since then a lot has happened, in early 2007 the booths were firebombed and then the police investigated and cleared them out, so there are no booths left.
in it`s place is a new high rise appartment complex.
all thats left now is a few street walkers (chinese) who use the love hotels, so thats about it now
there were a few private places near johnathons, i had one good experence there a few years back, but i`m not keen on the back streets.

Any recommendations for karaoke booths that would be good for something more than karaoke? Ie, ones that don't have a giant rectangular window in the door everyone can see through. I was visiting an automotive company last week in Odawara, but had the chance for a "layover" in Kawasaki on my way in from Narita. A bunch of new Korean talent has arrived. I can report that though they are a little more erratic these days, I hav never found no booths open. Even if the ones in the corner with the young Korean hotties are closed, there are some other booths, or more like small bars, that have the second tier Japanese women. They are also 10000yen. Some of these old women are just strictly go through the motions types, but I have found a couple that really get into it and give great feedback the whole time. If old is your fetish, you should defintiely make a trip to kawasaki. You have to walk all around the place, because the old ones' booths are not in the main little booth strip with the young hotties. They are tucked away on the other streets in and amongst the soapland places. I would guess there are probably 5 or 6 women above 50 (hell, could be 70, I can't really tell). They generally don't stay open very late though. But they open early in the afternoon, even as early as noon.

As anxious as you seem to be, coupled with your lack of Japanese language skill I would advise you to set your expectations a little lower. If you have an unlimited budget then you can head to Yoshiwara in Tokyo and there are probably some places willing to take your money but it's going to be a relatively serious amount.
You can try Kawasaki but it's very difficult to negotiate without very basic Japanese skills.

Get yourself to JR Kawasaki station. Then follow the detail in my old 2006 post below. The booths are in the top lefthand corner, furthest from the station. When you find a girl at a booth you like, just point at her. No language needed. Price Y10,000.
Kawasaki between Yokohama and Tokyo is worth a visit. Go out the train station into the underground complex on the bay (east) side. Go the street level by exit no.39. Walk straight ahead crossing the arcade and take the first street to the left (there is a Mitsui Sumitomo Bank on the corner). This is the historic old Tokaido road. About a mile down there is a Lawson convenience store on the left side of the street. At that point face right and take any lane into that block.
Yoshiwara can cost you anywhere from 25, 000 yen (total) for 70 minutes to 70, 000 yen (total) for 2 hours. Many of the establishments require foreigners to enter with a Japanese friend.
Concerning your question about Roppongi, it isn't a typical place for mongering, even with the Japanese. It' known more for its restaurants, bars, and hostess bars.
Kawasaki is a very good suggestion, and is known for affordable mongering, especially considering your location. I know you are very anxious for information, but please be patient.

There is plenty of information in this forum about Kawasaki. Here is some advice: Go sober, go alone, take a shower before you go, take your own condoms if your unit is large because Japanese condoms are pretty small, be well dressed, don't be a dick and be patient. Mid/late afternoons are probably best. You will probably see touts standing outside of soaplands (Turkish baths). It is highly unlikely you will be serviced there but in the unlikely event you are invited in you should listen to exactly what the lady says and follow her lead.
All of these places have local protection (i.e. Yakaza) so don't get out of line because you will regret it. No police action here if you're drunk and disorderly or if you try to force the lady to do something she doesn't want to do. If you behave like a gentleman and do what you're told you should have an enjoyable, uneventful time. If you get out of line you will have to deal with the local neighborhood association representative and since you don't speak Japanese this could be an unpleasant situation.

After all I was there it was a good experience after looking for the place for a long time lookin for a place in japan without knowing japanese language is a hard job! I found very few booths there and found a lot of places where these guard sort of guys were inviting me but when they came to know I'm a foreigner they were not allowing me to get in is there anyway to get in there or is there any who allow foreigners? After that I found sum booth and got into one of them and had fun let me know if I can get any1 of those other closed places!

