Good hotel. No issues with bringing your guests as long as you booked for 2 occupancy.
Pros:
1. Almost at center of the city.
2. Right next to Emporium.
3. Decent Breakfast, lunch and dinner Buffet.
4. Clean room with big windows for lots of light.
5. Has dedicated smoking floor.
Cons:
1. Room service can be slow and may have to make multiple phone calls. Took me 4 attempts to get the safety box unlocked and opened.
2. Biggest con is the traffic jam, due to its location and street runs from central, always traffic jam. On several occasions, I had to wait for 30+ minutes for the grab to arrive. Alternatively, you can take the Bluebird scammers.

Thats the one downside of Jarkarta, there are no morning / early afternoon options but after 3 or 4 its fine. I just lounge by the pool or in my room after lunch until about 4 pm. While an eSIM is convenient, getting a local SIM card is even better. If you're fortunate, you might end up with a local domestic SIM instead of a tourist one, which will be useful for future visits. Don't forget to get GoPay and load it up for places that accept cash and QR code payments but not cards. Here's my experience it was the first place I chose to visit (and my first time at a spa).
- Just stroll down the driveway without overthinking it. The building is on your left you can simply say "Spa" and they will handle the rest OR if you're a foreigner, they'll instinctively respond with "Spa?" saving you asking. I couldn't find any hotel booking options online, so if anyone knows how to book a room (or if it's possible via WhatsApp or similar), please share. It would save time for me and others if you could do multiple visits in a day and pay accordingly without having to stay at Luminor.
- The ladies are generally quite attractive just a heads up about the standard 200 K tip, which the female mamasan mentioned in the elevator.
- Expect limited to no English skills don't bother asking the mama. Just choose someone who seems interested, and you'll be fine.
- I can't recall the girl's name, but the service in the warm pool was fantastic! She noticed I was a bit nervous and took the lead until I felt more at ease. The spa area was empty, which was nice since I didn't want anyone else watching me, haha.
- Things moved quickly since it was my first time with a pro, so don't judge the performance based on that (I improved later on).

This place is fu* expensive for extras. I would've 2. 5 million IDR for a B2 be massage (the therapist had a great body), but I ended up spending 3. 5 million for FS with a therapist I believe was from China (PRC). Both prices were steep because I didn't negotiate. It seems to attract a lot of Chinese businessmen who are willing to pay those rates regularly, along with some Korean simps. The cover is extremely tight and uncomfortable, so it's best to bring your own. They no longer have spa ladies roaming around the sauna or pool, at least not during my visit (I had to leave for a flight in the evening) but maybe they're around in the evening if someone is going to be there to check?. The facilities are nice, but I recommend avoiding the ground floor if staying there since sound travels easily under the doors. The actual massage was excellent, especially the Shiatsu, so I suggest skipping the extras.
B Fashion Spa
Not to be confused with Fashion Spa, they are different! In Google Maps be Fashion Hotel is the location for be Fashion Spa.
Looks wise it's very day dependant but I'd say lower on average than Emporium but to be honest depending on the day you can luck out and pay much lower and get a great experience (I went twice). The sauna / pool is nice, good spot to warm up or cool down before / after FS. Again, covered but I didn't ask about BBFS. Can't remember girls name but cost was something like 930,000 IDR for 1 hour, and then whatever the price was for the entrance. I'm heading back soon, I'll get a receipt and remember the figures this time and figure it out if someone doesn't beat me to it.
The road traffic is heavy depending on where you're staying, so plan accordingly.
Hotel.
I checked into the Luminor Pecengognongogngognognnananan about 2 hours from deplaning. I saw a massage services sign in the lobby. Checked into my room and showered and then called for massage.
15 min later, knocking on my door. I expected a granny but was surprised to find a pretty 30's lady. I could tell her ass was about 10 pounds heavy. The massage was very good. Then she offered an HJ. Hi Guys, I was out of ISG for 30 days as been under the weather. I need your advice hence approaching the forum for guys who have experienced both Manila and Jakarta. My Jakarta expense was around 250 USD per day inclusive of hotel, flight, visits to Emporium, getting a freelancer chick to my room and regular visits to Bats / CJs for drinks and enjoying their live band. Different floors in emporium and the setup is bit different. You can drink where they lineup the girls on the spa floor but it's always been super empty and the vibe isn't really for it. But the frequent visitors feel free to correct me.
It was definitely 405 k for two shot because I had to dig out that stupid 5000 idr note LOL. Keep in mind for planning if you decide to go that Kelapa Gading is a bit of a pain to get to with Jakarta traffic. Luminor Peccenongan: I like this hotel for the rate I get through my corporate discount and also room type and breakfast options they have. Very nice and friendly staff.
Empire: 22 Alexa, girl was good and submissive but establishment still poses "we don't care attitude towards non-local.

