What if an American employer has a job for a Chinese person and is willing to sponsor that person, does that make it easier to bring a Chinese person in to the U.S.?

Is there any way to get your favorite squeeze into the U.S. short of marrying her?

I remember there used to be a "fiancee visa" before, you could look into that.

Wish it were that easy, "fiance" is supposed to be a prelude to marriage, if you don't get married she get's sent back to China and may not be able to ever come back to the U.S. If you dont intend to marry it is really not going to help I don't think.

Many years ago it was a very common practice but now I think it is very difficult. I think if she is a high ranking scientist or something then it is possible. The American employer would have to proove that an american employee cannot be found for that job. If she is a famous artist for example, then an american equivalent cannot be substituted.

That said, I know very little about immigration.

I think the chinese restaurants in the US bring in illegal employees for a set price per person. Not certain about that. Those chinese buffets always have new girls who cannot speak english, so how did they get visas?

US immigration policy gives priority to blood relations. I think priority should be given to the best educated and most talented. Any foreign student who earns a legitamate PhD from a good unversity should be given a greencard.

Here is an idea. Bring the girl in to visit the consul general and have her take off all her clothes and tell the consul that you cannot find such a fine piece of ass in the US, you must import you own bedwarmer so that you can be a productive American. Tell the consul that most American females are over 200#s and cannot match this piece of fine ass. I am sure that the consul will agreed and will grant her a visa to come to the US and keep your bed warm all night long. Tell him that you do not understand a word of chinese so that you cannot really listen to her if she begins to *****..***** ... *****.

BBS stands for Barbershop. These usually consist of 2 or 3 girls sitting on a sofa or chairs inside where obviously you dont get your hair cut. At least not the hair at the top of your head and not with scissors.
The services range from HJ to FS depending. They also range from no smell to open sewer but are never very well decorated. Usually used by local Chinese so not too pricy. I have been able to meet some truly stunning girls there before, but sadly not in Beijing.

So, if a Barbershop is not really a barbershop, what would one call a facility if they wanted to get an actual haircut? Why does Barbershop have the acronym BBS instead of BS or just plain B? Are we to assume that it should be like Bar-Be-Que or Bar-Ber-Shop? Now, you might have to follow up explaining what a HJ and FS is or are.

Seems a Senior Member with 96 posts would know his way around the forums by now.

Really off-topic but anyone know latest on launch, pricing and availability of China's version of the iPhone?Apple has decided not to launch in China next year, although their plans do call for an Asian rollout of the iphone in 2008. Probably will be available in Japan and South Korea by next Summer.

You can buy unlocked US iphones in the stores here for around $700 USD, or there are some really shoddy knockoffs for about $150, but don't expect them to work like the real iphone.

I have my iphone in China, but I don't use it that much. Instead I make my local calls on a Sony Ericsson K550i that I picked up in Mong Kok for about $150 USD and just use my iphone when I need to make a brief but necessary call to the US. The iphone is a great ipod, and I love watching movies and listening to music when I ride the subway or take the ferry to HK

CJWSorry but that will not work. The decision to grant US Visas is solely at the discression of the US Embassy and Consolate officials, and they love to say "NO". The chances of an unmarried Chinese female getting a US Visa are less than you winning the lottery. IF, she had a few hundred thousand in the bank in China, and IF she owned a factory or two on the mainland, and IF you wrote a ton of letters she might have a 20% chance of getting a Visa. Of course this is a long process and usually requires foreign travel to several destinations before being granted a US Visa. It took me six months and a ton of letters of invitation to get my Chinese business partner a US Visa, and he was a Hong Kong guy with a family here in SZ. Finally on his third try they gave him a Visa. If he had been my GF there is no way they would have ever said "yes".

The finance visa still works, but you must get married within I believe 60 days of entering the US. If you're planning to marry a Chinese girl this is probably the best route, as you can immediately apply for a temporary green card.

It's a moving target. Right now, looks like May 2008 with a pricing around 4000RMB for the 16GB.

I've been eyeing it too, but I'm thinking about giving up and getting a Dopod P860 (HTC Touch Cruise). Plus, I'm wary of a Chinese company's first foray into high end tech devices.

Thanks...guess need to be patient.

HTC touch (and touch cruise) are nice but not interested in Win CE OS. I've purchased other chinese made/designed phones and they're fine. This one is break-through product - so maybe will wait to see reviews, etc.