This Yokohama forum is full of information about Kawasaki, which is supposed to be similar to the offering of Yokohama's Hinodecho area 5 or 6 years ago.
I assume that you, like me, are not of Japanese decent, are not fluent in Japanese, and are in Yokohama for just a short time. If all that is true, and you have 3 ichi-man (30, 000 yen) or so in your pocket, then I suggest inviting a gal from Asian Mystique to your room for a 90 minute session. Kawasaki lets the good times roll. Another Korean gem earlier this evening before heading out to the pub with work buddies. Well, I'm back in Japan after a 3 year hiatus. Recently went down to Kawasaki on a recon mission and had no problem finding it thanks to my brothers here in the forum. I went by the area again in the afternoon last week. This time I didn't have time to survey every soapland to find out if one would take Gaijin, but I did run into a Thai streetwalker right along the river on the Fukutomi-cho side. If you follow directions as below, as soon as you cross over the river coming from the Hinodecho sta. You hook right and walk down. About 2 hours passed before it was silent outside. She got her phone, turned it on and checked here messages and calls, then called her friend who told her it was safe for me to come out, but that she should stay.
I turned on my phone and texted my buddy, got dressed, paid the girl, got her number and went on my way. I grabbed my empty can of coffee and walked out pretending to not know what the hell was going on. I don't recall seeing any tori gates, but you just have to find the street that is full of soap lands. Off on a few of the small perpendicular side streets on either side you will see some of the booths. And they do look a bit like a ramen shop I guess. I have never entered one, but I imagine there's a room in the back. Perhaps someone else can elaborate about the booth system.

Sounds like you went to the right area. Sometimes the booths get shut down for a while by LE. A better time to go is early evening, and the booths are concentrated in the part of the block that is the most distant from the station (i.e. closer to the river). There are more younger women (mainly Koreans) than older ones, but if you look really hard you will find a few old Japanese women, if that's want you want.
following a heads up from lube it in the tokyo forum (li: thanks for that), i headed down to horinouchi today.
i hate following directions that involve sighting various landmarks and making turns based on this, ect, so i just looked up the location of the neighborhood itself on google maps and headed out that way. as has been said, it's tucked into the north-east corner that is farthest from the station and limited by two major thoroughfares. (someone mentioned that it goes on to the river, but i went to check it out and i didn't see anything else on the other side of the northern thoroughfare).
the booth action is much more like a smallish town in the netherlands (like say, den haag), than one of the rlds in osaka. in the northeast-most corner, there are about 10-15 booths, with 2-3 girls each. there are also one or two other booths rep001tered around here and there. there are also some old-school counter-top type storefronts, which is probably what the area used to be like (and is what the rdl in osaka's kujo is like now), but the ladies at those counters all look like aging housewives. (there's also a bunch of soaps, hostess clubs, and the whole assortment, but tonight i was only interested in places where i could see the action from the street.)
there were mostly young cute girls, and 2-4 genuinely hot ones. mostly koreans and a few brazilians(?), from what i could tell.

By the way, if you guys use Google Maps, although it's all in Japanese, if you click down to the lowest level (continue clicking on the location on the map, don't use the bar) they also have the street view. Don't know when they took the pictures, but for those that have been to Kawasaki, it shows the street during the day. The ones of Koganecho are from across the river, but you can still see the red awnings for where the booths used to be.

I went by on Sunday. The shack on the northern end of the alley had a broken window and a hand written sign in with two Kanji (家 proceeded by something I didn't recognize.)
Most of the booths were closed. A block of about 3 shops, maybe 7 windows, was open in the middle of the lane. The usually Koreans, all managed by the same group.

The Hinodecho red light district of Yokohama's been shut down now for several years. You can travel to the booths in Kawasaki supposedly for similar non-J-girl action. There are "bad girls" (non-J) supposedly near Kannai, but I've never been and haven't read anything about the system there.
If you're staying at a hotel in a central location -- near Yokohama Sta. or MM-21 / Queen Alice Mall area, and you have 30,000 or 40,000 JPY to burn, I highly suggest you blow it on one appointment with a gal from Asian Mystique or TokyoMeltyKiss. I would have suggested Club Boo 5 or 6 years ago for similar price & service, but not now. Of course the cops don't make the decisions to do raids and such on their own, but the fact that the cops did a clean up may mean that that area will be shut down for a while.

Just FYI but this was actually a campaign promise of the (former) mayor Nakada ( 中田宏 ). Said mayor has since resigned a few months back, some time after embarrassing details of him and a hostess were leaked. I've actually had a brief encounter with him and he's a nice guy, just unfortunate that he actually followed through with his promises to that extent.
They're trying to gentrify the former areas. In any case, for the time being you'll have to go to neighboring cities depending on what you want. If you have the money or just looking to catch a saucy show, Tokyo has a lot of choices.

