Another average visit to Kuta Timur.
Early afternoon and only about 6-7 to pick from.
Went with Desi who looked the same as her picture.
Told me she was 41 but looked younger.
Average massage and free HJ. Didn't even ask me for more money.
Very surprising so a tip was in order.
Massage was 75,000 Rp for 1.5 hours.
Just arrived and headed to Hardy and the BJ Deli for groceries. Saw a fine young thang in white in Hardy (how apt!) at the checkout who was eyeing me. I finished shopping and she was wandering around the counters. I decided to test waters and approached her. A funny cheesy line or 2 later, she told me she was waiting for her mother! We walked to the cellphone store where I bought a temp number (Simpati is the best) and she wanted the number. Aware of the wrath of a protective mother, I just gave her the number and went home. 4 hours later, an SMS came from 'Karin' . I loathe sms flirting so I suggested a rendezvous at an innocuous cafe on the by pass.
19 yo university student from JKT on holiday in Bali from a fairly affluent family from what I could tell. Hellacious flirting led to a night out in Seminyak date later that night. She was even sneaking out of the house after 10.30 to party. How high school! Feeling like the football jock sneaking the cheerleader out on a dirty date inspired me. Going back home on Danau Poso, I stopped at the Circle K so famous for the 66x house and found a very petite young thing who was purchasing something. Feeling horny, I just asked how much and pulled her home for a 1 hour. She said Rp200k for take out. Name was Kadek and was quite the short petite fuckable thing that a horny guy stopping for ice cream would cream over.
Her BBBJ was short but with the warm mouth and deep throat, it was pretty good. She got a little put off by size but I was in the mood to give a jolly rogering! :) She dug her nails in my arms quite often and was going between wincing and moaning, so I really couldn't tell if she was moaning to get me to come faster from pain. Kinda starfishy at first so I flipped her legs over the shoulder to pound her cervically. For my second pop, I did doggie and side. Rp200k + 50k tip. A bit too much but thus is the price of getting horned up by flirting with a 19 yo student.
Btw, the date went very well and after Huu bar and Mbargo, we adjourned to my place for some fun but she had to sneak back home by 6.30. It was a good friday!
Saturday wasn't bad either but I doubt people want to read about teenage dating all over again. At least now I have something to do in JKT. :)

Planning to go to Bali in June. Flying in from BKK, I see that Air Asia has the lowest prices for this 4 hr flight. Has anyone flew with them before? Also what is a good hotel close by the town center for clubs and hobbying? Want a decent place to stay for around $40-50 USD per night.
Any help would be appreciated.

Mauldid, Air Asia to DPS is fine. The 6.00 AM departure is a bit rough, but they get you there in 1 piece. Only available food on board is for purchase, so you might try to sneak some food on.
Many online companies will get you a nice room for that price, near the beach, and near the action.

Numerous witnesses, including the victim's companion, saw the fatal attack. Police are reviewed footage from CCTV cameras in operation at Bounty when the fight occurred.
Following an initial review of the case, police have charged 3 employees of Bounty with the felonious assault that resulted in the man's death – Doni a guard at the venue, Nengah Suastika a bartender, and Andreas Seram. "

On April 11, 2009,Mr Sean was involved in a brawl with a bartender and two guards at Bounty Bar in Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. He and his girlfriend are injured. He was taken to his hotel room, but fainted. Apparently some corrupt ambulance drivers/staff in Bali try to extort money from Mr Sean's girlfriend. Because they did not have insurance and extra cash, the medical assistance came too late.I love Bali, 15 years already. But two years ago I saw a tourist die on the street, I called many times but the ambulance took 45 minutes and then it was too late.
And now this double-blow tragedy. I am extremely disappointed, absolutely amazed, to read this about my beloved island. I used to walk in the streets and feel the love in the air, it gave me a natural high.
What's happening to this (lost-?) paradise island?
And especially painful if it's true what I heard, that Australia is giving Bali money for the ambulance service.
This is in response to Wanderinawe's grossly distorted and embellished "quote", which I could not locate, that perpetuates a wildly inaccurate account of what really happened in the unfortunate series of events leading to Mr. Headifen's untimely death.
I'm not going to provide a detailed audit spotlighting the gross distortions by subjective citizen journalists but suffice it to say after reading a cross sampling of New Zealand, Australian, Indonesian, and independent news bureau accounts a few consistencies emerge:
Mr. Headifen's actions solely precipitated his beating. While I'm not justifying nor trying to rationalize the ensuing brutality that ensued, none other than the deceased's actions beget the ensuing violence.
I've lived in Asia in for the better part of 12 years, in addition to visiting nearly 70 other countries, and I can't think of any occasion where I've seen a customer, specifically expats, unprovoked and unprompted THROW A GLASS at a bartender who simply pointed out that a coupon was not valid. Where one adopts such boorish and brutish tactics is anyone's guess but if I know that if someone threw a glass at me, regardless of relationship, or lack thereof, would get a whole lot of hurt in return.
Furthermore, the balance of Wanderinawe's "quote" is completely without merit and wholly unsubstantiated. I challenge him to send me a published report that printed such inaccuracies.
As I said, I'm not going to rehash the various media accounts, one can easily Google "News" articles relating to this tragedy.
That said, and I'm no Bali apologist, the enduring perception that one can come to Bali, or Boracay, or Seychelles, and expect such boorish and provocative behavior by an enlightened/educated expat to go unchallenged speaks volumes about the naivete of the aggressor.
Bali has been, and continues to be, a Fantasy Island for many as long as you are discrete, respectful, and enterprising. However, engage in behaviors like Mr. Headifen and your fantasies will likely devolve into a world of hurt.

Anyhow, I'm in bali now and most all freelancers at the bars are quoting 1 mil for services(same quality goes for about 1000baht in Thailand). i haven't seen a lot of young working girls in the bars and what is available is nothing special IMO. There are plenty of non-working asians and westerners to hookup with, however (freebies).

I was in Mbargo last fall, at a batchelor party for some Indian friends. One of my friends threw a paper napkin onto the bar, maybe 1 m away, and it acidently hit a local guy on the shoulder, who was standing at the bar. My friend apologised, the guy gave him a dirty look, and 2 minutes later, broke a glass, and slashed it accross my friend's face. Before any of us could realize what had happened, the guy was long gone. We spent the next 8 hours in 2 different hospitals, until a plastic surgeon stitched him up. He has a nasty scar. The bouncers came over when they saw all over us hunched over my friend, had a cursory look, and walked off.

CheersI actually stay off Tamblingan. I put friends in hotels on Tamblingan rather than Poso. Other than the Parigata near the bypass, I can't think of any decent place on Danau Poso that'd I recommend. There are places in the side streets of Danau Poso which have villa rentals. However, I've never visited them so I'm not much help on those.

