I landed at 0030!

If you want to have a fucked up stopover in bahrain then fly Gulf Air.

Not only they delayed me for 5 hours in KSA, they also cancelled my morning connection to LHR - (probalbly a blessing in desguise as I really do not fancy getting up at 7am)

All my plans went out of the window. Expactcat recommended the metropole. Gulf Air was now going to send me to Baisan Tower. What am I to do. Pay for the night myself at Metropolitan ( kowing that I could get to F1 easily) or allow GA to pay for it and use the extra budget for more pussy? BUT NOT Guranteed as I do not know of the Baisan. Too late to make contact with Expactcat, so searched the FF on the hoof and hey presto.. GF hotel!

So no brainer. Baisan it is.

Sorry for not helping you out, I’m currently in the states on business and don’t have information with me that I could have passed on to you. I figured a resourceful monger such as yourself would have use all the info on the board and busted loose.

With you being at the Baisan Tower you were just a short walk to the Lens Man building, the place is in an earlier post. (http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=476212&postcount=440 ). You could have gone to the Lens Man and taken a girl out at that hour or do the BD5 at the door and BD10 to the girl in house. You could have also gone to the Palace Inn or Tabasco Charlie’s at that hour and picked up a Thai lady for 30-50BD for the night. As late as it was and not on a weekend more like 25-30BD.

Can definitely confirm that the girls are still working at the Lens Man. Apparently business is down due to Ramadan, but that's to be expected since no booze is being served in any of the hotels and so no business from across the causeway.
All in all, a mechanical screw from the PRC girl on the 4th floor, first door on the left. Bit starfish, nothing special. Won't be using her again. Turned her over for doggy and smelled the whif of shit. Not pleasant. YMMV

No news on Phoenicia. May still be open if you take a room. It may also be the case that if you take a room you may be able to get booze on room service. I don't have confirmation of this, but it's an expensive way of getting a beer! Again, no booze in the bars (no open bars) so no Saudi customers.

I'm just counting the days before I flit off to the Far East over Eid.

Eid will likely be terrible for mongers. Remember the pre-Ramadan crackdown by LE on vice and hotels being instructed to evict working girls. So most WG's would have left the country by Ramadan. And you cant expect them back all at once immediately after Ramadan, that may take a few weeks. Plus, vacationing hordes of Saudis will descend on Bahrain on Eid and there will be intense demand for what few WG's are left. So unless you know particular girls there who would give you the time of day, Eid doesnt look too good for mongering activities.

I take it you mean Ramadan not Ramada. :) I would anticipate that when the bars open again over Eid then situation will resort back to normal with the girls out in force at TC's, Diggers, F1, Garfields, Warblers, Seaview Hotel and all other venues. . .

As JP2U mentions, the place will be overrun with hordes of bloody Saudis. The streets will be packed, traffic will be a nightmare and parking impossible. So, back to the norm with weekend business over a larger number of days. However, I would hope that LE would be more involved in rounding up drunk Saudis than pestering working girls. But who knows in this place. Anything goes and the police don't seem to do sod all.

Have you tried the Ambassodor Hotel? They usuallly have girls there during ramadan. Check in the reception and the best time to go there is later afternoon( 2-3 pm).

You never know, you may get lucky there. Its not a bad hotel actually and there used to be some action there a few years ago at the Sherlock Holmes bar with working girls dropping in, dont know why its died down. But I guess little point if its girl unfriendly, dont know know how vigilant they are or how effective their 'girl unfriendly' policy is tho.

Gulf Hotel isn't a bad place to stay, and when I stayed (a few times) it was GF. Yes, Sherlock Holmes Bar is quiet - there are usually a few older Chinese girls there - I wouldn't recommend it as a pick-up place.

