys think that if they get a vasectomy that they are shooting blanks meaning nothing comes out when they cum which is not true. If I had my balls removed (castration) my cum volume would be 0% which would be a 100% volume drop. I said I had "both ends of my tubes burned closed". You do not understand what that means?

Hi,
Retired with 2100€/ month I will come to Mada in April to review different locations to settle for my retirement. After reading a lot of posts I short listed Diego Suarez and TuléAR.
I would like your comments on: are 2100€ suffisant to settle? I mean covering all costs including medical insurance (I am French) .
Regarding our main activity I will rather try to select non pro or semi pro obviously paying some bills to remain a good prospect not having an exclusive relation.
Your comments will be very appreciated.

Read as from now Mada newspapers online, go there in April, travel round to places which you feel may fit you (beach or inland), get in touch with retired expats and visit them in their mediocre houses, check the hospitals (if there are.), experience the poor infrastructure -- then fly back to your home and think deep about it.
Your place of good living is where your friends are. A stranger abroad remains a stranger.

Are you sure you survive the hot season which starts now in Toliara? Up to 40° in the shade. A lot of french people settle in Diego. I prefer Tana. Perfect climate. Only drawback is the traffic and the pollution. With regards to your pension. What you want to do with such a lot of money? Here there's a lot of destitute pied noirs and Ex legionnaires living on 500€ a month. Health insurance? Forget it. At the doctor you pay cash. There's good Facebook groups. The french are well organized on this island.
Have fun.

A question only people who never did live overseas do ask: . Because its not about money today only.
For most of us it is a good place for a time out, nothing more. Go to the places where expats meet, listen to their talk, watch the attitude. Is it you? Yes, than do it.
At the very moste to me, I saw stranded disillusioned looser and just a few with the feet firm on the ground wich have a Business and more to spend than 2100 EUR a month and travel home on a frequent routine.
But again to all it seems to be a hard living there. Your guy to answer your question is Neddy69, looking forward to his opinion, based on his experiences as a new resident malgache.

Your place of good living is where your friends are. A stranger abroad remains a stranger. You can't blame him. He is looking to retire in Africa and wants to be on the safe side. If you look up the requirements for retirement visas of African countries, then it's obvious where the confusion comes from. Uganda is asking a minimum value of $3000 US per month from pensions or social security income. Kenya and South Africa are asking a minimum of $2000 US. At these minimum monthly income requirements, some may get the idea that Africa is expensive after all. The few YouTubers who are based in Africa are also not doing a good job of being boots on the ground. Africa for the outsiders is confusing and misunderstood. There is a reason why it's off the radar for most retirees.

Same now with the brilliant idea of the Kenyan government to introduce a digital nomad visa. Everybody laughs. Why would I pay taxes. Popular work arounds are though not recommended by me. Get married. A better option is become a man of the church. There's a lot of curiosity corrupt churches which provide the necessary paperwork. Works well in Uganda and Tanzania for example. Be creative. Start to study. Get a students pass.

A couple of points. With 2100 euro a month you will be living the life of luxury with a few caveats. As already mentioned unless you dig your own well and have your own generator there is no way to avoid the power cuts and lack of water. That power is also essential in a place like Mahajunga or Tulear in the hot season for AC unless you are acclimated to or love summer temperatures regularly over 35. Also addressed is the lack of medical care. The running joke here is you do not want to go into a Mada hospital because you may not come out! Your best option (and you can probably afford it) is medical insurance that includes emergency evacuation to your home country. At the very least upfront cash for a charter. Yes several thousand euro on hand immediately to get on a plane and get the fuck out to La Reunion. The other option is do what most do. No insurance and take your chances. Better come for a long look before you decide.
I noticed the last dozen pages had little to do with sex, I plan on visiting this country in February 2025 and I will do a extensive guide on street walkers. I speak very little French and can't say not one word in Malagasy. [Deleted by Admin]. I might get my membership activated so I can post some good photos.