My Honda CRV has been ran into 3 times by Motorbikes. I just had it totally
repaired and painted and it was around 9 juta.
When these acidents happen, you stop, you talk, and then you decide thats
it's a no-fault situation. You never call the police...they just want money. The point I am trying to make is that unless there is something in it for the
Thugs, they are just going to ignor it and walk away.

RLWell to be fair, it's a drunken fool's playground. You don't get that sort of stuff not nearly as often in Seminyak.
Let's be real and look at it this way. Here's a foreigner who comes in who is taking advantage of the disparity in income, gets drunk and abusive. It's not a request to get beaten up but I think bad drunks should just stay at home.
But I must be in the minority since I can control my intake to where I enjoy but am not out of control. Especially if it affects my ability to fuck!

perfectly well deserved, i say.........imo this has nothing do with being "a 3rd world poor employee" or being in the "3rd world" per se.
recreate the same scenario in munich, manchester, or miami, and one is likely to receive the same beating to varying degrees; it's not a "3rd world" problem, nor is it representative of "3rd world cultures", often its a person's "1st world" sense of entitlement and ego that makes one think their actions, regardless of how boorish or brutish, are accorded blanket immunity from blowback or worse.
i speak from personal experience, and like others here who've "matured" over the years, it's always painful to see others suffer so greatly when many, like me, escaped relatively unrep001hed and wizened up before similar consequences caught up.

According to the Indonesian language Bali Post, the dead New Zealander tried to redeem a drinks voucher. The barman told him that the voucher was time limited and no longer valid.
The New Zealander, who was drunk, got abusive, and threw a straw (that's right, a drinking straw) at the barman, who responded by picking up the heavy glass jar containing the other straws and hurling it at the New Zealand guy, hitting him in the temple.
The victim, who was obviously not reading the writing on the wall too well, staggered out of the bar (according to the Bali Post) and tried to get into what was described as a "dancing" room. He was refused entry on the grounds that it was full.
He got abusive with the doorman and there was a bit of push and shove, and then he was punched around the body by two bouncers, one of whom was described as a current Indonesian boxing champion.
The bouncers threw him out, and his girlfriend, also drunk, got him back to the hotel. She tried to get him an ambulance but decided that the cost quoted by BIMC (Rp3m) was too expensive. She was quoted as saying she fell asleep and when she woke up, he was dead.
The pathologist said the cause of death was a combination of brain bleeding and swelling (from the straw jar), and internal injuries to his heart and other organs which resulted from the beating he took from the bouncers.
The cops arrested the barman and the two bouncers.
This is what the Bali Post says, so I don't vouch for its authenticity.
A New Zealand friend of mine said that if the victim had behaved like that in his own country, he would have been dealt with in much the same manner, but that the ambulance would have been free.

Try the Senia Hotel especially if the budget is a bit tight. It has huge return business from mainly Australians.
Cheaper rate if you have a girl, but that is 2nd hand from a mate who stays there regularly. Forget the price.

I concur wholeheartedly with all your other points; I was here in the wake of the 2005 bomb and watched in amazement as both the BTB and Bali government squandered, if not outright embezzled, the millions of dollars donated by the expat community, NGO's, foreign governments, and corporations that were donated for the island's promotion and infrastructure development.

I once Came upon a "just happened" motorbike accident, fairly late at night, in the bukit area.
Three people total (all local), one of whom was "spurting" blood out of his mouth as he struggled to breath. He had lots of other injuries.
There were already 20 locals on the scene, basically standing around. No one seemed inclined to do anything to help the victims.
A police car pulled up (accident very near police station), and "we" (bules) lugged the "spurter" into the back seat and it drove away.
The apathy of bystanders is common, and isn't only in situations involving bule victims.

Try Palm Garden Hotel on JL Kesuma Sari which is at end of JL Danau Poso and leads to beach. Real close to action maybe 75 metres from ON-ON. Girl friendly, good pool and quiet.

Well try the Puri Ayu, Trophy or Agung and Sue's Watering Hole all at the bottom end of Jl Cemara. Very close to it all also. As is the Palm Garden as mentioned and also the one roughly opposite to the Palm Garden whose name escapes me.

Abraxas, I could not agree with you more. However, if the guy had been a local, chances are the ambulance would have arrived, at very little cost, if any.
Also, if I read these articles correctly, it is not that they didn't want to spend the 3 juta, they just didn't have the money. Maybe they were at the tail end of their holiday, and were short of money ?

This is sad, but it is the reality.Let's be real about the situation. The girl is 19, in a foreign country and they asked for Rp3 juta. Should she have lied and said he had the money? Of course. Still, a young naive 19 year old who's not heard of paying for an ambulance all her life isn't going to have her wits when she too was probably drinking.
If anyone has been to the SOS before, he may not have survived anyhow. It's a bad tragedy, just like that mad Brazilian who was drunk and killed a local balinese by hijacking a car and going wild in Legian.

For anyone who's still interested in the saga of the New Zealander who died as a result of a beating at Bounty, here's a Bali Post update.
The Saturday edition carried a story about the police reconstruction. These are like little plays, with the suspects wearing placards with their names around their necks, and a cop playing the victim.
It transpires that the three suspects are denying that they beat the guy up. They said they were struggling with him in an attempt to throw him out, when he fell and he must have sustained his injuries in the fall.
I would treat this with the contempt that it deserves.
In a former life I spent 15 years in the armed forces. I cannot count the number of times where some of the lads got a bit over-enthusiastic defending their (imagined) honour in some drunken stoush and the victim sustained major injuries, some resulting in death. (When paras do a number on someone, we were trained to make it hurt.)
Their inevitable defense was that they punched the victim in self-defence ("Only once, sir") and he fell down and hit his head.
When I was a wet-behind-the-ears second lieutenant we deployed to Germany to provide airborne support for a joint BAOR/US Army exercise. After the drop, several of our lads went out for a bevy and were involved in a bar fight in which a Turkish waiter was killed.
One of the blokes was in my platoon and I swallowed the "fell down and hit his head" story hook, line and sinker.
I was incensed when they were all convicted of manslaughter and imprisoned and I complained bitterly to the Provost officer who investigated the incident.
He wearily flicked a graphic black and white photo of the Turk's bloody head at me.
"Fell down and hit his head five times, did he?" he said, pointing out the separate wounds.
Perhaps the local cops watch enough CSI not to buy the lie, but somehow I feel that the local authorities would like to be able to say that it was all a terrible accident and brush it under the carpet.
Let's wait and see.
They say one dot is just a dot. Two makes a line and three, a pattern.
A person is only allowed to kill someone under extenuating circumstances.
Manslaughter is the accorded murder charge for escalated battery that causes death.
I believe in case of mobbing, the most problem the prosecution will find will be finding proof to sentence the person delivering the final blow that kill. A good defense lawyer can tie the case for ages for inconclusive result. Better one will move fast and plead for judgement while the prosecution unable to produce conclusive evidence. Due to inconclusive evidence, it is likely the judge will be forced to reduce the charge into lesser sentence.
The rest depends on how good the prosecution at doing his job.
Still, I believe paras should be taught skills to restraint and immobilize opponent. Broken bones are easier to be explained and cured than death.
As sad as the story goes, 5 blows to the head just prove how vicious the attack is. It is unfortunate the person died.

