Ok, just like Gonad and many others I have read scam reports about St. 63, but decided to go anyway today and be careful. BAD idea.

So, I got 2 questions for the experts out there:

1. Why didn't they take the money?
2. If they were going to rob me from the start why did the guy tell me to not bring the camera inside?

I'm staying away from St. 63 from now on. Be safe.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the Reports of Distinction thread. Please Click Here (http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/announcement-reportsofdistinction.php?) for more information.

Mates, Unlike me, you mates wuz lucky. Many places operate differ. Some place like Gonad Man will not letz you go easy but he lucky got out quick before reinforcements arrive to "escort" him out.
You wuz also lucky as they make you feel place honest-tell you leave things outside, but will steal what you have on. Lucky you caught them asses so no want trouble and letz you go.
Me mates wuz not as lucky. As me posted, shoulda listen to big mate Phantomtiger he the best, honest mate and prepares us all with good advice and knows the score. Me ignored his sound advice and almost paid with me life. Me still think lucky me can still write about it and not have broken hands or worst.

ok, just like gonad and many others i have read scam reports about st. 63, but decided to go anyway today and be careful. bad idea. i sounds to me like some people here are deluding themselves when mongering in poor countries. the girls at the st. 63 brothels are not there by choice. they have all been sold by parents or were tricked in some way or another. the place they take you is the 2nd-3rd floor with the crappy rooms. the 4th floor is where they [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123)/beat the girls (i know). 6 months ago there was even a scared chinese girl who only spoke mandarin. imported from somewhere but sucks for her since she needs to know khmer or viet to get around. the khmer price is 5-8000 riel which is about 1. 25. 2. 00 to screw the girls but in pp central it may be a little more. i pay $5 but at times i've paid less since i'm viet kieu and speak the local chinese dialect as well.

as a foreigner they will make 1 attempt to swipe a wallet just because the girls only get $1-2 per fuck even if they charge you 10. in some cases the girl will get a bigger share. if they manage to take even $20 from you then that equates to 5-15 extra fucks while they know that foreigners are not repeat business and just going to leave. even if they were a repeat business, they'd have to come a couple of times a week for a couple of months. logically it makes sense to attempt a swipe. you just have to understand their mentality.

remember that you are going to there to pay 5-10 to fuck a girl in a dirty room who isn't happy about it. some of you may have even noticed that some of the girls even pout and refuse to budge while you are doing the deed?

the freelancers at least fare better.

now that being said i will advise again that cambodia is full of scams. hotel scams, tourist scams, moto scams, monger related scams, etc. always be careful and if it seems strange then avoid and be sure to assert yourself. if you look like a patsy and act like a patsy then you will be a patsy. i'm aware so i always roll my jeans and put the opposite wall from the door. none of this massage first crap either.

i will be back in june for a stopover.

Big thank you to Pirate1 and Phantomtiger2 for their reports. Without the underlying sense of insecurity that those posts gave me, I might have lost everything. For those wondering where this place was, it was on St 63 around St 174 or 178 intersections. All I can remember is the gates to the shop were light blue.

You guys continue to amaze me. Curious bunch indeed. I do what I can to alert all that can happen and although you guys went anyway, at least you were aware of what the dangers are and got out before anything happened. Remember that curiousity did kill the cat. Stay safe guys and glad you are all ok.
Good or bad experiences, keep the reports cumming as I do enjoy reading all that happens there. I do admit that I miss PP , so have to read about it until my eventual return.

And Hollow Man, obviously you can show me alot more than what I could find on my own.

there are many good points but the above quote is the most important for me. i have mongered in se asia for too many years but have always tried to avoid situations where the girl has no choice. one of the reasons for having some doubt as to whether i've achieved this is the situation at places like martini's. when the 'mamasan' arranges some girl for you who can speak only a little english is it really just an act of friendship on her part or she doing this because of some form of indenture?

i would value your input on this subject.

One of the reasons for having some doubt as to whether I've achieved this is the situation at places like Martini's. When the 'mamasan' arranges some girl for you who can speak only a little English is it really just an act of friendship on her part or she doing this because of some form of indenture?I was curious about this as I sipped on my beer and watched the movie in the garden the other night. The girl next to me was Cambodian from Battambang and instead of listening to her jabber on about her boyfriends I asked her what the deal was with the mamasan. She said that when she first got there, she couldn't speak English, so the mama 'helped' her find men. Now, the mama herself is Vietnamese and this girl started to notice that the viet girls would get all the "good man" and yet repeatedly the mama would set her up with "drunk, angry man". All the while taking half of the profits.

She said she is not going to pay the mama any more because her English is good enough. I say, screw the mamas. No English necessary. Numerical amounts, cash, love (sex), these are all universal things which can easily be worked out. And while "let me put my finger in that special place" mightn't be so easy to universalize, I'm sure it would be fun to try.

On the subject of those 63rd street places, I have taken a different stance now. There's no such thing as a free lunch, nor a really really cheap f*ck. You'll pay somehow and you should in this case. If I were to go there again (and I might) I would probably pay the 10 up front, put 5 in my pocket for the mystery hands, and keep five in my fist for the girl. 20 bucks ain't so bad, after all.

First post!

I will go to Cambodia in May. I've been in Thailand 5 times and think the girls are getting more rude and fatter. Is Cambodia better you think? What is the difference?

Hollow Man
03-27-07, 18:33
Yea, Gonad man is right. The mamasan takes a small cut. New and shy girls dont know what to do so the mamasan bring the girls to men and tries to apply a little pressure to the men to take a girl usually by bringing 2-3 girls and asking the men "you like?" After awhile the girls don't need the mamasan and go off on their own but occasionally the mamasan might get a point a girl out to a guy and if he says yes then the girl gives a tip to the mamasan for bringing them business.

If you plan on using the st 63 spots then keep clothes away form door, refuse massage, do the deed, drop them a $1-2 tip afterwards. If you want something more than just a release then go to a pick-up bar or club. I've heard good things about the streetwalkers but personally I'm still wary so haven't partaken. Maybe next time around.

Main difference is in the # of P4P gals. Thailand have a huge overwhelming # of gals waiting to service you,---- SW, MPs, brothels etc.
Cambo have much much less by comparison. I've heard from others that there were more gals for action in Pattaya alone than the entire country of Cambo.
And yes, fat and rude gals exist everywhere including Cambo.

Only good thing about Cambo is the prices are cheaper if you have decent negotiating skills. If you have no skills then prices are about even.

I have to agree with others that if you are willing to spend $20 on a gal then you can get this price almost anywhere in PP, so why pay or possibly lose it all in St63 when other better options exist all over PP. You already had a bad experience there before so why repeat it???
If you had read my older reports you will know I now have one quest. I have suggested that if anyone is planning to spend the money on P4P then spend it on honest places and keep them in business and try not to spend money on dishonest places and hopefully they will close down from lack of business.
For ex: if you had 2 stores to choose from (electronic store, food store, anything you like) would you buy from one that will steal from you everytime you went into that store or the one that's honest and won't threaten or cheat you everytime you went in? So who would you rather give your hard earn money to and perhaps have them stay in business?--The choice is yours but my mind is already made up.--IMO

ok mate, lets me answer this.
10x better???-no mate, i bin both place and no wayz khmerland better, cheaper buts no better.
yous forget most khmer places has no infrastructure mate, no real roads, no local transport (besides all them local moto-dopes) etc.
also mores to choose from thai ladies.

st= $3 if yous speak them khmer or viet lingo
$5-7 startin price for all us mates without them lingo skills
$7-10= if goes with motodope or driver as needs to cover them commissions extra cost

lt=$15-20 buts never over 20-25 or yous gettin raped.

dunn think can teach yous neg. skills as me not with you. buts easy to learn, since yous now know them prices what they sez not right then turn and walk--if they dunn chase after yous then just move on to zee other place.

Someone beat me to it.
Only way to be a good negotiator is by knowing the correct prices and know when to walk away from it when you are being scammed. The list given to you by Pirate1 is fairly accurate as they are well within the range I paid myself. Also many others have posted their experiences and prices they paid so also use them as a guide.

If you get a girl to lower her price, she may get upset about this and give you a bad service, and why not pay the above price for a girl, she's been getting a couple of dollars untill a barang turns up and she gets a nice $20, you made her day.

... and know when to walk away from it when you are being scammed.

Just to reiterate PT's advice.

The walking away part is absolutely crucial. It's a difficult concept for the western shopper but is standard practice in Asia. Shop like a local, pay like a local (well not quite but you will get a better deal!).

Just read this again and want to clarify that the ST price list by Pirate1 are prices mostly for the local brothel scene.
The specialty BJ bars and places like LeCyree, Mikado, etc . and hostess bar places that caters to farangs are more costly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
dear gentlemen,

if someone doesn't want to go to st63 that's fine. no great loss for us. in fact the owners there no like "farang" because they are soon inevitably followed by their ol'mumma from home and their joints get closed down. please remember again k11. it was a world-class fuck-joint on the outskirts on p.pen, with very few scams. it was not closed by the pressure from cambodian nationals. then from where?

as for most of us, mentioning of "beaten women" will not keep us away from there, in fact many of us will buy a ticket and enjoy the show. we are not cold hearted but rather just free from "feminist brainwashing".

******************************
discipline is good for all...
******************************

i am quite sure that women do not get raped there but merely "disciplined". the bosses have a business to run. they look after many employees. if some do not behave, no matter how sad the task is, they must correct the behaviour otherwise the whole organisation falls apart and everyone loses their bread and income.

remember when you were disciplined in the army by your superior. it wasn't because he was evil. and when your papa smacked you it wasn't because he was evil. it was all to make you a better person and teach you respect, to keep the joint under control. imagine if a place gets bad reputation for disrespectful girls, khmer men (99% of cusomers are khmer) will not go there. it might come as a surprise to you, but they still expect respect from women. and no, not respect for each one as heroes but respect for khmer men as a class.

and they get it. see above. as a result, everyone is happy and there are many subservient women. hey, isn't this the very reason why we flock here? keep preaching about "beating" and other shite. at st.63 they are at least well disciplined which you cannot say about the girls in farang bars. as a plus, many of them are much more beautiful than the spoilt female staff at the farang bars (avoid at all costs).i personally saw one woman being beaten (like blue and green) but i did not find it offensive. i am sure it was all for reason and i regret to intrude on them because it distracted the guy. otherwise she would have got more. you don't have to sound like a broken record of american feminist brainwashing.

**************************************************
not the "feminist definition" of.....
**************************************************

things are still different and here and they don't scream [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) just because you did not great every female with a loud and cheerful "good morning" while going to work in the office. i repeat, this is why we flock here year after year. for fresh air from the suffocation of "man-hating brainwashing". do you want to come find pussy in another "little america"? you won't find any more than at home. that is a zero, isn't it?

btw, don't limit yourselves to st.63. there are also good brothels in st154, 130, 136, 144 plus the alleys between them. plus out in the dark alleys of suburban p.pen (but you need a local to go that way). i have been there several times and experienced very little hassle. upon recommendations from this forum now i always put the wallet under the pillow and not carry more than $30. but that's enough for 4-5 pops. most often get good service, sometimes even exceptional.

***********************************
we all win......
***********************************

i have to emphasize that please try to think "asian". don't come as a "hero". we are all heroes here as long as we cooperate. we all win because the women don't walk all over us like they do in the us, europe, etc. what matters is how great respect "all men" get and not the individual heroes. to get good service is to please the boss.

talk, chat with them, even tip them with gifts. when the "meat" sees that you are good with the boss it means that you will get good service. same as in thailand, china or indonesia.

******************************
please the boss
******************************

some bosses speak some thai. others only khmer. none english as far as i know. but speaking thai you are only a small step from khmer which is a lot easier to speak (although trickier to write but it just makes it more fun). there is a great scene out there, apart from the miserable, feminist infected "farang" places.

and if you are still not happy, the immensely numerous and fun brothels of sihanukville, kampot, kratie, battambang, etc are just a few hours busride away.

Dear Asshole,

We do want to go to St.63 (that's why we went). We just don't want to get ripped off and patronise businesses that promote theft and violence against men.

In addition to your list of alternative streets (thank you very much!) I discovered that St. 70 has some "massage" places for $5/pop. Also, that riverside street (Sisowath) has them just south of the bridge. They are open early and that's where I go for breakfast now.

Also, Asshole, let me use this opportunity to say that I appreciate your informative posts very much, even though we disagree on some issues. Do you know where I can find a barber/bj place? One that would actually cut my hair too.

ThanksThe other side of Street 70 also has $5 brothels, as you drive down this street you will see the ladys sitting outside there huts waiting for customers, street 70 is just past the french embassy on top of the lake when you look at a Phnom Penh map.

Its mixed khmer and viet,s and they are there from the afternoon to night, its a short time place just doing BJ`s mainly.

I would seriously recommend if your travelling to Cambodia for the first time that you read all of phantom tigers reports. His reports are always honest and very informative. We have been several times now and have always had good times at Sophies, Cyrcee, Martinis etc, weve never felt ripped off, we do stay away from st 63 and because of the warnings we certainly won't go now, on our next trip we are going to also include mikados will let you know how we get on.

I applaud your interesting report, as always, Humble Turd. We all miss K11 terribly, just as we miss the Beach Road and the other great dominos which have fallen. However I would like to take issue with just one point:

******************************
Discipline is good for all...
******************************
As a result, everyone is happy and there are many subservient women.
[/url]

Regarding discipline - of course that is only recieved by those in a socially inferior position, not by 'everyone'. And of course everyone is not happy - oppression benefits someone, in this case you and I, and he who benefits is pleased. However it is rather absurd to suggest that the oppressed person feels 'happy' about it. I like your political analysis, except for this logical inconsistency. A more honest approach would be.. oh I don't know, a bit more Hobbesian?

Last comment: I have never found the service in any brothel setting, in Cambodia or Thailand, not even at K11, to be even 10% the quality of service I have gotten on the Beach Road. I wonder why?

well, several days into my 2nd visit in one month to p-pehn, having visited sharkees, martini's, le cyrcee (ahh. yes pirate, the short one with the great breasts), mikado (another small one, ahkun, who won me over with her beautiful handwritting, tiny frame, ok (but smiling) face. super quiet, not sure if worth it. omigod she turned into a greedy little moaner who wanted to cum first! ) and yes even sophies (had to get very drunk for that! )

but i missed out on the k-11 days and wanted something more local. i finally took up a moto driver on some unknown (to me) places. he drove me to sotheros, just south of sihanouk blvd, where the road angles a bit and there is a row of typical mid-rise asian housing. girls waiting outside. went to dude-san, said i wanted a younger girl, making it very clear if he brought me anyone **** i would walk out and call the police. he said i have girl and she speaks english! i waited in a little room on the first floor, just a bed, a toilet/shower and room to turn around. a locals place. girls came to the door just to check me out i think, one sort of snorted or huffed-hilarious, which was good 'cuz i kept waiting for a knock and cops to show up. yea, i was scared. and then he brought her.

she was funny, she was pretty, she was 18 and a day (i checked id) she did a wonderful, shy bj, we fucked, we laughed and i came back the next night with a better tip, a pretty dress and waited. and waited. finally she shows! even though i told her i would be back at 7: 00 the next day, she was at her moms sleeping! the dude-sans' 'call woke her up! i can't wait to see her again so i can arrange a day time rendezvous and meet her so she can keep all the money. (i paid $20 plus 2. 50 for the room, still a beginner and not that tough a negotiator and besides when i propped her up on my cock in front of the mirror it was money well spent! )

and her name. was jenny. as i drove away she was showing a girlfriend the dress a few doors down, away from the brothel. so cute.

I have no idea if you can take 'em out. I seriously think this gal lived in the comples with her mother or family. I think she was paid very little, thus I hope to be able to find her again and meet her on our own.

Bring your own bed sheet!

Simple room, not too bad. But I've been to remote China and I am used to asian standards. My own room is usually never that hot, as I am but a poor waiter!