Skinjob (your handle sounds naughty) . . . I never lived in Yokohama; I only visited on business trips. I found Hinodecho / Koganecho on my own (thanks to this forum) in 2002. I took a co-worker (a Westerner, like me, on the same business trip) for a walk through there on Saturday evening in spring 2002.
My co-worker was oblivious to the sex scene in Yokohama / Tokyo. To him, getting hounded by a Chinese massagie-girl for 2 blocks while walking around Yokohama Sta. was "excitement".
Well, when we walked block after block of the Hinodecho area (starting at Koganecho Sta. across from Sunkus), he was shocked with delight as I was. I've never been to Amsterdam, but that walk was the the closest thing to what I think the Amsterdam red light district would be!

In general, the booths in Kawasaki were much larger. I never spent time with a girl in Kawasaki that didn't pull out the timer. Hinodecho/Koganecho was different... most of the Thai, Colombian and Korean women did not use timers... that was mostly the Chinese. Never spanked a Russian chick during the glory days so I can't speak about them concerning timers. As a rule, service was far superior in Hinodecho/Koganecho than Kawasaki or Machida... my sexperience only... Easier to bargain with the Yokohama girls as well ... When the Koreans came in droves to the H&K area... spring and summer of 2004 as I recall, it looked like things would be hunky dory forever... but by the fall/winter of that year, the police hit the area hard and it has not recovered. So sad for a punter like myself.

Skinjob (your handle sounds naughty) . . . I never lived in Yokohama; I only visited on business trips. I found Hinodecho / Koganecho on my own (thanks to this forum) in 2002. I took a co-worker (a Westerner, like me, on the same business trip) for a walk through there on Saturday evening in spring 2002.
My co-worker was oblivious to the sex scene in Yokohama / Tokyo. To him, getting hounded by a Chinese massagie-girl for 2 blocks while walking around Yokohama Sta. was "excitement".
Well, when we walked block after block of the Hinodecho area (starting at Koganecho Sta. across from Sunkus), he was shocked with delight as I was. I've never been to Amsterdam, but that walk was the the closest thing to what I think the Amsterdam red light district would be!
Several times I missed the last train leaving Koganecho and had to walk toward Landmark Tower, then toward the Yokohama Bay Sheraton to get back to my hotel. Oh, what fun times!

Though not as large as the RLD in Amsterdam, the service you got at the H&K district was, in my humble opinion, much better than the Amsterdam scene... especially when you compare the lousy service usually associated with Western providers in the ARLD. The best providers, IMHO, in the AMRLD are the Asian ones ... the Greeks are also not bad but the Dutch and German ones want to charge you extra for all kinds of things that are basic to the service provided by the Asians.
In general terms, the best providers in H&K were:
1. Thai and Korean [two way tie]
2. Colobian
3. Chinese [though one of my ATFs was a Chinese provider named Maemae]
No opinion on the Nihonjin (they were rare in the booths) and Russians.

I have passed through Kawasaki twice this week. For some strange reason all of the "non-Japanese" booths were closed. I was surprised that today (Sunday) the booths were not open.