Kinda long but some useful info

ES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
December 10, 2007
COUNTRY DESCRIPTION:The People’s Republic of China was established on October 1, 1949, with Beijing as its capital city. With well over 1.3 billion citizens, China is the world's most populous country and the third largest country in the world in terms of territory. China is undergoing rapid, profound economic and social change and development. Political power remains centralized in the Chinese Communist Party. Modern tourist facilities are available in major cities, but many facilities in smaller provincial cities and rural areas are frequently below international standards. Read the Department of State Background Notes on China for additional information.
ENTRY/EXIT REQUIREMENTS: A valid passport and visa are required to enter China and must be obtained from Chinese Embassies and Consulates before traveling to China. Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate Chinese visa are not permitted to enter and will be subject to a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense. Travelers should not rely on Chinese host organizations claiming to be able to arrange a visa upon arrival. Chinese authorities have recently tightened their visa issuance policy, in some cases requiring personal interviews of American citizens. Although a bilateral United States-China agreement provides for issuance of multiple entry visas with validity of up to one year for tourists and business visitors, Chinese consulates often limit visas to only one-entry. Visit the Embassy of China web site at http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/ for the most current visa information.
Visas are required to transit China. Persons transiting China on the way to and from Mongolia or North Korea or who plan to re-enter from the Hong Kong or Macau Special Administrative Regions should be sure to obtain visas allowing multiple entries. Permits are required to visit Tibet as well as many remote areas not normally open to foreigners. Every foreigner going to Tibet needs to get a travel permit which can be done through local travel agents. Permits cost approximately RMB 100, are single-entry and valid for at most three months. Most areas in Tibet are not open for foreigners except Lhasa City and part of Shan Nan. Foreigners can be fined up to RMB 500, taken into custody, and removed for visiting restricted areas. For information about entry requirements and restricted areas, travelers may consult the Visa Office of the Embassy of China (PRC) at Room 110, 2201 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20007, or telephone (202) 338-6688 and (202) 588-9760. For a list of services and frequently asked visa questions and answers, travelers can view the Chinese Embassy's web sites at: http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/. There are Chinese consulates general in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Americans traveling in Asia have been able to obtain visas to enter China from the Chinese visa office in Hong Kong and the Embassy of China in Seoul, South Korea.
In July 2007, the Chinese government tightened its regulations for altering or renewing visas for foreigners already in China. Visitors can no longer change tourist (L) and exchange (F) -type visas to other types and many applications must now be completed in person. There have also been reports that entry and exit violations are being more strictly enforced, with recent reports of police, school administrators and hotel staff checking to ensure that foreigners have not overstayed their visas.
Americans who overstay or otherwise violate the terms of their Chinese visas will be subject to a maximum fine of 5,000 RMB and departure delays and may be subject to detention. Travelers should note that international flights departing China are routinely overbooked, making reconfirmation of departure reservations and early airport check-in essential. An airport user fee for both international and domestic flights are now included in the cost of the ticket price.
In an effort to prevent international child abduction, many governments have initiated new procedures at entry / exit points. These often include requiring documentary evidence of relationship and permission for the child’s travel from the parent(s) or legal guardian if they are not present. Having such documentation on hand, even if not required, may facilitate entry/departure.
Dual national Americans, particularly those with dual Chinese and American nationality, should realize that entering China using their non-U.S. passport could mean that the Chinese Government may not afford them the consular protections to which they are entitled. While the U.S. Government will offer consular services to all U.S. citizens regardless of dual nationality, use of other than a U.S. passport to enter China can make it difficult for U.S. Consuls to assist dual national Americans who have been arrested or who have other concerns with the Chinese Government.
China does not recognize dual citizenship. U.S. Embassy and Consulate officials are often denied access to arrested or detained Americans who do not enter China using their U.S. passport. Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States who do not carry unexpired or otherwise clear evidence that they may re-enter the United States will encounter delays departing from China. Lawful Permanent Residents should renew and update U.S. residence documentation prior to their departure from the United States.
Information about dual nationality or the prevention of international child abduction can be found on our web site. For further information about customs regulations, please read our Customs Information sheet.
SAFETY AND SECURITY: Americans visiting or residing in China are advised to take routine safety precautions; that is, travelers should remain aware of their surroundings and of events happening around them. Travelers should respect local police requirements to avoid travel in some areas. In light of the greatly increased numbers of older Americans traveling to China, U.S. tour operators should check that local guides are familiar with medical facilities and emergency medical evacuation procedures.
American citizens who rent apartments with gas appliances should be aware that, in some areas, natural gas is not scented to warn occupants of gas leaks or concentrations. In addition, heaters may not always be well vented, thereby allowing excess carbon monoxide to build up in living spaces. Due to fatal accidents involving American citizens, travelers are advised to ensure all gas appliances are properly vented or to install gas and carbon monoxide detectors in their residences. These devices are not widely available in China and should be purchased prior to arrival.
Security personnel may at times place foreign visitors under surveillance. Hotel rooms, telephones, and fax machines may be monitored, and personal possessions in hotel rooms, including computers, may be searched without the consent or knowledge of the traveler. Taking photographs of anything that could be perceived as being of military or security interest may result in problems with authorities. Foreign government officials, journalists, and business people with access to advanced proprietary technology are particularly likely to be under surveillance.
Terrorism is rare in China, although a small number of bombings have occurred in areas throughout China. Recent bombings have largely been criminal activity, frequently the result of commercial disputes. The vast majority of these local incidents related to disputes over land seizures, social issues or environmental problems. While some incidents have grown to larger scales and involved some violence, these demonstrations have not been directed against foreigners.
Business disputes in China are not always handled through the courts. Sometimes the foreign partner has been held hostage, threatened with violence, or beaten up. Anyone entering into a contract in China should have it thoroughly examined, both in the United States and in China. Contracts entered into in the United States are not enforced by Chinese courts. Care should also be taken when entering into a lease for an apartment or house. There have been instances of foreigners being ejected from their apartments because of lease disputes, and being prevented from re-entering, even to retrieve their belongings.
Americans doing business in China should be aware that if they become involved in a business and/or civil dispute, the Chinese government may prohibit them from leaving China until the matter is resolved. Civil cases may sometimes be regarded as criminal cases and the defendant may be placed in custody. Civil law disputes may take years to resolve. There are many cases of American citizens being prevented from leaving China for months and even years while their civil cases are resolved.
U.S. citizens and business owners should be aware that many intending migrants from China will try to enlist their assistance to secure a U.S. visa. In one common scheme, a PRC national will contact a U.S. business feigning interest in a particular product or service. The PRC national then asks for a formal letter from the U.S. company inviting him or her (alone or with colleagues) to come to the United States to discuss or finalize a purchase, or establish formal cooperation between the two companies. The PRC national(s) will then use these invitation letters when they apply for U.S. visas to show they have a legitimate purpose of travel. While many such requests may be legitimate, some are not. Oftentimes, the PRC national initiating the contact has no relationship to his/her claimed Chinese employer. In fact, it is not unusual for these individuals to be part of elaborate human smuggling syndicates. Visa Sections at the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China are regularly contacted by U.S. businesses that unwittingly have been used to facilitate illicit migration schemes.
For the latest security information, Americans traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department’s web site, where the current Worldwide Caution Public Announcement, Middle East and North Africa Public Announcement, Travel Warnings and other Public Announcements can be found.
Up-to-date information on safety and security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the U.S. and Canada, or for callers outside the U.S. and Canada, a regular toll-line at 1-202-501-4444. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).
The Department of State urges American citizens to take responsibility for their own personal security while traveling overseas. For general information about appropriate measures travelers can take to protect themselves in an overseas environment, see the Department of State’s pamphlet A Safe Trip Abroad.
CRIME: China has a low crime rate. Pickpockets target tourists at sightseeing destinations, open-air markets, airports, and in stores, often with the complicity of low-paid security guards. Americans are perceived as wealthy and may be specifically targeted by petty criminals. Violence against foreigners, while rare, is on the increase. Over the past year, incidents of violence against foreigners, including sexual assaults, have taken place, usually in urban areas where bars and nightclubs are located. Robberies, sometimes at gunpoint, have occurred in western China and more recently in Beijing. There have been some reports of robberies and assaults along remote mountain highways near China’s border with Nepal. Travelers are sometimes asked by locals to exchange money at a preferential rate. It is illegal to exchange dollars for RMB except at banks, hotels, and official exchange offices. Due to the large volume of counterfeit currency in China, unofficial exchanges usually result in travelers losing their money and possibly left to face charges of breaking foreign exchange laws. If detained by police under suspicion of committing an economic crime involving currency, travelers may be delayed for weeks or months while police investigate the allegations.
Recently, there have been instances in Beijing and elsewhere of mobs in bar districts attacking foreigners. Nationalism is on the rise and disputes among Chinese citizens or between Chinese and foreigners can quickly escalate. Caution should be exercised when visiting bar districts late at night, especially on weekends. There have been reports of bar fights in which Americans have been specifically targeted due their nationality. Simple arguments can turn into mob scenes and many times have resulted in the American being detained for hours for questioning with no right to an attorney or consular officer at that stage.
Travelers should have small bills (RMB 10, 20 and 50 notes) for travel by taxi. Reports of taxi drivers using counterfeit money to make change for large bills are increasingly common, especially in Guangzhou. Arguments with taxi drivers over fares or over choice of route usually are not easily resolved on the scene. In some cases, Americans who instigate such arguments have been detained for questioning and are not usually released until the fare is paid or a settlement is reached and the American offers an apology. There has been an increase in the number of Americans falling victim to scams involving the inflation of tea and drink prices. Normally, the scam involves young people who approach English speaking tourists and ask to have a cup of tea with them to practice their English. When the bill comes for the tea, the charge has been inflated to an exorbitant amount. When the tourist complains, enforcers arrive to collect the money. A similar scam involves buying drinks for young women at local bars.
Throughout China, women outside hotels in tourist districts frequently use the prospect of companionship or sex to lure foreign men to isolated locations where accomplices are waiting for the purpose of robbery. Travelers should not allow themselves to be driven to bars or an individual's home unless they know the person making the offer. Hotel guests should refuse to open their room doors to anyone they do not know personally.
Recently, American visitors have encountered scams at the international airports in China whereby individuals appearing to work for the airport offer to take American tourists’ bags to the departure area, but instead they carry the bags to another area and insist that the visitor pay an airport tax. Travelers should be advised that the airport tax is now included in the price of the airline ticket. The airport police or security officers should be contacted if this happens.
The U.S. Embassy is aware of reports that airport thefts and robberies of travelers in China are on the rise, specifically in the domestic airports of Beijing, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, Dalian, Qingdao and Taiyuan. Additionally, some Americans report that they have been the victims of robberies while in their hotel rooms in tourist areas and some have been assaulted during these robberies.
American visitors to China should carry their passports with them out of reach of pickpockets. Americans with Chinese residence permits (juliuzheng) should carry these documents, and leave their passports in a secure location except when traveling. All Americans are encouraged to make photocopies of their passport bio-data pages and Chinese visas and to keep these in a separate, secure location, and to register with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. (See “Registration/Embassy Location” information below).
In many countries around the world, counterfeit and pirated goods are widely available. Transactions involving such products may be illegal under local law. In addition, bringing them back to the United States may result in forfeitures and/or fines. More information on this serious problem is available at http://www.cybercrime.gov/18usc2320.htm.
INFORMATION FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME: The loss or theft abroad of a U.S. passport should be reported immediately to the local police and the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. If you are the victim of a crime while overseas, in addition to reporting to local police, please contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for assistance. The Embassy/Consulate staff can, for example, assist you to find appropriate medical care, contact family members or friends and explain how funds could be transferred. Although the investigation and prosecution of the crime is solely the responsibility of local authorities, consular officers can help you to understand the local criminal justice process and to find an attorney if needed.
See our information on Victims of Crime.
ENGLISH TEACHERS/SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS: Many Americans have enjoyed their teaching experience in China; others have encountered significant problems. Prospective teachers are encouraged to read the Teaching in China Guide on Embassy Beijing’s American Citizen Services web site at http://beijing.usembassy-china.org.cn/teach.html. To assist the embassy in providing up to date information to prospective teachers, Americans experiencing problems should inform the Embassy by contacting the American Citizens Services Unit at telephone (86) (10) 6532-3431 or via e-mail at AmCitBeijing@state.gov.
MEDICAL FACILITIES AND HEALTH INFORMATION: The standards of medical care in China are not equivalent to those in the United States. Medical facilities with international staffs are available in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and a few other large cities. Many other hospitals in major Chinese cities have so-called VIP wards (gaogan bingfang). These feature reasonably up-to-date laboratory and imaging facilities. The physicians in these centers are generally well-trained. Most VIP wards also provide medical services to foreigners and have English-speaking doctors and nurses. Most hospitals in China will not accept medical insurance from the United States, with the exception of the following hospitals, which are on the BlueCross BlueShield’s worldwide network providers - overseas network hospitals’ list (http://www.bcbs.com/bluecardworldwide/index.html): Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, Beijing United Family Hospital, Beijing Friendship Hospital, International Medical Center in Beijing, and Peking Union Medical Center. Travelers will be asked to post a deposit prior to admission to cover the expected cost of treatment. Hospitals in major cities may accept credit cards for payment. Even in the VIP/foreigner wards of major hospitals, however, American patients have frequently encountered difficulty due to cultural, language, and regulatory differences. Physicians and hospitals have sometimes refused to supply American patients with complete copies of their Chinese hospital medical records, including laboratory test results, scans, and x-rays.
Note: Travelers should note that commonly used American medication is generally not available in China. Medications that bear the same or similar name to prescription medication from the United States are not always the same.
Ambulances do not carry sophisticated medical equipment. Injured or seriously ill Americans may be required to take taxis or other immediately available vehicles to the nearest major hospital rather than waiting for ambulances to arrive. Generally, in rural areas, only rudimentary medical facilities are available, often with poorly trained medical personnel who have little medical equipment and medications. Rural clinics are often reluctant to accept responsibility for treating foreigners, even in emergency situations.
ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL TREATMENTS: There have been increasing numbers of foreigners coming to China to receive alternative medical treatments or procedures prohibited in the United States relating specifically to stem-cell research. Any person contemplating these treatments should be fully aware of the risks of such procedures. The treatments can be dangerous and untested. The results are not guaranteed. In many instances, patients going for treatment develop secondary infections that cannot be handled by these facilities. They are transferred to hospitals for treatment and are responsible for all additional costs, including repatriation back to the United States. In some cases, these treatments have resulted in death.
MEDICAL INSURANCE: China has no public healthcare system to provide for people without insurance or money. If you become sick or injured, you will be expected to pay for your bills, sometimes even before treatment is offered.
The Department of State strongly urges Americans to consult with their medical insurance company prior to traveling abroad to confirm whether their policy applies overseas and whether it will cover emergency expenses such as a medical evacuation. Please see our information on medical insurance overseas.
TRAFFIC SAFETY AND ROAD CONDITIONS: While in a foreign country, U.S. citizens may encounter road conditions that differ significantly from those in the United States. The information below concerning China is provided for general reference only, and may not be totally accurate in a particular location or circumstance.
The rate of traffic accidents in China, including fatal accidents, is among the highest in the world. Driving etiquette in China is developing. As a result, traffic is often chaotic, and right-of-way and other courtesies are often ignored. Travelers should note that cars and buses in the wrong lanes frequently hit pedestrians and bicyclists. Pedestrians should always be careful while walking near traffic. Road/traffic conditions are generally safe if occupants of modern passenger vehicles wear seatbelts. Most traffic accident injuries involve pedestrians or cyclists who are involved in collisions or who encounter unexpected road hazards (e.g., unmarked open manholes). Foreigners with resident permits can apply for PRC driver licenses; however, liability issues often make it preferable to employ a local driver. Child safety seats are not widely available in China. Americans who wish to ride bicycles in China are urged to wear safety helmets meeting U.S. standards.
The number of American citizens involved in serious and deadly traffic accidents in Beijing is increasing. The Embassy strongly encourages travelers to exercise special caution when crossing streets in China’s cities as pedestrians do not have the right-of-way. Please note that many taxi cabs do not have functioning seatbelts for passengers.
All drivers should be aware of the Chinese regulations regarding traffic accidents. These include the requirement that drivers:
* Not move their vehicles or disturb the scene of the accident unless and until ordered to by the traffic police (in Shanghai and Beijing, the police now prefer that if the parties can reach agreement as to who was at fault they move the vehicles out of the flow of traffic.)
* Summon the traffic police and wait at the scene until the police arrive and complete their investigation.
If called to an accident, the police may take 20 minutes or longer to arrive. Once the police arrive, they will complete a preliminary investigation and arrange a time for you to report to the police station responsible for the accident scene. The police will prepare a written report, in Chinese, describing the circumstances of the accident. They will present the report to you either at the scene, or more likely at the police station, and ask you to sign it verifying the details of the accident. Do not sign the report as is unless your Chinese is good enough to completely understand the report and you find it totally accurate. If you either do not understand it or believe it is partly or wholly inaccurate, you may either:
1. Write a disclaimer on the report to the effect that you cannot read and understand the report and cannot attest to the accuracy thereof, but are signing it because of the police requirement that you do so, and then sign, or
2. Write your own version of the accident, in English, on the police form and indicate that your signature only attests to the accuracy of the English version.
Most incidents (such as an accident) will draw a crowd. Drivers should remain calm. A crowd will usually move in very close to the accident and participants. In many cases the bystanders consider themselves to be an ad hoc jury. They may call for money, usually from RMB 100 to 1,000, to be paid by the party they consider at fault. The amount is not necessarily relevant to the amount of damage. A certain amount of bargaining is normal, even at accidents involving two Chinese parties. Though a crowd may seem threatening, crowd assaults on foreigners at accidents have not been reported. If a traffic police booth is nearby, you may wish to leave the vehicle and walk there to await the arrival of the police accident team. Alternatively, you may walk to a shop, restaurant, or other location nearby in the immediate vicinity and wait for police.
Your vehicle should not leave the scene of an accident. Your actions may serve to further incite the crowd if they perceive that you are fleeing to evade responsibility for your share of blame or payment of damages. The crowd may attempt to keep your vehicle at the accident scene by standing in the way or blocking the roadway with vehicles, bicycles and other objects.
Please refer to our Road Safety page for more information. Visit the web site of the China National Tourist Bureau, the Chinese authority responsible for road safety, at http://www.cnta.com/index.asp.
AVIATION SAFETY OVERSIGHT: The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has assessed the Government ofChina’s Civil Aviation Authority as being in compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) aviation safety standards for oversight of China’s air carrier operations. For more information, travelers may visit the FAA’s web site at http://www.faa.gov/safety/programs_initiatives/oversight/iasa.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Chinese customs authorities may enforce strict regulations concerning temporary importation into or export from China of items such as antiquities, banned publications, some religious literature, or vehicles not conforming to Chinese standards. It is advisable to contact the Embassy of China in Washington or one of China’s consulates in the United States for specific information regarding customs requirements.
Some Americans report that items purchased in China and believed to be antiques or genuine gems are often later determined to be reproductions. Some travelers report that this occurs even at state-owned stores and museum stores. Travel agencies and tour guides will often escort tour groups to particular shops at which the travel agency or tour guide will share in the profit, and may claim to guarantee the “authenticity” of items sold in those shops. Travelers are warned to be vigilant when purchasing items in China.
China’s customs authorities encourage the use of an ATA (Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission) Carnet for the temporary admission of professional equipment, commercial samples, and/or goods for exhibitions and fair purposes. ATA Carnet Headquarters, located at the U.S. Council for International Business, 1212 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10036, issues and guarantees the ATA Carnet in the United States. For additional information call (212) 354-4480, send an e-mail to atacarnet@uscib.org, or visit www.uscib.org for details.
Please see our Customs Information.
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS: The southeast coast of China is vulnerable to strong typhoons, usually from July to September. Travelers planning a trip to China can obtain general information about natural disaster preparedness on the Internet from the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at http://www.fema.gov/. Additional information about currently active typhoons can be obtained on the University of Hawaii tropical storm page at http://www.solar.ifa.hawaii.edu/Tropical/tropical.html.
CRIMINAL PENALTIES: While in a foreign country, a U.S. citizen is subject to that country's laws and regulations, which, in China, differ significantly from those in the United States and do not afford the protections available to the individual under U.S. law. Penalties for breaking the law can be more severe than in the United States for similar offenses. Persons violating China’s laws, even unknowingly, may be expelled, arrested or imprisoned. Penalties for possession of, use of, or trafficking in illegal drugs in China are severe, and convicted offenders can expect long jail sentences and heavy fines. Engaging in sexual conduct with children or using or disseminating child pornography in a foreign country is a crime, prosecutable in the United States. Please see our information on Criminal Penalties.
On March 1, 2006, a new Public Security Law went into effect that gives police new powers relating to the commission of a wide range of offenses, including the authority to detain and deport foreigners. The list of offenses has been expanded to include certain religious activities and prostitution-related crimes.
Americans in China, who are not staying at hotels, including Americans who are staying with friends or relatives, must register with local police as soon as they arrive. Otherwise, they may be fined up to 500 RMB per day.
Americans who are questioned by police should immediately notify the U.S. Embassy or the nearest consulate. Foreigners detained for questioning may not be allowed to contact their national authorities until the questioning is concluded. Foreigners who are detained pending trial have often waited over a year for their trial to begin. Foreigners suspected of committing a crime are rarely granted bail. Criminal punishments, especially prison terms, are much more severe than in the United States. Persons violating the law, even unknowingly, may be expelled, arrested or imprisoned. Criminal penalties for possession, use, or trafficking of illegal drugs are strict, and convicted offenders can expect severe jail sentences and fines. Non-American foreigners have been executed for drug offenses. Several Americans currently incarcerated in China have been implicated in financial fraud schemes involving falsified bank or business documents, tax evasion schemes and assisting alien smuggling, including selling passports to provide aliens with travel documents.
In the past, protesters detained for engaging in pro-Falun Gong activities have been quickly deported from China after being questioned. Several of these protesters alleged they were physically abused during their detention. In addition, they allege that personal property, including clothing, cameras, and computers have not always been returned to them upon their deportation. Chinese authorities report that while they have deported these foreigners quickly after public demonstrations in favor of the Falun Gong, future adherents who intentionally arrive in China to protest against Chinese policy may receive longer terms of detention and possibly face prison sentences. In one instance, an American Falun Gong practitioner who was traveling in China on personal business was detained and asked to provide information on other Falun Gong sympathizers in the United States.
Several Americans have been detained and expelled for passing out non-authorized Christian literature. Sentences for distributing this material may range from three to five years imprisonment, if convicted.
CHILDREN'S ISSUES: Americans involved in child custody disputes with Chinese national spouses should be aware that Chinese courts may give preference to the Chinese citizen spouse and that Americans may encounter limited appeal opportunities under the current legal system. For information see our Office of Children’s Issues web pages on intercountry adoption and international parental child abduction.
REGISTRATION / EMBASSY LOCATION: Americans living or traveling in China are encouraged to register with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate through the State Department’s travel registration web site so that they can obtain updated information on travel and security within China. Americans withoutInternet access may register directly with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. By registering, American citizens make it easier for the Embassy or Consulate to contact them in case of emergency.
In October last year, I got a 6 month multiple entry Chinese visa from Japan Travel in Hong Kong. While my passport is still valid for another year, I only have 1 empty page left. Since I plan to visit a number of countries that require a full-page visa on my next trip, I need a new passport. BTW, they won’t add pages to a Belgian passport.
When I revisit China early next month, I will have:
- A valid Chinese visa in my old passport (corner cut off).
- A new passport without a Chinese via.
I contacted Japan Travel by e-mail, and they replied that my Chinese visa would still be considered valid, even if the passport it was in was no longer valid. Chinese immigration will put the entry/exit stamps in my new passport.
Great news! I can travel straight from HKIA to Changping, without having to spend time in HK to apply for another visa (or visiting the Chinese embassy at home). While Japan Travel are experts on Chinese visa matters, I would still like confirmation. Has anyone ever traveled with 2 passports (invalid passport with valid visa, valid passport without visa)?
I'm continuing a thread here that began in the Photo Gallery.
SE Asia Joe stated that after reading various posts that the conclusion was that you couldn't do a decent double in China. I disagree, certainly as that relates to p4p.
Just about any working girl in China has a friend with whom she is willing to do a "double-fly," as the local lingo puts it, and therefore, all you have to do is ask. This does not, of course, mean that that guarantees you a full-on lesbian show, after which they turn their attention on you for mind-blowing sex. But it also depends on the providers and how you've set the bar prior to the act.
I've had seven threesomes with Chinese girls, and yes, the quality varies. I would say half were soup to nuts and full-on, the other two basically involved me fucking one girl, then the other, back and forth until I decided to come in or on the good-looking one.
Manage the situation. It's generally better to let one girl pick her partner, chances are they know each other and are more comfortable with each other, and therefore more willing to push the envelope. Make it clear what you want, and also make it clear what you're willing to pay for what you're asking. That doesn't mean you need to bid up, but it does avoid disappointment later on.
If nothing else, don't avoid doing it just because it may not live up to your fantasy. If you've never tried two pussies, two mouths, and four tits at the same time, you don't know what you're missing, regardless of whether they use them on each other or just you.
I can't remember how many times I've tried in China,
Back in the room, the whole story changed.... A complete waste of time and money.
To cut a long story short, I was disappointed for the umpteenth time. I guess what keeps me going back for more is my memory of a pair I had in Qing Yuan once. No holds barred. I'll never forget the doggy finish in one while the other did AR on me from behind. It doesn't get any better than that. ...
I also had much better luck with duos in Thailand. I've done the lesbian show girls. It may not be real, but they sure pretend good. at the end of the day, finding a great duo is very, very rare.
Just my POV.
OAH
Good idea to move the discussion here.
My experiences have also been quite similar. Great action at the Eden and at another place in Bangkok that's frequented by locals but I can't remember the name.
In China - its always promises promises - but little else. And forgetabout it when you even suggest any lesbo action. Little pecks or kisses on NON-nether parts - and that is as far as they'd go. And yeah - two tongues on my little pecker.... or ball and pecker - but never with any enthusiasm.
The closest I got to having something half decent was when I got to bang one gal whilst the other one Started to AR. Heaven for a couple seconds and then she decides that I wasn't popping fast enough and started pushing my butt with her face to "fasten the tempo - at least for another copuple seconds or so ... and then started pushing me with her hands and pretty soon..... her whole body... grunting and shoving and pushing and ....
Meanwhile the other one - the one I was banging - had started moaning and making all these fake noises...and then grunting ... and then loudly exclaiming... and then half ass real "ayayah" and then real "ayaahs" and then her pushing me away... her trying to breathe...her face contorting to real pain as she gasped for more air..... all the while the other one still pushing and shoving and grunting.... and all I could do was break out in laughter.... with the one I was banging cursing and screaming at the other one... and her now pulling and grabbing me away from her battered "Sister"
THAT - was about as good as it got in China for me!
Totally true. I have done my share of 3P in China, HK, Taiwan and the States. Have has many memorable ones, but none with full on lesbo action. Many have come close but nothing like what we see in porno movies. But I agree with Intransit, if you know the girl and have a good experience with her, the better the 3P will be. My best experience have been with girl I have done before and later they ask me to go to their place where they can keep all the money and no time restrictions. She took her 19 year old cousin and we GOT IT ON....
I would say do it, ideally with a girl you have done a few times and get GFE from offer it to you. Then you will get a good experience. And if she is doing it freelance, then it will be even better since she is more motivated to make you happy and less worried about time. Good luck.
I tried it only a few times, with similar results then posted here. I wouldn't consider it now.
What is a turn off for me is the additional theft risk. 2 girls are more difficult to keep an eye on then one.
But if I see a perfect pair I would go for it again. Part of it is probably language ability and to get girls that are really bi or gay and know each other. Then it may work.
IMHO, the chance of finding real bi or gay girls in China is slim. I knew a real bi girl in Thailand and we hunted together. This was great while it lasted. Some try to do the lesbo thing for our benefit, but it is too obviously put on with all the giggling and shit.
I reckon I will keep trying duos from time to time, looking to replicate the few good experiences from the past.
And I guess that - from the arbitrer of these things on our boards - will come the wisdom that there is empirical evidence to support that China is - (O)f course (W)ithout (L)esbians.