Yep, well read and cheap-that's me!

mountain peep, please be careful in future threatening our helpful pimp-gangsters with 'calling the police'. by rights they should have given you a good beating, if that was actually what you said.

please also note, regarding price, that $5 is the real whitey price, while the locals pay i think a dollar or three. ten dollars is the normal rip-off price when your moto gets a commision. how you got reamed for $22.50 i don't know - that's a lot of money.

lastly, one should never expect a prostitute in a brothel to meet one at a requested time. in the first place, even if you are a shocking over-payer such as yourself, you represent only a tiny fraction of her daily take. in the second, she's probably heard a million guys saying 'oh i'll be back', and very few actually ever come back at the stated time.

cool. not really sure if i did say i would call police, i just somehow made it very clear i did not want anyone **** without any anger at all. if i mentioned police it would have been with a smile. either way, duly noted, will avoid it. i felt he was he was very nice guy actually. professional, friendly. when i noticed an infected, closed cut on her leg i wrote instructions down for her, showed her how to wash it, even drew the symbol for pharmacy and said to show it there and get it fixed. i showed him it, asked him to make sure it was looked after and i believe he showed an interest. said i would be back "next year" and hoped to see him and hopefully her and that i hoped the infection would be healed. i would have gotten something for her myself, but it was my last night and i left on a minibus at 6: 30 a. m for thailand. (that was a trip- bus bottomed out, started leaking oil, and we waited an hour or so for new rides-amazing how well cell phones work in the middle of nowhere in asia, but drop outs still occur all over the states! )

Phnom Penh is always a blur for me. I like it because it is compact, prices are low, and you can get round a number of places for a quick search. And of course there is Sophies.

I stayed at the Golden Gate hotel, on Str 278 off Str 51. There are two standards, for $15 per night you get a bare bones room, very basic. In the upmarket hotel, for $30 per night, you get a good sized room, breakfast and laundry included. Laundry is same day service if you get it outside your room by 12.

I had three days there of business, a bit of group exercise, and some personal stuff.

On my first night, I had gotten in latish, so I headed off to Walkabout to check what was available. A fair selection of girls, but most looked pretty bored. I picked one, pretty face, reasonable conversation. Bought her a couple of drinks, and a snack – she was hungry. I asked her price for all night to 9 am, and she giggled at $1000, I sagged, so she asked $100, I said bullshit, $15. We haggled, she wanted $50, then $30. I eventually went up to $20. When we got to the hotel room, she was a dead loss. She had one kid, and it had knocked her round quite a bit. When we were in bed she started again trying to get the price up to $30. I got sick of it, said $20, or she could leave. She stayed. But she was a dead loss. Name of Srey On, phone 012329521. She has a distinctive gap between her front teeth. Pretty, square face, hair below her shoulder, a bit heavier than most, wider hips. Give her a wide berth.

I have a preference formost evenings. Go tyo Sophies early, get the rocks off with a quick bbbj fro $10, the see what the evening has to offer. This has the advantage of being very relaxed, and there is no pressure to find a fuck.

Sophies is at the intersection of Str 53 and Str 118. It has not had any maintenance since I was there two years ago, and is as sleazy as ever. The bar is primitive. You go up a flight of filthy stairs, and knock on a locked door. One of the girls will let you in. When you sit on a bar stool, you will be surrounded by a bevy of young women. None of them wear panties, so their cunts are open for your exploration. I like to take my time at the bar, with a beer, and my choice of girl straddled across my crutch, so that I can give her a good fingering and check if she is getting wet. Surprisingly, most of the girls do. Within a minute of sitting down, your cock will be out, with a pair of young lips wrapped around it. There will be plenty of others waiting to share your prick around. If you want more privacy, you can have a room, cost is $10 all up, room and girl, anything goes, boom boom, yum yum, condom provided. There seems to be no time limit, just how hurried the girl is. Mine were prepared to take their time, and I was happy for a cuddle and a chat after I had blown the bolt. Whatever the conditions and the sleaze, the girls are expert at yum yum, like human vacuum cleaners. Of the $10, the girl gets $5. A tip of a dollar or two is well received. Drinks cost $2 each, yours and girls.

For the first visit, I got a young girl, 20 years old, called Otan or Otah. Perfect body, slim, decent sized breasts, very sensitive to her nipples and her clit. She was pretty wet as I fingered her clit at the bar. We went to a room, and I said I would give her a licking, so she went off and washed her pussy. She was surprised and very happy that she had a good orgasm, I felt that she had not experienced this before. She reciprocated with the best that she could do with bbbj, **** available and very tight. Had my circumstances been different, I would have bought her, and just carried her away with me for ever. What a beauty.

I went back for her the next night but she was not there. The girls said she was in a room long time with a customer. I said that I would wait. But when there was traffic through all the rooms, it was obvious that this was not the case, I don’t know where she was. So I took another very small sized and very slim. Pretty face and perky attitude. She gave a great bbbj, and her **** was as tight as a fish. We had a nice chat afterwards, she was quite self conscious about her small breasts and big nipples. I told her that they were perfect, and she was pretty happy with that. She said that every day she sent her earnings to her mother, her father was too old to work, three sisters going through school.

Had a good afternoon workout with a bunch of guys, had a few beers, and we ended up at a restaurant about Str 21 just off Hun Sen park. After a great evening, and a few too many beers, I was walking across the park to flag down a moto, when a young woman approached me and struck up a conversation. She was looking for some quick money. I said that I only wanted yum yum long time. She said no. By this time another girl, taller and slimmer, had sidled into view, so the first girl called her over, explained what I wanted, and she agreed. LT till 9 am for $15. My judgment was a bit impaired by the [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), but what the heck?

We caught a moto to the hotel, no problem with walk of shame, girl got her gear off, we had a nice shower, and into the pit. She was not too good at bbbj, and kept offering her ****, doggie style. Eventually I conceded, hauled on a glove, and went for it. This happened a couple of times more during the night. All in all, a nice night, not pressured, good price. But next time I need to be a bit less pissed, it affects my judgment.

I stopped in for a quick look at Le Cyrcee, which is quite well known as a bbbj bar. Le Cyrcee is at #13, Str 49, just down from Str 130. It is more upmarket than Sophies, clean, well lit. The girls are better at conversation. There are rooms available, total cost is $2 for the room, $15 for the girl, anything goes. I did not try it on my visit after Sophies, so I cannot comment on their expertise.

I did not get a chance to check out Mikado, but it is in the same block as Le Cyrcee, opposite side, on the corner. Looked higher class from the outside.

I tried to find DV8 on Str 108, but it was not there. It is on Str 148, just in from Sisowath Quay. A nice, small bar downstairs, with lots of girls, probably 20 or so, and a pool table and open balcony upstairs. I was too buggered to try any of the girls. Two came over and we had a nice chat on the balcony, but nothing more.

but i missed out on the k-11 days and wanted something more local. i finally took up a moto driver on some unknown (to me) places. he drove me to sotheros, just south of sihanouk blvd, where the road angles a bit and there is a row of typical mid-rise asian housing. girls waiting outside. went to dude-san, said i wanted a younger girl, making it very clear if he brought me anyone **** i would walk out and call the police. he said i have girl and she speaks english! i waited in a little room on the first floor, just a bed, a toilet/shower and room to turn around. a locals place. girls came to the door just to check me out i think, one sort of snorted or huffed-hilarious, which was good 'cuz i kept waiting for a knock and cops to show up. yea, i was scared. and then he brought her.

Speaking of this. ("money on the side..university students")

Has anyone have any luck with the girls hanging out near campus? As I was walking back from the lake one early evening 2 girls we're between classes outside in the steet park. They gave me a look but I wimped out and didn't stop to chat. I figure the easiest thing to do is to ask them to dinner &/or Heart of Darkness after class.

partial reply from Pirate1:

I posted some additional reports about places and ladies but seems some other mongers on other threads (LOS, China etc.) were complaining about all my writing not "in english", complain to Jackson ? and many of my reports were deleted. I have fun writing in my"pirate" style as its therapy and enjoyment for me but if I keep posting and others complain and Jackson delete, well, seems I'm not going to post much anymore. If I can't enjoy myself then so be it.

Seems like many don't agree but I happen to also enjoy his wacky writing style and humor. With such great knowledge I think they should all cut him some slack about his writing style not being in perfect english. He will be greatly missed.---IMO

I seem to recall that Pirate claimed he could write English as well as any of us and that what we see is his 'writing style'. I would object to anyone's post being rejected because of an inability to write good English but can appreciate objections to atempts at writing in a 'funny'style.

It does seem that Pirate's presence on this forum is entirely in his own hands and it is his choice not to post here in plain English.

Just my two-penneth worth.

Hi Guys,

I am planning my first trip to Phnom Penh.

I really appriciate if you can advice me ona good hotel to stay in.

I am looking for hotel in good location, nice view is a plus.

It should be safe, clean, (a safe box in the room is good) and also internet access in the room (am I asking too much?

And most important - girl friendly. Also if the hotel has is own fish bowl place it will be very very nice, since it will always give me the default option if I am too tired to look around.

Really appriciate your help and I promise to send reports and photos as soon as I return.

BTW, can a visa be issued at the airport once I arrive?

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

I am planning my first trip to Phnom Penh.

I really appriciate if you can advice me ona good hotel to stay in.Hi Gilgil,

My personal preference, at the moment, is The Flamingo Hotel which meets all your criteria except the fishbowl. I think only one hotel ticks that box and I have never stayed there so will leave it to someone else to offer input.

The Flamingo has WiFi access in all rooms but it seems to get weak the higher you go. Up to floor two (third actual level) still has good signal and good response.

The roof-top bar is an absolute sanctuary, with pleasant breezes, as the sun starts to sink and you need to have refreshing beer before starting out on the serious business.

Visa can still be obtained on arrival at the main airports and, if you're arriving at Phnom Penh, it is worthwhile trying to be at the front of the queue as the wait can otherwise be quite infuriating.

Pirate, I'm not being pompous, but would you mind posting in English please?Above is an example of one. I also get these complaints from others from the China, and other Asian threads etc. Funny thing is almost none of the complainers had ever contributed any useful information to the Cambodian thread, so go figure. Many of the comments/complaints are also sent to me via PM. Sometimes I spend more time defending myself over my intentional "wacky pirated english style" that it's no longer fun anymore. Remember that when I was in-country I actually acted a bit like a pirate because it's my alter-ego. So, I have more fun writing in this style simply because the thoughts and feelings comes out exactly as I remembered them when I was a pirate.

And yes, I did say "Aarrg" when I was in Cambodia. The only thing I couldn't do was get a parrot to sit on my shoulders.

As all can see, I am quite literate and know the writing language well enough.
I have to be as I use to be an instructor and dealt with many reports during my lifetime.

If you haven't notice, I am NOT having a fun time writing in this common english you are all endeared to do since childhood. I prefer my own "fun" style, and yes, it's in English (as far as I know, I haven't typed in any Spanish or French or Thai words yet).

Like I said, if I can't have fun posting then why bother.

Like I said, if I can't have fun posting then why bother.Hi Pirate1,

Here's the answer to your question: You may be having "fun" writing your reports in some sort of ancient abandoned dialect, but none of us are having any fun trying to read them.

Now here's my question to you:

Why would any of us, your intended audience, "bother" to read your reports if they're impossible to understand?

Anyway, I accept that you're going to write your reports anyway that you want, so from now on I will try to translate them so that everybody else can read them.

Thanks,

I don't feel a strong need to weigh in one way or the other on the dispute over Pirate's writing style but I do appreciate the time Jackson is willing to spend translating. I don't think this solution is quite up there with Solomen's but it seems reasonable in light of the position a spectrum of readers has put Jackson in.

In response to Gilgil A's query about a place to stay I agree that Flamingo would be a good choice and can recommend strongly AGAINST the Paragon. While I enjoyed the balcony over looking the river and the help of the staff when a SW tried to steal my camera on the way out after a very unsatisfactory blowjob, the construction next door makes it impossible to sleep or enjoy the room after 7 am.

As the summer weather reduces the influx of visitors you might be able to get into California2 where Jim is a great help to first time visitors.

My thanks to Jackson from the AF

Although I don't like to enter into a debate on this forum, I ABSOLUTELY agree with the above post.
Many have also PM me saying the same thing. They all had fun "reading" all his enjoyable posts. Many have also said they had benefited from his experiences and posts. Isn't that what this forum was intended to do in the 1st place?
No offense but, what's with the need for a translation of his posts? I never had a problem reading any of them as many others have notice they are phonetically written in English and not some real foreign language. Remember: think like a pirate and "Ye shall understand him".

Choose to ignore Pirate's post if you like (putting him on your ignore list is your own choice--afterall it's a free country) but you will be missing out on very important mongering information and advise. I would say to give him some slack and let him have his fun writing so he could contribute more informative information for the rest of us.----IMO

BTW: Almost forgot to mention that many had also PM me thanking not only me but also Pirate1 for his many posts and advise. It kept many newbies to Cambodia safe from physical harm and they avoided alot of the scams that he had experienced--for that, I'd say "job well done".

Bottom line: Please guys, let's all "Lighten up" and let all the people who like reading Pirate1 posting continue to do so. As far as I know, pirate have never posted any false/bad information and have always helped anyone who had a question. Unlike many others on this forum who I noticed only whine and complain to increase their post counts and never truly contributed any useful information in the pursuit of our hobby.
Perhaps Jackson could crack down on this issue instead.

Jackson, I do know it's all in good intentions and I do appreciate all your efforts in regulating this board. I've come across many, many bad posts that's simply NOT in English (remembered a few in French and one in Jap or was it Chinese?) before they were deleted. Many others were just written in sloppy stupid English that absolutely everyone couldn't understand it. What's worst was the fact that they had absolutely no useful contents for anyone to learn from, just real stupid questions from idiots that no one understood.
Pirate1 is not in the same category as the above. (Most) of us actually enjoy his work and he had contributed alot of useful information in his short career here. I truly don't think he is doing this to spike you. He is just trying to have fun and also provide great information to all of us at the same time, it's something that's not easy to do.

I think that the problem isn't Pirate's reports specifically. It's that once you start to loosen the established standards, where do you stop.

Reading Pirate's unusually styled reports is not so difficult. But if very many posters started to use their own distinct "style", it would soon grow very tedious indeed.

For this reason I have to agree with Jackson's decision to censor Pirate.

I truly hope he continues to participate in the forum using his obviously excellent standard English.

Yes you hit the nail because this forum has certain standards to adhere to. Jackson is a stickler when it comes to proper grammer and punctuation. Pirate is delibertly going against the grain. Its not like he can write in perfectly good english unlike other non-english writers that try their best to eke out a report. The first few times he posted were a novelty but now it is getting old.

Enough of this debate. Why not take this controversy to the membership by conducting a poll!?

The writer's style is not clever, it's irritating. The content is not particularly informative or new either. Avoiding dangerous situations and rip-offs anywhere is a matter of common sense. Specific locations, prices, girls names, etc. are what the forum needs, not a writer's lame attempt to be colorful. Believe me, you will rub shoulders with enough colorful characters once you arrive. And usually avoid them.

I used to stay at the Scandic, which was renamed as Scandinavian after some legal wrangle, but I am assuming it is the one you are referring to. It was always such a fantastic oasis in Phnom Penh.

It was sold in the latter part of last year and, though I only visited for a beer on my last visit, seemed to have lost all of the qualities that drew me to it. As well as that the prices had been increased to a level that I cannot justify for Phnom Penh (I think it was up to $50).

I am sure that we all look for different qualities in a hotel but it might be worth anyone making some enquires before going for this old favorite.

Thanks for reminding me... it was Pirate who posted about getting threatened by guys with pipes at one of the places on Street 63, right after getting robbed in the room. I was just reminded by Orygunduk here who thinks that kind of information isn't important. Well, of course I disagree. I got taken to one of those places last year, and sure enough had the mystery hands appear through a crack in the door -- no threats, I was lucky. But that kind of post is exactly the most vital kind of information that's up here. I guess that post got deleted though. By the way, common sense had nothing to do with being in one of those: I'd been to those places before and it wasn't like that in the past.

What I'm put off by are the obnoxious flamers, the ones who post just to ridicule or belittle (usually attacking newbies). Now there's a rule that is explicitly spelled out in the forum rules, but it doesn't seem to get enforced. A pirate is a breath of fresh air next to guys like those.