Careful with picking up girls at places like Bustan - to take them out you may need to pay for their "hotel room" first (at least that's the problem I was presented with, and I declined). Better to take a free-lancer from F1 Club or similar.

my excursions to bahrain are few and far between these days (due to the other half) although i used to know the scene very well. this weekend finally got a chance to go on the hunt – very disappointing, read on.

i knew from other sources that the thai population (my preferred delicacy) would be on the decline. they are no longer able to do the monthly visa run to uae, and without somewhere local to renew the visa, it is not financially viable for a lot of them to remain here. so they are departing fast as there current visa’s come up for expiry. coupled with this the local police are having a purge on thai’s, so it’s also becoming risky for them to stay. all this has been instigated at the request of thailand and not by bahrain authorities, other nationalities (chinese, russian etc) are free to stay – for the time being at least.

following funforfemales excellent report decided to check out diggers first. arrived about 9p. m. and my worst fears were confirmed, reasonably busy – but no thais to be seen. quite a few chinese in attendance though, ranging from dog rough to ‘do-able if wearing beer-goggles’. didn’t have the beergoggles on yet so decided to move on. spoke to one quite cute one, maybe a 7, decided to come back for her later if all else fails.

next stop seashell, this place used to be chocka with thais, not anymore. saw maybe 3 who no doubt will be gone in the following days. one looked quite hot but appeared to be taken already, besides didn’t get a chance to investigate further as one of the chinese decided to come and sit with me (there were maybe 20 or so chinese in the place). now this girl would have had to pay me to go st, and not small money either! but despite me virtually ignoring her, asking her when the thais were coming and staring at the other girls in the bar, she failed get the message and wouldn’t budge. so i drank up quickly and left. i did discover she had only been in kingdom a few days though, and this seemed to be a reoccurring theme, seems the ‘establishments’ realizing the thais are in quick decline, are rapidly stocking up on chinese takeaways.

on to queens bar in the al bustan. they used to have a healthy selection of very good looking thais. my only problem in the past was that they were a bit expensive, coupled with the hotel wanting 5 star prices for 2 star rooms, and still insisted on charging for a room if you wanted to take the girl elsewhere. same story again thais replaced with chinese and not in the same league as before – think premiership-vauxhall conference!

talked to one for a bit, another new arrival who was quite explicit about the services she offered. if she had looked 15 years younger would have had the pleasure of my company for the next few hours but it was not to be. i generally find the chinese to hard faced and to business orientated for my liking. don’t get me wrong i’ve had a couple of nice experiences in dubai from cyclone in the past, but those kind of lookers have yet to make their way to bahrain.

off to f-one, now i was here a couple of weeks earlier and the place was full of thais, the best i’d ever seen it, and i used to be a regular here. unfortunately that time all i could do was look at the eye candy on display as i wasn’t alone. different now, there were a few thais but nothing like before, all taken already. i presume due to their depleted numbers they now have a captive market. plenty of chinese again. girls were seriously outnumbered by punters – unlike before.

"see you again" she said – "not if i see you first" i thought.

didn’t try tc’s, wranglers or rock bottom, all happy hunting grounds in the past but unfortunately out of bounds for me. would imagine they’re going the same way though.

in conclusion i won’t be back anytime soon so looks like i’ll have to reacquaint myself with freddy the fist for now. hopefully the thai exodus will be short term, they’ve done the same with the chinese and cis in the past but both are back in force. maybe wishful thinking with bahrain’s upcoming plans for pubs and nightclubs though.

I tried looking through the 30+ pages of posts but I cannot find an answer to my question.

I noticed that the girls are usually shacked up in the rooms of these hotels and that the patron would get a room in that same hotel, then sumon her to his room.

My question is: can you just roam the halls of these hotels and look for a girl who has a room and do the deed at her room? This way you don't have to get a room for yourself. This would be especially helpful if you stay at high end hotel that is not GF.

This site is invaluable and I appreciate your help.

I would say that the Gulf Hotel is the closest to Garfields. It's a little further than walking though. It's within walking distance to the Al Bustan Hotel which houses JJ's which is usually full of expat totty. However this tends to be non P4P variety. Right next door though in the same building is Rock n Zebra club (I think it's called that). This has Thai girls who are very willing and able. Also the grotty bar on the right just inside the door is definitely P4P. It's dark, dingy and ususally full of Thai WGs.