For the last couple of months I have been using http://www.jiayuan.com/ for introductions. If a person has some Chinese language skills, it is a gold mine. The site has a quite high volume of traffic. My target age group of 40+ lies a bit beyond the desired range of most mongers, I know.
Yesterday I settled on an angel, 40 years old with an out-of-wedlock 14-year-old son. This does not sound attractive, but she is the best-looking 40-year-old I have ever seen. At age 20 she must have been a hazard to traffic, with drivers gawking and not watching the road. Apparently for some time she was the second wife of some high-level cadre in this city. There is no such thing as a freebie, so I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Saw the "Okomoto 0.03 Nude" condoms for sale in HK for the first time about a month ago and bought a box to try out.
Overall, they are excellent, using a new latex technology with a light touch of lubrication providing good feel and safety while remaining super thin. The regular Okomoto 0.03 and Okomoto 0.03 Real Fit versions are very good already, but if you have a choice between the 3 versions, Okomoto 0.03 Nude wins hands down.
The Okomoto 0.03 Nude are more expensive, about $98HKD for a box of 10, so it's almost the same as the Sagami 0.02, but I prefer the Sagami. Though the Sagami condoms are unlubricated (so requires a horny and/or lubed gal) and needs a minute or so of "warming/softening up inside the pussy" to really show it's great effectiveness as a "barely there" condom.
As far as I've seen, both the Okomoto 0.03 Nude and Sagami 0.02 are not sold in Mainland China. The generic 0.02 condoms I've seen for sale at some Mainland 7-11 are decent and worth using, but not as good as the Sagami.
I am considering Holiday in City center and mongering locations or would appreciate if you senior members would be kind enough to take this newbie under their wing and PM any numbers of gals that you reccomend or mongering location.
I did RTFF the forum in detail and most of the info looks dated on Harbin.
Happy to reciprocate if you interested to know of Shanghai or New York.
Thank you in adavance
KK1,
There are no beer bars (Zhuhai except but you cannot pull the girls in the bars), nor go-go bars.
Just my POV.
OAH
I think OAH would agree with me here, the best place in China for beer bars, girly bars, nightclubs and discos is Beijing and Shanghai. They are also the best cities for finding nice girlfriends who speak english and they have the best restaurants. Beijing also has the best historical sites, but I prefer Shanghai as a city.
There is an overnight train with sleeper cars connecting the two cities. It's a fun way to travel and you save on the price of a hotel room.
Most other towns have girls, but they generally do not speak english and do not have western style entertainment joints. The discos and ktvs are full of chinese guys only, and english is very rarely spoken.
Thanks Santa for your input. I understand that Beijing and Shanghai are quite expensive. Being an Asian, I don't get the advantage of an Westerner as China has significant race preference.That's why I was looking for a place similar to Pattaya/Angeles City where sex is quite commercialized and I can have better milage for my money.
Well, it's true that Beijing and Shanghai are more expensive, but they are interesting international cities. They have interesting places to visit during the day and good entertainment venues at night. Shanghai actually does have cheap and attractive pussy available, if you read the forum and know where to go. And Beijing has mongolian girls at Maggies.
The lesser known industrial cities of China may have cheaper pussy, but there is fuck all to do. No historical or beautiful places, and no western style pubs and clubs at night.
It's kind of like comparing New York with Detroit. It's much cheaper in Detroit, but the city sucks.
Of course, you know best what suits your needs.
Hmmm... perhaps try Shekou (West shenzhen) where there is a tamer version of Pattaya - and better chance of getting English speaking providers/going to be much more Non-Chinese speaking friendly - assuming you don't speak the lingo. Chang Ping is going to be quite difficult to tackle
I wonder if any of you have used them and if so are they reliable.
I also saw a post baulking at the price of Rmb 300, which is line 40 $, which I think is very reasonable. Or I am missing something?
I have never personally tried one of these out-call services because I anticipate the following -
The girl that shows up will NOT be the one in the picture
If you decided to accept the girl anyway she will start with the 300RMB massage, and the try to up-sell, asking for additional money for additional services.
As a test, I took one of the mobile numbers in an ad and put it into Google. I found that it was post on several different boards, with different pictures and descriptions. I think what is happening is that an agency posts several different ads with different phone numbers, but the calls all come back to the same "distribitor".
If someone has had a positive experience from one of these out-calls, please let me know as they sound very tempting!
Gentlemen. My wife and I will be in Hong Kong for a few days before going to Shenzhen for a day and overnight stay to meet my little Chinese friend and her parents ( who I am flying down from deepest China).
Time constraints mean 1 day in China, but my wife and I would like my friend to spend a few days with us in HK. She told me it is hard for Chinese citizens to get into HK, but I swear I found a site that said they have to go to a certain office and just apply. However, both she and I cannot find this site.
My question is-does anyone know how a Chinese citizen can get a permit to visit HK?
I greatly appreciate your help.
Petemcc,
It may be difficult for her to get a HK pass unless she is a Guangdong resident.
That said, there are many travel agents in Shenzhen that arrange them. You should ask your friend to check (in advance) with some of them.
It is very difficult for Chinese citizens to visit Hong Kong. It is immaterial whether she is a guangdong province resident. The only way Mainland China residents to visit Hong Kong is,
1. In a group tour arranged by a tour company.
2. Business required visits arranged by Hong Kong company.
3. Communist party related activities.
4. Job contracts offered by Hong Kong company.
If you are a GuangDong resident or a resident of some other big cities then it IS VERY easy to get a travel permit to HK, but only for a few days/weeks. It is now very very commen for mainland people to visit HK on their own. But if she is from a small area,,,,
A few weeks ago one of my employees here in Beijing visited HongKong alone for holiday. He told me it was very easy for him to get the necessary travel permit - no passport required. the only difficulty was it took 3 day for the paperwork to be processed.
Rules have been changed for quite a while. The Chinese Government now allows resident (with Household Registration or Hukou) in a list of bigger cities to obtain travel permit to visit HK by themselves (instead of joining a tour group). All of the 1st tier cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, etc.) and a lot of the the bigger 2nd tier cities (like Chengdu, Shenyang, etc.) are on the list.
Like Sammy T has said, the applicatioin process is very simple. More like paying the fees to get the permit. But it will take a few day to process.
Usually I don't go to ktv because I don't care for the soppy romantic songs, terrible singing, smoking and dice-cup slamming. But I was invited to a private party last night and I went. It was a rather tame and formal gathering, as far as ktv parties go. Some of the guys were with regular girlfriends and no hanky panky going on.
The air-con was on, even though it was cold outside, and the girl I chose was scantily dressed. The poor girl was freezing, her hands were like ice. So being the gentleman I am, I sat the gal on my knee, Santa likes them on his knee, and put my coat around her. Within a few minutes I had my hand in her knickers. There was about 20 people in the room, but the majority were too busy to notice that Santa was masturbating his gal. After I had gotten her good and wet, and she had downed a few drinks, she put her hand down my pants and played with my Rednosed Rudolf. :D
A few of the guys in the room could see by the grin on my face that something was UP, but the rest were too busy singing, drinking, eating, falling over and acting silly.
Well, the lesson to be learned is to bring a coat into the ktv room. Sit the lady on your lap, wrap your coat around her and play. If she is not cooperative, you can quickly tell the mommy she is not suitable and exchange her for another.
A special Thank You to the ISG member who invited me.
Also, in the Dongguan thread (I think) is info for getting on here if this site seems hard to access while here.
SidLast night we were at dinner in SZ when a group of Chinese business men got so drunk that they started throwing glasses and dishes at each other. Ah China. Land of extremes. I'm not sure where the Chinese lack of respect for personal space and privacy comes from, but one need only get on a subway, stand in line at a check out counter, or drive on the roads to experience it first hand.
I don't consider it racist to comment on Chinese behavior that is common place. Like spitting on the sidewalk it is just a way of life. Different. Not wrong. But not western. I think it's OK for us to make these observations to keep from going over the edge living here.
With regard to traveling on a flight with a large number of Mainland Chinese, I do think it is a matter of education and social habits they have that they unknowingly carry over to aircraft.
I saw an old guy spit on the floor of a plane because that is what he assumed was ok to do. They don't think about this stuff, they just do it.
I don't think it is necessarily racist to point out bad habits. For instance, I find it very annoying when people carry a conversation at their normal "street volume" (ie very loud) in confined space, such as inside aircraft, without consideration for others (I am glad I usually have earplugs with me, or use headphones). It is as if they are in their own world and they don't really care about anyone else.
Basically Mainland Chinese have never really had to concern themselves with people around them. Their sense of personal space, and etiquette (sometimes non-existent) is simply not calibrated for international travel.
However, I am not apologizing for their oftentimes crass behavior. I am just pointing out the fact that they often don't know basic etiquette when traveling.
I will say that I usually enjoy flights that originate from Japan, and abhor flights originating from mainland China.
it is just a way of life. Different. Not wrong.
.
Agree! The differences in behavior, ethics or manners, is the result of different conditioning (learning).
We sometimes behave in ways that they would find shameful, like "going dutch" and not fighting for the bill.
I recently invited a girl to go to the park. She did not reply. She probably thought, "cheap bastard, doesn't want to take me shopping".
If we perceive behavior in China as being characteristic of the Han race, rather than as the actions of individuals, than that perception is racist in nature. There are countless (literally) Chinese nationals that do not spit, do not cut into lines, do not ignore screaming children, etc. Do a larger percentage of Chinese citizens behave this way than say, Mexicans? Maybe. Who knows? Are these behavioral variations dependent on education? on social constraints? on family relationships? on bathroom construction limitations during the cultural revolution, or on racial characteristics that are genetic in nature?
I may very well be a fat lazy violent drunken sex-crazed American. I trust and hope that my generous Chinese hosts perceive me as a victim of my nation's culture, or lack of it.
Not me. But to add a thought, people that cut into lines are annoying, but, it is annoying because there was a line in the first place, a line implies that the majority does line up, otherwise no line would form. Right?
Our sometimes negative impression of Chinese people is usually formed by a very small minority, because the large majority you simple don't notice as they behave, what I call, civilized.
One can shift ones own impression by looking, and noticing, the "good", and ignoring the "bad" (were possible).
PS: a cut into MY line will be swiftly corrected.
PPS: spitting is seldom a problem nowadays, however, an experienced monger will not put his shoes right next to the bed.
Perhaps what we are really talking about is Stereotyping, not Racism per se.
Humans naturally want to categorize and organize things within their own minds. By sorting all the information we gather into our brains, we have to make sense of it all.
Stereotyping is a way of compartmentalizing people by focusing on their social behavior, which is an easily observable thing to do for the casual observer.
From this, we develop social stereotypes that sort things out for us, otherwise we would all be confused. Instead we make sense of the world around us.
A lot of social stereotyping is developed from observing basic social interaction, which explains for example why a lot of WG's will refuse Laowai for fear that their dicks are too big. That said, there is often a grain of truth in stereotypes, otherwise there wouldn't be one. The WG who refuses, must likely not have experienced very many Laowai, so her perception is that they all must have a big dick.
However, if you have a limited sample of information, you tend to develop an incorrect or very limited social stereotype that only applies locally or to a very small group
Why is it that non working girls the give BJs seldom spit compared to the WGs here?
I’ve just had another SW that spit on the hotel room floor leave, it made me wonder about this, I don’t remember non pros ever spitting.
I mainly do free kine, then SWs, hotel in calls or BBS take out, seems common for these females to hack & spit while giving a BJ. I’m not sure if the sauna girls spit as much from my lack of experience with them.
Free kine rarely spit on purpose in my experiences here.
Is it cause they hope we’ll feel bad & let her stop?
Who forgot to teach them Not to spit on the carpet in the room?
Thirty years ago everybody was spitting in China. The streets of Shanghai had spittoons along the sidewalks full of green gob, they had spittoons because it was a comparatively modern city. Buses and trains were very overcrowded and everybody had respiratory infections, spit was everywhere.
Tissue paper is new to China. Since it is now quite common, due to a huge public health campaign, spitting is now not so common and respiratory infections have been greatly reduced.
Europe and America was probably the same in the not very distant past. Tissue paper is an under-appreciated and wonderful invention.
Many (or maybe most) people in the world still wipe their arseholes with their fingers. In the Philippines they use a water sprayer, which I think does a better job of cleaning away the shit. In this respect I think they are more hygenic than westerners.
But why do you think a nice looking girl that probably spits very little in public can do it so easily in a mans hotel room?
And I'm curious about if the better trained & performing KTV & sauna girls spit as much while trying to make us happy.
I often spit when I need to, 'if there is a place to spit.
The SW may blow 10to 20 guys a day and I am sure she is sick of it. Its kinda like her saying to you............... go fuck yourself. Its all attitude with these WG's and SW's. But , non-WG wants to please and will go the extra mile, not all of course.
After 1 year on ISG , I have read more negitive reports about WG's than positive. Don't we all hate doing shit for our boss that we don't like , even though we still get paid. IMHO , It all come down to attitude. I don't really think they are taught this . I don't think there is a happy hooker out there , but I don't feel sorry for them , they all choose this job for greed, fast money and easy work.
In the normal working world , we all get fired if we don't perform. The WG can just go give the same bad service to the next sucker that comes along. This is why I like to read post from the men who live , monger and work in China. They seem to know how to avoid all this bullshit.
yes, don't you just hate it when after a nice two-girl session of anal sex, where you're so relaxed because you've convinced both girls to lick your bung-hole for a nice snapshot, and for an extra 100RMB they agreed to eat each other while you bang them alternately doggie, and tonight your hot load was big enough to spread across both their cute 18 year old faces, but then at that wonderful life-affirming moment, one of these Guanxi peasants has the nerve to spit on the Holiday Inn's iron-gray lifetime-warranty faux-wool carpet?!?
When will this country evolve to Western standards of hygienic behavior?
Holy hell!! Would you mind sharing these girls phone #'s with me? They can spit all over the floor if I get this much action from them!
Actually, it was a pretty good bbbj, I could have probably cim but at a buck fity, one pop is all ya get & I prefer to pop in her other hole.
10 to 20 guys a day would be a Very good day for a SW in many Chinese cities, specially for the not so young & tight models, often, they don’t come out till 8 or 9 pm. I’d believe a sauna girl may reach that number on occasion but she’d need to put in some long hours. Or in the few back alley places where cheap BJs are the main menu item. But, I’ll agree, they probably tire of it before the first one of the day.
It’s also quite possible that many do actually live, work & monger here a number of years but don’t post a lot.
Maybe one of them can tell me if the higher end WGs spit as much as cheaper kinds? Or point to 1 of the 100's of threads that says, I don't remember reading a comparison.
Can I stick my neck out and say that having recently returned to China via Dubai after the Xmas break, the Chinese contingency on board my flight have now without a shadow of a doubt, completely sealed the top spot for the most ignorant, unbehaved and ill mannered people I have ever experienced in all of my travels! The poor cabin girls on the Emirates flight didnt know what the fuck had hit them! And before anyone chimes in, Im not talking about 1 or 2, or even a bunch of kids (although that would be a very easy way to describe it). I could go on and on in detail but I will refrain.
Apologies for the off topic and somewhat downbeat start to the New Year, but I just needed to get this off my chest!
SidRecently went to Macau and on the ferry ride back, couldn't help but think of this post.
It was a 6am ferry and about 99% of the passengers just wanted to sleep (myself included). Actually, seemed like all passengers except for four Brits. It was beyond ridiculous. Didn't stop at loud chatter. Didn't stop at bad singing. One dude tried to climb over a row of seats (which was occupied with four sleeping, older ladies) for god knows what reason. It wasn't only the Chinese passengers which were directing nasty looks at them (not that they noticed any of them).
One of the guys tried calming the rest of his crew down, how people were trying to sleep, "shhhhh", etc.
It took a great deal of restraint for me to NOT remove the two bottles of wine in my back pack and bludgeon the four of them over the head with them.
Anyway, I think it's not so much about one group/nationality/ethnicity of people being "more rude" than another.