BarekThere are different parts to Grahadi,personally I have only eaten in the cafe,but you do see the girls there also,you choose you girl for massage from an album,then there are cottages to go to for massage and whatever else you can think of!,I assusme the KTV works the same as any other, but I have never been to one,but I think you can take out,but probabaly cost more,I found Grahadi very expensive, and there are alternatives as good as, and much cheaper,details are on this forum,hope that helps.

Its in Sanur. Its a Hotel and you can stay there too. But if I were you, I will avoid staying there and prefer the Kuta area. Sanur is known for its brothels and Dian Ayu is more popular for being a brothel.

The flea pit is at Nusa Dua on the by/pass road. Under the big Yamaha sign and next to the cement factory. Just go up, the small road for 400m. 2. About short-time and long-time: are they fairly standardized in how long they last, or does it vary greatly depending on the girl? My idea of a satisfing LT is waking up late in the morning for a final unhurried session before parting ways; )

RyoOn point 1, I find the Kuta spots are just blatent pick up spots but the YAK is alittle more subtle. A lot of Kuta girls finish up their night in places like 66 if they dont pick up. I picked up many just by going for a walk at 6am on the beach at 66.
Point 2 , some chicks want to bail at sunrise for any number of reasons , there is no standardised format and taxis can be alittle thin early in the Morning.
I found more Freebie in the Yak but plenty of younger freebie in Kuta.
As for your digs , I dont know them

Sixth they insist you count it out on the table to check how much it is.
Seventh they count it out again.
Eighth they give you the money and you leave.
The scam works at point seven. During this point they do what any card sharp can do. With sleight of and and rapid movements some of the money, say 20%, will drop behind the counter. The preliminaries are there to attract you and then to lull you into a false sense of security. But the warning sign is they are the last to handle the money before you walk out.
Twice I thought I had lost some money, and my girlfriend also complained that she was missing money. Being a lawyer I did not want to accuse the resort staff without being 100% sure. And just as well.
The scam was explained to me by a taxi driver. I needed a fair bit of cash in Sanur because I wanted to take two teenagers at once. I stopped the taxi driver at a place where there was a good rate of excange. He was adamant that I should not go there. I ignored him. When I got back into the taxi he insisted I should count the money. I refused. He insisted. I refused. He refused to go until I counted it. I took my wallet out and counted the money. I could not believe my eyes. I counted it again. And again. I had just seen the money changer recount the money! We sat and discussed the options. Challenge the dealer, call the police, call it quits. With my new respect for the taxi driver I followed his advice. It was impractical to call the cops. Challenging the dealer would only be met with a denial and he may well have some heavies to back up his claim. #%*! *at&.
So, in the words of Ace Ventura I had to bend over and take it up the tailpipe.
I was in Bali for two weeks. I was based in Seminyak. While on the beach in Sanur looking for a deckchair I go approched by a female tout. 'You want girl? ' I raised my eyebrows. That was all the encouragement she needed. 'She suck your dick' and 'she suck your dick and make you cum'. The record got stuck and I sneaked away. She took me to a place where they had to get the girl and I negotiated very hard and got her for a bargain. But time was short so BBBJ with large CIM. Used the savings to give a generous tip.
Here's the second bit of advice. A really good excuse for an absence. When I got back to girlfriend (and her mother) they wanted to know where I had been. I said I just took a look down a sidestreet, and that when I got back onto the mainstreet I turned left instead of right. As a result I was walking away from them instead of returning. Profuse apologies and then I had another subject of converation to move to and so it got dropped.

I am glad you posted this - this info needs to be posted every so often because new people always get tempted and ripped off. I got ripped off too in Bali two years ago - lost about $70 US over exchange of $300. One thing to be mentioned is they always give you Rp. 20,000 - that makes it easy for them to rip you off. I don't know if confronting would have helped. I did not count my money again until I got to the hotel - so it was too late. This and other experiences have me a bad impression of Indonesia - there seems to be a tout in every corner and Jakarta and Bali make Sukhumvit seem downright civilized.
I will be in Bali next month - and I will either use ATM or a bank and never one of those money change assholes.
Sorry to hear this happened to you Stopover, however, it is written in EVERY guide book, to be on the look out for dishonest money changers. They usually operate from a very small shop, down an small alley, and have a very tall desk in front of them, which hides their hands. There also sometimes is a "friend" there, who will engage you in friendly chit chat, to distract you.
This should have been your first clue:

Come on, who in their right mind is going to offer a rate which is HIGHER that the bank published rate? And who, in their right mind is going to go for that? You say you are a lawyer? :eek:
Remember, they do this several times a day, and some people do go back and complain. All you needed to do was go back in, suggest you were going to summon the tourist police, and they would have aplogised to you, paid you what they owed you, and it would have been over.
If the exchange rate seems better than it should be, it is a scam.
Any money changer that does not offer a receipt is going to scam you.

Funny thing is that they (the backstreet "moneychangers") actually refuse to do business with you if their cheat does not work.
Being in a charitable mood, I thought I'd go help local small business, thinking these scam stories were probably a thing of the past, these days, in Bali....
I tried four small backstreet moneychangers, and they all had a strange trick, like for instance pushing the c-button on the calculator, to make the last zero disappear, hoping you get confused with all the zero's of Indonesian rupiah, etc.
None of them would give me the correct change and after exposing their scam, they'd go Asian-deaf and wait for me to leave.
So finally I had to take my business to a bank. I simply had to decide none of them were legit. That the Bali police allows them to continue to operate while their honest intent is really zero, is a mystery to me. I'm sure all of this is widely known in Balinese circles.
Can any of the Bali experts tell me exactly how it works at Grahadi?I presume we can not have have a take a way.

Crypton, I may be wrong, and other Bali LT residents, please chime in, but I think you are going to be out of luck. Most Balinese girls will not be working, at least not in Bali. The "kampung" is never far, and they would be ostracized if someone found out.
I did know one Balinese girl, actually from Nusa Penida, who was a FL in the bars here, (technically Nusa Penida people are Balinese), but she has vanished.

Yes I agree with 1ball, it is very difficult to find a Balinese WG. I know many bule that are married to Balinese women but it takes time to nurture that relationship.

