I haven't found FS since after the Olympic. The FS before was only in 1 shop on a small dark side street near the KTV. Only 1 girl worked there, 19-20 years, damn good body, slim, firm bum and young well shaped tits. This shop was different from the normal BBS.

Couldn't help to notice your expensive experience at the KTV, so if you still have interest in KTVs then i might suggest you to check out my report #5248. I know its not perfect, but it should do the trick. Anyway more than 2000 for a KTV night is way too expensive unless its a place like Tian Shang Ren Jian IMHO.

Yangfang Hutong has maybe 3-4 BBS (1 girl at each place) offering ST FS for about 150-200 kuai. Lets be clear its not Prada Models at work, but if you are in the neighborhood looking for some quick fun then you could try it out. There are two ways of going there:

spent xmas week in Beijing. It's not fair to judge Maggies during this time, but the Mongolian talent was limited. Most noticeable to me was the absence of any young new Mongolian blood. The addition now of a few mediocre older Chinese working girls was an unusual but unattractive option for anyone working in southern china where the price and quality are so much better. Chose one of the few 'A list' mongolians, Naraa, with an amazing body. She had the temerity to ask for 3000, but settled on 1500 l/t on a slow Sunday night after I walked. Friday and Saturday she does two a night. Performance was adequate. Speaks passable mandarin.

I Went there at 2 pm. It was quit with a few costumes. The place is at low key place. Although it has a huge sign on the front wall, but the door is small. You walk in the small door and find you are in a small space facing an elevator door. There are two guys out side of the door and will call the elevator for you. Then, I was led to the looker room. After take off the cloth. I was lead to the shower and sauna area like any other sauna. I enjoyed the hot water pool, then the sauna for about two hours while talking to my friends over the phone for some business. I was dried by the boys, then free dinner was offered that come with the entrance fee. Unlike other sauna offer buffet, here you were offered the food on the Manuel. It was cooked individually and excellent.

After dinner, I was offer a VIP room for resting. The young lady with black suit will guide you to the room. Once inside the room, I was offered the massage from a Manuel. I choose the highest on the manual 598 for 60 Minutes and additional 30 minutes for 398 as package; this is the only one with full service including FS. The VIP room has a full bathroom with shower and bathtubs I was first offer a lineup of 3. I asked more.

Then a line up of 4 came in. I choose #35 from Suzhou.

After the mamsan left, the girl helps me take off the cloth and we both went to take a shower. She washed me first then herself thoroughly. Walked around today to do a bit of scouting based on an earlier report on the whole bbs scene in Beijing. I have to say that there was a lot less BBS's than what I was led to believe. Maybe I went to the wrong street but I went to the one immediately south of Chaoyang bei jei and there were only two.

I also walked around hepingli station this New Years weekend and the usually BBS lights on tsingniangou west were dimmed/off. Had to go to a sauna place all the way west. Shower and sauna it self were definitely below average, no toothbrush and some of the showers do not work. FS was good and average priced. Girl pretty much ripped off my shower pants after 5 min of 'massage'. Place has been open a long time.

Interesting thing was I passed by a catacombs style place just looking around for cheap local food near hujialou and was propositioned after the failed local bbs hunt, might have to go back one day carrying less cash and more condoms.

Was not interested in baojian so I just walked around and ate too much food at a local restaurant. Very bloated now, will def go back to the area again later.

I told her that, IMHO, her only saving grace was her limited English language ability. I was in Hollywood and was looking for someone I met a year ago (800 ST).
I chatted with an Uzbek girl who quoted 1000 and will not go down, even after cold midnight. I am back at my PC so wanted to add to this posting, but for some reason I cannot edit my old posting - so my apologies for adding a duplicated posting.

I must admit having some pleasant memories of the new lot of real Uzbeks (not the European's) when they came in. It was not my intention to partake, but all my regular friends were out of town so I fell into temptation.

The first thing to note is their BJ skills have a lot to be desired, unlike the standard Europeans Uzbeks. I am not really sure why this is so, I suppose the Europeans watch unsavoury movies and assume that is the the standard way of doing a BJ. Not that I am complaining, but this “movie” based trained approach can lead to some amusing events.

The best ones I can think of is the noise some girls make when you are rodgering them. If they have watched movies they assume that part of an orgasms includes screaming, grunting or shouting various phrases such as “I want it in the arse” - normally in Chinese or a local dialect. The real life Uzbeks, being good Moslem girls, would of never had the chance of watching any of these movies and are as quiet as possible, as well as assuming a BJ means lightly blowing lightly over the end of your “John Thomas”. To see if you are having any effect on these “modest” girls, while you are pounding away, you need to look at their hands. If the hands are clutching the bed sheet like their life depended on it, you are having an effect.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Make sure you only allow them to give you a quick 10sec BJ, otherwise your old fellow may get wind burn and you could fall asleep. Then roll them over on their back, or on your knees and start hammering away.

The next bit of amusement begins then. I am an old follow and thus will have to be totally honest and admit to using chialis, supplied by the friendly local super market. First, when reading/posting reviews on ISG, remember that this board is read by guys who ranging from 20 years old to 60 years old. While a 22 year old young buck would not look twice at a 32 year old Chinese girl, a 60 year old experienced gentlemen might find her to be his cup of tea. Sure, there are some girls that I cannot imagine get any business, but most of them are attractive given their age.

The Pig has had girls almost continuously for the past 15 years. I say almost, because they are subject to the same crack downs that occur in Beijing. If there are no girls in the Pig, then the chances of you finding one someplace else are very slim. Sure, there are still girls around, but they are sitting at home hoping someone will call them.

The Chinese girls show up at the Pig first, with some arriving as early as 6 pm. The Mongolian girls still come in around 10 pm, and stick around until after midnight before heading to Maggie's. Sometimes you will get the odd Russian girl in The Pig, but that is rare.

Right now there are currently 5 younger Chinese girls (20 to 25 years old) who are working out of the Pig nightly. You can add to that the 10 girls that are 30+ who have worked out of the Pig for years. The Pig also attracts many "freelance" Chinese girls that have full time jobs or are actual students just looking to make a little extra money. The number can vary, and there are more of them around right before a major holiday. They are simply trying to make a little extra money to purchase gifts or travel home.

The younger girls are very cute, and speak various degrees of English. They are much more attractive than their older sisters, but are also less experienced. They will be a little more expensive (800 - 1000 RMB ST, 1000 - 1200 RMB for LT), and might rush things a little to get back to the bar if it is full of customers. The older girls speak much better English, are typically more intellgent, and understand what western men want. They will start off high, but can be negotiated down to a reasonable amount (600 - 800 RMB ST, 800 - 1000 RMB for LT). In addition to the typical horizontal services, the older girls are also up for a true "escort" experience, if that is what you are seeking - they can meet you in the morning and take you on a tour of the city, go out to dinner with you, ect. The freelance girls will cost on the high side (1000+ RMB). If you pick one up on a weeknight they will most likely not stay for LT as they will have work/class in the morning.

These girls all know each other, and communicate on a daily basis. There does appear to be a pecking order – certain girls will approach you first, and then once they are dismissed another may approach. Typically the less attractive girls are the most aggressive, jumping you right as you walk in the door. I would suggest that when brushing of one of the less attractive girls you be a little careful, otherwise the remaining girls might get the impression you do not want any companionship, or that you are a "cheep Charlie". While 80% of the Pig's customers know what's up, they do still get the stray guy who is staying at the hotel who just wants a drink.