1) Etiquette is about social rules and norms and thus are defined by those rules/norms developed within that society. Between different societies, there will be differences in rules/norms. I remember as a kid, some teacher or other telling me it was rude to put your elbows on the table. I think that in some societies, it's rude to point your feet at others. Chinese remove their shoes before entering the home. When it comes to noise levels and personal space, seems that colder climate places (Germans, Brits, Japanese) prefer more personal space and lower noise levels where warmer places (HK, Italy) go for more intimate contact and higher noise levels. (DISCLAIMER: I'm not a sociologist or any other type of expert, just throwing out my personal ideas and observations).
2) When leaving your own society, seems that there's this tendency to feel that, well, those rules don't really apply anymore. I would guess that most readers of this board are "visitors" to new areas. Even guys that have relocated to China or elsewhere, do you really consider China or elsewhere to be "home". Sort of wonder whether you would have the same behavior/attitudes here as you would back home?
Many of the guys here on ISG , always say....... When in Rome. I live in Rome , its called the USA. I have to respect and put up with well over 200 cultures. At times , I do get sick of it. The world needs to learn the same. The world is so small now. I do not go out of my way to be rude , but I am sure that Chinese people see me as rude. I also think that the Chinese are more forgiving than many other cultures. The are good people.
I really don't go alone with the "When in Rome shit" . I just do my best and try not to hurt people. I was at a big dinner in China with maybe 12 people and I was the only one with his elbows on the table , while the rest spit their bones on the table all night. One day my GF took me out to eat where they spit the bones and other shit on the floor. I told my GF , don't take me to this shit hole ever again . Sorry , but when in China , the culture has to go both ways with me.
be safe , take care and do your best.
I would say that at least 90% of BBS girls are spitters. The % of sauna and KTV girls is less, but still high. The lowest percentage is SW since they do BBBJCIM often in cars. The difference is whether they use tissues and put the wastebasket next to the bed or just let it go on the floor. They spit on the floor more often in their own places, then my hotel room, but I normally warn them ahead of time.
I have never asked directly why, but they seem to spit naturally like there is nothing wrong about it. I doubt that most have any idea that it is a major turn off.
Has any monger actually asked a WG not to spit at all? What did she say?
Here's how I do it. I'm usually out of the Bathroom and in bed before the gal. I would then watch to see what they do. Some - not that many - would take the garbage can and tissue papers close to the bed. VERY GOOD SIGN as it automatically means that a BJ is definitely on offer! If she doesn't do this - I would be the one who gather the paper and garbage can next to the bed - MY SIGN that I expect a BJ! Hell, I'd even fill up two glasses with Hot AND Cold water - if I wanted FireIce! Somehow, all these things signal to the gal what you expect - and if they have any qualms - they would discuss it. Or else, they would ask what you were doing and that is when you explain it all to them!
So I'd end up with what I want exactly PLUS I would NOt have them spitting on the floor. Whatchyall think?
I've had similar negative experiences on flights packed with local Chinese people. It is simply a lack of education in social etiquette and poor examples set by those with influence e.g. parents, officials, teachers, etc. I can remember flying on a domestic flight with people pissing in the sink. Many had never been on an airplane before and did not know how to use the toilet. And, it goes beyond the airplanes into total communities in China. Did you ever notice that common areas of apartment blocks can be totally trashed whilst the inside of the apartments themselves are spotless and tastefully decorated? Many local governments have launched "Living in Harmony" programs for education at a grass roots level. It will take time to change.
Just my POV.
agreed that domestic flights can sometimes be challenging. my main peeve remains the cutting in lines, everywhere including the airport security and airplane boarding (plus banks, restaurants, etc.). pretty obvious the planes not leaving till everyone gets one , and yet...
on a separate and happier note, i flew shenzhen airlines recently and had a pleasant experience. the attendants were all young and attractive, they wore tight red skirts cutting above the knees, long black leather boots with heels! and halfway into the flight, they line up in the aisle and do an exercise routine with all the passengers, and afterwards do a dance show!! kind of quirky, but if you get past that, very cute and endearing i think. try creating an airline like this at home... they'd be sued within minutes.
It's funny, if the girl doesn't look so good, is giving me bad service, or a very bad blowjob, and spits on the floor, I become angry. It's like adding injury to insult. Salt in the wound!
If she is hot, lots of fun, gives me a terrific blowjob, and spits on the floor, then I don't give a shit. I'm happy! Good one baby. My kind of gal. Yep, she even spits like a champ!
China to clean up karaoke parlors
Associated Press
Jan 17, 2008
BEIJING -- A government campaign targeting China's karaoke parlors will try to stamp out the selling of sex and drugs and the use of unlicensed music, the Ministry of Culture said.
The "Sunshine Project," which began Monday, comes as the Chinese capital prepares to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors for the Beijing Olympics this summer. Chinese leaders, who see the games as a chance to show off a modern, thriving country, have taken great pains to ensure that the event is flawless.
The ministry said on its Web site Tuesday that the initiative would run through 2010 and target the 200,000 "entertainment enterprises" in China, though it mentioned only karaoke parlors specifically.
Karaoke is extremely popular among Chinese, who sing in parlors ranging from glittering multistory complexes to roadside mom-and-pop operations. In the past, most played unlicensed versions of songs but that has been on the wane in recent years as Beijing has increasingly cracked down on the practice.
China is a leading source of pirated copies of music, movies and other goods. While entertainment enterprises boost consumer spending and provide jobs and tax revenue, "some are unlicensed and in some, illegal activities such as sex, gambling and drugs are taking place," the Ministry of Culture said in an apparent reference to the many massage parlors that double as brothels.
Protection of intellectual property rights was also lacking, it added. The ministry did not give details on how the campaign would be carried out, but said it would strengthen supervision of the industry and give "sunshine" certifications to businesses that followed regulations, provided good service and used only licensed products.
The campaign will be carried out by several government departments, including the Public Security Bureau and the Ministry of Health. It follows a call by the ruling Communist Party for citizens to help build a "harmonious society."
Many KTVs have a large common room where you can just sit at a table by yourself, rather than in a big private room. Some even have a floor show. The mommies will bring the girls for you to select a companion under the same terms as if you were in a KTV room. The minimum is usually much less than the rooms. On the other hand, many KTVs also have small room for only 2 people.
I'm amazed by all the great pictures some of you guys get. I don't know how you do it.
Last time I was in China any mention of pictures/video while hobbying and the girl would get really paranoid and look like she wanted to bail. Based on what I know of chinese culture, this is especially difficult in China.
I'm sure this has been asked before and I've been searching the forums for advice on this topic but I haven't been successful in finding anything.
Can anyone give advice on how to do this?
Do you get them to agree to it before, during, or after bargaining?
Or do you just pull out the camera in the middle of things and go to town?
This is amazing. Citing violation of intellectual property while closing down KTVs is a political masterstroke. Placates two camps of critics at the same time. They even throw in "drugs" for good measure. All market participants are well advised to collect phone numbers for discreet incall during the lean times ahead. (I had only limited exposure to KTVs, but at the ones I was, singing was not high up on the agenda.)
Yes - I've sat at the large main room many a times either by myself or even with some friends when I first go to a K-OK that I'm not familiar with.
I would sit down and get the actual low down on the place i.e. pricing of the gals, minimum, cover charge, facilities, discounts on rooms at the hotel where a lot of these K-OK's are (or next to), what other action is offered (some of these places/mommas/assistant managers/PR manager etc also operates Saunas, take outs, BBS or whatever), how safe the place and accomodation facilities are (usually the higher the number of stars assigned for the hotel, the safer they are against raids by the LE as well as by nefarious factions).
On top of that, I think I can get a sort of "feel" of the place by sitting at the main lounge as I can observe the gals, the management AND the customers to such a feel. I mean if the gals passing you by (when they get ushered by their mommas for showing or when they go off to the toilet or use their phone outside of their assigned rooms etc) are dogs, and if the other customers looks as if they've got other things on their mind other than partying or get too boisterous (Hmmm.... how do I feel that?) or the staff do not go clickety clag and instead just hang around - then I can feel that the place ain't where I would like to spend the rest of the evening at or pay a return visit to. If on the other hand the staff flits like butterflies, the gals exude beauty and charm from 30 feet away and the clients walking in and out are nicely inebriated and glows with a feel good aura - and yup that's the place I would stay longer/return to.
Worse come to worse, it also could be the cheapest way I could make my choice of a gal and zoom off to the land of nirvana without wasting time, money, drinking/dice/hand game prowess ..... and my melodious singing talent (No NO NO!! you're hurting my ears and music sensibilities. Stop it, stop it, stop singing!!!)
BEIJING (Reuters) - China shut down 44,000 Web sites and homepages and arrested 868 people last year in a campaign against Internet porn which will continue until the end of this year's Beijing Olympics, Xinhua news agency said on Wednesday.
China launched a crackdown on online pornography and "unhealthy" Web content after Chinese President Hu Jintao said the country's sprawling Internet posed a threat to social stability.
Rights groups have said the campaign has been used as a thinly veiled pretext to crack down on dissent and round up online dissidents ahead of the Olympics.
Xinhua said authorities had also investigated 524 criminal cases involving online porn and "penalized" another 1,911 people.
Some 440,000 "pornographic messages" had also been deleted, the agency said.
China has attempted to stifle online criticism of the ruling Communist Party and discussion related to sensitive topics such as Tibet and Taiwan by ordering Web sites to register with authorities.
Authorities registered 199,000 Web sites last year, Xinhua said, but refused 14,000 for failing to get official registration or to apply for official approval.
China employs tens of thousands of human Internet censors and a vast network of filters to control online information.
The anti-pornography campaign would continue until September, Xinhua said, "after the Beijing Olympic Games end".
China last month said it would crack down on video-sharing Web sites, and allow only state-controlled sites to post video content online in new restrictions effective from January 31.
Like I said many times before, mongering in China just before Chinese New Year's is BAD. Chinese New Year's is a 3-4 week celebration.
Reasons:
1. Most girls go home for the hoilday.
2. More LE.
3. It's colder during this time, girls wear more and cover up.
4. Hotels are more expensive.
5. Transporation is higher too. Buses and trains charge more during this period.
6. Some businesses like resturant are closed
7. It's year of the RAT. People born as a RAT are Richard Nixon, George W. Bush, Al Gore, George Washington, Jimmy Carter,
Humm, it looks like our current President is a RAT.
8. They'll all - and I mean ALL - be badgering you to give them Lucky Money red packets
9. If you're lucky enough to get a girl, she will either have the blues for not being able to spend CNY at home or else be trying to charge you more.
10. You'll either have broken ear drums or burns from all the fire crackers.
11. You'll feel like shit as you're not yourself at home!
I think I'll go home!
I do have a Chinese GF back here in the states. She is a Doctor , has money and always insist that I don't spend money on her. This thinking is rare for me with Mainland Chinese women and USA women that I have dated in the past. I don't always listen to her because I enjoy giving more when its not wanted or expected.
My question is.......... Do Chinese women expect a gift for the New Year? I hate Christmas because we are expected to give gifts. I prefer to give gifts 24/7/365 when I feel the desire , but is Chinese New Year different? What is the culture for giving. I hope you ABC's and others call help me. Thanks.
Fourgotten, you also did not pay for a membership on here. You know it's cheap, like $20 USD (10 EU) for a 1 year membership so you can receive private messages and view photos on here.
Sorry everyone if I sound like Jackson's *****, but there is common sense in asking questions vs contrubuting to the board. Getting a membership gives you a lot more information and helps keep this board supported for all of us.
OK, I wil SHARE with you the ways I have used to get nude photos.
1) I never negotiate this with the mommy. Mommies always lie. You'll get the girl back to your hotel and she'll claim that mommy never told her it was part of the deal. Now what do you do? Remember, some Mommies will tell you the girl is BBBJ and/or CIM, when in fact she isn't.
2) Most of the time I simply ask the girl if I can take some photos of her when we are alone. Some girls agree to it, some do not want it. If she does not, then I do not. Sometimes you can be smart(er) and start by taking photos of her with her clothes on... most girls like to THINK they are beautiful, you know. That is your foot in the door.....
3) Sometimes I have let her take nude photos of me (with my camera), or photos of only her hand on my dick. It's only her hand... no one will know it's HER hand (very 'safe' photos in her opinion; I am the one taking the 'risk'). This can make some girls feel more bold to pose for other and more naughty photos later. Some girls will allow nude photos, only if you keep their face out of the photos, and other do not mind their face is in the photo. I simply just start with simple photos and work on getting them horny and see if they want to pose for more naughty photos. This can be MUCH easier if you've taken them to a disco or bar and have gotten them drunk before taking them to your hotel. In fact some girls loved posting for the most naughty photos this way (PLY them with alcohol!).
4) Sometimes I negotiated LongTime (10pm - 8am) with a girl. At 3am, she is making excuses and wants to leave. This is a BAD situation, because for one thing you know service from 3am - 8am is going to be bad. For another thing, you know you can not sleep very with an unhappy girl (because as soon as you fall asleep you are worried she will leave and STEAL all of your pants or your laptop computer or such). So, now SHE is wanting to leave, you want to let her go, but you do not want to be a dumb guy and simply let her cheat you on your agreement.
I am not joking.... I have sometimes used this situation to tell the girl, "OK.... I will let you go IF you pose for 15 nude photos for me, and 1 more BBB... this will take just 30 minutes and you can leave and go home!". Interestingly, some of the girls agree to this!! She is happy to leave you 30 minutes later, and when she leaves you can then finally get a GOOD few hours of sleep alone without worrying of her leaving early or trying to steal things from you (and you have nude photos of her!!!).
5) I will admit I'm not always the sweetest man. At times I have taken photos of a handful of girls when they were sleeping in my bed. They did not know I was taking photos, but I did.
I think guys like LOSO are also very upfront/honest about taking photos. Most women value their beauty, so if you can make them feel beautiful, many of them will pose for photos of some sort.
I'm amazed by all the great pictures some of you guys get. I don't know how you do it.
Last time I was in China any mention of pictures/video while hobbying and the girl would get really paranoid and look like she wanted to bail. Based on what I know of chinese culture, this is especially difficult in China.
I'm sure this has been asked before and I've been searching the forums for advice on this topic but I haven't been successful in finding anything.
Can anyone give advice on how to do this?
Do you get them to agree to it before, during, or after bargaining?
Or do you just pull out the camera in the middle of things and go to town?
I recall reading LOSO had some problems AFTER taking girls back to his room. Some girls refused to take any type of pictures. He thought it was part of the package but it is not always the case. He then kicked the girl out and didn't pay her. He then quickly went back and try to get another girl from the same mome. Since he doesn't speak any Chinese, there were some problems later with the girls and momes . It was a big misunderstanding.
Star apologizes to six artists in 1,300 racy internet photos
Singer and actor Edison Chen Koon- hei, embroiled in an internet porn scandal, yesterday apologized to those who may have been affected by the posting of compromising nude photographs - and called on the public not to further circulate such pictures to allow the victims to heal their wounds.
For the first time in the scandal, which purportedly involves Hong Kong pop and movie stars, Chen also confirmed he was assisting the police with their inquiries into the case. Chen's apology, which was contained in a video released by his lawyer, came as police said they had uncovered more than 1,300 pictures involving six women, two of whom had yet to be identified.
In the video, Chen said he was "hurt, pained and perplexed" that a number of people's lives had been affected.
He urged internet users not to transfer the pictures anymore so as to help those affected heal their wounds. He said he had been cooperating with police since the saga erupted but that he could not comment further since there was now the possibility the case could end up in court.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vincent Wong Fook-chuen said the source of the pictures had been traced. But he would not confirm reports they had been taken from Chen's computer.