I had a very limited window of opportunity this past weekend. I had business associates AND my Significant Other with me. But I made a late afternoon break-away to check out Nody Massage.

being this just a stone throw of South Legian and with so much available action in this part of Kuta, I haven't had the faintest the Dewi addition would have caused a bit of a stir. But, reading the posts now, I'd absolutely hate to think any of my fellow ISG posters are being taken advantage of by the elephant- so, my best description would be:

Found a place at the end of Mataram street that is a hairdressing salon. Go in and they will show you into a small showroom where about 4-7 girls will come out and you choose. Away with her indoors but managed to sneak away a few times, visited Balinese spa as mentioned before. First visit was charged 160,000 for a VIP room 1 hour, this was a crappy room with attached shower picked number 30 from the fish bowl she called herself Ellie, there were around 20-30 girls in the fish bowl at 15:00 on I think a Wednesday.

Crypton, I may be wrong, and other Bali LT residents, please chime in, but I think you are going to be out of luck. Most Balinese girls will not be working, at least not in Bali. The "kampung" is never far, and they would be ostracized if someone found out.

it depends on what kind of diving you want to do.
If you want an all inclusive, pick you up at the hotel, drive you in a van, get on a boat, lunch provided, etc, there are several dive operations in Sanur, which will take you out to Nusa Penida, and that is some good diving. A lot of drift diving, so if you are into macro, not a good plan.
BIPD, or Atlantis dive operation are in Sanur also, and can pick you up, and take you to Tulamben, or Nusa Menjangan island. it should set you back about 80 USD for the day. Not sure about bargaining right now, as it is high season.
If you are a DYI kind of guy, rent a motorbike, drive to Tulamben, get a 7$ / night room, (no need for AC in August), and have my good friend Angel take you out diving. Excellent guide, very helpful, speaks english very well, and he won't rip you off. He is a "freelance" dive guide, means he is no longer affiliated with any dive shops, but he has a full set of rental gear, and he knows the walls and the wreck like the back of his hand. I am actually heading there today for an overnight trip. 3 dives including a night dive, and back home tomorrow morning.

The advantage of staying overnight, is you can do a night dive, and also be done with your first morning dive before the day trippers arrive.

LT price mostly depends on where you get the girl from and your negotiating skills. How old/fresh and how lovely she is also makes a difference (of course), but a lot comes down to your negotiating skills, based on time of night, thickness-on-the-ground of other mongers, your own age and body-shape (and charm), and so on. As an old-time monger, I suppose you know all of this without repetition.
In my opinion, the markets for "extra services" as an extension from massage, and for straight sex (ST or LT) from free-lancers you meet in the usual pick-up places don't bear much comparison. Some guys have paid as much for a handjob in massage parlors as others paid for full-service including the massage. And as for take-out from a high-end bar, count on some of the stunners asking (and expecting) a million rupiah for the night. But that doesn't mean you have to pay it to get a hot and fun girl for the night. Sorry to be so "it depends" in my answer, but that's the reality . . . it just depends.
Yes, 10 thousand rups to one US Dollar is a good rule-of-thumb on conversions, and for sure you should be able to find acceptable poon for LT for less than $500 thousand rups . . . for FAR less if you are patient and flexible about where you hunt . . . and for more than $500 if you let your dick do the negotiating.

In the southern part of Sanur the JL Danau Tamblingan ends and near it there is the end of the JL Danau Poso (which is then continued under another name until it intersects the JL Danau Tamblingan). On the JL Danau Poso, not far from its end, there is Blanjong temple (or Pura Blanjong) which is not so noticeable from the street but it can be found on a map of Sanur and taxi drivers know it. Across the street from the Blanjong temple there is a "circle K" shop (note there are several other circle K shops in the town). Go to the narrow alley just next to the circle K and there you will find first the "18" and then the "66X" and "67X". Each has about dozen or more girls to choose. They opened afternoon until late night. I tried two different girls in 66X (Selpi and Lili), both were fine (although Selpi speaks almost no english) and I visited 66X many times. BTW the circle K sells imported Thai energy drinks (dark small bottles for 3500-5000rp).
If you go from the circle K along the Danau Poso toward its end, I. E. Such that the circle K is on the left side of the street, after several minutes you may see the 41X on the same side of the Danau Poso at the corner. This place does not have their own girls. They either take you by motorbike to some other place like 66X or will take girls from there. If you continue to go you will soon see the "29" on the same side of the street with the "29X" inside which has their own girls.
Other possible landmarks are the hotels along the JL Danau Tamblingan. The closest to the action is the "Sanur Beach", near it there is "Puri Santrian", then "Bali Hyatt", also the "Mercure" is not far. If you go from the "Sanur Beach" toward the Danau Poso along the small street perpendicular to the Tamblingan then on the right side of the street you may see the sign "WISMA 27", if you continue you will arrive to the Danau Poso just at the corner with the "41X" at the opposite side of the Danau Poso (respectively if you turn left and go along the Danau Poso you will arrive to the circle K).
The "WISMA 27" is a kind of bar with music and many bar girls. You may have a ST FS with one of them there for the same 150, 000rp+50, 000rp tip, but the room there is worse than in the X-houses: just a dirty mattress, no sheets, no towels, no shower. The girls can be taken out for LT, this is more expensive of course, they suggested something like 500, 000rp, maybe can be negotiated down.
What happened in 29X. During the first visit I checked out a girl she said her name is Hani (sounds sometning like "honey"), tall, long face with thick lips, respectively big tits. The girl was nice and the service was good. After the action I found there are no 50, 000rp bills in my pocket. That time I did think there probably should be several ones, but I was not 100% sure and even if yes I was not sure whether they disappeared here or in some other place (later I remembered better and realized that indeed several 50, 000rp bills disappeared from my pocket that day). But I knew exactly how many 100, 000rp bills I had, and all the 100, 000rp bills were here.
Next day I eventually again ended up in 29X with Hani. This time I had counted all the bills in my pocket. When I walked out of the bathroom I did see the girl stays just next to my clothes and pretends she looks at the window (in 29X there were no place to put clothes such that they are visible from the bathroom. But in 67X there were hooks for cloth just opposite the bathroom, so in 67X you may see your pockets when you wash). However we had a good sex, the girl was nice with me and provided good service working hard on top of me. After the action I checked my pockets and found that this time the girl did steal eight 100, 000rp bills and three 20, 000rp bills. I demanded calmly but confidently and toughly that she return the money she just stolen. She denied of course, said I am a paranoid, suggested to search her. I continued to insist she should return the money herself. I did not use any particular threat (letting her to imagine something worst, just insisted I know for sure she did steal the money and she should return them. After about 10 minutes of such conversation she eventually took from somewhere in her panties six 100, 000rp bills and three 20, 000rp bills. I said she did steal two 100, 000rp bills more and should return them also. She denied again, then started to weep. I said calmly and softly that she should not worry, everything will be ok, she should just return all the money she has stolen. After some more 10 minutes she took from her panties and returned me the remained two 100, 000rp bills. Then I said yesterday she did steal 50, 000rp bills. She denied again. I decided here the situation is hopeless and walked away without giving her the 50, 000rp tip.
I tried to say to the men who run the 29X that their girl steals money, but they did not react. After that I have never visited the 29X and I think the girl and the 29X have lost more money then she did steal.