Gulf Hotel is also reasonably close to Sea Shell. Check out the previous posts for details. Gulf Hotel will need a taxi to get to those places, but the Hotel is not that far from F1 Club either.

Otherwise, try the Intercontinental (formerly the Regency Intercontinental). This is close to Diggers and TCs. Both within walking distance. Both are well inhabited by working girls. When I was last there the Clipper bar had a cracking latino band with some very sexy dancers. There are other clubs around the area in some of the hotels but I'm unsure of the P4P situation in these. One has a very tasty Belorussian dancer, but I'm still trying to find the angle to get her out of the club. . .

The flavour of the month seems to be Thai girls with some PRC filtering around, especially in Diggers. I have also come across (literally) the occasional Malay from TCs.

I haven't tried Phoenicia (round the back of F1 and within a short taxi ride from the Gulf Hotel) since I live here and don't want to blow that sort of money. I find the prices when you've factored in the room, a little too high for my personal taste.

Like in most places, you pays your money and you takes your choice.

P.S. Beware of the Bahrain taxi drivers. By law they have to have a metre, and one that works. However, they will do theyre damndest to hide the thing under a box of tissues or a custom cover, or claim it's not working. Insist on using it. Otherwise, if they say the typical 'as you like', give them only one dinar when you get out the taxi, no more, and watch them squirm. They will do their best to rip you off. Be warned.

As of a few days ago most of the Thais have gone.

Seashell - pretty much chinese only now, the hotel have actually told some of the waitresses that they'll probably have to go soon - no thais=no punters=no business.

Al Bustan - the in-house Thais have gone (they don't let freelancers in, apart from the nightclub). Again only a few oldish chinese in zebra bar and queens bar.

Diggers not much better. F1 the best I saw on my recent 'survey' - but still nothing like before.

Never checked TC's which was always good, but a friend went there the same time I lucked out everywhere else and said they still had plenty of Thais

Went out last night and this was the first time in a long time. Even tried to hook up with Expatcat, but it just didn't work out with us both trying to find where the pussy is at now days. Seems this new rule that requires the Thai ladies to return to Thailand to before returning means they can't just fly somewhere in the Gulf area and do a Visa run.

Tobacco Charles’- last night was for the most part dead, I've never seen it like that. Normally on a Friday night after 11pm you'll find the place full of Thai ladies looking to hook up, only a few and not worth biding on.

Overall it's been a while since I've been out and if you know where to go you can find something, just wait and bite your time and don't take them up on there first offer. Best to begin your negotiations toward the last 45 minutes before the club closes in my opinion.

Addendum to the last posting. The town has died a death. I went out last Friday with the intent of meeting up with Razzor in town. Looked into Diggers and Tabasco Charlies. Both are devoid of Thais. As Raz stated, they have
been weeded out with visa runs restricted to home countries, not around the Gulf. I've been told that this is temporary and they'll come back with longer (two year?) visas soon. However this does not help the current situation.

Missed out on Garfields since I was just too late. Raz was inside and I was locked out. I got fed up so wandered round to Lensman which was still open for business at around 2am. Got nicely serviced by a Thai who calls herself Nadia. I say this cos I really don't believe that's her name. However, who am I to comment. Average bj and nice fs. Just what I needed after a reasonably frustrating evening.