"The source of the case has been found. We believe very much that [it was] because of [someone taking his] computer for repairs and that others had, via illegal means, taken out the [obscene] information," he said.
He added whether the pictures were authentic or not is now the focus of police investigation.
The 23-year-old man arrested in Central last Saturday will be charged with the dishonest use of computers with criminal intent, which has a maximum penalty of five years' jail. The man will appear in Eastern Court today.
Wong said of the six women found in the photographs, two were not known to them - but he was certain that no overseas artistes were involved. None of the women were named.
People who had only transferred the obscene picture files to friends had not violated the law, but those who transferred them to the public - for example via internet web pages - were breaking the law, said Wong.
He said there were three clauses relating to the possession of obscene material that constitute a violation of the law, namely: publishing obscene material; possession for publishing; and inserting obscene material for publishing. He also maintained the police had not used excessive manpower as the whole case had been handled by 19 men from the Commercial Crime Bureau.
He said those unhappy with the eight-week detention of the first person detained in the case, 29-year-old Chung Yik-tin, can appeal through normal procedures.
Wong said it may not be necessary for all those affected in the case to appear in court in the future, though the police will contact the six women "if there is a chance to do so."
Wong urged anyone whose nude pictures had been posted on the internet to report to the police.
"In my 20-plus years as a policeman, I have not come across such an issue," Wong said in response to questions as to why police had not acted against other obscene photos circulating on the internet.
I believe I had already replied some time a go to similar question, but maybe it is worthwhile to repeat.
a. Freebie
Usually they always agree to take pics, after some time we know each other and I have gained their trust. So, I can take all kind of pics I want. Some don’t want face taken though.
To some extent, as Dar425 well said, it is also a way to please their ego.
b. P4P
When I bring a girl back to my place, I never talk in advance about pics.
Usually, I keep camera on the table, like a discrete but visible presence.
When they notice it, some of the girls ask me to take pics. They like to pose like models, dressed or naked it doesn’t matter. Sex shots ? Who cares, they are in the game already.
Otherwise, after some time I take camera and gently ask if I can take pics, maybe offering some extra money when I perceive this can be the key.
In many cases, I take short video clips with camera and, as flash doesn’t work, some girls don’t even understand I am taking a video.
You know, some girls really transform when camera appear. Level of alcohol in their blood is not important at all.
Last, but not least, to prove ego plays an important role, some of the girls want to see pics/video immediately on computer, Therefore, I have to stop sex (and in some cases lose erection :-< ) to show my work. In case they are dissatisfied, they want to repeat pose or act, like a in a real movie.
I remember very little refusals when I have asked a girl to take pics.
I'm amazed by all the great pictures some of you guys get. I don't know how you do it.
...
P.S. If he doesn’t pay for membership, how he can see pics in ISG ?
Fourgotten, you also did not pay for a membership on here. You know it's cheap, like $20 USD (10 EU) for a 1 year membership so you can receive private messages and view photos on here.
Not about mongering, so skip if you want to.
Went to a dentist in Zhuhai and had my teeth cleaned. Told him about the sensitivity or mild pain I feel when I drink cold drinks. He took an x-ray, told me I had periodontal disease and I needed some kind of surgery to fix it. I declined. He cleaned my teeth.
Next day I arrived in the Philippines and went to a dentist. She looked at the x-ray and examed my teeth. She said I did NOT have periodontal disease and that my teeth only needed cleaning. She said there is plaque under the gums around the teeth. She was shocked when I told her that I had my teeth cleaned by a chinese dentist only yesterday.
Two days later the sensitivity is already gone.
She also told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste and a good quality soft brush. She said, "do not use hotel brushes and abrasive hotel toothpaste.
Is there a secret handshake? What do you do to feel them out?
A couple of basic issues: first, when you go to dinner are there any female clients in the group? Do they go with you to KTV? If so, then do not expect anything funny to happen. If the female clients get seperated from the group after dinner, and you go to KTV, is it one where they have girls? If so, then your clients are probably just waiting to see your reaction. Maybe make a comment like "I hear / have read on the internet that sometimes these KTVs can get crazy!" If they play dumb then you may be out of luck. Something I have noticed is that different levels of executives do not like to "party" with higher/lower levels. This may require taking the boss out seperatly one night for KTV, and then the worker-bees out another night. Neither group will be able to turly relax around the other. Choose one of the group with which you feel the most confortable and ask him for his opinion. He might suggest taking the whole group, or just a sub-group.
I have also found that you need to be very familiar with a client before you take them to a sauna. Yes, business is done in saunas all the time, but this is a bigger step than taking them to dinner or KTV.
I hope this information helps!
It's usually me inviting people to KTVs, so far I've kept it clean, but I could find some with girls (I RTFF). It's more of a, I can't tell when I'm expected to invite them to get girls, kind of thing.
I'm going to have to pay more attention to reactions to subtle hints.
When you say people my man , do you mean men , women or both? If only men , I would say most Chinese men will go out and play the game with you. If women and men and you have your eye on one of the women , then give her the eye and smile. Work on her and fuck the money machine KTV. Chinese men and women talk with their eyes. This is sexy to them and very flattering.
Why bother with the rest and waste your money with KTV , because I am sure you will pick up the bill. Yes, you must build guanxi (relationships) with the Chinese men if you want to do business. Play both ends of the candle and try not to get burned. Do your business and get laid too.
Good luck , take care and be safe.
Over the past years its been difficult to buy a PC or notebook in China with a legitimate English language OS. One small snag, Vista Premium only.
Sammy,
You have made some very good points, especially about certain high level executives not wanting to monger with their subordinates. I have encountered this many times.
I often find myself in these precarious situations not knowing if a client is keen on mongering or not. It works both ways. The client may be hesitant to ask you about mongering opportunities, as well. I also try to drop subtle hints without being too direct and watch for signals from the client. This way I can back off if I get the feeling that the client is not game.
Just my POV.
I agree with all your points.
Personally, I prefer to refrain from trying to monger with business partners/customers, just to avoid embarassing situation of me misunderstanding their signals and proposing something they are not interested in, or simply just ashamed to do with me.
However, when they play open game and invite me, picture changes and it is up to me to decide.
In the past, in some cases, I had accepted.
Same here in Beijing. No problems.
Some pointers:
- ISG sometimes has access problems, no matter where you are. They appear to be routing problems to Johnson's server, which appears to be somewhere in Toronto, Canada.
- The fabled "Great Firewall of China" actually is many firewalls. Most blocking is going on on the ISP level. What is blocked at one ISP, may be accessible through the other. As the (summarily blocked) Wikipedia says: "The banning appears to be mostly uncoordinated and ad hoc, with some sites being blocked and similar sites being allowed or even blocked in one city and allowed in another."
- As Sammy said, the GPRS connection appears one of the more lenient. Also, when the undersea cables were out, GPRS was the only halfway reliable connection. There is a slightly fasther 1x CDMA available in some markets, but compared to 3G in other countries, it's a dog.
Generally speaking, if you want to avoid ISG to be blocked, avoid political discussions. Nobody cares about sex talk between laoweis. We (mostly) are guests in this country and should observe their rules.
I've had some ISG logging on problems here in BJ over the past few days. Over now, obviously. I think it's just random stuff, nothing coordinated. As Zhuren says, stick to the girls and avoid politics and all will be plain sailing. The authorities don't give a stuff what a bunch of laowais get up to online as long as its not subversive. And anyway, we're making our own little contribution to the local economy.
The crackdown against shady visa operations, and the stricter enforcement of the rules has been going on for a while. The loophole of longer-term F visa is closed for most. It's generally viewed as a pre-Olympics cleanup operation.
Do you think this will change in the next two months? The thing is I have some business in China that was going to last four months and a one-way ticket there, wondering whether I should reduce it to 30 days instead and buy a return ticket now.
It will most definitely NOT change within the next two months.
All you need to do is get a multiple entry visa. Go to HK for a day at the end of the 30 day period ... or, even better, to UB. Have some fun. Re-enter. Another 30day period.
"Business that lasts 4 months" sounds like WORK. If that's really the case, get real, get a Z Visa.
One way tiickets usually are a waste of money. Get a (much cheaper) return ticket, even if it means throwing away the other coupon.
Maybe, maybe not. Depends on who you are, where you come from, and what you are going to do: http://www.un.int/mongolia/usvisa.htm - for US citizens only ....
Wait, you are German, you definitely need a visa: http://www.botschaft-mongolei.de/PDFdaten/visa_antrag.pdf
2. Are there short-term multiple entry visas? I know of two-time entry visas, multiple being more than two.
Yes. There are F visas with (M)ultiple entries. You used to have to work your ways towards them: Get a two entry F. Travel. Get another one. Travel. Say Hi to your consular officer who's seen you twice before now and say, as much as you like him, it would make things much easier if he'd issue you a (M)ultiple entry visa. You may be able to convince him now to give you a (M)ultiple with 90 days stay ... maybe, maybe not.
The process can be done & repeated in HK .....
Going back through your posts, it sounds as if you have been in China many times. If it was all legit, you should have worked your way up to a coveted F/M visa. On the other hand, someone with such vast knowledge of (and some strong opinions about) this country should know the simple rules of a Chinese visa. And rule #1 is: Don't use a visa agency. DIY.
China is quiet simple in relation to sex, barber shops/saloon shope, RMB 150(some will say 200 when see foreigner by 150 is the going rate) in some areal wven down to RMB120 but RMB 150 is standard so not rel point in haggle. This will get you 1 shot, in the saloon in small cubical or delivered to your hotel, just carr your hotel card and write your room number on it. Languag friendly.
Sauna.
RMB 400 for 2-3 hours off ful attention, BJ in shower, full massage, full sex in various positions multimle times-as much as you can stand. Lots of new thinkgs can be tried, just say no if you don't like, ass licking, ice cues, ect. Ontop of this is the RMB 200 pending sauna establishment and their room type.
In 5star hotels the girls rate maybe from RMB 500 to RMB 800 with RMB 300+ for the room. Better quality girls
The there is 1 girl + assistant (3 girls) but only sex with one RMB 500 or RMB 600 with sex with both (prices changes pending single girl charge)
Then there is the RMB 50-100 extra for the taller girl (model) not reall model looks always.
Foot massage/body massage girls, you can get extras from them in the room or back in your hotel but not always helps if you know the ingo,
KTV, simply RMB 200 to sit with you in bar you can touch and get hard on nothing else- one shot RMB 500 overnight RMB 800 + the table/drink, usually there is min charge/table spend for the table or room.
KTV girls usually less experianced apart from the odd few- older ones aremoe fun.
Sauna on average girls have 6-12 cusomers per day, so to get the fresh girls, go 1st thing when they open or 1-2 pm, or get the slightly chubbier girls size 12 + as the locals go for the slimmer gire and the biggers girls are more egar to please, some will tyr to say extra for x2 sex no its all included in the price, if tey do this and your not happy, tell the mamasun the girl will get fined. Shes just after your wonga.
Sauna on average girls have 6-12 cusomers per day, so to get the fresh girls, go 1st thing when they open or 1-2 pm, or get the slightly chubbier girls size 12 + as the locals go for the slimmer gire and the biggers girls are more egar to please, some will tyr to say extra for x2 sex no its all included in the price, if tey do this and your not happy, tell the mamasun the girl will get fined. Shes just after your wonga.
Officexp - whilst your intentions are probably quite good - that of trying to simplify the pricing structure in China etc - I would like to point out that you are instead probably doing quite a bit of disservice to us punters - especially those 'newbies" (whether Newbie in the literal sense or a location newbie) - who are trying to find out what is the actual proper pricing. And I really hope that you do not think that I am flaming you etc. but I believe that someone does need to set the record straight.
Anyway....
China is a huge country and even within one particular locality - prices Vary and vary greatly! In just about every Chinese city, the prices for say a KTV would be anywhere from 1-3-7 to as high as 5-15-20, whilst saunas can vary from RMB138 FS (or even lower) at some grotty places to as high as 1,500 if you are not careful. BBS? Well, you can consider the catacombs at RMB30/shot to as high as RMB4 or even 500 at the more selexctive and upscale places in the major cities. And howzabout all 'em RMB3,000 mongolians that some punters in BJ pays?
In other words - pricing is all over the place and the only way to determine if you ARE getting the correct/fair pricing is to ALWAYS ask beforehand and even try to bargain it down a bit. And also, be VERY CAREFUL about going into rip off places i.e. thousand and tens of thousands for a few drinks, or one POP with a scam gal or worse, getting robbed whilst in the pursuit of nookie. and yes, scam, crime and whatever DOES also happen in China.
Stupid question:
When you post 1-3-7 and 5-15-20 I understand that this means 100 RMB, 200 RMB, and 700 RMB or 500 RMB, 1500 RMB, and 2000 RMB, but what are the service levels that go with each price?
1-3-7. = 100 to sit with you, 300 to go short time with you and 700 for overnight.
And BTW, us old guys in the past used to nicely refer to our choice of gals as being gold or wood fish. Gold fish - nice to look at, but cannot be eaten, wood fish (like the wooden fish that monks beat or "pok' upon when chanting) all for the "Pok"king or screwing. But no matter whether wood or gold fish, the 100 applies, whilst of course the 3-7 only applies to the wood fish. Just in case you guys are interested
Yes of course pricing does change from are to area and from establishment to establishment, I. E. If you go out ot he the country you will get better pricing, but I have just given a rough pricing for those who visit the areas where most foreigner would, not the countryside, there are a lot of newbies otu there and I don't want them being ripped off or paying over the odds to mess the pricing for others. Ofcourse if you get loew price its all the better and if you wana bargain its upto you.
Ohh so far when gone to sauna in hotel, or a sauna establishment, I have had the who range of girls come in, I. E. In batches of 6-7 about over 100 girls, if ther is ones I like I write htier numebr down then ask to call the best girls back, then pick, so far not had any trouble with doing that, dcos thye know I will be staying.
I agree with others that prices you mention do not show how China is simple in relation to sex.
In my opinion, China is simple in relation to sex because it is quite easy to find P4P sex, but as far as prices are concerned to me is a jungle as SE Asia Joe posted.
I think OfficeXP is fantasizing and has no idea.
As far a the jungle goes: In the big cities, the dealings are usually professional. Each location has its price level. Sure, there are scams and the tourist tax. But the competition keeps prices under control.
Funnily enough, my biggest problems have been the smaller towns (a relative thing in China, a "small town" can have several million...) where foreigners are rare, and which aren't covered by ISG. After a late arrival in a strange city, the "health club" of the Chinese hotel we are staying in usually is the only option. We've seen the good, the bad, and the horrible there. I always travel with my Chinese Adjudant, a feisty Beijinger lady who's seen it all. She does the negotiations for me. More often than not, the local talent sees a laowei, and quotes outrageous prices. Whereupon my adjudant says, in snotty Beijinger dialect: "To fetch these prices, my dear, you would have to work VERY hard in Beijing, do things you've NEVER imagined, and honestly, with your looks, you wouldn't survive."
When we come down South, we'll rely on you. She has problems understanding and speaking Cantonese. Due to the language barrier, her haughty "Ï'm from the Capital, and who the frick are you" attitude does not impress the local talent. Whereupon she raises her nose and utters: "Mingong!" From what I can recall (pls correct me if I'm wrong), you've got yourself a sexy/young/beautiful Japanese wife who's very understanding of your needs and even participate in all of your adventures.
Your adjutant takes care of all arrangements to get you and your wife the best quality of meat and services.
You travel in an entourage consiting of your wife, adjutant and a few other mongers and have a helluva time each and every place (with the exception of BJ these days of course!)
Now what am I missing from "Zhuren's Package?"
More importantly, how did you train your wife so good? The money needed, hiring such a competent adjutant, even having an entourage of likeminded mongers are within the realm of possiblity of I guess most of us -
but HOW DO YOU TRAIN YOUR WIFE SO GOOD?
True. The former patrons of the former Maggie's may be my witnesses.
True. She also speaks several languages. Can keep books. Can bring people to tears while negotiating. Can translate what "shoot the airplane" means in a a sauna setting.
She came pre-trained. She's Japanese. Actually, she trained me. I came out of the usual American horror stories, divorce, settlements, lawyers, uname it. She trained me to become assertive again. To treat her like a man should treat a woman. She now likes it that I open the door for her and help her in her coat. (A behavior that had her completeley baffled in the beginning.)