At Lumens. There was a report recently when shot girls got this guys bill up to quite a high amount, around 1 m from memory. I'm glad you enjoy the Mangga Besar road area. It's certainly more lively compared to the heavily trafficked Gajah Mada where Holiday Inn, Novotel hotels are. Decided to try Redstar Hotel. The price was unbelievable plus I mentioned in my earlier post I really want to give Hotel Travel a good crack this time. But minimum charge 200 k, I said to them no thanks. Thought it was quite interesting there was a sign at the Redstar lobby in Indonesian but not English. I used google translate and it said " No Smoking and No Guns". Maybe tells you more about the clientele.
Then I moved to Novotel Gaja Meda. This is useful for exploring Lokasiri and Mangga Besar which is a big street food area. Trouble was there's no decent restaurants nearby within a 2-3 mile radius, as mentioned it's either street food or very local restaurants. So if you suggest these places to a date they'll probably counter with someplace else.
Some girls will ask for you to pay for their taxi there and presumably return journey as well. So along with the price of forking out for a meal it may not make a lot of sense to date civvies on a trip unless you do like going on dates and chatting to locals. There are many things to do in Jakarta that is advertised for domestic tourists and not international.
There are many international foods, museums, parks, hiking and camping sites on the outskirts. You can go horseback riding, jet skiing, boat riding, fishing and island hoping from the North.
You just don't know the local environment and only come for cheap sex.

So I ended up staying an extra couple of hours.
Band switched to dj and the dancers came on and did their shuffle wearing red lace outfits.

Malio shuts its doors at 3 am.
Getting to Malio can be a hassle right now since the bus stop construction or whatever it is blocks the road. You really need to plan ahead and check your route, or the taxi drivers might get annoyed.

I have not stayed at this particular Movenpick but from other Movenpick I have stayed, they would always outperform Luminor.
I don't think I would stay at Luminor simply because of the traffic and wait times to get a grab. On occasions, I had wait for 30+ minutes for the Grab. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel and next to Emporium if that's your main attraction in mind.

You'll be hit with fees and surcharges of a couple of percent and if you don't select the right currency option (always choose the local currency and not your home currency), there's the potential to be hit with more fees there.

In resume, Classic and Travel are still the best options in my opinion.

Indonesia seam not expensive, but it's expensive, I spend almost 3500€ for 30 days with periods of rest and eating local (plane tickets included), a 400 k sex in 1 place can be a 1. 5 k in other place. And prices are not going to decrease.

I decided to check out Mari Enjoy bar since it was within walking distance of my hotel in Mangga Besar. I went in with low expectations, given the previous reports by others it's a dump. They are right, essentially, it's a small hole-in-the wall dive bar with Karoake, sofa seats, dim lighting. There were two rows of girls, the first row had slightly older chubby girls, and the second row was with young slender girls. I liked a few girls here, took two girls, one from each row for 300,000, the first girl is young and an amazing kisser, loved her sloppy passionate slow deep kisses, our tongues were locked in for the entire time. The second girl is older chubby but super friendly that we both sang Karaoke before going upstairs. The rooms are spacious, bed was decent size, but the bathrooms were dirty. Well, what to say I have been going there every day for a week, first to take a look drink beer then get one girl, drink more, and take a second one, even a third. So am I doing something wrong?Update: I finally got it to work after the third attempt. The first time it kept giving me the 404 page even after I refreshed it several times. Then I had to redo the whole application a 2nd time and then I got the payment page asking for my debit card info but my capital one card kept declining it even after I had clicked the "everything is fine" button in the email that capital one sent me. So then I redid the application a third time and got to the payment page and used my Fidelity debit card instead and it said payment successful. I then received an email stating that I had met all the requirements and my eVisa was approved. It has a download button in thr body of the email but when I click on that the web page just times out and nothing comes up but I noticed at the top of the email there was an attachment file and I clicked on that and it opened up my eVisa showing I have until January to arrive and it had all my info and my picture and a QR code and barcodes at the bottom and says I can use the eGates for arrival and departure.

Spent 2 nights in Jakarta, stayed in Luminor, very convenient- walking distance to classic, right next to Emporium and Korean bbq, nice meat haha. The only downside is the fact that bars are a bit far away from there.
I arrived fairly early in Jakarta- 10 ish, both emporium and classic second floor are open from 2 pm, reached hotel by 12, couldn't check in so took a gojek to sugar spa, 10 minute ride or so, got a pretty girl there- spinner with see cup, the service however was pretty standard- no kissing, I chose the option without massage, so quick release and done, the price was around 545 k.