HawkHoly Shit Batman, it sure ain't worth that! Thanks.

I used to stay at the Scandic... think it was up to $50.

Hawk

I stayed at the Scandic for a fortnight 18 months ago - it was great, nice and quiet, good food (I seem to remember the Swedish meatballs were very good) etc etc. $50 is taking the [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) though. I am pretty sure I paid about $25 (it could have been as high as $35, but definitely no more than that).

I am visiting there soon and would love to know about them!

I too, stayed at the Scandic hotel on my first visit to PP. The best things about the place was the bar and the food, both were fantastic. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor, next to the car park. Every time a moto drove in it sounded like it was in my room. The room was very old and very basic. Poor bathroom and very noisy aircon that was not cold. The pool was small with no shade. I did not get a free p/you from the airport as agreed when I booked. Would not stay again or recommend this place.

just checked their website and the room rates now start at $30 and go up to $55 for the "Double Royal with Private balcony". If you want internet access then they charge extra (though it does not say how much).

Now seems to be aimed at the 'upmarket' tourist rather than the mongerer. I stayed there about 15 times in the last 7 years and enjoyed just about every moment there.

The decor is now more stylish and the web site reflects the new image "http://www.scandinavia-hotel-cambodia.com/".

If they were to supply dancing girls and a nice warm, soft living bed warmer then I might be tempted!

Well the web site certainly looks attractive. I was going to stay at the FCC since I have a lot of lead time to book. In fact the FCC responded to my letter, saying no problem with joiners. However, would appreciate comments from those of you who could compare the two. Cost is not an issue. Wont be there until Dec., but do like to get organized well in advance. So for a senior aged, adventurous traveler, looking to be comfortable...which one gets the nod?

Just a few lines of my experiences on a brief side trip to Cambodia a few months ago. Spent most of my days in Thailand as usual but Cambodia is an interesting country. Not a place to spend a long time. 10 days was sufficient for me. Flew to SR, then bus to PP and Sihannoukville and back to PP, very easy and convenient.
Checked out Martini’s but very few people there and didn’t like the ambience so left for Sharky’s. More my kind of place, a normal bar with freelance girls. Rejected two before I took a slim and cute 24 year old Khmer back to the hotel. Very nice and accommodating, but much lower service when back in the room. No BJ and rather dull. Also had an ugly scare from a caesarean operation. Wanted to leave after the first round, which was just as well. Have to negotiate the terms better in the future. Stayed at Flamingo as recommended in the board, and can fully agree. They called from the reception when she left to check if I was ok.

Rooms at Scandia aren't very good, the pool and oasis-like, friendly atmosphere were the main draws. Like I said, I'd stay at the Flamingo.

I wouldn't worry about bringing girls in to any hotel, it's when you don't bring a girl in that you will get funny looks. Only time I ever got a girl refused was when I brought a couple of Martini girls to Golden Gate, turns out quite a few NGO's put their workers up there. Moved out the next day.

I would feel funny bringing girls to FCC, so I never stayed there. Too many non-monger tourists at the restaurant.

Be sure to include a trip to Snooky, I think you'd like it. Nice beach and plenty of girls.

Thanks. The PARIS HOTEL on Kampuchea Krom (not to be confused with The New Paris Hotel on the same street) has decent, large rooms for $15. My 8th flor room was an end room with a great view of a tree lined, residential boulevard with Boeung Kak Lake (marsh actually) beyond.

There is a reasonably well stocked massage fishbowl on the 3rd floor ofering in room massage for $7 an hour. Additional services are negotiated between you and your selected maiden. They start high, sometimes asking as much as $40 FS, but will usually settle for $20. I am not a particularly tough bargainer so less might be possible. Quality of service varies girl to girl.

Wifi was not available when I stayed there in March.

Kampuchea Krom is a business area with little nightlife aside from several hotel casinos but the ever-present moto drivers out front know every bar and den in Phnom Phen.

They will pick you up at the Airport but now charge for the service.

I really liked the Flamingo Hotel. Book in advance and the driver will pick you up at the airport. It's not on the river and doesn't have a fishbowl but it is very close to Walkabout and many other clubs/bars in that area. The hotel is very clean and affordable with decent internet access in the lobby. http://www.flamingos.com.kh/

My favorite Phnom Penh experiences:

Sophie's bar
La Cyrcee Bar
Martini's

Enjoy!

Just one problem-usually full. There are some security issues at Flamingos; I've had a mobile stolen from my room and a friend had his digital camera stolen from the wardrobe in his room even though he had put a bicycle chain on the doors. Apparantly the thief unscrewed the door hinges.

Mr Kim was apologetic but pointed out that the rooms have signs warning residents to use the lockboxes at the reception desk, so if you do stay there, make sure you use the lockboxes for all your valuables including passports and airline tickets. They do have some that are large enough to hold a notebook computer.

An interesting sidelite re: Passports. The reason stolen ones are a hot commodity is not that they change them to another name, it is that they need the well used looking covers and pages with entry and exit stamps to make a newly made one look more authentic.

I know that I am a fan of Flamingos, but I would say that all hotels have a security problem to a certain extent.

I always keep my phone with me and so the only opportunity for theft would be when I have someone in my room. I leave my irreplaceables in the security box and keep no more than a few hundred dollars in my room (but never on full view). Maybe I have been lucky with the guests that have returned with me but most of this is down to common sense.

I have left my camera in room during the day, on bedside table, and have had no problem with general staff. I do try to maintain a rapport with the staff, including the cleaners, and they know that there will be a nice tip at the end of my stay. This does allow me to feel much more relaxed during my stay.

On my last stay I did leave my laptop in the wardrobe, inside a small case, and did feel a little vulnerable. I thought about using a bike chain, and was thinking of doing the same when I return next time. After reading your report, I am not so sure; maybe the chain just draws attention to the contents!!

I have heard guest at the hotel being extremely vocal about how his credit card had been stolen by the staff from under his mattress. This was maintained for a day telling anyone, and everyone, who would listen. When his card turned up, in another of his 'hiding places' he was nowhere near as vocal. The result of this is that people are left believing there is a bigger problem than there actually is.

The "central market pharmacies" -

The traffic around the central market runs counterclockwise. There is a turn to the left (a corner) which IF you didn't take the turn would take you DIRECTLY to street 51 (Pasteur) it's street 136 See the map in the link - it's right at the BOTTOM of the market in this map.

http://www.yellowpages-cambodia.com/maps/phnompenh/centralmarket/

The pharmacies are on both sides of the street but the one on the right side (going to street 51) with the boxes of pills in the window was the cheapest place I found. there is a quantity discount, but I didn't figure exactly how much "quantity" there had to be to get "better prices" (either that or they just gave me the "quantity discount" anyway - I did spend $30 or so)

They sell both "apsalis" (cialis generic - about 2X the price as "XXagra") and several "XXagra" versions - XX is the "name" - Kam, Pen, Gen, whatever. They were the lowest cost of the 4 pharms I asked

DO NOT BUY "CHINESE BLUE DEVILS" ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!! I suspect they are cornstarch in blue wrappers. Get the INDIAN product in the box and check the expiration date

Well, I made it to Cambodia about 6 months ago, stayed about 3 days in the shithole named Phnom Penh. Stayed at the Flamingo hotel, which is walking distance from a few bars (not to mention a massage parlor across the street). Anyway, on to the good stuff:

Sophies - tried this out the first night. Directions were spot on, walked up the dirty filthy stairway and knocked on the door at about 6. They let me in, and I was surprised at just how small the bar was. It has one or two couches, and a small bar where about 7 or 8 people can sit down. I take a seat, order a beer, and within seconds my dick is out and 3 ladies are arguing over who gets to suck me off first. This goes on for about 10 minutes, then I choose the best looking one to go back to the room. The other 2 asked for a tip --- 3 dollars. I was like wtf I thought it was only a dollar each (as reported on this forum). Anyway, we go back to the dingy room, turn the lights off and the girl gives me a great bbbj followed by FS - 10 bucks.

Le Cyrcee --- this place is a hell of a lot better than Sophies. I actually found it by accident; walked in about 7 pm, sat down at the bar and had a drink. The bar is a decent size, with stools behind the bar as well and a sitting area in the corner. I was the only guy in there so about 10 ladies were molesting me at the same time. Nice. They each let me feel their breasts (and other parts) while I was drinking a beer. So difficult to choose, but then this hot little Vietnamese girl walked in. I think her name started with an A but I'm not sure. Really big tits and cute. A bit short, but very nice. Walked upstairs and the room was okay, although the ceilings are really low. BBBJ which was just okay at best, then she put an extra big condom on. I mean this thing was HUGE, big enough for a fucking horse! I told her that I actually had my own but she wasn't hearing any of it. She's a really great fuck, though. Great tits. $10 for her, and I think it was $5 for the room. When I walked back down to the bar there were about 15 girls -- and they were all hot. Here's her pic - she's the girl at the very front in red: http://www.bayonpearnik.com/cyrceeclub/index.html

Sharky's - this place is a pretty cool place to hang out. Not too many lookers, though. A lot of uglies in this place, but if you tell them to fuck off then they'll leave you alone. I started talking to this hot Vietnamese girl, but she was asking $40 for ST. She eventually told me $30, but that's still too much. She finally agreed to bring her friend (who was also hot) over to my place for $30. I waited but the ***** never showed up. Still, a pretty good bar - it also has an outside area to hang out when it's not raining.

Street 63 - Well, one night when I was a bit drunk and horny, I stepped out of a bar and one of the moto drivers asked me "You want beautiful girl to fuck you?" I looked at him and said "Yeah but only Vietnam girl. No Khmer." So he took me to Street 63. Walked up to some building and the lights went on and a bell went off when I walked up. Walked up some stairs and saw about 10 Vietnamese girls sitting around a room. The oldest was about 25, the youngest couldn't have been more than 8 years old. Disgusting. The guy told me "You fuck for $30." But seeing the 8-year old just made me feel sorry for the girls. Walked out as fast as I could and went to bed.

Rose Bar --- I don't think you can fuck any of these girls, but they serve good food and it's the only place I know of where you can get beer lao in the bottle, the greatest beer in all of Asia (IMO). Talked to a few of the girls; they were quite nice but I just don't know what the deal is and didn't want to ask because I liked coming there.

Shanghai bar -- This is right by the Flamingo. Good bar with drinks written in chalk on the menu above the bar. The girls are pretty hot, and talked to one of them for about an hour, but at the end of the night when I told her that I wanted to take her home she wasn't having any of it. "I don't go home with anyone" she said. I was a bit annoyed - well, really annoyed but I guess that'll teach me not to ask what the score is up front. Pretty good bar with outside seating, but only one pool table.

All in all a good trip. I'd say Sharky's is hit and miss, but Le Cyrcee was the highlight for me. Much prettier girls there than the shithole Sophie's.

Hi Sovann,

I was the one you took to Martini, 63th Street etc... and your brother picked me up in Siem Reap. Sorry to hear your business is slow. I think PP can be a very nice place for sexcapades with your service.

I am thinking of going to PP again in a month or so with a few friends. Please explain where one could go to find the best selections of females for ST, LT...and how much it would cost....

You know Cambodia well. What would you recommend a few guys to do to have a fun time with beautiful girls in PP, SV and SR???? Where to stay? Where to eat? Where to hang out? Where to find the prettiest pussies that offer the best services at reasonable prices???

I like the Martini format a lot. Quiet, relaxing, drinking, watching movies outdoors, pretty girls, low prices....I took a few girls from Martini and they were all nice and sweet. The girls there prefer doing a lot of ST to LT. Every city in the world should have a few bars like Martini...

Or how about lining up a few pretty semipro to escort visiting mongers? You can charge a good fee for that service. I would take on a new girl all day everyday so I can have company to go around with, and have sex when I feel like...

Good luck to you.

Excuse me, where do everybody has gone to? I haven't business is almost one month now. I would like some job to earn money for living. Hope some one will hire me one day or twos in nearer.

The asking price was 3-4 USD per box of 4 pills, and I was able to bargain down to 4 boxes of various brands for 10 USD.

There are at least 3-4 different varieties of these pills from India.

Well, it belongs maybe not in this thread, but as it’s getting already discussed here:
What happens when you take XXagra on a regular basis over the years? I mean will the effectiveness decrease? For the moment 50mg is more then enough to get an erection even after 20 Beers, but what is in ‘bout 10-20 years? Need I then 100mg or even 200mg, same like those folks who take antibiotics every time they think they’re a little bit unwell?

Yes, these girls will leave with you if they like you, that shouldn't be a problem or wasn't for me anyway. I was in this bar and the others in that area from 6-9pm and was in some places the only customer during those hours. Had the pick of the litter.

I am an early riser, not a big drinker so like to get it on a bit earlier. Had to pay a $10 barfine to take the girl out early, was around 8:30 pm. If you wait until latenight, After midnight I think, no barfine. I think all the bars work on a similar basis.

Anyway, best to get the price agreed on before any commitments are made. I paid the girl I took $25, no negotiations, and she was happy with this since I went back and paid bar on another night with her.

The reason I mention negotiating before hand is I took one back from DV8 bar and gave her the same amount in the early morning as I was getting ready to catch a bus for Siem Reap. The girl looked at the money, gives the $5 back and say's, "No, $40. " I started to argue but ended up giving her $35 to avoid a big scene. Chaulk it up to experience.

BTW, DV8 bar had a $10 barfine for early takeout.

A full morning of seeing genocidal stuff really dampened my spirits during my recent visit to Phnom Penh. Wanting desperately to get a lift, made a visit to Mikado. It was around 7.30 pm and not very crowded. Sat at the bar and surveyed the horizon whilst sipping a drink.

Not long after, two scantily clad women came and sat near me. Bought them a drink and had some small talk. One was desperate to make me horny by resting her breasts on my arm.

Didn’t find anything that interested me too much. Came out and spoke to a few moto guys. One guy recommended Natari, and took me there.

I was given a menu which included the charges for various types of massages. The girls were seated inside a well-lit long glass cubicle resembling a fish tank.

I opted for the lowest massage of US$ 5 and selected a 22 year old slim fair Khmer girl. She took me to a room which was extremely clean. It was clear from the outset that both of us were looking for something more than a mere massage. After a bath together, we had a good 30 minute FS session on the bed. Good GFE, and she could communicate reasonably well in English. Cost : US$ 5 + US$ 20 to the girl.