Yes several thousand euro on hand immediately to get on a plane and get the fuck out to La Reunion.Several thousands?? That would be for a private jet! Air Austral offers return ticket from Tana to St Denis for around 500 euros. But that's already very expensive for a short 1h30 flight.

But that's already very expensive for a short 1h30 flight. You consider this as tourist. Put yourself in an emergency, sick, fever, knowing you need an operation. You want to get it fast.
I did just check if you want today to fly to StDenis from Tana: no flight. The next on in 2 days, eco fully booked, business class one way 590 EU. For almost the same price you can go back to Europe tonight. Still, you need about 1000 Eu as an emergency fund plus a health insurance, cover your costs in Europe. Someone living on Mada does not have that luxury.
Enjoy Mada for a time and be well aware of possible setbacks. Extreme power and water shortage in Tana at the moment! Residency nothing for beginners. OK for ole African hands.

Yes that's exactly what I was talking about. If you are in deep shit medically you do not want to wait for the next commercial flight, as Amadeuss has pointed out. Also consider that if you are really messed up many airlines will not want you on board because of liability issues, or you just drop dead. I am fortunate enough, though far from rich, to have the resources to do this. Most do not.

I am fortunate enough, though far from rich, to have the resources to do this. Most do not. It's much simpler than that. If you live in Africa. Do whatever is in your might to stay healthy. Have yearly checkups. Get all your shots up to date. Buy one book. That's all you ever need: "where there's no doctor". That has been written to support village health workers in developing countries. Carry a good first aid kit and basic medication. I always have several malaria quick Tests available.
The rest is down to luck. In Madagascar basic health needs are covered. If you have a serious accident for example. ,(One of the reasons you'll never see me riding a bike) and you're somewhere out in la brousse. Accept your fate and the fact that you just might die there. Period. There's no ambulance jet coming. Or a chopper. These things simply don't exist in Madagascar. The MAF is running a few Cessna Caravans. That's it. I'll tell you two true stories. One Frenchman very old of course felt unwell. So the only option available is you jump on the next commercial airline to La areéunion. When he arrived there at the hospital he dropped dead at the steps. Another case from Nosy Be. Guy broke his neck while riding a bike drunk. He actually had insurance and an ambulance jet came to pick him up. He died on his way in the plane en route to Kenya. RIP. So accept your fate. Malagasy hospitals are not that bad. Another of my friends had prostate surgery in Antsirabe. He survived. It cost him the princely sum of 350€.
My 2 cents.

Last trip, I stayed in a great Airbnb. It had A / see. But when the electricity was off, the only thing I had were the fans. After about 48 hours, even the fans went off. From the reports I've seen lately, you just can't count on electricity on the island. During my stay, I had to cool down so I went to Maison Ylang Ylang which I guess had better solar power because their A / see worked the whole time. The downside there was it really wasnt a mongering hotel. There were quite a few Westerners and I would have to do the walk of shame with my guests. And it closed down after 2 am. It took me 15 minutes to hail a security guard to let me in. It was also $100 per night.
Are there any other spots that have reliable A / see even when electricity is out? (Hopefully more guest friendly and at a better price point.).

Before it was renovated and bought by a Belgian, who turned it into a diving center. 100 $? Ridiculous price. Even a year ago it was 60€.

Wow! Listen to the expert! I bought mine in Africa 20 years ago. A real bible of "how to take care of a broken arm with a wood stick and a condom" LOL.Hi everybody!
One simple question to our mate that showed the attachment of the booklet concerning basic medical care.
Is the title of the book in the original language:
" Quand il and'why a pas de docteur l " ?
If so. Would you be kind to specify which publisher is releasing the booklet.
I find it very interesting and useful. Especially in remote areas of Africa including Madagascar. As we all veterans of the country know that medical care away from the 3 major cities: Tana, Tamatave and Diego is quite inexistant. Of course in Mahajanga. Morondava and even Fianarantsoa. And some other relevant towns like Sambava and Antalaha or TulAR. The most basic emergency care can be provided. And thus this book could be a great asset as you also pointed out that common sense shall prevail and observe regular check ups and avoiding hazardous situations. That can be many. Such as while travelling " en brousse " avoiding to breath in the dust of the minor roads (pistes / route secondaires) as you may get serious respiratory issues due to eventual virus on the sideways of those roads. And if you travel with a reckless taxi driver. Try to make him drive more civilized. Otherwise step off.
You may loose the money of the fare. But eventually you may save your life.
Dreadful accidents happen all the time especially due to agressive and drivers under the influence of " khat " or booze.
Stay safe.
Greetings from Sweden.