Spent a few days in Sanur for a change. I did look at the flea pits and to be honest seeing gals sitting around sms'ing and asleep does not inspire me into action-prefer a more civilised approach personally. So Sanur was too quiet for me.

The Nirwana links near Tanah Lot is Greg Norman-designed and was voted "Best Course in Asia" a couple of years ago.
The Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club up in the hills is beautiful and cool and more affordable than Nirwana.
Bali Golf & Country Club is out near Nusa Dua on the Bukit.
There's a new course called New Kuta Golf, also on the Bukit but closer to Pecatu and the surf beachs like Padang Padang and Bliangan.
There's a nine hole knock-around in Sanur.
More experienced golfers than I can comment on how these compare with other courses, I'm new to the game and a total duffer.

Do you realize that the "flea Pit" is a shit hole? That's why it is called a flea pit. This is where the local truck drivers get there rocks off. Why any bule would want to venture into a dirty foul place like that is amazing.
There are Warongs all thru Indonesia where the trucks stop for makan murah,
and a quicky with a dirty little lady in the back room, for 20,000rp.
If you have any self esteem and pride, pay the "cleaner ladies" in Sanur their
200,000 and feel better about yourself.
Of course this is just my opinion, but after doing business in Indonesia for 11 years and never catching a crab, I must be doing something right, by picking better locations and better women.

I wasn't actually intending to session in the flea pit, but rather just explore out of curiosity. Your further description definitely shuts down any thoughts of sessions there! Am planning on daytime and evening sessions in Sanur, then retreating back to the hotel. I looked at all the Sanur hotel recommendations, but am thinking a bit more upscale this time around - hence Jimbaran or Nusa Dua.
Any travel time estimates from those locations to Sanur?

I definitely prefer Sanur to Kuta or Seminyak - but I don't like late nights, and I don't drink. There are certainly some upscale places in Sanur, such as the Hyatt, and the boutique places like the Griya Santrian and Puri Santrian, but there are also some excellent value places that are quite nice. I personally can recommend both the Tamukami hotel and the Mercure - the Mercure and the Hyatt are both well located within walking proximity to the X-houses on Danau Paso. Personally I was quite pleased with the quality of the ladies available at the various X-houses who were available for 150000 to 200000 plus a 50-100K tip depending upon the service level. To put that in perspective, that's less than $20-30 US for very full service with quite attractive girls who seem to care about their hygiene.

I was feeling the urge recently and based on some of the reports here, i headed out to Grahadi Karaoke on the Jalan Bypass Road, about 10 minutes from Kuta. I was taken to the back part where the fishbowl was. Inside there must have been about 60 gorgeous women, all heavily made up and all wearing white dresses. Most of them were in the 8 - 10 range. I asked the 'host' how much and he replied it was Rp 1.2 million to have a girl and then Rp 200,000 for the room. Talk about a fuckin' rip off. Besides, those girls would have been too far up themselves to provide any sort of memorable experience. I decided to leave.
The taxi driver then took me to Barokah brothel on the Jalan Bypass, Sanur, about a Rp 50,000 taxi ride away. There was a smaller fishbowl here and I chose an attractive girl by the name of Eka. Her fishbowl number was '54'.
The papasan wanted Rp 500,000 short time for Eka. I negotiated this down to Rp 250,000 but even this I think was too much. It worked out at AUD $30, so I was not really too concerned.

Every Hotel in Bali is Girl Friendly. And Sobek Rafting will pick you up at your Hotel.
Sanur beach has a walk way or jogging path that streches from Benoa harbor
to North Sanur and they keep building it longer. Sunrise is great if you are a morning person. Enjoy

RLI agree with Robert as there are some very good hotels in Sanur, these have already been mentioned in other posts. But if you want to have real privacy, what about considering renting a villa as there are plenty of these available in Sanur, very exclusive and luxurious with your own housekeeper who does most things, your own private pool and garden where you can really enjoy yourself. If you do not want to eat out then most of the good restaurants in Sanur will deliver meals right to your front door.
Anyhow where-ever you choose to stay have a great time in Bali as there are some very pretty ladies available in Sanur.

For example, he mentioned 67x behind the circle K, as far as I know, that is not a tourist bungalow location, just a brothel bungalow.

In my experience the room is always included with the girl in Sanur. I know
in Kuta if you take a WG from a bar you need to find and pay for a room, which she usually has an agreement with in the area. Wam-Bam thank you

The tourist areas of the island are absolutely packed, at least as busy as I've seen it in the last few years
I had some UK acquaintances arrive last week with only their first three nights booked in advance.
It took them a lot of running around to get a place they were happy with for the rest of their holiday.
It's not impossible by any means but I'd guess that most of the desirable places will be full, and you might have to settle for second best.

RLI just spent two weeks in Bali. Seasonal Aussie invasion is full force -- places like Legian are more like Perth than Bali. Most hotels are full with only a few rooms available here and there. Do not go to Bali without a firm reservation or you will end up moving around.
The bars are full and the back of Paddy's (left side of bar coming in the entrance) is the place for WGs. The quality ranges from 1 to 10. By 10 I mean gorgeous, speaks some English, 20 years old. It is important to remember to bargain for everything in Bali. Never accept the quoted price. US$30 for one of the older gals (late 20s, have kids) would be fine but close to $100 for a 10 when including tip and taxi is probably reasonable.
That being said there is plenty of amazing quality available. An interesting phenomenon is that you can meet a (non-Balinese)Muslim girl on the beach from Jakarta and with appropriate treatment (food, phone minutes, small gifts) she will come back to your hotel and become your girl for the week, but every night she will put on a full Muslim prayer suit, pull out the carpet and do her thing. Kinda crazy.
Kuta is a wonderful mixing ground with people from everywhere. The Indonesian tend to be on the airport side of Kuta Beach just before sunset.
Massage parlors are a hot bed of possibilities. Just go back a few times to see the same girl and tell her what a great job she is doing. For $5 per hour massage who can get too much? Balinese are more traditional less likely to go for financial rewards -- but if they like you they will become your girlfriend and provide extras include FS.
There are always the special service massage places -- and the prices again are negotiable -- but R150 to 250K is standard.
I found interestingly that massage places featuring ladyboys often also include females who are willing and able. That is the rules seem to be more liberal at these places. There are two of these in the middle of Jln Padma legian. There is so much talent in Bali. It is endless. Enjoy.