Would have done a repeat, but Siem Reap beckoned.

thought i would add my experiences at brothels in p.penh where my valuables were targeted for theft. there were 2 different brothels, one on 63st, the other on 154st.
fortunately i got away scot-free on each occasion, but it could have been so different.

the first brothel was at number 99d in str 63 where a mildly aggressive pimp solicits you as you walk by, with an offer of $5usd sex. up 2 fights of steps and into a fishbowl arrangement of about 10 young girls i picked mai, 19yrs, from siem reap who said her mother was viet and father khmer. paid my $5 to the pimp and proceeded to the room.

having read reports of stealing from brothels in 63 st i was wary, but still pretty green, as this was my first brothel experience in pp. i carry a small bag around with me, which i put my moneybelt and camera inside, and which i lock through the zipper eyelets. i do take care to only carry minimal cash with me, the rest i leave back in the hotel.

after stripping off, i placed the locked bag in the corner of the room at the foot of the bed furthest from the door. thinking i was being smart i didn’t place it on the hooks right next to the door where a hand could easily reach in from the door and take it. what i didn’t know was that these guys will slide along the floor out of sight, under the cover of the bed to get at your gear.

the girl started off giving me a really strange massage, mainly a percussion type of massage of my head. this was obviously to make it difficult for me to hear the thief open the door to get at my gear. and she would place my head so i was looking down at the bed as well, and not so my head was looking back towards the door.
after a few minutes of this absolutely fucked massage, i heard a familiar, but soft clinking of the zipper on my bag. ie, the bag was on the move! i immediately got up off the bed to check the security of the bag, and to my shock, it was gone. holy crap! these guys are good! i didn’t even hear anyone enter the room. i shouted at the girl, “where is my bag” and she pointed out the door. so i looked outside the door and there it was. what a relief! there was my bag, all alone, and the combination lock hadn’t even been tampered with.

so it appears that the game here is to grab your gear while you are doing the deed in the room. remove all your excess cash, and then place your gear back in the room without you even knowing it. very hard to prove that they had stolen anything, so tough luck for you.

for me, the fact that i had discovered my bag was missing within 10 seconds of it actually being moved plus the fact that i had locked it probably saved me. it appears that they were not interested in knicking the bag, because then i definitely would have called the police, and that might have been trouble for them. by the way, the girl acted “shocked” that someone had taken my bag.

the second incident occurred at a brothel on 154 st. located just west of norodom blvd on the south side, there were 2 brothels next to each other, with a good selection of reasonably cute and fresh viet and khmer chicks. $10 a pop. after selecting jin from saigon who was longer limbed than most of the others, with a fantastic set of tits, the pimp did a strange thing and took us to the brothel next door. this was probably to get me into the “thieving room”. that is, where it was easiest to knock off my gear. after stripping off, i noticed a closed door to an adjoining room, and a 1 inch crack at the top of the door. and who was peering through the crack? yes the pimp! he was obviously not admiring my impressive schlong, but observing where i was stashing my goodies. i shouted at him to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off, and he soon did. then i locked the door to the room, blocked the crack with some clothes and put my moneybelt at the head of the bed. didn’t have any problems after that.

so some recommendations:

first, never let your valuables out of your sight. always place your valuables on the bed near your head, so they always in view.

second, lock the damned door! the doors have locks on them. use them. third, always carry your valuables into the wash room. again, don’t give the theives access to unattended gear.

fourth, beware red flags like strange massages around the head region; the girl dismissing herself from the room supposedly to take a [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134), but more likely to inform the thief on where you are stashing your gear in the room.

now that i know the score in these places i have no hestitations in returning. pussy was great. really fresh girls with great racks. these are the types of girls you see in the pattaya go-go bars that cost a fortune to bar fine and then have to pay an exorbitant st fee, where there is not much change from 1600 baht. here in ppenh, they are a great bargain, the equivalent of 175baht ($5usd) to 350baht ($10usd).
will post photos of both these girls in the photo gallery.

and a query: does anyone have the actual address numbers of the brothels in st 63? i have read here that there are 4 viet brothels in this street. thanks.

Thought I would add my experiences at brothels in P.Penh where my valuables were targeted for theft. There were 2 different brothels, one on 63st, the other on 154st.
Fortunately I got away scot-free on each occasion, but it could have been so different.

Hmm , after all my reports about these places there will always be the curious ones that still go there.
Glad you are safe (despite all my warnings) and nothing stolen.
Still don't know why you still want to pay them to keep these thieves in business instead of spending your money to support honest ones?????

Anyway, most of the brothels I had visited in the past are closed (and since the scams are same, then it's the same thieving pimps open up elsewhere. Not too hard to find them as they will often approach you instead. The pushier the pimp, the more they want your money (to steal that is).

If you had read my previous reports, I intentionally visited many brothels there and 100% of the time I had some money missing. (I deliberately left a few dollars in my pockets just to see how it was done and perhaps find an honest place at St63 to report about, but never found even one).

BTW: I was never afraid of having a few things stolen from me but if you had read Pirate1 reports he almost got killed or beat up when he caught on to their scheme at these brothels. Just to let you know that your money is not the only thing you can lose here. Remember that life is cheap in Cambo. They will not hesitate to whack you for a few dollars. Also, don't expect the police to help you if something do go wrong as I've heard they are often in on the scam to profit from it--in fact, they could be the ones to make you "disappear forever" to protect their profits. This happened when I visited Cambo last year (I won't disclose location or city) but an Aussie was missing and was last seen with a few plainclothes police officers??--maybe they were and maybe not, who knows. But the Aussie"s body was never found. If losing your life or getting beat up is worth saving a few dollars at these places then the choice is yours to make.---IMO

These 63rd Street spots were not like this just a few years ago. The deal was as advertised, then, at least in my own experience. I wouldn't compare what was on offer to what you'd find in BKK go-gos, then at least. But in Feb 2005 I had the same experience described often here, and was lucky to catch the mysterious arm in the act of trying to grab my pants. A moto driver had taken me there that night, only because my regular driver stood me up on our appointment (he claimed to know the spot my regular was going to take me to - he didn't). Bad luck for me.

Anyway, unless the quality of the talent on 63rd St has risen dramatically in the last 2 yrs, which I doubt, definitely you can find much better in even the cheapest spots in PP (such as Martini's, Walkabout, etc.).

Otherwise I guess you could wear your moneybelt around your waist during the act, and I suppose then that she'd be doing a lot of back massage during the act, with someone standing there to receive the cash as she handed it over. Really, not sure how anyone could enjoy this kind of struggle. Maybe some do. I guess if you do like that kind of thing, 63rd St is the place for you. ;-)

But basically, this was a cheap and bottom-of-the-barrel experience in the early 2000s and prior, and sometime around 2004-2005 it changed to the scam it is now. Even when it was "good", it was barely worth going to.

the whole family with 4 kids were eating lunch on the filthy kitchen floor. the viet girl took me into her room then suggested i leave all my clothes on the shelves next to the door.

thanks to info in isg i knew some pro's would sneak through the door and lift my wallet, so i refused. the girl insisted again that i leave the clothes next to the door. fuck that. i had my clothes and my wallet bundled up on the bed and i kept my hand on it while i gave the girl her $5 fuck of her life.

i was scared shitless thoughout the fuck that some assholes would steal my wallet and passport. but i made it through ok. on the way out, saw 3 farangs sitting in the pink-neon lighted room ogling the girls. would not do it again for security reason. if they are bold enough to steal your wallets intheir own home, they are capable of the nastiest tricks.

the first brothel was at number 99d in str 63 where a mildly aggressive pimp solicits you as you walk by, with an offer of $5usd sex. up 2 fights of steps
so some recommendations:

It would seem to me that the way to deal with this crap would simply be to show up at these *****houses with nothing but $5-10 cash (maybe carrying a photocopy of your passport), wearing a T-shirt and gym shorts, leaving your wallet and passport back in the hotel safe.

Actually, Member, that is the best way to visit any brothel.

I almost never carry my wallet or passport(s) anywhere I go, much less into a brothel. Similarly I only carry 1,500 baht or so when going out for the evening in Pattaya. Back home it is standard practice when picking up streetwalkers to remove anything of a personal nature from the car, and keep your wallet in the trunk.

fortunately i got away scot-free on each occasion, but it could have been so different.

the first brothel was at number 99d in str 63 where a mildly aggressive pimp solicits you as you walk by, with an offer of $5usd sex. up 2 fights of steps and into a fishbowl arrangement of about 10 young girls i picked mai, 19yrs, from siem reap who said her mother was viet and father khmer. paid my $5 to the pimp and proceeded to the room.

having read reports of stealing from brothels in 63 st i was wary, but still pretty green, as this was my first brothel experience in pp. i carry a small bag around with me, which i put my moneybelt and camera inside, and which i lock through the zipper eyelets. i do take care to only carry minimal cash with me, the rest i leave back in the hotel.

after stripping off, i placed the locked bag in the corner of the room at the foot of the bed furthest from the door. thinking i was being smart i didn’t place it on the hooks right next to the door where a hand could easily reach in from the door and take it. what i didn’t know was that these guys will slide along the floor out of sight, under the cover of the bed to get at your gear.

the girl started off giving me a really strange massage, mainly a percussion type of massage of my head. this was obviously to make it difficult for me to hear the thief open the door to get at my gear. and she would place my head so i was looking down at the bed as well, and not so my head was looking back towards the door.
after a few minutes of this absolutely fucked massage, i heard a familiar, but soft clinking of the zipper on my bag. ie, the bag was on the move! i immediately got up off the bed to check the security of the bag, and to my shock, it was gone. holy crap! these guys are good! i didn’t even hear anyone enter the room. i shouted at the girl, “where is my bag” and she pointed out the door. so i looked outside the door and there it was. what a relief! there was my bag, all alone, and the combination lock hadn’t even been tampered with.

so it appears that the game here is to grab your gear while you are doing the deed in the room. remove all your excess cash, and then place your gear back in the room without you even knowing it. very hard to prove that they had stolen anything, so tough luck for you.

for me, the fact that i had discovered my bag was missing within 10 seconds of it actually being moved plus the fact that i had locked it probably saved me. it appears that they were not interested in knicking the bag, because then i definitely would have called the police, and that might have been trouble for them. by the way, the girl acted “shocked” that someone had taken my bag.

the second incident occurred at a brothel on 154 st. located just west of norodom blvd on the south side, there were 2 brothels next to each other, with a good selection of reasonably cute and fresh viet and khmer chicks. $10 a pop. after selecting jin from saigon who was longer limbed than most of the others, with a fantastic set of tits, the pimp did a strange thing and took us to the brothel next door. this was probably to get me into the “thieving room”. that is, where it was easiest to knock off my gear. after stripping off, i noticed a closed door to an adjoining room, and a 1 inch crack at the top of the door. and who was peering through the crack? yes the pimp! he was obviously not admiring my impressive schlong, but observing where i was stashing my goodies. i shouted at him to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off, and he soon did. then i locked the door to the room, blocked the crack with some clothes and put my moneybelt at the head of the bed. didn’t have any problems after that.

so some recommendations:

first, never let your valuables out of your sight. always place your valuables on the bed near your head, so they always in view.

second, lock the damned door! the doors have locks on them. use them. third, always carry your valuables into the wash room. again, don’t give the theives access to unattended gear.

fourth, beware red flags like strange massages around the head region; the girl dismissing herself from the room supposedly to take a [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134), but more likely to inform the thief on where you are stashing your gear in the room.

Maybe yes, maybe no, so best to be on the safe side.
These pimps and gals and their scams are getting more bold and violent (unlike in the past). Just reading back on some of the reports on these places going back only 1 year and you can see some members were threaten with violence when they caught on to their tactics. (from my own experiences, I've NEVER felt totally safe or relaxed at any of these brothels on St63.)
Who knows what they are capable of doing these days if they suspect you are now "cheating them" by not bringing more money with you. Remember these are all crooks and not honest people. A pissed off crook is the worst kind of people.

We all heard news stories even in our own "civilized" home country about muggers beating or killing people simply because you wasted their time without having enough money on you for them to steal. Now we are talking about Cambo, a 3rd world poor nation where the average daily salary is $1-3/day, so who knows what can happen to you.

Like I said before, it's your choice and your life, but at least you have all been warned. For me, I prefer to pay a little extra and enjoy, be relaxed and not having to worry all the while I'm there if someone is going to steal my stuff or put a knife in my back.

“Thank you for your reports, but why you did not take these girls to your place? Was it possible?” I never considered taking any of these brothel girls back to my hotel. I just wanted a brothel experience. For me the downsides to taking them back to your hotel often outway the upsides. First, the extra cost to get them out of the brothel (don’t even know if it was possible, but I suppose it is as they will sell anything to you in Cambodia). Second, I prefer to make a mess in the brothel rather than back in my hotel. Also these girls aren’t very personable, so the less time spent with them the better. For me it was just a slip it in, slip it out, then go on my way.

However, I don’t have any problems bringing Martini or Sharkey girls back to my hotel. In my short visit to Phnom Penh, I took 2 Martini girls. The first I took back to my hotel (I posted her in the Photo gallery a few days ago). The second, I didn’t feel like taking back to my hotel, so we took a short time hotel only 2 minutes away (north) from Martini’s by moto. This is a good option for Martini girls. $5 for a nice and clean hotel-like room at a guesthouse, and 2 rubbers thrown in as well. The moto driver took us there for 500R, waited till we had finished and then drove us back to Martini’s where I dropped off the girl, and then the driver took me back to Central P. Penh for $1.

It would seem to me that the way to deal with this crap would simply be to show up at these *****houses with nothing but $5-10 cash (maybe carrying a photocopy of your passport), wearing a T-shirt and gym shorts, leaving your wallet and passport back in the hotel safe.I totally agree with recent posts suggesting you take minimal valuables to brothels.

In my home country, I take the exact cash I need, and leave my watch at home. No valuables whatsoever. Prior to me implementing this “policy”, I have had $20 cash taken out of my trouser pockets while I was in the shower on 2 occasions, and there was nothing I could do about it. Never again!

As for 3rd world brothels, I always like to take my camera to get pictures of the girls. So I usually take my camera, and some extra cash (minimal), and then keep an eye on them. All other goodies such as passport, debit cards, cash etc, are left back in my hotel room locked inside my bag. In theory it would be best to take the exact cash to these P. Penh brothels and leave everything of value back at the hotel.

Anyway, unless the quality of the talent on 63rd St has risen dramatically in the last 2 yrs, which I doubt, definitely you can find much better in even the cheapest spots in PP (such as Martini's, Walkabout, etc.). The 3 brothel girls I took had better bodies than the 2 Martini girls I went with. Not to say that there weren’t better Martini girls. However the Martini girls definitely had somewhat better attitudes. It is also easier in a brothel to pick your girl of choice rather than having to make uneasy contact at a place like Martini’s.

These pimps and gals and their scams are getting more bold and violent (unlike in the past).Personally I never felt physically threatened. To me it is more like a game. Who can outsmart the other. Maybe I am wrong as I only spent 1 week in Cambodia. Just be cool and don’t act in an angry or threatening manner and you should be right.

Has anyone purchased any pills in Phnom Penh that have proved to be genuine? It would be good to know the price paid and from where. All input appreciated.

HawkI usually stock-up on KAMAGRA when in PP. I pay $1.60 per pack/4 when I buy ten packs. I always go to SOPEA PHARMACY or VIMOL PHARMACY near the Central Market my first day in town and buy one pack of the current batch in stock and over the next few days dedicate myself to thouroughly testing them.
I have found that there are variations batch to batch in affectiveness and the duration both of the time it takes them to start working and how long the effect lasts.

In Feburary, the pills went from blue to green and I noticed that the taste of the coating was more pronounced and more "painty". They seemed to take a long time to "peak", sometimes two hours or more and the duration was shorter; they just didn't seem as powerful as before. Interestingly, in the morning, there seemed to be a rebound and I'd be ready to pole-vault around the room but it didn't last all that long.

Last month, the pills went back to blue but still had the painty taste. These seemed even a bit less affective than the previous green ones, I found that it would take 1 1/2 pills to get the same effect that I'd get from one last year; OK, I've aged, but not that much. Just to be sure, I recently took a PANAGRA from a pack purchased in Thailand last year, it started working within 45 minutes and kept working all night.

I'll still purchase KAMAGRA in PP because at $.40 cents a pill, I don't mind taking an extra half if needed. The best price I've found in Bangkok is B300/4. thats $2.20 a pill at todays exchange rates, not an insignificant difference.

I suggest people do what I do and purchase a sample and test it out with any of the more than willing research assistants that PP has on offer.

Hi there Prince,

Do you know if the place is open all day or just in the evening like Cyrcee etc?

HawkI was there in the early afternoon a year ago and though it was open, the selection was pretty poor.

They started with a "Highball" quote of $30, no "yum-yum". I negotiated it down to $15 but realized it wasn't going to be a whole lot of fun and split.

There is a "fishbowl" on the third floor the PARIS HOTEL on Kampuchea Krom, open from just past noon. They have some very decent Viet and Khmer girls.

The "massage" is $7.00, extras negotiable with the girls. They are used to Asian high-rollers who frequent the casino on the second floor and start high. One particularly beautiful Viet started at $50 and wouldn't budge from $40,...I settled for the massage. Others have always ended up settling for $20 f/s.

A couple of times when I found I wasn't that enthusiastic about a girl, I've tried holding out for $15 but was never sucessful.

By the way, though away from the action in a business district, PARIS has very decent rooms for $15.

Do not confuse it with the NEW PARIS HOTEL, also on Kampuchea Krom.

Just to confirm what I read below.

Sophie: Given my gueshouse is 1 mns away, I paid a visit last week. "No Room, Website" is what mama said. Apparently some retard said women were dancing naked in there and police gave them some heat. If you are still deperate for russian roulette BJ, it mostly happens at the counter with Mama watching you; ) Some people may like.