After not having been there for ages, decided to conduct some reconnaissance of the Horinouchi neighborhood. On Monday (yesterday) midday, it was pretty quiet, with the mainstay soaps constituting the bulk of business activity. The booths, as people have posted, were at that time staffed by larger, older and/or ugly (or combination of all three) women, but despite the preferred desirability of a line of Korean and other hotties who've been there in the past, in my opinion there was still sufficiently just enough on offer to compel one to do a booth session splurge. With what *was* there, ichi-man (no negotiable, reduced bargains to be had, unfortunately) bought an unhurried session (with no timers the Koreans and Chinese are famous for) with native Japanese. As others have noted, what's on offer there now might not be everyone's cup of tea, and it's sure not difficult to pine for the halcyon days of Hinodecho and Koganecho in Yokohama, or even Machida in its prime.
Strolling around Horinouchi again about 9 p.m. the same evening, some additional activity was noted: more ladies staffing more booths, spreading over more of the area blocks than just a few months ago, when most of the booths -- aside from the cluster housing the Korean hotties -- had been closed, as well as a new form of entrepreneurial action: Japanese touts having no compunction about waving a Japanese-speaking foreigner in to one of two information booth storefronts (one literally right next to the koban!) on the main Horinouchi street to offer a new service where one can choose from photos of decent J-women to meet in one of the nearby LHs. I didn't take him up on it, but thanked him anyway. The stated prices were not cheap, starting at 14,000 yen for 40 minutes, with a 2,000 yen "initiation fee" if I read it correctly, as well as a 2,000 yen "shimei" nomination fee if one chose a girl. Plus, the hotel was not included in that price, and the tout said no FS, only oral. So unless things progressed whereby consenual, secret FS happened anyway during such a session, for me it seemed rather expensive for what would essentially be a "hotel fashion health" routine (maybe it's on a par price-wise with Shinjuku's Kabukicho, but there you've got a ready supply of cheaper hotels like "rental rooms").
Yet on the other hand, to have touts so openly operating in Horinouchi -- with the likely backing of the local neighborhood association and the obvious mission to minister to any passing potential customer, most especially including foreigners (there seemed to be only one price list, not a higher one for foreigners) -- seemed, for better or worse, to be a breath of fresh air in that oft-times stale area usually or perhaps best known for excluding foreigners from the soap establishments. At night, the soap establishment touts were shouting doozo and irrashaimase as a foreigner walked past, but it wasn't certain whether they were (and a foreigner would just assume they were) just being polite to all passing foot traffic. With their history of rejecting foreigners, it seemed there was no point to actually approach them as a potential customer.
Back to the booth ladies: With more on offer at night, while one won't find jaw-dropping babes like the Tokyo metropolitan area days of yore (though they could take a nod from Okinawa's Maehara and Yoshihara booth zones and staff Japanese hotties throughout the Horinouchi booths, but such a move probably would undercut the business margins at the adjacent soaps staffed by those same hotties, as even in Okinawa the Tsuji soap district is geographically far removed from the booth areas), there was still enough there in Horinouchi in the evening for one in the mood to get their rocks off.
Some reform/rehab activity was observed taking place in some of the booths, so it appears that some booth landlords or owners -- while much of the neighborhood booths are still vacant and the neighborhood is a shadow of its former self of two, three or four years ago -- see enough business potential to sink capital improvements into their properties.
At any rate, take all this for what its worth; Horinouchi's still not the greatest thing since sliced bread or anything, but hopefully there's been some useful info included for some folks.

As I mentioned, when I went the booths were staffed by larger, older and/or ugly (or combination of all three) women, but there was still sufficiently just (barely, depending on my personal taste) enough on offer to compel one to do a booth session splurge if so inclined. I was told by one decent-looking lady that their shifts ran from about noon until midnight. With what *was* there, ichi-man (no negotiable, reduced bargains to be had, unfortunately) bought unhurried sessions (with no timers the Koreans and Chinese are famous for) with native Japanese, who if you looked hard enough among those on offer, equated to a decent-looking housewife type or two or three, who were, despite any monger personal-taste-based physical-appearance shortcomings, as service-oriented as one could expect and hope for in such a setting with the native Japanese (i.e., less hot than the Koreans or occasional Chinese who'd been there, or Thais elsewhere, but definitely more service-oriented and bent on making sure you're being taken care of properly with a touch of GFE, depending on the woman, and no timers but reasonable expectation that booths by definition are short-time affairs, though the initial price quote as always was ichi-man for 30 minutes).
One lady started with BBBJ and went to condom for insertion, while the other was condom all the way (but smelled nicer with soft skin, and was more skilled in terms of using her mouth to put the condom on and work it up from there); like anywhere in any mongering situation, some ladies are better than others for any number of tangible or intangible reasons; if you go in with the proper expectations -- knowing it ain't the glory days of Koganecho with a hot Thai chick who's not at all focused on the clock (ah, those memories!) -- you could conceivably have a nice time.
Mind you, Horinouchi is a far cry from what the scene even there used to be, but if you go with the mindset that even in better days, the J-housewife contingent on offer could range from horrid to actually fairly attractive (based on one's personal taste, of course), then there's a fair chance you could have an interesting Horinouchi experience even now.

well, we can only hope for the best. even in Hinodecho/Koganecho, there was new construction as well as rehabbing of the booths right up until the end, even if no action has occurred there for a few years now. and I've also noticed occasional rehabbing over time at the Kawasaki-Horinouchi booths, even amid the vagaries and ups-and-downs of the booth business activity in that neighborhood, which I'm guessing are due to the periodic crackdowns.
a few of the Koganecho spaces have reopened as small-size bars -- no sex, as one ex-booth girl proprietor lady told me, lest they risk major fines from LE. maybe ISG members can visit and try to pull some off-site action from such Koganecho bar mama-sans (or their associates) and report back? wouldn't get my hopes up that it's possible, but would be a fun research project. :cool:

I'm looking for some advice here from the area experts.
I went to Horinouchi yesterday (10/30/10) and after walking past many different places I decided to try one. Right away the doorman said "sorry, Japanese only". I nodded and continued down the street. Around the corner, I tried to enter another place. Same response from that doorman.
In my limited Japanese I asked which places would allow 'gaijin'. He said none. "zembu, No gaijin, sorry".
So, I walked by another block and could tell by the lack of eye contact from the doormen that I was going to get the same response.
I live near Machida/Sagamihara. So I'm open to anything in this area all the way up to Shinjuku (West Tokyo).
Just looking for a little Gaijin love. Soapland, Health Massage, even Deriheru at a love motel. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I decided to try to find Yu Yu. www.g-yuyu.com/main.html I got to Gotanda station and started walking towards the spot on the map and was trying to remember the directions from some post in here but did not have any written notes.
After walking around for about 45 minutes I gave up. I did got into a couple of other places but I was not welcomed there. One place located on the second floor here: (Google map coordinates) 35.624114, 139.722584 said no Gaijin but gave me a piece of paper, but I could not understand what it was, picture is attached.
I even tried calling the shop but could not get anywhere with my limited Japanese. I will be steeping up my Japanese lessons.
Later when I got home i found the post that had some pretty detailed directions. I will be attempting to find this place again soon.
Any help is appreciated.

It's just a coupon, which is dumb to give you if a) you can't read it and b) you can't use it. Probably the person who gave it to you had a quota of how many to give out, and just needed to get rid of it.

I was not feeling any of the other girls so he proceeded to show me two girls that was not on the website. One of them looked like she would be a pleaser, I was right and will be repeating with her in the future. The girl spoke some English and was asking me how to say certain things to help her with more Gaijin customers in the future. I asked her why her picture was not on the website and she replied that she is from the local area and doesn't want family or friends to find out what she is doing.

Yokohama is a wealth of action for gaijin as the two posts below report. There are a lot more out there including places that allow 3P. I utilize the two places listed below occasionally in addition to many others. Just remember be a gentlemen and realize he Fashion Health Salons do not allow full service. (Triple A is a Soapland and considered as an assisted bath house which operates under the guise the girl gives you a bath and what is done in private is between two consenting adults is legal. New to ISG but been "playing" around the globe for years. Been to Yokohama a couple of times late last year and just here now for two weeks. Been looking around and thought I'd drop a report in on the weekends activities.
I was staying in a hotel at Minatomirai and walked up to the Nogecho (Noge) area which was only a 5 min walk.

Will try again next weekend as the massage was great.
B : Massage place. Not sure of the name but they have a portable illuminated (and flashing) sign on the pavement. Again called and asked if Gaijin ok and got a yes but very little English. Arrived and two cute Japanese girls there. Selected the JPY10000/60min as she seemed to be trying to tell me there was more involved. Ended up receiving a nice massage with lots of stroking and good indications but when I turned over she said the 60mins was up (which it was) and that I should pay another 10k for the rest. E : Stacks of activity around here. Mostly asian, Chinese I think but certainly a few Japanese. Will have to go again as it started raining and I was starving so didn't get to experience any of the bars etc.

DAY 3.
Sorry for those you expecting a Hino-Kogane-cho report here but today I decided to shake things up by heading over to Turumi (next to Kawasaki).
I wanted to see the bike races but they were off today (this month?) so I had a curry then headed to see the RLD near Keikyu (sp?) station. Not much going on but I got talking to a guy outside one of the video shops who said he could get me in on the Pink Salon on the other side. Turns out the guy is Korean (lived in the States a bit) and he made the call and booked me in. Even drew me a map.
The place is called Poochy Mound (No Joke!) and it's right near the bus stop to the bike course. I paid 8k for 30 minutes with Mako (as in the shark) and she was a snaggle-tooth little dynamo. My wife had to wait until the trains were running but she got there at 7 a. M and once the police checked my I. The, he let me go (with a smile). Need less to say, I didn't tell my wife what happened (I said I got in a fight) but she could tell it was more than that. And this isn't the first time she's caught me out.
We'll go to Oki next week, but I'll keep it zippered up.

Finally after deciding to try one of these shop that would say "no full sex, ok?
I quickly learned that girls will do what they want as long as they are treated nice.
And again to me that does not mean giving extra money. When I play I usually only bring enough for what is advertised on the menu and enough to hit my favorite rice bowl shop afterward.
Since arriving here last year I have only paid extra money once because I had a very special request.
So that's why I say YMMV.

Went down to try out Triple A. The map on their website was fine. Got there was welcomed inside by the tout, but after 5 minutes sitting on their sofa the guy came back apologetic and smiling to tell me that there were no girls available for foreigners.