Normally, during July and August, Bali is busting at the seams.
That is when most of Europe is closed, and holiday makers take their one month long holiday. September is a great month to holiday in Bali, people are gone, and the weather is very nice.
I just tried to book 6 seats on a TPE DPS for next week, and also BKK DPS the following week, and seats are available.
Seems to me hotel rates are up more than 50 percent. Though in the case of this particular hotel (Ida) it may be that the hotel is trying to reinvent itself with a new image (boutique budget!) and a new business plan.
I just hope Bali hotels dont price themselves out of the budget market - one of the charms of Thailand has been that you can find decent hotels in almost any price range, and that usually keeps their tourism strong.

spent 10 days in bali with a friend from july 28th to august 7th.

the kuta clubs are the domain of the young, drunk aussie tourists: the dance floors at bounty and paddys being the perfect example. they don't care about pussy, so even though they are all around you, you don't have to worry about them being potential rival bidders.
nearly all the places of interest to us are located on the same street, jalan legian, in a stretch of maybe 400 meters, so you can easily hop from one to the other.
while you can find people partying as early as 11, 30pm, don't expect to see many girls before 1am, with the best pick up time being between 2 and 3am. don't know if it's always like that, but during our stay kuta was relatively deserted on saturday (everyone in seminyak) and sunday (no explanation here).
the prices we were quoted went from as low as 300.000 r short time to 1, 5 million all night.

getting a good cocktail in bali has proved very difficoult, even in upscale bars. this bar/club has a good team of bartenders who mostly know what they're doing. no action at all.

seminyak being an upscale and trendier counterpart to kuta, you'll find more european tourists here, and virtually no drunk australians. as for the girls, some have their base of operations here, while others come over from kuta if they haven't found a customer.
the clubs being less wild than the kuta ones, many punters who found company come here for a drink and a chat in a more relaxed atmosphere.
things get going around 3am.
it makes little sense to me, as on a holiday island there shouldn't be much difference between weekdays and weekends, but seminyak really comes alive on friday and saturday.
never enquired about girls fees here, so don't really know what the going rates are.

great beach club-lounge bar-restaurant at the end of seminyak. very upscale, could easily be in mykonos (also because of the higher average of european customers). not a place to look for action, but one to take your "date" and look fabulous. at his best around sunset, shuts down relatively early. great cocktail list.

it has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread that the stretch of beach in front of 66 is a good p4p pick up spot around sunset: i have to report that unfortunately, on two different visits, we couldn't see any girls. someone told us we may have better chances in kuta beach, but that's the beach we liked the least overall, so didn't give it a try.

in a positive way, i don't have much to add to what has already been said about this mp.

i arrived around half past midnight, walked through the door and reached the bar. at this point a young guy who speaks a smattering of english approached me and politely introduced himself: as i was alone and really only interested in one thing, i immediately told him i wanted some company for the night, and asked if he could help me choose a girl. he answered it was too late and the girls were only available for karaoke. thinking he may not have been at liberty to discuss sexual services in the open, i asked him to take me to the fishbowl, which he promptly did. i told him i was in bali on business, and that a business partner recommended me grahadi for girls company, but again he reiterated the girls were only available for karaoke. i briefly considered the option of taking a girl for a karaoke and see what was gonna happen, but i remembered clearly the many posts of people going to grahadi and choosing a girl without having to go through the karaoke thing, so (quite disappointed, i admit) i thanked the guy and left the place.
as i had other options i never tried grahadi a second time.

obviously the resident experts will have a wealth of knowledge on this matter, but i will try to tackle the issue from the point of view of a tourist visiting the island, with only a few days to make something happen.
a good number of the girls you see working in the stores are not inferior looking to the "stunners" you may find in paddys: just try to imagine them on high heels, dressed sluttily and wearing make up, and i think you'll see what i mean. now, a good number of these girls are from java, not bali, which means they are probably open to a fling, just as long as you treat them nicely and pay for dinner and drinks. i'm not talking about what's cheaper here: if you go for a freebie you're looking for something different than quick sex no strings attached, and are prepared to make the necessary compromises. the unquestionable advantage is their english is above average, and you can actually have a conversation that goes beyond "where are you from/what's your name".

as the action starts very late in kuta and extremely late in seminyak, you'll face the problem of when and where to eat.
during the first part of our holiday, we went out around 11pm, had a drink, then proceded to a restaurant, finishing the meal around 1am. thing is, if you're looking for decent-to-good food, you don't have many options, as there's only a handful of restaurants open until late. in kuta you have macaroni and the seafood place in front of bounty, while in seminyak we could only find santa fe.
for the second part of our stay in bali, we changed habit: went for dinner around 7 or 8, had a nap afterwards, then left our rooms around 1, 30am. this second arrangement worked better for us, as it has a double advantage: you have unlimited choice of restaurants (plenty of good ones in seminyak), and you can go out a little later, fresh and rested.
taxis and traffic
i'll repeat here what i've already said in my jakarta post: taxi drivers, even the otherwise reliable blue bird ones, are a lot less knowledgeable than you may think, so you are better off always bringing with you the full address and/or a map of where you're headed.
almost impossible to find a blue bird at 66 by day or night.
in kuta make an effort to understand how traffic works, what are the worst times, and which streets are one way: very often, and especially at night, walking 5 minutes before boarding a taxi can easily save you 20 minutes or more of total gridlock.
hotel
we stayed at sayang maha mertha (www.hotelsayangmahamertha.com). unless you're on a very tight budget, i don't particurarly recommend it, as it's the last option before a hostel: small rooms, old fittings, bedsheets clean but worn out, no in-room safe deposit box. on the plus side, beside being quiet, it was quite strategically located: on jalan lebak bene, off jalan melasti, it's a 15 minutes walk to the kuta clubs, a 10 minutes walk to legian beach, and traffic wise good to catch a taxi to seminyak and the massage parlours/grahadi area. there are many other hotels of better quality in the same street.
and that is all. i really had a good time in bali, and hope to have the chance to go back someday.

I had luck with some tourists(russian and korean) on my last visit in April. Do the koreans travel to Bali year round or are there certain months they travel the most?
It's always hot at this place, and it's dirty, but it's one of the places with a special atmosphere I like. This time I went there several times in daytime.

My neighbor here in Bali died today.
65 year old Frenchman, drank too much, ate too much rich food, smoked 2 packs a day, came down with kidney stones 5 days ago.
4 days ago, he went to the emergency room, and was admitted.
They performed a routine surgery on him the next day, to break down the stones, so he could flush them out. During the procedure, his blood pressure dropped below the acceptable level, and they had to stop.
The next day he was getting ready for them to resume the operation, when they found an infection.
Yesterday, they did a bunch of tests on him, to see what was going on.
He died at 9.00 this morning.
I apologize for being a downer, hopefully one person at least will benefit from these words of advice.

The Barokah Hotel is a bit further down (closer to the "A" in "Kuta") than where you put it. Or you could add the number (bypass no. 456) in the description.
I got decent service in the Barokah hotel, both Eka, no 54, and Lulu, no 26, were nice.

Restaurant with live music. A couple of good looking waitresses and on one occasion noticed some P4P looking for customers.Amazing compilation, Ryo! Yup, Santa Fe has freelancers. I got a quote of 1 million ST and 2 million LT from a 29 year old (meaning she was over 30). Laughed and left.
What I found sorta fun: Those massage places that are all over Kuta/Legian have a few very cute girls, many of them Balinese, and the massage I got for 50k (plus a tip) was mostly surprisingly good. Just say no to those HJs that are sometimes on offer and collect their mobile numbers instead. They stop work earlier than the FS-shops, sometimes at 8, sometimes at 10 pm.