Vietnam brothels: I have been to the one in "coconut street". Not sure of the name of the street, but there are many coconut vendors on each side. The brothel is in the basement, with many girls on the waiting room on the left. As very well described, experienced the routine of getting massage loudly while you are on your back, and someone trying to enter to get your stuff. I stopped the scam before it happened but turning around and the massage girl was scared to death. Nevertheless gave me excellent service for a good tip. As well advised, just take 5 or 6 bucks with you, close the doors and put your pants by your side.

I was staying in DV8 for 2 nights.

They have about 15 girls I guess. But it is a small pub. So whatever you wanna do with the lady will be visible to all the other customer (if they have) or lady.

So this does not make me feel comfortable.

1st night:

Went to Martini, pick up a Vietnamese girl.

Short, about 152cm, young, about 18 yrs old & quite cute.
Have a ST with her at one of the guesshouse near Martini. Paid the biker 1 USD & guesshouse owner 5 USD for 1 hour.

Yum-yum & boom-boom, tried almost all position.

Paid her 30 USD. In fact I had overpaid. ST rate should be only 20 USD.

Conclusion: 7 / 10

2nd night:

Thinking of getting one girl from DV8, coz lazy to go out.

She is not so pretty, but ask for 40 USD for LT, & I have to pay 10 USD bar fine because it is before 10pm. Got [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off & went to Martini again.

Picked up one local Khmer / chinese girl.

Beautiful face & cheerful character. Never get bored.

Brought her back to DV8, to show off :)

Yum-yum & boom boom for 1st round. Cum on her body.

Second day morning, yum-yum & boom boom for 2nd round, CIM, great !

Paid her 40 USD + 5USD for tips.

Conclusion: 7.5 / 10

Not only taxi drivers but alot of motodops. They get a cut of the take stolen from you. Even if you caught them in the act then the drivers still get a commission from the brothels for bringing you there so it's a "win/win" situation for the drivers.

Note: not all drivers are dishonest. Just ask for a recommendation at your hotel desk.

Went bar hopping Sunday afternoon along the river front. Lots of good bars and pretty girl staffs in lots of them. Particularily enjoyed Rory's Irish Bar. Good beer and again cute bar staff. Ended up late afternoon/early evening at DV 8.

We went upstairs to the balcony. There were 3 of us. We each saw some cute girls and had 1 sit by each of us and drank beers. The girls were fun to be with and chatty. Probably stayed there for 1 1/2 hours with the girls. 1 guy had to leave to meet his girlfriend. Me and my mate took the girl we were with back to our hotel for more fun. We paid the $10 barfine (before 11pm, after 11pm $5) and off to the hotel.

Won't tell you the girl's name I was with as she has a boy friend. She was lots of fun to be with. We showered back at the room and then went to the bed. She gave me a wonderful bbbj. Great technique and suction. Just the way I like it. She got me off with that great bbbj. We paused then for some refreshments for awhile.

Round 2, I attacked her clit with my tongue and got her aroused. Switched to 69 and she got me hard again. Capped and off to town in a wonderful pussy. Not too tight and not too loose; just right :):). Did multiple positions over the 30 minutes until we both popped.

We finished our refreshments and went to sleep. Round 3 in the morning began with my dick in her mouth. Being the morning and just wanting to "get off", just pumped her pussy until I popped a 3d time. We then both cleaned up and I sent her on her merry way with $20 and got her digits.

I had so much fun with her that i called her up to come on over the next evening. That night was a wonderful repeat performance of the night before. Again paid her $30 the next morning for barfine and for herself. Funds worth while! !

My first night in Phnom Pen, I met up with some experienced British guys. Very nice guys who had traveled around Cambodia before. Also into good clean fun with the girls.

I tagged along with them to DV8 Bar in the Riverfront section on Street 148. Hotel upstairs, hostess bar downstairs. You can buy the ladies drinks, then you pay an exit fee, and you negotiate with the girls for extra services. The girls are free not to go with you, and they are free to not sleep with even if you pay the bar fine and take them out. This can make for some confusion. Beware.

(The hostess concept – pay a woman for her time, and to be on your arm out, but without sex, is an import from Thailand, and a scenario I never enjoyed. The down and dirty and some places "simple" sex scene of Phnom Pen will be eroding. The Thai style will continue to infiltrate. Maybe I will rant on this later. No matter what, I am blessed to be able to make the best of most situations).

As I learned the ropes at DV8, I settled on a thin Khymer babe, bought her a drink ($3 lady drinks) and introduced her to my British buds. We played a game of pool – boy do I stink at pool – yikes.

After the drink and the pool game, I sat to cut the deal with my first piece in Cambodia and I learned that she was on the rag. I could not believe it. She made me promise to come back for her in four days. I told the Brits, and finally they could not keep a straight face, and we all laughed.

The Brits had little success also (DV8 that night was just not happening.) and we left for Rose Bar (I believe it is on Street 108 – also in the river front section). Nice row of bars. Rose Bar is also a confusing hostess scene. $10 bar fine before 11 pm and $5 after 11 pm. I was feeling the frustration. I like to walk in, pick and leave (there is plenty of that too in the city, as I will describe some other time).

In the back of Rose Bar there is a pool table. Some hostesses (or whatever they are – the term hostess has too many definitions in the confusing vernacular of SE Asia and Phnom Pen), run the table. My friend calls them Barbie dolls. All glammed up. Pretty pretty.

There were three hotties back there. One Khymer girl was dressed in high heels, black mini, black top. Make up, hair up, false eyelashes, the works. She could shoot pool too. So pretty to watch her sink the shots, with that ass jutting out. Her name was Nari, and they partnered me up with her. Gulp. (At DV8, Tim had brushed me up on pool). I ended up getting lucky and properly sinking the 8 ball with a behind the back shot for a win, to the delight of the 20 people in the pool room.

As the games progressed, I finally asked Nari to come back to my hotel. She looked me up and down, smiled coyly and said yes. I was glad, because sometimes in Cambodia and all the world it can be tough to get laid in a *****house, even with a fist full of fifties. It was after 2 am, and the bar was closing. She asked for my hotel name and room number and said she would meet me. We think this was to avoid the bar fine. I was unsure she would show. Her English was poor to fair. We did not talk price.

I left the British boys at about 2:15 am and hopped on a moto taxi who had no idea where he was going. We drove around in circles for a bit (it was late, quiet streets and no streetlights yet in most of that city). We ended up back at the riverfront. I paid him $1. 00 to go away and tried another one and he was OK.

By the time I arrived at Flamingos hotel, everyone was waiting for me (security guy outside, pro hostess pool shark, front desk guys). It was funny.

Nari was great in bed. When she let her hair down, I was so happy to see that. Nary (not her real name) pulled the soon to be familiar shy routine of wanting to get in the shower ASAP. I indulged her, and there was enough light. She took off all the makeup and got very warm and snuggly. Nice kissing, and she got very horny (pussy very wet) when I bit her nipples. She gave a decent blowjob, but as I found with some of the other Khymer girls, they give an only OK blowjob, but a wonderful ass licking. Nari tossed my salad for a good 15 minutes in all positions, and with me smothering her on top too. I never get tired of that. She rode my dick too and loved it. I fucked her all over the place. She gave a true attempt for anal, but could not take it. Too tight. It was a true attempt (with plenty o’ lube (I always carry)), I know well the difference. A for effort. We tried twice. Yummy thing. After that we rested, and she hopped on again for another load. We finished up at 6 in the morning.

We went to sleep and she left at 10 am with no more sex. She was very pleasant.

I gave her $25. I justified the extra $5 since we avoided the bar fine. She was happy with that. She liked me (and my money). My favorite combo.

It was a wonderful first lay in the country.

Nari shared some videos, music and photos with me from her phone.

I downloaded some of the shots and share them with you.

Nari would not go for graphic nudes.

She told me she was going to the hair stylist for me, and I should stop by her bar that night, but I never saw her again.

Outstanding.

The rest of the photos are posted in the photo gallery.

Well, I visited PP in feb for 8 days and I had a blast, sam PP driver shown me the local boomboom hotel where they were so many pretty local girls shown up. I paid $12 for room and the girls. most girls were young around 18 to 21yrs old and since, it was local place all were superb and slim. I knoticed they stop many caucations at the door. Since I am asian, I think I was accepted. I do believe Cambodians were paying $5 instead of $10 for the girls. I was averaging 7girls a day, so I was spending around $100 a day including food. I have also visited sophies, and cyercee. all $15 for deed. I also visited 63 too and yes I did not take money in there, and I do feel that unattended, You will lose everything while you are washing up.

Went to a Karaoke place we went to last year. I asked my friend to try and find the girl I was with last year. Surprisingly, he found her. I was late getting there and when I walked into the room, she was there. He remembered what she looked like, but not her name. As he was walking around he spotted her.

There was about 5 of us and about 7 girls. Did the karaoke thing for a few hours. 3 of us talked our girls into going out with us. We went to a Chinese restaurant for late night eats. Food was very good.

After eating, back to our rooms. My girl is 27 years old, but looks 20, with 4 year old daughter. The my girl's mom helps look after the daughter. My girl is about 5'5" with long brown hair and 34C's. Perfect body.

We had good sex with 2 pops. She was also still lactating, so had wonderful sweet milk. After sex, 1 breast was covered with milk, of course had to lick it up.

Had her stay the day and the next night and not go to work. Called the mamasan who liked me from previous time and she said no problem. Also the night before my buddy did the mamasan in his room overnight.

At the Karaoke, the girls don't have to go with you, and if they do, they do not have to have sex with you.

For 2 nights and 1 day gave her $100. Her rent is $25 a month for a room. She will be my regular in PP and we are texting every few days now.

But $100 bungles price level in Cambodia!!

Either that or she is about to pop another one out!

Can't imagine a girl with breast milk 4 years after the birth of a child!

I cannot believe that he did not notice it if she were lactating for the next.

And yes a female can lactate as long as she is milked, ask any farmer!

FYI the web address for Sams taxi service is www.phnompenhtaxidriver.biz

He has taken me to visit his home village which was a great experience if you have time and are into that sort of thing.

The village on the river just south of Phnom Penh is interesting if you want to go there for a nice lunch oh the river, or some fun with the girls in the houses which are built over the water. Sam will be able to take u there...

The 63 street is still open. Some other small brothels around the walkabout. The price is 5 $ short. But is depend on the day. One day very niche girls, the next day you can forget it.

This is my first time to PP and would like some suggestions on where to stay. I see that the Flamingos Hotel seems to be popular. I want something under $50, clean and secure, close to Martini's (seems like my kind of place) and other venues. Walking distance or short moto ride would be great. And of course, the hotel has to be girl friendly. Thanks in advance. I'm looking forward to a new experience. Been to China and Thailand many time for mongering, but first time to Cambodia.

PhnomPenh is as dirty (utterly filthy - trash all over) as ever - there was some interesting talent down around the riverside for $5 to 10 or so. Try happy pizza (about street 184 on the river) for a pizza with a bit of a difference - the herbs are the thing - about $4 for a small. (same ownership as in SiemRiep and Snooky) Mikado and Cyrcee are still $15 (got a bunch of duds though - one "shy" about baby belly - kept light off - and another was essentially worthless - those at Mikado) Mikado seems to allow underwear now (was more fun without) Rain at 92F, cools down, rain stops then result is a virtual sauna at 90% humidity - not fun. Seems to rain 2X/day - thunderstorms.

The overland trip from Bangkok was about 14 hours total trip time (so much faster to fly, 1 hour and just 2X cost at about $80 for the return including airport fee on AirAsia) Costs 200B to Trat, 110 to border (stayed overnight in the KohKong little shithole) $2 to KK and $20 to PP. $5 room with big roaches. Got by with $25 for the Cambo visa at KK.

Walkabout didn't have any "cute" girls - just a buch of hardcores. They do a pat down at Heart of Darkness. Take ear plugs - it's LOUD!! Perhaps the best option for rooms is at Flamingo at $20, but there are others

You can't go wrong with the flamingo if you can get a room,I have heard that PP is pretty empty now so you should be right. The big luck is another that sounds OK,only a little further away and it has a pool.
Billabong starts at $35 with a pool and is only five minutes walk from flamingos but it is not really girl friendly although ANZAC owned. But it is very nice and quiet.
The best thing about flamingos is the location near the walkabout, chip lay,shanghai,heart,howie,soho2,mikado,le cyrcee, sophie, sharkeys and the riverfront. All within ten minutes walk.
Martini is a little off the beaten track from anywhere, about ten minutes on a moto.
A word of advice to those seeking women on the street whether the riverside, monument or wat phnom-don't bother, why would you with all the other options available? You are only asking for grief especially if you can't speak khmer.

Some girls along riverside speak minimal English. They say "hello" and you can go from there. I didn't go anywhere else. Of course, being able to speak minimal Thai does NO GOOD whatever.

Flamingo is right around the corner from Walkabout (1 block away)

About the most annoying thing about PP is that every motodriver thinks that you need to ride with them. I swear NOBODY walks a block in PP (except barangs) Seemed hotter there, though, than in Pattaya

As to the why bother with street girls - depends on what you like. Actually get a better "deal" and some are more GFE. The one I did didn't do BJ though

#1. Best reason to visit...
***********************

Number one reason to come to Kambo is the fruit-slush. They make it perfect. Much better than the thais. Sweeter, fruitier and more sirupey. The Kambo version is so thick that the straw stands in it straight, while in the average thai it flips. And the cost is minimal, one dollar or less for a large cup. Where I come from they charge 5 bucks for a small cup. Certainly justifies the expense of travel. They call it "toek krolok" which equals "nahm panh" in thai.

You can buy it at any restaurant, at the markets but the best is at Sorya foodcourt. You can have mango, watermelon, banana, coconut and more...

***********************
The good old times..........
***********************

There was all varieties of meat for sale that you could imagine. Steak, chops, beef, lamb and tender chicken breast fillets. It was the best, relaxed and elevating fun place ever invented in the world. It was only a short moto ride from the Capital, you could do all your meat-shopping in the afternoon and still be back home for an evening pizza. It was called K11, the Brothels....... The center of the Universe......

*******************
......Justice for all.........
*******************

...and justice for all...
It was right to shut it down. The stronger is always right. This is justice as is practiced today. Unite my brothers and be strong. Fight each other and you enslave yourselves to the painted meat. You flex muscles, flash painted tattoos and strut like a brainless peacock. You brag how many men you have beaten up. When you are nothing but a fool. You only have beaten yourself. Great hero of women.

********************
The brothel was a hotel...
********************
I got this far in my thinking and decided it was time to move on. Early evening, darkness just set in but still plentiful of light from the shops so I opted for walking. Quietly sneaked away from the hordes of motos and left Sorya shopping centre in Phnom Penh.

The brothel I was looking for is actually a small hotel. However in daytime the gate is firmly locked, no sign of activity. Needless to say it is hotel only in name. Only when night comes they open the doors very slightly to reveal the pink/red lighting inside. Old papa was sitting by the door. I thought about a little joke and asked for a vacant room first.

-"Mien bontop tomne tey?"
Old papa seemed a bit surprised by farang approaching him and turned away muttering a slight "Ot!" (meaning: "No!")

I laughed at my own splendid joke, since it was obvious they don't sell rooms, and continued:

-"Mien si'rey sa'at tey?" ("Do you have pretty girls?")

A sudden glow and smile crossed his weather-beaten face (there are not many oldies in Kambo) and he keenly replied:

"Mien." ("Have".)

****************************
....politics, gentlemen, politics.........
****************************
Gentlemen, what I would like to emphasize here is the issue of "politics". The interaction of perceived (real/imaginary) groups of persons negotiating, interacting. I would urge you to try to fit in with this "group", these nice Cambodian gentlemen, rather than try to act as a lone "farang hero" (muscles, tattoos, guns, etc). This is your key to great fucking, peace, love and a better future world for all.

We are not trying to hit back at these "poor-little asian girls" because of the wrong the farang women did to us. Not at all! But rather we try to re-educate ourselves to proper behaviour with women and nullify our brainwashing. Don't forget, your experience doesn't end at the border but follows you home! You will treat farang women differently at your work and
at home after your "cheap-meat" Kambo/Thai experiences.

