my opinion is a bit different.
they are not after mongers primarily they want the providers! ---primarily they are after the higher-ups in the chain, viz. recruiters, transporters, brothel owners / runners, brokers and pimps (and yes, all un-protected ones). le will target mongers also, for on the spot bribe money.
--- other mongers who might be there as well when this is going on are also rounded off. after some questioning they would be let off or haggled for bribe to be let off. ---most certainly it will be bribe money for being let off.
--- hotel is generally safer as they cannot enter your personal space nor hotels let them in on this pretext. the hotel would turn a blind eye to you having a guest when its gfriendly. ---searching without warrant is permitted under the law.
--- nevertheless better to be safe than sorry! be aware of your surroundings and if you are smart you can come out any adverse situation unrep001hed ---most important advice. as always adviced by hl, be a better judge of your surroundings.
for anybody more seriously interested in the legal aspects : refer to the attached document. btw this document is searchable in google and down-loadable from a government of india web-site. highlight is mine.
note that the act is more or less all encompassing, but not strictly enforced in letter and spirit. hence we can continue enjoying.

most certainly it will be bribe money for being let off.exactly as i mentioned they go after providers. also being in india everyone is accustomed to the fact that bribe would be necessary even when you cross a red light so when you happen to be in such a place during a raid you too would have to pay up something or the other as i had mentioned. although for them to charge you they need evidence mere presence does not suffice that you were there to buy sex. unless you are caught in the act inside the room then surely you too would want to pay up and get out from them.
searching without warrant is permitted under the law.in a brothel it might be an option to do so without a warrant. but a registered hotel with guests unless it is a known shady place they won't allow the police to enter unless they have a warrant. a hotel would primarily inform their guest. no hotel would want to take a hit on its reputation by creating a scene so they would hush up and request for privacy of others to be respected. in cases where they have entered hotels i have read it has been when their decoy customer paid the money to sp not when someone takes a girl to a room on his own. as i said they need evidence to charge someone and mere being with someone in the act in a hotel room would not be classified as prostitution. more or less rather than worrying about the police in the hotel room you should rather consider the intent of the lady not to claim that you raped her which is a far serious crime to blackmail you.

For the really serious, here is the 2006 amendment to the act.Just as we discussed this few days ago below raid and nabbing of a congress MP with a prostitute in a hotel room is interesting read. To be noted that hotels also seem as shady ones!
FEROZEPUR: In an embarrassing development for the Congress party in the state, Malkit Singh, who contested assembly election against SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal from Jalalabad constituency, was caught with a prostitute in a hotel room on Sunday and has been charged under immoral trafficking act.
The local police arrested 10 persons, including five girls, during raids at two private hotels, situated in Cantonment area.
Hardial Singh Mann, SSP, Ferozepur said, following a tip-off that some hotels in the Cantonment area were indulging in immoral trafficking, a team led by Raghubir Singh, SP (D) raided two hotels, Green Hotel and Deluxe Green Hotel and reportedly caught six couples.
The accused have been identified as Malkit Singh (Congress leader) , a police officer Gurbachan Singh, Sunny, a resident of Jalalabad, Sanju of Guruhar Sahai, Satnam Singh of Naurang ke Syal village.
The police have also arrested two hotel owners including Narinder Kumar alias Sweety and Ashok Kumar Garg.
A case under various sections of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956 has been registered against the accused in the Cantonment police station.
- To be noted that hotels also seem as shady ones!.As I have mentioned earlier,"The act is all encompassing". Customers are considered to be "abetting the crime". Yes, LE needs to establish that money changed hands for sexual gratification. For this they will ask the monger a 1000 questions. Usually a monger caught with his pants (pajama, dhoti?) down will claim that the lady is his "consenting adult friend". LE will ask the monger a few personal details of the lady, viz family members, their names, residential address etc. And the monger, most likely, will be clean bowled. In the present case, considering that a political leader was involved, the hotel may not have been a very small and seedy place. I really do not know how big are the subject hotels (Green, Deluxe Green). But even big hotels (* hotels included) are not spared as in the case of Tamil actress.
In both the cases there was a tip off. I think, (Guys, I am very careful about my choice of this word "think") , the tip offs originate from business-rivallry, business-transaction-gone-sour and a disgruntled previous customer, mostly in that order.
Well, HL & fellow members, again this a very vast subject and I am not an expert on this. Those smart guys that are trying to profile me, rest assured that I am not from LE. Neither am I from legal fraternity. What I have written is just some plain common sense, which BTW, is very un-common now a days.

neither am i trying to pull your legs nor am i trying to frighten people here. it's just that i wanted to show how the terms mentioned in our outdated laws can be interpreted in different ways in today's scenario. that's what is scary. take our mr. dhoble's actions nowadays, he is raiding all bars and we are not sure if all the girls he has sent to remand homes are really prostitutes? and all the guys he has sent to prison are really clients? that's what is scary.