The girls of course all know what’s what, so if you are there for the Mongolians just tell them you are meeting a Mongolian friend later and she will leave you alone. If you see another girl in the bar that you like better, tell the one sitting next to you that she is very nice, but you would like to meet her friend across the room. 9 times out of 10 she will go over and get her for you, and proabably get some kickback from the girl if you close the deal.

Have fun out there, and treat the girls right. Guang Xi works just as well in the bar as it does in the boardroom!

OAHI bow to OAH's experience, but my post below is aimed at the business traveler passing through Beijing. Someone who lives in the playground that is South China will certainly not find much in the Pig to their liking.

Sammy, sorry I missed you this past week. I've been patronizing the pig for 8 years now, at least several weeks a year. I like the place, but I'm sure you've observed the decline in quality that has occurred year by year. I can only surmise why. There are countless young college girls in Beijing who would love to pick up an extra 1K and practice their English.
I suspect management is selective who works there. I know they were paying a substantial (it was 200) bar fine when observed leaving with 'keren' in 2006 when I worked in Beijing. And maybe the in-house gang screens new talent.

I have never known the bar staff to take money from the girls, but I do know that in the past they did screen who could come in, and who could not. Now the staff lets in just about any girl as long as she does not cause trouble. I think the overall level of service of the bar staff has gone way downhill in recent years – it seems they are just going through the motions. I still stop by because it is near where I live, and for the odd chance of coming across a new freelancer, but I wound not be opposed to finding a different local watering hole.

Well, Sammy, I was there too that night around 9 pm. I walked in, politely declined some of the older girls. Had my tonic water, chatted with a 29 yr old from Liaoning with a big rack and walked out with her. She asked for RMB 1200 and we settled for RMB 600 ST, without any discussion. Told me she didn't have a customer for 10 days or so.

I am in HK on the weekend & won't be up to Beijing until mid year. A buddy of mine who is in BJ now (freezing his ass off) told me the PIG was 10/1 WG's/bros last night around 10pm. That's have to be good odds. Mainly Chinese he said but not sure he can tell the difference. He's staying at the Holiday Inn. Says he recommends. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn in Hong Kong and can definately recommend. Great bar at that hotel also. I've become something of a regular. In Beijing the market for a not well connected, not Chinese speaking foreigner is limited. This well known places charge high, or too high. We all know the real price for FS in China is 100 RMB, at 99% of places (excluding the Catacombs). Just we will either never get there or not served.

What I can tell you is that every time I have been to a place where I know extras are available, they have always been offered to me - I have never had to ask. I guess they know that any non-Chinese frequenting such a place is likely to be interested in extra service. It's simple economics, like McDonalds always asking if you want to "Go large". Went to the only sauna I went to more than once today. Had a quick misunderstanding, apparently the girls that do foot massages will only go up to HJ, but the girls that do massages go all the way up to 'special full massage'

BELIEVE you're talking about Chang Ping - which does have a Swan Lake area.

Chang Ping is written about extensively in the Dongguan thread - which by the way is where Chang Ping is situated at. In Dongguan, Guangdong province. Check out that thread.

First I would recommend is to secure a map. Why would you go all the way to Beijing if you want to go to CP? And by train, for crying out loud? You'd have to go via Vietnam, via train & bus and spend more than a week and god knows how much money to go to Beijing, just to spend the better part of two more days and god knows how much more money to train it from Beijing back down to Guangzhou or Hong Kong, which are close to CP. Why? Ever heard of an implement called an aeroplane? BKK - Hong Kong. For further information, please consult the Dongguan section. You are 2000 km off.

Do most massage parlours, health spas in beijing provide extra service? Or only some (no name ones). How do you tell which ones have or not? Establishment changed management or at least price list, at the end of 2009 I think they called it Korean (?). Some of those girls you the see at the saunas are pay for plays as well, but they're usually already taken by a customer. No problem: if you look at the Northern 2nd Ring Road, there are the subway stations JiSHuiTan and GuLouDajie. In the middle between them: DeShengMen (the gate, not a subway station). From DeShengMen to the South goes Deshengmen Nei DaJie. On the Crossing of this street with the second ring road, there is another smaller street that goes off to the South-East. That is GuLou Xi DaJie (maybe referred to in your map as GuLou West Street, or Drum Tower West Street? These english maps are useless.). Into this street, after some metres on the right (South) side of the street is the massage shop.

And I think, despite the fact, that I'm not drinking, not smoking, not singing, I like to go to KTV's again.

Short time lurker and first time poster. I just stumbled across this site (where have you been all my life?.) as I was researching options for my upcoming China vacation. You guys have done an incredible job here! I will be reading posts for days researching options. With all this information, I had to subscribe!

I will be in China the last half of May visiting Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Yangshuo and Shanghai. Hoping to find some female friends in Beijing and Yangshuo.

Already decided I have to visit Maggie's. If nothing else, just for the experience.

So I have now down all 6 BBS along Dong Da Qiao Lu. Quite a mix of rubbish and very good but alas no FS.

Starting from Guang Hua Lu and moving north:

1. Just about on the corner of Guang Hua Lu and DDQ Lu. Avoid this place! The girls are OK but they try to up sell constantly. Got a bizarre CBJ. She tried to use a plastic bag rather than a condom, WTF! Left rather promptly after that. Cost me RMB300 to get out of the place.

2. About 300m further north. This place is quite pleasant. 2 nice looking young girls available plus a couple of older ones. HJ only (RMB 100 to RMB 200) but nicely done. The more innocent looking girl has a nice rack but is reluctant to get it out. The other girl gets everything out and allows feeling with very little prompting.

Haven't seen a raid myself but these places do get shut down from time to time. Don't see a problem if you are just having a massage.

Always pays to take care and try and choose places that have been around for a while. Places tend to get raided for not having a business licence or not paying the right people. More established places tend to have sorted out these issues.

I had noticed a similar thing actually. The BBS I mentioned on Dong Da Qiao Lu have not been affected yet but other locations certainly have. Hadn't initially connected it to CHY but that does make sense.

It is with a great deal of melancholy that I have to announce Hollywood is no more. Where Hollywood stood there is nothing but a large hole. The less than glamorous Ritian Hotel is also no more. One thing about Beijing is, change happens fast and with no warning. I was last at Hollywood in early December and after a trip back to the mother country found to my dismay that the abode of lusty young Uzbek's, Mongolians and pseudo-Koreans is no more.

Hollywood now joins a long list of monger locations which are no more. Even since Henry J Beam was replaced with a HSBC bank I had a feeling change was coming and it was not all good. While good old Henry J Beam was anything but a great place to eat drink and be merry, it was a good convenient place to pick up Chinese take away if you were staying in GuoMao. I think from memory henry went the way of the dodo over Christmas as well;, a common closing time in Beijing.

Next was the closure of Passion Bar, while I have to admit it was a highly over-priced establishment, it was always good for my guests from outside china. Clean and full of rather attractive English speaking service providers who were ready for anything, although at a very high price. I think from memory it was about the RM2000 zone back in 2005. In this case this establishment closed because of some indiscretion of the owner, who spent almost 2 years in the custody of the law. I must also point out this place is open again, but after 2 years closed and 1-2 years as a disco, it has lost its former charm.

I also remember when Maggies 2 closed down, in this case to be renovated. I always liked the old maggies 2, the cheap furniture and the very friendly bar girls. Again it was never the same after renovation and now has gone forever. While not a great monger location, it was a good place to drop by for a few drinks.

It was with shock I greeted the closure of maggies. I was their the weekend before it closed and next time I dropped over it was closed. My Russian friend told me about it, but I found it hard to believe until I saw it myself. While I have to admit always liking the old maggies at the workers stadium, the management did a good job creating the new maggies with its own unique charms. The only bright spot is this fine establishment is open again and I hope they will stop renovating it one day. Although I never liked the last attempt, so I hope the new renovation will bring it back to something similar to the original Ritian park maggies.