*************************************
.........salivating, deprived, imbecile puppets....
*************************************

You came here as a salivating, deprived, imbecile puppet and you go home as a "man". Intelligent, male leadership, unaffected by women is good for the whole world. That includes the women too. And especially families. As I have expressed before, the only reason why they were "given" enormous power is because they are stupid. Therefore do what they are told and buy what they are told. Yes, they are deceived too. You knew that.

Your enemy is not men or women but your own stupidity that empowers women. This is the misery of the world. And your own stupidity you cannot fight with fists or guns. How could you? So, ..." be gentle, lay down your guns, say no to violence against men and fuck the cunts....." Please.

***************************
.....about 10 attractive girls inside...
***************************

He led me inside where about 10 young viet girls sat by the wall. Four or five seemed doable. I had been there before and fucked for $4 but this time he wouldn't go lower than $5 a pop. I made sure that both "yum-yum and boom-boom" was included and picked one. We went to a clean room upstairs, had a shower and she started sucking BB right away. Then I fucked. She was cute. Got $1 tip.

Went down, picked another one, same deal again. Performance fine. By the time we finished the Cambo boys picked all the other pretty ones so I took the "receptionist" girl (well, the one who seemed to be in charge of the others and handled the monies) and fucked it too.

She seemed well pleased to earn $5 plus tip for 20 minutes of easy work. Wasn't the prettiest but slim, young, childless with cute white tits and very cooperative. Possibly the best session of all.

Stealing of monies didn't seem to be an issue here at all. Bathrooms were inside rooms and all doors locked securely from inside. Also the girls were very relaxed and friendly.

************************
Do you want to fuck more meat?

....then cover up your tattoos and humble yourself...
************************

Maybe you have been suspecting it for a while that it is not tattoos, paint and muscles that make a "man" as they are trying to teach you at home. That way you only become another "homo-poofter".

What makes you a "man" is that you stop pleasing women by imitating them and trying to "look good". Instead you will "start to stand up for men's issues, for men's freedom and liberty".

You came here as a brainwashed shame, a betrayer of men and you go home as a "real man". You will feel different. Certainly you will not want a "Painted Fuck Object" to become your next president (although being a man your word at home now is zero).

See previous posting:
http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=556892&postcount=5107

(I would like to remark that when a traditional asian woman goes to vote she always consults a male friend or relative as she feels too stoopid for this decision. Unlike in the US or Europe.)

****************
Walking in the dark....
****************

Decided to continue walking in the dark, reached the riverfront. I have walked before the dark streets of Jakarta, Bangkok, Surabaya, Manila without any troubles so far and wasn't too concerned. Only once got nibbed in Manila - in broad daylight. Phnom Penh is not the worst.

While sitting down for dinner, I was unfortunate enough to share close space with a strange looking couple. 100 year old farang Fuck-Object who looked totally ridiculous with overdone lipstick and lots of gold jewellery and a young Khmer man, who was obviously on her payroll in some way. They were not "friends" but rather employer/employee it seemed.

*******************
100 year old Fuck-Object
*******************

Their conversation centered about some other Khmer man, I gathered. From here on I will just abbreviate "Totally Ridiculous 100 Year Old Fuck-Object" to "TR100YFO" for simplicity.

TR100YFO says: "I want to give him all my heart..." Young Khmer man obediently listens.

TR100YFO continues: "He doesn't understand my feelings...." and doing all the heart-wrecking facial expressions at the same time.

I had to try hard not to vomit. So did the young Khmer man on the payroll, as I read his face. I had an idea: I noticed a slice of pizza thrown in the corner with big red ants crawling on it. When leaving for the toilet, managed to kick it under TR100YFO's chair so that it got positioned right at the chair leg. The ants left the pizza and started crawling up for better food.

"Oh, ouch, arrgh. Itch! Oh the little bastards are biting...." I expected to follow soon, however I did not wait that long. Quickly paid and headed out for Circee bar. Still on foot. There I was in for a big surprise. But that's the next story....

I bring my own light. For a variety of reasons I'm tired of the crappy light in Asian hotels including many high-end ones. I carry a couple of 220V 60W bulbs and a couple of cheap clamp-on light bulb fixtures. The same one's the night markets in Thailand and Cambodia use. The total weight is only a few ounces and total cost is a few dollars for a great quality improvement. I change out the 25W bulbs in the rooms with the 60s and maybe use a clamp-on or two.

BTW there's nothing better than natural sunlight coming through the windows for camcorders.

The small cost of 2 bulbs would most definitely be worth the improved lighting for more detail and hopefully better color. I was thinking that I may have to go back to Paris hotel which SAD mentions often which I am only so-so on. I have an extreme sense of smell and the Paris bleaches their sheets with some very very strong chemicals. Can't sleep face down without feeling queasy although the view is great and lighting good during the day with such good window views. Hmm LOL problem solved for a dollar. Muchos Gracias. Just thought I would provide an update on ATMs in Phnom Penh, which for me are the only source of money when I visit.

Sorya Centre is known to all Moto Dup drivers and so is an easy place to get to. Until recently the ATMs on the ground and first floors were the only facilities available and so were only available during 'opening hours'. There is now an ATM outside the market and so is available 24hrs.

I have just returned to the UK and the smallest dollar/sterling exchange rate I received was 1.975 (free of all fees) and the highest was 1.993. I am convinced that this is the best option for me.

I am told that there will soon be an ATM in the lobby of the Flamingo Hotel which will make life even more convenient for those of us in the Walkabout area of the city.

I was followed once after leaving the atm. 2 guys were a little off in the distance so I went up the escalators and kept seeing them in the background. went up to 3 floors then went 1 floor down and saw they were coming down behind me trying to blend in the background. so I knew something was definitely up then so I walked around then took an elevator. this was midday around 11 am or so.

ATM's are good for easy money for us but possibly also for them.

Thanks for the ATM info hawk and howyagoin?
Just a word of warning about the sorya, though.I used the stand alone ATM on the first floor before xmas, not realising that there was one outside the canadia bank on the ground floor.
The ATM stole $200 from me and as I was going to snooky the next day I assumed that i would never see my cash again.I went to the canadia on the ground floor and filed my complaint and worried for the next two weeks in snooky.
As soon as i got back to town I visited the head office full of trepidation yet within five minutes I was assured that my account had been credited with the $200 soon after my complaint.
You could have knocked me over with a feather, this is better service than one receives in australia or NZ.
There are many ATMs at fuel outlets in PP as well and I can imagine when the flamingo gets a machine it will be very popular.

RIP.It's entirely possible. She could have contracted DHF a couple days before the afternoon she spent with him, and could have been just starting to feel a little feverish that day. If one has a weak immune system and doesn't get any medical aid, one can die within five or six days after contracting DHF.

Hi there, this is my firt post on this website, and soon to be many. :)

A mate and I from Canada are planning a trip to PP for our hobbies. I am wondering where is the place place to go to get clean girls, best range of ages/rascis. I have heard about Svay pak, but sounds kinda dodgey. I have also heard about 63st* ( I think) that place sounds like it would be right up my alley.

Well we are planning on going in Jan 08, so I guess we have some time to prepare.

Also I am confused by all the slang terms used on this site for services, is there a site that breaks down the slang?

I hope this is a start to a beautiful friendship.

And svay pak, here its best to have a look around of a day time, in the evening the police are watching barangs, [barang is a cambodian word for for foreigners],

Cambodia`s very cheap, $10 to $20 for a woman, have a great time.

I have been to BKK a few times and this time I will have a couple of days in BKK. I was originally thinking of going to Pattaya, but from what I have read so far about PP, this looks like a great place to have some Viet cuties for a very good price. Can any one give me the pros and cons of Pattaya vs PP?

Thanks

Maybe open for local population.

Thanx for the flight site, I figure 200cad for a round trip from Bkk to PP is not bad. So the famous svay pak is no more huh? bummer.

And if I do go to 63st I need to :

-A. take minium money with me

-B. uum, devise A may to keep anything personal on my persons.

-C or arrange for a LT maybe?

I dunno I will have a mate with me and we are close, I wouldn't see a problem with me watching the door for him and him watching the door for me. But meh.

I don't understand the interest in street 63 or svay pak.One can meet very nice girls is all the usual venues and do the deed for ten to twenty dollars.
Are you guys all tight arses or what.
If one can speak khmer then all sorts of doors open for very little money but if one is just a tourist then pay the usual money at the usual haunts.
Someone asked what PP is really like.Well,it is filthy and it stinks but the people are really nice and things are pretty cheap.

To be honest I really look down upon girls that hang around in bars tryin to get money/things. But when ou go to a brothel/SW you go for one reason and one only.

Thats just me, I dont mean to offened anyone by my statement or start a rowe.

It was $5 for foreigners at Svay Pak, PH, which is twice as good as $10 and four times as good as $20. Also the service was very good and the girls were very cute, and best of all they were Vietnamese. One time I had four cute girls at Svay Pak for $20 - all about 19, all bareback. I just lay back and let them take turns sucking and then bouncing atop me. Believe me a tear comes to the eye when we who frequented the place think of Svay Pak and what they have done to it. I consider it my own personal 'holocaust'.

Anway, I have no desire to learn to speak Kmer, and I'm tight, not a tight ass. In the States the former is a cheap charley, the latter is a prude.

Dear Domonic

Please excuse me if I offend, I'm drunk and getting drunker by the keystroake.

You asked where are the best places for clean girls. Consider all girls to be "less than clean." No unprotected sex.

As far as Svay pak goes , it's been closed for a long time and needs to stay closed. The action that went on there was and still is unacceptable. If you're looking for that type of action, you need to stop posting immediately !!

You asked about "slang terms" Read the Forum Friend and you'll soon learn the slang terms. We actually have areas where we suggest NewBees read first.

All of the members will help you BUT you have to do some reading yourself or we'll consider you a R etard.

I am looking for fair skinned ladies with decent size natural breasts (from what I have read, more likely to be Viets). The question is whether or not they are GFE like the thais or just lie there. I do like the passion and DFK and the whole GFE part. Is that too much to expect in PP?

There seems to be an R missing from your moniker, bro. The usual haunts that I refer to are full of free lancers who are only there for one reason-to service you!
Are you still with me,I am not sure that some people here inhabit the same planet as me.
There is no hash, the ganga is cheap but it is rubbish, one can get pretty stoned on happy pizzas and happy shakes. One can roll up and smoke virtually anywhere and of course the blue pills and all their variants are dirt cheap.
I use kamagra gel which costs 75 cents.

I really guess that some people are stuck in their ways. I am going to PP to sleep around with girls I should have roughly 2 months. And I will try all venues, weather it will be a club or free lancer.

As for "Happy" pizza.....damn I guess that ruined my suprise....I really really really didn't know that they made bud pizza's.

To the point that someone had made before about "less" than clean, I all I can say is "DUH!". D'ya really think I want my dick to rub around in all of our ( and then some) sloppy seconds? (No No No, I really don't want to buy a STD (not saying that anyone here would be to blame)).

And someone said 'that kind of action' by what ever do you mean? I just have a thing for asians. I am not looking for any type of action. In fact if I even remotely think I know what your talking about, then you should be the one to stop posting. Because I belive that someone else awhile back posted something about "not much grass on the wicket". To which I am very surprised that it got posted with all the moderation and such going on.

The comment about "less than clean" was the CITY - not necessarily the ladies. the place is dirtier than ANYWHERE else I have been in the world (and I've been to some shitholes - I've been told it's on a par with the worst in Africa, though, cleanliness wise)

Jackyung the most dangerous thing you can do in cambodia is to take a moto ride across town in pp. The christian ngo's and others spread false rumors about std rates in cambodia to stop prostitution. befor"äids" punting was a hobby enjoyed by large part of local men, many got scared away, tried to use condoms but couden't so stayed away from p4p scene out of fear. later on westerners showed up on the scene with there bbbj recently the cdc and john hopkins medical center teamed up and claimed condoms don't protect against herepes and hpv.. and thart hpv causes throat cancer. so lets see how effective this campagn turns out(maybee not much after Iraq wmd etc, and other lies by politicans.).

You quote an interesting viewpoint that I had never heard before. Can I ask what your information source is for the habits of locals changing because of HIV and not being able to use condoms. I have always been led to believe that the local brothel scene has been going strongly, albeit that it runs in parrallel to the barang scene and the two hardly ever come into contact with each other.

I have read through many reports and did a fair amount of searching and I am a little confused.

It seems like most of the hostess as wel as farang bars (Sophies, Walkabout etc.) generally tend to have girls in the night time. The only day time action seems to be in St 63 brothels but then again there are reports that say they are almost closed to foreigners. Some have said that they are dangerous!

I am a first time visitor to PP and will be looking for some fair skinned Viets for ST action during the day in the $5-$20 range. Any suggestions, especially for a GFE type of service?

one good fuck and one even better.....

***************************************
riverside heat....
***************************************

the riverside is heating up. several (ugly) girls approached me as walking along at night. this might even improve with time and hopefully more pretty ones will show up. there was even some stupid kid clinging to my legs and screaming: "papa, papa i sleep with you, one dollah". not pleasant but rather ridiculous situation as i desperately tried to shake him off while everybody looking at us.

the feminist rulers have fucked this world up a bit. who do you really blame for all those poor old fellas escaping from their home of "woman hell" and trying to find any miserable company they can? yeah, fuck the men, they are bastards. let the women rule, prosecute, reward and lead all. i bought a lipstick for myself. that way they might accept me. at the moment i am too shy to apply it to my face so just rub it around my cock. it gets on their faces sooner or later anyway.

***************************************
traditional brothel scene.............
***************************************

anyway, i remembered some place i used to visit alongside that road, but way beyond in the darkness, much after you pass the royal palace. i enquired from several moto-guys and finally one said that he knew about it. he told me that the price will be $10, non-negotiable. plus another two for gas. anyway, worth a look so off we went. soon the lights got sparser and we turned into some sidestreets. two cambodian gentlemen greeted us outside and quickly three girls turned up. two viets just barely passable (i am very spoiled by now, someone else might think they were princesses), and one very pretty khmer chicken. it had to be that one. i had to pay up-front, which is very stupid but they seemed friendly enough so i did not object. the room was barely basic, dimly lit and with a shower-cubicle in one corner. something like you would keep your pigs at home.

i didn't wash but she washed her snatch and quickly was standing before me wearing just a thin silver chain around her very shapely waist. brown skin, perfect slim figure, cute smiling face with only a small rot in one front tooth. easily could be fixed for $50 (dentists are cheap here) but thankfully she cannot afford it so she will stay humble and subservient for ever. suck was no-no, but we did a bit of mutual massage and her youthful skin was wonderfully velvet-smooth. nice personality too.

the only english words she knew were "tip" at the end of the session and "sank you" as i managed to scrape together 3000 riel (75c) worth of change, and was followed by a big farewell kiss. i used to give them $2, now usually only give $1 but really might just cut it down to 75c. that's enough for a lollipop. otherwise all their needs are met, they are well fed, clothed and sheltered. plus they have the joy of serving ugly old men and that's priceless and money can't buy. the joy of good service.