Perhaps I could start by getting it on with your adjutant? Is she acceptable?
She is. But you wouldn't like her. She's a bossy, haughty, know-it-all Chinese
Girls in sauna are tested quiet regularly for aids and this is compulsary by most sauna's hence they are unlikely to offer bareback, but they are much more experianced in making you happy than the KTV girls. Sauna girls tend to be more experianced.
If you want anal sex make sure you tell the mamasun before your left with the girl, because then she can not argue with you or she will be fined!
KTV girls are generally younger and just want in and out, they will offer bareback freely so be aware. KTV girls will have shore time bare back then go back to KTV for another huy, so upto you.
I have had a couple of older girls in KTV who were very well know how to please you, with no problem with what you do with them.
NO, fracken way, "bareback freely". A young pretty KTV girl will b i t c h and grone about not wearing protection. The chances a young pretty KTV girl meeting you the first time and going bareback is about 1 out of 1000 in my opinion.
The way it was written, it sounded like every single KTV girl likes to go bareback and it's NOT up to you to decide. Then getting anal is very common which is false.
I have been with a very few girls, but I still believe if they are "young and pretty" getting bareback from a girl from a KTV and meeting for the first time is very rare. I strongly believe the girl certainly doesn't want to get pregnant or STD. I am strickly talking about KTV girls. The pretty ones have tons of other guys to choose from. Worst yet, I don't want to catch anything like hepatitis, Herpes or some STD.
In my limited experience with KTV girls, most do not Bareback, and in my experience most Sauna girls require covering up.
In China, it is very hard to generalize about anal, but most do not do anal. Some are curious, and some realize they can potentially make bit more money, but not likely. Plus, in my experience only a few actually enjoy it. You have to convince her or pique her curiosity to let you do anal.
Overall, it is very hard to generalize, but I do absolutely agree that covering up is one of the best ways to avoid STD's and keep it from spreading.
IMHO, it is just plain stupid to go bareback unless you know the girl's detailed sexual and health history, which is pretty impossible to know accurately. You just don't know who she has been having sex with.
Most KTV girls don't. But considering the consequences of STDs you would think that this should be very close to 0 procent, but it's not. Maybe something like 10-20% will go bareback.
It's fucking tough to get anal in China. They all think it will hurt like hell (Tong, Tong, Tong!), and don't think they will get any enjoyment out of it. Especially the younger girls who have only recently started to have sex are scared shitless of anal. Older/chubbier girls are more likely to do it. Problem is, I am not into older/chubbier girls.
What would you want to check for? STDs, AIDS? Getting this from a DATY is low chance and a bacterial infection without symptoms is rare.
So safe your money and be happy
BTW for an AIDS test you have to wait 6 months before the info is relevant.
So unless you want to spend money for nothing. Better make a general check for heart, liver etc. But only if you know somebody in a local hospital or it will hget pretty expensive.
MD40,
I wouldn't self medicate with antibiotics unless you know exactly what you are doing. Even physicians don't self medicate, well smart ones at least.
Taking antibiotics has been discussed here before, but it is strictly for emergency use only. You can royally screw up your system if you don't do a complete course, otherwise you make the bad stuff antibiotic tolerant, meaning you will have to take a different and stronger antibiotic.
You are very likely healthy since you covered up except for DATY. I suggest getting checked at home if you feel the need to be cautious.
FYI, anyone getting an HIV test in China, and it comes back positive is subject to being immediately deported. I don't recommend getting an HIV test in China for this reason.
Totally agreed.
Likelihood of catching something with DATY is low (although I wouldn't do it with just any girl, simply for general hygienic reasons.) Likelihood of catching trichomoniasis, chlamydia etc via DATY low, via uncovered BJ high. Hard to diagnose, especially in Chna. Suggest test at home before having sex with the wife ....
I am a young ABC and looking to go on about a two week trip in China this summer. My mandarin skills are pretty good and I should be able to get around fine. I am relatively new to mongering but have been reading these threads pretty avidly. From what I've read of the threads so far, the premium value mongering locations in China are in the South so my plan so far is to fly into Shanghai and work south to the Hong Kong area and circle back to Shanghai. I would like to get to Chengdu or Xian for tourism-related issues but is this doable in the span of two weeks?
My budget for travel/lodging/mongering would be from $2000 to $3000 USD. Is this plan doable? I plan to backpack some and stay in some hostels but would also like to stay in some hotels to do some overnights =). From my understanding overnight prices should be around 500 or 600 RMB. Will it be easier for me to get freebies or will the fact that I am young deter girls looking for money?
Another concern I had is if the Olympics will cause a crackdown in other parts of China.My trip will likely be in late August / early September. Would appreciate your input or any suggestions.
I think 3000 USD is doable for 2 week of travel,Most of the budget is air fare and transport cost in China, but you cannot experience the ktv and the sauna for that kind of budget. BBS is the only options for mongering,You should do fine if you speak Chinese.
Shanghai, Bejing and Hong Kong is the most expensive and will be out of your budget during the 2008 games.
Chengdu is nice for mongering if you read the forum or know someone. Also I would from personal experience, recommend Kunming, again only if you know someone there. SZ, zhuhai and Dongguan are always good from past experience and the experiences of senior members here. I have only been to Dongguan two times, but each time was really a lot of fun, best place in China in my experience. Sz, been over 60 times, and especially Shekou are a ball! But more expensive. But I defer to senior members to let you know more. South is more fun than North China tho, from my experience. North is good for freebees tho.
I am a young ABC and looking to go on about a two week trip in China this summer. My mandarin skills are pretty good and I should be able to get around fine. I am relatively new to mongering but have been reading these threads pretty avidly. From what I've read of the threads so far, the premium value mongering locations in China are in the South so my plan so far is to fly into Shanghai and work south to the Hong Kong area and circle back to Shanghai. I would like to get to Chengdu or Xian for tourism-related issues but is this doable in the span of two weeks?
My budget for travel/lodging/mongering would be from $2000 to $3000 USD. Is this plan doable? I plan to backpack some and stay in some hostels but would also like to stay in some hotels to do some overnights =). From my understanding overnight prices should be around 500 or 600 RMB. Will it be easier for me to get freebies or will the fact that I am young deter girls looking for money?
Another concern I had is if the Olympics will cause a crackdown in other parts of China.My trip will likely be in late August / early September. Would appreciate your input or any suggestions.
Thanks for the reply guys. For budget purposes, I think I will stay in Southeast China and stick with train travel. Hopefully this will open up my budget some.
Sounds wonderful. Wish I were 30 years younger and could go too. I'd travel by train (I am not sure I would travel by long distance bus if I were a "young ABC"). And I'd stay at cheaper hotels (50 to 150 RMB). I'd also have another hobby (like finding out about a local legend, searching for interesting stones, looking for microscopic spores or seeds in the breaks of ancient walls). When younger I have been at times, a History Scholar, a Geologist and an Agronomist.
Good luck. And tell us about your good fortune.
Flying is cheap in China, most routes around 1000 to 1500 RMB and train tickets can be tricky, especially if you not enter the train from its starting point, you will see, I have my experiences even though a lot of guanxi helped me out always last second. 3000 USD my got you can monger your brain off with that sum in the South. Jealous, jealous.
Last year, starting from Beijing, I visited Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and one of the City in the central part of China. I took airplanes, buses whenever it was convenient without thinking much about the money issue. I stayed in 2 -3 star hotels price range from 200 - 300 RMB. I visited parks, museums. I ate whatever and wherever I want. In some cities, I met with friends and hang out in the bars and KTVs. The average dinner was about 200 -300 RMB if I had a company. The trip was lasted for 20 days and the damage was only about 12000 RMB (about 1800 USD in the current rate). Well, I did not do much of mongering (only a couple of times in Chongqing and Kunming, cost me 400 RMB each). If I did, say every night, it would be additional 400*20=8000 RMB (1200 USD). So it was still under your budget. If you are little bit conservative, not too much of parties, not visit those high end KTVs and saunas. You should be fine.
Ola Wong reports for the Far Eastern Economic Review on the rise of anti-Chinese nationalism in Mongolia (h/t Danwei.org):
In Mongolia, anti-Chinese sentiment has taken a nasty turn. The ultra-nationalist group Blue Mongolia, for example, shaves the heads of women caught sleeping with Chinese men. “It is for their own good,” says Gansuren Damdinsuren, a Blue Mongolia board member. “A small nation can only survive by keeping its blood pure.”
Mr. Gansuren claims Blue Mongolia has more than 2,000 members, not a small number in a nation of just 2.8 million. Even more alarming, Mr. Gansuren says his group is not adverse to violence. In an interview last summer, he told me his organization is training a fighting force for close combat, and that the group has access to weapons.
We may need to send ISG troops up north to make sure the Mongolian Sisters don't get tempted to sleep with Chinese men... :eek:
They are not talking about sex. As long as you use a condom, it shouldn't be a problem.
On several occasions I've overheard our sisters making very derrogative remarks about PRC Chinese men. They really don't seem to like them. If even the girls in Beijing talk so bad about them, who is sleeping with them?
I would say, try for freebies and fill in the dry spells with working girls. This is your best option budget-wise. You have to be willing to invest time chatting them up on MSN. You have time to warm them up between now and next summer. On MSN don't bring up sex too quickly or will scare off some. At one point they will ask you the kind of good you like. you answer with whatever qualities plus say you hope to meet a good kisser. This will open the door for warmer discussion.
Check out the classified ads online and there are the usual web sites like CFF, plentyoffish, chinesekisses, etc. Put a profile there and if you put a picture you will get more responses than you can handle. All it will cost you is dinner (which you can get for 100RMB if you eat chinese) and the girl can be a nice companion to help you visit if the chemistry is good.
i am in the middle of a 3-week trip in China visiting several cities and have 10 girls lined up. i could have made this a longer trip. most are above average in looks when I compare to the girls in the phto section here. And sometimes you can get some interesting experiences like this 39 year old i met in Xi'An last week. She had no sex in 7 years. She was sooooo tight, it was like a virgin. amazing.
Good luck.
This has always been the downside of our hobby. Some of you take anti-biotic before leaving town, some of you just don't wanna check your pipe when you return home and some of you do check your pipe after the trip.
But there are some of you who don't give a fuck about yourself or others and don't mind passing on your disease to others. Like some who I know like to BB the gals without telling the gals, forcing them to BB or telling the gals the last minute you didn't have a condom.
I know one monger who stayed at the Miraton and step on a rusty nail and immediately ran to the local doctor for shot. But this same monger didn't mind BB the gals. Another I know has Hepatitis and pay extra to BB the gals.
One of these days, the big monster will catch up with some of us if we are not careful.
There are many sick people (in more ways than one) out there among our hobby members.
I am not lecturing that we should stop this hobby. I am just as weak any anyone for pussy, especially BB sex. But I am saying that those that know that they have STD, cover yourself for everybody's sake. And for your own sake, cover yourself regardless if you have STD or not. It's the gals you have to worry about too, especially those that will let you BB them.
Bill
Hello Gentlemen,
I heard about blowjob bars in Thailand, places where you can get sucked off in the bar, sitting at the bar (with a cutout for the girl to service you) or in a slightly more private area while enjoying a beer.
There may even be places where you eat and the waitress sucks you off?
I am curious if anyone has heard of this sort of thing available in China?
Thanks
Enterovirus 71 (Ev71) Outbreak In Central China
American citizens are advised of an ongoing outbreak in China of an intestinal virus called enterovirus 71, or EV71. This virus causes a variant of hand, foot, and mouth disease. There are no specific precautions for this other than the general hygiene recommendations for living in China.
Over 3300 cases and at least 22 deaths have been reported in Fuyang City in Anhui Province. All of the deaths were children less than 6 years old and most were under 2 years of age. A few additional cases have been confirmed in Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province. Hubei Province and Hong Kong have also reported a few cases.
The symptoms of EV 71 are similar but more severe than the common hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). Typically, it starts with a generalized illness, poor appetite, and sore throat, followed by a fever, rashes on the hands, feet, and buttocks along with mouth ulcers. HFMD is often confused with foot-and-mouth disease of cattle, sheep, and swine. Although the names are similar, the two diseases are not related at all and are caused by different viruses.
Infection is spread from person to person by direct contact with nose and throat discharges, saliva, fluid from blisters, or the stool of infected persons. A person is most contagious during the first week of the illness. HFMD is not transmitted to or from pets or other animals.
VERY GOOD idea, for the following reasons:
1. Ensure financial viability of ISG. As it is, I'd think that we all are just imposing on Jackson's generosity for hosting the site. This is especially true for those who are NON paying members but perhaps also for those of us who are paying members as it is just so little money.
2. Will get rid of all these guys who uses multiple handles for whatever reasons - but I would think/suggest for mainly nefarious purposes.
3. Give a sense of value to membership which in turn will make everyone more thoughtful before posting anything/starting flaming wars or other transgressions against ISG rules - and probable loss of a PAID membership!
4. Will get rid of all these "one or few posts wonders" posting disruptive, inane, proselytizing or just plain offensive posts.
Whilst on this topic - I had paid my membership dues "some time back" but am not exactly sure when. I am thinking that it's at least a year ago - but up to now, have not had any invoice, reminder etc on matter. Jackson - methinks that perhaps you are forgetting this most important of task.
Agree in principal, however, how do we ensure other people find us, read first, post info and than decide to become members? We do not want to stay a closed circle, do we? The whole idea is a big enough community? The PM system and the photos are already a great incentive and I quickly decided to contribute also financially! On competing websites I never got really interested due to their restrictions.
My thinking is, it prevents every Tom, Dick and Harry from stumbling onto this site and extracting information to use against ISG, like this idiot who wrote the article. He never mentioned how easy it is to get sex in China, even major hotels (CP) offer full sex. He just makes us out to be dirty, old, bad guys.
On a side note: Lets say the Chinese government lets ISG slide all these years and suddenly they start getting public black eyes from people like this reporter, so they decide to ban ISG all together in China and start tracing various IP addresses. I assume this is easy enough for them.
The last thing Bro Eaglestar, or any of us want, is the police kicking in our doors.
I think ISG is well known enough, it's not going to hurt Jackson to start charging memberships to read, view or post.
In China, when it says KTV, does that mean they all have girls in them, or not. And which places have the best KTV girls, known as PRs.
I have been told by Chinese friends that if they say KTV the odds are they will NOT have girls. I have personally not found this to be the case. The best thing to do is when you enter simply ask if girls are available before you go to the room. If you are too shy to ask then simply look around - if you see large herds of girls moving from one room to another then they are available.
Every KTV is different regarding the type of girl you will get and the service she will provide. A KTV experience in Beijing can be very different from one in Shanghai or Xian. In some places the girl will only sit and sing with you, while others will do much more. One key I have learned is that the girls generally take a cue from you as to how they will act - if you are coy and shy, they will be too. If you are forward sometimes the little thing next to you will completly shock you with how forward she will be! If you are able to become a "regular" at one of these places then it will certainly help you get more milage.
Some of the low budget KTVs do not provide girls, you bring your own. Some sell beer and snacks in a small shop on the premises. You can rent a room for as low as 150rmb and 10rmb for each beer. Of course, you need to have a fluent chinese speaker to ask about prices and to be sure there are no additional hidden fees.
This is a good way for students and english teachers to enjoy a KTV "experience" without spending heaps of gold. Get some friends and girlfriends together and rent a budget KTV room for the evening.
The high budget KTVs with girls are usually in or next to hotels.
Actually only costs you 150 or 200 RMB to rent such a room, plus drinks (prices similar to restaurant prices, e.g. 10 RMB for a bottle of beer, much cheaper than in the heishou joints). In case you manage to find some girl from AFF etc., take her out there and you can have a fun time.