We now come to Hollywood, along with Maggies, henry J Beam, Passion and the Pig, this was one of the first places I discovered back in 99. I must admit back then Hollywood was not on the monger trail, that was the reserve of the pig, den, maggies and henry.j.beam, but it slowly became a side road in this mighty trail by 2004. I think the reason why it was never as popular as maggies was it was so unfriendly and gritty, but once the upstairs KTV closed it made more of an effort to encourage non-Chinese clients by not growling at them as they entered, so it became part of my permanent entertainment landscape. But its no more, all that remains from the old 20th century Beijing is the pig and the twice moved and thrice renovated maggies. (You could add the Den in a pinch)

What disturbs me is as these old places are closing, there are no new places to replace them. Several have tried, Diamond Age, that blue bar close to the Kerry centre and that strange attempt to duplicate maggies close to the poly centre, but all these places quickly died. Normally lasting less than a year.

I will seek out the poor lost ladies of Hollywood to see where they may have washed up, but I suspect as business becomes harder for them they was slowly whiter away and leave. No new Russians have come to Beijing since the bad-times in mid-2008, and only a few long timers remain. The Uzbek's came back, but with Hollywood gone they have no home, so I expect they will soon disappear. I fear I have have to ask my ex-Royal marine cousin to accompany me to Vladivostok (Its a really dangerous place, you need to go there with lots of backup) to seek Russian companionship, but the problem with mongering in Russian is you need to speak Russian. A least in Beijing the girls all learned some English, which allowed me, with my limited Russian, to have a meaningful conversation(sic) with them.

But, on the upside, the locals can never go away and there are many local delicacies to experience, time to brush up on my pudongwa.

Outside the hoardings which now encircle what was Hollywood / Ritan Hotel etc is a sign in Chinese kinda pointing the way - let me try to explain.

If you are coming out of old Hollywood you would turn right - walk 100mtrs and take first road to right - go straight ahead 500mtrs and take first road on left - 200mtrs up ahead on right side is Absent.

I talked to the manager - he speaks virtually no English - I speak no Chinese - but I think I got some info correct.

Same deal as before - 50RMB entry - but no island bar like old Hollywood. Bar is long straight bar to your left as you enter then turn corner to right into the 'w.hore hunt enclave'.

Lots of tables surrounding one central stage.

The big difference here is they had entertainers on stage for a fair part of the time I was there. They had a guy swallowing lighted cigarettes - wow was that fun - then a gorgeous sexy belly dancer and her ugly sidekick - then a troup of young female gymnasts. I kid you not - 2 of these girls were no older than 5 or 6 - can you believe that - 5 or 6yo entertainers in Beijings most famous Chinese Guy / Russian W.hore dispensay - UFB.

Quality and quantity of girls REALLY below previous Hollywood offerings. Remember it's only been open a month but it took my taxi driver 30 mins to find it - I think many many Chinese guys WILL NOT find it and therefore the girls will stay away if the punters do not come.

There were a few Russians, 3 or 4 Kazaks, 3 or 4 Uzbeks, 6 to 8 Chinese and I only saw 3 Mongolian girls over 2 nights there.

I talked to some Mongol girls who worked the old Hollywood and they said they must pay RMB50 / night up front to work there - thats RMB1,500 / month and they are not going to pay whilst no customers there.

Chicken and egg - guys stay away cause no girls / girls stay away cause no guys. I might be wrong - I hope I am - but I just cannot see this working. Go check it out guys - the more traffic that goes there the more chance it has of surviving. They had no new business cards ready so I will re-post an old card from Absent - print this out and show to taxi driver - it will get you there.

Was in Maggies 3 nights in succession - Jan 24, 25 and 26. Only the back half was open as the front half - where the large island bar is - was closed - AGAIN - for more renovation - when the fuck will they stop fucking around with Maggies fit-out?

With the limited space it was REALLY crowded. Quality was quite ok - most of the top tier girls are now fast becoming veterans - very few - IF ANY - new stunners.

Seems the girls have new pricing policy - ST RMB1,000 and LT 2,000 - was told that by 5 or 6 different girls.

Had one tall blonde haired Mongol quote me RMB3,000 LT - a quick don't be fucking stupid from Billy did not see that conversation proceed any further.

Had 2 Mongols from here - both repeats - I really don't like repeating if avoidable - one for RMB1,000 for 2 hours and the other all nighter at RMB1,500 - yes less than what I described above - but I have had her twice before and her comments were along the lines - '1500 for Monday ok'.

So Absent is gone also. I was only their 6 weeks ago and had no idea it was also fated to go. This does explain why the manager from Hollywood had been hanging around Absent for the last 4 months - he may have been checking out the location for his business.

Club LAN is a restaurant/bar/club/cigar bar at the top of the LG towers, in Chinese it's something like the Twin Towers. The interior was designed by Phillipe Starck, and has a lot of cool stuff to look at, paintings hung at wired angles from the ceiling, etc. They have a sushi bar, and the cuisine is modern Sichuan and pretty good. As the first part of the description says, the LAN Club is unsuccessfully trying to be a little of everything, but I love the place, because it looks so cool. It's a good place to impress a date and occupies the whole floor of one of the towers. They also have many huge private rooms, each with unique and funky decor. Oh, and the hostesses are all 6' tall model types. I want to marry all of them.

Seems to be renewed interest in BBS on the forum.

There are at least 4 BBS south of Gongi Beilu, just east of the Second Ring Road, just behind the Asia Hotel （亚洲大酒店）. From the southeast exit of Dongsishitiao subway (line 2), walk east about 200m, then turn right (south) so that you pass that Asia Hotel on your right. I think that street is called Jishikou East Road （吉市口东路） , but it may be called Xin Zhong West Street （新中西街）.

Head south for about 50m and make a soft right at the next intersectio, into a side alley. There is a row of 3 BBS in this alley, abutting the south side of the hotel, which runs between the two streets named above. The alley at first appears to be a dead end, but in fact leads into an apartment block. Inside the apartment block there are actually several more BBS, but it's less clear to me if they offers special services, though I think they probably do.

I've been several times to these BBS, and my experience has been different each time in terms of quality of girls and service, but I've seen good-looking girls there on occasion. At least there are several places in a row, so you're likely to be able to find something/one you like in one of them. You can see through the windows what is on offer.

Last week I paid 150 for HJ (I know, too high, but I didn't feel like arguing over 50 rmb) from a 6/10 Henan girl with a nice face and fake breasts. Was offered FS for something like 300, prob could have bargained down. Chinese language skills useful, but prob not essential.

I still suspect though that this place may have a bigger selection at other times, since it's a bigger place. Most of the BBS described above have only 2-3 girls on duty.

Noticed a number of recent reports commenting on BBS closures and unusual working hours. I have a good insight into the operation of one BBS near the East Third Ring, and I am told it is due to a combination of factors:-

1. Customer levels have been very low since before Christmas. The girls attribute this to the ongoing cold weather and the heavy snow earlier in January.

2. Partly as a result of point 1, half the girls who work in this BBS have already headed back home for Spring Festival.

3. As a result of 2, the BSS often does not have critical mass to stay open. I used cabbies too last November when I was on vacation to find RLDs, as I had to show a relative around China I lacked the time to find places myself. When done with the sightseeing dropped my relative off at the hotel, got on a cab and asked straightforward for some area with "a lot of BBS please, no ktv, no clubs, please just RLD, thank you very much."