Well last night was a terrific failure on my part. Started out at Al Samadi sweets, smoking sheesha. Was approached by two chinese ladies (said they were waiting for one girls husband first, lol) one of them (old looking, which is scary) kept asking me to take her to F1. Well, as I have ceased drinking due to health reasons, didn't want to go (and she was old) then she came right out and asked me if I needed a lady. Ha ha no way. Went from there to summerland hotel, the desk guy said "there's no club, just coffee shop" which I took to be a lie, I think maybe he just didn't want to let an american in. Visited other hotels around there, most were full of arabic guys and not women. Then went to Phoenicia (the hotel, not tower) guy inside very friendly, asks if I want room, whatever I want he'll take care of, etc. So went to the disco at 2330 which was a waste of 10 bd. Lots of girls, true, but also lots of arabic guys. Didn't want to pay for a room, so I am still trying to figure out why I went there in the first place. Walked by Sydney tower as well, guy outside said rooms were 20-25 bd and there was "entertainment." Again, not wanting to pay for a room, left there. That may be worth a follow up though, if I get really hard up. Final stop, east coast hotel disco. Again, waste of 5 bd. 3 or 4 women in there, 3 in traditional arabic garb dancing etc. One did look really nice (could only see her eyes, which has become a turn on for me) however didn't feel comfortable approaching her, what with the arabic morals about talking to their women. Probably a mistake on my part, she must have been there for some P4P but still was nervous considering the number of guys in there.

Back home, porn on internet. Not satisfying. Still looking. Anyone have suggestions? Not looking for Thai or Chinese **unless they speak good english? Or are just too hot to turn down**

More than likely after you tell them you are staying near the airport they will decline to go with you. I would suggest you stay closer to the action if you want action. Stay at the Gulf, Crown for five* and no problem to bring the girl back. You can stay at the Place Inn to it's a Three *, with the Garfields Bar with many WG. If you are staying close to the airport to save money, you will lose it with the Taxi for yourself and the girl.

One Night at Phonecia Hotel

During my visit to Bahrain last year, I skipped the Phonecia. I guess there were a lot of Thais then. After three flights, I arrived in Bahrain. It was about 9 PM when I made it to the front desk of Phonecia. Attended parking was available and it included a free car wash.

The room rate was 35, but I was told it would be 30 on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday with a pre-booked reservation. As I previewed the room with the bell-hop, he gave me all information I needed: telephone numbers for two types of girls---Russians and Arabic. In reality, the Russians included Ukraine and Pole and the Arabic were Iraqi and Morraccon.

By the time I took a shower and changed, they were knocking on my door. Great report Happy Feet. I like the Phoenicia as well and your report is the same as my experience almost every time I go there. Havent been there in a while though. Best time to stay there is on a week night, besides the lower room rates you get more knocks on your door as the girls have less business. On weekends they are very busy and you get much less knocking. Rooms can vary between decent and atrocious, again chances are you will get a better room on a week day.

Just found this site, have been in Bahrain 8 months.

Things have definitely got quieter in last couple of months.

After reading the past few post now I know why the COP is going up here in Bahrain. Last week I went to TC and a Thai lady wanted Bd60 to leave. I don't and never have paid that much here. I read back several months in the forum and came across a post by Davidson about a good massage provider named Riya at the hotel NOORA. The place was a little hard to find. Davidson said it was a behind Exhibition street. It is actually about two blocks from the Baisan tower / Warbler back door heading toward Juffair (South).

Hi friends,

Was in Bahrain for a few days and tried to find some acompany.

If you took the time to look just a few posts lower down you would see Mr Happy Feet's post on the Phoenicia, or his previous post. This would clue you up to Russians in the hotel. The posting was just last week, so I wouldn't think that things have changed. The clamp down seemed to have been on Thai girls. They are gradually beginning to come back with two year visas. Expect a rise next month due to the Formula One. This seems to have been a temporary blip. I'm certain that the people behind all this will find ways of getting round the system, or will start 'recruiting' from other areas, PRC or Africa, probably.

I've been to the Phoenecia many times since the late 90's and the main reason I keep coming back is thats where the best looking *****s are. You can never judge it on a one time visit because you may get unlucky on a night with too many punters and too few girls to go around, and thats happened to me before, esp on weekends. Usually theres 30 to 50 girls residing there doing business, so the wide selection is a big selling point, but again the good looking ones are often taken on weekends. Rooms are inconsistent, some are shabby, others are OK, esp when the hotel is not too full. I can vouch for Crap Games observations that he encountered 8's or 9's there, because so have I over the years, and this with some consistency. No its not LOS, one of my favorite places, but I've seen far worse looking Russian *****s command top dollar and get it at places like CM2 in BKK.