******************************
brothel wedding....
******************************
service was so good that the thought of marrying her crossed my mind. of course i would propose to her parents and offer the handsomely gift of 5 cows and 3 pigs which they wouldn't refuse. i would let her into my room once a week, the other days she would have to spend in the laundry. i would be busy with other meat from the brothels on other days. she would have to cook, clean the house and do the washing by hand. it is important to keep them humble so that their head doesn't grow too big (and ego). that way she will appreciate the one day when she is allowed to entertain me (or my friends). if there are any puppies, the men would be trained to be rulers and the rest servants and brothel-stock, until some other gentleman offers me some 5 cows and 3 pigs to buy them from me (after all i must be compensated for the troubles of keeping them).

so, the fuck was good enough but the best fuck was left for the end of the day in very curious circumstances. it was rather joyful for me, beyond the usual joy i get from meat. and please note here gentlemen the following: "there are more than one ways to fuck a woman!" details follow:

************************************
more than one ways to fuck....
************************************

arriving back at the hotel i started discussing the next days itinerary with a couple of drivers when my attention was drawn to a heated argument at the reception desk.
"i do not feel safe! i want my money back!" roared the meat. that is the blonde female bimbo from "whoknowswhere scandinavia". these guys have a rather dark skin complex but the receptionist's head was totally black this time from anger, taken aback by how this "meat", this lowlife treated him. he also kept pointing to a sign saying "no refunds" but the scando fucker wouldn't accept that.

politeness goes a long way around here, obviously what she knew nothing about. pretty much turning all of the men present against her. i could imagine that in such a situation a local woman would have been the unhappy recipient of a big smack or more right over the head (well, a local woman would have never gotten into that situation anyway in the first place). what kept this guy from such disciplinary action was the fucker's foreign status and possibly the presence of another foreigner "man" in the room.

likely, by being polite but persuasive she would have gotten her money back but this way it was totally hopeless, humiliating all hotel staff. in final desperation she glanced at me with a smile (wow! a blonde fucker smiled at me! must be some reason for it!), as if urging "do something, you are same as me!". this of course made me very-very angry. my immediate thought was: "you are not going to manipulate me with your ****, you fuck-meat! i am not same with you in any way. i am same as these cambodian gentlemen you insulted."

but all i said: "guys, five bucks for anyone grabbing a handful of ass for himself." nobody volunteered.
"ten dollars!?" i pushed the issue. couple of guys hesitantly rose with an unbelieving smile. is that real? ten bucks for grabbing a dog's ass?

********************************
unity.......noble unity.....
********************************

however that fucker must have heard it as she made such a quick move you never saw a blonde **** move so quick. even left the hope of her refund behind in a hurry. it was so funny. we all laughed. yes gentlemen, this is what i mean by "there are more than one ways to fuck a woman". this was the best fuck of all. she couldn't divide us with her ****. we the men supported each other and won. it was so funny and educational as well. let this example grow and reach all segments of the world in every ****'ry. unity gentlemen, "unity" is the key to your freedom from meat.

**************************
being "rational" about women...
**************************

to be just, we must admit that only "us" the regular "sex-tourists" can ever be able to rationally think about women. ordinary, deprived men can never-ever hope to be able to. because only we are "not deprived", while most of other men serve in yoke. when you are hungry all that matters is "eat, eat!". that's why purposeful deprivation works. you will sell even your soul for food, some morsel of affection, some "meat".

i met this blonde fucker one more time some days later. she was walking the road with another farang woman. she must have recognised me and said to the other "that asshole again!" and they quickly crossed to the other side. all that amazed me was: how did she knew my name?

Though not a PP expert, my thoughts are to go to 63st with $5 only in your pocket. Nothing else, no watch, camera, passport, money, etc. Go to #99D on 63rd st, and you will find 10 or so Viets for ST. It is not dangerous. Having stuff stolen is the only issue. Lock the door so they won’t go through your clothes.

Or try the 2 brothels on 154st (south side) just to the west of Norodom Blvd. Here you will need $10. Same deal with leaving all your goodies back at the hotel.

Or maybe try the Chip Lay Massage right next to Walkabout. One poster here said it is $3/hr for massage and $6 for BJ. I’ve never been there, so can’t confirm.

These places are easily accessible on foot if you are staying at the Flamingo($20usd.night).

Good luck with the GFE! For GFE it is better to go to Sharkeys or Martini’s at night time

Hey sam,if you stay at the flamingo there is a consatant stream of ladies leaving the place pretty well all day.
It is not uncommon for ladies to get an an offer as they are leaving the premises and to turn around and go straight back upstairs.

Hi there. Will be making my first trip in September. Realise it will be the rainy season, so would appreciate it if anyone could advise whether this makes a big difference regarding the ladies? More importantly, I presume all the prices in these reports refer to US $? Also, I presume the payments to the girls are in Riels and not actually in US$? If not, is it because they don't accept Riels or that the price goes up if they are paid in local currency? Does this also apply to all other businesses? On a slightly irrevelant note, do all departure taxes and visa fees have to be in US$ or do they accept Riels?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks,

Reports refer to $US.

All my girls have asked for $US - small tips/bike fare can be in Riel.

In PP, dollars are readily accepted in virtually any retail outlet, hotel, softdrink vendor, market place etc.

Same goes for SV.

You are more likely to arrive with $US than Riel (do not change currency before you arrive) and they prefer dollars anyway (THB or other currencies will cost more).

On departure, if you are looking to get rid of your last few thousand Riel, then the departure tax office will accept it towards the $25 total. There is a decent coffee shop in the departure lounge which is a handy way to spend the last of your cash also.

Hotels, Restaurants, Ladies, Arrival and Departure fee, all is paid in USD.
Only payments less than 1 USD is in Riel eg. 1000 Riel for a short moto-ride.
Take care, mate!

Air Asia Bangkok to Phnom Penh was only 499 baht. WOOO! and now at the PP airport there is a sign that says $2 taxi-Moto to Central Market. worked good for me. took me to CM then directed him to my hotel and added an extra $1 for a total $3 from airport to hotel. $2 is the standard price locals pay. amazing fairness.

Thanks,

Donnylad

It is worth noting that no distinction is made between dollars and riels in Cambo... you go to the supermarket and both prices come up on the register, often you will get change in a mixture of both... there is a standard exchange rate that everybody just knows - in places with cash registers $1 = 3950 Riels, for everyone else, $1 = 4000 Riels. The dollar is in all ways that matter the national currency and the Riel is simply a proxy for it. Unlike places like Vietnam, you don't get a worse deal negotiating in dollars.

The exchange rate may have changed...

Basically, they don't have coins. U.S. paper money is the national currency, and Riels are used to make change on a dollar. 1000 Reils = 25 cents.

The best advice is to have U.S. currency in small bills. Breaking a $100 U.S. is quite difficult except at banks. It's good to have U.S. $1s, $5s, and $20s.

Dinghy
06-10-07, 16:21
And the "on the street" rate is about 4080 more or less (money changers)

4000:1 is the "normal" number - get about $20 in Riel and use them to save maybe 2%

WORD OF WARNING - Every bill must have no rips tears or nicks. Even a small wear on the face of a $1 is enough to have them NOT TAKE IT. I took "new" bills with me and had no problems, but in my wallet, I had 2 with slight nicks - I had to bring those home and spend them later. For the thickness of the pile, you are better off to have nothing larger than $5 (except for the $20 to enter at the airport). Takes up a bit more room, but no shortchanging whatever if you pay in $1 bills or 1+5. Riel is worthless outside cambo except as things to give nieces and grandkids.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. As a Brit, it is a slight inconvenience to have take US$. I'm presuming here that all ATMS only dispense Riels? I'm also presuming from all your comments, that people will accept Riels in any situation, but it is more cumbersome to carry the notes around?

ATMs dispense U.S. dollars. There's not enough room in an ATM cash cassette to hold enough Riels to be of any use. But good luck finding ATMs. There might be a couple of dozen of them in the whole country. Maybe 3 or 4 in Siem Reap, maybe a dozen of them in PP, all of these will be in front of Banks.

Not quite the case in Phnom Penh. The last reliable count I saw on ATM's was approaching 40 across the (relatively small) city. There are ATM's not only at major banks but also at Caltex petrol stations, along the Riverside and also at major shopping centres. You are never far from cash in PP these days provided you've got funds available in your account!

Any Brit travelling abroad, including Cambodia, should get themselves a bank account with Nationwide to obtain the very best of deals for foreign currencies.

Info came from me talking to locals who speak at least some english, mainly in mae sai, tachilik and bangkok in mid 1990's. while it is true the whites and local monger scene is seperate, the whites begain there bbbj in mass after 2002 or so. locals don't go in for that, just still a quick fuck and no tip.

I'm going to be in Phnom Penh from June 22 through 26. It will be my first time in Cambodia, but I've been to other parts of SE Asia. I'd like to find a girl friendly hotel that costs under $50 USD a night. I know people have recommended Flamingo's, but I'd like to have a bath tub or at least an enclosed shower area in the bathroom. I don't like the whole bathroom getting wet when I shower. I read somewhere that Flamingo's doesn't have the bath tub/shower stall arrangement. Also, I'm a bit leery after seeing several posts about theft being an issue there.

Any recommendations? Thanks for the advice.

Lots of PP stuff here today-good.
Yes,there are heaps of ATMs now.
And to go in september-great.Apparently PP ot mian barang right now and there will still be no barang in september-beauty=cheap prices and willing women.
Quality is declining though as more women find western boyfriends/sponsors.
I know this as my very desirable girlfriend is another who has gone straight.
I will be in PP next week and i can provide a birds eye view of cambodia in the wet season.
I expect that things will be hot and sticky for me and the weather will be like that as well.

Fast eddie 48Small add. Umm. The ASIA rooms are impeccably white and clean for the price and although it does have a bathtub. No shower curtain in my room or the other room I looked at. Bathroom floor will get wet. However they place an extra thick towel for bathroom mat so my room itself is never wet. Very comfy and clean. Big Luck ($25) has the shower curtains and better views but facilities aren't as new as Asia. More home feel. (older model AC's)

I stayed here twice, only $10, pool table on first floor, which is widewith a nice grand staircase. Alas it is run down, but the rooms are big, clean and there is hot water. Yeah the street is dark at night but it is safe. Lots of drivers sleepthere/hang out all night, Also on 172 is GThe Last Home Guest Hoise. Charming looking with be-fast on the sidewalk in the am!

Stay on scond floor (everywhere! ), I was on 4th and the room across from ours was set on fire by a drunk at 4 am! Thought I'd die, fire dept keystone cops-ish!

But I went back!

Search the classifieds for my recon a great driver on this street.

Went to Chip Lay next to Walkabout. Thanks Prince Harry for the directions and advice. Went straight to the 5th floor and into the room with the fishbowl. About 30+ girls in the late afternoon there. Picked # 39, Sra.

Went to a room down the hall with her. Room ok for ST. Nothing great. Showered in the bathroom together. Then went to the bed. Went straight for the sex, no massage. Sra is about 5'7" and 33Bs. Doesn't speak english but a couple of words. But she is very nice looking.

Get into the bed and she strats to kiss me and work her way down to sucking on my nipples. Then on down for a bbbj until I was hard. Not any great skills, just enough to get me up.

Then she capped me and CG for about 5 - 10 minutes before she did CG and sucking on my nipples back and forth at the same time. Then to mish, flipped her over for doggie, back to CG, and then back to mish until I came.

I am pretty sure she came 3 times. I asked her and she said yes because after I came she had me continue pumping for a few more minutes and felt her tremble this time.

Tried to talk a little, cuddled, and then showered again. Very good GFE. I would repeat. Gave her $20 and the massage was $4.

After Chip Lay, went to Barbados a couple of hours later. It was early evening around 6 pm. Met a very pretty 22 yo Khmer girl. She is about 5'7" and had a great personality. Drank beers with her and bought her lady drinks. Lady drinks were $3. My beers were $1.25 each.

Being there early got to watch all of the girls come in and change and get all primped up for the evening. It was alot of fun talking with some of them as they changed from jeans into dresses and others helping each other get their hair and faces all made up.

After an hour of chit chat, went to a guest house a few buildings down the road with the 22 yo. Guesthouse was worse than Walkabout. Cost $10 even for ST. They wouldn't budge. Oh well, I wanted the 22 yo too much and the girlfriend was back in the hotel room.

Got in the room and we washed up. Layed down on the bed and started kissing each other all over. Kissing made me stiff, so capped and started in mish with her. After missh doggie and then back again. Must of been about 30 minutes before I came since it was my 2d time that day. She had a really nice fitting pussy. I will find her again.

We didn't even talk money the entire time. I just put $20 in her pocket book and she didn't even look. Back to Barbados for 1 more drink and back to the hotel to the girlfriend.

Thanks Hollow Man for your reviews on the hotels in PP. Find your reviews on the Big Luck very helpfull and plan on staying there in Oct. Big Luck has their prices listed on their homepage and will print them out to take with me.

I've noticed in Central and South America they will quote you one price and when you show up they will try to upcharge. They tried this on me my last trip to costa rica and having the printed quote saved me a few quid.

Boys, I am sitting here at a coffeehouse in Canada doing research and d/ling music. Across from me a beautiful little package of a girl has sat down with her chemistry books, her denim mini skirt, smooth legs, and beautiful breasts framed by her bikini (? ) top underneath a sweatshirt with zipper pulled down oh so revealing. She just headed off to class.

After now reading all the posts on PP, I feel somewhat better prepared before going on my trip in November this year.

Just a few questions, perhaps someone will clarify for me if it is rainy-season in November?

Will there be a lot of barang (tourists) visiting PP in November.

Maybe there is not much change in number of tourists visiting Cambodia?

Anyway thank you all for all the great and informative reports, it really helps a lot?

I'll chuck in my two cents worth, bro.
Is november rainy season,maybe?
The rain should have stopped, but the monsoons go on a little later nowadays I think in the tropics.Certainly the major rains seem to come sept/october with flooding and stuff. But the wet seasons are nice, the country side is green and the city much less dusty.I went for the first time last june and it was great,a little bit of rain but fairly cool and i go back next week to much the same, apparently.
Phnom penh can be 33 to 38 with 88% humidity but sihanoukville showery and 29,november could be similar. But the remarkable thing in phnom penh is how quickly it cools off in the early evening ,and mornings are lovely.
As for numbers of tourists,up 50% again probably the last year-most to siem riep though.

chip lay is also a hotel - $13/night. room was ok and on 6th floor, not much if any noise. interesting that the massage staff seems to reside on the roof and pass thru in both directions (up/down). they are available but didn't seem interested in "overnight work" - just "st". chip lay is right arond the corner from walkabout (walkabout room was $3 less, but with a rather large bag it would have made the trip up/down "difficult" - chip lay has a lift - was it worth the $3? your call yes/no) good location - lots of action and hi-speed internet most with skype available for 3000r/hour on street 51. i didn't have the albatross (the laptop) with me last trip but i don't think they can accommodate them in most if any places (had the same trouble in i-net cafes in thailand btw - use their machine - just security issues with someone else's machine)

i've tried royal highness - there are actually 2 of them almost side by side. the "better " one is in the $20 range, the lesser one is 5 to 10 (5 gets you a fan room up high - narrow winding staircase) the doors don't have any particular security and in the rooms with twin beds, one is "soft" the other is about as hard as a board. ac worked well the times i tried it. the main trouble with the location is that one might get "lost" easily the first time or 2 out - they had a map at the desk which helped quite a bit.

for a good on-line map (as well as being able to find the place you want) go to

http://www.yellowpages-cambodia.com/maps/phnompenh/

the maps are "zoomable" and depending on your screen resolution easily readable. the "yellow pages" feature lets you look up places by name and city. the maps illustrate the crazy quilt layout of streets and street numbering in pp.

word of additional advice - i use firefox and "image zoom" add-on. it lets you enlarge those maps to "readable" size easily

Tried my hand at massage parlors. Very disappointing especially when compared to Thailand. Hell compared to Vietnam too! Girls doing massages I find are. Hmm. I had to walk out of 2 of them.

Bun Pav (Khmer) had a few ok ones and they asked for 20-30. $4 for massage. Too the prettiest face who asked for $25. Said ok due to Mr. Johnson thinking for me. She wanted lights off because she had a baby. Oh dear.

Sakura hotel massage. A little better but was refused boom boom. I am a little bigger than normal but still. Others have fared better than me here.

Angkor Thom on minivong you'll actually get a good massage sauna. My friend got a BBBJ and loved it. $10 tip. Was next to my normal female friend so I didn't sample myself.

Chip Lay Hotel massage. Walked out after 30 seconds of viewing the good. S 15-16 girls were shown. (Shudder)

Hope to sample some more later but doing the tourist thing with friends so it's getting harder for me.

Brothels. Sigh. They are now friendlier to all and prices are $5 a pop. $10 take to hotel. They've cleaned up the facilities and even have a massage like viewing room. ST 63/154.HOWEVER- If you want to stay on the right side of the law I advise against. The Chinese age adds 2 years to the real age so if they say they are 20 then they are 18. Ahem etc. Stick with the older girls to stay safe. By older I mean 20-25 since none are older than 25. Toul Kok rooms are far too dirty for me. I mean real real dark wooden shack. Hurry up man type.