UvaNo trouble at all with the Hyatt or other high end Hotels. You may just like to take the girl down for her taxi so Security do not hassle her for money on the way out. Not that it will always happens but it does sometimes.
It's always hot at this place, and it's dirty, but it's one of the places with a special atmosphere I like. This time I went there several times in daytime.
The girl I preferred came on her scooter when I saw her the first time. The beautiful legs spread she looked wonderful. After all she had a good attitude, was open to nasty things .... but by the end I was sweating like hell. That's life.
I forgot her name, but not her nice body - enjoy (especially JustBlue)How much did you pay ? The place is over prices now and girls making up prices. For a shit hole and i was there biggest fan.

This time they asked for 300.000 IDR - and I just laughed. By the end I payed 100.000 anytime I visited the place. I had another girl, a bit chubby with bright skin - wonderful as well. Same price.

I guess, you guys are familiar with many places in Bali. On the map you can see the golf course on the right side. The rest should be clear. Don't expect too much - hold your eyes open and you'll get some gems over there. But be aware of the heat and some dirt in that place.

I arrived in Bali with a goal of meeting up with the girl from Adrian MP, who has fantastic boobs (Ms K). My ambitions beyond that were pretty limited, both because of time and because I was exhausted from mongering at night and working all day in Bangkok for the four days previous. Bali airport’s super long entry visa lines and a foul up in my hotel reservation slowed my departure to a snail’s pace. A further delay at the hotel for check-in didn’t do much to improve my mood. Denpasar’s streets were more crowded than usual because of (so I was told) a Harley-Davidson owners convention.
Anyway, I showered and got out of my hotel before room-glue grabbed me. I had a drink at the Chi-Chi’s Tex-Mex place near the water park. I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully and only for fun) to pick up one of the waitresses there for about three years. Then I set off for Adrian MP to see about what I could arrange with Ms. K. Two girls were at Adrian and told me that K. was not there “right now” but they were eager to please such a handsome man. Pass for now.
I went to my favorite legit MP (Relaxation Yoga at 200 Jl. Legion, next to the double D bar. Two hours later and much more relaxed I moved back to Adrian. I passed by the place with the scary ladyboy but kept to the opposite side of the street. At Adrian, I found more girls, one of whom had enough English to tell me that Ms K had quit and gone back to Singaraja. C’est la vie.
I walked down the street past several MPs, some with very aggressive and very pretty ladies. I think Centaurus has a good iplan to sort out the winners and I may try it during my next visit. This time I just smiled an moved on. I ended up at the Mini Bar (directly across from the Ramada Bintang) and had a drink with a lady (Ms. M) with good English and good curves. We concluded the evening together. Nice vanilla sex.
One piece of information that passed during pillow talk. The girls in Bali are all aware of the prices that get paid in Jakarta at the big clubs (Alexis, Maliboro, etc) and know what is charged at places like Grahadi. So guys like me (and like Centaurus in his post about Santa Fe) are always going to hear 1 juta IDR or more as the opening bid. I’m not shocked by the quote any more. I don’t pay it but I’m not shocked.

Sanur turning out to be a very pleasant surprise...following the leads of a couple reports here, visited all the houses around Circle K on Danau Poso, very easy to spot, and there are many many houses, all marked with an X for identification...houses on Sekawaru, 3B and 11B had several cuties, but looked rather bored and papasan was not very friendly..wandered up around 66 and 67X, a few lookers, but the one i wanted didn't want to go with a barang...house 18X next door was stocked with at least 30 gals, young, cute, willing...papasan asked 300,000 and wouldn't budge...so ended up wandering over to 6X down the road on Danau Poso, where they asked 200,000 straight up...turns out that they get all their girls from 18X too! Told them what my specs were, and they have been delivering, night after night...highly recommended, and no need to pay the kind of outrageous prices they are asking around Kuta...

A bit of a cocky title but I think I’ve got most things sorted out. The new map (based on Google map) is more detailed, more correct and with better resolution. All venues marked on the map have been verified that they exist. Venues found in other reports that I not have been able to localize I have omitted.
For this project I deployed a new strategy:
1. Only went for ST (but took the girl’s mobile number if she seemed fit for LT).
2. I never took a taxi direct to a venue: either drove my car, walked or took a taxi to the nearest Landmark and walked from there.
3. Never asked for the cost: just handed over 200 000 rp to the papasan. It worked everywhere except in three places:
a. Sukun Bali Cottages, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 100 000, the girl 300 000. He went down to 50 000 for a fan room and 200 000 for the girl.
b. 99X, where the papasan told me before I asked that the room was 500 000. He went down to 200 000 and I understood later the he meant another 200 000 for the girl. The girl he fetched turned out to be a repeat of bad performing girl so I cut my losses and left.
c. 05X on Tirta Ening. The mamasan wanted 300 000 but I offered 150 000. She accepted as I started to leave. I really hesitated, but decided to ’take one for the boys’.
When I was younger I didn’t do ST because it always became extremely short. This time I did two ST each evening, and I think my body sometimes was confused whether the first one really was the first one or actually the third the same day. So at several occasions I did the full hour, and most of these girls started to complain after 45 minutes. Only a few troopers made the distance with joy and even kissed me sweetly goodbye as we parted.
Nuts M was correct in his post 07-06-09:
There are two ways to find the girls. You can go to a bungalow (small hotel) and ask the staff to find you a girl or girls. Just describe how the girl you like most. About 15 minutes, he will come with some choices. If you like you can take, but if you don't just ask him to get more.
Second, you can go to a showroom. Choose the girl, take her/s, then go to a hotel. This way you can choose from more than 50 girls (depends on time). Most of the showrooms/fishbowls also have rooms available.
Most places are quite easy to find: they have clear sign boards, but sometimes a landmark can be of help to indicate the beginning of a street or an alley or an obscure location.
The attached documents contain tables on streets, landmarks, fishbowls/showrooms, hotels and bars/pubs as well as maps of the 'red light district' and of north Sanur. I wasn’t able to pay a visit to all hotels, (as I discovered a few new ones during my walks) but I hope someone will be curious enough to visit and report on those I haven’t verified by visiting.
I have tried to use all names correctly, e.g. 18 on the Circle K alley is not 18X, as 29 on Jl Danau Poso is not 29X, 09X is different from 9X etc.
The Google map did not correctly display all streets (and alleys) so I have corrected this to my best ability.

Actually, I tried 150k several times in January, but never reached that. It's probably, as you say, for repeat customers where the intervals are considerably shorter than 6 months ;). So this time I didn't bother to haggle.