Use a good quality and unexpired condoms (expired ones are prone to break easier).
Before the use of condoms, unroll completely and check for any holes / aberrations / etc.
Keep extra condoms (you never know you might end up with a ho and her friend).

I'm going to India (Mumbai, Dehli and maybe some beach time) for the first time in January. Tourism is the motivation, but any exercise for the pork sword is of interest. Anyone have some summary advice for a newbie to India? I'm well traveled and experienced in SE Asia, so I'm not a greenhorn, but a few top 5 rules or tip lists specific to Asia would be greatly appreciated.
By the way I'm working my way through the Reports of Distinction, so please no RTFF comments. There's a lot there and it takes some time. My impression is that the sexes are deeply segregated in India and my chances of a non-pro GFE are nearly zilch. Massage Parlors and pimps seem to be the order of the day, but if there are other high probability options, particularly with non-pros, I'm all ears.

Just keep in mind that there are very few game for one night stands. They want a relationship. The one night stands girls are more or less in it for the benefits.
Possible scenariois.
1. They are there with a group of friends. Girls only or mixed. Your chances of getting to know her are good.
2. They are there with their BF's. Stay away! Unless you get vibes. Then quickly find a chance to chat and see if you can get her number or give yours.
3. They are there alone for possible one night stand with benefits.
4. They are there alone to hangout and scout for a possible one night anonymous stand only. They are married / middle aged successful women.

As you've found out the hard way, girls in India are conservative but its not all that bad.
Families do not allow girls to stay out late for parties so see if you can spot a hostel-ite / a girl who is staying away from their families. Usually in the IT / ITES industry we find a lot of women who have come to Bangalore / Mumbai / Delhi to study and get placed in the same city. They are the adventurous ones who you'll find in the pubs / bars.
Marrying outside their community is a strict no-no so if they are out with you, please understand its only for a good time. Please do not fall for them, for your own sake.
Do not try and pick girls in bars / pubs. Dosen't work that way around here. You got to meet them through common friends and then take them out. Try searching for paying guest accommodation so your flat mates can help you hook up.

I just want to warn any newbies travelling to Mumbai from Europe, US, Australia etc that Mumbai International is the worst airport in India for international arrivals and departures.
If you are at all in doubt about times, always book an extra hour to get in (allow three hours before your flight) or out of the airport (allow two hours). Do not expect any short queues (even J class). Do not expect your luggage to arrive quickly (my J class luggage came out last). Expect hostility from all. Expect screening at least six contacts with checkers on departure and three checks on arrival. I was forced to bring out my iPhone 4 and prove it was not new by the security team. Yes, iPhone 4! Do not expect to whiz through customs. Do not expect J class lounge to be clean, have soap in the toilets, have toilet paper, have decent food.
A very depressing airport from a city strangled by its bureaucrats and thieves. Kolkata old airport is better. Not clean, but more orderly. All I can say is it gets better outside the airport, if only that damn monorail would get finished soon.

I just want to warn any newbies travelling to Mumbai from Europe, US, Australia etc that Mumbai International is the worst airport in India for international arrivals and departures.
If you are at all in doubt about times, always book an extra hour to get in (allow three hours before your flight) or out of the airport (allow two hours). Do not expect any short queues (even J class). Do not expect your luggage to arrive quickly (my J class luggage came out last). Expect hostility from all. Expect screening at least six contacts with checkers on departure and three checks on arrival. I was forced to bring out my iPhone 4 and prove it was not new by the security team. Yes, iPhone 4! Do not expect to whiz through customs. Do not expect J class lounge to be clean, have soap in the toilets, have toilet paper, have decent food.
A very depressing airport from a city strangled by its bureaucrats and thieves. Kolkata old airport is better. Not clean, but more orderly. All I can say is it gets better outside the airport, if only that damn monorail would get finished soon.I waited for nearly 1 hour to get luggage twice, especially gets bad after 12am.

even you go to any hospitals in india, you can see there are notices everywhere stating the above act's summary.
india is a big country. 1.2+ billion people living there, and you are referring to one or two incident (even you use commas). whatever happens in india will be reported by medias (politics is a different story imo). i would say when you consider the ratio with other countries (use little mathematics) , nothing much bad happening in india comparatively.

