Munch, I pm'd you about Hotel Leyva. well Hotel Hacienda de Santiago is owned by the same people, so I would trust them as well. for me Leyva is more than good enough at only 29 bucks a night. but Maybe I will try hacienda de Santiago soon. Guys, those of you who know my posts know that I am a more than reasonable person. Out of all the places I have visited in TJ, La Carretera is by far the biggest ripoff (outside of Avenida Revolucion, which is another story altogether). I don't know what attracted me to the this place to begin with, but I visited on three separate occaisons and all of them were negative. I generally like to get a number of data points before drawing any conclusions, and I can honestly tell all of you that there is absolutely nothing of any redeeming quality to be found at La C. The barkers are brash and full of big talking nonsese, the girls are sometimes hot, but go more dead fish than any SG I have ever been with, and even the waitresses (who sometimes can be hot) try to Ficha Fuck you to buy them drinks.

Wonderful, new, place, right on the edge of Zona Norte the prostitution zone. I took the most expensive room they had, which is the 5th floor, 2 king beds, nice kitchenette, plenty of hot water. $500 MN or $50 USD. They own another hotel right here in the zona. They are friendly though profession, the place is spotlessly clean, safe, chica friendly, and they look out for you. Nice view of the whole zona from my balcony which is great at night, like looking down on Sin City!