I just stopped by guangdongdian road, the one behind chaoyang bei road. I only had 2 hours in beijing city proper. Then 630pm I took subway from main railway station to hujialou station, switching 3 lines but the total distance is not really far. About half an hour elbowing people I made it to hujialou. Walk up escalator in the cold night, straight to chaoyang bei road where I went to no available last time, I got happy to see it is reopening, and. More openings! I agree with the other bros. Never follow touts, never listen to these students telling "hello I want to practise my English", never go to Tea House.
If an intermediary wants to sell you some girls. Ask him to bring the girl and show you. If you like her you can take her (I sometimes had good experiences this way). Don't pay more than 500 ST. This street intersects with an east-west street which, typically for Beijing, has two names: westwards it's called Liufang Jie, eastwards it's called Zuojiazhuang Zhongjie. The sauna is on the northwest corner of that intersection, but. Just to be really confusing. The sauna's formal address is Liufang Beili 12 hao (sorry, I still haven't sorted out a problem I'm having with posting Chinese characters).

Clear as mud? It's not the easiest place to describe: the area's a bit nondescript, with no particular landmarks to point to, but that's something that appeals to me. It's not an area where you see many laowai, so you're less likely to be seen by people you know when entering/exiting establishments of ill-repute.

Like last year, the CNY hiatus is half as bad at the barberhop level again.

I went for some last minute shopping near the Qingnian Goulu RLD on Saturday afternoon before New Years Eve and a lot of the shops where still staffed. I'd say around half of them. My friend Wen near the Dongdan station even had her shop open till late night, watching the New Years Eve galas on tv with her coworkers. If I had not had other plans, I might as well have taken her out and celebrate the changing of the years with her. Maybe next year.

Yesterday then I took a bike ride in the afternoon again, this time to the Hujialou, Xinzhong (behind the Asia Hotel) and Jinlong Hotel RLDs and all of them had shops open again.

Now there is no doubt that a lot of shops are closed and many girls do take a few days off. But none the less, there are still a lot of girls staying here.

i will be stopping in beijing for 14 hours and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for somewhere near the airport with ample time to get back to my flight. i will be back in china a month later, but would hate to burn this opportunity for a preview.

thankswell the subway from the airport leads you directly to donzhimen and sanyuanqiao. two places with some concentration of bbs and sauna's. i would recommend finding more detailed maps on the forums and learning what the chinese symbol for sauna is (浴. if the ticket price is lower than 30 rmb and you have to provide your own soap and slippers you're probably in a legit shower place. you probably won't have this happen though if you stick to the main streets. all of the saunas in china i've been to have 'extras' that range from hj to fs (i've been to quite a few these few months haha). the subway maps will tell you what stop you're at. to get to the main intersections you would probably have to walk through the local subway stations and look for the correct exit (nw sw etc.)

cost for the subway is 25 rmb, 2 rmb for the local one if you don't want walk topside where it is very easy to lose a sense of direction. all of this is of course one way.

i am not sure how frequent the air port subway runs, but it's not affected by traffic is quite a relaxing and speedy way to get in and out of the air port to the city.

Hi All, firstly a special thanks to Sammy, BBB, and all the other posters who have helped me enjoy the fruits of the trade. I have travelled extensively through many Asian countries over the past 15 years and have found this website a saviour. So now that I have finally have taken out an annual subscription I want to give something back.

I was in Beijing in December and went to many of the haunts that I had always gone to.

The Pig seemed to be back to usual with a lot of regulars and some newer talent. Good place to kick off a long night and get some numbers or if you spot one you really like for a short time to kick the night off. I had some drinks, took numbers and moved on as I had every intention of ending up with a Northern Sister or two.

Maggies was as usual full of wonderful Mongolian girls who had no trouble taking my money and earning it. I did end up with two girls who managed to exhaust me over the next two days and nights. They are still my favourite p4p girls by far.

Sixth floor is ok but be careful of ripoffs. Third floor has a newer shop with a hot 19 year old owner that should cater your needs. There are two shops side by side, the original one is normally legit, although in these hard times exceptions apply. The two hot girls sometimes at the front desk in the old one, one sweet young, one older are family and not on the menue, at least not for special needs.

you can buy 375ml crown lager – australia’s premium beer – for rmb25 = a$4.00 – i cannot buy that beer in any bar or hotel in australia for under a$6.00 – and in most places it is a$7.00 to a$8.00 – go figure. as for the pizza – consider nothing other than the spicy chicken calypso pizza – it will put some lead in your pencil for later in the evening.

as jesse said after dinner we headed to the new hollywood or old absenta – card attached below – whichever you like to call it – to check out the russian w.hores. there were about 20 girls in total in attendance – russians, uzbeks, ukrainian, chinese (1) and 2 mongolians.

I will be arriving on March 4 and it would be great to do some serious mongering with fellow appreciators of the Beijing scene. As I said I would be honored to shout you guys some drinks as a way of saying thanks.

By the way, I did manage to also get to the Xue Bar last trip and found it to be way too crowded and hard to get intimate with the girls. Yes the bar has WGs but I would be careful because they are not all WGs in the bar. Generally though an experienced punter will be able to tell. Depends on the night you go, with Saturday being a big night and very crowded. I have also been during the weeknight and it was somewhat quiet.

Not sure about how friendly the hotel is to strangers in the night. However, most hotels in Beijing seem to be OK with it, expecially ones that have a busy bar within the hotel.

probably the best know bar for our hobby in beijing. it is located at the south gate entrance to ritan park. most late night taxi drivers should know "maggie’s". it is a big venue, but for the last 18 months either the front half or back half has been undergoing renovation. it will be nice when they finally finish all of the renovation and open up the entire bar. there have even been rumors that they plan to offer live music. there is no cover charge, but they sometimes give non-anglos a hard time at the door saying membership is required. you may have better luck on a weeknight, and then once you establish yourself as a regular i don't think they will stop you. at maggie's you will find chinese, russian, and mongolian girls. almost all of the chinese girls in maggie's work for the bar - their job is to sell you drinks, and get you to buy them drinks. they will also sometime ask you for a tip at the end of the evening. while it is possible to hook up with a girl who works for maggie's, i have found it is rare. maggie's stays open until everyone goes home (usually 4 or 5 am). there have been times when i have walked in, found a girl, and left quickly, and other times i have not left until the sun came up. the main attraction of maggie's is the mongolian girls, and they will all end up at maggie's around 1 am if they are not already taken.

General Introduction

Beijing continues to undergo changes, but it still has a large variety of girls available, both domestic girls from all over China, to international working girls from Russia and Mongolia. It is a good town for mongering, albeit at a higher price that other cities in China. Prostitution is illegal in China, but it is generally tolerated. A few times a year the government will try to clean up the town (detailed below). If a bar does get raided (which is rare) the cops will come in and ask to see everyone’s passports. I have never heard of a foreigner being detained, but I guess it could happen. The Olympics brought the international press to Beijing in force, pushing the government to crack down on vice activities. Right now a similar crackdown is taking place in Shanghai as they prepare for the World Expo this year. Beijing will probably also be affected by the World Expo, but hopefully not as much as Shanghai. In the post below I have gathered together information from several previous posts, updating it as necessary. The observations below primarily apply to Beijing, but I think they can generally be applied to any city in China. There are hotels, bars, KTVs, and Saunas everywhere, it is just a matter of finding them. I will only comment on the pay-to-play (P2P) business in this post as I feel the “freebie” scene actually costs you more in the long run both financially and emotionally. I encourage other senior members to comment/revise my observations below – I certainly do not claim to know everything about the scene in Beijing, but want to throw out some general information. I have decided to go ahead and name some specific venues as law enforcement is certainly already aware they exist. Many more venues also exist, and can be shared via private message. I hope you find it helpful, and I welcome any corrections/additions.
Code Phrase