Crap Game is right-on and like him I am glad I checked Phonecia off my list. His report is better than mine hands-down, but they agree in substance.

Local Bahrain mongers have it very good. On the cheap end, you have the massage places and the Lensman type Eros rooms, but on the high end you have the Arabic Hotels. In reality, 40 BD i.e 110 US is not bad by U.S.A or London escort standards. In Honolulu, $200.00 only gets you an hour. So when I get to Bahrain I don't look for a discount everyday.

I had nice time in Bahrain last week. Stayed at Phoenicia for BD 4O week end and BD 30 for week day. Lots of girls. Stay away from Jasmine, Rima and Mirna as they push you to finish in 15-20 minutes and run away. Samira, Azziza and Lena are very good. You can get their contact numbers from the security guard at each floor. He will even guide you for suitable ones.

Also, had a chance to visit Aradous hotel in downtown. The bar at mezzanine has many Thai girls. You may talk to them and get a room for ST at BD 7 and BD 10 for girl. I have been in the wonderful kingdom for the last week, so i thought i had better make a quick report of the action

Arrived Saturday evening and as it was a day off on Sunday, i thought i'd hit my old stomping ground, the infamous F1 club

Been a member for a while now, and wanted to thank all for their very imformative reports.

Stuck in the dead land of Doha and Done the Dubai scene so I thought I would use up my air miles and take a trip over to see the Island while the trouble and rug rats are away.

I have taken the time to read up on the reports, and I think I will be able to get plenty of st action at many of the recomended hotels EG Phoenicia, Gulf etc.

What I am really interested in is a comfortable and safe place to stay near the hot spots (not interested in hiring a car) that is wg friendly and any recomendations on locations for finding an over nighter.

A st wg is fine to unload, I like not to be rushed and have my morning glory taken care of too.

Would appreciate any responce and If any one is up for a beer or three and some mongering let me know.

Don't have confirmed dates. But possibly mid week (I understand weekend gets too crowded with the guys comming over the causeway.). Either next week or week after.

Guys just to relate a little tale of the evenings events. Went out with my long time girlfriend and 3 of her friends Pon, Emmi and Cat (all Thai's) and eventually ended up in F1 club. Where they were delighted to find a surfeit of boys from the royal navy and swung into action to get a trick for the night. I try to stay away from the pairing and negotiation that goes on although my girlfriend (who does'nt "work") takes great delight in putting her two pence worth in during proceedings.

Now the normal procedure for these girls is to start the bidding at a BD100 about $270 and barter from there, although they have a ladies agreement that BD60 is the minimum they will accept from a falang, and this applies to ALL the Thais not just these 3, unless of course they are in dire staights and needs must! The navy guys only wanted to pay BD30 and BD40 respectively so everything went to shit and all bets were off. OK not my business but by this time it was 2. 00am and kicking out time so they all left with me.

Get to the car and am asked to take them to a building off exhibition ave near the Mirage Hotel called Ali Plaza, turns out to be a short stay arab (saudi) knocking shop. So the ladies alight with kisses aplenty and me and the GF head home. I ask "whats going on there then" to which the reply is "they go to work". Ok again not my business but I know that the arabs will only pay BD10 or BD15 for a shag, so I ask what the going rate is. Sure enough BD10-15 is the reply! I am astounded to be frank because the arabs treat the girls like shit. They will turn down double or more from a farang who staying in a nice Hotel/Apartment/ Villa but go to a shithole like this one and do the "job"for a fraction!

Upon further enquiry I am told that the thai girls will fuck an arab, indian, Paki whatever for BD10 but if your a European / American boy you have to pay minimum BD60. Fuck that boys there are plenty of Chinese hookers in town now, who will happily accommodate us for BD25+.I know from personal experience- so its time we stopped being used as mugs by these bitches and we surely are. It is in my experience a thai only thing, thats not to say that all nationalities are not on the make but this is orchestrated against us here in Bahrain. Bear in mind if you go to Lensman Plaza or Sharkiya Plaza opposite (shortime brothels with a largely arab clientele) that a room and shag can be had for BD15-20 from the same thai girls who ask BD60 in F1! Its silly to pay more knowing the facts!