When I visited India for the first time, as a young backpacker, in the early eighties, it wasn't the grinding poverty that bothered me the most. Nor was it the absolute chaos or the vile air pollution that you could almost cut with a knife. No, what bothered me most was that I seemed to be cut adrift in Queer city, surrounded by gay boys strolling around holding hands. I spent the first week walking around with my back to the wall! Only later did I discover that male hand holding is a cultural thing. Strange folk, these Indians.

Yes, India has problems of corruption, female foeticide, poverty and what not. But hey, is every other country perfect?
Each one of people living in so-called civilized world will have some or the other problem and the point is not to fight over it; but to take it in it's stride! Some pointers in our civilization you might not accept and we find something in your lifestyle not good for living.
I have lived for a couple of years in Munich, Toronto and London each and I find many things in those places repulsive, but it's not in my culture to find and point out mistakes and shortcomings in anybody's life. I accept the way you live.
All said and done you cannot ignore india. Culture shock etc reported by foreigners is limited to very few bird brained back packers who a) want to come to india to experience its unmitigated, unparalleled, wholesome freedom for very little money. B) Later act like millionaires.
Sure its shitty as well, but why do people end up here at all. It gets depressing to see people talk shit about India when they are not concerned with it in any way. So much so that your little $'s spent over here for cheap booze, good food, do anything you want freedom mean nothing to us Indians. Of late I am facing some trouble accessing ISG. Many a times I get messages like "connection request rejected", "DNS not found", "Google Chrome could not load the webpage because www.internationalsexguide.info took too long to respond" etc. Many a times I get dis-connected from the internet. Any of you also experiencing the same difficulties?
Earlier I had an Airtel 3G modem. When Airtel stopped 3G service in Maharashtra telecom circle, I bought a Vodafone 3G modem. Now I am facing trouble with this also. The connection gets dropped almost every 2-3 minutes, on an un-lucky day. Now I am thinking of buying an Idea / BSNL 3G dongle also. Anybody with good / bad experience with Idea / BSNL?

thanks, in my experience in pune. 3g dongles are always dicey with network going on & off and less speed in highly populated zones. get a land line and get tata indicom broadband. always reliable.
on trouble accessing isg; i echo your sentiments; even i feel at times, page doesn't get opened. i always tray after sometime as assume that downtime might be due to server maintenance etc.

There seems to always be a discussion about which condoms to buy in India on each and every thread on the India forum. But there is very few information about some of the other products that are available now to enhance the sexual experience.

Can not see any great holliday spots near the sea or something really worth it. Its a great and halfway intresting country but. Admit I have never been there but I would go if its better total experience than other parts of the world.

SINCE her husband walked out on her a year ago, Sumana has commuted from a rented slum house in south-eastern Delhi to sit by a busy road in the city centre. Dressed in a floral-print salwar kameez and with kohl around her eyes, she picks up two or three customers a day for sex. Mostly they are car chauffeurs, who pay as little as 300 rupees ($4. 80) a time. Some, she says, are generous or gentle, but there is also violence.
Sumana sticks to daylight hours. Her family thinks she has an office job, which is what she would prefer. But she has no education, and she will carry on until her teenage son finishes school. She knows soliciting is illegal—though the law is vague on prostitution itself. She understands the benefits of condoms, yet her customers rarely wear one.
Sumana has no pimp; nor was she trafficked. The same goes for Bina, a younger woman nearby who arranges to meet higher-paying men by phone: guards, drivers and cooks who pass around her number. She complains of long hours.
Officials say India has over 3 m sex workers. It is unclear how many, like Sumana and Bina, opt for the business because they need the money, and how many are forced by others. Bharati Dey, president of the All India Network of Sex Workers, argues that prostitution is a matter of choice, and that sex workers should have rights like anyone else. The industry has grown as women, notably ill-educated rural migrants, enter India's labour market in larger numbers. Most find low-paid or casual work; for a minority, selling sex is a relatively well-paid option.
Ms Dey's and other groups want the sex trade brought out of the shadows. In April the UN's special rapporteur on violence against women said ending India's de facto criminalisation of sex workers would make them less vulnerable. Five years ago the Supreme Court said prostitution should be legalised. So, now, does the National Commission for Women, a federal body, changing its previous stance. Though sex workers are prevalent, it is not all that easy to get laid when compared to most of the other parts of the world. Hence, forums like ISG are the very few places where we can discuss and share our "adventures" to help out fellow mongers; which explains India topping the billboard here. Cost-wise, India will definitely work out cheaper.
If you are planning a trip exclusively for mongering, you may be better served in other countries. Though I haven't visited, Eastern Europe (Romania etc.) are options worth considering. If visiting India, make sure you visit Goa (for beaches).