I have quite a long lasting attachment to the country. I have seen how life has become abruptly much more expensive and daily life unsafe!
Those days of an old peaceful romantic Madagascar are gone down the drain! Today's living is a cruel struggle for survival and as a Vahza (alien / foreigner) you are in a even more vulnerable situation. Simply because you are not aware of what is for real. Or not!
I am married to a lady from the northeast part of the country. Since quite a while. As we started with an innocent approach in 2008 through a known dating forum and after having had a daily contact with her and her family after 2 years. We decided to marry during my first trip to Madagascar in 2010 !
I keep an eye on what happens in the country by reading local newspapers and tv channels. By keeping a good network contact with Malagasy people abroad especially those connected to culture. Fashion. Football, music. Or politics.
I could exemplify lots of situations that have not ended well. For many gullible " Vahzas". And also had a few happy ones!
I advise you to follow the advice previously given by Tinte. As it sounds to me very rational with a sincere and pragmatic perspective on how to assess an eventual settling in the country.
Best wishes to you all and stay safe.

ID book only one way. No difference in price. Turkish is not that exciting. Via Mauritius. Ethiopian is still ok. If you're lucky one way around 500 from major EU Airports. The times of 600 return are over. Calculate with a return ticket flight price of 900 to 1300. So 1000 Euro return are already super cheap. Now Ethiopian raised flight frequency from 7 to 10 flights a week. Kenyan can be cheap. Relative. I used it to Paris. Air France forget it. The old days with super cheap promo prices pre COVID are gone. I know it. I never paid more than 650 return. Not in high season of course.

The airfares have become a total ludicrous rip off by most airlines. And since Air Madagascar turned into Madagascar Airlines and not having any long haul flights until eventually 2026,the situation is taken into advantage by the other stakeholders not having to compete and making cartel pricing.
However if one travels with an airline making a stop over in the subsaharian Africa, such as Ethiopia Airlines in Addis Abeba or Kenya Airlines in Nairobi.
Upon arrival to Ivato Airport TNR you will be requested to show a valid yellow fever vacination to be allowed entry into Madagascar. Do Not Forget This!

-I've travelled through whole Thailand and Indonesia without knowing Thai or Bahasa Indonesia.
Apart from the obvious, I enjoy things like coffee, good food, gym and exploring new places on foot and motorbike
(good for getting numbers from non online girls).
Now I decided to check
Africa.Hi mate!
Well, Thank You for calling us a bunch old fashioned dudes!
Now joke apart! Technology obviously may help in quite basic communication, and I am supposed to know that since I work constantly with translations to many different language patterns.
I speak and write over 6 languages, including French and quite basic Malagasy by self tuition.
Malagasy language differs quite a lot geographically, especially between the plateau Malagasy of the capital and surroundings and the coastal Malagasy.
Differences within the coastal Malagasy are huge between the southern coastal and the northern, as they can hardly understand each other if they keep strictly to their local dialects and colloquialisms.
Now what I wanted to say is that if you speak French that enables you to get a bit deeper in a relationship namely to the younger generation, I am aware of this as I have many young nieces and nephews and two adult boys in Madagascar that preferably communicate with me in French, but when it comes to my mother in law, just forget about it! I am forced to use my ring rusted Malagasy.
Her generation during Didier Ratsirakas time in presidency never got the chance to learn French, as he was a Malagasy nationalist with a friendly pro soviet geo strategical policy.
So my point is, that no matter the fantastic benefits of modern technology if you wish to go deeper in communication in a relationship and quality interact with people, grasping a language is almost crucial and mandatory.
Concerning your travel philosophy I think you have a good down to earth approach, and I sincerely wish that you keep enjoying your adventurous travelling.
I myself, am going soonest to make a tour to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Turkey, for other reasons than the common hobby of this forum, but for more professional reasons, namely related to sports.
Best wishes.