You're spot on; I've been telling everyone the same thing for a long time. You have a good experience that everyone should be able to relate to, how many of us haven’t had that happen to us, not many I’m sure.
I've been down that road with the Thai ladies to many times, but if you persist maybe you will get the BD30 call. One thing to keep in mind, don't be smashed drunk, because they definitely won't go. Plus when you’re dealing with two guys and two hooks, it’s kind of hard to work; one may be willing to come down but the other won’t so the deal for both doesn’t work out. Deal with them alone if you can, they don’t like telling the other girls they got less than the “going rate”.
Another thing these ladies can go to work at the short time house and maybe pull 6-10 tricks a night on Wednesday or Thursday night. Wed and Thurs are not good nights to try and bargain with these ladies. They can make up for it at the short time house with the Saudi boys. Friday thru Tuesday nights at TC or F1 you can normally pull one for BD30-40. I've gotten them for as little as BD25 before too.
Being nice and respectable toward the hooks goes a long way, which will definitely influence them in taking a cut in price. So always tell them to look for you around 1:45am if you were not successful in your bargaining, if they haven’t hooked up they will come around.

I dont usually frequent these places, but for the last few weeks I became sort of a regular at one of them. This actually is one of the better knocking shops in terms of quality of merchandise, its a little United Nations of *****s. Very few Thais, but mostly Russians, Uzbeks, Turks, Khazaks, Iranians and a couple Morroccans and Syrians as well. I've been very hesitant to mention this, because many of these girls are good looking and cheap (20bd short time), and the last thing I wanted is a deluge of mongers decending upon it and ruining the market. Its almost a copy of the Phoenicia in terms of how the girls look and operate. Theres about 25-30 girls there, many 7s and 8s and depending on your taste a couple of 9s as well. They roam the floors knocking on rooms, many dressed to kill, in hotpants, microskirts, and its very tough to wait until you've seen them all because chances are you will be drooling and jump on one very quick.

The place is easy to get to. Turn off Exhibition ave to the street with fast food joints (MacDonalds, Pizza Hut, etc), then take the first right, then the first left. Ahead of you is a red tiled building called 'Family Plaza'. Behind this innocuous sounding name, lurks a veritable den of depravity and debauchery, its sole purpose is to cater for mongers and working girls, nothing else - and its the last place on earth you'd want to take your family. Only furnished apartments here, quite shabby, but suits its purpose quite well. Single room apts go for 17bd (but are usually hard to get even during the week), double rooms are 25bd, etc. Most of the girls share the apts, usually 3 or 4 to an apt. The bell boy will write down their room nos for you. But beware, this is not a place you would want to sleep for the night! Aside from Arabic music blaring from some of the rooms, and the shabiness of the place, the girls will be knocking on your door until dawn, so sleep is not really an option. And never visit this or any other knocking shops on weekends.

What I like about this place is that you can order cheap beers (1.5bd/can) and just sit back in the living room watch TV and keep the door open to observe the girls as they go from room to room looking for business, and they will drop in on you frequently to chat and seduce you. I've never seen Westerners there so I dont know how awkward they may feel there, this of course is not an issue for me being Arab myself. Re comments on the Arabs treating the girls 'like shit', I most certainly havent nor have I ever seen any one I know do. If the main objective here is to have good sex and enjoy oneself, I dont see how mistreating the any of the girls can bring that about. It will only result in one being identified as a jerk and shunned by all the girls, plain and simple. As to why Westerners are asked to pay more, I think its more to do with the venue rather than the place, these knocking shops seem to have set rates, so I dont think anyone will pay more or less than another. 100bd at F1? Maybe the profile of a 'fool and his money' is on her mind..:p..? Quite frankly, its rare for me to see any of these Thais, Chinese match the looks of some of the girls at this knocking shop (however in LOS maybe another matter).