So far the brothel and massage girls I find are cleaner than freelancers. Be/M's wash constantly which is appreciated. There is no GFE though. Its only a release. In the brothels you get pestered for a $1 tip form the door dude. I laugh it off. Up to you though.

DRAMA. Saw a few guys who fell in love with freelancers. Jesus christ. I can't believe this crap still happens. One showed me the messages she sent him. The other always worries if she's ok. He was actually hugging her and smiling at the bar all happy. I dint have the heart to tell him she was holding onto my johnson and tugging it at the same time. I've gone clubbing/dancing with this particular one though I've never taken her. So many girls available everywhere nowadays. The Sorya Mall is a pickup place too. See slutty girl walking around. She's probably available or you can set-up a tryst later when she's done shopping. Funny as shit me saying Hi to one as she was walking with a farang. She waved back. He turned to her as the kept walking "Hey! Did you fuck him? " *No No No. He only friend* I snicker and continue to next escalator. More brothels abound. I can even bothel myself to check them out. There's a red light barber across the street from Sharkey's too. I mean every freakin' where.

Power outages daily. Few times a day. Its the low season. It's HOT/RAINY season. I'll be hitting Sihanouk soon but with friends in tow I don't know what I can find out. We'll see. We'll see.

Went to Chip Lay at around 6pm. #39 taken by somebody. I must have given too good of report on her :)

Tried #7. She is young inexperienced and not GFE. Just a plain old pain in the ass. Will never see her again. No need to go into the specifics. You all can guess what it was like from the begining negotiations to the end. :(:(

Would I go back - yes ! ! Get another like # 39 I would ! !

My Cambodian friends took me to a Hotel with Karaoke and Restaurant. It was very nice. It is the same place they took me before the last 2 times I was here.

We went into the VIP room and they gave me two girls who I sat down between. For the next 90 minutes the girls fed me and gave me beer and wine to drink. I didn't touch a utensil once.

But there was drama. I had two new girls with me. One of the girls froim the previous two times and who I took home with me before or she came over on her days off came into the room and tried to shew/shoo away the two girls. The manager, who was also there in the room kept everything under control.

After eating we did karaoke and dancing. While slowly dancing with the new 22 yo I was with, she started getting friendly and kissing. After awhile of this she shot the other who was trying to get me back a look of "I won". The other of the original two gave up in the drama after the first hour when the other manager who is freinds of the one I was with before got her to give up. But the other 22 yo wouldn't give up.

After about 3 hours, went to the 5th floor with the 22 yo for fun :):). Of course my friends did not let me pay and the fun was booked to the VIP room. Got to the room and we got the AC on and showered and then into the bed.

The girl was inexperienced, but I didn't care. She was sweet and this was a GFE. Kissed her tits and then DATY. Seems her first DATY. She came about 10 minutes later. Then she brought me up and kissed me and my nipples while using her hand to get me hard. Once hard, entry, and was she tight. Thank Buddha for lubrication. Did a good 15 minutes in mish and doggie before I cum.
After cum, cuddling and kissing and cuddling. We both washed up and went back to the VIP room to applause.

Now with the "ice" broken with the girl from before, another girl sat next to me and tried to also pick me up. It was heaven being in the VIP room with 3 girls wanting your attention. The one from before got me on the dance floor for slow songs and kissed me trying to win over my favors. Then the other 2 would do the same.

Evening came to an end and off we went. Great time and I didn't spend anything this time. Of course before I have taken care of things in other venues for them too.

So will see which if the 3 respond to text messages today.

Harry - I speak quite a bit of Thai. Did me no good whatever in Kampuchea. trouble is that 1 tonal language is "difficult" -2 might be "overwhelming".

Reading Khmer is no picnic either - some of the letters are almost the same as Thai, but those extra squiggles are "troublesome". I've been told that Khmer more closely resembles Sanskrit than Thai (but both share the common root).

My understanding is that Khmer is not tonal. Doesn't use Romanised script and has some very strange sound combinations but isn't actually tonal.

I am determined to master the basics before my return in September and may even take a lady friend for a few friends with the intention of her telling me the bits I get wrong.

Khmer is not a tonal language but the difficult in speaking it lies (in the eyes of a Westerner) in weird consonant clusters, e.g. Psah Chah (you have to say the "h") for Old Market or "knyom" (no silent "k" here) for "I". Those squiggles are mostly "sub-consonants" written under main consonants when such sounds are after together.
Thai will serve you all right in certain areas of Western Cambodia but much less useful the further east you go. Incidently, all numbers in Cambodian above 3 are all Thai. Thai also borrowed a lot from Cambodian.

Both alphabets are ultimately derived from alphabets developed in India.

Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos are the "Indo" part of "Indo-China". Vietnam is much more influenced by China. They abandoned their Chinese-inspired writing system in favour of the Latin alphabet which was adapted to Vietnamese by French missionaries, believe it or not. That explains why Vietnam is the odd man out as far as alphabets are concerned.

Uh... KHMER IS INDEED TONAL ACCORDING TO THE FOLKS I KNOW!! I know several Khmer in the US and they INSIST it's tonal. My Thai teacher speaks some khmer and he says it's tonal as well (just not as extensive as Thai). I'll talk to one of my Khmer friends in depth and ask him.

Speaking of languages - Lao is to Thai like Portugese is to Spanish - similar but not exactly the same. Some of the words don't mean the same and several letters have different "names". Isaan is a strange combination of thai/lao/khmer languages

Isaan is a strange combination of thai/lao/khmer languagesKhmer is certainly NOT a tonal language. A tonal language means that the very tone of a word directly affects the meaning. For example, in Thai, glai and glâi are only differentiated by the tone. The former means far while the latter means close. In Chinese, mai (third tone) means buy while mai (fourth tone) means sell. This is NOT the case in Khmer. Tones only add nuance, not lexical meaning.
For example, in English, The GIRLS go to school and "The girls GO to school" and "The girls go to SCHOOL" are differentiated by emphasizing what is important. However, no one would say that English is a tonal language.

Ask any linguist whether Khmer is a tonal language. Ordinary Khmers probably know no more about their language than English-speakers know about theirs (how many English-speakers know what a phrasal verb is or what a cleft sentence is?).

I mentioned that all Khmer numbers after 3 are Thai but I meant all numbers over 30.

Khmer numbers are as fascinating as they are bizarre.

If English operated in the same way, we would count like this:

one
two
three
four
five
five-one
five-two
five-three
five-four
ten

Now imagine that all English numbers over 30 came from French

87 would be like quatre-vingt five-two

What a mixup!

As for Lao and Thai, Dingy is right. I found that I could get by in Lao using a Thai-based pidgin.

The Isaan dialect is really Lao with a thick veneer of Thai stuck on it. The numbers in the Isaan dialect are Thai thanks to the determination of Thai authorities to impose the Thai language in the area (for example, no one uses sao for 20, they use yii sip). All abstract and modern terms come from Thai but the core of the Isaan dialect is pure Lao.

In using Dingy's analogy, I would say that the Isaan dialect is like Galician, a dialect of Portuguese (or language nearly identical to Portuguese) very heavily influenced by Spanish .

So, the next time you meet an Isaan girl, you know that she speaks something similar to Lao with a lot of Thai words all mixed in.

...........Ask any linguist whether Khmer is a tonal language. Ordinary Khmers probably know no more about their language than English-speakers know about theirs (how many English-speakers know what a phrasal verb is or what a cleft sentence is?).......How true your statements are.

I recently considered doing a TEFL course in my home town and when I made contact with them was surprised to be sent a pre-interview exam. It was all about the 'finer points' of the language I have spoken natively for nearly 50 years and I did not even understand some of the questions, let alone be able to answer them.

I took the questions into work and asked some of my respected colleagues(there are some who struggle to spell their own name so I excluded them) if they could answer them; no one was able to approach them confidently but the best response came from someone who has been studying German in recent times. It seems as if the nuances of language speaking are taught when learning a foreign language and not when learning your own (and we know how bad the Brits are, in general, at speaking foreign languages.)

When I last returned from Cambodia I shared a row of seats with a Malysian girl and we had a nice flight and have stayed in contact. She is 23yo and studying to be an English language teacher. Her grasp of the English language is excellent and so I sent the same questions to her. A few days later she replied with all of the questions answered saying how it was useful revision for her but that it did force her to remember things that she had forgotten. I am embarrassed to say that her command of the English language is better than mine (and 99.999% of the British population).

As I have recently been studying Khmer I got to thinking what a Vowel is! I have always thought of a vowel as being A, E, I, O and U but the Khmer language has its own Vowels, so what are they? They are sounds made with an open aspect but how many Brits even know this? I reckon maybe only 1% and this is really sad but probably explains why we are so bad at learning foreign languages as we do not understand our own.

If you really want to get blown away by the finer points of a spoken language do a search on wikipedia for Vowel. I think that if you can understand all of these points then you would find find learning other languages much easier (as long as you can understand how those rules apply to the language you are learning!!).

I would be interested to know if the points above apply just to Brits or whether they apply to other English speaking nations such as America and Australia. Anyone care to comment?

Sorry to ramble on,

Hawk

It is sad to say I left left the Kingdom of Cambodia. I definitely liked here the best. I had a live-in for almost 3 weeks that I knew from a previous trip besides the fun I had that I previously posted.

She had dinner ready every night and also did my laundry. We had sex at least once in the morning and once at night. She gives a great BBBJ and CIM. Did her anal twice. I know I have been the only one who has had anal with her. She is 23 years old. I gave her $100 per week for a total of $300.

Sigh, I will miss here very much.

I speak good Khmer and would say it is definitely not tonal. However, not trusting myself I have Googled this and come up with the following on the trusty Wikipedia.

I have found a website that makes a refference to hiring taxi's and body gaurds on PP. I though I should prehaps post it here.

All Destinations offers car and 4WD rental, with driver. Bodyguards available. Tel: 016-779901.

I dont know though sounds like a good idea. Ring them get a taxi for the day and a bodyguard.

Is it just me or is this whole statement weird? I've been a frequent visitor to SEA since the late 80's, Kam since 95 and not once have I felt threatened or put myself in harms way, I will in fact say that PP is one of the safer cities I've had the fortune to spend time in.

To Guard or Not To Guard, that is the Question !

PP is pretty safe BUT beware, as with all cities there are dangers lurking in the dark. If you're traveling solo and plan to be out late at night and walking, it would be prudent to have an amigo. Most muggers don't want to mess with 2 or more guys.

I know one guy who hailed a moto late at night, he got taken down a back street where a few other motos mugged him. Another guy got mugged and stabbed by some motos outside Martinis.

PP is as safe as you make it or as unsafe as you make it. Tempt fate and see just how lucky you are.

You may not need a body guard but a local dependable driver is strongly suggested.

Some good advice there Shamas.

When it comes to walking at night, it will always be a risk.

If you appear drunk, it's an easy target for a robber. So if you're planning a big night out, better have a trusted moto driver with you or get a tuk-tuk with a drinking buddy.

Sure there are potential risks everywhere at night in PP, it's just better to minimise your chances of adding another figure to the statistics. Crime appears to be low until you hear of another incident.

[QUOTE=When it comes to walking at night, it will always be a risk.

A few months ago I was talking to a guy at Jim's watering hole. He teaches English in PP. He was walking with a limp and he explained that he had wrecked his bike a bit and he was out drinking so he took a moto to the ATM on the Quay.

It was about 2am and after he got the money and got back on the moto, they turned onto a side street and within the first block another bike pulled up along side and dragged him off of the moto. They really kicked his ass as they went through his pockets and grabbed his watch as well as the money. They were beating him with something hard and he was a bloody mess.

His driver had split at the first sign of trouble and he had a hard time getting anybody else to help him. Finally got a driver to take him to the hospital where they told him he had lost enough blood that he would probably have died if he had been much later.

Nights can be hard on your health as Shamus points out.

I am thinking of taking a year off from my job and getting my TEFL. I would like to teach in Cambodia because I don't have the money to teach anywhere else. However, I don't know the schools or hiring practices for cambo schools. Maybe someone has information. I will check back on this forum.

I beg to disagree, but PP is NOT dangerous.

On the other hand:
When you are white, drunk and pull money out of an ATM at 2AM you better have your medication checked. There is not much more to say, I guess.

The same can get you KILLED in an instant in ANY US city!

Or do I have to bring money meanwhile for getting a teachers job?

I have found the streets of PP reasonably safe of a night but like any where in the world you need to use common sence.

It is always worth the trip and it is quite different from thailand, thank god.
I was in phnom penh last week and it was raining every day and not too hot.Not many barang so a surfeit of girls, the 104 bar was very pleasant and full of lovely girls with no tatoos and no mobile phones-ahh heaven.
Flamingo is the best place to stay for the money and now has in room safes and an ATM in the lobby but it is full even at this time of year so book ahead.Good back up is the big luck, stay on level 6 near the pool or a bit more expensive with a lovely pool is the billabong-but not so GF.
Nice food on the riverfront at the green vespa, cantina and the jungle.

I spent a few days in Phnom Penh a week or so ago and enjoyed myself. Some comments:

* Flamingo's hotel is pretty good. It's centrally located near the Walkabout Hotel/Bar, Shanghai (hostess bar), and Heart of Darkness (Nightclub). I'the stay there again if I went back to Phnom Penh.

* Heart of Darkness. Seems to be the club to go to. I went there on three different evenings at different times and it was always fairly crowded. There's quite a few locals and tourists there as well as some working girls. The working girls tend to hang out by the entrance. I always went there with a girl, so I'm not sure what the quoted price is from a girl working there. As an aside, I think there is a 3, 000 riel entry fee (includes a free drink) for Cambodians but not for Foreigners, so the girls I went with were happy to be able to go with me for free.

* Hostess Bars: Bar 104/Shanghai. Take your pick, there are easily dozens of them. Some can be fairly aggressive and some can be lowkey. Just keep looking until you find what you want. I preferred the lowkey ones where there wasn't a lot of pressure to buy drinks all the time. It can be hit or miss if the girl is willing to leave the bar with with, and if anything else happens. (I did go to Rose Bar, and interestingly enough, not a single hostess came up to talk to me. They were mostly busy playing a card game in the corner with themselves.)

* Sharky's: I enjoyed coming here to watch the pool. It tends to be lowkey in that the girls will come by to talk to you, but not hassle you. Always had a lot of girls in the evenings which ranged from 5 to 9. I took two from here and had a lot of fun with them.

* Martini's: I didn't care for this place. The dance area is really dark and makes it hard to get a picture of what the girls look like. The beer garden area can be hot depending on the weather. In general I found the mix of girls to be better at Sharky's and other places. Be careful that you aren't too drunk if you pick a girl from the dance area. There were some really nasty looking ones there.

* Cyrcee bar: I'm not sure if I spelled this right, but I found it to be similar to a short-time bar like on Soi 6 in Pattaya, Thailand. The first night I walked in, I was swarmed with 10 girls all trying to talk to me and get me to pick them to go upstairs. After ordering a drink and fighting off most of them, I eventually picked one who was great. I even went back a few days later and barfined her for the night. I think it was $5-10 for the bar, and $30 for her. Unlike most girls I met, she'the yum yum for a long time and was pretty much compliant to do almost anything. I think in the long term it would be boring for me to stay with a girl who's almost like a robot, but for a night it was fun.

* Sightseeing: Hopefully everyone who goes to Phnom Penh will take the time to see Tuol Sleng and the killing fields. I'the recommend paying the $5 for the guide at the killing fields since there isn't a lot of signage and you'll get more out of it. Think of it as two fewer drinks and supporting a good cause. Some of the other sites were nice to see, but nothing else is a must see.

Ed, the owner of HOOTERS: Phnom Penh, shut the place down earlier this year; too many problems getting and keeping good staff. He thought about re-opening it under a different format but ended up selling it and returning to the USA for an indefinite stay.
There was never any connection with the real HOOTERS chain.