She seems to follow the Korean, but i'm not sure. thanksThey are called as 'Chaoxianzu.' They are another minority race like 'Zangzu', 'Huizu', or something else.
Right. Usually, they can speak both Korean and Chinese. However, they are rather under Chinese culture than Korean culture (maybe 70% Chinese, 30% Korean). Also, they realize themselves as Chinese.
Interesting. I'm in the U.S. right now. I can see the natural born Koreans look down upon their China born sisters. I haven't delved deeply in my friends upbringing,but when she talks on her phone she speaks Korean. I have heard her speak Chinese.
She is a lovely looking Korean gal, but I know she's not born there. I would like to pursue her as an love interest, but I've heard disparaging remarks from Korean born women. They seem to have something to say about everyone who is not exactly like them ;)Many Korean Chinese come into Korea looking for higher salary(like some Hispanics in US). And, as you see, illegal immigration causes a lot of conflicts between immigrants and natives. For example, unemployment, cultural differences, crime, hatred, and etc.. Those are what happening in Korea these days.
In China, minority races usually live in very poor life conditions, as you can see in the Tibet problem. There are also a lot of discrimination against them. Many Chinese believes Hui Zhu commit a lot of murder and girls from Yunnan (Li Zhu, Bai Zhu, Zhang Zhu, and etc) are prostitutes. This kind of inequality leads them to be more aggressive.
Previous to WWII, Japan had colonized what is now Korean and a large part of northern China. During this colonial time, Koreans moved back and forth between the Korean Peninsula and what was previously called Manchuria. After the Japanese were defeated in WWII, they were forced to give up all the colonized lands. The ethnic Koreans living in Manchuria at that time weren't repatriated to the Korean Peninsula. In northern China, there's estimated to be over 2 million ethnic Korean living in and around Heilongjiang, most of them in Yanbian. Furthermore, there's estimated to be about 500,000 ethnic Koreans living in Uzbekistan, descendants of Koreans who were trapped in the former Soviet Union.
There used to be a lot of culture shock for the chaoxianzhu when they first met South Koreans after South Koreans normalized relations with China in 1992. Until then, the only Koreans most chaoxianzhu met were refugees from North Korea. Because of propaganda coming from North Korea and stuff, most chaoxianzhu believed that South Koreans were dirt poor and on the verge of starvation, which is what the North Koreans were/are told via their media outlets. Now, most of them watch South Korean television, and know the real deal.
Starting in the mid 90's, large groups of South Korean men came to North China looking for wives. Due to selective birthing practices, since made illegal, the male to female ration in South Korea among the young were skewed. A lot of Korean men, especially those in the country, had trouble finding wives. These guys basically came to Yanbian and married all their chaoxianzhu women.
Korean women tend to look down on chaoxianzhu women in the same manner that city folk sometimes look down on country folk. Basically, they consider them uneducated and uncultured, which is basically true, but also part of their charm. Korean women lately have a reputation for being very materialistic, and a lot of guys look to find Yanbian girls just to get away from that.
I'm planning on spending about a month in June-July in Thailand and the Philippines (my 5th trip in a year and a half). I'm also considering a side-trip to China. While I love these forums, the China section seems to be spread a bit too thin to get a good overview of the scene there and which cities to head to. So I'd like to find a post with a good overview of the scenes in the various cities, or I'd like to solicit your opinions, given that I'm looking for the following:
1. I'm looking for something different from the LBFM experience I'm getting 24/7 in AC(both in looks and service). Back in school, I always had the hots for the untouchable Chinese or Korean honor student and hope to defile some similar beauties in China. I want to experience something uniquely Chinese (Red Rope, Fire & Ice, Massages with readily available AR, etc.) 2. I plan to spend 3-4 days there. Possibly sightseeing as well so I have some legit photos to bring home to the family. Such a short trip limits me to 1 city but it also means I can splurge and spend decent money for top-notch service while I'm there.
3. I am coming from AC. So the most convenient cities to get to are HK and Macau. But from what I gather, the red rope / fire & ice masters and the prettiest girls are mainly in Shanghai. Is this true?
4. I speak no Chinese. I realize this is a barrier but I kinda like being adventurous. I did pretty well in the early 1990's in Eastern Europe with no common languages either.
I will appreciate any pointers you guys can give me. I hope somebody can point me in a direction that gets me just as addicted to China as I am to the Philippines.
IMHO and of course based only on my personal preference:
China IS large and the scene in different cities ARe going to be different. On top of that, I would think that most guys would probably recommend to you their own back yard (so to call.) Although I've mongered in quite a few places in SE Asia, my most recent forays has been limited to Southern China and Phuket.
Whilst the LBFM's in PI and LOS are probably easier to get to - in terms of their english abilities and their familiarity serving foreginers etc - I would suggest that you consider allocating a bit more time in China. To be able to truly appreciate the charms of the chinese gals, I would think you'd need to be able to partake of a number of them, from different sources (KTV, BBS, Saunas, Freebies etc). Plus on top of that, you HAVE gone to PI/LOS Five times previously!
The Chinese gals are definitely NOT the classic LBFM's, which is precisely their charm. but I always feel that the PI/LOS gals are just too - how do I say it - *****y! And even the problems you are going to have with not speaking the lingo will require that you spend more time in China to really know what the scene here is.
As far as destination - of course Southern China - my back yard. Base yourself in Shenzhen and its environ, with side trips to Chang Ping (25 minutes by train - Best BBS's and plentiful KTV's). Leave Shenzhen by Ferry from Shekou to Zhuhai which has the best and cheapest saunas as well as the (in)famous Linhua Lu. Cross over to Macau and experience the total bacchalanian atmosphere before you get on the plane to go to ??
My own thoughts as it is what I know. Others will tell you shanghai - but to me Shanghai is a bit more expensive - both normal tourist costs as well as mongering - plus you ARE basicaly stuck in that town with nearby locations out of the question for the tourist. Beijing - forgedaboutit - at least until after the Olympics.
Excellent. Thank you very much!!! That's how a typical newbie question should be answered and not the RTTF bullshit.
Thanks again. I am making my plans too for south China next September.
Your post is very helpfull.
Would you considered a stop to Dongguan on the way to Senzhen also?
First time in China and not a word of Mandarin.
If you need some info on Brasil, Argentina or even Colombia I am your man.
Thanks again.
Dongguan as referred to here mostly refers to Chang Ping, which is an easy 25 minutes fast train ride away.
Other parts of Dongguan (which is huge) can be reached by taxi/pirate taxis. i.e. Chang An Dongguan City (Dong cheng) houjie, Dalang, Zhangmotou, Humen, tangxia etc etc - but perhaps not worth it for you to explore that far away as you have limited time. Remember - Taxis can run you RMB 100, 150 one way and take you up to an hour each way. For RMB150 and at my age, for less time I can have a Hui Mei Alley or night market gal!!
BTW - Dongguan is the area just north of the Shenzhen area.
While reading through the various forums as part of my research for my upcoming trip to China, two websites were mentioned for getting cheap airfares in China. Unfortunately, I did not write them down and now can not find them again, even after doing a search. If someone knows of these websites, I would appreciate your posting them or PM me. Thanks
Probably the Ctrip and Elong sites. Just do a google search and they come up.
Ctrip and Elong are probably the two you're talking about. I find pricing is very similar between the two. I've used both and have had good experiences, although for my last few reservations I've used Elong. Their customer service is really good. I was able to change/cancel flights without hassle by calling them up or emailing.
The latest news I hear is the foreigners on the past weeks busses going into Shenzhen, Shanghai & probably other cities have had police/army guys checking passports & visa.
A friend on an overnight bus Guilin to Shenzhen said, at the Shenzhen SEZ expressway gate, where the passport checks have been going on,
He said the coppers checked All the foreigners bags, even going to the below part of the bus & checking the big bags, not sure if looking for drugs or Tbet friendly things as Guilin is a gateway for tourists interested in traveling those western parts.
He said the cops gave one white guy a hard time about his having a Chinese bank account, said they rode him pretty hard asking why he was in China.
I know flying has become much stricter about items allowed, carried on & even checked luggage.
Dogs seen at many airports & train stations.
Heard No liquids allowed on trains now.
A bar in Shenzhen, Shekou had a group of uniforms come in & check ID’s, while there, they looked in ashtrays & cigarette packs, `prolly for joints?
So I’m asking;
Has anyone heard direct info or been subject to the passport check or other checks in their travels or daily lives anywhere In China lately?
Where? What did they ask to see?
Is a good copy of passport front page – current visa – entry stamp enough? `or do we need actual passport?
What are they searching bags for?
Been in a bar that got checked?
I took the fast train from Shilong to Shenzhen at noon today & everything appeared as months before walking from the fast train exit to the Shangri La to get a taxi, no extra law/army presence noticeable there.
In Shanghai foreigners are being sought out and thier local registration papers are being checked. In China, If a foreigner is staying anywhere other than a hotel or accepted expats compound, then he MUST register at the local police station within 24 hours on pain of a substantial fine. Also departures from China and returns must (Officially) be registered in the same way. Four years ago in Nanjing this was rigidly enforced, I regularly had three police officers at my door, to re-issue my registration, and take a quick shufty to see who was in the place. In Shanghai this has not been enforced for the past three years, I'm told that they want to tighten up due to the Olympics.
In the past few weeks there have been several police incursions into Massage parlours in the Weifang Lu area of Pudong. In two cases a customer was carted off with a masseuse for "interview", and later released, in another case the manageress got into an altercation with an officer, tearing off his shoulder insignia. Expensive! This evening I saw what appeared to be a raid in Nanquan Lu, mid way between Pudian Lu and Weifang Lu, East side, just inside the housing area gate, A squad car and four bobbies on mopeds were visiting a small massage parlour there.
As an american bringing gifts to China, I find myself in the dilema of everything here is <Made in China . LOL it would be too ironic to bring a gift to China that was made in China and exported to the US only to be brought back.
The gifts are for a girlfriend and her parents. I discussed this with her, but am interested to see what ya'all think.
The best idea's I came up wtih was to bring some California Wine (A nice but not expensive Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvingnon) and cigarettes for dad and See's Candies for mom and girlfriend. Do these seem like proper gifts to bring and things that would be well received?
Small correction : Anybody who stays anywhere else than a hotel (inn, guest house) must register within 24hrs. Check-in at hotel etc. is considered registration. Known "expats compouinds" usuall carry big signs pointing this out in various languages....
Technically, you must have your ID and temporary registration on you at all times. Failure to do so can be grounds for arrest.
Cheap meat! Yeah, well I've yet to book my flights, but it looks like China is my next sexstination. LOL. Just got back indulging myself in Indonesia. But I'm getting sick of these southeast asian 'browny' women. So I'm looking for some really pale skinned Chinese girls. The paler the better. Whats the best location for mongering in China? Shenzhen or Shanghai? Or somewhere else? I'm looking for some cheap pussy. Maybe some brothel type places but I'm mainly looking for some freelancers or club type girls.
Thanks
FYI.
I clicked on this "China General Info" thread that suppossedly had a report by cheap Meat - but there was NO report by him. In fact, when I tried "more posts" of Cheap Meat - there was NO match - and I thought - how strange!!
Anyway, was just absent mindedly clicking on the photo gallery and came on tothe "Complaints about other members" thread - and came on the following things about Cheap Meat. And since he'd posted on the China threads - he's probably/maybe/possibly on the way over here???? Anyways, you guys may want to be aware of this guy.
There's also a picture of him so you'll recognize him (fact is - that's how I got to that "complaints thread - as I was just looking thru the photo gallery and saw a pciture of a GUY - which of course intrigued me - and PLEASE!!! No homo jibes please!)
Jackson, these 2 posts were taken from the Thai board. I am posting them here, in the hopes you read this thread more often that other threads, and do something about this guy.
I am also posting these 2 reports here, in the hope people who do not read the Thai board, actually get to read this, and shudder at the thought there are such disgusting pieces of cheap meat around.
Jackson, I know there have been many comments about this guy, I have reported the post to Admin, as I am sure many others have too.
This guy needs to be booted.
In order to get 'free' sex in Pattaya, you must find girls who are both naive and far away from your residence. Ideally, the girl would be inexperienced and shy. You do not want ladies who are aggresive in asking for money or ladies' drinks. They are more likely to come after you seeking payment.
Next, after you have fiI get free sex all the time here in Pattaya. You know how I do it? I simply avoid nished with your Long Time, you need to get her out of your room without paying her. If you stay in a room (such as a short time room) or have put your luggage somewhere else, you can just sneak out and dissappear.
Once she is out of your room and you haven't paid her, she is in your hands. Suggest that you and her go to Jomtien Beach for a bit of relaxation. You and her are sitting under one of those beach umbrellas. What a perfect time for you to go to the toilet! You make an excuse to go to the toilet while she stays there. Except, instead of going to the toilet, you head to your motorbike parked just past her sight down the road. Now you make your getaway and race back to your hotel room, check out, and check into a new hotel room! She has no idea where you are at now. Nor can she demand payment. Congradulations! You've just scored a 'freebie'!
Now there are many variations to this theme. For example, you could also suggest to her that she go to the hair salon or back to her room to change her clothes. You, being the trustworthy teelak, tell her that you'll come back and pick her up later. Only you never do!
If you have a motorbike, this makes everything all that easier. This is especially true when performing the 'driveoff' trick. Suppose your teelak wakes you up at the break of dawn and wants to go home. No problem, you say. You simply tell her that you'll take her back to her place. At no charge. She will no doubt agree to this proposal. You take her back to her room and drop her off. Just as she hops off your motorbike, you quickly say goodbye and drive off before she can ask for money. This take a little bit of skill, but with practice makes perfect!
Using these methods I have been able to get free sex here in Pattaya. I simply don't pay the girls anymore. It certainly helps stretch your budget during those long stays in Pattaya.
I drove her way out to sukhumvit and forced her off my motorbike (never paid her). I'm not making that up. I've done it before (pushed a girl into the ditch way outside Pattaya). And I don't care about the consequences because there haven't been any. I abuse the girls and I like it. Loll.
Yea, be sure to register if not staying at a hotel licensed to house foreigners, sure worth the hour it’ll take to avoid a trip to an interrogation room & possible fine, or worse.
When on the road, which is 20 days a month,
I usually have my hotel card on me & I prefer to carry a good copy of passport in case of loss with the real in my room safe.
I’m I correct to assume that along with being polite, these will be enough if I get stopped & asked?
Has Anyone been or know someone that has been through a document check the past week?
An online teacher friend living in Dalian tells of this a couple days ago;
“Last night some of our teachers and students were at McDonalds and a policeman demanded to see all of their passports. Since no one was carrying their passport, the policeman held one student hostage until everyone went home and returned with their passports. The policeman told them "If you are too scared to carry your passport, then go back to America."
I’m not sure if any even had copies on them as in the past, most living here don’t.
I read how No liquids or powders are allowed in plane carry on baggage now, None!
I talked with guys that go through the Shenzhen SEZ gate everyday in private cars, they say no new hassles… but the bus search from Guilin last week is sure.
I bussed from Shekou to Zhongshan today without incident.
They do random checks now and then, hence the SEZ checkpoint. I have never been asked to produce any documentation going through them, but I have friends who have.
I have been on a couple of busses from Dongguan to SZ, which were stopped, but the police just checked the "farmer" looking Chinese on the bus, never even bothered me.
I have also been reading on other forums, how many Chinese are upset about protests in other countries about the Olympics in China and Tibet. This could also be their reason to hassle foreigners. Here is one such post:
Happened to me too two weeks ago. I was in the Amazon BBQ restaurant in Shekou, and this fight started out between an Australian and some Chinese people. Me and my friends didn't know why, we shrugged and kept eating. The Australian guy jumped over the fence and ran away and the Chinese guys came over to our table! Then we realized they were picking specifically on white people inside, table after table...
Their "leader" wanted us to drink for China and against France and England. (He kept shouting "French! English! Fuck!") over and over again. We were very, very accommodating, to the point of humiliation perhaps, and these guys didn't find any reason to beat us up, although they really tried for about half an hour.
They they moved to the next table - there was a Russian family there - and we got out.
My 2 fen,