Girls of note: Sameera, Alexandra and Natalie. Sameera is a definite 9 in my book. Russian with Oriental looks, 5'5", young, about 18, light brown hair. Natalie, brunette, about 5'8", Alexandra, 5'8", dark hair, definite head turners. A few of the Iranian girls are cute too. One tall, attractive Syrian as well.

Your obviously a well educated guy so must realise when I (or anyone westerner) says arabs treat girls badly , that we are talking generalisations here. Try Sea Shell Hotel in Adliya after 8.30 for thai and chinese any night and most nights F1 but not till around 11.30 - 12.00 after which it gets busy with the girls.

I checked in for an evening at Phoenicia. It was really good fun with knocks every five minutes and wide variety from Eastern Europe, Iran and Morocco.

The concept seems to be pretty good in these Knock shops. You check in to the room and the knocking starts and if you want more attention, keep the door ajar, as one of the fellow mongers had advised.

As advised, I observed for an hour and noted down room numbers and name. A funny request by some of them was to note down the name and numbers in Arabic or any other non-English language, which sounded surprising, wonder what's the reason for that.

Some of the girls just come in right their name and number and go, while some others are pushy and kind of pounce on you

First round settled for Shiekha who later claimed that She was from Greece, no way to check that out, but anywas doesnot matter. She was tall May be 5 8 with good figure and tits. The service was pretty standard stuff, short time for 40 BHD.

Agreed Dan Diplomat sucks and is NOT girl friendly. Gulf is ok as is Regency Intercontinental usually although I did once have a set to with the duty manager there. Turned out ok after I refused to back down as i had paid for a double and was damn well gonna use it. Other times had no fuss. I am sorry to have given that impression, I was just passing on – perhaps without enough skepticism – what was told to me. As I said I am ex-military and was in the 352nd SOG – USAF, so I can understand but I could not get a picture of the money situation that is being paid out. The per diem works out, I forgot about that. The best I ever got was being seconded to NASA which was about 400 per day. I didn’t know the guys were getting that for the TDY here. I should have thought of that. I have been out of the loop a while now I’m afraid, cold warrior you see. So I apologize, I went too far in tarring the whole group with the same brush for the acts of a couple of black sheep and I should not have done that. Good hunting and perhaps the prices will stabilize and come down again for us vintage sportsmen.

dan glad you had a good time here in bahrain, but i have to take issue with some of the comments you make regarding the thai girls... you make them sound like a bunch of old junkie thieves which i can assure you they are not. not to say there are not bad ones but in 5 years involvement with the thais here i have yet to meet one that stole or attempted to steal from me or anyone i know.
some of them do use ice but it is not crack (presumably you mean cocaine) it is methamphetamine (speed) which was not even an illegal drug here until 9 months ago. the majority do not use ice but those that do usually work in the seedier hotels and use it so they can work with little sleep. these hotels are where the pimps will operate and the customers will pay anything from bd5 a pop so the girls may do 12 or 15 guys a day. if you do the sums you will see that after the hotel/pimp takes their cut the girls dont really have much time to sleep hence the ice. this is not to justify or approve what they do. most of the girls will go freelance once they have paid off the mamasan or simply go back to los if they cant hack it. some are lucky and meet mr right!
many of the girls are indeed in their 30's but most are 20 somethings and come in all shapes and sizes to suit every taste.
there are very few thais who are run by pimps here the vast majority - probably of the order of 90% - are freelancers.
true to say that they are restricted to one month visas but that rule expires next week and they are then able to do the qatar visa runs again and do not have to return to thailand every trip.
the prc girls are viewed as dirty by the thais and in truth by thai standards probably are! the chinese girls are much too businesslike and despite a huge influx of them in the last 3 months the thai girls all get snapped up first. indeed most of the thais dont even bother to go out until midnite and have scored within half an hour or so of entering a club, you can see the interest when they start to arrive the chinese get whats left, so shop fast if you see a free thai !!

For those that dont know Enigma is located in the Windsor Tower Hotel and in defference to Samsarai's report i have to say that while there are a LOT of philipino's there most are there with their husbands and are NOT working girls so be careful.