If you are in one of the common mongering venues mentioned in this document you can use the following “code phrase” to try and identify other members who read this board. Simply say to the guy sitting next to you at the bar “Sure are a lot of girls in here.” If the place is currently empty then it can be said in a sarcastic tone. Perspective

Mongers in China can be divided into 2 general categories – the visitor, and the resident. While this is a very obvious observation, it should be considered when you read the posts on this board. My perspective of a “good deal” might be very different from yours, and we are most likely both right.
Residents typically have a bit more flexibility, but often do not want to bring girls back to their own apartment. With more flexibility they often are more price conscious – if I don’t take someone tonight, there is always tomorrow night. Residents also have the ability to develop a deeper relationship with the “regular” girls who work at his local pub. He can become protective of the girls, and the girls will sometimes become protective of him.
Visitors are normally in China for a short time, working during the day time, and free at night. They stay in hotels where they can normally take girls, unless they are traveling with their spouse or co-workers. Visitors will typically spend more money that a resident – after all, when is the next time they will be in Beijing?
Some Tips for Beginners

Pay your membership. Not only does this help support the site, but it will allow you to send and receive Private Messages (PM). Someone who has paid is less likely (at least in my mind) to be Chinese Law Enforcement.
If you are/will be in China, sign up for a paid VPN account. You can find one that charges only $10 USD / month, and trust me it is worth the money. While there are free proxy sites, as well as free software like Hotspot Shield, these are typically blocked in China.

Post an introduction to yourself. I have know some of the guys on this board for a long time, and we can be a tight knit group. You would never walk into a dinner party and just start asking questions, without first introducing yourself to the group, would you? Include in this initial post anyplace you might have mongered in the past, especially if it is your very first post. Remember – we are all volunteers, and this board is only valuable if everyone contributes. Generally speaking most Senior members will not answer private messages from people who have zero posts to their name, especially if the message just consists of “I’ll be in Beijing next week, what do you recommend?”. I almost always click on a new posters name and read some of their previous posts before I reply. This also holds true when I receive a PM from someone. What I see largely influences my decision to answer/reply. If you ask a question on the board that is answered in this document, or discussed in the last few pages of the forum, you will simply be answered with a “read the forum” reply.
Get a local SIM card/mobile phone. The card can be had for 100 RMB, and this gives you 80 RMB of pre-paid credit. You can purchase a cheap mobile phone for 600 RMB, or if you phone is unlocked you can simply plug the card into your existing phone. It is always easier to communicate with the girls via SMS than by voice.

Condoms, Medicine, and Enhancement products

Condoms can be found just about everywhere – Western style grocery stores like Jenny Lou’s, and BHG Market Place carry many different varieties. Watson’s is a chain store that offers general personal care items, basic first aid supplies, and condoms, but no prescription medicine. “Sex Shops” can also be found around town. They will carry condoms, lube, and other items, as well as some traditional Chinese medicine for male enhancement. Chinese Pharmacies have a green cross outside the door so you can recognize them. They will carry condoms, western prescription medicine, as well as Chinese traditional medicine. Most pharmacies will have a dictionary where you can look up the medicine you want and show it to them in Chinese. If you are looking for Viagra/Cialis/Levitra, look around for the condoms and you will find it. Typical cost for these items is around 100 RMB per pill. Just like all things in China you have to be careful you don’t get a fake, but I believe that most of the true pharmacies offer the real deal. Not so sure about the sex shops. There will typically be some Chinese medicine alternative on offer as well. There is a pharmacy on Wanfujing (the large shopping street just west of Tiananmen Square, running north-south) that carries just about everything (male enhancement, antibiotics, ect). I have never been asked for a prescription as long as you go in and know want you want. If you are not sure they actually have a doctor available via video conference, but I am not sure you would want to request help for your genital warts this way.

Scams

Beijing is one of the safest cities in the world. Crime is low, and considering the population the odds of getting in a physical altercation are almost zero. Regardless, if you are stupid you can fall victim to any number of petty crimes or scams. Common scams include a pretty girl coming up to you on the street, flirting with you, and then suggesting you go to some local restaurant or tea house. She orders the tea, but when the bill comes it is much higher than you would ever expect. A similar scam is for “art students” to invite you back to their gallery to view their air. They will then hit you up to buy their art at very inflated prices. Mostly harmless, but it is still something to be avoided. More dangerous scams do exist, but typically involve someone convincing you to follow him/her to a nearby bar/ktv to see beautiful girls. Once you get to the room a couple of things can happen. You might have a nice KTV experience, but at the end presented with an outrageous bill. When you refuse to pay some large men will come in and threaten you until you agree to pay, or turn over all the money in your wallet. In another twist the girl will get very friendly with you, and while you are in the throes of passion some large bouncer looking guys will bust in and claim that you have broken the law and if you do not pay them off they will call the cops. The best way to avoid such scams is to NEVER go with someone claiming they will take you to the best bar/ktv or a lot of “beautiful girls”. If they have girls, ask them to bring the girl to you.
Crackdowns/Holidays

Major holidays in China are always a time for crack down in Beijing, so you can expect these times to be slower than others. There are 3 major times of the year when the Chinese Vice Squads go into over drive:
Spring Festival / Chinese New Year (week long holiday based on the lunar calendar)
When the people’s congress is in town (2 week event every other year)
October Holiday (always the 1st of October, and the holiday is a week long)
All of the crack downs begin at least a month before the specific event, and last through the event and maybe up to a week after. For those keeping score this means that for at least 3 months out of the year Beijing is not the ideal destination for our hobby. This does not mean it is not possible to partake, but you must just take extra care and work a little harder. Many girls will go home, limiting supply. This will increase the price. Venues that normally offer extra services will limit what they offer. It is best to simply avoid these holidays for your first visit. Come during some other time of the year, and get some phone numbers then. When you return during a holiday the girls will be happy to hear from you because they are most likely stuck in their apartments, not working. Don’t tell me “My company sets my travel schedule, and this is the time when they want me to go”. These dates are holidays in China, there is no business getting done anyway – pointing this out to your boss might show him that you are “china savvy”.
The Girls

Every week there are new girls coming to Beijing. At the same time, I have known many girls that have worked in Beijing for 5+ years. It is often difficult to discuss specific girls because many of them go by the same name, but once you become a regular you will start to realize which girls are regulars too. China will grant the Mongolians a 90 "tourist" visa, so most of the girls have apartments and spend 3 months in Beijing, then go home for a week or 2 to get a new visa. Since they have apartments it is possible to go back to their place if you do not want to bring them back to your hotel, but you should confirm this first because they all have several roommates. Often when you go back with a girl to her apartment (Chinese or Mongolian) they will offer for their roommate to "join in". This of course will cost you more money. While tempting, in my experience the 3-some in China is typically you have sex with one girl, then the other, rather than the orgy the movies make it out to be. Keep in mind that when dealing with girls in the bar they all talk to each other. If you screw one over the rest of them will quickly find out and either avoid you, or ask for a premium, upfront payment before going with you.
Chinese girls can be found everywhere; you are in China, after all! If a girl speaks good English then she is probably working for herself, i.e. free-lance. Girls in Saunas, BBS, and Streetwalkers may be girls from the countryside who have been brought to the city under the assumption they would be working a straight job, only to be thrust into this business. Most are simply trying to earn money in the “Big City” to send back home to their family. Some get caught up in the life style, and are just looking to make a quick buck. Just like any job, there are many different girls enter this business for many different reasons. Chinese girls will typically ask to be paid up-front. I recommend you at most offer to pay half up front, and half after the fact. Otherwise the girl has no motivation to provide good service. I find older Chinese girls (30+) to be more mechanical, approaching their job with a professional attitude. The younger girls can be quite fun, and I must admit are often tighter than their Russian or Mongolian sisters. You can find Chinese girls on the street that are working for "mamasans", but most of the girls I encounter in the bars are all independent providers.
Mongolian girls are also found in most mongering locations in Beijing. They are all free lance, but some were deceived into entering the business with the promise of a good job in Beijing. Most Mongolian girls do not expect to be paid until after the act, so if one asks to be paid up front I would be a little suspicious. In my experience the Mongolian girls provide a more passionate, girlfriend experience (GFE), but experiences vary.
Russian girls can primarily be found in the Russian District of Beijing (Yabalu/Ritan). They are typically in Beijing on some type of “indentured servitude” arrangement – someone paid for their travel from Russia to Beijing, and they have to work off this cost. They are very firm on price because they must give back a certain amount back to their “handler”. Many of the Russian girls in Beijing will not go with Westerners – they prefer to take Chinese men who will pay them more, and finish faster. While residents might be interested in the Russian girls, if you are a visitor to China then why go after something you can get find “back home”?