Greetings from Sweden.Yellow fever vaccination in not requested by Madagascar if you just have a transit (even a long one) in Addis Ababa. When I say long one, it is typically the case for a return flight New York / Antananarivo flight with one night in Ethiopian airlines airport hotel (gratis: dinner and night paid by the airline, as the transit cannot be immediate).
It is not just an opinion, but I managed a group of 12 Malagasy going to New York (one stop in Abidjan) last year and we worried on this point, then checked US and Malagasy regulations. Then no problem.

Didn't you think for a bit about possibility like this? Now you talking about a working girls, this is your choice to go bars or night clubs pick a lady from there and get quoted 50 k-60 k, some start from 100 k when they hear I don't speak any French. Been there, check it what is fuss about it and paid twice 50 k for that type of service.
For me 95% of girls I've been with had a smartphone. Mostly cheap oppo or other Chinese's ones, nokias but few with iphones too. And this girls do not go out at night (not working girls! We will meet day time or will come around 6 pm to stay overnight at my place.
Now you see the difference? You are talking about your world where is only prostitution involved and I'm talking about mine where girls are looking for relationship.
BTW Taxi Be in Tamatave is a total crap, hard even to call this place a disco, fulpointe is a very nice place for relax but you need to take lady with you. Spent there 3 days alone but still enjoy it.

A few days ago Mr DJ President did welcome a big Dubai property and construction group, focusing on Nos Be since Emirates goes there with more flights. Super hotels will bring in the party tourists with deep pockets. That will attract the old hogs counting in $$ only.
More charter flights from Poland and Israel attract the rowdy drinkers making the 100 m of road on front of TaxiBe to a hard players meeting place.
The local families are already preventing their daughters to go near that Gomorrah but sqeeze more money from the visitors in the blurr to have money sending their Kids on good schools, not attraced to fuck vahaza.
And if one MrSuperman convinces this country lass to have sex, sending her back with 10 k AR. Next day a knock at the door: behind the smiling face of his sweetey he will see mom, brother, uncle, staring at the stupid looking vaza:. What's next?
Every of the Mada visitors from years ago still know where to find the charm of this Island and their people, but won't talk about it.

It is sad but inevitable. As the big spenders grow in number board members will be more and more reluctant to share experiences, prices and locations. Soon people will not post good info and it will lead to only PMs between people who trust each other enough not to blab about it. I think the writing is on the wall. Having seen the good and great times in the PI, Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia and also seen them all turn to shit over the years, I am afraid the writing is on the wall. Mada too will suffer this fate. It may take 3, 5 or 10 years but it will go downhill. I hope I am wrong but fear I am not. Eventually it will be 2 weeks millionaires speaking English that rule the roost, or if you are fortunate enough to be hansum and a great fuck like Mr. Smit you might still get it for 10 K. C'est la vie.

I must say that I have a hard time beliving Madgaskar will turn in to some sort of overpriced Thailand any time soon. The people that have driven up prices in Thailand are mostly chinese, japanese and koreans. They are not going to travel to Madagaskar for girls. The talk about arabs coming in is something I doubt. Arabs don't like black girls. They prefer either thier own women or white women.
Big spenders only start to have an impact when there are enough of them. There was always those types of guys in Pattaya but it didn't mean much untill enough of the arrived. When I last looked at a video from nosy bee there was a lot of women, no way prices are just going to sky rocket.
Does anyone have any updates on flights to Mada? Because right now this is the biggest problem, getting there for reasonable money.