Try to get a consulting job. You can get paid and have fun.

The usual going price is around 2-5 k for 1 hour (unless you are in some rare red light areas). The rates for a night ranges from 6-8 k upwards.

As an off shoot from mongering. A "four hands" massage in a good place in Chennai costs Rs 4000 to Rs 5000 (US $ 65 to $ 80) In Cambodia I had a really good one for $15 !

In scale of 1 being poor and 100 being rich, India presently could be somewhere between 45 to 50, that is why it is called as developing economy. Correct data is very difficult to collect in India due to 60% of its economy depends on cash transactions, not reported to financial institutions.
Now to answer the real mongering question- as stated earlier, in India there is a lot of economic disparity and this is applicable almost everywhere even in WG / SW. You may probably find the world's cheapest option in India and on the other hand you may also find the world's most expensive ones. And it depends upon individual. I'm well aware of India's position in the world (I work in technology), and didn't mean any offense. I was recently in Colombia, and while you can certainly spend as much as you'd like there, the best experience of my trip was a beautiful girl I found in a cheap downtown strip club, which cost me all of $20 USD. I'm just curious if similar things can be found in India if you're willing to do a bit of hunting. I imagine this is probably the case. Just to give you some hints: Most of the cities in India has red light areas (RLD) and many of them are running from time of British Raj. You can get much cheaper options below $20 per SOG. Your best bet in any city would be the Rickshaw Drivers / Taxi Drivers who can get you there to the exact location. At the same time you have to be more careful to not to carry extra cash while visiting such places.
Secondly if you can afford to spend more time in hunting you can try your luck in Tier 3 cities or villages. Here you can find more better and genuine options and that too at a low cost.

In my view it's difficult nowadays to get a fake sim as every sim sold in India requires a 16 digit verification number which also contains info of your biometrics. Only when the biometrics match with your verification number, then only is sim card issued nowadays.

I have seen in many threads regarding Paid Subscription, difficulty in getting VISA Debit Card Accepted by the biller.
I had SBI VIS Global Debit Card, Bandan Bank VISA International Card. Both of them were not working. I asked a lot in the forum and I searched google etc too.
The method which works.
1) I Signed up AXIS Bank ASAP Zero Balance Account Online https://www.axisbank.com/accounts/savings-account/axis-asap/axis_ASAP.html.
2) You don't have to visit the bank, everything can be done online.
3) For KYC you need to visit the bank, but without KYC you can do a transaction upto 1 lac per annum, which is sufficient for ISG.
4) Once the account is open you will get email and sms. Transfer Rs 5000/- for other Bank Ac or Debit card. (I'm saying 5000 because you will get free Physical Debit Card, if the deposit is less than 5000 then you will be charged around 350 for the card.
5) Sit back relax and wait for the physical debit card.
6) Once you get the card go to the nearest ATM and do a transaction for activate your Card.
There you go. You can even use it at other adult related sir like AH.
Hope this help my fellow mongers who are facing difficulty in buying the subscription.

I am not sure whether availing the services are illegal are not but as far as my recollection goes indulging in a prostitute is not an offence. Read the statute long back. Hence do not remember. I remember there was some judgement on the issue of whether brothels are place of solicitation. Do recollect what the court reasoned then.