Current exchange rate is 6.8 CNY (RMB) to $1 USD. For ease of conversion think of 100 RMB as $15 USD. To get an updated exchange rate you can type ”convert 1 cny to usd (http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS244&q=convert+1+cny+to+usd&aq=f&aqi=&oq=)” into google, or “convert 1 usd to cny” (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS244&q=convert+1+usd+to+cny&aq=f&aqi=&oq=) and it will convert the value using the current exchange rate. This works for any value, and any currency (as long as you know the three letter currency code).
So many factors affect the price that you will pay that I am hesitant to even generalize prices. Factors include venue, nationality, age, perceived beauty, amount of time “in the business”, time of day, day of the week, and even the day of the month (is rent due soon?). I have known many young, good looking guys who think they should get a discount simply because the girl should want to go with them anyway. Experience has shown that this attitude will typically cause the girl to charge you more, or give you worse services. Generally speaking multiple visits to the same girl will almost always improve the experience. If you are a resident and setup a “regular” visit with a girl you can typically negotiate a better rate than if you go with a different girl every time. This also holds true if you visit Beijing frequently and call the same girls when you are in town. The key is to simply discuss the situation with the girl. From her standpoint it is always better/safer to go with someone she knows is not crazy then to risk going with a stranger. I am a firm believer in the idea that you get what you pay for. I want a good experience, so I am willing to pay a little more. I believe the following price schedule is fair to both parties, but I am sure some would disagree:
Chinese Farm Girl from off the street who speaks no English. Short Time (ST): 300 RMB, If you decided to keep her all night I imagine it would cost 600 RMB – 800 RMB.
Chinese Girl from a bar who speaks some English ST: 600 RMB – 1200 RMB (all night is rare because they have a home to go to). The price will depend on her English skills, age and experience, as well as her opinion of her self-worth.
Young (20 -30) Mongolian Girl early evening (9 pm – 11 pm), one shot: 800 RMB. Early evening all night: 1,200 RMB. Late night (1 am and after) one shot: 600 RMB, late night all night: 1,000 RMB
Older (35+) Mongolian girl: 600 RMB
A freelance Russian girl (rare): anywhere from 600 RMB - 1,000 RMB depending on how busy she is.
A Russian Girl from Hollywood, or one of the established Russian Bars: 1000 RMB for short-time, and 3000 RMB for all night.
Mongolian Vs. Chinese Vs. Russian – Who to choose?

The old joke is "what do you call a Chinese girl with tits and ass? Mongolian!" Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder. There are some girls in the bar that I would not look twice at, but they still manage to find business. In my opinion the Chinese have a more classic beauty, but the Mongolian's have nicer bodies. I have found the Mongolian's to be more passionate. They are more likely to drink with you and have a good time in the bar before going home with you. Once you get them home they truly seem to enjoy their work. The Chinese girls in Beijing tend to be true "professionals" or inexperienced girls straight from the countryside. The Russian's attitude seems to be a cross between the two - they will drink with you in the bar to a certain extent, but they will quickly ask if you want to go with them. If you say no they will move on to the next guy. There are always exceptions, so your mileage may vary.
Getting Started

Is this your first time to China? First time mongering? The easiest starting point is your hotel. Most hotels have a “lobby bar” as well as a another more traditional bar. Check them out. It will be dead early, but should start to pick up after 8 pm. Sit down, order a drink. Look around. Any girls sitting alone, or in groups of 2 or 3? Make eye contact. If she smiles, walk over to her and chat. If you don’t want to walk over to her, wave her over to you. Buy her a drink if you want, and chat with her. If she is in a 4 or 5 star hotel she will certainly speak English (and expect premium payment). If she asks to go with you, ask her how much. No matter what the value, tell her it is too much, and offer her half. Don’t get angry – just joke around with her. If she was sitting with a group, ask about her friends. Invite them over to join you, or offer to buy them a drink. This is the best way to learn the lay of the land. If there are other guys in the bar, strike up a conversation. Use the old catch phrase “sure are a lot of girls in here”. If there are no other guys around, offer to buy a drink for the bartender. He is there every night, and I am sure can tell you if/when any girls will show up. A 50 RMB drink for the bartender can keep you from wasting your time in a bar that does not allow girls, as well as make sure you do not walk out of a bar too early.
If the bars are empty check out what the hotel has to offer. Almost every hotel will offer in-house massage. When you call down they will dispatch a girl to you. Normally there is some base payment for the “time” (which goes directly to the hotel), and then you tip the girl directly for extras. They are going to try their best to up-sell you, getting you nice and comfortable with a massage, and brushing up against you, and then they are going to ask for a crazy amount of money for a hand job or sex. Be ready to pay big bucks, or send her away. Sometimes they will be dispatched from an in house “beauty salon”, and other times they may be dispatched from an in house spa or sauna. If you are staying in a lower star quality hotel, or a non-western managed hotel, you might receive a phone call asking if you want a massage. These calls are almost always coming from the in-house beauty salon or spa. They will generally be safe (to my knowledge the Chinese do not run “sting” operations in China), but it will almost always be expensive. If you don’t get a call, and don’t want to take your chances on what the girl will look like, look up the location of the beauty salon or spa in the hotel directory and go check it out. A beauty salon that is open after 8 pm will most certainly be offering “extras”. You can ask them for an in room massage, and pick which girl you want. They will not have a great selection, maybe 3 or 4 girls, but it is better than nothing. The spa/sauna is another option. Many are legit places to have a soak and get a massage, while others are simple brothels. You will have to go in and check them out to figure out which offer extras, and which don’t. There are spa/saunas in most hotels, as well as standalone facilities. In many small Chinese cities the hotel spa is your only option.
If you are adventurous, walk around the outside of your hotel. China is one of the safest countries on the planet for tourists. Just look out for pick-pockets, and be aware of the scams that are often mentioned on this board. Don’t ever follow someone to their apartment, a bar, or a KTV. There may be “pimps” outside your hotel (both male and female). If they approach you, ask them to bring the girl to you. If you see a girl you like, negotiate the deal with the “pimp” – the girl most likely will not speak English. Always go back to your place unless you know and trust the girl from a previous encounter.
If, in your travels, you come across little shops with girls in provocative clothing who wave you in, these are the famous “Barbershops” or BBS. You can go in and get a “massage” in the back on the cheap. Sometimes the girls will go back with you to your hotel. These places are a little risky because they are right out in the open. Sometimes they do get raided by the police, but the girls usually know when such a raid is coming. The further you are away from the tourist areas the better the deal you may be able to get, but you will almost certainly need to speak some Chinese.
Beginners Pub Crawl