Turkish airlines have flights to Antanarivo for around 750 euro.
Fortunately this island has multiple layers of protection against foreign intruders. Namely. The expensive flights. The atrocious road infrastructure. Try ride 30 hours in a Taxi brousse. Or worse. Camion Brousse. The whole host of tropical diseases namely Malaria Typhoid Cholera the famous Malagasy shits. Plus all known VDs. The Language Barrier. Only 29% actually speaks proper french. The rest Malagasy. The climate including several vicious tropical cyclones. Plus the Visa regime. After 90 days it's good bye from paradise. No legal extension. I m personally not convinced that the island will be overrun by gulf arabs. Nosy Be might be a different matter. They try since years to bring holiday charters. That most likely will not work. The infrastructure is just too bad. There's no need for me to put people off. I just described the harsh reality. Let all the smart guys come and find out for themselves. The word suffering will take on a new meaning. LOL.

All you say is true, for now. Road transport is worse than it was before covid. Infrastructure still sucks. Flights are stupidly expensive. But, we have seen posts in the last month or 2 showing a change in Nosy Be from both one week millionaires like Mr. Gigolo and more price conscious individuals who have seen first hand the prime chicks starting to ask for 200 k, and getting it. Yes of course there are many who don't and won't pay these stupid amounts (I am one of them!) but if it continues in this fashion it doesn't bode well. And if Nosy be becomes fucked over it is a foot in the door for the rest of the country. 2 week millionaires are just that. They WILL spend stupid money and they will pay exorbitant airfares. Maybe Mada has many more years before it goes the way of other well known mongering destinations. Maybe not. As I said, I hope I am wrong.
Old French Ladys on the go on dayli Basis can be seen in the Brousse! US Girlys have Party on the Beach. LOL. Cheap flights and livingcosts for stranded Loosers too.
And again there was two cents of truth in it. The rest BS!

I had written a couple messages a week or so ago that seem to have disappeared, not sure if I said something wrong but I think Southeaster made reference to one. The main point was what I was seeing in Nosy Be this year. I have been using Facebook quite a bit to find girls, have found a few good ones, have been ghosted my many more, and had a couple ask up front very seriously for AR 200 k. Even had a girl I have seen several times since late 2023 for 60 k, quite happy for that, refuse to come over telling me "many tourists here now, a lot of money". She was a wild one, everything available, making videos with her and a friend, and asking me to send them to her. Then one day one of her threesome freinds told her that we were together alone and she got insulted. I doubted that was the reason, I think she realized she could get more money and was too busy. Also there are a lot of very expensive homes being built, and a extremely wealthy class coming in. So it is changing. I think Toliara might be better off, but I have not been there for a while.

VL.Who is it that is paying? 200 k AR is insane in a country that has an average income a month of maybe 400 k AR. But there is so many idiots. But is there not girls going there for less than 50 euros? It seems crazy that there should be that much work for all.

La Buse.Hi Neddy! My french is very limited and most information about visas here in Madagascar is in french. I've been in Madagascar now for a year and extended my visa att the chief of police every three months. The stamp looks legit and all but now I wonder if I will have a problem when leaving the country? What do you think will happen? Paying a huge fine when leaving and being barred to enter the country again? I hope not since I love it here.

The local police gives you a stamp. There's no visa extension. The police the'air et frontière is enforcing the immigration policy. Let's put it this way. If you got the illegal useless stamps in Nosy Be. Do NOT fly from Tana. Fly out from Nosy Be. Play dumb. And pray. Have some ariary ready when you exit the country. If you find a corrupt border official. 100 k should do the trick. Other than that. Every year they're rounding up a couple of illegal french immigrants. Technically it's jail time you're looking at. And deportation.

It seems crazy that there should be that much work for all. This is the biggest issue mongers face. Demand drives the price. There are idiots who pay any amount to get laid. This woke bullsh*t has to be stopped. I am pretty sure Nosy Be will go down as bad as Pattaya. Minimal improvements to infrastructure and ridiculous prices. Several YouTubers effing it up badly. Why can't just people stick to 40 k to 60 k prices? I remember girls asking me 200 euros on Tinder. This was 2019-2020. Never pay upfront. Never pay excessive amount. No pussy is golden. No one is there to love you. Get the message out there for old idiots.