I'm hoping to get to Jakarta in the middle of January next year. This Hotel Classic seems to be the go to place. May I ask you Jakarta regulars few questions please?
Is it a straightforward process of picking a girl in there? Just identify the girl you want and ask her and the mamasan how much? Or is there some convoluted dance that involves buying various hostesses drinks with some just there to inflate your bar tab?

LOL.It's an absolutely humongous city, I don't know why people say there's nothing to do. The food scene is really good, there's some really nice cafes / malls & all the usual city stuff.
If you book any high end restaurant / hotel it'll be among the cheapest in Asia. For example Novotel is around US $30.
Lots of different areas to explore, keep hearing about PIK or S Jakarta but haven't been there yet.

I have come up with another fiendish plan, I could just say that I came down with a terrible stomach bug whilst there and had to spend the majority of the trip in bed. LOL.
A local guide that also provides services would be my absolute ideal scenario. As a solo traveller things can get quite boring once you've shot your load, and I can only really manage one or two these days. So some half decent company for the rest of the day / evening would be great.
It's a long shot but if anyone has a contact of that sort please DM me. I'm flexible on looks etc as long as service is good.

I have hit up a number of the usual places mentioned frequently on this board but am still working through the list. Last night I hit up CS's at midnight. I was surprised by a few things based on expectation I had from reading this board. As far as Jakarta goes it is a pretty classy place. Second, the ratio of ladies to men was pretty high while I was there. It seemed to be about 4 women or more for each man in the cocktail area. Maybe I was lucky and came at the right time? Thirdly, on the night and time I went the women were pretty consistently hot AF. They were all dressed like expensive dates which they kind of are. I know the price point is about 4 -5 times higher than Classic but the women were consistently much hotter. They are also pretty forward. Not mamasan level aggressive but you will be approached, winked at or smiled at by several well dressed hot women if you just walk in and sit at a table alone. I had read that the women tend to be older but on the weeknight I went they all seemed to be between mid 20's to late 20's which at my age is still pretty young. Also I am starting to see the trade off between youth and experience. The smoke show I left with had one of the best natural bodies I have had the pleasure to spend time with. I agreed to 2 juta and that was the all night long price. On the down side she did not bring lube with her and she definitely needed it. So that kind of shortend the fun. Next time I will ask about these details before I agree to the arrangement. Up until I started pushing my sled across the dry desert sands my lady friend was impressing me by how much she knew what she was doing. I have been to classic several times now and it is somewhat of a crap shoot as to what weird issue you will have to contend with. E. g. Girl wants to do covered BJ, lack of enthusiasm etc. I will have to check out CJ's a few more times to confirm if my first night was typical. I also need to check out Malioboro also.

Nothing worth taking pictures of. So nobody will ever think about sex here. But I can not think of any reason whatsoever to visit here except Bali. That is an easy sell but then you have to answer why did you go alone?But Philippine food is bomb. Every day I've been eating beef tapas with canin and those bomb ass little spring rolls with the vinegar are amazing also that brown soup (not sure what it's called) that they serve at the same food cart is heavenly.
There's also a spot I found that gives you a big piece of fried chicharron (liemposilog) with scrambled eggs and rice and free soup and water for 100 pesos. I've been eating there like every cpl days. And the Philippine fried chicken is better than any fried chicken I found in Thailand. Jollibee in fact is a Philippino chicken chain that is international and found in the US. So to say Indonesian food isn't much better than Philippino food doesn't make any sense, Philippine food is on par with Chinese food.

1st off all thanks to all the members here, you know who you are. For newbies like me:
1) Get evisa and save QR.
2) fill in customs upto 3 days prior to arrival (indo has a 1 litre alcohol policy I bought 2 liters in and no one checked BTW).
3) health declaration qr. Airlines sent me this but no one asked.
4) download grab and assign a indo rupiyah card.
Smooth sailing through airport. Cash machines in airport. Max withdrawal was 1 mil but they kept the card in and ask any other services so I kept withdrawing to 3 mil.
Went to the original sim card provider at the end but some pretty girls at the counter of the other 3rd parties. I took 2 of the numbers. Yolo. Also while waiting for grab there was clearly a hot chick returning from somewhere (sb?) so said Hi you want to link and took her number as well.
Grab to Movenpick. Super hotel new with humble staff and excellent facilities. Said I'll have guests up and they just let them come to reception, take ID, ring me and send them up. I vpn indo and booked via hotel website and paid in rupiyah so slighly cheaper.
Dave at EMP said pool closes at 2300. My 1st choice SB bailed but due to airline wifi no biggie. Currently showered and waiting for another insta SB to come via grab for my first LT in Jak. More to follow.