The most basic itinerary is to start at the Pig and Thistle in the Holiday Inn Lido ( http://www.mobilenative.com/record.php?poi_id=wXys4RSe7fo%3D). The Pig opens at 5 pm and is a great place to meet your friends for a beer after work. From 5 pm until 8 pm is "happy hour" which will get you 2 for 1 drinks. Chinese girls start to show up early (around 7:30 pm), Mongolian and the odd Russian girls will arrive later (around 10:00 pm). As this is a major 4 star hotel everyone will speak English, and they will accept credit cards. There is an ATM machine in the hotel, as well as many restaurants. At about 11 pm you will know if the Pig is “happening” or not, and if not you can move to another location. From “The Pig” you can walk over to Café del Mar (CDM) (http://www.mobilenative.com/record.php?poi_id=MjzHQDUHUow%3D), or take a taxi to the Hard Rock Café (HRC) (http://www.mobilenative.com/record.php?poi_id=Wx1_IM21Ns4%3D). Both offer live music, but the Hard Rock has a 100 RMB cover charge. Girls can be found at each location, with CDM offering lower end Chinese girls, and HRC catering to more high end girls. A taxi ride to HRC should cost you around 20 RMB. You can always ask one of the girls in the Pig to go with you, and then dump her later if you find someone better. They will all know how to get there, and be happy to get into the Hard Rock as they typically cannot get in alone without paying off the bouncers. You can go to either venue earlier, but the girls do not start to show up until after 11 pm. At 1 am the band is finished for the night and everyone heads to Maggie's (http://www.mobilenative.com/record.php?poi_id=Fvveh5yUh%2BY%3D). Taxi’s will be queued up outside The Hard Rock and you can simply tell the driver “Maggie’s” and they will know where to go. You will have to flag a taxi off the street from CDM, but it will not be difficult. If you are not a late night person I suggest you still make this trek one night early in your visit. You can then collect mobile phone numbers from various girls you encounter during the evening, and then give them a call to meet you later during your stay. You can often negotiate a cheaper rate for an afternoon hook-up as the girl does not have any prospects anyway. For example, a girl that quotes you 1000 RMB for 1 time in the evening might come to your Hotel in the afternoon for only 800 RMB. Other late night options include:

The last 2 bars are upscale and have some working girls, but also cater to regular people too. Don’t be surprised if you run into one of your co-workers out with his wife for a night out on the town.
Hotels and places to meet

For short time most girls will have an apartment. It is typically safe to go back to the girl’s place, but keep your wits about you, and don’t expect anything fancy. Another alternative is to meet a girl at a sauna. They are open 24 hours a day, and most of them have rooms for rent just like a hotel, only by the hour. You would each enter the sauna and then plan to meet “up stairs”. If you are looking for a long time experience, or think you may want to try to convert a short-time to a long time, it is best to take the girl back to your place.
You can meet a girl in your hotel room before 11 pm without difficulty, but it is against the law to have a visitor in your hotel room after 11 pm. Many hotels will stop you if you try to take a guest to your room starting around 10:30. Some will not care at all. The girls will know the situation better than we do - If you pick up a girl in the hotel's bar then she probably will have a way to get upstairs. If you are taking her back to your hotel simply ask her if it will be a problem. If you see security guards posted at the elevators then they will probably stop you. You won’t get in any trouble, but they will not let the girl up. If this is the case, than she will need a valid passport – ruling out the Chinese girls. Don’t worry about registering the girl – if anything she will be less likely to try anything funny because the hotel has her name and passport information. Keep in mind that when she registers at the front desk then her name may appear on your bill when you check out. If this will be a problem you can always ask them to reprint it, removing the girls name. On the plus side if the hotel has the girls passport information there is no way she will try to rip you off.

Bars

Just about any bar in Beijing that foreigners frequent will have at least a few working girls. The routine will be the same as outlined in the “Hotel Lobby Bar” section below. Generally speaking it is safe to take a girl back to your hotel or apartment, but sometimes the cops will come through one of the bars and ask to see identification cards. Normally they are just harassing the girls, but there have been cases where they have asked to see the passports of the guys in the bar too. If they do, it is not a big deal. I recommend carrying a copy of your passport, along with a copy of the visa page and the page with the entry stamp. This should satisfy any request. If you leave a bar with a girl you may want to just double check and ensure that you are not being followed. I certainly do not want to make everyone paranoid, but there have been cases of cops following “couples” from a bar back to their hotel and knocking on the door.

Hotel Lobby/Bar
If you are staying in a 2 or 3 start hotel then there is a good chance that you will receive a call from someone in the hotel “beauty parlor” offering you massage. If you answer the phone with an English “hello” they may simply hang-up, but a “wei?” might get you a proposition. If you do not receive a phone call it might be worth checking out the hotel beauty parlor because if they offer extra service this will be the spot from which they are dispatched. If the hotel has a sauna then it might also be a place where you can find extra services. When traveling outside of Beijing the hotel beauty parlor or sauna may be the only place where you can find any action.
Most 4 and 5 star hotels will have a few working girls hanging around the lobby or bar area. These girls will primarily Chinese girls, but there may be the odd Mongolian or Russian thrown into the mix. No matter how “new” these girls claim to be to Beijing, they most likely have been working the same spot for several years. They will know, and be known by, most of the hotel/bar staff. The girl will typically approach you and ask where you are from, how long you will be in town, and where you are staying. The younger/better looking they appear, combined with their ability to speak English, will determine the price. Just like when you shop for anything in Beijing, they will start off with a high price, but most likely come down to a reasonable level. Girls working out of the hotel lobby/bar are typically very low risk because they will be well known to the management, and thus will not want to cause trouble by trying to rip you off. In addition, the girls will be plugged into the local situation, and know when it is not safe to go back to your room.

Sauna

Sauna’s in the west often spark visions of homosexual activities, but in China this is not the case. Sometimes when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere the only bright spot might be your hotel's "sauna". They are places where you can go and have a relaxing soak in a hot tub, as well as get a massage. Many saunas are thin veils for brothels. Upon entry you surrender your shoes and are given a key to a locker. There are separate locker room and bathing areas for men and women. You go in, strip down, and put your cloths in a locker. You then take a shower and can enjoy the hot tub, sauna room, ect. When you are finished you can go up to the 2nd floor which is typically a mixed sex area where they may have a buffet, and a place where you can get a foot massage. There will probably be a separate area with private rooms where you can get a massage. Some places only offer straight massage, but most will offer extras. The better saunas will perform a “routine” where the girl combines a body-to-body massage, cat bath, ect. Depending on the level of package you purchase. Some will provide “prostrate” massage which will seem strange if you have never had one, but worth the experience. If there is an “oil massage” on the menu this should at least include a “happy ending”. Normally the step from “oil massage” to a “deluxe” package is step – from 300 RMB for an oil massage, to 1200+ RMB for full service. Some saunas may have additional apparatus, like the famed “red ropes”, but I have not found such a place in Beijing. I am sure Sauna’s periodically get raided, but typically the layout of the place is such that you would be able to get yourself together before getting caught in a compromising position. Saunas will typically accept credit cards, and be able to issue official receipts (fa piao) under the title of “food” for those of you who can file an expense report. My best sauna experience was actually in Macau, where they have girls from all over Asia from which to choose, and performance is top notch.