(say starting minimum of 150k-200k), but from reading now, seems the girl is one price and the room is additional cost. So for money saving, I'm assuming now that all these places are more gear toward you taking out the girl to your own hotel as I understand All hotels and guesthouses in Sanur are usually "guest friendly" anyway.

FYI, when I was in Sanur last December, my experience was that I could get 150K at the 41X place, but every other of the X-houses held firm at 200K.
At the 41X house, they normally did not have girls waiting around, after I showed up, they brought a chica (or sometimes two from which I could choose) to me by moto. But I was generally pretty darn happy with the chica that they brought to me.
I ended up generally getting one girl from 41x each day, and trying one other place each day. In one instance I ended up with the same girl brought to me at 111x whom had been brought to me the day before at 41x. Fortunately, she was worth repeating with - but the 111x charged me an extra 50k for the same girl.
Since the difference was around $4, It wasn't worth arguing over.

This information may no longer be valid, but was correct a while back.
Most girls work out of several, if not most X houses. What this means is that a girl might be brought by motorbike to 67X, 22X, a house on sekar waru, a house behind circle K, etc.
It is my opinion the location is not as important as knowing the girl. If you have the girl's name, you can probebly go into most X houses and say, "I am looking for Ari, she is about 155cm, 45 kg, short brown hair, and she is from Bandung". Chances are the pimp will know exactly who you are looking for, and can summon her to his place of business.

Things have both changed and not changed in the two years since I was in Bali.
Last time I met a girl introduced to me by Prof Designer - one time only. The rest of the time I depended on a massage girl I ran into. We took a very narrow lane off Jl Legian, near Poppies 2, and in the opposite direction to the beach.
We went ended up on an unpaved street called Mataram and turned left - toward Legian.
We walked for maybe 10 minutes, and one interesting thing I noticed on the way was a large building labeled with an X. 40X - that was its address. I wondered if it was like the X houses of Sanur and asked the massage girl, but couldn't get an answer. I wonder if one of the Bali regulars knows about this, or will want to check it out?
We ended up at Number 30 - a salon (Salon Bintang). Inside I was led to an alcove with a couple of chairs and 6 or 7 girls showed up. None of them was really worth doing, and I was getting ready to leave when another girl came.
She was okay, maybe a 5 or 6 in looks (see pix below). The mamasan quoted 200,000 for her and I agreed. But when it came time to leave she upped the figure to 400,000. Maybe I should have quoted a smaller figure to begin with?
I left, but the massage girl persuaded me outside to agree to 250,000, which I was prepared to pay anyway. We summoned a taxi, and off we went to my hotel. They have a room at the salon also, and I imagine she could have been had for 150,000 there, same as Sanur. But I do prefer my own room.
She was from Java of course, did not know much English but was pleasant enough. But she was a clock watcher - not during the act - but at the end. So I gave her 10,000 for the return fare and that was it.
The salon has a telephone number (email too), but I am not supposed to post those. In any case, I would not recommend it unless someone is really hard up. But people have differing tastes.
People do have to watch out for these massage girls - they are turning into ripoff artists, as my second massage girl was.
I ran into her on Jl Legian, closer to Bemo Point. Agreed to 40,000 rupiah for an hour's massage, but showed up at my hotel with a friend. When I objected the two of them offered 60,000 for an hour so I said what the hell. The massage was nothing to talk about, though the Balinese girl was cute. I sent them packing.
Next day I met the Balinese girl on the street, and she offered to massage AND get me her younger sister. But she wanted 50,000. I agreed and she 0ame over. Halfway during the massage she wanted to go get her sister. I asked her to finish the massage but she said she wanted to finish later. I knew I wouldn't get any more. Note to others: In a similar situation, make the girl finish her massage, pay her for it, and then ask her to get the girl.
She returned 20 minutes later with a woman I didn't want to let anywhere near my organ, and who was her sister as much as I was her brother.
No, I said, get the hell out. But they begged and pleaded and, the flesh being weak, and this being my last day in Bali, I let the girl give me a hand job. She offered to suck - no way, I said, keep all your organs except your hand away from there. I paid an extra 100,000 rupiah and bid adieu to Bali.
The visit reinforced my belief - the easiest girls are in Pattaya, and the sexiest girls are in Rio. Bali is a great place if you go with a girlfriend or wife.

Like 1Ball, I thought I'd go for a recce. This was a couple of years ago. I guess there have been few improvements, since my reactions were identical to his.
But I never bothered to post my disgust lest I came across as elitist and fastidious.
I've been in some horrible *****houses in my time - the cages in Bombay, the shacks just over the German border on the road to Prague in the Czech Republic, the tent city near Srebrenica, and even the cardboard hovels in the waste ground in the back of one of the bus terminals in Denpasar (strictly as a spectator in all these cases I might add) but the flea pit takes the cake.
You can just about see the bacteria crawling on every surface. And the sheets and the mattresses are just stiff with a thousand comes.
There's got to be something seriously wrong with a bloke's self-worth to choose to get his jollies in a tip like that.

1. I didn't have the free time to explore too much.
2. The availability of girls was very limited due to the end of Ramadan holidays.
Anyway, he's a summary of my experience. For a first timer to Bali, the maps and information from Barri was invaluable. Not doubt it saved me some from being ripped off.
The first visit to Sanur was mid afternoon and that was a bad move.

in retrospect, as far as indonesia goes i think stadium in jakarta is my first choice. a few years ago i stayed near jalan jaksa in a tiny room for about rp 35, 000 a night and rode the busway to stadium for rp 3, 500. most nights i didn't meet a woman i liked and it didn't bother me. on a few occasions i met really cute women that were fascinated by me. for rp 300, 000 (the price then) i had really nice experiences in clean and private rooms. if you spend all night there, the busway starts operating at 5:00 am so you can get back to jaksa for rp 3, 500. (the same goes for blok m too) remember how i told you i was a cheapskate? . in my opinion indonesia is best for adventure / entering a different world, while the philippines is where the best gfe is to be found. Overpriced and likely to be the most hassle for a girl of any place I can imagine. I never brought back a girl, the one time I stayed there (with my SO), but the logistics look tough. There are many, many other better choices for hotels.

The last time I stayed was back in 2005 and it was fine it was on a package deal before we went to java and sumatra it can get a bit pricey if you eat and drink there as the prices are the same as western prices but if ou just use the facilities and eat and drink else where its fine.

The "X" houses in Sanur seem to be open until 1 or 2 a.m.
I humbly suggest that you read a report that I posted in June 2008 on the Sanur "X" house scene, plus a few posts written by others that follow my post.

If you are planing to go to Bali, do not go during the high season. December thru May should not be bad. But Bali is back and prices are at an all time high where ever you go.

Puri Kelapa Gardens or Bumi Ayu Bungalows. A little over $30.00 a night which includes Am Breakfast all you can eat.
Puri is at the Mcd's end of Sanur, Bumi Ayu is in the center behind JJ's.