Indonesian food is very good, I work in F and be PR so I get invited to many high-end western, Japanese & Asian restaurants all the time. In the past year I've probably had about 30 omakase meals and they're ranging US $100-500+ for the meal, I can categorically state that Indonesian food is really good. The Indonesian restaurants in other countries generally don't do so well because they dumb-down the spices for overseas palates. You keep mentioning the good food scene here. I have never seen an Indonesian restaurant in another country like Thai, Italian, Arabic / Persian, Mexican. Many major cities all over the world have these restaurants. I find Indonesian food not much better than Philippine food. Next time you are in town I need you to prove this to me.
Covering your tracks is hard here. All someone has to say is that it is the highest populated Muslim country in the world and the people are very conservative so the trip was a bit boring so I took a train to Bandung and another city for something to do. Nothing worth taking pictures of. So nobody will ever think about sex here. But I can not think of any reason whatsoever to visit here except Bali. That is an easy sell but then you have to answer why did you go alone?Indonesian food is great, some of the best in the region. I have never done any sightseeing in Jakarta, the only city that I have ever been to on a regular basis and seen SFA of it, apart from bars, night clubs and restaurants.

I don't need to prove anything to anyone. But Indonesian food is good and there are great Indonesian restaurants in Singapore for example Its not as well known as Thai food, but its still pretty good. My helper at home is Indonesian and she cooks amazing dishes. But also Jakarta has good Japanese food (Sushi, Omakase, Japanese BBQ etc), some high end Chinese food (example Chin Chin), decent Italian and other restaurants as well, all at a fraction of the price of the west or Singapore. I've also found good Vietnamese and Thai food. Jakarta is a major city and has more things than just hooker bars you know.

Have any of you ever taken the Jakarta Airport train into the city? I think it goes to BNI Station and some other ones too. I'm going to be staying at the Classic Hotel and wondering which would be the best station to get off and get a Grab from there to Classic.I think Duri is closer for you than BNI City station.

I took a Garuda Indonesia flight from Seoul to Jakarta, and let me tell you, the flight attendants were sexy in the dress, I can't wait to reach Jakarta and had a vibe this trip was off to a fantastic start. So not sure which ATM you are using that's dispensing small denomination bills but if you were to get money at the ATMs that dispense 100 k notes then $100 usd would be about 15 bills which is hardly a "brick" in fact in Colombia I have kept more than 15 50 k notes in my wallet and I was still able to fold it just fine.
And also, in my experience, it's better to have smaller denomination bills anyways because people don't always have change for the larger bills especially when buying stuff in the street then you're standing around waiting for them to find change.

A) Bad is finding 1 mosquito in every 4 Bluebirds you step into.
B) Fucking unbelievably bad is finding 3 mosquitoes in every 1 Bluebird you step into.
The difference between A and be would be the month of the year which affects temps (believe it or not) and rainfall / humidity. I'm sorry to say I can't remember which months fall under the A category and which fall under be. In August, I had an A month.
It's hot in Jakarta even at night, and the taxi drivers nap with the windows open. This naturally draws the mosquitos into the taxis in droves! And they're usually filled with blood when you splat them. The key to finding them at night is to shine your phone light and they'll usually find themselves around the beam and cast a long shadow as well as light themselves up for a splat. You'll want to take these guys out, they carry dengue fever!

Notorious for playing small change games are the Bluebirds. I love these guys, but did you notice the price has really crept up pretty fast since COVID ended? A short trip used to be 10-20 k. Now it's 25-35 k. What's worse is when you pull out a 100 k and ask for 50 k change (I leave a generous westerner gauge tip especially if I take a Bluebird out of a queue for a short distance ride), the drivers often don't carry sufficient cash change!
There have been times I needed a 17 k ride, and for a 50 k bill, driver only carried a couple of 5 k bills. Nothing I lose sleep over, we're talking 1 USD or 2 USD lost in efficiency. But if you're seeing my point, it's about paying 50 k for a 14-17 k ride simply because driver has no change.

But Philippine food is bomb. Every day I've been eating beef tapas with canin and those bomb ass little spring rolls with the vinegar are amazing also that brown soup (not sure what it's called) that they serve at the same food cart is heavenly.
There's also a spot I found that gives you a big piece of fried chicharron (liemposilog) with scrambled eggs and rice and free soup and water for 100 pesos. I've been eating there like every cpl days. And the Philippine fried chicken is better than any fried chicken I found in Thailand. Jollibee in fact is a Philippino chicken chain that is international and found in the US. So to say Indonesian food isn't much better than Philippino food doesn't make any sense, Philippine food is on par with Chinese food.