Barbershops (BBS) and Massage Parlors (MP)

Small shops are located all over the city that employee Chinese girls. You can tell the difference between a legitimate barbershop or massage parlor from one the offers extra service by just looking in the front door. If you see several scantily clad girls sitting in the front window, gesturing for you to come in, they do not want to give you a haircut. Typically you will pick a girl and go into a back room that may only be separated from the front of the parlor by a sheet hanging on the door. Privacy is non-existent. The girls will ask for a high price to start off, but you can probably get a hand-job for 100 RMB (or less), and full sex for under 300 RMB. They may also try to up-sell you to multiple girls (one gives oyu the hand job, while another lets you see/feel her boobs), ect. Sometimes the girls will go back with you to your hotel/apartment, but this is rare. I have never felt too safe at such establishments as privacy is limited, but I have never heard of anyone getting busted at a BBS.

Streetwalker (SW) / Escorts / Classified ads

Just like everywhere in the world there are girls working the “street”, but in Beijing it is a little different. Rather than seeing the actual girl on the street you will most likely be approached by a “mommy” who will promise beautiful girls. If you agree a car may quickly show up with several girls inside from which you can choose. These girls may be cute, but will most likely be in experienced and will not speak any English. On the plus side, they will be cheap – maybe 300 RMB for short time.
WARNING – don’t ever go with / follow someone who promises to take you to a bar with “beautiful girls”. These places are just out to scam you.

There have been several posts from guys who have had luck picking up girls at various shopping centers (China World mall, for one). If you are walking around a mall and a girl makes eye contact with you, and gives you a big smile, then she is probably on the game. Walk over and say hello. If you have been lucky enough to find a girl that is not a scam artist (see section above) then you may be in for a little afternoon fun. Afternoon prices should be lower than evening prices, no matter how much the girl quotes you.

Several of the English language magazines and websites list “massage” services. No matter how the ad is worded, the girl in the picture is not the girl you are going to get. Most of the numbers go back to a single person answering the phone, who will then dispatch a girl that is similar to what you want. The price they quote you will be for a straight forward massage, with a possible happy ending. When the girl arrives at your door you have the option of sending her away, but you should at least give her taxi money. If you accept her you get comfortable and she will start the massage. Once she gets you nice and horney she will try to up-sell you to full sex. She will start at a high price, but if you stick to your guns you should be able to keep her to a reasonable level. To my knowledge the Chinese police do not run “sting” operations in Beijing, so you are fairly safe in having a girl from a classified ad meet you.

Karaoke Bar (KTV)

There are several big chain KTVs where friends/co-works go to have fun, such as Party World. This is not the type of KTV you want – you want one where they have girls. A KTV is a group experience, so if you are solo it is not advised. Get a Chinese friend/business partner to take you to one. You may want to drop some hints that you would like to see some beautiful girls, otherwise he may think you just want to sing. It is at such events that trust and “guan xi” is truly solidified.

When you get to the KTV you will be shown a room with sectional sofas along the back wall, and an audio/visual system along the front wall. The cost of the KTV experience includes the room, drinks/snacks, and tips for the girls. You can typically get the room fee waved if you purchase a minimum amount of drinks. After the room details are settled then a lineup of girls will be brought in to the room. You can choose whichever girl meets your fancy. They may speak a little English, but most will not. No problem, as you did not come to talk anyway – you can always play the dice game with her to get things “warmed up”. The overall experience can range from very tame to very wild. At a tame KTV you would sit with your girl, chat, drink and flirt, but not much more. At a wild KTV the girls will get naked, dance, and rub all over you. I have been told that these girls expect you to do just about anything but penetrate them, so feel free to let your hands roam. The girl will typically respond to your cue - if you are bold, she will be bold, if you are shy, she will be shy. The girls will sometimes go out with you, but they tend to be a little on the expensive side (1000 RMB minimum for short time), as they also tend to be younger and more attractive the other working girls. If you want a girl who will go home with you it is best to ask the “mommy” who is showing you the girls to help you select a girl, as she will know which ones are more open to the idea. Tips at a KTV in Beijing is typically 300 RMB per girl. It is the same amount if she sits with you for an hour, or all night. I will often select 2 girls from the line up to minimize my chance of picking a “dud”. After 30 minutes or so I will dismiss one of the girls if she is no fun with a minimal tip. You can always ask the mommy to bring back in a lineup of girls to allow you to pick another one, but the “good” girls tend to go fast. By the end of the night the selection is not that great. Most KTVs can provide you with an official receipt (fa piao) for the total cost (including tips) written out for “food”. Again, good for those of you on expense accounts. A KTV Tip: Once you find a girl who speaks English it is wise to get her mobile number, that way, if you plan to go to the KTV in the future you can give her a call and she will wait for you instead of joining the line-up for other guys. I have noticed that most of my Chinese friends all have "regular" girls they call before we arrive at the KTV bar so their girl will be waiting for them.

These girls perfectly know why they come (and as you mentioned it is not their real picture anyway). My advice is - be very specific (a few girls do only massage, don't loose your time), say you want sex and try to get a price for FS on the phone (max 800 ST, 500 + Taxi possible). If they don't want to give a price (they will say we can discuss later..), it means the girl will try to overcharge you. In this case when the girl arrives, negotiate at once and don't let her start anything (ie. massage). If she doesn't agree with the price send her away (and you wil find out that in 90% she will accept the price if she has not accepted before).

Sammy as wonderful and insightful as always. Just a word of warning for the less experienced, this is a guide(line) based on experiences of some of the most seasoned members, but it is not a guarantee. So read it, use it but do not shut out your own big brain. Trust me there are days you may run around in an area and you will find nothing. It is there but you have to learn to see it and also learn the rules of the game. China is different. So before getting frustrated be a little bit adventerous, it is good for you and also all of us.

Just two small remarks, on the Hotels, in general bringing a girl is no problem at all, apart from a few places reported over and over and even there it may change. I had no issues in the infamous Sheraton Great Wall during the Olympics. Also the rule with Chinese citizens not allowed alone in a hotel room without a marriage certificate is a law I only once had mentioned and that was with my then real significant other ten years ago in the South. So just give it a try, normally it is no obstacle at all.

Pricing will become an issue if you go outside the venues described here, positive or negative. Sometimes they just do not think fast enough so you pay local prices, which are way below all written here but without good Chinese and experience you should not even try to get them if not offered. As an example Andreas BBS FS for 200 RMB, he gets it in Beijing, Chinese get it even lower. The rest of us never will, I for example only with some regulars who 'love me', I even have difficulties finding FS in most BBS.

All I am trying to say is, read Sammys Guide first of all, read as much of the rest of the forum, make your own experiences and report back. Soon you will have almost unlimited choices and fun, hopefully shared with the rest of us.

If they cater foreigners they may trim, also the younger generation may have a different view. The traditional Chinese girl does not touch the natural hair as it will shy away the locals and bring bad luck.

Had a little time after finishing business in the St. Regis so crossed Jianguomen Street and explored the are south of it, behind Scitech Hotel. As this comes close to Beijing Railway Station thought there must be some action. Turned out action has been as molst of the Hutong areas there are bound to be disassembled according to the papers on the doors, so the BBS where only empty ruins. Settled for a basement MP in the street directly South of the Scitech Hotel, 180 RMB for an hour oil massage, terrible expensive but skilled. Half way she did a bit of buttocks massage and asked massage here? Sure honey, what else, the lovely Anhui girl quoted 680 including the massage. When I stopped laughing I just said no and got the same service for 120 extra later. Skilled but no touching so way to expensive. This guess seems as likely as any. I'll concur with OAH and his infinite wisdom and experience. :p Although I do have to agree with Billy that Chinese girls do trim the forest, having seen that in a FL I met several times...

Next phase is to complete the cycle with in-depth investigation.
